"Kind of weird less conveys from me like your earlier caller. I was real skeptical of the covert thing. Because you don't see things and until you know somebody personally been there it. It really doesn't capture your attention to the details. Mma father in law nine days ago was in the back yard picking up sticks and just doing things. He's eighty seven years old you know. He's he's busy man. He tested positive on monday. He was in the hospital wednesday and died saturday. Oh my goodness. I mean just just that quick and and and you know i get the fact that he's eighty seven years old had long wonderful life and was a hell of a man i would. I would so much to that man for the opportunity to gave me treated me like son. The only summit he ever had and Into watch that take that toll as quick as it did. And he wasn't elevator but his fever was to the point that he was in such pain. I mean they. They had to give him morphine but he was still here and And you know it was just devastating to watch the the rapid pace of that and You know to all those people out there skeptical. I understand that. But it's definitely something for real and those people with those underlying conditions are ed screen risk and it was just devastating to watch the effect of it. Well i mean. I i am so sorry to hear that and i appreciate your your comments about him. He sounded like an amazing man. But it is serious. And i think people have heard it all before. But you're right. I mean. I know a number of people that have dealt with it like but nothing like you've gotten through just gotten through telling me but the only good news is that we are inching engine forward but that doesn't that doesn't rectify what you said and in with so many other people have gone through while it's been a year since we've really started talking about this and it took this long for i guess in the last month i've known twenty twenty five people that have had it all different kinds of symptoms and it was just. It's just sledded everything close around me in. And it's certainly got my attention to paul. Appreciate stake in. Mccall have good. "What was it vanderbilt in tennessee. How would you write those jobs as far as the best job. One-third aubrey south carolina. And what was the other one. Tennessee i would. I would say i would say. Auburn is the best job of those group that group. Okay because i think it auguring forget to sabin factor but think about this in the in the last ten years Ten seasons eleven seasons now auburn is played for the national championship twice and a couple years ago. They had a shot at getting back there. Had they beaten georgia in the sec. Championship game tennessee hasn't come near a national championship. Run since what two thousand and three. The one did not believe it was ninety eight. Yeah they made me by the way in two thousand and one in tennessee and beaten if only beaten sabin and the sec championship game which he should have done. They would've played for the title. So the other vanderbilt speaks for itself. South carolina recruiting bay. It's a it's a tough a tough climb there. I think definitely the best. Here's here's the point. I was i was bringing. I think there are five schools. That are in a class of their own Alabama georgia florida. Am and lsu right. I think you to those are probably the best job in the city. Okay so now. If you say auburn god is better tennessee. That's it okay and they'd be going down and now you're looking at kentucky or south carolina point. I'm making this. Tennessee comes out as being like the eight best job. If you're saying it's better than this. Mississippi state arkansas missouri. It's like the eight best job in the in the in the sec. Yeah no that's a good point. And i agree with you and i and i think the am job has emerged. But but there's no stopping us ask you how out of those that are not in the top five If if somebody made you answer this which one do you feel as though is the best Sleeping out of the top five used to by the way five years ago i am was sleeping giant if they ever got it right improve but i didn't come up with. That coach bryan. Came up with that as you know he wants. He wants said that the program would be out of control again if they ever got it right so we're talking about What are we talking about. I'm i'm trying to do the policy. Kentucky olver south carolina okay. Well i'm probably I do think. I think tennessee could be in that category after a couple of years. Okay because of the fan. Base and tennessee has a lot going for it. Not right now. But it can. And i mean but i think this is critical tennessee. If it doesn't get this right is going to end up being nebraska which is really a forgotten program and you and i it wasn't that long ago that nebraska was the dominant program in college football. Thank you for listening to the paul finebaum. Show podcast the paul finebaum. Show airs weekdays on the sec network beginning at three eastern..

"Today and doing great. Thank you hope you are well. It takes me two weeks. But i finally got through wonder has talking a couple of weeks ago. About the impact of the sec network. And i just had been trying to get into. Say i mean. Sec ex pat. I got my undergraduate degree in athens. Sixty-nine law degree seventy two came home to new jersey to practice law and back then like many people we were cut off from what was going on in the sec. Just wasn't covered. And now we have the paul finebaum. It's wonderful. I mean the interesting and unique people that called in some of them are little more unique than others but you know the perspectives that data. It's it's just been wonderful guy. Speak for tens of thousands of sec ex-pats living around the country. When we say thank you for what you do for it. Well rob thank you because this was a fascinating idea. And i can. I can say this. Because i i was hired. I was the first person hired to be first. Talent hired to be for on the sec network. So i played a role with people who had already been working on it in the marketing of it and the selling of not not to fans but to the cable companies the satellite companies and it was fascinating to to go to those meetings and go to those conversations and try to talk to people in new york about the fans support and i remember not long after we launched. Joe tessa tour. Tim tebow marcus. Spears and i did a tour of all the advertising agencies on madison avenue even though some are no longer on madison avenue. And i really felt like we were we were we might as well been gorky park in moscow trying to convince russians who we were because those people elected us. Forget me kim tibo. They didn't know who he was. And maybe the maybe they get a picture for their daughter but it was. It was unbelievable. So when i hear you say what you said about everyone that has worked the sec network and continues to i it. It's really gratifying to hear well. I'm happy to do. And by the way switching gears You know one of my classmates in undergraduate school i didn't know was lewis grizzard. Oh my goodness there's still remembered. The saas today. Rob sadly not as and i. I got to know him toward the end and did some interviews with them but one of these days. Somebody needs to do one of these documentaries on him. I don't know if you know of his era if anyone had more influence on the on the sec culture than lewis did his wife Wrote a book about the last one But i wish. I wish i could offer you something but but that that is something that needs to be done because forget his connection to georgia but he was. He really was a trailblazer really. Know the expansion of the sports medium. I mean anyone into comedy which he was just hilarious. I saw one of your shows once. And i can't imagine what he was. I mean i knew what he was like late in his life. i can't imagine what he was like undergraduate. You know he probably wrote what was the greatest newspaper headline about an upcoming college football game. I do go ahead. And i'll let you say you're a lawyer. It was georgia south carolina game or middle linebacker. Happy dick's newspaper read. Dogs play talks with dicks out. Hey know you're such a big fan of the show. Can you give me a job. When i get fired tomorrow morning for you telling jokes retired around and listen to you. Every afternoon well What type of law did you practice. I was a personal injury. Litigator and why you when. I came home at night. I didn't wanna talk about it now because it's not fun work. 'cause you're dealing with other people's misery now well robert. It's what a pleasure by the i can. Listen to your. You could have been a late night. Dj in the seventies playing Classic rock i was. I was up doing closing statements in front of picture i get. That's when you're trying to case you're working twelve fourteen hours a day sometimes more and just what it is. If you want to do it well most did you practice Mainly in the northeast. Ya strictly in new jersey an occasional for a into manhattan or philly federal courts year. Wow what a what. A what a fascinating. I could listen to your stories all night. I'm fascinated by that field and always have not happy store. No no no. I don't think people realize that is a tough field. Because you're literally going up against the alabama's and florida's of the world when it comes to law firms and and i it's i did not particularly care for for personal injury attorneys when i was in the newspaper business early on because i had lean on those big law firms to keep me out of trouble but i do appreciate i do appreciate it now i can. I can assure you well thank.

"Morning edition from NPR News. I'm Noel King and I'm Rachel Martin. Meat packing facilities have been hit hard by the pandemic that includes Tyson Foods largest port plant in Iowa. The facility was temporarily shut down in April because of an outbreak there. And by the time it reopen the following month, 1000 workers had reportedly tested positive. Turns out now, according to a new lawsuit, managers took bets on how many workers would get infected even as they took measures to protect themselves Car. Kaufman of the Iowa Capital Dispatch first reported the story and joins us now. Thanks for being here, Clark. Good morning. Can you just start off by telling us a little bit about the family that has filed this suit? You know, we don't know too much about the family. We know very little, but it's basically the lawsuit has been filed by the family of a former plant worker by the name of this e Dro Fernandez. We don't know how old he wants or how long he worked at the plant That hasn't been part of the lawsuit. There hasn't been anything that's been publicized, though. We do know that he left behind a wife and a son. And they're the ones who initiated the lawsuit on his behalf. Well, so he passed away from the bike from the vine. Yes, he died April 26, allegedly after contracting the virus in the plant. So let's talk about the substance of the suit and this alleged betting pool. What can you tell us? Well. The lawsuit, which was initially filed in the summer, was just recently revised just this past week to include a new set of allegations, and it basically alleges that Tyson's guilty of fraudulent misrepresentation And gross negligence for requiring employees to work long hours in cramped conditions without the appropriate protective equipment and without ensuring social distancing. But the most striking allegation is that in mid April The plant manager, A man by the name of Tom Hart, organized a cash buy in winner take all betting pool in which supervisors and managers at the plant wagered money on how many of their employees would ultimately test positive for covert 19. Um, that's hard here. So not only were there employees being put at risk because of lax safety protocols, but this betting pool I mean, that's just cruel Eyes is Tyson's saying anything about this? Well. The the allegations were made in a court filing nine days ago, but it wasn't until yesterday after the allegations were first publicized that the companies said anything about it. At that time. The CEO Dean Banks said he was extremely upset about the allegations said they do not represent the company's core values. Hey, went on to say that Tyson's retained a law firm. Conduct an investigation and the investigation will actually be led by former U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder in addition to that bank said the company has suspended without pay. The individuals who were allegedly involved in all this. Just briefly. What does the family want? What changed? They haven't specified specific damages. But of course, there are the lawsuit and seeks damages for the gross negligence and Misrepresentation that's being alleged, but no particular dollar amounts been specified. Mark Kaufman of the Iowa Capital Dispatch. Thanks so much for sharing your reporting with us, we appreciate it. Thank you. This is NPR news, and you're listening to morning edition here on the double U, N. Y. C And Here's a quick little quiz for you. What has a color often described as Pepto Bismol pink? "Think you said it while ago. Where you sit out wire is clemson. Clemson and notre dame now if And i know clemson is going to get some Some style points because of They're playing without trevor lawrence and You know that's that's one of the factors that have that has to be taken into consideration and all but if if clinton were to you know just both Motor dining tomorrow then. They they need to do it again. In the acc play-offs the best thing for all of these other teams as they need Simply alabama Either cleansing are notre dame probably clemson and how state to run the table. Then you've got a bunch of one loss teams. They take in florida because they would have to. It can't be georgia because they would have to. It could still be a m And if clemson beats notre dame they've got his losses so now fighting for that would be am and properly cincinnati. you'd probably have cincinnati in oregon. And then you've also got the you sitting while they probably couldn't get there but with like you said brad way always good to hear from you and hope to see one of these anybody one of these days. Thanks for the call though. Brad matt is up next in bristol virginia. Hello matt hey paul big fan thank you think of my call I just wanted to ask you a question. Obviously this year has been crazy for everyone and I am a huge finebaum fan. Show and i love finebaum friday and You know this being the florida georgia week. I always loved to see you there in jacksonville. The senate sec nation. And i love. Tim tebow marcus spears. And i just wanted i wanna normal year. I know the virus could still be with us next year. But on a normal year where you'd be back with. Sec nation and finebaum friday. I would hope so. you're right. there is nothing of all the things that i've done with this show. I would say the most fun we we have on a day on a weekly basis or is that friday show. It's just so cool. Especially i think four straight years in jacksonville and it is just such a treat to luxury in that game whether you think last year. We were by the stadium. I think one year we were by the river. It doesn't matter where you are. And i would hope i mean i. It's hard to predict anything right now. to be to to be perfectly honest with you there matt but that's a show that i hope we can restore one day on the fridays. I really do well the guy the guys on it now. It's really not knocking them jordan and they do a good job. I really miss market than you on it. And so you know moving forward. My biggest comments about this weekend. Is i just think we have to look at x factor players contrast in you know if the linebackers at georgia can match up with kyle in the. Db's is going to be a long day. but i really think You know if they do contain cockpits you saw missouri. Do a really good job of that. I think copland and grinds and tony could also have a huge day. So you know. I'm looking at x factor players florida's often has a good chance of just kinda kinda making a long day for georgia. But you know. Obviously georgia has one of the best defense in the country. So i'm not going to be overly optimistic. But you know i. I really love with dan. Mullen too and i you know i know what this fine the twenty five thousand dollar fine. Which speaking of fine. I heard what you said earlier. And i really hope that you're not fine for what you said earlier. The the the money that you said that you're going be fine. Because that's really how how long well i can tell you this. Well that was a joke. But i don't remember when it started but the sec office years ago put out this edict that we can no longer call it. The world's largest outdoor cocktail party. And i have to say it is the world's largest outdoor cocktail party. And why we why. We aren't allowed to say it. I don't even remember. I think someone died. And i get all that but i will tell you this though Twenty five thousand dollars to me is going to be a lot more punishment. It is the dan mullen. So i'm hoping i don't get find either. Thanks for the call. Appreciate or up against a break. We are heading to the commercial. But tom hart will join us. He's on the call for one of the biggest games of the day. Tomorrow we will talk to many many more guests as we work our way through the program..

"That locked room, you know? Things like that don't happen unless you've got exceptional people starts with our leadership or our university. We've been given an opportunity to get incredible people we've got the resource is that we need to compete on our coaches have done a terrific job Investing. These kids is people we started there. Certainly the football We believe comes after that so proud of those young men are proud of our staff spinning given off season, man. I know you guys are well aware of what we've entered, But you could talk about over 19 and these social issues hurricane But when you lose one of your family members, one of your members It's a significant event. So hope my man DJs up there smiling right now, for sure. I mean, what a start for the raging Cajuns. I got to have some full disclosure, R J. I didn't realize that Tom Hart in my golden were not there. Did you know that I didn't realize until they showed a picture. Golic is I think he was in Bristol, right? And I was in Connecticut, probably at the campus doing it. And then Tom Hart has this amazing basement. To that basement he's got he's got these really nice like wood stairs. Looks a little like so beautiful like a poxy floor, all decked out fireplace shelves. There was such a good job. Those guys did that I didn't even didn't even dawn on me that they weren't at Iowa State until sometime late in the first half, when they showed them at home or wherever. Whatever Respective studios they're broadcasting from. And sometimes actually getting to see the wizard pull back. The curtain is kind of fun, right? Because never now it again. I see you're zone setups and they suck. And I judge you because I have the home studio set up and I take a lot of pride in it. Knowing that my goal was not there, knowing that Tom Hart was not there also made me feel so much better because somebody took enough time to actually one try to re create the environment and do a great job of calling the game I was popping in and out of Iowa State. And Louisiana because I had the audacity to believe that this is a foregone conclusion that a top 25 team is going to be a Sunbelt team. No, sir. No, sir. Just like I want the unfortunate Pleasure of watching Arkansas State. Stop a mudhole in a big 12 team, you know? Jeff, the Sun Belt of the Power five conference Now you know that right? You look around. You got to say that right? After today, they played great and doesn't that speak more to now? The playing field is even that much more leveled because programs have had to have these delayed starts and everyone had kind of different time frames and some schools would begin practice and they would have some outbreaks. They would suspend football activities for a couple of days. I think we'll probably see that even more So in the NFL on Sunday, everyone's kind of starting at the same spot again. I don't know if If the Sunbelt school's finished at the same spot. What they're they're great athletes just like the power Five kids are and without the luxury of maybe the extra time and the usage of the facilities and maybe whatever edges Programs like Iowa State would have, theoretically over a Louisiana It's more even out and you know those schools get off to great start. I think it's I think it's fun. I mean, the worst thing to me would have been in all these games were super predictable. How about Duke? Notre Dame? That the final score did not indicate R. J How close that game was due kid That is like a one score game late in the third quarter. That was a good showing by the Blue Devils. You wouldn't Notre Dame won in the end. No, I'm not going. I can't. I can't. I paid too much attention to recruiting. I take too much attention to who's actually there. At the end. You have more talent, you auto win. That's how college football is done. If you had more five stars four stars coming out of high school. You're probably gonna win more football games. If you don't win more football games That's on your coaching. As much as your kids. There is not a plane in which to Arkansas State, Appalachian State. Louisiana should be competing with the upper tier teams in the big 12 or even the A. C. C. Now Notre Dame. I'm not sure what to do about them because they get gassed up every year. And if they're absolutely positively defense, we want to put him in a playoff. And then they get house by begged, soared over there. We'll call him Clemson. I can't get behind that. I'm saying their power five squad because they actually showed up to play. Like they showed up and said, Hey, Kansas State. You want to pay us $550,000 to beat beat you and way we get the Louisiana They pay them $350,000 to stomp a mudhole in the Iowa state and walked in dry. And I think about this from the standpoint of who actually want to play ball or who thought that they were just going to go get a win, because if you look at what Oklahoma did to Missouri State, you could see a somebody would actually want to win that game. And you look at what Texas did you touch somebody want to win that game, And now we got a rock a doodle performance coming our way with Coastal Carolina and Kansas in which Shanti clear she had declared being chanted. And now we got another big 12 thing That's about to go down to a Sunbelt een if things keep going, so I'm not exactly on board would saying that just because you have good athletes, you ought to be feast upper to your team, because that's just not the way it goes. I mean, we're watching Trevor large for reason. Like I don't want to put anybody on the spot. But you don't know who the starting quarterback is rapidly state. I'm not going actually just kind of have this rate anybody for that, But there's a reason for that. I stopped for Appalachian State because they do show up to play and I think everybody deserves the same opportunity to get beat to hell by Obama, because that's what would happen. Oh, yeah. No, no, I agree with you. I'm just saying, like We can't lose sight of you play for Louisiana. So doesn't mean you're a great you're not a great player Recruiting services can be wrong. I mean, how many stories have we seen of the three or two star recruits are coming out. I school that turned out to be great players and are playing in the NFL on Sundays on saying is, you know? Hey, maybe because the season is a very atypical season. It gives some of those smaller programs a little bit of a better chance early on in the year to compete with the bigger schools, But I'm with you. I'm not making an excuse for Iowa State. You can't lose that game at home and give the cheque. That's the double whammy right there. This good radio is presented by progressive insurance drivers who say with progressive save.

"Unmanned and probably have to be quite klay. Steve Fade Sauce. So that you you better diving in the it matters less and less that you have to either be able to fly to escape predators or the to be good at playing together and then you probably just get better and better at diving. Any flimflam that you would. WanNa debunk about penguins? You're so sick of. I'm really glad you defined Flimflam that lay full over when aircraft. Go ahead so no. They used to be no idea where it started. But yes they don't full over backwards and can't get up this Flimflam by the way it started a stories of Royal Air Force pilot swooping over the Falkland Islands and our Penguin Friends would stare up at them in crane their necks until the plopped backwards. So it was said now. This has been bird Laura for so long that one Penguin Dr Richard Stone finally flew aircraft over some King Penguins in south Georgia at various altitudes for five weeks and Nary a penguin toppled not one. They did run away and they seem irked understandably like can you not enough. What about movies with penguins? Do you have a favorite or any that are on your shit list? Yeah Really WanNa say no comment by also really want to say so Morgan. Freeman is one of my.

"Flipper on a very small. It's almost like a shark skin where they're trying to shed small voters as they don't get a Lotta drunk. It's like a one way some paper Kinda thing. Ooh Okay okay. I looked up photos. Opinion of others. Yes on the flippers. They're very little and they overlap kind of like roof tiles and then on the body there is some serious fluff under the shiny surface. So that's good keep out the chill maybe Serbs as padding for body tobogganing perhaps Sabina cured he wants to know do penguins release slide on the ice and Super Mario. I don't know what happens into Pomerania. I'm really sorry but do slide on the ice. They do they having fun neither usually season if they just need to get away foster. Or if it's really downhill I mean. They seem to prefer to woke. Unless it's really Hong going because the snow is actually quite coast rubs all the oil off their feathers. Ailey that means they gotta later in Royal. Okay I was like where are they getting? This oil probably BARF it up from krill pouch in their beautiful weird knicks. So I looked it up for us and thankfully it's just from agree spigot near there. But no biggie. It's at the base of their tail. It looks like a little fleshy knobby. Jobber it's called a Euro Piccio gland but if you're close pals please call it a preen gland. I'm waiting for some really stupid question from a friend. I'm positive Michelle Lee wants to know can penguins drink. Seawater is that how they stay hydrated also a the drinks and they have a gland. Just just been a bowl at the back of the bill a lot like kidneys. Basically functional Fed Drinking Water. So they.

"Natural habitat is totally different. So fake so please know some ground rules what is it. What is calling? How many will will kind of coalesced together? How many in tiny to spend depends on the species on where you are so Saudi On that kind of mainland continent of Antarctica the companies are actually often quite smaller so gently penguins dailies. They're often in colonies of about three five thousand with few exceptions. So when you get into the ROC- they can be a lot bigger they might be Several hundred thousand penguins on sea ice a very varied but yeah it could be anything from a couple of thousand two again. One hundred thousand could be as populous as the city of Boulder Colorado or even Vacaville or West Covina High West covina companies on our in the South Sandwich Islands. And those will they were. We haven't finished counting them recently. They were one point. Three million pairs not so lots of penguins and are you using drones and mathematical calculations to figure out how many are in these huge colonies. Everything we do is a mixture of I mean. We're always trying to push the tech to get something I mean. Basically always playing catch-up these colonies are too big that understudied and we want the answer fast enough to do something about usually declined. Yeah the the big thing is time cameras. Select records a year in the life of a colony and as many images as we can get we want to process so if we can take a photo every hour we get the timing of breeding and success and things like that if we can take a photo every minute during breeding season than we get feeding behavior foraging and all of that stuff which is not has not been possible on on the scale. We're talking about hundreds of colony simultaneously so yeah. We need a mixture of citizen science and machine learning so we need all the ai tools and crowdsourcing if we're ever going to do this always pushing things like joins With collaborators satellite imagery. Let's back up a minute. Let's just Waddell on backwards and now basic stupid questions about penguins. What exactly makes a bird of penguin will coming on stream in the monophyletic. Which means they they evolved once and then everything else has diversified within them. Oh so it's thought that penguins diverged from the ancestors of Albatross says and petrels seventy one million years ago. What does a petrol you're asking? It's a good question. I didn't know it's a tube nosed short winged seabird and if you squint at a picture of a petrol you can kind of see the resemblance to a penguin. It's kind of like looking at two brothers with wildly different haircuts and one of them can fly the penguins. Penguins you are. Great swimmers does not contest. What makes them a penguin intense? If you'RE GONNA describe admits quite a large seabird. Ciba's tend to be larger on average than other birds but launch and they don't have hollow bites so they won't by giving the ability to fly. They've become a lot more elaborate apted diving and swimming. That's also allowed defenders to change so those more about hydrodynamics and insulation obviously. Yeah there's a lot of cold adaptations by anatomically and behaviorally as well but one of the big things that people forget is just.

"There and there was a nineteen fifty nine and Arctic Treaty. It essentially said Hey. Nobody on says okay now. Parts of Antarctica. How can they get negative eighty nine degrees Celsius? That's negative one hundred twenty eight Fahrenheit and it's a polar desert it's blustery it's cold it's white. It's icy it's pristine. It's gorgeous now in terms of critters. You got your orcas he got some seals South Albatross. You've got some shrimp E. Little Krill Munchies. In the water and of course penguins now for Tom. Why Penguins. It wasn't really penguins. It was studying this other notion and trying to conserve it so if anything I was attracted to the treaty and the idea that no one talked Karen that if you could show what the problem was they had to fix it. That's a little bit naive with politics of it but still some trick you place where knowledge can make a real difference and taught to kind of distinguish between untucked during the southern section. Antarctica is different from the stereotype of just cold and windy a true but that it's incredibly diverse. No-one no-one goes to on top to cut knowing what it's like because although you say now on the telly it's vastly different from that and so everyone. Everyone goes to Antarctica with us with some kind of story about how they go but at the same time. No one knows what it's like until they they. What is it like going to study? Penguins like does a guy with a pipe and a wiry beard. Drop you off of a research vessel just like wider suckers C. Three months in a word. Now it would be a band season for us if we ended up in the same place for three months so we want to hit as many sites as possible. And that's how we change data and knowledge about Antarctica's by two cents going to a lot of different sites for very little and leaving things like time lapse cameras in there in place for a whole year that record. Oh year with us. Only there may be for three hours so now we still go places but largely some McCain dropped off somewhere for a few hours or a couple of days in the move. Don't like vary adventure. Science craves.

"So norlander at your player of the year ranking start with dukes I on Williamson, obviously. But number two right now, you've got grant Williams threatening us player of the year. And he got twenty three points nine rebounds in a win at South Carolina on Tuesday night and shells, Tom Hart who shouted out both Devon downing and Chester South Carolina on Tuesday nights, SEC network Braga. Tom the legend now forever, Terry Teagle, how much was that hard dropping Devon he Chester South Carolina shout out on the broadcast, Tom Hart. We hope this last think, you're listening. Thank you. If you can work went in one more time the season that'd be incredible. That was I wasn't. I had the game on, but I had the quad screen, and I didn't have the volume on that one. So I didn't hear it happened. But then obviously people it is up. And then our Kyle Boone actually captured the video and shared it. That was that was fantastic. That was that was a nice little surprise there. South carolina. Couldn't get it done against NC. Frankly, they needed Devon Downey on that floor last night. But but regardless and that was that was. Cool moment. And grant Williams continues his his strong case for player of the year. I think he has to be in anyone's top three at this moment. The game tip at five thirty central. So I was still in radio when it happens didn't hear it live either. But I started getting Twitter. It's about it instant. Moments after it happened in shelter. Cal for capturing chest Cupporter to were. Toco boom for capturing it in sitting it out into the social media world. Dave Pasch if you're listening you're now on the clock. Alarm bells shout out during an era Zona game ace Sant norlander. Grant williams. He's now averaging twenty point four point seven point, four rebounds, three point four assists. One point six blocks one point three steals in thirty one point four minutes per game for Tennessee team. That's nineteen and one ranked number one in the country. He is better. Statistically, speaking in basically, every way you measure things this season. And again, he was the SEC player of the year last season. So I don't wanna say anybody's got anything locked up in January, but I'll be shocked if he's not the SEC player of the year. Again, do give him a real chance to catch. Zion can anybody perhaps even Ethan hap- kits Zion in the player of the race? It's possible. I 'cause I don't wanna Heisman ourselves here. I feel college football media not all of them. But just a certain contention to point where when we hit mid October. It feels like a discussion point frequently maybe not annually the frequently where there's a particular player that seems like a foregone conclusion and. Then you fast forward to that. Whatever I first or second Saturday in December. And you see that in fact. No, it was it wasn't the play that we thought. So it's possible certainly possible. Because of the fact that RJ Barrett, I think would need to be on the top ten of any overall player of the year ranking list at this point. And if Zion still continues to be awesome. But RJ, you know, hits another level in terms of how much he scoring and maybe numbers trend back a little bit. They still votes from each other. Then opens the window for play grant Williams who is a parish. I'll say, this grit. William seems more of a lock to win player the air in his conference Zion. Does player the year nationally you look around at the rest of the league in even the Williams of similar to Williamson in that his own teammate, Admiral Scofield isn't lagging too far behind. I think what he is doing right now is grant Williams. What what he is doing is is so impressive. Tennessee is so good. And yes, I still gonna take another loss two maybe three before we get to the SEC tournament. But still I he's got a stranglehold on that you mentioned eastern hap-. He leads the courtroom. Port in that. Ethan hasn't been discussed as a player of the year candidate to this point. Maybe inside the borders that fame cheese state over there in the great midwest in our shouts to everyone. Listening to this podcast, enduring insanely, cold weather in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota wind chills approaching negative fifty and sixty degrees..

"Here. Here that you grown as man. You watch some of these moves that you can see as a kid and we're talking about the relationship between Eddie in and in venom in the movie, Tom Hart is character. But there's also another relationship in that movie which a lot of people thought might have been cool. That was the relationship between venom and another alien that was in the movie. They're going to one. They call riot. And some people even people who liked the movie, everybody has to on that. One thing that this is one of the dumbest and worst parts of the movie. Yeah. When these two alias start fighting each other, you can't even see what the hell is going on, and it doesn't even make sense how they're hurting each other. Does this they both goop. Yeah, it looked like somebody just a milkshake across. Yeah, it makes you cannot tell was going people say, you got the transformers effect with this face by, and you can't tell what's happening to bottles of ink exploded. Somebody shot it. Somebody just shut diarrhea right at this right here and look. That is why I want to talk about this particular movie that have coming up, which is nineteen eighty seven's the hidden. Now the hidden monument heard of this call McLachlan comic Lapland. Yeah, this the movie about two aliens that are going at each other. It's the whole film and what they do is they possess people's bodies and they just start chasing each other down throughout the city, causing chaos, possessing people, innocent people who just trying to go about the lies. One alien is just just a piece of shit and he's doing he's just earth to do one thing cause as much trouble and destruction as he can and have a good time doing it. Sound like a familiar care to you except here. I think you get that a little bit better than what we saw in that other aliens movie. I watched this. Jonathan Miller would never do anything to break the law. I need the keys. Thank you..

"He says too bad for them. They didn't get our rating though. Mike, Ryan. I'm fascinated have been the castings to know all the teams all there in a darker superhero movie, except Tom Hart who was basically remaking, Jim Carey's, liar, liar, kind of love watching the movie and a rocky hard type away. At one point, Tom hardy venom, they actually make out, does he see the movie. A lot of these people are saying they saw it in. Let me see here. I know what it means. Let me see. There's another one imparts the venom, Eddie Brock vibe in the movie venom reminded me of Audrey and Seymour too. Audrey to in a little shop. Lahar venom should be a musical. The people like. Venom should be a musical always question points in Hebron's with. I don't know why l. even tweet and we are not talking about. Venom is mostly found, but has a few moments of inspired comedy work from town, hardy. You know, some people just flat out if you go later on some people flat out saying it's, it's just not good. This one girl here the the moth mix as think Aflac dared the old ink. Anger Lee ho. They Holly bear cat woman. That's, I mean, that's all there really is to be said, I think. Ask what the bizarre, no tweet and they don't even know what the fuck. They could have a tweet like I don't know what the fuck on talking about sending fatty one. One do now. He knows he came in strong enough that you says, sorry to say venom, it's pretty much complete failure total mess. At least fifteen years old, ignoring the storytelling strides that the superheroes genre has made in recent years. A few fund Benham Centric moments aside. It has nearly nothing to offer. Don't get your hopes up. Now something he said in there. Takes me. I keep feeling every time I watch a trailer. Okay. What is is that it looks like it like like a superhero movies from fifteen years ago. That's what people saying they eat. Like the girl was the fused. She said she said, a cat woman daredevil, you You know, know. I'm not gonna say anything yet because I haven't seen it. Of course when they had these early screens, got that one. Then I'm one do right here. He's like, hey, there's one hopeful guy. They Hector. Oh. Heck, heck Navarro says Benham was surprisingly funny ahead of freaking great time watching it despite some problems. It did right. No man. It's, it's. It's awesome up until like five minutes into it very. But those those five minutes freaking us them. You did right BAAs main character. Eddie, Brock slash venom, people forget that he's always had a weird since human. The comics in that humor is fully on display in the movie two point. He put an example up there from from the comics. So I don't know. Maybe some people people missing the point. Maybe some people had their hopes up to two high. I don't know. I don't know. Joe gift at once. I'm good. Yeah, yeah. Was that they give wanting something good? Oh, yeah. Keep your down and you know, here's the other thing. You'll Never never. go up learned today. Just going like you just got your beat.
