It doesn't say anything in the sentencing phase, hear anything about any kind of mental health care. That stood out to me. I think that would be me with foremost. We lack at this because it's kind of silly. However, this guy's mental right or at least we need to figure that out yet. You know, three months in a 30 months in prison. Hey, may come out worse than he went

Don't AT Me: Twitch Has A Stalker Problem
"Thursday September ninth twitch dreamer be X. Bullet posted a tweet longer where she details her experiences with the person she alleges is zero harasser and Stalker. She calls him by name Mattie Rocket Online? He goes by specialty Poof from now on I'm going to be referring to him as suspecting according to the twit longer the problem started when be ex-bull filed a police report against spectacle alleging that he was using quote his or to lure kids into a discord server where he was being sexually inappropriate with them, sharing pornographic websites and images and possibly grooming them for exploitation and quote. Now, the that be X. bullet is referring to is inception east sports which suspect he. Founded and the report she filed to her local police department which was made public last week details alleged history of sexual misconduct, which she claims involved miners. Many of the allegations stem from the inception east sports partner discord server, which at one had over thirty, five hundred members and allegedly had multiple instances of racist and homophobic conversations and whole reason that be ex bullet not respecting is that at one point she was signed to inception east sports as it just chatting streamer it's a twenty four page report documenting in detail with screen shots, videos, and private conversations. A litany of allegations against spectator from his time running three different East sports organizations most recently with inception. To Be X. bullet spectrum somehow found out about the report that she filed and according to her. This is when the harassment began and he's been coming at me everything he has with doc seen harassment bought. Threats Tell you know telling me has my address and like. Saying things like see you soon or can't wait to come visit you kind of stuff from allegedly dachshund her repeatedly to allegedly giving her name and address to people that she describes as dark web criminals threatening to show to where she was on a recent trip and even allegedly having a naked photo of her daughter on his computer. It got to the point where be ex bullet decided to stop streaming on twitch out of fear for her and her daughter safety she. Ran In here and she had underwear on but she bolted in here and I like a lunge data and grabbed her and wrangled her out, and then I ended the stream and as I was doing that I noticed that somebody who was associated with him had clipped the incident and I deleted it right away and I deleted the five and then the next day he sent me a message saying that he had naked pictures of my three year old child saved. And he was using it to blackmail me or to threaten me or to say that he was going to try to get me banned from twitch according to her SPEC D at one point was banned from discord in connection to allegations similar to what she filed in her report. But allegedly, he uses multiple different accounts to remain on discord. She says that even some of his admins have quote emailed discord support trying to get his ulta counts band with no luck and quote now, ex bullet says that she spoke to multiple different lawyers and that due to differing state laws if she wanted to do something legally she. Have to take him to federal court, which would be extraordinarily expensive. She also says that she's reached out to her local authorities, multiple different times but that they haven't been very helpful now, I also reached out to Spec for comment and to get his perspective on the situation, and here's what he had to say it's three years ago and then no excuse for anything but I don't even remember what I did three weeks ago. So my language and talking to people are not asking every single person what their ages on discord and I don't think people do that normally and I watched I watched other youtube channels like. like mcnasty or forty and people like that, and they're talking to people. Like Like. The same way and no one has problem with it a debt why but no one raised awareness back then saying, hey, this a real big problem shouldn't be talking to the minors like this and I know it's not the right thing to do but like. Being Gaming and It's really really a toxic environment and some games, and this is what he had to say when it came to the allegations of targeted harassment towards be X. Bullet Online. So I had the address, they took it and they did. I mean they they found everything. More they found more about her than than I. Even have I, knew I knew what they were I didn't know how or they were going to act on it. I know I didn't know hey. If I give this person, this information that they're going to go really really hard on or are they just going to go look at it and be like whatever. Now, what we talked about here is only a fraction of what's alleged in be X. bullets poor, and while this might be the latest instance of stocking and online harassment in the world of twitch. Unfortunately, it's far from the only one a few months ago. Sweden. Anita who say popular twitch streamer with Threat Syndrome, went public with her own experiences dealing with targeted harassment at a sta the been stalking me quite a few months actually they've been coming to my house they've been sleeping and pretty much my backyard watching the house. The other day. Shop capers had to intervene and kind of holding back while knee chased after. According to Anita this person slept in her backyard multiple times peek through her mail slot. While she was home physically assaulted her and violated the restraining order. She filed against him multiple times. It apparently got so bad that Anita said she feared for her life. This person would bang on her door for hours at a time would constantly send her death threats. He threatened to kill me and the police response has been incredibly underwhelming after he assaulted me, I had a witness I love evidence and the police did nothing she goes on. To say that when the police eventually went to talk to this person about the alleged assault, he was on his way to see her and he allegedly had a knife on him after months of Anita pushing for something to happen. She says that recently the police press charges and this guy was given a suspended sentence of two months in prison and basically a suspended sentences where you're found guilty of whatever you've been charged with by you probably won't be spending any time in prison
Bahrain follows UAE to normalise ties with Israel
"Friday president trump announced that Bahrain would recognize Israel and the two nations would normalize relations. This comes just weeks after a similar move from the United, Arab Emirates what to make of it. All I'm joined again by Zanny Minton beddoes and we slaughter and Ian Bremmer in put this in context for us what does this mean? Why did it happen? What does it mean? Well two big things that people need to come to terms with the first. Is that Israel Palestine is considered close to the most important conflict in the region. It is for the Palestinians when you talk to the Maradas with the Saudis, the Bahrainis, the Kuwaitis you'll talk to you about their concerns about Iran they'll talk to you about diversification away from fossil fuels and the difficulties that they'll talk to you about domestic radicalism, all of these sorts of things. And so as a consequence, you no longer have a veto on if you don't get peace with Israel Palestine, you can't move on geopolitics. The second point is the united. States had long attempted to be seen as some kind of honest broker between Israel and Palestine when we're anything but Israel's our best ally in the region, the Palestinians particularly agree with we have problems with and so you know it's interesting trump's first trip as president outside the United States was to Saudi Arabia and then to Israel and those are the two places where he has the best personal relations and that's where they really drove. So yeah, you had the effort to. Talk about peace with Israel and Palestine where the Palestinians weren't even engage a big conference in. Bahrain. Now, you've got big announcements in relation. I think especially from you and I talking to jared through this that was kind of the game all along I I'm not in any way surprised by this. And we. A friend of mine WHO's from the Middle East very knowledgeable about the says what's really going on here this is this is the post American Middle East that is countries like. Israel UA Bahrain Saudi Arabia saying we're GONNA make our own alliances to defend ourselves against the the real threat that we feel as he was saying, which is Iran and we know the Americans aren't going going to help us. So we need we need to band together. Is that part of the dynamic. Afraid, I think that is right that again Obama wanted out of the Middle East. If you if you think about the direct line from his refusal to engage in Syria. And that's actually an area where he his policies and trump's have been closer than than other areas. But I also think you have to think about this in the context of us. Domestic Politics Donald Trump. Has Two modes he can be the fearmongering president or he can be the dealmaking president who delivers and if we're thinking about October surprises up for this election, what he would dearly love is to actually have a treaty or agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia, which really would redraw the map of the Middle East and the conventional wisdom is the Saudis aren't ready but obviously, the UAE in Bahrain are stalking horses and and Bahrain would not have been able to do this without Saudi approval. So it's probably a low chance, but there is a real chance at least of a framework agreement in which Saudi Arabian Israel would would normalize relations in return for something more something bigger on the Palestinian sought.
How to break up well
"In your own life have you ever had a good break up I just remember feeling. So angry I broke up with my boyfriend over skype when I was eighteen in a lecture uni. And then I broke into his house it was a pretty bad way to do it but. I have very fight for what you love mentality by the end. All I could think of was I need to get out of this narcan white food do not be around me any war. I. Would constantly tech when drunk, which is now in hindsight Divorce and breaking up can feel like the bloodiest dirtiest combat you'll ever thought experience in your whole life. and. Almost everyone on the planet has been through one in. Australia in twenty eighteen alone nearly fifty thousand dollars got divorced to put that into context in that same year about one hundred and twenty thousand people got married. I WanNa make something clear before we get going this. Is Not focused on domestic violence or abusive relationships. Where talking about run of the mill breakup which astill devastating? People lose homes amass great be debt for into addiction used their kids as collateral get depressed all bottle up all their feelings and totally not cope. and. Some of that has to do with the fact that popular narratives tell us that that's the way love goes when it ends its war or didn't count. Rarely away modeled the best. Case. Scenario divorce. So, what if they was a guide? What if you could break up better or dare I say it divorce? Well, what if the process didn't have to leave both parties wounded devastated and financially? I'm Jimmy Stein's. Ladies. We need to talk about how we can break up bit up. In two thousand eight, I split up with my partner. We had kids and a house together and there was mediation lawyers, child custody arrangements and it sucked. There's a bunch of stuff I wish I needed that I know now. So let's share it a practical guide to breaking up well. In this episode, we're going to talk to a US a psychologist and a lawyer who all have skin in the game when it comes to breakups and divorce. I think for a long time we just assumed that breakups were allowed to tardily rain of your eating habits, your drinking habits, sleeping habits, how you conducted yourself in terms of going completely. Lupi and and just feeling like a bracket with completely appropriate answer to that. This is Zoe foster blake she's an Australian author and entrepreneur. We're speaking to her because she's written a book called break-up boss. Though, he's married with a couple of kids. Settled and happy. But during her early twenties, she reckons she was the authority on bad breakup and in this ladies, we need to talk guide to better breakups. Zoe is going to start with a bit of what not to do. So I would go to his house in the middle of the night. Drink dial constantly I would stalk can be aggressive towards these new partner I would. Yeah it was cool. Everything that you're not supposed to do and we really we didn't give it together I don't. Consider your behavior, and that time isn't it really making years this person if you want to get back with them but I think it was a good listening going what not to do, and so we beat further break up I realized that that was embarrassing and it wasn't a true encapsulation of my character. I didn't think but I'd let my emotions and my fees and my panic, and probably my hang up is the better of me and I. Behaved in a way that I wasn't proud of it's a real relief to hear you say that because. We all do embarrassing things I. Think during a I don't want it to sound like I'm saying look you have to have for outward appearances control you suffer God's sake women conduct yourself in the proper it's not about that. It's about. Showing courage and strength at times that are really hard in your life and not just behaving irrationally or illegally just because you're angry at someone having been a bit of a break up monster a few times in my life I realize that there is a good in a bad way to do it the really important for me was the night contact because when you've got a clearing books and a clear hit spice and that mental real estate to process what's happening even though it hurts. I march. You can move forward and it's not so much even about the anger but it's just that sadness engraving can make us put into glasses on just wanna go backwards to feel safe again because we don't dismiss the person, we miss the rituals routines Sunday night dinners at their house the family you know everything that you lose when you lose a break-up. So you've got this massive gaping hole in your life now that you desperately want to fill again with what you love and no. So you just have to be strong in that time and night context is critical because if you keep trying to hang out with them or you don't want to be rude if they're hanging out with us shut night, do that for how long is I fifty days just to establish a routine in the habit
Sitting down with the Kotlin Advocates
"We are all develop had for Katelyn. Some of us are for areas that are better well known some of us of areas that are less known some of US offer areas that say oh. Oh, you mean that Kotlin is more than just android So talking starve aside talking Kotlin Jaaz stalking everything else that is not android and so I wanted to discuss a little bit. What life is like as a developer advocate at jeppe rains as a cotton develop advocate jeppe brains, how we work, who tells us what to do what not to do well. Before, I I would say that it was mostly we would decide and then sweater you decide now for us right? I wouldn't put it like this. No I'm just kidding. Like I know you're laughing there you're muted it doesn't make sense. I can record my life and you can after add it. On the places that you want. Yeah I'm like are we gotTA have a back? Channel on slack that I keep pressing a button that says you know now laugh and then everyone loves so this is I think to the vision death like long time ago so But anyway. So No, let's let's discuss a little bit like what what color advocacy implies. So especially, nowadays that you know a lot of times when we talk about when we talk about advocacy in general. People immediately associate that with going to conferences and giving talks and. Engaging with people in the community and stuff like that. And you know right now the situation in the world is a little bit. and. So people kind of ask me sometimes, I what do you do all day because you can't really do your work can you and we're GonNa Bust this myth right that developers are more than just about going to conferences. And to bars and to. Having Beers and and the. And the podcast yes. So what do you do? What? What do each of you do on a daily basis try to out a lot with a on on twitter and kind of A feeling for how people feel about technology, it's it's pretty known that that Cutler Jay s for example, has a couple of rough edges them So I tried to kind of see who is trying to adopt the technology try to help them get started and can either be on an individual basis reaching out to people asking them for their feedback to the technology, and then bring that back to the team. But it can also be in the creation of materials than the people can just consume at their own pace. So for example, on play dot, Copter Nine, dot org, we have our section of hands onto orioles, which are kind of long form to`real, you've go through in interactive fashion and we of course, right those we keep those up to date and we always allowed the community. What kind of topics should be covered. And also keeping with the Team that actually developed technology right Shanyou well. As, we know that the Greater China? Region is huge. So for me I think it's more important to facilitates with community. So basically I Love connection with the community leaders. Mostly East our cutting user. Group. Part of. Confront you. And I tried to arrange some Webinar, to invite sound speaker to share their experience about calling. And the in order to. Make more people to learn calling I arranged. Study Group. Study Jen. that. We have on lies degen that Basically teach people how. Write calling coat. And we also have their coating practice. that. Encourage. People to use calling in different way. For example, we use calling in beckon you can have a new can learn how to write calling. Using Kato War or even in Spring boot. You can use calling in enjoy can use calling in data signs. Et Cetera so we provide. The possibility to poke to calling is everything. So that's why we do every for every day.
Trump calls for drug tests before Biden debate
"The president trump has spoken to the Washington Examiner yesterday in the Oval Office and he saying that he would like Joe Biden and himself to take drug tests before the debates begin next month. And they asked him why do you think that Joe Biden might be on drugs INCAS, listen I I'm pretty good at this stuff. He says that Joe Biden performed very well during the debate against Bernie Sanders and he said there's just no way. He can pull it together that quickly let's bless you. Nice little sticky. Your. Trump says he takes one aspirin a day, but he would like drug tests. The V. Before the debate start I think it's at the end of next month and to September Well, you know what he's doing, right? No he saying Yawkey accused me of so much stuff out of nowhere. This. Just so ridiculous even even trying to get me out of office with impeachment and all these things that were made up none of it ever. True. I'm. GonNa Start Making up some stuff on you I'm just going to start coming up with things out of the blue. To throw a show, see what it's like. He did have an interesting about the debate. He said, well, it's a prize fight. It's no different from gladiators except we have to use our brain and our mouth and our body to stand I want all standing. They want to sit down which I thought was an interesting thing. I WANNA be standing during the debate. They won't have chairs so I duNNo. A lot of posturing at this but the part of that is strength. Of, strength. vice. President Cheney has major major heart problems. So when he was in the vice presidential debates when it was he and Bush were the the team. He had to sit down for his because of his heart condition and that was part of the agreement with that. But if you're not, if you're not having, you know if you don't have any kind of health condition that would prevent you from stain I thought they would do. You remember or not but. I thought they would do several debates in several different ways like one would be standing. One would be sitting would be a town hall kind of setting the way I, remember there there are stools and when it was your turn to speak, you would stand and or and so that with the other person was speaking, you'd go back and sit on your stool. Then when it was your time, you would stand and. Come forward to speak to the people in the room that was one of Hillary Clinton's big complaints about one of those debates where they had the stools in a town hall setting and instead of when he was done, he wouldn't go sit back in his chair he kinda stand eight feet or so behind her and just kind of pace back and forth and she said she felt at ver as like it was. What do you call that? He was talking her coming like he was stalking her and trying to be you know what that's called that's called Gamesmanship. What people do he figured out? I'm not going I'm going to change this up. I'm GONNA throw her off her game by I'm not GONNA, sit? I'm going to stand. It's it's it's strategy. Yeah I. Remember when I remember this because I'm ninety one years old. But during the Bush Al Gore debate when they were doing the townhall went on the stools and Bush, was answering a question that was asked to him and Al Gore. Walk Right and got in his face. And he stopped and looked at him like Hey. Buddy. And then just went on with the stuff was a great. You know you've got a good laugh out of it. I mean he taxes he's privacy going. Hey if you get on my space yeah, I, remember that because it was a big deal that. Gore tried to intimidate him in Bush just kind of made everybody laughed in Gore had to step back and then it. A mistake that Al Gore may again, they do all kinds of that little strategy game what they say when they shake hands, what do they say because a lot of times people will say something to kind of make you reek wha, what did that mean rise to make you think before you start but in the the the Romney Campaign Against Obama that vice presidential debate biden wipe the floor. With the what's his name? The Republican? He was the speaker of the House and he he's a Paul Ryan. All Ryan. Yeah he's a he's a fake. Yeah. Fake conservative. And Yeah Biden. whipped him in the debate. Yes. So he's he's not a bad debater if he's if he's Going on his own. So the strategy begins now I guess, of course,

David Grey on Barefoot Dynamics
"You're listening to another episode of just fly performance podcasts. It's awesome to have you guys here. I hope you're having a great week and thanks for tuning in. So, one of the ways I've been evolving in my journey as a coach has been in really getting into more of a joint base model over a muscle based model on not just in Rehab but also in performance. And I've learned this from several coaches, the I was was in the performance, Roman, that was working with the dairy embar, and then I got into it on the Rehab End with Gary Ward at the end of the day. And I'm sure you've seen this. As this podcast has gone along, but but starting with bio mechanics, starting with the model, by which the body organically and naturally moves and going there I, and if it's that's broken than fixing that I rather than. Working jumping to exercises and muscles I and it's the body is a beautiful thing. We learned so much from it in Moi's excited to dig into it and more of what it does. I'm thrilled to have David Gray back on the show David was our guest for episode one sixty. We talked a lot about the link between pro nation the. gluts, incomplete knee extension, sprinting and running and whole lot more. David is a Guy David is a bit of A. A conduit for me in the sense of he was my first exposure to get rewards Wedge System David I have been corresponding the last year on topics of the foot and pro nation. We oftentimes end up working with the same athletes in the online space together me of the performance end him on the Rehab and and bio mechanics, and it's really been an amazing learning experience for me so I wanted to get him back on the show this time. Flip initially flipping the script. We talked a lot about pro nation last time. And I wanted to start off the show actually addressing super nation, just because I think pro nation can prone as the big thing, but we. We don't just focus on one thing like it's not. The human body is not just about one thing or one side of the equation. If you listen to my podcast with Rocky Snyder recently, I had an experience where reducing the sensation of super. Nation in my foot had me feeling a little bit more like. Like my old, my springy high school self, the way that my feet were popping off the ground, and anyway I just wanted to get into that element of the foot, and we also get into a lot of ideas on on barefoot, and why actually we always say barefoot awesome, and it is, but for some athletes and some clients it actually may not be all. It's cracked up to be based on some pre existing factors, so we're start off with a lot of great talk on the foot and super nation pro nation barefoot. And they we're GONNA get into David's thoughts on a joint base model on addressing knee pain, Achilles Pain in David's go to's in making sure that kinetic chain. The integrity of the kinetic chain is there when we're looking at does an athlete. How would it takes to stabilize joins properly to move properly and to have this baseline by which all other strike strength interventions can be effective, so whether you are looking to get out of pain or years looking for a fuller understanding of the human body, and that joint base model by which we move and operate. David Mandate. It's good to have you back on the show. Hey thanks very much for me. always great to. Actually saw I checked before I came on its nearly a year since we last on a podcast and we've chatted quite a beating. In that year, but I'm going to go to catch up for sure. Yeah, a lot of lot's happened since our last I guess. There's a lot of chatting and and cool exercises and things we've. We've shared in the virtual space with that in the time that we've talked so. It'll be great to get to a lot of that today and. Last time, the topic was pro nation. And then this is some of the stuff we covered since our last show, but. Super Nation right like I. Mean it's like you have to be appropriate, but I think I'd like to cover the opposite end of that spectrum if we're always looking at the the interrelationship so. Crew start off a little bit. By what is the? We need to be functional and and and build a work well athletically, but what is the importance? Maybe I describe it to, but what's the description, the importance of being able to superstate the foot in human movement. Yeah? I guess, yeah, we did talk about pro nation quite a lot last I'm I'm quite detailed. The forties quite detailed Bush. If you if you want to call it, pro nation, just kind of the flattening the actors of the flush. than super nation will be the opposite. It's kind of the lifting the actions of the Ford in the foot sex. Alaskan coma. It was a full grown man Well abusing a child, he didn't want to make a look like that in the video, but that's essentially what it was. And I had a feeling that tick tock was a playground for pedophile in that video definitely confirmed. "A lot of this is. Do we even really know what's happening. That's interesting, so you've had experiences where you felt like you know. The was glittering around you or something. Yeah? So. The first one that comes to mind is just when I was living in Thailand I lived here for a year. The traffic in my city was absolutely insane. But every morning on my way to school at pass the same on a bike at the same exact light didn't matter what time I left my house I could leave early. I could leave late I could leave the same time every day didn't matter I would pass the sky at the light on the bike every time until I mentioned it to my friend. I was like dude. I keep passing this guy on the bike like something like it is weird, and then it just stopped after that like never solve a guy again, so a lot of weird glitch in the matrix kind of things. They? Tend to kind of happened to me before that that's interesting. It's almost like you acknowledging it made it stop. You know it's yeah. It's really interesting in that kind of mindset because I don't know ton about quantum physics, but there are parts of quantum physics from what I gather. That light if you're if you're If you're expecting light to react a certain way off based off of scientific patterns. I don't know how it all works. But? You. Know they they do certain experiences, and they expect a light to react a certain way and. It does. Unless you observe it. And when you deserve it, it does something totally different than what it's supposed to and I think it. Does something different every time like at random, and and it's just like one of those things where unless you're observing it. If you if you don't observe, it does with supposed to do, but if you observe it, that's when it does something different. And that's it's really tricky. It's something I I don't understand. I'm just a guy with a podcast and I. Think about things that are way above my head, but It's Kinda like that. Where once you observed it and you acknowledged that you observed it. It's soft. Yeah and like I've thought this Shanghai scenario. I've thought it into the ground like I've considered every possibility because it makes no. And so I did, I was like okay, so what if like from the very beginning? They were using some kind of reverse psychology to try to not get me to look at them so that they could. Maybe. It was like an alien thing, so they can do whatever they do behind me, so I was completely distracted like at considered every possibility, so you can gone down the path of this being some kind of. Extraterrestrial experiment on you yeah yeah. I mean I didn't get anywhere with it to be like. Yes, like this one hundred percent. What happened but I've? Considered everything. I can I can understand going through something like that and trying to rationalize anyway possible and you know the, and that's the thing like when you first me I was thinking I don't know how to even begin to put this into any kind of box. It's not an no Boschetti supposed to go, and it has little pieces of everything, and it's just like throwing on a table mix together instead TATA. Yeah Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, it's really interesting, though very very interesting. Like the with. The Christianity aspect kind of working to stop it to like that still trips me up like I. Don't know I don't know what that means like. Why does if I start saying Jesus a lot? Then I'm fine. That's typically my go-to. When weird things and It is interesting. You know people talk about claiming the name of Jesus in during a paranormal situation or something, or maybe even paranormal, but their life is in extreme danger in the cry out and saved her miraculously saved, or the paranormal experienced. You know stops and all that stuff but then I heard of people trying that, and it doesn't work. you know these I'm talking about people who you know are saying. They believe in God. They believe that you know Jesus and all that stuff, and it doesn't work for them, but then there's I've heard of stories were Muslims have cried out to Jesus and their experience stopped and so it's very interesting dynamics of that and and obviously as a Christian myself I recommend that you know at least somebody you try that, at least you know. I'm not like a ghostbuster. Sometimes I. Get emails from people saying I. Need Your help. Call me now. I'm like there's not much I can do to help. I'm a podcast and I'm not. I'm not an exorcist you know. so my recommendations of people who only thing that I know that I would do in a situation which I would just claim. The name of Jesus see what happens and go from there But sometimes that doesn't work and I it's just. It's really interesting to me. Because when I first heard about that I'm like okay well, it doesn't work for people who maybe aren't Christians, but I've not working for people who aren't Christians and I've heard of her work. People who are supposedly not Christians. Yeah, it's like at the time of this at this experience I just recently finished like a pretty big meditation kind of deal so I I wasn't. Wasn't super. Even really in the Christian sphere like I'd Kinda let that go and a lot of my like really weird, even like scary stories tend to happen like as soon as as soon as I let go a little bit of Christianity to the point where I'm like. Is something trying to scare me back? Like why would something what to keep? Scaring me back or I don't know what to make of that either like out if you'd asked me like as I entered the airport. Like what do you believe that would have been like I'm really not sure just kind of seeing what's out there. And then you know ten hours later here I am like have the blood of Christ lake stronger than new Jesus Jesus do. I. Don't know what to make that either. Well I mean some people, and I know I'm sure there's people that are gonNA get angry. That even would even suggest this you know. Some people would say that you know. Your experience might have come from your lack of stability in your face Even go as far I'm not saying that this is what happened. Just saying. We're throwing out ideas brainstorming out loud, even going as far as say that whatever maybe you were exploring spiritually or not, exploring spiritually opens you up to certain experiences. Fishing, but you know that's one trip. The experience experienced be opened up to. Right. I've heard of. Spooky things coming across the table. You know blinds opening something like that, but. She's being brought into another realm, and having Shannon of gang stocking mind experiment done on you and the Shanghai airports kind of trip. It was crazy. Absolutely crazy. Talking about crazy. I mean what what are some of these other crazy experiences? You've had and stuff I. Know that you said that you had some other things. That you've went through stuff. What are some of the things you would like to share with us? Let's see. Do you Wanna go dark or happy I just? Why not go dark I all right Let's see so I've mentioned in the the first story that I'd like recognized that vibe like that shift in the atmosphere. so the other story that kind of goes along with that. I was home alone and is getting pretty late, I was messaging a friend again. Just laying in my bed with my dog had my back to my bedroom door door was closed. And suddenly the entire house just goes.

"So we love nothing more than bound. Take dystopia here. It's indisputable the scarier. The better But just makes things up today. We wanted to talk about some frankly. Pretty Creepy Tech. Which might actually help us. It's this area of development which focuses on tracking and predicting pandemics which for obvious. Reasons is a pretty handy tool to have right now. We work in this sort of hybrid of of data mining as well as crowd sourcing and that information collectively I gets pushed organizations like the. Who That's professor? John Brownstein from Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He started working on this about fifteen years ago right after the SARS outbreak in two and three which killed almost eight hundred people and he realized there was this huge untapped pool of information when we started this work now over fifteen years ago. The idea of pulling information from from news media and social media wasn't really sort of thought to be valuable information. We recognize that both news and social media were providing huge amounts of information but that was scattered across the web as we thought to ourselves and this was the time win sort of global news was coming out and Google maps. This idea of a mash up that organize. All the world's information about disease events classified it trained it in a way to produce sort of living breathing real time map of disease events that was sort of never seen before okay so the way. The system works is it calms parts of the Internet for certain words it associated with an outbreak and the white learns is by getting better at Beta at classifying those words as more or less important year and these are really trusted techniques now but in the beginning when John and his team started spotting breaks in the middle of thousands. People were really skeptical. What we found was were thousands of events happening at any given time. That weren't really sort of being reported on and what's interesting. Is You know at the time this seemed to be sort of almost maybe looked down. Upon as you know source of information that wouldn't be as reliable as the government agencies. Were putting out but then what happened was sort of something flipped and that data actually became a huge driver of what governor agencies used understand. What's happening both within country and in neighboring countries internationally? When did that happen that you're describing? What what was it? I think the major event were really there was a recognition of these kinds of data was h one n one swine flu where the first signs of. The outbreak didn't come from government agency reporting but came out of local news media talking about a mysterious illness in Veracruz Mexico. Residents of this hillside Mexican village of three thousand believe their town is ground zero for the swine. Flu Epidemic. Even if health officials aren't saying as early as February neighbors were coming down with unusually strong flu symptoms and the caseload cab growing and subsequently the idea that you could actually track virus in real time around the world off through piecing together information sources became very clear that these data sets were valuable. Was there like an any element of discomfort or difficulty in You know this big institutions like. Who recognizing this source of information in recent they previously. Maybe looked down notice. That being was actually really useful to them over. They just just grateful. I think the reality was You Know W. H. O. Was trying to enact new health regulations. And sometimes it's really challenging for them to understand with actually happening in country and so then you know especially in places with limited. Internet freedom or you know places where they're just not a lot of transparency and what's happening and then sort of in some ways applied this newfound pressure for government agencies to be more transparent because the information was gonNA come out one way or the other you know I think there was real recognition that you know this was valuable. I mean I think there was a point very early on where you know. Various organizations will read that making data to open and producing a map of all. These up breaks was gonNA cause panic or have an impact on economies and that. We've never really seen that. I think we've always applied this idea. You know putting the public back in public health. As an important stakeholder when we're dealing with an emerging disease event and that's why it's important to be as transparent.

"Purpose mechanisms. They actually allow controlling partners to monitor their significant others with shocking accuracy. According to The New York Times kid guard the APP largely aimed at parents also bought ads alongside Google results for searches like catch cheating spouse APP. These companies found they could cash in on paranoid partners but obviously this wasn't a marketing strategy to tout when reporters reached out to the APP to learn more about these alleged new strategies. They later found KID GUARD HAD SINCE DELETED. It's paper trail of blog posts about tracking romantic partners but when one door closes another URL opens. That's how the saying goes right. Though these safety apps step back from overtly promoting other sorted uses. That doesn't mean they didn't keep profiting the New York Times suspected. The APP said found a loophole. They looked to youtube to see if there was a connection there. They found a wide variety of step by step tutorials on how to use safety monitoring apps to catch a partner cheating though it was unclear if the brand reached out to people to make the videos or if the tutorials by avid users were found later the effect was the same they drove new users to start using the APP especially since the sections below the videos often linked directly back to the APPS website and lest we forget the youtube owners. Special linked tells the AP company that they were the one to send new customers over. Meaning they can be compensated. Handsomely as marketing affiliates. So Paranoia is now a profitable business but we don't often recognize it especially when it's baked into a format. We desperately like like social media and TV. Tell the viewer his side of this story. Through cutting voiceover joe is an unreliable narrator who presents the audience with his warped reality. He's following this woman because he believes they should be together. No onscreen audiences are seeing visual cues. That Joe is controlling and manic. His voice tells them other wise. His narrative is self effacing and witty and more what audiences see defies trope of Stalker. Joe Isn't a greasy haired bum or a social pariah who never leaves the house. He passes for normal to contribute to these complicated. Duality Joe played by actor. Penn Badgley is quiet attractive by typical standards and as many successful shows. No this can be the hook. In and of itself Badgley persona paired with the show's later distribution by net flicks man. You quickly found a large fan base in December of two thousand nineteen the streaming giant. Touted that over forty three million people had burned through the whole first season since it was released online fans praised the show despite the entire premise of you being that joe is stalking back in hopes that they end up together. Viewers are smitten by what they see which is quite troubling website. Refinery Twenty nine confirmed prior viewing habits. Likely influenced this reaction saying earlier. Conditioning from movies has impacted how we watch. Women and men are conditioned by romantic comedies to confuse harassment and devotion which theoretically could explain people's thirst while watching you when a stalker isn't blatantly unattractive or threatening in a way that registers dangerous people are highly inclined to Romanticize that person and TV producers. No it's an extremely fine line between suspenseful and scary. So they're careful not to show the physical violence that can accompany such obsessive. Behavior may simply allude to what could happen and let the audience's imaginations take it from there understandably. This has led to a very confusing dialogue between the show's main actor and its fans. Glamour called this to attention saying one of the most bizarre things to come from net flicks is hit series. You is the amount of people attracted to Penn Badgley character. Joe Who if you're unfamiliar is both Stalker and a murderer fans who are often women. Keep tweeting that they'd love to be in Beck's position. They wanted their own joe's pining after their every move. These fans even tweeted at Penn Badgley inviting him to come kidnap them understandably Badgley replied on twitter to set the record straight. He sent replies to fans underscoring the reality of the show. Saying Joe's a murderer and but you're supposed to see past my face to the crazy shit. Badgley has now taken on the role of moderator reminding fans of his duality and connecting them to the message behind the PLOT WITH SEASON. Two already streaming. He keeps reminding viewers to look past. Joe's smoldering charm and acknowledge a few bleak truths. Stocking comes from unlikely sources. Don't be fooled by a wolf in sheep's clothing. Tv isn't real and above all it would suffice to say. Badgley believes wholeheartedly that stalking does not justify love or that. An aggressive pursuit should awards stalker that chance to convince their victim. That a real relationship could develop The stockers unwavering need to convince which is perhaps the eareas theme that runs through each. And every one of these stories both real and fictionalized stalkers want to use whatever tool they can be at conversation emotional leverage or their own good looks to lure their victims back within their grass. So as you go about your quest for a special someone consider that relationships are reciprocal engagements. When one person is no longer willing to play ball? The game stops. And if you find yourself waxing poetic about someone holding a boombox outside your window at night remind yourself that stocking is anything but mutual. No person should ever have to convince you to be with them. The power of burst suasion is able for many things. Boundaries isn't one of.

In other words they're upset about how the relationship ended this inclination can make stalkers more likely to physically threaten their rex. Hence the higher likelihood of trespassing and property damage sexual preference aside ex lovers as a collective group remained the most alarming category of potential stockers and one case took this established pattern to a terrifying new low in two thousand eight. A stable committed long-term relationship deteriorated due to one partners. Mental Health and the consequences were grave. This was the case of Cindy Bischoff. A forty three year old commercial real estate broker from Illinois Bishop and her boyfriend Michael Juru dated for three years before moving in together in Arlington Heights. A Chicago suburb in two thousand two. However things started to turn. When Jerus- mental health spiraled in two thousand seven? He lost his job and began lingering around the house when his employment prospects didn't improve he took to drinking heavily having tried to help her boyfriend in every way possible but to no avail. Bishoff finally broke things off. She asked him to move out which he did albeit begrudgingly. Unfortunately having Jerus- out of the House didn't mean he was out of her life when Bischoff refused to engage with him through phone calls and texts. Jerusalem escalated his behavior while Bischoff was at work. He broke into her condo and vandalized the entire interior. According to a police report Giroux spray painted walls furniture even the chandelier on the ceiling causing as much as fifty thousand dollars in damage but the cost of the repairs wasn't so much the point Jerus- was marking his territory. Bischoff was horrified. She knew this violation was meant to Radler. It was heartbreaking but the man she had spent so much time with was now unrecognizable and he would only become more so fearing more retribution. Bischoff took out a restraining order against euro. It was a first step though. She worried it may not be enough. She also asked authorities on various occasions that Giradi required to wear a GPS monitoring bracelet. If he broke the distance stated in the restraining order the tracker would immediately alert police an Illinois judge however declined stating it wasn't within his realm to order such protections. This seemed to indicate that preventative measures weren't yet considered essential in stalking cases. Whatever the legalities. This was bad news for Bischoff as she'd feared. Despite the restraining order drew kept trying to make contact he soon broke into her home for a second time and attempted to hang himself on the patio of her condo. This finally triggered a criminal conviction. The punishment for the patio. Break-in was two months of jail. Time which served. Bishoff was relieved with Jerusalem prison. She finally had some breathing room. She could sleep a little easier at night. At least he wouldn't be following her out of work or worse waiting for her when she arrived home at night after a long and awful saga there seem to be a brief light at the end of the tunnel but this sense of security was also a few months after his release from prison. In March of two thousand eight Jerusalem appeared in the parking lot outside of Bishops. Office this time with a revolver after waiting for her to walk to her car. He Shot Bischoff at point blank and then killed himself. It was a gruesome end to a cycle of predatory violence following her death. Bishops grief-stricken Families Sprung Into Action Michelle's brother and parents were steadfast in speaking about their experience despite the tragedy that had taken Cindy from them. They look to the future hoping to protect others from similar grisly circumstances they pushed state legislators to pass the GPS tracking law that could have saved Cindy the law passed in Illinois one year later in two thousand nine it states that offenders who have broken the terms of protection orders may be required by a judge to wear any type of electronic tracking device as of twenty twenty. The Cindy Bischoff law has been enacted in more than twenty states with at least seven more cases in progress. Ironically the Cindy Bishoff law is still on the floor in California the same state that created the first protections to combat stocking in nineteen eighty-nine and while the laws passed following shaffer and Bischoff murders have created a few tangible paths for prosecuting stocking legislation. Mainly addresses the physicality of stocking. And only once. It's already happening. This is troublesome as mentioned earlier all stages of stocking place a heavy psychological burden on victims and for the victims that do win court action against their attackers. They may still live with the fear that never quite dissipates. A report from the OC weekly interviewed ten women on their mental health after being stocked despite knowing her stalker wasn't following her anymore. One woman remembered the suffocating fear. I always wore sturdy shoes when I lived in the city so I could run if I needed to. Sadly some people never truly feel safe again. Despite taking every legal precaution available it can seem like the only option is to disappear some stalking victims. Have to go so far as to change their names and identities moving far from their preferred address in order to find safety for these individuals. Safety comes tremendous sacrifice coming up. We'll look at the incessant rise of ex-partner stocking and house cell phone APPs. Have compounded this problem now. Back to the story while many victims of stalking are aware that they're being pursued. Thanks to the confrontational behavior of they're stalkers. In other instances new technology has made it harder for some to tell whether they're being tracked romantic partner monitoring when someone uses websites and APPs to watch another person obsessively has emerged in the past decade or so alongside the social media boom in years prior after a relationship ended. If one party was still heartbroken they might check in with friends to see how the REX was doing. It wasn't uncommon to frequent old hangouts like bars or coffee shops hoping for the accidental run in social media however took nearly all the effort out of these behaviors with a couple taps and swipes. It's easy to find out exactly what someone has been up to who they've been hanging out with and what's up next after all social media is a hybrid of accomplishment touting and keeping up with the. Joneses letting your feed know where you are is akin to status a little pin-drop shows people that you can afford rooftop Margaritas but geo tags are also convenient for people on the other end of the APP and there are a great way to suddenly monitor someone even after a relationship ends ex partners and predators alike can use instagram facebook twitter and linked in to keep tabs on anyone they want and often social media profiles go back years worth of posts and data which can help predators identify hangouts routines and patterns the new societal norm of constantly letting people know where we are is. Tricky UNCHARTED TERRITORY. Take instagram for example. Fifteen years ago. The APP might have been considered privacy liability. Remember the stranger danger ads from the early two. Thousands Yeah instagram. Might have been something. They'd warned you to stay away from before social media it would have seemed absurd to broadcast the details of your personal life to complete strangers. Where you work out where you shop for groceries. What your pajamas. Look like all of that used to be private but as it became more common to be less protective of our personal information we to became more voyeuristic towards others today following someone else's life every day via their instagram isn't creepy. It's normal so little by little. We want to know just a bit more about everyone. It's pretty logical than that more access in general makes us inclined to be curious about potential romantic partners when we're told from every angle to look listen and like it's hard to curb the habit and if someone starts paying attention that we don't want well there's an easy solution to that unwanted exposure right. Just put your activity on private or block them on the APP. Not Quite even when users make their accounts private and don't tag their location. Other APPs have stepped in to allow unsolicited tracking a New York. Times expose found that APPS meant to encourage safety have now bridged into dual.

Podcast now back to the story following the conviction of the man who killed actress. Rebecca Schaeffer in nineteen eighty nine. People wondered exactly how concerned they should be about. Stalkers Hollywood where the killing had taken place was relieved to see. Bardo behind bars but it was still rattled. Celebrities grew wary of their pedestal status. They worried about the sightseeing tours. That wound through the Hollywood hills pointing out. Exactly who lived where Bartos trial had certainly brought incredible privacy loopholes to light the private investigator that he hired hadn't had to very far to locate Schaefer. He'd gotten her address right from the Department of motor vehicles and it wasn't just movie stars. Who are alarmed according to NBC journalist. Patrick Healey the case reminded people that danger could be lurking right outside. Cut someone off while driving. They may just go to the DNV for your address. Furthermore the American public was very confused as to how they should respond to threatening behaviour despite the fact that Bardo had been found lingering around the studio lot according to a security officer. He hadn't committed an offence warranted arrest. He hadn't done anything wrong. That is until he shot Schaeffer to address this the pivoted to how to prevent more tragedies in the future to massive changes were ushered in I in one thousand nine hundred eighty nine as reported by the L. A. Times California Governor George Dukmajian ordered the Department of motor vehicles to restrict the public release of home addresses in order to protect motorists from possible harm or harassment. At least now no one else could go sniffing around public records to obtain home addresses a small consolation and the following year in nineteen ninety. California passed the country's first law criminalizing stocking according to an article in good housekeeping. The law makes it a felony to cause another or their family to be in reasonable fear for their and carries a state prison sentence and this legislation has held strong for the past thirty years as of two thousand twenty. The law is recognized in all fifty states. But even the strictest laws are by no means the end of the complex problem of stocking the tragic murder of Rebecca Schaeffer was simply one extreme example if anything it demonstrated that the process itself begins long before it can be recognized in fact. No-one was addressing the elephant in the room that we're bombarded with threats of stalking on a much more casual level all the time. Hollywood romantic comedies. Have Long touted. Pursuit of Elaine is an unsettling mirror to the real life. Experiences of women being stalked the most horrifying bit though is that his refusal to give up is ultimately rewarded at the end of the movie. Elaine rejects her fiance for Ben in doing so. Not only is Ben. Stocking behavior excused. It's portrayed as successful some may chalk this up to the film being made in nineteen thousand nine hundred sixty seven but that doesn't mean it's stopped being relevant when movies are relished as classics. They influence newer generations and so these troublesome themes continue to shape our perception of boundaries. Especially when it comes to our own relationships we may joke that strangers are the most fearsome stalkers but the majority of dangerous behavior actually originates much closer to home from friends. Colleagues or close mentors. These relationships are inherently close knit and can involve a romantic component as with any partnership involving vulnerability when feelings are expressed the door for rejections swings. Right open sometimes. One person is more invested than the other in other situations. A partner can show signs of controlling behavior even before it seems like a major problem. According to an article by vice news the more unhealthy the previous relationship was the more likely a partner is to stock the other if the relationship sours in other words if a person breaks up with their partner and it causes disagreement or hostility. "Back in the nineteen sixties. There was a little expression to describe feeling absolutely smitten with a person you barely knew. Mooning over someone crushes give us a rush and we can find ourselves obsessively thinking about them. It's fun to wonder what someone is doing and imagining yourself there with them. But in recent decades technology has given us more and unfettered access which can make it hard to delineate where curiosity ends and downright stocking begins nebulous territory. Indeed though stalking can be brought on by anyone in pursuit of any gender historically women have been demographic most affected as of two thousand eleven. It's estimated that one out of every six women in the United States has been a victim of stocking stalking is clinically defined as explicitly engaging in a course of conduct directed at a specific person that causes significant emotional distress in such person and serves no legitimate purpose to boil that down. It's one person keeping a pulse on another person at nearly all times with the hope of inciting some reaction that allows for further contact or control. The game for stalkers is cat and mouse equal parts psychological and physical and to play the game. Moves or behaviors are required. Stocking is an umbrella term that encompasses a slew of aggressive actions including but not limited to a stalker repeatedly calling or texting their victim which can be followed by harassment on social media the aggressor may even take to slandering their victim online in order to provoke a response often when this type of indirect contact is ignored. The stocker may make physical attempts to meet their victim. Unwanted notes and gifts can be coupled with a stalker waiting outside of victims place of work or home if the victim avoids this contact. The pursuer typically escalates again this time. Violent actions like breaking into a victim's car or home or vandalizing property may occur stalkers. Want their prey to know that they were there. There's no escape. Finally stalkers often turn to staging emergencies or distressing situations like sudden injuries or sickness. They're hoping that the situation they've created seem so urgent that their victim fearing life or death consequences must respond responding. It's the result stalkers crave. They latch onto their victims in order to be seen and in order to elicit something in return. They gamble that. Their behavior will reopen the lines of communication by acting this way. Stalkers actually hold their victims in a paradox. They want their prey to be both passive and active on the one hand. Stockers objectify their subjects. They have to to suppress any feelings of empathy for their victims and thus pangs of conscience for their own behavior on the other hand though by attempting to elicit a reaction stockers admit that they're victims have the ultimate power in the game. The power to acknowledge this docker or ignore them. The obsession and pursuit though always remains one-sided despite what a stocker may try to convince their victim of according to. Emily spends deals. Stalking HANDBOOK FOR VICTIMS. Stalking originates in the mind of the perpetrator. Not In the behavior or appearance of a victim some stalkers try to muddy this fact in order to excuse their behavior they try to gaslight victims into thinking their own actions have. Egged on the pursuit that they deserved it in the minds of these stalkers. It's the only explanation that makes sense because above all stalkers believe their own needs and beliefs are the most important matter at hand. These people are their own echo chambers when the reverberation of their behavior bounces back. They explain it away with their self serving perspective. These kinds of thoughts don't have one clear origin. Some stalkers perceive that they have been rejected by another individual. This feeling then compels them to seek revenge. Other stockers claim. They're responding to a victim's entitlement while others perhaps most unsettling Lee of all believe their actions are the result of destiny. One particular type of this destiny delusion is ARADO mania which means a false belief that the stalker is actually in a committed consensual relationship with their victim this misconception can stem from deep-rooted narcissism some individuals are simply unable to comprehend that the person they desire doesn't feel the same about them. The nineteen eighty nine murder of actress. Rebecca Schaeffer was a textbook case of unrequited affection that turned deadly though today. Most states classified stocking as a felony or misdemeanor back in nineteen eighty nine. There was no law state or federal outlining clear. Repercussions for the collective behaviors of stocking. It wasn't as openly talked about and thus it wasn't condemned. People thought that maybe celebrities encountered too many excited fans. At least that's what grocery store tabloids said to sell rags but being followed didn't seem like anything other than Mystique yet. The tragic fate that awaited one actress changed everything in one thousand nine hundred eighty nine. Rebecca Schaeffer was enjoying her time in the limelight. She'd risen to fame on the. Cbs Sitcom my sister. Sanam Holding Court. As one of television's sweethearts and Schaffer had even bigger things on the horizon. She was in the running for an upcoming role in Francis. "Also occur outside of the workplace where it's just a whole bunch of people that appear to be around you emmett or whatever and maybe they altered something or maybe they installed something to monitor you in generally it's to mess with you bright right i mean that's the perception is that somebody him and he would happen over and over and over and over and over so this is this is the way he describes you're in the middle of this ridiculous irrational impossibility that has real and looking through a window into the hopelessness and the and the terror anxiety of this this person's life if you want to read more of these why don't we wake up in the morning and say i'm doing this for another day join us for season three of committed we're still figuring this now you can listen to committed every wednesday on the iheartradio app or wherever you get your podcasts and we have returned now we hope that if you're listening to this show while you're in a public space you're not getting in facing the weirded out but there's a big problem they will see with a lot of these well problem isn't the most act word there is a big question that remains unasked in a lot of these firsthand reports in a lot of the literature you will we'll see about the concept of gang stalking it is this why why would you do that right would you would you do it for just pure evil twisted recreation even though is this a situation where mission control matt you and i get together we say hey you know the four five of us should just just find someone on facebook who lives in our town and you know just stalk them just poke the bear the right we're so tired of playing board games let's let's do something different when their friendship which may have happened but that's that doesn't seem it would be the normal thing for people to do not because people are inherently so great or noble just because it feels like a lot of work for a lot of people unless they're getting something out of it so another question or another possible motive that we see cited a lot pretty often by people who believe they are being gang stocked is the idea that these activities are occurring at the behest of the US intelligence community and this again goes to a lot of US reports so there's a site called fight gang stalking dot com and according to so you can tell from the title that too that this is a legitimate real phenomenon and according to fight gang stalking dot com gang stalking is quote list likely a disinformation term created by US intelligence agencies it refers to the intense long-term unconstitutional surveillance and harassment of i has been designated as a target by someone associated with america's security industry mo and it goes on to say quote the goal of such operations in the parliaments of counterintelligence agents is disruption of the life of an individual deemed to be an enemy or potential enemy of client it's or members of the security state arguably the most accurate term for this form of harassment would be counter intelligence stocking so there's a problem here though the problem is this the TI's were targeted individuals are rarely unified in what exactly caused them to be stocked while ladies absolutely in arguably true that extensive and illegal surveillance has been used by past and current governments should not be surprised anybody there's relatively little follow up reporting in these gang stalking stories and there's relatively little coherent explanation for why these people would be driven to fearful actions or to mental instability or at the worst to self harm yeah one you have to apply the motive problem then to the security state or to the intelligence agencies right why what is their motive four targeting that individual and then this goes to the the trench coat clad fedora wearing elephant in the room is this a genuine phenomenon and occurring the way in which it's described in or the people experience scraping it accurately or are people some if not all these people experiencing some kind of delusion that that that could be considered an offensive question but it shouldn't be it's a necessary question absolutely if we're going to talk about this we have to at least i think about it so what do we have to go on where where can we look to for some answers like what what what is what do we mean when we say delusion well let's jump back to that vice documentary again huge shoutout to the team members advice they created that documentary it really is fantastic and there's a lot of insight here in things to think about to chew on philosophically so they interviewed a fellow named josh basil or e. l. he's a physician an author and he's discussing the psychiatric definitions of delusion and he's saying that these tend to focus really on two principles the first one is that the ideas if you're a at least if you're experiencing a delusion the ideas that you have are not vulnerable to evidence so if someone shows you look this thing you believe it is not true because of this i have evidence that wouldn't matter because you would still believe it okay the other part of a delusion is that people in your immediate sphere of influence perhaps the people in the culture at large or in your town or in the case of billy maybe maybe the conservative neighborhood where he's moved to those people don't share your beliefs so they don't believe that what you believe is happening is true that would be one of the ways we get to considering someone to have a delusion now he goes on to say the question becomes this a full quote the question becomes if you can find ten thousand people on the internet who believe the same thing as you is that then a delusion is it is it even bizarre quite possibly what if everybody believes this stuff at least this would be the question you ask yourself as you stumble upon ten thousand other people that share your in this case what he's calling asian is it in any way insane and the answer would be no because it is not delusional look at all these other people who are experiencing the same thing and i think this is it's a fascinating way to look at it because then does it get into the realm of group delusion or is it still on the personal level of because it is a very personal experience gang stalking the perception that i am being stalked it is not what is though gang stockers are looking at my whole neighborhood or looking at my whole cul de sac or whatever it may be it's generally a targeted thing that's why they are called targeted individuals i don't know a tough thing it's a tough egg to crack there for for me at least it also goes in to philosophy yeah that's that's really what what the psychologist is doing here is looking at the prom bloom of perception reality oh yeah no you're right so that's that's a that's an egg that our species has yet to effectively crack we know that things can become normalized for people at a cartoonish lee quick rate so we know that our our concept of what normal is is is very malleable and we know that our species tends to look to anything we perceive his peers for confirmation of things and also at the weirdest times were very talented a big up in each other i mean maybe that's just my experience but i've had i've had some conversations with absolute strangers that confirm some deeply old kirk quote unquote crazy things that i believe you know and and having someone else whether you meet them in person whether they're just a a a block of text that you can assume is a person talking back to you in confirming your beliefs having money else say that is a light in the darkness for a lot of people you know what i mean and that's a huge that's a huge thing that's atropine fiction that's a common experience in individual reality to have someone else say something to you the let's you know i'm not the only one we do that in the smaller i like the the smallest marsili insignificant situations you know like let's say you and i an paul-erlich recording studios matt and then all of a sudden there's this weird you know where'd you come from where did you come from continental joke he will look around and we check even though when we're a relatively saying mental stuff arguably but even we still check like hey does anybody hear cotton hi joe or is this finally that psychotic break we all knew it was coming this and i want to get too far off topic there but i can see the power of that certainly and reinforcement all the way right and then there's also set and setting in which i think continues in the quotation oh absolutely i and i'm just before we jump into that i wanna talk about a concept of self-preservation if we are experiencing something where we believe we are experiencing something we we err on the side of safety for ourselves personal safety rather than on whatever the social mores would be whatever the standard actions to take would be for someone in all occurs when there's a perceived connection that may or may not be there so we're we're talking about seeing somebody walked by and then seeing that person may be walked by again the hyper vigilance within a lot of people expe- racing this would be oh that person may want you know maybe a part of this thing that i'm already feeling or already believe i'm experiencing rather than perhaps that person went to go get you know something down the street and then you didn't see them walk by another going back down again or you know something to that effect but ultimately what this is or what that means is that people experiencing this are going to be more hyper aware of things like that because as they are so worried about their own safety already because of the anxieties that are brought up by feeling this way it's almost like it just builds on itself so then josh goes on to talk about how there are real world incidences of surveillance either targeted or mass surveillance that maybe we should be worried about that are there are very much real they've been proven they exist around us every day and then i'll just read this quick quote from you he says because this reminds me of stuffing once you know he says given that the world is filled with groups of people operating in secret or trying to to divorce us from our money or power or whatever they want from us one thing that might be helpful to ask from a psychiatric point of view is what's wrong with the rest of us why am i so relaxed what's wrong with me why don't i feel like i'm being gang stocked is it that i'm living in the matrix where in order to feel more comfortable i've decided to ignore a lot of the evils in the world and a lot of the potential threats to me and they're he's referencing the NSA's mass surveillance of cities since within the united states he's referencing other countries such as the UK in england over there where you know they're the most cici tv cameras per taffeta anywhere on the planet he's he's mentioning that this stuff is very real and why aren't more of us worried about that kind of thing if you apply in a more general sense what the these people who believe they're targeted individuals are feeling too on a mass level let's say that yeah su- booths let's spend just a just a second on that concept because it's the other side of that coin right it's the it's the other side of the argument if you feel like you're being gang stalked and then you go somewhere new fined ten thousand other people say yes it's true then how are we supposed to feel if you don't leave your being gang stocked and then you're one of our people who are saying yeah no it's true it's they're out for all of us why are you su- chill out is wrong with you it's an interesting question because it hits on that i it hits on that need for consensus that is just baked in to every human mind i want to go back to the concept of hyper vigilance because it's another concept that is baked into the human mind and that is a pattern must exist yes in so much so so many of our even relatively mundane activities especially our observations there's this little voice in her head may not be able to hear it all the time because it's tough for us to listen to ourselves but the little voice in your head is always going a pattern musty assist a pattern must exist right and this is this is a crucial skill we have to have to survive in the world ever since we were not the apex predator we were running around trying to figure out what our aid to b.'s niff- then's were that we keep us alive for the next hey so arguably hyper vigilance is just a reflection of the mud or just an extension of that much needed survival skill now if it sounds like we're poking holes in the experience of gang stalking that's because we we are asking written questions that haven't been answered snot necessarily uniform motive there's not necessarily a lot of follow up right or very many good stats on the phenomenon known as gang stalking but speaking the other side of the coin there are things that are like it that are proven the reality of.

"Most serial killers don't make any effort to involve the media or investigating. They're very secretive. They don't want to tension. They almost want their crimes to go on notice. But the idea of committing a crime, and then calling the police and bragging about it. That's a whole 'nother level of terror. Dear editor, this is only expecting. Do not print this cipher by the afternoon of Friday. First of August. I will go on to kill rampage Friday night. L cruise around all weekend killing people in the night and move on to kill again. The best part of it is that when I die. I'll be reborn in paradise. And all that I have killed will become my slaves. The creators of Atlanta monster come season two. This is monster zodiac killer. Listen and subscribe at apple podcasts or on the iheartradio app. All right, Chuck, so. America's way Letterman's being stalked. Rebecca Schafer's killed Theresa Saldana went through this. Let's do something about this. Finally. Yeah. And stuff to get good statistics. Because. You know, it depends on what state you're in. What the definition of stalking is whether or not a cry, and this is one of the big problems is the actual crimes committed like now stalking is a crime. But before that, it was like, you know, it's not necessarily crime. Like, you said to be waiting for someone in a parking lot. Right. It's creepy. Yeah. But allows him broken or if laws are broken their little misdemeanors, usually like trespassing. Yes. So it was always a sort of legal gray area until you know, like you said the high profile incidents happened. Right. And that's when the DOJ DO g the DO double G when snoop Dogg. The DOJ went get serious, and they created a legal definition of engaging in of course, of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to fear for his or her safety or the safety of others or suffer substantial emotional distress. And that definition is really important because it says cause a reasonable person to fear. And while that's open to interpretation. It's not a it doesn't say like there has to be literal vocalized threat to to count. Right. You know, like they don't have to say like I'm going to get you in in you know, where you for raincoat. Right. Like, you can just feel that threat if you're reasonable person. Yeah. In that in that counts. Thank god. Because that's that really opens opens it up, you know. Right. And it doesn't even have to be the threat doesn't even have to be. A physical threat either could be like I'm going to make up lies about you on the internet, or I'm going to go tell your parents, you know, all the all the like stuff. We'd right. Yeah. They're like we did drugs like there's all sorts of different ways, you can threaten somebody like guard violence gonna trample your flower bed. Exactly, there's a lot of ways you can threaten and intimidate somebody in all of these things each of these axes considered harassment. I was looking up to try to figure out. What is the distinction between harassment and stalking, and it's really tough to find an obvious distinction from what I could get a harassment are the individual acts that people do when they're stalking and stalking as a pattern of harassment frequently escalates overtime yet. And it also obviously blurs lines with domestic violence like it is. Yeah. And I think you can you can even say it is a form of domestic violence. Definitely depending. Yeah. No the person at all, right? The minute doesn't count. Yeah. There's a lot of categories of stalking. We'll get into a second. But domestic violence is definitely one of the cradles. That stalking is born from yet. And one of the really sad things about it is there's. A lot of times it it just there's no possible. Good result. Like. Oftentimes, a Stocker might stop. But then start back up like too often. The result is like someone's death or a physical attack. It can't be or there's just no closure resolution. Right. Like, even the stalker stops that doesn't mean that the victim is like, okay, my life back to worry about that guy anymore. Like that the the trust the security all of those things that that most of us just take for granted on a daily basis of been lost. And they're not just immediately regained because it's like, you said with soccer's the behavior can be discontinued. And then it can start back up again out of the blue. And so you never know when they're going to pop back by or it probably freaks you out even more when they stopped communicating because what are they doing? Right. What are they up to? Yeah. And even if they get even if you're stalker gets thrown in prison or gets hit by a bus like there can be irreparable, psychological damage done to you. You may never be able to trust another man or woman again. Been in in have a hard time finding a love relationship that
