Philadelphia Eagles cannot have fans in the stands, as per Pennsylvania state order

"Teams have submitted plans for the Pennsylvania Department of Health to allow fans in the stands. The Wolf Administration is not discussing details but discourages Spectators from attending games to prevent transmission of Corona virus. Professional and college sports teams remain subject to Pennsylvania State ordered limit of fewer than 250 people on site for games and practices, meaning that Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football games cannot have fans in the stands.

Boston - Patriots’ Cam Newton Signing Made Official

"Dea think that Cam Newton on the New England patriots when everybody for the last few months or so have simultaneously thrown dirt on the Patriots and elevated the Buffalo Bills. Do you think the. You have to bet right now. Bad Online. We'll hear about them in just a second go on Ben Online. Who Are you picking in the AFC right now? Well. Let's really break down the Patriots you know we're talking about. What's going to happen now that Brady's gone? How many! Hall of Famer Potential Hall of Famer and Hall of famers and Pro Bowlers. Have left the Patriots in the last two decades. Many men meant. Yes, that's all they do. All they do is turn over personnel or for the Sidebar to that is guys. Get thrown money by other by the other thirty one teams. I'll go hill. Replicate what he did in new, England is like no, no, there's some weird Voodoo that goes on up in Foxborough. That does not translate down the Tennessee or Texas or wherever else you're talking about right, so we're not talk. You know we're not talking about. What are the dolphins going to do without Dan Marino. Because they've changed show so much personnel on the offensive and defensive side of the ball over the last twenty years that if there's any team that is poised to turn over one guy now, he's the quarterback. Obviously, that's a super important job, but if anyone has proven that, they can swap one guy out for another guy, it's the Patriots. Of Foreign. Any other organization. And proof of that for any of the cynics out there, they're ignoring I know. It was a limited sample size, but Jimmy G. One every game he ever played Jacoby perset was was good as well when he had the takeover for Brady. Yeah, it's a and you know for what it's worth. Three BLEDSOE came in way back when at the start of the Millennium and beat the steelers in in Heinz field when Brady got hurt, so there's plenty of track record that you're going to be able to plug qb in there and succeed. It is interesting though that given the way Brady plays versus the way that same position and everything else. Else but wildly different way, but people say well how how CAM GONNA fit into that New England system. Have you watched the Patriots play? They don't do the same thing weekend week out. They always change it. They're obviously GONNA change what they do to accommodate number one now.

How Will Cam Newton Make the Patriots Better?

"All right bill. We're here today to talk about the New England Patriots and Cam specifically began her. They used to film. The Cincinnati bengals sideline for which they were find over a million dollars mosque third round. Pick well the good news. Is that they've decided to uproot their entire organization and totally chance planet quarterback to bury the latest piece of evidence that there maybe not playing by the rules as everybody else. Bill Barnwell is the host of the podcast. The bill Barnwell show. You just, but there are people on the Internet positing that these events are connected. Of course. We are here today to talk about. The other came Cam Newton the New England. Patriots who could have predicted this? IS GOING TO RELEASE CAM to they're going to wait, and the Patriots are going to get him for nothing and they're going to be good. It's going to be awful in offense. It was impossible up to this point. The idea that the only team in the league that to starting quarterback might possibly make a move for the best available starting quarterback on the free agent market see Telepho-, obvious when you lay it out like that, but here's the thing it's June and according to our Adam Schefter. No other teams exception to the Browns who had some interest put in a call then New England goes out, and they get cam for basically nothing veteran minimum with incentives. How bill how? I think it's a combination of things I mean. Obviously the coronavirus has impacted team's ability to see workouts to administer physicals and Cam Newton of course as a player coming off of a serious injury, eight frank injury to the middle of his foot, which cost him pretty much. The entire two thousand nineteen season for that coming off the shoulder surgery has not been healthy in a while, and so you'd figure in a typical circumstance. He would be easy for teams to kind of see what cam has left, and then make an offer only, but there haven't really been teams able to make the sort of offers that would justify starting quarterback role. And then I think from camps perspective he rightfully would rather be making less money with the opportunity to start for the new, England Patriots say a playoff team from a year ago, then serve as a perhaps higher paid backup in a spot where he's unlikely to play. Knowing how little New England paid for him and looking back at some of the other quarterbacks who got jobs during free agency? Are there any teams that you think would have been wise to jump ahead of new? England and WHY IS IT CHICAGO? I do think that the decision to trade for Nick. Foles a player who realistically has if not Worse Injury History Than Cam Newton certainly a comparable injury history when it comes to his checkered past i. do think that the bears would have been in much better shape. Do Not trae draft pick and to sign Cam Newton for much less money than they're going to give nick foles over the next three years and I think there's a handful of teams that. That even if it happened as a backup, I think teams like the steelers. Of course you've talked about the titans as possible CAM, Newton location and I think absolutely teams like that have a veteran quarterback with a history of injuries and very little behind them in the backup role would have absolutely been smart to making move for Cam Newton, but obviously I think it's the Patriots benefit that the League has been so conservative when it's come to approach again. Let's talk about what we can expect out of canning. Which I realize, you are not a doctor, but the big question mark is you've outlined his health the last time we saw him play. Football was the beginning of the two thousand nineteen season. He only played a couple of games before his season ended due to a foot injury, he incurred during the preseason. What did you see out of Cam the last time he was healthy? The last extended stretch we saw from Cam Newton as a healthy quarterback, was the first half of twenty eighteen, and he was excellent. Newton throws. Fabio Capello Panthers one of the best teams in football at six to newton was tenth and Passer Rating Twelve Qbr and the panthers had guilty scheme that was designed to actually trying to out more quickly and leave some of the hits that candidate taking, and we saw his numbers include accordingly. SNAP TO NEWTON looking left throws it over the Middle Touchdown Greg Olsen. Cam Newton looking like a poster on feats. Assume. Thirty so frequently earlier in his career, they always posted pretty mediocre. Completion percentages in two thousand eighteen across the first half you had a completion percentage of sixty seven point three percent that was one of the best marks in football. He was averaging nearly four touchdowns for every pick producing really two hundred eighty yards per game from scrimmage. He was illegitimate MVP candidate through the first half of twenty eighteen. And then of course, the injuries struck. Labor rotator cuff just to soreness. He had a shoulder injury that led to surgery after two thousand eighteen. And then the foot injury cam stumbles Abu to the nearside. He's in trouble. Hit droplet like. Damn comes off the field limping a little bit maybe. But you tried to play through and was unable to do so.

"Ben Roethlisberger he's cleanly shaven orally she's cleaned it up if you will well the governor of Pennsylvania Tom wolf founded interesting that he went to a barber take even though they were closed to get his hair cut and says Ben really took a took a chance here when you go to something like a barber shop and then you're not protected your who your the the chances of that virus actually wreaking havoc on your life increases I personally think that any Pennsylvania to take that chance I certainly don't want to take a chance on myself and so was more a matter of concern rather than he was angry as a lot of the headlines did portrayed

"I want to read you a couple of headlines and then I'm going to play a clip for you so this is from From Fox News Ben. Rothlisberger got a haircut in the Pennsylvania. Governor is not happy for me. Spn Governor Not Happy Ben Rothlisberger one for a haircut. The Post steelers Ben. Rothlisberger has haircut ignores a political battle. Okay fine now. I'm going to play you the clip from yesterday from Tom Wolfe the Pennsylvania governor about all this versus the questions the first part of his answer. Good Eddie did you think about steelers quarterback Ben Rothlisberger. Getting his hair and beard cut. Recently at an allegheny county barbershop. Will the barbershop face? Disciplinary action is the state investigating. My concern is just a general concern. Anybody who puts himself or herself into harm's way is is something that I think we ought to try to avoid. Seems like a very reasonable answer as opposed to. He's not happy or upset with Ben. Rothlisberger done anything. The question should be. How do you feel about your medical director? Taking her mother out of a nursing on ten ten wins. I suppose battle right okay. I just want to make sure that we're all basis. I'm not saying it doesn't matter and I don't like a little tattletale like he got his haircut. What are you gonNA do about it? I mean come on. That's my point with the headlines. I thought he probably call the mound. He was ticked off. It's like what he says is right

NFL owners make changes to enhance diversity on many levels

"Them they're trying to enhance diversity in the NFL's workplace diversity committee comprised of owners and executive personal art Rooney of the Steelers is the German bills owner Gimple goal is on that committee the diversity committee work what's a person committing them the ones responsible for these changes today nothing revolutionary day stable the proposal that was out there doing set of eyes minority hires retract fix which I think everybody agrees pretty good deal but disgusting Jane there is dumb Jerry bell said last segment you're trying to do something about they recognized a problem they have a problem trying to deal with yeah they do they do and it is and I I think it's the positions become untenable you and I think certainly perhaps that in some way shape or form the the the system is somehow bad I mentioned were banter nodded shot that the pipeline is but there's no question some doesn't add up okay and I don't I don't know that it is simple is just set and now these owners don't have any black friends so they don't want to hire any black employees I I don't know because you know right the whole the whole league is filled with great people who happen to be black and white yeah I mean it's so I I don't know I don't know if it's that simple I don't know where the solution and we had a guest tomorrow and then we have monomer Dominique Foxworth chairs as our producer set up did J. just open up your microsecond Kelly were Dominique's working these days do you know him he played in the NFL and he was a defensive back he's really intelligent and that was the working stuff for ESPN and then he writes for the undisputed all right right he has been a gym membership I think is on the bills on the market for a head coach and they wound up with rex Ryan but we were talking to Dominique Foxworth and show one day here I think is before you receive any at a whole proposal about bringing the next head coaches you know you can't they because a guy is a good defense coordinator he's going to be a great head coach same thing on offense grooming head coaches and what it takes to grow my head coach and I think somewhere the answer to the minority issues in there I'd be really eager to hear what Dominique Foxworth says about that yeah I come it's a little bit of cronyism it's probably a little bit like a the owner doesn't have many minority friends but it's more I think this is this is what we do you know we take the hot young coordinator offense or defense to make it right coach without thinking about who's going to be a really good head coach you know right they're fortunate charming German a really good defensive coordinator couple years ago and what it takes to be a good head coach as well but they don't all I I I can't I really look forward to talking to Dominique facts with about the

"steelers" Discussed on Behind the Steel Curtain

"As always Brian. Anthony Davis MR bad bad. Dad's like his alter ego. It really comes out in the after party. So this is your first time ever watching. Live on Youtube or tuning in get ready. It'll be fun. Dave Scofield's all the joining US Davis and having all three of deputy Dave. That's his alter ego for the after party. Deputy Dave I could see him wearing a bunch of khaki being called Deputy Dave anyways. Welcome to the after Party folks and we're going to start this conversation off with Jersey talk and there's a theme here A theme of regret tonight. And I'm GonNA talk about this a couple different avenues. But we're GONNA start off with civil regret. I want you guys to think it will Brian. Especially Gosh Jersey collection is ridiculous. I want you to think this could. We'll start with steeler jerseys but then we'll venture into other jerseys as well so you can go to hockey. Baseball doesn't matter even Basketball Basketball Jerseys What is a Jersey that you purchased not gifted to you you purchase? Maybe you don't have one steelers Jersey there like sh- man I regret. That choice was a bad one of Brian. Gogol start with you. You're the Jersey King. I'm not going to throw in guys that were stars at the time. I'm going to mention guys that I thought we're going to be good and just weren't I'm the Kinda guy that I like to get a Jersey that no one else has I want. I want names Jarvis Jones. I own a Oh boy. L. Bus Depot. Yup I've got a ninety five Jarvis Jones. He had a friend. That's a steeler fan named Jones. And they still. They wouldn't even take it. And did you got any others. Probably I've gotTa Sean Davis but that's my last name. So I got the whole Family Sean Davis Jerseys. And then he then he switched his number of them even worse but I the duck hodges Israel I just bought. I'd like to say about it seven years ago. I didn't know but now I can't even lie about that. I love this one. I bet that owns a gram number. Eleven Jersey. You know what if it was available? I probably would've bought it because well I've Huntley Jersey. I have a Richard Huntley Jersey. Well you have your frame Neil O'Donnell Jersey down this brine do not have a framed Jersey but oh here's a good one. Reginald says he had Ziggy Hood Jersey. Who Ninety six wasn't horrible? He just didn't fit. I never thought he was fit for the sealers. Even what about you Dave? You Ever Regret Jersey that you purchase. Now you're saying that that I just yes if his gift. You can't any about it so like I know that we talked about this a little bit last night and Lance had a couple jerseys. He regretted having were gifted to him. So I'm not going to count this. Okay I've only purchased to jerseys for myself ever K. Of Meaning of steeler jerseys and that would be markey's pouncey and can't hayward so yeah you're right now. I mean I'm not wearing my pal Pouncey Jersey right now because I was kind of a little embarrassed by the profanity laced tirade on instagram. Don't want to explain that to my kids. Are they on Instagram? Did they see the video? So how they now no no. I'm just saying because every time I wear Jersey all right that. Who's this player. Tell me about him? He's a center for the steelers Martinez. No I'm just saying I'm up out of the two jerseys. If you want me to big one I have to pick out trying to come up with something. I can't have any I have. I have a New Jersey but it was a gift so that doesn't count mine isn't even a Football Jersey. Everyone listens to the show knows that I only have purchased Ben Rothlisberger Jerseys for myself seven. Been Gifted me. Thank you Brian. In and gave us for the color rush won the Jersey. That I regret is not wasn't even for me. I did buy it. It was for my wife and it was a hockey Jersey back in no nine. When the tailwinds won their First Cup in the Crosby era she loved Jordan stall and everyone loves Jordan. Staal Jordan Staal was awesome. What was wrong with me that I didn't have the forethought to think they're not gonNA pay three elite centers. They're just can't it's just not feasible in the salary cap era but I got her one of the throwbacks the Winter Classic Jersey today play Word Heinz field against the capital's a joy at almost navy blue and the haven't had striped around. This idea isn't has she Jordan styles. No longer with the team said that's I told her I she she loved. She loved Pascal to play as well. That's really that's a classic Jersey that you could get anywhere anytime. You really didn't go anywhere else. He had to retire retire. Yeah because the blood clots. So That's about Jordan Stall. That was mind that was my regret. Now I did as lances question because land was going on this stupid tirade. Dave got pummeled with tax message today because he was texting us in the group chat with. I guess I mean yeah the podcast fine with that because yeah you're lucky. He was on an anti then tirade today and I asked him off of that group. I said you know. Here's the same thing if you guys could get any current defensive player in. Let's say the someone that you don't have so you're not going to get came hayward again. Dave. That's not named the Watt. Okay so think about it. Who's Your Next Jersey purchased? It's not something that you already have. So you have a Jersey aren't GonNa get it again and it's not. Tj What tj water heels. Easy answer I think I have another easy answer but I'll let you say oh I Kinda WanNa see where your thoughts are about one player but when it's even get there without me saying go ahead Brian? Well this is pretty tough. Because I probably have about eight of eleven of the The defensive jerseys so I would probably say Vince Williams because I pretty much have every state. Don't have ninety eight and as far as the starter go if you if you Count Bud installs a starter. I you count hargrave stole the starter. Because right now they are. I don't have hargrave. I don't have a trail edmonds did you get a mink already. I haven't Minka. Oh man what was sold that off your back at the game we were at I. Yeah I saw actually. I sold Minka to nap three senior so I don't have make. Thanks Dave. I forgot about that. But I don't have Steven Nelson so those actually gotten lucky. I think is going to change his number. I don't know I mean delivers agrees to I. I don't think he's GonNa Change It. After the year he had he should stick with that. Yeah that's the thing if I was if I was hitting that's just me but my answer would either be Minka or to answer the question And the only reason it wouldn't be Minka definitely is because of is going to change the number. That's the only question that I would have if the season started or something going. We didn't change the number. That's what I would definitely pick and if I were that today would be Bush. You said that the guy that I wanted to kind of get to eventually and that was Devin Bush and would he be a player that you see after one year. I'm going to buy the Jersey because let's be honest. Everyone knows that my other Jersey that is not a Ben. Rothlisberger Jersey was one that my parents guide me number ninety seven Mr Kendra Bell Clean Rookie here. Groggier here thinking to myself okay. Devin Bush has one. I'm not I'm not put that curse on him. Don't worry about that. No no no no. Let's assume that you have another one. You forget about your remain. I am not saying all the jerseys have been gifted. I'm just saying that I got a ninety seven Jersey. That didn't pan out. That's all I'm saying. I already acknowledged the fact that you gave me a Mason Rudolph Jersey on air. I gotTa know gotTa say it ladies and Gentlemen off and Rudolf Jersey for Christmas. I'll say it one more time Brian. Anthony Davis got me Mason. Rudolph Jersey for is that good enough. I feel bad for your wife. I really do feel it. Took the trash out today. I don't know if you noticed. But Gosh you that..

"That's right the steelers preview. What we previewing tonight? We're GONNA talk about the rookies. Normally previewing rookies. But that's just the name of the show joining me as always to round out. The triumphant trio is Dave Scofield. Dave how's it going this evening. Hey I'm I'm here. There's still football to be played at some point. I mean arch. Aren't you guys totally amped for this pro bowl on Sunday. Heck Heck Yeah. I know Brian. Anthony Davis is Brian. Welcome to the show pro bowl game face game face got the party already. It's going to be we're going to it's going to be it's like it's one thousand nine hundred nine baby what. What would be the party? Etiquette for pro. Bowl is the same as the Super Bowl. I know you've already getting the article. Queued up every ear for binding. Steel Curtain Dot Com is able to get the same as super bowl ticket. I'm just curious. It's just show up in the history of my life as is a fan. I have never had anybody watch the proble with me but you always watch stallone. I can't say I've watched every year like the Super Label. and Oh Gosh. It's coming though. We're like ten days away from the greatest day of the year for me. I have been gearing up to because I've been watching pass super bowl. steeler super bowls for the site and I'm a At another publishing those articles. Wow It's glorious if if you get a chance to go back and watch old super bowls. It's awesome Lena This past weekend My parents family was in town. Ams Ams of my brother in my sister-in-law my parents were in and we were just sitting. There is nothing on TV ends. I pulled on the TV. I'm GONNA show you all the greatest drive Dr in Pittsburgh steelers history. Just out of curiosity what Dr did I pull up Brian. I'll start with you. See Right the easy easy. Drive that I'm thinking of is from the ten yard line in Super Bowl forty three. That's right. That is correct guy. I can't think of any now. Granted there might be one from the seventies and I'm not fully aware of because I wasn't alive but at the same time that was people. Forget those a holding call in that thing the first lady but also in right before that say shorting in the end zone Chris Key Moya to withhold no. Yeah harding's it was note Jeff. Harding's was gone our way it was just an Hartwig Hartwig. Justin Hartwig radio. That's the name heaven earn awhile. And then surely after the safety was Larry Larry Fitzgerald splitting the defenders in into the end zone. And everyone's thinking holy cow. You know it was tough about that. But because I love Larry Fitzgerald Fan and I get Larry Fitzgerald and I love Kurt in order and I would have been rooting for them. There'd be that'd be one team that I would do. I would root for an any super bowl. That team with those guys on it. Just just not. When they're playing? My guys is a great story but the steelers Dave quick question. I asked my my dad my brother this Ben should have been the MVP DP that game. Yes and the story. Yeah I do I agree yeah I I just don't understand why he didn't get it. I mean that whole San Antonio had incredible drive data drive was remarkable. But Oh my gosh I it was it was tremendous and is that. There's any year that they could have done koby peas. It would have been out. Have you ever done that before. Yeah really actually. They had three one year for the in super bowl thirteen. The Dallas cowboys had Randy White Harvey Martin and there may have been third. I actually think there was a third. Wow but I know I know Randy White Harvey Morton were. Were the two real quick before we get started with our show in the topic of today's shows shield. Ninety one puts five dollars tipped Good long drive tomorrow. I'll save the Stream for that. Have a good show guys shield. Thank you always for your support. I hope you're enjoying this show on Friday as she let let me say. Let me say Real Quick Super Bowl twelve before anybody corrects me. I realized I got it. Wrong Okay Hey. I took a lot lot of grief for Correcting Jeff on the length of the field goal. Let we were both wrong. It was forty one. Oh it was forty you set forty three hundred forty three and I actually went back to check it. It was forty one. My Gosh was only two guys. It was Harvey Martin I and Randy White and Super Bowl twelve but still co.. MVP's all right. Today's episode headline title is the two thousand. Nineteen Pittsburgh steelers rookie review. It's something that we always typically do during the season and even in the off season we start breaking down the steelers roster position by position. So we do we preview things but we kind of dig into one specific topic into today's going to be the two thousand nineteen Pittsburgh steelers rookie class. So we'RE GONNA go round by round round pick by peg in. We're going to talk about. I know a lot of people say will. You can't judge a rookie after one year and I agree one hundred percent and I'm not asking Dave and Brian anyone in the live chat watching on Youtube to say project where they're going to be in three years. I'm saying how did their rookie season go. You want a great it on an eight F scout scale or do you just want to just give some tidbits about Brian. What are you GONNA do? I think we could give tidbits I really don't think we have to give a grade but if you want you because I I know exactly what Brian go to want to do. He's going to give every single one of them what they should get an incomplete. Because it's very difficult on your rookie year. We can't throw that one out. There they are producer Lance Williams just said great in the live right the ad that we're not but we're not allowed to use incomplete kept using complete. Okay what's relievers anyways. Okay for all right the topic. The Pittsburgh steelers moved from twenty up to ten they trade with the Denver Broncos. Get none other than Mr Devon Bush Bush from inside linebacker out of Michigan. Gentlemen Grade IT You can give some tidbits before you're great but if you're looking at Devon Bush's body of work in two thousand nineteen. Brian will start with you. How would you view it? Well if you look at Devin Bush the fact that they traded up for this guy and they also gave away a pick this year. Your Your number three pick when they're getting ready to pick number three. It's not gonNA be there. It's GONNA be the Denver Broncos and you know why because that's part of your Devon Bush trade. We should be happy with that. Because that's everything you wanted. I saw somebody today. Talk in fact I think it was was an email that That I saw thus one of my other counterparts. Dave Scofield got Saying that that Bush's too small and should be moved aligned. Moved a safety and I'm like no this is. This is everything you wanted out of this guy. He goes sideline to sideline he had. He had a touchdown. This year could could have had another one. But as a rookie. He did more in the La- I mean. I don't know of a rookie. That has achieved more on the defensive side of the ball. Better than Devon Bush Junior and. I'm including Troy Paolo. Malo because if you grade if this was is two thousand four after the two thousand three season you're probably given this guy a C. Minus at Best Chore Paulo. Malo and. We're talking about him. I'm in the hall of fame next week. I had a wonderful rookie rookie year. I was actually surprised the all rookie team and I was surprised that that that He didn't have a more consideration for the pro bowl because he's thought of across the League as one of the future stars on defense so I mean I have to give this guy in a minus. Okay Dave thoughts on Devon Bush be plus not bits has decreased. Now honestly I was teetering between a B. Plus or minus. I said I said I basically said I'm GONNA give whichever one Bryant has it only only because I thought he had a fantastic year and try not hear that he said at one point he was an alternate for the pro bowl. Oh if enough people would have bailed out. I thought there was a report out there that but I'm not sure Only only bad thing about the ravens. I'm not making the Super Bowl. Is a lot of guys. Missed out on that. They could've they could've filled in with them but but once again I thought he had a very good year. I should probably bump that up to a minus because the only reason I didn't give him an a was because of what the steelers steelers did to get him because of the trade up and the no pick this year. It doesn't mean he disappointed me. It just meant that. He has much higher expectations that that I'm going to have from almost any other rookie. And he met almost all of them. There's room for improvement but I thought he had a very solid year ear. And I'm really looking forward to see exactly how they're going to utilize them with with the same thing that Brian mentioned where or someone contacted me about saying he. He's too small. We can't stop the run. He should be a strong safety now. That's not what he feels. It moved up ten spots for him to be a safety. They've moved up to the LINEBACKER. And your your linebackers. Packers have different roles. I really like the Combo of him and Vinnie. BVT together seeing what they can do after Bush now has a year under. There's belt I think the sky's the limit for the Combo wasn't a life. Chances That day just looked Bush was named a pro bowl alternate. So you're correct Yes good stuff. A lot of people are Lance Sir Lancelot is in live Chad. He can he's comparing belted Kendra He's comparing Devon Bush to Kendra Bell Number Ninety seven in That was he was the defensive rookie of the year. Kendra bill had a remarkable marketable yet he season and that was incredible. No one no one saw his ankles not holding up the way that they did he was fantastic. And you know that's the guy forgot about. That was two thousand. One I believe an Casey Hampton was the first round of that year so that was a pretty nice draft. Absolutely I. I'M GONNA give Devon Bush a solid all it be I think he has a ton of potential I think the Mike Tomlin limited him a lot this year not so much the in actually he didn't really hide it. Tomlin said this often in his in his press conferences about with these young players with these rookies. You have to kind of sometimes you have to pull them back rain than in a little bit. And you saw more of Devon Bush reacting in the second half of the season I think that his arrows definitely pointing up. I'll give him a B so we're all on her bed same. The same realm in terms of picks. There's one more thing about Bush he didn't have to do as much because of the presence of Mark Barron also whether you like Mark Barron or not and we're going to have a slew of people in the live chat not saying he's garbage cut him but he was there and he had some very productive games and they were they weren't able to they didn't have to force him into into anything. Because you had Baron as well as Bush. Now you're right. Well good one of the things you got to remember about him. I was trying to pull up one last last thing about him. He led the team.

It's not just this weekend but this entire postseason so far. So let's start off with the first Games The first game this weekend. It was the Tennessee. Titans a lot. The people a favourite of a lot of people going through they were actually. I had I had my heart set on the titans. 'cause I really like a really like their style of play against a team in the Kansas City chiefs that they can turn things around in a heartbeat. It doesn't matter how far they're down. What were your thoughts about that? First Game Tony. Well I actually just wrote something about that before. I came on the air. I was rooting for the titans. Like you you know you like the underdog six seed and and and we can relate to that the steelers fans with the five team but as I started watching that game and they fell behind seventeen seven Kansas City showing bad for the chiefs. 'cause it's been fifty years or it had been fifty fifty years since they made it to the Super Bowl. And you know it had to feel like deja Vu all over. Again for them they just lost a heartbreaker last year. So I kind of rooting for the chiefs. I wanted to see them win because I go that long without making it and coming close so many times and you know Patrick Mahomes. He's just I was wrong. I'm just going to say it. I remember over three years ago. I had many arguments on behind the curtain. With people like Igloo. Joe He's he's he's a regular reader and writer and About how that quarterback class class. We don't need a quarterback and Patrick Mahomes. I got a text yesterday. We shouldn't straight after Patrick Mahomes. And he's just phenomenal player so That's my thoughts in that game. An amazing draft class. That was 'cause you had a teams trading for Shawn Watson teams trading for the chiefs he's trading up for Patrick Mahomes even even the forty niners Traded back and really took advantage of the Chicago bears to go one spot to get Mitchell trubisky which A lot of people are like well. They didn't have to do that. The forty niners taking many ways. But you gotta remember somebody else could trading trading. Let's spot right just as easily so I mean they wanted they. That's the guy they wanted. They went in and look for them. but I tell you what Mahomes Mahomes is to me. mahomes is the guy that is going to be the face of the NFL for the next millennium. Yeah okay wait. I can't say millennium. Stop at the next decade. Okay well you never know how good he could be. It might be. He might be the best player for the next years. We don't know yet it's too. It's too early but he's phenomenal. I mean that that touchdown runny head at the end of the first half. That's one of the most amazing plays of the Twentieth Nineteen Twenty twenty season. As far as I'm concerned it was just phenomenal. And of course he's even an even better passer than that so he should special special player. Let's compare him to Tom Brady. When Tom Brady was was going into his first super bowl? Well Tom Brady he was. I think we were all waiting for the other shoe to drop with him. You know he was just a six round pick. Nobody knew at the time that he would turn into goat at quarterback so I think as far as what we thought of. Tom Brady at the time I I. I assume that drew bledsoe would eventually get a starting job back. That's what I that's what I was thinking of Tom Brady but obviously he. He proved me wrong. Whereas Patrick Mahomes is there's no doubt that he's special in a moment when you see Tony when you see Patrick Mahomes? Do you really think that. Let's what this way. Could he win. With what the steelers reporting on the field at wide receiver and tight end this year which I think he could he would would definitely be successful. But I mean people like tyreek Hill and Travis Kelsey. I mean they're special players in their own right so I don't know if he could if he could have taken all the way Eh but he definitely would have given them a really great chance to advance in the playoffs for sure. I think he actually would have went really far where this esteem. Because I think like I said I keep on saying this all along. I think case keenum would've gone far with his team just because of WHO. This team was a US dealers. Have a much better defense than the Kansas City chiefs. It's amazing though how you bring one guy in where the steelers that really helped solidify everything the chiefs kind of did that too and their defense got so much better when they brought in Tehran. Tyron Matthew Matthew. Excuse me when they brought him in. That's that helped mahomes out quite a bit but I think mahomes is that guy that can be can can be the cover boy for the NFL. going forward I love watching this guy in Kansas City is not gonNa let them get away. Oh no no they were saying today day that will probably be the first forty million dollar player and I can certainly see that. I can't see how he wouldn't commend that much money on the open market. Nothing he would get the new markets market. But when when it's time to pay up I can't imagine them not giving him that Kinda money. So how did Kansas City win this game. Tony just they just well first of all they are able to to shutdown Derrick Henry finally and it looked like he was going to be the same story in the first.

"I feel like they think they're worldbeaters now. Now with the fact that it's duck out there not mason in Dhaka's we. We talked about this. He's playing with house money He still needs to win and he knows he needs to win but he he's also playing a little bit with with the mindset that he's got nothing to lose and he's just going to go out and do what he can do and he really believes that he can go ahead and win this game. Tony Beffy Yeah when I have a article or Counterpoint article coming out Probably tomorrow and it's saying Cody's point was and I'll give you a little preview Tony's his point was if the steelers just make the playoffs. That's great. Is that good enough but for me. It's not because none of these guys is the fifty three men on this field that addressing tomorrow and everybody else in the organization. They're not only just trying to make the playoffs. They're trying to do some damage. Allah nineteen eighty eighty nine party. Like it's eighty nine If they make the playoffs but they've got a win. I and that's the thing so my question to everybody out there with all all this crap that's happened with the victim shaming with the fact that Pittsburgh started it and they're kind of there's there's some there's some commentators out there that are actually jumping on the Browns bandwagon loving the bad guy love and the villain in the browser definitely villains in this but are the steelers becoming the villains. Here what's happening so let let me ask you this or this. Is this going to be a business as usual game for the steelers or or the browns in their heads because as good as the steelers defense has been it was not sterling silver in the the first half of that game so please let me know and remember we have the live chat here and I will go ahead and take your questions at the end of the show but feel free to let me know if you you do agree or disagree with those questions Steve O'Neill asked to browns fans show up at Heinz field. Yeah I'm sure they do. But if you're trying to get rid of those tickets as a steeler fan before that game after November fourteenth. You weren't because that became a very very very hot ticket so I mean I wish I had opportunity. You GotTa take into that game. I'm glad I didn't buy a ticket because I do feel absolutely horrible right now but I will be watching it. I'll be watching it from a whistle whistle and I cannot wait I M. That's the one thing that's getting me through this little bug the fact that tomorrow at one. PM I canceled my friends. Coming over always have steeler central in my house but I cannot wait for this game tomorrow so I'm hoping that the steelers are go more fired up with this with this game coming up but I hope that it's not their heads that.

"After tomorrow's ars press conference so sh- swifty pool once again is happy happy to watch sixty minutes steelers football but until we won once again zero injuries gotcha. They're talking about wanting to get some other returners like <hes> mike <hes> deontay spencer. He's not there less. Penalties on special teams would be great. That's from that's mike. I'm i'm not even going to try to butcher your last name. I'm sorry that i it starts in the preseason. That would be fantastic to nazi the penalties on special teams. Sometimes i wonder i don't know i don't get in trouble for saying this. Sometimes i wonder if the n._f._l. Almost has an agenda that they don't like to kick off because it seems like anytime half the time when teams decide to bring the ball out. There's going to be a flag for something on the receiving team that it's almost not worth trying to get a kick return because of but cut because of you're just going to be given a penalty and then push push back. It's almost like they. They go out of their way to call this penalty sometimes not just on the steelers on everybody so no that's a play they've been trying to get out of out of the game for awhile and they haven't been able to figure out how to do it and still allow onside kick. <hes> i know the tinkered with some stuff before they went under but i don't know if that anything serious that the that the steelers could could consider so says just the specialties penalties. I think you know who gets his guilty of penalties. A good bit on special teams especially on the teen is their long snapper <hes> yes because he's a little bit under size. He has a real bad tendency to hold and he gets called for it probably only a quarter quarter or less the time that he actually does it and he was flagged for at least two if not three times last year but between that and and the holdings and the block in the back it would be really nice to see some some penalty free special teams. I'm hoping that this game is is fairly penalty free in the first place but it it's one of the preseason with guys fighting for roster spots. I think that's an awful lot of wishful thinking on my part to think there's not going to be many penalties because we we saw what happened with the steelers last season they had tons of penalties the first year weeks and season and it just kinda the got better from there but that that's just i just. I don't know if it's the way the officials are teams are just aren't quite ready for for doing the things that they're doing but there's an awful lot of penalties early. I i did not look the penalty stats for the preseason because it's the preseason that's pretty much why but that that'd be nice to see hey. I'm your appetite editor. "He says a two dollars and a tip jar. Are we appreciate that happy. Birthday says to the steelers in blackjack number fifty eight absolutely he had one of the greatest lines ever when he was a being accepted into canton enshrined in the pro football hall of fame where everyone knows the line if here steeler fan that said you know if I could do all over again I would be a professional football player and you better damn. Well believe I'd be a Pittsburgh steeler. That's such a cool line. It kind of encapsulates all the Jack River was for the Pittsburgh steelers in for the game of football. <hes> <hes> Captain Underpants says Dear Extent Hayden or Hilton or need or both if I wanted to pick one. I'M GONNA pick Joe Haden <hes> I think the Joe Hayden is proven. He still complete high level. It's not that Mike Hilton canned. It's that I feel like slot. quarterbacks are easier to replace than outside cornerbacks so if I'm the steelers I'm looking to give Joe Haden. Maybe a a two year extension keeping him with the team for another three years concluding this upcoming two thousand nineteen season but I'm also going to throw some money at <hes> Mike Hilton and see if he'll sign it and if they can keep him on the cheap. I don't know if he'll do it but at the same time I'm not gonNA break. The bank designed my kill not when you have guys like Cameron sudden there. He seems a he's more than capable. So if given the opportunity okay <hes> captain underpants puts two bucks in the tip Jerry says can we make it to the bowl. I I really do think that the steelers can make a run this year but it's like I told Dave Scofield do fuel this was not on a podcast was actually in person I said man every time I get a really positive. I've about this team. There's this other side of me. We'll call it. The Lance Williams side of me. That is very doom and gloom about this team not that I think they're going to be awful awful but that there's just so many question marks yet we can sit here. We can talk about how the offense is going to look like this and the offense couldn't do that and the defense is going to do this. They're going to do that and Devin Bush is going to be this and in Mark Barron and all these guys guys are GonNa be this do that. We just don't know we just don't know for the first time in a long time. We just don't know about this Pittsburgh steelers team in the past. You always knew he had bail. You had brown you had been they're going to be able to score points. This can defense. Keep them off the off the board in this year it's I. I'm not sure what the offense goes. Yeah we can all sit here and say that on paper. It's GonNa be great but at the same time we know what that's like. You have to go out and see it in person so we'll see what happens <hes>. I do think this team can get said absolutely I think they can get hey. I'm Spencer Hall. I'm Holly Anderson. I'm Ryan Nanny. "But it's they they they definitely look sharp. Every time somebody changes jerseys. I get I get pretty excited. I guess except for when the Pittsburgh Steelers did it and went to the went to the oval numbers or the rounded numbers. I still hate that this day, and I want them to go back fulltime to those nineteen seventies block. But that's just me. Yeah. I I wish they would it. I don't see. I don't see the big deal. But who knows why they do those kind of things. You know, why they changed it? Right. Do you know the them seizing? So Dan Rooney. Looked at they change in nineteen ninety seven's cornell's first year as a starting quarterback. And the reason they changed is he one of the numbers on the jersey to match the numbers that were on the helmets. I never knew that. Wow. I feel that that I. Found out recently that I read it online recently. I mean, somebody told me about it. And then I read it. Couple of months apart thought that was really interesting. I I would love them to go back to those those blocks though. I don't think. I don't really think that mismatched, but they wanna go get stands, which is either. But with that being said, let's wrap this threat in filial Brown thing, a big bow. Is it going to get worse? Or is it just fade away? I think I think for the Steelers it's it's it's already fading away for him. And for the raiders it's going to get worse. I I'm almost certain of that as I am of me sitting here in this room right now, it's gonna get worse 'cause he is out of control, and he can't be stopped unless somebody stops him. And who that's going to be right now. I'm for who it's going to be either. But it was great to when Vince Williams stepped up and basically each weeded out that if if I know you're if I know your number call you if I know you're Addy how swing by or something like that. And then Jim Hayward respondent eight, you know, my address going by. I mean, they're noticing too. And you can tell that they are completely done with this guy and glad to see him on the left coast and. This makes ju ju and this was something I was trying to go back and talk about when we were talking about gun James Connor thing..

"And he didn't see why can't we correct that? That's the problem. Just to be a problem. And we saw with the Steelers this year if the Steelers could. If the Steelers could challenge penalties. Maybe Mike Tomlin's goose egg on that would finally turn around and actually get a reversal. You know, I just. I just don't understand it. A why we see a wrong, and we can team to let it happen you, and I are a fan of old school professional wrestling. I'm a big fan of professional wrestling. And it's always the thing. You know, like the official term is back. He didn't see it. And then we have a new champion, but that's a scrapped in that's entertainment. This is more than that. We need to we need to fix it. I mean, you can't write the wrong next week by giving a rematch like you can't professional wrestling. It's not just doesn't happen that way. They always end up righting that wrong because always ends up to be a rematch. And there's some kind of redemption can't get that redemption here. So always eventually win in wrestling. Not in the NFL. So I mean, what then there's some people that are saying that maybe it is scripted because it kind of feel like. I guess we gotta make. Tom Brady an all time God. And it just seems that way I'm not the kind of guy, but makes me wonder sometimes to just want the patriots to continue to win. I. Our grapes. And and the the phrase that they use all the time that drives me crazy. But it's true. You hate us. 'cause you hang us. But you know it. It's just drives me nuts. If the Steelers were in that position if feels AFC championship game, I'm not even gonna factor fiction this when they would have not gotten the calls, and and it would be even worse day today. I absolute tell you that something's gotta be done. We have a possible solution, but apparently opening Pandora's box, and you can't do that. But it's gotta be as obvious as the birthmark on. Drew Brees is faith that something's gotta be done. And that was in poor taste, I apologize. But I I had to get some humor out of this whole situation. But I thought Kansas City got ripped off. I think the fans got ripped off. I think the fans would have loved to have seen Pat Mahomes young buck against old cow. Boy, drew Brees. I think I think that would have been just absolutely amazing um. I guess you're getting that in often Brady. But I I think everybody wanted when it. Chiefs say it's a I really thought they did. But you know, I guess enough sour grapes there. But the big question is, and we always take the show, and we pertain to what's going on with the Pittsburgh Steelers. So what is the biggest problem that everybody has identified as the biggest problem with the Steelers, Tony and that is the defense, but after seeing yesterday's games and watching? Teams lose leads and have a lead with thirty five seconds left. And it still gets tied. You know, you the patriots took thirty five seconds left. I mean, no lead was safe with. I mean, if you would have had a chance to get the ball with ten seconds left. It might have been safe yesterday. He was just letting sane. Yeah. And in in the scorer gang fourteen seven the fourth quarter, and then found scores thirty seven thirty one. It's almost like they just wait you offense to for either team. This flip the switch, and it's like all right win score anytime and went now. So it's just it's just kinda league. Now. So my factor. Fixing for you. Tony is the Steelers defense is not that bad defense is dead in the NFL. Is that fact or is that fiction? I'm gonna say, it's it's fact, I mean, they're the defense isn't isn't horrible. It's just it's just it's just impossible to the whole offensives down in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, the students were able to the feelers offense wasn't able to come back in the fourth quarter enough time this year, you know, while defense was giving leads in fourth quarter..

"Or if this is something where the Steelers say look we've had enough. And if this continues to happen, you're going to be gone. I'm not sure how it plays out obviously on Wednesday might thomma will hold his weekly press conference in you can imagine the barrage of questions he's gonna have regarding in Tony Brown situation. Everything from the questionable knee injury. Which some are saying was fake to hide the situation that the story to what are they going to do with Brown? Now does he really want to be traded? Are they going to consider trading him? Are they keeping their options open? I would say that Wednesday's press conference is gonna be must must see television for the Steeler fan base all around the world. But what should the Steelers do in my opinion the Steelers should take into a new Brown, and they should tell them. Look, you're not going anywhere. We're not trading you. We're not. We're not cutting. You we need you on this team. The problem is that we need you one hundred percent and were dedicated to you in finding you some help, and we wanna get I think the Steelers need to kinda sit down with him and figure out. What is it that you want is it a Super Bowl win? Okay. You have great opportunity with the Pittsburgh Steelers to do that. Do you just want nothing, but this accolades 'cause if that's the case will under Randy feeder her that might not be a viable option Randy feeders offense with Ben Rothlisberger. At the helm has shown that they spread the ball out more. Antonio Brown's targets have gone down. Evidently since feet and became the offense coordinator, maybe they need to figure out what Brown is so frustrated with is it the lack of touchdowns can't be. He said a season high for himself and for the Steelers franchise add the position is it that his receptions of gone down. Yes. But he was still over one hundred receptions for the season. What about yardage he and juju Smith Schuster both head over twelve hundred dollars receiving and they were one of only a few teams ever do that in the modern era in the National Football League. So as the Steelers organization, I would say in Tonja, what is it that you want? It was at the team end EP where you upset because you've won four of those already is it is it the juju species for one the team MVP because if so why is that so important is it a frustration about the team in that you lost in New Orleans despite your huge day, or is it that you just don't wanna be here anymore. This is the the discussions they have to have with Brown. But in my opinion, in this is just my opinion. Trading is not an option releasing giving a straight out release is not an option Antonio Brown needs to be a part of this team. But he needs to be a part of the team in the right way. He needs to be a good teammate. He needs to take other players under his wing like others him like Hines ward. Even Mike Wallace early in his career. He needs to be the example if the Steelers want to win a Super Bowl their best chances to do. So we'll be with Antonio Brown. Not without if the Steelers can go into the offseason knowing the Brown is on the team. He's in the right? His he is in there his right mental state and that he is one hundred percent bought into this team to this organization. I think they have very good chance of adding the pieces necessary around him offense and defense of -ly to be legit. Chitimia contenders. In the National Football League. If Brown pallets his way out of town. It's going to be a huge backwards in the waning years of Ben Rothlisberger career. So regardless of which side of the fence, you stand out they keep him. They trade him or release him under. I think everyone could understand the Steelers are way better with him then without him. So at this point, thank you for listening to the debut of the Steelers burning question now is when I say if you're watching live on YouTube good of the comments action, and let us know what you would do with Antonio Brown. "Okay. So you're here the phone relegate. But for the Pittsburgh Steelers right now after at sixteen thirteen win toppled with a Cleveland Browns loss to the Baltimore Ravens who won the AFC north the song should pretty much be the eagles desperado. 'cause that's where the Berg Steelers are right now. But luckily. Jim Carey would say in a number of the nineteen ninety four heads. So you're still saying we've got a chance it's fourteen seven right now in Tennessee. No one knows if that's gonna hold up to be a tie. I pretty much doubt it, but you have got a big Steelers right now or in death for move. Hello once again, my friends and welcome to the Steelers hangover, I think all of us have that the banging and clanging or melons after after the win it still feels like a loss because of the way the season has come down. Especially what happened the hope that was happening in charm city in Baltimore, but turned out to be just a marauders as the Cleveland Browns and bigger Mayfield could not finish up the miracle to give us help. I'm Ryan Davis with me as always is by good friend. Anthony duffy. Oh. And we're here to talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers fortunes of the team, and basically sit here and just hoping that they could somehow make the playoffs but pretty much by the end of the show, we're probably going to have to face reality. What do you think Tony feel? Yeah. It's just I can't believe how the last six weeks ended. But. Oh, well, what are you going to they made your bed? No. That's why Brian. You've you've got Mike Tomlin said that last week. Yeah. They're definitely lying in it. We could point to so many things from this season. We wanna finger point and a lot of things there's a lot of blame to go around. You know that blame has gone around in two cities so far today and Tampa Bay and the New York Jets have both buyer coaches, so Todd Bowles and their cutter or or looking for jobs right now. But I pretty much don't think that's going to happen Pittsburgh. But I know a lot of you on the message boards and a lot of Yuki board warriors hiding behind your keyboards or calling for it. "Yeah. That's back. True false that we had for Wednesday. And that if the Steelers beat the patriots gave that to you. Guys, did it on the Thursday show. The Steelers beat the patriots will they win out true or false. I said I said true because I've always thought that the Steelers were teen. It seems like they're built to go down to New Orleans and give them a really good game. And I've always felt I felt this last. But let's be honest, man. The Steelers should have beaten the patriots twice in a row. Yes. It is. It's the honest truth. That's not crying over spilt milk guessing James pay could have should have been a touchdown. They would've won the game. And they should they should be talking about. How Ben Rothlisberger beaten Tom Brady two times in a row? But obviously that didn't have it. So I felt very good going into this game even after three straight losses. And I think that now you look at the saints game coming up. It's not a gimme no way. I mean, the saints are good that the saints have not been as good as they were around the mid point of the season. PD teams are starting to figure out how to play them. So you mentioned a little bit earlier some of the strategy that Stu. Might deploy. We'll talk about that on Wednesday, obviously. But also and then the Bengals of the Bengals in the last week of the season, which is not going to be an easy game. But it will be at home at Heinz field. And who knows what'll be up for grabs at that point. So I do know that I'm pretty sure the magic number is two for the Pittsburgh Steelers navy. So the chargers win in the chargers. Win yet to beat the ravens in the Steelers win. It might lock up the north off to double check on that audio get our buddy Dave Scofield on that. But you do agree with that? Because you didn't answer that we did that on the preview show. What is your true or false to that? Do you think they run the table since day one think false? Of course. They're gonna wanna they're gonna wanna wanna finish they will wrap up. But I think the ravens will lose to chargers out west. Well, let's let's not forget that the ratings finished with the Browns and the Brandon joke anymore. Yes. So quarterback at a teams as well. Absolutely. Absolutely. There's a there's a lot left to to decipher with this AFC north division in AFC a quick couple of notes. Watts on the top of my head the dolphins losing today. Almost knocks out the Broncos are out. Now. The titans are still alive. The colts are still alive because the Cowboys both teams won today. How about that gobbles? Boy, Steeler wing. Cowboys lose cab is. That's great. Yeah. Waft? Tell you what. All right. Let's get some questions. We have some that have been rolling in here. Some people are saying about the running game how it's kinda disappeared unit disappeared. Now it came back with a vengeance. Here. Jalen daniels. I'm gonna say the for me, the goal should always be balanced. The other robbers burger through the vault thirty four times, it was balanced there for the most part. Now, if you watched the I want to go back and look at dry by Dr. And I said this you Lancy attacks during the game. It almost seemed like in Roth a spur kind of gave this validity in his game that they were almost attacking the patriots. They different philosophy. Every single drives that they could never get comfortable. They would go empty four or five wides in the next drive. You come out with a little bit heavier package, and because they they never wanted to patriots to get into a rhythm and be able to pin their ears back and was a successful. I don't know. It's tough to say it wasn't wasn't because they didn't. I mean, they ran the ball. Well, but they never really stuck with a run because they were changing up so much. What are your thoughts on that run balance run bass fallant run pass balance? Listers..

"Nixon a row in D, Tony and this is got to bode well with six games left in the season. Getting by Jacksonville team that own you last year when two games even though you scored forty two points against that defense last year. It didn't matter that is a stifling defense and Jeff Hartmann, and I were how many station about two weeks ago. He Jeff likes to text me at random and just ask me a question. And this question was besides the AFC. Moore was the Pittsburgh. Steelers biggest rival, and I thought about it. And the only only name I could come up with the Jacksonville Jaguars. And that's exactly who he was thinking as well. I would think their biggest rival right now just record wise since their inception. They were division mates one time in the AFC central. But there's definitely hatred and I've been into that stadium where they dislike us a whole lot more than we dislike them. But I think with all the trash talking everything that was going on yesterday. I feel like they would fit very well in the AFC north right now and next to the Bengals and the ravens and for the most part, I guess the Cleveland Browns. There would you agree that they are a top notch rival for the Steelers. Oh, yeah. They've been they've been a handful Pittsburgh since nineteen ninety five. I mean the very first game they played against them Jacksonville. They beat the Steelers your they went to the Super Bowl. So yeah, they've been they've been a handful and they were there rival in the latter part of the late nineties in the AFC central division. So yeah, they've been you know, obviously, we know what they've done recently. And and they clearly have a little brothers syndrome though, because you have to do it every year. I mean, they beat up on Steelers twice last year. And they beat him up. Pretty good yesterday to good teams come to play every year. The patriots Steelers those kind of teams come to play every year in Jaguars need to realize that of course, they probably need to realize in maintaining quarterback too. But we need to realize they have to bring it every year. We can't just be up and down. So yeah, they are. They're biggest rivals. And I think yesterday may have taught him a lesson for the future. Then you know, what that is? They played their eight game yesterday that Jacksonville team put everything they have on the field. But here's a big question. And a lot of people have been saying this, and this is the theme of the hangover tonight. It's simply this to Jackson give Jacksonville giveaway the game or the Steelers take that game away in the fourth quarter. I the cop cop out, but I think it was a little bit of both. I think feelers took the game because they found a way to make the the in in the fourth quarter on offense, especially you know, what is too great. That catches fans McDonald, obviously with what AB did in in Bennett the end. But you know, you got to trust your quarterback there in the fourth quarter. If you actually draft him third overall five years ago in fifth season, and you just don't trust them. You know, you're relying on your running game too. Out to clock. And I get that. Because you have such a great defense. But it was clear, you know, way through the the fourth quarter Steelers had found their rhythm offense and Jackson needed to mount at least one or two sustain sustained drives. But that game away, and they just did not trust Blake Bortles. So I think it was a little bit of both. If I may if I may be wishy washy on that one. Yeah. Yours truly Browning right there. If I'm if I can loose it you and say, you're wishy washy Charlie Brown, not everybody's going to understand that reference. But hey, it's thanksgiving week..

"Casual Friday, Phil. Okay. Okay. We're probably not that good both. That's what I say right now in also that Mike Tomlin said last night. Put up the fifty two Ron Rivera quote this bleep happy. So we start knowing that the fifty to the Steelers put on the Panthers in the notice they gave the rest of the AFC. That's where we're going to start. How teams rounded into form a team that could score have on a team that could play defense the way they do after the Zorro start. They add to the season Tim Keller show around the horn to you. What message the Steelers said last night? Why don't think I've ever started a message with? I'm probably not that good. Although I probably did pick Carolina to win this show. But let me say this. Here's here's what impressed me last night. Even when they're scoring in the fifties. It was the Steelers defense because that's been a question Mark for some time. And starting with the Vince Williams interception, obviously. But moving on from that five sacks of Cam Newton. And then the big one he only ran the ball twice. They did not let him get out of the pocket. They did not let him make plays the way he has been with everyone else this year. I think the St.. Defense even this night rose almost to the level of the Steeler offense. That means they are to have the coverage of conviction to say the defense is better than offense that scored well, not fifty two because there was a pick six, but fifty two points the team put up Sarah Spain, you have that courage. Tim Keller Shas, I don't I think it's still more about the offense wasn't present. For me. What's interesting about this game? Is that so often we make decisions about teams early in the season because of all the lady and bell drama because the rest of the drama surrounding this team and their slow start. We kind of weren't sure what we have with them a game. Like, this might be what's necessary to shake a little sense into all of us in realize what kind of team we have we're gonna find out how good they are though because they still have to face the Jack the Jacksonville Jags not a great team. But one they always struggle with the saints the Bengals the chargers and the pats. So we might be saying right now this team is unbeatable. And then when they all those teams down the stretch, we might be saying they're not that with Kevin blog. It's don't use syncing. You saw something from Pittsburgh last night that you haven't seen. From them all season. In what you saw was a cohesive unit. I mean, we're talking about praising the offense. We're talking about praising defense, you could even phrase special teams, if you want to and I what Mike Tomlin has done with this team the way that they started off this season is really remarkable. Right. I mean, they start out the year with a tie against the Browns. They could have beaten the chiefs. And now they've reeled off five straight in very impressive fashion. This is a top ten defense a top-five offense. And they've got their best weapon. Still sitting out. Oh, you're talking about Levy on bell address him in a second. Because there's another update lady on bell. But I Bill Plachy on the fifty two forbids Berg. Yeah. You know, they seem so fractured for much of the season NAS only they focused. I thought the key thing to me was when Eric Reed had that flagrant hit the entire Steeler team was on him. Then I mean, the whole diversity of of the attack seventy from players scored touchdowns. One short of NFL record Abend was it was only pressured three times on twenty dropback. Really covered for him. They played like a team. And this is what they can be in Bagri with Sarah tough schedule. But they you said they play like a team which is interesting to me because maybe too much was made of it after week one or week two. They had the tie and they had a loss early on. But then they were going through the on bell, the offense ally was sniping..

"He caught eighty five passes. He was targeted one hundred six times. That means the Steelers were intending to give him the football four hundred and twenty seven times. And he ended up getting it four hundred and six times he was a second leading receiver on a Pittsburgh Steelers. What is love EON bell saying I deserve my money, and I don't deserve to be treated like just a running back. I pass catch out of the backfield. I'm a primary target for us the injustice the doing the running backs eight fair. Y'all give us the ball all day every day, you run us into the ground. And then you throw us out like yesterday's trash the second birth certificate touches thirty. So I'm not going for that. I spoke to Levy on bell months ago. I would know this. He specifically said it ain't just about me, Steven A. It's about all running backs. That's what he said. And he meant it and he's not playing and it's not just about dollars. It's about principle with him. I understand. And I agree with him. Especially when I watch Adrian Peterson perform and he's thirty five years. Oh, why are we writing off at age thirty like they do not play this because there are running back. It. Ain't right. I got it. The problem is. Levian bell has mishandled this entire situation. I am a person that was totally against those offensive lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ramon forced to and others. I thought they flat out, but trade him. I'm not saying because of how they feel I'm saying because of their willingness to express what they expressed publicly. I thought that was a travesty and that they should be ashamed of themselves to doing what they did. Without question. And I stand by that. And it's important that everybody understands that. Here's the flipside. That didn't excuse levian bell. For sending Instagram photos or footage is or whatever it was a him jet skiing and south beach while Steelers struggling. At he was happy about it. That didn't excuse Levy on bell for sending out cryptic tweets periodically remind everybody that he was still around. He was still available knowing good and Dan. Well. That was going to rub some of his teammates to wrong way who warrant the ones the providence of his money. And I must say this loud and clear. When my Tomlin of all people says in an interview, we want volunteer's, not hostages. It doesn't get more indicting than that. And the is a possibility is great as levian bell is and as much as we imagine that he will get his money because his talent warrants getting his money. We must concede. That it is entirely possible, and it is entirely plausible..

"Steelers clearly were better than the teams that were playing but they were playing down to the level of the opponent and having a eat their way out of out of wins each and every sunday and mike tom was asked about looking forward to the pats game is clearly it's what we're seeing oh hate that you know say that it's the truth but they were looking forward to that pats game which happened week fifteen or or weak fourteen of bnfl season and an an and it didn't cost him because they won up into that point minute lost the jaguars and they won eight in a row until they lost that new england patriots game but clearly is team with obsessed with the newman patriots especially after losing to them in in the regular season they look past jacksonville because our aim you look at a team that is led by blake bortles that yes played good defense he has his run the ball well but can play quarters really beat you the answer is when blake portals doesn't make mistakes guess blake bortles can't be too at exactly what happened by the way they're probably applies to every single nfl quarterback out there young real funny we put them in files elite borderline elite average you know boss whatever it might be i mean every one of these quarterbacks in the nfl if they protect the football than they've got these and weaponry around that in pretty good coaching i mean they're in the nfl razor argued i'm here to pick them up the scrap all the country nick falls the perfect example at villanova he's wanted many could just make a mistake they want now now time that was asked about this post game about taking it it's it's a real interesting conversation around this team because we always say you know your team takes on the dna of the head coach sometimes as good sometimes that bad that's bad in in the in the steelers realm right now i i think it's lands toward the negative but we can get back to this year's tomlin specifically on whether or not they were robbed not ready to face the jax this team wacked us good in october mary you kidney we realizes in football team they played better than we did today poca much better air by the way.
