Several of them expressed shock and anger at the released film when it changed title and actual the addition of nudity and sexual exploitation. My god. We'll have to talk about that. In depth this movie could have been called gratuitous nudity and that would have been another or just bubis boobs and maybe that's why i liked it so much as a kid because yeah. There's a lot of boobs. I watch this i on like regular. Tv like local television. i. I realized And it just had all of that stuff cut out of it and to be fair if you cut. I saw another donner today. And i only know to donner's the donner party and richard donner that directed that that's typical as i. I have no idea where i saw that. Did you realize that. Richard donner directed all of the lethal weapon movies. No i did not. I knew the first one but not all of them. That's interesting is he. Not in lethal weapon one now. Who is the who is kind of the big villain at the end of Why are we looking for. Weapon is christmas. It is the only thing. I remember that points to that. Is there like he's waving a gun around it like a christmas tree lot a you know about. I don't know what they mean. I think it opens with jingle bells. Yes that's right. Yeah because she snores too. Cocaine goes out on a ledge. And then that's the app and our audience will probably feel like snorting cocaine and diving off of a multi-storey motel building onto a car after this episode after being in a porno you. That's what this episode is gonna feel like because We are going to be kicking this off and true fashion. This might be a three hour episode. Now please my sanity well. My God, a sixth I'm exhausted already. Haven't even said what the name of the dam todd or the name of the movement whilst we are. So, let's get into it then finally. Okay. Buckled down and really really get the work done right So welcome to the moratorium. I'm your host Tim Cornerman. I like it when you put a little funk. There's not enough funk on this podcast. Your regular Cleveland little. And with me as always is. ME. Jason Walker you know who you sound like kind of Now, who do I sound like I? Mean you have the soul of Cleveland? Little. Boys of. deason. Exactly what I. WAS GONNA SAY Okay. So like back to what we were talking about the nineties I mean, this is okay. Wait a minute reading. The movie at sorry. That's how that's how. Alike Fuck Lymph Diane for all of his m completely confused this is a precursor to what the rest of the shows gotta be like. This. Disjointed double jointed yet. Give you a slight headache new listening to. Can Old Yoko Ono album or something? That's just noise. All right. Well, let's mention what movie are watching this week. This week. This is my suggestion that we watch the hidden. Nineteen eighty seven buddy cop. Alien before men in. Black. Scott Cow McLaughlin who is absolutely awesome Michael Nori. Kluger might make an appearance who knows he usually does. Lynn Shea is in a small role small because she's like four foot five. I was just looking at the alien nation was in eighty eight. So this came out before alien nation this came out before a lot of those I mean kind of similarly plotted. Things, but I think really this is a sci fi movie it just worked so well because. It's not very long. It's an hour a little over an hour and thirty minutes. Here's tons of action I. Mean like the last like thirty minutes of this movie everything is like exploding and. Guns everywhere. But I mean, you know I think the reason it stood out the reason I. liked it so much is because Comic Laughlin Michael have really good You know kind of back and forth buddy banter you know it's like tango and cash or something. I tried to find out I helped me somebody if they can give me this information how much money do they spend on the cars? Alah for sure I I didn't count but there's at least three Ferraris at least. was there a Lamborghini there's there's a guy in this later that will will kick him out. He's wearing a jacket says Lamborghini. You have the kind of Guy Yeah. That seen as crazy I. Love It. It's also like a body jumping movies. So I really enjoyed that part that it could be so many different you know. I don't know how to describe. His name.

This is where we break down the last week's film and follow the yarn to make the thinnest and slightest connection to our next movie. "Welcome to the yarn wall a mini moratorium. I'm your host Tim Cornerman on this episode. Jason and I take a long drunken dive into the depths of IMDB. This is where we break down the last week's film and follow the yarn to make the thinnest and slightest connection to our next movie. It's kind of like six degrees of Kevin Bacon game with slurred speech and Double Vision, which can only explain the sudden jump into the middle of the thread of the conversation that is the yarn wall. Alan Fudge alert. Looks, like an assassin. Backup dancer for. Everything explodes. I'm calling this Tuesday. Right we're live. Out My levels were good. Guy. I.

"Idea of ask two thousand. came out 'cause i. hear something from the Eighties. Pay comes right up into the nineties probably could name you know anything after two thousand and it's just like. Now makes no sense to me like I get you. In the two thousand be no. Right. Exactly. We're just to that age where. Only. Nostalgic eighties and early nineties means anything to us. Well. We're trip into the early eighties today. I really enjoyed it. Maybe I know. You've never seen this. Wow. Entirety so I watched it on Amazon and. On Youtube or Amazon Amazon. You WanNa talk about this now or do you have other stuff 'cause I'm ready to. There's one thing I want to bring up. Welcome to the moratorium. Your host Tim cornermen. And with me as always is. Merigo bats what I wanna Galloway now onto what the fuck we were just talking dark night of the scarecrow. Was that was that where you're Goin'? During the day. But it was a day for night sequenced. At hand like transfer remastered or I. Don't know I hope he knows something about the TV part of this because. I want to know under what circumstances tangled up. Versus the still our audience that they can watch it on Amazon prime and it is also on Youtube. We'll put a link up on our website. That's right. The Moratorium Dot Com I just watched an interview with the writer Jaydee Fagel Ston Fingleton. Beagles, he said his name and I still can't get it right I'll put a link up to this on on our facebook page as well but it was very interesting when he started writing a script for this, he wrote a script with horror in mind and he said it just totally sucked. He liked the idea of a scarecrow. He had that you know a couple were trying to renovate a home and attached to it was this evil scarecrow? He said he hated it. So while he was trying to write the script, he became friends with Ray Bradbury and he calls him his mentor and they. he wrote a first draft of the script and he senate to Bradberry and it came back within a week end. It was just marked up in red. And I think data conversation with like how am I supposed to make this a better film? He's like well, just. It'll come to just keep trying he said over the course of about eight months and many many rewrites. He finally gave it to to Bradbury and Bradbury said, yes, you're finished now came back with no marks on it. They sold the script to CBS this was made for TV. Through CBS on one of their late night things and he said in one, thousand, nine, hundred, eighty, one at they aired it right around Halloween. And I remember watching this on TV when I was growing up. And being like a little kid and you can see why like the left subject I you know this is. Love this. Stuff. There's not a lot of blood in it. Very little blood on screen. All implied I can't wait to talk about one particular death but. Have at least one thing that's just is just a laughable thing is kind of. Like, okay, we're GONNA keep that. Are you want to shoot again? And it's a, there's an instant pallet cleanser at the end. I.

"One of them was called this love of mine and another one which is on youtube you can look at it. I won't called I've grown accustomed to her face. Such jazz hits Danny droppers, all of them. Aren't you better person now and I know. Be Harder to sleep tonight. We'll have to do a different podcast where we guests actors a game show. What has he done before? Right or? Are they dead or alive or? Dead or alive. You absolutely can't. Fathom that this person would still be alive and they really are and tune in next week for dead or alive bad at bent down. Let's call it. The cocoon cast. Cocoon should we actually say who we are and what we're doing share just as a it's a formality. Yes. To create kind of a structure to build the pond. All right. So welcome to the moratorium. Thank you. I'm partly your host Tim cornermen and on partly the other host Jason Walker. Just watching some weird movies over here and this one's a gooden and I chose this one because I I wanted to see it and I've never seen it before oh interesting and I need to see it many more times and fewer times than already have well. To tell you I have seen this movie multiple times and it doesn't get any. Easier to understand. There's a lot of things at play especially with the opening segment William Peter. Blatty was really like in the some Hetty hetty stuff I think he had to be Jus- coked up I'm sure that's part of it. You do know that he is in the movie right? Is He? I did not realize that. Yeah. The ninth configuration it's William Peter Blatty after the exorcist pretty quickly off the hills of the exorcist wasn't it? Yes. He was the writer director and producer of this movie. So and this is also adapted from a book that he wrote called Twinkle twinkle. Killer Kane with an exclamation. It is hard to say when you're on the spot twinkle twinkle killer, Kane. I'm so glad that they turned into the ninth configuration. As they really silly tidal I told you. I've read it a couple of times like a novella. You know it's like short basically, and is it close to this This is like singularly is vision and the movie is very much exactly. What the book is did they break down the characters as well as they did in you mean establishing just right Stacy Keach and Scott Wilson. Yeah. Basically, that's how it happened. This movie does have a kind of twist at the end. You know wouldn't you say it's kind of that's what the whole movie is building towards is kind of the twist at the end. Sure. That's kind of what I remember from watching it when it came on HBO or something late at night was that kind of Shamlan. Switcheroo at the end..
