Dallas Mavericks To Begin Season With No Fans At Home Games

"I got here's a Montana. You know, Here's the thing somebody said to me a few years ago. Was out of work. And somebody said that because I think you know, I'm just trying to figure out what I'm gonna do is about 67 years. Yeah, just trying to figure out what I'm gonna do next. And they said if all right well if you could live anywhere. Where would it be? And I thought about it for a second, and I realized I can't live anywhere. I got the assets to do it. I could move anywhere I want and your one percenter. Here I am. I'm not a one percenter. But I've saved money over the years. I could go someplace else. If I chose to do so, And the thing is, most of us could If we're willing to do it, Yes, it's just a matter of how long you can last before you have to get something coming in. No, but most of us can go anywhere we want. And yet here we are. It's sex of the lunatics have taken over Washington state. That would be especially all those islands. They have their. Yeah, those would be on top of my list, but it's just full of nutjobs. It really has said when I lived in Seattle. I didn't think that there were crazy people there clearly, but it was more of a charming thing. Kind of a funny thing. You just made fun of them. Yes. Now they run the show. And the city has gone from four years. City's suffering for that's why anybody with common sense is moving out of the city and moving to the East side. Tragic. Yeah, I did. A stunningly beautiful It is stunningly Butte. Next trending topic and local local stories. What we do here is what we do here at news and information. 57. We are the local station, Your local station 5 70 Cliff. Dallas Mavericks said they will not have fans present for games at the start of the 2020 2021 season. The message sent an email to season ticket holders like Ernie Brown, they said, quote the health and safety of Dallas Mavericks fans, players and employees remains the organization's top priorities. Notice. Employees last on that list E did notice that, actually, yes. Uh, the team added that there was no timetable for fans to attend games The MBA is handling this season differently. They will not have the bubble this year. I can't believe they're actually starting the season up already. These guys have got to be exhausted. Well, when you hit him that paycheck I think you get untiring. You know something, though. Just it's just my impression that it doesn't matter what level of income you're living. You hate working. Yes, it doesn't matter how much you called love your job. Nobody loves it that much When you're exhausted. Not only that, when your whole circle all makes the same You're kind of like, Let's say you're the six man you think of yourself is broke. Yeah, well, you know it, Z. That is a true state. What you hear these athletes say this stuff all the time. I'm not being disrespected by being paid only $12 million a year. They're only paying me a million dollars a month. I being disrespected and you just want to reach out and throttle them. Is it bad that I understand them? I said, I can sympathize you that I do get it because everybody is at their own level, And when they find out that you're making 4000 more than I am screwed well, it's the same million more than it is exactly the same thing. It's just from a perspective like where we are. It's really irritating. Kind of tone deaf. Yeah, it is very toned up. Especially nowadays. You should start every sentence with like, I know to most of you. This sounds silly, but I'm being disrespectful Disrespect. I should this. I would be the worst owner in NBA history because I would be disrespectful to everybody now teams air training at home and traveling the country to play each other fun fact, the Toronto Raptors have moved to Tampa for the seasons. I'm guessing Canada has crazy rules candidates. They're there. They just said screw Through it. We're going to Fort. Yeah, They're right. They are the candidates run by a wiener. Yes. And they've shut everything down and etcetera so I can play basketball. So we go. All right. Nice. No, no. Yeah, They should I think should move the Raptors to Florida. Anyway, we're after should leave. They're playing in Tampa. This tampon not have an NBA team. I don't think they do. No, I don't think they do. Either side. You'd pick Tampa. You've got the heat. Well, no. Tampa's kind of that seems like to go to his place. For some reason. I don't know. Why does Tom Brady went there? Everybody's like a Tampa must be fantastic. Must be that's that's what's doing it. All right. So the Raptor air playing there? Yes, Mavericks here, Maverick Just right outside our window here, right outside her window. Nobody. Maybe we'll get autographs this time. Are you an autograph guy? I'm not an autograph. No, I don't want to me. It tells me that I'm like inferior to you. If I ask you, it's a weird complex I had. Well, here's why people like autographs. For example, I got a picture with a movie star. He autographed it for me Get that great, But what you do is you see a movie sometime in the future when you're older, and you see this guy in the movie said I met that guy, you know, And it means something to people. I I just have never been autograph guy. I have one autograph I got in my life. The guy who played Colonel Hogan on Hogan's Heroes, Bob Crane. Yeah, I was working in a restaurant when I was a kid, and he and his entourage came in and I got his autograph. See, I would want a not a graph of somebody who's important to me, but means nothing to most people like the guys I admire in this industry or something like I just in the broadcast in the industry, like the guy does cycling. I love him like it would mean something to me. But to everybody else means nothing means zero. And what do you got to do with it anyway? You know, I've been thinking. There's a lot to is all this stuff you collect. I got all these pictures. Here's me with so and so on me with these are all sitting in a box in a closet somewhere. They're going to end up in the Dumpster. I couldn't care less. I don't put I don't put him anywhere where anybody can see him. And if I croak tomorrow, what's gonna happen to him? They're gonna end up in the dumpster anyway, so I might as well just save everybody the trouble and put him in there. Now. That's training topics coming up. Amazon is in trouble with Bernie Sanders. Can you imagine a man who has never had a job before is upset with one of the biggest couple. He's in the world. Bill Jackson. He's checking on traffic on 5 70 Cliff. N.B.A. Eastern Conference: What to expect

"For a preview of what to expect in the Eastern Conference this season. Here's ESPN NBA a analyst Jay Williams. When I look at the entire Eastern Conference, the player that intrigues me the most Is by far. Kevin Durant Look before Kevin Durant tore his Achilles in the MBA finals against the Toronto Raptors. He was having one of the most productive and efficient seasons in league history. He was averaging 26 points per game shooting 52% from the field. 6.5 rebounds. 6.5 assist We're talking about a two time finals M v P in a two time champion. Kevin Durant's When the most prolific scores we've ever seen in the game, out of sight, out of mind, I think people have for gotten. Okay, so that's the most intriguing player. Let's talk about the most intriguing team in the Eastern Conference. I have to go with the Philadelphia 76 years. They bring Doc Rivers over from the L. A Clippers. They also have Daryl Morey one, the most genius G M's in the game of basketball that comes to this team from the Houston Rockets. So what did they do? They make moves they bring in. Seth Curry won the most prolific three point shooters We have currently in the game. Terrence Ferguson, a guy that play with okay, see tall, long athletic can depend multiple positions and can knock down the three point shop. And they get Dwight Howard as well. Another big that adds depth to their big man position, and they also pull some magic. They got rid of $100 million contract that nobody thought they would be able to move and Al Horford they let go of Josh Richardson. And always on this team is a team that can contend Matisse table comes back. A defense of Wizard and he also draft Tyreese Maxie Ah, God, I can score from multiple positions on the floor and cannot a huge scoring punch to this team. So look, the question will be can dwell on beat and Ben Simmons co exist. We're about to find out now, from most intriguing team to most improved team. Let's go down to the South. It's time to put some respect on the Atlanta Hawks name. Grant Hill. Your owner, I feel you. I see what you're doing down there. You and Jesse Itzler way to get it done. So look. Danilo Gallinari. I'm here with 18.5 points per game it okay, See, I got this is stuck and score from anywhere on the floor. Bogdan Bogdanovich. He was a guy that was originally supposed to be in another trade. That trade didn't work out with the Milwaukee Bucks. Now, he signs a big deal with the Atlanta Hawks adds depth. Another guy that can score along with Trey Young they bring on raison Rondo. Ah, Championship pedigree Point guard perspective to teach Trey Young. How to operate, how to navigate gives them depth at that position. In the Andrea Hunter, Trey young Kevin Herder. This team has the potential to make the playoffs and they will and probably the top four contenders in the Eastern Conference. Let's look at it. The Nets will be there. The Bucks will be there. The Celtics will be there. And I think the Philadelphia 76 years now, finally having Doc Rivers, Daryl Morey breakthrough, and they will be there to contend for the Eastern Conference championship, and when it's all said and done, if you're asking me, J will. Who are you taking to win the Eastern Conference? I am taking the Brooklyn Nets, not because I have a season ticket holder now because I have courtside seats. More so because of their scoring punch that they have. Kevin Durant is going to come back and remind people that he is the best score that we have in today's game of basketball. Kyrie Irving him they can co exist. Spencer Dimwit E. Caris Levert, Jared Allen. They have the sides. They had two scoring punch. The Brooklyn Nets were when the Eastern Conference

"He took a puck to the face in like his third or fourth last year in toronto and then he played the next game. Like i remember like loving everything about that and so it's been really cool as i got more into basketball growing up and in following along with basketball seeing the way that toronto has embraced basketball has been kind of extraordinary. So like i again. That's like a total everything. Like i definitely wanna talk on that for a second. What's that been like Getting to witness that. Because i think there are a lot of teams that are hoping to do something like that. I think the pacers are in a weird state a little bit because in some ways college basketball's bigger in indiana than than the pacers are just because of where they're at right now but yeah i mean looking at at toronto's is pretty special. Yeah like that's the thing like in canada. I mean we have college teams with a collegiate system is known where it is in the state. So i think like with the raptors kinda did in terms of developing like they targeted in. I i remember when the raptors like for started because i voted in the contest at like gave them their name. I picked the toronto raptors. I remember deeply because it was around the time. Drastic park came out so like every kid was obsessed with dinosaurs voted for the team. And then this team started. And you're like hooked basically from the beginning because you felt like you had some small stake in it not true but you just felt it like identify with it right and i think that identity piece i mean it was probably marketing wise quite smart but it was also just like a generation essentially grew up with a with a brand new team. The did look a lot initially kind of like a more scrappy like not necessarily put together like college team right like it was. They were very flashy. They weren't necessarily the most sustainable in years and then when they started to get better and actually just like when messiah came in and they started to focus on the development like the g. league team and like utilizing that like they're one of the i team select really utilize that system and put players that to bring them to the raptor because the raptors are still not an attractive destination for a lot of players to wanna come to. So i think when you look at how they started and like basically you know you've got. This team was like a chip on his shoulder and the whole cities sort of developed a chip on his shoulder in toronto. Sports fans already have the anyway. I'm not a leaves fan. But like i've been obviously been around it my whole life so i understand. It's the same with the blue jays you know like so. I think toronto sports fandom is enough to support another team but but basketball represented this thing. That was just like the i mean. It's just so much more of a like diverse crowd that goes to raptors gains. It was a lot of young like a younger crowd. I think when they first started. And i got people from that generation that have like now brought their children the kind of into it and like they're going to grow up loving the raptors. So i think like an you know. It doesn't hurt that. The only team in canada..

"So i really anticipate that he'll come back like better than definitely like better looking a lot. Better than he was when he went out Just give them the work that he put it on the summer training in vegas and l. a. with the rest of the team and on zone so i've always got like a little sauce lot for pascal. This hard not to like. I think you bring up really points. Like i always try and remember. I mean two seasons ago. He was a role player coming off the bench and naive even averaging ten points per game and now look worries at. I mean like. That's so. I think it's not even necessarily tempering. Expectations is just realizing lake. Okay this guy went from being like pretty under recruited playing at a small school and then having a very small role to a pretty sizable role. Now the biggest role on the team. That's a massively taken three years like i think it's so easy to forget that And that's where i'm at too. I think it sounds cliche to say but it almost might be for the best for the raptors. They won out the way they did. Because it forces you to kind of reexamine where you're at in how you're approaching things and then you come back the next year so i think that's kind of where i'm at on pascal. Headed in he's a great. Do so i yeah. I'm excited for his growth. Yeah surprising like sorry. It wasn't like. I think a lot of tronto fans in like media tronto media probably not the rest of the media but intimidated them to go a lot farther than they did like honestly the celtics were only the like that. They had to go against them because they were kind of the only team that had their number. It was a really tough match up like it was going to be a tough assignment. They probably had within the bubble but then looking at the rest of like how the rest of the playoffs chicago. I was kinda like damn like they could probably be like most of these other teams but they just didn't really have the runway for it and if someone like pascal is a contributing or like having an explosive like having reliably explosive nights. That you've seen in be able to do. That's what makes him such a difference maker. then they're very slat like super flat on the floor. And i guess that's the trouble is some of my past. Gal is like explosive players. In general like how do you get them to channel that lay rare combustive quality. And like bring you know game after game because that's what makes them so special sometimes if there and sometimes it's not by being. That unreliable is tough when you get into a playoff situation. Yeah definitely and i think that was what was so different this year. Compared to last year. I guess to feels like last year two years ago. I actually just stop even mentioning dates at this point. Because i don. I don't even know what it is. But i mean that's what was so different like i mean he took on inquires role essentially in the. He's not ready for that yet. And that's fine like i mean koiwa state. You took like thirty seven shots in one game against philly. if i remember correctly like That's something i'm really excited about for this team moving forward. Because i think bringing chris finch was i. I remember saw notification. My first thought was damn. I wish the pacers had signed him. But then my second thought was. Wow that is awesome for the raptors like Obviously incredible offensive mine really well established and well whites coach I think he's kind of what's been missing a little bit earlier..

"Yeah. I mean why wouldn't you and? So I thought the Toronto Raptors. We're going to sort of let go the rope last year I thought everyone is getting up in age kyle lowry up Serge Ibaka. Marcus Marcus we saw it in the playoffs against Boston, he just didn't have the foot speed to be able to keep up with those guys in the pick and roll but I I'm really. FEELS LIKE In disrespectful, respectful for me to, say. that. TORONTO. I don't want to say they're going to be disappointing but I feel like there's no way today could sustain what they did this year and so you do you. Let me ask you. Am I seeing it wrong. We Love Toronto. But doing it for a year and they're doing it to following year when you might lose some guys I it didn't there isn't a drop-off inevitable here. You'RE GONNA be somewhat of a drop for this team. There probably is going to be, scall-, keep in mind the Toronto Raptors a year after winning the NBA Championship and losing collide Leonard and Danny Green they were fifty three and nineteen seventy, four percent of the Games. In the regular season we talked about how great Milwaukee wasn't Milwaukee worst great and the regular season they were dominant scowl on but Toronto's only two and a half games behind the the box I. in fact, if you look at the records I know a lot of this was the the good play in the seating games and the bubble by Toronto. and. The Lakers you know weren't as throttled up what Toronto the second best record and the entire league they had a better regular season record. Then the eventual NBA champion La Lakers scowl so I bring it up because you know look I if any organization can maintain that level, we've talked about the great respect we have for the raptors franchise and how they operate I. Think it is Toronto over that doesn't mean it's going to be easy to do is you know scale as an eleven year veteran and a guy who coached and now broadcasts league doing it Is Great it's incredible winning a championship doing it the next year when you have something to prove as good but maybe the hardest to do in sports scowl is to do it year after year consistently that's why only a few teams you know San Antonio with a twenty three year playoff streak and all that clearly you and I think Toronto is going to be a playoff team in the east again next year. But that doesn't mean you know they're win seventy five percent of their games and be one of the two or three best regular season teams in league next season. So. Let's get into their roster. Let's to and over under because I'm so curious about Fred them fleet I love the kid love him love the way he played I think he's hard. Know that love is poised on the floor. Weird economic market. And there are teams that are interested in him. So I'm a set the over under at twenty three and a half million dollars a season. The Great Ryan mcdonagh fifteen year executive am I am I going over that or under that for Fred Vanfleet? That's a lot of money but I think that's just about the right range scale I think it would be under but not a lot underwood me my guests I haven't probably closer to twenty people appointed to the Malcolm Brogden contract that you know we talked a lot about the pacers on this show that he signed with the Indiana actually sign and trade with Milwaukee in Indiana but essentially you know twenty million a year twenty, one year in that range which ironically enough as basically the same deal Victor Oladipo. I think that's kind of market for lead. But again, he's unrestricted he's young. He's good and he's also proven at a high level scale in the playoffs even in the NBA finals two years ago, which drives up the price and look there are teams teams with cap space? either. have it. Now, scanner can get it in my opinion relatively easily. Especially in the Eastern Conference with Seen Fred Van Bleed a lot starting with the new. York Knicks. Tom Sibito is not going to want to wait and win a thirty one percent of his games again, next year like that's not tom does you know that would drive him nuts he's going to want to improve the team. Now does that mean Leon rose in the front office they're going to want to spend eighty million dollars over four years for Red Vanfleet. We'll see but I think clearly the next will try to do something to address what I was the worst point guard rotation in the League, and then you know we talked about a team like the Chicago Bulls Scout with their young talent. They have young veterans. They don't have any superstars, but they have some good players led by Zach Levine Lauri Markkanen maybe Kobe white guys like that. They've got a gaping hole at the point in the last year that played Chris. Don Shaquille Harrison guys like that. So clearly, Fred vanfleet would be a significant upgrade offer those guys, I. Think both might have to make a move or two to get that kind of cap based but I bring it up. So y'all because. The market overall is limited, but point guard is the most important position in Fred van bleed is one of the most desirable things in any free as your marketplace. He's relatively young. He's proven and he's also an unrestricted free agent which means the Toronto. Raptors do not have matching rights. If he gets an offer somewhere else that he likes, you can just take it leave. Why do you think that his size like when I compare him to trae young I would take for Benfleet I like for example, at the top defensively he's really good. He bodies people doesn't get called. Vows has great hands. Why do you think in size is not that much of a factor like it should be I think he's really tough and really physical I think uses his body listed at six one threat that I don't think he's that that always maybe six foot scale but he's really physical and aggressive and I bring it up because I he's learned from a guy who's the master of that a little bit different body type but his teammate or maybe head of the hall of Fame Someday Kyle Lowry you and I talked a lot on this show especially during the Raptors playoff run this year about admiration. Respect for lowery who's tough and gritty he's not the most athletic guy to me a lot of ways lowry's career path scale mirrors that of Chauncey billups where he bounced around the league a little bit didn't find a home. Johnson found one in Detroit maybe going the hall of fame someday, and I feel the same about lowering bring it up because it seems like ramp lead is is learned from that he always had that toughness going back to Utah State when we scouted him but the challenges were. Big enough athletic enough. Well, he's tough. He's got big Mahoney's he. He can make big shots under pressure and he uses every ounce of that athleticism.

"Bring back in the star of our show Brian scale brain scale. We're going to get into the Toronto Raptors here in a minute, but there was some breaking news that Shamsher Ali reported when we live on this show about half an hour ago and that is out of Indiana the Indiana Pacers Have Gone through a head coaching search. They made the somewhat controversial decision to let go of nate McMillan after they were eliminated in the Orlando bubble keep in mind they were playing without. D'Amato Simonas as well as Jeremy. Lamb in the Orlando bubble swept out of the playoffs in the first round. By the Miami Heat scale they've gone through a long process. Other teams have started and finished their coaching searches on when I look at the Brooklyn Nets the La Clippers and others have hired head coaches Kogyo Bowls before Indiana but today this morning when the last hour it was announced and confirmed now by multiple sources that the Indiana Pacers are going to hire Toronto Raptors Assistant Coach Bjorkman I'm Scott you mentioned him spending time in the in the G. League. Julie Coach. One G. League title with the Iowa Energy when I was head coach excuse me when I was in the Phoenix Suns. Rg League head coach I thought did an excellent job as AG League head coach at that level is forty five years old he's he's from Iowa. Be coached the number of teams in the last two years he was. The top assistant. Nurse in Toronto, and now as of this morning, he is the new head coach of the Indiana. Pacers. And I love when people get their chance in their opportunity I think that especially being around nick nurse and I say the same thing about what your coach for Erik Spoelstra or your coach Brad Stevens or any of the you know the top level guys at it. You'RE GONNA, learn a ton from those guys. So Indiana for whatever reason they. With the research they did and and everything, and the way they want to position themselves moving forward I think that nate I think it's interesting that he has a head coaching experience which I think is important. He's not going to be floored by it. Right it's like a different. It's a different seat when your head coaching spot versus the assistant, and then also you you've had success and I think that that's important. I. Think it builds confidence in you as a coach in it. Re emphasizes what you believe when when you're part of a team that has success. So I, I'm really curious about this Indiana team I'm not sure that with him being the coach I'm GonNa make them. Have five more wins or ten more wins but I think it's really good team and they could be a team that you watch out for next year. Yeah it's it's a good head coaching job. We talked about earlier in the show and Nape Yorker. For relatively young guy he's forty five years old He is from Iowa and when I say Nick nurse go back scale they go way back to Iowa I think is the kids are teenagers maybe even a college you know they go back a long time and have a close personal relationship That's why as soon as Toronto made Nick nurse the head coach replacing Dwayne. Casey I New York and was going to end up on his staff and know last couple of years at referential has done as well as any in the League winning the championship a year ago, and then pushing the Celtics in the second round of the Eastern Conference semifinals this year. So I think that's one of the things that was attractive or is attractive to Indiana, Pacers about nape. Yorker. And he coach four different teams as head coach and the G. League scall- He. Was One hundred, twenty six, seventy four. So a very good Julie Record as I mentioned, he wanted you league title with the Iowa Energy in two thousand eleven when he was Rg League head coach with the Phoenix Suns I, thought he did a really good job of developing players ironically enough scout one thing I just thought of one of the guys that he helped develop when he was the head coach. G.. League team was Tj Warren who is now coaching you know in In Indiana Warren was one of the breakout stars of the Orlando Bubble last year. So there's a relationship there and a history there now now nate Bjorkman, we'll get to coach TJ warren an NBA uniform with the Indiana Pacers worn is really expanded as game with three-point shooting in the well rounded scoring ability. So I think they like that also seen kind of both ends of the spectrum in the NBA scale when he was an assistant coach with us with the Phoenix Suns. From two thousand, fifteen to two, thousand, seventeen under Jeff Hornicek, and then or Watson. We were going through a full-blown rebuild a bunch of young players I was challenging to keep guys motivated I. The losses piled up, but also develop young players and you know he should get some credit estrogen, Jeff, Hornicek or Watson others for helping young guys develop like Devon Booker in TJ warrant in particular list to really emerged very good NBA player. So interesting higher by the Indiana Pacers a little bit unexpected. Again, I thought they were GonNa go on Mike Dantonio, but they went with Nate Bjorkman. Scale get into nate's former team Yorkers former team that he is leaving, and that is the Toronto Raptors fascinating team. We just had on Steve Pfeiffer to talk about, Yoenis. My guest, this Gal that Messiah jury who's as good as any executive in the league also keep in mind is a legend. On the African continent. Jaanus was born in Nigeria he grew up in in Greece but he obviously knows a lot about Maceo Jerry and there was a relationship and mutual respect there. My guess is whatever Toronto does scale. They will find a way to have Max cap space next year in two thousand and twenty one especially if Yana said did a Combo does not sign the supermax offs extension this off season with walkie.

Boston - Report Details ‘Heated Confrontation’ Between Marcus Smart And Jaylen Brown, Who ‘Needed To Be Separated’

"Air down to Oh, they have a huge game three tonight against the Heat. Their season rests on it because, of course, no MBA team has ever come back from a 30 Siri's deficit. And it's time to see you. The Celtics are. Of course you read the reports. The athletic had the story on Friday. Postgame blowup falling game to Marcus Smart, Jalen Brown having a heated confrontation inside of the locker room they needed to be separated by their teammates. They then talked it out with Jason Tatum and Kemba Walker and Bride Stevens's room around one in the morning agent which Morales give ESPN had that is well yesterday. So this is a turning point for the Celtics and Are they going to fall apart or just going to be a rallying cry for them? Because there is one thing that's for certain the Celtics are a team right now. That can't close their close, but they can't cause it struggled to close against the Toronto Raptors. And they've struggled mightily to close against the Miami heat in games one and two of the Eastern Conference finals. And that is the reason why they're currently down, and that extends To the sidelines next since the coach Brad Stevens. You talk about Mike Budenholzer and some mistakes he made with the Bucks. Brad Stevens, also struggling to close and adjust to Erik Spoelstra and the Heat. So is this a Celtic seemed, is falling apart. Or is this a turning points? Thrilling Raptors and Celtics series heading to a game 7

"I want to switch gears. Now to the Toronto Raptors game versus the Boston Celtics obviously, it was gained six I really thought the Celtics were closed. One out. There are a lot of questionable calls this game specifically at the end of regulation there was a no call on a Kemba Walker left and I was clearly a foul, the Raptors one, one, twenty, five, the one, twenty, two in. A double overtime game to push this series to seven games. The best player was Kyle lowry man played fifty three minutes got thirty point three, hundred, thirty, three points, eight rebounds six assists absolutely incredible employed twenty-one Norman Powell had twenty three. He had a big and one after a steal one of the big places the game on the Boston Celtics side Marcus Smart. Twenty three he's been electric lately. Jaylen. Brown continues to improve after that bad game two games ago. He's at back to back bounce back game thirty, one points, sixteen rebounds and two assists Tatum at twenty, nine and fourteen and nine almost twenty nine point triple double ties with eighteen and seven Kemba. Walker was really the only no show for the Boston Celtics, tonight. At Five, points seven assists to eleven from the field and fifty one minutes. Only five points that's abysmal for Kemba. Walker. Especially going into team that I don't really necessarily think somebody that can guard him a guy like, Caldera. Maybe for advance leak got the assignment a couple of times and a couple possessions I understand that but I don't know. Big Win for the Toronto Raptors I really do believe this game simplicitas if I told you from the beginning of the series of toss up obviously the Celtics went up to all Toronto responded to go to tie it to to Boston got a big game five victory I thought that would really seal the series I thought the Celtics would win tonight the close up at the rafters just won't quit man they won't die one of the scrappy EST teams in the NBA. One. Of the best defensive teams than the to hold a team to what only one hundred and what twenty two points in double overtime keep in mind in double overtime. That's impressive. That's playing. Basketball essentially more that's playing what? No about five quarts of basketball the hold somebody to one hundred, twenty, two points is impressive stuff. Can they get it done and gained seven? I'm not sure I'm still going to have to take the Celtics I. Think the Celtics probably should have won this game I thought for a majority of the game. They were the better team and again that no call and Kemba Walker at the end of regulation was a brutal. No call I thought two free throws, and then obviously maybe Toronto a game winner I game tire and not sure. Again Kemba Walker should have gone two free throws at the end of the game. My opinion was a close one but all is fair in love and war the referees for pretty much every game are always going to be considered bad right. Every single playoff game fans are going to have a disagreement with it but specifically, that can no call that was poor that was a bad call.

Over the Raptors in the Eastern Conference semi finals match up Jason Tatum leading all scores on the night with 34 points. "In the Boston Celtics. Don't tangle in the second round of the N BA playoffs after completing Four game sweeps. Let's bring in one half of quickies corner. Galen Quickie joining me here on a F in sports. Hey, Galen. Good Monday morning before they boarded you bad. Yes. Toronto raptors that you know they would They swept for Ah. Over the Brooklyn dead. They have one problem, though, Kyle Larry, they're they're great point guarded as an injury that you know that could keep about. They're a little nervous about that. Toronto really, you know, would have fried. You know, there's there's double to seize these playoff. Great Nick Nurse continues his greatness. We just want to end the coach of the year again. So that's your problem. The Toronto has Kyle Lowry could be out. They don't have a problem with their bench outside of Cairo. Lowry not being on it, possibly if he's injured 100 points in that game. That's incredible, Galen. It is And you know if you look at Toronto's roster, like you said, they're bed has been great. And a lot of people don't know what these guys are. Groundbreaking New Material 'Could Allow Artificial Intelligence to Merge With the Human Brain'

"Groundbreaking new material could allow artificial intelligence to merge with the human brain. Well, that's what Elon Musk has been working on with the stuff. This is not directly connected to that although I suppose he could use this material in his product. Scientists have discovered a groundbreaking bio synthetic material that they claim can be used to merge artificial intelligence with the human brain. Previously has been hard to use the typical stuff you would use for some sort of a cable or wire things like gold, silicon and steal. They can cause scarring when they're implanted into your mind to turn you into a Cyborg because you're not made of metal. So, unfortunate, your made a guts and skin and stuff. Good old fashioned biology data. How dare you gooey stuff the gooey stuff The meat sack. What they say that's you full of meat. Yeah. So obviously, we're outdated and we have to get upgraded. We gotta get upgraded and so in order to do that, they're going to use. A type of material we got the idea for this project because we were trying to interface rigid organic micro electrodes with the brain, but brains are made out of organic salty live materials. Those pesky brains. pesky brains it wasn't working. Well, we thought there must be a better way we started looking at organic electronic materials like conjugated polymers that were being used in non biological devices. We found chemically stable example that was sold commercially as an anti-static coating for electronic displays. This polymers known as P. Dot. Org pedo maybe it's a French philosopher by the name of bidault. Sounds appropriate or dot. Like t dot no says t dot. Back in the day ever that the that didn't last that long or did it. Did. Never. Really. was never really the choice in my circles no. T dot in order to reference the city of Toronto was never a popular choice in my circles. Was it a popular choice in your circles? No no, it's just all you do is say Toronto Toronto without the T, at the end. Yeah it's all you have to do. Anyway show Toronto Raptors because when we checked up on the game, they were up like thirty they're up like thirty. But who knows probably since we started filming this because we were like that gave is done and then probably now Brooklyn Brooklyn came all the way back I. Doubt it. Not, against those raptors. This versatile I it'll polymer was recently discovered to be capable of transforming house breaks into energy storage units due to its ability to penetrate porous materials and conduct electricity your brain, your porous gooey brain needs to be penetrated, and this material will allow that to happen. So you can be upgraded. Understand Down for that. Okay. You'RE GONNA be number one. LISTEN UP LISTEN UP Ilan. Wills going to be the first guy on on your brain implant assembly line just stick them in a chair put him through the conveyor. And upgrade that man. Meet Suck upgrade the man.

"For the twenty nineteen NBA, Champs the Toronto Raptors. Eric Smith. Grey. Eye Eric, how are you? Doing. Very well, thank you very much. If we. As Tronto Basketball fans twenty one, thousand, nine, hundred, eighteen, twenty, thousand nine. You. Know what what a season that we had to defining year for for fans. When Twenty Twenty March twenty twenty comes around. And everyone is saying. Can we go back to twenty nineteen three fast forward? Through twenty twenty. But I'm now thinking I. Don't know about you eric that. Maybe, twenty twenty year that. Really, we're we're. We're changing I hopefully. We're changing the way that we treat each other. Yes, moving forward when your thoughts on that. Listen just to be clear. I'm ready to ready to answer this an absolutely ready to go. Are we rolling? We are we were. I think you're banging on. I think that there's no denying it was what a eight twelve weeks ago. More than that. Obviously when things started, but it was probably eight or ten weeks ago where we all were saying making we just hit the reset button can can can twenty twenty just go away? I think there are a lot of people certainly NBA circles. That were looking to the very beginning of the year when David Stern passed away and then when Kobe Bryant Steph came at the end of January as well so even just within the NBA community that were. Significant stories to start the year, and then all of a sudden we get to the first weaker little longer than the first week of March and the NBA to me was perhaps the league that kind of started it all almost globally. I mean there were already certain countries especially overseas that were starting to. Go into lockdown measures in quarantining or whatnot, but it seems like the world in general no-doubt. North America didn't truly take notice in didn't truly extinct drastic steps until the NBA said. We're done. We're hitting the pot right now and I think because of all that, and because of the fear that all of us added as as humans. As brothers and sisters in husbands and wives, parents, and grandparents, and aunts and uncles, everybody kids. You know people of all ages I think we were scared I think there's still a lot of people that are scared in terms of what's happening in the world What's going on? When will it go away? If it goes away? Will there be a vaccine? Won't there be a vaccine? Who will take it? Who Won't take it? HOW SAFE THEM I? Is it okay to go public? Should I wear a master? We're asking the questions. Go on and on and on and I. Think you can way on people and I think that's probably the reason why a lot of folks were just saying it. The pause button no hit the race button. Let's yet act to twenty nineteen. Let's pretends didn't even happen, but as you say now. What has happened. In the last couple of weeks specifically. And certainly, since since the killing the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. I believe that. In the wake up, call should have happened a long time ago for many. And I'M NOT GONNA sit here on some some high per. Se That I. You know I've always been aware. And I've always been fighting the 'cause I believe I've been an ally. I believe I've been away, too. Many of the issues I believe supported. All or the at the very least most of the issues over the years I like to think that at live my life in a good way, and if treated people Broccoli, even through all of this I've seen there's more I can do. And even if my doing is using my voice using my platform again, being stronger ally, for friends for colleagues just for humanity period and I think because of that There's a sense of no. We shouldn't delete twenty twenty. We need to use twenty twenty as the wakeup call for what needs to change not just between fellow man. Obviously. Men are one night when I of course Even, if doughnuts, not the diver conversation, but even the impact on our environments everything. You again I. I know we're going to circle back to. The current race relations in the issue surrounding that led no doubt but you just think of the impact that covert has had on the lack of pollution and bluer skies and cleaner skies and cleaner air, and more animals, roaming in in neighborhoods in areas that they didn't before and clean waters, and all of that I think should serve as a wakeup call to perhaps the way we need to live in the way. We need to treat our earth. Yeah, better when? I do return to normal quote, unquote, whatever normal ends of being. Yes I was speaking with a a friend of mine. WHO has battled? Three different types of cancer. over the past. Less than a decade. And, she was saying she has like a new. Outlook on on on how she approaches life. You know just with what she's gone through. her name was Manila and when he was telling me that. You, know when when cove hit. You know obviously. Everyone is is in a in a state where you're freeze. You're trying to figure out what to do next door. How do you approach this in one of the things that she did was? What can I learn from this week at I? How could I become better and I think one of the things for me. Is is empathy..

What does the future of sports look like?

"Do you remember the night that coveted nineteen got serious and North America? It was early March. Donald Trump gave an oval office address to America about the new corona virus. At the same time Tom Hanks announced he'd tested positive. And meanwhile a basketball team was being pulled off the four. Utah's no longer on the floor. The thunder no longer on its bench. The officials have gone back to walk through fans here in the arena. I don't know what's going on. We don't know what's going on has been postponed also this astounding and unprecedented story continues to evolve the NBA is suspending the season. I say that understand. Now this is gonNA sound stupid. But we'll all that was going on. I was watching it happen. I was drafting a fantasy baseball team for the upcoming season. And now because I can't bear to turn them off I get notifications every week. Reminding me to set that fantasy teams lineups. There are no lineups. Baseball is a fantasy right now. There are no sports and beyond my stupid fake team even beyond all our collective excitement about things like watching the Toronto Raptors. Try to repeat. The absence of sports has an impact. There are hundreds of thousands of people who make a living directly or indirectly from those games all work but also on a more psychological level and this age of streaming and on demand and specialized curated playlists live. Sports are one of the very few things left that millions of people experienced together at the same time and the absence of that has an impact to a sports. World hasn't stopped. It's actually oddly busier than ever. Just in very different ways. They're huge changes coming to these games. Some of them will be temporary but some of them will be permanent. And someday when you watch a game on TV or go to a game in person or even if you don't give a crap about sports if you find downtown in a big city on a game notice those changes. When will that actually happen? And what do they look like? Nobody knows at least not yet. But we will talk to someone who has been working on finding out as soon as claire catches us up on what you need to know right now. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Says the government will have more funding and an expanded job placement program for? Post secondary students who are struggling to find work. He says all the programs introduced for students will add up to about nine billion dollars. Antero has now become the second province after Quebec to call in military helped to fight the corona virus in long term care homes premier. Doug Ford says this is meant to provide operational and logistical assistance. So that workers can focus on caring for residents Ontario's also expanding cove nineteen testing to every resident and worker in long term care homes on Prince Edward Island the premier and top health officials say. They're hoping to lift some of the restrictions around Kovic nineteen in early. May they say this'll be done slowly and with consultation it's still not known when school's in. Pe. I will reopen. And the one thing the premier says will not change anytime soon is the restriction on mass gatherings. Pi has had twenty six cases of the virus. As of Wednesday evening. Canada has now topped forty thousand cases of covert nineteen with two thousand and seventy four deaths. Jordan he'd Rawlings and this is the big story Richard A writer for the athletic. He is also the CO host of writer's Block on Sports Net five ninety fan in in Toronto and he is also the CO host of a new podcast called sports on Fos sports podcast much and a pandemic with no sports. Hello Richard why? Don't you start as somebody who's just completely immersed in the world of Sports By telling me what you've learned about sports since they've vanished. Well that's a good question. I think first and foremost it just re emphasizes the importance of the escapism in our lives. It's not to say that prior to covert nineteen. We didn't recognize and understand how important sports is. But I think it's sort of human nature that when you lose something that you love when you lose something that is very close to you it really reinforces in reminds you just how much you've missed it. The interesting thing about this so far is that the literal time it's been gone isn't long. I mean we haven't been a year away from sports. We haven't been five years away from sports. You know depending on sort of your locale or what your sport is. We're looking under two months still but it feels longer. That's kind of the interesting thing with this. That it feels like we've been missing all the stuff for such a long time and it reinforces just how important and you know how how impactful it is all our lives and no matter what your sport is. The likelihood is it impacts you in some form or matter on a daily basis whether you're watching the live event where you're reading about the Levin Bet. Whether your you know on facebook or twitter instagram talking tweeting or posting about the lot. Then so I think that's for me. What the absence of sports is Is reinforced is just how central a figure. It is in in so many lives were. Yeah they were Sports are so integrated into kind of the rhythm of our daily life. And I'm not just talking about you know you. As a as a sports journalist myself as a sports fan but Just the way kind of life ebbs and flows are a constant and. I guess what I want to know is what happens in that billion billion dollar industry when all of a sudden there's a huge vacuum and there's just nothing well a lot happens And it really depends on what area you want to focus on. You know for a the business part of the industry you're seeing furloughs layoffs and tournaments and or jobs that will never come back. Rogers Rogers Cup just announced. It's cancelled and tennis. Canada just furloughed all sorts of people. And it's their intention to bring people back but you just don't know you don't know what the what the future holds think about all the teams that Think about all the people who work either for a sports team and just think about like well the vice president or the public relations person or the or the player but all the jobs that are associated around sports the bars and the restaurants that do business on game days people who Who Work in the businesses in the neighborhood outside of ballparks vendors who provide sports teams will whatever they provide so the reason. It's a six billion dollar businesses. Because there's so many ancillary parts connected to it so very few people are not impacted by it at least culturally or psychically. But then there are millions of people who are literally economically impacted by it and those are the ones. I think about because the reality is all the jobs. Don't come back you know. My Hope. Is that most do? But I'm a realist to know that all won't what have we learned about? Who's getting taken care of an? Who's not since this has begun in the sports world. You know I've seen A lot of athletes and and some teams reaching to take care of their employees and then some outcries over other teams just letting everybody going letting them fend for themselves. Well usually learn who you know or again to sort of have these larger takeaways. At this point I think is impossible and probably a little arrogant and that we don't know what the world is going to sort of hold for us six months from now what it doesn't terms of a Sort of a micro focus is it does tell you what what institutions are community minded. What organizations are trying their best to save jobs versus doing immediate cuts? But I would say honestly for the most part. A lot of these sort of questions won't get answered for for months. We don't really know what it means because we still don't know how long how long were in this abnormal situation. And they're going to be parts of North America that returned faster and parts of North America. That a more conservative don't and we don't even know the impact of of what that means you know on a personal note. I support listening to the medical professionals and scientists and if that means we have to stay at home longer means that at the same time. I'm very fortunate where I have a job where I'm able to do that and still navigate. You know there are other people who hands so. It's just very hard to to answer that question organizations that really care about their employees. I think will do come up with the most creative solutions. They can't ultimately save jobs. Preserve Jobs. I wanted to ask you about the big picture. I but now on On more micro level you're doing daily sports radio and now You've launched a sports podcast at a time without sports What the heck you guys talking about. Well you'd be surprised. I mean if you have enough creative in And Smart People. And I'm not referring to myself on that is sort of behind the scenes people and producers technical directors etc. You can come up with stuff like the the fact is like the Nexus of sports and covert nineteen is is pretty significant from what these leaves are thinking now to what players are doing to athletes who are connected to medicine right now and some of the more remarkable things that that they're doing everybody essentially within this has a story that's kind of why they're still a lot of content to do. It's because every person in the sports world in some ways impacted this you know. Roger Goodell and Rob Manfred are impacted in a certain way commissioners of Leagues. And they have to figure out what the how to navigate the next path where. Hayley wickenheiser is impacted differently. Someone who's a former athlete but also an emergency room doctor? So you know has to sort of navigate that world so at least for both the sports on pause as well as writer's block I I have

"The country find some common ground between Democrats and Republicans and then lead lead the way a leadership. Mike will get it done. I'm Mike Bloomberg candidate for president. And I approve. This message paid for by Mike Bloomberg Berg Twenty twenty. You remember where you were and how you found out that I was leaving. Yeah I was in a club. Actually Think Susana Club is a cargo as one of my best friends Bachelor weekend so we went out and it was funny was sitting there ethical and my phone and Detects comes to I write it takes. Everybody heard about is the gown founded the Mike the DJ's he's giving shout the whole leaf rather than here so then like the text come through from Hawaii. And he's FELLAS. I'm leaving whatever. One second goes by everybody. False start. Lighten up Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding so literally as present on his texts debt. Probably they sent it the press in audits at the same time like like the news. The News went out right all at the same time he did. They did a great job. Keeping Undergrad so I think it all went out at the same time are we got architects. I did news when out here comes the guy on the Mike. Okay is going to La. Uh so all the net till we had we had Good time just you know it was cool. We appreciate them for what he did. And and you know I like the fact that he Texas before did it whether he had to do that or not. I thought that was pretty cool. Do you wish on his way they weren't they didn't what the entire club Denison. All just all turn towards you felt that way felt that way not could have been in my own mind signed or or not but it definitely felt that way And obviously had to deal with everybody coming up to you like hey quiet leaving. Yeah I know yeah I'm aware yeah you move on and you start to think about what that means for you and and what that means for the next year and and you start to turn your mind into a different place in India ready in the movie version of this. Dj would literally do the record. Scratch quite wise leaving. It wasn't maybe we were somewhere else. But I don't think people was that lockdown goes as big of a deal there did hit you emotionally at all. I mean we often you know like I know he was only there a year and every team got relationships are different. Everything else but does does a hit you on any kind of emotional level or is it just. We are because we're also used to the idea one that the NBA A is a business as cliche goes but also that it's common now for guys to go there were certainly tons of speculation about L. A.. And everything so I guess us on some level. It probably wasn't that big of a shock but did you feel any kind of level of like. Oh Shit like I can't believe the files. MVP's walking away or is it is it. Does it feel more just a kind about pragmatic we're on to the next. It wasn't that big of a deal. I think you know they drew it out quite a bit right so I think there's there's a little cabinet miles there so I think throughout that process it Kinda was anticlimactic a little bit for for me at least like smoke. There's fire something's going on in between here like I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves. I think for the most part the common belief was how could you leave. That's kind of what the thought process was like all right. Yeah he might leave. I could see why he will leave. But I got to see it first so one. That actually happened like them. Okay you know he did and The more surprising thing was the Padras thing right so that was like so it goes from Korea going to La then boom like wait. What is so then you start to put everything together? They are cool like the guy wanted to go home and he wanted to. You know do his own thing in and how they put it together was cool for them. So yeah you wish them. Well no and I was like it wasn't it wasn't that big of a deal You know he was there a year we did feel like I built a solid friendship karate with him during the second second half of the year and obviously he was super important to us when a championship. But we want so like that. Was the number one goal anything after that was we knew it. I knew what it was. He didn't ask to go to Toronto. He never chose to go there but Definitely to my hat to them for for the year that he it was. Yeah we were talking a little bit earlier and before we start recording him just about you know. Media Narratives Jared and I were talking about things get get fixed two guys whatever and so like the story sorry for probably the rest of your career which will still be many more years to come and be like well Fred Van Bleed who was undrafted and then over whatever and it's always this kind of story of exceeding expectations which is not a bad cliche narrative to have a fix to you because it means you're you're constantly outpacing what anybody else could have expected. Do you like it that way. Does that get old. Because it's like everybody who gets in this league your elite just to get here we all lose track of that because compared to some of you guys in this league others there's a big span and that for four hundred fifty players but do you. Do you enjoy that aspect of it because again this season you got career career highs across the board. Nobody saw coming what you did in the postseason. You just. We're at this whole the level that that was a really fun ride and now it's okay now it's just even the next step step is not just. It's not just filling the gap of it's you and a bunch of guys. How enjoyable is that to constantly? Just as soon as everybody feels like they gotta beat on. You Know Fred van lead who was undrafted and then await there's going to be five more sentences about all the other stuff he just did. I mean is great. I think that a good position GonNa be and like I could complain. Everything is at some point to ask your question but I mean this is. This is where I'm comfortable at and and that just to be honest I don't want your hype Don't I don't want it. I promise you I don't want it. I'm not don't fit the algorithms. I'm not click. Click Bait I don't ever want to be and I don't know how many of us are off. It is but I think that yeah. I think like I'm cool with where I'm at and it's a constant reminder that nobody will ever believe in you like you believe in yourself and that's something that I've come to realize because I've had to and and this is like no matter what I do. There's always another ceiling to break through. And you know that's fine I don't live for other people's ACKKNOWLEDGEMENT or praise or whatever the case may be not doing joy get respect from my peers and people that I respect but as far as that like I'm I'm very very comfortable being quote unquote underdog and being in that the only thing that gets annoying now is so mainstream of thing like like especially with social media. Everybody wants to come from the struggle and everybody wants to be underdog everybody wants to overcome is like talking about top. Five picks or overcoming miniver. See like come on man. That's like a sorry cheap like narrative. I mean so being thrown into all of that Kinda gets watered down a little bit but you know this is this is my story has been written so far and I wouldn't have and the way a couple of people mentioned this. Just the idea that you have this like ultimate confidence in yourself ultimate belief in yourself. Where does that come from? Where where is there anything just in terms of the you know your career path long before the NBA? And we're just as as a kid is. There's something that kind of instilled that in you that okay not getting drafted or any other of the obstacles pickles. They get came up early. Wouldn't because some people they might throw off the course right for you because of this ultimate belief so where where does that draw from a deep deep question because this is a lot like I mean you start from the beginning of had unbelievable family and support system now always pumped me up and built me up and told me that you know whatever I wanted to do I could do. I remember from as early as I can remember. I always told my mom wanted to be an NBA and she never not wants to say anything other than we'll go do it. and like that builds up a kid right and so from new age and then you you get into a little deeper the story of how grew up and what I had to go through certain things like that like I always had to be sure myself just and in my personality analogy and my character is just I really believe in what I believe in and then I've had to stand on that and you can't walk around my City where I grew up. And not be that because you're gonNA get exposed and so all of those things go into who you are as a player and then once I got older like I work my ass off man like I really put work in every single summer drought this season day in day out. I put a lot of work and so I have no choice but to go out there and feel like I know I can do because I've done it. I've done it when nobody's watching. I'd do it in gym every day in the summertime and so it's no different when you get out on. The court is just is basketball with a lot of people watching. And if you create that pressuring Your Head and you'll stumble a little bit but if you just go you know let it fly and you see what happens. Can you be able to live with the results. I've heard too that you were a guy who was a pretty vocal leader on this team even from early just smile. It's like there's like that doesn't happen. That often write a guy comes in young. And you know there's veteran cast around them so again like there's obviously something in you that I felt like I don't have to prove to these guys. I I know who I am one of about Did that catch guys off guard. Maybe maybe but I think I mean from day one. Everybody's pretty accepting of me like I had to give Kyle DEMARCO's guys credit. You know for allowing me the floor. You know this before I I was even playing. I wasn't even getting any minutes and I have those guys ear and I could speak to them and tell them different things that I saw from the bench and they would listen and and maybe they were. They were blocking out there hit but they never disrespected me to say shut up like they always at least acted like they were taking it and so that gave me the confidence to a Q.. Speaking I've always been a natural born leader. I think that's something as as in you and There's a certain glow or at that attracts people to you that I've always always had and so obviously you know you can only lead so much without playing. You know to be honest and so once ministered to go up and started to be able to approve it and be accountable on the floor day in and day out. I think that that's allow me to grow as a leader within my teammates and also with the coaches just to to have with a voice that people respect and I don't over use it and I try to pick spa but I think when I speak people. Listen for the most part. And that's something I'll take a lot of. That's probably my greatest trait. I think you know that never gets talked about because we like to focus on tangible things but nothing. My leadership qualities are probably at the top. Who've who've of WHO I am as a player and you'd have to have pretty good leadership qualities and communication skills especially in a group like this and it's especially like guys like Mark Assault and Sergio have been around a awhile and kyle is not exactly a shrinking violet? Yes so you beg. I guess you've got to be pretty skilled at it for that kind of group to listen to one of the still one the younger guys in the locker for sure I mean. Give those guys credit to to a street. I'm not saying I'm the greatest leader that's ever walked the planet but like those guys it's a give intake and I think that you know you have to be accountable yet to be a good friend and a good teammate. And and then you know you figure out the rest and we we disagree all the time honors arguments that news blow ups and then you know you move on and figure it out after but I think the number one we WANNA win. We really care about winning. I we all I want to be great in our in our own rose and then everything else falls under and I think just the honesty. That's my you know that helps me. A lot is just be honest and not being afraid to speak my mind also picking my spots. You know the truth doesn't need to be off time And so that's something that I've learned as I've gotten older..

And so they divide up to three camps. That's basically like Kenya's GonNa be playing bad cop porsches like bats last night's gop can't he's GonNa be quiet Cobb up his forces versa of good cop bad cop the bad cop bad gobble up so then we get a commercial break so then when we come back. It's like finding funny extremists. Like what is it. I don't know it's just a big three. Yes gotTA suspicious now. I think it's me. Oh all more like insistent cop so so then. Bb then cut over tomorrow a knee and like Marlowe Anini and sent the the same area like any Sincere called me to say thank you for the car in the platter and And what did did you want to say Cynthia. Cynthia feels like I wanted to say thank you you just like Oh you're welcome. Thank you who sweep and I had that car and then also guard and then I found the card again so Hashtag card gate void it here and awesome deal like yes I I told marlow techs you Because obviously like we're blocked so yeah and we learned that basically Cynthia Block Niimi so then you block simpkin return earn and since he goes typically tit for tat. I blocked her. She blocked me back. I'm like I'm not going to be often on the inside but if you block someone I think it's like I think that's like a that's an okay time to be petty and be like final block. You back I think that's okay. And of course always trying to act like she's so innocent event but she was after all this she was so. I wanted to block Mimi. Come on Cynthia. Don't be mad that don't be mad. That Nina blocked you after you blocked her come on now. So then Their friends again. So Cynthia shows are the ring. So you're gonNA know something's fishy with the other girls Charles. And she's like well. I'm just watching the dynamics of how you guys operate. And there's a lot of food food going on everyone's pretending to be real you know what Foo Foo is right. Do I need to get it and bordered on a jacket. You're gonna I mean she does seem rattled. I still I still think your mom is looks super guilty personally. Yeah of course I'm I don't know who it has to be on all right so anyway Yovani says she knows who it is but she's not gonNa tell right. which is what you say when you're caught but you want to deflect so she's like she's not going to tell And so she has a Porsche. Porsche is really clever. She goes well. If you know someone Monte recorded Cynthia and you're not telling your the ones being fake now because you're gonNA was the one saying that like Oh people aren't real in this group. No one's real. It's an apple. Well you're the ones not being real because you're not saying you recorded even though you say you do you now. I think that somebody who's recorded a conversation and then leaked it. Or whatever isn't really worried about their moral standing. Uh No yeah exactly and then Dennis is coming. I'd like to thank everybody. Forget it being amazing Canada to Canada. Ebbing Canada Okay and DENNISON's they're up stage Johnny at her own party. Yeah because he starts ambling the crowd like like it's like it's like a slow moving like you just like this slow moving creature just blading throw. He's like that. He's like that you ever see that. Yeah he gets down on a knee anti to be continued and next week. Maybe the hotel fight not sure sure but I like to save Dennis going down on when he in the same flashes that they use for meany beating somebody up in a closet whereas I flashed a black could do getting on any last of back dome taking her head. "Goes you you conquer extra regular for you tonight. Girl and then cuts back to Menia. And she's like well. The thing with Porsche is that it was just so personal. She took sheets. She's made it sound like I was fat shaming her and I was like bitchy. Where fat before you were pregnant? God you're you're the worst uh-huh she is truly terrible. Surely jewelry terrible so yeah so yeah then upstairs the the guard is like all right guys. We're GONNA do a new activity and if you're feeling extra spicy you can put your hand like a Superhero Wall. That's a lot of Toronto's nice so once they finish. The girls are screaming and hugging each other. Like Oh my God. We are true sisters now being being strapped to the side of a building like that and candy. It's like yeah. They're courtney cash balls. Yeah so now they. They all had back the hotel in the And you're GONNA still needs Nair by the way because I guess there's no Amazon prime delivery up there so she's in need 'em she she needs Nair or just this way maybe a soul as their salon ago waxing a nail salon which you can get this taken care of like come on you're gonNA be creative support. Getting her is dead in her room and development brings her some flowers. Big Big Bouquet of hot dogs As usual you know of chorus she falls for it now. You know luckily said before it. Now it's like the end of Cinderella Cinderella ended while right Depends on who you ask. Uh some some people not so great. Some people are like The me it's still my man. So yeah no kidding. Cinderella don't get US started on Cinderella at certain version by end certain weird like dark versions. Listen Durell ally when does have sisters like they like rick cutting off their heels if it into the glass. slipper clipper against dark into the woods. Well those are the Hans Christian no those are the grim rathers. Yeah and into the woods that musical shows is that part. The second act is like the the second part of a Fairy Tales Cinderella. Snow White's husbands are both cheating on them. They're miserable assholes. Oh I I assault on Broadway with Mallory From Mallory was a Valerie. Ferrari me from no no. No no no no I know the mom from too close for comfort played. What played the witch? I would pay to see Mallory. I think maybe your name was. Oh no no. I'm sorry. Uriel Muriel Muriel. Muriel for comfort played the witch Broadway nineteen eighty nine on. PBS Great Performances starring Benedict Pitas. uh-huh yeah the greatest. Yeah No. Muriel took overburdened. Peter Some Research Natalie how what a fall into the way. That's the second could act of into the woods into the woods as into the woods is the second act of life like following up Brett Peters with the lady from. She's a tire casts. What's his face on there? A and what's his name. The guy says name. I am sorry on Hollywood squares. J Jim Look thank you So Porsche Let's see support for this. And she calls bluster. She gets pliers from Tim. Tape Elec saying sorry that I put you through that experience of seeing the other lady from too close for comfort written into the woods and see immediately calls her sister. I rewound it to make sure that they said her sister and her assistant. Because I was really shady when her Kyron s assistant true the so Lawrence Wow oh. Denis knows how to find the forest and other countries I love that accidental lauren voice. That was amazing. Wow I'm just gonNA keep going keep going out like no no. That was hilarious. So it'll be a lawyer that floors and other countries. Because he sent flowers and Japan. I don't I know like it's romantic when men send flowers but that one I don't trust it. Don't trust it at all. They've always they've always done something wrong. This case supports cheated you know. So that's why sending flowers it's like proving proving that true you know every time he's cheating gathering something wrong. Here's flowers in the middle of the day for no reason and then he sent a note that said Doggonit. I'm sorry and I'm sorry I think it said I'm sorry right to say I love you. I don't know what does that. But is that dog gonnit as in hyphen like dog. Gone in so my first first reaction was like Oh God he'd lost the hotdog business but apparently like portions reported as I'm not. I'm no longer in the doghouse. I was like They think he means that. You're you're free hot. Dogs are are expiring and he needs to start working again if you want them. Also this is the season that Dennis is being accused of bestiality. So I don't know why he's putting on his car and I don't know if he's heard that gossip really. I'm like a little upset that we didn't didn't nominate that for some sort of a crappy word. The strange really not very well addressed bestiality rumor. That's lingering in this season. Yeah now. We're already putting dog on your like makeup cards I get you have a hot dog business but wow I would love a hot talk right now though Dennis yes he is he's in the house like so Tony'll laying close out on her bed and there's wacky music playing cracks me up that of a ruge you should say. Let's be honest the famous Allen Lazar Song a rookie La I wonder about a Regula so yeah. So she's began APP. And then Paul or her there fiance or husband. I forgot they set feel manning I thought she was married but but he shows up paalea yet he shows up. It's like oh but then like right behind him. I'm like it's like the grudge reboot is happening and starring Dennis because he just appears out of nowhere and music. She's like Oh Dennis I can't. She's literally falling on the ground and Dennis's like had come get my lady back. I hate that I hate that. Dennis is doing this because Porsche said that. She was looking forward to like girls weekend. Having Fun getting her free gone she could like maybe flirt with some guys whatever and then he just comes and he's going to ruin it because he he decides that he is going to win her back like no. It's not up for you to win her back. It's up for her like this on her terms and you're not letting it be on. Her terms just really annoyed me. Well I guess it's poor for centers of course already back you know. She think okay. I was mad at him on camera for says. It's all over now so sees Dennis is like he's a ring because he's GonNa give the ring back and everything brought the Ring Atanas like Oh my God. I'm so excited for you to to get back together. Are you going to do it. He goes I don't know did he. Not just tell you the gigantic ring. That's really all the the word supports it needs. I think he's just going to rely on that big personality of his. Okay so let me see here. We keep cutting back and forth to Laura. No no not you. It's me because this episode keeps cutting back and forth to these scenes like something really exciting happening. But it's just it's still on the phone with Lauren and Lawrence like hey. I said that you guys shouldn't be talking to each other during therapy and take care. There's no connection Dan I can hear you hang up a So now it's like It's not for the your tiny already gone ahead to re cocktail party. which is like? We're all her friends and family are so she's pretty much like putting in quality time with her real friends etc and so everyone else is on the man and Kenya starts like making fun of timing on the bus station. Which of course is ignoring and then it turns into a classic? Let him take each other seeing. Yeah Kenya SALESFORCE maxed and forces puts her starts taking southeast herself. And just doing Cynthia basically. But it's not far from I'm just Porsche Porsche. By the way I know it's a funny thing for porcelain notice about somebody else. It is it really is they're all doing it. Like candy doesn't need Cynthia does a pretty funny Marlowe actually and even does you're gonNA which I thought was like low hanging fruit but then it's like Yulon's turn the music stops so we can be a disaster as she starts doing poorer show a this is not gonna go well. Yeah we'll see kind of bends over so her bet sticking being out and then she just keeps saying anybody have chicken. Anybody chicken anybody deviled eggs. Anybody have deviled eggs. Anybody deviled eggs. Anybody have chicken which is like Ah Pinch. I'm not about to be asking anybody for deviled eggs because like saying no good or are no good yes. She said everyone's deviled. Eggs are not that good and then I had to stop and think I was like you know. I've had a bad Abdel that Kinda love deviled egg. So then she burps which is perfect and then she's mad at Yovani for saying that seats chicken all the time she's like. I asked chicken all all the time and you know Mama says food all the time she gets chicken of course only when to get offended sports. Yeah Eh devil sounds delicious to me so now they all show but this cartoon party and tiny of course. Oh my God what.

That means exact letter to send the like the letter that she sounds like a platter platter of meats or whatever was that she sent us Cynthia's like wine cellar thing. How did that? Exact letter wind up on E. Scott who's like a big blogger. Okay yeah well you think about this okay. Obviously meany gave it to be Scott right right so she gave this letter to make herself look really good but then Kenya last week was saying well obviously needed it to make herself. Look good and Blah Blah Blah. So NIIMI saying no. Can you did it. And she's just trying to make it look like I did it. It's very we were just talking about Beverly Hills. But it's very like that story line. You know the blogs but they were doing it to make it look like I did it to make me look bad but withdrew. It's such a convoluted way to make somebody look terrible shrew though it did make me question which is crazy crazy because I was like okay. Obviously knee says to make herself look good but I also wouldn't put it past Kenya to snap a picture of the of the card at the event and then Texas is someone because Kenya is marshy. Does play like that and she would do that and then start like making it. Look bad for NI. I I don't see don't know because I also don't believe Nina's truthful so this is like this is a very difficult call for me. I don't know what do you think i. It's it's it's difficult because it's too monsters up against each other like which monster depict you're covered in slime either way but the Scott has been going off on twitter which is really funny and be like. Oh really you don't talk to me. Then why did you invite me the palace when Andy was in town and over really you know so. Be Scott's kind going for Nina but not saying that meany was the one who turned it in another fight that we're going to get so into I can tell tells it goes on this. Never GonNA end well. The other thing is that knee is also likely Bandra Pompa in that light meeting would say I don't talk to bloggers but she would have someone like Giovanna or like Brent or Greg send it in so she's like no. I don't talk to bloggers just like no. I don't open doors but technically a door was opened in your room and technically like someone from your camp probably sent it to be Scott so you know what I'm back. I'm thinking needed this. I think we needed this. And that's why it's hilarious that Ni Lisa Banta pump have a low level few because they really are by the same person yes in certain ways. Well the important thing to remember is that meaning came up with the idea for Prom Queen. We've had a car drive through. Its window yesterday. Yes car that said boomer boomer three but it was driven by like a young guy younger guy with like a man Bon. I don't know what's going on bad decisions. Apparently he was like making a left from Robertson onto Santa Monica. So he's going. He's heading East on Santa Monica Boulevard. He's making a left and for those who don't know that's that corner is where the restaurant is and he lost control of his Ferrari and plowed into the front of pump. You only lose control of your Ferrari Davor going like. I don't know if you're speeding. Like how do you lose control of your car where you're just making a simple left Ternan intersection which leads me to say that. The guys that douchebag man bunk speeding I think his man bent just felt. It's calling you know passing. It was like backdrop dropped. Opt Up this man. I'm trying to get to work. You know that's true that's like more than a u-turn. I mean that was a crazy turn that he made into their. Yeah that was. It wasn't even the intern. He was supposedly. It's just making a left turn. And he lost control who has lost control while making a simple left. Turn from like they're not moving. Who are you talking to you? Last night I called bed about a crappy staff and so we were talking on the phone and it was dark and it was like I'm going to make a U-TURN I don't think I turn on the right St because I'm in Texas really dark out here inside turned. I almost went into a ditch. Okay that's different. Turn because a U turns are always u-turns have an inherent level of risk and trickiness to them. You were also like you're already driving. This is broad daylight. You're stopped at an intersection. And then you make a left into a lane like like I understand that like accidents happen but I'm just saying like how did you. How did your car goes so fast so quickly I mean it's a Ferrari that you didn't make simple left turn you instead went essentially sort of like? I don't know like North Northwest Direction. In like one second enough that you could like plow into a restaurant and crash the window like you're crazy you're crazy person with the man bun the man and the man bun crashed. Glad I got that off. My chest owes a crazy story and boomer boomer boomer stupid that's it was so funny okay. So so the point is meany who turned in the car so Nina saying well. Cynthia was telling me that the card went missing but then she founded again. Come come on now. Like since he has really sitting there questioning these cargo. Oh his knees card again. Yes card disappeared at now here. Who Cares why is that? Why would Cynthia Zia care that much about some stupid car buying around in a sea of gifts? And why would she tell me about that. I thought that need said that. She overheard Cynthia talking about that. But again that seems that seems like a very convenient fact that was put in there so oh marlow told me that. Yeah Marlow said that Cynthia. Jesus ACIS okay so Porsche is doing her makeup like it. Do you remember that you were just sobbing therapy two weeks ago. Yeah now. This is the most most romantic storyline in the world together. We're all supposed to love the hot dog. Yeah no I don't love the hot dog. Yeah she's doing her makeup and then Dennis face times and He's like I was like something must be wrong. Because he's like not in a tracksuit and yeah he's going to a funeral. So that's I guess that's sad. But then she drops like the phone the phone like drops into the sank. Like that just shows you that good or bad. He must be mine because the phone Phalle Dennis. Yeah the slippery slippery exactly so todd and candy the our face. Timing and candy is wearing black lipstick again. I don't I don't know I can't with the Black Lipstick I don't like it scares me. I used to it. It's just not. It's just not a norm. I'm just not used to it. You know it's like the first time you saw crimped hair and you're like oh my God you cup tears. Amazing yeah exactly like low rise jeans so Yeah so she's todd. Who at this point is probably like bought a sailboat? That's like in the middle of Iowa. Todd is opening a Mexican breakfast restaurant on a on a raft in by the Red Sea or some of the rockies. It's called like Mexican fast. Oh todd wrapped in Iraq actually. That's that's where wrapped would be. There probably are many many rivers over there. She still without but even still the Old Lady River gang then. Kenya talks to her baby. Baby and then Clearly the babies even like. I don't WanNa talk to you anymore. I'm going to be able to Daddy. Daddy has terrible issues. She turns her head to the she turned. She gives Kenya at the back of her head. Like playing then. Well I'll tell you what I'm not going to turn my head away from you guys. MTV's the key is back to heat up the winter. The original gang is back but the dissolution of Siesta the keys. It's couple Alex's and Juliet's has left the friend circle divided. Finally those two broke up. I was getting sick about okay. I was getting sick of Alex. You deserve better Juliette now when I say you deserve better I don't know that I mean Robbie haze from the Bachelorette. I can't wait to watch him. Yeah he's GonNa be invading the scene and bring all sorts of conflict heartbreaking deception to the mix And I'm very excited. It's it's it's this is the heir to the hills. So how could we not be thrilled. Oh Yeah it's coming back Tuesday a January seventh at eight seven central and you can catch all of the episodes of two. Now you can just catch up on it on. MTV DOT COM or on the and don't forget. Forget to check out the key on instagram and twitter. To Tonya. Tonya saying the most Tanya thing ever she goes title gala for a week. Now we could try these costumes on and she is with Porsche. So there of course screaming and squealing about everything you know by by the way that Tanya was excited every time she had a rula wonder. What's for lunch day? Legal or you Golo itself every time Tom Gala. That's what I call Tom Rubella That would make too much sense somewhat. Say Hey do you call all it time ton rubella no.

"Trip to Canada Tanya. This group is called Tonia. Toronto boast. Are you being served right down with the Truth Teller Accession Toronto So means like Yeah I guess me not. Being there was kind of weird you know I would have loved to be there. But it's just out of my control. His not out of your control. You're a horrible human being okay. Horrible human being you were horrible. Human being to her. And you can't just walk back on here and act like you have no idea what happened. It was on TV exactly exactly. And I just love the way. They're all just you know they're totally ignoring any and as Tanya missing how. She's so sorry that she missed it Porsche like you aren't there that's true. It was so sweet. So sweet sow lovely just like really you know like showing both like that. It was so great like implying. Like oh sorry missed it knee and then also Like showing that they were so sad that Tanya wasn't there but not saying that they were said that wasn't there it was great. Yes and then you're gonNA comes in now. I don't know what you're doing She's going through a whole housewives trajectory just in five minute like she just changes every episode. You know she went from being completely crazy drunk driving to start a fi- to Massey's like a blunt and she's talking a little baby voice. Now yes you. Heidi Montag get so strange. It's like it's a Heidi Montag wing like like manufactured by I I don't know what's happening with that thing. Yeah that is that. It's the cutest week but her whole personality has changed right now. She's like ultra. This personality. Agnes wet still not really working. Sorry but you know I do I do. I will give her credit for even trying with this Casca because this is a hard cast to break into there's a personalities well I mean basically you avant had sort of like an extended cameo moment last as last season I mean she had a one. She was in one episode and I think that they probably like brought her back for another scene because she was so popular. Because everyone loves like. I'm that bitch that bitch from Clark and and so everyone you know I think. She made such a splash at the futures. Like over into a scene late in the late in the season Sonata like okay. Everyone likes the Alana Ana. We are putting her onscreen. So she's like ooh. This is my moment. I'm like recycling cans and I'm saving up for a nice new WIG and I'm GonNa make a splash again like going to earn a spot you know. And so she's trying artists yes. She's even kind of quoting herself already. Because she's that Bitch Clark and she got a jacket. bedazzled sold bitch. Button doesn't know it's that bitch like quote yourself correctly. You know as much as that Mitch. Yeah it's also like not fun John When you take ownership of the mockery like that like I guess is probably healthy for you. But it's like when Colorado start saying goodbye kyle and then started claiming that she's the one who made data viral because she and resnick drove by Sir and like yelled at a bus boy or something like that like no. You're not make viral. It was podcasters. Like two of US and others in our in our in our podcast circle. Who Made Enviro? It was not you cow and he made it viral and set it. I just I felt like she was trying to rob it from us. Honestly not like that Kyle owned by God in a world where Kyle with actually care. Oh come here and let us out and then and then when people got mad at Kyle for trying to like take ownership of it and she actually had the balls to then do the SOB story about like. Oh she's been teased and this and that and she was just trying to take ownership of it because it's been really hard for her and like you know she was just trying to turn a negative into a positive. Ah Shut up Kyle. He has shut up. Kyle Goodbye Kyle was bullied by goodbye. Kyle I mean I also have to make a make an announcement just where like all on the same page here. I have a really annoying. You ever get like a canker sore on your tongue like those little those little canker sores. I have a tiny little on the very very very tip of my tongue and like every time I talk it like my tongue gets Mitee ZAP ZAP ZAPS APPS APP. So it's like making me talk in weird ways so it sounds like at any point. I have a second candy my mouth whatever. It's just me trying to have canker sore pain prevention experiences and so I apologize if it sounds weird it over here on this end. We'll have to give credit. It does not slow you down when in super. How thank you for that Rodney? I appreciate that sentiment. I I sound like that every day because my targets for my math seth you know yeah well might. The tip of my tongue is like a little swollen too so just going through a lot over here. Okay and now. We're talking about Colin Richards. And I'm just triggered it gave you it gave you a little Pulsar on your tongue and Michael was wearing a little red fedora. To make it worse well to make your cold sore worse. Let's just put it in Nevada it's a congresswoman story please. Left please not disseminate that. Sort of Information Asian Sarfaraz Kinkel Sore. It's your Kyle. Richards Kinkel Sore. It's cholera as a canker sore. Not a Kangol store it just like the word Kinkel is dammit. We're going to be here twenty hours today. The point is they get on the Fan Twenty Times in this episode. That's all they do to like. There was one point where they literally got out of the van for two minutes. Like okay ladies. Let's go back in the van and they went back on the fucking van. There were more scenes shot inside that van that an entire season of the amazing race. So they go to a parade for the King and Queen flutes. Yeah I love this. By the the way it's every time we see all this mania around The carnival I just think back to when we did the season preview and I stupidly got onto this strange range soapbox for Mike Carnival Toronto. That's Brazil's thing and I like a- like went above and beyond declaring why. This is the most hilarious thing ever that that Toronto would claim and meanwhile it's like huge and I'm an idiot so every time I see just like laugh at just my own. It really is so huge. I well maybe Tani is just saying it's huge because excited about everything but then no. It's really wow I I thought I think that's why I thought it was. Of course Tanya says Oh. Toronto has a huge carnival. Whatever Tanya Toronto but it's no no it's it's like huge yeah and people? People in Canada are so nice. No one even complained. No one did maybe we got a mild correction. Now it gets okay. You know he'll figure it out one day I didn't even know I didn't even know what it was or the difference. I spend the Rio Hotel in Vegas. My parents used to love to go there and they would do a a carnival parade every single by the time you know like every hour on the hour thing to me is again as aw I just think Kathy Lee Gifford on Carnival cruise lines days ago. That's the carnival. I'm talking about So Mimi is is trying with us. She's wny's trying this thing where she's like. I'm just going to pretend I never did anything. Wrong everybody's being mean to be. I'm GONNA be hilarious. And she's like love the carnival shaking my bomb bomb for years. Oh not just. Every time she came on I just showed up so they get back in the van they head back to the hotel and then some of the women go to sleep but then a bunch Reconvene in a newsroom it's basically marlow and candy candy the only full time. I'm cast member talking to them. You need at this point and you're gonNA and now how come you else old E. which is funny. Because it's on my my squeak but you're right. I'm not I'm not going to. I will not get on soapbox about this about quite loud now. Mouse aren't allowed. They're very quiet. That's how you don't know you have them until else. Chew late in their overrunning everything giving children you know the bubonic plague rats louder. You're rats are definitely louder than mice. There's bigger guess. What horses are louder than rats? So Nina's like what I didn't didn't even though you guys were talking about it this you know I was so lost I mean I guess it was something about a proposal She's exhausting okay. We're five minutes listen to the actual episode and I'm exhausted from her so candies like well. Why would can you try and ruin this surprise for Cynthia And she's like. Yeah you know ah than. They moved over to the fight of Kenya. Marlow Kenya bring in the marching band. Tomorrow's edged party. Yeah no no it was the whig party can bring the edge. She was yeah. Can you was bringing the edge of marching bad into the WHIG party. Yes yes. They're talking about that. which then do you ever have to stop sometimes just triumphed? You're saying like why are we even talking about like an like about thirty seconds ago. We're talking about the comparative loudness of mice and then fifteen seconds before that carnival all so You know the thing is so they're just talking about that and this then leads to sneaky and who is doing the recording because candy feels like. She's stuck in the middle because Nina told candy that there was a recording. The candy told Cynthia and now this whole thing is happening. It's a scandal that truly no one cares about like I have passing interest in it like at this point. I just WanNa know but like you can tell them. No one really cares because no. No one's like screaming fighting about it care. 'cause I WANNA record conversations SL- how do you do that because it's very difficult. I've tried different ways because of how we record this podcast Koran skype right so obviously we know that way but I was like habit. How do you do it from your iphone? What's what's away but you have to sign up for all these different things and then people get notified if you're recording so anyway point is whoever did it has some very sophisticated voice memo? I think it was just like I assume it. Just Giovanna on a voice memo the voice memo APP and just because it was in person I only was over the phone. Oh well never mind. I strike that from the record. Okay so candy. Basically asked any if she record like like who recorded the conversation and he needs like flaming hot cheetos and just like opens opens her mouth. You know how many he does that thing. Just in general was she like like squid. She doesn't twitter is like closes. Her eyes and does like an exaggerated open mouth thing and her lips flat now too so. She's doing that but she had like flaming hot cheetos like the sort of like grotesque image likeness read like Semi Chew Saliva. We like Cheeto. Yeah Yeah meany opens her mouth. And you see the depth of pal basically so then Nino I have have forgotten that this was such a pet peeve of mine because I think I actually mentioned this last season as something I really disliked about any actually something I despise and she does. Does it again right now. which is that? There's a knock on the door. And he tells Yovani or as she calls her Khanna she's like Takata. Go get that as I mean Yana. Whatever your name is which is hilarious? She goes she she tells US business like someone get the door and he does that all the time anytime. There's a knock meaning will not get the door she sits. She's you're just as far from the door as you'll von Ahn is your room. Open your own damn door. She makes everyone always get the door all the time. She's always Boston around. People do shit like that. Yeah she was calling her savannah because one of the girls last week couldn't remember her name so of course it's ooh Tania's very excited the She's just very excited to be there before she gets in any trouble..

"We have looked being with you for all these years and you can stay here to nine hundred years old. That's it I know because we're coming coming up on our our nine year anniversary later this month. Crazy that crazy right we start to two thousand eleven thousand twelve. I always forget who cares. The point is I'm hotter hotter than I was then. Okay so let's get on with. It is our first show back. We've actually taken off a a full week. Which is we've I don't I don't know that we've ever taken that much time in a row? We're taking a full week off before. Usually like it made sense like there was nothing else on Bravo was like oh great. Let's just actually put like a huge amount of continental while they go on vacation as if they consider us you know so so that was what was hard it was. It was the first time that we've taken a week off. When there's been like big new episodes airing yes and we both were off? Yeah Yeah what a week. There is a lot happening on Bravo. So we're going to do our best to catch up as we go along. Real housewives of Atlanta was not one of those real housewives of Atlanta into really keeps promising us at the end of every episode. That we're going to get to this hotel room fight. Yeah they do yet. Two weeks ago two weeks ago they actually actually like had a promo where they said next week and they showed the fight and now it's been two weeks and we have still not seen the fight and they just keep showing it at the end end of every episode. What scares me what they have? But it's also funny because Kenya is so offended. They even said she doesn't want to take her kids around and she doesn't know Kenya's energy yet so she doesn't want to bring her kids around and then Kenya. Someone is almost push into pregnant eva while she's sitting on the couch so there you go now you know it was like psychic fear shoes actually right to be afraid. Yeah but you know. Atlanta has been entertaining. I've enjoyed it way more than last season. Even if it's like it hasn't been and like you know pop off but it's been definitely entertaining for sure so it feels like it's back on track and I'm not GonNa say it's because of Kenya but I will say because Kenya. It's not because of Kenya. Yeah every shows need. They're monsters. Okay well they need the proper monsters right like any is a monster because this has been my ongoing theory for like two years. Knee is like not the monster that we need because she is like a monster in real life she actually thinks she's too big for the show you can tell. Kenya is a monster within the confines of Atlanta. She's like Akon she's a monster. Like this is my job to be a monster so I will be a monster on camera and I'll be a monster to everything Nina's actually just like a monster and like you can really feel the difference. And she's like not as entertaining as used to be although she did say something this week. I don't remember what it was but we'll probably come upon it as as we go through our notes. That didn't make me laugh so I mean he still has some. There's some potential for her but she's I mean she's basically 'cause I mean. She was nominated for the worst under crappiest so yeah menial is the worst she's been. I don't think there's any coming back for me with meany. It's just too much you know. Some had had a have a bad season and then they come back. Oh I guess they were just in a bad mood. Lasserre Grammar again poster child for that well Camille grammer to shut her mouth member the first season she was the worst and then then she's like I just won't say anything this year experts. Maybe yeah the worst and it work totally worked and then she came back finding all these years later and was like guess what. I'm going to say a lot of things again. Opinions matter and Naga Sweat Stupid. We I hate you but at the same time though Beverly Hills like so many people hack has just gotten so awful and annoying cloying that Camille just being a monster who was it like worked. It was like she's an anti hero. She just the monster that that show just really needs right now again she you know. She was way before the new in Europe as we go into this New Year. It's really important to remember who the real monsters are as Camille educated us. You know the people who are hurting poor Brad Kavanagh caveats. Ah those those are the monsters so here we go. Of course any is sewn up to this trip. They're all on this a trip to Canada..

"NBA writer for Bleacher report my guest today. Danny green of the Toronto. Raptors formerly, of course of the San Antonio Spurs. Danny kind enough to spend a little time on a Saturday afternoon. You'll be listening to this probably on Monday. But the raptors were here Friday night in Brooklyn took a tough loss to the nets in overtime, and Danny sticking around for a couple of extra days or skews me one extra day here because he's putting on the inaugural battle in the apple two high school tournaments here in New York and very cool event. Danny stuck around to help get that off the ground putting it on with some of his partners and kind of then to spend a little time with us here in studio at Bleacher report, we covered all of the the usual basis. Of course, the trade how he processed that back in July has his own podcast inside the green room where he was able to. Talk about that almost immediately. An interesting moment for Danny green. Because of course, his career started out with a very challenging path being cut a few times have spending time in the D league and overseas, and then to to finally settle them with San Antonio and seven years later to be traded from the team where he finally made it and want to championship obviously, very difficult, but the transition to Toronto for him and Kawhi Leonard has been almost seamless the raptors have been phenomenal early in the season. Those guys both playing great Kyle Lowry breakout season from PASCAL Ceac him and rookie coach Nick nurse off to a fantastic start to his career there. So great insights from Danny green about all of that and about Nick nurse and how he's doing so far we talk a lot about pop and the things that, you know, about pop from from a player perspective that I think a lot of us on the outside. Don't get a full view of in can't really appreciate. And and we talked a little bit about co about Danny being the kind of the the go-to Kawai whisperer not that it's a role that he wanted. But when you get traded with the guy, and you're spent that much time, and obviously not the easiest guy to read you kind of fall into that role. So we cover all that much more. "The admitted go with the toronto raptors or the favorites to get quite leonard right now you're looking at the current odds there even money right now and people are starting to put some stuff together and here's a little brick in the wall damara rosen's instagram account has been a raced maybe he hit the wrong button i'll know what do i assuming it somewhere if he did it i've tried to race before tomorrow it's gone stan guys look and this is from zach lowe and he was saying this is just talking about straight of trade possibility the most logical all in play on the board is toronto offering derozen one of pascall siaka dhillon right jacob puddle an og and anobi and a future first round pick and so on so derozen would be the key piece going the other way that's what i was saying that the can't bring leonard in to put with the rosen and houma kyle lowry because would you i get in return i mean you talk about these guys whether it's total or on a new bayer siachen or any of these not or even a third of a fit you gotta get the more rosen in this his twitter account excuse me instagram is been wiped out wiped of everything a wife of toronto thing everything everything what that might be a button i rather here it was wiped of toronto things but if you took off your your little sisters recital some have and look full disclosure salads boy jason estrada dhamar trainer there in africa going to africa lit i was on that knob creek hard is weekend and they were telling me about they're going to africa maybe now so i'm texans try and find out some intel because i'll tell you the truth because it's all gone everything's everything's gone that tells me that maybe it's not what i think okay at least what vegas is trying to imply that look right that's the part that's weird it's it's all of it together the odds the fact that his name is throat in as the the leading piece of deal right there and then you know because it's your were almost always going to be wrong when you try to deconstruct the meaning behind somebody's social media stuff because it can mean a million different things but the timing of it is curious if nothing else yes we're didn't boogie do the same thing then boogie cousins wipe his and his wasn't exactly that they didn't give them offer he just didn't like what they were offering so the mars in a different position because if they're talking trade there talking trade but i didn't follow damara rosen on instagram but i'm sure there's some family friends maybe to clean sweep you just do away the baby with the water like yeah everything it's interesting is interesting you're right getting look i there's a time i follow too many people and then there's like either delete all or go to individually it gets to a point where you just like get it all out so i i understand that point but doesn't that's the new way of communication i guess that's weird you have to detri to be like a social media archaeologist deconstruct would own this stuff means pick pick up the phone and ask demar what's going on travis coming just like we just had an who's a super was he senior sneaker hey yes senior sneaker head and who would've talk by the way yeah right yeah who would have thought that there's a job his job he just left china y'all for a week and a half klay thompson he lives in portland next to the dita's of nike this job is to follow the stuff we think it's super cool yeah there's going to be a social media translator yeah a now analysts and yeah temperate or it has to be because that's athletes are communicating with the world in different ways kind of bring it all together with kawai and the offer that he got from nike slash jordan was put off by and then you go with social media presence which is virtually zero and they go together it's it's not just all got there's intrinsic value in these things real money plays in these when you do something like that it's not meaningless it's not in this piece of reading from it's like oh this is something seventh grade girl does when her friends hurt her feelings no it's not the.

"toronto raptors" Discussed on GSMA Basketball Podcast

"There's more to this game because there is more the game turns out in life when you're when you're awesome at something when are the best in the world you also have other interests outside of that it happens like we have other enthusiasms because if people didn't have other enthusiasms than they would just do whatever they did forever by ford memory boxing right now he'd be boxing payperview every year but we have we end up growing in enjoying other things so it's parliament is fine to step away i just feel like from the give this interview and then from them for them to get destroyed by the toronto raptors last night i believe that this interview that he just did is going to be it skipped the level of scrutiny that the level of scrutiny and the amount of colmes they're going to run through this like imagine this this interview is just a whole bunch of hair is just a lot of hair and mike a swimming pool it just it just pool full us a porch full hair and people everywhere have to comb three thousand people come up with the com and they it's a olympicsize swimming full a hair everyone gets a colmec's komen through it combing through it and that's what does it that's what's gonna happen with interview 'cause i feel like it was going to be okay and then they lost by they lost by 35 to the rock to the raptors ena this this is what gets me about it whenever whenever teams lose too much the word weber teams lose to other teams it's like oh my god i can't believe you guys lost like they lost to the timberwolves the other day people were flipping out the tomatoes are or good team the raptors are good team i don't understand why else would expect a good team to.
