"So Tony Rome. Oh, I don't Danny it would You say it's fair to say that you are not a huge fan. China and where would you? How would you rank your appreciation for Tony Roma? The analyst. I like Tony Rome. I was higher on him. I think last year than this year, I thought you had slid a little. Uh, yeah, I was really high on him when like the Jim Nance Tony Romo's combo first got paired together. I think I've soured on him just to touch because I think he's a little bit too over the top. At times. He inserts himself into the game a little bit more than he needs to. But overall, I think he's the second best analyst. I'll always go. Troy Aikman one. Tony Romo two. I'm not a huge Collinsworth guy. But I thought he did a great job yesterday. Yeah, the thing that bothered me. About the two of them and they're great. Don't get me wrong. I'm not wizard all over. The two will get to the Wiz in the second, the two of them. Is when Tom Brady is screaming, said play. Hey. Tony, you played quarterback at the highest level. You were a pro bowler. Let's talk about that. Instead, they were talking about James Harrison at that moment like that mattered. And then when they met At the middle of the field after the game, Mahomes I heard later said to him. Tom, your legendary You are just legendary. Talk about that. Let's let us hear that, but they were talking a lot. Was unaware of the Tony Rome. Oh, pants thing until I'm scrolling through Twitter. I did not tweet there in the game, but late late in the game. I took a look and I saw a picture. I think our boss had put it out. And then other people started picking up on it as well. When did you guys see? Tony Roma looks like at his pants. The whole thing with that is, I don't know if he went his pants or if he you know, you have a nice he drink and the droplet falls at your lap That's happened That's happened to me. I know that's not gonna be so I don't know if if he wet himself or there, but I just know that that spot was at a very Uh, I guess unusual spot on his pants. Especially when you got a wide shot. I just felt like because he was wearing a over the pants. Light blue. They look gray. Great. Like I felt like he was in the bathroom. They a. We're on in 30 seconds and he just zipped his pants up went Oh, God. Just dripped on my pants like Exactly. Yes, that was clear when you looked at the tweet I didn't notice it live, but I saw the boss tweet about it. And then I was, like, all right, I gotta check this out. Next thing you know, everyone on Twitter is tweeting about it right? And like Tony Rome. Oh, I don't know him. Really. I've met him a couple times, but I don't know him. But he doesn't strike me as a guy That's really making sure that all his eyes are dotted in his teaser crossed. I I took it as he was at the urinal. He did his business and he just was done. You know, he was in a hurry to get on with it. I'm not buying hoodies. He's coincidently spilled a drink in that exact spot. That was crazy. I was probably rock dropping P on his pants in front of 200 million people. Yes, I completely agree. Like if you spill the drink. Like it would be like a big spot like this was just like Cinema. I didn't shake it. Right? Guess I don't know. I don't know. I just think that's just I die. You know, First of all, I'm not when I'm watching the broadcast. I'm not looking in the crotch area. That's just me. If you feel comfortable with that, that's good. That's just not for me. I wasn't either. So I saw the tweets. I mean, I was not looking, but I mean for those that were looking for such things. I mean, that's great. Um, I'm just kind of look at the CBS Psycho which I want one day. By the way, when I own a CBS I coat And then just watching the broadcast. So when I see that, I think you okay, you know Tony is very excited about the Super Bowl, you know, is very excitable. So if he felt like he was rushed and didn't want to finish what he was doing, It's under it kind of fits. Tony doesn't it in a lot of ways it does. I mean, I guess there wasn't a razor available to have the clean shaved for the Super Bowl. That's Tony. Okay, so that's kind of who he is. Danny, That's you spilling all his own. That's Danny. If Danny was doing that game. It even when Danny shaves he looks like he hasn't shaped like that's how Rome Oh, is. I feel like But like sometimes I'll say to Danny, I know I did last week while you shaved, but he still don't you feel like you have a thick growth Daddy? I do. I only shave once a week. So like you I shave on Sunday and that's it till the next Sunday. So what some people I feel feel that they look better with some facial hair. I don't like the way I look when I'm completely clean shaven. I like a little stubble. I don't hold that against Tony Rome. Oh, I just wish you would clean up the neck part. If you want to have scruff and stubble you've got at least make it look roomed. Yeah. And who'd he has the George McCaskey mustache going so Sorry you died or if he did indeed, it pee his pants. Does this change your opinion of him in any way?.

"Everybody talked about his arm. You know, we studied that tape. Pretty good. In which way Just any downfalls in his arms. They just quit thrown it outside now whether they didn't believe his arm was good. I don't know, but you know, when we got him, he can make every throw and it's just Getting all that verb. It's and the way he learns the way we teach from day one. We were start training him first time we're in a meeting, so we missed 600 snaps of off season and preseason game, so we Was until the middle of act late October November while we risk ever got on the same page You know, And that's ah, interesting point by areas because you you saw that evolve over the season. I remember. In fact, it was the chief's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tony Roma was on the call, and he kept saying In that game, how they need to meld what Arians does with what Brady does. And then he sort of even said that he saw it happening in the midst of that game, and then he I think he So that was gonna be a Super Bowl preview. Well, while he saw that evolving because Bruce Arians likes those deep drops the deep passes down the field, and you know Brady likes that, um Quick, check down quick throw quick slant move the chains that the previous caller was just referencing and you know, in New England was always like a It was like a machine, right? And if it was on the right track, if if it was headed on course, then it was hard to stop. If you got it knocked off track a little bit, um, they could get frustrated. But now you've got the melding of those two things where Brady is feeling comfortable with his wide receivers feeling comfortable with the short game, and they're still taking those deep shots. Down the field. Now Brady himself. He's had a lot of success he talked about. You know the success that he's had to think about that quite a bit actually, and being grateful for all the blessings in my life, and I've got you know more than anyone could imagine. So in the end, I just try to do the best I could do you know, with every situation and you understand there's a lot of people that have supported me over the time to get to this point. On the other side. You know you've got Andy Reid and you've got Patrick the homes and Andy Reid. It's funny because he was a guy. His reputation was bad clock management. Maybe not the best playoff coach but a great regular season coach. Then all of sudden, he wins the Super Bowl. His genius now, right, and he needs the same coach. He's always been. I think you have seen him a little bit more emboldened, You know he's going for it on fourth down more often, he just aggressive. Some of the stuff that they call is inventive. But he's on the cusp of of winning two straight Super Bowls, and he was asked about, you know if he thinks about the history involved there. It's a neat deal. When you're in the middle of it. I don't think you appreciate it as much. Maybe when you when you're done with the whole thing, and you can appreciate it more, But we're just scrambling from one drill to another drilled meeting to another meeting and Before you know it Z the night time and then we go to bed. So that typical football coach speak preparing for I am toe You know, 9 P.m. 10 P. M. Whatever it is all day He's got a lotto Get ready with the right. That's the thing Andy Reid is is, uh, gifted with at the moment is some of the personnel, including his quarterback, Obviously, who talked about why You know their offense. Why he and their offense is such a nightmare for the opposing defense. I get the ball in my hand quickly, and these guys can make plays happen, Esso. I mean, it's something we're amazed defensive really have second guessed what they want to do in order to stay on top of guys like Tyreke in the coal and all these other receivers that we have, and it opens up the field for guys underneath. It's something that really is. A big part of our offense. You know, he pits it right on the head. As far as he can get the ball out quick, You can get the ball out down the field. He can also move and buy time to get the ball out. There's just so many different ways that my home is in and the Chiefs can beat you. But Bahamas has been AH, It's been interesting. I've been seeing him on Twitter talking little more spicy. As of later I saw him liking tweets that we're calling him the best of the game and stuff like that. So I think my homes and started to internalize the magnitude of this game a little bit and what it means for him. You know, and what it could mean for his career. I promise you, he's thinking about that. He's thinking about that now that could be positive or could be negative. I'm gonna lean positive because I think if this was his first Super Bowl, then that that the magnitude of it would would perhaps weigh on him, but because he's already gotten one, and that's in his back pocket. And now he's got the confidence and he knows what sitting there in front of them. I think we could see you know the definitive Patrick Holmes game in this game as well. I think that that possibility is on the table where you just go. What you gonna do? And throw your hands in the air. Because this guy does attack defense is in a way, I think, um, no other quarterback has kind of done in an all encompassing fashion. Deep down the field. Quick strike release. On the run across.

"Tony, that's right s O. They and Nance keep screwing it up because last it was I guess it wasn't in their city championship or or the F C championship, Or was it? I remember if it was divisional, but Tony Roma goes here we go. And then in that Nance. That's going here we go. No, that's not your part. Nobody said Yeah. You know, I think it was a divisional game. That was the divisional. And they they did it earlier in the year two, so somebody must have played it. And I love Rome because he was incredible and amazing. Amazing. Incredible Watching. This is like Doc Holliday getting ready to take out. On the tires set of bad guys is gonna be good. Yeah, one of my favorites in Rome. Oh, just gives up something that gives up something that's like that's like going from 0 to 16. Really fast car thinking because we've all been there even have it. He's I just love the reality behind them is just you know, Frank. Here's the difference between you and everybody else speak for myself here. Is that I've been thinking that commentators have been talking to me through the television for years. Everybody else has picked up on it, but they've been talking to you. They're actually talking to you. Yeah, it's a It's a It's a funny little thing. I wish I wish I get like footnote, because sometimes people will be on the Internet going. Why did they do that? Another feel like that's Kelly. I know doing that, you know, So it's like, Yeah. What do you want You working on anything new Project, sir. Voices or dances for Tic tac. What're you talking about? I don't want to hear about Tic tac. Yeah, thank you. That's the last thing I want to hear about What is going on with voice You got going on. I was out pitching a show a little bit. Listen people, but You know, like I should say not out. You know, it's kind of doing it Zoom meetings, which is three hours Uh, had a little bit and, uh, I don't know. I I really couldn't tell you what I do all day. I don't know. Uh, everybody wants to talk to me and do interviews and not everybody, like seven people know, but like this week, a lot of people want to talk to because it's a lot of Phil for Super Bowl stuff. I said yes to you. And like three others, and everybody else is like my phone's broken which it actually was broken for a while. So now just you have you done that? You broke it. Yeah, I threw it down, so I didn't know it. Actually, my contacts weren't sinking. On by finally got it fixed in the last week, but I've only told three or four people that they're that they're context of sick, Becks. I'm getting all these messages for people. Hey, Frank. What's up? It frequents up and I know it's people that want me to do radio and stuff like that. But I don't want to go back to them because I don't know who they are, because there's just numbers showing up and it's not so I'm mentally going through everything going. I don't do I want to talkto. You know, Paulie. And Boca Rotondo. I really no, I don't. You know, You know what the great thing about that is, Frank. Every once in a while, like, cause I'll get that occasionally. Not not certainly not as much as you, but, you know, people call I don't recognize the number and you think OK, got the words to put in the finals? Probably somebody wants to talk about the words or whatever. So you don't you don't you don't pick it up. You don't pick it up. You don't pick it up and then you know, just like once once you like. Do you feel lucky punk? All right, I'm gonna answer this. Hey, Tom, what's going on? It's so and so from Wkmg. Why? In Topeka? We're just wondering, you know, maybe you could Okay. What time? What time? Could I I mean, I don't like saying no, not coming outside. I end up doing it. But I'm like God thing, and I tried one time. Just Yeah, die. So what you have to look at the area code first to know where it's coming from, and then throw it down. Uh, But I had people you know, I want to text back to people Wasps, my my my contacts. My broke my phone. My contacts aren't sinking up properly. Who is this and unless I say, but they won't come back as they think Maybe somebody else got the phone or they have the wrong number so that I have to put my name and I don't like to put my name out there because If I don't know who it is, You know, It's a weird thing, so I just stayed on a missing slowly, you know, moving into complete and the anonymity and I have no problem with it. I used to. He used to be like somebody used to go say to me like you're not relevant. Kelly. You know you're not relevant in like Thank you. I don't care. I'm going. I'll go to relax and just go away. Let me do my thing talking about me leaving me alone. It's a pit of hate. 12. Hold on. Let me let me turn off my waterfall that these precious flex e gotta ask you. I know a spur of the moment. But what is Is Trump finally accepting losing. I got to think he is as well. A lot of people are saying that they think I have. But have you seen the Friday the 13th movies? I'm getting a hockey mask. I'm gonna get my second time. She is what I'm really going to do. I'm going to build a cave underneath Mar a Lago and I'm going to become a vigilante. It's going to be incredible. I'm going to be bad Trump. It's going to be. I'm going to have a British butler. Name Michael Caine. And it's going to be very, very good. Alfred came. Sorry, Alfred King, maybe cocaine, but a wait a second. That was you read into that way too much? No. I've seen things if I bring her things for my little friend. Awesome. The best best a man we always appreciate coming out. It's always fun catching up with you and talk a little bit laughing a lot and I'm glad to do it. Well, then, if he ever got anything, uh You want to pump? You know what we're here for? You always Yeah. Well, thank you very much. Appreciate it, guys. And I'm gonna go finish my my water colors. Kelly Endo on Twitter. If you want to get blocked, just go ahead. There's so much I might My tag line used to be a block like a lineman. You know, something weird came to me. I was like, got to be cool. I don't know why I thought it was because one of the stupidest things ever and doing my walk more. You're here is down because you're a way better than mine. But I always thought when you block people, he should block him like he should dig. You talk like Walton. When you're blocking him and say something just ridiculous like Walton would say. Like, Oh, I blocked the in the name of Gondor. Uh, in the name of Gondor. Greatest that enjoy yourself. Enjoy oblivion..

"In the Matrix. It had to happen to someone and it happened. It's on Brady. Even a Patrick Mahomes goes on and has a better career. If Patrick Mahomes passes Brady for all time touchdowns if he passes Brady for all time yards, and this is gonna be a long F Or maybe not. Because the way the football is thrown right now, maybe by the time Tom Brady decides to call it quits. You know, I expect only a few seasons from now where we have a quarterback and Dak Prescott was on the way to it. Over 6000 yards. I wouldn't be surprised of 10 years from now. You know, quarterbacks were giving you you know, 7000 passing yards a season we have moved into the electric video game era. Football. So who knows how long anything would take Patrick Mahomes, of course, if he was healthy But Tony Rome Oh, Of CBS Sports. Of course, he took it a step further. And he is He's very accurate and what I'm about to tell you and what you're about to hear. He said. Okay? Yeah, it's reasonable. Patrick. My homes, go ahead and try for six Super Bowls. I don't think anybody is just like you. He's going to get six. What if Tom Brady were toe win seven, about a week from now. You can just throw that idea. Just throw it away. Ain't nobody getting seven. That's just out of the realm of possibility right now. Let's know what Tony Roma had to tell CBS Sports. This is the biggest game. I shoot my homes will ever plan for the rest of his career. It's the only way to catch Tom Brady. He has to win this game. If he loses this game. Cannot catch Tom Brady in my opinion. Okay, Well, it's Tony Roma way to sound real dramatic. I mean, goodness gracious. He makes me want to spontaneously combust in my chair Right now in the studio. I mean, goodness gracious. Matter of fact, Let's hear Tony Roma one more time. Don't explode. This is the biggest game. I took my homes will ever plan for the rest of his career. It's the only way to catch Tom Brady. He has to win this game. If he loses this game. Cannot catch Tom Brady in my opinion. Oh, my goodness. Okay, fine. Sure. Damn it. I would tell you right now. I don't think the odds would be in his favor that he goes out there and ends up with Six Super Bowls. I would agree with Tony Rome. Oh, if this man Tom Brady ends up with seven Super Bowls you had to Patrick my homes like just He's gonna try to go out there went anyway. I don't come on. I don't think that's an issue unless he gets close. Yeah, it is extreme forward thinking to say that this will be the biggest game. Of his career. That might be true. It might. We're not sure it might just because of the magnitude of who he's playing against, and that very well might be correct. But we don't know that I mean damn it. We might get a rematch next year. So I'm not so quick to Cece to subscribe to the thought that This is going to be the biggest game of Patrick. More homes career. What happens? What happens of Patrick Mahomes loses this game. Tom Brady ends up with seven Then we're in the same position next year with a rematch. Would that not now be Patrick, my home's biggest game of his career. But one thing I will agree on. Legacy. Let's let's let's get the rings part of it out of here. We have no idea how many rings my homes will Won't have As we had callers who wanted to point out last night. Damn it! He may never get back. To the Super Bowl. Would bet against that. I definitely think as much as I could definitely say anything. Would bet to say, Yeah, he's going to get back to a Super Bowl outside of this year. I think you will. Do I think he's gonna end up with six Super Bowls? Probably say no. But that doesn't mean That if he doesn't win six That he can't have. The same equal or better legacy. Then whatever the hell time Brady leaves us with What happens? If Patrick my home's wins, let's say Three more Super Bowls. And the number one's again. What happens if he goes on a stretch? Let's look at it this way. What happens if Patrick Mahomes ones four? Or five straight Super Bowls, and that's it. Can we not look at his own accomplishments? And say. I am. You're gonna have to consider this guy one of the greatest ever what happens when Patrick Mahomes is 40 years old? He's been through a few Super Bowls. At some point, he won four straight. He is now basically pushing up on the all time leading passer and touchdown souls. These records are made to be broken. We know as the errors have gone on the ball has just flown in the air. So what happens then? We have people who have looked at Michael Jordan for the past 20 years, and I've, said Michael Jordan. Is the greatest of all time. We have moved into a different generation where people can look at LeBron James and you could say. Man. He is certainly still adding to his legacy. Is he the best basketball player of all time? And I don't believe it is a farce of a question, especially the fact that he's still playing. People will say I a switch teams. Oh, yeah, Well, look how many times he went in. He lost it all. Yeah. You might have to look at his full body of work. If he keeps going, he might be the the all time leading scorer. He might tie Jordan when it boils down to full championships. He will certainly have him beat and longevity, which is amazing at a high level. Who's to say that the conversation that's been had or we're currently having in pockets about Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Isn't a conversation had.

"Aikman. Now, just with the Dallas Cowboy, unnecessary shape. He's got grace to Troy Aikman is definitely in the top two quarterbacks in Cowboys history. That's we're gonna have grace chasing Tony Roma's a guy, man. You know Tony Roma's the guy, All right, You guys get all the all the headman. Everybody just loves them rings. Okay, This is love. The Detroit Eggman has three rings. Tony Roma has not Tony Romo's a better football player than Troy Aikman. Aloni alimony. Manny has two Super Bowl rings, so he's going to go to the Hall of Fame. That's garbage. Okay, dumb Tom Brady's going. What is it? Is it 76? He's got six Super Bowl bullrings. Then Peyton Manning's Got to Peyton Manning is a better player, Aaron Rodgers has one is a better player. We can also say six and Gallagher's better than either, but even though he didn't win the conference championship I wanna see that logic care anything about Sam? I rather think about saying today. Finger bowls happening this weekend senior both. Hey, he was not in the top 11 quarterbacks listed on somebody. Somebody's draft board. Hey, hey said. They say that he needs a good showing. In the Senior bowl. To possibly make it to it would be 1/4 round pick like that's his ceiling is fourth round pick, which that's why I was like maybe comes back for another year, because I mean Yeah. I mean, would they don't know if another team and I love you, Sam. And he's obviously look all the intangibles about the guy. People are gonna love his. You know, spirit, his leadership and stuff like that. I think the tangibles where they're going to get you. I did see an interesting There was this one scout talking about his willingness to sort of take on a hybrid roll while the team was grooming him, and they brought up the name Taysom Hill. Did you see Sam Mellinger and like an H back sort of. Hey, you taste about twice his size and faster as well. But you know, like he's a He's a threat on the field because he can throw the ball. But maybe what he leaked out for a pass. What's that he's blocking. Big. Yeah, that was just a tumultuous final season for him here at the 40 Acres in hindsight, Yeah, kind of pains me. He was hurt throughout the year. Feel like we've failed him coaching him up. Comeback plan to start man still does they're still to be only you know, you wouldn't have him back while you say that you don't quickly. Chick is that man? All right, Fun show. Weird show. The weird ones are good, though. Do we have nine shows left? Or was this the night show? This was the 9th 18 more sports talks. Tell the Super Bowl. I could do it probably prop bets. $50 to Kobe's gift cards and more tomorrow I might be off. Yeah,.

"See what we're up to see them on twitch at ESPN. 1000 Chicago. You know what I'm saying? Right with Mitch. Like I don't think the Bears have to announce anything. I mean, they don't have to. But it was like what the cops announced the Cubs in announce anything with John last time. Can I add this real quick before we said, whatever the baseball is, I just want to say because I think I don't know if this is older, New news. Like Schefty was just reporting that Patrick Mahomes has cleared quote big steps in the concussion protocol, and he's expected to practice on Wednesday. Wow, you know, and and and the thing with my homes with that. Is they never said if he did suffer a concussion, and I would get a lot of reading about the concussion protocol. What idiot drinks didn't drinks at halftime and he was just a little bit tipsy. Look, I'm not speaking defending or I'm just telling you the way the rules are. The rules are so back in the day, remember, some of these guys would be would stumble on the field and they be allowed back in the game. You don't have to tell may so. There you go. I'm talking about like, four years ago three years ago. But yes, you are. You are have any collaboration. How many fingers am I holding up? Concussion King. I see too. It's really for coach, but that's good getting it. You're the concussion King of Chicago. You're like the Abe Frohman on the concussion front that so far, um Said that in case you didn't know the concussion protocol is when you when you are seen wildly. You're visibly wobbly like he was right stood up. You are automatically entered in the concussion protocol, right? You're automatically. So he then now now Jim men set on on the broadcast. If that's not a concussion. I don't know what it Dr Nance. Yeah, and by the way, awful game for Tony Rome. Oh, and I think Chris Black. His Chris Black is going to be looked at as a broadcast critic hero after after a lot of people have seen the light this weekend about the over love. It's that that you hate Tony Roma, right? It's you hate the over love. Of one Tony Roma. Correct black wrong. You hate Tony Roma I He's not good at broadcasting these games. I will say this. Did you see it all? Did you see the cable that the job bucket and Troy Aikman did. Troy pregnant, spent the first half of the game. Really? And I was no, I was. I guess it was just paying more closely paying attention more closely. Whatever I'm trying to say, uh, but like he, really, I thought did a nice job explaining what Drew Brees was seen And what Tom Brady was seeing much more than what we got The earlier game? Yeah. Hickman's fun. I have no problems. It's wrong room was not good. Who do you believe in is if you you need to defend your man. Come on, Defend him. Defend Romo's mind. Then he down my man. Yeah. Don't don't go throwing shade my way. And then finally this weekend. You're like, Oh, yeah, By the way, has never thrown shades. Don't Never thrown shaded you. I've said I don't have it in the way you hating. Yeah. Hate hate is strong. I just like the wailing on an NFL broadcast. I turned this annoying. I actually wanna play here sound here. I tune a lot of it out while while we're on the topic you he was wrong. Since you brought up my homes, they won't get to the John Laster stuff. But it's so that's pretty like as a fan. I want my homes playing this weekend. I want Allen Mahomes Rogers Brady. That's a great Sunday. Yes. You know what I'm saying? I also want them to be on the lookout for what's best for their star players, not just in one game, but for the betterment of their health. Only forward and that's what we had all hoped for. Including you. I think the concussion protocol, the system in place worked because he didn't come back in. Nor did did Lamar Jackson so on that front, at the very least, the concussion protocol that was put into place years ago. To me. It protected the players. It's succeeded in the process that it was implemented to serve. S so Here's Roma from CBS. I gave blacks and props because Whether you like Rome. Oh, you're indifferent on Roma. I think he could be cute at times. I don't over love Roma shoots in an NFL game You want you? I don't need an analyst on hold. My hand is an NFL fans is what? You know what this is beyond this is the Poland of dying. Hold on. Did you guys always have to tag team when one of us is debating? Listen, I I'm good with an analyst being one way or another. We'll pisses me off is when you have a play by play guy who's incompetent. Because that's the guy who's got the floor of the most. There's no cute though. This isn't like I said, This is the poop on the floor again. Sometimes it's cute when it's not your kid all he pooped on the floor. That's cute, but to everybody else, No, This is not cute. There's nothing cute about Tony Roma. He's not good. He got the gig because of his name, and he's high price because of his name. He doesn't do anything on that broadcast. Well, except for what he used to do Early on, was predicting things and everyone marveled at his prediction. And then But then what? Okay, Cool. He can predict the play. But then he's just interrupting Jim Nancy, and that's why it was cute of dollar was like he brought a style that we had not heard from an analyst on professional broadcaster. Yes, I kind of I I employ that. That's my style. You're published its unconventional. I don't know. Unprofessional, unconventional. It was of a fresh style that look, his CBS bosses didn't pay him $18 million right away. They heard you're one of them or whatever. It was in there like we got to sign this guy to $18 million. ESPN is going to steal him for Monday night Football. Um So I'm reading in the twitch shot. Where you taking shots at doll and I on Bragg's his show last week. Course he was. We were there to defend ourselves. No, I didn't think I didn't take shot it straight to his lying to me. I said that there are times that you guys do bits when you go out. Brags was asking me if you guys have a thing against them, and I'm like they're fine with you. They're just sometimes they like to gang up and do their bits. Okay? That's the way I person I believe like If I would do a parody song for you, Black, it would be to Madonna's material world. On git would be because you're because you are living in a contrarian world And you are just a contrarian girl in like you love them a man But you love to play the contrarian role you do and whether some of the takes are right or some of them are wrong..

"A play Penny rolling out, throws it. She's C championship game gets its promises. This'll shut everybody! This is possible. I've never seen him Man You love Tony Roma and you love Tony Roma when he loses his damn mind like that, But at Clement's in my opinion, and he read the most talented and biggest wildcard left in all the playoffs. Tell you what. That play yesterday and with with Chad Henny is a backup quarterback who was a little bit shaky. I know he had a couple good passes by interception that call that just shows complex. You got to have confidence in these guys. And that's kind of like our next man up mentality. Somebody coming But Andy Reid out of these four coaches now And he read to me is the best coach out of those four. And I'm not knocking the floor. I'm not talking, knocking Bruce areas at all, but stating fax. Yeah, this guy. This guy is a great great quarterback. Great, great coach for that for that team. Best best out there. Still, we can't end a sports talk show without you talking about taking or giving strokes at 83605 90 John from Austin. Has some Gulf news. What's going on, John? Well, I just hate to try to scoop anything on head butt and he may already know this, but The news is is that Ernie Els was here in the Austin area with his life this week. And that he is buying the Waterford golf course out on 14 31 on Lake Travis. And they're putting in to 18 Hole Championship courses. Also apart, three a nine hole par three out there and they have got about 1000 acres, and it's going to become Probably the most premier golf of center anywhere in Texas. I would say, Oh, wow, John, with dropping the dime on some Julie Gulf, Goss said. Clement says this in crossed your quartet. What's the course Call is called Waterford. I've never heard of that golf course. The Waterford and it was it was begun about 10 or so years ago, but it never opened. There was a bunch of conflicts and I think maybe a bankruptcy and it never opened and it has been dormant ever since. But it is the most beautiful Golf setting in in the hill country. I'll put it that way. Well, John, Thank John. Thank you. So much for calling sports talking. Congratulations, John from Austin. You are our new golf correspondent. Taking the place of one end, Clements. Thank you. Jon Scooped me, John. You say if Ernie else Ernie Els is a great guy to that zoo would be great for golfers. If this comes to fruition, that's great. Thank you, John. Thanks for your call. John. You just took the place of Ed over Clements. No, no. Yeah. Maybe we should have Jon Newsom the picks for this this weekend's football games to listen. I'm trying to what? What was what was Jason? What? Jason and I remember being told me He was three and 13 and one so he came back from his own seven was the only undefeated sports talk host that went undefeated. Hey,.

"Know dicks for you? Yeah. Plenty of drinks for you. You go. Sometimes players do get mad, though. I'm trying to think of stop my head if you mentioned no hitter or something, and like you said, you have to you Remember you were talking Vince Scully before Vin Scully has even explain like Of course, I wanted to say it's a no hitter. I mean, of course. So Yeah. I mean, you know, she's anything like I E remember listening? I listened back to Quantico faxes, no hitters. They had a man in over the radio during the pandemic that Scully was broadcasting. And it was on radio. So in on television again, you could be clever and I'll show you. It. Or, you know, you could give Ah Line scores something or you know there's a way to do it, but some people just come right out and say it. I don't recall I've never done one on radio. On TV. You know, the director producer can concolor you there, But people got to realize that I mean, people are superstitious, obviously, in baseball players, probably more than any sport. But it really has nothing to do with it. So, but something like that last night. I think then the announcers were becoming part of the story is the reason I don't do it. You know, Joe Buck was, you know, setting it up like he's gonna be a jinx here because you know why? Because he's reacting to people on Social media. They're going to react to it. And did they do? They crushed him after Tucker? Mr Field course. It's his fault. Like he had something to do with it. Like just going to hear it. Joe Buck wouldn't have said that. But I know that certain player like baseball players are really superstitious, So I know I'm trying to think I've thought maybe, but I have heard of baseball players like Mad over announcer for mentioning it. Yeah. What you gonna do? Well, they don't mention it like on the dugout bench like Cueto, you gotta know. Don't go in here. It was 100 plants. Don't hit it to me, though. No, right there that night at Dodger Stadium? Yes. No hitter E dono. Do you remember that? It was like, Oh, yeah, Somebody should have told Hunter with a no hitter Now he's lost the ball. It wasn't like he made it. A stage is lost. Now That'd be me. I'm gonna be really hypocritical if I got on underpants about that one because Basically my whole little league career. I was that guy that was bring it up. No, I was just No, I was just like who's the right fielder? Bad news bears the blond headed kid. I'm trying to think of his name. Now somebody hit us up in the text line. But I was just like, Don't hit it to me. Don't hit to me. Oh, well, yeah. You know? Maybe a little better than that. But you know, there's a guy that would just bring up the effective you're throwing a no hitter. I mean, could you imagine you're that around Roger Clemens or some? He probably take it down. Boomer Wells, a boomer, your throat a perfect l right. Cockney wasn't Don Larsen here before the game. I think you're doing what he's doing. Like the decade over right in baseball's extremely superstitious about it, So I know there's protocols that way. Like you just you know, you see pictures all the time when this throwing a no hitter or whatever they just They're off by themselves, and everybody kind of knows, you know, Talk to the guy, But, you know, anyway, now it's just do everything to do with it. So thank you, but they get all the grief. It's ridiculous. Oh, yeah. Airlines. How many kicks the desert line miss last night? What's going on with him? Yeah, no kid. Announcing uses. That must be a Dallas thing because I told you that when Mike Vanderjagt went to went to Dallas when I was there, and he last about three games, and he was horrible, liquored up kicker. Yeah. It was psychological. In fact, I think I told you the story before, but we had We had a weekly show where we'd go on location. And we had Vanderjagt is the guy and he lasted like three games. And so then Tony Roma was the back up to your blood. So And so just out of desperation were like let's do the Tony Roma's show, and Ramo agreed to do it. So we did the Tony Romo's show on location, and it just so happened that he replaced her breeze. Excuse me, Drew Brees, Drew Bledsoe. And then Roma became a rock star. And we had to like I mean, it was at this restaurant that probably had 200 people we get 500. People had to turn people away was the luckiest thing that ever happened to us. We're like we have Tony Rome. Oh, doing a show Weekly liken our show on location. At first we had Vanderjagt, but he sucks so bad. They cut him. We have to find somebody new. So we get the backup quarterback. It ended up all right. I was pretty sure that was the year Mike Vanderjagt. He's still having these numbers you don't actually uses. Justin Tucker is the most accurate kicker in history. The NFL But up until that you you're talking about and Dallas Mike Vanderjagt was hellion. One year in India. Where you miss a single kick. He was 37 for 37. What the year you're talking about? Wasn't that when or maybe it was an Indian a playoff game. You not only missed the kick, he missed the net. Yeah, behind the operates. Remember that? He missed this so badly wide, you know, the huge kicking that they have. The ball won't go into the crowd. He missed that. It's like this guy that liquored up kicker around. Want Peyton got all over one city called Peyton out of them, Peyton? Yes, that are liquored up kicker and Mr Kick or something. I don't remember what he said about Peyton Manning. But yeah, if you're gonna talk about getting a Minneapolis get man. And it was like the nicest guy ever. No son was like, OK, You take shots of me. Yeah. And I was Larry is your paintings, bits on ESPN also funny on those No. That is a great day. Everyone is just so funny. Yeah, various. He is Got to give it to a man is humor works. It's dry. I like him on the golf things. And you know those deals with staff and all that kind of in Phil Mickelson the stuff he's got the best one liners. He's good brother. Maybe funny. Cooper's hilarious too. Yeah, it was really good. Matter flying for that's hard to believe Lam here.

"Ezekiel Elliott, Mark Cooper, Tyron Smith. It's a lot of money and this team is loaded. And everyone says, Hey, this. This is smart. This is what cousins did, and he got franchised twice got 84 guaranteed then with a new deal, then sign an extension. It's everyone's saying the writing's on the wall that he has done in Dallas and rebranded necessarily think that way. He still thinks there could be A long term deal done. I don't know. It seems like they're just not hot as hot on him. As you would think a new head coach would be in a situation like that, a team that has all the town the world to go to the playoffs. Ah, quarterback. That's pretty good. He's a franchise. Caliber quarterback, But how great is he mean? You've seen the splits last season one and six against playoff teams, seven to against non playoff teams. Deck eight touchdowns, eight interceptions in their games against playoff teams. We saw how was against non playoff teams. He mopped the floor, 22 touchdowns, three interceptions. So that tells me not an elite quarterback tax, not elite, but he is franchise. He is a good quarterback. I always hear this bet on yourself, but on yourself down yourself. Okay. I mean, it's a Dallas Cowboys. And we understand that that is NFL royalty. It is just different when you're on the Cowboys. It's like being on the Yankees. It's like being on the Lakers. The amount of money that you can make a Dallas cowboy. Terms of endorsements. You can make more local money than some people make national money. That's in addition, already the national things he could take advantage of. I mean, look at how many cowboys former players are now broadcasters in some of the biggest roles there are we've seen Witten. We've seen Aikman, Michael Irvin. The list goes on Emmitt Smith. When you're a Dallas cowboy, Tony Roma Tony Romo if he was on any other team Any other team if he was a Cleveland Brown is Tony Romo today? The lead after no experience with no experience doing it all. The lead network analyst for CBS. Is that happening if he's not a Dallas cowboy? There are certain Benefits to being on the Cowboys. Oh, by the way, they're loaded. It is a loaded team.

"You watch this comedy you may be missing of golf which I enjoy they're the cable guys joining us right now is Larry procedure taken time to come on here and how's the comedy world gone no I play golf Warner do comedy he loves also you boy I tell you what I used to hate gold and now I love it to death you know did you see my bank shot there will be a couple weeks ago yeah I've I was watching everybody man I was like you just I I I love seeing you out there and playing all of them Tony Roma's hello golfer too but a lot of people don't know who really calls and met some of these guys take it super serious well that's the thing I go look it's all about when they have these pro am charity event is all about raising money and that kids in the end projects they have in the area and you know golf a lot of people don't know this but through these tournaments golf is the number one charitable organization and support golf is given over three billion dollars communities across the United States the so that's why they're fun to play and then you have a good summer bad I'm the only person by the way in the history of golf to ever appear on the golf channel and court TV on the same day that's regulations on that by the way people don't know you're a lefty as well little Phil Mitchell Mickelson with that bank shot that you're right you know he does that seven poll he had was good he didn't see mine but you know I've told me here we go to the range and hit on the range and but here's the thing about bill he's not a real live here right handed so he does not have the court the yield bona fide Lafayette so I don't know he's not in my book is not really I love him to death but he is not a real lefty I well I'm a real lefty I do everything left and he's actually writing and that is you are you more of a ball the fan Bob Watson your available which we plan let me see yeah a little bit but we don't want to go beyond the goal pick up in one of my first set of clubs and I used to play in a golf tournament down there so I'm a I'm a big fan a big fan of but I've but I but I enjoyed it I I enjoyed playing it and it it is a different sport special when you get older and yet and yet they gave ten year average shape but you can't play your favorite sports like baseball you know I've used baseball softball I can't get down on the ground are no more but I can at least a goal you can still every now and then make your shot to the broken may so there you go thank you Larry the cable guy's gonna be out here a couple shows eight PM ten thirty PM Friday March twentieth at the healer river hotel and casino all right so here we go your rock and roll in the world of comedy you started out just call into radio shows you've built yourself this amazing thing comedies change over the last couple decades political correctness is common how is it in this day and age where you you know even touching something that you think it's about nine subject that nobody would really care about can can backfire well you know there's still some of us out there that still do comedy and like we want to do comedy and yeah I'm glad you're pale came out did this special because he's actually somebody that the media lie you know there's a lot of us out there the media did not get that we've always done great packed out theatres marine is you know work yes Sir I was not a long time ago that political correctness is gonna kill the feel of comedy you know there's been a couple comedians in Canada that have already been to somebody was upended hopefully that doesn't come to the United States you know what I've just always done comedy like this look did you like your comedians go see the comedian if you don't like the comedian don't go see the comedian I have never figured out why people can't just throw back in the day you years ago state committee and and you would leave the show what he there's a black guy is very not like them here by C. they or you would say black guys suck that could care less about see that guy again yeah you got people going not only did that guys thanks almost as soon made sure he had ever been stand up again yes that is it's crazy it is it is of fourth grade mentality I so you know there's still a lot of us that don't care we go out we do our jokes yeah we do like you know we used to be you know we if you don't like it don't go to the show if you like it then go to the show I mean it's a free country there's different kinds of sodas and and and beer and yet like the bay area by the bear you don't like it you then you don't drink it you know you know you know you don't call them up and put them out of business because it doesn't taste good I believe it's the craziest thing I've ever seen in my life but it has the you know what my crowd you're awesome and it doesn't affect the way I do anything I'm still gonna if I find it funny I think my god you're gonna find it funny then I'll do it now I will say when I first started doing stand up I was single and I was married I didn't have kids and I did jokes that I thought were funny and you know it is and that but then I got married and of course my acting is a little bit then I got kids and when you get kids a lot of things change so you know the older I get and the more I think about you know when you're young and stupid yes say anything you want and then you get older and you have kids that you think about thank you did you go you know what I'm not gonna do that you're okay I'm I don't do jokes like this anymore Magda and yes because you know I got kids and now I understand certain things that I did not understand I mean I get that kind of stuff but you know okay the all that is that is the place to go and sit and enjoy enjoy a laugh yeah and absolutely and we don't do that anymore no you don't and it just takes all that pressure off of you know doctors prescribe people sometimes say total got go get go have some last man the best thing for you today is just to go and let it out and have some laughs and that's that's one of the decade's worth comedy is always bad for but I'm with you the political correctness is gonna it lives ruined so many things in our society I hope it doesn't sleep in the comedy and there are still a bunch of us out there that do comedy and we we could care less about who likes it who does that because we are Americans and we do our comedy under the guise of freedom and the old adage if you don't like trump and then dealers don't participate in that don't buy their help absolutes artillery cable guys so what is your question here we are the world of you know you've been doing this a long time did you know Larry that like you know what I've made it right because I was I was asked people like you know because you hear stories about Eddie Murphy stand it wasn't until he did like nutty professor too that he realized that he had made it was always waiting for that you didn't make it you gotta get a real job situation when did you know you make I would say when the first cars movie came out and I didn't even realize at the time how huge those water when I get it that's when I realized wow this is really that was even a level above everything else I mean here I'd been poor and I've been doing arenas and selling out you know doing twelve thousand people at night but everything so quick you're going to do the show you get on the bus go to the next town he didn't really I didn't really understand I mean I knew I was doing good but I didn't really understand you know but I knew we were doing really well and we were getting successful but when the movie cars came out my voice came on and it was a major motion picture and they had that huge mayor at the Charlotte motor speedway in and then John last year one to meet and see the show and I go up there and I'm introduced and Paul Newman Chuck Berry and that's at that minute that's when I said wow this is really this is really crazy so I do have one cars came out everything else it happened so fast it was a whirlwind but when cars came out I had the chance to actually you know just didn't just sit back and watch it materialized and and so I I would say that was probably the the moment but I will say some this crazy what about Steve Martin's book on comedy he said the one thing that he wishes he would have done in his career was enjoy your stand up career because it was a whirlwind to have but it only done it for a year and a half at the most you know doing arenas of anyone on the movies and and I look he had his date book is book and showed what he was doing and the numbers that he was doing and it was just like looking at my own schedule I worked every single one of those arenas that he added that but with the same amount of crowds and it was just really cool to see and so it's it's been a lot of fun but I would say those cars movies that's that's when I knew I did a call because there's you thought doing the arenas was one level but by guy here gave me a big Hollywood Pixar cars well these that was a whole nother level above that level yeah that's pretty much as bad as I used to get that sauce where the cable guys last question preview coming on what a world of of crazy political obvious you're in the entertainment field I run I have a lot of friends are going to Los Angeles friends were actors or directors or producers we differ politically you Louis blacker are are are you guys were tighter you still tight well we weren't looking who is black and I were really good friends Lewis black if I used.

O. Y. what scene and I respect the Michael Thomas is that's the reason why he doesn't group the new CBA if it was something along the lines of he deserves more money because he's obviously outplayed his contract I would respect that but what Tony Romo does has absolutely nothing to do what's going on in my life Michael Thomas I would love to show you the books of a lot of businesses that revolve around sports and how well they're doing now not also like to show you all the books and people have failed and how little money they're making that's a whole different ballgame but I love what Tony Romo G. as well I would like everybody to know that I have actively love Tony Romo's decision to not only flipped the game on its head when it comes to payment of commentators and people on TV but to do it in a way and get broken off to the tune of seventeen mail I absolutely love yeah I assume someone talk to Michael Thomas and and said basically what you said because the tweet got deleted this makes me sound Donna dot com as well or not no very intelligent very athletic that's a broken off shoulder broken off is how damn good he is but I can see how you can see other people's money get a little bit envious but there's two very different worlds but as far as Tony rebel I I saw or something or read it's like a three year deal but if the CVA deal give sign that's a ten year deal so that even if it's not now it's not about CBS about the rights for the yeah yeah Yeahs retains the rights and I yelled yes yes the CBS or CBS gets to expand their rights to NFL even if it's not for ten years even if it's only a four year extension he gets paid for ten years he signed a hundred and seventy million dollar guarantee deal to commentate football games and I love everything about it now Monday night football's kick is wide open what are they gonna do are we gonna do this dance again are we gonna do this dance of death I honestly believe that I would add a lot to the Monday Night Football booth now Andrew Marchand came after me for saying that I wanted the job of the New York Post which by the way I can understand that that might be frowned upon in some businesses do not want to you know fertilizer speak into existence your dreams and goals but whenever you've never really been given a full opportunity these are things you have to do Mr Marshall these are things you have to do I have said for the last three years that I think I would enjoy the hell out of Monday Night Football I understand the NFL I have a lot of friends in the NFL I know the game of the NFL and the fact that it could be a state a show that has taken some hits the last couple years would be an absolute honor now well they make that decision absolutely not absolutely not they will not let me in there I mean I think we all very much understand that I will not get that gig but I'm all about trolling for I'm all about showing for because I think I could add something to the NFL I honestly do believe that I could do that if I don't get I'm not gonna be upset because I've already missed twice without hiring me and it's just one of those things where it would be very cool to get that gig and a lot of people tweeting that I would take a cheap contract that is not that is not that is not accurate well you can probably just pay Pat for million they'll take a Mike first of all you have no idea how much money I'm making you have no clue how much it would take for me to do that it also now Tony Romo's on that we are what we look for position of leverage this is what we like to call good news for everybody that comes in I would love to see Peyton manning in there if they can get paid many of the I would love to see Peyton manning in their big brain I've no idea if you do it once you get in a calm setting that's a lot of air time to fill three hours every single week live might I think you would obviously be great in there I would enjoy it and I wouldn't mind learn how to do play by play I think that's something I could figure out rather quickly I'll say it so you don't have to because you're a good guy and you would never say this but the the last two guys that they had in there doing color couldn't even have a job holding your microphone so should I we got to get to that is something I would never I would like it to be known but I I have never said that in the opinions of they do not reflect that of their employer but I think everybody knows that there's not a single human on earth I can touch on the microphone I think that is I think that is something that is very much understood.

Tony Roma's would not call you when you were twenty because you haven't set up your life and would not find you right. So there's a part of that system like how do we set up the systems to have luck find us because that's a big thing to write. An to with the winter. So I had a conversation with a few buddies of mine and we wear the conference like pretty high but you have to groups you've got the twenties and then you've got the thirty forty. Year olds right.
