Google says it won't use new ways of tracking you as it phases out browser cookies for ads

"Reporting that Google is planning to stop selling ads based on individuals browsing across multiple websites, a change that could hasten upheaval in the digital advertising industry. Why would they do that? Okay, They must make a fortune doing that. Well, my guess is that it's not because they want to make less money. Yeah, that's again. I just thinking out loud here, and such companies prefer to make decisions that make them more money. So here, here's the basics of what they're talking about doing here. Is that Google? They announced the last year that they would remove what are called third party cookies over the next year. And basically it's a type of cookie is a tracking tool that's implemented on websites that allows again people to track the term Third Party is referring to the fact that it's neither owned by the website nor owned by the user. But the third party being Google on and basically, what they're saying now is that they're not going to build alternative tracking technologies similar to ones being developed by other companies in order to Replace these. And so instead what they're going to say what they're saying. Okay? And I'm just quoting here because I'm building my case. So yes. You should have been an attorney. No, I tried that for two days as a paralegal and did not work. Well, no, no, I I didn't like the idea of billable hours. That just sounded very anti human to me. Best way I can put it. Instead, Google says it's ad buying tools. We use new technologies it has been developing with others in what it calls a privacy sandbox to target ads without collecting information about individuals from multiple websites. One such technology analyzes user's browsing habits on their own devices and allows advertisers to target aggregated groups of users with similar interests or cohorts. Rather than individual users. So here's my Working understanding of where I think this is going Basically Third party cookie technology is one of these kind of buzzwords where it's Hey, they're tracking you individually. And so by saying, Hey, we're no longer in the track you individually. Google gets to say yes. See, we're making privacy important. What they're really doing here is yes, they're not tracking you between websites individually using the cookie. Instead, they want to use their operating system Android and their browsers, chrome and things like that. To instead say, oh, your user X based on the fact that we're tracking you through chrome and through android instead of through the website and because we know who you are, but no one else is using cookies. Necessarily. We're gonna have access to data on you and your group. That other people won't be able to have access to and will be able to potentially sell that data. In the future. Instead of the cookie data. It's It's six of one half dozen of another, like Google is not stopping tracking individuals. They're just changing how they do it so that it's coming from the systems they own, as opposed to embedding something on a website. So if I look up a trip to Spain right on Google, I can still expect to be, you know, receive advertising regarding trips to Spain. Say that one more time say I go on Google, right and I look up vacations in Madrid, right? And I read a couple of articles about vacations and, um, Madrid and places to go. I should. Still then, after that, expect that I will receive advertising about vacations on but dread in Madrid from VR, Vo and American Airlines, and you know whoever else is involved. Is that what you're saying? You know, it just will not be done in the exact same way that it was done Previously, so Again. I I look at this. And is it an improvement from a privacy perspective, probably to some extent. But Google's not doing this out of the goodness of its heart. Because at this point, I'm not convinced that Google has a heart.

A dark picture emerges: atrocities in Ethiopia

"Rumors and scattered reports of atrocities in ethiopia's northern region of tigray have been swirling for months amid a media blackout. But the picture is now starting to become clearer and evidence for war. Crimes and crimes against humanity are stacking up on sunday. America's secretary of state anthony blinken condemned the killings sexual assaults and forced removals said to have taken place in tigray and called for troops to be withdrawn. The conflict began late last year. When the region's ruling party the tigray people's liberation front or tps aleph was booted out of the federal government where it had dominated for decades has to be off. Matt has announced quote final military operation against the defiant gripe province in coming days and a statement. Mr abiy said there was a catholic devise strategy to defeat the grand people's liberation front in the regional capital makaay without harming civilians late in november. Mr abi declared victory. Over the tb l. f. An armed resistance has continued yesterday. If government rejected america's demands describing. Mr lincoln's comments as regrettable. Thousands are known to have died in the conflict and more than two million people have been displaced. The growing civil war has drawn in fighters from neighboring regions and troops from eritrea which borders tigray to the north. I'm gonna stay. International has just released a report detailing its investigation into this incident that took place in late november an accident which is one of the oldest and most famous holy cities. Tom gardner addis. ababa correspondent. Ever soldiers killed hundreds of civilians over two days. And what i'm going to stay says was retaliation for an attack by local youth on their military camp now. Amnesty says the soldiers roams around the streets of the city picking out on young men and killing them on the spot then proceeded to plunder the city essentially of everything of value survivors said that all they could see on the streets with bodies and people crying this systematic slaughter civilians and axiom may amount to crimes against humanity according to amnesty. And you say the main players in this incident or allegedly airtran soldiers right just to remind people. This conflict has drawn in a few other parties. In addition to the ethiopian federal army and two grand forces loyal to the tps laugh you also have militia security forces from may bring regional state of. Im hara which has a rivalry with the laugh and disputed territories along their border and then and this is really controversial element. You have troops from eritrea. Which since the beginning of the conflict has been fighting alongside the ethiopian army against the which has a long rivalry with as well as to whether all these parties are committing atrocities. I think based on everything we know so far. Yes but i think. Eritrean soldiers are the most widely and extensively implicated and there are allegations of other atrocities beyond. What's happened in axiom. Ever since the war began in late november we've been hearing accounts trickling out which beginners rumor clearer. Picture is slowly started to emerge. We've seen several videos that appear to show ethiopian soldiers. Standing among the bodies of civilians. They've murdered there was an investigation by human rights. Watch found. European army had shelled towns including the capital of tigray mckelway killing at least eight hundred civilians including women and children and winding back to the beginning of the war the very first atrocity we heard about was this massacre in the town of my tatra which is in western tigray near the border with the neighboring regional state. I'm harlem according to a report that amnesty published at the time most of the victims were. I'm horrors murdered by militia. Sure the ousted rulers of tigray the epl f. That was then confirmed by day. State appointed human rights commission. Here however take ryan's reflect across the border to saddam tell of attacks on civilians by them militiamen an by government soldiers in the same area for its part. What is the european government saying about all these reports so that is an important question on february. The twenty six th the ethiopian rights commission which is a state appointed or body released a statement saying that it had also conduct an investigation. And that it's key. Findings brutally corroborated those of amnesty. That's quite a significant step forward by the commission which tried two to three years ago would never have come out with a statement like that. The question though moving forward is whether the government decides to accept its findings and act on them. We have heard a lot from the prime minister's office the attorney general's office and other government agencies about accountability but so far very little indication that the government is willing to hold anyone but members of the tepe accountable for crimes committed during this conflict. More makes it even more. Complicated of course is the fact that the prime culprits in this case were eritrean. Troops can be very politically difficult for the government. Addis ababa which has been relying on these troops from eritrea relying on its relationship with the eritrean government to conduct its military operations in

I think i'd really like to do that. i tried my hand at a like owning another business before i had a children's store for about a year and then i sold that and after i sold i was going to have to do something so i guess also do real estate so i took my course i kind of knocked it out in like two weeks When took testing got my license. And i think That was in october of two thousand. Nineteen in between october and december closed one. I had a listing. And i. I didn't sell it but it's old and then Twenty twenty came and it was just insane. I know that twenty twenty has been like cursed pandemic year In for a lot of people it was like a very unfortunate year but for me. It was quite the opposite. I had my on like twenty six sides so good mix of listings and buyers. I definitely worked with a lot of first-time homebuyers but i learned so much Twenty six transactions will change you as a person really a really crazy. Twenty six transactions with a four months old or six month old at home and three-year-old. She obviously had the baby in the did the Like around christmas time. I guess it was twenty. Nineteen not i was pregnant with our little girl and gas twenty twenty. I was pregnant like on a summer. Like the worst time and like a beached whale. And sometimes i mean i would be showing homes just like feeling awful and i have you know toting around a four year old and but it was so fine and You know like. I close was in the hospital. I had a house close. While i was in the hospital having my daughter and then i actually think new contract to while i was in there so i never skipped a beat Like two days. After hat on thursday. And by the next saturday i was out. A new listing appointment With my husband and four-year-old and new more info. Yeah it was just like the new clients. Yeah i had a new diaper. you have to wear. Oh yeah yeah yes. It probably wasn't the most professional listing of white man. I think i was probably in like running shorts and tee shirt. I could barely walk. Because i had a c. section so like yeah two days after a c section. I'm like i'm not passing this listing. I was like i'm gonna go in those clients. Were so gracious. And i repeat customers. I work with them now and it was cute. They like bought my daughter a little onesie and stuff and they were excited. So i mean think about that listen. We can't even cattle prod. We can't even cattle prods. Some of our agents to get out of bed on time in the morning and you like c section two days astor outlook go when we hear like monroe stories. And they're in the hospital doing the all like i just. I love it. Because i felt like a a mental image of it. And it's just like if i was just saying this morning to like the one consistent being in my life is that it's always a like i like that usually usually you don't use the data. I know you say shit show. I think so. I love your attitude. Your your energy awesome the palace where your sources of business so Mainly facebook do a lot of face booking I know instagram is kind of like the way of the world in most other places of the country Here in little old mexico's area population. Twelve thousand. We're still really big on facebook here so i spend a lot of time on their maybe too much. But that's really where a lot of generated in like. A lot of my clients are people that i had gone to school with Looking to buy their first house. And i think i just tried to make myself as approachable as possible and i had been through the process twice with my husband. He bought our first house in this one together in the end of two thousand eighteen. So i've been through the process before You know prior to getting my license so it felt familiar. Just kind of learned as i went but i really became like a. Usda first time buyer specialists. That's definitely my bread and butter so And that's something really passionate about helping people who don't even they don't even know that they're sitting on Approvals or that they could even buy home. They just assume they have to rent.

Learning from a Failed Tiny House: Moisture, Mold, and Rot with Chris Murphy

"I want to kind of get into the main topic. I which is Kind of what. What has happened with your tiny house. and i was just hoping we can kind of start at the at the at the start of when the problems arose. So how long were you living in your tiny house. Just like happily unaware of anything going wrong. Yeah i mean in terms of the the major issue. We've worked through recently. That's the reason. I'm on this this episode. That started back in the late summer. Early fall we noticed a kind of fungus growing at the corner of our floor and wall by kitchen and we. We tried to kind of kind of came back and we were like well. I think we need to have this address than and you know at this point. We've been living in about for almost three years and once we dug deeper we discovered a much much worse. Problem with the mold and rotten are sub floor. So yeah. I've been with three years at that point when this all kind of started. Okay so you see just noticed this fungus growing and so what did you what did you do. Yes i mean. The first time we saw we we tried to we. We did the kind of diy solution so we kind of cut it off the ground. We abide some mold killing disinfectant solution that we bound when we research thought maybe that was it but within a couple of weeks it was back at that point. We then called ambled mediation cyrus around a nearby. Think from new hampshire. And that's when they came in to look at it. Okay so the what did they do when they when they get there. Yes so he took a look at it and you know he. He recognized that we probably had to tear like remove the kitchen cabinets. Tear up some floorboards and really gap a source of bit spray. Down needed disinfect into the the sub floor and then early backyard. Basically okay so and that and so. That's what you did so you remove the kitchen cabinets. Yeah this was in early november so we had to actually also contractor kind of a a normal kitchen remodeling contractor to do the first and third day we should have been removed the cabinets and after the motor mediation on the second day but the cabinets back in place and re put a few new floorboards back in and ripped up so now your bio says that you live in burlington but but are used. You're not currently living in burlington because currently living in your tiny house right. I am calling in from new york because when that happened and that plan you know started on the on the third day where the second actually win. The mold remediation Specialists to look at it. He he removed a lot. More floorboards thought and the suppler was a little softer than he expected. And he poked around but kind of you know he didn't want to go any further because he thought he got the mold and that's what we're paying him for us. The next day the contractor came in to put back the flooring and he starts poking around and poked right through and he started ripping up and he called me. And i came over from. I was working at a co working. Space in burlington came came by and he was like. I'm not gonna touch us anymore. Because this is bigger than you're paying me and i don't want to charge you for just a rip apart the sub floor and that's what it all started and basically fast forward three days in my wife and i had ripped up the majority of myself floor packed up car and head down to new york in pandemic. We had nowhere else to stay but going home and staying family.

"two days" Discussed on Blogging the Boys

"To all these podcast and everything you know. And you knew then that the cowboys had is for Taco Charlton. Either cowboys did not want. Tj What we knew that as much as we all tried to sort of convinced them that that was a bad idea. The Cowboys Really Really WanNa Talk Charlton. The whole world knew it. Now if you don't think the whole world knew that then you have to admit that the whole world and all the people on Mars all the people on Neptune and I forget is Pluto a planet. I know that it was on the fence. I know that there was debate at the very least but basically everybody in all the galaxies knew that the cowboys really really really wanted. Layton van direction two thousand eighteen. There was some some thought and some discussion from people online. That maybe they'd go derwin James but that fell more like a fantasy than anything so ultimately they drafted late in. It was what it was now last year again. No first-round pick so. It's obviously a very difficult to telegraph. What it's going to do in the second round because it's you know it's hard to predict the top forty or fifty pigs. Whatever the case may be But it was still very very very widely known that the cowboys were really interested interest in hill and again kind of like Derwin James the year before and kind of like T. J. Watt the year before that people tried to will something else into existence. A lot of people wanted Taylor rap. A lot of people wanted one thornhill but still the cowboys stuck with Tristan Hill. And you know. He was inactive more often than not last season so not exactly a great return on investment after year one. The names that are being thrown out. Now that's what I'm saying. It's worth paying attention to these names. Because that's it should be said that there has been a regime change you know and obviously there was on the coaching side of things but there has been a regime change in so. We're still trying to figure out the way Mike. Mccarthy and his draft process works as far as being the head coach of the Dallas cowboys but Kaleva Jason Lsu Edrich Edge rusher. That's a name to know C. J. Anderson cornerback out of the University of Florida. Probably not going to make it a seventeen overall but still a name to know. Aj Terrible quarterback Clinton on name to know Kenneth Murray Oklahoma linebacker a name to know these are the names that are being floated around and so you can kind of just put it together in one tiny little bag you know a bag of five or six names and kind of just reach your hand. In and depending on the circumstances depending on the way the I sixteen picks go assuming the cowboys don't trade back. It's probably going to be one of those names and all the names that have been kind of talked about and discussed and thrown out into the Kvant. Jason's probably my preferred pick personally. I just can't get C. J. Anderson. I don't think that you want to spend seventeen on. Aj terrel on Trayvon digs on Christian Fulton. I just you know I don't and you know if you're trading back that changes things certainly but you know a number of other directions. Kenneth Murray is a name that I think would cause a lot of panic for some guys fans at least according to twitter. But yeah so I just I don't. I don't see that as the best use of that resource and so if you can't get chased young but you can get clave on chase on the seventeenth round pick. You know that you can be happy about that. You know you can be pleased with that. You can feel like it was a draft. You know that you didn't hit out of the park at least in the immediate aftermath of it but you are responsible and that's sometimes really all the time in some sense is the most important thing but so pay attention to those names are also worth mentioning because we know the cowboys need to slot receiver. And there's a lot of names been connected to Devon Dover Neyla viscous Chenault etc but Jalen rigor who's a favorite of many from TCU. He was on the rap sheet and friends. Podcast ENWRAP report podcast of the show and he was asked Ian doing his homework. Kind of poking and prodding. Hey Jalen who are the teams? You've you've visited with the motion Jalen noted. He's he's talked a lot of teams. He's a highly sought after dude but the teams that Jaylen radio said he spoke to the most they Philadelphia Eagles which are forever according to our girls talking. Boys Co host mcmurray Philadelphia Eagles. The Las Vegas Writers who have basically every cowboys player that the cavs and the Dallas cowboys. That's right Jalen. Regular has spoken to The Dallas cowboys a lot. So pay attention to that because the cowboys need a slot receiver. I know there's talk about trading for one and others things floating around on twitter and whatnot but I pay attention because again there situations and there are situations but situations that befall the cowboys congenitally be somewhat telegraphed so pay attention to that also wanted to get into just a little bit here on Tuesdays episode. Joe McCoy New Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle was on the Dallas cowboys teams social channels and website. Did an interview with Shannon Gross. Shannon's great guy working for the cowboys website. And you know Joe McCoy we talked about. We played some clips a few weeks ago. Now I might have been a few months ago now. Time is kind of blended together but when he did an interview with. Espn's Marty Smith. We learned a little bit about him. Then but Joe McCoy against sat down with Shannon grows. You can watch the whole interview on the Cowboys Youtube Channel or are on their APP or their website. You know lots of ways for you to get back great content but Joe McCoy had a few things that I thought were interesting. First of all he said that the cowboys wanted to sign him last year. And when the Tampa Bay buccaneers not the Tampa Bay Tampa Bay buccaneers moved on from a Koi. There were a lot of you know you get that effect every time you know insert. Nfl veteran is released. Should the cowboys you know? That's the answer is generally no but in drill. Mccoy's case last year there were a lot of people are. We said let's go. Let's let's have the cowboys do this year. But Joe McCoy said that things couldn't work necessarily financially so he went and played for the Carolina Panthers but that he was pumped about it happening and kind of coming together here in two thousand twenty now. Joe McCoy spoke very highly of Mike McCarthy when he was on Marty Smith's podcast and again in talking to Shannon Gross. This exact quote more importantly man. I truly believe in coach McCarthy and what his plans I believe in my teammates and the opportunity I have to win. I'm coming down the final stretch of my career and haven't had the opportunity to make the playoffs. I believe that this team is the one that can really make some noise this year. Kind of a kind of an April sounding answer right. You know some some positivity in their spin going on there but it is worth mentioning that Joe McCoy has been in the NFL for a long time. And it's never made the playoffs. That's the Tampa Bay buccaneers affect So he still obviously got a lot left and he believes that he can offer to the cowboys. They can do some special things together now. Shannon asked McCoy if he knew any cowboys players prior to joining the team. Have you had any sort of past relationships with them? In Gerald said that he did know demarcus Lawrence surprised joining the cowboys. Here's what he said. The one person I had a relationship with was demarcus Lawrence. We met at the pro bowl. We stayed in contact. Obviously all the fans know how dominant a player he is and we had such a good time with the pro bowl. When I realized I had an opportunity to play for Dallas I reached out to him and he was really excited. And then once we confirmed they may have official. We got really excited. So we've been in touch in contact. I don't know if you guys know. I don't know how much he's posted letting you guys know. But he's grinding. He's really putting the work to have a big year. I'm excited about that. That's pretty cool. Shot Joe McCoy for letting US IN DEMOCRACY IS OFF SEASON PRACTICES AND WHATNOT. But the perhaps most interesting thing about Joe McCoy's interview with the cowboys website and he talked about his his Vegan Diet and stuff and his interview with Marty Smith but he noted that he has lost twenty pounds since the two thousand nine hundred and season ended. He talked about how he went on a ten day. Detox literally the day after the season ended with the Carolina Panthers and he lost twenty pounds and kind of just kept it up and then he noted that he's spoken to Bruce Smith. Michael Strahan Tony Gonzalez. Nfl Greats. Who later in their careers? Kind of slimmed down and he you know he talked about how he felt okay last year but that he felt heavy and he felt not the way he wanted to and wasn't moving exactly how he wanted to and he attributed to being too heavy so he wanted to slim down and he's lost twenty pounds. He said he's at two ninety five At least at the time of this interview and that hasn't been to ninety five cents his rookie year. So it's it's been a minute for drama Koi but pretty cool I wrote about this. You can check it out if yourself a blog on the boys DOT COM and again. There's an episode of the seven five. Oh coming your way later today on Tuesday and just episodes Galore again. If you're new around here thank you for joining us. Thank you for trusting us. We know that there are a lot of options. A lot of great options out there for Dallas cowboys content. And we appreciate you making us part of your rotation so. Let's have some fun this week. I'm feeling it. I'm feeling pretty good. It's going to be a fun. Fun Fun Week. I with the draft coming up so do me a favor. Have the absolute best Tuesday of all time. You know why because you deserve it. We see them in the. Outta my friends as always go cowboys and peace APP..

I know we have some people all over the United States of America and all over the world and speaking of our world. We hope that you are happy. Safe healthy practicing social distancing as these have been some some turbulent and some stressful times for our world but it is the week of the NFL draft and thankfully we have some some really interesting and fun stuff to talk about it in a big time puzzle to put together and hopefully we can have some fun doing that and doing it together. This week So again huge. Hello welcome aboard to all of our new subscribers and if you've been here for the whole ride well hey we love you just as much but anyway moving on with today's episode of the Ocho. Monday was kind of A. I WANNA say like a boring day or a day. But it's the week of the draft and so it's unless you're Yonathan Gateway and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Monday was a relatively chill day. It was the day that general managers and important personnel did their mock draft. Because the two thousand twenty. Nfl draft is going to happen. Virtually and there were apparently all sorts of snafus some bandwidth errors. I bet the EH. The speed test APP was was probably getting its fair share of exercise across across the Great United States. And so I mean look. There are a lot of people who have pointed out the logistics of the draft happening in a virtual sense in how difficult it's going to be. I am not an IT technician. I am not a genius in that department so I don't know how impossible is going to be but I know that when I watched the draft when I have my setup I've got I've got my computer I've got another computer in an external under I two TVs. I've got a lot going on but I'm not a general manager and so I have to imagine it's going to be very difficult and ESPN's. Dan had a tweet about one. General Manager apparently got kicked off of his Internet because his children were playing games on their IPAD. Kind kind of reminiscent of like when you're depending on your age now but when you were like fifteen right and You know somebody in your house like you know jumped on something and you were playing like an xbox game or something and it just kicked you out. That was terrible. That was that was pretty awful. And you know like the early days of Netflix. You know you'd get you'd buffering. You'd have those blurry scenes because somebody in your family was also trying to stream something so You know it is what it is no big deal. It's not like billions of dollars at stake when it comes to the NFL draft but anyway. So we'll see how that goes but when it comes to the cowboys obviously in the NFL draft and everybody's really focused on their first round draft seventeenth overall selection. There are so many people who don't even want to see them draft somebody. There's a huge group of people that are just start. What bump that. I don't need whoever it's going to be trade that piece for Jamal Adams. Let's go get him. I know that the girls talked Jamal Adams with Brian brought us on growth talk and boys. Gt Be Nation. But I don't think it's going to happen as as as much as I hate to say it. I will be fun. I know I kind of made the case myself on Monday but it just it feels like it's not going to happen and it should be. It should be said that this week in particular. It's so difficult to trust anything here and I don't want to say just ignore everything until the draft is over but this is the week where everybody is keeping their cards close to the vest and they normally do right. You just can't let even an inch of Information League Al. Because you've come this far you've got that's come so far. We've got so long to go. I think that's a line from hairspray. But anyway they've they've come this far and they are very very very close and so every. Nfl team kind of chill but jets general manager. Joe Douglas on Monday did say look. We want Jamal to be around. We wanted to be around for the future the jets etc J two. Yes I get it. I get it Joe. I get you like Jamal but you know what Jamal. He's got the Tattoo. We all saw the tattoo. He's from Dallas. We all know it. Let it happen. Let it be courting another great song right. Just let it happen. Although I don't think it will happen ultimately but you know hey you never know until that seventeenth overall pick has been spent just never know On Jamal Adams though it is worth mentioning that the QB's our brea wrote this on Monday. Quoting him exactly. Go CHECK IT OUT. The QB word last fall was that while he was annoyed with his name being connected to trade rumors he warmed considerably to the idea of going home to douse. Oh Yeah it's getting hot in here chat. Nellie warmed considerably also worth mentioning the NFL. Networks chain slater friend of the show. We were having some fun on the blog and the boys twitter and she responded saying you know just kind of felt doubtful and she felt bad about raining on the parade but that she thought that Jamal Adams would fit with the cowboys and if Jane said it let it let it happen. I mean look at this point. It has to happen right. I mean it's we've talked about it enough. We've thought about it enough. Do you know how many people have spent time on edits? Jamal Adams and a cowboys uniform are in. Do you really want all that to be in vain. Newark jets jumped on a podcast with the prime sports network on Monday and the hosts that I was interviewed by is a jets fan and Kinda talked about. How if the jets lead Jamal? Adams go for the seventeenth overall. Pick and that alone that there will be some vitriol coming his way from from the jets fans all twelve of them. But that's what I'm saying. It's just it seems unlikely. So as fun as it would be an hyped. We would all get about it. Let's let's start tempering expectations. Because I think we're going to have to. I think we're we're we don't Thursday could be a little bit more dramatic than it already but that's kind of what the NFL draft is. All about right. I mean having fine shaking things up and trying to get weird at least that's that's how. Nfl offices in general managers and personnel trying to handle. They're trying to you. Know not handle it actually. Nobody wants to be weird. Everybody wants to be boring. Get the players they want. Get in get out. And whatever every team started when the super bowl no big deal but there were some of the things that popped up on Monday ass and things of note and again we are now you know depending on when you listen to this about forty eight hours away from the two thousand twenty nfl draft and that means we've got an exciting. Oh Yeah it is getting hot in here. That's right. There are some names that are being connected to the cowboys. Some that you need to know because when it comes to the cowboys you know they're they're pick has generally been pretty telegraphed so when it comes to the cowboys look right now. You're hearing all sorts of stuff right so and so likes this player. So and so that player they really you know the Atlanta Falcons Really WanNA trade into the top five. And it's so hard to trust anything I get that I understand that. That's typically the way the NFL draft goes in this. Isn't you know a lock? Lock it in. Throw away the key type thing but it is very much worth noting that generally the last half decade the cowboys have had their first overall pick first overall the number one pick in the draft but their first draft selection and not even a first rounder because last year they didn't have one but the first pick the cowboys have made is generally very telegraph and has been for some time. This is something we've discussed for a while now but if you look back two thousand sixteen. I'm not going to Supremely Telegraph. Just because if you've got the fourth overall pick it's pretty. It's pretty easy to figure out what you're going to do you. Can you know generally the first kind of seventy eight pigs? Barring some sort of wild card or whatever can be telegraphed overall. There's obviously kind of swing point every NFL draft. You can always kind of figure out the first you know two or three picks and then it gets. You know you're GONNA have a team go one direction last year. Was Cleveland Pharrell. They're they're sort of. You know there are circumstances like that. I think this year the Detroit lions or one of those pivot points but so two thousand sixteen. A lot of people knew. Obviously that it was down to Zeke Elliot and Jalen Ramsey for the cowboys not gonNA hold that against him two thousand seventeen. If you've been around cowboys twitter you've been reading the boys DOT com. You've been listening.

so important so next five weeks I want you to tell me winner loss capital I'm talking next five games so I was going to buy this their next game is on the road at the site of their last loss metlife stadium against the New York giants that's on Monday night football I'm sure tests and boog awesome cute comments for Jason Witten I hope Jason Win scores for those reasons but winterless I think that's a win you know I think cowboys are effective enough to go in there and take care of the giants no problem I don't see any problem there put some five and three I agree especially with the by Jason Great it's going to get to work we'll see if he's at the world series again this year he was there last year sat next Brad Paisley Incredible eighteen in game I will never forget I was doing a high school game that night I remember and I said we wrapped up because it was the top of the ninth and Jason Oh my gosh call but okay so that would put them at five and three after that at home against the Minnesota Vikings back on Sunday night football the game I don't WanNa WanNa be fluff on it but it does it does depend on which vikings team shows up and Kurkin Primetime as messed there's a lot of you know loose variables flying around I think that you know the Vikings are the plane really strong right now I think it's going to be a good litmus test for Dallas is on there said I do think Dallas will pull it out that's a great offense you're right I mean this was a great defensive showing for the Eagles we'll see if they can do that against carp okay that puts them at six and three then there at Detroit I think they drop one of those games and just because I said this before the season started football's weird you know like the football news of football is going to show up at one point and the Games that I said that that could happen with this was way back and I'm not trying to be I called it the way it did the world series but I said the jets and said the lions and the deadlines game just feels kind of weird to me I I don't know I just I feel that could be a game we're going to find out that Matt Stafford I went to Highland Park in case you didn't know that over the last what isn't that ten years died Hirsch exactly I just that one I'm willing to you know I I feel that although I don't like it but I do feel that I think the lines they lost against the packers last wasn't Monday night and reading the horrible loss and then they had another horrible loss yesterday with the Vikings so you know I mean they are there pretty solid in fact I took him on one of the spreads that we play but you know I'm really think they're sneaky good Stafford's on that when we play them you know I mean he I think that's a loss and I can see I can see the cowboys they just got this huge win Yeah and then you just go and you fall flat in Detroit yeah the three hundred you mentioned six hundred nine earlier I think you've ever seen eight mile I'm going to be on the road in New England then four days later at home against Buffalo on Thanksgiving I think they split those so I think they emerged from this five game streak at seven and five ultimately means but that's a game that the cowboys haven't won that game in a while you know what I mean like the last game like that to me ballpoint I think you know here's where I think if they lose to New England I think that they might even drop Buffalo stating laws but I think that if they win in New England which I think they will then I think a they managed to maintain their their composure and then come home and win.

"Seeing that on on on Garrett as well I mean I would say that when the packers came to town that's a lot like how the cowboys looked they looked flat sports and it's not complicated like live property ceylon is funding super easy to play just join the game before kickoff.

This is rick mini kelly marquee and i covered the islamic state for the new york times when i write a story and and my dateline is the who's syria that means that i as a new york times reporter was standing on the edges of the who's syria. This is the last little island of isis controlled territory territory in an area that is quite dangerous to get there. I had to fly to iraq. I had to wait five to ten days to get crossing permit. I drove to the border. I got across the ferry. I took an armored car because there's this is all over the road. I got permission to accompany the soldiers they put me in a humvee and i finally traveled to the front lines to be able to bring that story so when i get that message on twitter or by email from grateful readers who say thank you so much for your work. How can i support it. My answer to them is subscribe to the new york times. It's those those subscriptions that pay for the enormous investment that it takes to bring just one journalist to the frontlines of the war in syria to be able to bring you that story all right sunny. "Russell even let's figure at least the end you walk away feeling field you know what i'm saying let's just fight just relieved so i think is something to think about think so lots of think of actually a lot too right because yeah you just can't see that's wrong stars at ain't there that's my but i think when we discuss mental health just like the ad said for talks basis not just like what happens to me much out but it's like when you put together everything you've been through how you navigating the world right now how much of it is reenacting from that wound or those wounds and how much of it is actually happening and i think what i've learned mental health is is taking the time to decipher that's what it is to me that's emotional health as intel emotional intelligence rather is like our remember let's talk about it being the pas but i i haven't internal pas but if i feel i'm gonna react at pause say israel is this real or is this this life on old story that you like time traveling back to because it made you think of it and you're not even being present right now it has nothing to do with this person or this conversation you have to check on you have to check yourself when you're time travelling and when you're present and make sure that you're always present into me that is the key to mental health so that you can make navigate spaces with a little more ease always immu challenge but it'll be a little more completely right you also get like eleven licks in amount of as an alternative i'm not saying that's not the way to go up to saying as an alternative we give them a seven ho licks.

"I know was getting people shoe shakes back in the day so they're little triggers that have like even you know no here someone's phone go off in the middle of the night you know like little thing so i'll return the wayne people someone's phone going off little triggers like face times beans a client or when their phone is turned over you know like all the time so are little things like that that i became slightly obsessive over because a i done this on new while it was happening in them be when you're in relationships where someone's doing that it becomes a thing where you start getting paranoid which is silly when i think back at them like why did you stay in these relationships you know like you i've put myself thang into yeah because hi but i'm hoping now i'm like friends soon as you feel that get the fuck out like doing right sometimes you gotta go stuff so then when you get because you gotta you gotta do it until you're tired of yourself you know and then hopefully you're tired of yourself enough to never put yourself through that again but i know those are all little things because even with people that are not with if i hear someone's phone i feel it in my body it'll be like a friend mike but it's the same alert sounds you know so i'll be like ooh girl you really it's like the traumas like on a cellular level we've talked about it being ptsd yes so you know and obviously these are not to make light of ptsd these are like more subtle versions of it but it's just so interesting how you can carry all these things and then my experiment it changes how you navigate and don't want to imagine me start dating the poor do just turned his phone over because maybe he just does adam adored show suits.

"But is so important to beware of the scars that you are you know invisibly carrying because it does change how you navigate spaces and to think that these people in this experiment would crying crying they swore up and down swore up and down that people were reacting to this and they could not believe it hotan it was just ugly just playing just just play what do you think of sante you know it's it's weird weird because not a one point they didn't like walk into a mirror nothing like excellent pass by like a window or something you know with experimental bay t jake with how they place them it just makes me think to myself like i'm always in my head anyway so when the always the moments wire try to say get the hell out of your head are those moments where i'm thinking where i'm building too many other stories like when i'm at a restaurant and we're out to eat and i'm like sitting with you and then i start thinking about like okay like my waiter is taking too long or like it's been five minutes or like now that they are here they didn't offer like what they needed to offer they not do like then i started become too invested their like whatever the fuck that is going on to like build this checks and balances system for myself like i'm building too many other stories like i need to focus on what's happening right here which is this dinner like here so like i think about that in every thing that i go through like when i was working on my project for if i were rapper like i have to stop every day every time i said all right i'm gonna wash music video inspired and then i'm like start making my list then like it will just take like one email.

"Movement you're taking it as if it's a a reaction to everything that you've done and that's means karma was dealing with the sylvia's girl in the first place asks you that question in the first place she didn't ask sweden she asked someone who knows me if i play silly ass all it's just silly why would you do that you know so that's a me is is karma in our i thought about that because you know i have broken mike a ton of hearts but you know there was a time which i've been honest about on this show where because of like the men are grew up around and seeing how they treated women i was like it ain't going be me you know it's not gonna be me so that's gone their personality so that i would was the car like you strike i you know i'm gonna strike first before anyone does that took on that mentality and i found it really fun it was it was safe and fun granted a lot of people got hurt when i was in that phase that's business that's that's business you it's just business change nothing on the changes is player santa gaming change but once i did fall for someone at emotional ashby house i okay this is why you don't chain people is way at the time i thought it was karma i was like that's payback i'm done i fulfilled my karmic debt you know abby now the next person i'm with is going to be all good because i cleared that debt no it was not and that's when i learned that's not how karma works because there's something i was carrying you know and then not only my carry out you coming into relations with people that are carrying their own shit and then y'all at carrying all these bags together you'll let me so is is makes you think and this is why mental health conversations are so important because we can watch all the shows and laugh and crack up which we do on this show because it's important to have a balance of all of it all right.
