But now colorado's attorney general says the issues with aurora. Police are deeper than that one case. He says. Remember as part of a larger plan to fight the pandemic and the delta variants the white house announced a new mandate coming soon. It says all companies with one hundred or more employees must require workers either be vaccinated or get weekly kovic testing businesses. That don't could face thousands of dollars in fines. Well arizona's attorney general calls that unconstitutional and filed the lawsuit. He argues the plan discriminates against us citizens since undocumented migrants detained at the border are not required to get vaccinated other republicans have also questioned. The legality of such a massive medical mandate for now at least president biden is not backing down. He met with top execs. From companies like microsoft disney and walgreens. It was an effort to highlight companies. Who have already required employees get vaccinated and some were workers. Get the shots.

Many companies already have their own plans in place but biden's announcement last week has been met with mixed reactions from the business community and the plan is also facing legal challenges from republican governors. Twenty me now with more on sentiment around the mandates is wall street journal white house reporter. Sabrina siddiqi hi sabrina. Thanks for being here. Thanks for having me so sabrina. Despite criticism of this mandate president biden has been strongly defending it. so let's start with businesses. Who are on board. What have you been hearing from the ceos of those companies abou- why they're choosing to go along with the president's plan. Well it's interesting. Because i spoke with the ceo of columbia. Sports where tim boyle and he said that the company had actually been debating internally whether or not to have more strict vaccination requirements they had just been encouraging employees to get vaccinated but didn't make it a mandate or a requirement of any kind and. He said that part of a concern about requirements was that employees who did not want to get vaccinated. Might just go seek employment elsewhere and so what the columbia sportswear ceo. Tim boyle said was now that the president is creating a standard across all businesses with more than one hundred employees. It kind of levels the playing field and so employees will know that this is actually going to be a requirement across the board and not just at their place of

I just had a fire dr recently here where he said. If you're not vaccinated you have to be tested and all this. I said listen. I'm not going through this cova. Caste system to get a physical threw him out of my life found another doctor. Great guy who have known for awhile and we're doing very well. Rachel e mails freedom. Charlie kirk dot com. This is very important she says. Hey charlie love your show and love what you're doing for this country. I wanted to let you know about my experience but ivermectin. i have a doctor who's willing to prescribe it as a prophylactic as well as a treatment you doctor. I just got an email from her two weeks ago saying that the fda is mandating them the stop prescribing ivermectin. When i go to pick up my refill of my ivermectin speak with the pharmacist. He informed me. this happens to be through. Walgreens that walgreens will no longer be filling in because the fda is saying that the side effects are bad and the dosage for humans has not been documented. Well enough now. I fully believe that ivermectin a hydrochloric could be ways to prevent cova. Oh by the way for a full day supply. Five day supply of ivermectin. The price one hundred forty dollars who is super high compared to everywhere else outside the united states that is true now. The fda has stepped in not only block doctors but also pharmacists from filling prescriptions. Even though doctors are willing to prescribe it. I feel like now. This drug is going to be get going the black market or something. Oh yes just you know. Ivermectin will be heavy mortar much more heavily regulated than cocaine and heroin. If any suggestions on how to get ivermectin please let me know. But it's also something to do a little more. Digging on of used america frontline doctors for hydrochloric but it seems they're getting backed up as well. We'll look let me just say this anything. The fda says needs to be taken with a grain of salt the fda. They did a deal with the sackler family. To basically legalize oxy contin or oxy oxycontin that killed tens of thousands of people across the country in the fda was in on it too. Don't give me this whole thing. But the fda knows what's best for you but what does the nih say. What's amazing is if you go to the nih website which is our own government. They haven't taken these down. Interestingly we've talked about this. Before and i h ivermectin a multifaceted drug of nobel prize distinction with indicated efficacy against a new global scourge. That's the nih website. And i h h says that national institute of health ivermectin can have antiviral action it stops viral replication. Ivermectin works when distributed extremely safe. This is the too upset. I'm reading straight from the nih website. Nih ivermectin in india india. Whol white paper over sixty peer reviewed white papers showing that ivermectin could be helpful for your mind. Everybody but the real reason they hate it is that they know there is antiviral properties in it. But no one's gonna make any money off of it. At least the big players aren't gonna make money off of it as we said and we predicted merck is going to have trials underway for a daily cova pill how convenient so they say mass inoculation even though they now change the definition of a vaccine. We have been saying on this program. Since last april we need to focus on treatments and treatments and treatments and treatments. But now they're saying hey don't take ivermectin instead we're gonna take the copycat of ivermectin cut sixty eight. There is a clinical trial. "Not specifically addressed at all so this is kind of verifying the experts. Fear that this is either done on purpose or was a colossal mistake and a mistake. That walgreens isn't really willing to fix at this point in time. You know. I don't. I don't know i know it's not fixed yet. I know they know about it. I know the time the fix it before we published. But you know maybe after we published things will change. I really hope they do. Okay sarah last question. Like i said i'm not thrilled about going to walgreens for a cova test but let's say i had to. Let's say i was my only option. Now that we know about these vulnerabilities. Is there any way that i can protect my data and still get tested at walgreens. If that's my only option. I mean you can buy over the counter tests from them that you don't have to give them any information at all but if your only option is to get a test like one of their drive through tests that you have to sign up for you you have to give them data and i believe it has to be accurate So with the walgreens vaccine story we kind of had the same thing where it was like you know yes. They take a whole lot of data. If you're not comfortable with that is more important that you just get the vaccine. If that's the way to get it you know yes. And i think i feel that way about test to you. Think you have cloven and walgreens dot com is the only way you can get it as like. Please please get a test sarah. Thanks for joining us. "Free world faces in the decades ahead and meanwhile the biden administration is doing nothing about china. Either so lest you think that it's just about russia they're doing nothing about china either. They continue to promote public statements made by the europeans. That don't actually have any teeth to them. In fact the left is too busy being angry at anybody. From entering the wuhan lab league theory member. Joe biden started taking it seriously like last week and then said maybe we should have like an intelligence committee investigation on all that. We'll get our intelligence people together though. Investigate all of this. This was the same day. Basically that report had been revealed that he'd shut down such an investigation that had been begun under the trump administration. Meanwhile robert redfield the former. Cdc director he says the scientific community acted to squelch the wuhan lab league theory while i was over at cdc. It just seemed like a lot of people wanted to squelch any idea that there was another hypothesis. And i think that's what i find the most disappointing because i would expect that from politicians. I would expect that from governments. I would never for the scientific community and yet what we witnessed was. The scientific community went on heavy to try to stop any open debate about the origin. This virus i find that this very very sad very disconcerting and very anti science according to redfield by the way anthony choose one of the people who is less than interested in investigating the lab league theory in the first place. I think tony is holding onto this hypothesis tightly. Now why why would that be sometimes scientists when they get on the bite into a bone hypothesis. It's hard for them to move on. I guess if. I'm disappointed about anything about the early scientific community is there seemed to be lack of openness to pursue. Both i posses and what's amazing about all of this again. You got joe biden. Not being able to putin things are going very poorly over there. Joe biden who literally glitched in the middle of the eu meetings in. Who's over there at the g. Seven and he just glitched for second time. And you know how bad his glitch was. We played a clip. Yesterday of joe biden answering a question. His gap in thinking was so long that i had to go back and re insert myself saying wait for it. Wait for it for radio because otherwise there was so much dead air that they would have taken the show off the air. That's how bad the glitches from joe biden. Meanwhile what does the left focused on. They're not focused. On the fact that joe biden is not really with us or the fact. That joe biden is busily ramping inflation. They're not worried. About the fact that joe biden is about to have russia his lunch. Now they're worried. About the fact that jon stewart said some things about who an lab leagues yesterday. Johnston on stephen colbert and he said funny and drew things about wuhan lobley situation. And the media's response was. How dare john stewart do this thing. I think we owe a great debt of gratitude to sciences. Science has in many ways helped ease the suffering of this pandemic Which was more than likely caused by science.

"Talking about this article from the new york times with the headline of walmart becomes largest. Us vaccine provider to join push for digital vaccination credentials vaccine at walmart. That's ghetto where else you gonna get. Walgreens i mean walking's just a little step up i don't know if you guys have seen it but it. They did a great job of the most recent south park episode. The vaccination special. I i have seen it i. Perhaps i wasn't in the. How do i say this. The correct state of mind to watch the episode. But i thought it was one of the least funny south park episodes. I've seen it. I don't know. I started cracking up right away. Everyone's trying to get in the walgreens because it's like a nightclub but the only people allowed in the old people only got the the old people get okay. That was funny. Yeah again perhaps. I was just not in the right state of mind if you are picking up on land. I liked the face diaper special. I don't know what they called that but that was pretty funny. The pandemic special. Yeah i i didn't understand what the pandemic special was. Until i watched the episode and then i was like oh the pandemic specialities so frayed. They were going to be like are no telling people like everyone needs to be wearing masks but no so at any rate people who get covid nineteen shots at thousands of walmart. And sam's club stores may soon be able to verify their vaccination status airport schools and other locations using a health passport app on their smartphones.

This latest round of funding marks the second time the company has doubled its valuation since the beginning of the pandemic instacart is now estimated at a whopping forty billion dollars. Not hard to figure out. Why investors are betting on the service. Instacart was a lifeline. For many when everything started shutting down because of the covid nineteen pandemic the service was away from any to avoid going to the grocery store and the inherent risk of that formerly mundane chore and others got hooked on the convenience of it all. Why go to the store when you could just order up the groceries on your phone and have them delivered to your house within a couple of hours before those benefits consumers were willing to pay quite the premium instacart charges as much as nine dollars per delivery or you can pay one hundred bucks a year for unlimited free delivery on top of that grocers pay ten percent per order which is no small amount in an industry where margins usually average two percent or less according to forbes grocers like acne costco wegman's and others have formed instacart partnerships even kerfuffle over the service firing employees. Who wanted to unionize wasn't enough to stop this carts momentum speculation about the company going public and when is swirling with one reuters reports saying instacart might even avoid a traditional ipo an opt for direct listing in which companies go public without raising money through a stock sale but going public is always a bed of roses just ask competitor jordache which went through an ipo in december. Even though the company has agreements with mega retailers. Like seven eleven and cbs. In addition to its restaurant partners and beat its fourth quarter revenue estimates to boot jordache stock dropped because of its big losses due to ipo costs and stock related compensation according to cnbc citron research called door dashes ipo. Quote the most ridiculous of twenty twenty and said the stock was not worth a fraction of its price. The main concern about the valuations around these delivery. Service companies is. What happens after the pandemic with vaccinations. Well underway hopeful new. Cdc guideline saying that we can hug mom and dad again with caution will consumers still be willing to pay more for convenience on a recent earnings call. Jordache leaders reported still seeing growth in areas where covid restrictions have been eased a hopeful sign for the future at instacart the companies using its windfall to secure deals with a broader retail base. Retailers put brakes on state moves to scrap mask mandates
"Local retailers air saying, Hey, master going to stay in place, aren't they? Yeah. Number of stores were saying that big change in Texas Mark Kroger H. E B, Big grocery store chain in Texas, CVS, Walgreens best by Target, Macy's Jasey Benny and then Toyota and GM. They're saying that Masks here are gonna still be required and Kroger seconds, doing what needs to be done to keep customers and employees safe. Abbott saying the governor Abbott, that's perfectly fine that they could do whatever they want to do on their property. But That he believes it's time to get going again. And here's how he's goodness in Texas and across the country. We now have the vaccine. Vaccines to protect Accidents from Kobe more than 5.7 million vaccine shots. Have already been given to Texas. But his critics including many and the health care side of things, they're saying, yes, it's looking a lot better, and we're going down the road of hopefully being somewhat done with this soon, but They feel like just give it a few more weeks and that they've got 29 million people in Texas. And, yes, $5.7 million has been given out split that in half because of two doses for most of them, And it's a small fraction of the poet folks in Texas who have the shot yet and then. You look the positivity rates in Texas. They 14% which is higher than many states, California which was so big couple of weeks ago, now down to 2.1% so You've got folks saying, Yeah, we want to get going again. But in the medical world they're saying just give us a few more weeks today in Alabama that the governor there Republican governors, she's saying they want to get there. She says she feels like what Texas Mississippi you're doing is just a little bit too early. Even with this positive news. I have a Dr Harrison. I'm both convinced that we need to get past Easter. And hopefully a lamb. Oh, Alabamians to get their first shot before we take a step. Some other states have taken to remove the mask or altogether and lift the restrictions outside of a handful of states, Texas, Mississippi, Florida and a couple of others. Generally, you're hearing this, okay? It's looking good, But let's tap the brakes just little bit. Give it a few more weeks and then and see if we can knock these things down. Okay. Okay, Alex. Thank you very much. I don't know if you just heard a little
Biden criticizes states for lifting mask mandates
"States are pushing back against President Biden, accusing them of Neanderthal thinking following their decision to reverse covert 19 safety policies, including Mask mandates from Day one after President Biden sign that 100 Day nationwide made made Data Data on on federal federal property. property. He has been been pushing people to wear wear mass. Texas' power grid crumples under the cold
"Winter storms in texas have basically shut down the country's second biggest economy and extreme weather highlights the opportunity for the emergency preparedness industry okay. This seems to have escalated ridiculously quickly over the last week since monday. Millions of texans have been cold without power some cases. They don't even have water in just about all of the country. It's freezing outside right now but in texas it's also freezing inside because the electricity and the heat has been out statewide and then you get another arctic blast. That hit wednesday got kentucky west virginia louisiana off facing outages. To and while. Texans are trying to stay warm. Businesses are shut down okay. Huge numbers jack. And i noticed yesterday. Five hundred walmarts and nearly one thousand. Cbs walgreens pharmacies are closed. Just closed plus the oil and gas refineries in like oilfields their on hold too which has caused an oil price bike. Okay so you've got this fifty year storm. Basically nothing in texas was built to handle this kind of storm but we also noticed a trend within a trend. It's not just extreme weather. We're seeing more in this country. But extreme weather is leaving. More and more americans powerless for more and more days. Okay so that second part is the key here. Go back to two thousand seventeen. You get hurricanes and flooding on the gulf coast. Leaving americans powerless twenty eighteen and twenty twenty you had wildfires in california and the west which led to lots of electrical blackout. And now you've got twenty twenty one extreme cold snow in texas again. It's leaving americans powerless. Now there's always been hurricanes wildfires and snowstorms but not this frequently and not this severe so you got public officials in grid operators preparing for like what to do

"You could start the conversation like hey hey neighbor if you have a second. I have a question for you. Have you noticed that apartment See for c. For crappie they keep having parties and then they might say something like yeah. I love going over the party party. And you're like okay. Never mind i. W but they might be like. Are they really. That's no good. Or they might say i know i hate it. You getting some opinions. I think is a really good idea. I think the only two situations in which you interact with these neighbors in a direct way that is not the passive aggressive continuing to roll the eyes which pleased roll your eyes constantly. Just fucking gopher it is get some allies or have like the most gentle conversation possible because you know shaming people doesn't work which sucks because i love to do it feels so good to shame somebody who's who just fucking sucks and it sounds like these people do but there are other ways to manage this so again like we just said the mass that you have implied means that most of the people in your building are doing okay. Hey that's fucking good. You know. Also mr rogers mister rogers quote that's like look for the helpers fire with one of that people that are doing it right yeah make you feel a little better. What is the the updated version of that though for this. It's like it's not just look for the helpers. It's like look for the people who are not deliberately fucking up every paying for the people who yeah. There's a shorter we have saying that. I suppose my last piece of advice for this asker is open. Google docs pick a nice corporate looking font print out a sign laminate it and hang it and have it. Say that you suck. Oh good pretty. Great like sam laminating. It is like fucking sells it. I'd maybe multiple signs like only because he said it's an alley so like just put them in the alley like line the alley going so Elliot's in chicago at least part of chicago have a bunch of signs that say like don't feed the rats. Close your close your lids Don't put dog poop out in la 'cause rats love to eat all these signs make make one that make up your own signs right next to those. I love it so ridiculous. So i so. The inclusion of this question is the best coping mechanism that we can think of beyond you know having an altercation with your neighbor which really might not be worth it at all but the best coping mechanism is remembering bat. The people who are doing things right are far less visible. You know like people who are screwing up are the ones who are outside you know they are the ones that are making noise and so you notice them so much more and i hate saying like you just kinda have to deal with the fact that they suck but fuck that actually be the answer. Is that like especially if talking to them is not worth it. You know but you're doing well you're doing well. Thank you your buddy your buddy to us your front to us a distant cove front. Should we speed on this next question. I love it. Because i this is another cova buddy and aljaz go for it. Hey friendship i just started working as a screener. i am a temperature taker. And asker of covid related symptoms at a hospital. I see the same healthcare providers every day and now after weeks on the job. I am recognizing faces or at least the is inherent of the mask. My interactions with them are usually five to ten seconds. And i want them to feel welcome and cheery right off the bat the all wear name badges and some call me by my name. I have never formally introduced myself or vice versa. So my question is can i just go ahead. And address folks by their name or is that weird. I do delight in being weird but only if it doesn't make other people feel uncomfortable from my fern to yours okay. I like this person so much so much to go ahead and do it. In my opinion use their names. Use names whenever you can. It's a practice. That i found to be very nice and humanizing and i'm not particularly good at remembering or using people's names But it's something that that. I'd like to get better at anything that you can do to make your life a little nicer interior especially because you are a front line worker. We approve we approve. We prove anything making friends. Yes eating a bunch of carbs please. You drugs go for it. You deserve a free a free crime. Free of charge So i if saying somebody's name which is publicly facing information by the way it's on a name tag so it's not like you are going through hospital records and finding out identities. I do think that because Let me think wha- in what situation would it be weird to address somebody by their name on their name tag. I really can't super think of one. Especially if this person has been referring to you by the name on your name tag right. yeah absolutely. Maybe maybe it's tricky. If you don't quite understand someone title someone's title her how to use it. I i never know when to say like doctor or whatever but you are in a hospital. So it's probably. You're probably gonna have an easier time than i do. Yeah i mean you could just start. You could start a conversation. And i mean we're not saying like you're gonna go and make a million friends at the hospital because name badges that let me know like there are probably not going to be like close knit. Friend circles formed from this name. Bags maja situation. But in this time of involuntarily narrowing friendship circles we really encourage you to get your socialization in wherever you can. And like may have fell weird in the before times to refer somebody by the name on their name badge but like man smiling at people waving it. People like i would say absolutely go for it because the interactions that we have with people these days can be fraught and unpleasant like my most the most common interactions i have with people outside of my partner and like zoom calls of my friends is like the frantic grocery store trip. You know. y- there's a or going to walgreens and getting some drugs. Good old marge. Though the greens i wanted to mention oh walgreens ma means martin. I love walgreens march so much. She's one of the people who is like the crack team. That is keeping me alive and marge delights and being called marge and every time i go to walgreens i and basically every sentence in march like thank you so much margin at margin like. How's it hanging in march and in such a fun name to say you now. And i just i just love her and i could tell that she's happier and if i called her and she was like what the fuck i would never have done it again but like instead. She's just like oh. I'm sure she doesn't recognize me at all because mask and because she's sees million people but like it does seem to make her day a little more pleasant when being personal with her. Oh i absolutely think so. The energy your giving off there is contagious. Not only know something good contagious in a in a in a in a positive finally i like them. I like this ask her a lot and it occurs to me that they are the first person people see when they enter the hospital. That is a tough position. I'm sure you've seen some shit not only are you interacting with no the doctors and all the people that work there at the hospital all the people that are entering the hospital. This sounds like a tough job and it sounds like you're bringing joy to it and helping people and men i You're my time's person. The year yeah agree agree. I think that you should be able to have one unmarked bullet for whoever you want. I feel like you should be rewarded in many ways. So i guess the short answer. Yes yes go ahead you do it all. That's all this to say. Yeah yup who yes. Well this has been friendship with gentlemen. If you want to check out our book hell do it. You can just go to friendship. Book dot com and find out every piece of information you could ever want. You wanna follow us on twitter..

"Make them justify themselves. Yeah and the more you ask the more. The argument gross thin. You could go a different route to of this. Just occurred to me and i don't know if this is a good idea but i'm gonna find out what if you said like my partner is immune compromised and when you have parties. You really scare me now. Is that the truth. It has a flavor of truth in that there could be people in the building that are immuno-compromised. Yeah oh man almost certainly are like cool with this person. Lying wholly shine come to its applying for the greater good. Yeah and you know what you ask her. No doubt know someone who has a serious illness. We all do Absolutely absolutely i love when we tell people just fucking lie. I really really do. This is called the guilty but this is called a guilt tactic. And we don't usually advocate for trying to make people feel bad and guilty. But i am your friends. The friends and you don't have to be compassionate to everyone. Okay yeah you don't have to be patient with everyone. You just don't. You're a human being. I'm not advocating going and screaming at them. But if you did i would also understand you know i would i. There's a part of me that would cheer you on. I don't think you're going to do that. Just because unless you reach a breaking point and you just do that in which case please send us an a follow up email. Mealy let us know how. It's like one of the reasons that i love. The lying approach is first of all. There's no way for them to prove that wrong. None you know and like i. Just there's no way for them to to argue with you and to because every time they have a party you are confronted with the fact that there are people in this world who don't care and if every time they see you they are confronted with the fact that there are immunocompromised people in the world that deserve to be safe a safe as we can make them. I would love your face to make them feel so much fucking shame. Not great yeah. I'm really warming up to this idea of blatantly lying because because you know what's not ally you know what is truthful is that all the hospitals are full that that Non white people black people and brown people are getting. This are getting coronavirus In in numbers that are limitless and countless compared to white people. Yeah these are these are truths and can we give them a white lie that maybe will catch their attention right. Yeah why not. The first thing that they would counter with is well. We're not going to stop having fun in living our lives just because there's a flu around of and if they say that i have what i think is actually a good analogy and listeners. Asking let me know what you think about this. Because i'm going to use it in real life so it's a virus okay. It's not a car crash in a car crash. The car crash ends at some point. You know like it might be multi car pileup something like that. That's not what this is. This is if every time somebody got in a car crash it spawned exponential multiple car crashes forever you know like it's not it's not a one off thing it's something that continually feeds into itself and becomes larger so if they say like wilders loses few the flu and you're more likely to die of this and this and you're like it's not about you dying it's not about you getting sick. It's about us spreading it to people who will die and if you continue to do this that is indeed what occurs into continue. This analogy i. I'm i'm gonna start to ruin it. But i pretend this pretends mexico i'm in. I'm the people in that can afford the more expensive cars aren't going to get it. Oh yeah like the people airbags like they're going to feet but the people who are driving like my old eighty four dodge aries k. That never went over fifty miles an hour and had no airbags like. That's that's how goes you know. And that is so fucking shitty and the reason why we wear masks. The reason why we social distance is because we are combating the garbage the garbage. You know like we are we are. We are the heroes here. We are who we are waiting for is what they say. You know like god. So i feel like those are the only things you can say to them and again i i feel like you might agree with me when i say i would not talk to them like i wouldn't. I don't think they're going to change their behavior. I don't know i've I i can't say if i would or wouldn't i don't envy the the fact that this asker has a fruit review every day into people fucking up that we have really really mess with me. My obstr- upstairs neighbor right now is a nurse and where we're not particularly close. We don't run into each other very often. But i did blurt when i when i met her when she moved in it was right. When the pandemic started they moved in we were crossing paths. And i saw that. She was like you know dress to work at a hospital and i was like. Oh my god. You're such a hero. And she was. It was very awkward. And i definitely made it weird and more about me than about her. I don't know if either would confront this person. Part of me really wants to and part of me would be like fuck them. You know there are other things you could do. That are less mature. You could keep slamming doors in rolling. Your eyes actually do advocate for that. It might make you feel better. Yes you could write a stern no. It's exactly sign it. Get other neighbors to sign it. Yeah oh shit jen. You're there might be yeah. There might be an idea here. Actually wait yeah. Let's think about this for a second because those here's a thing like so this person it lives in an apartment complex and they're complaining about one apartment in that complex which i would say. That math must mean that most people in the building are not doing this as far as the ask her is aware so there are other people in the building that you talk to you. I personally talked to none of my neighbors. But what if you have a relationship with neighbors like people that you see you know in your fucking shared courtyard like wearing a mask like those are your allies. And maybe it's time to a team up to unionize to honestly appear union. It's a it's a like where a union of people who are not fucking up. we're gonna. We'd like you to stop doing that. Oh yeah looking for. Some allies is a great idea. Jen man you could..

"Is happening. I was going to say you're turning into a hood. Trend gandalf the white. God if only i could be like in a lofted away by eagles comeback and that would be very good ooh boy so arena transition this talk of aging into our question. John do you have any ideas. Because i simply do not. Speaking of being lofted away by eagles here is a question about someone. That should be doing that. I sounds really great Jen i i have an idea So when we started this episode we were under a time limit and we are also under the additional time limit that i really have to poop so what. It's a ticking time. I actually think that i actually. I have a better idea because the question is pretty long. How about. I go poop as fast as i can while you read the question and we'll try and cuts brilliant also. Take your time now. Never a bowel movement important jan. I've got the fastest ass in the west. I'm a vegan. i see. I know that i take it takes longer than two minutes. So oh my god okay. Yeah you're like. You're like a like a waterpark slide. Okay here we go hunt their friendship irs. I'm a she her in my late twenties. And i live in an apartment complex in a major american city. My next door neighbors have been behaving so poorly throughout this pandemic and is affecting my few of the rest of the world understandable every single weekend shelter in place starting saturday afternoon. In lasting through sunday night they had a party of maximum ten to fifteen people in their apartment every weekend. It's not technically against the law. Though i think it might have been. And i wouldn't really want involve the police even if it were but they're putting themselves and everyone else in the building at risk not only do they have these parties but they have them out on our shared alley so if i ever wanted to do laundry or take out the trash during these times the facilities across the alley. I have to walk through a group of unmasked dick. I would really love to be able to do chores on the weekends. But they don't even wear masks and our shared laundry room. They're not having parties. Which makes my building feel unsafe. Even when they are hosting guests. Should i talk to them. This is about an ongoing situation for months. At first i must admit i was pretty passive. Aggressive door's been slammed is have been ruled but after the initial rage. I've said small things to them and passing. I said small things to them in passing polite stuff. Like hey are you guys lo- unmasks we've got some despair and they've always been like no over fine. I feel a sense of obligation to say something. Because i'm white and so were they. I feel it's important to use my privilege for good when i can. But i'm kind of afraid of them and if i confront them and they don't listen to me life will just become worse an important detail. My partner is a white man. And i feel like if either of us should talk to the neighbors. It should be him. In fact i think he should have said something already but then again i don't know what he or i would say and i don't think my neighbors are reasonable enough to listen to either of us. I'm just mad. please help. Lol cranking california. She her oh. Ms cranks stir. Oh i'm so sorry and angry. It's such a such an impossible situation you know and like i. I liked that the the asker mentioned the little details of like i'm white so i feel lake. You know if anybody may building like maybe they should be me. So i'm assuming there must be like a diverse set of people in in in their building in her building. Excuse me and i. I think it's funny that like my my boyfriend should have said something by now but like you're right also in that doesn't have the words either like this is such a we keep on using the word unprecedented in these times now and that is true. You don't have a guidebook to look to for this because we haven't had this problem before. Let's start this question out with oscar. It is so reasonable that this is difficult for you to solve. You've clearly thought this through and you have come up with the solution because there is no solution right. Absolutely it sucks. I mean an and i i like also that you mentioned like none of this is technically illegal and also. I'm glad that you Are not calling the police. I don't think that police will make the situation more smooths. I don't think the police will solve this situation and the police also cannot do anything because it's not illegal so so that's fucking rough gen when we were noodling about this earlier you mentioned that if there is any authority that they could call to it would be the landlord also landlords also fucking suck and like people lost their jobs that they're not paying their rent so your landlord like is not going to be happy that to have somebody who's in trouble you know right. I mean you don't wanna get this person. These people victim. I don't think it would come to that. They have to consider that. And i'm also sure that the oscar is thought of this or tried it. i also. I'm sure there's a reason you didn't mention the landlord yet. And it's because it would be a useless useless path to take. I am almost certain of that. Yeah i never met I've never personally had a landlord that was effective. Absolutely if you want to talk to your neighbors you can. There are ways to do it. I don't think any of them are gonna work though like we keep on saying things like you know. This has been months and if people haven't changed their behavior yet they probably won't. If you talk to your neighbors you might wanna go with asking questions. You know when people have a situation with their friends and this these neighbors are certainly not your friends but when people have a situation with their friends where there's a pattern that they would like to end that they have tacitly approved of by not saying anything we say always to start that conversation acknowledging that you're part of it and that's not really what's happening like you're not tacitly approving your neighbors behavior because you are not close to them. But i think that that's the only way to start a productive. Conversation is to give them a little ground. I so it's like something like He know this has been going on for a long time. I really wish i'd something said something to you sooner. It sucks that it sucks that. That's my advice is to sign ours. But i i. I don't mind that advice at all though trent because i think it makes approaching the conversation easier on the asker and that's what i want to do. It sounds so daunting because it is daunting but starting with how you feel. Pan that sound so cheesy. Haven't used the word ice statement in a this phrase. I statement in a while and i'm gonna use it now. Just be like i feeling confused. I'm wondering what's going on. I don't know. I think that's a good way to start. Yeah and jen league. Ask questions as as you were kind of like getting to. I don't think that sitting them down which please don't I don't think knocking on their door and being like hey parties gotta stop. It's not going to do anything. I think that actually what you're going to want to do is ask questions. It feels like you're not fully aware of what's going on with the pandemic. Why are these parties so important to you that you continue to have them. Do you really feel safe. Really how what are you doing to feel safe like. Are you aware that the problem isn't as you getting cove it. It's actually use spreading to a bunch of people like a notice. How i you know. Obviously i have a lot of judgement in my heart. But like i tried to be. I tried to keep my voice like hey did you know like i feel like you. Don't have all the information the your behavior suggests that you might be under a misapprehension about what's happening right now. You know and and i don't think that you quoting statistics at them is going to help either. But if for whatever god forsaken reason you feel like you want to have a conversation with them and that it could work. I would say start with giving the little ground and then ask questions..

"I'm jen and i'm trend. This friendship ing and the theme. This week is pandemic boundaries mentioned tweeted but sometimes there is drama and you wanna call it quits. Don't write these up to punch the middle tits. Thanks jen. I am excited to answer these questions once again. We've got questions from two very reasonable people who have very reasonable needs during this time of global crisis and we're gonna be talking about dealing with people who are behaving badly and also being friendly in a time of Of rough times is that about right. What do you think john. Yeah yeah you nail that. That was a good teaser. Trailer so people have to listen to those questions later. Now you have to suffer through our banter. I can get to that gen. How's your week going. You know it's going pretty bad but pretty good as at the way pretty bad in pretty good. I did have a realization that i wanted to talk to you about lou. Yeah yeah. I saved it for the show. I actually have no idea. This'll be an interesting story to share in a podcast. But it's our podcast our rules and already sounds really spicy and police continue. Okay so my second semester was it first semester. I dunno is my senior year of college. I had a nightmare known as a group project and involved video project. Involved i to rent a camera from the library. Isn't that saw quaint. To record it on my on mojo right yeah. I know that's probably the last time. I rented a camera from anywhere. Like t mobile razor or whatever. Yeah my blackberry. So we're the camera and like oh you interviewed a professor that was my portion and something like got corrupt in the file and it was a it was a real logistical nightmare. Like i went to the library. They can help me. Get the the file off st card. And it wasn't working. And i will. I spent many evenings in the library. Trying to get the video off this card blah blah blah blah blah. i meant. I meant all the people that were. That were stopped at the library and they really came to know me. Fondly very determined how they were very boring and very determined. Help me like at one point. The university technology officer was like. I'm going to figure this out for you. Jen never did. We never did. It was so corrupt I think what ended up happening was the camera that they rented me or the car. They rented me accidentally was set up to like film. Christopher nolan style movies was so big that no computer download or something. I can't remember what happened. And i didn't understand at the time i don't understand it now. The thrust of the story is that while. I was dealing with this part of the group project. Another member of the group project. This guy turned into a monster. What's you is so mean. He was so stressed about this project and he took it all out on me. He considered me personally responsible for his grade. You makes you wonder like what was going on. In this guy's life that made him like experience stress in turn this group project into an absolute nightmare. Such a jerk and like i didn't tell ra professor anything about it because it didn't it wasn't i wouldn't characterize it as that yet. But a mandate he makes three weeks of finals. Absolute hell and i never talked to him again. One bothered me for years but trend. Okay this is. This is the point of the story. I woke up the other morning thinking about college finals week because it was cold out and reminded me of finals and i realized something really awesome. Which is i. Don't even remember that guy's name so beautiful jen. no. I was like lying in bed. Chad is is a marcus chelsea. And i i was like you know what. Don't try to remember his name. I could figure it out if i went on facebook probably if i searched through friends of friends but i'm not going to do is so great. So here's here's the point of the story. Getting old is not always the bat thing. of course. oh. My god. Like i mean i if if i if only i could harness the power of my elderly nece to cull the memories that i don't want anymore. No man speaking getting older so i don't know why this came up in my memory but a few years ago so not like during pandemic times but in time where it was safe to be around young children i was hanging out with one of my nephews. And he mentioned he was like. You're getting a little low lines around your eyes. He says to me. And i go. And i and i know that that can ruin a person you know what i'm saying. I know that they can put. It didn't my mediate answer. Was i got those from not dying yet and less. That's it you know it's either. That's the thing like every time i get grumpy about like my back hurts or whatever it's like well it's it's either this or not getting older. I know that's exactly how i feel. Lately man yeah. I've had an attitude adjustment kind of being like not. It's not all the things that i haven't done or i need to do. It's like wow. I've made it to this many years triumph. Like i've been around the sun a couple times now couple times you've been through some weird shit too like it's not just like you know like i delight right now you know and maybe up. My feelings changes become older. I delight right now in these little signs of aging like like again. I mentioned this all the time. Only my eyebrows are going gray which is just what the why do they feel. Great also did their exponentially becoming greyer like really just my eyebrows. I have. I would say i have at least eight white hairs in each of my eyebrows. And i'm just like the supervillain.

This is gonna make sure who's going to keep track that you get the second one when you're supposed to get and that sort of thing and this the first i'd heard of this and this is i think a good idea yeah. Cvs and walgreens have been tapped by the trump administration to help with the vaccinations. They're going to vaccinate more than three million residents of nursing homes and other long term facilities. And actually i've seen ads. I'm trying to think it was on instagram or facebook. But one of the social media sites where. Cbs was looking for healthcare workers to hire override to do this. It's a good time to be a nurse or other health care worker If you're looking for a job. Cvs and walgreens together have twenty thousand pharmacy locations. Half of those are within five miles of my home. I think was gonna say. I think within within two miles i have three. Cbs's oh yeah easily so it just it makes sense. That's the thing is we don't know what the long term effects of this virus all right like some people get it and they're fine then later on they have symptoms not symptoms but they have cited hughes. Yeah still problems. You know complications. I guess you should say right. Twenty two thousand americans have been have been Been polled and found that sixty percent. Say they are now living paycheck to paycheck as the year draws to a close especially if they've been furloughed are laid off because of covid nineteen. I don't know exactly what paycheck to paycheck. They don't have any meaning. They don't have any savings that they need their money to pay their bills. I just think that the term is probably Probably subjective to some to some extent. It's like i've always considered you know. We live paycheck to paycheck. If you know well some people have money. That's tied up that they can't touch. Yeah but a lot of us are just you know. We're we have to count on being getting paychecks for the next. Let me put it this. Well that's living paycheck to paycheck right but but but is it paycheck to paycheck. If you've got like you know you could. You could survive three months or six months without a now paycheck to paycheck. Means you can't survive without your paycheck. Well way i would define it too. But i don't know if you just ask people and you just use that term paycheck to paycheck specific. This is not that it really matters to you. Know the point is that a lot of people are really sweating. It worried about getting back to work. And let's take the opening business. The biggest hit the normal night out is taken. The takeout delivery superstars are expected to keep nabbing market share as their pandemic models continue to impress this week. In our single stock focus. We're covering cannabis stock Liberty Health James Baker covered it at the start of last week. The stock closed the week at thirty five cents. Baker starts here to have my recent. Article showered Liberty Health Sciences with praise and suggested it offered exclusive potential for investors in the near term I. no longer believe such outperformance is likely. This article explains why. I changed my conviction regarding L. H. Saf. He then goes on. For at least a month. Liberty shareholders on social media had been speculating about when the company would release. It's twenty twenty fiscal year results while monitoring those discussions, I was very surprised to learn that a company officer told a shareholder that liberty plants releases audited fiscal twenty twenty results on Sunday. June twenty eighth, a Sunday released date mystified me because I had never heard of any company releasing financials on a Sunday. After all conference calls normally accompany earnings, releases and participants understandably do not like to have their weekends disturbed. Unlike other companies liberty did not formally announce the date they intended to release their fiscal twenty twenty results, nor did it announce if and when it would have a conference call the sudden unannounced appearance of Liberties Fiscal Two thousand twenty results in a company press release prior to the market opening on Friday June, twenty six caught people by surprise, as did the fact that there was no conference call scheduled, the headline of the release stated liberties revenue grew by over four hundred percent in fiscal, two thousand twenty, the release noted that liberty recorded net income of twenty two point twenty, seven, million in Canadian dollars in two thousand, twenty compared with. With the loss of twenty two point twenty nine Canadian dollars million in two, thousand nineteen, it also mentioned that twenty twenty included a fourteen point twenty, seven million in Canadian dollars gain on the sale of a property Baker. Then goes on the truth. Is that liberties? Fourth quarter failed to live up to my lofty expectations in contrast to the beautiful picture painted of the company's press release a careful analysis, financial statements revealed that Liberties Q. Four twenty twenty was bad analysis in Canadian. Dollars Q.. Four twenty twenty statements revealed that for the fourth quarter. Liberty Health. Sciences had a net income before tax loss of over nine, hundred and five thousand. Net income after-tax loss of over four point three million. Loss of point to share bigger then goes on to discuss liberties. Realized price of grams in Canadian dollars. It turns out that liberties average realized price of a gram of cannabis fell from eleven twenty six in Q., three to ten eighteen in Q., four, a decline of nine point, six percent and the average transaction size dropped by a whopping twenty three point nine percent from one hundred seventeen dollars to eighty nine dollars. Liberty reported an increase of twenty, seven, thousand, two hundred seventeen customers in q four, but that could not offset the price declines. Baker concludes I never would have recommended. Liberty Health Sciences as highly as I did in earlier articles if I had an inkling that their financial results would fall so far short of my expectations in the fourth quarter of its fiscal twenty twenty liberties fiscal, twenty twenty report has shaken my belief in this company's ability to provide consistent growth well above its peers in Florida in my opinion, Liberty does not have the marketing prowess and management information systems to dramatically increase sales relative to its competitors. It's rates of growth in net income and cash flow from operations are therefore likely to suffer versus its competitors. That concludes this week stocks to watch.
