Interview With Conversation Design Institute co-founder And CEO Hans van Dam

"Odds van damme. Welcome to the voice by podcast. Thank you so much for having me. Okay so you are. The head of the conversation design institute. Why don't you tell the listeners. A little bit more about what that is just to get them started and then we'll talk a little bit more about how that all came to be. Yeah so conversation design institute. What we do is really recognize develop and promote the role of the conversation designer. So we sort of envisioned at every enterprise in the world is going to have a department. That's going to work on a assistance whether it's chat bots voice assistance and are all going to have people designing these conversations. Deploying them and managing them So we really recognize that as a serious profession and together with the industry. Really try to figure out you know who's going to be working at department. What's the skill set that they need. And then we develop content for that so we have courses. We have a certification program And that's really how we try to position ourselves in the market as the leading training and certification institute for designing versions. Okay yeah that's great okay so for the listeners. Now they have that context. But you didn't just arrive at the conversation designed institute is like the first thing you've ever done so tell me a little bit about how you how the conversation zayn is came to be but like your career and how you move forward. You were just mentioning to me. You thought when you were younger pre university that you thought you might be a writer That's straight into economics. And and i think writing came back a little bit. Yeah that's that's that's definitely true. So for when i was in university i i went to university of amsterdam thinking that was going to be really studying economics and then i got more interested in philosophy literature and just started reading a lot and i was writing fiction short stories and i. I really thought. I want you know was going to become a writer a novelist and wrote a manuscript. Send out too much publisher Publishers stay did not agree with that vision So when it was time to actually get a job. I got interested in copywriting. So it's like what's something related writing. What does that mean so ended up as a copywriter at a startup. incubator through. Ace venture ops part of mit stanford v latte so. So i was helping out these different startups helping them with the proposition and writing copy for them but allow me to then learn about technologies. Well so got more interested in in the tech space Join a little startup. There was doing some video streaming completely failed so when that story ended it was time to get different. Jobs ended up in customer service really as a quick job doing social media for kayla dutch airliner. So fire go into airline and customer service. Exactly so that's it doesn't get better than that and the company though is involved there with see x. company which was a chat bot company Acquired by siham a couple of months ago so i joined. cx company and Day were doing still virtual assistants whereas like you and a so. You'd ask a question they probably would not answer The old school things on a website and all of a sudden like everybody wanna chat bots and got interested in that and became more conversational. Cx company at the time didn't really know what that meant for the content. Their clients had no idea what that meant. And for me is like i always wanted to write dialogues and know from fiction writing understood. The technology understood the service space for me. It became very logical to actually focus on that problem. So i started doing this freelance at a bunch of clients and then i met my co founder and they had a an agency and behavior design so they were a psychologist thinking really about how people interact with products designed design for certain behavior and made a ton of sense. Because they were already doing stuff with conversational interfaces as well and we really. We realized that if you have a conversation between an artificial brain on a human brain you know you should make psychology and technology equally important in all right and so we. We started playing around with that and we had an agency was called robo copy at the time so so we just got a bunch of clients got more experience about designing conversations Started a little academy which is really focused on chat bots and Got in touch with google. Wally brill that that reached out to us and he really took us under his wings. And explain there's a lot of the fundamentals of voice design and connected with other designers So that got us more experienced gutters to work with you know the best designers in the world and and learn from there and as we went on that journey we really saw that the education was a big part of it So we created the academy and now mission or honest. Really that you see that enterprises are looking for conversation. Designers does lots of people that are actually designing conversations. But there is no alignment job title skill sets. It's very fragmented service. Enterprises can't find designers designers can't promote themselves very well tech companies on the other hand. Don't really know who's going to be using the products and how to design freedom universities at university at the same time note that i have to train people for jobs in the future Don't really know what jobs are so. We really tried to seek alignment now in an industry of conversation design. Therefore for conversation design institute was a name more suitable for that as well. So that's really how. I went from failed novelist conversation driver

The Story of Auld Lang Syne

"Well when this time of year rolls around you probably will hear one song and one song in particular seemingly over and over again. Quick note here. I was listening to my christmas traditional songs. And i kept hearing it. But what song am i talking about. Well i just told you old. Elaine sign it does have a rather big nostalgia meaning to it and along with it here in the united states. A bit of sadness and usually marks an emotional scene or we action. The song. old lang sign was originally written in scottish. When taken apart and put back together again. An- actually means old long sense and is translated yet again to mean all times sake or for the sake of old times this song that is mostly sung and means the emotional conclusion to another year. And don't we need that. It also means that one must remember people from their past and raise a toast to them. Originally it was written many many years ago as a scottish celebration song. Old lang zayn is actually a scottish language. Written by robert burns in seventeen eighty eight and set to the tune of a traditional folk song. But did you know that. In the netherlands. It is a soccer anthem and in japan. It is a song about firefly's and and south korea. It was the national anthem until nineteen forty eight. It is known as being easily adaptable and mostly all musical styles. That is why it is so cool but at its core it is well known and many countries especially in the english speaking world. It's traditional use. Being to bid farewell to the old year at the stroke of midnight on new year's eve it is also sung at funerals graduations and as a farewell or ending to other asians the international scouting movement in many countries uses it to close jamborees and other functions and a little note here when i was watching the crown on netflix day. Sung it when they said goodbye to the prime minister. Certainly most of us know the song old lang zayn but to quote from the first stanza of the english version of the james watson ballad. Here it goes should be aware since be forgot and never thought upon the flames of love extinguished and fully past and gone is thy sweetheart now grown so cold that loving breast of nine the thou cast never once reflect on old lang zayn in scotland. It is common practice that everyone joins hands with the person next to them. To form a great circle around the dance floor at the beginning of the last verse. Everyone crosses their arms across their breast so that the right hand reaches out to the neighbor on the left side and vice versa win the tune ends everyone rushes to the middle while still holding hands when the circle is re established everyone turns under the arms to end up facing outward with hands still joined in countries other than scotland. The hands are often crossed from the beginning of the song at variance with scottish custom. And did you know. The scottish practice was demonstrated by queen elizabeth second at the millennium dome celebrations for the year. Two thousand some press outlets berated her for not properly crossing her arms. She was unaware that she was incorrectly. Following the scottish tradition and because of its easy tune and melody it was also used as a song to signify for the war to end having the title. I wish the war was over and it was a popular anti-slavery song entitled fling out. The anti slavery flag both were using old anxiety as the basis for those songs. If you listen closely you can hear the song all lang sign and many movies too. Well did you know that these movies are we willie winkle a nineteen thirty seven. Shirley temple movie when her character sings to console a dying soldier. Mr smith goes to washington the nineteen thirty nine movie. Ocean's eleven the original of nineteen sixty as background music and the poseidon adventure one of my favorites that was made in nineteen seventy two ghostbusters and nineteen eighty nine. When harry met sally in nineteen eighty nine as well forrest gump in nineteen ninety four and elf and two thousand and three and most notably the very last song that is in the movie. It's a wonderful life with jimmy stewart. It is after all probably the best feel good ending in a classic movie ever with plenty of emotion for the main character at the last scene of the movie which brings george bailey the main character to tears as he acknowledges how great life really is and it is always at the stroke of midnight composer guy lombardi would play it on the radio and continued the tradition for fifty years afterwards. Dick clark took it up to play at the stroke of midnight on. Dick clark's new year's rocking eve. Every year and new york city as the big ball dropped at the stroke of midnight but after dick clark retired from the show ryan. Seacrest did the same at the stroke of midnight every year. They all had something in common with playing the song. It was an remembrance of those that came before and at the same time to mark the new year. All the fans and celebrators would sing along to the classic song so this year twenty twenty when the clock strikes. Twelve a m sing along to this classic song. Even if you don't know all the words we are indeed saying goodbye to twenty twenty

"Roddy so small. Watch this today. I mean the market con of played. What are we not. I mean we. We certainly saw off Throughout the session in fact from the break of yesterday's law yesterday now the die before we move roughly three percent low so you know it was continuing that selling momentum it was starting to increase in the price of which it was coming off but then it reversed and now we've got bullish candles now. The interesting thing for mayo. The most important thing for me is how far we recovered from the low. All of the die we recovered about five point four percent now as much as the only closed off what it close up one point two percent. It's way price came from. Its reading the information accessible on that shot but that candle align its tokes to make it says a lot to me and it's now bullish candle. It's in the cradles. Aren't certainly not a crime. Tried from our point of view given the fact that we do not have that wonderful. Simplicity fantastic trend. But it's there The two days also in that cradles iron as well now not decide that they want further not at all but if we were to move higher i six three. I think thousand six hundred thirty We go to break but this looks like the market is still a little bit on will at wants to do and that the guy in comes from that daily candle it was selling off it had broken. The pride is low. it was. The friday was down. Four point five percent down over three percent at one stage there yet. We bounced back. I want to look at the journey of bitcoin. What it did throughout that some threat session. All to for example there was a little high low in ohio and of course it's not the cleanest clearest transnational another trend that. I'm looking to try but a detroit. Sell off a guy from the cradle zayn and filed. It did not get to move law. The market decided out to the market saw that not. We're gonna continue to move higher. All is it just david pullback before the next ditlow these are things that are right now right now. I certainly still short tried. I have a couple of the that are their modest but a guy. It's the clarity of direction is just not really strong right now especially given yesterday's selloff in pull back up to closing strong will was closing strong close than where it was at its lows of course and of course the ball. We've got something very similar again. Bitcoin was up one point. Two percent closed. I ten thousand five hundred forty. Where now down point four four hundred and seventeen and not ready telling me too much a guy like i said the The cape point ready. The high obviously is closed. Eighteen thousand six hundred thirty bragged that with what you see it. Climb back towards nineteen thousand but again the the there is not a real strong confirmation there of trend on a theory actually looking for short. Yes tonight closed up three point four percent and the guy just to talk you through. I will let kendall tells me from. Its lies to its close. It recovered point full sent. That's my main fate. That's a big move under though it didn't close up three point six percents nothing to be studied that Dying in that cradles the two days still hanging in there with could continue to console it for a while but if the high of yesterday's candle for seven twenty six we might see further nothing really special that exile pay close up four point two percent yesterday which ends up being recovery was on its lies. Fifteen point five percent a big recovery from excel pay still continues to be a quad volatile. Dies saying some big moves up and down quite frequently. There are fifty seven point six cents carney game and one percent today so far with them only just opening about forty minutes ago Bitcoin cash. I'm not really interested in bitcoin. Cash still back within that channel and it's very messy now. It closed up point full of percents stick with the same fame That was a recovery from its lies of five point six seven percent where two hundred and sixty nine dollars right now which is flat on the lot going closed up point five of a percent and as much as there are lower highs and lows and a twelve hour clearly showing downtrend. There's no notebook leah a great short traits to meet the staging a guy and just requires a little bit more patients and two white to say if that market can deliver. What is that. We're off to in terms of confirmation of direction. A guy from its lawyers to where it closed way recovered seven point five percent at seventy seven dollars and eleven so right now down point four percent on the day Still busy guy. Still very messy shot up point three percent yesterday. The recovery on yesterday was fox. Six percent there's not much interest for me for aol. Still it's just not ready. Got himself in any sort of position to be. I guess capturing more tension to eighty rot now. This one of the closed down it closed down one point six two percent now the recovery for they a very messy job was also six point two percent. It's a very horrific looking shot. It is really really ugly. It's lacking a great deal. The four there is a down trend. somewhat it's just not very good in. It's not a child i'm really Sorry considering for any directional trading he hundred sixty nine ninety four Cost to buy one right now. bonnets pulled back the twenty seven dollars closing the One point seven percent which also recovery was from its lows on that support roughly around about full point seven percent. It's the only one in the top ten currently up at some point one of the percents not a great deal and at the twenty eight dollars and nineteen cents a game. A market looked trend. Number four is not bad but without support twenty seven. It's not one that i'm going to be. I'm able to thrive myself out. If i'm honest. Cow donna no no the daily it was up. It was well full point eight percent at a giant recovery from its lies and thirteen bounce back. Thirteen point eight percent from its To where it closed a guy hip. It is a bit choppy. It is a bit messy much assignments. You pretty much majority of the market. There is potential for a shorts It's just it's the now that's really the one that would have more attention more than any of the other time frames at this stage but a guy white for that confirmation. Fourteen point six cents is what will cost you to baucau donna right now which is down point. Six seven of sent yesterday for lake. It was well a three point. Eight percent and the recovery from its lows. It isn't a bit of a downtrend. Rotten handle the smoothest but today recovering from life is nine point six percent of a strong rejection of those laws which is pretty much saying across the entire market yesterday so much we have seen a little bounce off. We're gonna continue haro Pullback for more down with momentum

6 strategies for a Landing Page That Sells Out Your Product with Reese Spykerman

"Reese say what's up to a fire nation and Shearson interesting about yourself that most people don't know. Hello fire nation. Thank you so much for having the on Jail D. and you know here's my interesting tidbit. Burger? King is one of my secret weapons that makes me a marketing triple threat, my degrees in journalism. I spent more than a decade doing website design today Mary's Zayn copywriting business strategy students and hundreds of business and people including a couple of your past guest Burnett Jiahua and Chris Gil Ball. So okay. What's the deal with the Burger? King? It's my second office away from home. It actually makes me better at what I do because I get to observe how everyday people behave the more. We can objectively observe and understand people. The more we can build our emotional intelligence, not just as marketers, but as human beings to I thought personally you. WanNa talk about how they're flame broiled. Marketing campaign was such a good differentiator between McDonald's and Wendy's and all the other things and I thought that was part of inspiration. But I'm glad you went that way. It's so important fire nation to be amongst the people to go out into the world to see to hear to observe and very importantly to listen listen and as I told you. Earlier fire nation during the INTRO WE'RE GONNA be talking all about the strategies free landing page that will sell out your products. So this is where you're an expert. This is where you are an acknowledged leader I want to dive right into this topic. So first off just break it UAE is a landing page such valuable tool for any product based business a landing page when it's done well, it has the potential to move and even sell out your products more so than your main website can do for. You and this works whether you're in the physical ECOMMERCE product space or you're selling digital products and listen up all you service based business owners who are listening today you too can leverage some of the strategies were going to be talking about. But back to a product based business, you can use a landing page for everything from highlighting, morning your bestsellers and pushing that product even harder for more sales to trying to move a product that you're struggling to get sales for the conversion rate of a well-designed. Landing. Page tends to be higher than that of a home page or a main website like here's an example. One of my clients had a conversion rate on her main website of around like to four percent we added a landing page. It has an average conversion rate of about fourteen percent but listen this is cool. That's actually fairly conservative I've seen studies and examples where Nalayini pages are converting at twenty percent thirty percent or higher depending on your product, your market, and of course, how well you do it. When you tie it to a an advertising campaign, you can send this really focused targeted traffic to page. They're gonNA come into that paid hot. They're going to have a specific expectations versus a customer who comes to your main website and they're like Hey I'm just trying to do some research about your business. So here's the thing for any of your audience listening who've been investing paid traffic they're. Just, sending people the main website they're going to likely see a much bigger bang for their advertising buck. If they drive that pay traffic to a landing page that uses some of the strategies that we're going to break down today fire nation I mean, we're talking about a five to seven x higher conversion, and that's on the conservative side and I can completely buy into this because listen websites can. Be Busy. They can be confusing they can be daunting like there's so much stuff on there. There's like about me pages, there's pictures, there's quotes, there's pop ups, all these things people are like Oh my God like what is going on here whereas the landing page can have one clear objective and whatever that objective is to sell to convert whatever that might be a simple. It's clear and it's the. Only thing. A lot of times that the individual can do on that page. So you're either going to leave and do nothing or they're gonNA actually do something on that page, which is what you want them to do to convert. So what does make a landing page different from just a regular old fashioned wordpress website? Well, you kind of broke it down pretty well, it's what I do, what do reese. Syria rate what you sat and expand on it a bit look your main website. It's general it's broad. It's you know it's usually building brand and product awareness, and if you are in a product based business like ECOMMERCE, it may function as your main hub for people who buy from you'll repeatedly but compared to your mainland impeach it has so much noise and clutter as jailed just told. US You have all these differing goals and actions. You're asking a visitor to make on your regular website, and so what happens is people come into your website and there is going all over the place. If we think about their mindset and the bar browsing path, they might take. It's going to look like a lazy Sunday meander going off on various paths they might see a creek on. The right, and they're like, Oh, I, WanNa go check out that stream. So you can optimize your website. There's various ways you can do this and boost your conversion rate, but I really love when I'm working with a new business to focus on building a landing page because what happens is they can often get quick revenue wins they can use that revenue and apply it to their main. Website and then do bigger tweaks over there. It can take longer to overhaul your main website, but a well written well, designed landing page is like giving your visitors are really linear path and a map that you're guiding them along from point a to point. B. As you kind of said. So let's look at an example. You know if we're thinking about a product, let's say you sell handbags. And you had a category listing page with hundreds of different hand handbags for your customer sort through. She's got a sort through them make decisions about them. Every decision she's gotTa make even subconsciously fatigues her, and when she finally gets to a page for the handbag that catches her eye, she has even more decisions to make like what color should I choose what size should I choose but If, you were to take the same thing and apply landing page to it. One strategy might you might do is say, all right I'm GONNA take a brown laptop bag I'm going to eliminate all these other choices. This is one of my bestsellers I'm GonNa make a landing page just for it. You drive traffic to it and suddenly this. She doesn't have to scroll through all these other choices on your main website. She gets right to this brown laptop page and. It's very focused, and so a main website look you're going to have all these decisions, these noise, these goals, your customer has to sort through her brain and inner browsing process but an effective landing page it removes all that for her all these decisions they're gone. All she has to do is decide do I want this brown laptop bag

'Grateful': Gigi Hadid welcomes baby girl with Zayn Malik

"Gi Hadid had her baby again. Zane Malik confirmed it. You know, this is the celebrity thing right now is to post a photo of your baby's hand. Around your hands, which I think is sweet because it gives people a glimpse of the baby and proves that the baby actually exists. But you don't have to show the baby space and a lot of super celebrities don't really want to do that. And that's fair. But Zane Malik, who is Gigi Hadid's Boyfriend posted. Our baby girl is here healthy and beautiful to try to put into words. How I'm feeling right now would be an impossible task and just went on and said, thankful for the life we will have together. It was a very cute New dad post,

The Rise of V/One

No Code No Problem

The Rise of V/One

"Be talking about a new player in the Space v one and the rise of e one, right So. They are a new. No Code. Mobile APP. And they boast as erode learning curve. So that's what they've been. You know hyping themselves up to be. But recent hype suggests that V. One is the next big player in the space with investments from notable individuals like Jason Calkins. They have been building momentum through twitter as they seem to be replicating Elliott's Hi Benji. this is not always a good thing as I used Elliott in it really was just hype. So the question is will be one fizzle out and carry the same disappointing launch the Elliott did. I don't believe so in here's my wife. So number one. The founder so Jeremy. Redmon. The founder and CEO v one is one of the most passionate people that I've ever met. Especially, when it comes to his company, so know he would fight tooth and nail for the success of you one and. Really, focused on giving a true experience Paul has users as he is no coder himself. And it is clear that he's passionate about customer service and the success of his users while that doesn't scale on one level I think it will set them apart especially at first and they'll be able to use that as a catalyst to shoot them until competition in the next six months and I. think that's where they differentiate themselves from all the other mowatt builders that are popping up. Number two is I have seen in used the product. So Jeremy sent me a demo of the product. After we first talked in capabilities and it boasts a short user experience an easy to use drag and drop block to build out your APP and part of the. Zero. Learning curve is you can build out it from scratch rate using buttons, texting all of that, or you can build using full screen modules. So not only do I think that it is unique to code space, but they are adding features by the week with the most recent feature actually being released recently in they dropped a thing on twitter about it and it's a canvas integration with images and buttons. So the in-app version of Cambe opens up giving you the ability to Zayn full screens or images or whatever you want at your APP and publish them into your APP with a single click. So that's pretty big considering. To my knowledge there there's nothing like this out there right now. So that's pretty pretty bad ass, and I'm excited to see how people use that. And then number three is too big to fail. With investors like, Jason Cal Kansas from launch and other prominent firms backing be one. It provides us with a sense of assurance and it's clear some of the most influential names in private equity support and believe in the future of this product. So I have to ask myself why should I and I'm not GonNa lie I had very similar thoughts with Elliott as the community rallied around them, even though the majority hadn't even seen or interacted with the product. And but I I would say given the other two pillars I believe the ones legacy will be much greater than theirs So you know while Elliott had also raised a significant amount of money and had a group of supporters like no other, they had a lot of negatives bogging them down with the way they publicly handle things and I think V. One I've I've already seen. They've they've handled things well. So I think V. One, will succeed based on the combination of the three pillars above and I'm really excited to watch them grow and launch with their upcoming Hackworth on August fifteenth which they said is there soft launch? For underrepresented founders and it's a five hundred dollar cash prize you get unlimited access for seventy two hours and then on. August twenty seventh I believe that's like their full launch and that'll be their public launch in their second act thon for anyone who wants to be involved, and that's another seventy two hours with another five hundred or cash prize. So they have some big things coming up, they have some partnerships with no code space and with underrepresented. Groups organizations in Ohio. So yeah I I think that they're that they're really on the right path and I'm excited to see how they end up in two to three months with their customer success that they're focused on customer success, and then also with you know the easy to use builder because they're targeting really no code people compared to you know. People that kind of have technical knowledge rights they're going for those that are too lazy to learn a learning curve.

‘The Bachelorette’ Casting Shakeup Expected for Upcoming Season

"And I know we don't normally cover bachelor bachelorette stuff but this one thing kind of just took our interest and personally having watched bachelor in paradise. I have a real liking towards Teixeira. So we just wanted to discuss because I think it's interesting. So. As you guys know Clare Carly was the Bachelorette her season of course was interrupted with the whole Cova situation. And nothing is confirmed with basically the rumor is that she refused to continue shortly after filming began. Because she fell in love with one of her contestants. This guy named Del Moss he's thirty one. You know he there was a little bit of drama I think early on with his social media activity according to reality Steve which I can't speeches reliability but I can say he has been right. A lot of times said the basically she fell in love with him night one she gave him the first impression rose and she you know think about anyone else she felt so hard and she was done. and. So. I guess she really just didn't want to continue filming and so. The producers obviously were freaking out and Teixeira Adams who is twenty nine years old she was on Colton season she was basically the runner up. Her and Hannah after Colton basically quit to get. CASSIE and she was on Bachelor in paradise and she was dating John Paul. Jones. She's just a bombshell. I've always thought she was a class act. She's stunning. She's really good energy. I actually am really surprised that she was not always the choice now that I'm looking back on it although. I. Remember when Clare was initially announced we were thrilled because I think it's really exciting when. The woman is a little bit older maybe want something different in her life at that point whatever. But what's interesting is if you remember when they had done the initial casting, they had to let some people go because they wanted order contestants. So apparently, and again, I can't tell you this designed to present. This is what's being reported apparently, they kind of were calling back on both some of the contestants eight initially lecco because they were too young and also some of the contestants that Clare had eliminated. So I don't know what's going to happen, but you know Franz Verbs, let's just take this as factual. I think it's more fun to analyze it that way. And I have to say like while I'm thrilled if this is the case these I would so much rather watch tasty to be honest I think she's just really fun and lively and I didn't I got a bad taste in my mouth from Clare after initially liking the whole Matt James Situation I just thought that that was a little bit. I don't know I was not into it when she kinda call now for basically doing charity work and like I'm happy that Claire Found love that's going on. But what's the fuck? How many people think they found their person the first night you know what? Yeah. I mean listen I'm not a bachelor watcher. So I don't like there's a lot of I guess. Details and and patterns and things that happen over the seasons like with different people and people who nuclear people don't like I'm not involved in any of that I really don't know I have a very like personal view of the situation but to me I always thought the whole point was to find the person you wanted to be with the bachelor and a lot of people probably knew in the beginning but continued to date throughout the show like I just I just thought that was the point maybe I'm off with all of my lack of experience in the bachelor but from the very beginning watcher beginning understand her it seems like that's kind of the point of the show. No. I mean, yeah you know listen I do believe that there are certain times when you just know and you're like, this is my person and there's two sides to that one one I'm sure one side could say like. She's right. It wasn't paired the other guy she was doing them a favor, but the other side is. Okay fine. You have that in how much better of a story will be that at the end of the day you knew since day one I don't know the whole thing seems weird. If this is really the case, all I will say like of Clare's happy and she's with this guy in their happy he's hot For her but if tastes the Bachelorette, that would be some shit.

Zion leaves NBA bubble for 'urgent' family matter

"All right one to turn to this story from inside the bubble, and it's a big one the Pelicans announcing yesterday the Williamson left the NBA bubble yesterday morning. Because of under undisclosed urgent family medical matter now Williamson intends to return at some point here's this coach Alvin Gentry. Don't know anything right now from the standpoint of. Coming back and you know obviously us. We've discussed supportive. Amina's family and their privacy doing this time right now, you know. We played forty four games without him and. You know we have top stretching, and we also had a stretch for. We won twelve out of sixteen. Without Him, so obviously, he's a great player that we'll miss, but the one thing that we've always talked about even when we went through times is that. Next Man. Marc Spears joins US live from inside the bubble at Disneyworld mark. Seems a little unclear as to why he left. What are you hearing about that about why he left at this point? Look the PELICANS are keeping it really really close to the vest, and they've been like that all all season. Way Him, you know this is still a teenager very very protective of their future star, and it's a family matter so I certainly understand that, but when it comes to him coming back, Ryan is really complicated. Absence of seven days or less, he s a quarantine. Four days upon return to the bubble with negative tests needed each day. Longer than a week. He has quarantine for four days. If he has a negative test the final day seven days he has gone. Without a required COA testing he will quarantine for ten days, so the Pelicans will debut. On July thirtieth they're one of four teams that play in the first day to resumption. It's not a lot of time between now, and then they have their first criminals, and just a few days, so yeah. The PELICANS certainly have a lot to worry about in their hopes of trying to get back to the playoffs, Yeah and we certainly wish Zion Williamson, and is it well with this family matter I mean that's first and foremost here hoping they're okay, but I look at this as well and I say without him. What are their chances of moving far into the playoffs structure? Like Alvin said you know. They played forty four games without him. Brandon Ingram the all star. He played most of those games at power forward. Without Zion, but once I came back. He only missed one game, and they have a stretch for by the name of Niccolo Meli. Not Not too hot says Zion has not the game design has I think the average is like seven games seven points a game. He would likely replace Zayn at power forward with Ingram staying in the small force spot, and I. Think drew holiday, said it best. He said you know. As much as it hurts to say, we've done it before in terms of playing without Zayn.

How Modsy Brought Consumer Interior Design Online

"In one of the biggest shifts in consumer behavior we have ever seen. Companies are rushing to bring their traditional offline businesses online. My next guest has done exactly this many years ago. She speaks on topics ranging from game development to women in Technology Organizations Shawna. Tiller is the founder and CEO of. She was previously at Google ventures where she focused on the future of retail experience three year experience and SAS platforms. She also marcy new. Google ventures to connect fortune five hundred companies with relevant startups sean welcome to the show. Thank you very much. So how are you doing sheltering in place with your family? Adventure. What has been the one thing that will stand out when you look back in this time being the most adventurous. Honestly not Super Adventures, but just special. My son is just about to turn to and to be able to spend this much time with him. And watching his brain really developed like all the words that he learned on a daily basis has just amazing and one hundred years ago. They'll GRANDPA. What was it like? During the pandemic twenty twenty, he'll say I was only two years old I. Don't remember exactly and he will. Bullets Vally. I think that's time. So want to go back to your college days because I saw that you majored in entertainment technology I don't even know there was a major like that. What made you interested in that subject? It's a good question. I didn't know that either I was an Undergrad fine arts, and I liked science, and I could never figure out where they combined, but I took this class doting virtual worlds when I was a senior allege it was It was talked by Randy. Powell shoes a famous professor a. he wrote the last lecture. The course was amazing. It was early virtual reality. It combined like everything. I loved technology and art and design and storytelling. Working in teams, and at the end of the semester with like a week to go, I was like I have to do this. For the rest of my life and I applied to the graduate school. There, we are world history. So, where did this idea come from to take an? Taken offline business like consumer, interior design and dimmer online, offer tools, and also independent Zayn resources. You Know I. Think like a lot of ideas. From my own experience and it didn't really start as like I wanNA. Take this professional online. It started as me as a consumer, I was trying to design my own home with my husband. Pick out furniture. Imagine how everything would look and I just felt that there was a gap in the world like that. There was a missing place where I as a consumer could do that. All in the comfort of my home I wasn't planning to hire like interior designer to come to my house. Tell me how to do it I thought that was more both expensive in kind. kind of elite, but also it was It was outsourcing more of the control that I wanted I imagined instead solution where I would basically like upload pictures of my room, and what would come back? We would be visualizations like a catalog, but beautiful visualizations of how my room really could be that I could fully shop, and that really was kind of the cropped to end up starting Wasi, but you didn't just use of the technology. You also have personal resources that people can get a hold of now connecting the folks that the service to someone that can provide it right. Correct yes, it's beautiful. Of, services, so we have designers that you work with and technology where the product that we deliver it to. You is a virtual product that shows you how things would look in your space, and both have to go together in order to make the whole thing work. Here's the key question. What role did game development play and how this whole service and website turned out? It's a good question. I in turn. Graduate School on the surface to had I will say that that has been a big astray. Shake for what we're doing. And also I spent most of my career using game technologies in tools for the things that I've dealt and you know I believe that. There is like it's amazing. Combination of what already exists so that gains obviously gives you sandboxes things to play around with and a certain amount of control, but they also put you on rails so that it's not. Not so much control that you can't get your end destination. You can't can't play the game and we try to do the same thing in balanced that that right ability of the tool and the process of the product guide you at the designer to guide you, but also giving you the flexibility to make a lot of your indices within experience.

Microsoft releases Surface Duo preview

"Microsoft is nearing the release of its dual screen devices the surface neo and the surface duo. You may remember these from last year. Oh you bet I do and apparently do 'cause is your like really excited right now as such. It now has announced new dual screen preview. SDK's of course so that developers can begin to prepare for for this Microsoft infused dual screen world So you know if you are a developer and you WanNa Kinda get a head start on developing for for the duo which is the android dual screen device that Everybody was was Doing flips over last year. There's a preview. SDK For or the surface duo has native Java. API's that support dual screen development so the developers can get started android emulator with surface duo image preview. That's integrated graded into android studio for testing android APPs. That way. You know. This doesn't come out in. Your APP doesn't scale across both screens properly or does something thing really weird which is probably going to be pretty easy to do yes exist be having some issues at kickoff. Yeah absolutely and and even if everybody's prepared it's probably GonNa Happen anyways. I and then apparently on February eleventh Microsoft is going to really do a pre release version of the windows. SDK To support this native windows. API is for dual screen development Microsoft. Emulator that actually supports and stimulates the dual screen device. This for APP interactions. Same thing there but I think what really caught my eye on this was that Zach Boden from windows. Central All took the surface duo emulator surface. Do of course is the android device so took the the new releases that support the surface duo and the android emulator I been released two minutes of footage of kind of how APP interactions look at this current state. It's not perfect little buggy but it really shows you like how things move fluidly between both screens and how all that works and then join us day day hurt. Hope I'm pronouncing his last name on twitter. He's a product design. Zayn and visualization expert. Took that video file output and embedded into a still of the surface duo. So you start to did a sense of what was going to operate when it comes out and I. I don't know it's pretty cool to watch kind of how things kind of fluidly move from one side to the other. There's a there's a part where you know you're on the home screen and the bottom row. Pin DICONSA stretched out like right now and then when something comes up on one screen those icons all kind of shift over on one screen and a nice fluid manner This is more than we've seen yet. Absolute farce how this works so what we saw. We saw someone hold up a thing and then they said holiday twenty twenty and then they put it away so this is this is a lot. Yeah totally so yeah. I'm intrigued. I'm I'm curious to know how you feel about dual screen devices space away now. I'm super pumped about this. When anti covered the The the windows event where they announce new hardware and of the hardware these Neo Duo were part of it. I was already excited I think it it was called. Was it the courier project. That windows did many millennia ago. I remember just drooling over. Think it was like a youtube video Watching watching it over and over again and just wanting this dual screen device that they had created at the time and that got shelved got put away got tucked away on the late to it. I'll put it in the dock for excellent John and I wanted it to exist so much and now you know seeing the neo and duo and being happy with what Microsoft has done in hardware. As of late I actually have faith that the company can deliver on a Well done device and I'm pumped about it. I think it'll be interesting. And so yeah I dunno I seen this actually have And I think it's going to be ruled out to developers soon just more pushes forth the idea that yes this definitely will be a device that's going to exist and other actively working on it and it's holiday twenty twenty Might actually be a great estimation of tech. So yeah I'm I'm pumped and end. I can't wait to see even more as more developers get their hands on it and start working on These devices yeah I I really hope I. It's Microsoft so I have to imagine and they're gonNA come out of the gate with something that's really solid. As far as this is concerned but I'm also an Android user and I know that over Mike My life confusing android my adult life using android there are a lot of things that promise to be really cool and sometimes that works out and sometimes it just ends up being kind of Clue G. and kind kind of feels broken or unfinished or whatever since Microsoft is driving. This maybe maybe I should have a better kind of more positive outlook on it. Then an and and I kinda do I think Microsoft probably going to be able to pull this off pretty well But I'm still like slightly hesitant like okay. Maybe it just sounds like a great idea but then once you get your hands on it. It's not quite as cool as you think it's going to be but I think it's it's I love to see the different. The different

"So hand has plausible deniability but they one one hundred percent. To Sh you know hurdle herded or shuttled them into that direction. And we'll do this bottle and that that's just perfect. Yes and then finally Yeah Pete and Kelsey get to talking and he's like all right. Let's finally have the champagne right. Let's let's pop a shitty bottle. Yo Saco not her domino on her daughter was gone. And this thing just pop song writer face right after she says. I'm not a classy bitch. All the time and just ooh explosion to the face perfect. It's like a movie. I cannot believe something like that like nine up so perfectly that you can't hint you cannot plan users must have been crying because you can't you can't script that like the producers must have just been like I can't believe we just got that shot at some point we you know we always talk about how like they probably manipulate some things and they set situations up like the Hannah and popping Chelsea's champagne bottle but then there's just some things where they gotta look at each other the producers and just like we we are got something going on here and this is meant to be on TV and this is meant to be happening because that moment was you. Couldn't you can't script something. The perfect had a tweet that I thought was really good that nobody really picked up on it kind of hurt me but I thought that you would have appreciated What was the I just? tweeted needed a birdman gift from pop bottles. And I don't think the bachelor fans picked up on it. I didn't get it. I get it either. You don't get it. I get it I get it. Everyone's like I get it. It's just not that funny. You guys you guys stink Mustang. See here's what I thought. I was like referencing Hannah on an he's rubbing his hands together like does I didn't realize it was from the pop pop bottles video. That makes more sense so there is the better Gif of Burma n-word slow motion. He's rubbing his hands. I I think what am I pop bottles though. That's the thing that I get that now. Yeah Okay we have a few brewing Kelsey and Hannah Anna really just going to continue to hate each other. They're fighting Kelsey calling her a bitch Hana's like I acknowledge your feelings. I respect your opinion. We're moving forward and and has the best evil smart. I've ever scene where she just like. I can't like it's such a phenomenal condescending smirk that she has clearly perfected through the year. Old Your feelings by the way way of saying like I hear what you're saying but I don't I just don't and she said she said so many times so oh you know they're they hate each other. The rose ceremony. Of course Kelsey gets the last rose. Which means that Courtney Lauren and Peyton all went home? Which is actually pretty sad about Lauren? Thought Lauren would have been I. I liked Lauren Lot. We didn't really get to see a lot of her but she were that jumpsuit night. One and I liked her instantly. Soon as Courtney said don't we all WANna be Mrs Weber said this check house. He's gotta go. We're still at the point. Rose ceremonies early on where I'm not too emotionally attached. It's totally also. None of them like Kelsey had gone home. She wasn't going to but if she had that would have been crazy. These other these other girls. I didn't really have any sort of catch. You wouldn't have uneven cared of Kelsey one home. I have to be honest like I think I would have been like okay. And now she's gone. She's mess. They need her right now. for Eh Drawn Hanane is. Is he exactly okay. The next group date is a revolve fashion show date which is just very spot on like smarter the bachelor they know that all the contestants just go become revolve influencers after the show. So why not give them all a jump start it's Carson Christly Janice Dickinson and the chief brand officer revolve they get to pick close in the revolves store model in the fashion show. And then the winner gets everything in the revolved closet. Which I'M NOT GONNA lie is phenomenal phenomenal prize? Rian I bowl tweeted like we would actually really love this prize. The girls were far more excited about and if I doubt they saw revolve and they all like drop dead because think about it. They all dream right. They're all fighting for P.. But who's the pizza places revolt. Twenty thousand dollars fine for yesterday and followers tell you they're for people. They're fighting for instagram right. Like that Exactly that second place. Is that influence your status. So you know they get to this. ACID show. Victoria F is really struggling. She's crying before it even starts Janice Dickinson straight up like she hated being there hated all the girls like it was really just criticizing everyone. My mom texted me that she thought Caitlyn Jenner was on the on the episode unfortunate for for Janice. I'm not gonNA touch that one. Yup me either. That's why so my mom said it. So then the runway went very well. All the girls looked great. Hand an came out a wedding dress. Had which had everybody freaking out. The Victoria is is going on and on about her confidence and how she doesn't have any confidence it's hard for her a trenchcoat and lingerie kisses. Peter she looks Super Hot. It seemed like a girl who has a lot of confidence. It's tough because like people think like Victoria. Who Don't really know that she has a horrible reputation? And we've talked about very briefly is very hard like if you WANNA void. Spoilers which is what we try to do if you google it. It's really hard to navigate like good luck. I haven't really looked at it. I've only heard it from like you're Kelly who have told me but she. She is rumored to have ruined multiple marriages. Her friends marriages like she's sleeping with their friends husbands. It's just bad. News bears with with Victoria. We're we're hearing a lot about stuff about a lot about. It's kind of feels like it does kind of coincide with with her behavior like she kind of has mistress behavior. Berkshire needs all the attention. Speak yes that's a major behave like a lot. It's just like a lot lot of her not getting enough attention and crying about and feeling like if she's not winning then she's crying as soon as she thought she was winning she was like Hell Yeah. I'm fucking hot. Like Watch win this thing. And then when she lost she was crying again. So I heard about these things from you guys this morning a little bit because I hadn't heard of any of it but it does pay last night's her performance in a way different light. Like if you're just watching it without knowing those things you're like Oh man I want her to have more confidence than situations heart and then when she's winning she's like oh I have comments. That's great but then you learn these things are like well now. I'm not really for this person whatsoever. It's tough we'll see how it plays out but Hannah and Victoria got to compete in the final walk hand absolutely stopped all over her just dominated. It wasn't even close. She won the prize. Yeah like Kerr turns on the runway. We're just unbelievable. So once again Victoria. She's crying again. It's very bad but in the person night portion. She gets to talk to Pete. Pete reassures her like that. Everything's everything's GonNa be okay. She ends up getting the group date rose on the episode ended with Kelsey and Hannah and going at it again because Hannah and snitched and said they Kelsey was a bully and gone to a bully. Offense I'm tired of the bullying talk on this show on the Bachelorette when the guys do something wrong. Call each other Dick and that's it only goalie is going on. You guys are just they. Just don't like each other and there's twenty girls in the House competing for one guy. Of course you're not going to get along with. Every single girl doesn't mean it's bullying the bullying is. They're trying to get a little bit of sympathy from. Will you talk to this girl. Yeah they just like you said friend they just just like you said like sorry she said to Pete like sorry we just straight up. Don't like each other and that's fine. That's okay that's it. They're.

Knox College students build campus rain gardens

"Org. last spring students at Knox College. Illinois traded their notebooks for Shovel and planning a rain garden on campus. The garden is not just a bunch of pretty. Plants is designed nine to reduce stress on the campus drainage system. During heavy rain the whole goal behind the rain gardens is slow spread it and sink it and that is to take the movement one of the water and slow it down such that it loses energy and rather spreads out and sinks into the Earth. Associate Professor William. Hope says the projects engineered so so that rain comes from the roof of a nearby building through downspouts and into a bed of gravel then it flows into the garden. The plants roots hold the soil in place and help albacore the water. This is the second rain garden that hope has helped US students design and build and he says they've walked away each time more observant and motivated to design Zayn solutions for their communities. Several students across the years have commented that this has given them a physical connection to campus in ways that they felt proud out of that they would come back and share their

New 3D Printing Extruders Are Coming Your Way

"Time for US talk about Three D. printing again and there are announcements. Well actually they've been announced for a while and hopefully by now we will have some of them of a whole bunch of new extruders souders starting with one which we're GONNA be talking in detail about. I think next time around the time after the zesty nimble they're coming out with their version into and they should have shipped mid December but we all know how dot goes so. Hopefully we have them now. I've ordered three of them for the tool changer. Because the value that they sent me worked so beautifully however I will probably also beginning the second extruder that was announced earlier last year in December actually before December the three D Amirah which was originally called the Hermes. They changed it to Amarah. I wonder what else did a Hermes in three different than could be And and and While the zesty nimble comes with breath Basically just the extruder system and the cable that attached to the stepper the Humira and the next extruder that we're going to mention comes with the stop promoter. Attached the E. Three Homero is Pretty special in that it it customizes the casing of the stepper motor to have within it a dual wheeled a dual Hobday gear extra a feeding system. That has the shortest path from from the gear to the hot end. That I think I've ever seen it's really really interesting. Very very interesting design Kind of a very similar to bonte contact. The both sides of the filament have geared hob gears that are driving it also it has a very interesting heat sink underneath the fan which is designed to drive the air away from the hot end area Very innovative. They put a lot of engineering into do it. We're looking forward to try and get. Unfortunately though in my opinion they use the mid sized stepper motor versus the pancake sized stepper motor odor. Not sure why I need to talk with them more about that. I've heard that they may be coming out with a version with the pancakes is that is the smaller stack. So it's much lighter. Maybe half the weight of the mid sized stepper and in in my experience when I've switched to to these smaller steppers. Yeah the Torque is less but it's still well within tolerance and I save a ton of weight which makes for a much higher quality quality print. So we we will probably be getting a hammer and I'll be shoehorned into one of the tools of the tool changer for comparison sake. Hopefully we'll see how things go in the near future. Yeah what I don't understand about this designers. They're going to all this trouble to make you know there's all these custom parts it's quite expensive. I like the The driving you know the dual driving from both sides but Yeah but they're not the first guys to come up with that but I can sort of justify it. In terms comes of reducing weight you know keeping the parts as minimal as possible and reducing the overall weight of the extruder but then they make a Boden version of it. I don't I understand. I understand why you'd care about the weight. Convert on tech bomb attack has the same thing with the boat and version of the BMG. So possibly they're seeing themselves competing beating with the bond market. Well the bond tech is. That's just that's a really good extruder Yummy do you. Don't care so much about the weight you're looking at the. You know the dual drive live systems and this is a dual drive system. So we're hoping that is at least as good as the bond tech for their sake. It'd better be better be or they're not gonNA sell many on one thing that they like to push that you you just screw in the thermal tubes for any of their extruders I mean. They're they're hot blocks so they're volcano their V six all their different hop block designs. Pathway designs will fit to this. So it's it's pretty versatile for their for the tool we'll change your though The folks he three D have come up with bolt on parts. So that it'll go onto the tool plate however you know that's a lot of weight you've got the stepper motor for this camera. You've got the small stepper motor for the tool control. You've got all the carriages. That may be too much much. Wait for the tool changed your. But we're GONNA find out we're going to testify ourselves and compare it to a tool. That has a zesty nimble on it which only adds like ninety four grams versus nine hundred something grams quite a bit of a difference and then we have a third extruder. That was announced right before Christmas. From the folks at Micro Swiss these folks make some really Nice nozzles and Philemon Thermal tubes they've come up with a design that's a direct replacement for for the CR ten in the ender three basically replaces the entire X. carriage however again the it's a mid sized stepper that's writing in the X. Axis which can be a problem however on these machines you don't print as quickly the Mendel based where the the bed is in the Y axis which is a mental based usually you don't print more than sixty at Mac sixty millimeters unders per second whereas the machines were thinking of usually around eighty millimeters per seconds. Does it make a difference. Time will tell. We'll find out I I don't know I We may explore one of those. I'm my my gut. Tell me again. The zesty nimble may be the better approach. One thing looking at the picture that they have on their website the path distance from the actual geared feeder down into the tube is fairly long and that could become a problem in the heat sink. Looks kind of small tiny heat sink. They have to get the the stepper motor up over the the horizontal Gantry bar so that's why it has to be that far. I would have positioned at forward and reversed it. Yeah you could you could do that But then you're putting in all this weight that's cantilevered out from the the linear motion Crusades off. Yes it can be done. It's just a matter of you. Know Designing Zayn balancing out the different

"Whatever our it is for you. Andrew Cecilio sitting in today for rich Eisen who is back shortly were soon actually ways back. He's on vacation. You got a whole bunch of other people filling in next week. The give me some of the film's real quick here. Ryan we on Monday on Monday. That's cool. Brock Kirk Morrison Tuesdays through Friday next week. He gets four days Dan Heli the Monday after all right beautiful. That's coming up. That's because you big time to Andrews we had to get him. Other people did what? Just just just just saying I have I have a day job. I mean, we were friends day job next week. Then a Monday, I'm out of town saying, okay? All right. Let's talk baseball 'cause it's been predominantly Zayn. Williamson Zayn Williamson a big your, pardon and football. Joining us now from MLB network from Fox Sports, I think it was a little harsh earlier to baseball. I love baseball Brockman does that. Jon morosi knows that who joins us on the phone as well. Hi, john. How are you? Outstanding Andrew greetings from a son splash afternoon here in Clearwater Florida affiliates. And they just watched Bryce Harper as as I that bad of the ball game here. So how's that for baseball seemed to set there? It is hard to to be upset about anything sprinter. John that sounds amazing. Thank you for painting a picture for us. Can you please? Tell us Bryce Harper's walkout music. That is a great question. So I was actually I was mid conversation with with the gentleman next when he was bags. I gotta actually mentioned that and I will say, even even then sometimes my modern music references are a little slow, and actually I get all that fluency. Whatever little I have Andrews. No, I Mark. We'll tell my wife had you heard this before. No. But I have because I'm at the stadium. Therefore, I'm up on all I have the conversation all the time. It's usually in the newsroom and NFL network somebody mentions in artist, and I say that is and then they say yes, you do that song. And I don't know. Yes. You do know that one that one that one. Okay. Well, Jon morosi now calling in from a Phillies game in Florida. John has Dallas kaikal signed yet. He has not in fact, I was I was so yesterday at last check he was a throwing to hitters in Newport Beach, California at the forest sports institute, there's run by his agent Scott Boras. So he's I think that the possibilities there. The astros. The Braves are now a bit concerned about my full name, the news, of course, came today. Also about Luis Severino with the Yankees being out. So I think we'd have to maintain those three teams as being at. Least possible suitors for Dallas John tell me or tell the layman out there. Why kaikal and Kimbrell and GIO Gonzalez. The list goes on tell them why they're not signed. I think that the the reasons are a little unique each player. I think in the case of kimbrel. He was coming off of a postseason that was not as best work. He was giving up some loud contact at different times during the playoffs. And so he's coming off of a bit of a disappointing playoffs and at a time when the general position of closer is not quite valued the way that used to be he's also right around the age of thirty which we've seen teams. Now regard a little bit differently in terms of value in there. So I think he probably they probably was asking for too much too early about where things actually were we're going to settle it with the market. There's I think he probably would have been better served assign a little bit earlier in the calendar as GIO I think on some level Andrew there. Both represented by Scott Boris. I just based on the bandwidth of Scott's off season. He was pretty tied up with number three here in Clearwater and getting Bryce signed. And I think that there was a bit of a sequential way about his his procedures. I think maybe as part of the reason why it was waiting until February or March to get geo and Dallas consign talking to Jon morosi was actually at a Phillies game in Florida. Joining us on the phone here on the rich Eisen show..

"Zayn Williamson's recovery continues to be positive as coach K said on Thursday, the star freshman had his quote, I really good workout quote. He's out for tonight's game against North Carolina possibly could place. It is the ACC tournament next week flick. Russia's coming back and playing in the tournament is absolutely the right move for Williamson. If he wants it to be we talk about player empowerment, I know those are the magic words that everybody wants to make a big deal about. Well, if you wanna do it, then go ahead and play if you wanna play play the game you like playing basketball he could end up and people don't talk about this nearly enough guys go for one and done, then a brilliant. Join their college experience. Now part of that reason is they don't really have to study that much. They're not really in-depth another studies just yet. So all they have to do is keep themselves afloat for that first semester. And then they're okay in the second semester for the most part, and they can take care of their business and play basketball. So they really enjoy the college experience sign Williamson might really like enjoy the the college experience playing Duke play. At Cameron indoor stadium now you wouldn't be doing that in the ACC tournament. But you would still be playing for Duke if he wants to play if he thinks he can suit up and play play. I don't think it's going to be any more of a hindrance than him not playing. You can't get hurt workouts? It's basketball you're playing at a high level. You wanna prove that you've come back and played very very, well, if you wanna play go ahead and play some people say, it's a bad a sets, a bad precedent for the investment that they've made I can understand that I can see your point of view there. But if he wants to play I think he secured himself as the number one pick no matter who gets it. I think a couple of other guys can make an argument RJ Barrett. I think it'd be great today's NBA. But if you wanna play go and play you you've you've built something with your teammates. You think you can compete if you're not there? I don't know if you're a final fourteen if you are in your healthy, and you can go you might be a final fourteen. So there is something there that he has to consider if he wants to go out and help out his teammates. I think the decisions on him. I'm not going to kill him. If he plays. I'm not gonna kill him. If he doesn't play.

"Baseball's a long drag Ernie. We're talking about this. And he likes it because it's always in the news, right? It doesn't just go away. Right. Offseason after a week just goes away with the NFL same thing with the NFL right there. Is a few moves. But nothing major. I guess the beauty of baseball's. Here we are in January and some of the elite free agents are still out there. Think about the pictures to Dallas kaikal still a free agent. Kimbrell? And obviously the the offensive players like Bryce Harper Manny Machado, but it can be frustrating. When if you're a fan base, like the Yankees are waiting to find out what the heck's going to go on you want to see what happens. But right now, I'm stressed. I have a lot of anxiety who may Machado. You got to kind of anxiety. I got one MacArthur. I got both. I got a good question for you. So the other day, I asked you would you prefer the Mets sign Bryce Harper. The jets higher Mike McCarthy said McCarthy, I got two more ones. I throw at you. Kevin Durant where Mike McCarthy. I jets number one. Okay. So the jet being number one thing. Yes. Guy yelling related but related. I was thinking about this Joe. And it may seem like an easy question. I don't think it is. I'm telling you right now, you're either getting Kevin Durant or you're getting the number one overall pick and you'll get to draft if you so Zayn Lampson, which one do you take both Durant? Okay. It's a it's a sure thing I kind of expected you to say Zayn only because you are a fan. I am rafting your guy. But this the way the NBA is now, you know, what? I mean, the NBA's become. Totally star driven league. These guys, you know, make their own decisions where to go going here there and everywhere you bring the rant in here. And immediately changes everything with an x now, maybe Williams that could be maybe Williamson is LeBron. I don't know. I mean, I don't know that. Okay. He could be but immediately Durant. Everything's changed. Now, everything I was watching a little bit of Duke last night against Wake Forest and be careful. I say this because it's not that I think Zayn Williamson isn't going to be very very good. Very good. He's got a lot of things in his game. That needs to be fixed. First of all, I think he has to develop a jump shot in this modern MBA and number two. I worry six seven eighty grows another inch big guy, huge guy. I don't know. He's going to beat guys up in the NBA. I'm worried about him from that ask guys up in the NBA more. Now, though, you know, kid. No. But I need like physics. And the other thing is I was looking at the history of the lottery since LeBron teams that won the lottery, and there are some really good players Blake Griffin ragged, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis. Really good player. There's nothing game changing LeBron because you can't even say Anthony Davis is game change because what the hell they want. Nothing. I one hundred percent right as good as he is. They won nothing. I couldn't agree with you. And I I'll go through this real quick the teams that won the lottery what they've done in the last decade. And I'll do that. When we come back it'll make happy because I really wants to take a break shows you that winning the lottery is great. And it's exciting. I'm not saying you shouldn't root for it by any chance off the success of thirty one on your way. Well, if he's being having a chance, I will say what they're gonna have to say it was very nice to even even LeBron did not play in a game tonight. It was very nice to beat the Lakers. You said that. 'cause I I really did enjoy beating the Lakers in LA. I have to tell you. I'm gonna tell you something a little pathetic. Let's go Lakers tonight because I have got an high on all my rivals in the Eastern Conference the pistons sedan tonight need the pistons Ross echinacea not out yet. What does it? How long is it gonna be God knows when I tell you. It's wrapping up the MVP right now because they can't win without him. What's their record now without him? Weed out right now. It's a couple of games about five hundred dollars dropped. Yeah. Let me see, and that's a very competitive Western Conference. You gotta watch out. They'll make the playoffs because he'll come back healthy. But right now, they are twenty two and nineteen or twenty two thousand nine and they are the eighth seed in the Western Conference games up on Utah. We'll get to that lotteries.
