"Ends. And now we're going to get The Seahawks, calling their second charge timeout. We're going to get I'm out. They had too many men on the field. And for the second time, Pete Carroll has had to burn a time out due to Defensive issues. We're just watching that last play. Never that ball's a foot higher off the ground. Cooper runs in the end zone with an easy touchdown. Habit. A great catch a cz we have seen with Dr these first two weeks he is firing out of a foxhole. Surrounded with bodies. Or you need to look at that. Every time he throws a bad pass, you look at the people in front of him and what he's happened to throw through. And you understand it. Too tight ends. Here's the gift, Elliot plunging straight ahead and I don't think he's going to get in. They wrapped him up just short, Nice job leaning across whom Afford third year player out of Texas. Like the Cowboys Kid Norton Jr in Pete Carroll. Both have been leaning heavily on their defensive tackles this week. Saying they need or From that group. Well, that's that's what it boils down to down here on the one yard line. Getting the push on center Antoine Woods comes in Big locker Give Elliot Elliot lunging and Elliott in With the Dallas touchdown. You got the big black from Woods was wrapped around the waist by a Seattle defender, but just extended himself enough. Break the plane of the goal line for the Dallas score, and normally we'd be saying Right here. That, uh Other running over their big left tackle Tyron Smith. I don't have that Now, You just don't.

And ends up with the absolute perfect play. He called out. 56 is the mike backer 56 comes on blitz. They pick it up and you got a receiver and CD Lam running down the middle of the field wide open. You know, he's such a valuable player, and I know he's doing everything he could. I don't think it was a bad decision. There is an unfortunate Play battle back from that 15 are coming and those guys rushed in and covered it again. The executed situation. Once again, Mike Grable's team rallies a 31 30 victory for the Titans today to move to three told you how the Cowboys were backed up to their own one safety for the Seahawks defense, So it is now Ah 9 to 3 Seattle in front, The Bears rally in Atlanta as we just heard from Jeff's L, however. Ah, it has come with a price. And it is feared that Tariq Owen has suffered a tornado See also a huge blow for the Bears offense. New York Giants Confirm Saquon Barkley Tore ACL, Out For The Season

"There are terrible injuries all over the NFL yesterday alone. Nick. Bosa. From the niners Saquon Barkley from the giants both suffered torn ACL statistics show that through two weeks nfl record twice as many significant injuries as last year. It's actually at least six players suffered a torn acl including just recently Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin Eleven, injuries to starters in the one o'clock games alone John Do you think these injuries have something to do with the fact that there were no preseason games. Well. For example, the Rams don't play any of their starters in preseason games I think is in the spirit of your question i. think it has something to do with no camp no real camp they kind of shotgun training camp and I don't know how you could make the opposite argument that it has nothing to do with it. I wouldn't tied to preseason games what I would do it to the fact that there was very little tackling. Yes in. The game started and the other thing is I know Kyle Shanahan the niners felt like the field wasn't ready like the field I think he played in the meadowlands and he's got play there again next week because he played the jets and now he's GonNa, play the giants. Players on both teams going down. So I don't necessarily think that the facilities were one hundred percent prepared either I think again, I think the spirit of your question is the fact that they fast tracked everything and started the season. Because of Covid is that having any do with the injuries I don't know how you could say it doesn't I think it has to yeah. I mean I I completely agree I mean between training camp and preseason games where guys at least get a sense for what they get a reminder of what getting hit is like. I think they're I think they would be better off. It is an extraordinary number of injuries and none worse than Christian McCaffrey who's gone for four to six weeks and his the stalwart of my fantasy team just loyal to John Ireland how about? Yeah. I cleaned your clock thinking Matt Ryan. But. How about how about Saquon out for the year? Yeah. Entirely out for the year Bosa gone for the with a tornado. And that means that the giants I. It might be a race between the giants and the jets who the worst team football is. The whole new. York City area has to just garbage football teams because the jets are a mess and now the giants have no running game. So it's going to have it's going to have after-effects. All these

"Kevin Shockey is standing by. The Cowboys and Seahawks are underway. Kevin Yeah, we're just about halfway through the first quarter here in the sea office offenses had one chance at it before their current driving. It was not good. It went for negative six yards after an Alden Smith sack and what feels like a rare three and out for the Seahawks this year hadn't extended drive when they got the ball for the first time 13 plays but only 55 yards. And it started the 25 forcing Dallas to settle for a Greg Zuerlein 43 yard field goal and a three Nothing lead. Prescott five and nine for 50 yards against a beaten up Seahawk secondary. That big play Dalton Shelter. The big Cats, a 28 yarder physically with three rushes for just five yards, and there we go, the Seahawksoffense finally waking up here as Russell Wilson just connected deep to the middle to Tyler Lockett for 43 yards. And their first touchdown of the game. The Seahawks now taking a 6 to 3 lead with six minutes 39 seconds left here pending that extra point against 63 Seahawks. 6 39 left in the first quarter. But and Jason Peters down boy, That's it would be a devastating injury to it already hurting a line. Let's check in with Michael Alonzo in Philadelphia, and then things just kind of kind of crazy for the existence of the injury situation. We lost the number of the people in defensively. Look at that. It's an ankle. Looks like you are like injury. But now he seems to be going off on his own power. So It might be good news for the big offense. 11 offensive lineman for Philadelphia 23 23 right now, 55 seconds to go in the other time when I had mentioned a bit during our pregame hip That somebody still has to go. And it may take the entire overtime for the fun of this side. This ISI who doesn't equal now keeping this tribal I would've foreplay. 12 your drive. They had a one year I'm a quartz actually to your quarterback sued. By course, you went there trying to get to the bangle 43 or 44 Yard line, which is within Jake Elliot's reins on this one. He didn't make it onto field goals. This afternoon. But look, you have tied this contest when they Carson wants touchdown run with about 20 seconds to go in this game right now. 36 seconds going county. This is 34 years ago in county we're tied at 23 of the overtime. All right, thank you very much. I said to Jeff's L in Atlanta, where was a stunning maybe should be studying at this point Lost for the Falcons. Jeff Welcome back. Well, Richard. It's great to be back to report on the same story over and over and over again that there's a beat the Falcons 32 26 Atlanta was up 26 to 10. With 6.5 minutes to go. The Bears outscored the Falcons. 22 knots and in the final 6.5 minutes after only scoring 10 points in the first three and nine minutes, Nick Bowls comes in relief of Mitchell Travesty. Police three touchdown passes a three order to Jimmy Graham. 30 1700 Alan Robinson 28 Yard of the entity. Miller, If you want to do an autopsy on this one will just have to go to clock management. With nine minutes to go. The Falcons have a third and by in their own territory, instead of running the ball on killing 45 seconds. They go for a pass. It's incomplete..

Cowboys employed the “Watermelon kick” to pull off comeback

"Cowboys last night, pick it up lay dowse needed to recover that onside kick and they did this is a team that was trailing by twenty in the first quarter. Somehow some way climbs back in and got the own onside kick and marched down the field and kicked a forty six yarder to win this game somehow cowboys pulling off the improbable here is the winning quarterback Prescott after the win. Yeah, this is huge because McCarthy said at halftime. We need to be here. We need to be right where we are and he said the final score didn't matter as much as a finding out the type of men that we have the type of fight that we have within this team but as I said to show the resiliency to go out there and continue to fight. Continued, continue add it and just be able to come out with the win. It does so much obviously way better than star knowing too. But going one one and I'm having a lot of confidence after after we put ourselves in such a big hole in the first quarter. Just, just stay at and everybody believes each other that was huge and so in. So many ways.

The goal line down five with a chance and cam gets stuff not even close cam though and Ross did put on a show eight total touchdowns between them but the Patriots coming up too short here is Cam Newton on getting tonight on that last play. It was a great play by. Day We had favored gain program the couple of times figure. This thing into the world to midtown but identity today. Said so confident about. Being bowed executing. Could've balanced it no looking to. Better. Better here at the end. And You know we we put ourselves in a position to win and. When you do that and just gotTa Got Senate, show you'll be. and. With that, we welcome in our quarterback Michael Vick Mike. Let's start there. Would you make that final play the game? Cam said they may have went to the where one soon times with that play but that's the play that they executed. Well. Over the last two weeks and I think he scored a touchdown early on a similar plate and even ahead of play action off of that place. So. Bet Play is a play that they can use any. Situation would be third down. Razov and has been effective. I honestly don't think it should it came down to that play. There were plays in a game I think maybe one or two cam probably would have won it back. A couple questionable, third-down caused, and which they ran the ball nate allow Camden Doda football so. Probably should've never came down to that wind play particularly, but I think cam play well play winning football. They play football on both sides and I was very impressed highly impressed but off this play will spend more plays for the doing pages in Kansas and let's really comfortable. Running a system and they're going to be a tough team to beat. Not Soon Change. They're going to beat the New England patriots. Team planning the postseason easily but at the same time. They're gonNA come situations in the game where they gonNA. have to find ways to win games like this and I'm pretty sure that they'll go back and look this film. It comes down to them being. On one and a two yard line and finding a way to get it in I. Think they was kind of shocked in that moment and just search a four play call.

Fantasy Football Forecast: One BIG THING you should know for every Week 2 matchup

"I sit out the way New Orleans versus Las Vegas raters. We saw New Orleans showcase really really solid, really great defensive performance against Tom. Brady and the buccaneers They were pretty on disappointed as a team, lot of penalties on their defensive side of the front. The saints rebel to take advantage of that. La Raiders played against the Carolina Panthers last week and gave up thirty points. It's very possible that New Orleans doesn't look as Resi as they did against a really solid defensive front in Tampa. Bay and they might have their way with a raiders team that is still kind of pretty young and trying to get their footing and all this stuff. They don't they had an injury to majority of their wide receivers in the last game. So Dan, Waller seems to be their only solid option. At the receiving side of things that might mean there in Waller's uptick in target's share and my means, he gets an ends on this year or this week maybe something good happens for him I'm buying all the stock now I'm Kamara right now for this game, this should be Alvin Kamara. KAMERA's two touchdown, a hundred yards from scrimmage plus game. This is this is the one I wouldn't see why would be any otherwise and to be quite frank. I think that a lot of players on seem to have a really big game and this would be a really fun game to see trae Kwan Smith. I'm going to bring them up again. This'll be a fun game Trey Smith. Look to be a solid. Relieving game just for brevity and sake of saving saints, fans of fantasy fans alike, some worry as to what the saints offense can look like without Michael Thomas Soaking up a lot of the defensive pressure. All right. So Fancy implications all over the place you know Josh Jacobs. This could be a really good test to see just how much they believe in Josh Jacobs as a pass catcher because I don't know how much he's going to be able to do in the run game considering New Orleans is when had and still does on one of the better run defenses in all the football. I think the best game. Pound for pound this week has to be the night game on NBC, where New England is playing against Seattle that they're going to be playing in Seattle New England the we have a kind of banged up cam and she says it's the there's no hamstring issue but. Of Most people are saying that he does, Kinda. Have a little bit of a hamstring thing going on and we'll see how that affects him with all read option stuff and what we saw from last Sunday's performance maybe we started to see cam throw a little bit more, and then we can really see just what this doing his offense really has to offer for them sure that bill will have them ready for whatever and we saw sea hawks offense that basically let Russell Wilson do what people have been asking. Them to let Russell. Wilson do for basically the majority of the back half of the dense. You know twenty seventeen was to let Russ Cook and Cook did Russell Wilson? Do He only missed four passes? He had A. Great amount of yardage great touchdown passes de que look. Nice at times he did have some drops of course, Tyler Lockett looked really good. Chris Carson looked amazing. In the past game. We had some really good screens run in for touchdowns. They got tight ends involved the plethora tight ends at the seahawks own and their defense was literally flying around all over the place. Now, there are a lot of garbage time touchdown stuff in that Falcons game that I'm not GonNa hold against the defense when it mattered. Jamal Adams and of course. Everybody else in that defense just looked phenomenal. They just looked physical. They looked like they were flying around and making plays they look very formidable as team very formidable. So. That is a game as the May have a lot of implemented implications on things so KEEP IN MIND I think one of the better secondaries in the League is New England's granted they played against. The, dolphins but they did not allow that many receptions or receiving yards at all for either receiver on the dolphins and Tyler Lockett, and care very athletic fast guys but. It's going to be tough. Is GonNa be a tough about we'll see what happens. They may have to change up the strategy of leading Russ Cook for this game in particular and work through the old tried and true run the ball and try to make something happen later on in the game. But for US Russell Wilson owners like myself I hope they just let him throw the ball a little bit more that'd be nice. That would be fun I think we'd all like to enjoy that. So moving on towards another game I think the Baltimore Game at four, twenty, five eastern standard time on CBS is going to be a good one, Baltimore versus Houston. This game can go I think Houston is a team that kid look Jacqueline Hyde and they've been jekyll and Hyde ever since the Shawn Watson is come on that team and. Not Sage. It's the Sean played bad last Thursday. But he definitely did not look comfortable one hundred percent of the time and you just was trying to make plays. His offensive line wasn't there fully stout at all and when it was time to just throw throw throw things Kinda got out of hand for Houston Houston can't be a team that gets to behind too quickly or else it is going to be nightmarish for the offensive line. And it's going to be a bad day for Shawn Watson even though he can make miracles happen at will while Samour's in perfect position to take on a team that showcase bad tackling display. So this is a team. So if this is the time where you want to be like, okay JK Dobbins, he didn't have that many targets but hey, he got two touchdowns in is the time to test out the JK Dobbins is going to be. The album? Kamara. To Marketing Rooms Mark Ingram. So we'll see what happens here Lamar he this seem doesn't tackle well, Lamar could have himself a anywhere closer to forty to fifty yards rushing easily against this team if he wants it, and of course, Mark Andrews is a guy who I would think would eat very well against the Houston team that allowed drivers Kelsey to get like five catches in the first half with ease marched up and down the field with ease Look to see how David Johnson looks in his second bout. David Johnson had a nice surprise of a Comeback Week one performance that a lot of people were speculating was possible and he delivered for the most part. So that was encouraging for many people to go ahead and see so I wouldn't. Put it past him to do it once again. That's really really against the I think that Brandin cooks is still a bit. So that would not be. Great for folks owners. And I would be looking at anybody who has. Willie snead Willie snead was all over the place last week and it was almost to a shocking amount of how much willie snead was dependent on and I said Willie snead. That was not who I meant to say I meant to say will fuller will fuller will around the field for the Texans last week and I would like to see him continue that stretch because that would be. Pretty awesome to be completely honest. I. Would like to see a will fuller healthy and showcasing that he is here to stay in this league and thus it would not make me feel nearly as bad for short.

"Mccafe's seventy, six percent on the perimeter and week one lock at twenty, six percent and you're right. Last season we saw that now look, let's say metcalf was out for whatever reason. Then you might see them get a little more creative sometimes, you would see go more gonNA slot but that's not the case metcalf is very much a threat in the perimeter we know that so I fully expect him to travel obviously, there are similar size at least Gilmore's the biggest bigger corner for the saints or the Patriots and Jonathan Jones should be unlock it in the slot. Remember. The Patriots Defense Lhasa Pieces in the off season certainly Gilmore wasn't wasn't as normal dominance in week one but he was elite last year and so was his past offense fewest fantasy points to perimeter receivers second few overall two receivers, and again that's where Amac aligns is on the outside by the way. The Patriots. Defense only allowed one hundred, twenty, six yards to dolphins receivers in week one. So I I, know that's not quite Russell Wilson and Seahawks, but still they did an I

"Maybe, the most impressive team of the day was Seattle. Russell Wilson was thirty one of thirty, five, Oh my God for three, hundred, twenty, two, yards, four touchdowns no picks. That's ridiculous. Thirty one of thirty five metcalf picked up where he left off big day and they destroyed Atlanta and and I think that NFC west is just going to be fascinating all year long Seattle's not going to have a home field advantage. You're not GonNa have that twelfth man thing they got going out there but man, they're they're good and they're a veteran team I I think Seattle. Really is going to be a very difficult to deal with this year that quarterback may be in the prime of his career right now what year nine for him it is e was so special in that game. He was so good. It's just he's. Become. So, much fun to watch play fast the operates and how he's really gotten such a feel for the game. Seattle Seahawks re-sign suspended WR Josh Gordon

"Yesterday at the V. Mac and Renton among the rookies linebacker Jordan Brooks, battling for playing time and learning from Star veteran players like KJ, right in body whitener, those guys the first guy's inability, Bobby occasion. So I guess he's learned how to be a professional to take care of your body. Our bodies our ticket, You know, I'm saying so. We've got to take care of that first to be able to perform. So that's the biggest thing I've learned so far is just being smart, You know, with injuries, anything is going on, you know, get treatment, given sausages in a Make sure you fully healthy to go out there before the Seahawks also today, bringing back Josh Gordon on a one year deal even as the talented wide receiver is waiting reinstatement from the NFL after his latest suspension, the signing confirmed by his agent two days before the Seahawks have to cut their roster to 53 players. "We think now here your hosts Karakia Weird and Mike Song we go what other brock insult. Podcast post draft addition. No more speculation on names. Now we get to speculate on future performance of set names I appreciated. How do you get called out for just referring to people's names where he's coming from like I get it like we were just going to draft somebody based on their nail like okay? Yeah I coming from but really. That's all these guys are. I mean you know other than for a select small group who are studying the tape and they are just names they are and that's why draft you know. Instant analysis is bunk generally y. It's it's challenging too. Great a draft right after it's happened because you know Bobby Wagner. Nobody knew who he was. And Russell Wilson was considered a bad pick and so there there's example after example of guys that were not highly thought of who ended up being great and vice versa. Obviously the jamarcus Russell's of the world and plenty of others who were Curry and others here. Who we thought. We're going to be world leaders. Who who never materialized at all so when you judge draft it's challenging to just you know judge the names what you can judge. I believe is the strategy behind it Brooke and I will say overall. I'm disappointed by the strategy that the seahawks showed off over the weekend. I didn't think it was well thought out. I thought that that it got away from the and we always talk about the game speeding up on you. I wasn't in the draft. I don't know it was going through John Schneider Tad I don't. I don't know any of that personally but the sense I got watching it from the outside. Is that when they weren't able to trade back on day one that after that the draft just got away from them that that everything they wanted to do. They weren't fully able to accomplish that. It was all based on okay. We trade out of twenty-seven we pick up an extra pick in the third or fourth and that allows us to do ABCD and e through the rest of the drive and when that's ratted g was taken away from them by Green Bay deciding. They got a better deal elsewhere. It just saying this. Tom Jenkins Sixty the day. If you've ever done fantasy drafts and I don't do them anymore and played fantasy in a decade. But I remember doing especially in baseball fantasy drafts. And you go into the planet screws it up and I'm not good enough at it and I didn't pay enough attention next. Like gotTa hate by team. I didn't even mean to draft any of these guys. Like congratulations to me. I've got the best second I got chased in the mid. Two thousand right man. I missed that on every shortstop on every on every ace. How did I end up with this team? This was not the team. I know why because I didn't think someone was GonNa Take David Wright with the thirteenth pick and the next thing you know. That's what I was built that I don't know that that's what happened to the seahawks over the weekend but just watching them go linebacker. Who's who's a really seems to be a bit of a Ridge. Even by their own their own words a bit of h you know edge rusher who was not part of the top tier guard. Just kind of go through it. It doesn't it just didn't feel right. Well a couple of things I I use the word perplexing after the draft in in in in the heat but now kinda stick with that word that was an emotional reaction then and seventy two hours later digested. It is still a bit perplexing. I've done a fair amount of work to try to kind of dig into their philosophy on it and I think I've got a pretty strong opinion but you mentioned names Mike and I can't. I can't go any further here. I mean there was forty two years ago on this day. The Michael Patrick Saul came into the world. Jewish that name which is that name but okay. Thanks Patrick we'll go. That name was established on this day. Forty two years ago so happiest of happy forty. It's a great number. Angst is a numerology. Guys you are. This is Jackie Robinson's number. This is Leno hills number four to eight powerhouse powerhouse. Number you kind of coming into your own in many ways. Probably the halfway point of your journey you know usually eighty four. You know a pretty strong life. So congratulations happy. Happy Birthday Hewitt feels like just yesterday. I was miserable turning forty. "The Seahawks pick is in the Seahawks went defense they went linebacker maybe this will make for happy Jordan Brooks Texas tech is off to the Seattle Seahawks but when an organization right there because they make smart decisions I don't know what the hell the Packers are going to Mike Patton and everybody try to get my boys Super Bowl with Jordan Brooks is the is it is a unique player he's a twitchy guy he was one of my favorite guys you know when I was breaking down the line back resisted he's down he'll he's X. instance thank the anybody gets there he hasn't added to you know to Bobby Wagner is get a little older you don't expect them to play solo but now he gets to play behind him and now he gets to learn and be able to step into the role three years from now with Bobby Wagner decides to go you'll hang out on a beach somewhere yeah I I agree with part this guy plays like a sea hawk he has a high motor guy I have some questions about his ability in coverage but he he was a guy that pressure the quarterback a lot he had five sacks he's a little bit undersized only six feet tall which is not ideal play linebacker but in terms of the traits in the way they play defense this is a good fit especially at this part of the first round so to get your reports of twenty seven you're just a Bobby Wagner insurance I think the way they play they could have a both on the field is again I see books a little bit more of a downhill player where well here's a little bit more of a sideline to sideline but this guy was really productive have a tele tackles and a really good pick for that but this part of the draft because I feel like we've kind of dug in deep on a lot of these page there was one that we kind of brushed over that I do want to go back to for just a moment nobody ever talks about the center position but the saints well you know it was right after the patriots traded out we have spent a lot of time on the Cesar Ruiz center at a Michigan to the saints Mike would you think of their decision to go that direction yeah I I like to watch your we've talked a lot about today about the jets we talked about the Browns and the dolphins with these quarterbacks that need firm office alliance and one of the things that Mel Kiper said which I completely agree with was Ruiz has a good anchor so you take a quite who you drafted last year I juries Pete that gives drew Brees all Walford pocket the step up into the pocket to get the ball down the field that's really necessary to put drew Brees in the best position to be successful so unlike what happened in Green Bay which not helping out Aaron Rodgers I love the respect and it just gives them a ton of flexibility and gives pres the best chance to be successful and he can play guard a you know I. I was fortunate enough to watch I believe one of the best modern day centres in a game and Nick Mangold when I see we I see similarities that guy that can anchor but also athletic to do a combination box help help help help a fellow gar with the combination black may get up to the second level create these avenues for runner like album good marvels a slasher guide I can get an adult that has the patience to the hole in their celebration through the hole I think they did a great job of making themselves themselves out on the outside we know to ramp check is there and they have your P. mehr tackles now you're going to make sure that your solid up the middle and and the irony there by the way one the Buckeye ones Wolverine all this comes right back together all over again it all comes back to kind and by the way you look at the at that this this election by.

"I love this question from Josh. You got one and a half bytes left of something that you love on your plate do you. A take a tiny bit and then one full bite or be finished the entire thing in one bite. I guess there's also an option C. Which just keep them out. So I was thinking what about ten small but one thing you've got to say if you have one and a half bytes left of something you love you have not planned while this is like the seahawks in the draft this year in the free agency. The reason that you only have one have bites. Does that you did not like a plan. Everything accordingly for the last two bytes right. So that's you've already made a mistake but the reality is the last bite of food you have a meal you love must be the best so you're saving whatever it is you must have the lasting memory of that dish go all in one and a half by half abide full bite. I don't need too much in. Yeah make your last fight the very best. Yes always. That's it yeah agree. You know what I've found over the last couple of weeks back to the grocery question is we had a chef with the seahawks when we originally got there in the old facility and he would whatever was the day before you knew it was going to be in some leftovers. The next day some soup was going to be made out of every restaurant slang in some kind of special. I have found that those items in particular like steak might try tip steak make which is unbelievable the first night but then it's really good on grilled cheese Panini. Stefanini's can even be good with eggs morning and just continuing to reuse it. So you give me just a big old cow you know or from the grocery store the whole cow take the whole calendar grocery store..

"Seahawks what is a really interesting case study because that's Superbowl man that really was like oh my god no how is it paid me any can't score what was going to score gets why wasn't the first play the game of the second plate again I think was the first one the first snap right now with your wrists head but no man it's it's we're trying to do like a the judge and I was happy but still it's gonna come setting Braga players were saying that they all season long they never faced a defense that hit them immediately after he caught the ball like in their point some good defenses but none of them so everyone said we always got a little space catch the ball could pick up a yard or two this was the first time we played all we were being driven into the ground with regards to the Seahawks to they it was almost patriot ask the division that they were in at the time too because they were in a division where the other three teams were horrible right so the Niners are really starting to pick up but not quite there yet so for them like at the beginning the season they can look at the schedule go out K. we've got six wins here right then and we just got to figure out what another five just to make sure were we get into the playoffs comfortably it just cruise and I mean that was and that was the the Seahawks I mean they were the probably the most dominant team in the NFC during that stretch and yeah nothing I did I talked about the fourty those are pretty good that year they played with the forty Niners they went to the Superbowl and then the then with a good the next year when Seattle one to their first several no because the room how to look up the record but yeah I don't know I mean they might have to backtrack back to back I thought the line back a bit I thought the Niners were good that cap for next first first run and then it right figured Capranica out right and then they went to the NFC title game against liners that the year they want to play the patriots so but that was yeah but the rams at the time were very good in the Carol Anne Arizona was very good yes ma'am good for so but the god it was it was really I mean the kind of content of covered the mines all right again at twenty the radio at Ron Culver that's run would to educated us up on Twitter if you wanna get your thoughts on that as we continue to look at more on the NFL my god it's getting closer SBNation AM made.

"And I understand your point. The point is is that you know, that they're going to try to run the football. When you look the stats and to me, that's probably sounds a little easier. But the problem is is that when you look at the Seahawks is that as we mentioned Russell Wilson is such a viable runner. But. The saints are more explosive. You know, that's the thing about the Seahawks. They just gonna keep chip on chip and chip and they're not attainment scores Tana points. But there attain the likes the possession and possessions touchdowns with possession is a key. I mean, we can look at Dallas their biggest probably issue. This year's been. Yeah. They may have the possession. But are they actually taken full advantage of what they don't drive say getting the red zone and not scorn now this month right here on the other hand are able to execute. And and yeah, I I'll buy that by that you have to respect Russell Wilson more than you. Do drew Brees because these adult threat. Yeah. You never can get comfortable because he's always going to take off. And he's always going to do something that you're not prepared for or the match doesn't warrant an opportunity to make a play in not that this is easy, but you can to a degree crash the pocket and just reek havoc. And you know that stifles drew Brees we saw that team played. And so do that to Russell Wilson. And he's he will kill you. I mean, he's I've never done this. I don't know if you have he's trying to wrestle alligators. Have you ever done that before? No, no. I haven't even thought about that. I've heard about those people. But I think a couple of them are no longer with us. That's true. It looks it looks difficult. But so okay. So we we acknowledged, you know, this difficult hilas task. You know, what the Seahawks colors kinda look like alligator skin? You know, like just that sort of Topi greenish. You know what I mean? Obviously, the librarian the one that reminded me of that piece soup. Oh my gosh. Look worse than the Oregon ducks uniform kinda similar how do you do? You miss the old Seahawks uniform because I do the old kind of kind of close to the Cowboys ones time with the silver and the blue with the splash green. I. Those I like those, but I'm kind of an old guy wanting to stay young. So was it. Oh guy. Do he likes to likes trendy things? I I like a combination. I like the new stuff that's kind of not your forte. Is you know, I love the Detroit Lions uniforms came here and just a horrible with the live green. It's kinda hard to look at. That's that's very it's not good for TV. What's your favorite uniform that you haven't put on of all the ones you did? And I'm talking to your favorite your favorite color. Whether it was the wider, the navy, and whatever it was. I'm going to say the. When I was certainly with the Dallas Cowboys. I I like the blue away jersey sokaia, I never got the really the throwback the white. You know, how they do it? Now why excuse me dark bottoms and why I think white white jerseys. I think. But I I would say I really I was more. I was more biased. I I like the darker color because. It may be it made me look more chiseled grad. I can't even pronounce chisel swell. That's even possible for me. Because I I was a guy that really did have much definition when it come to the camp to the contour my body. But yeah, just like black and makes you mix you look Lehner and Maynard pay. Whatever that maybe this will amaze me, though, Tony is you're saying your favorite jersey ever. Put on was the Cowboys road blues whatever to crimson. When I was when I was in college there's something about putting that crimson on..

"Back on. Really play. So both of these even though the the Packers are kind of. Whoa. Is me right now. I as both teams are playing a lot better football. Both teams got off to really bad starts this year. We all remember with the Packers. They had that that close game. Which Aaron Rodgers got hurt and beat the bears early on turned out to be that. That's a real quality win bears are better than expected, then they tied Minnesota, then they lose to Washington they'd be buffalo. But almost everybody beats buffalo. They lose to Detroit where Crosby couldn't kick the side of a barn. Missed all those fields so sensitive been playing well and putting up a lot of points pensively, but they have to put up a lot of points given up a lot. But but anyway, the offense the last five games put up twenty four thirty one the seventeen twenty seven to thirty three point. I'm going to put points on the board. And then on the other side, you got Seattle which started on at the dreaded into with Denver and Chicago, then they went to the next three. Three. And then some wins against Oakland in Detroit. Now, they're even back up at five and five but early in the season. Russell Wilson was scrambling getting killed back there. They'll live was terrible. But they look a lot better right now. This is very interesting turnaround for the Seattle Seahawks afterward Carol their head coach said, hey, Thursday night was kind of a wild ride. Well, it's kind of loud Thursday night. Really really happy about this win for guys for all of us twelve that we're waiting for us. And we took us a long time to get going the first half just didn't play well at all. But it does show you that that you know, that doesn't decide the game guys went into halftime adjustments that he put some stuff together to turn the game around really stops Kip getting and just played it entirely different football force. And it was just a great turnaround. Russell Wilson was key place. Twenty one thirty one hundred twenty two touchdowns. No pixie was sacked three times in the game. Couple of passes sailed on early on and carols trying to coach them up a little bit. Here was his reaction. Russell just kinda just need to find his rhythm a little bit. I think he's fired up. You know, I think he was pumped up. You throw a couple balls over the top guys that generally it's and it came back and found did a great job. I said some Tony says I'm gonna be all right? I'm going to be all right, which he was exactly right to shut up coach really what he said. But he didn't P Carrollton it players coach Aaron Rodgers for his work on that. I twenty one of thirty three hundred thirty two yards two touchdown sex five times moving around there and being chased throughout the night. Now, they said early on they sit there at four five and one digging themselves in a hole and he was asked by reporter yesterday after the game. If there's any hope left. Hope left for the season. We're kind of questions. Can't win on the road. What what are you going to be able to do? I don't even know how to incident supposed to say..

"And I think that it really good job at doing that again outside of the first drive Seahawks were for fifteen on third downs. Turns got a lot of penetration. They had seven and a half tackles for loss. They got. They sacked Russell's and four times, and they just wanted to line of scrimmage, and it set up a lot of third and longs for Seattle. And you saw during that game twice the Seahawks shoulder frustration by trying to get some late hits in DJ. Fluker. Justin. Brit. Both got personal foul penalties. Trying to push the pile lane. The hawks really tried to get into charter tender in this game too. You saw. After every incompletion every hit every dropped ball. There was a Seahawks player clapping and in the chargers. Talking trash every single time and the charters never backed down. And I know that's kind of cliche maybe a little bit corny. But these hawks tried to bait the chargers. I mean, that's that's their game. They tried to get in their head. And they went toe to toe with them and on offense the Seahawks. They wanna pound the rock. They want to keep the ball on long drawn out possessions. Keep Abbad rivers hands and keep the crowd in it. And the chargers took it to them. They beat them on the ground mongering at one hundred thirteen rushing yards. You talked about both Gordon actor average over seventy dollars per carry. And they just ran it down hawks throat and even with the stall drives you talked about some of the splash plays at ten plus yards. But just seems like they look like they could move the ball at will. And you know after this win. There was a lot of talk about how you know. The chargers have to dominate games like this and better teams will beat them. If they play the way they did against. Hawks. But that game wasn't as close as the score indicated. I mean, again, the first drive was a letdown for the Seahawks, but they basically score when the charges were trying to relent yards for time. You know, the dry before half Gus win in that soft zone. They just wanted to eat up clock. And essentially did the same to the second last drive by the Seahawks and the chargers, obviously should've had thirty points with miss kicks, but one because if they don't miss the first kick, they're not going for two on the second. Touchdown thirty one thirty one ten. Yeah. So thirty plus thirty thirty one at least thirty plus points. You know, they can't dominate every single game. But you saw you know, Seahawks titans are average maybe above average teams in the NFL. But even those both those games came down to the wire the chargers, absolutely dominated both those games. Yeah. I think they dominated Seattle more. So than they dominated the Tennessee game. Just because of the. Way Tennessee controlled the clock and was able to March up and down the field. They got stops when they needed them. But I wouldn't say the chargers necessarily dominated the titans game the way they did the Seahawks game. You know, they give up the first drive and then after that as the Seahawks couldn't do anything. I mean from you know, the eight minute Mark the six minute Mark of the first quarter until about the six minute. Mark of the fourth quarter, the Seahawks really didn't move the ball unless the chargers. Let them move the ball. There was no four progress for that Seahawks team. They couldn't run the ball. The chargers pass. Rush was extremely disciplined and they pen Russell Wilson in the pocket. Even when he wanted to run he couldn't find a running lane. There were plays with aero just driving DJ fluker. And some of the other interior linemen back into his lap and freezing them in the pocket. And he just didn't know what to do with the ball. I mean, they they completely dominated the line of scrimmage. They and like I said earlier they bullied the bully. I mean, Seattle wins at home in particular through intimidation..

"The Seahawks improving to one end soon. What's ahead for the Cowboys? They've got a game against the lions next week at AT and T stadium. And while you can never ever ever ever say that a week four game is a must win game. While I think in this case, you could say it's pretty darn close because beyond that are games in Houston against Jacksonville before you get a division game with Washington play at Tennessee team that owns sudden doesn't look so bad. They would they played tough defensively, and they're going to be a tough out. And then, you know, you get Philadelphian Atlanta, the point is you gotta go get these games when they're there for the taking the fleet to road games in Carolina now in Seattle both games offensively putrid played well against the giants for sure got that one. But there's no doubt the Cowboys got to figure this out before they take on the lines. They speak fees. That's a game that they really have to go out and get at home early game. "Office wants to deal with that you know somebody said he'd do you think they care if you talk politics in a locker room no they don't care if you talk politics in a locker room they don't care what you do in the locker room but they care sanja organ politics in the media and then is stars affecting them and they have to answer questions long as they don't have to answer questions about what you're doing they don't have a problem interesting de angelo you have some similarities to are the seattle seahawks lot of talent a rabbit nfl fan base fairly high profile team seattle had some drama even when they were winning drama washington was always a team of drama adding most of it starts with dan snyder there was the rg three stuff when you were yuban in that log around forever when you're in a locker room and i mean every day you open the washington post and you watched at channel foreign in dc and you listen to nine eighty sports talk in dc and his like drama drama drama drama drama how does it not affect the team i mean he just kinda learn to play through i mean 'cause you is going to always be some kind of drama no matter what no matter what somehow some way they're going to find something in income bring it in a locker room to try to divide the guys and for us you know their whole orgy versus kurt thing i was probably the biggest all good lord biggest thing for two years yeah and so when when when we finally for hotel kurt was going to be the guy you know reporters were kinda board coming to work because they're like oh you know we don't get the kind of like you say poke the there is so but we were like yeah yeah s new football question once again.

"You say here's came with a bullet chilly it of all the truly the full take again this is your choice little square candies a good down six deal we're about the fire subjects you call them the the guys have been weighing in on so we'll give you your own here with the surging cowboyski rolling against the seahawks you will they should they should role against the seahawks because the seahawks just been decimated but i think zeke coming back what he's done is he's just throw some gasana far i mean i read some somewhere he's talking about oh you know a big argument rush for two hundred yards are you kidding you don't want to wake up a sleeping giant like like the seattle seahawks their defense is still formidable they may be misison people but the one thing they can do is they can stop the run and that's the key to to the dow's cobb was wall seen that you can talk about daqing you can talk about the office of lying you talk about a whole bunch of things with the one thing that we learn and i've been saying ever says that was the got to dallas is that this whole offense is predicated on with deck brings to the with zeke brings to the table it even affects the defensive side of the ball because when their head now the defense gets the rolan but if they're even or their behind good defense a suspect so i i it's it's gonna be interesting to see what seattle team shows up in dallas this week but i think you know they just do some gas on a fire in dow's is gonna be plan for their playoff life alvi to go make it i think all the two while teams are probably gonna come on itself in i like gallison this game i think i think they're going to be so jacked up to have their guy back like you said they know he's the engine both offensively and defenses we know defensively which lee back they play a much better or that in i i'm with you or the talking about two hundred yards nato air dickerson that i do think he's gonna have a huge.

"Of the evening and then he started and turn around and that really doesn't happen that often the nfl i think who quarterbacks i think that's why we little bit confused that my wake up moment i guess bordeaux's and i think it was actually a little bit late boys the seahawks game but if he was very good he went through his readings he may great passes great deep passes and i was a super impressed by the skills he shows um i have to say sorry he's not a liability for that team anymore he's not he's the only nonus stars be playing at such a high level they really doesn't make you think that they can go these class yeah and i guess the question will just be to see how dp can take the success right because at this point your certainly thinking to yourself you can see him having a future with the jags and even that some other teams might be willing to look into him now that they've seen some potential but how big of a ceiling is there really on oils and how quick might it be for him to retreat back into his old ways i think that would worry anybody yeah and that's the question that jacksonville half the figure out and quickly right because they're the ones who are you know they have some leverage over hand because they can exercise their option and then they can franchise mcgann but you know he blake might not want to do a longterm deal he my wants to be like her cousin if he's confident in his he also by the way has just makes citizens he'd be confidence in his own improvement in transformation you might poker causing to say hey let me put me on the contrary leyla or but you figure out so let's go because i'm good i'll make 23 million dollars and then i'm gonna get my big contract so there's a lot of parties now who have a very limited campbell size to work with to make decisions about great bertel future i will say this if he goes into the play out there already going playoffs and you advances to say that he's he came it shift i cannot see them letting him go god i love the idea of just a swag you blake borderless leverage such.

"Uh you know the the sort of cautionary tale there about the seahawks trying to bring it outside quarterbacks so they were just incredibly fortunate environ byron maxwell was we'll still available now question was whether or not he was people you know whether or not still had and whether or not he was still the same player uh that he was over his for sport season with the seahawks and he's fit right back in um and you know they they every time they mentioned that they just uh mentioned how fortunate they were that he was available on that they end that they were able to pick him back up or you know just the dolphins so there is so deep at cornerback that you figure there's just not on the roster for barron maxwell and he had the weeks ancestors the case in miami that was a curious one 'cause i don't think they see any money by releasing it was it was purely just a a roster move so it's uh yeah there was but you know as i mentioned that they're that decision ended up a worked out pretty well for the seahawks certainly seems that way and now uh of course he figure with the injuries some secondary even though maxwell is played better than anyone could have imagined you'd figure it was to take some pretty solid efforts from the front seven in particular the front four in terms of their ability to capture the quarterback at an and make plays apple and skirmishes running who impressed you now particularly during the win over the eagles in terms of what they did apple anna scrimmage yeah frank clark why would be that guy duck lightly geared kusak uh yet another will well had to get a penalty where he was off by by um you know a step that would have been a third sacked but um yeah frank clark had one of the best games i think i've ever seen him play there was a you know i think his first sacchi just made this incredibly violent inside moved uh to get free for his sacking yet he he's um really all of those guys though um you know they were actually kinda spin on their.

"Also sunday night up against the eagles obviously it had been a really rough fourgame stretch after that dramatic victory over the texans losing at home to washington the arizona game that was a victory but of course ends with so many injuries including richard sherman as seizing any injury the loss at home to the falcons and then a uh a win win against the four designers that wasn't exactly inspiring the seahawks were six point underdogs at home against the law of the biggest uh the biggest spread against them at home since i believe the traverse jackson era in seattle and then of course really in impressive 24 ten victory one of the more exciting fund games of the year so just to start with this i mean do you think the mood is changing now about this team after this victory yeah yeah i i definitely think so and i i i don't even know actually if if the mood was you know i don't know if if they if it would be fair to say that they've got some you know a great deal of competence back from this game to think that that a lot of the players especially on that defense already had that confidence in you know we we were in a media scrum last week with k j right uh pro bowl linebacker and you know he was informed of your the the fact that as you mentioned they were six point underdogs at home which was most they'd been underdogs home by since two thousand eleven and he would like look you know don't sleep on us and talked about how they still have a lot of talent on that defense and um you know it it is obviously they're not going to be as good without camp chance or richard sherman but you know they still do have five players admit a pro bowl on that side of the ball so i think the point was you know w we still got a lot of talent on that side of the ball and and don't count us out and um i think you saw that sunday night that was you know their most complete defensive performance of the season uh holding the nfl's highest scoring offense to ten points.

"You just can't play you guys like that in a for you can't win that way and all burns offense was so simple i remember thinking i don't know about that i mean the athletics upside is way way high but i was nervous about how and he's out of you ever talked to him nicest kid in the world they said like in the rams facility in st louis the ceiling was like i don't know how i was he could flatfooted jump up at but both the twelve foot ceiling he job unjust but both his hands up like he's as athletically gift is any lime minutes come out and twenty years probably but it's about so much more than i mean it was primarily athletic gifts i wouldn't have played it all a lot of it is just knowing the right way to block a guy knowing where your help is and i just think it gets pretty complicated in some guys struggle in that area and i think he's one of those guys then there's other guys like luke joko it eight million dollars for a year from the seahawks at coming off playing four games torn aco when he wasn't good jacksonville i i don't know why he's getting what's at arrogance on tom cable in the seahawks out we can make we have we've we've made it work with less talentad as tom cable refuses to just let a guy play a position that he played college and and have a off of line like they drought this kid out at the center out of lsu in the second round ethan poacher maybe third round they can implement right tackle like i think cable thinks he gets extra credit if he takes the guy from defense or guy the play basketball or a guy that was a boston jacksonville or a guy that played a center at ellis jew and make some like i think he thinks he gets extra credit if you like.
