The Raiders are about to get a whole lot better
"With you last year, I knew the raiders looked bleak. But they've added Trent Brown. Lamarcus Joyner Antonio Brown. Tyrel Williams vont has Burfoot and you're gonna add three first round draft picks, George if you didn't know the raiders last year, you definitely know who they are this year because they're going to draft three guys that could make this team and I'm not saying near a Super Bowl contender. But they are definitely a playoff contender. They got better. I think after this draft and if they get a quarterback. Oh,

Dick's and have money leftover. I just learn the tire Williams got paid eleven million dollars a year for four years from the raiders, right essentially, it's just a two year guarantee field of the. It's two years twenty one dollars to the first of this guaranteed. It's still twice dollars. Good actually liked tyrel Williams a lot. But that's a lot of money for tyrel Williams, for sure like my point is when you bring up like a funder getting overpaid other guys, I think, you know, the colts had like one hundred billion dollars cap Roman raiders, obviously they have a ton of capital because they just for some sales have got input. Like for teams like that. The raiders were the can't really attract free agents say pundits pay Lamar and there in California. I mean, just go back to your point rope up their frat agree with you. The needs of the problem roster, especially I think at safety don't. I don't. I don't really I hope that don't really pay a safety thirty paid one. And while I agree that they have to find other imposing that they can really attack that the draft. Because now that position for years, they've just like the trip also last safety, they probably will go, then I guess safety too. But. Like, I hope they don't spend money on like if they want to spend money. Yeah. For whatever free agents are meeting. They're still like some talent out there for passer sugar guy like you know, can help you affect the passer. Yeah. I mean, I I agree with you. That's that's the reason that the two names I said, we're try- Boston at Haukeland days because I think they would be cheap. If they draft a guy that that would be much more ideal. And I think a guy that they should target in free agency as somebody like Shane Ray because he's he can play outside linebacker Andy fits in. And it doesn't matter what kind of formation we're playing it any given moment he can fit and he can rush the passer. And that's a guy we need, you know, he would be cheap. Heaven, it's just Houston. "Gregg Rosenthal was on the radio station earlier this week. I think it was either today or was yesterday. I can't remember. But he was on mad radio and had some comments about the Indianapolis Colts that just kind of scared me a little bit. Like, I I'm very very concerned about what the colts can do in the off season. And I'm not gonna lie. And I know that the Texans have the MU the I was going to say that the moola outta shouldn't use feel like this a real word. A real weird word to say they have the money. They have the draft capital to make something happen. But I'm really concerned about what the colts can do especially with all the all of the cap space that they have the draft picks that they have but here. Greg Rosenthal's comments from mad radio you have over one hundred million dollars in cap space at some point cap space is overrated when too many teams have it. It's almost irresponsible to have that much cap space year after year. They're a team. I think could get in on Landon Collins they could get in on the chargers receiver. Tyrel Williams, and maybe even show some interest in Ford, I think they could fit that salary onto their books. I think they're going to be very active in the next week. Yeah seat. Maybe I'm just reading into too much into what grade row the Rosenthal Rosenthal. Man. I'm having a hard time saying his name tonight. But maybe I'm reading too much into what Greg Rosenthal is saying maybe I'm just concerning myself too much with what another team can do and not enough with what the Texans can do. But I I am incredibly concerned that the Texans aren't going to be able to keep up with what the colts can do this off season. And they're really really going to struggle to compete with Indianapolis for the AFC south next year. Like the schedule is already tough enough. If you were just doing it based off of schedules with the teams as they were this past season. Then I would I would already automatically say the Texans are going to have a hard time keeping up in the AFC south with the colts. But add in the fact that they have over one hundred million dollars in cap space, which I we've talked about this the other night throwing money, Derek. You'll agree with me on this. Joe Adam told me throwing money at your problems isn't the way to go. So where I think throwing as much money as possible at all of your problems is exactly the waiting for the best. But when you have one hundred million dollars, you have enough money to throw all over the place, all of your problems and the kitchen sink. Exactly. Yes. So so one hundred million dollars plus draft capital. The colts can make some legitimate moves man that the idea of Landon Collins and d Ford both being Indianapolis Colts next year is absolutely terrifying to me, and then he brought up a name tyrel Williams who is going to get he's going to get a lot more money in in in the offseason than I thought he was going to get during free agency than I thought he was going to get because at one point. I I wanted him to be a target for the Texans. But the fact that he's going to get as much money as he's to get that the colts can pay that. And then you give Andrew luck a legitimate number two weapon after T Y Hilton that offense the running game was already good. Their offensive line is good. They could add weapons they could add on belt to their to the running back position. If they wanted to they have enough money. That they could go out Adler beyond bell ad tyrel Williams, adea Ford and Adlan Colvin's, and they still have draft picks to go out, and bolster other positions and make other positions better. That is absolutely terrifying. Especially when you're talking about adding guys like on bell tyrel Williams to their offense and the Texans Texas biggest need is is at cornerback. And where did they struggled to cover the most against the colts last year? They struggled to cover number two receivers number three receivers and the running back position. They struggled to cover guys out of the backfield specifically until Dylan Cole came back. So I'm very concerned about the colts. At this point. You're concerned about the colts. And I'm still concerned about the Texans. Their the way they go about their business. I it's just very Texans to be quiet and JoJo calm about the free agency and trades and just everything off season. But. I and it's not in their character. But I would love to see some even fo- enthusiasm when. Yeah, we're gonna go shopping. There's a lot out there. We could do some things because I feel like the colts don't even have to say it, you know, it when you have. I mean, the Texans have room to they've they've some space, and there's just this idea of a will we're going to build through the draft because we believe the best ways to build through the draft. It's also the slowest way. Okay. You can still have improvements through free agency. I don't like this idea. That's been floated around that the only way you can improve his through the draft. Yes. You can. But you're going to have rookie mistakes throughout the way, you're thinking you're going to win immediately Reich is that you just drafted free agency. Is that time where you can pick. And choose exactly what you want with no time limit with no other restraints that other teams might take somebody off you're bored. You can go directly compete against other teams dot because of an order, but because of money and just. Straight up showing a free agent or whoever what your team has to offer. And then you're going to be all Cadillac about it. That's not the best way to build a team. What are you talking about? And what real what it really feels like is is the Texans. My biggest concern is is the juxtaposition between what can the colts do and not do? What can the Texans do? And not do what moves are the colts gonna make and not make what moves are the Texans gonna make or not make like what's the worst case scenario for the Texans this offseason when it comes to the colts. Because what it really comes down to is whichever. One of these two teams lots of cap space, lots of draft capital, whichever. One of these two teams does a really good job of balancing picking up guys in free agency and being efficient with your cap space and drafting the right guys for the positions of need. But also best available. It really really comes down to which one of those two teams maximizes those opportunities. The most between the colts in the Texans. And it could be the both teams maximize it perfectly, and then it's just a push. And then you just have the teams Duke it out all season. But the where where I think. Drafting young guys is okay. And it's not as much of a detriment is on the defensive side of the ball. I mean, we saw two guys that were fighting for defensive player of the year that we're rookies on defense this year, the colts have had one of those guys. And so you can have a rookie guy come in on the defensive side of the ball and contribute right away. Especially on defense like the Texans where you've you probably going to have some veterans that can help move them along or help cover them a little bit. It might be a little bit more difficult at the cornerback position to bring in a rookie cornerback and have him have to be a prominent member of the defense right away. But if you draft the right guy that shouldn't be that big of an issue now offensive line. It's a little bit more difficult to draft the guy and just expect him to immediately be an impact player by when you're talking about a are an offensive line. That's that was as bad as the Texans offensive line. I really doubt you can get much worse. Like, I I honestly doubt that a rookie can come in and make as many mistakes and be as bad as some of these guys on the tech offense of line. But it's just about maximizing the opportunities, and I'm. Just I don't we haven't seen enough on Brian gain yet that really really really lets me believe that they're going to maximize and make the best of all these opportunities. And we've seen the colts do this before we've seen the colds Bill to contend legitimate contender before and they've got Andrew luck at the home. And I know the Texans have Shawn Watson. I know they've got d hot. But I'm I just have my concerns. I don't know. I'm I'm really worried that the Texans aren't going to be able to keep up with those moves what's up? Joe? The only thing I would counter with that is the concerns that we haven't seen Brian gain. Do I have like a full draft class? We've always seen one work of his chapter only one chapter of his work right with guys he's bringing in the other side of that. For the colts is Quinton Nelson was by far the best player in the NFL last year. And if he wasn't a guard he would have been the first pick in the draft. I think that's pretty widely believe amongst people that know the game of football. What if we also are overrating this guy because this is the same GM that higher Josh mcdaniels, and then got turned down and had to go to a six best option Frank Reich, which ended up being the way better higher. Yes. But initially he hired Josh mcdaniels. So I also wonder if there is a possibility were all overrating Chris Ballard, and what he really brings to the table in Indianapolis. Oh, I mean, that's that's definitely a possibility. And it is just as much of a of a possibility as as the concerns for Brian gain being null and void like we could have concerns about Brian game moving forward is the GM. But maybe he proves to us that we shouldn't be concerned with him at all the same thing with Ballard. Maybe maybe it's because he did have a couple of good draft picks. And he he made a couple of good moves were overrating him. But that's right now, that's the only evidence that we have all the evidence that we have on these guys is that we think Brian gain is seems like he's pretty good so far. But but Ballard looks like he's a guy that hits home runs and knocks it out of the park every time. And until we see anything different. That's all we can go by. It's also in Brian gains nature and just we'll just say Bill O'Brien gain. Because it's in both of their nature were never going to learn anything. They never want to say anything to the media. They're not going to try and create even fo- excitement that's not in their nature. So while we're sitting here, and we're not happy basically based on what we've seen so far from him. And what we've seen also from Chris Ballard like we have nothing to base our opinions on and I know that sounds horrible because it's crediting us. But we have nothing to make us feel any better or worse. But that's the we isn't just we three here. No. Are we at the station or we even here in the city of Houston that we is just everybody in general because there's just not enough evidence to the contrary to help support it yet. That's that's the biggest concern. And so I want to see good moves being made. I want to see efficiency in the free agency. And I guess. Maybe one of the things that's worrying me as we're just not hearing anything yet. We're not hearing anything one way or another. We're just hearing of. So they went to this guy's pro day who'll awesome. But I wanna see I wanna hear more moves are being made. I wanna hear that more is being moved from on the tax side, Texan, Jim Texan says his dream offseason is Trey cloudy for two first.

Rivers look to the right swings at the economic caught at the forty eight spin move ler takes it to a forty one and a whole lot of work for one yard. Brendan Carr makes the play defensively for Baltimore. Well, last time these two teams met Philip rivers has the worst game of the season against his ravens defense. They're all over 'em that pressure all day sacked four times. But it felt like he got hit about every other play the only at four point nine yards per attempt, which is close the zero touchdowns and only fifty one point seven passer rating, which was the worst all year. Heckler? Single setback will call second and eight motion managed Benjamin to the far side. Handoff equa running to the left has thrown down by Jimmy Smith. Helping in run supported all setup. Third down now for Los Angeles. Let's go. Downstairs in with Ben labor where I think you're gonna see a lot more of Austin. He's got a passed on them. Now carried that ball here for the charges. Melvin Gordon is questionable right now with that left. Knee injury or remains to be seen. He's come back in this game. But just for a lot of Austin right now. All right. Thanks so much. Ben. We know that they had to get it done without Gordon down the stretch of the season. I went with Justin Jackson because heckler had his own issues. Bruised nerve in his neck. "I mean released. So I mean, I could just have like red is anger hope that nobody wants. Yeah. Right. Like time would be crazy. Yeah. All right. So here's here's another question. Tie tie in the playoffs. Don, McNabb would lose his mind. All right. So here's a question about the chargers. And what time they have to play. So I think they got screwed by the NFL having to play the one o'clock game flying all the way east. Does that stuff matter? Does it like do we overstate the whole going west to east and body clock and all this stuff? Or is it like come on you fans are idiots. It's playoffs. Everyone's going to get up for it. What they will be out for it. But I think the biggest thing is just you have to go three times owns whatever. Yeah. Three times. I think even if it was at night, I think there'd be a little bit of a difference. Just because just because of all the whole the the whole, oh, I feel like it's four hockey seven o'clock different. And I don't I don't think like the deciding factor. No, I don't I hope not. Because then I mean, those professionals aren't really very good, you know, professionals. But I think I think they're it'd be dumb to say. There's no affect going back to the playoffs. Be conversation. Am I dumped to think that players play faster at night, or does it just look cooler because it's TV it looks cooler because you know, the, I you know, what I remember the first game that really had implications. It was week seventeen that's playing for the jets that we're the Pagel's and it was a plane game. So that kind of felt like the playoffs. But I remember it be nuts being Sunday night felt like they're just cameras everywhere. 'cause I mean, everyone knew we had to win to get in and kinda snuck into the playoffs because the colts lettuce beat up on defeated year, yada, yada, yada. But I think I think the answer is it's just the the flash. Yeah. Running fast. Yeah. White cleats. You agree. White cleats. Make you look faster. I don't see. I don't think there's even a conversation. Okay. All right next to manage putting black on a white guy. Yeah. Troubling. You know, what that is? That's like just saying, hey, any run your forty are dash quicksand, it'd be anvils. Yeah. Right. So have you talked to fill rivers at all this year. I mean, he's had obviously an incredible year. He's been kind of not a resurgence. But there's been a lot of national buzz about the chargers and fill rivers, and how great he has been overall in his career have have you talked him at all. And he's just like, hey, man. This is crazy. I'm playing out in my mind or anything like that? Talk to them, but not necessarily about like, man, you're baller. You should have a chance at the MVP type deal. But I think it was more so just to to catch up. But yeah, he's pointing with dick euless. I think the thing is though you like look at the weapons they have. It's kinda crazy like you have Canaan tyrel Williams, and in you have Mike Williams in and then you you have some some good tied in Cates. Still knows how to get open and who see people that are talking about a lot is besides Smith is hundred injury. Yeah. He has he hasn't been playing. I guess I guess he was playing little. I mean, as far as, you know, the reports from even a, but, but I mean, no one knows for sure you know, that cause a couple of games must not have been televised or something but with with with him..

"I think they need to make teams fear them schematically James is the guy to do that with. Would you would you envision a Gus Bradley defense doing that? I that seems to be pretty far away from his over the years. Yeah. It is. But he again, I think he's drifting away from his MO and a healthy way. I think they have they've shown this stuff. That's why that's how we know chains is so good at it. Because they did it early in the season James is an absolute monster. They didn't look maybe it was a function last week. They played Seattle just run based offense most run based offense in the NFL. In fact, maybe that's part of it. Although I would think you'd be even more willing to blit your big strong safety in the run game. So I I wanna see what they do. I would I would be more versatile with Derwin James and be more be trying to become more of a play making defense if I were them. Yeah. I was gonna say on the side of the ball. I mean, gosh, the run game is just dominant this year with with Gordon and then often sprinkled in here, but you look passing game. We kind of wonder what was going to happen yono hunter Henry they did bring back into gates, obviously. But he's I mean, he's he's not. He's not what he was three or four years ago. But between Keenan Allen. And then those those two guys the Williams, Mike Williams and tyrel Williams. I mean whenever we spoke on Allen. And you get one of those Williams's downfield is like a six four mismatch target. I mean, that's a they are turning a ton of big plays this year. Absolutely. I think Mike is better insight entire ELS better outside gates now plays on third down passing situations last week. There were still times where he drew the double team. Now, it's usually on third and short because he's such a good underneath receiver this point. But defense is still respect him within the context. He's very good within the context of LA scheme. So that's part of it. But they have guys at win fifty fifty balls. Like, you just said the Williams guys. And then Eker women talked about Travis Benjamin eckles gotten so good that he's wedged Benjamin out..

"So would you try to Bi-Lo and Keenan Allen right now, or do you think that this is just not as different player, but he's being used in a different way and the offense is overall increasing, but his share the pies, he's probably a better real life player in terms of what he forces other defenses to do than what he's doing. Yeah. Yeah. Because I think they probably using them a little bit like a decoy. I mean, he's there number one guy, you know, no doubt as a receiver. And you know, he's gonna draw. Number one corner typically against, you know, all their opponents. And so that that's a factor in previous years. You know, rivers is really, really force fed him like he's an amazing player. But at the same time, rivers was forced feeding him because he just really trusted him. And it seems like this year I, you know, rivers may be more comfortable with the res- with the rest of their pass catching core because we see, you know, like Mike Williams has been a bigger factor at times. Tyrel Williams last week was. You know, had three catches, I think, hundred twelve yards in two touchdowns and he's he's kind of reaping the benefits of drawing the other guys in the secondary. So yeah, I don't know. I don't know if it's gonna change at all. I, I don't know if I would necessarily trade forking now and then and right now it's gonna be kinda hard to get good value for because his values depressed right now. And on that note as someone who paid probably a little too much fabric, like free agent auction money for Mike Williams and the now she's times go off and now people probably gonna give titled Williams. I don't actually like either of them anymore to play because I just think it's there's a certain randomness to how you can execute these guys. And unlike maybe the falcons where there's a somewhat predictable flow of him in a way that the chargers other receivers because of the way they're off its works at how much they rely on Gordon, you'll really know Tirolians. Mike Williams will be the wide receiver three that day or who's really going to be winning their match ups and stuff. And it's really hard to predict not to mention how hard it is that she catch those downfield throws, you know, not every time you get three d. throws you're gonna casual. Three. All right. So. I wouldn't chase those numbers anymore. Obviously, Mike Williams's physically gifted, but that doesn't really mean anything in fantasy. I'm with you because I think I mean, if you look at, I don't have Williams numbers right in front of you. But I mean, it's like he's really boomer bust. Well, both both Williams for that matter. I was talking about Mike Williams, but they're kind of touched down to pendant at this point to be fantasy factors and just kinda hate to heat to chase that, especially when you know the chargers are kinda scheming up ways. Get gates involved in Virgil, green. And then obviously we haven't even talked about awesome Eker who is one of their best, offensive players. Frankly, I mean, he's like incredibly explosive. He's been a factor in the passing game. He's, you know, I think he plays around thirty five percent of the snaps. You know, they're using him on the same on the field the same time as Gordon. Sometimes they're using him in, you know, to spell Gordon others. He's just kind of this explosive guy that they use in different various ways to get, you know, just explosive plays in. So, yeah. There's just kind of a lot of mouths to feed in that offense for fancy apart from the, you know, the the main pillars of their offense, obviously with with the rivers and in Gordon and and Keenan Allen is just kinda hard to predict anyone else in that in that offense at this point. Okay. So Phil, rivers is legit. Melvin Gordon is legit. Keep him. Keenan Allen is Kena nouns not worth whatever it was. You know, what was the early second rounder usually or something like that. "Albert Wilson, six for one fifty five on into a nine targets. Look, Albert Wilson has the two longest yard after the catch plays of the entire season seventy one and seventy eight yards. He made Brock look, good little short slant route. Turns a corner hits the nitro button. And if you want to play him, you're flipping a coin? Yes, you are. I, I am curious. So we talked about things changing. He's this was the most involved he'd ever been in a game for the Miami Dolphins. Nine targets is season-high before this. The last couple of games you got six targets will Mr. bought whole Adam gate. Goodness. Finally realize the weapons that he needs to use to have success will. Albert Wilson be more integral part of the game plan. I don't know. I don't know either. I was throwing it out because Brock Osweiler point it out in the universe. Oprah's secret. It was the quarterback, right? I mean, that was that was part of the equation here is, you know, did they give him some higher percentage passes to Alber Wilson? The screen plant the screen pass is is something they use Wilson for the normally give him a hand off or to a game. I don't know. I don't know if they will or not. I can't Bank on it, but if you if you hit you hit? Yep. Colby's -ly tyrel Williams. You realize tyrod. William scored in back toback place. Yeah, on the same, the same exact route. But again, tyrel Williams, Kobe's Liomba Wilson. You can start these guys next week and if you do, you might get two points. One point. I mean, if you had to pick one of those guys to pick up, let's say you had to are. Are you interested in all of them? None of them. I'm not really interested in. Yeah, I'm I'm not. I'm not really interested. So we'll talk more about that tomorrow guys that you might. There might be player that you would rather drop. Now, then one of those guys, but Adam feeling six straight games with one hundred plus yards receiving believable, fifteen targets. Again, that's what I just wanna call Adam theline. I mean he he's winning weeks. He's winning fantasy titles for people..

Yes. When when the levee breaks got go to the Tennessee titans off that's a line. I mean, holy crap. Batman yesterday that was horrible by the Tennessee titans. Just overall offensive game plan. It didn't look like people were open downfield when you saw replays on things on TV. But let alone that just the confusion upfront on some of the blitz packages that the Baltimore Ravens at them. And just the absolute running over of the Tennessee offense. A which you know, I think a lot of us looked at and said that was a strength to that football team. And yeah, the tackles are good. But the interior part of that Tennessee, our offensive line is not very good. And it's been it's getting exposed as the year goes along. And I don't think the Lewan and conklin or having their best years either to to compound that all eleven Saz amazing one short of the record held by many teams. But they almost got there. Look the loser of that game is in is in a bit of jam now and the titans losing that game. They're fortunate the Jaguars lost again. Here are the Texans in the thick of things and the titans are going to have their work cut out for him. They've got the chargers this weekend in London. The charges actually staying in Cleveland for the next three or four days before they fly over to England for that game. I want to go back to that one too. And I'll talk about something from the conversation that I had with Philip rivers that I actually did get to and this'll be the the Madden keep running it until they stop it award. You know when you play Madden like you have a play that works. You just keep playing right using a UCLA until they stopped this idiot defense. Right. So what happened was the tyro Williams? Forty five yard touchdown throw that Dilip rivers had in the first half eight came one play after a forty four yard long throw to tyrel Williams. Yeah. Philip rivers told me it was the exact same slightly different formation. It was the exact same play. And Tyrone Williams was the primary receiver on both play. So it's like, you know, the X button like as soon as you drop back. He's the guy what's his views. It's the Madden run it until they stop, okay. Because it came with a better one Jewish said back-back play. Yeah. That's a lot better. Broke don't fix it a war. That's really, that's that's next level stuff. So anyway, Philip rivers said that when Ken wasn't that the offense coordinator called the play in? Yeah. Dylan. Again, why that's why that's why and Williams made a great play. I mean, he had a wrestle the ball away from the Browns defender, but you know, sometimes football really is simple with all the analytics and all the next level stuff. And he said that it was almost the same coverage. The Browns use the genius of it is they're never going to expect you to do it again for time to run Tyrone Williams deep again, he probably was outta gas after those two plays. But yeah, you're not going to expect another deep throat or the guy that just caught a deep three. It was. It was great. I mean, it was a game changing moment. I mean if at that point. Take away those eighty nine seven and three at that point was at that point you take away those eighty nine yards on those two plays and Philip rivers had barely over one hundred yards passing yesterday. It was a run heavy game. And the game was it was seven three of that point halfway through the second quarter. Two plays eighty nine yard drive on the same post route over the top. And I give rivers rivers credit for having the guts to throw that second one. Because. Good. Yeah. I'm looking at the clock surprise me. We gotta go. We're going along. We gotta go. "Jeff aches and a couple of really big time catches going down in the NFL. I in Cleveland chargers. Brown's Philip rivers. Threw a bomb into the end zone for tyrel Williams in triple coverage. And in the midst of the coverage and hands and everybody going after the ball tyrel Williams somehow found a way in the midst of being fought for for the ball. He found a way to secure it and get the touchdown. And so right now the chargers are on top of the Browns fourteen to three and they're on the move again in Brown's territory with one forty seven left to go in the first half. Meanwhile, they are reviewing a potential Steelers touchdown in Cincinnati. And I'm waiting to find out what the call is. You'll see this one tonight. Juju Smith Schuster going to the corner of the end zone in the front being fought with and covered by Dr quiz Denard of the Bengals. And Ben Rothlisberger. Threw it up. And as it went up it appeared that Denard was going to get the interception, but literally, well, no, it's not it's not. Well, I was going to say they they were down before the before the end zone, but Denard had it in his hands. And then while they were rolling and in the midst of a somersault juju Smith, Schuster got the ball away. So they were saying by the time he got it away. He was in the end zone and it was a touchdown. So we're we're waiting actually what the call the field that it's going to be short of the goal. And the question is are they going to give it to juju Smith Schuster, or are they going to say that Denard had it and it was an interception. So we're waiting for that to happen right now. But either way a spectacular play, and you know for all the. All the criticism. I if you will that receivers get at times for being divas, I'll tell you what when they when they make a spectacular acrobatic catch or find a way to do something. Like that were they able to secure just grabbed the ball out the way that they did just just spectacular. The the gifts and talents in the abilities that these guys have so so with that said they ruled it was short of the goal line. And it looks like yes, James CONNER has just ran into the endzone from one yard out his second touchdown run of the day. So the Steelers are now on top of the Bengals thirteen to seven with the point after try coming up. We also have an update from Atlanta bucket nears falcons, the falcons jumped out to a twenty one to six lead. But Jameis Winston as just connected with OJ Howard for ten yards out. And. That makes it a twenty one to thirteen Felton's lead with twenty six seconds left to go. So Tampa Bay trying to get back and that one in Miami. Bears dolphins. The big story of the day. Of course, Ryan tannehill not playing in this one with a shoulder injury. So it is Brock Osweiler getting the star for the dolphins. Brock Osweiler with an early touchdown pass on the opening drive but Brock Osweiler moments ago picked off just just in front of the goal line of the dolphins were on the move trying to add some more points before halftime, but Brock Osweiler was picked off. And the dolphins are going to try to hold on now to that seven nothing lead over the bears. Rough first half of you will for Mitchell Trubisky. Remember he had that six touchdown performance. And then. The bears went on their bye week. And so coming off the bye on the road in Miami. Mitchell Trubisky today nine of fourteen for eighty nine yards has it thrown a pick. He's been sacked a couple of times. But I think everybody thought with Ryan tannehill out that the bears defense was just going to tee off on Brock Osweiler. And it would be an easy day for the bears offense. But certainly is not played out that way, thus far we mentioned that. Tyrel Williams had a spectacular catch for the chargers. Well, the other Williams. Was that was it? Mike Williams, who was a Tyrolean might have been terrible Williams again chargers. Brown's either way the chargers have just scored again just scored again, and it was tyrel Williams again his second touchdown catch of the day as the chargers have Philip rivers are carving up Greg Williams and this Browns defense and the charges are up right now. Twenty one to three in Cleveland with fifty one seconds left to go Baker Mayfield. He's looked. Okay. They just they can't they can't score. They haven't been able to score. Baker Mayfield has look good. I mean, he he just has a knack of getting rid of the ball when he needs to alluding contact running away when he needs to moving when he needs to. He doesn't stand doesn't take bats sacks doesn't stand in the pocket. He he's always on the move and seems to know how to get rid of the football and find open guys. I mean, he's he's really quick and really energetic really looks good. And you. Can tell he's going to be pretty good. But they just have not been able to. They've had some good plays. But they've been sputtering in the red zone. And meantime, Philip rivers and the chargers this is the second big play score that they've had tyrel Williams his second of the game. And clearly that's the game plan of the chargers. They just wanna strike quick and put all the pressure on Baker Mayfield and that Brown's offense. And so far, it's working out. What about the game at MetLife? Colts jets. Pretty good start to this one. I mean, they were going back and forth early and moments ago in the second quarter Sam darnold a seven yard touchdown pass to Terrell Pryor member Terrell Pryor is with the jets now did nothing when he was with the Redskins getting that big contract. But starting to pick it up now with Sam darnold. Jason myers. Also added a forty three yard field goals to the jets right now are on top of the colts twenty to thirteen with forty two. Seconds left to go in the first half of that one. Meanwhile, in London it's been just a rough day for the raiders they're down fourteen to nothing and with seconds left before halftime, the Seahawks are trying to either get one more touchdown or settle for a long field goal for former raider Sebastian Janikowski, but the hawks and Russel Wilson are on the move. And man, I think a lot of people thought it was going to be ugly possibly for Jon Gruden this year. But I don't know if anybody thought it was going to be this bad. I mean, they just they just look terrible on both sides of the ball. You know, had some good moments early but weren't able to finish. But it just seems like it's starting with the trade of Khalil Mack. It is just falling apart in Oakland for the raiders the offense no points on the board today against Seattle. And now the defense is struggling fourteen to nothing, and wait and see if Russell Wilson is going to get one more shot here at the end zone before they let Sebastian Janikowski try to kick it. All right coming up next. We'll. Check in from Green Bay the Packers and the forty Niners tomorrow night on Monday night. I'm Jeff pigs. This is sports Sunday.

"But let's see if you can get eyeballs on who comes up with this ball. I because there's tyrel Williams with a hand on it. Inside the league. It's in between training Edmonds legs. Actually, I don't know how they overturned that there's not a clear, you got a pile. And it was clear that. Tiro Williams hands were on the ball in between the legs of tyrod. William Sean McDermott making his case play Martin. Great job punching the football out was five four and he took a punch at it like peanut Tillman from the bears did forever. Arguably the greatest that we'd ever seen at it. And then there's a wrestling match. Now one of those deals where there's just must be joint possession. And then at the very end of it. We're watching Paul you're to out. That's probably for the chargers. Yeah. But Paul your didn't even come away football. He's just trying to rip it out of the hands of tyrod tries to figure out where Yarbrough gets into this thing because he's the one that eventually walks out with the ball. After they were on the ground for a long period of time. And I'll say good heads up play by tyrel Williams to not lay there. But immediately try to locate the ball knowing that that thing was punched out before he hit it. I'm guessing they said he had possession early on after the fumble before the crowd came in. I'll tell you what for all the incoming officials take if that's what they saw in real time data heck of a job because that's what we've seen from the replay on four different angles. There's nothing clear that from terms of a clear recovery overturn this call now, they call it the other way if they'd give bills possession. I tend to overturn that. No question about it. So if it holds tyrel we'll have his second catch of the afternoon for thirty yards. And I don't know if there's such a thing, I guess you could say you're in the zone as a quarterback like a pitcher can kind of be in zone or a hitter can be in this. But Philip rivers is in the zone picking up where he left off last week. I tell you that was an.

Gordon to his right ball snap on the left hash. Gordon gets it up the middle trying to pick a whole the former Wisconsin star gets to the thirty one of Kansas City gaining too. So far the interior tackling for the chiefs have been good between the tackles, most notably. Anthony Hitchens are showing up here early right there. They brought Virgil drain. The tight end the brought over from Denver just on a little tip tap motion than he led up on the right side for that. Nice. Little Dan, you mentioned Ron Parker came up and fill the gap too. Nice to have Ron Parker back in the red white and gold of Kansas City. Second and eight chargers at the thirty one of Kansas City seven nothing chiefs at ten eleven to go. First quarter back gore play fake rivers looking lap. He's gonna unload it long and the past is going to be overthrown and incomplete intended for tyrel Williams.
