Larry Magid: Apple's New iPad

"What do you think Larry. Well for three hundred and twenty nine dollars. You get a very nice tablet with apple's retina display so it's GonNa have a really nice screen and it runs all of the Iowa software and let's face it. There's a lot of great software APPs for the IPAD most of which will also run on an iphone as well so you get the iphone ecosystem so there's a lot to be said for for it and you know I do recommend it for anybody who wanted to stay within the apple ecosystem having fed that as I often fe talking about any apple product there are other ecosystems out there and I for one think that Amazon has got some great values with its fire tablets now. They're not going to be as as cool there. They don't look quite as good but starting at about one hundred and fifty dollars you could get a ten inch a fire tablet roughly the same size and this new IPAD and it runs most of the thing that most of them WanNa do such watching movies reading books Taking Notes Doing e mails surfing the web it Federa fellow as good. If new tablet is I would always check out the competition before forking over three hundred twenty nine dollars and by the way you have to pay more if you WANNA keyboard and other accessories.

Larry Magid: Tile

"Learn. Let's start off by refreshing people's memories about tile tile along with a competitor called tracker, and there are a couple of other through these little devices that you could stick on a keychain. You could put it in fed of wallet. You could clip it to your backpack. You could glue it, I suppose, with double sided tape to your computer, and if you're misplaced a device, you can grab your phone. It will try to locate it if it's within bluetooth range intellectually ring it. So they've been around for a while and I've had them in my device, but it had a lot of complaints about mind because one the ring wasn't loud enough to the range. If I were more than you know, twenty or thirty feet from the tile at might not actually connect by bluetooth, and also you had to replace the tile every year when the battery died. But they fixed all of that. They're now louder longer range and they have replaceable batteries. Seems like the concept makes a lot of senses. It's come in handy for you. I'm afraid. I'm one of these people. In fact, if you go to Larry throw dot com, you'll find my review as I admit there. I've often. Said to my wife and my losing it because I can't remember anything and she has no, Larry, you were like that when I met you, which is a long time ago with a young man at the time? Yeah, I tend to misplace my keys, my wallet, you know, I think a lot of people do and if they're usually somewhere in the house and if I grab my phone and if I'm in proximity, they'll ring now I can be almost anywhere in my house and Mike keys will ring. So I think that's a big improvement. So you pay for the tile but then you also have to pay monthly? No, no. There is a premium service which I think it's twenty nine dollars a year. I write about it in the in larrys world dot com, but you don't need the premium fit with all that does is give me some bells and whistles which may or may not be that useful. And by the way, if you Lou the tile and this is true with the old one is will the new one. If you lose it somewhere else, let's say you left it at a coffee shop. There is a possibility that someone else who had the tile app if they're walking by their app and your device will communicate, and you might actually find out where it's located, and people have gotten their devices back even when they're lost outside of their homes.

That was the start of everything. It wasn't the beyond and all the thing that gave me the graduate degree in business. In fact it wasn't about business at all but it taught me taught me a lot of great lessons but the mental lesson was no matter what I WANNA LEARN. There are other. The Information We Crave (DHS53)

"Dental hacks nation you know that the dental hands are big fans of micro copy dental I've been using their single patient use burs fourth fifteen years something like that long time before I was ever doing a podcast. I, Love them because they're always sharp but they're also always completely stare because you open up the package and use it and you get rid of him. When you're done single patient use, you don't have to worry about cross contamination and they're always sharp. So of course, it makes a ton of sense micro copy wants to give you all the information you need about this they have a free to ce credit course on single patient use versus multiple. Patient used L. Birth. You can take it by going to dental hacks, dot com slash free C e. you're going to fill out the form and you're gonNA use coupon code. S. P. You for you and that stands for a single patient use for U. S. P. You for you get the course at twenty nine dollars value for free. It's to see credits and it's about infection control. One of the greatest things that you can do is only use a borough single time on a single patient and get rid of it and micro copy are the people that do that check it out at dental dot com slash free C E, and while you're at it. Maybe, try a couple of different kinds of birds that you might like. They got all kinds of different birds. You can sample before you make the decision. So simplify your are material and never worry about cross contamination are copies. Got It all. New. Bur. Every time micro copy dental. Dental hats shorts. Hey Dental hacks nation. Welcome back to another episode of the dental hacks shorts. So today I'm going Solo again it's just me your pal. Al One of the CO hosts of dental x podcast and I have I think it's going to be kind of short one today I have a request of you and let me just give some background on this. I feel like. And I don't know for sure but many of you are familiar with the fact that we have a relatively large facebook group that's called the dental hacks nation. It's got almost thirty thousand people in it. A had almost thirty thousand people in it. For quite a long time actually We don't accept that many people in it interesting as probably for for another podcast but anyhow. But the original plan for the dental hacks nation was for it to be a group for the dental hacks podcast listeners. But if you spend any time there, you realize that that's not what it is. It's become kind of much larger than that. If we had thirty thousand listeners to the podcast regularly. We'd be like, I, don't know we'd be halfway to Joe Rogan kind of thing maybe not really but. We don't have that many listeners, our listeners of the podcast. I'm pretty sure are most kind of hard core. People I'm in. That's to you because you are listening to this right now and I want to try and figure a way out to contrast. The dental has podcast listeners from the like dental hacks nation or the clinical hacks groups. So what I'm doing is I'm putting out a a survey. I'M GONNA I'M GONNA. Have you guys go if you would Dental hacks, dot com slash podcast survey. So dental dot com slash podcast survey. It's ten questions survey very short is taking almost no time to complete. It will give us a little bit of an idea of who our listeners are in just a little bit of your background, not not much. It's Fairmont of demographic stuff. You know whether you're dentists dental student hygienist assistant that sort of thing. It's basic questions. It took me I I went through and took about two minutes to answer the questions now. We're going to sweeten the pot a little bit because if you leave us your name or email and we're not gonNA use them we're not gonna add them to a listening that just so we can get in touch with you. You'll be in a drawing for a fifty dollars Amazon Gift Card. If, you answer this survey. So it's if you answer the one for the dental x podcast listeners. Chance of winning because I don't suspect there will be a lot of them. Most people don't take the time to do these surveys I'd like you to prove me wrong on that. Tell you the truth but usually in the past we've gotten maybe a fifty fifty to one hundred people. That's pretty God's on pretty good odds to win something I. Love More but we're also going to do you have to chance 'cause if you remember the dental hacks nation, maybe three because we might do it in the clinical to. If. You are if you take the survey them and put up there in the next week, you will also be up up for a fifty dollar gift card. So bottom line a couple of chances to win a couple of chances just to give us information about our audience and and who's listening versus who's spending time the dental hacks nation that sort of thing, I also in that serve as a chance you to tell us what we could do differently guest you might like You know what's what's working what's not because we've changed the format over the years and and it's hard to get. When I've met people at the voice eventually, they're not all that willing to tell us what what we could do better I think a lot of people. Don't want to be critical to my face so and I will say that in the past people have been perfectly comfortable being critical to us. In. The surveys there. Sometimes they're kind of harsh I can live with that. But if you want to not to not to scare you away from doing that. But if you want to win the fifty bucks, you gotta give us a way to get in touch with you. That's the only thing I can't. I can't read your mind. So you have to give an email or a name, but we really will do a random drawing really good at that. And we'll make sure that happens as well. So if you would take a little bit of time to. Go to, dental dot com slash podcast survey fill out the survey that would be super valuable to us, and then probably same day or the day after we'll be dropping a similar survey in the dental hacks nation a facebook groups. If you're not a member there, you need to join up there. And also, we're going to do it in the clinical hacks group because. I want to see like what the demographics between each group are, what that sort of thing. No other reason that I'm curious. As far as our advertisers I mean I might give them the information they have not asked. I think I think the advertisers are pretty happy with with. The interaction they get with the podcast in the in the facebook group. It's really hard. The like podcast facebook groups very hard to track what you're getting from there. I gotta say that it's interesting like we've tried on all ends to figure out a way to know what the advertiser getting an honestly it's been difficult to figure that out but the advertisers continue to want to be a part of it and maybe it's just to be Leaner Act with you folks I don't know but So if if there's good information I'll probably give it to him but I can't imagine there's anything they can use their. So. Again Dental hacks dot com slash podcast survey, and it's a very quick ten question survey. and. We really hope that you'll join in on that and you know get your chance to win a fifty dollar gift card. So I'm not gonNA draw that out anymore I think this is enough for this podcast but please go and do that dental dot com slash podcast survey. We'll talk to you guys next episode and oh I'll take a chance to say this. We love somewhere reviews. Our views are pretty stagnant. We have quite a few I. Think we have more than most podcast, but we don't get them very regularly and I do actually check to see. To See. People leaving our view. So I'm GonNa just sweeten the pot if you leave. A review for us after hearing this podcast and you let me know that it was you I will put your name or email in for two chances to win the So you've got gotta fill out the fill out the survey but you if you leave a review and let me know who it is, you can do that on Info dental dot com or on the facebook group I guess a private message on facebook. Let me know that it was you'll get to entries you'll have twice as likely a chance to win a fifty dollar gift card. From Amazon so there you. FILL OUT THE SURVEY DENTAL DOT com slash podcast survey go leaves review on Itunes or wherever you listen to podcasts. Let me know where it is. So I can see it and. More, chances to win or chance to win. Against sorry that we're not having voice eventually this year pretty sad about that. I think covert has made that essentially impossible I will keep you posted if we do have any kind of get togethers anywhere else I don't know if they're going to have get togethers in in the dental world for awhile but we will keep you posted again. Thanks for listening fill out the survey loser view and we will catch you next.

Technology And The Holidays

"I make this running joke. When i'm out doing networking and stuff and one of my speeches. Are you know if your grandmother consistently buys you. The ugly tie in socks for christmas. It's your fault because you didn't teach them about your amazon wishlist. he'd go. We are looking forward our way. Where in studio see in the five one one studios this is brett and with me as always carol. How are you. I'm good brad. How're you doing great. We are going to have so much fun on this episode. Iv in really excited that we are going to talk about the holidays which are upon us and needless to say you know. It's not going to be easy to buy out there today. Now what are we going to buy. How are we gonna get it. Where's it gonna get shipped to all those questions. So today we are going to focus on our holiday shopping and technology how to use technology. How and what to buy that is technology all right and we brought to the table marianne baillie. She has been strengthening our older adults by teaching them. All the secrets tips and shortcuts on technology. So she's the publisher of an online magazine called the hip senior and also the founder of the company online tech lessons dot com marianne. Thank you for coming along high brett. Thanks for having me girl. Thanks good to finally see you. Yeah i'm excited to be here with you. Guys this is. I said this is going to be fun. You know holiday shopping is just not easy and this year shopping. in general it's just been either Incredibly expensive or a disaster. so what we're trying to is to pack a lot of information for all us and we want to. I hear Before we get into all those details to hear a little bit about your company and the magazine the hip senior magazine. A bit about your background. You know why is it. Important to provide technology information to salt. I'm well i'll start with Back in junior high. When i before i started all this will start back there. And we'll workup to what my current situation is. But when i was in junior high took my first computer class. And i had torn ligaments in my leg. I had go about mile to get there on crutches. I was determined and the senior high. That class was on the third floor and no elevator. There you go so scooting up all my rear end every single day. And i came home at the last day of that class and i told my mom that i wanted to computer and my grandmother lived with us at the time and my mom turned around and she was talking to her and she's a dear mother now. Marianne wants an apple and my grandmother looked at me and she says well. I don't have any apples. But i can make you a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and so even at a young age at instilled in my head somewhere dark down there that that seniors were. We're going to struggle with terminology. And what they're gonna do with computers and how they were going to handle this and my mom was a nurse at a nursing home all these years and and so it's kind of been involved. My brother now plays the Piano at nursing homes so somehow or another we've all kind of become involved with seniors. And when my daughter was really young i had gone back to work as a hewlett packard rep and when i was in the stores learning myself you know and about the new products and everything else. I'd always have seniors asking me. what should i buy. How do i use the word. I learned about this so it's again being reinforced. That seniors. Were really gonna need some help. And then as time went on life evolved for me and decided that it was time for a second career path. My daughter was getting older. And what was i going to do as she. What went that way. And i launched what was then called the senior tutor and that eventually got rebranded into online tech lessons and so i was out of people's homes teaching them how to use technology holding classes with senior centers and senior homes and stuff like that just making sure that people understood the value of being online but also the necessity to do it in a safe way. That kept them and their families safe as well then When covid hit all of a sudden find ways of getting the word out about not only online tech lessons but also different businesses that worked within the the senior realm and so the hip senior magazine was born and It's really needed a magazine online digital so kind of reinforces that how to do things online and it keeps me teaching people. This is how you get online. This is how you read the magazine. These are skills that are being reinforced over and over and over on a daily basis with them and it also has articles in there about healthy living and purchasing stuff and finance and elderlies law stuff and all kinds of stuff like that so hopefully keeps them engaged. Just like your podcast. We you for years As in my previous lifetime as the director of the nonprofit agency Employers would say to me well senior stuff not technology. But i think what you're saying is They know it differently. They've learned it differently because they didn't they weren't born with a iphone in their hand But they can learn and they can utilize it they can learn they do learn most of them want to learn especially right now during times when they can't be out shopping as easily and stuff like that we you know i used to say that it's because of our seniors right now is why we have iphones in our hands. All the time and everything else. They started this trend. They developed the trend. Even here in ohio. You know the the motor plants. Gm and all this other stuff you know. They had big mainframes where they used to get the floppies and have to update them. And all that other stuff and whatever and has evolved it started going into the areas of where they would download it. And that's all they knew. But then when the iphones and the android smartphones came out the tablets of sun things were open ended where anybody could go in there and design product right toward these items and it just exploded and there was no way for seniors to keep us when my when my young cousins are are are acting like. I don't know what i'm doing on technology. I just look at them. Say you know we Create it we gave birth to the internet. So don't don't go there with me. Not only that but we all made it through school with out the credit. They're very true. And we when we consider ourselves to be smarter right right right well you know. Let's review a bit about our first area of interest and we're concerned about holiday shopping and really staying healthy during holiday shopping or just shopping in general The obvious step is to do online as we just talked about We're finding that many older adults are learning to do online shopping by urgent necessity. However what are some tips. You're giving to older adults in using technology for online shopping like the equipments Where to find help and what they should be aware of well. Sometimes people have stuff that they don't realize that they have when it comes to technology they may have a smartphone and they only use it for phone calls or emergency phone calls and they don't realize the power that little phone in their hand does have so the first thing for them to do is stop and make a list of okay. What what i currently do. What do i grocery shop online. Do i use a computer for that. Do i call someone to go shopping for me. You know how do i get my prescriptions and go down to kind of make a list of things on a daily or weekly basis or a monthly basis that they do then to go in and say okay. What do i do. I have a desktop computer and a smartphone. And how often do. I use these items and then to possibly look in there because a lot of times. I'm on the big belief that senior citizens do not necessarily need a laptop or a desktop. If they only do say their grocery shopping online. Or maybe they've from time to time. Look up one or two things on the internet or check their email occasionally because every once in a while maybe once a month or something. Their granddaughter sends them a pitcher or to. You don't need a whole lot of technology for that type of scenario so maybe if a smartphone is too small for them for them to be able to see it clearly and stuff. Maybe a tablet is a good option. You know it's able a little bit bigger depending on what size you can get. You can get up to gush. I've seen huge tablets. That are a little extreme but seen you know. Ten inches is a good size. if someone's kind of visually impaired and they need to be able to see things a little bit bigger Seven inches is a good size. If you wanna able to hold it in your hand and not feel so uncomfortable because they can be a little awkward hold of trying to read stuff for awhile and stuff like that. Then the next option is even some of the chromebooks chromebooks good option. They're light they're small. They can be smaller. They can be the size of a laptop they can also be smaller. The update automatically. You know they don't have to worry about a lot of virus protection and all that stuff going in there and checking for updates. They can use that if the scenario is that they like doing a lot of research just because they're curious or because they want to go in and view a lot of different websites reading about different stuff or a lot of shopping online. It's obviously a lot cleared. See some stuff on like amazon and some of those places right using a bigger screen for that so definitely if they're gonna be on amazon are some of those places you know a tablet or a you know a google chromebook. They're doing more stuff like a lot of zoom calls and a lot of Just there on it a lot. There are probably going to be more comfortable. Maybe sitting at a desk with a comfortable chair or something like that and maybe having a desktop computer with a bigger screen or just even a nice laptop screen. Maybe seventeen inch or something like that. Maybe they don't travel a lot these days. 'cause none of us are right man and said they want something that they can just be comfortable sitting with being able to see inform like that well and if they do have a smartphone and they either bought it themselves or somebody has on their plan. Sometimes you can get a deal on tablets with your smartphone. I did that. My first tablet was. I got it for almost nothing because i bought a new smartphone. Some but you did. They do have to be careful when they do that. Because i know i was with a before sprint and t mobile and they offered me. I think it was like tablets and whatever and i was like okay. But what's the small print. You're really not telling me need to ask those questions. Oh yeah you know what. What am i actually for that. I'm getting this tablet for free but am i. Am i going to have to pay twenty five dollars a month for internet on tallow or is this tablet just wi fi and there's no extra fees and i can just hook it up to the wi fi in my home that already have and and use it that way. Yeah both the time if there's Internet provided if there's you know if it's internet enabled and stuff like that they're gonna charge you a fee without you need. Ask questions and make sure that you're not going to be surprised when you get your bill. Okay so we've got a good Look at the options that Somebody could have for themselves but now we're looking at older adults who needs some hints on what to buy for their children or grandchildren for the holidays You know is there something similar to like a bridal registry mom that they can find out what they want under their christmas tree. There is i m. make this running. When i'm out doing some networking and stuff and one of my elevator. Speeches are you know if your grandmother consistently buys you the ugly tie and socks for christmas. It's your fault because you didn't teach them about your amazon wishlist. He go yes. Yeah so there's websites out there especially like amazon is really big on this. Now keep in mind. I am a big fan of shopping locally. If you know somebody who sells what you're looking for and they've got say you went to your grandsons amazon wishlist and you saw what he wanted and you see oh look. They want xyz whatever that may be. And i know someone down the street who sells that. Go asset person. I hey do you have or call them you know. Do you have a website that i could buy this from from you and shop locally because all the small businesses these days especially in cova times and everything else everybody can use as much help as they get so try to shop locally as much as possible but amazon target. All those are have you know. I don't know you can shop on walmart. You shop on target. You can shop on amazon. But amazon's probably the best known for having their amazon wishlists and so you can ask your children and your grandchildren. Your friends your neighbors. Hey go in there and and share your wishlist with me. Create one share it with me with they do. Is they go in there and they share it. They put their email address. Your email address into it and you receive link saying so and so shared Their amazon wishlist. With you. and that way you can kind of go down and see what what that what. They're interested in very cool times of change. They interests have changed. Nobody wants to sox anymore. Just well saying but it but it's also where A lot of times folks think that if they're going to buy a technology gift it's going to be incredibly expensive when in actuality. There's a lot of little gadgets that the kids love that are ten twenty dollars. There's you know. I of put together a list for you for that on that one Things like fire tv tablets off from amazon fifty bucks. You can get a tablet for fifty dollars. These days You know there there. Are the smaller. you know. seven inch ones. that are easy to handle. Whatever but right now. I looked up before i came here. There are fifty dollars on on amazon. Right now Everybody's into fits these days. They wanna know how many steps they've walked. How far they're going and what their heart rate is and stuff like that. So fitbit's those range anywhere from twenty nine dollars of three hundred twenty nine dollars sometimes a couple of hundred he. People don't need really expensive ones right you know. Even there's some out there that are less expensive that will even show Text messages and stuff when you get them on your phone so you don't have to have really expensive in order to get some of those features and then the other thing that i recommend that everybody have is in and you don't have to have them on all the time or or even you know. Use it for everything but has alexa and alexa dots. You now you can get one. I think i saw one online today for thirty nine dollars. Do oh lexa may be on my list. She should be very well. You know if if you can't do the amazon list and you're you're kind of hard pressed for a wishlist. Let's talk about as you just mentioned what's going to be flying off the shelf this year. You may be a probably more tuned to what you're seeing and reading that's gonna be hot technology pieces that maybe as grandparents should kind of keep your eye on kinda going okay. That johnny wants that. Let me keep an eye on that put you know. Put it on the list for myself to see it coming up. So are there things that you're seeing in you know including dude but i guess virtual command devices. I guess they're called There's going to be as we just mentioned probably hop some other things too you know. Probably those three items. I just mentioned are probably the top of my list when when i think people what they're looking for these days You know when it comes to alexa you know. Even putting alexa has an Alexa echo auto can't believe it's called which is a small little echo that That goes in your car so And people think oh. That's silly but it you know. I recently used a chunk earlier. When i went to california You'd be surprised that when you're in an area that you're not familiar with how just being able to open your mouth and ask a question you know. Hey we're whereas the next turn. Or how do i get to the next local coffee shop or whatever it be Can be very helpful for stuff. Like that I think devices are kind of interesting because they're one step away from you actually doing the same thing on your phone. Your phone can do that already. It's just y- not really thinking about that. Where did the other dot sitting in your home. And you're talking to her ham and asking a question you know what the. You're one step away from actually doing that with your phone because your phone can do the same thing your phone can do. The same is somewhat. You know that it goes commands and asking questions so all of a sudden you're teaching yourself another device while you have one in your home you are you absolutely. Are the nice thing about having things like that in your home. Is that when your hands are full. And you've got hooked up to turn your lights on. A mother comes home. She's got three little kids that she's been out grocery shopping with and or running errands. Picking everybody up from school. The days are getting shorter. Coming up soon here. unfortunately In our hands are full you know just being able to say alexa. Turn on the lights. You know senior citizen coming home and saying you know Elect getting up in the middle of the night. Have knees the restroom. And sometimes people put lying like the path to the bathroom with those little Rope lights and you can tie those into alexa own and so alexa. Turn on the bathroom. Lights would kind of give them guide of how to get to the bathroom without having to turn on these fulbright's and really wake up and stuff like that. He's oh you know what. I'm thinking too and not sure if this happens to other folks are it's something i did but If i use. Gps on my phone in a car. That's not my car. It works and talks to me but because my phone is connected to my car it turns off the sound of the gps. Oh i that happened to me on the way here today. I know exactly what your problem is. The answer yes what happens. Is your your car. Probably has bluetooth right okay. So if you're listening to the radio and your phone linked up to your car via bluetooth there's another setting in there where you have to go instead of like a m another one is your actual radio is your actual phone and so you have to go in there and set it to your phone. So that setting is hearing your phone writing those commands. I figured it was setting. However i don't want to have to turn it on and off all the time that's the thing so and and chances are particularly if i'm home i'm here in columbus I don't need the gps. Where i do need my phone to work in the radio to work and that kinda thing but While i was out of town earlier this year and my eps was perfect. And i'm like well. Why doesn't it work on my car. And then all of a sudden had it's the so. Yeah yeah it's it's the bluetooth noticed. Today i went in there and had a turn off my bluetooth. And then when i have it plugged in my car recognizes. That my phone is plugged in through the system recognizes. What type of phone it is. And it's still runs it through that way so i have to not be charging for for my phone. He'd be able to hear it as well. So you just kinda have to you know play with what your settings are and figure out what your settings on your phone aright and sometimes some people need some help with that kind of stuff so exactly well and you know what that makes sense too. Because i have been on the phone. Or i've been on. Gps and i'm only looking at the screen. It's not talking to me. But i get a phone call so while i'm talking to that person i can hear the gps. It's talking over the phone as postal over the car radio so anyway well that that was. That's why i need an alexa for my car. Brett christmas is coming are you. Is that a hint hint. Sure they even have house some. Gps they even have gps. Where alexa built into that they hang from kind of like a by the rear view mirror and stuff and they'll show you directions whatever and speak those to you but alexis built into that so you you asking questions as well like hey alexa. What's next. turn or you know how far away. Till till i get there or whatever so you just kind of have to see what's i'll take care of my wishlist. My amazon wishlist. Share it with everybody. I know we were talking. The virtual command devices. Are there some tips of what we ought to be looking at when you go by one in regards to wi fi connection. It's some technical maybe get into the weeds a little bit so you kind of at least are educated on the terminology. You're gonna see on the box. They you know what's going to work at home so one of the things that you have to do is mary. You're going to be buying device and that could be There when you look on amazon there are probably fifty different devices. you could be buying And then all different kinds of brands tied into that. And they come out with Things with screens on them. So you have to kind of decide what your needs are do you just do just want device to ask questions or do you want a device that you can see videos on or The there's a alexa shadow. That has a screen on it and has a camera built into it so you can ask it like hey. How do i cook macaroni and cheese. And it's going to show you some recipes and then it'll even show you some videos on how to how to cook these recipes type stuff but then also has a camera built into it so say grandma has one of these and the grandson at college has one of these and then this grandsons parents. They all three have that they can all hop on and drop in on grandma and be able to check on her and see her right through the system. facebook has one of these as well I'm not sure what. Google has out right now as far as screen wise with cameras bill to it and stuff like that so but it doesn't just stop by like brett. Said you have to have more detail stuff you have to have wifi in your home with us and that can come from various number sources whether it's your cable provider so if you have cable tv whether it be like spectrum or comcast or whoever it is these days You've gotta have wifi set up in your home for that device to connect to so when you take it out. You're not just going to be connecting it to the wi fi. You actually have to have the alexa program on a tablet a computer or a phone Soot hooked up to help. Connect that product to the wifi. So there's kind of you know. Like i said it just depends on what you need and and what it is that you already have depending on what else you're going to have to add to. The scenario must people that have had experience having a laptop or something like that already have wi fi if you have internet and it's wired and you don't know if you have wifi my best advice is to call your provider of your internet and say do i have this I've noticed a lot of people. Lately that have internet have speeds that are faster available to them but when we went from having like comcast or something like that in the area and upgrade maybe the spectrum there stolen the old plans and they haven't been upgraded or maybe they're they're router and their mode of haven't been upgraded for a while and so maybe wi fi is automatically available to them. They just don't have it yet and it just takes a phone call and sometimes these plans when they call them they can actually save themselves money because sometimes their plans or the old plans and they're paying too much so they can go from having say thirty megabytes per second for internet down up to one hundred or two hundred and one couple that i did went from that same scenario. They have thirty. They went to two hundred in cincinnati and save themselves thirty dollars. A month isn't it. Yeah so just make a call and find out you know. Hey i need. I need wifi because i'm trying to have alexa. And what can i do for that. Well if you've come a little short term thing you could do a hotspot off your phone but that's not a scenario you wanna do a regular basis. Yeah sometimes if you have one in your car you can link to your hotspot. If you're just gonna be asking occasional questions or stuff like that But also It's it's not ideal at home at all right great well and also you know we need to be selfish. Maybe think about ourselves for to buying technology As an older adult. What would you suggest that you look for as a tech gift for yourself. I know we talked about a tablet an l. Let's go a little bit deeper in the tablet. I think sometimes we don't realize what all the things we can do. With a tablet. We talked a little bit about it but there are a lot of things that come with that like e books and such skin stig into that. Yeah and you know when we say tablet we also are including i. I just say tablet as a general. It's kind of like saying coke for so also does and that kind of depends where it where what area of town you're in and who you're talking to type of thing. So when i say tablet. I also mean things like ipads and stuff like that. And that's something to consider too is if you have an iphone you know. D want that whole. Irs experience where they linked together. And they all update. And you can get text messages on your ipad along with your iphone and stuff like that I have an iphone. I have an ipad recently. Knows like my phone was dead. I went to plug it in. I still get text messages on my ipad so having that kind of environment all mixed together you know if you've got an android maybe you wanna get like a fire tv or even a little bit more expensive tablet But you can do so many things on tablets these days like you said from from reading e books a yeah. I subscribe to amazon's kindle unlimited for ten dollars a month i can read thousands and thousands of books completely for fruit for that. Ten dollars The nice thing about that is if i get into a book and it's just not doing it for me. I can switch to another book and not feel guilty about paying for that book and then moving on to another one and they have lots and lots under the unlimited Label right now being able to go in there and watch. Tv on your tablet. you know. Maybe if you're sick or not feeling well you're laying in bed and you don't have a tv in your bedroom or something just being able to prop up your tablet and being able to watch tv or net flicks movies and stuff like that listening to music again. People sometimes a necessity for them. Their technology needs are. Maybe just a tablet you know being able to check their bank account balance on their or being able to read their emails or these days even being able to hop on somebody and being on there so almost everything you can do on a laptop. You could do with a bullet. I say this really being a great opportunity for energy inter inter generational discussions and. Let's say grandma and grandpa talking to the grandkids about what technology they're using and having a really kind of a neat discussion about why are using that. I'm thinking about getting an ipad and they're gonna jump right in kindergarten. Grandma you should. This is what you can do. And all of a sudden they're bonding on a whole different level that you're learning as a grandparent or an older dot. Whatever the case might be about what they're doing that ipad air explaining how to do things in their level that you probably can understand totally an understanding. Now you get the concept of wi fi you get the concept of. Oh it's just opening an app. And i can read a book in there showing you right there right. What a great opportunity. I think to that When we were younger and computers were just coming out We had more not just interest but Curiosity about how to make things work and it's gotten to be so complicated. I think a lot of folks are afraid to be curious because they think they're gonna kill it. I remember buying my mom a computer and she just pulled it out boxes. Put it on the desk. Put it all together okay. you're ready at. She looked at me like well. Will i break it. No and i think too that having those conversations and maybe if the parents prepped the grand children a little bit to say keep it easy. Keep it at a level so that you're teaching somebody a little step at a time. You're the grandparents are gonna learn that stuff. Yeah that's exactly. What i thought about as bright was saying his scenario with the grandkids and stuff. Because what is i found a lot of my clients. Tell me is that. I don't just teach them how to use an app on a device. I give them the courage to push the buttons to figure out what the apps do right because a lot of times. They'll be like. Hey what does that undue and all act stupid. And i'm like i don't know let's push find out because especially on a tablet or smartphone. It's first of all. It's really hard to screw them up. Second of all if you do it's really easy to reset them back to factory and start over because all your apps are already on the cloud you the system knows what you've used and what you need to download again and you might need some a little bit of help with someone helping you to figure out how exactly to do that. But it only takes a few minutes to do that and then however long the sign back into all your apps and like that. That's the worst part of it is making sure that you are keeping good information and a little black notebook somewhere as to what your loggins are and what your passwords are for those loggins. Because i know that when i go out to help people. That's what the majority of time my first visit with them is or if we're hopped on zoom or something is is okay. We've got a reset this program with you know you've got to log into this program what they don't know their passwords right so i mean i can't tell you how many seniors i have brought with me after a phone call with them a little black notebook and i'm like here right down your information in here because i go out there. They've got on their desks while these little piles of paper with with you know snippets of passwords and stuff like that all over the place and like that's you you can't be. He can't do that so i give them a little black notebook and i'd ask them to write their information in here whenever notes we learn from that lesson and then tuck that book away somewhere. Don't leave it sitting there with your computer because knock on wood. God forbid if you were to have your home Broken into and they stole your computer. You don't wanna give them your passwords to your banking information all that right there next to it right so tech that away. Hopefully maybe in a locked box or a locked drawer somewhere. Just somewhere where. It's not obvious with that computer as well. Well this has been wonderful. So this is exciting. And i'm really I kinda thinking that all of our listeners are ready to put their amazon list together of the toys that they would like for christmas and now know that they can share those wish wishlist with their grandchildren and get people something they want. As opposed to a shirt and tie which. That's good There are a lot of resources on learning about technology. And we're gonna have on our show notes all the information about your company and what people can can do You know not only finding out in the magazine. The hip senior but also in online Tech lessons but we don't know who's out there listening to us. They may not be here in central. Ohio are there other resources and places. They should look to get information about technology. Well i if they go online to online tech lessons dot com they they can get me nationwide so i am available on zoom and facebook. Whatever they want to go nationwide their next steps would be checking out their libraries to see if there the librarian there. helped seniors with online lessons. Even if they can if they're not doing it in there right now And possibly calling some of the schools effects your next option as as maybe finding some of the High school kids that are willing to work with senior. Sometimes some of the high schools have programs that are said of exactly for that they were going out to senior homes and teaching classes and working with them one on one. Obviously i don't think any senior homes are letting people in on that kind of scenario right now but you might be able to find Some of those type of groups like that that are even working with them on zoom. I think Another huge opportunity at least here in central ohio are the nonprofit that do the teaching some computer training until it as you had said before people really need to think about what it is. They want what they need Somebody may get a tablet. And say i want wanna learn more but i also wanna learn how to use word and there are lots of free classes that are out there to teach to teach folks some different courses Ohio means jobs has online training. Also does class state have actual courses. But i think that there are incredible number of places like with you that people can learn technology online and for for free or very low cost there are and you know the one one thing if i had a say something to somebody that we wanted to teach somebody or senior how to use technology is to actually slowdown. Speak slower with them and use simple words with them when it comes to technology. Don't go over their heads because he will lose them in a heartbeat and be able to Just step by step. Show them things and then allow them to do it. So many people say oh my grandkids would be would show me this but they just take the device and they do it for me and then they give it back to me exact and so people really need to slow down and just hand them a device and say okay here you do it. Let me let me tell you what to push. And then you do it. And then the senior being brave enough to be able to push buttons and say oh. That's i don't wanna use that app and then maybe somebody showing them how to delete apps. The other thing is for someone to when they're setting up these tablets with them as to take everything off of the tablet And put it on a different page and on the front page. Have the the apps that they know how to use and they're going to use on the front page. They're not confused by all the other clutter and then having On the pages those some of the apps that they might be interested in so that they can go in and play around with those when they have time. I do that already on my phone. Force gonna say even phone to my gosh not even tablet the new iphone I think it's ios s. Fourteen just came out and they actually took and put you know. We saw have to kind of make folders and put into these folders all of our banking information all our music and stuff like that into folder. So that everything just wasn't spread everywhere and the new out update for ios. Fourteen actually puts things in folders kind of like Android does where it has all of your stuff on one thing. They're kind of by. Google stuff is together. My samsung samsung stuff is to i. O s. fourteen actually just did that most clients that our seniors have have iphone. Suss while i'm talking about that. Even though i'm a big android fan as well But they kind of gruesome into onto one page into folders and then now you can just put the ones that you want on your main folder. So we'll get. Thanks for joining us today. I think i'm better prepared for the holiday season. I know that i'm of listeners. Will be too. I don't know. I don't know if you need another person to talk to. I think i think i need a wishlist on amazon. I'm going to share it with a longer lunch break to put that wish to gather there. You go wonderful maryanne. Thank you so much. It was great to meet you finally and also to talk with you today. Hey i am so honored to be here. I appreciate you guys have me on the show.

iCracked - what to do about phone screens

"Hiring is challenging, but there's one place you can go. We're hiring is simple and smart. That place is ZipRecruiter, where growing businesses. Connect to qualified candidates. Try it for free at ZipRecruiter dot com slash tech. Talk ZipRecruiter, the smartest way to hire. Most people who have a smartphone have cracked the screen at some point in their life, I do. At least one year and a lot of other people do it as well. I just did a piece for USA day about why screens or cracking more often than not. And it's an obvious reason. I'm here with Madeline Perdue, who has joined USA day for the summer as an intern and a sounding board for me on podcasts and we're going to talk about it, Mattie. Do you know why phones or cracking more often article? So now I don't because they're small because there's Finnur lighter and easier to not disturb. Yeah. They're nice durable. So they're cracking. And there's a whole cottage industry as I'm sure, you know, that has grown up of all these independent repair shops that will fix the phone for you for a much lower rate than apple and I did a deep dive into the math of. Apple care, which is a hundred and twenty nine dollars for the older phone, and you only pay twenty nine dollars to get it repaired. Sounds pretty good. But if you go to you break, I fixed it's v. It's eighty nine dollars. So it's always gonna be cheaper to get it repaired then to pay for the insurance. That's my experience. The second thing this is big on the new phones three hundred and twenty nine dollars to fix the screen. Yeah. So what I learned is get a screen protector by from zag. I haven't tried it yet. But a lot of the experts, I spoke to said, definitely get the screen protector. That goes over the glass could really save it now. I, I had a really great crash a few weeks ago, I was in Madrid, and I was shooting time lapse in the morning and I had sided the phone on a tripod and then it started pouring rain. And so I stopped it and grabbed the phone from the tripod it just went straight down onto the the gravel to the concrete and. When two little pieces, tell everybody about your mother case. My mom has a cracked phone screen. She got it because she was at the grocery store, and she had her grocery listener hand and she turned the phone over on the handle to push the car, and it cracked screen. Well, yeah, and what did she do together fish because she had just got the phone from we just switched over to t mobile, and so she just on the phone, and she kind of is still too busy to figure it out. She hasn't done anything about it yet, but she's done it before. We've gone to one of those independent repair shops around the corner and Alan was really great. But I've heard horror stories from my friends about bubbles on the screen or like some parts of it. Not working still and things. Yeah. For our fit. Most people the crack the screen never get him fixed. Yeah. Right. It's like splintering into their thumbs or something on the crack iphone. I was getting glass in my fingers. Yeah. That was a little uncomfortable. Also, I couldn't use the camera. Oh, well, that's crack so bad that I couldn't use the camera, which was very weird. Yeah. But so. Yeah. Anyway, so zag makes the screen protector is highly recommended for a bunch of the experts. I spoke to I vote against apple care, because I think it's cheaper to get the phone repaired, unless you have the iphone ten s max, where no independent repair star will even repair it. Because the costs are so prohibited. It's three hundred twenty nine dollars. But you might try the disaster and see how that goes on Jefferson Graham with USA day, you've been listening to talking tech. Look for me on Twitter at Jefferson. Grammy may disagree with everything I said or agree. And you can also find Mattie at Madeline Perdue, he you are. He you on Twitter. Thanks for listening. 587-Credit Card Debt Is A Very Safe Form of Debt

"Aw, what can a radical personal finance a show dedicated to providing you with the knowledge skills, insight and encouragement. You need to live a rich and meaningful life. Now while building a plan for financial freedom in ten years or less, my name is Joshua, I'm your host today. We continue our credit cards series. I introduced the series last week with a discussion on credit cards, credit card debt on Friday. We did like alive, q&a entirely devoted to credit cards. I hope he really enjoyed that. I enjoyed the diversity of questions that we received. And today we continue that series because this is launch week for my newest course called how to borrow money and never pay interest using credit card. Sorry, can't even get my title, right? How to borrow money safely and never pay interest using credit cards. I struggled and struggled with wordsmith on that on that course title. I don't know if that's the best maybe I'll be able to come up with another better title in the future, but it just encompasses the three things that I want you to be aware of, which is that credit cards can be a very safe way for you to borrow. Oh money, depending on how we define the term safe. They can also be a very inexpensive way of borrowing money with no interest payments. Very low interest payment. If you know what you're doing. And of course we're using credit cards. Now, those are some big ifs, but I'm very confident and I stand behind the validity of these strategies. They are carefully researched their things that I have done that I used to think everybody did when I was in credit card debt. I played zero percent credit card game, and I thought everybody knew how to play it. And I learned over time frankly, that nobody knows how to play it very well on air. Excuse me, I've only a very few people know how to play it. And so this course kind of synthesizes some things that I've never seen brought together before an understanding of credit scores, how credit scores work, how credit cards are issued and then understanding of the legality of how to position yourself for maximum safety, using credit cards. So this week we're going to be continuing this series. And the bulk of this week will be dedicated to sharing with you excerpts and a specific audio ex. From the course I'm going to have today in today's show is going to continue that I have about ten or fifteen minutes sales pitch here for you at the beginning, which you'll, you'll find interesting stay with me because I really want you to buy the course, but I want you to have a good solid understanding of it so that you can understand if it's right for you. And then towards the back end of today's audio, I'm going to share with you the first audio excerpt from the course which is called credit card debt is very safe form of debt sharing with you. Part of my arguments for credit cards. Tomorrow I'm going to be sharing with you an audio excerpt called credit card. Loans can provide a way to privately purchased goods and services. One of the benefits of credit cards alluded to this in the Friday in show, but I'm going to give you the entire audio from the core specifically from the course Wednesday will share with you a segment called how to manage cash while you pay off your credit cards. I think you'll find that very helpful because unfortunately, if you don't know this in advance what you wind up really getting hurt, many people who wind up. Deeply in credit card debt wind up there with no cash to their name. That's a bad place to be. As you'll see in that in that segment on Thursday to be sharing with you a show called who shouldn't have credit cards, or frankly, who shouldn't take my course because there are people I believe, who shouldn't have credit cards, and then I didn't. This is not part of the actual course. This is just going to be a standalone podcast. And then on Friday, I'll be bringing to you one more live QNA call, which will be all about credit cards with specific questions and answers and specific strategies for anyone who has purchased the course that that particular live QNA call will be available to anybody who has a student of the course if you'd like to get on that, we'll have as much time as you want to talk about your situation, brainstorm ideas and strategies that will help you. Now I'm gonna give you hear about, like I said, about ten minutes of discussion on the course, and here's why I have a challenge with being a podcast host and the challenges you're listening to me at a time where it's not easy for you to. Oh, and send me money. You're listening to me while you drive down the road, you can't Pulo or you could, but you're unlikely to pull over and take out your credit card and sign up for my course on your phone, you're listening to me while you're running through the local park, getting your morning, exercise or pumping iron in the gym. And so I need to give you enough information here so that you'll be incentivized this week to go and to buy my course. And I really want you to do that because I believe this will serve you, and it will help you save money really, really feel good about the value that I have created for you. So who should buy this particular course? Well, very simply if you currently have a credit card of any kind, or if in the future you think you might ever have a credit card of any kind. I recommend to you my course now does not hyperbole. I'm not engaging in puffery here. I, I'm sincere about this. I want to deliver huge amounts of. Value in everything that I do if you've listened to the show, you know that that one of my things that I try do my very best is to deliver far more than I ever charged. And I have put that same theory that same. Impetus into this course. Most of us bumbled into credit card debt. Most of us don't approach the the. The prospect vary with any forethought the way that most of us wind up signing up for credit card is out of a place of convenience as in, hey, I- Mateen and they started sending me credit card notices that was my first credit card or out of a place of need as in, hey, I just lost my job or, hey, I want to buy something and I don't have the money. So I'll just sign up for a zero percent, introductory rate, credit card. Or worse, just deeply in debt and trying to figure out how to get out. And we usually bumble in, I've hardly met the person who could accurately explain to me the benefits and drawbacks of a credit card. What happens is depending on her own experience, we tend to highlight one thing versus another. For example, some people say, well, I love using my credit card because I get all kinds of airline miles and airline points. I've talked to so many people and studied their spending, and I'm convinced they spend so much more money on their credit card. Then the ever get benefit from the airline miles and their cashback points. There are good studies to demonstrate that the show that the actual value that most people receive from those types of programs is very, very low. Now, it doesn't have to be that way. You could compare people like I've sat with who have one credit card and it goes for their favorite airline and they just use it for everything. And that's their goal. If you compare that with somebody who's very strategic about the credit card churning game and applying for ten fifteen twenty twenty five credit cards per year. In order to get the airline point in the hotel points, there's no difference this. There's no comparison between the benefit that these people get. But what makes the difference is the the plan and the strategy. So there are people who are necessary ration-, but then there are also people who wind up deeply in credit card debt was very high interest rates in there so burned by the industry that they swear. I'm never again going to borrow money on credit cards while I'm sympathetic to that position, but don't think that it was necessarily either or part of the reason why you have very high interest rates is because you're simply ignorant of how the industry works. You don't know how to make the industry work for you. So instead of you being able to exploit the credit card industry for your own benefit, you are being exploited. You don't know the rules of the game. You don't know what goes on your credit score. You don't know how to improve your credit score. You don't know how to apply for credit cards in a way that will actually serve you. And because of that, you wind up being abused by the industry and I want to help avoid that. So I wanna give. The education that you need to avoid being abused by the industry and also possibly to help other people. Now, a lot of times by the time people admit to you that they need help. Frankly, it's too late now they can improve situations and I should. I should note that even if you've done everything poorly up till now, you can always improve the credit card industry is a very responsive industry. You can make major changes in your credit score in a relatively short period of time over a period of a few years. You can make dramatic improvements in your credit score. In the more you improve your credit score, the more offers are available. The more the industry exists for you. It's a multibillion dollar industry that just wants to lend you money at cheap rates, but you need to know how to use it. Now, this particular course, again, this called how to borrow money safely. Never pay interest using credit cards. This course are currently has about forty five lessons in these lessons are anywhere from six to twelve to fifteen minutes long. I would guess didn't go back and measure every minute, but I think it's about four hours. Total of audio instruction is. Is very carefully edited. There's no time-wasting there's no rambling. There's no repetition. It's very carefully edited with edited with what I thought is the most important things for you to know into implement in your life. The courses is a series of video and audio lectures. The video and audio are together and there are detailed written outlines that you can have to refer back to as well to make a very efficient use of your time. This course is is it will equip you with the knowledge. You need to be competent in the credit card business. I'm selling the course for thirty nine dollars thirty. Nine dollars is the standard retail price. I am hosting a one week promo introductory period for the next week. I'll give you a ten dollar discount on it. So for the next week until Monday, October fifteen, two thousand eighteen until Monday, October fifteen. Two thousand eighteen this course. You can buy it for twenty nine dollars. And there's no question in my mind that you'll get multiple more than ten times value out of your expenditure. Of the twenty nine dollars consider this many people will pay in the on the credit cards about eighteen percent. Interests that's not uncommon. Now, of course you can get credit cards that are lower, but most people will wind up. If you actually look and read the terms on your card, it most people will wind up with a credit card that pays about eighteen percent interest. Twenty nine dollars is of quivalent to one month's interest payment on a one thousand nine hundred and thirty dollar credit card debt. So let's just round up for easy. Verbal math, two thousand bucks twenty nine bucks is a quivalent to one month's interest eighteen percent on a two thousand dollar credit card debt. Now, if you studied the numbers on the amount of debt credit card debt that the average American household holds the median debt per household of all households is two thousand three hundred dollars. Now, again, remember median means fifty percent of households have more than this number fifty percent of households have less than this number. This is not a number that skewed by the big balances. It's the media number, which is usually the most. Realistic accurate number to work from. So the median debt primerica houses about two thousand three hundred dollars on credit cards. Now, the mean debt, the average debt per American household is five thousand seven hundred dollars, but if we take out all the households that don't carry credit card debt, the average for credit card balance carrying households is about nine thousand three hundred dollars in the United States. Nine thousand three hundred dollars. So if you run the math trying to give you a killer of a deal. 'cause I really want you to buy this course if you run the math twenty, nine bucks, we'll save you potentially a lot of money. If you can cut that interest rate from eighteen percent to zero percent, three percent to five percent by understanding what you're doing and how to play the credit card game, I can save you huge amounts of money. I really wanna encourage you. So here's how you buy all this information is in the show notes. Very simple just one link, but I want to give it to you here verbally so that when you're done driving or when you're done working out, you actually. This audio comes with both audio and video on in the course with a detailed outline, but you'll just hear the audio here. It's called credit card debt is very safe form of debt. Enjoy this particular module, which is an excerpt from my case for credit cards in the very beginning of the course. What about credit card debt? Because of course, many people use credit cards and never accumulate credit card debt. They simply pay the balance in full when it is, do we'll credit card debt is a very safe form of debt. If you consider the actual fundamental attributes of the type of debt represented by credit card debt, I most importantly, credit card debt is unsecured debt. This means that there is no specific collateral tied to the debt. It's unsecured debt. Other types of debt are indeed issued with direct collateral. For example, if you purchase a car using a car loan, the terms of the car loan that you agree to with the lender will indicate that the car is to serve as collateral four, the financial loan. And in that debt. Agreement with the lender. They have the right if you don't make your payments as agreed. They have the right to send the repo man to hook up the car in your driveway or in the parking lot at work and drag it back to them and they don't have to go to a court or get a judge's approval or have any interaction with law enforcement. They don't have to notify you in any way. They just send the repo man and the car disappears. That's because the car is serving as collateral for the debt. Another example, of course, it'd be a mortgage if you don't pay a home mortgage as agreed, the lender has the right to foreclose on you fairly quickly. And if they foreclose on your house, they can victory forcibly from the house repossess the house and sell it because the house serves as collateral for the debt. That's very different than credit card debt. Because credit card debt is issued with no direct collateral. It's a naked promised to pay. If you default on the debt. Well, the items that you purchased with your credit card are not directly attachable by your creditor. They can't show up and because you swipe the card and used it to buy a backyard firepit. They can't send the repo man in the middle of the night and take the backyard firepit right out of your backyard. There is the opportunity at the end of a long line of legal dispute where they can come after you. If they have a legal judgment and seek to take your property as settlement and payment for the money that you owe them. But that is not a direct relationship. If you are late on your credit card debt, or if you don't pay your credit card debt, they can't automatically come and take the items that you purchased. This is a significant measure of safety that many people just simply ignore if I were choosing to buy a car and I didn't. Have the cash to pay for it. And I were offered the ability to either take out a five or ten thousand dollar car loan or to take a five or ten thousand dollar cash advance on a credit card. Either way I could buy the car, but I personally would choose to take the five or ten thousand dollar cash advance on a credit card. Because if I run into financial trouble and unable to pay that debt in a timely manner, I have a much greater safety with the credit card debt because they can't send the repo man to take the car. So at least I will still be able to use the car to get to work to earn the money that I need to earn in order for me to be able to pay back the debt. Instead of all of a sudden finding myself in a difficult financial situation. And now the repo man took my car so I can't get to work. Now, the major caveat here as we will discuss is the potential risk and the potential higher interest cost of credit card debt versus Car Loans. But that's what this entire courses about. Because if you have good credit, you can purchase that car using a cash advance and pay a very, very low, almost zero. Percent, effective interest rate. Credit card debt because it's unsecured debt is very, very safe. Additionally, credit card debt is a type of debt that can generally be fully discharged in bankruptcy. Now, the specific details of a bankruptcy court will depend on the specific situation of the debtor and the complex mix of assets and the type of bankruptcy protection being sought by the debtor, but of all the types of debt that you could have mortgage debt, car, debt, private loans, credit cards, credit card debt is some of the safest debt because it can generally be fully discharged in bankruptcy. One of the most infamous types of debt that cannot be discharged in federal bankruptcy court is student loan debt. If I owe ten thousand dollars in student loans and I go through bankruptcy court on the other side of bankruptcy court, I will continue to that ten thousand dollars in student loans. So if I were personally choosing to go to school and I were choosing to borrow money to pay for my school expenses, I would rather put those school expenses on a credit card versus a student loan because the credit card debt, if I were in a worst case scenario and forced to declare bankruptcy that credit card debt would be fully discharged in bankruptcy, whereas the student loan debt would not be discharged. These are examples of why credit card debt is a very safe form of debt. The credit card default process is a very reasonable process. When you actually look at the details and you are able to enjoy a significant amount of protection as a debtor in this process. I, if you default on your credit card debt, you won't immediately face legal problems. You will merely face significantly higher borrowing costs and a civil dispute with your credit card company, but you won't immediately face legal problems. You haven't broken any laws by being late on a credit card payment. You've simply broken the contract, and now the credit card issuing company will respond by assessing penalties and fees, but it's important to be able to stay out of court. And as we'll discuss in a moment because the credit card process of settling that dispute is very long, you'll have ample time. To be able to settle your problems with your lender while still being able to stay out of court credit card issuers are frequently reasonable and willing to reduce the penalties and fees. They've levied upon you for being late on your debt, and often they're even willing to settle that debt with you when you're able to make significant payments to them. So in a worst case scenario where you have defaulted on your debt, you can reasonably expect to work with those credit card issuers and settle the affair out of court as you're able to put together the money and pay them what you owe. You can settle that out of court, which is helpful. And very importantly, given the nature of credit card debt collections, the pathway through a lawsuit and potential legal judgment is a very long pathway which gives you ample time to generate. The money that you need to repay your loans and settle with your creditors out of court, thus avoiding legal trouble. So the actual process of default, in addition to your having significant legal protections because it's unsecured debt. The actual normal process is very reasonable, and it gives you the time that you need in a worse case scenario to put together the money and pay your creditors. Thus being able to avoid legal problems and along the way you can continue to use the assets that you've purchased or the services that you've purchased with the credit card in order to help you stay out of court and to help you put the money together in order for you to be able to pay your debts. So the credit card debt itself is a very safe form of debt. That was the excerpt directly from the course now please. A radical personal finance dot com. Slash credit card course sign up by the course. It's usually thirty nine bucks do it in the next week until October fifteen. Two thousand eighteen use the coupon code. Credit card. Ten ten spelled out t. e. n. credit card. Ten save ten bucks brings you total cost down to twenty nine dollars. Thank you.

164: iPhone Screen Repairs Have Just Been Changed Forever

"Starting today. Apple is making it easier for you to get your iphone screen repaired. Hey, I'm ready Richie. Welcome back to vector. Thanks for watching. Let's get into it over the years. Eyestone screen repairs have become increasingly complex early on. It could be a matter of whether or not the part of the casing that slid off was on the front or the back. But as displays became laminated as biometric security required securely paired hardware components as wider gamut, necessitated individual color, calibration as three d touch meant. It had to be calibrated for three d. precisely where you touched. And as more advanced sensors demanded more exacting. Alignments a lot more work had to be done to ensure a high quality functional repair so much. So in fact, apple had hardware devices installed at all retail locations and certified service enters to do the job better and faster than your average human could until today. Right now as you're watching this apple is in the process of making a change. One as simple and as profound as moving the previous calibration process from hardware to software in a partner. Communication, I managed to get a glance at apple is telling it service providers. This apple is excited to announce that we have optimized iphone display calibration to support your work in conducting an in-store display repair, beginning September, seventeen, three touch calibration fixtures will no longer be required to complete display repairs for phone success. And later we have optimized to calibration process using software. This means we can now calibrate repaired iphone by simply connecting the device and running our calibration diagnostics without the need to run it through a separate fixture. This change will create more flexible workspace in many repair rooms. Most importantly, it will save time for you and our customers by moving the process from hardware to software. It won't just open up space in existing workshops the reduced time and expense should. Hopefully open up the process itself to even more workshops. So the certified repairs with certified parts become available to more people in more places. It's part of Apple's ongoing initiative to better protect customers and the environment by making products that don't just work better, but last longer everything from twelve working on all I phones going back to the five s to alchemy up stronger forms of aluminum, steel and glass to making repairs increasingly easier and more affordable. And because they last longer you can keep using them and keeping using them is the best thing for the planet. This move won't satisfy everyone right to repair is complicated often contentious. I'm not talking about the extremes on either side. People who want to get your attention or sell you something by telling you everything should be hermetically sealed or on the opposite end, bloated out twice the size and weight. So you can get in there with their expensive LEGO. I'm talking about people who simply want to have quality parts available. Affordable prices so they can keep their stuff working and keep themselves safe. It's a step, but it's one of many that still needs to come earlier this week. Apple also announced a permanent reduction in the cost of I phone battery replacements. Previously, apple dropped the price from seventy nine dollars to twenty nine dollars for anyone affected by performance waddling on several recent models that runs out at the end of the year. But from January one, twenty nineteen and on the price for out of warranty battery replacement will change again to forty nine dollars for older models and sixty nine dollars for iphone ten or later. And that's critical because lithium ion batteries, which can be dramatically flammable really aren't something anyone should want to screw around with in the US. Apple is also making apple care plus available on a monthly payment plan. In addition to the traditional lump sum up front, it's great for people who want the protection but can't afford to pay for all of it at the time of purchase apples. Also expanding apple care plus with optional theft and loss protection. It costs more, but it's. Better than traditional carrier insurance plans. Because if something ever happens, there are no police reports to file or hoops to jump through. Thanks to find my iphone, which has to be a neighbor at the time of purchase. Apple knows your iphone is gone and that you've removed it from your account and wiped it that's faster and more convenient than filing reports and waiting for results for everyone. I know not everybody thinks it's worth it, but I get apple care plus for everything. A few years ago, I was at a New Year's Eve party when some fireworks misfired. One of them hit me in the chest singed my jacket and then fell onto my iphone. And melted the phobic coating basically turned it into sandpaper as soon as the apple store reopened, I took it in the genius on duty, a short lecture at the better take care of my possessions, despite my protests that the iphone leaped in front of me to robotically save me from explosive injury and then promptly captured it for the engineers back in Cupertino, whom I'm guessing had never previously included particular test in their sweet and cloud. Log in and half an hour later, and I left the store with a brand new version of what was essentially and identical copy of my phone with all of my stuff on it ready and able to get on with my life, not everyone has the same level of experience and not every time as apple scales is going to be an ongoing challenge to scale quality and speed and capacity of service as well. But I think steps moving screen, calibration from big expensive hardware to more widely accessible software is in arguably part of the solution. So is dropping the cost of repairs seeing to the rapid availability of parts and expanding protection to new areas where existing services can provide additional support and convenience. If you're curious, like I am about how apple can replace hardware calibration with software, how things like algorithms and neural networks and machine learning work. If just hearing those terms sounds daunting than brilliant is a great place to start. They have a bunch of online courses that can teach you the fundamental logic and science behind. These technologies if you're new or just interested in the field, each course is interactive and breaks up complicated concepts into bite sized chunks to make sure you actually absorb the information, which is something I can't say about any university lecture ever in. You can get started easily right now today, just checkout, brilliant dot org slash vector. Thanks. Brilliant. Okay. So yeah, I can already feel some of you getting ready to rage into the comments about how this sounds just like an ad for apple care or whatever, but it's not. It's my considered opinion that most clumsy people like me will benefit from apple care in the long run, even if it'll make the lines slightly longer for me personally right now, but I think everyone will benefit from better and more accessible repairs in out of warranty, both our personal devices and for our shared environment. Now, let me know what you think. Have you had to get your iphone screen repaired or battery replaced? Have you done iphone screen repairs or battery replacements yourself? What have been your pain points? Does this start to ADR. Yes, them what else do you wanna see, apple do kit. Subscribe hit lake. If you do not like if you don't, but let me know in the comments below. Thank you so much for watching remembers, Leah. We'll meet us this daisy, who can disassemble nine different models of iphone using daisy. We can reuse those recycled materials and future products. And the more we do this, the less we'll have to mind from you.

Slash savings. Make you purchase before June thirteenth. You don't have much time to get across the try to call dot com forward slash sightings now. Get everybody welcome to the technical crypto podcast. Hope you'll having a great day. Getting that today watching the market because we did see a full, obviously, yes, that was pretty drastic I. It was pretty dramatic. It happen pretty hard and pretty fast so what we want to be focusing on today. He's just. Where are we? What's going on of? The talk turned in front of me and. Trying Tom. Go bought just to see if we did say fully through the selling and we have has continued to sell off in the last hour. In fact, we've put an hour candle down one point seven percent, which is pretty much what the days down at the Miami it is down two point one eight percent. The thing of got on my mind right now is. Is just how champions paint on that daily Chart Short. We had a good pop back on Monday, we be move up five hundred dollars, and the four trend was glorious Lewis who great trading opportunities out there think link think dragons think you those trends. I got light. Coin Baynes some opportunities now the problem is. With the market is that we're not staying in a trend for long enough. It's lot we saw. The trend starts on those mid timeframes, and then it peters out very very quickly. Really liked that I wanNA say follow through one thing from as to get position to is to get my risk taking off and then three. Will I want to see a runner because that's my big profits, come from the markets. Nov doing that. It's not doing that at the moment. It's coughing and spluttering. It's going in and out back in downtrend. It's just A. A bit all over the shop. It doesn't mean we've got a down trend now four. Oh No, no, we don't. It's very clearly not trending down. We had a high This was just a couple of days ago. The high that we had was nine thousand, eight hundred now it down at nine, thousand and seventy five. We've dipped below nine thousand two died. So it has been a topsy wake from lovely upward momentum to very doubt momentum. So what am I doing one doing now we'll look. It is failing messy amyloid still trading the answer is yes I will still look for triads, I will still the happy type tribes if they present themselves, but I'm going to need to go to those low timeframes. It's the lowest timeframe trends that are going to be where the value comes for me anyway at this stage. It's taking time. It's not there yet, but I will look at those lower timeframes as they pool by looking at the fifteen minute shot the thirty minute chart. The one hour shot these talks with things. Now I'll take you through the top ten and tell you what I'm saying across them. As alright now bitcoin of the Senate's nine, thousand, eighty four were down two point one six percent rotten. Now look yesterday. We did closed down. Three. Point five four percent was where we close just a pretty solid moved to the downside. If hasn't slid, is far as Bitcoin is not far off. It's damn one point nine percent right now, and it was down three point seven yesterday. It's currently two hundred and twenty nine dollars ninety eight cents, no two hundred thirty dollars right now. It's. It hasn't broken any K. levels. on a theory of child, whereas Bitcoin has set a lowell who's going to high and low now so it's not as. It looks more bearish on my say than a theory does currently but inciting that all these shots have sold off all beekeeping on. On Alexa payments sitting riding sense down one point five seven percent right now and yesterday we did closed down three cents, and not as much of a slide as some of the other shots out there that shots familiarly paycheck. Look, it does look more. Bearish spoke to the little cradle candle two days ago, in the in his on on daily job. My issue with it was just. I just didn't have the trend the why I wanted to be I. I didn't listen. Support just didn't say that I didn't see it as being a strong shoot. Now, of course it has full from there, and that cradle has plight at very nicely, but that doesn't make good try just because of moves in the right direction, it is currently. Currently down one point five percent of the Senate taint cents onto bitcoin cash, two, hundred, twenty, three, hundred, twenty nine dollars and fifty five cents yesterday guide down three point three, five, eight, still very messy to me if we can break down on bitcoin cash on the like if we break the law of two twenty four and twenty cents two hundred twenty four dollars twenty. Twenty then we'll have a low hind loa, and then maybe we'll see some momentum coming into that further downside could be on the concert. bitcoin cash based they also very much in the same positions, one hundred sixty nine dollars and forty one cents is down one point three percent yesterday fairly decent slaughter, three point one percent did come back to a level of one seventy. Seventy six, which wasn't old. A support level has acted as resist, and we've dipped once again a not a huge fan of the structure right now, but does Moya's have a downtrend Dow's look more wake the many of the top ten out as Kobe, the right place to be looking for shorts as if we do see fuller through because we already have that daily downtrend. Like on yesterday having a very strong day down three point six seven percent there I look at spoken. Sorry, it's sitting right on support. That's supportive, forty one dollars and fifty seven cents. In there is one two three four tests of that support now this could be an optimal place for major look for tried, but if we get a breakout of that level or possibly, a ray tests for cried or FIBONACCI Bush, but I'll be watching that closely like twenties, currently one point full, the Senate forty one dollars, ninety seven, but again forty one dollars fifty seven is the level that I'm watching. A US also has as a down at one point. Three percent close yesterday down two point seven percent very similar to lot when we have all seating at a support level, two dollars forty two. Now if we are to get it breaking down through that level, two dollars forty two. It's currently to forty six. Then that could be a potential tried to the short side. We have convergence there already. We have a low high, and that would then set these into a downtrend on a US so again. Another potential opportunity for try I'll keep an eye on AOL toodle forty-six. Bonnet has dick as well. It is now trading at fifteen dollars and seventy four cents down one point six one percent. There is a low. We've got more lows to create before we can actually coal his downtrend. The lowest to break is fifteen dollars and thirty cents that would put into much better position. It's down one point six percent cowardly tonight fifteen, seventy four. CADA look? It's full and it fell yesterday I've only half of percent eight maintain strength Gee whiz. It is just hanging in there. It is down tonight. Tree point eight six percent with which does represent. The logic decline in the top ten at the moment for the day. It's at seven point nine cents, and it's just handing up. There's not too much more to. A theorem classic, if it breaks down through a low of five dollars ninety seven, we'll have a low, low, low, high and low low. Then that's what I'll be looking for opportunities to six dollars eleven. It's down one point. Six Percent Tron also had a day of selling three point six percent down. It's Dan, one point five five percent sitting at one point five six cents. So we are seeing some bread across the board isn't bloodbath. I don't know about that. I'll go for the ceiling night all about that either I tell you what we'll be doing. I will be keeping an eye on those low timeframes. We'll be watching. Those support. Levels will be making sure it on a viable when they pull back. If you haven't heard the advent dogs, we do have an fifty percent off. Please go to try to call dot com forward slash sightings, and you have a great night off now.

"So once again. Apple's IPHONE was the best selling tech product by far of the year. Twenty nineteen Bolivia. Tell you the fine imprint. I'm Jefferson Graham. You're listening to talking tech. My friend Daniel is is an analyst at Wedbush Securities and he compiled this chart for me showing doing the iphone at one hundred and eighty five million units sold in two thousand nineteen. That's down from the two hundred million plus in past years. Remember that for the first first. Three quarters of the year apple was still struggling with last year's models which were not that well received ten S.'s. And the ten are it. It was in September that they released the new eleven pro with that advanced camera that they got people excited. So that's where you're seeing the downfall in sales sales. Don't cry for Apple. They had amazing year. As you'll hear number two is the air pods at sixty five million. This is the Little Bluetooth headset. Set that so many people like to wear in their ears and a new edition came out in the fall called. The airports pro might one of my favorite products of the year and many others as well. It is sold out through February number three the Amazon Echo speaker sixty million units. That's a lot of speakers and as you know anybody somebody who's GonNa Amazon is usually finding these products on sale for ridiculously low prices as low as twenty dollars sometimes so they moved a lot of units number number four the IPAD. Nothing really new on the IPAD. This year it's just the same old tablet that was introduced in twenty ten but many parents really like buying an IPAD for their kids. Instead of having to buy a phone. As in an iphone they can get apps they can do video chat and you can get an entry level. I Pat Hat for three hundred. Three hundred and twenty nine dollars number five the Samsung Galaxy s line the premium phones from Samsung. which are wonderful alternative to the IPHONE? World intend to have new innovations that apple copies every year this year. It was the three photo lenses. Which Galaxy Galaxy did I and number six another apple product? The Apple Watch three of these top six products. Apples Apple Watch got cheaper at one hundred ninety nine dollars for one of the earlier editions. It got better in that every time. You flipped your risk. You didn't have a dead watch. You could actually see the screen for the whole time. So big improvements there and people seem to really like it. Those are the top six. Which of your favorite products did not make the chart? I'd love to hear hear from you. Look for me on twitter where I'm at Jefferson Graham. You've been listening to talking tech. Please subscribe to the show wherever you listen to online audio. This is our last talking tech for two thousand nine hundred thank you so much listeners. For Tuning in and for the feedback and for the support and we will continue to in twenty twenty with new episodes every day or almost every day sometimes do reruns but is generally new episodes at least six days a week thanks again for listening. "Sponsored by brilliant. Now I'm not a minimalist. I try not to buy too many things but I often by the Hong version of a thing once or twice before finding the right one and that hiles up but it does mean that. Come Black Friday and cyber Monday or the long on Turkey weekend or just what I call it now November. I have a pretty good tried and tested idea about what I wanNA give and get going into the holidays and then I just have to stick to my list look for the best price as possible and hit the buy button for the best prices part. I keep it locked to my friends and colleagues over at Thriftier DOT com. I work with them every day so I get to see firsthand just how hard they work especially this time of year like around the clock hard and know his fate. You didn't -dorsements it's so I'm just going to link up all their twenty four seven roundups in the description. You're welcome as to the list. I'm Rene Ritchie. And this is vector. The latest air pause might have just gone pro but the standard second generation air pods have also been going on sale regularly priced at one fifty nine for the regular case if you were yours. Don't need interchangeable tips water resistance or noise cancellation. You should be able to find some pretty good deals on the air pods to you. Like one hundred and twenty nine dollars good and if you were yours do need all the airport bells and whistles canceled. You might just be able to find a few bucks off the pros as as well. Back in. September apple dropped the price on the series. Three Watch to make it. The most affordable entry level wearable ever offered a one hundred ninety nine dollars coming coming up though it looks like it's going to be dropping even lower much lower around one hundred twenty nine dollars and that just makes it the perfect gift for anyone who just wants to tryout and start off with the smartwatch if you or someone you love really needs. All the potentially life-saving features like fall detection international emergency calling calling and the gap then the latest series. Five watch models have already started seeing some small discounts as well just over a month ago. Apple took the entry level ipad to who well less than an inch shy of eleven and added Smart Keyboard support as well that just made it both a bigger canvas for touch and drawing but also a better tool for retyping all for the same starting price of three twenty nine. Come the sales though you should be able to get it for a bit less quite a bit less around two forty nine. Put the savings towards an apple pencil or keyboard seriously for faster processors and better displays. You can move up to the smaller. IPAD mini five or the slightly bigger IPAD air three three for much better processors and bigger displays as well as you can move all the way up to the IPAD pro. The deals would probably be a little thinner but the smiles will ever so much wider sure go ahead dunk on Siri all day long but the home pot is legit one of the few audio devices in the world that you can drop into any any room and immediately started enjoy amazing sound no matter where you drop it or where you're located relative to it typically to ninety nine we've already seen it for one ninety nine and it isn't uneven black Friday it sure a home pile many would be nice but a maxi at this price is nice enough for now you may be able to find some discounted SIM unlocked iphones phones out there but let's be real the big deals have and will continue to come from the carriers we've been seeing those already as well so if you've got a fresh phone coming up pay extra close attention to which carriers offering what exactly both to stay and to switch and grabbed the best deal for you if you or your loved ones have your heart set on a new Mac you'll be able to find some Turkey time deals on those as well we've already seen some thin thin savings on the brand new sixteen inch macbook pro and there might just be better deals on other Max as well just make sure you know what specs you need going in so you don't sell yourself short just to buy quick there are a ton of great accessories out there as well including the just announced smart battery cases for the iphones eleven they're a great way to increase the already astounding battery life for the special iphone user in your life they they may not go on sale so quickly but keep an eye open and move fast if you do see them also just updating my personal everyday carry list the one with all of my favorites a link to that in the description below is well. I'm sure a bunch of that stuff like the blisteringly fast Samsung x five. SSD will go on sale. If it hasn't already gifts are not not the providence of apple alone so nintendo switch is absolutely also on my list especially now that pokemon sword and shield out. I prefer the just updated classic switch to the just released switch light though because the light doesn't actually switch fingers. Crossed will be able to save enough to make the difference negligible. Anyway your best bet might be look for Bundles even just games. Either way. You're the one who's GONNA come out as a winner or if you really mess up and forget to get that something special for that someone very special. OmniMind Biohacker Review [Inexpensive Nootropic Stacks are Problematic]

"This is Jonathan with limitless mindset. And this is what my bio hacker review of omnia mind which use a European neutral stack in fact. It is Europe's in our one nutro pick and I don't know what that means. I looked it up. I try to figure it out and I couldn't find it. Used this product for a little while and it delivers a good new terrific experience. But I'm going to make the case here that it's actually a pretty mediocre tropic product. Explain why but ed I I'm going to do so. You can see it comes in kind of this cool one little plastic locks which is a little bit more interesting than most new tax that you know they come in a boring white bottle that looks like a billion wight bottles that you can find on store shelves across the planet so I will have it now. INST- I and maybe seeing Jonathan. It's a capsule you're supposed to swallow. You're not supposed to eat and I know I know this is just oh boy. They really doesn't taste good. This is just a thing. I'm going to start doing with all the products that I try so that you guys can see my funny face when I chew up. The capsule ingredients of products as opposed to you taking them. The way you're supposed to just swallowing the little capsule but you know. Hey neutral epic ingredients. They get down and get up to where they're supposed to go. I got a package on package. Ariel is curious it on so this product. I received it not that long ago from a a Nice Dutch fellow that sent it to me and I tried it and it produced the desired effect. Act that a neutral Is supposed to have it resulted in a nice clear productive head space for me and I did notice mine my typing speed as well as my typing. Accuracy improved when I was on this product and I would say that the effect lasted lasted about probably about three to four hours and I would typically do about two of the capsules I think one one day up that dosage a little a little bit but I found that about two two of these capsules was right in the sweet spot and so that's what I'd recommend to people and then on the second day on the stuff. I did three capsules little bit. More stimulatory has some stimulating ingredients in it and I noticed that this product creates kind of this. You'll notice some nutro. Picks like Alpha lipoic acid in particular they produce a little bit of this this kind of a stomach flutter where you can feel. There's a little bit of a sensation that they create in your in your stomach. which is I actually? I think it feels kind of cool. It's it's not. It's not bad but that's something that I noticed from it. As I said it was stimulating. I was a sleep sleep-deprived one night. I just had way too many thoughts racing through my head. Maybe I did. Too many in Detroit picks the night before and I did not get good sleep and so usually when I'm sleep deprived and I am a person that struggles just a bit with insomnia from time to time. Usually when I'm sleep deprived my morning morning is pretty good. I wake up and I'm like well. I'm sleep deprived but I'm gonNA power through things we're GONNA power through make it happen anyways and so yeah. My morning was good. Would you know because I had some coffee. Had some nicotine gut stimulated but then as the afternoon started to come on I really started to get kind of unproductive and and focused and I was like Oh crap I you know I really don't WanNa have a half day of productivity right so I did three more of these and I noticed that it really vanquished my sleep deprivation. I went on to have real productive day and I worked talk all day and into the evening which is usually what I did. So that's kind of A. That's the sort of productivity that we want from Our new tropics usually sleep deprivation guarantees mediocre productivity. But in this case it worked the way that it is supposed to. So let's talk some about the ingredients of the product so it has B. Vitamins and B. Vitamins are really important for a bunch of different reasons. I'm sure you've heard about them. I've done other videos about them. I particularly like B. Vitamins. Because where I live here in Sofia really bad air pollution were pretty high on the index of crappy air here and B. Vitamins. There's been some studies on them showing the b-vitamins protect your DNA from the damage. That pollution causes so if you're in one of the cities that has a lot solution. Make sure you're getting your B. Vitamins. Okay it has COPA. which is a little bit of a There's some things to know about because you should check out my article by podcast on it and it contains four hundred and ten milligrams of COPA which is on the high end of the Bukoba. Dosage Copa is not something that you wanna take a ton of and there's some reason to believe that because actually counteracts the effects of of caffeine that you might not wanna be combining those two things because they would just. I don't think they have a negative reaction but they just have kind of a neutralizing reaction on each other and it does contain caffeine. It contains one hundred fifty milligrams of caffeine. That's kind of a lot. You know that would explain why it helps the sleep deprivation a if you have like a big Cup of coffee. That's probably GonNa be Abou now sixty or seventy milligrams of caffeine if you drink one of those insane. starbucks coffees that are that are giant. That are like the size of a small child. Almost those are going to be more like one hundred milligram. One hundred and fifty s kind of a lot of caffeine. So if you're a stimulant silence sensitive person if you are going to bed within the next ten hours you probably would not want to use. WHO's this product and it also can needs d two hundred fifty milligrams of one of my least favorite nutro picks the a check out my article on it and it is? DNA betrayed so that means that it is like half strength Deanna DNA so it actually means that it's more like a hundred and twenty five milligrams of which is i. Guess better but he is a problematic new trick and I think that bio hacker should be really conservative with it. I think if you are going to use it you should only be taking in between like fifty to one hundred milligrams of it or you should. You should start at a real low dosage with it and then kind of work your way up so I feel like that's a bit too much DNA to be taking especially in daily stack. It does contain any H also more popularly known as N. A. D. Plus plus and. This is a very exciting new Mike. Okon drill nutro pick that there's a lot of interesting exciting research going around. I think I believe it only has five milligrams of the N. A. D. Any h only five milligrams of it. I'm not sure I'm not sure if that's enough. I think I'd like to see a bit more. Eighty plus N H in supplement and then it contains daines Rodeo among other things. It contains fifty. Milligrams of Rodeo Rodeo is always good however fifty milligrams is. That's a bill bill less than I would want in my stack. I've been using Rodeo for years and the clinical dosages are giving people Rodeo in amounts. What's that are in between about two hundred milligrams up to six hundred? Fifty milligrams is the high end of Rodeo and that dosage arranges where people are really starting to get some benefits from it there might be a benefit at fifty milligrams but I would prefer to get a bit a bit more of it because it is just one of the most proven been one of the most helpful one of the most safe things that we can take as neutral picks so while this product is stimulating. It did deliver the kind of effect the fact that I wanted to eat. I took it for a couple of weeks. This little box lasted me. A couple of weeks my intake of neutral bricks and it did supplement my hi productivity but it's problematic and so I have to deduct a fool three stars out of five. I'm going to give this one to star rating in the mind power marketplace of my website. Which I do recommend you check out? There's my professional opinion in there. And then also so there are ratings and reviews you can find other bio hackers out there. And here's the reasons why I'm deducting full three stars off of it. Hopefully you can find this instructive for when you are choosing neutral stacks in the future so it contains caffeine and I don't feel like I need caffeine phen- in minute terrific stacks. I drink a lot of good coffee. I really love coffee. I enjoy coffee everyday. Really good really good stuff enough. My wife makes me really amazing coffee so I got lots of joy. Lots of love. Lots of caffeine in my life already. I don't think I need to get it from Miami Line. nutro picks tax and caffeine can screw up your sleep. You may be a person that has the genetic marker for slow. Oh Caffeine metabolism and so this means that if you're taking a neutral stack containing caffeine at noon which a lot of people do or maybe even if you're taking it later later on in the afternoon because you WanNa have a more productive afternoon. That means that that caffeine is GonNa be screwing up your sleep win you get to bed at eleven the PM that evening and it also contains DNA like diesel. Major Red Flag Nutro BEC- ingredient I kind of regarded as a pseudo pseudo nutro pick. I questioned whether it's even neutral pick at all and like I said it contains a bit more of it than I would really be comfortable with and and finally maybe most importantly they don't prove the ingredients with a co way with a certificate of analysis done by a third party lab with a spectroscopy verifying that the ingredients are pure ingredients. That's something that I really liked to see. Increasingly a lot of ethical neutral picks companies out. There are doing that for their consumers proving their ingredients with that certificate of analysis and I haven't seen this on their website or elsewhere. I especially like to see us on something that contains Copa Because Bukoba is is known as being something that the low quality because the crap that comes from China can sometimes be contaminated with toxic walk sick heavy metals. which you really don't want right? And so in this case I'd like to you know assume that the creators of the product product are trying to create a good product that they're trying to avoid those kind of toxic heavy metals. But when you don't see a way you really don't know if they're using the cheap stuff or if they're using really high quality organic stuff and in this case. The product itself is pretty inexpensive. I think it retails for twenty nine euros. which is really pretty cheap? As far as new tricks tax go and that makes me a little bit suspicious of the ingredients when they're not proving them with A. I'm not a fan of neutral. Stacks the cost like under like under fifty dollars. And maybe maybe there's some good ones that are in like the forty dollar range but when you're getting into these I call them like Internet marketing price ranges where things are costing like twenty seven dollars twenty nine dollars thirty three dollars. It's it's just really hard to get ten or fifteen or to get a multiplicity of neutral ingredients together in good quality at that sort of price point. I would say if you've only got thirty bucks to spend on your new tricks.
