The Mets Quest To Rebuild, And Rebrand, Themselves

"So tim. It's certainly been a roller coaster of an off season for the new york mets. How would you characterize the state of this. Mets organization as we head into the twenty twenty one season. I feel like the mets are still in kind of a period of transition as an organization. Steve cohen took over at the start of november and he brings in sandy alderson. The team's former general manager as his team president guy who's really well respected around the game of baseball and the thought was they wanted to instill a new culture for the mets to build this new mets team. That was totally different from what they had previously under wilpon ownership and for two and a half months they nailed it. We're going to build a process that produces great teams year in and year out. You bill champions you. Don't buy them. They nailed the opening. Press conference and i plan to make the investments. We need to succeed. It started signing guys. Trevor may and james mccann. They make a huge landmark trade for francisco endure and carlos carrasco the first week of january and everything was rolling in the right direction for them until mid-january and the story about jared porter and his inappropriate text messages and texts photos with a female reporter while he was a member of the chicago cubs front office in two thousand sixteen exposed that maybe the mets could have done a better job in the vetting process. That was clearly for a lot of baseball reporters. Based on the inference took off of twitter talked and he will find out his character. That's on you. Skepticism is really exacerbated. A couple of weeks later when we learned about micky calloway's misconduct as mets manager. In two thousand eighteen. Twenty nine thousand. Nine callaway sent unsolicited messages and photos to women among other inappropriate and harassing behavior. The former mets manager aggressively pursued the women through messages and in person the team released a statement saying was hired by sandy alderson. As the general manager. Calloway had been hired by. Sandy alderson two years before so i think all of the good vibrations from the first couple months of the offseason were undercut by what happened in the last month of the offseason for mid january to the start of spring training in february

Understanding the GameStop Stock Market Drama

"Markets have been shaken again over the past two weeks as Reddit Day traders boosted shares of companies like game Stop. And sent short selling hedge funds running with long short funds losing 6% overall last month, and Melvin Capital alone, plummeting 53%. But most hedge funds emerged unscathed. And Steve Cohen's 0.72 even attracted $1.5 billion in new money. Here's sweet that Ramachandran, GAM investment manager, I assume hedge funds are probably reluctant to short small cap stocks right now, if the fear that the Reddit brigade might be behind those, But by early this week, game stops to the moon rally started to come back toward Earth, and not even the reddit flash mob or changes the top of the company. Could get the irrational exuberance going again reminding us why hedge funds and short sellers target companies like Gamestop investor that gets caught in the up dressed on that and doesn't understand that investing well, it looks like it's all going up to the person to click the last by understand that that could happen to them that quickly. That's former e trade financial CEO Carl Rossner. I ask Council on foreign relations senior fellow Sebastian Mallaby, if anything will fundamentally change. In the hedge fund world. I don't really, I mean, I think that hedge funds which of course, go back to the sixties, at least have proven to be an amazingly robust platform from which to think creatively about risk. Ondo. They adapt. You know they get new stuff yesterday in their ways when they began, there was no such thing as trading currencies because turned his world fixed it together one mark, it's hardly existed. You have to trade stocks by appointment on. They adapted all the way through that, As everything changed the authentic thea advent of reddit the advent of Robin Hood. This is just the latest iteration of the long, long history of financial innovation, and every time hedge funds figure it out. You also have regulators trying to figure it out as it were, after the fact we have the Treasure Secretary Janet Yellen now saying She's meeting with regulators, saying, We need to take a hard look at this about the volatility and whether this might actually put in jeopardy. Some investors. We also have hearings in Congress coming up. Do you expect there might be some tweaking, at least to the regulations? I think with respect to Robin Hood on the fact that it had to close down Access to trading on second stocks. That's the kind of market interruption which regulators order take action on. You need the infrastructure of trading to be reversed you, you know you need to look at the plumbing, and some regulators put it. And so the back part of the system will definitely because they're fresh. Look, What about on the short selling side? There have been proposals as you know, well for short, so staff to disclose their positions, individual positions, which is done is I understand in Europe. Do you think there might be a renewal of that call? And by the way, why do we have to disclose on the long side and not the short? I'm not sure, Actually, that hedge funds do disclose on the long side unless they buy more than Disposable fresh over believe it's 5% or something off the company so you could get away with a lot without disclosing. I think you know when you Taking a really big position. Probably there's it becomes a systemic threat to you. You know, you might blow up if that position where to go very badly wrong on so regulators to care about the soundness of the system ever all Have a legitimate interests, but I think it's more positions shouldn't have to be disclosed. But we certainly had some large hedge funds who took a big hit on. I wonder whether that did suggest it could be systemic risk here. Well, the beauty of hedge funds is that through their long history They've proven to be smart enough to fail. Not too big to fail, they actually can blow up and people often cite long term capital management in 1998 Aziz. The big exception actually, if you go back and look at that incident The New York Fed convened the banks to recapitalize them, but no taxpayer money. Zero went him. So freestanding hedge funds. I'm not counting here, the subsidiary of best stones that went wrong in a rage. Freestanding hedge funds have never had a taxpayer bailout mills in capital has not needed to taxpayer bailout. That's the good thing about hedge funds.

"You think people will listen to show a picture me in a bubble bath once in a while, I'm sure they do. I mean, there's a lot of people do that. I don't know. I mean millions upon millions listening across 400, plus affiliates and worldwide on the I heart radio at there's no question there's gotta be some percentage thinking about you in a bubble bath, whether they're in one or thinking of you in one Could do the show in a bubble bath tiger with that work without too much electricity near like water. No we have to do is get you the microphone, headset and a wire that's like taped to the top of your shower. We're good. Let's just say, Can we get away Webcam in there in case something really goes bad? No, no, I mean, I mean, like, it's gotta be like a hot tub like my showers. I'm you know, gonna be enough time bubble bath. I mean, it's got to be well, not a hunter. But it's gotta be in like a big enough bubble. But like, I'm thinking, like in those commercials where it's like a big wine glass, and that's a bubble bath home. Wow. Like you see, like, in the Poconos and stuff. Hey, I forgot you live next to Stephen King. My bad. I'm just saying, I mean, I think that's gotta be the look. It's actually gonna work. I thought we were talking about all those like champagne glasses and stuff that you know. They do performances on award shows and at other clubs in Yes, I mean, let's let's work on that. I think that's what it should be. I'll wear my met. I'll wear my my metsa bathing suit, which is a big one piece, and it'll work out fine. It'll be good and I'll try and I'll drink like like water or Diet Coke. I won't drink champagne because, obviously, look, we're on the air again. E got to be a pro on this. I can't just I can't just mailed it. S O. Here's what went on today now because of this stock shorting. That involves Mets owner Steve Cohen because his hedge fund invested a lot of money into one of the company's Melvin capital that is at the center of this, and he was losing about a billion dollars in this situation. So either Steve Cohen's a bad guy because he's involved in something that has a lot of day traders upset or he's a guy who is the victim because he's lost a billion dollars. So let's deal with it from from the sports perspective here. Where, where we can kind of encapsulate a couple of things number one AM I worried this is gonna affect the Mets? Or or people worried. This is going to affect the mess because that's number one thing, Boy. He just lost a billion dollars. Would this affect the team's payroll and not be able to pay for people Because we just watch the Wilpons on the team? And after they got caught in the Ponzi scheme, they had no money for anything. I'm telling you, it's not going to affect anything. It's not gonna affect baseball. It's not. I don't care if Dave Portnoy from bar Stool Sports is so upset. He wants the Mets thrown out of Major League baseball and going needs to be put in jail. All this crazy that it's not going to affect the Mets. Because Cohen is worth $15 billion. He can afford to lose $750 million and it not be a big deal. And he was one of those JAG owners like that one of those JAG billionaire owners of ya gotta add worth like $2 billion, Do you Can't even buy a sports team and get out here if you believe you're one of them, or hey, I'm upon the part owner of this team, don't you? Only with like 17 other people because you're only worth like $750 million. Well, yeah, but get out of here, man. I mean, this guy is worth $15 billion. It does not gonna make a difference. All right, the Mexico. Still the Mets are still going to go give Trevor Bauer $300 Million and it Xhaferri of of the day that he had giving this money to Melvin Capital. He's gonna give half that to Trevor Bauer for 10. Years. He's got the money. I am not worried. I mean, unless you know the feds show up. I am not worried about that part of it because he is worth so much money. I know it's amazing deal, but here's the problem is that there's class action lawsuits already being filed on, But here's Here's my point about Mike and this. This is why I'm not worried about the legal part of it, too. Is that This is such a public thing that's happened if if something happened, that was illegal. I think we would have known about that by now. I don't think Steve Cohen is on Twitter talking about the day and saying, Hey, bad I'm not feeling the love you know, from from stock market friends today. I mean, he's his column is Canby. He's on Twitter going. Hey, I'm not feeling the love here from you guys while you guys so mad at me. Why does everybody hate the Mets? It was really that illegal, I would have to think something else would have because this is not how criminals get caught right criminals get caught wide out in the open here. You don't catch a guy with a bag of money in the spotlight's on committees, and that and the footprints walking away from the from the back. No, this is something that was really out in the open. Hedge funds are very aggressive, and they're very controversial. It's like suddenly people are all the guys a hedge fund investors now you kind of knew that about him. Okay? You kind of knew that this is the business he was in. If it was really Illegal. What was going on? I have to think and again, this is just me. Seeing when something public comes out like this, If it was illegal, and it was something good, it would be a different story. Steve Cohen wouldn't be talking about it. It would be something where you would see a It would be a flash bang headline where police are investigating this and here come here come the authorities, But there's been none.

Just when Mets thought they hired the right man, they fired Jared Porter as GM after harassing texts to female

"And is the new york. Mets general manager jared porter. He was one of the rising stars in major league baseball and now he is unemployed. Always good the mets looked like they were on their way. They're reinvesting in the team and now he's unemployed because he was doing some offensive things and this is Interestingly enough like almost five years ago that he did it and now it's come back to haunt him and it's So last month he was hired as the mets. Gm and jared porter was fired for sending sexually explicit uninvited text messages and images to a female reporter in two thousand sixteen when he was still in the cubs. Front-office espn reported late monday. That porter sent dozens of unanswered texts to the woman including a picture of quote an erect naked penis in. Espn said. It obtained a copy of the text history. Many of the messages and photos he said were displayed in the report online. And so new. Mets owner steve cohen terminated porter in my initial. Press conference spoke about the importance of integrity. And i meant it. There should be zero tolerance for this type of behavior. And it's a. It's it's saddens me to think about the woman in question because she was a foreign correspondent who had moved to the us to cover major league baseball. And i guess. She met porter at yankee stadium. They spoke briefly about international baseball. The exchange business cards now the only time they actually ever spoke but then ported starts with texts like text a palooza complimenting her looks inviting her to meet him in different cities that he was traveling to asking. Why are you ignoring me. And then after he sent a lewd picture she had to ignore sixty more messages and then a vote. The vulgar photo that was basically straw that broke camel's back and the woman actually went back to her home country and left her job. That i mean the whole thing is sad but to think that the woman With everything that was done by porter here allegedly that that contributed to her decision to leave journalism altogether and return to her home country at just so sad across the board.

Report: New York Mets GM admits explicit texts to female reporter

"Report tonight and they have a lot of it verified by Jared Porter himself. Jared Porter is the Mets general manager who was hired by Sandy Alderson when he came in to run baseball operations following Steve Cohen bought the team. Well, According to this ESPN report, Jared Porter sent explicit unsolicited text and images to a female reporter in 2016 when he was with the Cubs that culminated with a picture of an erect Naked male member this, according to a copy of the text history that was obtained by ESPN. Here's the details, and then I'll tell you why. I can't believe he hasn't been let go. Already. The woman was a foreign correspondent who moved to the United States to cover Major League baseball. They had a chance meeting in an elevator. And she thought Jared Porter yellow. Jared Porter is working for the Cubs, and she was making a connection in networking. So they exchange information. Uh, that's the only time they actually spoke, was in that elevator when they met. So then Jared Porter and this woman start texting with each other and he text her. Hey, we should get together. We should have a drink, and he's texting her a lot, right. He's texting her a lot. And she's responding once every you know if you text Hey, let's get it. Let's have a drink. Let's do this. Let's do that on. They didn't meet for a drink. One night after said she could meet with him Jared Porter, sending unsolicited selfie of himself just a selfie of himself. It's me in this picture is in the ESPN article, and he wrote back like And she didn't respond. Uh Then he texted the next day saying, Why aren't we hanging out? You're so pretty. Do you have a boyfriend? It could be me on this is going on now for a few days. After she sent a selfie Now she sends a selfie back to him. And Porter responded. You're gorgeous. You want more of me? She said yes. Explaining the ESPN. I thought it would be awkward to say no, I didn't think of where it would progress. Then Porter sent three pick. Yeah, this is where l k doors opened an escalating quickly horses out of the barn. Porter then sent three pictures, including the first of several that would show a man lying on a bed with a bulge in his pants. The woman was initially confused. Quarter wrote like she laughed again and texted. Yes, though she told ESPN Shin and realized the intention of the photo taken. You're not married, she asked. So okay, so here's little bit of him, sending a lot of text and it seems a little weird Stalker ish and some stuff you wouldn't send. But she is sending back to him, and she's sending things like yes, and liking pictures that he sent So then she realizes that things were getting to a sexual nature and she doesn't respond. Quarter than saying. This is this is the big deal. Porter then sent 62 unanswered texts. 62, including seven photos. That included the final nude photo of a naked male member. Now. When Jared Porter was asked about this, he admitted sending the text and then when he was asked, Are these pictures of you? He said, No. Those air stock images so apparently the Cassis I went on Twitter and found a stock image of I went looking for male members everywhere. It's all I got to use. This one wanted representative, I guess. Yeah, I gotta get going. Does that have that? Have a birthmark? Does that of this was And so that's what he said. He said Then, when ESPN told them we're running a story on this, Do you want to comment? Jared Porter stopped and didn't call them back. The Mets released a statement tonight saying they have spoken with Jared Porter, and they will have Maura after they do their own investigation with this now, obviously, this is just happening, and you can make an argument in the in the in the first part of it that Well, what was he overboard? She have sent those texts? No, he shouldn't have. But she did send back responses that were in the positive of Yes. So he thinks, okay, I'm cool, sending these images to you, and then when she cuts it off, that's where things get back because then 62 texts. That go unanswered. And then you're still still sending naked pictures of of male members. Uh, yeah. You know Jared Porter, I think you've had your last day Has Mets GM. I mean, I know what happened when you were with the Cubs. I understand that. But this is a horrible optic that the Mets don't need the entire time. He's GM Who's gonna take him seriously, who forget about whatever charge you might face for stalking or Harassment. Whatever it is, Uh, really? You're gonna keep this guy around. I just don't see it. I mean, I just don't know. Is it gonna happen in 12 hours is going to happen in 10 minutes, but the Mets can't go forward him is the G M. Because at the very least, this is a really bad optic. They don't need that. Just going to embarrass the entire organization and they need to say you know what? Jared, I'm sorry. But, boy, this is too much for us and good luck and you're done and we're gonna have a new GM. And we're gonna call Jason Smith that Fox Sports radio because he's got a finger on the pulse. "And right now here and now words From important people are critical and vital. And now here, Scott Waris I don't know if you heard it there, but, um, the pronunciation of the Senate Majority leader, did you? Did you catch that Lemma, Hugh? We were saying it wrong. He is a free agent nets are in the front running for him. Of course they are. Because they got the Steve Cohen. Is he the one who bought it? Yeah. What the Mets Meet the Mets greet them. It's you know, the one interesting thing. This is kind of inside baseball, literally and figuratively. I heard it. Maybe can ask this a mad Paulie before Brewers weekly during the always entertaining crosstalk segment about 8 58. 7 58 on Thursday. I've heard it that because Steve Cohen, who bought the New York Mets was not a baseball owner last year. The Mets are operating from a From a more advantageous financial perspective because Steve Cohen took no losses last year, whereas you have all these other owners Who as long as they were owners last year. How's it could point they took a loss, some sizable sum not as sizable. But all the other baseball owners took losses. He wasn't a baseball owner last year. So he's not starting from a point of loss. I don't know. I heard that and so maybe does that Give him give them that's even more of an advantage in the money they can spend? I don't know. I remember when he bought the team. He said Something on the lines of I didn't buy this team to make money. I have enough money. So we're here to actually turn the ship. Oh, enough. A lot of teams make money, though. I mean a lot of teams make money. It's really interesting because when you talk sports ownership I heard it put this way, and I heard it really, really well, you have to score boards. There's the I'm running a business is my business making money. If you're a business owner and your profitable would you not consider that a successful business but in sports? The other scoreboard as it were is the Wins and losses. Are you a successful sports team? Are you winning games? Are you vying for championships? Are you a championship caliber organization on the field or on the court or on the diamond or on the pitch or whatever the Venue is I never thought of it that way. And I I heard it put that way recently. I thought that's really something you never think about because these are indeed. Businessman and business women. That are involved in these decisions and You know, teammates suck on the field, but they're making some money. I don't know if anybody made money this past year with covert. I guess I'm thinking right now. Baseball strictly but Speaking of covert FDA has sent out another note from Saturday heads up, everyone more than ever Watch out for fake covert products. The reason these things are out there. Obviously because they're finding some people to get suckered into buying these things. If that wasn't the case. Then it it wouldn't be an issue. The Food and Drug Administration has gotten ahead of snake oil salesman who've been trying to peddle fake coronavirus related products in recent months. Even going so far as to throw images of these junk items on to flicker so you can see them up close. The FDA also says it's already issued warning letters to the vendors associated with these fraudulent medicines while keeping a watchful eye out for more and side note here, I imagine when we get much, much closer to actually being able to go and get the vaccine You're gonna get more products like this pop up? Yes, come on in. This is as good of the vaccine or maybe even some people say this is the vaccine and it's not. I don't know. Here's some of the goofiest ones that the FDA has flagged this phony. This one is called Virus BioShield. It's from a firm called Rats. Army. It's an oil like substance. With claims it's full of vitamins, anti accidents and helpful minerals and which quote exhibits antibacterial, antiviral and anti fungal properties. It suppresses tumor growth. Steve on the show in April of two thousand eighteen and we just republished that episode. It's near the top of your podcast queue. You should check it out. They have an amazing story anyway since we talked to them in two thousand, eighteen wayfair has become profitable and despite anticipating huge challenges during this economic crisis. Wayfair has actually done pretty well as people start. To beef up their home offices, I spoke neurosurgeon Steve About Wafers unexpected success during this economic crisis and how that's changed their business practices. Let's start by taking back to sort of March. How did you begin to plan for presumably the worst at that point? What were some of the steps you took, Neeraj Yeah. So obviously, when covid started, there's a whole lot of uncertainty. We kind of decided a few things. One was, how do we keep our supply chain up and running? So we can take care of our customers. So we implemented a lot of safety protocols that actually worked out very well because we're able to keep running and keep everyone healthy. And Safe. Second thing is from a liquidity standpoint. We didn't know what was going to happen next. So we actually decided to raise money. So he raised five, hundred, thirty, five, million dollars in hindsight we didn't need. But at the time, you don't exactly know what's going to happen, and so we did that we did that very quickly over two week period, and so I think that put us in a in a great position, and then we had a big scramble to get everyone productively working from home who was involved with the supply chain, and so all of our three thousand people in customer service who corporate team, and so there was kind of. Like a bit of a of Mad Dash in the beginning to get everything well situated, but we have eighteen and they they they really rallied didn't a fantastic job. It sounds like you had anticipated that you were going to face a serious slowdown and that's why you raise the cash to presumably to help you through what you anticipated was going to be a slowdown down our worry was actually we didn't even know what the governmental regulations we're going to be my perhaps we'd be shut down. You know we we didn't actually know government sending what was essential what was not essential there's a question at some points about perhaps the carrier networks won't carry. Certain. Types of packages, not other types of packages and we knew so we didn't have answer, but we had uncertainty, and so we reacted to that and then the notion of a slowdown certainly was on on our minds. Obviously what's happened it's quite different but more of a boom but we didn't know that at the time

"It's like with the new owner should be able to come in there and flip that entire thing on its head. I would like to think yes, but, boy with the way you're talking, you sound like that That entire team is cursed for the rest of their existence. Is that what you're thinking? I look, the Wilpon ownership has not been fruitful for the New York and I think the hope in the expectation is that when you get new owners and their things are going to change now, Steve Cohen had a deal in place to buy the mats. You know, six months ago. I don't even know how long ago Now it was, but it was for $2.6 billion, and that deal ended up falling through because The Wilpons wanted to maintain some sort of control, not not a controlling stake, but they wanted to maintain a piece of the team for the next five years. And Steve Collins like No, No, no, I want your stink off this place. So deal falls through. Now it's down to Steve Cohen, who's back in the bidding, and Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez, which is going to be you know an awfully interesting Waiting to see who ends up getting this team one of the one of the important points here, pack a rod in jail on a rotten jail or bidding against Steve Cohen. Or there with Steve. Whatever they are. They're bidding against Steve Cohen. There they are Bidding alongside, like the Vitaminwater Guy 2.5 Million A rod, ease up. They've gotta have a quite a have a team around there like a financial. Yeah, Yeah, No, they got they got money. People listen, a Rod's worth money. J. Lo is worth a lot Oh, yeah, but but no, they've got like people whose net worths And with a bee around them like they're some billionaire's there in that and see the thing with Steve Cohen is he's a billionaire by himself. When you're the guy with the billions who is leading the group. It's much easier to, you know, to accept you as the moneyman that there's fear. Among baseball people that when you have someone at the forefront, who's not the main money person that that can end up being a fractured ownership group in that, Yeah, you don't want fighting among owners about who has control of the team, so there's always that that they want to avoid. But the Wilpons of the ones who were choosing who to sell this, too, and the indication is that Alex Rodriguez has no problem keeping Jeff Wilpon. On in some sort of Ah, you know, secondary or lower left where you do. It has zero desire to do that. So you've got you've got these elements with the Mets that have to do with the Wilpons continuing to remain in the pictures from a rock. What do you want? You want a chair? But Yeah, that's the one office. No problem at all, though I'm getting on a t me. I do. Whatever the hell you want to do a door to billion dollars and we stink and let me let me say this to you. You're shocked by the $2 billion number two. Million dollar numbers a $2 billion number for two reasons. New York That's AH, that's realistic. You have. It doesn't matter if it is a secondary professional team in New York. It's still a professional sports team in New York, and there's only but a hand a couple handfuls of those and they are Valuable because of the location before last night. How could he be that inept and still be worth? That's why that's why It's inspiring, I guess than idiots are able to make that much money, but it's still like, what are we doing here? I'm sorry. Good Jeff before last night, did Manfred like You think he was just sitting like I'm a really good, really, really good commission. And that came out last night. He was like, Wait. GM in this league. Think that about me or is he known this for a long time that people think that he just is a terrible leader? A no positive covert test games going on? I mean, Rob Manfred has knocked on a press conference where he's completely shoved his foot in his mouth lately, And then last night, all of a sudden, just ricochet shot Rob Manford on a hot mike. I wonder. Does he know that people hate him? That's great question digs. I just want to see digs do his rob Manford imitation again where he goes. Hey, I feel good about myself. Good. He knows like, you know, Rebecca is a very smart guy. There's self awareness there when Jeopardy. Smart. He's jeopardy. Smart, not wheel of fortune smart what you're saying? I mean, he's like lawyer smart, So there's like like this is you know what lawyer Smart is? Life? What is annoying, Smart. Yeah. You know what That is exactly what it is. It does feel like though the MLB After that early Marlins catastrophe, which we have, an inside source has told Zito the story if that's true. That'll get out some point and that would be wild to talk about is a sports talk show on a daily basis. But aside from that, a couple other teams that have had cases zero positive cases right now feels like they're having games. Some games. Aaron postpone trying to get to the playoffs. MLB has to be very, very satisfied with how the return to play has happened. I think you know they had the cardinal's outbreak to and that was no good, but they had a positive test with the Mets and that didn't spread. They've had positive tests. Ah, God, It's like it happened so frequently now the Reds and it didn't spread and the fact that they're now with no positive tests, and with a month left in the season, they're gonna bubble for the playoffs path where I'm gonna be. Yeah, I mean, it's gonna like the plan right now is at the end of the season for the last week. Even if you are at home, you're going to be staying in a hotel. And the reason for that is they want to essentially get these teams isolated from everyone so they can fly down to Texas or California. I think the NFL playoffs are going to be in Houston in Arlington is the plan The Ale playoffs are going to be In L, A. And San Diego perhaps, and they are going to, uh, you know, they're gonna They're gonna bubble essentially and then the world Siri's at this point, and all likelihood is going to be neutral Site. Arlington, Texas, Not in stone yet, but Players air are talking about it. They're getting through the details that include hair. We're going to be allowed to bring families in and what the protocol is going to be. But I think at this point a bubble is a fate accompli and baseball will have made it through the regular season. Ah, hopefully and there, I would guess that this point I'm up to 75%. They're going to crown a champion this year, and that's a lot higher than I would have ever thought I was going to say you were super negative med there for a long time. But now you're saying photo fate accomplish a fado? What is that? What was that? Fate accompli. That means we're doing it. Rob Manfred would know what that means. Yeah, he's thinks so..

"At one time, good people don't smoke marijuana. Which of these people would say are not good people? Let me explain how that occurred all right the next quickly. John Talk about a good person, George Pataki. Rick Santorum Newt Gingrich Ted Cruz Jeb. Bush George Bush Arnold Schwarzenegger Judge Clarence Thomas. Which of those are not good people, even so gracious with your time, but I have one final question for you. There are so many issues right now. Facing our country and I'm wondering from your perspective. What do you think is the most per sway safe reason? Reason to vote for. Democrats instead of just against Republicans this year. Well because Democrats believe a caring for consumers caring for working people care for the majority of people in the country and Republicans care about voting for the corporate CEO's The corporate boards and the people who have power now. That is their base I think it was George Bush. You spoke up at some black tie dinner. Rich rich people there and he said this is my base. and. That is the base of the Republican. Party is not the Labor. Unions is not the bombs against moms demand that all those groups so Democrats do care about Justice Democrats care about giving people an opportunity to participate in the American grain to get a chance. They believe in fairness, and they believe in folks getting positions that are skilled and capable of doing the job, and not just handed it out to political lackeys. That will have a job and do what the president tells them to do. You know that the Senate's right now they're trying to approve worn more judges and. They've got the thirty eight year old address Bar Association, said experience to be District Court judge. He's Buddy Kavanagh's and he's a buddy of McConnell's make district position in Kentucky. He only had it for about six months. And now they WANNA put him on the most important appellate court in the United States American agents. He'll be there forever. They, put Sicher cabinet making putting the supreme. Court and he's one that says that they should be able a maintain memberships in the federal society, which many thanks to be in any society as a judge. Tilt your perspective and your independent judgement, so Democrats are for everything good, and we're for chocolate, hot, sandy burgers and fries and What Congressman I love your passion I love your honesty. And we are so blessed to have you representing the people in Tennessee's ninth congressional district, and I so appreciate everything that you're fighting for right now and the way in which you're doing it, which I think is really important, because not only do you have empathy and you lead from a place of service, but also you're just really smart, and you're clearly in this for the right reasons. Reasons and I. Thank you so much for your time today and for being a part of the podcast I. Thank you for what you said and I. Appreciate you do as a public citizen of so important to continually try to rally people and get their consciousness raised and up on the right issues, and honestly one last thing Nancy Pelosi, and probably most of your listeners know this. At stoked every time, I'm around her or hear her. She s just the most phenomenal to really when she's the most phenomenal political leader where we can have imagine that she had such a great job. She's eighty years old Mississippi. Missed opportunity to speak up for people to speak the truth on national TV. She never gets tired should never lose his or cool. She is unbelievable. Talk about a leader rising to the occasion. I mean every step of the way. She has been here and done it with such grace. I heard the president. Say I deserve to be the speaker I. Don't want anybody deserves. It's not about what you have done. It's what you can do. And you know what else I'm not sure. She has or has had anyone to emulate in that position as women. We don't have a lot of mentors that are other women that can guide how we lead. and. We're kind of always making it up as we go along and that's. I think why unfortunately you know you see a lot of women that have to play the game that has been set up by men, and then someone like Speaker Pelosi comes along. And figures it out figures out how to do it gracefully and gives me hope therefore I could be that for my daughter or young activists and the rising generation, and I'm glad you got emotional, because you know what that's what we need right now. We need people to get emotional. People are dying every day thirty million people out of work, and you know what before that eight out of ten people lived paycheck to paycheck. We're not in a good place. The disparity wealth is disgraceful and the idea that the congress would vote for it. In our wage, you look the people that are the front line, people, the nurses and the grocery stores people in the warehouse people. They should get fifty in the corporate. CEO's are making twenty five thirty five million dollars who they make they are. I mean it's just absurd. Allots come out of this. Maybe people realize that the inequities, our health system health is also based on finance and we've got too many people making too much of the trump tax scam gave so many people. Have percentage of that MC ninety percent went to the upper two percent society and trump to himself in the other rich be. That's what it was. We got an oligarchy bone in this country in to head sometimes I look at AFC and I think what you're saying is truth. It's not gonNA come about kneecap soon because we got too many people in here who are working for the man. That's what they basically do. They don't even think about doing anything different because they're just happy to be a cog in the wheel and look in the mirror and look at me and I'm here. This is what I do, but the system is messed up right now too much money. Too Much genuflection to power and the power of money, and that doesn't need to continue and hopefully someday get the. I won't be Ramal Lifetime. Maybe during yours, you know what kills me right now is that? We have opened up the country and. The unequal sacrifice. It's more inequity the fact that the people that do not have the luxury of staying at home for another couple of months. They're gonNA be the ones that go back to work and we're. GonNa lose more of those people, and no life is disposable, and there is any quality in every aspect, and now we're seeing sacrifice and equality, and it's not okay. And Democrats WON'T STAND FOR THAT WE'LL TRY to change it and make things fair. That's by Eddie Devote for Democrats and I'll be right by your side. There seemed to be some universal fundamental things that we look for. If. We're GONNA follow somebody. Four seem to dominate the list. Everybody's lips think about your own lists. We WanNA follow. People who fundamentally we experience as being honest. They tell the truth. Now, don't get me wrong. Not Everybody tells the truth, but you know what happens to your level of motivation when you find out that you've been lied to. It deteriorates pretty good. What else do we look for in? People would be willing to follow. We look for people who are competent. Lot of different words you can use competent, smart, capable experienced have good judgment. How many of YOU WANNA? Follow somebody? That's stupid. House. So. We have some personal candidates in mind here, but. You can think about what happens when you don't believe that somehow you're working for somebody. That really knows what they're talking about again. You're not as motivated to do what they ask. You don't follow through route Suet as much energy as you might otherwise..

"Measures, and we're going to have to have more and more if people money, so they can pay their house now, and that's another thing we're having. The bill is some relief for people on their mortgages, and on their rent set up a fund that can keep these people from being put out of their houses, and not make their landlords or their mortgage, yours responsible eat it as well and have a fund that takes care of that, but we are very very very dangerous times, and we're GONNA. Spend a lot of money on this. We need to and I'm a big devotee of Paul. Krugman and pregnant. Thanks. We could spend all the money we need. The interest is about zero and that this needs to be done is not gonNA affect our economy down the line, but we get dance as soon as a Democrat gets an office, the Republicans to go back to your old mantra about deficits and debt. We have because they want to spend money on infrastructure because on a Democratic president to do it, but we need to do infrastructure and Peter Defazio. The Chairman of our Transportation Committee has got an outstanding plan I was being cared one and didn't get. They're not gonNA. Make here's to. We don't know where everything we're doing is contracting with Corona viruses done to? Get, more difficult for people to get through this economy and just survive day to day and our out, so it's hard to provide for these jobs when we need to be providing for basic levels of existence, I feel like infrastructure to I mean that's kind of the one issue that I feel should have bipartisan support, but still every single administration. It seems to turn. Political transportation has always. Always been bipartisan that committee at Democratic Shares Republican shares. We've all worked together. And everybody got something out of the bill, and everybody had concern consideration for supporting airports supporting Rose Railroad Union and we all had something in it, and we continue to Congress used to have something called earmarks, and we should have earmarks most people in Congress WanNa. Most Republicans are afraid to be forum publicly. Article Once as the Congress shout procreate the money's. And we appropriate the money we give them president. Ministration Federal Immigration and some of the money to the states which are elected officials governors Cetera, then they decide where things are going to be spent and the congressman, no in their districts as well, if not better than the governor in state or the President Survey. Are Distance. What's most important and what can make a difference there? And we cut those out about twenty ten. That took a lot ability for people to work together that make people work together because everybody had something in the bill they wanted. Wasn't that much money and speaker, Pelosi made sure that they were playing up at the end, and still the Republicans wouldn't go for somebody said. Earmarks the grease that makes the machine Rod. And it was. It was the oil grease that made the machine function at raw and without it. We're stuck and we're not doing well. Can you explain to my listeners? What you're? Congress people have a chance to say x amount of money. And it was not necessarily given out on a per member basis, but a lot on seniority and a lot of where you stood on minority, majority of majority usually got like sixty percent of the earmarks minority got forty percent. They divvied them up. They were divvied up based on seniority, etcetera, etcetera etcetera, but you could say procreate in aggression appropriations bill million dollars to the University of Memphis for a health sciences of program, concerning grown virus in its effect on minority in our community. Whenever you wanted to do study or program added mind at the medical school here in Matheson. They did certain studies. You Tennessee, medical. Medical Schools in Memphis some with the University of Memphis, trying to do some things with alternative energies, there were some we're not as good as others. They needed to be monitored and there was the quote Unquote Bridge to nowhere, which was an expensive bridge in Alaska service a lot of people, but it was called for what s the in the congressman's district and he got it, and there was some other roads that were at some people, and that poisoned people's minds about the system, and they got revolve, but they should have been were transparent and more circumspect. Add more evenly distributed so the each district for the money's, and of course the senators had remarks in the Senate. But it only came to about one and a half or two percent of the entire budget. which is not a lot when you consider the corner, thirty five members Congress nine hundred senators make the budget in one and a half percent, or whatever goes to Crouch Exeter. Once that the congresspeople no report of their district that should be the way it is otherwise you skip it up to bureaucrats or federal elected president of take the funds and put it into a wall for nowhere while the no use. And he took months money appropriated for defense projects, military families, and took that money to build his wall on the southern border, which is not A. A wall with stop immigration. It's a Waldo appeal. The people that don't know that the immigrants the people after picking our vegetables and helping in those factories and packing up those goods to put on the trucks to get to us today that we need to exist during this pandemic, we should have more understanding of jobs than immigrants do for us that are so important to our daily existence. I mean they're out there. Doing it and a lot of immigrants are working in nursing homes and helping out. Our older citizens are parents, grandparents whatever they are essential. In every sense of the word, the fabric of this country, and what we were founded upon what we were built upon and what we consider. Of value now we can't do it without immigrants. They truly are essential to this country. When I was first, elected would progress people for selected traditionally. Go to both. Three stay school at Harbour Regan Bunch of. Really Brilliant, people talk to you about different issues that are important and there was the head of the armored. John F. Kennedy School of Government. Was a demographer and he I remember. Growth rate is not anywhere near what it needs to be to continue to be the greatest economic power in the world, and we need immigration, and we need lots and lots of immigrants to come to give us the workers that we need to be the economic power that we have been, and we have not had those immigrants that we needed a now. "Though. Morita the question of when it comes on when you're younger than athlete will. Your bigger during the goal is to achieve. Actually I was just thinking about this. I used to have this like. I don't know way back when when you had like. Msn Messenger thing or ICQ like those instant messaging things on your computer like my little bio thing was like pro volleyballer end like it was kind of a joke. 'cause like I didn't even know what that meant at the time. Just like yeah. That sounds good. Like Appropriately but had no idea like how it was going to get there what that bed so I guess I was always like kind of an idea in the head but actually was kind of a nerd in high school actually was planning to be a chemist I went to university with the intention of that and volleyball took over my life so okay so when you say you're going to be him if like how do you feel that working out like Nafta type stuff like why can't we be wasn't entirely sure but I just chemistry high school. I started my first year at college in my hometown. Action with the intention doing or years volleyball but graduating ending chemistry after the whole course life change. That's awesome so so you had your MFN bio theme Pro Volleyball Claire. So when you wrote that in life started happening had you start thin are i. How can I make this reality? Yeah I think Actually like I was just trying to remember when I started playing volleyball. I think I was about while which is crazy now to think about says while is actually been two decades now. I've been playing volleyball thirty. Two ounce so yeah. It's Kinda crazy but I think the starting kind of jump off point for me was when I made team be see from. Abc and I made that provincial team when I was like or teen I think and Is your calling you very raw. Was the word they used for Terrible but I jumped really high back then. I guess I'd potential so they took me and I didn't interview That year the year after something for them I think it had something like one day. I WANNA wear like a maple leafs on my back in fourteen candidate ahead said that Ben in nearly no like what it took to get there but eventually became a path so dover I know there's Tony was the have the application you know. They say. I want to be in Olympia and I WANNA don't own and do all these things. People atoms dry. Yeah like you can't do that to. How did you keep your mind? That like may laugh at my drain on a chase them all like originally when I started playing volleyball. I didn't even really WANNA play Bible like I started dance when I was like three years old. So I dance all the way up until the end of my high school. And my mom had kinda like encourage Mir Gently pushed me to play volleyball and at the time like basketball. More which is binding workers like ended up deciding basketball's too much running for me so I ended up. I was doing all three things. That was dancing. Anos playing volleyball and basketball into high school and then I can window basketball and then faced out dance. Bowling Ball's seemed like a better future option to go with so I started college. I graduated sixteen so a super young and I had offers to go to other schools like in the states and other Kadian universities ended up wanting to just stay home and I had really good the program at it was actually called back in but it's the UCLA now University of British Columbia Okanagan so that was in Colona and the coach was Steve. Manual was one of my mentor coaches still to this day. He kind of had a big role to play in my progression volleyball. So after my first year there recruited to go to U B C in Vancouver with Doug Rhymer in his team and it was kind of scary. Move to consider and I went to a two years with Steve Cohen than ended up making a transfer to UC Vancouver in coober into the it's called CIS fact then it's like all changed Old Sport now like a Canadian University system so I ended up going there my third year and after my first year there. I actually got invited to try out for the national team so just kind of like crazy because after my first year. Ub See a lot of the players on ABC. Were playing on the national team or not was. Kinda like became more of a realistic goal. I guess you'd say and I was like you know maybe after a couple more years like chance tryout and it was just kind of a really strange process how I ended up getting a tryout and then ended up making it and as when I was nineteen and so things just took off from there. Wow so he graduated at fifteen Lloyd. just win for team into transitioning to the next level. Yeah so like when I started I was still kind of didn't really have the idea like my first year. I was like okay. I'm going to chemistry and whatever tall Canadian still pretty nerdy. Still Pretty that. I think when I got recruited to go to the CIS and go play for a UPC IN VANCOUVER. That was kind of like okay. Maybe things can kind of progressing go ahead and they gotta also the gentle nudge from my coach. There Steve Manual. That you know you can stay here but basically I'm kicking out because I want you to go play at the higher level and Sierra potential so that was kind of Mike Start off point in the program with Doug Rhymer Jesse Knight was coach at the time and they really Hannah propelled my career in and getting me onto the national team and then I ended up finishing up two more years with. Ub See we won two national championships back to back. Actually and then they went onto win for more after I graduated in a row but Selena was kind of the start of my national team career when I was nineteen and then just retired from that like a year ago. So I'm relying on your La- calendar something you said if you ride a story about your journey it will be. I believe instead a decade of venture. But when you when you wrote that in your mind what we've thinking it's just kind of funny actually because I saw graduated from U B C in two thousand nine and then a number of the national team and then went to play pro for my first season abroad. Enso's like the two thousand nine going into two thousand. Ten was my first year in Europe. I was in Spain and the Canary Islands with my teammates Page and it was just like my funniest stories of life and pro. Come from this season it was just like so ridiculous in so many ways home at Christmas. Like almost didn't come back but when back and finish it out and yeah just finding those kind of the start of my career so the last decade now as I go back and forth on wrapping up in this decade. But yet it's just been. I've been all over Europe late in the Philippines. It's been ten years eleven years with team Canada and yet it's just been a lot of adventures all over the world so I think that sums it up for me your password. Kobe just ridiculous. I've had to in that time. Also pretty full of awesome so going back to the volleyball in making the kind of play with higher compensation had you again was an adjustment to your mentality how you approached the game or the always the same I think definitely I mean developed. I think even from kind of a young age I had like sort of athletic discipline instilled into me. If you from LIKE DANCE. Three in that was like a very disciplined Pity so I think I just always kind of had that. I think that's just part of my character. Personality is kind of like the athlete mindset but definitely like as I progressed higher up in levels that kind of became more of like my dreams once I made team Canada became okay analysis become an Olympian and so that was the focus and that sort of worked towards a win to two Olympic qualifiers A. Twenty twelve in two thousand sixteen. Very narrowly missed the twenty. Sixteen qualification end. So that was pretty heartbreaking but that was kind of the goal that was like why played volleyball was always to hopefully get to the Olympics. One day and that was Kinda what fueled him what. Push me through a lot of difficult times for sure and persevered through a lot of things and a lot of crazy seasons abroad in Europe pro. And and all that but Yeah I think that was always. My dream unfortunately didn't happen but had a lot of a lot of adventures along the way trying to get

"Of the owners management employers to advertisers, WC VM, but they should be broadcasting from the underground command post deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker, somewhere under the brick and steel of a nondescript building, we've once again made contact with our leader. You're listening to the Memorial Day edition of the best of the marklevinshow. Hello, everybody, Mark Levin here. Our number eight seven seven three eight one three eight one one eight seven seven three eight one three eight one one. Steve Cohen is one of many court gestures up there. And they democrat caught because of the house of representatives. You remember me him? He's the fried chicken guy. And when he's gone from the house when he's gone from the good green earth. That's what he'll be remembered for. He'll be the fried chicken guy. Anyway, Steve Cohen is on Capitol Hill, roaming around, like a homeless person. And Keri Pickett, who is a great reporter. She confronts him. I know she doesn't work for CNN or MSNBC, or the Knicks limes of the Washington compost, all the rest of it. She works for the daily caller is I recall. She's a real reporter. Let's listen to this exchange cut. Fifteen go. Democrats.

"Didn't work. Give me your thoughts on this. Rick. I've just got one question. Why is gotta be so many of these special interest government type Bruce now, there's this LGBTQ grew out of Texas in the government. I don't understand it. I thought that you know, holidays were elected tours represent us. All. And not not anymore. It's it's who gets me elected in I represent them and everybody else can pretty much go to hell. Well, I mean, look at Steve Cohen, great example, Steve Cohen is is has isolated so many of his constituents. If you even ask him a question, I keep blacks you on social media. He only responds the people that love him are obsessed with them. I mean, I mean, literally, I mean, Mr. relevant in Washington chicken little Steve Cohen is is a guy that spends his time trolling people like me telling, you know, getting it supporters who come after me who literally tell me to Email anatomy to do it. And then he defends them and says these proud that he supports them. And when they tell me this this is Steve Cohen. So the point is it really just kind of answered it south. You get my point one of my kids calls his office every week every week. Well, be careful the block you that your kids number soon. She started getting some weird calls and stuff like that. Yeah. Even a middle initial and she said, I never told them what my middle initial was. They trust me. They got government info they can get on anybody. They want my friend. I just don't understand all this special. I I would I would I don't understand is why it has become so contentious to the point where they literally wanted to you know, shut down businesses and flex their muscles. Like a accomplish something. That's what I don't understand. I mean, what chick fillet does not discriminate against people nothing. They don't do anything to discriminate. And their chickens, really good too. There. There are a lot. And I mean, a lot of companies that may not agree with me. Right. I mean, there are there are a lot of companies that may not agree with me. And what I believe in. I may not agree with them. I still go there. I feel if it's a restaurant. I have no idea what some restaurants believe in. Right. But it doesn't really matter to me because I'm not psycho. Now, if they directly come after me, then maybe I'd be more concerned. But if but but I have no idea when I go eat where most companies are giving their money to 'cause I'm going for the food. Right. And I also their their family owned company family owned business like Chick-fil-A is they have a right to be liberal. They have a right to be agnostic. They have a right to be any religion. They wanna be I'm going there for the food. I'm not a crazy person. Darkening event, I gotta go to work. Thank you, brother. Good luck. You gotta work hard for all those people on welfare five three five nine seven three to five three five nine seven three two eight hundred number one eight hundred four seven four nine seven three to get more on this mortar phone calls just want to read a couple of different things that are coming in real quick on this one. One of you just said. Then I am a woman who has had a partner for more than thirty years. What you don't understand about? The reason why. We all go support chick fillet. Is that many of us know, the Chick-fil-A thinks that we should not exist. Again. That's not true. When did when did Chick-fil-A come out saying that you as a human being should not exist? They never said it. I deal with facts here. That's why it's never been said Chick-fil-A did not say gay people should exist. They've never said that in fact, in many ways Chick-fil-A really just doesn't talk much about politics. They shut up about it. The reason why they shut up about is. Because of these exact extreme exaggerations like from people just like you. This is exactly why. This is exactly why people roll their eyes and go. Are you kidding me? This is why. I'll go back to the comment from from this person. I cannot go to a store and shop at a place did thinks that me and my wife should not be together. And again, I know one saying you can't do that. But that's your free will I'm not saying you can't do that. So what is the big problem here? She tells me what the big problem is. From a perspective of an airport. I should not be forced to go into an airport where there is a company that believes that my life should be banned. No, one said your life should be banned. That's also ally you're going to the extreme. That's not true. I should not be subjected to bigoted organizations if I'm a student on at a public university either..

"The president. And more importantly, I respected the will of my fellow citizens, and I respect him. And I don't think she should have, you know. Look, look good. Steve Cohen today. Great example. Okay. Steve Cohen, I think is is a total hack. You look at Steve Cohen and what he did today. He he wants to get rid of the electoral college, and he wants to because he doesn't like the president doesn't like the fact that the president one in a free and fair election. So he wants to abolish the electoral college, which would go against our constitution. I have a problem with Steve Cohen doing that. Because Steve Cohen again didn't get his way. His get his way. So he wants to overthrow the government. That's not how this country works. Well, let me say that we got the respect his opinion. Just like, we respect yours. Correct. It's not an issue of an opinion. That's where you're mixing to you're mixing completely different things. I don't have a problem with someone having an opinion. Donald Trump referring to baseball players as SOB's is an opinion. Okay. He didn't. He didn't say the government should go in there and arrest them. He didn't say the government should make sure they're never allowed to play football. Again. He didn't advocate for passing a law. That says any player that Neal's is banned from playing football for life. That's what Democrats are trying to do when they say we're gonna impeach that. That mother effort. Yeah. There is a difference. One is giving an opinion one is actually tried to overthrow government. If the president would have come out there and said, I'm going I'm going to introduce legislation that bans four life football players who Neil I would be against that. There's a difference between a an opinion and and trying to pass legislation to overthrow are to take away the job of someone or to pass legislation overthrow present solely because you don't like him. That is not how freedom works. You have the freedom to an opinion. It doesn't mean you had the free, and you and we have election you have the ability to get Donald Trump out of office and less than two years. If you want to. You don't get to overthrow government. Because you didn't.

"Courage Glenn, Beck the president is now home from his summit with Vladimir, Putin and the nuclear level fallout is reaching epic. Proportions New York Times ran an article titled Trump treasonous. Trader, wow former CIA, director John Brennan tweeted that the summit was quote nothing short of, treasonous Michael Moore tweeted never mind who cares I'll save you from, the the rest of the hyperbolic freakout but maybe. Maybe just one one more, one more this one comes from, congressman Steve Cohen where our military folks the commander in chief. Is in the hands of the enemy Oh now congressman I. Don't know how you actually, meant that but it kinda sounded, like you congressman just called for a coup against the president Now then, again, Peter, Cohen, is is the guy who suggested that Peter, Struck deserved a purple heart so I should have stuck with a Michael Moore quote All right first things first yesterday's press conference with the president when Putin I believe was a disaster everything. From, what felt like. The five minute rant on collusion to praising Putin's idea of offering up his agents for questioning if we, agree to give up ours oh wait a minute I saw that Tom Cruise. Movie, where they, had a break, into the FBI to get the NOC list but you're saying you'll. Give us your not list if we give you ours I don't think so And then worst, of all the president Seemingly dissing the American intelligence agencies while citing With putin That's not good Okay I wanna make this a, very very clear to the American. People it's really okay if you think that Trump is good and yesterday was a. Disaster. Okay it's okay to admit that doesn't make you a. Trader doesn't make you anything other than thinking human. Being if you support the, president you're a hard Republican or whatever your affiliation it's perfectly legitimate to call him out here is he's screwed. Up and I think it's because of the way he thinks I can understand how we saw it, yesterday but that's the way he should have seen. It and it's actually our duty to call him out on. This I think it. Was I think it was John Adams who said it's not the government's job to keep the people in. Line it's the people's job to keep the government in. Line Praise him when he does something right like last week when. NATO criticize him when he does something wrong to act otherwise is to feed a cult of personality, mentality and that's I'm making America great again but. You know what the left you've got a cult of personality. As well yours is. Just the media I don't I don't know what you're doing but to sit here and act like Donald. Trump hasn't done anything good or worthwhile it's crazy talk Or extreme. Leftist But the reactions this morning. Are borderline insane. Treason a cool are you kidding I mean the last time I checked it's not treason to screw up. At a press, conference or to say on. Our really agree with our, guys it's not good but it's certainly not treason if. That were the case almost ninety percent of, every elected officials since seventeen ninety one would. Have spent time. In Fort Leavenworth Hyperbole is, one of if not the. Main reason why nobody takes, the media seriously anymore is why hashtag resistance movement as. Little more than a joke at this point It's also probably why Democrats are losing their lead heading into midterms yes. That was bad yesterday who really bad I don't know what he's going to do next knowing him he's going to make it actually work out fine in the end I don't like how close we're getting to the edge here and it's okay. To admit that He should have something to answer for. After this I believe he owes the intelligence community a private apology if not a public one He needs. The intelligence agencies his followup treat to, tweet after the. Uproar began is not enough But. You know what can we just toned down the exaggerated freak out We know you obviously don't realize this But media you're not hurting the president In fact I believe If Donald Trump is who, I think he is he's loving your freak out because, I think I think he believes and so, do I that you're basically guaranteeing his reelection.
