Philadelphia Phillies beat New York Yankees 11-7 at home to open twin bill

He's guys are getting all pumped up there on the bench on the balls, put in play, and you can hear some of that on the broadcast or shallow with an RBI single. He was two for three and the bullpen closed out a three one victories. They split the twin bull, the twin bill rather at Citizens Bank I. Seven inning experience for Aaron. Boone Company? What did he think about? About the first one was too short, and then this one was just right. Make sense considering they dropped the opener before the seventh inning rally Nola struck out twelve over six innings. But the Yankee pitchers kept them in the game as well. Jonathan Isaac. "Ring along with Pete Alonso and Michael Conforto to power the meds to an 84 win over the first place Marlins. Rookie David Peterson showed Big league composure once again, pitching out of some early jams for second win. The biggest thing for me and those is is reducing the damage trying to get out there. With the least amount of damage possible, and I didn't have the greatest command tonight. But, um, if I walked some guys, I need to be able to get myself out of it just worked around three walks, allowing two runs in five innings. "Begin today with Garrett Cole getting nine years and three eight hundred twenty four million dollars from the New York Yankees which is only three hundred twenty one point six million dollars more than the original House that Ruth built cost Cole. Who grew up as a Yankee fan in southern California that they've won twenty games and at three hundred twenty six strikeouts for the Astros? This year. We'll buy in the only hole. The Yankees Hanky sat with starting here. Does this make them the team to beat you or whatever that means whatever that means it it does that because the Yankees as opposed to other teams coal miner considered considered. Now go straight to the angels. 'cause whatever fanny grew up you grew up in Orange County. That's where the angels play. That's all right so the angels are not they got one player. They have Mike Mike Trump. They did a whole bunch of stuff and for three hundred and twenty four million dollars. I could probably get three or four really good players maybe a couple of allstars the Yankees to whom it does not matter what they pay they got everything else. That's right I mean. They got Glazer stores and they got Stanton and they got judge GAC. They're loaded and they need one studying top of this rotation just starting ace and they got him so and the dodgers are very good team but couldn't get past the nats this year. They could have used them. The NATS ARE GONNA lose Anthony Ren Dome I just working to pay three to a red SOx might lose mookie Betts. So yeah I agree. That establishes that now the question is is it too much money in too many years. Maybe it's too much money and maybe it's too many years. Put what five year option for some five out pitchers lately who've gone for big contracts and I would include Max Scherzer and just landed Clayton. Kershaw Shaw worth an early John. Lester these they can make it worth an early so if you get an eight year deal and they give you a five great that it's worth it This to me establishes the Yankees. Guess give you that. They did have never done this. They did this with C. C.. Sobat the two thousand eight. I guess it was. It's been a while ago now. Now he never never had a gigantic season. What look let me give you two sets that matter their starting pitching fifteenth in the IRA array for starters? Twenty six hundred twenty six innings pitched. Yeah Coal Costa I get it gives it makes all the sense in the world for the Yankees and only the Yankees. 'cause they're the only team in major league baseball. Sorry Scott Boris. There's GonNa give him three hundred twenty plus million dollars they did you disagree with the L.. I don't put it only. I want to win only the Yankees. Everybody wants to win. And then we have the same book deployed out there when they have a lot of teams have really don't Cups Cups L.. They don't get upset. Yeah moved to football specifically whether Lamar Jackson has taken shots necessarily at a time when quarterbacks as a group are ridiculously protected Jackson's teammate. Earl Thomas is primary hype man said to reporters yesterday quote. I think the rest need to pay closer so attention because teams are definitely going in his legs more than they were doing it at first close quote one more good quarter. Jack is going to break the all time rushing record in a single season as a four quarterback tone is Earl Thomas Right that the rest need to better protect Lamar Jackson. Small Correction Primary hype me and mark. Ingram Mark Thomas now. Do they need to protect them. No they need to enforce the rules. quarterbacks get protected you sit here all the time to go of your breathe on. I'm Tom Brady. It's a penalty so if you're in the pocket like Tom Brady and someone comes in your legs you throw that away now in the pocket you WANNA pocket. Well if you're running back you're running back. You can't protect you. You cannot protect back running back you know so I I understand that the last two teams. He's his face happened to have two of the three best offenses Ling. The forty niners in the bills. My feeling is once you become running back open season open season. Didn't you say you can't hit Barry Sanders. You can't Miss Smith but as quarterback rules in the pocket and some of these hits have come into pocket do better job fine. That's right. I mean he has his been around round for so long to have golden boy status in terms of length of service but in terms of talent and the impact bankability market ability ticket sales. He is one already. You are one of the Baltimore Ravens. The constant reminder of what can happen is your backup quarterback Robert Griffin. Who you don't I don't think can take you to super bowl? But Lamar Jackson you do think can take you large system today that I thought was sort of just groundbreaking thought in that we have to look. We have to reassess what we think of quarterbacks in terms of longevity Oughta be that people are now going to say. We're going to take hitch our wagon to a quarterback like this with this special talent. Let's let's see we can get six to eight years the notion of twelve to fourteen years old. You're not doing I'm going to thirty five. Because chances are you're going to get and I thought you know what this is true but other other teams have to listen to what Ryan Clark saying. Here you have to begin to identify who can play this position going forward. You have to become more like Aaron Rodgers. A guy whole run when he has to run and Cameron but would rather stand throw. That's like a hybrid right. I mean that's different Jackson so far. He's a runner. It's a great great runner yesterday. Staying with football we mentioned briefly. The Jerry Jones had gone on one zero five point three in Dallas to deny that his son Steven had met with Urban Meyer okay. I'll buy that even though in October. Meyer compared the cowboys the New York Yankees and said quote to me. That's the one job in professional football that you say I gotTa do that unquote. That's that's a bomb quote here. We'll Urban Meyer coaching the cowboys make sense to you. It would make sense more than most any other college coach so so in other words I got him skewing little bit more towards Jimmy Johnson. Then chip Kelly. or or right right right Greg Greg Greg Greg Greg Greg Greg comedy the Johnson Carol most successful more that way not not entirely that way. But I'm willing but here's what has changed Steve. Young bills just like once a month reminds us that the pro game is becoming more like the college game as adopt and adapt more via college. Football were Myers master debt. Bowling Green Utah. Aw Two championships. Who Different than equals? He's great that's right I'd be will you don't mean I am not willing to take a college. Coach is no history has proven you write most of the time. Urban Meyer Liar. Yeah I'd make the exception. Okay here's the problem to me. Here's the problem specifically with Dallas and it's not what the cowboys owner of the cowboys. Okay Jerry Jones this kid Jimmy Johnson. He was his college teammate. Jerry Jones got rid of Bill parcells Jerry. Jones needs to be the top dog. That's why he colds on to Garyk. Urban Meyer you got a letter been Meyerbeer. The top dog. I'm not sure that Jerry Jones on this can handle bill that pilots with you on that. Although it'd be a very good coach Urban Meyer seems wildly adaptable. You know I'm not three to five the years and then he's out enough health issues if he goes in there and he wins one for Jerry in the second year should turn and walk. I just I- Jerry Jones else doesn't strike me. You talk about adaptability having any adapt. There's no way he goes with urban. Meyer no I think there is a way I think he immediately regrets it but sure sure of course your minds. It's been a long time since Jerry. One even got in position to win Jerry Jones any younger Jerry. Jones wants to believe that he's the reason it happened. We like Jerry Jones. But that's Jerry Jones Kevin. Love has been not a spotlight for a while as you know Tony but he could be back in a soon because several teams teams in need of his front court brand of scoring are casting their covetous eyes toward Cleveland with a cavalier's going nowhere with the five time. All Star. Dr The ringer among others suggesting love would be happier playing for contender especially his hometown. Portland Trailblazers tone. The cavs next to last in the east last. I think it's the Knicks but I'm GonNa take a wild guess is the knicks the Knicks should the cat omits the niche shoot the cavaliers. Listen Up and dealing so what is interesting to me about. This is that he wants to go to Portland. which I don't believe is content right now? Maybe okay. That's that's the end of Carmelo Anthony. Yeah you need have no. Because they'll say the same thing and Kevin Love has three Carmelo Anthony Ninety dollars now. He's a much better metraplate so that would be. I don't really understand that to me. The greater issue here is the Cleveland. Cavaliers Kevin Love has played on on bad teams. He played in Minnesota. got a lot of numbers played on a bad team. Then he WANNA ring. Stayed in Cleveland after Lebron left right now Cleveland Cavaliers and not just five eighteen gene. They've lost thirteen of their last fourteen. And they are openly apparently critical of John. B Line Right. What is happening? What did we talk about in the previous story? College coaches in the pro talk about what's going on this adventure right now. Is Cleveland surprises issue. Yeah little surprise me. It didn't surprise me on. They get some young talent is going to be interesting to see and I know beyond have what we thought was early success with the young backcourt guards back there but does it it. It doesn't matter and Kevin Love is going to have to go down thirty one. Something like that Kevin. Love is going to look around and say what am I doing career. He number of teams. Where the love thing where? GimMe a few twenty. I liked Portland before Carmelo got there. Thanks so I thought that was a good situation. Where where you got the sons now I WANNA see him to the sons? They're not ready to win by tell you the team. I'm thinking but they can't get angry the Lakers. He's he's wondering with a rerun. Lebron who you gotta get up. Well who's WHO's mine others. Whose will could be a young Kevin Love? Do you want to win now yeah. At Baseball's winter waited managers have expressed horror at the very very real possibility that baseball will implement as is. It's right a new rule. Mandating that relievers must face at least three batters or pitch until the end of an innings. Thanks Terry Francona has said quote. It bothers me so much when they tell you how to compete on Joe Madden has said quote..

"To you by Derek jeter but if you've been following opne on any of the social networks I can't remember if we've actually posted this to the the Pinstripe Lane social networks were at pinstripe planes we did yes have a chance congress encounter but rather a very quick encounter on the record happen to the to turn two foundation gala on Monday I hear downtown with Derek Jeter and his sister Charlene of course she's the president of the organization we're going to get to that conversation in just a second I'm Ralphie Aversa I know it's been a minute I don't even know where I don't know where to begin hasn't Tony Though Tony Restano's here seriously the last time we taped an episode of the Pinstripe Planes Podcast you were on it and we were taping it from the deck of the House runs in Cooperstown it was the night before we met Mariano Rivera maybe we should start there. Yeah it sounds like a good place to start because the one that coordinated the the whole Mo- meet-and-greet that we had at seventh-inning stretch on Main Street in beautiful scenic downtown Cooperstown so the day after the induction they did a what was the was like a right around table or something what was that called that we had tickets to but we didn't go wit yes there is a round table discussion with all the inductees trying to remember who the host was of it Peter Gammons was house was the host of roundtable in we were going to go to that and then shortly right after that we were gonNA go to the Mo meet-and-greet the Ron Table was actually supposed to be held at Doubleday field and at some point leading up to the weekend they ended up changing it to the athletic complex right where the induction was the day before it was it was raining outside so the little implement as far as the weather so that probably was one of the reasons why they switched it nonetheless switched it we got there and we knew that we are going to be kind of cutting it close to go there and then get out of the traffic there get downtown and then get in line four Maryono especially considering we had to be there a little earlier because Mr I know bought the VIP package so what exactly was the VIP package the VIP package was supposed to Was Good for one autographed you could take a photograph with MOE with yourself three guests and Marianna and and you were supposed to have some I guess the way it was billed was have about ten to fifteen minutes of time with them just to kind of you know hang out ask some questions stuff like that basically they said look it's not going to be like a meet and greet where you get you get your auto you get rush through you don't get to say hi to him or anything like they said you'll have a few minutes you can you can chat with them you could ask him a few questions it's not going to be rushed it'll be in a relaxed setting so on and so four so that was part of the allure to spending the extra money that you got a professional photo and then you've got to bring it was the the person getting the autograph and then they got to bring three people and obviously we had people in our party at Cooperstown so it worked out great we all were able to get our photo with Mo what ended up happening though was not exactly what was promised one of the big things that happen and in between the time that the signing was announced and the time at the signing happen was of course the fact that Steiner sports was bought out by fanatics and when Tadic's purchase the center sports inventory I didn't realize it but they also purchased all of the player contracts now some of those have continued on like Johnno some of those have not I believe like our guests that we're going to have on a little bit Derek jeter the Mariana one did though and so this went from a Steiner seventh-inning stretch event to fanatics seventh inning stretch event and our first for both of us are first time doing a fanatics live event or at least alive event that phonetics was a part of in some way I'll speak to this because I have no problem saying that the experience was it I'm not gonNA say that it was bad God I think the biggest thing it was on organized a we ended up we know Mariana was on time actually might have even been a little early but the whole up inside the store getting people in and out getting VIP tickets taking care of the calling of the numbers the whole workflow of the place from where you waited signed to where you dropped off your item to where you got the photo to where you then picked up your item at any other certificates of authenticity or so on and so forth that you purchase the whole world flow was just completely on organized poorly designed poorly produced Mariano couldn't have been nicer but we were definitely rushed it wasn't what we were sold on and so while it was great we got a beautiful photo which is the the thumbnail art for this episode over at Pinstripe Planes Podcast dot com and on all of our social networks pinstripe lanes at the photo came out great in your your autograph I should say also came out great yes no the photo was the photo came out awesome Mo signed for me a piece of the Old Yankee Stadium Wall Beautiful Signature Classic Marietto Signature I and he was he was he was great I mean even though we were kind of rushed I mean we did get to talk to him a little bit ask him a few questions couldn't complain about Komo was mos- mo- he was awesome I don't know Ralphie who though was responsible I guess for Organiz using this event I don't know I don't know if fanatics really had a lot to do with the organization of it since they came in end of last minute when this thing was I bill that was billed as a steiner right with seventh-inning stretch I have a feeling it's probably was more of a Steiner setup just with the name change in you know in in the folks that were working they tried to do a good job and I know it's busy weekend there it's chaotic it's hectic but the execution of it was just it was just poorly done yeah very very very poorly done in the amazing thing is as you would I think that based on some of the other larger autograph signings down in Cooperstown that weekend you kinda take a page out of their playbook and run the same way because the run you know the run event was could've been better yeah I may be obviously the other big live Autograph Company they have deals with a number of different athletes or sometimes they'll collaborate with other agents other managers to to bring athletes and that maybe they don't have trek with and they do a big show the entire weekend of cooperstown every year in Anthony did attend that as well and got a number of different autographs and that I may be the point where it's a a well oiled machine but I think moving forward the the one thing I just wanted to touch on real quick was the price point for an M. A. B. compared to the price point for the Steiner seventh-inning stretch and now we'll be a fanatic stuff moving forward if it involves Mo and you gotta think obviously with Derek probably getting inducted next year that moby back and maybe he'll do another signing there again we did we talk we talk about how much we paid we did yes Oh we did in the last episode okay so long ago Otsego I know we've been on hiatus we may get to Wyatt a minute but anyways we paid a thousand dollars for that again you got the you're supposed to get a few minutes with more which we didn't get but we did get a beautiful photo and had a piece of the old Yankee Stadium Walls engine beautiful signature from Mariana included the hall of fame inscription as well which was nice thousand dollars out the door bing bang boom what was the most excited offensive autograph at who was it you know what Ralph I really I I yeah I think I think you know between Ricky Henderson and Frank Thomas I I think maybe those guys charged one hundred dollars for a flat whereas if it mows autograph forget about the VIP package just wanted to get his autograph on flat. I believe it was five hundred right exactly and that's I think that's what we like to say to paraphrase our Buddy Mike Francesa what why raise you a little bit moving forward with this as as some of these Yankees and a lot of the Yankees I mean Judge Stanton I know this is way down the line but but even its current it's happening currently too because phonetics is doing live events with the with the current Yankee players as well along with some of the ones that have retired that they have deals with and I think you know Steiner at times was pricey but for the most part outside of this event it was never exorbitant Moab has always been very well done but I think fanatics is going to bring this to a level where a lot of fans are going to be priced it's it's disheartening I feel for like like I'm thankful that you know were a little older and we can afford to spend that money if we need to because you know we just we have bills but we don't have kids yet or anything like that you know I feel bad for a mom or dad who's got a teenager that wants to get an autograph from an errand Raj and they're going to have to go through fanatics and they're just GONNA pay out the rear it's sad it really is it is it's crazy and unfortunately for us our generation of of players we followed either we've had the opportunity to to meet them you know while we were growing up getting autograph what have you had reasonable price I agree with you though going forward kid that wants an air judge autograph I mean Yeah Good Luck Yeah Yeah you might as well you know maybe a maybe you go to Toronto and you stay at the Park Hyatt go that's that's what we did to get Derek jeters autograph matter-of-fact and you will hear from Al Capitan we may even tell that story his we got a couple of interesting stories one of which I on earth this week on facebook about about meeting Derek very first time I came to New York City Anthony actually here to for that as well we're GonNa take a quick break when we come back you will hear about and he'll hear from El Capitan Derek jeter here on episode number thirty one of the pinstripes podcast welcome back to episode number thirty one of the pinstripe lanes podcast Ralphie aversa cousin Tony Tony restocked uh-huh is here as well he was on our last episode that we taped back at the end of July it was the night before we met Mariano Rivera which of course we told you all about without further ado actually we can get to our jeeter stories in a second book because we've been teasing it for a minute I- thanks to my friends Shayna who runs a website called the nocturnal all I covered the turn two foundation gala at Cipriani Wall Street downtown here in the city on Monday featuring of course in appearance from Derek jeter very interesting by the way the only other baseball player that I saw there was John Franco also fun fact and John Frankel was wife asked me to take a photo the two of them on the red carpet. How'd you do I think I did well? John didn't posted to his instagram her instagram is pie and I don't want to request a follow her because that'd be kind of weird so I think I did actually so John Franko came by a couple of other athletes Larry Johnson and John starks obviously it was Monday so you had the Yankees if any former players who are advisers to the GM they weren't going to be there and same with obviously in players 'cause they are in Minnesota in rates week the twins so no other Yankees that I saw there I was surprised though Jerick not only did he walk the carpet and do media but he did so solo without his sister Shirley Super surprised about that.

"And maybe sometime it'll be jeeter story or or whatever. But young people won't remember this, but Alder people remember the old Dean Martin show on television on NBC in the sixties and early seventies. And he had a bit where he'd be sitting around. It was very casual thing and he'd go. I think I'll go to the door. And he and he would go to this door on the stage, and he'd open the door. And you never know who was going to be in. There could be John Wayne. It could be Ronald Reagan. And it's always somebody. You know, surprising was behind that door. And that's what I like in being the PR director of the Yankees or even at the Commissioner's office when I worked there when that phone rang it could be. You know, Jack O'Connell from the daily news or Bill Madden or any of the media people that would call, but it could be Walter Cronkite. Could be Oprah Winfrey. I it's amazing the people, you know, one time one time, you know, we had a senior advisor named Arthur Richmond who had the office next to me and Arthur knew everybody, and he was very close to the Bush family. I mean, really close they loved him and one time early on the phone rang in my administrative assistant Mathilda entered the phone and said hold on, please. And she said Arthur, do you wanna talk to George Bush and Arthur's response was which one. She said, I think it's the father. Okay. So not that it wasn't gonna talk at a president. But right. But you know, you know, and then aren't they would answer the phone bushy may baby. So that that was one of the great things you never knew who you what I wrote about in. This current issue of baseball digest was the highlight of my years with the Yankees off the field. So to speak was that I was a big fan of the movie pride of the Anki. I mean, how many who's who hasn't seen pride of the eighties and Gary Coopers co star was Theresa right? Beautiful young actress in the nineteen forties nominated for best actress for that movie and actually one for another movie the same year won best supporting actress for MRs Miniver. Well, I'm watching the Academy Awards in nineteen ninety eight and there she is they introduced all the people that had ever won an Academy Award. And I said to myself, that's Theresa right? She played Eleanor Garib pride of the ankle. We should get her to throw the first pitch. So I got Mr. Steinbrenner's permission. He thought it was a great idea. And I set off on the search for Theresa right? I. I got her agents name, and I called him up and explain what we wanted to do. And he should we'll Rick. That's very nice gesture, but I don't think she'll do it. And she only lived about forty miles from the stadium. She lived anywhere in the country. But she lived in Norwalk, Connecticut. Right. Right. So, you know, box number one was checked off, you know, easy to get to the stadium. So he said, I don't think she'll do it. And I said, well, can I ask why not and he goes Rick? She's eighty years old or almost eight years old. I said, well, she doesn't have to strike out a batter she just hand the ball to the catcher. So he goes, well, I'll ask her, but, you know, don't get your hopes up. Well, the next day she called me. And she she this is exactly what you said. This will be first of all she was delighted she accepted, and she should Rick. This'll be so exciting. I've never been to a baseball game. I said, oh, and I said what you just said. And I said never been to a baseball. I mean, how's that possibly Eleanor Garrick in pride of the because? Yeah. But it was just a role. She goes, you know, week later, I was on another film. And I I'm never been a baseball fan. She comes to the game. She gets a wonderful ovation..

"Aversa. Our guest this week on the pinstripe planes podcast is the first non contributor, we've asked back for a second interview. Now, we'll give you a number that actually matters. He's only the fourth editor in chief in the seventy seven year history of the legendary publication baseball digest his career in sports media spans over four decades. Of course, he spent eleven of those years manning the hottest seat sports as the senior director of media relations for the New York Yankees from ninety six to six he's also an adjunct professor at Iona, college, consultant and motivational speaker we welcome back onto the pinstripe planes podcast. Mr. Ricks, Sarah. Hi, rick. How are you? I'm great ralphie. That's a great intro. But the last time we spoke it's now seventy eight years the history of baseball digest seventy eight. Okay. So I'm still here. We'll add one more onto that. And I know last year you took on this gig at baseball digest as the editor. And chief why did you do it? It was a great challenge ownership made a decision that. At one they were outsourcing, everything and number two. They basically wanted to re imagine a an iconic brand that was clearly distressed. And when I say distressed most people that I talked to last year when I did my due diligence about this. You know, people in baseball from, you know, Bob Costas to general managers to PR directors. They all would say, oh my God. I read that I used to collect on this that I didn't know it was still around. So we really had our work cut out for us. And I've been doing this now. Oh, little less than a year. My first issue was the September October issue of last year. And I couldn't be happier with where we are where we've been and the direction of the magazine what was the biggest challenge. I guess facing. Your are the biggest issue that you've had a tackle since becoming editor and chief well number one. I think the magazine needed rethinking in terms of its direction. You know, we come out six times a year right now, we OPD it'll be more in the future. But you know, we've got. To tell compelling stories that have been told about the game and the people in and around the game. And that's what we've set out to do. And I think we've been really successful. We've had some terrific stories. Great photography, great writers. But the biggest challenge I think or the first challenge let's say was to re-engage baseball digest. I with the baseball community. I mean, we were just not on the radar of the teams will give you an example, one of the things I learned last year and again doing my due diligence before accepting the position was that. Baseball digest had presented a player of the year award since nineteen sixty nine which meant that last year. My first year would be the fiftieth presentation of or awarding of a player of the year award. And I say awarding rather than presenting because they had never presented anything never even given an award. So they had three what I consider three premiere wards the player of the year the pitcher. Of the year, which they began in nineteen ninety four and the relief pitcher the year, which they started back in two thousand twelve so this is the first time one we had a panel of baseball knowledgeable baseball people. I mentioned Bob Costas. Chris Russo Harold Reynolds, Steve Phillips, Bill Madden. Fift- fifteen member committee that selected the awards we got great visibility and exposure when we made the announcement. And that's something they had never done before. They had never announced the winner. We got great visibility there. And then we set out to actually present a magnificent award. It's a eighteen pound. Crystal clear, crystal memento, an inside the memento is a three dimensional etching a full figure etching of the of the player..

"Subscribe and Tele friend tell you all right. A lot of energy on this Thursday morning. We usually drop Wednesday afternoon. And that was the plan this week up until Saturday, then things got a little iffy. When I got a call from my friends at dick Clark productions, and they wanted me to fly to Vegas to be the warm up act for the was six or seven straight year. But doing it since I've been at the billboard music awards since twenty thirteen I've been doing this warm up back thing since twenty fourteen I go on stage before the show begins during commercial breaks to hype up the crowd. Tell them what's coming up next so on and so forth. And so I figured okay. Well with the billboard music awards being on Wednesday. They were last night. And by the way, I'm taping. This from New York, I took the Red Eye back. I was literally in Vegas for twenty four hours. I added a good amount of this week's episode on the plane ride to Vegas. The plan was to tape my open and close in my hotel room, and then hopefully, drop it. Last night before I left Vegas or on the plane ride and Vegas happened. Not the typical Vegas trip though. I this is the first time I I mean, first of all I've never gone to Vegas for just twenty four hours. But it's the first time that I've gone to Vegas and haven't gambled really didn't drink either for that matter but didn't gamble at all was gonna try to get a bed on yesterday's game. Goodness. I did not because I would imagine. I don't know if the keys were were getting are giving runs actually. So I don't know. Maybe if they were getting runs maybe that would have been a good bet. But didn't even have time to go to the sportsbook at the MGM grand where I was staying was getting the updates while I was in dress rehearsal at the billboard music awards. I've you like every time I was like backstage at the American music awards. You know when Sanchez hits that long fly ball, we end up losing the Red Sox. And then I'm I'm at the billboard music awards when we lose to the diamondback, so not a lot of good juice. Our guest last week would say not a lot of juice there. When you're talking about me at award shows, try to keep up with the Yankees nonetheless. You don't care about award shows you care about our beloved Yankees. Although I will say one quick aside. There was one Yenkey related thing that happened to me while I was backstage the billboard music awards the dressing room that I was using as the because it's like you're treated as a performer, essentially, only, you're just not on the telecast. But you're on stage. You know, there's make up and wardrobe and all that fun stuff the dressing room that I was using was in the same neck of the woods as Sierra's dressing room. And so I read into later in the evening Seattle Seahawks quarterback and New York Anki. Russell Wilson junior. The third did say hi to Russi set a low back that was cool. So yeah, there's my one little Yankee note from I twenty four hours to Vegas. All right to the Yankees into this week's guest. He was he's the. I I'll save that for the intro. He he was great last year on the airplanes podcast. We had to bring them back especially now that is full time job is really in full swing as the editor in chief of baseball digest, of course for eleven years. He was the head of PR for the New York Yankees. During all the championship years. Those dynasty years in the nineties and early two thousand one the only mister Rick Saron got a lot of great stories for us. Again. He joins us right now on episode twenty two of the pinstripe lanes podcast. Welcome back to the dry plains podcast. I'm ralphie.

"But I do think that it's very very tight. It's a city block. It's very very tight. For my money. You know, I think pet going it's history. But I think Petco is a tremendous park in San Diego. I think target field in Minnesota is very underrated park. You know? I don't like Washington that much have been a lot. I'm not a big. I don't like Miami that much. I've been there. You know, there are you know, I think Houston's a good park. I mean, I think there's five or six Vicky gotta basically break them down to the ballpark. That's the older ballpark Dodger Stadium Yankee Stadium, theoretically Fenway Wrigley that kind of parking new park. I didn't get a break down. What you like better? Camden is great park too. I I like the old the charming new park that has about forty thousand seats that's kinda park that I like Christopher mad dog Russo here on the pinstripe planes podcast. I'm ralphie Aversa. I trust your opinion on this for a number of different reasons. But you know, the common refrain that I'm sure you heard and that I certainly heard as a fan. Throughout the twenty seventeen postseason was while this place? Sounds like the old ballpark. Agree disagree. Yeah. I think there's some I was hearing oh nine when they won the championship and obviously into when they closed on the audience stadium in oh eight I just think, you know. I think a big issue. The new Yankee Stadium is is the fact that is too many home runs. I mean right field to joke in pop up the bull leaves the park. So I mean, I have a I have a little issue. I understand the old ballpark to boil left the park. And obviously they built it for routes two hundred ninety five feet down the right field line. So I don't wanna make it sound like toys that it's been a great pitchers park for against all sorts of hitters left-handers voice had an advantage at Yankee Stadium. But I mean to me this park. I mean, it really it's a Bandbox. I mean, and I have a Yankee hierarchy would would reluctantly agree hierarchy little embarrassed by it? I don't think they figured out. The wind currents, you know. It's I think it's probably built a little lower the freeze there on the top. It's a little different. I think so I think the Yankee people would not like the idea that the home run is now become too much commonplace. And I think that hurts the charm. I think that just hurts the history of the stadium myself. And I think it's a problem. Now, the park itself is fine. I mean, nobody's gonna argue with the park itself. I do think it's too much of a museum. I think if you're a Yankee fan you like it. But I said if you betta park now city field is not located in a great spot. I mean, he can't get there. And you gotta take a subway is nothing to do around it. But I like city feel better than I like Hanky stadium as a baseball park. I just think it's a it's got a more a better feel to it as a park and Yankee Stadium does. I don't think he's great place. I nor do I think the middle of the giants sent a billion dollars. I don't think that that's not a great stadium either for football. So, you know, for whatever the reason I'm not in love with. Those two parks here in New York City. Yeah. I why definitely agree. I met life. It's it's way. It's almost too big. And it's actually even more sterile than Yankee Stadium from feeling standpoint. Yeah. Very very sterile. Very still quick trip down memory lane favorite memory from the old stadium. Well, I'm not a Yankee fan. So task me, you know to reminiscent about the great ballpark since I'm not a fan..

And here's too many more decades in in the venue, and and wherever else you may expand to Mark Lebel again cone or of low bells they so much for the time in further insight here on the airplanes podcast. "And I'll mention this again when we bring our guests onto the podcast, but we're going to tempt to do a lot of stuff this year around the ten year anniversary of new Yankee Stadium. I can't believe it's been ten years either. And this guy's been there since the beginning of the new Yankee Stadium his relationship as you'll find out with the inky, particularly some of the Yankee brass Yankee ownership dates back even past that he and his family. I believe good friends with them talking, of course, about low bells and the iconic low bells prime steak sandwich that can be found over in left field. One thirty four they have a number of locations now in the stadium, which will get to have a number of different menu items as well, including maybe even some new ones that will be introduced later this season not gonna you know blow the cover spill spill, everything spill all the beans. Mark Lowe bell co owner of low bells. This week's guest on the pinstripe lanes podcast. It's great listen as he tells us, how the relationship started how the steak sandwich started exactly by how many sandwiches it exceeded their expectations as I mentioned to him that I remember in the early days, they would sometimes sell out. And then of course, what we can look forward to moving forward with the steak sandwich and the little bells stands plural throughout Yankee Stadium. Mark Lebel co owner of low bells joining us in just a little bit here on the Penn stripe planes podcast, a couple of other items to get to I was just on stub and saw some of the delta sweet tickets dropped to one fifty four. Tonight's key Red Sox game did not fire because thankfully, our friend. Jamie has an extra pin stripe pass that she sent my way. So I will be using that to get into the stadium and standing out probably somewhere near the left field bleachers. Watching tonight's game. I did while I was on stubhub though. I finally realized if you click filter you're able to look at tickets instead of. Single section by sections by zone and choose multiple zones and or sections so I thought for some reason stub hub had gotten rid of that feature. They didn't they just hit it now in the filter section when you click on an event and you're looking for tickets. So there you go with that, I will save my opinion on these. But I did want to give you a heads up at the mother's day hats, which MLB says they donate their royalties to number of breast cancer research foundations, including Komen the mother's day hats for MLB have been released, including of course, the Yankees, they are four sale now on the shop and fanatics, I'll save my opinion for next week on those we have obviously a few weeks until the players Don those on mother's day on the fields. Also, by the way, speaking of fanatics, real quick I actually picked up some stuff from though this past week. They have one of the biggest sales on on current collection items in season that I have ever seen replica jerseys. Onfield apparel, the whole some of the. Lowest prices I've ever seen any of that stuff. So hopefully, if you were in the market for anything you're able to take advantage of that also see about the a making his return with the Yankees last weekend. I didn't go to any of the games last weekend. Because sadly, I was under the weather. Hopefully, we'll get to some games this weekend. As the Yankees welcomed. The royals into town tweeted out a photo of that was taken in January of twenty twelve up at Roosevelt field on Long Island. It was a Steiner sport signing and coincidentally enough. There were two people signing autographs CC's about ya. And Yvonne Nova, of course about the played against ova or pitched against them rather last weekend when he made his first start of the season. And I said I had a funny story to tell about it. I actually at the time was living in Scranton. And drove in really just for CeCe. I did end up getting a Nova signed by ten I'll never forget asking him. If he was going to be bouncing back and forth that year between Scranton and New York..

"Don't forget, we're at pinstripe lanes on all of your favorites social networks. Okay. So I went this past fall down to the Dominican Republic for my first time to the David Ortiz celebrity golf classic benefiting the David Ortiz. Children's fund big Papi is a very first of all he's a great host. But also he's super carrying and he gives back, and I know it's a little weird gang podcasts and them talking lovingly of Ortiz here. Look, I hate them just as much as any other Yankee fan imaging the baseball lines. But you know off the field. It's a different story as you'll come to here with our guest this week. And so poppy has found Asian. He uses it to help kids who are battling heart disease both in New England. And in the Dominican Republic, it's a great weekend that he has down in his native Dominican Republic a lot of other athletes and celebrities stars from using and movies. I'll come. Down a lot of big sponsors as well. There's a great live auction. And it's just a it's it's it's great that a poppy does the work that he does with his Dacian. But it's also be great that he shows off the Dominican Republic his his country in in such a great light, and such a great fashion. And I truly enjoyed my time down there with him and his crew end with everyone in the DR while I was there, of course, a number of athletes participating in the cause and a couple of former Yankees one, of course, being Johnny Damon who may be the only athlete that can walk into any restaurant in New York or Boston and have a drink and or meal purchased for him and his crew. But the other being somebody who probably wasn't too beloved in Boston. But I enjoyed his time as a Yankee for sure, and I know a lot of my friends did as well. And then of course, was former Yankee number eleven Mr. Gary Sheffield and was interesting. I started off my chat with Gary by. By recalling time in two thousand sixteen may of two thousand sixteen it was poppies last season in the bigs. And I remember going to a game a Saturday day game in the Bronx the Yankees ended up winning. It was one of those like four o'clock first pitches on FOX Yankees Red Sox. Poppy goes oh for four Yankees win. I'm so pumped up. I'm like, you know, what I'm buying tickets..

"Nine three seven, seven six. But let me get the Boston for second in regards to this. Again, I'm very serious about what I'm saying. When I looked to. Boston having more pressure on them. Than anybody else. He is not just your record is the fact that the first playoff series you have going up against the Yankees. You were eight gains better than them in the regular season. But Chris sale has been heard. David price has been a consistent and not up to snuff in some people's eyes. Listen, if that's what you got going on. Along with Celo. Excuse me. If you're the Yankees used to be able to take these folks. You should be able to take them. I'm not saying they're going to be the favorites. I don't give a damn about all that. I'm saying that the Yankees win the series. The question is. Will day. And if so, how? I don't think it's going to be because the Yankees might end up spectacular. I think it's going to be because Boston might will underneath the pressure. Am I speaking hopefully fulfilled with emotion? Yes, I am. I confess it because I'm are bleed Yankees. But I still think they can do it. It's not like I'm faking that emotion. I still think the Yankees can find a way to get it done. It eight say ESPN it's edited seven to nine, three, seven, seven, six. Congratulations. Severino. Congratulations. The judge Aaron judge for setting the tone. Congratulations. They'll potentials the shoring up and handle his business mock condolences to the Oakland aids. Nice. Try. What will happen just was go ahead. It did they'd say, ESPN edited seven to nine, three, seven, seven, six couple of other stories I wanted to get into Thursday night football going up New England versus Indianapolis. I'd love to tell you I'm looking forward to this, but I'm really not. Here's a reality, the New England Patriots getting Jillian Ataman back. And we don't know what weapons Andrew luck is going to have available to him, t, y, Hilton. We don't know if he's play. He hasn't been healthy. Along with the author of other news. The fact of the matter is this, the New England Patriots of the New England, Patriots and culture. Not what they used to be because Andrew luck is not what he used to be. And it's a shame because as good as Andrew luck was and I believe he's still can be. I think the Indianapolis coach one could argue is wasting away the best years of this man's career. I really, really feel that way. And I just think that it's absolutely positively undeniable. What is their expect from edgy look? He can't even throw a hill, a hail, Mary. They gotta bring into Kobe, reset to do that a couple of weeks ago Najibullah came back, rectified himself, some degree. But when you think about the the, the upper echelon of the national fully anybody thinking about the colts. You certainly thinking about New England and you certainly wondering, where do they go from here? And I'm of the Mazda. I think Julian Edelman coming back through solve a whole bunch issues. The brothers got swag. He's got moxie scared in thing. He's coming at it and he's one of Tom Brady's favourite and most trusted targets. I think that matters. I think that matters. Whether or not Indianapolis going to be able to do something about it. I doubt maze to be seen, but I doubt it. And that's just one NFL item. I'm going to get into the other items that the Pittsburgh Steelers talked yesterday about welcoming levian bell back. They attitude is, we'll see, we'll see. We'll see, but he's are teammates familiar with the system. Sure, we welcome back. Let me tell you something. I think everybody's asking the wrong question. Has the steel is going to react to the return of levian Blair House, Levy on bell, going to react to them. He didn't portray them as a business decision. Everybody and their grandmother knows it. It's not a secret anyone in more money and held out in the Steelers franchise tag for the second consecutive year. And he was not happy about that. We understand that we get it..

"You gotta get those things done. You gotta do something to put everybody on notice here you come because you're the Yankees. That's why. And by the way, I'm very confident even though I'm a little nervous, I'm more confident than the Yankees beating Boston that I was and then winning a one game playoff game last night because it's one and done. But in a best of four series, I'm gonna make the argument. I think the Boston Red Sox my end up being a little bit nervous. That's right. I said it. You the Boston Red Sox. Everybody's been bloviate about you all year long. One hundred games. I'm sorry. You're the one with the expectations. Yankees only been the one World Series and won and in two thousand nine Boston is one three. I ain't gonna go ever forget the fact that they raise the curse being down three, nothing came back and won four straight and two thousand four. I'm still sick to my stomach over that one. I got it understand it. Well, let me tell you something right now is the Yankees that Boston has the most pressure give if you lose the Houston. Let me tell you something right now used to one hundred and three games. Houston also happens to be raining fended World Series champions. And when you look at their rotation with Verlinden kaikal and coal and the crew excuse me, Charlie Morton and those boys. Let me tell you something that rotation is legit. It's real. It's authentic and says the champions without to van spring and the rest of the crew. I don't have any reason to doubt Houston, they should be the favorites. So if you're Boston and you're going up against up and you don't feel the pressure we can understand because if you lose no harm, no foul against the rain independent World Series champions who obviously have a more elite pitching staff. But what excuse would you have losing to the New York Yankees. This is the question. What possible excuse would you have for losing to the New York Yankees. Aaron, judge. Without for awhile, missed about fifty games this year. Only played one hundred, twelve twenty seven home runs about sixty seven. Rb is proven, he's fluke, but he hasn't been healthy, Gary Sanchez. I want to stand up giving him give him a standing ovation when he didn't let Severino's pitch. I think in the fourth of the fifth inning go buy them 'cause quarter on the ground. That's usually not something Gary Sanchez does. So I was very proud that he kept the ball in front of him and then surrender run because of it. Allah gregorious. His sacrifice fly bringing in Luke voi- who almost looked like he was tagged out by the way, but he's called safe by the unpire. I'm looking to Giancarlo Stanton his four hundred and forty three foot shot. Although it came devoid of crunch time, you know ambience. He can't be a front runner from time to time hitting those shots when they don't count most. But I believe in staying and I know he's a stood and I'm happy to have him on his seat. Everywhere you turn the Yankees, have answers enters and more answers. And if you have that kind of stuff going on, if that's the kind of stuff that's happening. You're in a good situation because you got your bet responded to the challenge. You without Burton Alana tourists Gregorios got Voight. You gotta judge you got Sanchez. The list goes on and on. You should be able to handle your business, but take Eulalie at Fenway park. That's how I feel about it. But it remains to be seen. Was going to happen with the New York Yankees. What I would tell you is this if Severino pitches the way that he pits last night and you get quality pitching from this staff Yankees going to beat the Red Sox. I'm tired of all of this doors about these damn Red Sox of what they do to the New York Yankees. What's going to happen to the Red Sox? And that's the question. One down three to go down. I mean to be man for the fifth floor Maher show I put a four three thinks what down three to go. You got to us. Beat Boston. You got to which would probably be Houston your break them, and then you got the Yankees going up against the dodgers and just take the dodgers out of their misery and have them lose yet another World Series. They win win since nineteen. Eight anyway, they'll get over it. All I'm saying is I'm looking at my yankee's right now. Very, very happy. Eighty eight say ESPN that's always the number to call eight eight seven to.

"Aaron judge is the perfect reincarnation of Derek Jeter for the modern era and the Yankees, right? You hear the answers. You hear the way this guy addresses the market. You either way he dresses the media, how he shoulders the load is the face of this franchise. Now, does it as a power hitter, which is the modern era of baseball? This home runner bust mentality that we've seen go through the entire league is led by Aaron judge and for him to come out and constantly be a the most clutch player on the team and be the perfect face of this franchise. The Yankees could not be in better hands and they couldn't have asked for a better guy to take up that mantle after a time when they lost their identity in Derek jeeter who had been there for so long. So we get that from Aaron judge in the Yankees. We get to look forward to. The Red Sox and the Yankees rivalry back on in the postseason for the first time since the AL CS in two thousand and four. And then we get this air quotes rivalry on Thursday night football. And I don't mean that to demean what this rival. We wants meant with Peyton Manning and Tom Brady going toe-to-toe in the AFC for what felt like the better part of a decade. But. In its current form leaves a lot to be desired and limping into this Thursday night bout, literally limping with the amount of injuries this specially the colts sustained. You look at their injury report in the amount of players downgraded out already heading into the Thursday night matchup and it is the perfect storm for the patriots to get back on track. It started last week against Miami, but you could still see a little bit off kilter. This could get full throttle for the patriots offense, but now gets to reinsert Julian Edelman, who might help their third downhills at now gets to balance out in a way. And we've seen all the stats historically for when Julian Edelman rob gronkowski around the field at the same time. Well, look, no further because Chris Ballard the colts GM pointed out way back in February, the rivalry is back on. And so now the rivalry spins forward and focuses on the here and now, and I think the patriots could get a blowout win tonight in Thursday night football. I would Bank on that that as we've looked at the patriots offense of performance so far in team performance and it's left a lot to be desired. This could be the night to get it out of them. This night is a lot more about the continued health and development of Andrew luck in my mind when the weapons are falling down around him, can he continue to be that guy? And I really just want to hear him talking Andrew luck on his physical performance right now when it comes to the scene. You feel like you're still working on one corner? I always be a work in progress, and I'd like to think that every day I can become a better thrower and whether that means more zip on a certain throw, whatever means putting it an inch to the left of the writer on his right shoulder, earn appropriate spot. The approach I'm taking the team stays that we always can improve that. We always have to get better at the same time. I think I know I'm at a level where I can make all the throws and I feel confident, but I'm going out there with my full arsenal about makes sense. I don't think anything is basically holding me back..

"Yes, you can do both warning this product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical. Basco Bruce n last the podcast. Yankees win the Yankees win because they do last night going out of style, the Yankees and the Astros in the AL wildcard round the eggs, get a big win seven, two two is the final as they give the people what they want. Now a series coming up against the Boston Red Sox in the AL playoffs. And we looked in sort of stood on a cliff where we could've lost to marquee franchises going into the playoffs in the same day to wildcard round that we know is a little bit precarious because of that, you get this one done, doer diamond tally that yesterday saw the brewers. Excuse me, the Rockies take out the cubs day after the brewers had taken out the cubs. And now we saw the Yankees getting up here to face the as and as team the couldn't be doing it much more differently than the Yankees. If they tried to going with openers playing that brand of small ball that we know in the Yankees. Getting up there with their monsters at bat and letting them shine last night. And that's exactly what happened. And we saw early the effect of Aaron, judge a guy who had been missing for a lot of the month of August. We know a dealt with that wrist injury, and instead got the party started with a two run shot early last night in the first inning that really helped settle everything down because we know what a difference it made for Luis Severino on the mound. The difference this year, thirteen ino- when getting that one run lead that one run bit of support to start the party off for them early in these games and you saw just settle from there on out and going into this postseason going into really the time when they got him back. I said for all the firepower in this Yankees offense. And for all we made him for all the stink. I made yesterday about Giancarlo Stanton and the weight on him. I forgot especially. When the Yankees were humming the season, what a force Aaron judge's as a clutch hitter for them as the guy who really is the one who drives the ship when they need a big play when they need someone to settle the group, it really has in his second season become judge as the guy. And we saw that last night we heard from judge last night who talked about the totality of this moment with our own Tim, Kirk, and after the game, Aaron, you survive the wild card game out. Good. Feels great, you know. But I, you know, congratulations though. Cannot lettuce on, you know what? Season they had punk competing against them. But man as wall card game, takes years off my life. Take me through the bat in the first inning. When you hit the two run home. Hindrance, man. He's got a really good fastball. They use the both sides of the plate, you know. So once I got in a good hitters count myself to get ready for a good pitch, you know many middle end and try to do some damage on about the job that Dellenbaugh Tana's did in the fifth inning. How important was that while coming in that situation? You know, after Severino that's that was a ballgame right there. They would have got a couple of, right. There's game tonight a little different, but you know, we got all the faith and, and that's why I came in that situation. So what, what performance by him last thing when you start thinking about the Red Sox. Off tonight. You know, we're going to celebrate tonight. You know the hard work that went into the night, but knowing the morning now get on, get on a train, headed to Boston and get ready for that series. I last here on ESPN radio and the.

"Back this podcast. Jimmy MacKay PT podcast for breaking down that whole Aaron judge situation for us. Hopefully, we see judge back. Hopefully, if you're going to buy this ballpark pass for September. You'll get to see Mr. judge at some point. Yes. For those who missed it the Yankees issued in August a ballpark pass first time they've done this. I think ever, but certainly with the new stadium forty nine ninety nine it. Gotcha in every originally scheduled game for the month of August. So it was not good for that makeup game on that Monday against the Mets. But you got into pretty much every other game that month. It's similar to the pinstripe. Passwords, you could just stand anywhere. You don't get a seat. However with the ballpark past depending on seed availability, you are eligible to upgrade to a see in. Of course, unlike the ball, the pinstripe pastors no drinking colluded with the ballpark passed the month long pass to get into Yankee state. Idiom and cheer on the Yanks. Fewer games in September included with this pass eleven as opposed to the sixteen in August. But it's timber year might have a pennant race. You might not the Yankees. Maybe hopefully, you're at the very least trying to secure that wildcard spot and secure the fact that you know, they'll at the moment at least host that wildcard game in October. So you get that you also get a series against the Red Sox, which I mean, this that's almost unprecedented. The fact that you have this kind of all access pass in the Red Sox games or just included with it is kind of cool. We did by the way reach out again to the keys to see a why they're offering it for September. And be if this is something we could expect in two thousand nineteen they said they would get back to us next week. So stay tuned in next week's pinstripe lanes podcast. Hopefully, we have a statement from the Yankees, and or somebody from the Yankees on ideally, somebody from ticketing and marketing onto kind of talk about this this ballpark pass because I am fascinated by for sure. Now as far as why they're offering it in September with a potential postseason run and the Red Sox series. I do think there are a few things to take into consideration. Here. A fewer games be with people going back to school returning to their normal Monday through Friday schedules. You may see a bit of a dip in attendance, especially if there isn't a pennant race attached to this see on the weekends. Now, you're going to be competing with college, football and pro football. Of course, there's d I hope that. Of the I mean, I hope there's a pennant race. But also hope d- doesn't happen. Which is there was a drop in the temperatures, obviously September that's going to happen at some point falls going to have to come already kind of feels like it's it's on the way and around the corner. But so there are some other factors that may be playing again. Maybe they're also looking at historically how the Yankees do in September from a ticket sales standpoint from an attendant standpoint. So maybe that's also factoring. And then nonetheless, though, the ballpark price. You would think if it wasn't popular the first go around that it wouldn't be back for September. So they had to have had some success with it to bring it back. That's my field my own personal feeling hopefully next week. We we hear straight from the source, but it's a Yankees dot com. If you didn't get the Email this past week. I believe you click on tickets, a hopefully there you could find it. If you didn't get the Email find somebody who did maybe they can Ford to the invite because same thing is with the August ballpark pass you will have to register the opportunity to buy it. There you go a little ticketing a little injury news a sell out Heidi Wotton, who maybe we'll have on next week. If we don't have somebody from the Yankees ticket department on and that's it. I don't want to go too long on the opening segment because we received another great spot this week somebody who is super generous with their time. I will tell you who that isn't a second. However, I will start with this. I have found finally won silver lining in players weekend for those who don't know players weekend is now this annual event where all of the teams the major league baseball have to wear these dopey slow pitch softball looking uniforms. These silver lining in this for the Yankees is that at least this year. They're not at home. They are not throwing away. The treasure tried and true pinstripes for these awful pullover. Uniforms with stupid nicknames on the back, at least they're away. Now, I will have to witness these in person they'll be in Baltimore, and I will be down at Camden for the games next weekend. But nonetheless. Yes. Not at Yankee Stadium. At least I still think the uniforms. The the whole thing is stupid. I don't get it. How ever there's a tie in to that? And this week's guest in that believe it or not a Hanky uniform from last year players weekend is now sitting where else Cooperstown New York. That's right. The baseball hall of fame. "Not told you before I told you weeks ago the DA l. e. straits was over the second. The Yankees got swept in four games at Fenway park and went down nine and a half games. It was over. So why do I sit here upset and pretty peeved and tech off right now. It's very, very simple. Do you know that my New York Yankees had the audacity unmitigated gall. To lose to the New York? Mets yesterday, the New York? Mets. Baseball's definition of Obama nation. The New York? Mets. You know what made it even worse. They lost to a New York Mets team, what a pitcher and Jacob degrom who I wanted. It's very guy. I've been crying for awakes leading up to the trading deadline for the New York Yankees. Why? Because the Houston Astros are there with Burland kaikal those boys and I don't care that mccullers ended up matter. He'll be back. Would a Boston Red Sox. The best team in baseball. Not quietly, but certainly not what the noise and a possessing a pomp and circumstance of the New York Yankees. Just flat out bowling. Mookie Betts, envy peak candidate. Chris sale Cy Young award candidate, even when David price not developing nearly enough to beat a solid, reliable number two that you need him to be dozen, not. This still ahead of people like the Baltimore Orioles about fifty damn games. It got the Yankees by double digits by ten, it's over. Narron Raj, Aaron, judge, rather, I'm sorry, he's got his little wristed three ever need to take a swing at the back. Sanchez, what did he do it. I've lost faith the Severino a damn good. He looked. He looked great against Boston. Tanaka my whole could not go on. On him. Disgusted, absolutely. Positively discussed this get to my legs damn nerves. The Yankees are trial about tank games in the American League Ie's cici's Sobat has now been placed on a deal with me, apparently captain crunch. Handed him it just to be a strength spinach for his plot by mentality, and now that's not working. Parrot just do not take it swigs after breaking his wrist. Severino seven fifty ERA over his last seven starts. Dammit. Dammit. None of stain. Then the Yankees are gonna make the playoffs, but there's this baseball. You know what? That means. One game one game. Is that a best two of three or five? It's not a best, four, seven. It's one game after one hundred and sixty two games. It's one gain. And I know somewhere the great, but the only the great. Tim Chen, just laughing at me. Michael Kay dammit laughing at me because Warren Don won the Greco. Well, you people make me six times when it comes to the stuff. They live to laugh at me because I get emotional about my Yankees. It bothers me dammit..
