It was very good, so I think it was pretty fresh. Fresh burgsman. You can't you can't You can't beat it I. Don't think they can rush it. Is that what it is. They can't leave food waiting around maybe right. Letter they're just so short staffed that they have to tell you. They like six people. Like yeah, but you don't know how many people they normally have. Maybe they usually they normally of eighteen people. They had six people that were serving one car at a time. Now that service. All Right Tim. Enough Chitchat enough idle Chitchat. We don't get. We don't hang all out these days. No, Tim because there's a fucking global pandemic going. But I'm just saying. Maybe you don't don't speak ill, of Chitchat sometimes it's. Maybe we should just start having. Sorry I had to look. Suburb Tom just really saw somebody walking by and got out of his chair. To called neighborhood watch real quick. No, I'm on the lookout for is apparently the people like a couple of houses down have a pet pig that they go. Yeah, okay? Yes so you'll have to excuse me if I really get distracted. You're busy. Body is fine if it's in service of. The neighborhood pig I'm determined to have my dog meet the neighborhood pig. Ginger not do well with the pig. In his house and injure already is like what the hell is that. Just wants nothing to do with that. Ginger is a simple dog. Ginger Ginger does not like being introduced to new now she's. She's very set in her ways. Yeah, and this is like more or less the first time. She's seeing a cat certainly the first time. She's been around a cat this much. So. We introduced her a pig. She's going to be like this place is hell. What is going on? What kind of sick experiments are going on here? With all these weird animals I never knew existed. I mean sure I can eat all the grass I want here in the in the yard, but yeah God. Yeah, and she keeps eating the cat food. I keep telling her. You're going to turn into a cat if keeping that cat food and she say she's turns back and starts eating it again. Play she hasn't even understand what I'm telling her. "Of this is actually straight from the book that we wrote the indispensable. Lincoln sales guide for financial advisers. The advice request. Hey I was going to reach out the Tom. Reynolds on lengthen. I noticed you're connected to him. What what's the best way to introduce me right? I I love your advice on the best way to introduce me as we talk about this strategy objections that you're going to get are not the ones the most of us for see most of us for see the objection being that the client somehow and willing to make this happen They're reluctant they feel awkward with it. That is typically not the case. Typically you look at the data point eighty five percent of them. Were saying yeah fine. I'm happy to help. Lincoln can network that way. That's exactly so when we think about. How do we pull this together? It's much more about the frequency of our ask than it is the willingness of our client. And you can look at this and you could say this is the most dum bum simple way ever to use link but it's the most powerful as proven by our data yet very very few people. Do It drives me insane. They don't do it because it's it's comfort zone and we're trying to do today is going to show you a process and give you more confidence around doing. It's like if you know. Hey this is what. I worked through this scripts that I use. This is how I handle feel very common. Objection you're going to have more confidence and you're just going to do more of it. Yeah and when you think through the the mountains of research that we have and the anecdotally. We could hundreds and hundreds of advisor process like this. I can't remember a time Kevin. Maybe you can where somebody came back to us and said Hey I had this linked in conversation and boy was that a bomb client couldn't be more offended that I was looking through their network online. Right we don't get the risk is really low here and if nothing else. You've opened up the dialogue that you're in a growth mode you'd benefit for meeting some of their connections. That's exactly right. Let me share one more script before we move onto the next phase of the process. And that's the ease in approach. It's actually one of my favorite from the book and its Hey Jim I noticed. You're connected to Tom. Reynolds on Lincoln. See a good guy right like and it's just he's a great guy. You know what I'd love to meet him. What's the best way to do that? So there's there's so many ways to ask it's a matter of asking it's a matter of finding your own unique style and doing it into Steven's point verbally you know over the phone face to face we've seen some of it work via email but just your odds down. I have less emotional poll. Like if I'm asking via email you can. You can just ignore that email. If I'm asking you face to face you're going to have to give me some sort of response. So final part of the process. Let's say hypothetically. Is Kevin for an introduction. At Tom Reynolds Kevin says yeah. Let me talk to them. We'll see what's going on next week. Maybe we can all get together for lunch or something. I'm not done yet. Kevin has agreed in principle. But we haven't pulled anything together yet and there is a chance to Kevin gets off in his busy life and all of a sudden. We haven't pulled this together so one thing angling for here is a little bit of accountability and so at the conclusion of that call or that meeting. I might say Kevin. I really appreciate you being willing to talk to Tom or getting this pulled together. Just trying to firm up my schedule by like into Friday. Do you mind if I give you a call. Then just to see if you're able to get a hold of them right now. Let's just let them know. This is serious to me. I really WanNa pull this together and I am going to follow up so that step forward the process we call it polite accountability. So you're holding me accountable. But you're doing it in a very very nice way. You're telling me as the potential introducer that you are serious about making this introduction happened and I worked with an advisor down in southern California. Who I'm telling you. The Guy Loved the concept sort of asking for introductions all of his clients ruling den almost all of them agreed in principle but none of them were actually occurring and he was feeling awkward following up with him about about making. It happen when we dug into it a little bit. We realized he was putting no. He wasn't closing the loop. And that's what this polite accountability does. The final process is the final step of the process. Is the introduction itself? Kevin has agreed to put me in front of Tom. Reynolds is the day of. It's happening at that point. I hope I've done a little bit of homework as to their relationship as to. What makes Tom Tick? And my whole goal in this is not the land in an accountable to make a great new contact. I come already highly. Credible is by the fact that I came introduced by Kevin who tell noses my client. This speaks volumes to our relationship. If I was goofball if I did a poor job for Kevin Kevin would never put me in front of Tom so I don't have to show up at this meeting trying too hard to impress. I don't have to ask for any account paperwork. I'm coming in being a very natural person knowing that. There's a high likelihood that Tom's going to be in the market at some point and I want to be who he thinks about that. That's exactly right so just to recap the process step. One was planting seeds giving your clients and centers of influence or anyone really for that matter. Comfortable with the idea of introducing you through link step was to source prospects. And that's actually going to be going on link dinner running a search using the connections of Tab and doing a little bit of digging three is asking. Ideally we do it face to face right. Second second area secondarily would be over the phone for. We use polite accountability to close the loop when we get the client or the introducer to agree and then finally we actually have the introduction. Take Place Yeah. It's a straightforward process. Get out and use it. You'll be glad you did. The information covered in posted represents the views and opinions of the presenter and does not necessarily representative user opinions of wealth. "Also on taxes, the Republicans, proposing a cut in the state income tax. It's targeted a class Wisconsin, is it amounts to between seventy five and one hundred and thirty three dollars a year. The number goes up in the second year. There's no reason to not do it one of the problems, I have with it is not an across the board tax cut. It is targeted only toward individuals in the middle class. These other components in the budget that are in there, but those are the biggies my biggest objection. In addition to the fact that would pointing way too much money into public education with no demands of accountability whatsoever. The quality of education keeps declining enrollment keeps the client they keep wasting the money they don't do anything to kind of nothing happens. And Secondly to include the ability for the legislature to deal with transportation taxes, down the road without a vote of the entire legislature is terrible. Government. About twenty years ago, I reeled on this show, eventually successfully to get rid of the automatic annual increases in the gasoline tax. We used to have a gasoline tax that was indexed. In other words, it went up every year, so we raise taxes every year without ever, Eddie, anybody ever have devoted. We killed that it was concert in my program was a big reason for it. Tom Reynolds back, but he was in the legislature was one of those who champion it. We got it to the Florida actually a coalition of Democrats and Republicans voted for it. This would be a reversion to those bad old days. By allowing the creation of, and they're not gonna go small, if they figure out a way to do this, if they figure out a way to come in and have a mileage tax on people. There's no point in doing it and put up at the crap, that they're gonna do unless they make it a major one, and I'm not even saying mileage tax bad idea. I'm saying if there is going to be a proposal for higher tax in this state. It needs to be voted on by every elected member of the state legislature. And then signed by the governor. To allow a handful of people to raise our taxes and give them that carte blanche is terrible. And as I said, in my mind is a deal BUSTER. In this budget. And the kind of thing that ought to invite primary election challenges next year for Republican elected officials who would vote for something that terrible four, fifty four news talk eleven thirty WINS. It's time for rapid.

"Tim enough of that the coal. Let's talk about keeping warm staying warm. What's the name of the episode keeping warm? Keeping warm, right? Yeah. Keep warm look, stay cool. That's confused. No, no, no. Those are either tell somebody in the winter to keep warm in the summer. Stay cool. You put that in your yearbook in their yearbook. Yeah. I put in my yearbook as quote, stay cool. Tom, stay cool. Tom Reynolds, Tom rentals. All right. Let's talk first off the best way to keep warm, and that's a coat. Yeah. I mean, I I know you like to visit the Burlington coat factory two to three times a week. I don't know Venus when we were upstate I brought I have like a ski coat that. I don't really like it's kinda ugly yet is but boy Howdy. Is that thing warm? It's nice. I would always expect you to have some sort of bullshit like like code that has like silver on it. Yeah. The my ski code has silver inside that reflects back at you is it like thinner than you would think it is who would be. Maybe. Yeah. No. I don't think they really sacrificed thinness that they were dislike we're gonna make it regular thickness. But also, we're gonna put these silver dots on it. And that's gonna insulate you. Yeah. Not a bad code. How often do you buy new cood not often enough? I have I've I've been wearing this peacoat since two thousand nine. Yeah. I got rid of my peacoat a few years ago because it just had like like the lining was ripped and stuff like this isn't actually doing much anymore. I think I'd like to become a whole king strongman. So I'll have to buy a new coat. This kind of this one. Does it go by coat co for ten years that sounds like reasonable? And actually if you bought it. Now, you probably get a good sale because you know, nobody's buying a winner goat now. Now, it's too late. It's cold. This is this is that's what you would think. But that's just not the case at Burlington coat factory all the time. So I guess I'm gonna take your word for I'm telling you if you went to a place right now, they probably have like a spring stuff out. All right. So number one where a coat where a coat the better if it's really cold out. Yeah. Unless mobility's important to you, the next most important thing in my mind hat's, what kind of winter hat, would you recommend you one of those like flap, Pat, the flapper hats, one of the like. No like like a hat a Russian guy would wear. No, I don't have one of those those pretty warm though. About years and stuff. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm not thinking about like the big hats, look like a cute tip. Those are probably pretty nice. They have line. Yeah. Like the one that cousin Eddie wares in Christmas vacation. Yeah. Seem nice should try to get one of those always are like touted out as like this silly hat, and it is a seal can happy looks pretty warm too. Yeah. Who gives a shit? What you look like. Right. I just have like a basic beanie, I guess now with without propeller get excited boy. Well, tell you what that squall today. He got caught out there the propeller by take off. Yeah. Pretty nice pretty nicely. His fly. What if I was going to get killed by weather? I have one hundred to be because we're gonna be had just flew into the atmosphere and got eaten by space bugs. Flu would have been a very poetic debt. But unfair to happen was just like twenty seconds later fell back and pounds off the pavement died instantly agrees. Green the whole way down. Fortunately, he takes. He got scared taking the hat off. Never did find that hat. I do. I just have a regular winter hat. Knit hat. Yeah. That's an I have you know, what? And honestly that does the trick for the most part. I don't like it. If my hair's too long, I screwed up my hair for the whole rest of the day. It's good. Look if you've recently got a haircut and kind of match your hair down in a way that makes it look like you've done something already that day. You know what I mean? Like what? No that just makes it look like this is a guy who scenes shit today. He's been. About why would you like what kind of stuff?.

And whenever I tell you that these superhero movies make a lot of money. But I don't think they're good. You're like, but everybody sees them. They're great. No. I don't. GD Tony the tiger. No. But that's completely different. It's not whether they're good or bad. It's can you. Remember anything from it? And. Ironman to in iron man to ironman with Robert Dana junior. No that was the one with Mickey Rourke Mickey Rourke played whiplash. And he was mad because I think iron man, I really draw the question. Not because I think that might be right in doesn't seem like you really had it to clear what happened in that movie. Look the name a character whiplash from ironman to from the comic book. No, I'm not a big iron man comic fan. But I've saw that movie. And I remember character name. Okay. Can't remember anybody from twenty eighteen complete. "Oh, because it's a very special year in review we. Look we're going to we're going to talk about the highs. We're going to talk about the lows we're going to give out some very prestigious awards. The the the twenty eight team completed his even your hosts Tom Reynolds and ginger, and I'm just a I'm one of the presenters. One of the. Be other presentative scientists show up meticias. Why that's the weirdest. I mean, ginger my dog is gonna really have much do with any of this. She's just she's onstage with you at all times. Yeah. Like, no word show. Have a dog on sage's survey. Sometimes that from the artists was at the ords one true. Yes. That one time that dog from the artists was at the awards and that won best picture, right? Because people are still talking about that movie all the time. A landmark movie. Yeah. Everybody loved it. And they still love it. Man. I was thinking about along those lines avatar the other day, you could put a gun to anyone in the world head and say avatars still the top grossing movie of all time to this. Why would you need to put a? To tell them that destroyed the. You wouldn't need to you just tell them. Here's here's a scenario walking Walk up. up to somebody walk up to somebody unarmed. All right. I'll change it for you. Then walk up to somebody on armed, and you can say are you aware that avatars the highest grossing movie of all time to this day picture picture? Buffo box. I did the most Bothell box office that the world's ever seen. And if they most people pricey I think, I did know that if they didn't you might have to take out your phone and be like, I'll prove it to you. They think you're a liar, you go to the internet movie database, but once you're you got that person on board, you could grab them and put a knife to their throat this better and say, I'll slit your throat year to year unless you tell me, oh and ask them if they've seen it, and they probably have Sal, sit your throat ear to year, unless you tell me the name of one character from that movie. The navy Thome that not a character. That's a that was the alien. Jeff. No there is but. See and while you're fumbling with your phone to be like, Jeff, Jeff disarm. Then a knock the knife out of your hand. And then the tables have turned. Yeah. Now, you name the. Last eight Coen brothers movies or something? Oh, no. I mean, that's us. I mean, that's more difficult when I'm saying is the most objectively the most do that. I would need to look it up on a phone down with much you. But I could say it's not true. But I could say I don't really care for their work. I don't see. They're motion pictures. I don't. But you were going to slip through listen might point isn't whether I cared for something or not. Even to a Cohen brothers fan. It would be they would take them a little while to be. All right. The last eight movies can use pen and paper. Can I write this down if needed skill reverse chronological, but it would still be difficult? Even if somebody's Coen brothers fan. Okay. What I'm saying is that like everyone in the world scene. Avatar? I haven't seen avatar scene. Haven't seen avenue put on. Yes. You have ITAR. It's great. It's the best motion picture they ever made. But but nobody could name a single character. The weirdest feel like we were all twenty eighteen years review been talking avatar over the last ten minutes. Like, we were all freaking hypnotize using like the men in black. "You would hate it. So that was my situation. Yeah. There's a social space. I don't go in the social space. Would want to like maybe like, okay. I might go crazy. If I don't talk to anybody all, but that doesn't seem like an issue that you have you'd prefer not to talk to anybody. No, I'd like to talk to people, but like. Altercations with the cashier burger. Don't get in dollar. Cashier per. Properly, you know. You didn't smile when you told me that can have it my way, he didn't pay me the properties. But. No, I would like to have more social interaction throughout the day. But I'm not willing to risk like negative social interactions for that. Yeah. Like, I'm not willing to like strike up conversations enough. That I would. That it's like worth it. Yeah. Here's the thing. I'm also, I'm I'm bearish on how much people I co working spaces actually talk to each other. 'cause like, so I my my last day job we were start up, and we rented out office space, like a smaller company of the co working space has has the co working industry has changed so much. No. I know. But like, I mean, we were all like bad people. I guess, but we would just like constantly talk shit about the other Smits. Talking shit, all your coworkers talking shit about you. And you were all. Oh, yeah. I'm friends with most. They have a used knit group that I'm. Well school. Yeah. You're talking about the job that you had in eighteen ninety three during the dotcom, boom. The first one. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, I guess it depends on like I've looked into doing like renting space at general co working space for that reason. Because there's also like not like a lot of people Meiko working spacer are significantly older than me. So it's like, I don't really. It's a retirement renting desk at a retirement and nursing home. Actually. So like I've thought about going like a co working space like more general one for that reason to like, the L meet people and stuff. But then I'm also like, yeah. But when Mike actually getting work done if somebody came up and was like human week at all fucking kill you kill away from me. We may alone. Through. What I would say is. Meet up on us knit and. No. But I get like there at the day. You wanted us as mowing? Day. Wouldn't it be nice to like walk to coffee shop and get that? This is all happening while we were sitting wing for the show to start like he's like, how do you put something on a picture? We mean, do I like text on a picture? And I was like, I don't know. Like I think he'd do teen. So you know what it was because he some media it in Instagram, I was. I was Instagram story teller in his room, storyteller. Yeah, it's my thought preneurs thought per Noor. Yeah, you know. Back in the old per preneurs back in the olden times, elders with tell stories around the campfire mime medium is Instagram storms, Tom, that's where I tell my story inspiring. Just to generation of kids look up to you me and the rest of the kids really look up to you. Steamboat Willie your idols riding that tree right. Instagram's stories of Tom Reynolds. So he saw me like doing Instagram story and he was like, how? How do you do that with the texts that I'm like, it's in like Instagram and he's like, well, how do I do it on Instagram, Mike, I don't really know. I don't do it otherwise, but. Eventually figured out how to just like write with his finger on a picture. And I suggest to them from now on when you text Tim, you should text it by just writing on this picture of the David Blaine stage. That'd be a funny bit right. Did he try to write like I'll give you that hundred twenty dollars to reimburse you for the ticket? No, but I'll tell you what impulse offense. He but me probably like one hundred twenty dollars worth of drinks there. And then even at the end of the that helps me and then even at the end of the show, he was to buy those drinks anyway, not as many as he was like, like, hey, I'm getting other one. You want one. All right. Yeah, sure. Get blackout drunk magic show because like that. Look, you get amazed at drunk. You could fool a drunk with any eels. Yeah, but he's not gearing it towards drugs as long as he's trying his best. David, Blaine. That's all that counts. No..
