Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine greatly reduces virus transmission, Israeli studies show

"To Israeli studies have found that Fizer Cove in 19 vaccine greatly reduces virus transmission. Shedding light on one of the biggest questions of the global effort to quash the pandemic. Data analysis and a study by the Israeli Health Ministry and Visor found the Fizer vaccine developed with Germany's beyond Tech. Reduces infection, including an asymptomatic cases by 89% and in symptomatic cases by 94%. The findings air from a pre published study not yet peer reviewed but based on a national database that is one of the world's most advanced a separate study. By Israel's Sheba Medical Center, published Friday in The Lancet medical journal found that among 7200 hospital staff who received their first dose in January There was an 85% reduction in symptomatic covert 19 within 15 to 28 days with an overall reduction of infections, including asymptomatic cases detected by testing of 75%. More research is needed to draw a definitive conclusion. But the studies are among the first to suggest a vaccine may stop the spread of the novel coronavirus and not just prevent the people vaccinated from getting ill. Dr Jon Swartz and Burn cold clinical professor emeritus of infectious diseases at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. The implications of this are enormous Republicans standpoints in vermin individual standpoint. If if the If these numbers are even numbers significantly less than this hold true, that is that once fully vaccinated. Well, first of all we know once fully vaccinated. It's Very, very, very, very unlikely. We're going to get seriously all and there's no evidence that you'll die after you being fully vaccinated. So we know that. But what if after you're fully vaccine, you get reinfected. We know you're not gonna get sick, but you could spread it. But what if you can't spread it? Or what? If it's very unlikely for you to spread it? It's gonna really mean that our masks they're going to come off sooner that we're gonna be hugging her loved ones a lot sooner right now. I'm fully vaccinated have been fully vaccinated now for this Just actually, three weeks today, um If I knew that I couldn't transmit this virus to my loved ones, I would My strategy would be very different. If I may ask you really come off. I could be hugging. Uh huh. But I don't know that yet, And so I have to still remain vigilant. And that is where a mask and social distance to be absolutely certain that I can't do that and think about all the health care workers. If the health care workers knew that they didn't it once they're fully vaccinated, they wouldn't transmit that would make an enormous difference in the hospitals. And think about just Transportation. It's just goes all the way down the line. So the implications are

Overwatch League Releases New Format, Schedule for 2021

"Quite a few changes for the league that likely at the toughest twenty-twenty seeing multiple players retire in entire roster is being dropped to cut costs and stagnant viewership while the o w l sister lead. The CDL has actually just kicked off the o w l won't start up until April 16th the goal I think was way out ahead of the covid-19 demek and what we won't be entirely Out of the Woods by April things are actually trending pretty quickly in the right direction. Thank God still the owner of the wall is putting forth a hybrid format that can be played online or in physical locations first off instead of a regular season format like traditional Sports b o w l will be following the CDL into a more tournament based regular-season structure. The structure will feature three weeks of qualifiers, then a mid-season tournament repeated 4 times. So to make that more clear the weekends of April 16th, April 23rd, and April 29th will be the first qualifiers then the first name Tournament will be the main melee on May 7th that schedule repeats through May June July and August. Each tournament has kind of a silly name may may lay is fine. Even if it's a little bit hard to say. Some people might assume to Smash Bros event. There's also the summer Showdown and the countdown cup which are both solid alliterations will give you that but they really Force the alliteration with the June just like white jesting. I don't think it makes sense names aside. This format will likely be easier to follow for fans on YouTube you sports events do well when they crowned some sort of champion at the end of it. Only League of Legends has really been successful creating a regular season format in Esports the c d l o w l and even our LCS have all abandoned their attempts to do so in the last one or two years this year will also see three Western o w l teams competed in Asia the Valiant fusion and New York Excelsior are all moving operations to Asia for this year that brings the divisions to 8 Eastern teams and 12 Western ones. Mid-season tournament will feature both East and West teams, they will start online but will actually compete in Hawaii once they're able to resume safely talk to UAB. I do renounce any critiques of the o w l if you invite me to a mid-season tournament in Hawaii, but I reserve the right to make fun of the name June just I'm just putting that out there right now. And the last thing to talk about with the new schedule is the price full up. Once again this year crossing the song million dollar Mark over all events Grand Champions will get a share of one point five million. But with the o w l the price still feels kind of weird, right like every team paid at least twenty million dollars in often month to even compete in this league at all. Sure splitting for a million is nice but teamed invested a whole lot more to even be in the league having a chance to win a mill back feels different from prizes and leagues that don't cost money millions of dollars to enter But ultimately the o w l can still be successful. Even if it's been pretty Doom and Gloom for a while now, they just have to keep growing in China last year a be reported in ama of birth. 1 million viewers for the playoffs the majority of which are in China. It's basically the Golden Goose for Esports if alley can remain popular in China, they could continue to exist on that alone and it'll be a crucial years so w l that's for

A Ouija board mystery

"Welcome to kiss myths and mysteries. Heiner host kit chrome in my month-long search our investigation into different forms of nation. I touched on the wage board last friday. And almost as a cautionary tale and immediately received some emails. Asking me to back that up. So i put it to my team of urban legend writers to come up with some information. That was something. I can validate with police. A names and numbers and read over this podcast so here. It is in the small seaside town of dungeness bay. The bodies of seventy five year old eric ward and his seventy two year old wife. Mildred were found on the beach without a mark on either body. The clothes were soaked with seawater. The autopsy report indicated. The water was found in their lungs. The bodies were discovered by a jogger who tracks were the only ones found on the beach when the police arrived locals testified that the couple were often seen walking the beach. at twilight. The couple's adult son clayton ward. Came up from california that after three weeks of intense investigation no suspects were revealed and clayton had to get back to his job as a technology specialist for the silicon valley giant apple but his parting comment to the dungeon is bay. Police was that when he returned he'd be able to identify the murder of his parents in eighteen. Ninety one the patent was granted to elijah bond for the we g board but one of the first mentions of the review board used was in asia around eleven hundred. Ad and historical document documents from that era but the design we know today was based on the talking boards of ohio produced by kennard six months after his first visit to dungeness baked clayton more restrictions on the list of clues. He assured police that if followed would lead them to the murderer of his parents. Seven days later after following the various clues. The police brought in steve hawks. The grounds keeper employed by the wards who under intense interrogation confessed to the drowning of the couple. He claimed that eric had kept a large amount of cash in a safe that he planned on taking. He was however unable to explain how he was going to get into the safe. When asked by the police where he got the clues clayton more replied that he belonged to a small group that used the ouija board to solve crimes and that when his father was contacted his father's spirit told him steve had knocked him unconscious and then dragged him into the waves thinking they would be washed out to sea where they would drown but he was unaware that it was low. Tide and they'd be washed up on the beach with the changing tide. He further toll clayton that. If the police went to steve's house they would find the bloody tire iron news to knock him unconscious. Clayton return to california but when police attempted to contact him with further questions about the clues they found his address was nonexistent. Phone number disconnected no record of employment at the apple corporation. Then investigator that was brought in on the case discovered that eric and ward owned a ouija board and from journal they cap learn that they were often the host of the spirit calling itself. Dozo now we g board users will tell you that. Zoe is the demon spirit of the ouija board that sometimes he becomes protective of those that. Hold the open through the board that allows him to enter this world. Where the wards holding the door open for a demon spirit that manifested into the image of a protective son that never existed and when they were murdered by their grounds keeper was a door that allowed so to pass back and forth between this world and is shut. What COVID-19 lockdowns show about a future with electric vehicles

"Many people expect the future of transportation to be electric and that drivers will charge their cars with solar and wind power. Recently scientists got a window into that future and saw what it could mean for the climate and people's health. Ronald cohen is a professor of chemistry at the university of california. Berkeley for years. His team has been using low cost sensors to monitor and map carbon emissions and air pollution in the bay area when the covid nineteen pandemic hit. He saw unique opportunity shelter in place. Orders effectively stimulated a future with fewer gas powered cars. We had a brief moment two or three weeks in every city that shutdown where passenger vehicles drop to almost half of their normal driving miles. Coen's team found that during the first six weeks of the shelter in place order in the san francisco bay area carbon dioxide emissions fell by about thirty percent other air pollution improved to and that was almost entirely due to a decrease in passenger vehicles. So he says the data demonstrates the benefits of moving away from gas powered cars. We can reduce co two emissions and reduce health impacts at the same

5 New York City public school students died by suicide this year

"Been taking a terrible toll in illnesses and lives on our society at large. And today we're learning of the tragic impact that covert 19 Has been having on New York City's public school kids. WCBS reporter Rich Lamb is joining us now now rich. How did the details of this very sad story come to light in the mayor's briefing? Well, Linda, a reporter asked the mayor about schools Chancellor Richard Carranza's statement at a recent public meeting, expressing concern about the rising suicide rate. In New York City's public schools. Well, it turns out that in New York City, five public school students have committed suicide so far this school year. "three week" Discussed on Behind the Steel Curtain

"This. Because i'm a fun loving guy on all this stuff. Then you know what when he does that and again then gets hit. Almost head knocked off and he fumbles the football. You got to put out to face the music so juju. You're a fun loving guy still love you to death but you know what sometimes you gotta no one to knock it off and that time is right now next loser. Alejandro villanueva. I his stat. Line is carl lawson stat. Line carl lawson to tackles two solo. One sack two tackles for loss as quarterback hits. He hit ben rothlisberger six times. Look there's a strong contingent of the steelers fan based already didn't want villanueva year anyways. They think he's having a bad season. They think he's kind of washed up. They think he's cost too much money. Get him out of there. But the sack numbers you know. The steelers didn't give up a lot of sack so kind of speaks for itself but on a national stage. Boyd carl lawson make wave a look like a turnstile. He has always had his ups and downs. And when you're left tackle if you're being noticed it's typically for the wrong reasons so it wasn't a good outing for big allah. Toby downs back but he was not good on monday night. Next loser the third down offense. They went four for sixteen on third down. There was a time in the first half was the steelers. I wanna say. It was embassy entire first quarter. They didn't convert on any third downs and also didn't even get a first down. It literally was three plays jordan berry three plays jordan berry three plays jordan berry. Goodness at sounds like a really bad. Nineteen eighty s pop song but still is bad i. It's as bad as it has been this roller coaster of an offense the twenty twenty regular season but in the first half man. They struggled on first down. I talked about that earlier. In the show may struggle on first downs. They struggle period period. I was tough to watch. It was tough to watch. And when you have a team that is honest to goodness there like a short passing team. That's how they've tried to use the extension of the run. Nothing made this more obvious than the play. The juju got hit and fumbled. It was the third and seven. I believe juju. Smith schuster is running a shallow crossing route. Right on the line of scrimmage and ben rothlisberger throws the ball and three cincinnati. Bengals are ready to bear down on him. That play was dead on arrival. Why he threw it. I don't know but that's just a pit. Him is the steelers offense period next loser. The turnovers three turnovers and zero takeaways. I mentioned this in the first segment coming into week. Fifteen the seals were number one in the nfl in turnover differential. They were plus eleven. Now they're plus eight. That's a pretty. That's a pretty far fall from grace. And the fact that the steelers couldn't take the ball away from ryan. Finley is is almost as shocking is giving up giving up the ball three times in the first half this is a key metric for the steelers like i said there are a fragile team. They can't give it away three times and not take it away. That's a problem. So that's a loser. Red zone offense. They were one for two in the right area. That's bad to me. It's not about the success ratio this week. It's about the fact that they couldn't even get into the red zone more than two times against the to ten and one at the time now there are three ten and one cincinnati bengals. This offense has been infuriating. And this is just one of the ways that i i was livid. I was living doing that. Post game show last monday. Night was difficult. Put it that way. It was difficult. It was very difficult. And then lastly the rush defense forty one carries for one hundred and fifty two yards. That's a stat line for the cincinnati. Bengals the steelers. Defense keith butler. They had to know the bengals. Were gonna want to establish the run. Take some pressure off ryan finley. Everyone knew they were going to do that. And they were able to do it so when the entire viewing audience the bengals were going to run. They were still able to get the job done. Think about that. You throw in the fact that ryan finley. No not cam newton. Not lamar jackson was able to abuse. That defense with these run. Pass options are peos. That was embarrassing. Alex highsmith when he's watching the film in front of with the team. I don't care if it's virtual or not. He's probably gonna get rained. Forgetting abused by ryan finley on more than one occasion. You expect the steelers defense and this is maybe maybe i have them several on a pedestal. But you expect the steelers defense to make a team. One dimensional take away with trying to force the ball in ryan finley's hands couldn't do it. They could not do it. When ryan finley gets the bengals a win by throwing the ball thirteen times. You can talk about turnovers. All you want. They weren't able to do it period. That's that's just as bad. In my opinion those are my winners and losers from this past week was not pretty was not pretty at all. And it's tough for me to say this. It's tough for me to finish on a positive because there's not many positives to come out of the pittsburgh steelers to be honest with you i. It's just it's just not it's just not good but at the same time. If you're someone that is thinking to yourself when the heck's jeff gonna talk about how you gonna finish this on a positive well think about this the last team to start eleven. Oh and then lose their next three games that was this according to espn stats and info. By the way it was the two thousand nine new orleans saints. They started eleven. Oh eleven now. Lost their next three in.

"So we have certainly sent somebody on the fifteenth of december to singapore. Covid positive. That could have happened. Well we don't know and we're trying to find that out and by the way if you want to know singapore's going pretty good. They got. I think one case in the dormitory area. And that's it's the other day so we keep hearing about this strain in the uk. That's more transmissible. I'm sure people are wondering whether that could be playing a role in what's happening here in australia. Or if it's that strain and is it more likely to be the biology of the virus all the way. Humans behave a free by yesterday. There were four reported cases in hotel quarantine of people who came in with that virus from the uk. It's not easy to test for because there's so many of mutations apparently but we know there are four what we seem to know. I think is that on the genomic so far none of the none of the viruses that have caught outside. Quarantine are that virus of though the nurses still a question mark at least by the time we were recording. This kurna cost. We don't know that yet. So there is science science behind this This mutant of the virus in the uk the suddenly a lot of mutations. There's one in particular the in five or one which we actually had in australia for a while but went extinct in australia. And another version of the virus came in but in fact it is the end five will one east quite infectious and in fact the door to institute is using that in five or one for most models of the virus because it actually is quite a good one to work within the lab so in five or one by itself does create a bit of extra infectivity. "three week" Discussed on The Leader

"This is. This is promising promising news. And we absolutely determined that. Shoot this vaccine be certified as clinically safe. Then we'll roll it out. According to a clinical needs even matt hancock the health secretary. who's been under a bit of pressure. This year allowed himself to sound at least a little relieved on bbc breakfast this morning. It's a mood to be matched around the country. It's almost like we can let ourselves be happy. At least one coluna virus vaccine is coming and the could be more. It's been a bit of a race to get one ready germany's in the lead but oxford. His not far behind our deputy political editor. nicholas cecil. Is he festival nicholas. How soon will people be able to get a vaccine. Well how secretary matt. Hancock made clear this morning that the aim is for the chest to be ready to roll out the vaccine from the start of december so really in three weeks time. It doesn't mean that that will definitely happen poop because they actually have to have the vaccine to roll out and the pfizer vaccine has not yet been approved by regulators and also the production issue. How many millions of doses can they actually provide. The uk given the whole world will be offered this vaccine of quick as possible. Oh well certainly will be after this vaccine. I think that the moment the whole world is just believed that the seems to be finally some light at the end of the tunnel. Yes this is hugely positive news. And it's not only that the pfizer vaccines looks like. It's going to work. But it's also that there a number of a vaccine with us the same protein spike methods to combat coronavirus. The evening standard spoke to professor andrew. Pohlad you head see oxford vaccine trial team this morning and he was saying that what we've learned from pfizer result is that is his words. Highly likely that we will have multiple vaccines that were including his. I would assume did he give any indication of when the oxford vaccine could be ready. He did specifically say so no can of. He's hopeful that they will get their interim results for phase three by the end of the year. My understanding is that it could be as soon as december if people carry on contracting curative hours on the count rates in the areas where they carry out their trials and presumably having several vaccines available to to. Gp's across the country across the world can only be a good thing. Yes and it's it's more than just. Gp's actually carry out this vaccination program so there's gonna be a whole army of people. They'll be pharmacists. Dentists of hostile staff could be an unprecedented vaccination program. Let we've never seen before. In britain to start with. It will be pitches workers the vulnerable and elderly people than the bulk of the population. We'll we'll get next year. I guess we can only speculate on this one. I wonder what the mood in downing street was like yesterday when it was announced that the was a vaccine with a ninety percent efficiency. I i suspect this huge relief all round there is in the white population but ministers are still warning. It's far from game over and the next weeks months could still be very difficult with hostile expected to is and five hundred thirty more deaths and so suddenly matt hancock this morning was urging people to still be patient and to follow the rule stressing priscilla deadly disease. And it's five movie yet. You can read more from nicholas in the newspaper or at standard dakota uk now It's been widely reported that dominic west marriage to catherine fitzgerald is as good as over the fifty one year old star of the Said to have admitted his feelings for thirty one year. Old actress lily. james. Of course older man hooking up with younger women is a story older than the hollywood hills themselves. But the idea that the wives they leave behind will be emotionally and financially devastated is long date as evening. Standard's katie law rights in. Call him today. something has shifted. She's with me now. Katy middle-aged man running off with younger women as a story. We've seen many many times before haven't we we certainly have and We just need to look at actors politicians anywhere in the world. It's a compete kisha. Isn't it but i think has changed. How we regard this used to be quite a status symbol to have a traifi young wife thing at the end of your fingertips. But i'm not sure that's true anymore. I think a lot of people don't really find that anymore. That idea now you yourself. Ktar a woman of a certain age who is divorced now. We should make clear that that had nothing to do with anybody running off with any younger people but when that marriage broke down. Will you worried. I worried in some ways. Of course because i think divorce for anybody under any circumstances is almost always upsetting. But i think the important thing is that women today. A lot of women are well educated. They can pursue their own careers. They can be financially independent and they don't have to depend on that ex-husband's full support. And i think it's not just a question of money. It's also self esteem and women who can hold their heads up high and achieve something. It's an incredibly important part of a woman going on and making it. And if i went on dating sites and so the guy of my age around my h was looking for much younger woman. Imet immediately thought what lisa. How all those dating sites for older older people well. I'm pleased to say that. I no longer have signed up to one. I mean signed off of it. Because i met somebody three years ago and its history but the dating sites i think brims and particularly for older women as much as they are young people. I think younger people tend to think the old people don't want to date but the so much choice out there. I think that that burden. So dominic west could find himself. Coming out of this marriage was his wife. Coming out on top really couldn't they. That seems to be the situation these days that appears to be the modern way for things to happen. Well i think if i don't know either dominate west his wife or and if they are the people who go through these rations but women who find themselves being abandoned by that husbands for whatever reason particularly for younger women probably will feel humiliated and unhurt but they need space. That's what i think. Is the clinton going for them. Plenty of manage their. You know they've just got to pick themselves up and get on with alive. You can read katie's piece in the evening standard newspaper or online at standard dokodo uk. And that's the leader..

"On the I'm sorry. On tannehill and the the defense. Yeah. Sure. Like when it comes to like if this is a game where the steeler is completely try to shutdown derrick. Henry. What they did was Saquon Barkley. What are we seeing out of that? Two out of those receivers? Can they can they like torch the? Can they torture steelers if they're playing those one on one match ups we're we're gonNA play them more like we played the giants. If you're if you're gonNA treat Tannahill Breaker Mayfield or he's Daniel Jones or he's jumped driscoll, you're GONNA get torched. We saw that with Houston and we saw that with Philadelphia with Carson Wentz. If you if you if you treat them like they're not very good, they're going to burn you carson. Wentz with Barnabas all day to the outside Tannehill as long as. In the middle of the field tannehill. So good over the middle of the field he. retorted. It was like you said, those middle routes that's where Steven Nelson is vulnerable in cutting routes. That's where Tannen Hillary strength it you don't have help. Like, if we're blitzing and we are not providing help in the short middle of the field, it's going to be a nightmare. For me because you know Corey Davis coordinated this has been Aj rounds not the fastest. They don't have really those burner deep threats to me. I will see the steelers put bring Danka Fitzpatrick down in that Robert will put him in the middle of the field like they did to get pick six against Baker Mayfield and let's edmonds let someone else shift deep you know even put Hayden. Or Nelson deep and and let make if it's Patrick takeaway that that role there where Devin Bush was covering for a lot of things. Devin. Bush was in their covering lot. PUT MINKA down there. Let him make plays I. think that could be a solution. But yeah, we're we're if we're blitz crazy for doing run blitzes in which we're selling out to stop Derrick Henry. Yeah we'll stop Derrick Henry. But? That's only part of it. They got too many weapons. Now, we another superjet here from Sean Monahan. He says ray rate. Hawk locked I don't know how how. Well you know the steelers kick return game in our we do wide receiver, but maybe we'll start with Geoffrey again on this one Ray Ray Macleod, he's had a pretty decent electric start the season as a kick returner. See The ball a little bit in the receiving game. Do see his role expanding as the weeks go on I. I believe it's pronounced rake. Okay. But. Ray, MCLEOD? Yeah. I. Could See NBA difference. The steelers have been really good in the run game because of the jet sweep, we've that we have a film room on their by one of our by Kevin Smith Really Greg I I he covered how how deep is opening so much of the game if Macleod is still getting snaps in there with the Andre Johnson back he can open. Up things there, and he's gotten pretty close to break in some in the in the return game there would not be there could be a better game to get a good kick off or punt return for a touchdown than this one in a game were really getting lead getting some free points would make a huge difference in our ability to stop Derrick Henry and take over the game. Now before we get new another super chat here. Talking lockdown I'm curious your thoughts on the special teams, the third the third phase of this game in this one of course, when we talk last time we're talking to Stephen. Gostkowski. US He potentially getting cut all the sudden. He's AFC special teams player of the month. It seems like he's kicking the game winning kick in every single game. What's what's going on with the special teams? Obviously, they're training in the in the in an upward direction. Well. I think ask ASCII had to change socks. That's what he literally did. was kicking without socks and he has put my socks back on and he's been kicking it very well ever since the one kick that he missed against Texas was blocked right? So yes. Our special teams has been very, very good. We know about Rory McLeod, the formal buffalo bill we know about him You know we've seen the tape on his well. We do see he is a problem. We do see that but man there hasn't been that one time this whole season where a player almost broke one on us. Ok now we'll say on our in, we probably won't break any kickoff returns for touchdowns were Khalif Raymond but I will say, Khalif, Raymond gets a lot of positive yards on our kickoffs and you were speaking earlier about bringing fitzpatrick down which we saw against Cleveland. We saw him come dowse I got the pick six he was playing now sitting there. Making me feel had a terrible game lays gymnast. He really did what I will say if you WANNA bring him down, you WanNa talk about cleave as a kickoff returner you better watch office we talk about speed in the middle going down the scenes of Meka wants a overly play. Derrick Henry we can have play action which has been our biggest positive. The steelers does a good job at that to play action and they really do but that's a positive that we have as well to. You know we see railway out. There we do. I. Don't I can't say he's GonNa. Break break a touchdown I think will will hold them pretty well we're we're pretty good at special teams man Yeah I a special teams is pretty sad especially when we played the bills I mean I just spilt it the whole time we have Chris Milton who's a backup defensive back who was out there making plays on special teams Dan Bates who may special special teams plays. So I mean Ray Ray can try but the way special teams playing in where they stand there lanes when they rent whenever returning kicks or going down to the Stop the kitchen, the punts is very disciplined so. Gust asking I mean like you say took off the socks he's been money ever since. He hasn't missed. So I mean it with Reid he can be a threat but with the Titan special teams that's Kinda actually been our strength for the past two years basically, and especially with brick earn his way too. So that's another positive. So acts no paper absolutely record the best in the league. has been the. Yes. Yes and we're very well coached team and don't make a lot of mistakes. We don't make a lot of penalties with at least penalized team in the League I. Mean those things count as to why we're five? No, you don't so. Still, too I mean. This this is going. There's going to be a good game. This pink. This is going to be the game of the year and potentially. One of these two teams could be a super bowl. Contender has a lot to save what is a possibility literally. We. Do have a super chat but I think this appropriate time for this question. Okay. Are these the best two teams in the AFC? Maybe, we'll start with lock on this first or these the best to, of course, the Dow that would be Kansas. City in Baltimore three and four. I can't. With these two now, you would else good question hells Christian. So. If I say balanced teams. These are the two best balanced teams Let's in the AFC right now Kansas City right now is the team to beat of course because they're the super bowl champs that's where we gotta get through but I actually will say this people and I'm GonNa say this I'm going to say I think I believe so yes, I mean literally I believe these are the best two teams in the NFC right now. Granted Kansas City has they've got beyond bail. That's fine. But Kansas City is struggled in times..

"Pittsburgh steeler fans. We are back with another know your enemy. No you're not watching an episode from a couple weeks ago. This is the second edition of know your enemy against the Tennessee Titans with Tennessee Titans weekly. We've been excited for this. I think ever since the first game was canceled at delayed until this point in the year Let me get to the introductions first before we get to the questions of course, I'm Michael Beck deputy editor behind steel curtain dot com join his always by one Mr Jeffrey Benedict Jeffrey. How are you doing tonight sir? I'm doing great really. Perfect and you know what I'm doing very good as well because of our two fabulous guests. A little. Bison saying I think are two favorite of the year so far The Hawk and lockdown back. Are you guys doing? We're doing pretty good five. Year You, say heart to heart two of the. It was interrupted. And you know what happened right seeing. Glad to be here like we talked earlier this is one of our favorite podcast beyond. So it's good to be back definitely good to be back. Yes. Yes. They're very good to be back man and this'll be the game of the year right now I mean two. Teams battling each other. Very, two very good teams man. We're excited to talk about this and discuss with you guys man we have a lot to discuss on this man really do. So if those that have never been on our podcast, you can check us out on Youtube Tennessee Titans weekly. As well On. Instagram at Tennessee Titans Weekly Twitter Titans weekly twenty, four seven it's on our caption, and if you WanNa ever contact is Tennessee titans weekly at gmail.com absolutely your favorite titans podcast. No question. I gotTA agree with. that. Diving, right into it. You guys said it potential game of the year Jock. Why don't I turn it over to you on this one. Are you feeling the same thing this is this the NFL's game the years this the prime I'm him Yes yes. Definitely. We have to power house teams going at it five or no, and we know it to be the prior early start of the year. We will what both four, no three and whatever we were. So going into this game is the game of the year it should be a prime time game but. We know how it is in in NFL. Probably doesn't still believe the steelers and the titans are the two contenders in this league, but you have to top five teams going against each other early in the year in this possibly possibly could be a AFC championship match-up that we might be looking at in the future. So this is going to be a big game for both teams and I feel like both teams are playing. Some amenable opponents, and this is going to be a tough match up on both sides. So definitely, this is a huge. There's a trigger word right in there for me. The potential AFC championship match-up Jeffrey. Are you feeling that to Sir i? Am I am I think these two teams can do it They're both just rolling and I think I think you're seeing them both starting to get going to your boasted you're seeing both teams start to improve their getting people back from injury of the steelers are going to get people back from injury. A both teams are both teams are also kind of a little bit of a vulnerable spot. We've lost some good players is going to be really interesting to see how this one pans out. Yeah and I I'm curious from from from both you is this is this one that you think is at the very least a playoff matchup if not that that final final game of the AFC playoffs absolutely definitely playoff matchup man if you look at the NFL in general, there are a lot of bad football teams. Jeff, you brought up a good point about some vulnerability I do agree with that on both teams discuss that because both teams do have that but I think overall when. You look at us. Yes. This can be a playoff matchup. Absolutely. There's some things that when look at Pittsburgh the number to write a defense in the league that that bulls very very well, and you look at the Tennessee, look a yards per game points per game. We're number two in the league. So you got to clashes coming together right and so I think that a bulwell force for both teams. So the rest of the season to good teams about to play Chelsea Sunday man no question about it. Yeah and you know what? I got to turn over to her live chat here because we got. Ryan Jeffords. Putting four, ninety, nine in the tip jar he says, Henry gets shut down I. said he said L. O. L.. They all say that they all say that. Shutdown down what about. Interesting Jeffrey had a really good step that he told me before we got on. If you. WanNa share that one I it's a pretty interesting stat. Yeah. Yeah. This is this is actually coming from. A stat. Guru Dave Scofield He sent me this before the before the show. Tonight that. If Derrick Henry is held under one hundred yards in games where he gets under a hundred yards of the titans are five hundred. Obviously when he gets over that, it's a lot better well, yeah, pains. Yeah when days connor gets over sixty yards, the steelers are eleven one and. So. This is this is kind of that game where you. Get the run game going because if dare can get shut down. The you know we got a good shot James Connor is going. It's going to be an interesting game right there in the trenches smashing each other in there and running the ball it's going to be fun. Now. What do you think can we can can anyone shutdown dare Kenner at this point near rail? I'd say this Derrick Henry assault to reverse the stats just went over the games of dare kinder's gone over one hundred yards. We have been undefeated and that sixteen in Oh. Okay. That that's an that's an impeccable record, right so looking at it as well too when you look at this game, the running game you. Know yes you have. James. Connor. I. Think for us. We lost Taylor Lewan for those in Pittsburgh that don't know that's are starting left tackle one of the highest paid one of the best left tackles in the game. So that concerns me when it goes Kim. So it's not so much stopping. Derrick Henry personally is about, can our line hold up your defensive line and I'm going to say something I've watched tape There are opportunities to run against the Pittsburgh steelers I think. What is the problem in the pass rush TJ wide is a beast and we just play his brother last week in Jj Watt, and he was obese against our backup offerings alignment. I think the run lanes will be open for us. When I look at Pittsburgh's defense when I look at to, it s a look at a Lulu where I look at those guys I. Think there's some opportunities came hey, was getting a little long in the tooth. He's getting a little bit older as well. I think we can run on them. So it's not about stopping Derek Henry's cannot line hold up they will hold up you won't stop Derrick Henry King Henry but crown on. Lockdown I'll ask you your pin on on that but I saw a huge reaction on Jeffrey. Benedict. There I'm guessing those towards the Cam Hayward. Seen something like.

"Dutch from from the underground and also just note that they think he's going to get about twenty five. Maybe thirty touches starting at least the first couple of games or what not trying to get back into the picture. If you have zeke ezekiel elliott on your team and you know must have come in a very high first or second round at the latest. What's your thoughts as far as playing him. Do you play him right away. Do you have have no choice. I mean if you picked zeke. You elliott most likely you don't have that greater depth that running back after him so most likely you gotta go ahead even with with the limited amount of touches you gotta go ahead and play him correct. Yeah you hit the nail on the head. I mean at that point unless you really play in a a smaller league or people were asleep at the wheel on the second and third round of your draft. You're forced to start him. You know he's playing whether he's in shape or not. I don't know he claims to be working out in kabul but you have to. I think kinda kinda to the other factor involved here is the giants don't have the most stout defence who knows maybe they spell elliott a few times and he gets them. Goal-line looks and he gets you a touchdown so so at this point. It's kind of looking at it like a real team. You're paid the guy the top bucks in this case a first round draft pick play him roll the dice spin fewer going up against a <hes> the chicago bears or maybe the rams defense. Maybe you kinda give it thought but not this week stardom and like i said hope he gets you one of those cheap b._t.'s or maybe a few catches and receiving yards hopefully that'll be the case to make the best of very messy situation i should say and and hopefully for zeke elliott fans and also fantasy football team owners that have as you go elliot on their team. Hopefully it will still manage to be a good season. I don't know how great it will be because then you get into a situation where those players with those long holdouts. They have a tendency to get injured. The percentages seemed to go up for them to get injured as being more likely so i've been kind of worried and hopeful that i have enough depth on my running back roster absolutely that's it's an excellent way of putting it and frankly in this game. We love and play running backs. Get her all the time. It's just hard to predict whether holdout or not you're gonna have a fluke injuries so i say take take it week by week and worry about it down the road but it's definitely a good way of looking at it my friend. It's been a great episode. I gotta have you on real soon. After the the dust is settled on week one of the n._f._l. United still workout times as far as when you're available to do so but you are definitely going to be a major part of insight sports fantasy issue football going forward. I gotta ask you my friend before we had on out and that is what do you and charles smith junior the host that both you are of of the insights board show what you to scheming up for this season of insight sports all thanks again for the opportunity. I'm looking forward to a great season in doing this. Show a lot of friends and even co workers giving good feedback and even asked me when the first episode was and i told them after i finished my draft but that's i guess a little more like insider information nation but on the show are actually doing a bit of a reboot to the most popular segments we we've had gotten feedback from the audience on our our pick segment and fantasy football also i'll probably be giving some more of my nuggets whether it's who to pick up to drop who to start those sorts of things and then charles and i started a few years ago where we had a segment called gamblers blurs the late and thanks to the supreme court in my home state of new jersey gambling's not as evil as everyone makes it out to be as you know the fine state of nevada so we had a scene team charles was he picking over under and being the contrary and i am at times i would pick an underdog a really good year last year..

"You. Gotta do what you gotta do absolutely couldn't agree more. You know what it's going to be also a great weekend in the n._f._l. First weekend everybody's so pumped all the fantasy football owners out there just so psyched. I'm going to win the championship after week one. If you start to see a little bit of cracks near but before everybody goes ahead panics before it goes in and just this gives themselves a pat on the back. We've got week one to worry about and from fantasy football standpoint. Are there any match ups right off the ginkgo that stick out brought to you that says for a fantasy football team owner out there they have to go ahead and they have to make a play absolutely and i think this is going to be a recurring theme throughout the year. Start anyone you have on the baltimore ravens offense. I say that because the miami dolphins a two thousand nine hundred miami dolphins may be the first n._b._a. Team to enter the n._f._l. N._f._l. I say that because they've outright admitted that there tanking this year they traded tunsil instills. They've got ryan fitzpatrick starting quarterback. They don't have a heck a lot of depth on matt team. They know there are two top college quarterbacks potentially to be had in the draft next spring so be frank with you. Someone like lamar jackson. Even is a good start. I know there are some questions sion's given his playoff game last year against the chargers not this week play him. I think even someone to get a little deeper into the weeds like justin tucker. <hes> the raven should be able to put put up some points if not he's going to be within field goal range because i think that ball control offense will run the dolphins all over the field so right there. I know that seems like a no brainer but so you really can't go wrong with any ravens against the dolphins and secondarily one other a big trend. I'd like to think here. I'd like to pass along a week. One don't don't kind of overanalyze things. I mean for instance. I've got cam newton on a team and i know he's going up against the top ramps defense but he's better than my alternative play him. You don't know what's going to happen. Can you last night the bears. The packers look sluggish who knows they may even get into a shootout wpro or maybe cam will get you a rushing touchdown or throw a couple t._d.'s as late or something along those lines don't over think it yet. I do think matchups are important but i mean patrick. Mahomes is going up against a tub jags. The are you gonna sit him or are you gonna sit tyreek hill. I think not they may not have an explosive gain but play them because it's week one we all know the defenses are just as out of shape as the offense is in getting that rust off so that's my advice matchup wise this week i've got to that. I want to go ahead and point out. One of them is cincinnati at seattle and if you got anybody on the seattle title offense. I think that's something that should be a definite play for you especially if you have chris carson or russell wilson. I think that both of them are going to be big time contributors to you a very very good win. I know vegas has seattle as a heavy favourite going into the weekend. Another game that you want to look at is houston at new orleans on monday night with new orleans at home. Drew brees go crazy annette game especially being an early game so it's not too late for the national t._v. The audience the houston at new orleans could be something that really could be very exciting especially for owners that have new owns players on the roster. Kamara breeze the wide receiver said michael thomas. If you have them on your team i would definitely say that there are a must start because houston after all the funky traits that they did some some of them. Which were i don't. I don't think that they got the best of especially when you concerning the the judean clowney trade and all that but there's there's a couple of other trades as well all that that i don't really have everything going right in houston. They're they're doing some very curious things almost as curious what's going on in miami handy but let's not even go there and i think that's that's really a situation..

"I don't think I can take a stand against celebrating Christmas to the fullest extent of the Holiday Inn. If that means you wanna turn your car into some kind of makeshift reindeer with Antlers. I don't mind frankly is long as and this is important that shit's only on your car for like a three week period. You can put it on a weakened December. You take that bitch off the second Christmas is over like the next day. If I driving around January third with Antlers on your car you ruin. It for everybody. Don't do that the other holiday stuff that happens that I don't have a problem with that. I normally would I mentioned like the fake leg hanging out the trunk will if it's an elf leg with an elf shoe on it and it's wearing green stockings in its December. After the first week, suddenly I don't care anymore. I think that's funny. I don't know why the holidays are like a loophole for vehicular trash moves for me. And that's just me doesn't mean that that way for everybody as we know trash trash is trash does. And it is judged in different ways different strokes for different folks, strokes, whatever and I'm fine with the elf wag hanging out the back. I'm not cool. How ever would you wrapping your car with Christmas lights or something psycho like that the way over the top Christmas guy with the card that any version of the over the top car decorations like the guy who has thousand bumper stickers on the back. You suck, sir. You look stupid. And I'm sick of having to try to read every single one on the back of your car before the light turns green, I only get like half of them, and it's really upsetting. Because the other ones were probably the funnier ones that I missed. I fucking hate it. So don't overdo it don't wrap your car and fucking Christmas lights. You psycho. Just do some simple. If you have to make your car holiday, seasonal just do some simple go with the Antlers or something..

"He was on a little two, three week, American tour. It was right before soundcheck. I think his team was a little worried about the time. I never want to stress anybody out if they're on a schedule. So of course, I was a little uptight about it too. But once we started talking man that all melted away pretty much instantly despite never having met him before we connected really fast, I felt like I was talking to a kindred spirit and you know, he didn't have anything in particular. He was trying to promote. We were just two guys who liked music having a conversation. I think that's when this podcast is at its best. I am however putting links in the description of this show where you can go fine. All of. His music, all of his tour dates, everything. You definitely need to be following Murrow Masa. I've always been pre blown away at how good is music is. But in this case, I was pretty blown away by how well-spoken how intelligent guy was, you know, he's still young. He started super young. I got kind of focused on that in the conversation trying to figure out what that was like, and it's fun to talk to somebody who's in that position because you realize the potential of what they could go on to do. They have so much more time to keep making shit to keep innovating. And I think you can tell that's really what's important to him in this conversation, the evolution of it, the art of it. It's a pure thing when he talks about it, and I really dig that and we went all over the map. We talked about everything you know, from his moments where you're kind of intersected with the pop world with the mainstream world, a little more to underground scenes. You know, growing up on a tiny little island, it sounded insane, man. He was a great commerce. I really enjoyed it. I think you're going to enjoy it as well. I know I say that every time, but I mean, you're listening to the show so you know, fuck it. I think you'll enjoy. Let's get into a right now. This is me and Mirma backed aback less go..

"To three week period and then the pain is still present and what that tells us as it begins to show us that now we're starting to deal with more an issue that is more related to muscles that means like you know again you know we have muscles that are influencing the pain and again within about three or four weeks if you have a muscle issue where muscle injury those issues should go away and people may say well doc will your why do you why do muscles take three to four weeks to heal while you know muscles actually get really good blood supply and good blood flow have muscles themselves can heal you know for the most part within three or four weeks so if you injure a muscle that's gonna flare up it's going to be compatible but then it should go away and then the third payment we look at us something you know what that people don't realize again with inflammation we have muscles within the third one we also have is actually his pain that's related to nerves now this is a pain that can kind of come and go this is something that may have been there you know two years ago when a disappears and you think it's fine and then boom all of a sudden it flares up again in that's kind of how our nerves work is it his third type of pain it can move it can change it can go from the back to the hip to the foot to the shoulder so in pain starts moving a lotta time door comes and goes that's usually the sign now we're maybe dealing with with the pain that actually is a nerve issue and so that's how that goes so will we focus on inflammation let's go back to this has worked so inflammation we know is that the root cause of so many disease processes you know so some of the major causes of inflammation is obviously our diet you know for many years we got very addicted to these bad fats we became very deficient in healthy good ones in this begin to skyrocket inflammation yeah we went from this this whole theory of body butters bad eat margarine and so you know we just kind of over you know.

"Authorities are now warning that more bombs could still be out there because they don't know if the bomber mailed more devices prior to his death so this was a three week bombing spree now they're saying a lot of people are saying well you know the first is this was targeting people who are minorities may maybe was i don't know i mean clearly the first two victims who died from these package bombs were both black the next woman was hispanic i don't know about the two guys on the bike we ever got any idea what they were all about well and at that point i mean the two guys on the bike that would have been somewhat more of a random situation because if if it's a trip wire at that point you're trying to get anybody you can whose gonna trip that wire so that wouldn't have been targeted attack i i'm guessing the same unless it was a neighborhood where there were lots of minorities i dunno i dunno but of course you know the narrative that the media wants to portray this as a white racist so at least they got their white guy but i'm just glad we got the guy i don't i don't care what color and not a this is to me it's this is not this is a kook so officers arrived at this hotel by the way they also used i'm not sure how but the tv they use cell phone data they were also i've heard from other reports there was something in the bombs that was unique and they were able to determine where those unique pieces were purchased so there's something to that anyway officers arrived at.

"Probiotics within three week are restoring function to the immune system of the elderly i mean it let me find dish to studies i have very interesting study that when people inhaled cold viruses if they took a probiotic they were inhaling to cold virus right to their nose if they took a probiotic they weren't getting sick but if they did happen to get six some of them gotcha it was a mild infection and it didn't last long short really matters it's the intensity of the infection that matters and older people of course and people compromised immune systems like um uh people have been on chemotherapy or raw people of severe diabetes are severe hypertension it's not treated their means just must respond well to infections there in the most danger dead ones that are gonna develop things like viral pneumonia so take the probiotic at set your immune system up to work properly to fight off infections here's a study it's an a british journal nutrition as from york health consortium in the uk and a dairy and food culture technologies in california and the global alliance for health um they're looking at twelve him clinical trials and they found like taking a probiotic if it's a good one that usually at the lunch for your immune system to make it work properly sorts less likely to attack your body and more likely to help fight off infections or lactobacillus remnote lactobacillus.
