Negative Mount Pleasant

"So there's this tiny town in Wisconsin called Mount pleasant populations just twenty, six, thousand people, village and life in Mount. Pleasant is usually is quiet as you'd expect. Their suburb of Racine, home of malted milk and the sight of some of America's largest cabbage farms. But that's the city now presents the suburb place were nothing really happens. Until last year when the village became the site of a completely unprecedented massive international experiment. Truth. Even Mundane. It's going to tell the story this fall. I went to pleasant to meet this woman named Kelly Gallaher. Hi. Halley. commanded she lives in his ivy-covered split. Level House my home is located about. A little bit over a mile from from Lake Michigan so. Did she say? It's really beautiful out here by receiving. It's like a very light blue almost like a Caribbean vibe. It's it's all about the light I think it's magical. I think. I even like how the lake looks on my gps. Like it that much Kelly has been here for thirty years and she used to be an arts educator. But now she's basically retired. When did you start getting involved in kind of more? I don't I don't know what to call it activism or just Kinda village. What would you call it well? What if there is a name? I think other people have a lot of names for for what I do but. Ones I I probably wouldn't care to repeat the polite name that Kelly's detractors might use for her is busy body. She's an extremely vocal participant and the town's local democracy and her main stage is this place called village. Okay. The hours upon us I would. Like to open the village board meeting, Order Religions. Village Hall which sits right next to the local white is where the residents of mount pleasant all gather twice a month with their village government to talk about all the local issues that need fixing through weeds this high in the yard of one of the vacation homes this. Hi. It's been vacant for I. Don't know how many years gale for years. It's been vacant. We're going to have some recommendations and numbers for the Lake Park Fluffy Rosen, which is very Army number one on our agenda, our softball game we had this last Sunday for the case athletics. That went over very well to I didn't get any reports of injuries so we're good. Pictures in the paper though in Racine County the mount. Pleasant. Village Hall meetings are famous very well attended. They actually taped the meetings and upload them to the website, and if you're like me and have watched every single wine, you will look forward to the moment when Kelly good evening my name is Kelly Gallaher. Her Red Hair Hoop earrings steps up to the Mike Lees Captain Brian. Smith. Collected thirty three, thousand, seven, hundred and fourteen dollars an overtime pay in addition to his salary vacation. Her tally is basically the local civics watchdog. A joint parks has had no minutes published since April two, thousand, fourteen almost every week she uses her allotted three minutes to make it very clear to the people in power that she has her eye on them is outrageous by mount pleasant standards. Hauled corruption and we intend to get to the bottom of it. Thank you. Thank you for weekly Sunshine and good share. That man who sounds very exasperated that is Dave degroot village president. He is sitting behind this big long table in this large office chair at the center of the screen, and he's flanked on both sides by his six village trustees. Dave. Runs this meeting David Kelly. Like each other they disagree on pretty much. Every single thing to do with the future of Mount Pleasant. Kelly has a sign on her front lawn that says David degroot must resign and David grew lives ten doors down from her. It's an intense block and Kelly told me that it got especially bad about a year ago when she was helping Dave's opponent in the village election. The previous March when he was running for office, he sent out a press release a basically accusing me of egging his house. Egging his house Yes yes. He filed a police report and suggested in his press release that I had been involved in the attack the political at an actual literal egg attack on his home, which the police report did not verify at all. In fact, it was the the described it as as teenagers and a single egg that was tossed on his driveway was hardly an attack I was not there. I only buy organic eggs which are far too expensive to throw it. Anyone's house let alone someone I don't like it was it was ridiculous. So it's fair to say that my relationship with with him was contentious I think he's a fool and a terrible per village president.

Forever Free: Edmonia Lewis

"Hey Joel Lauren Hey so. You know what I feel like I have been I have I have not done our podcast. Justice. And the reason being is because you know every. So often we do an episode on historical person. And it seems that you do a lot of episodes about like strong influential women. And I do episodes on. Deeply White Dude's. Deeply disturbed man and I was like you know what? I'm going to remedy this today. I'm going to do it right and I had I had known very little about this person until I started doing my research, the more I learned about her the more I was. Like. Impressed about her. Just. Her talents and her very interesting life and everything. So today. I'm going to be doing an episode on Ed Monia Lewis. Yes I don't know who that is. So at Monia Lewis was the first professional and internationally known African American sculptor. Wa Yes so Her work was like well known all over the world during this time period but we'll get into it so. she was she is believed to have been born on July fourth eighteen, forty four that she didn't. She didn't know her her birthdate. Lot of people didn't warn free in Greenbush New York, which is now the city of Rent Rensselaer and her father was Afro Haitian while her mother her her name was Catherine Mike Lewis was of Mississauga, Gibb Way and African American descent. So she was both African American Haitian and native American Great. her mother was known as an excellent weaver in crafts woman while her father was a gentleman servant and her family background inspired Lewis in her later work. So, by the time she reached the age of nine. Both of her parents had died to maternal aunts adopted her and her older half brother whose name was Samuel. He was born in eighteen thirty five to lose his father and his first wife in Haiti and the family came to the United. States, when Samuel was a young child Samuel eventually became a barber at age twelve after his father died because he needed to start making money for the family and so he became a barber I know isn't as seventh grader giving you a haircut that's a nightmare but apparently. We're pulling your teeth both. Apparently. He was very good because eventually he moved out West in became an entrepreneur in a landowner and was very successful. but at the time, the children lived with their aunts near Niagara Falls for about four years and Louis in her aunt sold Agip way baskets and other items such as moccasins, embroidered blouses, tourists, visiting. Niagara. Falls, TORONTO, and Buffalo. So Little Gail. during this time Lewis went by her native American name, which was wildfire while her brother was called sunshine or sunrise, which is like these are just cool. ASS names. Great names may great names man. So in eighteen fifty, two Samuel F. for San Francisco leaving Lewis in the care of captain s mills, and Samuel provided for her board and education. Captain are mills was a an abolitionist. He was a well known abolitionists at the time. So in eighteen, fifty, six, she enrolled at New York, Central College McGraw Hill which was a baptist. School at McGraw Hill. Louis. Met many of the leading activists who would become mentors, patrons and possible subjects for her work as her artistic career developed. So during her summer term there in eighteen fifty-eight, she took classes in the primary department in preparation for college, and she was enrolled in primary courses in order to help advance her reading and writing skills along with other subjects of academia that we're not quite advanced enough for the academic department. So. In a later interview, she said that she left the school after three years having been quote declared to be wild. Oh Wow. Yeah. She said until I was twelve years old I led this wandering fishing and swimming and making moccasins I was then sent to school for three years in McGraw Hill was declared to be wild they could do nothing with me Oh Yeah. So they seem to have expected a lot from. A kid who had been grown up just like doing whatever she could to survive. So. Eight fifty nine when she was about fifteen years old her brother Samuel and abolitionists sent her to win Ohio where she attended the secondary Oberlin Academy Preparatory School for the full three year course before she entered Oberlin College, which was one of the first US higher learning institutions to admit women and people of Color. At the time, she changed her to Mary Monia Lewis and began to study art. So from here on out, she's known as Ed Monia Lewis. She boarded with Reverend John. Keep his wife from nine until she was forced from the college in eighteen sixty three. So I'll tell you about that in a second. But at Oberlin with a student population of one thousand Lewis was one of only thirty students of color. Yeah, Reverend keep was white a member of the board of trustees and avid evolutionist and a spokesperson for Co Education so throughout her life, she was kind of moved from from patron to patient as a young child mostly with abolitionist family Scott.

'Impossible': School boards are at heart of reopening debate

"Struggling to determine whether students should return to classes. The board of trustees in suburban South Carolina, like thousands of school boards nationwide, is at the heart of the reopening debate. It's not an easy decision. There are no good solutions. They're not even close to good solutions. Elena Miller, who's the head of the school board in Rock Hill, South Carolina, with more than 17,000 students, We have been working diligently over the past four months or said on what it's going to the black One Spoon. As aboard. We've had many, many sleepless nights. The final vote. Splitting students into two groups that would each spend two days a week in classrooms. The rest of the time would be virtual learning. I'm shelling out

Ethnic Studies: Born in the Bay Area From History's Biggest Student Strike

"Legislation earlier this summer that would require all incoming freshman at Cal State universities to taken ethnic studies class listener. Michael Variety asked our Bay curious team this question I've heard that there was actually a revolution in the Bay Area for an ethnic studies field. Is this true? And how did it happen? The short answer. Yes, it's true. Reporter assault A sonnet. Poor tells us how it went down during the longest student strike in US history. It was November of 1968. The US was 13 years into the Vietnam War. American soldiers hiking their way through the sweaty jungles of South Vietnam, searching for enemy Martin Luther King had been assassinated earlier that year, and the Black Panther Party demanded systemic change for black communities plagued by poverty and police brutality. That's what black students at San Francisco State wanted to bury. Proves to be a member ofthe last. This is Nesbitt Crutchfield. He started studying at San Francisco State in 1967 and soon joined the black student union. It was the very 1st 1 in the country. It was very clear to me that Black soon Union representative. Very progressive. Among black spoons at state among black students in the very but just a small percentage of black students went to SF State admission rates for minority students had dwindled down to just 4%. Even those 70% of students in the SF Unified School District for from minority backgrounds is a black person you expected for all intensive purposes. To be one of the very few black people in whatever classroom laboratory auditorium. The U. N was overwhelmingly white. Amidst that whiteness black students were hungry to study their own history. The black student union had been pushing the university to create a black studies department for nearly three years. But administrators resisted the idea. was an era of young people asking questions and want to transform their communities. Jason Ferreira is a professor in the Department of Race and Resistance at San Francisco State College of ethnic studies. And that impulse that That hunger to transform one's communities is actually what forms the basis of ethnic studies. It's around this time that Penny no. Okatsu was grappling with her own questions about race and identity. We want Asian Americans, then we were Orientals. An Oriental is a term that was imposed on us by the largest society, so starting to use the term Asian American was a way of taking back er. Our own destiny. Henny became a member of a student organization called the Asian American Political Alliance. It was just one of many ethnic student organizations popping up on campus and an early fall of 1968. These organizations banded together in formed a coalition, the Third World Liberation Front. And at that particular time, third world referred to the Non Aligned Countries are cultures in Asia, Africa and Latin America. It was synonymous with how we might use people of color today. English professor and Black Panther. George Murray was one of San Francisco state's most influential anti Vietnam organizers. Students loved Murray, but his outspoken politics didn't sit well with us of state administrators. The war in Vietnam is racist. That is the law that crackers like Johnson are using black soldiers and poor white soldiers of Mexican soldiers as dupes and fools to fight against people of color. In Vietnam. The board of trustees fired Murray over Comment like this one on November 1st 1968 5 days later, the black student union and the Third World Liberation Front joined together and went on strength in aspic, Crutchfield says Despite coming from different backgrounds, the strikers had a clear goal. I wanted to find out and be educated about ourselves, and we could not get that the nobody getting educated Initially, strikers did things like cherry bombs in toilets and check out tons of books at once in order to overwhelm the school's library system, But almost immediately, administrators invited police on campus. Jason Ferreira says they swarmed the school armed with five foot batons. Students responded by throwing rocks and cursing out the police. Police came down heavy hard, and they just began cracking skulls Strikers carried on anyway. Penny No. Okatsu was protesting on January 23rd 1969. In what many call the mass bust. Two lines of police came up and basically surrounded the over 500 people who were there for the rally and tracked all of the individuals who are part with that net police charged at students, Penny says it was one of the bloodiest and most frightening days of the entire strike. That was a military movement, literally a practice orchestrated military movement. Hundreds were arrested. Virtually all of the individuals arrested head Tio spend some jail time. There are real consequences to having participated in that event. It's up two more months. But eventually in March, administrators and strikers negotiated a deal after five months of protesting the school agreed to many striker demands. They promised to accept virtually all non white applicants for fall of 1969 and they agreed to establish a college of ethnic studies, the first in the country. Class is about communities of color. Ethnic studies is a way of embracing all of the cultures that make up not just this country, but with the world. And if we don't understand each other, how we're going to get along. Betty Ford's Healing Legacy: A Conversation with Susan Ford Bales

"Today, we're joined by Susan Ford Welcome. Susan. You are aid author, photo journalist. The youngest of four children to President and Mrs Ford. We are appropriately here at the Betty Ford Center, where you're also on the board of trustees of the Hazel Betty. Ford Foundation. Your mother's legacy. was as a breast cancer survivor and advocate, and as a woman in recovery, and as an advocate for being a woman in recovery. How has the legacy of your mother? Affected your role here at the Betty, Ford? Center. Wow Her shoes were really big to fill your So when she stepped down from the board and I became chairman. I. Think it was harder than living in the White House actually because. We mother and I come from two different parts of recovery. She is a patient and the family member. So we have very different opinions of things than and what's important to us One of the things that she made me do, which was extremely painful with sit on every city every single committee. And participate on my witness finance. Finance. But I learned it. Sure. And so I feel like she did a great job of preparing me to be chairman. So it's it's just we come at it from a different angle in a different perspective family and children's services is extremely important to me because that's how I was affected by this disease. Did you come to the the role of being the chair here at Betty? Ford, did you come to that reluctantly? No because I had been on the board for cheese, probably fifteen years I'm it had just been a long process Mother was gracious and allowed me to raise my children before I came on the board because I was pregnant when the. Betty. Ford. Center open. So. I don't think I came on the board until my youngest was first grade or second grade, and so she gave me some time to get my children raised in at least in school because it required several days travel and all of that in childcare and all the complications that we go through to participate in something like that. Let's go back a little bit and talk about the history of the Betty, Ford Center there's a lot of people who think that when your mother found her own recovery in the late seventy s, she went to the Betty Ford Center. It wasn't even here now was, how did the Betty Ford Center come to be. Johnson from Eisenhower Medical Center decided that. They wanted to have a treatment and it had been in the plan at Eisenhower for some time, they wanted to have an alcoholic treatment center on the campus. and. So Leonard firestone mother's dear, friend was also on the board of Eisenhower. And so Johnson Leonard. Kinda. Tag. Team. Durham. and. She was really in a recovery about four years. But she agreed and I and I thought that was a very courageous step to be so early recovery. So she came to all of us children and she said. When I'm long gone. You're the ones that are going to have to live with the fact that your mother had A. Drug and alcohol treatment. Centre, named after you. How do you feel about that? Wow, and we also we don't care. I mean. It's what a great Lexi you know. She was one of the first to step out and and share her story So once we got past that it was just a matter of mother and Leonard Raising the money. To get this place started and of course. Way? Back, then in the early nineteen, Eighty S. The Hazel and foundation played a role also in the birthplace. Can you share just a little bit about that? Well, mother spent quite a bit a time when to Hazelton, because Hazelton had done it. So well, they were probably the leaders in the in the sense that they had been around the longest And it was successful There's lots of treatment centers that haven't been successful. Some other went back and spent probably close to a week there visiting with counselors visiting with a staff talking, how do you do this? What did you do? Right? What did you do on? Why? What makes Hazelton successful because we basically wanted to copy what they had done, but in a different location sure who would have ever imagined decades later. The two organizations would come together and I WANNA to come back to that in just a minute. But First Susan I want to address an issue that. Always bothers me and then set the the Betty Ford. Center is seen as a place for. The rich and famous for the exclusive for those who can pay out of pocket. But that's not at all what's happening here is no and less than one percent of the patients here are what we would think of as celebrities. Yes. We've had some celebrities, but so was Hazelton I mean. So as other places everybody needs treatment, it doesn't matter what you do that determines you need treatment. So, and they don't get treated any different than. My Mother didn't get treated any different Long Beach. The women, she shared a room with. So it's the same.

"Profession. It'll be extra financial pressure, which is massively unhealthy and not good for you. And not good for learning. The love to do. So keep your day job. There's no shame in it. And you can continue to slowly grow your side-hustle until you find the passion and motivation needed to take things to the next level. And if it never comes then that's fine. At least you don't have to find out that it's not something you want to do because you went broke and you lost your house. Yes. Seriously. If he if he's not like waking up in the morning, they can when I get home from work. I'm going to put the kids down, and then work on my side hustle. If it's a burden. It's not right for them. Exactly. Not right. Look everything feels like a job. Sometimes if you think you're not working on your side hustle because you already have money from somewhere else, then you're just after the money. So just stick with whatever ends you the money period the end all right last, but not least dear Jordan and team. You all put the awesome in my bottle of awesome sauce. Nice. I'm finding myself the trustee of a family trust. That's terrible terrible physician to be in where I'm being forced to deal with a family member who went to the douchebag school of persuasion and negotiation. Basically this person spends time insulting me and accusing me of things instead of just discussing the issues with me, I've spent time trying to understand this person's pain points to maybe better do this task yet. His motivations seems to be creating chaos telling me, I'm doing a horrible job. And then using that mess to negotiate for more than his share. Do you have any good advice for a person who finds himself on this side of things? Thanks dealing with a ditch bag. Ooh, bummer. Yeah. My mom dealt with this stuff to my mom is actually been just fountain of wisdom when dealing with crappy family. It's a it's kind of funny. Sorry, mom. I know look mom look at it. This way, you're helping other people through your suffering high dealing with the douchebag, this sucks. That's my that's my comb. Commiseration? So what is your professional? Let's special opinion. What I would do is first of all can you get a lawyer involved to help administrate the trust this way, whenever he wants to talk to you whenever the Icke family member wants to talk to you. He has to go through somebody who he can't manipulate emotionally people the kryptonite for emotional manipulative, jerks and families is attorneys because they go my sister this, and she's crazy as a lawyer, you get to go it doesn't matter. My fiduciary duties to the trust. You're both crazy. Yeah. I don't give a crap. I don't care. Look it costs money, but you can tell him that half of the fees will come out of whatever he gets since he's going through the attorney and running up the costs. Ooh. Nice. I don't know if you can do that. But telling him that is a nice little way to get out making phone calls. Every five minutes might not be true. But it's a good way to shut them up. Yeah. Exactly. This isn't a free solution. But it'll save your sanity. And by the way, this technique. I'm giving you is a common negotiation tactic. It's almost like. An anti negotiation tactic. Basically, you're not only pulling the appeal to higher authority. You're actually putting that higher authority between yourself engine negotiating partner. So in a job situation. This would be the equivalent of your boss telling you that he has to ask the higher ups his boss's boss, if he can get you that salary increase or that time off bump or whatever because it's autumn my hands. And so if you bring in an attorney, then he has to speak to that lawyer who can negotiate on your or the trusts behalf probably the trust. He's going to have a fiduciary duty to the trust. And when this happens, it takes all the BS in emotion out of things because not only does this other party, not have direct access to you anymore. But even if they did it wouldn't matter because as far as he knows you're no longer, the one in charge of everything he doesn't have to know the lawyers doing what you instruct every time. He comes out you with his tantrums..

"Serving and the need to exercise discretion arises. Yup. Then the trustee needs to have an adverse party make the distribution. So what does that mean? Or in this case, if there's a sibling, you would simply have the sibling make the distribution or a point the sibling as trustee co trustee because remember the trustee has the power to add additional trustees. Right. So in this case, though, there it's he only has one son who's the only trustees. So what do you do? So you would either go look to maybe he's got nieces and nephews, and you could appoint Dan, which would be cousins for this person. Or just go find a lawyer or an accountant, so whoever it may be drafted your documents for you. Or maybe your CPA just say, you know, what I wanna put you on trustee. And then you accept your position as trustee. And then you simply write a check pay to the order of in this case, the sun, and then the sun could it sounds like he wants them to keep it. Yes. Gifted then he'd be able to keep it. There's something that. Wasn't asked here that I want to expand on though. That's great, and yes, you can get the money from the trust. And even when it's there's only one child. And that's the place to get it from. I'm glad to hear Jim is suggesting going there to get it. Why? Jim may be has other assets outside of the trust IRA money. For example. He might a lot of these people might say, you know, what I just want to take it from there and give it to my son. I don't need to go through the trust. And if I give it from there, I'll have less money at risk for the nursing home true on both counts. The thing you're not thinking about is the gift from somewhere outside the trust would now create a new five year waiting period. You don't want do that. So the assets that are in this trust. Jim might have already been in there for five years old. Yeah. Seven years ago. So there's no new five year waiting period being created when you take money that's already not yours and give it away. So from the trust give it away. Don't don't give it away from assets that are not in the trust. There are so many things to think about when you're making gifts not only from Medicaid eligibility taxes creditors. But this is just one thing. Right. Medicaid eligibility would have been reset the clock if he gave it away from other than the trust. And you know, what folks there's so much information included in Todd's guide that he has written for the month of November. It's his guide to gifting assets. It includes everything you need to know about the income tax implications the estate tax implications..

"Com and so how does this work well we we've got to trust in place we now go to trustee and basically when you get a situation like this sometimes you need to send the kids home and have a meeting with just a parents that's okay nothing wrong with that in fact that's how i prefer it most of the time but in any event now we've they've got the kid put on as trustee the one that that seems to be responsible and and seems to have the temperament to be trustee there as trustee now upon the death of both remember it's not one it's when both died when one dies one spouse dies the trust goes on and it's all about the other spouse is still you still got to be involved in taking care of that other spouse now when they're both dead you're wondering if the attorney you're wondering if the trustee is gonna feel pitted against the other child because one child's trusting one's not right we take away that fighting we don't want to pit one child against the other so what it'll say in there is it will say we want to treat both kids equally you're going to create two buckets now trustee which is the child you have to do it says this is mom and dad's wish will create the two buckets and will allocate assets into the two buckets equal to fifty fifty a value we're not paying it out though remember even the one kid might have a better temperament the other kid doesn't that temperament goes also towards his inability to handle money well right so we're going to treat them the same so you don't feel like you're isolating the one who's a little worse off with money then then the other child who's trustee and you just say that one child is involved as trustee of both pockets managing and investing the buckets buying and selling you can't take from one bucket and give to the other that's prohibited but at least you've got one levelheaded kid investing all the assets okay perfect and then anytime either one of them wanna make distribution out to themselves from their own bucket or their kids they have to ask the disinterested trustee that was appointed by the child who serving as trustee that's okay and give them the right to remove and replace the disinterested trustee although i may not give it to the child who's a little not good with money share you may not want that because you want that protection but either way they would have to ask you and let's say they appointed me they need they need the disinterested trustee to be an attorney or a cpa so let's say they appointed me they would be asking me only for distributions and and my sole discretion i can say yes or no that way if there's a divorce or a creditor chasing one of the kids who knows one might be divorced one might have the creditor i can say no in those assets will be protected from those creditors wonderful language to have in the document and it also preserves it for generation skipping tax benefits going forward if the assets are growing and growing inside these trust because they're not taking it all out then it'll pass at their death tax free to the children to the grandchildren and be held there until they're thirty for their health and education so a wonderful way of getting assets in the bloodline creditor protected down a generation and it can be done even with family members that don't always get along and if you think it's gonna be kinda crazy when you die because you have a family members that don't get along think about how crazy it's going to be if there's no plan in place folks there's so much that you can learn about how these trusts operate maybe you think you know how they they operate but maybe there are quite a few misconceptions in your way.

"Trustee within manage that money for them on their behalf would hold onto it or they're usually they say something like their health education maintenance and support and and use their discretion to to use that until a person reaches the age of whatever eighteen twenty one something like that and then they become a trustee and that becomes a trust not everybody does it and if you don't do that then you have a minor who especially with that kind of money is is a bigger amount than you could ordinarily give under what is called the uniform gifts to minors act which essentially allows you to set up a bank account and i forget the the limits on that anymore i they may have increased though so so that's a possibility you might look into i'd have to take a look at the beginning this just haven't looked at it a long time but uniform gifts to minors you can do without going through a guardianship process the other thing is though the the the the minor child has you know has parents and stuff like that and so you don't really have to go out and hire a legal guardian another way would be to actually get a conservative and that's a court that's like a legal person who has been appointed by the court to manage this money sometimes you know the sometimes they just give the money to the parents but you know sometimes that's not a really good idea the child who the the grandparents let's say that that anticipates that they want to use this money for the the grandchild's college education a lot of and you know then they die and it goes to the to the parent directly the parent may decide that they like a boat a lot better than the child's prospects college and so i can't imagine why but now if they were looking for cobra.

"Yeah well why i say i mean we talk about marketing as really the setup for that you know that brings people into a point where you know the selling is easy enough unnecessary you know if you can do you take marketing approach that's really it's interesting because selling you know when you look at the the things that go into it i have run into that same situation where people are selling averse right and i was looking at it as taking and engineering the interaction with one person what would it take to have a dialogue and actual you know conversational journey with one person from they don't know you they you know all the way through to them becoming a clients and so so you know it's really i look at it that people talk about no you like you trust you but they always read that as one statement no you like you trust you write all blend and i think that where we really have the opportunity is if we approached them individually like no you full stop like you full stop trustee full stop you know that you've got each one of those is a win to take it from somebody who doesn't know you to now they know you that's a that's a progression you know and now that they know you do they like you and i think a lot of that goes with our is what you're saying resume writing are you are you getting in joining in on the conversation that's going on in their mind and are you through those conversation.

"Usually in lieu of everybody else can be a trustee the bank that holds the mark honey can be a trustee but the bank will make no money on the trust me they're not going to invest to worth a crap because they're gonna invested out probably in their own bank paying nothing i end there'll be no return but they're gonna argue what is the safest way to deal with the money which it is because they'll only put it in cds were put it in their accounts so the hard part you have is figure now who's gonna be the trustee another way of doing it is just writing a will and in the wheel no i say i knew i wouldn't even do that because you have money that is not going to be distributed at one time you the not actually set up a council which needs to be paid yeah i think it's just the trust and it's a question of you don't need relatives do you have a in that you trust for example might trust now i have my partner is the trustee and then if she can't deal with it i have another trusty a successor trusty and they are going to choose the third trustee together when they get old and decrepit what bill i don't know any anybody of it i do say got much of a friend to rely upon with money yeah how much money we talking about about a million okay all right let me suggest that be named the trusty because trustees actually in a pretty good chunk of money you know that don't you bob you're going to have to find you have to find someone that you can trust of the atrocity now the good side of it bob is after the trust cakes sinn you're dead i mean so how bad get it'd be because you're already dead you don't have to worry about whether the money is going.
