"More focus today which is a skid row. Today you alert so case. You haven't guessed it so far skid row is our artists for today here. In the first thing you need to know is that skid row is still out in touring all Sebastian. Bach is no longer singing for them. And we'll get into reasons. Why later on but they're still auditory and like many other hard rock and arena fill in SPANDEX wearing bands. They are on a tour this summer. It's called the big rocks summer tour. We'll give you details on that. On the way. But I we gotta get to the music and with skid row from New Jersey. Y- you're talking about some tastic music top notch late eighties early nineties rock music and their self titled Album that came out in January of nineteen. Ninety nine was an instant success. The recording sold over five million albums worldwide. The group went on the road for the next couple of opening for Bon. Jovi Aerosmith Motley crue and with that kind of clout. You respectfully Gimme you get an extra plan. And since March madness has been shelved this technically would be a solid sixteen seed for any number one. See to take on. We're talking about the plan for a skid row. Mount Rushmore that brings you arguably one of their most popular songs as a play in not even one of the ones carving into the face. It's tip off time. Are you hydrated your oxygen tanks? Fill because it's time to climb motherfucker not only will not be able to satisfy every greasy haired nose ring with a chain wherein metalhead but these insanely limited choices others. Leave it at that. They're insanely limited here. We go the play in today. On this Mount Rushmore of skid. Row Dave the snake. Sabo says it. This song was neither Rachel nor is favourite song. They didn't want to include it on the album. They wrote a lot of stuff. That didn't make it. And at first this was on the pile to be overlooked. Listen I'm going to let Sebastian Bach tell you the rest of the story from there. The guys that wrote that didn't really want that on the record and our manager doc came to a rehearsal and you got to hear the song and I. Let's do I remember you and I go you. They don't want it on the Ragu but I want you to hear it so we did. It and doc was laughing the whole time. I didn't know if he thought it sucked but at the end of the song he goes. I go what he's like. That's on the record. Lighters aflame everybody. It's playing time with the song that audits writer that he was wrong I remember you on the skid row.

"I know that for back so if you're gonna tell me you're gonna put greta. Van fleet. Listen is greta van fleet. <hes> have the same kind are they motley crue no but they're a good up and coming band with a good sound people are talking about down and they've got a buzz. They did ban that kiss could have helped or you do it. The way crew did it and bring out alice cooper which was a great double bill. Just give us some more rock and roll man you. You knew the business behind this stuff. How does a ban like get greta van fleet kiss pay them kiss. Does it have to pay anybody to sell obvious the fact they have pants. The answer is paying them. Probably you know we've done tour slash. He paid us five hundred dollars a night. Take it or leave it. Listen slash to not say it that way but you take because you're gonna plant in front of sold out shows that he's going to sell it whether we play whether the painter paints where the comedian tells jokes and then you gotta make it work. Do your merge g._v._s.'s. Can you make money off this but that's kind of the way it is. It's like iron maiden. You're going to sell out either way. That's why i remain has all of steve's kids. Bands bruce's kids bands ads. They don't need anybody else. They're giving their own kids a chance but at least they're giving somebody a chance you know but as we wind down here with the the classic clash josh i guess the question. Which one do you like better shout at the devil or two festival. I tell you what we accomplished today. Absolutely nothing ah because all we did was argue in respectable tones a did anybody keep score. I don't keep score just overall. I actually kept score high. Sell okay but no but for me. It's right down the middle. I picked five too fast for love and five from shout at the devil. I never thought oughta actually thought coming in that. This was going to be a landslide for shout at the day. That's why this is so good and it's split right down the middle so if you go by that i think there are as there even in my eyes from that now obviously i'm going to gravitate toward shout at the devil but when you look at it from song to song which is what this is is it split right down the middle for me when it when it comes to shout at the devil i give nikki so much credit because to me the second album album is so much more difficult than the first through the first. You've been working on all your life. Since the day you picked up a guitar or you were writing lyrics or or drumsticks you've been working on that first album forever and then that first album hits and too fast really didn't hit hard for motley crue. It had a decent didn't amount of sales but nikki was smart enough to go all right. I'm onto something here now. I really got to put my brain's into this. I mean i don't believe anything thing on shout at the devil was leftover from too fast for strat- i s snake sabo i said was there anything on slave. That wasn't on the first skid row he goes no. That's all brand new stuff and that's where i give bands. A lot of credit 'cause to come up with that second album that is is on par with or better than that. I so that's where i give nikki lauda credit but i love to fast because it's motley in its purest form. I'm gonna go with the devil for all the reasons that you said and plus the progression as <hes>. I think to me <hes> to kill them. All all all songs are great but it's very <hes> their first day at songwriting school songs. If you're great nikki is it's a great record but he just continue to get better until he started getting fucked up on heroin. Just like james and laura's got better the more they learn more they grew so i think i think too fast is a great record but to me <hes> show the devil is is collapses. It shows the power of the motley crue and where they were going to go. She's just made an excellent point like when you hear too fast for love..

"And I'm doing my show this I'm I'm sitting in the studio, and I'm interviewing Taylor Mommsen from the pretty reckless, and she doesn't know anything about she's even know who shouldn't even realize who he was. But I'm in there. And I'm in the middle of this pretty intense. I forget we're getting into some heavy subject matter, and we're talking and I have no idea he's even in the building. And then all of a sudden in the middle of conversation like a blur. He comes running through while we're live on the air. Punches me hardest. How right in the shoulder turns around and runs back out of the studio. And she, you know, she's like thirty years younger than us. And she just looks. She goes, whoa. What was that? She goes that looked like some sort of like, really weird friendship or something or something like that. And I was like pretty much was that's how we express ourselves. I yelled into your mic, like you're listening to you on a radio is like sniffing, really bad fart. Yeah. Yeah. Ran out. And then just held on my shoulder with the look of her. She was horrified like security like what just happened because it was in and out like that. It was amazing. If you ever see there's an old skid row. Video was it. Roadkill guys are in the airports, and you're. Well, it's it's never ending hijinks. Catching any of that is the new guy in the band on dishing out? Look for you. I had to figure out is very quick ITO beaten meeting. Oh, my. You may want to invest in an athletic Cup too. Because they've been doing. On your outlook any other which are no fun at all. All right. Well, listen, we gotta end on the second here on time. So I appreciate you guys. You're by I'm looking forward to seeing you sing for the first time. And it's thanks. Great songs. Can't wait to hear him one of my favorite bands. Everybody knows that skid row, and they'll be performing tonight on the monsters of rock cruise. Hey, it's Eddie trunk and this is the trunk podcast in. That was snake in z p from skid row from the monsters of rock cruise this past February good to visit with those guys. Good to meet z p. "Fucking good. It's great. All these little. Pantley we know it's fine. Everybody would do that. Same thing there you were not creative, particularly fire for reason and goes still goes on the trunk show. Eddie chunk is awful. He considers himself like the standard bare metal and he's like, I'm the voice he, but he all he does is Ellie dozes namedrop like I was texting with Carlos Cavazos the other day and name-dropping dude. So you would never name job ever go. Yeah, Don dock and sent me a Christmas card talking about him in George lunch, getting back together, like he like, meanwhile, he's like fifty five and a record store. Dude, it's, he's like the king of the nerds veto on fucking picks basically what it is, but he's also like, hey, but he'll have these dudes on and they'll rehash old beef like like, oh, we've got Don dock and end George Lynch in the studio, and just let's no, we have security present just in case it gets ugly and it's like these fucking sixty. Care cares q cares. But Jackie leak came in on precedent interview with Jay Lee and Jackie just comes on and he's like, obviously the first time anyone's ever asked him about it. So he's just super full of vitriol and bitterness about getting kicked out of Ozzy via fax while he was working on his muscle car. I mean, you gotta see that hired gun. You gotta see that shit common. You You know. know, push, you got, you know, Jake. That's just this one happened. Sorry. That's pretty cold. I mean, they could have known. He was working this muscle carbon, a really all home. Spy, they're like he's working on his muscle car. Because your phone was fired over facts. Facts is not about if you didn't get the facts. Facts is not a not a hundred percent reliable. So what if you didn't get the facts? And then like weeks later, he shows up to two our practice and like somebody else's. They're like, Dave, the stinks, Dave. The snake Sabo is there. He's like, try out different dudes. It's like what's going on here? And he's like, come on over here. I got something to talk to you. The whole way he's in the whole way and then they go, you've you've Steph to you ladies. I ha ha ha than they like he goes into the hallway, slam the door and lock it fired. You can. Are you fool all the way to Los Angeles being the people in the room and that situation after like. Turnaround all the guys trying out Georgia Lynch, Dave, the snake Sabo more warranty, MARTINI all the all the heroes because that's what happened at one point Ozzie Ozzie gig was so lucrative that all of these dudes rat. Why are we talking about this. How it goes because we're actually veto but this. But this is exactly what. This is Eddie trunk is like, because you'll be like another thing Ozzy was what he says, such an indignant way. Hear that by music burnt burnt. We this is a really, really bohemian area living somebody's playing either a child or somebody who doesn't know how to play tambourine playing the timbre. I'm thinking child. All right. Well, talk about word podcasting outside enough. We did, but the sound of the birth background, we talked briefly touch belief, but we can. I mean, this is we're outside. This is where we're gonna podcast. Yeah, but we're under one hundred shelter under Christmas lights. Pretty right. This is really all right. I think the takeaway from driving here gave some time to think everything is going to be fine. I shouldn't be such a baby about my life drive, not listening to music. Just listening to sound of your thoughts. No, I list. I listened to the Marc Maron podcast with MacAulay Culkin. Down, which is not good at all. And he's like, talks about how he owns Bill, hey, owns an apartment in New York that he bought in the nineties and his under rent control. And that's his insurance policy for when his money runs out. It's good good policy on policy until the fire happens. Interesting. I did last week a drive from here to..

"They were thinking about order they're thinking about asking john bush to come all yeah that's fact yeah yes so john's talked about and that was right around that time yeah and so you're metallica almost had just a lead singer which would have been john bush because kirk justin flown out like when they started rehearsing in sayerville because you know johnny's he was obviously an old bridge only right there and i was the barbara service nineteen because kirk hamid i was at the last show mistimed played with them which was at a place on staten island the paramount theater i have right he could starts ray the bill and i if i find the tickets about tweet the picture the bill at this show was vandenberg all right as the headliner yeah the rods raj i love the raw and metallica as the open jets right and i was there and mistaken played that show and then not long after they got kirk and they played a place which is literally five miles from where we're city which is still there and is now a strip club called the chefs rice it is it's now the showplace in dover is now half a strip club and half a really cool vintage recording studio yeah that's right my friend of mine owns it yeah so but kirk i saw overkill there early on i did you guys ever play there i think we did nothing and then metallica played there and i thought it was needs either the first or second show a cry i have to be odds because they were like i said they were i was helping the now that we had a big stage back there was a it was a banquet hall when it was willie's it was and it was just a shot beer joint used to be called the journey milan and it was a railroad car and it was all gene.

"Hope he's going to be the coach when he's not he's not going to be not in this not in this climate no way but idea and i like some of similar players i think it's a little bit it's runamuck over there are a little bit and things have gotten out of control and again the judge steps the story the judge yep for people i mean i know where most of america pros and care about this but again here in the new york new jersey area what is the g would this season the gia the giants or having was exactly the season the jets were supposed to have and it's completely reverse and i think that's the whole thing a wire like i'm tired of i'm not a trust me i'm not excited in lake exuberant about the jets future but we thought it was going to be a one in fifteen years something while you're almost screwing yourself by winning exactly you really are which is what the know what perennial eight in eight seven and nine and you never get the right drought each like you were the east coast the northeast version of the cleveland browns you know we're going to end up with the just draft picks that just don't work there is a time of season or two ago during the football season that myself snake in zach wild were all on a texting thorough and that was little every football sunday that barrage would start coming in and zach could zak is a fellow giants fan snakes the jets fan baia it was a those are some of us i saved all of them because they're just so much comedy going back and forth it's amazing what you can get out of one sunday afternoon of football as far as like days of comedy just kept going and going oh my god it's too good so anyway as i was mentioning when you know before sneak got here.
