Golf. The star dot com Play better golf segment swing doctor. I don't know. You kind of turned me on to the to the Hogan teaching methods, So I've been going online and watching videos off other teaching professionals analyzing Hogan's Mr Hogan's Swing. And several of them pointed out that his hands were quite high at the end of his through swing. Why is that? And what's the most important element off finishing that through swing? And all these videos you've been watching. Have you found the hogan secret yet? Tell us about that. I'm not sure. I know. Nobody knows. Yeah, I guess I guess I have not in the case. I think he let everybody think there was a secret. They will spend all their time looking for his secret instead of worrying about how they played, and it gave him an advantage, But Anyway, His swing was considered flat by many now flat, meaning that the club was more behind his head, rather than above his head. I simply feel it was more connected than anybody else was. But however, from this position, he turned his hips back to the target, and when he started back to the ball, he he was a big proponent of starting his through swing. By turning his hips back toward the back, could the ball back toward the target? And he did not feel that you could do this too fast. I mean it fast. You did it, The faster the club ended up moving in his swing anyway. To initiate the through swing. I mean, he dropped the club into that hitting position, and then he released the right side hard and fast through the ball. I mean the entire right side. The right side explosion an extension lead to a very high finish with his right arm straightened after impact. If you're a proponent of the book Phase one A one paragraph one last sentence. His bars power is concerned. I wish I had three right hands. Remember also that Everything Mr Hogan did was to prevent the hook. A lot of people get on the wrong track with this book. I mean, if you're if you're a slicer of the Hogan book isn't really something that you need to get into too deeply because his his was an anti hook. Swing. And the high finish with hands helped him to ensure Straight or slightly left to right ball flight. I mean, so make sure to fire that right side through the ball and finished with your hands high. That's that's That's a good secret that I got from Mr Hogan. But his his hip turn was the was the thing that that was the engine for his entire swing. He got it up to the top. And then ripped. I mean, ripped those hips. And coarse. His hips were 32 inches to my right my mind like that is overworked. Well, ah, well, it's interesting that one of the other observations that made was that at the top of his swing his hands at high one armed. Stop moving to the club. Stop moving to. He wasn't a guy that dip his club at the end of his swing by his back. He can't held it out there a little bit. And in one of the comparisons was Tiger Woods. We first came on tour Did the exact same thing anyway. Michael in your instruction bag. You keep a tennis racket. Tell us why. And tell us what you tell us. Why many players have the problem. You're trying to correct By using a demonstration with the tennis racket Well, it can be used a couple couple different ways Number one. When I hand somebody the tennis racket they reach out with their dominant hand. If you're right handed golfer most of the time. It's the right hand. So when they reach out with their with their hand with the right hand and they grab it, I'm like, okay. How does that feel in there like feels fine wine like, Well, that's how you should be holding your golf club. Now, as opposed to being way underneath the handle our way on top of it when they when they grip. It's the number one. It can kind of help fix their grip a little bit. Number two. They can really see the face of the racket and see that it's square and I said, Okay, if you were playing tennis or playing Ping Pong we can use a Ping Pong paddle is well with it. How would you put backspin on it, too? You know, to get it to back up for the spin backwards a little bit and they show me and I'm like, okay, and they show it right in front of me, I said, now put it down the angle of a golf club, and they're like, Oh, that's why I slice it like right now, How would you put some top spit on it? And then they show they rotate their forearm, so it shows him the proper rotation of their forearms. To feel it. Then we can put a golf club on the end of it or hold a golf club at the same time, and then they can see the face of the golf club rotate as well. And now they can feel it a little bit better. So now when they start to swing the golf club, they understand a little bit more. Of the rotation of it as well. It's servant illustration of the relationship between your palm of your dominant hand and the club face pretty much, which is really interesting because after you told me about this, and I was on the practice range, a cz hitting balls that were kind of intentional, not intentionally fading. Just a little bit of the end going. I must be cutting underneath. And sure enough, that's exactly what I was doing it fractionally, but But noticeably great tips. Guys. Thanks very much world of golf segments coming up next on the swing Doctor Newstalk, 11 30. If one carwash charge twice as much, and another charged three times with the best car wash charged you'd never experienced their car washes. If one gas station charge twice.
Los Angeles Dodgers Pitcher David Price Says He Won’t Play In 2020 Due To Pandemic
"Pitcher David Price will not play this season because of concerns over the Corona virus pandemic. The five time All Star became the latest player to opt out, posting Saturday on Twitter that he wouldn't take part. In the 60 game season, scheduled to begin on July 23rd. His announcement comes a day after Angel Storm Mike Trout said he was not comfortable with the current climate and might not play trout on why, with a child on the way he has for now. Decided to come to camp and play. We want to play. It's gonna come down to how safe we're gonna be. If there's an outbreak, er something happens in the next few weeks. He definitely got it. I got it. I got it reconsider. You know, it's just there's a lot of questions I gotta do. Obviously, they saw I love baseball, but I gotta do is right for my family. Sometimes, you know, Majority Tiger, do everything with my family. You know, it's going to be tough decision. If something happens up down the road and like price, Braves right hander Felix Hernandez has opted out of the MLB. A season for the same reason.
Could 60 Games Mean a Bad Team From Last Year Will Be Your 2020 World Series Champion?
"What to expect with baseball's return, and that's where I start okay. Baseball's back and you are what you are angry. It took this long fair. You're indifferent because you already hated it or I guess that's really in different. If you hate the game and you don't care, it's even coming back and you just made fun of it the whole time during this public display of not being able to figure out okay I. Get that one, too, but there's probably a lot of us is gonNA. Throw it on now. The problem is baseball should have been back before. Let's say what a week before the NBA. NBA gets to sing rolling and I don't know how much crossover there is between NBA and baseball fan I'd imagine there's probably more crossover between the NFL and the NBA Fan, but who cares whatever we got this thing back and I. Still Really like baseball and I always thought it was going to happen. There's a specific reason. Why was finally work out? No matter what version of what we have get to that and a little bit because there was a couple of reporters that we're actually seeing like as it's probably over probably doomed. Okay then it's definitely coming back now. Because remember the rules when you're on television, it sounds a lot better. If you're an opinion, person sports saying it's the death of baseball, and I'm now going to write the verbal obituary in. It's never coming back. WHOA, that's a good clip makes a really good video. Good sound bite. Let's play that on the radio. Show a little bit later today, or you could be on the desk and say. They'll probably figure it out, and that's not as exciting, but it's the accurate on the. I would say. It's the lane that I've been in this entire time, so let's take a close. Look at what we have. 'cause look out, folks I the Internet last night and I looked up some baseball stuff. We got sixty games normal playoffs. Thank God good on that a little bit later. But what is sixty games me? Baseball's weird. You can have bad teams. Put together a decent sixty games and could team go forty and twenty. Sure, but I think a Lotta. These teams are going to be right around five, hundred, thirty, five, twenty five, and then you're going link. Think how little! The discrepancy could be look at how the playoff chase ends now in September with the advancement of you know the different kind of playoff alignments they have and I don't like some of the extra game stuff, but it all has been really really exciting. The last few years of what we've seen in more than last five years of what we've gotten out of the baseball plaster incredible incredible. Scenes, finishes and all sorts of drama. In scares me a little bit that the product has been great in the postseason, and if not really helping the rest of the months, but if you look at and I did this I look back at some of the worst teams in baseball interlock. Place all right Toronto Toronto. At one point was twenty nine and fifty two, and then they went twenty, two and twenty over forty two game stretch. That's a sixty seven. When teen played two games over five hundred for Forty Games San Francisco. You Ask all right here. You Go last year twenty six and thirty eight at one point, and then ended up at fifty, five and fifty three, so they want on that Mastro. That's a forty four game stretch were San. Francisco played twenty nine. Nine and fifteen baseball they were a seventy seven and eighty-five team, but more folks I tried the best I could find from their stretches, fourteen and thirteen. That was an awful awful baseball team. Remember Seattle last year against smaller sample. They started the year thirteen and to remember although Seattle tweets they were twenty, five and thirty five, and that was a bad baseball team. How about this one? Miami was ten thirty one on May Fifteenth, then they stretched it to forty one in sixty three. That's a bad baseball team that from Miami. That's a bad baseball team. That from the middle of May to the end July played thirty one and thirty two baseball. That's crazy, and then you have Detroit. Who was actually eighteen and twenty, and if you forgot how many games Detroit one last year I don't blame you because I did to the Tigers in forty seven games and I couldn't find anything that was thirty and thirty over sixty game stretch, but over forty they were two games under five hundred, so we could have some really weird stuff. Now you could have a cy young winner be six and four. You could have with the second base being occupied an extra inning games. The unintended part of that is we could just have a walk fest, and all these extra things, but I'm not sitting here clamoring for. For more extra innings, even though I used to like it when I watch the Games, I can also understand that basically these managers now don't even WanNa. Play them because they'd rather not burn out there. They'd rather take the loss that day. Burn out their arms for an entire week. At least that's what they tell us. All the time is somebody hits four hundred. No, thank you by the way nobody's hit three fifty cents Josh Hamilton like ten years ago. We've had four years over the past four years. Excuse me, five hitters have hit twenty home runs over the first sixty games, so look at maybe twenty. Twenty being. You're leading home run number, and there's all sorts of other things how you're gonNA. Use Your roster with thirty, two twenty eight to twenty six. You'RE GONNA. Call up different players, and how you're gonNA use your
Tightening your belt? How to decide which streaming TV service to cancel.
"With me, senior editor Shelby Brown who was a nice run down to the various streaming services out there, and why should drop each one of them? Thanks for joining me shelby. Thanks for having me again so before we get into the different services We can get the details in a bit Do you have any general suggestions for how you would approach things when you know balancing your budget with all these various streaming services because? For a lot of people, there are different shows that we like. Those shows are found on different services. So there's no. There's no one size fits all options. So, what would you suggest a folks? Generally looking at this landscape. I. Definitely examined why you want that service Aaron. What's appealing to you about that service Lake I had to stop myself from immediately subscribing to HBO. Max Number One just because of the giant explosion of publicity around it when it first came out and kind of the the foam. Oh the fear of missing out I think that can be a big drought services. Especially the new wines I can imagine. That's GONNA. Be when peacock comes out. They'll be a huge drama that 'cause It's new and attractive, but with HBO Max I wanted to subscribe to it. Because, I immediately fell in love with their classic films collection, but I have to ask myself if that's all that I am going to watch, there is always stat worth my money so i. think that that's a question that you should ask yourself before you subscribe to something Dutch. I think that's a that's a good concept to keep in. Mind is considering there are only so many hours in the day and so much time we have to watch stuff so even if in principle it's something you WanNa. have access to your right. It may not be something you'd necessarily need. so let's let's. Let's run through the different service. Let's start with the granddaddy of the mall in the one that is basically ubiquitous, and that's net flicks. It almost is it conceivable to drop athletes. Are there reasons why you'd WanNa? Drop this service on. I think that Netflix's kind've where we started with that. You know binging idea, and whether actively watching it or it's just on for background noise of course there are Netflix's originals which typically Garner a lot of buzz on social media like tiger king came out recently so mostly I think if you're not interested in staying on top of new shows, Netflix's might not be for you or watching the old classics like the Office or Parks and recreation or win. Friends was on there before Hbo Max. And, some of those shows have disappeared from Netflix so that you Kinda lose access to some of that old library. Right All right well, what about Disney plus? As simple as it sounds. I think you should access me, plus you're not into Disney or marvel. Disney plus is a mistrial Jake ride with the vaulted films and the Disney channel original movies from the late nineties early two thousands, and the Buzzword, the original shows Lake Amanda Laurean and the Star Wars films again the marvel films, but again if you're not a fan of the Disney or the marble films, you might not want to invest Disney plus. That's the thing. There could be something he said about subscribing to the services. Timed with shows. You love right like what we know. The mental Lawrence coming back with. Subscribe to it for Laurie Withdraw Fortunately for one of the for these services, there are like cancellation fees. It's not as sticky as it used to be with cable service. You can hop on hop off and that's that that's a good benefit. You can sort of time out if you really want to be strategic about it. These different services right and we've seen those trends win. Game of thrones was on with with HBO. We would see the spike in the viewership. Go up right before the season started, and then we would see plummet after this season would go off so. That and as transition HBO match what? Why would you WANNA keep. Why would you WANNA trump? Hbo Max Hbo Max Really came out swinging at lines with a huge catalog. Of TV shows movies. Its price is on the higher side though compared to other services. It's fifteen dollars a month. so I win necessarily invest in Matt if you're looking for more budget, friendly option an. An Hbo Max Might Not Be the one that you want to subscribe to. Because you can't stream HDR, yet or on Roku or Amazon devices, but it's still new, so that could change in a couple of months or next year. The Amazon Prime Video Amazon. Prime video is kind of a two for one because you get the discount with ecommerce site as well. The platform more centered around movies that you can rent by watch for free but the service definitely puts a focus on its original shows like flea, bad marvelous Mazel and modern love, so if you're more fan of mainstream TV shows, you might WanNa drop trends at you. This is like the one that is kind of default to your point. Right like I am a prime member because I did the shipping services and the videos Kevin Extra. About who is probably one of the more pure play, TB streaming services out there I. who if you don't care about keeping up with? The current mainstream shows one of my favorite parts about the service is. how quickly uploads new episodes after the air on cable, but you can also get the live TV plan for fifty five dollars a month that acts like a capable replacement to watch shows in real time. A downside to that for example, if you wanted to catch up on all the seasons of Grey's anatomy, only season sixteen available on Hulu whereas all the seasons are available on Netflix, so that's kind of a catch, and then lastly apple. TV Plus Apple TV plus has a lot of original shows that were a significant drought of the service like the morning show and. You can like all your streaming services to your apple TV apple TV plus doesn't have a library of license chosen movies. It all so doesn't always release full seasons of shows at one. So, J, if none of the new shows clear interest after the fruit trial. Don't keep it. I subscribed to TV plus for the free trial and watched the servant. I thought it was really good. I'm probably will pick it back up when a second season comes out, so that's always option.

Will Brinson on the PGA Tour
"Well with the PGA tour. Starting tomorrow wanted to bring on. My Guy Will Brinson as promised at will Brinson on twitter. He's host of the pick. Six podcast I've been on that. It's an excellent show. I enjoy it tremendously, but he also is really into Goff. He's really into baseball. Is really you know a lot of things before we get to the PGA tour or golf? Stuff will let me just ask you this. The I don't remember what it was called, but Tiger Woods Phil Mickelson you know. peyton manning Tom Brady. The ratings that did and the money that it generated I. Guess my first reaction was how much of that is because it's the only thing going on during the virus, and how much of it is because people thought it was cool. Just Watch one group of. Football players and a couple guys go like I. You know I almost thought of like if I'm tiger woods and Phil Mickelson like, why do I need to play these other events like every like three or four times a year? Get a couple, musicians, or you know movie, stars or athletes do one of these deals and a boatload of money from it. Yeah I mean I think. The ratings are definitely Ross a result of the pandemic to to a larger extent I. Mean Look at you know even like. The the last dance was awesome, and it was absolutely must watch television, but the ratings were not. I don't think like real last dance ratings if we actually have sports going on, we're not all sort of cooped up in the house so I i. think that does make a difference. People are itching for some real sports, but yeah, we look you're talking about putting four of the biggest sole celebrity athletes on the planet in a in a in a golf match. People are going to be interesting to see what happens. so so from that perspective I think it's something that that those guys will do more of and let's not forget I. Mean for all the you know the ribbing and like Oh like look who want etcetera etcetera. These guys are pocketing huge piles of cash, and so a lot of you raised a lot of money for charity, too, but I mean these guys are pocketing here's pile huge piles of cash when they do an event like this, this is not a not entirely out of the goodwill of their of their generous hearts. Did you. Bet on it will, and did you. Did you love it? I was I was actually. I missed the early part of it because I was actually playing golf myself. We can play golf in north. Carolina. and I didn't bet on it. Because I was I like. I didn't think there was enough value in the favorites if I if I didn't sitting at my computer and watching the the first part of probably prop bets Anything A. full-blown degenerate, but just because I was playing golf and didn't have the early part. and I didn't like the I like I like the I thought the favorites. The. Phase GonNa win. And but I, I thought that the best value was on the dog, and so I didn't I I. It was like a tough spot for me. I didn't love the price on it, and so I figured out playing golf myself. Maybe just stay away on this one. It's actually rare thing I'd bet on oddly enough. Steve I'm curious I didn't even ask you. Did you watch that? Did you get involved in it at all, did you? Did you like it? Do you think it could be sort of the future for Golfer? At least more have more of them in the future for golf? What about four holes do some strong opinions about? This golf is horribly flawed right now because the players are boring. And Dairy. I just I can't watch golf all the players. Basically I have no interest other than tiger woods. Who I like following because he has a personality, shows emotion and I think that that what really stood out how great that exhibition was is with you, know Phil, needling tiger back and forth, and and the like, and you know Brady struggling big time early. It was just it was riveting I. Think I would have watched it. had been full sports on and I. Don't watch golf because I'm I. I'm sorry I'm just bored in terms of betting. I'll tell you this. Thank goodness. There was no live betting that I saw on this event because after six holes when woods and manning up three, I was convinced they were GonNa win by seven. This was going to be one of the. The greatest blow outs of all time. It's woods home. Course he's hitting. Every fairway and Brady can't play a lick so I guess a little warning and live betting things can change because obviously, this match got very close at the end,

The Craigslist Photographer Returns With a Report
"Hustle is over ACIS photography, and I was featured in a really early episode episode number nine. The way started with the side, hustles I always a visual person and I've always enjoyed the arts, and in doing the tiger free, since I was really young and over the years. When you're young, you're still learning photography and you start off in the days, and you don't have a job to pay the bill you basically just. kind of stopped, but then what happened with this particular side Hustle in college, a gained the reputation, being known as the guy with the camera, and in my senior year I got asked by a friend to photograph for wedding, and so I said yes. At that time. I didn't really know it didn't even start doing any waiting at that point, but I knew I was excited to try. and. When I kinda sat down, and excitement stopped the realization of all. My Gosh I'm a photograph. My friend's wedding and I've never done this before, so instead of calling my friends saying. Hey, I don't think I can do it. I decided to go with it and I made a post on craigslist, saying hey, I am starting autocracy and any writing the groom's that are looking for Harper, an inexpensive dog of her, and suppose it up on craigslist, and a couple of days later got a reply and bride and groom hired me really quickly off craigslist I still have the day job and I'm still loving. This stay job up to this point just celebrated my twelfth year employment with my current employer so I'm really happy with that, so I I am still a civil engineer and still loving it to this day sense being featured on the show, a lot of things said change in. With the weddings I've slightly increase my prices from the thirty five hundred one. I did the episode to just about a little bit over four thousand at this point, and that was primarily because I started getting a little bit more business, but then I also wanted to concentrate on other parts of the business, and so I thought okay. Let me raise my prices. Maybe they'll slow it down. It did slow it down to a point where I could start. Investing more time in other parts of the business, and so now I am dependent on what hat I'm wearing. I'm either still a wedding photographer, and that's usually primary marks through September, and then throughout the year I can either be doing commissions for landscape, and now with the newest thing with architecture. I'm slowly getting into trying to work with architects and engineers on photographing. Photographing their projects for anyone wanting to start their business, the most important aspect is know how to use camera because the thing is as photographers were basically trying to problem-solver, trying to capture an image given the conditions whether it's like conditions, weather and you are being paid to photograph that given whatever it is. I mean sometimes. It is going to be your call. Hey I cannot get that shot for you today because of a B and C and if you don't know to use your camera, you can't tell your client confidently that you can't make that happen. And you know lastly the best thing that anyone can ever do as the target for is just go out photograph every day. you know practice that skill set because there's always a lot of new technology and all the techniques. There was no one way to get an image. There's multiple routes to do it so always trying to keep fresh with your skill set, and understanding how things go and evolving I think that helps you start off in that business. Well, there are a lot of photographers out there a lot of them who are struggling trying to get their first clients and such. If. That's you if you know somebody, you want to go back and listen to Oliver's original story. If you missed it. Basically, he offered to do his first gigs to strangers on craigslist for a very low amount of money

The most important job you'll ever have as a leader.
"For this talent Tuesday episode I WanNa, talk about the most important role. You'll ever have as a leader. This last week is one. We'll all remember for the rest of our lives. I saw tweet yesterday. That was an attempt at humor it read. Can we go back to the tiger? Kings slash stimulus check part of quarantine. Because now it's just getting dark. And I suddenly felt like the last two months of being hunkered down in my house, dealing with the pandemic was somehow ancient history. Many people just feeling comfortable inserting themselves back into the lives they left behind and twenty twenty. Let us know that it more in store for us. Back in December you know way back six months ago when the entire planet was different, the rent and I discussed the five most viewed leadership videos on Youtube. We got a lot of great feedback from that series. In the events of the last week of reminded me of something incredibly profound something. I'm processing with different eyes than the ones I initially used to make that episode. The second episode of that series was about the interview of Oprah Winfrey by the Stanford Graduate School of business. I re watched that video today, and then I re listened to the episode from December ninth, and the parts for me back then is still the part that stands out today, possibly even more so. The interviewer reads oprah quote from a previous interview. She did and asked her about it. The quotas I've talked to nearly thirty thousand people on my show, and they all have one thing in common. They all wanted validation. I would tell you that every single person. You'll ever meet shares that common desire. This is still one of the most true statements I've ever read I believe it's an inherent part of the human condition, and I believe long-term lack of it leads to a mint psychological trauma. And if you think I'm being dramatic, look at the hundreds of thousands of people who just had the final straw placed on their proverbial camel's back. If, you look at the cultural rise of social media, beginning around two thousand five with a tipping point of my space, going all the way today, the popularity of Tiktok Instagram, you'll see the same thing, no matter when you look billions of people who want desperately to have their voices heard to make some kind of mark on humanity. To feel validated. When it comes to the psychological and emotional needs, if human beings validation is really close to the top. So, what is validation? I'm sure you will kind of know what it is meaning. You describe how it feels, or what actions are required to get it, but at its core to validate something means to prove that it's based on truth or fact, so developed a person means to provide credible assurance of their identity and their feelings. And I WANNA be clear. This is not the same thing as empathy showing empathy alone. Only tell someone you can relate to how they're feeling, but it doesn't necessarily validate those feelings objectively true. The first after this process validation is to amplify another person's voice so that others might hear it, too. And, if you're a good leader, I promise this something. You already do all the time. Think about the last time you were giving Kudos from your boss on an assignment on performance and your response was something like Hey. I really appreciate that, but it didn't do much. Jerry was the one who closed that huge sale. Melissa made sure everyone on the team was trained in the new process and Lindsey Project managed the whole thing she been asking for more responsibility. I thought she was ready. Clearly, she didn't disappoint. If, you've had an interaction similar to this. You're already acutely aware of the importance of elevating others of redirecting the spotlight from yourself. This process is the process of allegation. They did the work, but you gave it credibility. and Mrs why this is the most important royal ever have as a leader because people aren't capable of valid themselves. Might have large if you go where they think they can, but it's superficial, and it's fleeting because we're social creatures, so it's not until others come along and support that a person is capable of feeling truly valid.

There was this intense relief and a certain I wanted to jump up and do a high five but our domestic cat just isn't very good at doing that. Instead he called Carol at the Sanctuary Howie and Susan. I think and I had written up a press release in expectation that that would be the case. We didn't write up one four if he if he won. "One day in February Joe returned from a court hearing in Tampa looking frazzled. I would say almost defeated. Look Mad. He's really mad. After two years. The lawsuit with the BASKINS was finally over. He'd lost Joe. Exotic has agreed to pay a Florida. Animal Sanctuary nearly one million dollars. She got a judgement Unfortunately it was. It was the day before we were supposed to see a jury. You know the Saying that you get your being for I don't feel. We got her day in court in truth. Joe have been drowning in lawyer's fees so he agreed to an amount. The judge decided was fair. She says his lawyers talked him into it. Once he found out they lost he. Just Kinda like thought. Everything was over. What's he gonNa do now and was going to happen with the Park to David? Things seem to be spiraling out of control but what bothered him. Most were the house cats. One day he noticed about a dozen or more of them in a small cage beside a fence. So I asked Joe with this was going on. He said well what he's doing. His rescuing domestic cats if people were dropping off to the park as the weeks went by the Katherine neglected and I pushed him about it. And I was like you know I was like dude. These cats are like you know just some pregnant ones over there dying. They have no food there in the sun. He had no shelter nothing. I could not believe these cats are being tortured like this and then eventually told me he goes well actually being held there because there are food for the reptile house. Joe's plan according to David was to starve the cats down until they were sluggish. And then feed them to the snakes. David had seen enough in the last year. She told Joe he was done. I kept telling some quitting I was like I can't handle this shit. This is crazy. You know what I mean. According to David Joe pulled out a pistol and aimed at him and said I ain't leaving nowhere lie. I'm not leaving nowhere and SPA and to stop talking So I stopped talking. I didn't go nowhere so at that point. This is what I saw right now after that I am GonNa shut up. I'M GONNA I'm not gonNA talk about it. No more really act like everything's Hunky Dory so I can I knew I had to use my smarts to get out of it. Joe Denies This. He insists he's never pulled his gun on anyone. David began secretly moving his things out of the zoo to an apartment he had rented in town. He was planning to make his exit quietly over several weeks. Meanwhile he kept his eye on the house. Cats the ones Joe is going to feed to the snakes by this time they had all been crammed into a single dog crate now when David checked on them. She was horrified by what he saw. Three were visibly pregnant. All of them were ragged and panting in the heat and actually thought it was assigned from the Universe. That now is the time does cast searcy would not have made it another day and it's going to be my fault because I'm too chicken. Shit Dadang get out of there. So David Hopton White Ford van from the zoo grabbed the dog. Kennel full of cats and loaded them into the back. Without saying a word she sped off and I was scared I was scared dot because I just know that I'm like I can't even go near that nothing else. I thought it'd be napped or something. Then I'll be agro-food two months later. David sat down to make another video. But this time he was in front of the camera video the feel of a deposition. The edited version is more than an hour long. I was given the a photo of what was it. You somebody holding up rabbits. They looked like dead rabbits. David had on a white button-down shirt. It looked worn out with behind. The camera is Howard Baskin. After leaving the Zoo David had contacted big cat rescue and told Caroline Howard everything they kind of kicked into action right away and paid folks fence paid for me to get back and I thought that she had a right to know what's up what I knew so the deal so to speak isn't offering I would go to Florida. I meet with them and then I would go to. Pittsburgh even met with them at their sanctuary and agreed to record an interview for evidence. All the cubs were always suffering from ringworm. All of them and now nutrition. Exa- I've never seen it cut without because he's bald spots all over they also help David draft a letter to the. Usda complaining of the Animal Abuse. He'd seen it. Joe Zoo I am a former employee of GW excite again will park in Winnie would Oklahoma. I would like to share with you. My experience in hopes that you will take steps to stop the mistreatment of animals there. He and Carol even briefly teamed up and created their own web show. Hello everyone and welcome to the cat chat. Show My Name Is David Lee Stanton your host and please help me make welcome. The other host. Carol Baskin off on Tampa Florida there. She is as beautiful as can be for so long. David listened to Joe Rant about how carol was evil and manipulative but now he started to realize that maybe he had wrong. They're both at fault for letting it get this far. But I think they they both twisted way US each other. Every leader needs a needs nemesis. And he is heard Nemesis and you know what I mean. That's why she goes after him back. In Oklahoma Joe was left without a TV producer and with renewed feeling that everyone was out to get herald only paid people to spy income in our organization and then she hired the David Guy Out hundred of provisions. He may lost David but he still had the TV studio in. That would come in handy for the next stage of his plan. Reality Television Joe Exotic was going to become a star.

You Slippery Joe was always changing his name sometimes he joe exotic other times. He was Aaron Alex Other Times. He went by Cudi Ryan. He changed the name of his touring company continuously as well. There were times when he would kind of fall off my radar and I wouldn't know what state he was in or which mall he might be at at one point. We actually hired a man to follow Joe's truck from city to the next city and just we came up with really creative ways to try to figure out where he was going next. She used a fake profile to keep tabs on his facebook page. Sometimes mall managers looking to re book. Joe COBB heading toward recalled. Big Cat rescue by mistake and she would talk them out of him whenever she located. Joe's next shopping mall. She would send out an alert to all of big cat. Rescues followers online asking them to voice their concern. The emails would go directly to the people at the mall the people at the JC Penney's for example and they could easily get one hundred five hundred thousand emails within a day from people. Saying you know I love big cats. I don't want them see exploited and shopping malls and sometimes people at the malls. They would call me and they would be like you know you've crashed my system. I agree we'll never have cubs again. Stop just stop. She had some help. There are a lot of followers around the country. Who'd heard about Joe's cub heading operations and also wanted to see him brought down? They would show up at the shopping. Malls were Jewish touring and take videos of the conditions and they managed to get reporters interested. This isn't a zoo. These adorable tigers are caged up at a mall. Where between Christmas shopping people can pay to get their pictures taken with that but the eight week Old Cup. I got to pet was obviously sick and barely moved during our visit. Another cub on display was missing a patch of fur and clearly. Not Have these habits photo taken inside edition which on the spot about his ongoing run inside. Government inspectors pay twenty five thousand dollars in fines. You've had twenty three Rd. Your Tigers dive. Do you think that you're responsible owner of tigers? I damn sure do when Howard Baskin hired Susan. He'd set a clear goal. He calculated in order to make it worth the time and effort. They had to convince a dozen shopping malls to cancel on. Joe There was one mall conglomerate. I believe they owned over seventy malls so when they basically signed on with us. That was a huge win. And we've you know. Wow we're like over one hundred malls in one year so we did far exceed whatever goals Howard had sat then towards the end of two thousand eleven. Susan got a message from a young woman in Michigan who had learned mauling grand rapids was planning to host Joe's road show. It was scheduled for the weeks leading up to Christmas. The busiest time of the year and at Davos is ill thinking of those cubs being held and petted in product in woken up and and not fed properly for all that time in this shopping mall. This woman said she was planning to stage a protest. She'd already begun making picket signs. That read stop tiger cub abuse and tiger cubs. Don't belong in malls and I said I will help. Spread the word to our supporters that this protest is going to be happening and all of a sudden you know. We had like seventy ninety. One hundred people signed up for this protests. The following Saturday Susan booked a flight to Michigan. She wanted to attend the protesters self and to finally see the man she even hunting for the past year. She packed her bags and headed to the airport and she was just getting ready to border flight when she got a call from a reporter in Michigan he said I just reached out to the mall again and they told me that they've kicked him out. They've made him leave and it was. It was like the highlight of my whole year. It was a huge win. One that we cost you a lot of money. Susan turned around and went back to the sanctuary. That was the last mile at he ever went to that night she went out for dinner with Caroline Howard. An over glasses of champagne toasted their victory. It was just such a a celebratory moment in our lives because we felt like we finally rounded the corner on this whole mall cub petting thing and it was just. We thought that that was going to be the end.

"Two weeks later they flew to the Virgin Islands. A wealthy friend of Howard's lent them home for the week. We drive this little like one lane. Pass up to this house and when we open the front doors. I still just kind of gasped thinking about the few from those front doors. Because I've never seen a house like this before. There were these big plate glass windows and like bench seats underneath windows and so I remember Holland my laptop into the corner there and sitting down and pounding out our twenty year strategic plan for how we were going to end the abuse of little bit. I know that that was the last time I would get a week off for fifteen years which is true inner plan Caroline Vision today when it would be illegal to sell or own big cats in America Howard was on board. He helped turn carols ramshackle sanctuary into professional operation and they changed the name. Wildlife on easy street became big cat. Rescue we had a huge round of applause when we tore down the last one of those concrete dog. Kennel style cages in the parking lot of the sanctuary because that indicated that the very last cat was now in a much larger enclosure and so that was a a really happy day for us and they turn their attention to the source of the problem. The breeders they lobby Congress to ban the sale of big cats as pets across state lines. Then they set their sights on a new target cub pending operations which they estimated responsible for ninety percent of the breeding in America. Think about it. If you have a zoo where you want to have tigers will if you have four tigers. That's plenty of tigers for people to see but if you're going to do cub petting and want to have a constant supply. They'll have fifty breeding pairs of tigers in order to produce this constant supply of cubs. So if we can stop the Cup pending in photo ops they have no incentive to do that kind of breeding one day in two thousand nine Carol was hunched over her. I Mack a ginger striped. Tabby lounged on her desk. She combed the Internet for people who are exploiting big cats. When Carol found a cup heading operation should post its name to a website. She'd created call nine one one animal abuse dot com. I was setting. These alerts to find out about cub petting and I was finding that there were all of these different places that were setting up in malls all across America as she did this. She started noticing something odd. There were a number of organizations that all had different names names like tigers in need mystical magic of the endangered and awakening rescue but their photos looked similar. What I noticed. Was that the equipment and the people were the same people. They just had different names and there was one man in particular who appeared in many of the photos. A slender guy. With long blond mullet it turned out there. Were twenty one different operations out there doing cutting in malls that were all Cho- Shroud Bogle. Joe Exotic Howard created a new section on the website dedicated to Joe. He labeled him one of the most notorious breeders and exploiters of tiger cubs in the world. The began contacting shopping malls to get them to cancel. Joe's shows. I read with horror that the valley view mall in Lacrosse. Wisconsin is currently hosting the mystical magic of the Endangered Act. What you know is puppymills is what Joe runs. The difference being that he turns out dangerous carnivores not long after people began contacting them. I started getting emails from people saying I was at the mall and they had. This cub petting display. And it was you guys. I didn't think you guys did that sort of thing and I think that wasn't like yeah. It was it was big cat rescue around this time. Joe's tour got a makeover. Joe had decided that the The only way to fight Carol was to was to use her own names against her. All the Promo for JOE'S. Show the posters the tickets even t shirts said big cat rescue entertainment and the person who designed it. Joe's assistant Aaron Stone. I kept trying to change it up a bit and give him some other ideas and say well. Maybe you should use a different kind of animal. Maybe you should use a different layout in a different font with Joe. Give Erin explicit instructions. You GotTa Make. It look like hers so the People get confused. I want them to think this is hearts so when people come up to protest there'll be protested carol. Aaron made the design as close as he could to Carol's when she didn't think was a good idea but Joe Joe was elated. He was happy and he felt like his plan was now going to work. People really thought it was uh us. Some of them were outraged. Some of them felt like they had been lied to others. Were like you know what happened to you. Thinking just totally lost your mind but no matter. What their reaction was? We had to set it right. Karen Howard decided to fight back up their friends Susan Bass she was a public relations expert tweed helped Caroline Howard rebrand their business. I had no idea of the exploitation and he abused that tire cubs were facing they described. How baby tigers were regularly torn away from their mothers for. These cub petting tours. Then Carol told Susan they wanted to put an end to this and they needed her help and I remember at the end of conversation I told Carol I said I don't know if I really wanted to take this job because I think it will give me nightmares. And she turned to me and she said but you can stop the cats nightmares and does always guy stole. Start tearing up to this day when I think about her. Say That Susan took the job. I started in January. Two thousand eleven with the sole purpose of tracking where Joe Schraivogel would go with cubs to shopping malls and fares but that wasn't all Caroline Howard did normally. What you would do is send a cease and desist letter. There was clearly no point in doing that with Joe Okay. That was a waste of time and time was important. I needed to get this stopped. They filed a federal lawsuit against Joe for Trademark Infringement. Asking for one million dollars. I thought you would be smart enough to say. Oh these guys are serious. I don't want to spend money on an expensive federal lawsuit. I'll stop using their name. That's what I would happen but that didn't happen instead. Joe Filed a countersuit and began a full out assault on Carroll's reputation. That Howard said was Joe's first big mistake.

That's how he was with his with his telephone that evening and didn't hear from dawn so she called him and he didn't answer his phone. I mean I was like constantly every five minutes calling him. I've paged him with our code. Seven one one. Call me now. I need to talk to you now and tried the rest of the day to get a hold of dawn and all day Sunday would he have got mad at Carol and walked away and pattern for a couple days possible when he have gotten mad and Haton matic caroline padded unanswered? My phone call. No I knew then that something was terribly terribly wrong. Just didn't know what and called and called. I finally got a hold of Carol on on Monday and I asked her if she knew her husband was at and she goes no. She says as their problem. And I'm going well Carol. There's I've been trying to get a hold of him. All we can Laura these Niagara Master. This is not right. She was just terrified because she couldn't raised on. And I'm like kidding. This is this is what Donavan time would you panic stricken about? And she asked me she says won't do you think I should reporting missin. You think I should call the cops and I go. Yeah thank Carol. Reported Don missing on August nineteenth ninety-seven a day after. She said she last saw him in four days after and said she last heard from him. Carol told Detectives Don Left Around Sunrise the morning before and the last thing that he said to me was. I gotta go to Miami early early early in the morning looking back. Carol says she thinks Don may also have been suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's although his family disputes. This have always felt guilty about the fact that I let him down and I didn't keep an eye on him. Carol would've been the last person that we talked to this all done. Detective John Maher. We did a flight search to see if maybe there was some kind of a plane that was not on the records that had crashed somewhere that all met with negative results the interviewed people he worked with. They searched hospitals but then when there was a lack of any contact whatsoever no physical evidence that we could find anywhere then we became you know of course more and more involved.

"Was at an auction when they brought out a Pale furred Siberian lynx. And Carol's heart stopped. I could have sworn that I knew that cat from when it was a kitten and I just felt like Oh my God she thought she remembered selling that exact links as a pet to someone years before and so what they did was took the cat to an auction work and end up back in the hands of somebody like that taxidermist who was going to kill when song and so for me that was that was it all these years. She thought that by breeding them. She's helping to save exotic cats from extinction. Now she realized she may have just been sending more to the slaughter. At that point. I was dead set against breeding these animals or selling these animals or giving away these animals because it just wasn't a safe experience for them. Carol made up her mind to convert their private collection into a sanctuary for wildcats where she could rescue them and give them a good life. Unfortunately Don didn't agree. He was very much into breeding in dealing and cats and he didn't share my concern for where they were going to end up and this disagreement was one of many people around them began to notice. There was growing tension between them. Now while Don was a in my opinion he he was a good man. He was a man. Sometimes he'd be hateful. It's not that he didn't love the cats. They just weren't getting along. I I can also tell you that. While don loved his animals he loved his money. And if you had to put it in the order it would be his money. Women the cats and in that order one day in the summer of Nineteen ninety-seven Don rushed into the mobile home. He converted into an office. He sat down and his desk and told in he'd had another fight with Carol. He looked stressed. He didn't stay long before he left. He handed her an envelope and he said here. Take this and put in place. And he's anything ever happens to me. Make sure the police get it before and could ask what was inside. Don was out the door. She put it in her purse to take home and more or less forgotten about until one disappeared..

"Been to an auction. It's like they have to fill up every space between every word with sound I have a thousand thousand thousand thousand looking for one hundred eleven hundred seven hundred eleven hundred so it was just this constant barrage of audio coming at you and at the animals. And it's coming through these gigantic loudspeakers then a different animal chemo forbidding a six month. Old Bob Cat. The cat was clinging to its owner and quivering with fear. And he's telling people he had gotten the cat as a pet for his wife and she wasn't fun anymore so she wanted to get rid of her carol newest thing or two about Bob cats. She'd been rescuing them since she was a teenager. So when the man sitting next door started bidding on the cat she decided to offer him some advice so I just leaned over to the guy and I said when that cat grows up she is GonNa tear your face off and he said I'm a taxidermist I'm just GonNa club her in the head in the parking lot and make a declaration out of her and I just broke into tears. Carol turned to dawn he was an animal lover too so he's started bidding and bidding. And we probably pay more for that Bob cat than anybody's ever paid for Bob Cat but she was not going to get killed in the parking lot that day caroline don went home with the bobcat. They named her win song and just as Carol had predicted wind. Song was a terrible pet. She especially seem to enjoy terrorizing don. She's lay on top of the refrigerator and when he opened the refrigerator door she lied out start ripping his hair out. At this point most people would have said okay enough getting rid of this thing but not carol. There's nothing on this planet. That is more wicked than Bob. I love them for that. They're just thinking. Go from occurring and cuddly to just wanting to show you in the lashes enough. They decided to get another cat to keep wins on company so they drove up to Minnesota to see a breeder when we walked into the shed. The flies were so they can there that we had to put handkerchiefs up over our faces just to keep from inhaling them when you breed inside the shed there were row after row of cages. The owner went from one to the next polling kittens from boxes and holding them up. Carol thought something about this doesn't make sense there just so many cats for sale. She asked the man. Are there really this many people wanting to buy Bob cats as pets? And he said no he. We're for farm. Carol turned in there in the corner of the room. She spotted a pile of dead cats over the din of losing my mind. At the moment I heard on say how much for every cat here. And he started negotiating to get all of the cats out of there Carolyn. Dawn bought fifty six cats that day. The immediately started outfitting their house inside and out with cages. We built a cage around my desk so that I can at least work the real estate business from home and not have the cats peeing on the tax machine and everything else.
