Yes No. Maybe so but it's been it's been hard. I like my routine was thrown way off track and I feel like today day is finally the day where my okay. I'm back into the swing of things. Last week was a little rough for me. I was still on holiday mode but I am I. I'm ready to kill. I'm ready to just smash my twenty twenty goals and not even just for the year goals member to just smash the day the week. Some filling pulling extra motivated on this Monday. Some Monday motivation for you guys and we got a lot to cover today so I wanNA jump right into it and I want to discuss the twenty twenty Oscar nominations. That were announced this Monday morning. And that's all. I've been seeing all over twitter. instagram every gossip site celebrities size. All about the twenty twenty Oscar. Nominations and I'm here to talk about it with these guys so as I said it was released this morning. The Twenty Twenty Oscar nominees were announced by actors. John Chill John Show and and Isa Ray which was absolutely hilarious. I feel like they should be the ones hosting the this year's Twenty Twenty Oscars but a- As of last year they have not had Oscar just like last year ceremony. This year is Twenty Twenty Oscars will not have a host. The gun which I'm sad about how because I feel like the host of the show really makes an impact in the overall experience for the viewers and the audience members. So I'm Kinda bummed that they're not having another there They will not be having a traditional host for this year's Oscars and Kerry Burke who is the president of Disney owned ABC ABC entertainment. Whose network airs the Oscar ceremony recently announced dot the unfortunate event of no host but she noted oded that it will still be an entertaining show? I don't know you got some big shows to fill because the twenty twenty Golden Globe awards that happened last last week which I mentioned in a previous episode of you is when they go. Check that out Ricky Gervais. He's the one who hosted a twenty twenty Golden Globes and he definitely Lee made an impact and entertaining one and I feel like every award show should have some host or hosts. I don't know why he did that. but yeah John Show and ISA raid. They announced Twenty Twenty Oscar nominees this morning and this year ceremony will take place on on February ninth. So we're just about a short months away. From the event this year it will be Ninety Second Annual Academy the Award Show which will be held at the Dobie Theater in Hollywood and the Cabinet Academy Award Show will honor the films as well is the acting writing and directing the have made a major impact in cinema over the last year and I mean just like every award show. There's always disappointments and fans are upset and somebody's always gonNA be upset that somebody got robbed after. Somebody's always going to feel some type away towards every award show which is expected and I'm now going to list some of the this series twenty twenty Oscar nominees so for best actor in a supporting role. The nominees are as followed. Tom Hanks for his role in a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Anthony Hopkins for his role in the two popes Al Pacino for his role in the Irishman Joe Pesky for his role also Ford the end. The Irish Ma'am and Brad Pitt. For once upon a time in Hollywood which and this case Brad Pitt when this exact same Category for the Golden Globes. That just pass. So I feel like Brad Pitt could have a high chance of also winning an Oscar as best actor in a supporting role. And shockingly you guys. I just found this out out Tom. This is Tom. Hanks First Oscar nomination and almost twenty years since two thousand one dollars loss Oscar nomination. So I'm I'm surprised because I'm Tom. Hanks fans that could be a little biased here but he has starred in multiple and amazing films. uh-huh since two thousand one such as solely and road to perdition and the post and many more films that he started in some kind of shocked that the Academy Hattie has not considered my man here for an award and now moving onto best actress in a supporting role which sh the nominees go as follows Kathy Bates for her performance and Richard Jewel Laura dern for her performance and marriage story Eh Scarlett Johansson for her role in Joe Joe Rabbit Florence Pug for her performance in little women and and Margaret Robby for her performance in bomb. Show and I'm GONNA be so honest here you guys. I have not watched any of these films are have not watched Richard Jewel. I haven't watched marriage story. I haven't watched Joe Joe Robert. I've watched a little women. I haven't watched bomb shah so I feel like a can't really. I can't give too much input in this category because what am I really gonNA base it off. I haven't seen any of these films so I feel like I don't really have enough room to talk about this specific category But I will say Joe Joe. Rabbit caught caught my attention. And I'm very interested in watching this film because my sis and that this is a film that Scarlett Johansson got nominated for enjoy your rabbit for her supporting role. My while I was at my sister's house over the weekend her boyfriend and her mentioned to me about this film. They recommended it to me and said I should watch. It was funny that it has A. It's a satirical spin about Nazis and Hitler which I know when I say it's like you know a cringe-worthy you got chills may be by. Go Watch the trailer and let me know the comments which you think of the film. Because I'm kind of like interested. It's definitely has A. There's humor to the whole matter. It's like they painted Hitler Hitler as a Disney princess like they definitely made this into more of a comedy film satirical film so I'm interested to see especially since my sister did recommend to me and that lady does not recommend anything to me so the fact that she pointed this film out and and said you need to go watch it. It's funny I'm more prone to go watch. I'll keep you guys posted on my thoughts on Joe Joe Rabbit now moving on to shoe best actor in a leading role. I was just talking about the supporting roles now. Moving onto deleting roles and the following nominees for this specific category are Antonio what. I say that I can speak Spanish on on your Bandera for his role and painting. Glory Little Nardo DiCaprio zero for his role in once upon in Hollywood. I don't driver for his role and Merit Story Joaquin Phoenix for his role and joker joker and Jonathan Pryce for his role. In the two pulps. I am not surprised that Joaquin Phoenix got nominated waited for best actor leading role. Because I really feel like he should be the winner because his role and the joker was phenomenal. It was conic people. People are going to be talking about this film but more specifically him for the next decade and I can confidently say that. Because that's how amazing that that movie was and I think I mentioned already in the previous podcasts. So you have been listening to me then you can tell by tone of voice that I'm very passionate about this film. I am one hundred percent behind it and I feel like everybody should go watch and best. Actress in a leading role has has been nominated to Cynthia or revo for her performance in Harriet Scarlett Johansson for a different film for her role in marriage story. Swazi Ronin for her performance and little women. Charlie's thrown for her performance and bombshell and Renee Zellweger for her performance in Judy and in this category for best actress in a leading role Renee Zellweger Zellweger took the trophy home. And One and this specific category for this this year's Twenty Twenty Twenty Twenty Golden Within Globes Award Ceremony and Ladies and Gentlemen. We're GONNA just jump right onto way. We're GONNA continue talking about some of the this year's twenty twenty any Oscar nominees and for best picture. The following films were nominated Ford versus Ferrari the Irishman Joe. Joe Joe Rabbit Joker little women marriage story nineteen seventeen once upon a time in Hollywood and parasite right now a couple of interesting facts here. I'm going to share with you. Guys parasite just made Oscar history by being the first ever South Korean Korean film to Be Nominated for best picture and for best international film. That's amazing that's such a huge accomplishment and I am sure sure that everybody who took part into that project into Pyre. Cy must be so happy to have made history even be nominated as such an honor in especially for best film. So I'm happy for the South Korean film however all right however no international national or foreign language film has ever won for best picture. We could keep our fingers cross. But I mean we're going to have to see if parasite I makes history again and ticks at home for best picture which means they would have to beat out you know. The Irishman Marriage story nineteen eighteen. Seventeen joker so Paris. I had some tough competition. There was some amazing films within the last year. So we're going to wait and see on February ninth who the winner winner is another interesting. Fact is if you guys haven't seen the Irishman plays on net flicks and it runs for two hundred. Nine minutes. KNITS are right. That's for those of you who aren't very good with numbers. It's about three hours long this film. It's pretty long. which which is why? I haven't taken part into watching this film because I just that's way too long for me and going off topic here a little little bit. This is also why I haven't seen Star Wars. Oh my God I know all of You Star Wars fans and even Lord of the Rings Avenue even fulfill them. I've tried hi. It's not that I haven't tried watching these long films but I literally fall asleep like my attention. Span is not that long sides start art dozing off. And hence why I haven't even watched I have never watched a four star wars film or Lord of the Rings Film. I know you are going to come at me. Crazy in the comments. And I'm sorry but yeah that's also. Why haven't watched the Irishman? I think I have to like break. It down until like two or even three like sittings readings so I can just like really grasp the movie so as I was saying gone a little off traffic or off topic there but Irishman so it runs for almost three hours. I making it the longest best picture nominee film of the last century. Pretty major the last film being the Nineteen Sixty three film Cleopatra so since Nineteen Sixty three there has not been another. Long film like the Irishman. Two I've even been nominated in this category for the last half century. That's huge. That's pretty major now. Moving on to a different category a the nominees for best director are Martin scores for his film. The Irishman Todd Phillips for the Joker Salmon. Dez for one thousand nine hundred Seventeen Quentin Tarantino for once upon a time in Hollywood and Bong Jun Ho for parasite so far you. Guys Joker leads the Oscar. Nominations this year with eleven. So joker is on top of it. They are at the very very front of the race so far being nominated for lovin nominations. That's impressive and four. Just just like the Golden Globes Sam Mendez. He won best director for his film and nine hundred seventeen. So we're going to have to see. If Sam abandons continues continues that streak and also snags the award for best director At the Oscars where we're GONNA have to wait and see and just like the Golden Globes jobs and pretty much every other award show ceremony occurs every year. There are many snubs people getting robbed. Many the people being upset fans just saying I'm not going to watch this year's Oscars because so and so was nominated it's normal even even those involved in the entertainment industry sometimes have input and express their disappointment or sometimes even rage age of why they didn't get nominated So one of those being director Greta Gerwig for her work and little women again. Exactly like the Golden Globes no females were nominated for an Oscar for best directing category which is upsetting. Because I'm sure there are many many amazing directors in the film industry such as Greta Gerwig and I mean one of the actresses got nominated for little women in Stars Ronin got nominated for best actress in our leading role. So why couldn't the director been involved in the nomination lists as well well so I'm not sure who runs the academy. WHO's behind all the nomination? What exactly are the requirements dance? Or what exactly is the academy looking for to even be considered as a nominee for an Oscar. I just wanted to talk to you. Who are are you? What are the requirements okay? Why are you leaving us? Women ow not okay okay. And in addition many films films are also shocked and frustrated by the mission of Uncut Gems and the twenty twenty. I kinda me award. NOMINATIONS UNCUT UNCUT GEMS was just released in December and. This film is directed by brothers. Josh and Benny softy and this stars Adam Sandler and this was also very shocking because not only is like almost every Adam Sandler movie quite amazing I say so myself but I'm cut jams the very strong opening box office. It actually was a twenty four's highest ISG grossing film ever so people definitely felt like Adam Sandler got robbed for his abeysinghe performance and uncut gems. So I've heard to be honest. I watched the trailer for Uncut Gems and it pretty much has to do with Adam Mhm Sandler. He's like gets involved. He does bets like that's his thing he's in has also with a jewelry store and he's a bedding and it's kind of like he's involved in the fast live like there's guns there's fighting their sex And Yeah I know I'm probably not describing as could be but that's literally how I thought of. The trailer was kind of like all over the place for me like I understood. There's violence violence involved. And there's money involved and there's like a lot of a lot at stake but I couldn't really understand the true concept of the film just based off off the two minute trailer that I watched. And if you've also seen the trailer for uncut gems the new also must understand where I'm coming from. Which is why I'm not able to thoroughly describe and paint a pretty picture for you guys for those who are listening? But I'm I'm proven wrong. Because many critics and fan fans who've seen the film say that this is one of Adam Sandler's most amazing performances that he absolute deserves an Oskar so I am now more inclined after the list of the nominees. Now I'm now more inclined to watch. Uncut Cut Jones because of this even though they did not they completely got shut. Out of this year's Oscar nomination lists are more prone to watch the film because so when people are outraged so it must be good of many people are upset that uncut gems and Adam Sandler God booted out for this year's Oscars so I will also keep you guys posted on uncut gems because they definitely prove me wrong. Because I was absolutely not interested. Did after watching the two minute trailer on Youtube I was like. Yeah I can pass on this. But I'm proven wrong. So we're just GONNA have to wait and see. In addition Shantou fans being upset at there were no women. Directors being nominated that uncut gems and Adam Sandler were also shut out for this. Here's Oscar nominations fans were also upset. The Jennifer Lopez missed out on an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress for her role in the comedy. Comedy Drama Film hustlers which I am so embarrassed to say I still. I still have not seen Hustler's I am dying to watch films. So is my mom. I WANNA see some booty. I WanNa C.. J. Lo on the poll K. I. Nine indicate PG thirteen. I'm sorry if your child is listening listening to you right now but I wanNA see Jaylo K.. And she was nominated for best actor. Best supporting actress Grist for this specific role at the Golden Globes. She didn't win but she was nominated in this category so it was shocking that she had had also been shut out in this category. I mean I don't know what do you guys think which film award show is more prestigious. Prestigious is it the Oscars the Oscars over the Golden Globes or vice versa. I feel like it could possibly be the Oscars Oscar's like everybody always talks about the Oscars and like I feel like there's something about the academy that like if you are in that world it validates your success in the film industry but I don't one hundred percent agree with that because they also shut out beyond say and she's like the Queen of America so I don't really believe that award shows should validate one success in the entertainment industry. And let's keep it going about more upsets of this year's twenty twenty nominations other actors who you fans say the academy forgot to mention or they must have forgot to these people even exist. Were Lupita Neil Yongbo aquafina tyrone Egerton Eddie Murphy and Robert Deniro and I agree on like how can you shut these people off. They're all amazing actors and actresses actresses and I also understand from the academy's perspective. Like how do you hand out. You know how how are. Are you able to mention as hard to include everybody. That's what I'm saying. You know like I feel like even if all of these listed actors and actresses who are just mentioned were nominated. Somebody's still going to be upset. Somebody's going to be outraged at a particular film wasn't mentioned or that particular director wasn't mentioned so I mean in conclusion. I feel like I can say that. This is pretty typical of award shows. No one ever leaves happy Okay none of us should be surprised anymore. Someone is always going to be upset. That so-and-so wasn't nominated or that zone so didn't win for best actor best actress best supporting roar or whatever the case may be and I'm going to go on another quick break and when we come back I'm going to share with the guy's a new romance tired of searching the vast jungle of podcasts. However people were clowning? The situation saying that future had done this to all of his previous girlfriends all his past relationships and all of the women he slept they all post that exact same like clip of then walking into a hotel room. And there's like rose pedals all over the floor and like a rose of roses on the bed so people were definitely clowning. The situation and and I'll get into more wide. Their relationship is so I want to try and find the right word to say. It's not funny but they definitely pack a punch. I will say that. And and she posted also another short clip. The two are seen enjoying an afternoon outing together there and at one point the birthday girl you know she pulls futures had close to her and kisses her on the cheek and naturally. She smiled after getting her smooch coach and puckered lips. Well and as she was facing the camera and it was a very short clip. Like you know things that girls do too like leather uses now like I got a man but you don't know too much. That's pretty much what she did. And she captioned the video. Life is good and and this is referencing to futures latest single with drake. Also titled Life Is Good. Life is good ev. You guys haven't listened to that song. It's a perfect perfect song to work out to life is good has that like high-energy beat the back like it starts off with drake being melancholy per usual will so the first minute of the track. He's you know Drake's he's spitting but not too hard. It's not aggressive. It's like easing into the drop of the be an that's when like future comes N. He's like killing it with his bars. And it's super high energy perfect again for working out. So that's what she's referencing to to. Their latest hit single life is good. Additionally future also shared the same footage to as instagram's fo stories. The one where she pulls his head and closer to her as he gives her KISLA cheek. He also posted up on his instagram story. And the news of their romance came nearly two months after the twenty three year. Old Star. And diddy you guys. Okay Sean Diddy. Combs called a quick quit so the two were casually dating for almost three months before deciding to go their separate ways. Now this girl has. I've been everywhere you guys because this girl Lori Harvey she dated a few years back ditties sign okay at one point. She dated Daddy Stein Christian calms. Can you imagine like your ex girlfriend then. Dating Your Dad like that is why this whole situation is comical and why everyone is on social media going crazy for lorries and futures relationship because they're so similar like calling on the most toxic couple in the most comical way like they both have dated so many people like they're dating lists they're they're dating history is pretty long not like bashing on them. Everyone's you know entitled to their own love life their own sex life their own dating life like that is you. I see nothing wrong with dating multiple people and heck. She's twenty three. She's young. She's at the age where she can date whoever she wants. No Oh she doesn't need to be you know compromise with anybody as long as each individual is single and not married. I feel like the situation is okay. I know she has been getting a lot of backlash from men which is like ill because you're just display displaying talk masculinity on air but anyways I feel like every woman should do whatever they pleased with their bodies and if she wants to day a back to back you know men the letter B.. She's single she's young. She's hot she's twenty three. She's at the perfect age to do it so I just WanNa put out there. Don't come from a girl. Laurie and I think this is why so. Many women are rooting for her on social media is because she's acting like a dog and what I mean by that I don't mean that derogatory rogatory term. But she's acting exactly how men have treated so many women for years to be specific more like future. Yeah this is how future is dealt with all his past relationships like he dates one girl gets them. Pregnant has a baby with them and hops the next one and that's kind of his routine eighteen and that's why so. Many women are like rooting for Laurie. Because she's acting she's falling the same steps as other men and the future and that's why they have been labelled as the most toxic and put air quotes because everyone throws that word around like hot potato nowadays as but that's why they're labeled as the most toxic couple right now and it's just comical. That's how I view it like the whole situation is comical to me. I try not to get too invested and celebrities lives. I mean they're celebrities. They don't know me. I don't truly know them so I shouldn't get my emotions and feelings. You know so involved into their life because they have no idea who I am and their personal life does not affect me but it's just entertaining rides the whole point of this podcast. It's entertainment news as just four. Like you know. GIGGLES put a small phase as entertainment all right and and I guess that it's all a joke. You guys tall joke. Don't take it too seriously. And in addition to the new Romance Laurie Sorry Harvey has with future. I WanNa talk about the buzzkill that this lady just experience so nearly three months ago. Laurie Harvey was arrested. Okay okay she was arrested for a hit and run and Beverly Hills and just this morning. It has been announced that she has been charged with two misdemeanors from that incident. Tip The twenty three year old has been hit with one count of resisting delaying and obstructing a peace officer as was one count of and run resulting voting in property damage. She is set to be rearranged on January twenty first which is like. Oh Boo a sucks man. I hate that uh-huh. Apparently she was involved in a single vehicle accident in Beverly Hills about three months ago and the authorities confirmed that she didn't stick around the scene but was apprehended nearby. So that's pretty much. Why she's getting the two misdemeanors when police arrived the driver of the sedan? which happened to be her? She left the scene of the collision and was ultimately contacted by police in the area. That's and I feel like she's always young. I feel like she didn't know any anybody I've heard of other people around that same age like leave the scene typically When you get in a car accident ah especially when you're young you're you're frazzled? Like you don't really know what to do. And especially depending if you're lucky or unlucky depending who you go in a collision with they could absolutely take advantage of you. I remember one time I was rear ended in L. A. and traffic and the couple were in middle middle-age and they definitely took advantage of me they were not letting me take pictures of their license play. They wouldn't let me see their license. I took a picture or nothing. It's like girl. My Mom taught me well and I know what I need to be doing when I get into collision so I feel like that. Possibly may have been the situation with Laurie. Harvey maybe the person she gonNA Accident with told them. Oh No it's fine. You know like each their separate ways I mean I don't. There's not too too much detail about the severity of the situation. I don't know if it was very terrible I don't know if anybody got hurt so I feel like a term hit and run is being thrown very loosely in this situation but I mean unfortunately she's now getting two misdemeanors for And due to the fact that she left the scene of the collision without providing information or contacting police as required by law cause a delay and and the police investigation and she was cited for misdemeanor hit and run and obstructing. Langa police officer. So I'm sorry to Lauri Harvey that's very that's sucky situation. I feel like I've been in something similar but I have no misdemeanors knock on wood my records clean and you guys. That's going to wrap up today's episode for the entertainment podcast as always. "What's up? Look Mine Trading Card Game Fans? Welcome to episode twenty nine of the Special Conditions podcasts. Were a love for Pok. Mon Collecting collide today is April first. Twenty Twenty April Fools Day. I want your host Adam. Tuttle joined by my co host Josh Brown. What's going on? Do Anything for April fools. Well I mean this is my last time of the podcast so I just WanNa say thank you for a lot of fun episodes but I have decided to start my own podcast about yu-gi-oh so see and it's unfortunate but you know it's nice to have had you long for this this amount of time. No no no fool in on this April first because the world sucks right now and practical jokes do not make anybody feel better about things so I'm sure polkadot Rick would appreciate the yu-gi-oh reference learnt so much after last week's episode. I was like I'm new podcast idea. Let's just gone into defense mode. Returned retainer Yuki yu-gi-oh card sideways Maybe I'll do like bay blades. Podcasts or something that would be cool is that my son would listen to that. That's still think I don't know I. Apparently I last the last tournament I went to the day one. There was actually basically like league tournament going on in the back of the room. I was like what could for them. Yeah who expect suffer. Frog went out there. Isn't there so the show will still go on with with both Josh. I that was you know. Obviously a joke not a very funny one but you hope so on. Today's Today's show we get to talk about the Twenty Twenty Pokemon Championship series being canceled. Just SUPER UNFORTUNATE. But we'll dig into that in a minute Pickup of the week. There was a new tag team g xbox that released We'll get we'll get into that Josh's question of the week and then the card of the week is reset stamp from unified. Mines Yeah and that spoiler My question of the week is probably going to tie into the new story about the championship. Series getting cancelled so Those will be kind of intermingled in the in the show so all right all right. Yeah Disa- let you know all right well then. Then there's like some a plug to for Steph later on but all right let's get let's get into it. We'll also Adam I wanna let you know. I didn't tell you this ahead of time but I have another news article that I wanted to read you But I need to find it again so once I find it. I definitely want to dig into because again. We don't get many news articles about Polka mine. trading cards Nan. Usually when I saw this one I said ooh that's Juicy. That's interesting that's definitely something we haven't talked about so We'll squeeze the juice when we get there. Yeah and I pulled up. I found it. So we're okay. Yeah let's actually. Do you want to do it? I yeah let's do it. I okay sneakers legal about a tournament. That happened which would probably be the last tournament for a long time. Because of what we're GONNA talk about next so I just want your thoughts on this. Essentially is why I want to bring it up The headline the article and I pulled this up from Aegean is put him on. Champion uses Char's ord Venus and blast toys to win major tournaments cat. Okay are intrigued. I'm intrigued but I consider it. Have you heard the story yet? No okay so the TC G. Two thousand nineteen world champion Henry Brand He just added another major victory to his record in this time he did it in style. brand took first place at the POKEMON regional tournament in Perth Australia With an ultimate mu three deck that had never been seen before and the biggest surprise to longtime fans was that it used all three genuine starters Charles obvious or and blast always So let's see here When key aspect that made brands deck? So unexpected is how it uses so many pokemon a different types Talking about the medics and Talking about his stack one. Two Thousand Fifteen pokemon. Tc G. World Championship Many decks have earned big wins with Russia. Ram and charges are it was released in May two thousand eighteen. Obviously we've talked a lot about that Carter and via sore It gets points for tried. Yes now is it talking about the g XS by themselves or is it the Tag Team X.'s Let's see here so see. Let's see so it's Especially greedy that allows charge toys to co exist in the same deck is none other than Mu Metoo in mutual. This obscenely powerful card has the perfection ability that lets us the attacks of other Pokemon Jacks on the bench or in the discard pile For example if me to in Mu g x take a big hit it could return damage and then some with Russia Ram in charge XS. Outrage attack It needs to reach a big number to take a knockout POK MON with high. Hp could use black toys. G XS rocket splash to get there as for Venus Lawrence ninety x rather than attack. It's in the deck for the Shining Vine ability that lets it gust up vulnerable. Bench Polka Mont He was able to answer the multi type problem with newly released. Aurora energy that provides all types of energy when four copies are added to the deck along with four Rainbow Energy which has the same effect for different cost. The deck has eight energies that let me to Mu Jax use virtually any attack Addition to the Kanto trio the deck is a handful of ODD POK MON. Like a lowland radically Violence Bloom Jacks in flag on Jax. That most other players had long written off as bender trash but brand saw or binder trash. I'm sorry but brand saw that. They had very specific uses that he could explain to take opponents off guard and come out. Victorious Those are just highlight to the day. Before detailed explanation has linked to his youtube channel which we could throw up here In the show notes but Yeah what do you think of that? We'll see I honestly thought as soon as you said it. Use All three of those. I was like me too because I today on. Ptc Geo played against another commute three deck. That was utilizing. The chargers are the blast toys and Venus are. That's why I was asking if they were the tag teams because it was like. That's the ones that they were using That's a long line of already caught onto this then. I mean it's tough. 'cause it's like anything with like any POKEMON that they can discard with one type of energy requirement. That's like one energy in two or three colorless right. They can just come at an orange issues any of those attacks. They literally have the whole Gambit of move pool to be able to use against you and it's tough sometimes because you don't know what they like if you're not constantly looking in their discard you don't know what they have especially on. Pj Oh because you can't just grab their discount and look through and see what they have to actually go into the discard. Click in then see right because sometimes they use like Danny discard their hand. You don't get to see everything so it's it's tough but see all these uses explore yourself Personally I haven't missed too much around with me too just because it's not my my particular style of deck. Sure I I don't like the fact that your whole entire deck based on your abilities. So a mimic cue that somebody plays the damage counter on you. Heads like Glenn Six again they can place the damage counter on you and then you can't use your abilities. Which makes you rely on stealthy hood to prevent all abilities done to the expo. C'mon so it's basically negates that affect because Brennan prevents effects from Abilities Gotcha And it relies on weakness energy like the weakness card to be able to prevent a opposing U2 or an opposing a gear at Tina from like one. Shotting it out. There's just there's just so much weakness behind it and it's it's just tough because it's so powerful but at the same time it has a major weakness which is psychic bright now when these mu dex mu two decks mu three decks go up against each other does it come down just Luck of the draw and basically it's whoever can take the knockout. I it and then they have to have the response because back in the day There's basically a mute to I. Forget what said it's from But it basically you want one shot at like everybody's Muthana was like adding amount of damage times. The amount of energy is attached to the opposing pokemon and yourself right and basically if they had a mu two with two energies and you had a mutual to energies. You can knock each other out so it came down to whoever could like if you didn't have the response to then they were just GonNa win. So that's pretty much how this goes if you don't have the response. Mu Two or the The G X lattice with tag perjure. Whatever it is that prevents tag-team Pokemon from attacking U Then you're pretty much efficient water because you need one of those two cards. You need the weakness guard energy or the tag purge laddis to be able to use that attack from the discard the bench. But I don't know it's just tough 'cause there's just a lot of weakness like I said it's it takes a lot of skill to play right. I'm not saying that you know it. Just anybody can pick up the deck but there is there's a lot of luck factors involved. I think I was mainly curious as a Newbie to all this like how much shade the og trio gets. I mean obviously not charter. 'cause I mean chargers obese to we all know that but overall like this. I know Phoenix or never gets the amount of love that it deserves. there's there. There was one in shining legends. That had like the overgrowth ability that allowed each grass energy to count as two so two grass energies could eagle. It's four attack which was really handy. It allowed for a shining genocide A ton of damage but it was. It's a stage two. So it's not the best and then you had Our cheeses supporter. That you can basically bring a water pokemon from your discard onto your bench and you could just bring blast always say you can just dump all the waters from your hand So Archie is blast toys was was has always been a thing in Expanded format blasio skits. The love Char's art has the new one from I believe it's team up where you can attach To fire energies to it. But you put to damage counters on it and then for two energies it does. I think fifty plus fifty more for each energy discarded. Something like that But it's basically really powerful and the blasted powerful and then Venus urges always gets the shaft right. It always gets the short short short Straw so to speak but no I just I I have a lot of love for the Oji starters and it's nice to see them still You know kicking in tournaments. Forget and they they put them with the other starters like Kinda give him an updated feel and I love. That blast always pep tag team. It's so good. Yeah he doesn't really get a lot of love either so also you play to Pokemon. That don't get a lot of love together is not a Lotta love to to go around there. I couldn't even get love from pokemon. Go it was supposed to be Snidey Community Day this this month of March which obviously didn't happen but like they're like Nah we're we're going to change up the formula and just go another route and hold snively for later. Yeah I mean well. Everything happens for a reason and Snyder deserve to get shelf for now. Check out all the the grass type fans out there. Yes a big shout. Do Grass tight decks ever do well like has there ever been really successful grass? Dex Yeah There's been a festive McQueen. Which had the vs in it. That when you evolved into like flurry on your stage one was a fire type and if he was not on stage. One is a lightening type. before you on their water so you could make some crazy with that And I forget what it was. I think it's the amount of Pokemon that were in your discard it like ten damage plus ten more for each pokemon you discard but then utilize the type advantage. Gotcha UM in their speed drill. I don't exactly remember how that went but it was like every Bijal and play. It did like forty forty or fifty damage. Something like that. It was enough to take pretty much a knockout. As long as you got all four out and back then you had like a grass stadium that Forget what forget what it's called but it allows you to evolve that same turn. C- could go wheedle. Cocoon be drill. We look at Kuna Bijal so you could just search them out right and just get them really really quickly. There has been and right now Relevance doing really good you do Shirlow layout executor with Rowlett and then you just basically use its first energy list attack to search for the boom because it just allows you to evolve just like that you go Rookie whacky relevant for no energies. It's Kinda Nice and then you just utilize a bunch of different Grass type POKEMON that can attack and utilize those energies right. Well maybe Twenty twenty one will be the year of the grass type. I hope because you were going to be twenty twenty. No it's not just got. Yeah I think the elimination of the ferry type and the like the whole shift of tapings the weaknesses and stuff. I think it's GonNa make the game more balanced. I'm already seeing it It's it's exciting. I'm excited good all right but let's dig into this. The Twenty Twenty Championship series has been canceled. So just the highlights essentially are that you know. They're concerned with the health and safety of the players. The community I think it's the right step Harper's I think everything they're doing here is amazing. It is the best step so just key points here. Your points from the twenty twenty season will roll over so anything that I've earned so far. We'll just go into next season. That's big are you off the bat. Like that's the best move that could make for this now with that being said I hope fingers crossed that they do not increase the points needed. Because that would just be super annoying Gotcha at like counting like a season and a half essentially right like oh you need six fifty points to get in like yes but some people already like you win regionals or whatever you've got tons of points already you win an internationals you've got your world's invite basically right so it's like some people weren't even there. Yeah and it said all the League's the Club's pre releases all basically all the events have been tabled for now. Yeah In it's like you know how will pre releases happen? I did read an article on the website talking about you know the pre releases and said basically the stores the local stores will have them. And you'll be able to pick them up. Just it's you know it's a it basically said you know. Follow your guidelines. Like if you can't be out don't go out and get them right right so it'd be releasing the cards. Yeah so they're just essentially they're not they're just not having pre-release tournaments which is sad. Yeah it's very sad but we're here we're here and we're doing what we can you know if we if we can't help it you know and you're able to go out get sound right but But things to do while you wait this was gonna be my question of the week. Adam is you know. A lot of people are just stuck indoors You know other than like going out for walks or go into the store. Whatever like you can't like hang out with friends and play pokemon. You can't go to tournaments. You can't practice like how our people supposed to continue working and practicing this card game without being held in where Pokemon they they get a huge push for the PTO You know so if you don't have code cards like I think more people than ever will be turning to the PD CDL. Not Everybody plays it like I know. My brother was was playing it for a little while. And then he just completely cold Turkey. Stop. He's the only interaction. Pokemon is like me and sometimes go into a league challenge right so it'll be tough and just to quickly jump back to the pre releases they will be in stores. April eighteenth as far as your local shops. They're going to be allowed to be selling them early so just April eighteenth is the date. That's obviously dependent on if your local shops are allowed to be open correct. Yeah I think. Mine's basically just opened for curbside pickup. That's it which is cool that they're still open. Sure but sad that you can't go in and like look at singles right I understand why and everything but But like again things you can do very While you wait. Pto Joe becomes more prevalent. you can join remote tournaments. You can join there like pickup tournaments just straight on PTO and just challenge yourself like take one deck and you know you play your matches and see if you win and if you do win tag us in that picture take a screen shot tag says. Send it to us. Let us know how you did. Listener decky used. We would definitely love to hear that her. See it There is a a massive tournament going on or going to be going on. It's a series put on by limitless A ton of content creators are GONNA be sponsoring this. It's called the limitless invitational okay. I'm just here's a little blurb from their their website said we designed a tournament circuit to bring the Pokemon community together for an online showdown during the corona induced tournament break. It will consist of four free to play qualifiers open. Everyone each one of them will be brought to you by a unique sponsor feature a prize pool provided by given sponsor and a word limitless points equals who are regional championship for the final invitational. All sponsors come together and provide a combined price bowl. The top twelve players that managed earn the most points at the qualifiers and for content creators. Chosen through an online voting will be invited to fight for grant great prizes and Custom Promo Cards. Which that's fantastic. Yeah I'm so excited. I'm so stoked I've already got my battle fly Little created the counter whenever I needed to do But you do need to sign up with like you're in game name your you have to join discord And then you also have to provide a checklist and you can't change it throughout the tournament so you have to have your necklace ready to go in like send it to your opponent so they can make sure that you're not cheating. Okay now okay so I think I might have missed something here is this a PC T. G. O. tournament or is it a okay. Yep It's not an physical car tournament skype in or something like that correct and because because it's online because they're trying to there there's no limit they're trying to make sure that they have You know the it done in a timely manner. So they're doing like I think twenty five minute rounds like I said you have to present your necklace to your opponent. So if they did see that like. Oh you played. A charges are in your new box deck. But you don't actually play in your deck list like then you bring it up to judge you take a screen shot and you let them know you say. There's a discrepancy in the deck list They're doing their best and they yeah and they can't. You can't a tie. Which is why they said. Twenty twenty five minutes is the timer. Okay and that that prevents any slow playing that prevents any Mill decks basically Because they'd have to win within that time there's no ties you gain nothing from that right and I'll have the description and everything like the Lincoln everything which gives you all the details from top to bottom in the description of the podcast so please check that out. 'cause I'd love to see you guys there. I'm hardcore fish. Hard core fish like the POKEMON and I. I JUST. I'M GONNA have a lot of fun. When does IT START I believe the first one starts on April fourth. Oh so a couple of days. Yes which ironically is my son's first day Back to school or supposed to be. I don't know how that's going to work late. April fourth. Oh May fourth no hold on. Give me one second. I'm like April. Fourth is like A. That'd be Sunday Saturday. He shouldn't in school. On April fourth through fifth is qualifier one qualified to qualify to is April eighteenth through nineteenth qualify three may second through third and qualifier. Four is I believe may sixteenth through the seventeenth. Okay so the spreading it out nicely. Yeah No. It's it's awesome so this is coming up so I I hope this gets out really fast and I hope you're able to join in because there's going to be a lot of fun. I'll probably bring dark box. It's the only thing I really got where I could bring a blast always. I don't know I don't know what I WANNA do but sure I just know I'm GonNa have fun so I'd like to see you guys do it and join us in. Maybe Josh Johnson. Maybe maybe maybe is it tough for people that are that. Don't play online. That only play. You know the physical game to recreate their deck online. Sometimes like if you don't have hundreds of packs to be able to swap over for the cards you don't have like me right now. I'm playing a A toxic Croak area though stick with quilt fish. Basically it's it's all about special conditions. So basically they hit microfiche their poisoned. And then I have. You Know My for toxic folks on the bench. You're GonNa take ninety damage or eighty damage. Take Yeah Yeah so you take eighty damage plus the ten. So I think it's ninety. Thank you dig ninety damages for hit me and then I come up with another quo. Fish does Sixty plus ten if our ten plus sixty if your poison and then your then you take even more damage. It's fun I haven't been I haven't won too many but once I get somebody like asleep. And they've flipped tales. I get very frustrated. And they leave and it would be a lot better if the the new double colas type energy comes out because then I'll be able to attack with toxic Because right now he's just literally just sits there sure so it's Kinda lame basically. I think this would work much better if I had the the new flap bullets coming out because I believe on. Let me look the pre-release. Yeah it's one of the release cards. It's a stage one it has. Adhd says wanting attorney may put to damage counters on one of your opponents pokemon if you place damage counters in this way you shuffle this pokemon cards attach back into your deck just keep continuously placing damage counters and poisoning. She technically don't really need to attack. But you can sure then it's GonNa to two cutlass attack for sixty damage. Hope acquaint heads discarding energy from your points pokemon. So that is GonNa be a Lotta Fun. I sound of it yeah. I don't know I'm just working on crazy stuff. Sure why not. You know exactly. Why not all right? So we're going to move on to pick up a food week but I did happen to actually When thanks so Do they have a date of win? The next season will officially start. Like they don't know yet okay. So it's not that saw. It was just kind of like you know. We're sorry you know for the inconvenience but your players safeties number one priority. Right did they will be back 'cause it was supposed to be in. London this year right yes. I believe it's still going to be in London. Okay so that's just all just gonNA get pushed into. Yeah okay that's cool. I just didn't know if they had set. Expectations is to win. Everything will start back up or whatnot so now yeah not that. I'm aware of like everything else in this world right right exactly so so. The Tag Team Powers Collection Box came out on March twenty seventh. I haven't been out so I didn't realize these were out. Yeah I had no idea so. Poke Adad Rick Shoutout to Polka Dad's He had messaged me and showed me the dark. Rye Umbrian and he knows how much I love. Dark Ryan Umbrian. He message me. He was like Yo. You need this I got you. I need that so He hooked me up with that so I don't need to spend fifty dollars to to get the entire box onto fifty dollar box. It is it comes with Deok's SPN Jacks are tagging. It comes to the full art. Evey Jacks and it comes to the random TORTUGA G X what super super random like almost like why are the why is that even I can understand the because it goes with the espionage Umbrian but the Tortuga nothing correlates to that that's funny it is and so basically there's two different boxes the only difference being jumbo card in the back you do get Cosmic ECLIPSE Lost Storm cosmic eclipse. You get two of those you get to shield and sword and then you get one sun and moon and one. Generations are evolutions. 'cause you can't you can't have a box of that evolutions right AM I. Right can get high. Five Asi is right. Yeah and so just yeah. That's all the stuff that's in there. And then obviously you get the code card for all that cool stuff that you can get right on but I only cared about. You know dark right so yeah but that the Oxus and SPN Cardi's. Yeah no it like. The artwork on both of them are phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal crazy. Did you pick up anything? No no and I it's I haven't When I go to the store for groceries like I have not thinking pokemon cards. I'm thinking how I can't tell I. Don't WanNa touch anything sleeve for everything right to be honest. I've used at like I've taken a different sweat shirt or jacket every single time. I've gone out sure. Yeah I'm wondering and I I feel weird about wearing like frivolous stuff online. Also like you know the people delivering packages and mail. Like I understand like you need essentials in you need food and whatnot and like the people delivering that stuff you know doing. God's work out there great. Yeah but like it feels weird to see here in order pokemon cards online and be like. I can't leave the house but I can make somebody. Bring me some book on cards. Yup yeah either word. Feeling so yeah. I've had a couple POKEMON cards in my car and I'm like I really want to but I can't like my I haven't bought anything. It's so weird like I was at the store and I went grocery shopping. I just I was looking at the cards and I did. Buy The three pack blister and like like. I knew that like I needed that. For instance booster for gotTa Watch Mall and stuff so right it was it was that was a necessity but with groceries. I went out for groceries. So it's but it's like I didn't really WANNA buy them. I like at a hard time. I was like I need these. I have to do this but I just didn't WANNA buy him. Yeah it was a weird feeling. I've never felt that way is weird. Maybe next next week next time we do this podcast. I'll have a packer to open and make up for it. But I'm just Kinda just you know trying to be smart about things and try to be. You know mindful of things going on but we'll see okay all right. Well you have a question. Well every my question was like other than you know this school tournament you you brought up playing online like. Are there any other suggestions? You would have for people that want to play the card game in. Want to keep practicing or want to work on decks. That don't necessarily want to do it. You know on the online game. I'm glad you asked that Skype discord calls facetime Zoom calls anything that you can allow yourself to get a clear visual of their board and your board I think would like and then just play your friends. I mean I would love to do that. Yeah if you're playing your friends. You shouldn't be too worried about them cheating pulling one over on ener exactly. Yeah and I think that you know in this time right now. I think we all need our friend And we should be there for our friends so if you have time if you WANNA play a game call up your friend call. Benham maybe call it me. Cinema message plays somebody I bet. Yeah I definitely would you know. I'll just obviously set my laptop. Pretty high you know. Have it faced my board and we'll get. I have another camera. I'll we'll make something work even if even if we do like over it live on instagram. Something we'll make it work. Are there any websites that you know of or absolutely thing that are like simulators like you put in your deck and you could like pick from a variety of like well known decks and have it like run simulation against it and see how it fares by up like? I basically do that with myself. Okay don't make fun of me. Well no I mean if you appear that was just like running. Here's a hundred matches against this type of deck. How would you do? We'll listen. I've been down on myself. I the next set. Rebel clash has Bolton Appleton V. And I put together a deck from a list of I saw online and from like a winning list from Japan. And it's brutal. It plays no stadium no special energies and no toll cards it has four supporters. It's got the Professor Magnolia and it's got like four Pokemon Catcher for electro-magnetic radar. Like everything is fours and then for Pokemon it's like the Tapa Cocoa Prison Star One. Ray caused two zero x three today and then four. Bolton and it does tend to average plus thirty each Lightning energy attached to all your pokemon and so basically. If you're opening hand you have five energies. You can discard them. All with denny US like electric magnetic radar goaded. It any discard them. And let's say you go second and then you can attach to your Zehra than attach uses Touch all five of those. And then next turn you know. You've got free retreat. Because you have the light energy you retreat bring out the Bolton tach you can discard two more. Us TAP ROCOCO PRISM ALL OF A SUDDEN. You've got like eight energies on board to fifty. That's a it's brutal and then and then you run four of the Electro powers so those can also add up the multiples of thirty. So you could be doing that to fifty but you need to knockout sets to seventy boom dead MS brutal. It's in it's like so consistent right and that's what scares me is like I was practicing my deck and no matter what I did even if I was turned two using dark moon to stop them from playing any items they could still use. Bolton's first attack search their deck to leading energies in touch him to your pokemon. Anyway like so. It's like cool. You attach one but you got two more already doing ninety extra damage next. Turn like it's it's just it's brutal. It's fast and the only thing that I can tell. That could stop it. Is You taking a loss of prize? And then having a fighting dough. Joe and any fighting. Pokemon that does Hundred like you can make the math work for one hundred damage because then you do times. Obviously for two hundred damage right. Knock it out and it's just it's weird because any tag team. Basically their attacks do one fifty. So then you've got Bolton with two hundred and you can't snipe it with dark is second ability to it does sixty damage to a Benji ex. It's it's kind of a nightmare. Sure thirty something naked counter it. Yeah there will be but it's just it's like out I I have all I could do to stop it. So guys be aware Bolton v get them while you can. It's a kind of puts Like her not. Rhetoric is Zack round. Peak around to shame right. Just how quick and consistent is all right guys so we're GonNa take a quick break. How many catch my breath from being all excited about Bolton and we'll be right back all right guys thank you so much for that break just a little housekeeping real quick before we keep going on this. Erica is unified rule. Oh Gosh I don't know if it is I I know the secret raise from unified minds UNIV- defined mines. Yeah sure sure okay. So it's an item card so you could just play it. Willy Nilly says your opponents shuffles their hand into their deck and draws a card for each of the remaining prize cards. Why is that a good thing because if your opponent has two hundred cards in their hand because they've drawn a million times exertion feasability well hopefully cards in their hand at them. That would be illegal. Yeah I know game loss. It's a big deck. Okay okay okay. Different rules different times. Who knows what they're doing on the Internet. These days leaves you know well. Basically we're we're battling you know if it comes down to the wire I've got one prize. You've got one prize. I've got like five cards in my hand and top deck this You're saying to yourself man. I've got all the cards I need to win next. Turn and then I play reset stamp. And you're like man. I just lost all the cards I needed to win this route. And sometimes it's like you need the energy you need the support. You need the item card and if I get rid of one of those pieces you don't win right or if you you need the Pokemon catcher the great catcher the double custom catcher but I just shuffled your hand in and you lost it. It's completely turns around the game. Then it puts it more. My favorite buys me a turn and then next turn. I can. I can win the game. It's a it's a really good car to have towards the end like as like you're battling for that that last prize and it's it's hard because like you really only want one in the deck 'cause not technically that great you know starting out the game let me just reset stamp your hand of six to sex and then potentially you could shuffle. Their hand in it was dead. There was no supporter. No Energies Ryan all of a sudden. They have all the cards they need. Which is why. Marnie gives me a lot of anxiety when I use it. 'cause I'm like okay? He just put all his cards at the bottom and just drew for new ones I prefer reset stamp over Marnie but I still play Marnie. It's it's a weird thing that goes on brain but effectively. I put these like three little notes. You know it has a secret rare in unified minds it old-guard oh no I know right. Hashtag FLEXTECH It's banned in the expanded format. Why is that? I don't know okay. I would assume because and is already a thing that shuffles both players hands and their declan. You draw that many for their price cards so it's supporter and then you would do an item. I. I'm pretty sure you can manipulate prizes. Like turn one and then be able to use that. Turn One while. Just keep going. I think it just it. It's not good for the game in expanded because there's just so many crazy plays you can make with it sure because you can I believe he can take. Yeah you can take your own prices with Miss Mischievous right now so like you could. You could do it in a standard too but like play for dust tones of deforms mismanage. As-as take four knockouts and then Play reset stamp and your opponents down to two prizes or two cards in their hand and two prizes left so I mean it's the I don't know I just as simple answer. I don't know why it's banned but I'm pretty sure it just makes the game balance sure but it has the potential to win you games by your opponent like deadline so if they needed a certain evolution and they're just drawing into another energy and can't do anything more That kind of can win you. Games and yeah. That's pretty much all I got. So you'd only recommend one in your your deck. I'd say most ex should carry one if you're not planning anything like Mardi 'cause your opponent. I've noticed this on. Pto Look like in my special conditions deck. If I don't if I don't have Marnie in their their hand just gets out of hand guiding you need to be able to you know 'cause like if they if they're going to have the double custom catcher and like have that plan ready or the switch and it's like no. Let's just shovel all those down and draw four new ones If you don't have anything to manage their hand it's it's it's tough to keep going 'cause they'll always have the answer to whatever you do and this just takes answer away Okay yeah good to know and so at that ladies and gentlemen I believe that's a show. Yeah short little episode this week to have a career long I do have code. Adam let me see here stack codes sitting right here Let's see I have to adhere to Sword Shield codes? How about that all right? That works. Okay I One X. C. W. P. Seven K C v G N D W D then. Second ONE IS K. T. P. D. T. R. P. P. Seven six six. T P so. Good luck everybody. Introducing AMS on the Air Live at the 2020 Annual Meeting!
"Welcome to ams on the air. I'm Dakota Smith I'm Jeff Rosenfeld and I am I mean sense where here's podcast all things weather water and climate so welcome we are doing. Ams on the Air Life in Ams Twenty Twenty Centennial in Boston Ams Headquarter at so. We're really excited to be here. You just stop by. We are in the first level in the Convention Center. Come visit US come. Say Hi come give us your suggestions. You can follow us all throughout this weekend of course always send social media and you can get updates there and we'll be recording interviews life up putting the feet so run lunchtime our Sunday Monday Tuesday. Wednesday is day. We'll have two to four interviews on Sunday. It's twelve forty five to one forty five Monday. It's twelve thirty to one thirty and then Tuesday Wednesday it's twelve fifteen to one one fifteen and we'll have a variety of guests and I'm really excited I think you guys are to be really easy to find. We're right near the registration desk practically and So as you come by and you think of a question while we're interviewing somebody let us know at the end of the interview. We'll probably have time to ask the question. This is interactive. Yeah Yeah live interaction. Yeah No. That's the fun part about interviewing we've got so many really interesting people lined up to actually interview It'll be fun. Not only to hear. Hear what they say but just to get an overview. What's going on at the meeting because I challenge anyone to try and figure out an overview of a meeting that's got let's see two thousand seven hundred ninety two last check? That's that's the number of talks and then another fifteen hundred poster art. That's got his from starting to call you out there. I did my homework. Let Yeah me districts this is. I've seen only about twenty-five annual meetings but I would say this is the most impressive one I've seen in terms of what's on offer. There's so many topics this year that fresh or just rapidly emerging topics. There's so many topics that are amazingly insightful overviews of history. And what that means I today lots of talk about future technology technology. That's just completely changed in the last few years. I I've never seen a program like this There's so many sessions. I know its annual meeting week when your calendar keep saying but no you have a commitment at that hour like just shove it in there anyway. Because I want appointments at the same time. You'RE GONNA be a lot of people to see a lot of people to talk to but Just listening to what's going on it's going to be really really impressive. And if you're not at the annual meeting you can hear a little bit about it the taste of sort of the breadth of topics in our interviews. I hope and then then go. Listen to the presentations when they're online a few weeks later. That's another great service. AMS provides but if you're here you're just going to be overwhelmed really fast it's GonNa feel great. Yes all comment on the stuff we're going to be publishing in the feed Will every day. We'll we'll basically put out the interviews that we did basically on edited edited. It's going to be pretty for all sorts of different than what we've done in the past where it's been edited? And then we're also going to be doing some long-form interviews sort Lord behind the scenes that will also be in the feed later this year. Sort of what we've done in the past so a lot. We're doing a lot this year. The probably the biggest. We've Don for podcasting. Ams and really exciting and hopefully we'll have voices by the end of the week you'll hear the sound effects in the background. Yeah it was a dog walking dog walking by there are some beeping. Perhaps but hey we're all here in good faith and we're all here to learn from each other and just to to put our best effort to keep advancing disci- one of the ways. AM SS advancing. The science actually is not only. Are we bringing dogs to the conference. But we're bringing cats this year for the first time so if you don't WanNa know what an MS cat is. That's another reason to look for the Amos cat ribbons and ask them. Why are you a cat? Is this real. This is real. It's totally real category. Thank you No not a hurricane start with that don't know. PTSD they don't know. Ems has new cat program so proud certify ams teacher well yeah that's UH watch for their ribbons but only listeners of the podcast know that now this is breaking news for me. This is nice little. It's exciting and it's about time because teachers have been one of the most it's exciting parts of the MS meeting for many many years. In fact I remember the first year that the teachers were introduced into the structure of the meeting and had their conferences here and people were just wowed by how enthusiastic they are. They're still amazing. And we've got weather fest this year again on Sunday. Love whether yeah people are GonNa be coming in from all over the Boston area and a lot of the teachers take part in that and They're going to do live demonstrations of various ways they teach Instead of having regular talks we're GONNA have session where they're just flat out show what they do in the classroom. So those are the cats but you gotta be certified. Can't yeah okay all right so certified right cats. We've got a lot of acronyms this week. Actually so part of the fun going through the program is just figuring out what those acronyms mean a lot of new ones especially with the machine. Gene learning big data. I think I've learned quite a few acronyms going through the program. This year that I didn't know so it's not meteorologist. There's not an acronym one one acronym that I think we have to bring up his links. We'll hold on a second. We were talking about cats right. So now you're saying links L. Wyan not not a feline no L. I. N. K. S. it's the theme of Ms Twenty Twenty. The full theme is the AMS past present and future linking information to knowledge to society eighty. So we have to mention that the theme President Jenny Evans came up with that. I'm pretty sure. And if she didn't she is responsible for making sure it's our acronym acronym because it's pretty cool and every year. This is another thing every year. Of course there is some sort of theme for the meeting and it's always hard to say exactly If every paper or a presentation fits. It doesn't really matter but this this is pretty broad own compensating. But because it's the centennial meeting. This is the one hundredth meeting right. So does that makes people feel so young and be so old. This is pretty cool. I think the acronym past present future and then the acronym for the subtitle of that Theme Talks Salat to not only linking What what researchers are doing to what society is benefiting from and in fact? I just put a plug. There was actually a presentation on Monday about this whole question of what's the value of knowledge and research gives us in the value according to that presentation is about what people do with the the information in society. So if it's not actionable information some people would consider not valuable baby. That's inside. I think that the idea of linking across from Research all the way to society is the same way we're linking from past to future all at the same time. So it's a very centennial appropriate theme so that's a that brings up a good the point if so I'm Gonna I'm GonNa ask the question And then I'll answer it myself so I can give you guys some time to respond if there's talk that you're most excited for at ams twenty twenty what is it. So I'll go I give you a little time to think about it and Jeff. You recommend this to me and it's mytalk now so this is on Wednesday eh at nine. Am It's the title is what follows goes are. I am addicted to satellite imagery. I satellite loops. Basically basically all the time twenty four seven when. I'm not On my downtime. That's what I do and so I like. I haven't even thought about this just because we're getting used to the a resolution that we have now and when Jeff told me others tacos like oh my gosh what is next like what. It's it's hard to fathom. I'm what more we could add. Even though there's so much more we can add the science. That's my talk it's Yes on Wednesday at nine. AM and I'm really excited for next. Well what would you like to see next. Have you ever even imagined or thought about like. I don't know if they get anything in an aside alight I think maybe if they can add like a dimension to it because right now let's go to D.. I don't know if that's impossible like I don't even how. How would you do that? You you probably need like multiple satellites different angles. Yeah they have some techniques to make three D ish But thirty yeah so I don the lightning stuff. It's probably honestly something that's probably GonNa be next as a feature that will measure that we didn't think about because like lightning was a big addition The the stationary lightning MAPRA was huge. Addition to our the goes R yeah And then obviously we got the one minute data now so maybe maybe like just higher resolution maybe like We can get thirty second data right now. When we combine? Both satellites goes sixteen seventeen but maybe like second imagery like could you imagine looking at. I'm not sure how much value that adds to the science. I actually don't know it might. Maybe it does. Maybe but it makes it better. uh-huh twitter to increase two hundred eighty characters and twenty five gigabytes per image. Yeah exactly yeah megabytes renounced. I'm personally looking forward to the space weather. The space weather conference. I mean I. I worked for a central Florida's new station so space weather. You think about how that can affect us all in I. I don't really think about it that much but when I do Kinda like can affect everything that we do we can affect our communications. It can affect your gifts. It can affect the satellite so space weather just has me so intrigued. Yeah I mean if you're an astronaut but also if you live on earth and all Bob everything that we don't know yet yeah when you when you mentioned The satellite. What's coming next? And he goes geostationary. This isn't really strictly related or limited to geostationary but one of the things that looks really intriguing with the whole sweetest satellites as all these cubesats that are now proving themselves in a lot of the talks this week just about how good are they. Can they replace some of the world or augment some of the instruments. That are already up on the big platforms. I I like the idea that that satellites can become adaptive observing systems. We're like you get that resolution. You're talking about that on the you know higher temporal or higher spatial resolution when you need it and you can move satellites around somehow control. Roll them in different ways so that you can swarm them where you need them when you need them as opposed to something like that. That's that sounds like something out of a marvel movie. Yeah well man changing his lights too. I just like the idea that they could do so much more. If you can have three or four satellites to do the same thing same time then you can move around different places in different ways. Different orbits that kind of thing sounds cool. But I'm just guessing. I just think that what's really going to be interesting about. is they're not going to be talking about just the same old kinds of satellites but lots of little satellites augmenting big satellites and working together in a network kind of ways so that. I'm literally looking forward of that presentation. Like like you said also There's some really interesting once about communicating about climate science. That sound really interesting about building. Bridges between people who use news climate information and people who produce it. I'm really excited about The whole attribution community and what they can do to Figure figure out how much climate change is a part of the causes of various events and especially extremes like hurricanes and things which is right now is really a tough one but there've been new papers that are sort of edging that direction so the idea that you can do that kind of work like a modeling studies like that week a week after the event instead of or during the event even instead of waiting months for the results. So those kinds of things look interesting. And I'm also I'm really interested to in this idea that in the hydrological community when you're managing Rivers and dams especially out in the West Coast But just all in all in all instead of trying to manage them based on the information of say how much water in the reservoir or maybe how much snow just fell and and when it's going to melt actually start talking about managed on the basis of forecasts that go out and one of the things. That's really intriguing this week I think why is there. There are papers about Dick Adl forecasts on many more papers on that and I thought in the past you might see sort of brought up been dismissed now. There are a lot of serious papers on what the decade will forecast GonNa look like and who needs it. And how are we going to develop a mind blowing stuff and I think a lot of that has to do with whether machine learning can get there faster than modeling can get there and that's another theme this year. That's just amazing. How many places where researchers are finding the machine learning can do the job instead of a physical model so I may be stating that a little bit incorrectly? But the gist. That is still pretty mind blowing so one thing. I mentioned that I'm excited for not sign a particular talk poster sessions This student one is tomorrow. Oh I believe late afternoon early evening. Yes sorry Sunday I should say Sunday and then throughout the week. They'll have poster sessions basically every every evening SORTA late afternoon. And don't hold me to this but I'm going to try to go around in record some interviews with people presenting their posters sort of ambush them while they're giving their AH presentations. Don't give it away now. Bush I'm just trying to tease. Guess if you're listening now watch out. I'm out there becoming But but hopefully we can turn that into something for those that Either missed the session that they wanted to go to. Mr Poster confined it or are not at the meeting. I bring you some of that research as well. Because there's so much I mean there's hundreds of posters and just so many interesting things going on it's impossible to get to. All of them are even half of Tom. Poster sessions number in the attendance for this conference. Oh Yeah we're edging well over five thousand. I think we're GONNA hit six thousand Franken's correct. Maybe I'm in office. Two thousand almost two thousand more than our previous ran. We're just just hopping with people here and and that just means more presentations but it also means the most important part of the whole meeting is not going to the presentations. Ironically after all that talking sorry to disappoint the the most important thing in the whole meeting other than the fact that Committees are getting together and talking about really interesting things in smaller rooms. I just think bumping coming into people in the hallway saying talking to people who are looking at the same poster and ask him questions finding out. What's going on how you can collaborate with people where the jobs are where the fun topics are where the opportunities are that? That's just catching up with France. Right I mean you guys have lots of friends. I know 'cause you keep bumping being in the people and then you don't even say hello you walk right by now. You're busy right and you're busy with talking to France. So that's really what this week is for big the big reunion. And that's that's a wonderful part about this conferences. I love coming to Conferences Broadcasting Conference that the annual conference Can you can make so many connections you can reinforce the connections you had you already have. I mean you learn so much and it can be from. I'm a hallway talk from presentation so so if you're not here you get on the get under social aspect Hashtag. Ams Twenty Twenty You can find a lot of what's going on there and yes it. Presentations will be recorded. So that's wonderful part keep your footprint carbon and footprint low till you know another thing of it. This podcast wouldn't have happened without the conference. 'CAUSE I at both of you at AAH mess. I don't know which one Seattle I think Adam. Yeah I remember. I sat next to some random dinner. Oh wasn't pre-arranged idea. You know what what you look like or anything so and then I was like you know what he mentioned. Have A podcast. I'm pretty sure that's exactly what I said. That was exactly. Yeah I said who are you. House right yeah. But that also a didn't happen at the conference itself right. We were at a restaurant. Dr Where people say. Let's go out and get together and that's that's nothing like this whole neighborhood whether they like it or not where here the cannolis. Keep your hands up so starting Sunday January twelfth you are you can watch out for interviews and get those notifications turned on your phone so you can listen to them right away or into them when you know you're heading back to your hotel room or or if you're trying to catch up with everything that's going on here among six thousand people and then after the conference will have so much so much content to share here with you. All sort of daunting. It's very exciting at the same time. So and it'll keep coming across the year to hit well all right and so I'm Jefferson. I'm happy weather conferencing happy weather
#39 - The Astrology of September - It has Begun
"A. Moment. Start seeing people jump on which means they've been notified, which is Great. So we'll give everyone is again hello. Hello. Hi, everyone. Welcome. We're going to try to guess you more of you. All happy marriage yes. Yes. Well I want to be the first to introduce the only to introduce onto the podcast. My wonderful husband tired golden welcome. and. We're here and we're married. To say anything we did it. We did it. Yup, we got married and so we're here to at thanks everyone for the congratulations and thank you for. Welcome. To the Mrs Club I know Mrs. which is totally crazy. Thank you all for the love and the congratulations. It honestly means so much to both of us and we're thrilled. Yes. Thank you. Yeah is there anything you want to say we're getting started before we start talking about the astrology of September Twenty Twenty Tarak and uses speak a bit loud so they can hear you. Watch women to speak about. Do you WanNa say anything about what it feels to be a husband Yeah Yeah sides. It's Nice my first time and. It's good. It's really nice working nice time. Yeah. Very look together considering the I'm from the UK. Yeah. We call it. My mom calls it love in the time of coal. Head. So. It's been kind of a rocky. Journey being able to be together and finally and. Beat together but it's you know love is stronger than a notion. It's stronger than a pandemic. It's stronger than a twenty twenty. and. Yeah when I first met tired actually I thought. Well, this is silly there's no reason for me to try to talk him he's in the UK and someone said to me love is Won't hold like the Atlantic Ocean won't hold love back in a love is stronger than the Atlantic Ocean and I thought. All right. Screw it so I tried it and there you go. We're together all. This time later sounds crazy because we on the the clips Wilson Threes? Ago. How that's played out. So yeah. To save ago. It's the flood to yeah. Well, we don't have to share too much except to say, thank you everyone for your amazing support on our journey together, and we're really hoping to work more and more together as we move Florida's has been in life. And team up as astrologers to not just talk about astrology but to talk about relationships and astrology, which is something. We've you know we've really learned a lot about during our relationship like we've learned a lot of skills tools along the way and I've talked about this on the podcast before and an instagram with all of you in the community is there's a lot of challenges. We all face as couples in there some that we've changed, of course. Face as a couple ourselves, but we've used so many tools. So many things to learn about each other and to grow together and to get through the rocky times in the Rocky Times that will continue to unfold because that's relationships and we want to be able to share a lot of that with all of you as well. Because you know we have some tools to offer. So anyway, we know astrology we have tools around relationships and those are some things we're GONNA WANNA share with all of you here. So stay tuned for all of that. So any last thing, you want to say my love. I liked what you said about Levin stronger than the reality because obviously you know we're all. Living through. Very crazy. And I think we need. We need to remember who we love. What love is and and just a very important thing solo wanted to say yeah yeah. And to trust love I think that's something that's taken us quite a few years to get to just to trust that you know when you love someone you love someone right so. But fears and programs, and all of the things come in actually this is a really good segue into the astrology of September, and this is something that we've been talking about actually this these last few weeks together as a partnership is the vibration of love versus fear, and that's really what this war of twenty twenty is really a bowel and one of the things we've discussed in Parkas really skilled at this and you know I'd like him to speak more about it because of that but. There's like vibrations in life right and. The easiest vibrations to access very often is fear right? That's like the easiest vibe to immediately grab onto to watch a movie or watch on TV scream and and. Grab into fear to meet somebody in immediately choose judgments or immediately put someone into a certain category because that's just like human nature at survival. But to move past fear into the vibrational love is actually a really profound skill a really important muscle to develop. So. One of the things tar has been teaching me especially in the last few weeks because we've had to see some family members and some people who don't necessarily see what's going on in the world, the way I do or even the way tired does but how to take out my immediate reaction of anger and judgments which is very insistent right now like fucker you. Talk about how do you see what's going on the world from this perspective? That's like totally insane to me and to move actually pass that to the vibration of love is a practice and we've been with family and family friends who certainly see the world differently than myself I don't speak on behalf of Tarek and what I've watched her do is he's just asked more questions. So to. To not only to hit critical thinking, which is not saying, we'll I know what's going on right now you don't because that's immediately going to feed at that lower vibration of fear anger judgment all of those things but then actually ask questions and be genuinely curious about the answer because that achieves two things one it engages with another individual from a pretty sincere place of I wanna know how you see what's going on I. WanNa. Know how? You feel about what's going on at the first point the second is you actually do learn about the person, and so you you fight past the fear in judgment and the anger and you lift up to the vibration of love and that's actually been like a huge huge point of our conversations the last few weeks, and certainly as part of what we need to cultivate moving through the the battle of the gods which is taking place here. Real soon in September, it begins. So desert anything you want to say about that. just you. Please Anaya right just just just to put into context. Eugeniusz say just so Obviously being respectful and being Conscientious about what we say and what we think. Obviously, for me being a Brit, I'm an outsider in terms. This whole debate going on at the moment with left right trump biden, which is obviously a huge topic right now in this country for me personally I feel really blessed be getting an insider perspective on it because if I speak to this my British friends than the not as emotionally attached to. The more that I kind of find out how important is to the to the too many people Americans. For example, you know many people we spoke to democratic. And Republicans. It's like there's a real. Lights in the blood almost it's like this is so important to me. Him wins the I never understood how politics or the outcome of this. Obviously even as you know it's very, very obvious that America is such an important country in the world that the the outcome is obviously important. However, I could get into an observational point of view and say whatever outcome as things are still going to happen. But still the point we're making here is like what's called the? Outside perspective for me being an inside an insider perspective being outside. I can actually approach it less emotional and I could be more curious about it therefore, maybe I could be either. Bold enough. All stupid enough to ask questions which people might not do because it says sensitive if you see what I mean. So just just if you could approach it like say if you if you were in Britain right now and you're talking about politics and they might not be the same. If you say it's it's very geographically sensitive. So the vessel was trying to say I think. that. But also that something that we've talked a lot about too because tension is so fraught in this country right now in probably around the world as it should be because there's so much changing. What we've been discussing a lot is, how do we maintain the vibration of love like we don't have to like everyone and that's what disturbance amount we don't have to agree with every single personally meet and be like, okay. I really see were coming from politically and socially economically whatever because some of it is just total hog wash and that's where discernment comes in but at the same time to to live at the frequency of love. It takes cultivation in it takes effort and it's not actually easy to get to. So let's say we get in a fight with our family member over politics, for example. It's really easy to just like that mother fucker that stupid. And then to come back into a softer place, but that lifts us up to love where. We try to remember. The thing that bus through our hearts and allows us to warn syllabi connected especially to family especially to blood to. Partners, friends and whatnot like that is a lot of. Effort doesn't come naturally to just choose love and one of the things I know I'm observing this year especially, but I think it's GonNa get amplified in September is a lot of people are not connecting with each other right now. So I know a lot of people aren't talking to as many friends as they typically do. Maybe that's not really cause of Kobe that's because of survival. Well. I'm going to man up I'm going to build my I'm going to build my draw my bridge and I'm going to protect my own and I don't really have time for anyone else right now and I think there's actually something legitimate invalid in that because as we look at the astrology moving into September. Kind of do need a draw your your poll Bridgeton link. Get Ready. But at the same time I think that we're so easily swayed by the vibration of fear right now and survival. Baser instincts emotion. That it's really hard to remember to connect to those who are really close friends like just a year ago because maybe they see the world politically different than us and our you for no masks person that's made a massive divide and one of the things of course, we always talk about two or I've certainly talked about what a beautiful tactic. Divide and conquer is. Right like. That's not an unheard tactic. Everyone is heard divide and conquer because it fucking works and we're noticing that as individuals the division in its it's. On lots and lots of levels. So how do we don't necessarily have to be connected to all of our friends the way we were last year but how do we also remember to stay in the vibration of love because I know for myself? I've found it really easy to be like fuck that for folks. Like I know don't because it's so south noted Sagittarius and what did during the celebration of our wedding this week where it was a time to celebrate but it's a really weird time to celebrate because it is twenty twenty. And, of course, every conversation went political because how could it not right now both political and social and economic all of those places it's going right now and what target so brilliantly is he uses Gemini. He just ask more questions to literally understand why do you think this? Like why do you WanNa actually vote for that person I actually really WANNA know why? Cliff. So so obviously for me say like I'm getting an inside perspective. Is I'm not emotionally attached, and that's the big difference. is like a not just I. If a care that's where it comes down. If you're actually care about stuff for me, it's like a cultural experience I could actually. Find out more because there is so much unusual information going out that obviously has an agenda. and. Whether that's left. Alright. So for me to get an inside perspective about people who are passionate about stuff I, I appreciate that I was grateful for that and maybe slightly. To actually ask the questions, but it didn't actually cause the offense it actually. A broad still foul and that was the teacher us but that's actually the south inside such Terry says that. The teacher aspect. Can you say another thing Yes the loss of Dennis this with your friends in Britain. That's why you just do it here in he with everyone now. Well. Tension with questions. So go ahead. Yeah. Show in CIDER outside the perspective if you're coming from that perspective, not actually left or right block O Y or anywhere you actually just in the heart. And that's the secret if you coming from the heart which we will, how we all have love we all have a breath we all have asynchronous it. We don't have a rhythm. So if you can step into that rhythm, you can dance with anyone. Basically that's that's how I like to play. I just like to down to everyone and is kind of like it's almost like a form of survival in a way, but he's also. A form of flow. So That's just my unique perspective which was. The happiness was a really profound book for me irate with the Dalai Lama wrote. And we can criticize him or whatever. But that particular. Book was really interesting for me because what he helped me determine was he told the the the idea that. Our enemies are gray's teacher. That's a hard thing to cultivate. If you could actually look at your enemy. Then lookie self you recognize your the enemy as well. and. If you can do that, you can sophon. The so war. Until lead into September war energy. So you know if we're coming from from like I, like Bruce Slave isolate and I'm a big fan of Bradley. So you know he's like he's like Walter. So if you're coming from that point of view, you know you could always be. Soft but yet, totally strong site time and you could navigate the art of war with grace. Yeah. Basically. Yeah. Yeah and I I'm I'm inclined to share this. Conversation with all of you because we've been talking about this, quite quite a lot like very often with other people with ourselves. and. You know we had this experience the other day we sat by the river and I was feeling a lot of. Anger about something I was going through and we just sat at the river literally all morning and just let the water flow. Through us on our feet or whatever, and I just had this. Recognition that I'm also in the wrong right that. Like Tarek saying I'm also the enemy. The I have to check myself right now just as much as I. Hope that other people are checking themselves and I noticed also a lot of the things that have making angry about other people are the exact same things that I'm actually. A culprit of or or participant of and recognizing like holy shit this is my mirror. While like it keeps showing up late these mirrors keep showing up and. and. Then to find that love for that forgiveness for myself that forgiveness for the other league. That's where we achieve love and I've said this many many times before and I don't want to repeat myself but I'm going to. But this is this idea of John De Martini that his whole theory and philosophy is at the end of the day all that actually matters his love and gratitude because at everyone's last breath when everybody's asked if you had one day left to live, what would you do? Every single person says, go tell the people I love that I love them. I. Would Tell Him. Thank you and also in a Lotta cases I'm sorry and I forgive you. Add in the grand analysis like if this is the end of twenty is the last year on earth. Let's think like that. Love I. Love You. Thank you I'm sorry I forgive you and it's not easy. It's so much easier to via bad this. Just so much easier. Or Britain. It's just easier to vibe at fuck yo like you're voting for that fucking guy you're an idiot Right. So the reason that we're bringing this up is because as we move into September the astrology of September which I'm going to go into a much much much more in depth video with Mike Community, those of you in the community, I'll be doing this with all of you possibly live this month I'm not sure because this month is so insane the astrology of it is still like crazy that. I don't I. Don't actually know exactly where to begin. I would say that September is the most dynamic month astrologically twenty twenty maybe some astrologers with disagree with me I have no idea. I have no idea what people are gonNA think about that. But I certainly think that it is a dynamic month bringing in a lot of different energy in mass massive shift and I think I've mentioned this before but August was very much like the calm before the storm it was our moment to get ready for September October November in really December and I also mentioned many times that get ready for the fire. If you all remember I did a couple of lives here. brought an actual lighter out and I talked about the spark of the flame of Leo in the smoke of Sagittarius and I know here where we are in the middle of America right now is that this whole month has been smoke in the sky from the fires in California Arizona Utah Colorado Wyoming. It's all been on fire, which is what astrology suspected would have happened this summer and so August was really like the fire and the smoke in all of those different things was the energy of August but. At the same time that smoke in that fire gave us the opportunity to to transmit and transform because that's literally what fire does. It sparks it burns and it sends the smoke into the air, the transmutation of matter, and that's what August was was an opportunity to release let gull and transmit and transform and get ready for the new consciousness that wants to emerge starting in twenty twenty one. But this is now the actual battle. Are you ready for what's to come right and that's what September is ultimately about. So. Is there anything else you WANNA say about that at this point it's a little awkward because for sitting on the couch and we both. We. We don't really know how to talk right now. Online nothing is really cool. What you said obviously, you know this is a crazy year and. Obviously, there's a full moon. Coming up in. September. And if you think about last year, you know. Every year is there's been a lot of challenges and crazy. It's just that I think the fact that this year of. The world lockdown at everything. And so many people are frustrated right now this so many challenges that are ahead of people financially. location-wise all this stuff. But now it seems like every stroll addressing the grade that September October and as we move tools election as we move towards the end of the year. Eights. There's a lot to play out now. Yeah as we roll. VOL-, accepted in. Being the mercy of of of was happened now. But now it seems like the Kennel and the big guns, all this, the actual meat and potatoes around together eating all played out. Yeah. So the first big event on September as we Kinda, start the the month off with a bang with a full moon in Pisces now. If you remember last year this time the full moon in Pisces was an. Tans like that was one of the craziest full moons I've ever experienced because what was happening as it was the sun and the Moon Exactly Square Sagittarius Jupiter and Sagittarius and it made this huge completion huger. It was this huge t square in I remember I watched that full moon we should really do that actually. I watched it was my community at the time and we were sitting there and you could see the mood the sun setting the moon rising the Jupiter just like in the sky. Now, there's not that square to Jupiter on this on but I think there is a theme that is getting exaggerated or completed or coming to a fuller fruition since that full moon that. Happened a year ago in September much. Sure. Exactly. When the date of that was maybe September eighth or ninth or something like that of last year. So I want you all kind of check your calendars to see where you were last full moon Pisces because Pisces is completion that is the point of Pisces and so the new moon in Pisces would have been seeded. OCSTA- go ahead and give you that date. February twenty third of twenty twenty. So right before the global lockdown is when we had our new moon in Pisces. So all of you need to go back in your calendars check, where were you February twenty third? What was your mind state what? Where's your head at? I like to check calendars social media posts in. You can always look at the social media posts on accessible astrology 'cause I try to. Keep them in flow with the moon. Way Go back to that point, and you'll see you some things wanting to unfold just as we shift into this month. So it's like we start this month on the second with a big full moon. So that tells you that this month is not a normal month because we just come in with this magnificent moon. Which? Gets US going for the month so the next thing that's going to happen and I just WANNA bring out. please. Your policies you know even the. Pisces Can Be Light Love Romanticism it can also be quite extreme as well. So if we're moving into a new month where it's potentially genial, explain warlike energy. All Mas of Martian. Energy. If if if we're not using Nettuno Pisces in a way that is eliminating. Because last year, Jupiter was always in the domes with net Chaim. So there was a lot of things going on, but it was easy to to. To stay in the solve delusion the fantasy it was easy to kind of like not really thing that things would ever GonNa Change Very. Delusional. Yeah, it was their significant gene jeep to the square was just creating all that and then. The full out because certainly the illusion when capricorn came in and then make all this. Stuff is kind of. Wow, we're dealing with it now so that I would really everyone to go into their artistry. And that creativity rather than extreme like fair or extreme. dispatch. Because everything is illusion. I in some form or another. So rather than. Letting US get. Trapped in a in a in a in a fair bubble how about we put the bubble input into? That's why would suggest. Yeah and also you know this this kind of warlike energy. It is between the Gods, right we're the mortals on earth observing net and I think that's an important place to be. Now, let's not joke around there are very few humans who have lived through. We're living through in two thousand and twenty and I know a lot of people have loved this year. I don't want to downplay that because I think it's really really really important that we keep an equal neutral balance perspective of this I would say the majority of people I've connected with this year like this is the best year my life. Not everyone but a lot of people have. So a lot of people are seeing this year is incredible opportunity and a lot of people are having challenges. It doesn't matter the point is. When in world history has anyone on the planet gone through something like we're all experiencing together as one unit right now, where everybody is wearing masks, everyone's been affected by the economic shifts and changes. Everyone's being affected by the global political shifts in changes. It is a unique time. There's no way out of that, and our perspective on our perception is going to shape our experience of it. Someone just mentioned I just want to make sure all you know that this live replay will always be available in the community Yeah. So you'll be able to watch part of it back here on Instagram for twenty four hours and then he koch part of it forever. But if you WANNA only anytime, watch these playbacks, they're always going to be available in the community. So, right. So we're going into this. Incredible war of the Gods which is prolific and has been. Prophesized for thousands of years there's no way out of that and it would be naive for us to say that this is just like all in our head because it's not like real shit is going down in real changes happening underneath our noses that we can't even see in some some of us can see. and. So you have to go into that frame of mind if you knew you were going into the dust bowl if you knew you were going into the Great Depression if you knew you're going into World War Two amuse the worst case scenario else. Would you have done to prepare? In that's what the summer has given. Everyone the chance to do and I talked about it is what we need to be prepared for air where we're lifting off of earth and we're shifting into air into lactic travel into you know higher speed Internet, which is air frequencies. This is where we're going. We're not going to be able to measure. The value of a lot of elements of life moving forward and to the age of Aquarius in the age of technology and just to also RIA defy of people have it in their head that the age of Aquarius of or the shift that were moving into free love and. One of my client said I thought age of Aquarius was going to be like the end of the forty year old virgin where they're all like running around like. Ribbons and bows. Lake. Pictures from this season seventies of people running around topless in lake having primal scream fast and bullshit lake that in like doing drugs that's not the age of Aquarius in my estimation that I'm an Aquarius. So I have some authority on Aquarius, which means a graze is actually quite traditional in it's quite conservative actually. Ethnic. People have like a really I think the perspective of lunacy age of Aquarius that was like free love Hippie was actually the Petroleos perspective of Aquarius, but Aquarius Lot more traditional to lot more conservative. In his lot more isolated right. This is something that Aquarius says you know it's funny. Target a Sagittarius I'm an Aquarius. I don't mind isolation at all like it doesn't bother me being. A way from humans it like even a little and it's Not as easy for him raise Sagittarius. So you know I know that a lot of people are finding the twenty twenty difficult because of the isolation things of this nature. But those of us who have a lot of Aquarius Oh, this is fucking awesome. I don't have to see people I am this is great. I. Get to talk on the Internet. This is wonderful but the point is that air is the value of what we're moving into and so air travel actually owning airspace that's going to be a much more valuable commodity than owning Earth space you know. you know. All of these things and and Wi fi you know five, G. Sixty, seven g all of that's coming down the pike in. So we're GONNA have driverless cars and technology is going to shift very dramatically in the next ten to twenty years, and so what do you need to do to prepare for that? Right? which is your health that's a really really important piece just because we can't see the frequency is going through the air doesn't mean they don't affect us like you would never just go standby an x-ray machine for fun like we know that that is not good. We know that the radiation that comes off a machine that you can't see is really. Unhealthy thing or even the machines at the airport we know a lot of those machines are not as great for your your physical Chan see them. Right in the same I, deal with this war coming through the televisions you know about a political thing or the virus you can't see that right instill all of us were shifting into September which were really entering. We have to think where would I be if I knew we were moving into air right and because if we're moving into the dust bowl, the depression world war two, all of those elements culminate for us in a new consciousness, which is air I don't know if you WANNA say anything about that in particular just as in the future or isn't you just next month just yeah preparing for where we're going? Yeah. Yeah I mean true. It's like a lot of change on its way and everyone is feeling sensitive to that to some degree. Venus is still encountering and we're in a situation where. The world is changing and whatever implementation of that change is going to. Be realized you know obviously, if you look at the industry revelation before though there wasn't electricity. Now there was the agricultral revelation when enclosure and all these varies modern techniques to create more grain food castle came about it was all kind of like very bounced at the time but there's no way those people could have ever expected what was about to happen I railways electricity You know. So many things that happened from industry revolution that must've just seend totally crazy in an out. To the people living in the agrarian, beverly? Time? So where just Canada's happily now We just happened to be in some ways. Full Schnitt living through it at ease is always a is always a kind of like fear related to change. So in some part of us will be thinking Michael. One this change what's GonNa Happen in the robots coming. Five G. all the stuff that's been going out there the so much fear you know potential because unknown. And this is around us in Taurus. Big Feature of that but then at the same time. How do we navigate change? How how do we deal with something that might seem oppressive because it's something that we're not in control of his biggest an higher false is. Making this happen how do we deal with a? So I think that's basically the key right now is to kind of like how do we protect ourselves? Discern. Accordingly Act with integrity say through great change. That really is. I guess. The are of navigating this time and. For me personally I had to come off social media completely at one time just because I couldn't handle the infiltration of information that was coming through just because I know people and people share things with me. Naturally, people are concerned about what's going on a how to manage that. Likewise We all have to be prepared full. Our own fears that means we have to stock up a little bit. You know I'm not saying that's the right thing to do. But it's not the wrong thing today he's more to do with how we're going to feel safe. You GonNa feel secure. And I think discernment is just a key. Really making sure we don't. Ingest too many things that we know good for us. Yeah it's it is about what we consume right now. I'm really happy you said that because I've said this a lot but everything you consume is important right now from the Fudgy to the information, you read to the songs you listen to and the truth about technology is there are things you should be afraid about. There's a lot in technology that is not good for the human body and as the industrial revolution came out, there were consequences to that because we had adapted to that technology yet, and a lot of things happened at the time the Spanish flu technological advancements had come out at that time that complimented that flew. So a lot of people even. Gesture wonder if the reason the flu at the Spanish flu sped spread. So quickly so fast was actually because am FM radios had been introduced for the first time and was a reaction to the technology and some people are arguing that about five G. as well. I'M NOT GONNA make any statements about that because I, don't know. But the truth is it does affect us you know if you don't have blue blockers on your glasses. You should have blue blockers on your glasses. For example, if you're if you're looking into screens with a red filter on your screens at night, you are fucking up your hormones. That is a scientific fact. Now, fix the light that is going into your eyeballs. Bright. That has a huge impact on your hormones and how you feel technology has an impact on us. ems locker somebody said something out emf having a mess lockers those things work there's even paint. Now you can paint your house. If you're the middle of a city, you can paint your house with an F. paint because you're getting injected through all the time. Through frequency right The best thing to do is to live you know if you can way from frequencies but also to have trees and because these frequencies have a harder time getting through trees because trees are fucking athletic. And have withstood the test of time. You know these trees have been standing here for you know hundreds. In some cases, thousands of years because they know how to get through and technology somehow not all. Because trees also Diane Burns. So But so I'm not saying to be afraid also don't be naive. These things will affect your helping goes to the best that you count and do ns but the take it seriously. Yeah. A not also because I know that love for example, all the time womb personally when I became aware of will foods way in wall so important to stage where I didn't eat anything. Yeah. His I got so consumed by what should and shouldn't do that just basic common sense. So it's not a case of like most do must do that. We're going to go into healthy because at least that's fear you know we just do the best that we count. Yeah. Thank you. So, yes. So take it seriously we're moving into technology be prepared for that. One of the things we've talked a lot about is make sure you can get up and go any time. That's something I stressed here many many times Ataka's as well. 'cause that's also your honest Taurus and moving into Aquarius heirs we are with the wind now. So when we're really planted in one place, you know some earth event can happen or something, and it's not to cause fear it's to get everyone in thinking that I need to be more flexible. And I WANNA get back into the actual physical astrology of September, which again, I'm going to get into with a lot more depth than to the community with the community but. If you remember these little figurines I had a out recently because these are the gods who are really big massive part of all of this energy. These are the gods that are going to get ready to square off this this this September. So start the full moon on the second, and then the thing that interests me the next is going to be palace. I'm using her as Palace Athena or Thema. If, she's the best example but she kind of like a adoptable kind of what she character I dunno I really loved this movie when as a little girl too I don't know have you ever seen probably not. Sleeping Beauty. Anyway. It's the ferry, the fairy godmothers and you know they can change and you know Bull Tina does that she's a very adaptable consciousness and that's really what she's about but she's the goddess of. With strategy when it comes to warn cheese the the daughter of Zeus or the daughter of Jupiter Sushi is in Capricorn. She's a big feature in all of this. I'm definitely going to do the bonus episode this month on the role of the Goddesses in the astrology of twenty, twenty eight keep wanting to do it and I'm going to say out loud force myself to do that bonus episode in the month of September for all of you I will discuss the goddesses in the astrology of twenty twenty why they're so big and important in everything going on this year. So thema on September fifth just after that full moon she. Oh, she cinderella you're right I was totally wrong not sleeping beauty. My bad. Totally Morella right? Right. Yeah. Yeah. Don't you love her little house in the woods that she lives with her fairy godmothers? I love that little house she talks to the birds and everything. Anyway so she goes direct just after the full moon on the fifth. There's a lot of other shit happening I. Just WanNa talk about the most important things. member says she was here right remember I talked about in my last live that Jupiter Athena Pluto and Saturn. Why don't know where Saturday with Persada. The Carpenter, they've all been in a huddle talking, right. So little by little each one of them is going to be like, okay I'm ready to go I'm ready to face Mars, the God of war in Arras, the goddess of war. The first one to go forward is the goddess of Wisdom. So she's Never GonNa go to war she's not into that she's never gonna be like. fucking. You know she's going to be like, okay that motherfucker I'm GonNa. Let you be really really smooth an how I. Get. My revenge like I don't do this like just. Like, Aries, I take my time I think about it and she advises areas and heiress in war says she goes forward, which is actually a great thing because she might go talk to some of these guys before they get wrapped up in September. Okay then on the ninth and this is very, very important. Mars decides to now go retrograde. Okay. So faces off she wants to go forward Mars is ready to go back at her and go back at the Gods in Athena's almost the one like protecting the gods and she's think goddess this one going direct I to say, I'm GonNa try to speak some common sense and now this is really important in tar I overheard tar talking on the phone to somebody today about this actually it was your mom. The role of women during all of this is very important and I don't want to be like. I don't know you can call me whatever you WANNA call me but I'm GONNA. Say This frankly. Women. We have a grace that we can tap into right now that not all of us have tapped into I know I I certainly haven't every day. For Tar you knows that firsthand, but there is a grace that we have. There's A. A dignity. A Stillness A. What's the word I'm thinking of Tarak? We think about the grandma you know and children let's say. There is a Feminine, Grace The exists within women. Because of the emotional side of things. That men have. Men have. penises and basically it's. Much more expressive, which mall alive. To wrap with women CONC- More Round Roy bigger right simple as the right and you know so many times like I'll be talking to Tarquini news like, okay. What's your point and like a? I don't have one because he's masculine. He thinks that he's Mars right. He's directional like that not Venus right the feminine is embracing that feminine ability to to see beyond form. That's a big piece is that if there's a war in women are at home as the men are on the battlefield folklore, actually we're holding that space for stealth feeding children in were. Were holding that spiritual connection to God goddess that can move us through these transitional times history. Right. If we think about World War Two, if we think about the Great Depression the dust bowl, all of those things the men were much more mask masculine Louis positioned. It was really important for the feminine to hold that nurturing in that space in that potential for something. Beautiful to be born out of destruction. If masculine is destructive. Feminine is creative. So, Athena leads that. Way And Marsden Stations Retrograde at twenty eight degrees almost twenty, nine degrees of aries. Now, go back listening to podcasts if you have not but this is obviously very important deal. Okay. So Mars goes retrograde and then Jupiter he decides to go direct. Okay. So he's done talking to now he is like, okay. I will now follow you which is so cool. which is kind of what he does in the Thalji anyway she's very much. Him because he she's born out of his head, the his third I are his shot. Seven shocker or whatever his higher consciousness she's A. Embodiment of it, and so he's kind of falling his daughter in that sense, and again, these guys are coming closer together right and they come to big square. Coming up here in the fall more in October time. And then that Jupiter goes direct on the twelfth, we do have a new moon in Virgo. Eighteen I'll talk more about that with the Scorpio. Juno enter Scorpio. So again, this is why it's really important for me to talk about the goddesses. This month is June L. Enter Scorpio, and then series retrograde ing enters back into Aquarius. So that's really important because she was a massive feature of this springs information as well. enters Scorpio anyway that's a whole nother thing and then finally Saturn than goes direct as well. Okay. So we've got a theme of Saturn, and Jupiter all shifting direct as Mars now with his sister. Heiress the goddess of war. Are. Going now head off with these guys K.. So these guys have all been doing their thing he's been doing his thing. That's what August gave us gave us the fire to transmit transform to create the future hold for ourselves and for humanity that's August was really about was about manifesting potentials manifesting potentials right because our vibrations. On Everything on the galaxies in the ultimate out of humanity. At, least that's what we think some scientists that we've got into few debates with disagree with us, and that's fine and so but now September they go at, they're ready to go at each other. Now there is one sleeping giant who doesn't go direct until October that is Pluto Aka, the creamery I speak, and so that's really going to happen here in October. In so the dynamic nece, the dynamic energy of September because I'm I'm leaving out the fact that there's an equinox on the twenty second I'm leaving out. A different aspects that are going to be happening this. Month I'm leaving out Venus shifting into Leo like there's so many pieces and in my twenty twenty, two blocks I give you the transit chart and it's easily the longest transit chart of the year. If you if we go month by month. It is the most dynamic month I think of this year and so. You want to just be conscious of the fact that now it's it's on. WE'VE had a respite in wave your hand by the way if you have felt that in August. If you felt like, oh, actually links skill pretty good and Oh, this is great and if you felt that energy which you know God willing you dead and you will that was kind of that. Portal or something opening or that opportunity of creativity to see the potentials of what could be right into tap into the heart, which is Leo which is love. There's a lot of hands waving. And that's what that was. It was giving us all this like all. This could happen. This could be our future. It could be better than than anything. We've ever seen all q magic kids not going to factories schools. consumation if I got to be home more. Right, all of this stuff was happening to open our hearts, the potentials of where we're going. But now we have to face the reality that we don't get there just by like painting pictures in praying there's action required for this change to take place. And what we're going to see as a representation of that on the external. So from the macro perspective is we're GonNa, see the news. Get, pretty, severe. In this candidacy between trump and biden is GONNA get. More. Severe. And what the end result of this election I don't even know if these are going to be the two guys running ultimately I mean that's very up for debate. We'll even have an election in November I mean these are the things we we just cannot see as astrologers or as anybody I don't believe. But the fact is things are about to get a bit more severe because the truth is. The system is dying and it's not dead yet. It's just simply not dead yet. I mean kids are going back to school right now. And instead of integrating this new consciousness now, they're just sitting in desks far away from each other or I can't tell you how many. Kids will go back to school pictures. I've seen my friends post where they're sitting on computers like it doesn't work yet. We haven't figured out what this new consciousness works, how works yet or how this looks yet, there's going to be a massive adjustment process into air into Aquarius. And also linked colleges. How do you? How do you test college students when they can just go on Google like look at the answers while they're taking tests on the Internet like these are things that. Are Going to cause a lot of tension and a lot of chaos and confusion. So that's part of it. I want you to say something though. If. You don't mind I. Know you're back. Volume Yeah so Just a few things firstly, the air thing and Aquarius whatever. That's not GonNa Happen Until Twenty Twenty, three, twenty, twenty, four when Pluto goes into Aquarius twenty seven. Cases Yeah, and then over say Iran us, cut into Jim Nice to don't think this is going to happen overnight it's not like. We should get terrified or scared at all is a natural evolution. Okay. That's what we really have to just accept it embrace issues the conjunction on the twenty first of December. Which is unconfirmed Jupiter in Aquarius. Sarah degrees is a very, very significant marker of that change. So that that's that's why whatever happens from. Now until the end of the year, things could could go left and right. All over the place. But actually when we get to that day is when we really going to start seeing. Much more full would progression of what Jean is talking about is Aquarius Technology. So don't necessarily buy into anything believe the hype too much. Just go with the flow. I'm relaxing allow things to happen because his also you're on a square sun we his a huge huge transit for next year but I won't go into that now. So, what I want to say is just a few things you just said firstly regarding the feminine, the Feminine Actually, count me rather destructive. Sheva. So let's remember that if if we win decides stop having children and not say. Endgame. So the reason why Women important. I. Believe in this time is because it's time for women to kind of tap into I would say their magical powers. Like Florence Nightingale as an example, somebody who was a nurse Great. Path. For people man going to war. because. Men Than Day they will react because if if someone comes with face, how do you react to that is unlikely legal just. You react to that as a warriors of pride till of aspect to the. Demand. But women it's like if you can see bigger than the but know how to to be the warrior. Queen, let's say the maybe the energy is required right now that's all I'm trying to say regarding that when I was China, the moment, a friend of mine and I was just saying. We're all going through difficulty right now how do we access that difficulty positively maybe it's time to bring our powers you know. At another thing I wanted to say about September Jupiter. Sun. Going direct. He's a really big deal. Jupiter's participating detriment in capricorn. AM. Not just that. Is a big player in all of this regarding ending. Capricorn. Time so he's going to bring more fuel to the fire if you see what I mean and certain obviously completing. Its passage with into capricorn is a very, very big deal. So the energies of direct motion is good to be significant and it's something to pay attention to. A likewise obviously Mazda and retrograde is kind of like. The reactions to it. So. Mars is digging in. The boundary and saying right doorbusters me you're screwed. But ultimately psalms going to win. Yeah so rather than get caught in the crossfire of this war energy, which is playing out in the world was released to deal with the balance of power in China Russia America the dollar. That's actually what's going on am and then we'll ever tactics used within the world the will to full either destructions whatever it is. sensitivities might be hi, I'm Scott Secrecy careful not to get too distracted or too much fear vibration. Perfect I. Love that. That's beautiful yes. Oh, a couple of quick things. I asked you questions before doing this I put some opportunities tried to enter. We've a lot of the answers to today's conversation, but I will just really quickly try to address a few more of your questions. One somebody asked what college is tarp taking his classes in astronomy and astrology. Wales University. Yes the University of Wales. Trinity. David so. Just, go go online to the University of Wales. Lampeter college and he should find a cultural astronomy and astrology. Yeah. Patron Prince Charles Eric. Wolf. Okay. Can you talk about the financial markets instability of September yeah? While, we can't predict the future and we are not financial advisers however. It's GONNA get. We think pretty pretty fucking intense in September. So be prepared for that. Have Your finances ready for a potential, a severe crash nothing like March much much more intense than the crash in March much more insane than that. We've cut me wrong because trump is not going to want. Those really could happen after the election, but there could be a massive tremor in the markets in September someone could recover it. To get the election but there could be another. There's an inevitable crash coming in inevitable actual depression coming unless there's a complete shift within the financial system, which is also very possible. Do your research on that but the actual traditional stock market we think we'll probably have a big hit in September we be wrong note. Sure. Are Tremor. But this fall. Pre or post election somethings probably going to happen. So I, talk about that a lot more in the community. We can talk about that more later there's one minute remaining Are we heading into civil war that's up to us as individuals is what I think. So there might be civil war happening in our neighbors, house next door to us. That doesn't mean civil war has to be happening in our home. This is coming back to that vibrational love, which is super important and I. Think those are the big ones I wanted to answer that I wasn't. Oh, could the possible ill invasion be a hoax to include more fear probably. Or could be real. Could it only happened this year probably but I talked a lot more about the community invasions quite a lot in i. think that is it someone talked about a moon wobble I wanNA talk about that in the community a little bit more. So be sure to join the community to get all of this information and more to watch the playback and to get all the bonus content and videos and all of that at accessible astrology dot com, and thank you all so much for being here today and thank you so much for supporting. The marriage between myself and Tarek it's been great to have all of your congratulations. Love. Thank you so much until we speak again.
The World Food Program Won the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize. Heres How the Pandemic Has Made Its Work Even More Essential
"The, World Food Program. Won The twenty twenty Nobel Peace Prize here's how the pandemic has its work even more essential. By Sierra nugent the UN's world. Food. Program was awarded the Twenty Twenty Nobel Peace Prize on Friday with the Norwegian Nobel, committee praising the agencies quote impressive ability to intensify its efforts during the covid nineteen pandemic. The WFP is world's largest -Tarian Agency focused on hunger it seeks to tackle both chronic food insecurity the long-term lack of access to enough food suffered by six hundred, ninety million people in the world and acute insecurity periods of extreme hunger over a defined period of time earlier this year, the agency warned that the number of people facing acute food insecurity is likely. To double from one, hundred, thirty, five, million to two, hundred, sixty, five, million in two, thousand, twenty in large part because of the covid nineteen pandemic the pandemic has compounded the impacts of conflicts, poverty and climate related shocks that had already been driving up both chronic and acute hunger for the five years preceding twenty twenty Ashworth, Hussein chief economist at the WFP tells time we were already in a bad state. He says, but covid nineteen has created a kind of economic quicksand under people's feed. If we don't pull them out quickly, it takes people years if not decades to recover. Here's what to know how hunger has worsened in the world in twenty twenty. How has the pandemic affected global food? Security. Overall, the world has enough food to feed the global population in twenty twenty. The problem is getting it from where it's produced to where it's needed and the pandemic made that more complicated the sudden implementation of lockdowns caused unprecedented fractures of supply chains. Right across the board says, Jesuit, sings FRY CO chair the University of Cambridge's Interdisciplinary Research Center on Global Food Security. You had a shock to the system in terms of supply problems in harvesting food and a loss of income and ability to purchase in developed countries like Australia travel bans during the pandemic man migrant workers were unable to participate in harvests leaving food rotting on the vine. A reliance on imported food in countries like the U K coupled with panic buying at the start of the pandemic caused by fear of disruption left grocery store shelves, Bare. But the pandemics most severe impact on food security has been felt in developing countries the loss of jobs and releases. Ince's from their citizens living abroad have made people less able to afford food. The price of food has risen in some places such as Sudan due to economic disruption and inflation from a supply chain. Point of view shrine says the extreme fragmentation of markets in developing countries with trae generally divided among many retailers has made it harder to combat the disruption. What areas are most affected. Countries that have been destabilized by conflict are generally also the worst hit by hunger according to the WFP in Yemen before the pandemic began a five year long civil war had driven more than half the population into was state of food crisis emergency or catastrophe two, million Yemeni children. Five suffered acute malnourishment in two thousand, nineteen in South Sudan with a twenty eighteen end of a civil war didn't and a severe economic crisis six in ten people are facing a food crisis or emergency. Other countries facing some of the world's worst food crises include the Democratic Republic of the Congo Afghanistan Venezuela, Ethiopia Syria, Sudetan Nigeria, and Haiti. What are the worries for Food Security going forward? As well as further economic impacts and supply chain disruptions caused by the pandemic try says, the world faces a perfect storm for food security over the coming months in years made up of conflict trade disputes over utilization of natural resources and an increase in extreme weather events driven by climate change climate change is the greatest term threat to global food. Security says Mario Herrero chief research scientist in agriculture and food at Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation the average annual number of extreme weather events such as droughts and unusual floods has more than doubled since the early nineteen nineties to more than two hundred meanwhile, cultural seasons are becoming destabilized or shortened. If we think covert is bad climate change is really really a lot worse especially when we start getting the impact in a couple of decades, Herrero says for Hussein, the WFP's chief economist funding is also a worry donors and U N member states have been very generous so far with contributions to the program, but it's possible. He warns that the economic crisis deepening in countries around the world could lead the government to cut their humanitarian funding the Nobel. Committee. Statement included a warning that quote the world is in danger of experiencing a hunger crisis of inconceivable proportions. The World Food Program, and other food assistance organizations do not received financial support they have requested. Such cuts would be a major mistake and lead to greater problems for both developed and developing countries down the Line Hussein says he cites the economic and political fallout of events like. Twenty fifteen refugee crisis and other forced displacements driven by conflict and insecurity. We live in a very interconnected world. So if we don't address these problems wherever they happen later, they come back to bite us he said. Worth reporting by Aria Chen.
Stop dancing to the sound of your oppression | Madame Gandhi
"It's Ted talks daily I'm Elise Hugh News it carries tremendous power to connect us to ourselves and one another but only a tiny percentage of music producers identify as women which means the songs turn up in our cars or in our ear buds can end up spreading harmful ideas about women. In her Ted Twenty Twenty Talk Madame. Gandhi sheriff's an alternative track. It features something refreshing. So, often I'll take a fitness class or go to a music venue. Or really anywhere that plays music in the background and I'll find myself loving the rhythms and the maladies and the beats. And then I take a second to listen to the lyrics lyrics that, for example, place us in a position of subservience that we would never tolerate in any other context and I am Aghast at the degree to which we normalize sexism in our culture I listen this music and I'm like. I don't want to have to turn up to the sound of my own oppression you know music. Is One of the most powerful forms of communication. Because it has the potential to either uplift or oppress. Music caters to the emotions music caters to the soul music opens up our soul. It opens up our channels to receive information about somebody else's walk of life to inform our own roles, and while I have no problem with male fantasy. What I do have a problem with, is that according to a recent study only two point six percent of all music producers identify as women that means an even smaller percentage identify as trans or gender non? Conforming. And what does this matter? Because if we don't own and control our own narrative. Somebody, else will tell our stories for us and they will get it wrong perpetuating the very myths that hold us back and I'm here to tell other people how to make their music. But I am here to provide an design the alternative. One Strategy I take in my music. Is Making up lifting energetic progressive global beats. And placing lyrics on top of them that genuinely described my life's experiences without contributing the oppression of anybody else. It's funny because it's the same reason as to why we excuse so many problematic lyrics it's because we love how beats make us feel. An example of this is my song topnotch turn up. Off My phone notification. So why have more time no bubbles to trouble clear state of mind. One thing the no. I'm not here to please hair tied up properly what time is not your property when I'm productive like my own. Give, grow room, breathe basic lights and her liberty free from insecurity the world projecting onto me please not trouble me. When I am focused the future is already know this fighting against the corruption. Let's go to turn up in my top is one I I wrote this. Not. I want to keep making sex positive beautiful music about joy and freedom. I want us to embrace our own pleasure just as much as we embrace our own pain I want us to celebrate the authentic nuanced multidimensional aspects of our human existence. Rather, than perform false narratives of degrading sexuality in order to feel accepted or loved and another strategy that I take in my music, it's a combat. The misogyny that exists on the Airways is to visually depict the very word I wish we lived in in the music video for my song. See me through which is like A. Queer electronic arm song I cast of my dear friends, Anya and diva to play the role of the lovers because they're married in real life. But what you don't know is that they also behind the camera consenting directing the entire video. Music should be safe and accessible for all to experience. It's not about losing the sex of or swags that music has it's about writing messages that infused tenderness and positivity into music that motivates US and challenges us. And while we musicians absolutely have the responsibility to make music that isn't disempowering the consumers can be part of the change to firstly we get to choose which songs we WANNA. Mute and which song you WANNA turn louder. We get to see I respect myself enough to say I don't want to listen to this and I don't want this to be in anybody else's space either. Secondly we can simply ask ourselves does this music or this message contributes to the oppression of somebody else why am I tolerate eating and finally we can all be choosing to make playlists or DJ music that provides the right vibe or mood that we're looking for in that moment without the problematic messaging. Why does this matter because it's teaching? Algorithms are streaming systems in our world exactly what it is that we do want to listen to. Creating long-term. And a feedback mechanism that the entire industry. This is not a message. For, just a small group of people, this is a message that affects everybody because when we protect and liberate our most vulnerable genders we liberate everybody.

Between five and ten million years ago before the Amazon River was formed. The study found that the turtle was one hundred times heavier and its closest modern relative and had the largest campus. Or Shell of any turtle ever known this whopping two thousand five hundred pound. Goliath. That's one thousand. One hundred and fifty kilos was also ready for battle. Some campuses were tricked out with front facing horns sitting on both sides of their head. Something scientists haven't seen before in prehistoric Turtles Marcello Sanchez director of the Paleontological Institute and Museum at the University of Zurich said in a press. Release the two Shell. Types indicate that two sexes of stupendous existed males with horns shells and females with hoernlund shells. Their shells were also covered in big scars and puncture marks suggesting a few things about dependence. These big brutes were fighters the males and females did look different and the males might have even fought each other for access to the females. The horns also have come in handy in fighting off another unspeakably hefty freshwater. Animal the purse. Soroush which was came in a group of reptiles related to alligators. That weighed nine. Point three tons and required ninety pounds or forty kilos of food a day just to get by all. Those dependence geographic was first described in the mid nineteen seventies. The current study has revised what we know about the size and abby distribution and ecology of this turtle beast because the vast wetlands of prehistoric Venezuela and Colombia could support such a heavy duty. Wilco to Space Time We'd Stewart Gary. Astronomers fat evidence of a Patchwork of salty liquid water lakes below the surface of the Red Planet, Mars these latest discoveries follows the detection of allowed salty liquid water lake beneath the Martian southern Polar Icecap back in two thousand eighteen the new findings reported in the journal Nature Astronomy suggests there must be audible puns of hyper saline liquid water below the surface of the Red Planet Mars like a previous results than new findings based on radar data from the masses instrument aboard the European Space Agency's Mars Express or. To make discoveries, the authors barred methodology commonly used for radar sounder investigations in subglacial lakes in Arctic Canada, and Greenland adapting the method to analyze both old and new masses data. The reading show multiple areas of high intensity reflections that's against the existence of numerous extended polls of liquid water back in twenty eighteen scientists using data for Mars Express detected an area of strong reflectively in lead the parts of ice and dust about. One and a half kilometers below the surface neither mash and south pole ice cap. The data suggests a liquid water lake about twenty kilometers across lying on the original surface of the planet, which is since being covered the by as of ice and dust, and unlike previous findings of water on Mars, which were either frozen or highly seasonal. This reservoir appear to be permanently liquid and because microbes can't survive in similar environments on. Earth, the Martian subsurface lake could also potentially host live despite the extreme cold and salinity that discovery spark renewed if it's to better understand the sorts of conditions which would allow liquid water to assist in such an inner spittle area. See over the Martian. Surface is too cold and as far too little atmospheric pressure appear liquid water to survive. The Red Planet is rich in chlorides. CHLORIDES sulfates Hekla rates, calcium, magnesium, and sodium. Salts all of which would significantly lower the freezing point of water keeping liquid data temperatures as low as minus seventy four degrees Celsius. The triple point of a substance is the temperature and pressure at which you can co exist in all three main phases that is solid liquid gas for water. The triple point is found at zero point zero, one degrees Celsius, and at six point one to Minibar or zero point six percent. Of Atmospheric pressure on Earth surface although there are some equitorial regions mass, which to have conditions just below the triple point of water, most of the planet and Joe's temperatures far below that, and when the atmospheric pressure is lower than the liquids vapor pressure, the Liquid evaporates through a process called supplementation. Pure water really supplements under the thin Martian atmosphere, which is just one percent of atmospheric pressure on earth however sought solutions or. brines done evaporate or freezes easily and therefore would be more likely to remain liquid on eyes experiments. Suggest that water mixed with Magnesium Cora would would be less likely to evaporate or freeze on Mas compared to water mixed with Surrey Potassium chlorate necessary Phoenix landed touchdown, either marsh North Pole back in two thousand and eight. It's the furthest north. Any mission has ever gone and win mission manages photograph though land struts they saw. Droplets of liquid colas on the structure. Now, scientists believe these with droplets of saline water at splashed up during the landing, and they remained in a liquid form for some time as to where the water came from. Well, a trench dug by Phoenix, uncovered frozen water, just a centimeter below the surface. So Phoenix was landing. It's rockets were firing and the head of those rockets melted some of the water which then splashed up. On the landing structure, the new study not only confirm the position extent strengthen of the original twenty eighteen south pole detection, but it also discovered three separate bright areas three additional lakes each about ten kilometers wide as for this new study it not only confirmed the position extent strength to the original twenty, eighteen south Paul detection, but it also discovered three separate new bright areas that is three additional lakes h around ten kilometres cross. In other words the main lake is surrounded by several smaller bodies of liquid water. Now, this stage, the authors can't determine these legs into connected or if they're H. isolated bodies, one of the study's authors Brazil caporale from the University of southern Queensland says the barter experiments studying the stability of hyper saline acquiesce solutions have helped explain the presence of the liquid water. These experiments show that high salinity, Brian Campuses, geologically significant periods of. Time, even at temperatures as low as minus one, hundred and twenty five degrees Celsius which typically found in the Martian polar regions. Now, while the existence of a single subglacial lake could be attributed to an unusual condition such as volcano under the ice sheet. The discovery of any system of lakes implies that they're actually fairly common, and that suggests some kind of natural formation process that's probably been going on through much of modern history. Taking. That a step further, it could also imply that these lakes could retain traces of any life forms that may have evolved on the Red Planet. Mars. Was a warmer wetter world with a denser atmosphere something more similar to the earth rather than the freeze dried desert the red planet it's become today. APP really says findings confirm that thick Martian ice sheets far from being uniformly structured wastelands should be viewed as graphically and physically complex geological formations deserving to be fully exploiting tito well, the new Nathan has shown us that that are three other little lakes. Around. The main one they are all separated some other by strips of dry. And get more little ones that about thank you. Across each it shows that the mashed environment is doing these things randomly doesn't it? Because if it was just one liquid water lake that there could be a volcano or something that caused that not. All that raises questions about this is some natural geological process which occurs on Mas. Right. Been doing your research actually elite there worth a paper published last year by a group in the US that speculated that there might be at will cain and they're the ice or that could be an area of anomalous geothermal activity. For example, if there were much much chambers underneath the area where we found the first lake, but that's the require really high just thermal gradients and there is no evidence for that having found the three mortally the lakes in the region. Clearly, as you mentioned, it signifies that we are not looking at a unique occurrence. Looking at something, which is much more global implications and very well linked to the climate and hydrology of Mars in order to allow water to remain liquid at such cold temperatures in as in that in touch with something. Doesn't it? Yes we need some anti freezer. So pure water obviously add. Richer will not will not exist in liquid stay. In fact, we have ice there. But if we have some unto Caesar's such as for example, chemicals, light assault, we know that's all the press, the melting point of ice, and so you can have liquid even temperatures which are very very low below zero, and in our case, we seeing that this anti freezers out crumbly soils generated by the absorption of atmospheric water onto that chlorate and we know that there are lots of salts on. March. They have been found that they have been observed all over March and so that may be a mechanism where you can generate very. Highly Salon water that's remains liquid this condition and that wouldn't just need to be in the subsurface that would be on the surfaces. Well, on the Senate out of crisis, we found ice on the shadow side of crater on Mars So whatever you know, you have temperatures that are below the new temperature so much. So where the fan doesn't reach, the sunlight doesn't necessarily be rich regularly. Then we found pockets of is now this would seem to be pure is whether there is illegally underneath supposed to believe we at the moment, don't have the tools to see, but we hope that with future observations and and and we. meekly might possibly be able to observe liquid water also under the North Pole Cap Windy on the tech observing campaign using Mas Express. Oh. Yeah. No. We we actually our team is the team that ran basically mission control for MARCI's for the Senate Rating Raider. So essentially, the request, the European Space Agency who fly the orbiter in certain locations depends on mission control in Rome and we must request. Of course, there are technical issues that have to be considered all the time back basically we. The orbiter ended for collect data whatever we need. It just takes time these three nearly found lakes. So they at the Same Level as the twenty thousand discovery. We a few. That's because our measurement of the debts of the basement that depends on the type of geophysical. There's we can see therefore the ice cap talk. So we assume that they are the same that around one point, five kilometers below the surface they could be a little bit shallower would make you think they possibly in the same layer of strata yes. We are thinking along the lines of them being based in other words at the bottom of the ice. On the on the ground underneath no evidence of any inter connectivity no our date that's not allow us that kind of a solution. What we can see though is that among the leader bodies awards water, there are dry streets of material because the geophysical phenomena such to be reconciled only with material, which is relatively dry. So that might indicate that there is no connectivity among the various bodies award that we cannot say for certainty weather then either not because if there were connecting channels for example, and they would be too small to be resolved without instrument, we just wouldn't be able to see them our footprint extremely large. So had the footprints of the of the what we can see. On on the surface. Oh, how the resolution feature sees not very, very good. We are talking you know tens of kilometers size resolution I. Guess the other interesting aspect to this research is the hope that because life can exist on the really Brian e conditions here on earth there's always the possibility that if life had existed on Mars, it might survive in these briny. Watery pockets. Yeah. I. Mean we obviously our team normal that he's an ex eulogists or biologists in general. So we are all physical scientists of some sort and engineers, and so that's really not our area of expertise. But naturally, as you mentioned, that are extra vice leaving earth they have involved in a variety of different conditions including very high temperatures, very low temperatures various. Meant very hyper silane solution pan so that he's no reason to think that the same it will Lucien reprocesses might not happen flare. So the presence of Ryan's even those very harsh conditions who certainly opens up new avenues research for exobiology must be taking a different view. Now when you see scientific papers looking at like Vostok and places like that in an Daca, we had actually very interested in. that. Kind of research we are trying to ourselves or analogs for our research as well. We have received requests collaboration as well from little science groups that are working on earth in similar environments. So we hope to be able to establish also some collaborations to look at analogs on earth. You study a an environment on another world without contaminating it, and that's the beauty if you want real physical. Techniques because like the radar, for example, we do not actually have to touch anything. Of course, it comes to a point where you can do match with modeling of the data from remote sensing, and you need to get some ground through seeing in order to refine the model back. Obviously, that's very, very difficult than needs to be done especially if you're studying other planets and needs to be done. In full compliance, we suppose and regulations and science of exobiology in the sense of not contaminating potential sites. Zillion kept really from the University of southern Queensland and this is space. Well, they say don't bet against Einstein and that's been proven yet again with a new study of supermassive black holes Albert, Einstein's Nineteen fifteen general theory of relativity. The idea that gravity isn't a force, but rather the effect of matter whooping the fabric of space time has withstood over a hundred years of scrutiny and testing and the newest test by University of Arizona. astrophysicists from the Event Horizon Telescope collaboration just may general relativity and the good Professor Stein five hundred times harder to beat despite successes.
