It turns out there is a not so subtle way stars have been letting us know that they are newly single it's with their straps and she hinson might be the latest led to do it. So during a recent appearance on the breakfast club to rise, did admit she was single. Here's what she had to say about her split from former NFL star Kelvin hated. The. Wow said it yet but it didn't work out. You know what I mean. Side I was like bear left do their thing. But if you're both not on the same page with that, then you feel like you're. Taking it on yourself at Mathematics Fair position for anybody to play in a relationship. she did it on a breakfast. Daddy's you already for everybody to know you were a single. Everybody I mean potential suitors as well Oh. Yes. One hundred percent because four. She made that announcement she started a little early because fans are already speculating. Something might have happened because last month after her fiftieth birthday celebration she posted some sexy bikini pigs and Calvin was not in any of the photo. She looking really hot. There's Chapman her way when you first trap is that kind of your deadwood say like guys I'm single just. I'm single at hot. I, mean I I feel like I I'm trying to think back to my last break up. Yes. For most people that is the move when you look like she does with trump even i. if I was happy in their relationship like I can't even believe that this woman is fifty years old like. That's the whole thing but I mean, yeah, I guess. So I feel like what she said was really true. You can't take on the burden of a relationship and if somebody's not going to put the effort with you the way you're gonNA put in the effort with them and finally you're like, okay Su this is my hot body for instagram else will take this on if you're not going to what hundred percent, I don't necessarily think that your thirst trapping to let people know you're single I think as human beings we need validation whether we get it at work or at home are. Like. Raji Behan is getting right now but I think you're going through a moment in your life and there's a big life change. You need that affirmation from people that it's going to be okay and that be you still got it. Again. Exactly what it is, it is a little like. Thirst trap he may be or even if it's not a bikini, you're right it's something that gives you like a positive look some makes you build your confidence because you've got a now face this new chapter in your life and your that confidence to do that, and it's the same way as back before the grab me call your girlfriend and They'll all say like you're so hot don't worry about it. You're gonNA find someone look at you. You're smoking yes. That's go out because I want all these guys have looked me and so I feel like, I'm smoking hot one hundred percent. Look let me be petty real quick because I tried to let people know that I'm single trap to the guy who I want the attention from that. Hey, I'm saying go and try to let the guy who broke my heart know that hey, I still got it body but everybody used to track back in the day before social media when you knew that your man was going to be at a wedding at a party. You yes. You're normally do you put on the heels. Be made sure your hair was like nicely qua-. People would trumpet in the ninety that was the best is. Did you get Morgan fact me up on this? You do all that work and for whatever reason the X. Show. I've let me let me explain to me. This is the give the audience life lesson that I have learned. No matter what you think his plans might be no matter how heartbroken you are you stick to what you were originally going to do. So you were going to go to the club and you heard he wasn't going you still go because then. He goes after and then you go I bit. They just happened to be so many times stick to your original plans and always look during breakup. No matter what. Then initiative you stick to your original plans and you divert you make sure you get met photo with that one friend who posts every? On the incident. Hold on let me look at that limit looking up. That's. The most fun and miserable time with my entire life. Totally one hundred percent. We all have to go through that phase in our lives I'm. Jamie Lynn Spears is getting real about getting pregnant at sixteen. So Jamie Linton talked to nylon about the Zilly one one reboot and how much her life has changed changed since the show went off the air in two, thousand eight, she says, she found out she was pregnant after the show finished and she was quote mortified to have to tell my parents this and my family this I do not care what TMZ thinks of. Other. CELEBS feel the same way it's it's not the world finding out. It's your family and your friends finding out. It's so interesting because for me if I was in that position, I really wouldn't. Be, so, scared to tell my family because I know they would love me no matter what and I know the support me they would be disappointed but. I would be more afraid to tell the people who worked on my team, my agents, my publicist, all those people who worked really hard to build this brand that was supposed to be so wholesome and was supposed to be one of these things teens looked up to those are the people i. We'd be more afraid to tell. I. would be also more afraid to tell the whole world because that's when the comments of all your insecurities to take over. Securities Will arise whenever you find your pregnant too soon or your self conscious about something or you've made a mistake and sure enough there's going to be a good good chunk of comments on your. Point those out exactly and you're like, yeah, that's how I was feeling. That's what I was worried about and I'm exactly right. I am going to get that hate I against the world that would be more scared of because you said it right most your family and friends. Disappointed they all come around especially when the babies born. They see the baby they say, Oh, you they rally run I mean if I went to my mom and said I was pregnant at sixteen I don't know how happy she would have been with me. She probably would have real I don't know what that would been but right she would eventually. I think have been. Okay. That woman's a little insane I don't know she would have been. So okay with I agree with you guys like your family at the end of the day. Loves you no matter what mistakes you make, and then the then the world judges you even if you say the wrong adjective on TV sometimes so You can't expect them.

"I scare. It's so great to talk to you after all this hard work on your film. It's it's it's really good to be here. So thank you so much for having me. Yeah, I. Mean, we're so we're so excited. I know this is your first frontline. So congratulations on making over the finish line with us together. It feels really good I to be honest I'm also a view or an an a big fan. So it's It's a real pleasure to be working with. Such a talented group of people. Thank you. So I I was hoping you could set the scene a little bit for us. This is an immigrant family from Guatemala and the Mother Zoo League. Is close to giving birth to her second child when she's hospitalized with the virus. So what happens next? So it's it's April first and was eight months pregnant and Kobe positive tool doctors determined that he had to be intimated to perform an emergency c section. Baby Mazel was born on April second baby was Kovic negative. The real problem here was that his father Marvin and his seven-year-old brother junior were also covid positive. So there was no way he could go back to that that that environment that was a real problem school. Before it being intimidated solution was able to. Ms. Luciana. Lira Luciana Lira is juniors. Schoolteacher and she said, help my son help my husband and my baby. Massad listen, Marvin I am willing to help one hundred percent I really do not know this family. Zilly just came to the United. States. I think a year ago and Marvin has been here for six years and junior is my bilingual student. And that's how I met them. When we were able to test marketing engineer, they were both Cova nine hundred positive. This baby would've not stand a chance if he went home with his father with Covid nineteen and junior. His, just a preemie baby. I think that that tells you so much about Miss Lewis character and and her her personality for you to receive a phone call like that I really need to take care of my son, my husband and my baby and she did I mean, can you imagine you received the phone call? She thought that it was a joke that that it was a prank I. Mean. What's amazing is actually that was the first footage of your documentary that we saw the really truly remarkable scene with MISL- era and the baby, and you know she's holding the baby and she's telling you this incredible story about why she took all of this on. To be honest I I'm living. Sure how? I was able to get that that access because she was not letting anyone in her house and she told me, Hey, not even my sister is allowed to be in here. And I'm like well, I'm going to try to be. Is Just GonNa be me I'm going to have a camera. Ms Lira trust me I'm going to try to be you know as cautious as I can be. I think just important that you share that story and I think she wanted to share this story otherwise wouldn't have been possible at all. I went to the hospital with Marvin. Wasn't easy because you know he saw his son for the first time. You couldn't even go him. To. US. And it really broke my heart. After going through such a big trauma not even knowing if your wife was gonna make it, do Pakatani communicated to be. A month of. On the Nights at the baby home. Right, maybe. It was amazing seeing those those early scenes that you had filmed. You know obviously, you guys didn't know how this was gonNA turn out and I remember talking to you sometime before mother's Day and you were telling us that maybe Suli we'd get her baby back. I mean you certainly didn't think it was going to go on for as long as it did was actually five and a half weeks. So tell me about the emotional journey that Suli and Marvin her husband were on you know I think that The story was so unexpected and it had so many twists that I think nobody was expecting it Ms Lear thought that she was going to keep the baby for maybe two or three days. It was very emotional to witness the lives of and Marvin all of them were were positive at that time and the pediatrician said if the baby is going to go back home. Everyone in that house need to test negative, otherwise, it can happen. So you can imagine that the minutes felt like ours you know in the our failed like days to them it was really difficult for for for Suli it was very, very difficult for her because she was going through a lot. You know she said that she had night Mertz pretty much every single night and that she she was not able to get any risk at all You know it's not easy. Imagine that that she said, I didn't have a chance to look at my son you know in I just have A. Faded picture of him and that the only thing I know they do a lot of video conferences. So to say, watts up, that was their main way of communication and missle era. You know she was sending videos every day calling them. You know just to make sure that that bond was was still there you know kind of like a virtual bond. That moment, but it's the law of mom. There was a very powerful connection and you can see it when you see in the scene when they when when she's holding the baby for the first time, I mean, it's just an electrifying moment.

Where the money from food stamps is actually going

"We begin today with news that is squarely squarely at the intersection of government spending social policy. Redel Reality and work. The trump administration announced this morning. It's going ahead Ed. With what's called a final rule that will tighten work requirements for the supplemental nutrition. Assistance Program. Snap as it's known food stamps as it sometimes referred to with unemployment so low the administration's thinking goes it should be easy for people to find work and the White House says this rule will save the government five and a half billion dollars over five five years. It's a decision not without controversy. Obviously on a lot of levels but it's also decision with real world economic impact because until now at five and a half billion dollars has gone to retailers. Marketplace's Merrill Sagarra gets most snap dollars go to a particular kind of retailer Craig. Gunderson teaches consumer economics at the University of Illinois NAP participants because they're on limited budgets will go to places that have less expensive food so so roughly eighty percent of staff benefits are spent at you know supercenters in large-scale supermarkets. You Know Walmart Kroger Safeway. The rule change will require more people to work at least twenty hours a week to get benefits which means fewer people will qualify. That's the point Ed. Bolan at the center on budget aged in policy priorities says according to the USDA about seven hundred thousand individuals will lose their benefits Those benefits on average about one hundred sixty five of dollars a month for this population so certainly the places they go. We'll see a drop in their business. Food retailers often pay their workers so little little that they qualify for snap and need it to survive. Also those workers schedules tend to be erotic and part-time James ILIAC directs the University of Kentucky Center for Poverty. Dirty research he says the new rules could make things harder for those workers in one week they might be satisfying work requirement. But then the next week the firm says well you know we don't need you or we only need you for ten hours then. Suddenly they're in violation of the work requirement for that week Zilly says retailers might feel some pressure to consistently instantly give workers at least twenty hours a week so they stay eligible for the snap benefits. They may even be spending at their own stores. I'm MARYELLE SAGARRA FOR MARKETPLACE I.

"You know what I mean. Oh <hes> where that's where I WANNA go. I knew I should send me to Bangkok. I'll tell you like well. The streets a little sketchy damn and if I didn't get the Best Pad Thai I've ever had in my life. You know let's do it to it. Okay look it. Okay Yeah Okay so we actually bonded to because you lost your mom I did and it's been interesting you you know you. You sent me the sweetest message you're just like. It's a really interesting time in your life to try and navigate it. Is You lost your mom. How long ago it'll be seven years on June twelfth and so feels like yesterday doesn't it? Oh it's still the worst I start getting nauseous about two days from now on I stay that way until the anniversaries over yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah it. Just it's weird. People say like it gets easier with time like no. It doesn't get easier time. I actually think it gets harder because I had like a nervous breakdown the other day where I was like Oh my God it's almost been it's been three and a half years since I've heard my dad's voice but then I realize you just have to find your new normal you do yeah and I think you go. I went through a phase like two years ago where I couldn't remember certain things about her like Zilly things that other. People wouldn't know and I had a massive panic day where I was like right and I can. Why can't I remember what her favorite food was right? You know and and it's like this panic of are they like. Are you gonNA eventually forget them. Yeah Joan it all flooded back and it was fine. It was just like a day in a moment in an or whatever but I do find that it gets yeah. It doesn't get easier just gets different on father's day kind of started. This thing called the Dead Dad Club because when my dad died couple people reach out to in like hey welcome to the club the club in there can be deadbeat DADS. They're Gabby you know weird. Stepdad's named Darrell that you're not fond of yeah still dead dead dead club yeah so anyways so try to do something on father's Day were hanging out with other people but it's just you know holidays where yeah you don't realize like I'm so glad I saw my mom and my father's Day. I just KINDA WANNA lose my mind yeah lose my mind. Mother's Day is complicated for me too because I have my kids right and so it's such a beautiful like wonderful day but I also don't want a lot to happen because I like to leave space for myself to also feel her absence totally and it's hard for me and like if somebody was like Oh and you're going to go here in your brunch with those big. I think there's a part of me. That would be like pleased on. Put me in that situation right. I can't like feel whatever I'm gonNA feel from moment to moment. It's just one of those things is an interesting when you go through a loss like that you realize oh I felt like I was finally feeling like I was a well rounded rounded person and the fact that I've okay now have experienced such joy but have also experienced such laws and I'm like I've felt things in my body. I didn't know where they are completely now. Yeah it. It really is like the most tragic thing but there is something beautiful. All that happens to you that you like. It just puts a lot of things in perspective perspective is the biggest thing what did you learn from a perspective on everything everything I have felt such deeper like my joys deeper. Yes sorrow sorrow is deeper. My love is deeper. My forgiveness is deeper my compassion. My empathy like everything has just gotten deeper and it took losing her for that to happen so I I do feel grateful. Even though that sounds weird to say no it doesn't sound at all of that experience you know I'm so forgiving now yeah and it's been hard. It's been an interesting weird kind of you know relationships with other people who haven't gone through that Yeah Adele. They won't let things go or they're like bitter towards somebody else. Let go you literally. You can get struck by lightning tomorrow. Let go yeah and I just kind of live my life like that and I have a dear friend of mine who we had a falling out and I tried to repair it and I was like listen..

But it's on the next rankings ground beat a mandatory on a native could make him could they make they make that final eliminator. I've seen craziest shit especially with the WBO tie-break Anne, Frank Warren. I mean what that means raising. I don't think that they're going to dealing sirloin being passed about in. That meeting was going to happen is is going to end up being theory in dealing wi- for the final eliminated for WBO. If. That you'll make it that tough for fury. Man. They got that, bro. Yeah. Look at yard yard going straight at Cobra with the Frank in route why fury stop at DeLeon white. You don't think? Series running them before Mike. So he's like he's running on before he's taking a number two. So if you did it. House with his Bando. There's still the possibility like that's still like one of those. I just think that they won't they won't. We thought it was going to read us and showing us they not. So why would they waste dealing wi- on Tyson fury right now they need to build. Both. Those guys up is true. If they just science I severely. I mean, they just signed dealing dominant with with with Tyson fear where they don't believe in size and fury is just simple. They going to build that fight up because that's what the two top heavyweights. They got I would assume that anyway. Real quick the guy coming up second round KO against the guy who was seventeen last last three fights. They all ended in in stoppage. Four fight ended in a do q him some looking at larrys, they're all being stoppages Minnesota. I mean, he's coming off coming off like a little hot streak and his biggest opponent is avocado. Bakun me. I know you've heard of that name the. NBA? See you are never heard of that you should trust me number your share. But you're this is big opponent. This most number name that I've seen. "That leads them on a path that Jimmy and miles as Eli, Jimmy Lai go on this road trip and they meet Zoe Kravitz along the way playing Millie. As they just have this kind of. It is a Seifi family road trip action movie. All of those things sound weird, but they work in this film. James, Franco as Taylor is chasing them down the whole time based on some situations that Jimmy got into James Franco plays this thing like the same way the entire movie, which is great heat is kind of deranged out of control yet maniacal and somewhat clever of not gang leader. For lack of butter term, you know, gang leader and he just he wants to hunt them down. He stays on that crazy note from the first time we see him through the entire movie, which is awesome. So there's a really good choice. Zilly Kravitz is also great in this. There's a scene where she is dancing though. Okay. So you are a good actress. I like you and stuff. You're gorgeous while she cannot dance at again. It just I make the comparison to riana a lot. We're in old videos ran would be dancing, the camera quickly cut away to some other dancers who made it look really good background for like two seconds. And then back the other dancers year, that is kind of what happened in this movie. Zoe. Kravitz is great. It just, yeah, there's a senior. She's a dancer that is not believable at all because I'm like what you are. Okay, sure. We would just go with it is it is a plot device to get you where you need to go. Sure the sound design of this movie. So the scores actually done by by mog y, who is an artist that some people would note as a Scottish kind of post rock band. They, I'm not sure how much they were involved in the sound design outside. Of the actual score. The sound design is phenomenal. In this movie from the futuristic sound that the gun makes to the tech that the futuristic people have. Very careful about certain things. Future's people have everybody from like walking there. These, these sounds that kind of emanate from the back speakers, the kind of vacuum into the front speakers that has just really, really clever, so great sound design shot. Just like an indie movie should be shot. They spent the money in the right places and everything looks great. Like this looks like one of those indie films that you do not believe how the budget had because it is shot. So, well, there are some great angles or great lighting choices. One of the clips from the trailer. You see, Eli, standing in a club and they're like these pink lights that form a tunnel behind him really clever. The action set pieces are great in this. There is a a reveal at the towards the mall, not towards the a reveal at the end. That was awesome. That I kind of heard rumors about before the screening, but yeah, super impressed with with that kind of again, the other two movies I've talked about had pacing issues. This one does not. This one is also almost two hours an hour, forty five, but everything is structured in the right way in the best way to tell this type of story. And I was just, I was really impressed. Let me see what else I wrote down. But yeah, I mean, to go from the short film and to keep the same aesthetic from the short film to the big or to the feature length movie with a bigger budget and for still feel the same universe, the same creative direction with significantly more money hats off to the Baker brothers. So if you're gonna tell ready what my rating is going to be..

"And and it wasn't easy like they wanted to cast a white girl as the lead. Yeah, so I can't be too hard on the creators. I don't blame them for not making something that's Representative of all of us. I kind of blame Asian America to some degree for propping this up giving it a burden that it can't really hold or can't really bear the weight of first of all you underestimate me and my daughter, the watch you act like we didn't watch this on Friday and my tire, my entire Friday night wasn't built around seeing this. You did you like it actually did like it? I didn't think the lead actress was very good at. That's the best part of the little bland. Like I, I want a better acting from her. She just kind of a blank look at her face all time. I thought everybody else, and it was really good. Zilly Legat not only did she like it. She did a dance around the living room after his over the queer. She was gonna watch it twenty more times. Great. Yes, she, you know, she's been on this podcast talking about what she needs from. A Netflix ram calm in this hit. A lot of the check marks. She. She likes people that shouldn't be dating. She likes when when something gets out it, it did. It was very smart how it was executed. But yeah, I thought I thought the lead. So you like the lead actress? I thought the lead actress was bland. I thought she was the best part really, actually liked the movie a lot better than crazy rotations. It looks. It's more it's better made, and I thought the pacing was a little bit slow, but it's, you know, it's not for me. So I thought I thought the net flicks movie was legitimately solid and my wife and my daughter absolutely loved it. Like they will watch it multiple times. Everyone likes it. So you know, I think it's going to be a hit at least for the Waie crown. Well, my question is because we saw this happen with with black movies and TV shows in Hollywood. Recently, you have these successes and then and then all these idiot Hollywood people look at ago we should kind of get into this, you know, and like blackish was a big success and get out was. Big success and black klansman just now has been a big success. Not that Spike Lee needed a push recently, but you've seen Hollywood kind of move into that territory because they've been able to figure out a way to have an impact make money. And the reality is there's a huge audience out there that's underserved and it. Yeah, you would think that's the same thing for the Asian American audience. And I'm sure the light bulb is starting to go off right now for it. Totally. You know, I think for blacks though, they're probably like thirty years ahead of us as far as like the breadth and of what a and the range of of black entertainment. So I was actually talking to a friend of mine too, who said the next Asian American movies kinda fucked because are we all going to support it the way we did this one. I mean, it's like it's kind of like there's now a lot of pressure on the next Asian American film, and if it's going to be a movement and not a movie and all of the jargon that we've been using. Would seem like the move is to make either movie or TV show that people would at least have to go. Did you see it? Right. Did you see you didn't say it? What did you think? And as long as you get into the what you think mode of of whatever you're doing, it's gonna work. So my guess would be especially so the the one to watch Netflix six, right? Because Netflix has the algorithm and if something works, they will beat it into the ground and do ten more ideas just like, and it's not an accident. Like when you watch the hor- move is that they do that. There's a basilic type of horror movie that they realize works and people cook on it. So they make more of them and they either produce their own or they buy them or they promote them or whatever. But I was joke about how it's the the something around the house, something wrong with the house or don't go in the attic and or the our little girl is acting weird, what's wrong. And it's just like these different types of things that..
