About the show
Ken Milam was born in 1956 in Austin, TX and has been in radio as a DJ since 1986. Ken has been a full time Striper Guide on Lake Buchanan, Texas for the last 34 years and has been featured on numerous TV Hunting and Fishing shows. Ken has lived in Central Texas for over 56 years and Milam County is named after his great great uncle Ben Milam who helped with building of the Republic of Texas. Ken has also been published in many newspapers and magazines. The business owner of Striper Fever Guide Service Ken has taken thousands of people fishing over the years from the Austin and San Antonio area and elsewhere. Ken currently hosts “The Great Outdoors” and “The Sunday Sportsman” on AM 1300 The Zone. Each week Ken visits with guests who really know their craft, such as top bass fisherman Cody Briar, to discuss the latest innovations and equipment in the sport along with what is biting and where
