Margaret Cho's Self-Care Ritual: Skincare and Walking
"Start almost every episode by asking our guests about a daily self care ritual. That is important in their lives So we wanted to start there and see if you have anything to share something that you do on a regular basis that and helps you get through the day or the week Well i have a few things. There's like a a do like a two hour walk with this little nugget child. That's actually been probably the most helpful because usually during the walk. I listen to podcasts. Or books and music catch up on kind of stuff so i'm just sort of like not doing anything but exercising her exercising myself and just breathing leaving. Go in the rain when it rains like retook two or three times a year here but i mean it's really important part the other part is i do Microcurrent skincare with a zip and a new face. Why don't use the jails that day. That are branded. I use aloe vera sometimes. Use a koito. Silver dressing like a burden dressing like burn south but So those are the things that i should have given makeup pretty much for the time being so i just do. Skincare and walking. I mean that sounds. That sounds like a perfect
Fresh update on "two hour" discussed on On Purpose with Jay Shetty
"Check off everything of your to do list you every possible item but you still feel empty and unfulfilled. How many of you have vowed that before you check off everything of your to do list and you still wondering. Why do i feel incomplete. Why don't i feel good about myself. And it's because you haven't done that one thing the best way to do this is to set a time every day that you ask yourself this question. It could be in the morning. Could be the last night when you have an hour left at the end of the day we can really choose what you want to do. And i've noticed that when. I asked myself this question rallies. The answer i want to watch a show or i want to waste time. It'll be something like why. Don't i just read one line of my favorite book. Why don't i just watch this one video that inspires me. Why don't i pray. Why don't i meditate. It's always something profound and it may not be for. You may just be watching your favorite show. And that's totally fine. I find for me. It's just the way something makes me reflect step back and feel even more grateful that i'm alive now. Step five is creating goals and plans. This method has saved me so much time. And it's a method that goes from one big goal to four weekly targets to one daily task right one big goal four weekly targets and then one toss today i call it the one for one method every month in my life is planned in this way to make me feel like i'm not ahead or behind but i'm exactly where i need to be so often we have a goal but we don't create a plan to get this so we judge ourselves everyday that waste time and energy we feel we're behind that waste time and energy we actually now realize we are behind outweighs time and energy but you don't know what ahead or behind is because you never had a plan give you an example if i know i want to get from point a to point b and i know it's a two hour journey and i leave half an hour late i know that i'm going to get there roughly half an hour after the time i predicted because i had a plan if i knew which route i was going to take and i checked it on the but if i just went out there had a goal to get to point b. I didn't really think about how long it was going to take. I didn't look at the traffic. And then i'm just stuck now. That drains more time and drains more energy.
How to Learn a Second Language as an Adult
"All right emily kwong today. We are talking about the science of learning second language because you are learning mandarin chinese which like as far as a pandemic hobby goes more power to more bart. Right for real. Though it is a hard language to learn. Language itself actually is an incredible ability. If you think about it that we humans have it involves many parts of the brain and the study of language spans across many different disciplines. So bilingual's studied in at least three different fields linguistics psychology and cognitive neuroscience. Sarah phillips is a phd student in the linguistics department at new york university. And exactly the person. I wanted to call up to talk about language learning who. Yeah i remember sarah from our episode on six hundred like how the brain responds to sentences with confusing grammar or syntax. Yeah brains and language are hurt. Jam met in korea while her father was serving in the marine corps and they raised her bilingual here in the us. Learning korean was very important to be able to communicate with my mom's side. They family and the same way that growing up speaking african american english was very important in being able to communicate and be a part of my dad's family. She's got a really interesting backstory. And i told her about my project about taking mandarin class for two hours every monday flash cards on the other nights watching movies. I can't understand and listen to us. Someone who is engaging in learning a second language thereby uses another language on a pretty regular basis that means you're a developing bilingual so in essence you are via lingual by by you know we probably exactly if maybe maybe maybe as an alternative to be bilingual. Maybe we should think of. This is developing bilingual.

Jason Harris on the June 2021 Trailers
"Jason harris is back with us to look at some more trailers for the month of june. Jason how's it going a fun you do not know how that messes up the compressor when it's trying to figure out levels and all that and do my job for me but i i love you so it's okay jews to talk dark okay so as we've been doing the last few months before we get into this month trailers let's take a quick look back at the month of may and which the movies that we cover that we actually got a chance to see and i will say that This is i think the most that. I've actually gotten to see at any of these months. Recent memory so let's start off with mainstream. Did you ever get around to that. Never heard of it. Well i it's pretty. I don't know if i would call it good or bad but it's it's it's a very weird messy movie but Interesting to say the least. I go there. Oh wait for it. It didn't seem like wanting to go to this heaters for. Yeah that that is fair. Wrath of man guy ritchie. What did you think of that. I think you saw that right. Never heard of it. No i saw that one. It was completely blah and like you know. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't good and it was two hours and didn't have any style that you would expect from gingrich year and he's swagger that you would expect from jason nathanson. Yeah i was shocked that it was a guy ritchie movie like. I knew that obviously going in but like there's nothing that you know any of his hallmarks. None of them are there and it does feel like a direct to video version of a jason state. the movie. but that's about all i can really say for. It definitely wasn't too good. The paper tigers. I did not see. Did you see the never heard of it. No i didn't see
Why You Don't Need to Love What You Do
"When i started my entrepreneur journey about nineteen years ago. I really struggled with starting a business that i could stick with for a long period of time because i was convinced or i was told that i have to love it every moment and it has to be my passion. It has to be my calling. And it's so grandiose it so hard to do something that you love every single day and then i realized that's a bunch of bs you don't need to do you love most people. Don't even the most highly successful people in the book. Grit by angela. Wf she talks about olympic athletes swimmers in particular she interviews all of them and she asked him the question. Do you love swimming pretty logical question. I mean if you're a gold medalist you probably love swimming. Riots your passion. The answer was very interesting. This particular gold medallist said. Do i love swimming. Are you asking me if i love waking up at four in the morning so i can jump into a cold pool and spend two hours doing laps looking at nothing but a blue line on the bottom of the swimming pool floor having a really restricted diet. Non being able to eat what. I love having to study film having to train six to eight hours a day to work towards one event every four years. No of course. I don't love that. But i'm willing to do that because i love being champion. I love being great at what i do. And that answer was goal to me because that's exactly the reality of the world. That's the reality of success. People will put up with hard work things that they would never do. The right mind because it's painful. Why do they do it because they want to win because they want to be successful because they want comes with that success so if you wake up every morning and you are not smiling ear to ear every minute of the day when you do the work you need to do for your business. It doesn't mean you're in the wrong business. It doesn't mean you can't be successful.
Here’s What You Need To Know About Screen Time for Toddlers
"That looks at tv. It's not about like a having to see at one. Time announce something happened the rain. It's not that they look at daily long hours. So i think those researched by dmitry chris taxes and what he saw was that between each of which are still the critical years. If there's two or more hours per day every day than there are higher. Chances of attentional difficulties. Not adhd but attentional difficulties. But that's when it's very consistent and they don't look at the in between so going back to really looking at the studies you know if a parent especially now during the pandemic and you're like oh crap. I've been watching two hours a day. Like what's going to happen to my kid. It's a correlation. it's not a direct link and it's never too late to try to find ways to change it which will talk about but also what's happening in between if in between these two three hours a day you are sitting with your child. You guys are playing. You're chatting you're developing social skills. You're going outside. Then you're balancing things out but if it's seven hours a day of tv and you haven't tried to with your child and it's time for bed while i would say you know maybe reevaluate how you're using it and cutting it up a little bit or so. There are ways in these studies. Don't look at that but we have to be mindful of the

Chinese Rocket Debris Expected to Hit Earth This Weekend
"Air blasting the United States for making too big a deal about their 100 FT rocket that's due to come crashing to earth sometime this weekend. I didn't know we were making that big of a deal about it, apparently just the fact that we are talking about it. It all has China very upset. Well, don't launch rockets in the space and then not have a plan for them to come back. You idiots. Apparently, we don't know, but apparently we're not gonna be shooting it down, either they because people were talking about is doing that. I don't know how you're gonna be able. If you don't know where it's gonna land. Are you gonna be able to anyway? I think they're going to get like a couple of hours. They'll have like a two hour window window of when it you know, sort of re enters the atmosphere when they'll be like Okay. Now we know basically the radius of of impact. In a story published by the country state media, the officials criticized Western hype of the China threat and space technology advancement, adding. It's Completely normal for rocket debris to return to earth. Chinese experts conclude The rocket, which helped carry the country's new space station in orbit last week, will likely fall in international waters, and they're right. Yeah, my most likely cause a lot of water on the planet. You know, there's a chance. What if it doesn't if there's if there's a there's a possibility here, Um, it could land on the third Precinct. It's still a shell E mean that zero notice to say it way. Just be our luck. It would just be our Like that The rocket would land like, you know, somewhere in the twin cities, something that just got rebuilt from the right right right. And that's something that the DFL ongoing capitalize on and try to get more money from the taxpayers to fix. Us. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin agrees. There's not a strong chance the rocket will. There's a strong chance the rocket will land in the ocean, he says. There's also a chance it won't For those of us who operate in the space domain. There should be a requirement to operate in a safe and thoughtful mode and make sure we take those kinds of things into consideration, adding. We had the capability to do a lot of things. We don't plan to shoot it. Down as we speak, he says. We don't have a plan to shoot it down as we speak, and that could be interpreted in a few different ways. That's true that could be interpreted as we don't think it will be necessary to shoot it down or

Tips to Optimize Your 'Work From Home' Setup
"My first tip is to dedicate a workspace. Don't just work from anywhere at home. This is a big no-no dedicate a room. If you can with a door that you can close or corner of a room where that's just like the working corner. You only said there or you stand there. You work from there. When you're working on your business you don't work anywhere else. You don't work on your balcony with your laptop. You don't work on your table and you don't go there to relax okay. This allows you to say this is the workplace. I go there to work now. I know there's other people but we're going to create some incentives or some other systems allow you to Little easier on yourself but a dedicated workspace is very important. Make sure the space conducive for you to work me. There are no distractions. I like just a clear table or desk where i can. Just sit there with my notebook. My laptop my screen and just go for the less distractions better. Because i'll be forced just to get to work. One of the tactics. I like to do is create a to do list at the end of my day for the next day so i have my work cut out for me. The first thing in the morning. I know exactly what i'm gonna do. I have all my list of to. I'm ready to go now. There is an advantage of working from home. There's no commute back and forth. There is no wasted time where you're chatting with other people that's going to add up. You know you can add up two hours a week even just going out for lunch or going to the bathroom could be quite a hike and all those minutes add up. So why am i mentioned as well because you're probably trying to work the same amount of hours that you spend in the office including you know the time that you're you're working when you don't have to commute when you really shouldn't you really should incentivize yourself to finish early so if you finish everything you're supposed to do today. You should not continue working okay. I like to wake up earlier. Five in the morning. And i start my day that way but i spend about two hours Getting ready having breakfast reading just setting myself up for the day. I start working at seven. And if you're being totally honest yourself if you get five solid hours of work that's probably queant to eight hours in an
Jay Helfert's Journey to the World Series of Poker

Were the monterey the rainbow which were right at each other they only you could only play five card. Draw high or five cards rallo. That were the only games offered back. Cruise Cabin Mistakes To Avoid
"If you get it right you almost don't notice it but if you get it wrong you will keep kicking yourself and so will whoever you're cruising with. That's why i've put this together if you need to the channel. Welcome aboard on. Gary benbridge and marchessault travis all head to make it easier to find plan and have those cruise vacations you and your family dream of with the mind. Let's get going one of the biggest mistakes that people make is they don't want to spend time or money on the kevin because of the idea that the don't spend any time in there. I don't spend any time in my cabin. I just sleep in. My cabinet is not that important from there. Comes a huge amount of misery and unhappy crease experience. I know because. I learned the hard way and i literally get hundreds of comments confirming just this is also actually not true. Every single day you will spend up to half of your dna trails day to spend six to eight hour. Sleep perhaps one or two hours getting ready in the morning evening. Perhaps when you come back from excursions so you could be spending hof of the day. They're the biggest regret. I get is that people didn't take that seriously enough. Everyone assumes of course that everything will be perfect. It'll run smoothly and be just ride on a vacation but it may not be and it's really not worth taking that risk because if it goes wrong then you have real problems. Have for example. It's all fine until you have a huge amount of noise which means you don't get the rest that you want and going up nightclubs theaters gym equipment dying the scraping chairs on a product above your parting. People around the elevators problem neighbors kids noise come to interconnecting door crew coming and going through slamming access those people heading off port if you access to that areas right next to where you are all at kitchen noise vibration from engines and someone i would keep going on but there is a huge amount of things that could actually get in the way of you enjoying having a great
Feel Empty (MM #3684)
"The Maison with Kevin Nation, there are some days that you wake up and you're kind of running on empty, you just feel empty. You just don't have anything else. You and it doesn't necessarily mean, you didn't get a good night's sleep, it doesn't mean you aren't well-rested. It just you feel blah, you feel yuck. And this time of year, with any seasonal allergies, we all have it. The other day, my wife had one of her days where she just didn't sleep well and woke up. And you can just tell she was feeling empty the entire day, slight headache and just the weather change that was going on and it was a bad day, but it's tough because you wish you could minimize those bad days because of my allergies over the years. I've talked about this before. I have numerous bad days a month and you can never tell when they're coming, you can go to bed, feeling good and wake up in the middle of the night feeling, okay? And then, two hours later when you get up for the day, you just feel awful and you don't feel like you have any thoughts and it comes and goes, but I guess it's just part of the human life cycle. I know everybody's body makeup is slightly different. So what works for one doesn't work for another and while that's not the answer, at least we're all dealing with in some way, shape, or form.
The Life and Death of the European Super League
"So adam now that we've seen basically all of the team's pull out of the super league as of now. I think it's just real madrid and barcelona that are still in it. Can we pronounce the super league dead. Does it still have a faint pulse. Where do we stand. I think we can say it's dying. These clubs will now have to richards. Ufo and previously. They have really significant seats at that table. They were on the board. They were putting over levers of power in their absence. Carrie sandra mona buying if take the biggest seats of influence because the other clubs they will resigned from that position is not a disaster for these clubs in that going back to but it's certainly intended and is the super league dead forever. I don't think you can ever say is dead forever because these clubs still have the most interest this still drive. The revenue drive the interest and if they were able to organize themselves. I'm putt larry. Goes to one side and come up with a real strategic plan an email communications plan. It's not inconceivable that this could happen in the fuchsia. But i think it would take very very very great. People to stall is compensation gain afterwards being the most kilometers. Forty eight hours. Point uefa the organizers of the champions league had threatened to ban super league players and teams from participating in the champions league rail madrid as of now has not withdrawn from the super league and they're scheduled to play in the champions league semi-finals. I miss my centerville ice hockey family and yeah things are going pretty well a tk d. Sports i know a lot of people might not like the change of. Hey it's free to you know. Now it's four k but graphics and oh yeah. I'm getting paid but never mind. I mean i know it's a change and i know it's kinda drastic one because you know you tell people go. Youtube channel subscribe and then wait for the stream to start whereas this one you know you have to ten bucks per game which you know. That's not bad. Tickets are a little less but at the same time. A lot of that money goes back to school. Ali what did my boss kevin fowler. Tell me by the way. I i am planning. I've kevin fowler on my podcast sometime soon. She say about ten percent goes back to tk ds and not really exposing all what goes on behind the scenes but it's a lot because tk has several cruise. I mean they have to have all the g. walks schools. Cover now carlisle's in the mix. I think bell brooke might be in the mix so yeah. Kevin does a nice job with sports. And i implore you..

"I can't tell you how fun it is to listen to it. I believe trying to think what i was doing was i had hockey. Was i broadcasting hockey. And i couldn't listening to joe sentiment embarrassed. Brian byron larkin. Excuse me i forget. Yeah that was the game that Seven hundred didn't have it because of the bengals game here. I didn't listen to the bengals. I listen For a couple of minutes. Not because dan horn wasn't there. No that's not the reason. It's just the bengals season. Yeah another to win season anyway. Paul scruggs awesome player definitely is senior. He's shining game. High twenty points against cincinnati and for the first time since i believe two thousand thirteen two thousand. Fourteen the musketeers. Take the shootout from clifton. That's the neighborhood that you located and seventy seven sixty nine over. Cincinnati bearcats fell to one. and one. we'll talk about uc and a little bit. They had a nice win. Furman and dan hor broadcasting. That was the game. I was listening to as very surprised. There was a basketball game at five pm. While i was going to pick up more on that later and yeah i got pretty nice program. I mean power five. No but hey what's wrong without a great team outside that as podcast covers lots of teams not named that school in columbus so xavier got off to a very strong start. Six of nine shots made took a five point lead. Sixteen eleven thirteen fourteen bucks. Adam kunkle which is the transfer from belmont. I believe it at three pointer. His first basket with xavier. So and that's a nice way. Get your career on the right foot. As i say it's cintos but this was that the fifth third so back and forth game as you would expect. This rivalry is awesome. And i think it's been played every year since world war two. So yeah even the coronavirus couldn't stop the crosstown shootout take that virus so yeah savior wins the first the first game at clifton since two thousand thirteen twenty fourteen and now one six last eight cincinnati including two straight bove against john. Brennan a pulse. Cogs like mentioned game high twenty points six for ten for the floor. Eight for eight three throw. Line five rebounds. Five assists for scruggs fremantle. Who's also very good player for xavier. Sixteen point seven fifteen shooting also grabbed a game. High nine rebounds nate johnson. Ten points and four musketeers. Had six east. One odem. Jason carter adam kunkle and brian crippen and also xavier shot for the entire game. Fifty one percent.

"So now. It's time to talk some college basketball. That's right and we're gonna talk just d. one schools today because now i want to make this short episode and i'm already looking at it and hits close to fifty minutes again ma'am when i start talking on here you can't shut me up but we'll start off with xavier musketeers. I know i'm abandoning my alma mater. Normally we talk right state first and then work our way southwards to northern kentucky. But i want to start with xavier. Because they're off to a seven and start very impressive and they started this the wednesday before thanksgiving with a one. Oh one to forty nine win against the oakland golden grizzlies at home. yeah. Oakland is normally pretty good. They have town to pieces and coach. Camping knows what he's doing as head coach of oakland but just to dismantle oakland is questioning xavier that good or is oakland that down and i mean that that was just like whoa. So then the musketeers. Fall that up. They held off a furious rally by bradley. But the musketeers. Wanted and seventy or. Excuse me fifty one to fifty. And then the next game seventy six seventy three winners over toledo and game where the rockets had a ten point lead at one point if our stuff was super hot for the muskie's but you know i hate that nickname when i just used it. I'm sorry it wasn't the best for the musketeers. But what you do the second half coming back and winning by three against the rockets there normally pretty decent so nice three wins. they're all in cincinnati for the musketeers. That next monday. Keep in mind the musketeers. Xavier invitational plight oakland that thursday. That thanksgiving play bradley noon. And afterwards black friday played toledo also neum. All those games haven't a noon for the musketeers. That monday so really. Saturday and sunday off for xavier's men's basketball team. They walk in eastern kentucky and the musketeers escaped. Not ninety nine ninety six as a high scoring game right there that following wednesday the second of december xavier gone back on track and hammered tennessee. Tech seventy nine forty eight now time to talk about the skyline chili crosstown shootouts. It's one of the best sporting events in cincinnati outside of possibly opening day for the reds draft. Hey for the bengals when everything's looking. Hey we might balfour for the playoffs and then we have another two win season. Plus i had to talk about the bengals. Don't i like i said. Keep the tank. Go and get the offensive lineman out of oregon and sewell and work on the offensive line. Yeah that'd be great anyway xavier cincinnati..

"I don't think even know. I think he might have went back down to the dodgers farm system and that was kind of it so give. I'm saying major league rule five draft someone from someone else's minor leagues they saying the major league level unless they get hurt. Now the meyer league phase. The reds select six players lost three. So doug gray did this nice article again. Reds minor leagues dot com so the reds picked up from the dodgers shortstop errol robertson the new york mets catcher. Riffled a studio stu astudillo as astudillo another catcher. This time from the houston astros and chucky robinson. A from the arizona diamondbacks first baseman. You'll young cui which i think we might have revived. Saw as kane county cougar. Last time casey was in dayton. But i could be wrong on that. A right handed pitcher from the texas rangers west robertson and another shortstop from the arizona. Diamondbacks and stephen lighten the reds lost. The following three to the pittsburgh pirates infielder claudio phenomenal great defense bats. His last year in dayton. I think it went up to one. Eighty and that was biased. Maybe in the low two hundreds josie surreal real love which i don't remember seeing dayton as a left handed pitcher and he's gone to new york mets and also to the new york mets right hander. Hey seuss race. He was a great pitcher. And i remember him having a great year with the dragons and he's now with the mets now again with this draft. You don't have to go to the majors. But they're in the minor league club of new york mets now. So let's talk briefly a little bit about era robinson that was the first selection of the minor league phase. He split time with aa and aaa. Meaning we're probably not seen them in dayton. Lots of rehab assignment. His forty six games in tulsa strong it three ten as a twenty four year old that played mostly shortstop and little time between second and third which is funny because shortstop is between second and third now he also played second and third when he moved up to aaa in sixty one games. His batting average went down with the dodgers. It went down to two twenty from three ten and this is when oklahoma city was the redhawks button Another subject for another time also in double aa his Be a vip. Which i believe is batting average with Batters in position which. I don't know why that's not runners position but he hit three eighty one with Runners and position aaa down the to seventy eight not much power in the battle of aero robinson but has more swing and miss to the game. Then you like about one of five times strikeout. Which a little high. But where he stands out shines defensive side he's a well above average defender to plus defender even at both second base and shortstop and also above average speed although his game in the bay stealing world so era robinson. Looks pretty nice piece in the minors It really depends. What's his name. Wants to place him. pence call sorry Chatanooga or volt will see him. I again i doubt he goes the dayton but you never know. I don't know i'm just telling you about these players. Welford astra deal. He's younger brother. Twins williams dealer and wilford was strong behind the plate and his numbers second pick in the minor league phase of worldwide draft for cincinnati. Twenty years old. He's the kingsport mets who did not survive the he was in the appalachian league..

"Toback times last year. was evan. prater he's now the backup for these cincinnati bearcats football team as the second string quarterback ben bryant has entered himself in the transfer portal. Which is okay sometimes. Fits don't happen. I mean i get it sometimes. You don't fit in program. Sometimes you want to move closer to home. Sometimes you want a starting role. I get that. But now predators with the cincinnati bearcats from wyoming so definitely looking forward seen if prater becomes the starting quarterback for the bearcats in the future especially with kind of season. They're having they're going to play for the american athletic championship against tulsa and that will be in cincinnati. So yeah you can bet. I'm listening to that game. But back to mr football besides prater and keener the last cincinnati to win it. You have to go all the way back to the space year. Nineteen ninety two as goes to mark edwards of norwood all the way back. He was the first since nine to win it again. Thirty four awards you know then again. Only three cincinnati's now not playing high school bond cincinnati. But you know big part of the cincinnati football team joe burrow. He won the award back in two thousand sixteen with athens planes. Athens is that the planes at athens. I'm pretty sure it's athens. But they got so there you go. We'll talk about the argo again. This is kgo twenty. Four seven spelled g. a. u. x. And this is by shea. Dixon talking about koi connor again soon to be an lsu tiger not a great season this year for us you but remember last year. I mean yeah. There's a lot of town that got drafted. I mean borough cincinnati. Justin jefferson up to the vikings. You know very selfish me. I was kinda open. Justin jefferson would fall down but he was you know he was pretty good wide receiver. So yes he's getting taken in the first round but container is currently ranked. Does the number seven running back on twenty four seven sports composite which he finished out his time of roger..

"Gray sick Uni Andre Igwe dollar but I guess what I'm saying is even though I got them as my solid number two to. I don't know if it's enough to get them to the finals. And if it's not enough to get them to the finals I'm just looking. I'm watching these young brothers on the com- up and and they are so impressive to me. You never you've heard me say about Clayton Steph. You've never heard me look at a young ado debt young when it comes to Robson. I said he's a specialist especially touching no coaches. I'm just saying when I see something like that. I don't want anything to hitting away. That's my only concern. I mean Pat Riley has done it before. Okay okay two thousand four two thousand five. I was the starting point. Guard the Miami Heat. We made it to the Eastern Conference finals. The Wayne way gets hurt. We lose and game seven to the Detroit Pistons that summer. I thought because of the season that I had. Ah that I was on my way to a big payday. Okay Pat Riley says. I don't think this team is going to be able go to get over the hump. Let me make some moves. And he made the necessary moves. He Traded Eddie Jones to Memphis Guide. Antoine Walker. Who else did he get? He got my memory. Jay Williams from Memphis and white chocolate click white chocolate up point dozy. Sorry sorry what was it. and he puts all this chips into the middle and he made the trade guy his support. Max will what you're saying about Pat Riley. Here's the one positive inescapable because house of how he is and how he thinks you know he's always trying to win a you can never knock him for that because in his way. He's he's looking at you and he's saying I believe in you go get it done. There's no schedule how rare it is beautiful. When I see a team that I don't really think and get over the hump? I usually think it's futile mutal to mortgage your future to just one up against the wall every now and then I see a team that the odds are against them probably not GonNa win at all but the way they play they have a certain certain kind of leader kind of organization. Certain kind of chemistry where you go damn it even if it fails this worth a shot. This team is worth a shot. Were they got the big. Oh garland are equality doesn't because off editors who best players in the eastern conference operas or Janas enjoy lead to get out of the Eastern Conference. You have to begin on the floor. Who is a two way win like Jimmy Butler in the east? There's no wider. Why to slap them now? Nobody right but I'm saying those are the two best players in the Eastern Conference in my opinion into get to NBA finals. You have to go through the radio. Where do you have them now? If you're GONNA say the bucks are the best team. Where do you put the Miami Heat? Have they closed the gap on the Celtics. Yes I had them SEC. Okay I have them second. I Got Boston Austin third. I got philly fourth. I'm banging my head against the wall because of things that are going on right now. Just wish they needed number but let me tell you right now about the sixers based on what you just said because they have students now and that's what they needed Brett Brown around the clock because with the talent that you have available to you. It's only question mark is can you piece together Brett Brown. I believe Brett Brown round is in a situation with. There is no excuse to lose to anyone outside of Milwaukee but but let me say this is who is anybody other walkie he may still be there because they love him on a personal personal level but in terms of believing him as a coach is GonNa let me say this about the sixers. I've been arguing Ben. Simmons should have his own team although staying back in Miami. Maybe he's not mature enough but his development elements should look more like the freaks but him be maybe they're not getting the whole is not greater than the sum of their parts however when they're on the floor together the sixers are very tough to the beat they really performed very well and Brett Brown. Whatever you WANNA say Stephen a I'll agree with you on Brett Brown only because of this? The team is devastating eating at home and a joke on the road to me. That does come down to the coach but other than that that whole road split. I can't say they're not functioning like they're capable and Brett. Red Brown showed a functioning at a very high level. Yeah yeah well one thing he has to do. He has to stagger minutes. More because when Joel embiid was out with Injury Ben Simmons was ten illegal. I mean his pace was great and he was doing a lot of things in transition. So if that's the case all right well. I'm not going to play both in a guy so many minutes together Stephen. They had some great thoughts on the seventy sixers earlier. If you missed it in the first hour checking out on demand.

"Dan Conversation of whether or not. It's smart for Pat Riley and the heat to go all in right now. I don't knock him because I think pair rally earliest brilliant. He's demand even when the Brown was in south beach. RAWLS South Beach. You know this. Everybody knows this rouses on another level. I'm talking about the people don't know the old school stuff like example. Do you understand that. There's nothing that goes on. The southeast apparently doesn't know about are you going to deny that he knows everything I it. Listen you'll go you when you came in. You came in the next day tie. It was out party apparently knows why he knows where you were. He knows who he will sit there. You went to see you honey. Oh you WANNA sit up there you went to the GOP parallels you got a speeding ticket PAT rally. No he he is. Somehow how beat understand that okay. But here's what I don't like about this and I'm not saying I don't like the mood. I'm just talking about compared to your assessment. This is where I different. I don't have a problem with Andrea with dial on any championship contender. Because he knows how to win. Okay I don't have a problem with Pat Raleigh with what you just said because tomorrow isn't guaranteed arentine. Okay and as beautiful as that man looks at the shape that he's in the smooth with the suit beautiful. All of that is his father. Thomas still knocking on a door. We get that. Here's my problem. I can't emphasize and regurgitate this common enough. I love me some hero Duncan Robinson Kendrick Nunn. I love these young brothers is I love watching them play with Jimmy Butler in anything. Anything and I'm not saying it's GonNa happen but anything that threatens to take away way. The minutes from their development are concerned. I say one thing real quick short if they get out of the East and you're facing Paul Beautiful Beautiful. Hey It'd be beautiful gray sick Uni Andre Igwe dollar but I guess what I'm saying is even though I got them as my solid number two to. I don't know.

"And play on. There's some stuff going on our locker room and we'll oh keep that internal but You know we we you know we all know we need to be better than We need to step it up. Man That is significant thing about what you just heard embiid saying. I don't know if I'm getting the ball or not. Horford saying there's some stuff going on in our locker room. Well all of that speaks to leadership. Who should seventy sixers fans want to lead? The team is embiid. The leader is Simmons leader. Who is it well? ESPN NBA analysts. Damon Jones joined Maxon Steven A. and debated who the leader should be for Philadelphia. Who should lead the sixers in Beato Simmons? Neither one of them neither one of them because right now neither qualified. Ben Simmons you got to elevate your level of play it up a rim shot attempt to jump shot do something okay and oh by the way. You can't stay in south beach when the rest of the team. Traveling home you can legitimately wasn't is an findable offense or anything like that but it was a bad look number one because you just lost about thirty. And he was in the midst of a three game losing streak gave eighty points in the second half. Okay you have forced three three turnovers for the game against Miami. You stay in South Beach. That's the problem that's number one number two. Would the Joel embiid you consistently hurt you. Don't looking shape. I don't know if everybody's notice you know look and shape and oh by the way when you are healthy and in shape you are a star super superstar. You're one person you're the one formidable formidable object that could stand in the way of the Greek freak and no one even mentions him in the same breath and the only reason why you mentioned him a Greek freak and the same because they both can be all stop so right now is the answer to the Greek free all right so right now what it comes down to is. Excuse me neither one of them. It's supposed to be your coach but this questions about Brett Brown and as long as you got a coach with to play. Why is it a question marks? You are a leaderless franchise and wear you. You played you coached man. I'm I'm going with embiid. Should be leading this franchise. Because he's the best player and you surround players and people around your best player if I'm going into me being a coach coach. Put my coaches head back on. If I'm going into a game. My game plan is to get the ball to the best player and the best players Joel and he has to stay healthy. The of course but Brett Brown has to do a better job. And I've been saying this since last year in the playoffs he has to focus on featuring mb every single game they play. Listen Been Simmons. He's going to do stain defensively. He's not staying in transition. I'm okay with that. But joy live live be needs to be the focus of that offense and that's how a lot of it is when you talk about embiid. Not Looking in shape Stephen or Benjamin staying in Miami. I look at the Greek freak. He's kind of both guys. He played big in the playoffs like he couldn't get his own shot quite like an NBA. Right that's kind of matches up with a lot of characteristics that are similar to Simmons. They got in the in the sense. That he's like a seven footer. Who can handle and play? You can play five out with him because he's not going to shoot but he can take into the rack and the double comes then. He finds the opened willing passer. So otherwise you're gonNA Gambit on you. So why is the freak better than those guys they have two guys on that level. Why are they really not on that level and the answer is two fold one because because since they don't have to they made a choice? It's the FREAKS reeks team right and they built it around him and to. He's putting in the work. He's putting in a different level of work than embiid and Simmons. Obviously yeah because you can see the one again talent. Tally is different. But you know what really is. Because we're asking the question about all immigrants we're asking a question about this with the sixers and embiid and Simmons you know what the bad part about it. The question in could easily be. Do they have a leader anywhere. You just brought up about Elton brands. So this question walks because what are you allowing allowing him to do if you ought to sixers ownership ownership. You've already decried what they've done okay. And then from a coaching standpoint. Brett Brown is highly questionable and then from a player's standpoint the two cornerstones of your franchise question you literally from top to bottom. Have you ever you had one Jimmy. Yeah it's amazing. How quickly perception on the seventy sixers fallen? I mean we're talking about prep honors liability is a coach but at the same time remember number. It's not that long ago that what happened two years ago. The seventy sixers over exceeded expectations in the playoffs. Right so suddenly became they are the future and the future is now right trust. The process became came. This thing that works and we all love Brett Brown and frankly we had a Mongolian window and everybody was talking about. Oh this is GonNa be great for the seventy sixers moving forward now. They've hit a wall and it's staggering to me to hear embiid talk about. He doesn't know if he's getting the ball and Horford to say we've got issues in the locker room but we'll keep that private you can't. You're not when you say you've got issues in the locker room but we'll keep them private. Guess what you just made them public so man. There is absolutely to use a college phrase lack of institutional control right. You always hear that man. Everything's just go haywire. That is what's happening for the seventy sixers. I don't know how you fix it but I know it's easier to change one person cough a coach than it is an entire organization. I mean I mean what are they going to do. And how did it fall off. The rails.

"That means there's chaos everywhere that means we're going to get you the best guests and the best that we possibly can. We just told you. The news of the Nixon Aches and obviously in a big NBA Day. Nobody better to join. I take your take than the man himself from. I take Stephen a Smith Steven. Thanks for the time I saw your reaction live live as the news broke that the Knicks are bringing in. Leon rose. Now that you've had a little bit of time to let it I. Just why should knicks fans. Give this movie chance. Well because of Khalil rose is an accomplished agent. That can't be denied You know William Wesley Worldwide West and going to be a special assistant he's very closely closely connected to a lot of people in the NBA. For many many years it's about getting players. He knows plenty of them and the combination of those was to Along with the connection ca etc You gotta give them a chance. It's a better direction to go in. Then you are in. There's no no doubt about that. I only reason I'm suspect about it is because it's the same our suspect about Rob Pelinka. You have agents who avid track correct. They did an exceptional job of doing what they done in their career is that they've made a lot of a lot of enemies not just friends and so when you fellow agents who have players They may not stay at their players to a particular franchise and that could compromise. What you're doing like so? That's where I'm coming from with that. It's not to say that it's going to fail whatever but you do need to take a wait and see approach because those things the suspect. Remember Ron Apple Acre. He's not doing a bad job. We have to apply the job that he's been doing divorce. Angeles Lakers you. You're looking at the little piece of the Rally Bron. James and Anthony Davis Garoppolo often like had nothing to do with them being there. The problem was coming No matter what he just wanted Magic Johnson to get the credit. That's why waiting for Magic Johnson to be in that position and then the case of in the case of Anthony Davis keeps definitely becoming as well. He just had to waiting because of all needs made him. So Robin link up with that and those are due. Biggest reasons raise. The Lakers are relevant. Leon rose doesn't have that at his disposal he does it. He has represented call. Anthony Dow else or he's represented Devon Booker If you got those who do the Madison Square Garden. That would be an incredible incredible benefit to the Knicks Franchise headshot but we still have to wait and see as to whether or not that would have Stephen. A Smith joining us is brought to you by indeed used by over three million businesses for hiring post atop today indeed indeed dot com slash higher so just mentioned bringing some players in look. It's not that far removed from Katie. Saying that the Knicks is a brand is not relevant to young NBA players. How does Leon rose go in and change that I have no clue? I really really don't because again you know these players are smarter independent and and in this day and age especially they'll tell you ages work for them the other way around that so what kind of Leon rose could have in that department remains to be seen the one of the thing that I had a little bit of trepidation about and this has nothing to do with. Leon rose But this has everything to do with James Dolan and stout o obviously has taken on the image respected. We'll see what he all right. Stephen is you continue to look at this. How long should knicks fans give this experiment to work? What's a realistic level? All of expectation for turning this around no choice at least a couple of years. But here's a reality situation. The reason I was saying about the interview process you have several agents out who have established themselves. You know you've got the Goodwin brothers and you know and they've done over two billion contract and you got bill. That's been around for ages. You got rich Paul. WHO's making the words every day he's been able to do with the sounds like we're losing? CNBC get Stephen and a better line and really WANNA get his thoughts on this. Because Leon rose. Let's let's not get twisted Leon. Roses a profitable agent for CA. So he's leaving an area where he's making good money and the question becomes why. Why like why this opportunity for Leon rose and then what are the level of expectation because as Stephen Ames smartly pointed out there James Dolan has to is the factor that will continue no matter? What right like I've talked to some of our MBA experts and trying to figure out why big name hires in? The past didn't work whether it was Phil Jackson. Whether David physed ill where does this thing continually go wrong in the answer has it's been well part of it is that Dolan doesn't know how to give the space to make it work so if you're talking about Leeann rose you're talking about somebody that has a successful book of business right. He's making cash josh no matter what happens so for Leon to take this. This journey is significant. Now I think Stephen as we got you back. You're you just mentioned rich Paul at. That's an interesting name to me. I mean I'm a little surprised that if we're GONNA have agents in the fold why not him well like I said He's relatively young even though he's been incredibly accomplished and this short span but they were like brothers. Duffy's you know. Mark Bottle Steve of the world and various others that are out there but again going Leon arose fine no problem. It's not that Leon rolled. Having the job she is that there was no interview process. It's place so there was no interview process into that. Means you relationship you have with James Dolan. What has been the problem in the past involving James? Don't it just what the pizza born in it. That's the problem and so that's the thing that should give you cause to poor but again those Leon rose deserved a chance deserve the opportunity to show what he can do Shui. We're going to get stephen as thoughts on. It looks like we do. We have some breaking news here on the trade deadline it looks. It's like according to Golden State just agreed to trade diangelo Russel to Minnesota for a deal that includes Andrew Wiggins at twenty twenty one protected first round pick and at twenty twenty two second second round. Pick for league sources. Were they'll send Jacob Evans in Amari Spelman to the timber wolves so Diangelo Russel headed to Minnesota. Andrew wiggins headed to Golden State. Stephen I hate to throw something on you but you are. Mba your immediate thoughts. I'm not move. I know that Andrew Wiggins you know with at least early averaging in about twenty four twenty five again my question is how does he fit once. Klay Thompson and Steph curry comes back. Because he's not oughta shooting he can score but he's not necessarily a shooter. Does he really flow with what they like to do. What they're trying to but he is an asset? He certainly certainly not alive. So I'll applaud. Go to state or pull it off. What they pulled off? I just don't know how much of a different it will make for them if he if they're planning planning on keeping him next. Chevy Yon. I don't know but when you gotTA teammate. Like draymond green you surely Ain't GonNa be lackadaisical. You're not going to be somebody walking around act like you. Don't care about outcomes. You're not gonNA be the teammate and Draymond Green. Not If you don't teach me alive I can say that Stephen. WHO's the one team you got your eye on then in the next couple allows that you think does need to make a big move on? Thank you listen. I is in Philadelphia. Seventy sixers but also the Lakers. Because I think what a guy like derrick rose. What Dennis the shooter in Oklahoma City? I think the Lakers desperately need a point guard because when Lebron James is in the game their offices prolific. They'll lethal with the picket karol but when he goes out of the game vote who have to run a completely different office because there's nobody who he can put the ball in their hand. Got The threat offensively. You need somebody with all their hands. That's a threat to school. Derrick rose and true to those guys. I don't know if the Lakers get them but I think they should try. Do you think there's any hesitation of Stephen a given the tragedy that the Lakers locker rooms going through in the way that it's brought everybody together. Does that make it more difficult to bring somebody into that environment this late not at all not at all. It's about basketball. You know you can't change. What has transpired is very tragic? What happened to Kobe? Colby Bryant and his daughter and those seven other passengers on that helicopter But it happened and as a result they still had to go out there and Friday night and playing they still had to go out this Saturday night. It was some stream of consciousness what what none of these people who are critics of Trump acknowledge or understand like I saw one guys you realize how much he got wrong. You realize all the factual things were just wrong in that speech with his audience didn't care they really just soaked. "But fuck i mean we made it and like i just remember on never forget the feeling when i while we were like a namur d by seatac we thought that was like the i still think it's tacky tac airport of ever fucking been in my life really and then you get into because we didn't even know about like the link or anything so we get into uganda and we're driving to the airport and i'm with bucking squeezy and at this point i've had a very traumatic stressful moment with squeezy at the airport so i was just like feeling very like i wanted to get him into the apartment so bad because i felt so bad for him because he was just on like a six and a half hour flight i'm like a two hour drive to the bathroom he just needed some rest and honestly what a big trooper that boy was but we're driving up from the airport and i will literally never forget it was like a beautiful crisp june day much like today blue ask guy fucking sun shine definitely not the vibe that we were going to get used to it all and just when you take a certain route from the airport the view of the city is fucking spectacular and it's the view that we try to give people when they visit us because it's just like we we were like what the fuck and then we you know we were living in downtown so you're getting deeper and deeper into these buildings and you're like this is where i'm living like these are my neighborhood like what when you ride five into the city like there's a curve that you go around in the new dec all of the all of the city like the fucking call that skylines skyline.

"That makes a lot of sense that's me don't want people out trekking to church on a on a dangerous morning i'm sure you back tomorrow morning well we'll see schools you're right i guess we don't know rob cv and check out south bridge schools will find out for you right now for the the two hour delay delay we still have math when schools are canceled we don't have mass so that's a little bit of a complicated system but it works but i i called originally to say i couldn't agree with you more about safety first and canceling school for the safety of the children and just for to have more order in things too it's different from when we were kids dan most of us get taken to school by bus or we could walk home on roads that weren't as heavy with traffic but now i have a school in my parents to parents almost all of the kids get dropped off and picked up by parents and they've got to know what's going on and every every i'm gonna probably get myself in trouble but everybody in town now is wondering well what's tomorrow look like you know what i'm saying we just i just had rod confirm you tell me as a two hour delay in you're absolutely right it is a two hour delay to me how much learning and again i don't wanna get you in any trouble but so i'll say how much learning is going to go on in school tomorrow when instead of starting at eight thirty two starting at ten thirty next thing you know it's lunchtime then his time could dismissal and i just don't understand i don't know the topography of south bridge benda south bridge and i but i think about some of the city schools you want people to be able to get to work get get businesses back operational you want city hall to start to work and you want the road to be cleared so the crews can get out and and and clear the in clear the roads if we lived in quebec father ken where you have snow from november first through april thirtieth you'd say well you kind of got to fight your way through it but this there's only been a.

"Two hour delays around the region for for skulls how appropriate do you think those are and and by the time people start travelling to school this morning can they expect clear roadways do you expect um i don't think clear fef two hour delays means starting at one nine nine o'clock give or take right so 8 or 9 o'clock that's probably when sobeih tapering off from us southwest and northeast so it's gonna be close it'll be close because it you know you always worry more about those road surfaces that aren't treated as get out into the suburbs yeah get the back roads and you get the bridges in the overpasses you know the major always mean the bell way and i 95 and all that are they should be okay but you get a some of those streets with cold temperatures and a snow falling on probably not until the snow anz will we see a lot of improvement but still once again a across the region generally i'll one two three inches but temperature staying most likely most places in the mid to upper taught his quick question about that that the temperatures falling as you may get colder we'll that do we need to worry about a freeze on time we might have to if we've got wet road surfaces um and they're leftover through that i time hours would most of us going down of teens and twenty here we could at some black ice tomorrow morning i think the wind will actually help once the priests have ends thou dry things out a little bit once again you get into looks and crannies and you've got places that are shaded and if we get some sunshine today they may be protected so certainly got to be something we'll have to look out for tomorrow morning but milder days are ahead we'll be in the fifties by friday all right braced aged thanks very much really appreciate the rundown on this slightly snow morning here in washington dc ira all.

"That is the case i don't even think thinking needed taxes other guy about it yeah unless of course you want to continue dating him and they talked to him and figure out what you want but you don't have to be committed to anybody and you don't have young girl blame here at all date multiple but i'd get that there's a lot of shame in being like like oh no i'm not i'm not debating around i mean no i'm just a two hour approved i like it comes back down to the basic idea and this is just like a blanket statement for a situation like this but like women don't owe you shit men like we don't owe you a fucking explanation we don't owe you a buck in tax we don't owe you an apology like we we don't owe you a commitment we don't we don't you shit like especially after two dates are one date or whatever it was especially if he's not make it a move which i understand let's say make a move tested out talk about it sounds like there's a lack of communication general here but like you also don't have to like after the second date be like what's communicate like what's our communication style like this is the time where you really want to feel someone's communication style out i would highly recommend reading or taking the test it's called your love language can figure out like how you like to be shown emotions and how you a moped two to someone that you're in a sexual relationship with there's like five things you can be you can be like a words of affirmation physical touch acts of service gifts and then there's another one so basically like my love languages i like words of affirmation so you can show me you can touch me all you want but if i don't hear from your mouth at you like me i won't it just doesn't register so like learning that about myself really helped me learn how to communicate better with my sexual partners because i would have them also take it so that i could learn how to make them happier what do you do that on the guide never a good time.

"For that early awakening time let him have those two hours of sleep in the afternoon but i would also move his bedtime up to about eight or 830 i know it sounds late but you've got to give him that time of rest in the afternoon if you don't allow to take a nap he will become overtired you'll have bedtime struggles he will be so exhausted he'll fight you're going to bed he'll have a difficult time fought falling asleep it's going to take him extra long time so you've gotta find a way to work in good nap time and then you've got to give him a reasonable bedtime our andi do think with a two hour nap in the afternoons seven o'clock is too early in need to at least bump at 28 o'clock if there is a way and i don't know if you're at home or if you're employed outside the home if there's a way that maybe he could spend a little less time at preschool maybe a couple days a week i don't know how many times that he goes a week and let him sleep in that would be very very helpful to but your son is telling you he needs more sleep so your job is to figure out a way to accommodate him and let him get some good rest in the afternoon parents i love answering your questions so please keep sending them into me you can email me your parenting questions to ask meg at megmeekermdcomagain that's ask meg at meg meagre mdcomi'd like to thank my guest drjosh was straubhe has been.
