What Went Wrong With Cyberpunk 2077?
"Sarah twenty. Seventy seven was twenty. Twenty s hottest. Game in shaping up to be a good enough launch when reviews for the pc version began trickling out a few days before december. Twelve release date but once players got their hands on syrup. Twenty seventy seven especially the. Ps four and xbox one versions excitement turned into frustration as players encountered bugs glitches in more in a report from bloomberg's jason schreier developers. That city project red knew the game was not ready for launch in two thousand twenty according developer quote. They expected the game to you. Ready in twenty twenty. Two based on the progress team was making back in two thousand nineteen beyond just bugs and glitches. Sarah sarah overall performance in playability on consoles like the base. Ps four and xbox one reviled. I gave the concert versions of cyberpunk twenty seventy seven specifically a four in its review. One hurdle was that the developers tried to develop the engine and game simultaneously decision. One developer cyberpunk says was like quote trying to drive a train while the tracks are being laid in front of you at the same time. According to bloomberg. Sarah punk twenty-seven versions not the version have been hammered by players for for glitches and bugs. Some bugs which are game raking and ended up crashing the entire game or sometimes the system is being played on and we'll put a pause there because also acknowledge the pc version does have its fisher. Bugs also but the conservation is definitely have way more issues in the pc version back to the article developers seemingly pushed through challenges by believing they could overcome these obstacles themselves. Similar to the infamous. By where magic but sarah punk twenty seventy seven was developed through periods of intense crunch and a follow up to follow a tweet shire claims that despite promises from management that crunch would not be required. Some managers guilty employees into working more hours by saying other employees will work longer to pick up the slack. Salaries were also reportedly low with one junior programmer. Making around seven hundred dollars a month as for why early previews of cyberpunk twenty seventy seven demo to the public at events like e. three twenty nineteen look better than the final product. That's because the demo was entirely fake. According to the report neither code nor the gameplay was finalized when the demo was made in months spent working on a fake demo took away from developing the full game schrafft's report also references things like cultural challenges caused by language barriers There's this whole double dip release strategy that the studio wanted to go for where The game officers meant to come out in spring The reason why one reason why they wanted to come out. Spring was so that they could release on current. I guess now last gen consoles and then released again on next gen consoles and have that double dip having both those console versions out obviously game got delayed and so that didn't happen happen. The exact way they wanted to even though we still have next inversions coming scheduled later this year and then another thing that stri- report references and the fact that the game was announced in two thousand twelve but apparently full development didn't start until late two thousand sixteen. Tim where do you stand with all this. I mean look at this point. where do i stand with. Like one of the most complicated. Just like there's so many different facets that go into this right like at the end of the day. I stand against the project red and how this all went down like we. How many times do we need to say like this game should not have been released the way that it was just period outing times. Do we need to say that. Like crunch is bad and we need to fix all this stuff. All this is to me. Is we being now in. Twenty twenty one firmly in twenty twenty one developers. Publishers media outlets. Everybody they need to open their eyes to start paying a little bit more attention. Because if you make these mistakes constantly you do not change. You do not fix. Despite the countless flags that have went up for the last decade specifically the last couple of years. Jason is gonna get you. Jason tries to get in there and exposed the living. Fuck out of you and your the entire team and that it hits a point where there is no recovering from that. So it's like that fear alone should probably motivate you to make some changes on top of the you know human decency side of the whole thing right but this is inevitable. Of course shire was going to get in there and of course he was going to talk to people and of course that's going to crap narrative that is extremely not favorable to cd project red. For good reason. They made a lot of very very very poor choices. Yeah now reading this report like a lot of it is not surprising just given the context of how everything's gone down right like seeing the the game delayed multiple times like from this bring into september from september and november and then from november into december. I think that paints a clear picture of okay. Yeah like we know. This thing isn't ready yet but we think we can get there. Okay no like. It's not ready but we we think we can get there with the next delay and that combined with the idea of okay. Yeah no we want to release twice so that we can double dip on consoles And them having to delay into basically the next generation was still have the current gen versions only available. I think that speaks to the fact that they they understood that they weren't ready And it's very much seems like a shit or get off the pot situation for them. All right yeah. We got to put this thing because if we don't like we're not gonna make the money on it and we can't keep people waiting we'll this game everybody be ready. I feel like those questions get asked overall. This feels like a tale of a studio thinking that because they put out a successful project that means that they can't have a fail and that is very evident that specific quote from Jason's article where he talks about. How like people were challenging the timeframe of sarah pumpkin whether or not they could get on time and somebody basically answered back. We'll figure it out along the way because he made the winter three and that is not an acceptable answer right like that shouldn't be cause for complacency. Because you put out incredible project. Five years ago i forget if i mentioned this in the actual article but like there was also the reference of how quickly the team grew after the witcher. Three like basically. The team doubled in size between the wichita. Three and cd project red and they didn't necessarily account for that. And so when you have a team that grows like that. And you don't your your company culture and your pipelines and your processes don't grow alongside that to allow for that For for that ease of growth. Then yeah you're gonna have issues like you can't you can't you can't operate like a big company but also still behave like the small indie company in that. Seems like a lot of what they're what they're doing. Which is unfortunate. Because that's result in sarah twenty seventy seven. Yeah absolutely you know the. I think most shocking thing to come from this are the implications. That three was fake. Like that to be something that i struggled to fully believe or fully. Get behind this on so much. Believe as budgets. Get behind that statement. Because it's like all demos or fake demos to some extent. And i feel like that's this to me is a perfect example of when it rains it pours and it's like when you make dire mistakes you're going to get called out and then you get exposed for every single thing To levels that you wouldn't necessarily be criticized and everything else right you know But anyways like yeah the the each. I definitely want to know more about of him implying. It's fake or not. We do have more context on that. Because adam consider not consistent adam oh no it. Is adam barsky. Yeah from cd project. Red actually responded on twitter. Quote tweeted jason with a whole response. I'm gonna pull from adam. Bankers with adam. Bankers did a good write up on it. From aegean the response goes like this. Adebayo adebayo the steam ahead of cd project. Red has responded to a recent report regarding cyberpunk twenty seventy seven alleged fake three demo and development issues while it's hard for a trade show game demo not to be a test of vision or vertical slice two years before the game ships. But that doesn't mean it's fake but ask you wrote. Compare the demo with the game. Look at the at the other side. They're dum dum dum dum. I'm not sure how that's pronounced. But look at the dumdum seen or the car chase or the many other things with the people reading your article may not know is that games are not made in a linear fashion and start looking like the final product. Only a few months after launch or a few months before launched if you look at that demo now is different. Yes but that's what the work in progress watermark is for. Our final game looks implies way better than than what the demo ever was as for missing features that's part of the creation process features features. Come and go as we see if they worker not also car bush's exist in the final game almost verbatim to what we showed in the in the demo.

Who should replace Ellen?
"News is ongoing. Generous. Ongoing News that won't stop are one nemesis might be replaced by our other nemesis. On their talk show the Ellen show. Well, these are that this is them news, but I do feel like Ellen could be replaced with a WHO, if this all comes to fruition or like a WHO thinks so too person because I'm seeing a lot of people nominate various talk show e people although apparently the rumors are like James Corden is going to replace Ellen, but like he has a show so. That makes no sense to me on any. That's what blows my mind. Why he has eight hundred shows. He has just made another daily show like that doesn't make any sense to me at on. The also has carpool. Karaoke. And then he also has the cat sequel like he has plenty, oh. Yeah. Let's replace a supposedly nice person with another supposedly nice person like. Haven't. We learned anything from this thing. These people are Nice. They suck. I think always be wary of people who say their thing is being. I think the number, one person who should clearly replace Allen is Kiki Palmer. There's literally no. Better obvious. Getting a lot of a lot of traction and she showing up a lot of tweets because it's like she just had a talk show that got canceled for no reason on ABC. Well, it was like that one hour of Commerical Strahan. Michael? And Kiki Sarah? There was A. Third Sarah. Sarah. And Michael and Kiki It just give it to clean working it. Just everyone likes he. We Love Kiki. She's a great host. Who else do you think if if we're going if for skewing young? I think we to Kiki for skewing older, I think it should go to fucking the woman who should have gotten David Letterman, amy. Sedaris like give it to amy sedaris because people like her. She's silly. I don't know that, amy, the thing is I. Don't know that Amy Sarah's would want to do that I. Feel like. I don't need that. We're talking about this on the Patriot. If you WANNA. Go listen to that about how drew Barrymore also has daily, show a daytime show coming out, and I'm like who would want this job? Drew Barrymore wants this job since when like it's just to meal a a weird job that you wouldn't want that could turn you or probably. Turn you into a monster, right? Yes. but the to provide a context in case you've been under a rock people are like there. There have been the rumors for years and years and years, but specifically the past few months they've really you know the hit a critical mass and started being reported publicly like Ellen is an asshole to everyone. Ellen is an asshole. The people she works with Ellen makes people not talk to her ellen cruel. But now there are reports by like news and variety and insider that it wasn't just ellen being a to everyone and celebrities and not liking Ellen like being on Ellen show. It's that the executive producers were actually like being abusive like in sexually harassing the employees. So it's like a culture. Culture of toxicity. That is the sort of thing that I don't that Ellen is deciding up allegedly that she doesn't want to deal with anymore. So she's like this sucks like I just rather not do this anymore. Right. So but this rumor, this isn't this is in fact, this is rumor because people keep their keep going back and forth and saying some some sources say she's not leaving this show sums his sources as she's leaving the show. I. Can't imagine somebody as likely a annoyed with the whole situation who is known to be not a very nice person would want to continue to fake be nice and have to apologize and half to like kind of whatever because these rumors have been. Kind of like I for some reason I, keeping you Kevin Spacey Pre the abuse allegations like when everyone knew he was gay, but no one knew he was gay like it was weird thing where it was like if you knew, you knew if you didn't, you had no idea what be totally shocked it. Kind of feels like that type of Hollywood news where like everyone knew that Ellen was secretly mean except for Ellen fans who had no idea where living happily with ellen everyday of their life and like the show was wildly successful, right? very strange. A very strange thing. Do you think that this will happen because people are so bored in their craving, the Gospel, and then somebody just this is this is what I mean I, think it's I mean. It's a combination of a lot of things at one of is like the people finally speaking out about their employers. It's like finally like shutting down like the. The systemic issues and leg, not being corporate America and knowing that people will support them and believe them and believe them, and that like the media machine of Ellen isn't powerful enough to shut down. So many voices if enough come out and and we'll talk about it later in the episode, but it's like the it's similar to the. Vanessa. Morgan thing, it's it's shades of an ESA Morgan being like I'm going to speak up against the riverdale creators and the Riverdale producers because people are people are realizing that they can do that and they won't get like dumped on by the press or of their fans they will be seen as like heroes. But. It's also just like, I, Think Dakota Johnson had a tiny bit to do with it because Dakota Johnsons like Open crubaugh open open. Rudeness to Ellen SORTA. Gave People. I don't know permission to speak about rumors that she's an asshole more openly. They're like, it looks like that's what Dakota's referencing. So I didn't even know you liked me. Of course, I. Like you. You Knew I. Liked you. You've been on the show many times and don't I show like. But I did invite you and you didn't come. So this time you invited me, are you sure? How do you? I don't think. So ask everybody. Jonathan. Your producer. I was that, why didn't I go? I don't know that became a meme. You have people like Brad Garret and who else replied to him. Leah Tom's Tom's joins. She is mean she is. She. Yes. Now, I can't believe I just called the Thomson. So Deutsche US minor. That was obsessed the disease of this show right here. Yeah. Leah Thompson also respond to that and said Yep I mean, I just think that it's like no one was a true story note once you lose grip on the fear, you are the power you had over I mean, and it's funny because then you have scooter Braun coming out her being like Ellen is great. I. Love Allen is like so people still. Look at the people coming out and say L. Like scooters, hedging his bets at this, all go away and back to normal and Ellen will still be powerful and whatever, and then you have people speaking out i. just it's a fascinating reveal of a monolith almost kind of crumbling that you didn't think would ever. Be exposed like this. I didn't. It seems like Palmer is getting a lot of A lot of press over like a lot of tweets being could replace. Ellen is trending key Palmer got a lot. Tiffany haddish. Got A lot that woman who does the like trump impersonations? What's her name? Sarah? Cooper. She got a lot of people tweeting about her I mean, I think it's just bomber just someone who someone who actually. Got Some tweets booing reply Oh doodoo be from drag race also got A. Drag. Race. Got I. saw that. Yeah. But I think he palmer when you when you want someone who has like the resume as well like. You of don't WANNA, pick someone random like Sarah Cooper. As funny as she is on twitter, because like her her her skills as a as an interviewer, not proven whereas Kiki, Palmer is a link interviewer host. Yeah I mean I would say like the Ellen slots, big slot made we just move up the ladder. We get Kelly Clarkson in that slot. We get Drew Barrymore Kelly was and we get key. Palmer. Work. Curse, lot I know these are all people on different network. So it makes literally no sense but you. Better like we. We cannot confuse the audience. We must replace the Ellen show with someone named. Ellen. Ellen Ellen. Page's like don't look at me like another gay. Just like I will not I will. Zone POMPEO, she wouldn't do it. I. Don't I don't need Elon Pale. Ellen Page Ellen Popular, and Never Would Ellen Pompeo every interview Ellen Pao's ever done. It's been like I. Love Grey's Anatomy I. have nothing but free time like. She will never do that. You know who would do it. Who Ellen Barkin? Embark and all Ellen Barkin wants is a soapbox like did someone say soapbox?

"Have three as sort of three three words that I always remind myself and truth courage and compassion and I think if we can support eight and to have those things in him to to tell the truth and demand the truth consistently to be courageous. And in thinking about courageous. The root of that word is really about the heart and to be compassionate and to to be compassionate. Os that would be. That would be really really good and we've been reminding ourselves lately over these last couple of months in particular has been facing these challenges that the whole world has been facing it compassion towards self compassion towards authors and compassion towards all living things. And that we have to be. We have to start by being compassionate towards ourselves otherwise we won't be successful in in being compassionate towards others so really starting with that. Extroverts and Introvert Survival Guide
"I'm sure you've been seeing all of the memes about how this is just the ideal time for introverts okay. I've collected a few of my favorites. Let me read these to you. Daniel Howell says social distancing. Please I've been training for this pandemic my entire life introverts rise up we are finally valid. Brit Burnett said the hardest. Invert thing right now is getting yourself off of a lengthy zoom when your friends. No you have nowhere else to go Randy Rainbow said with all the social distancing and take out food. My life is about to be dramatically. The Same Jen. Grandin said introverts colon flattening the curve since forever. Here's another one. Oh now everyone wants to know what introverts do for fun. Sarah Sarah Carp said I really need all of this time for social distancing to prepare myself for all the quote. Yeah we should get together once. This is all over plans that I have agreed to. That's hysterical here's another one. My favorite part of social isolation is that I no longer have to think of excuses. Why can't come to your party? Biggest wakeup call of the pandemic introverts realizing they've been in quarantine for fifteen years or more. Okay then I tried to find some funny memes for extroverts. But they're not funny. They're all just really sad. Like most of them are just pictures. Like a picture of a person sitting on a couch looking blankly off into the distance like they're about to cry and it just says extroverts during quarantine. I think it's really true. And you know there are a lot of memes about it. We've been joking around about it. And I know many of the introverts we assume all introverts are really happy about this but the truth is not necessarily so and it's not a joke for some people with certain psychological characteristics. I mean all of us have psychological characteristics that make us more vulnerable or more triggered or more uncomfortable in certain situations. And there's just no way around at the extroverts are probably the most uncomfortable and the most vulnerable right now during this whole lockdown how we adjust isolation to a life. That's been shrunk down to the confines of your home to uncertainty too dramatic change to the amount of people that were around is really important and frankly I think we've been doing a little too much generalizing. I think the assumption is that all introverts are thriving and that all extroverts are dying and that might be true for some but for most of us. It's more complicated than that. I should also mention that there is such thing as an ambivert right. Most of us are probably somewhere on the spectrum. You're not fully introverted or fully extroverted. Most of us are somewhere. In between in certain circumstances can make us feel more introverted or more extroverted. I have coined the term for myself outgoing introvert. That means I tend to get more energy. I need a lot of alone time. I need a lot of time to think and talk to myself and be alone. I need I need not just people not around me. I need silence however when I'm around people I really get into it and I'm outgoing and I like to be the person who's keeping people talking and asking the questions and I wanna get to know people and I'm not afraid of a big crowd. I like a party. I don't mind being the center of attention but those kinds of things I can only do in pretty small doses and there are certain groups are certain types of social settings that I cannot do. I literally feel like I'm dying. If I'm with a group of phony people you know the type y'all or like where it's maybe it's not phony people maybe just like a group of people no one is really like being real and everyone's like pretending or being pretentious or making everyone's making small talk or everyone's trying to impress each other. I would rather barf or where people are like fighting for attention. Like if you're in a group of a bunch of Alpha males or Alpha females and there's just like a group of them collected I can't like shoot me in the head. I cannot I just so but if you put me in a group of the right kind of people people who are authentic and real and are willing to go there or just don't need to impress you or prove themselves to you like that doesn't drain me so for many introverts you know we like to retreat to our home space. That's where we have control over our schedule. It's where we can have control over our routine. It's where we get to decide who we want to be with and how we want to be with them. We get to control the volume level in our homes and frankly introverts and extroverts have lost the ability to turn up or turn down whatever it is that they get energy from so for me in order for me to get energy after turned down my social interaction. But I don't have that choice right now as you you know. I've been talking about like what like home? Life is like here in the Johnson Home. And there's a lot of people even my own husband because I'm an introvert there every single day before the pandemic I could count on like three or four hours where I could do my interview thing. I could be quiet and I could think and I could process daydream and I could create. And I can't do that not only that I've had my daughter and my son and their significant others here too and I love them. Love them all but there's kind of always someone here so for me. I've really had to figure out how to find that time even when people are here and it's possible but I do think without question. This situation is probably much easier on introverts than it is extroverts. I have heard from so many of you who've said I I don't want this to end. I love it. I love it so much. I don't have to all the MEMES. I read in the beginning but true introverts are like this is kind of how my life always and so. I really am enjoying it and I don't have to make up all of the reasons why I don't have to go out and meet people Those who are often inviting me to go to coffee or to do social things like I don't have all that associated guilt that I normally do trying to figure out a reason why I like you. I like you a lot but I just. I don't want to get together really with anyone I mean. That's an extreme introvert but some of us are extreme introverts. I'm pretty far on that extreme side. I really am. I mean when I do get together with people. It's pretty rare. I'm a homebody so I wanted to talk about my extroverts because I do think y'all are struggling and that struggle is very real and it is really hard for you to you. Can't sneak away and socially I mean I guess you could but for an introvert you can. You can sneak away and find your alone time. You can go outside but for an extrovert. It's that social interaction. The physical touch that thing that you get that gives you energy unless you've got a lot of people in your home and I don't know even if that is the same for you because I think for most extroverts unique kind of new people around you a lot of the time to.
Aviation Q&A: Turbulence Apprehension, Test Question Bank, and More
"Tips for conquering apprehension of turbulence. Airplanes are made to handle pretty much. Anything in terms of turbulence. Unless you're in something a thunderstorm. There are some caveats to that. You know you might. You might have some other areas where people could argue. You could over stress the airplane. The basically you need to learn about maneuvering speed. Maneuvering speed is where you're basically not going to break the airplane during situations like this in. Airliners they call this rough air penetration speed so yeah look into that but in terms of how much you can handle. The airplane can handle a lot more. So don't be worried about that. Yeah the airplane can handle a ton even these even these these smaller planes that we fly the aren't narrow baddeck. They can still handle a lot. Where can I find a good test question? Bank Andrew Study Material for the private pilot knowledge. So of course you know you've got to go through ground school. I I think that's first and foremost I haven't online video ground school. You can enroll in this second and start your training. Sports has a really good free testing bank. That you can use there. I know there are some other sources. Asa Prep where they do one as well that you can download as an APP on your phone so bunch of sources where you can get it. There are quite a few of them thoughts on doing. Cfi double around the same time. I think it's good. You know if you're in the mindset of teaching and taking your test based on how good a quality you're teaching is meaning your your flight instructor check rides then. I think absolutely I would go. I go your CFI first and then your next. Some people go double next and see if I next but I don't know I don't know why I just think I just think the cf I'd done. I get the hard way and then do the AA. Add on right after that. So Yeah Bang. Bang get him done best resources or ways to learn systems if not mechanically inclined asked by one of my former students. Maybe she is forever student. Sarah Sarah just isn't mechanically inclined. You know that that's one of the areas. Where she she always needed some extra time some extra help and so I went through it quite a bit and I think I think the biggest thing for me about systems is yes. There are systems books. You can buy you. You get a lot about the systems in in the hack. There's plenty of of nerdy stuff out there. Okay stuff you can get really deepen but the thing for me is. I just want to know the common sense of what that system is actually doing. And so that I can know the ramifications if I see some sort of development some sort of you know out of place problem while I'm flying. I want to know how those things were so that I can start to troubleshoot so while some people really nerd out on getting into the super technical details of causes propeller and how it all works which is one of the most complex things That we have in an airplane also one of the most amazing simple things but so it causes feet propeller you can get really deep on that subject very very deep and eventually you might get there but you gotta just take it one step at a time. Understand more about the theory or the process the common sense on how it's working the layman how it's working and they're start to build the technical details from there. That's how my mind works. I think a lot of people's minds work that way. Of course you have the people that are just super smart and can can just take on a bunch of technical and engineering information. I was never really that way. I want to know the common sense of how the how the system works what it's actually doing. And then from there I can over time bill the technical knowledge on top of that because even though I know quite a bit about a constant speed propeller for example I know that if I die back into the books again and again and again I'll just learn more and more and stack on top of what I've already done. So that's my advice. There crossland aviation who happens to be a corporate pilot tips and tricks across landings. I heard recently as like a recipe. If you're in for crosswind landing first off into the wind so you're preventing the drift of the airplane but you don't want to just land like crowd into the wind rights. He might be turned into the wind and tracking down the runway. But what you need to do is you also need to align the nose with the runway. So that takes rudder so aileron into the wind and rudder to align with the runway. But it's GonNa Change. You're down throughout. There's going to be trees around hills Different Bits of wind gusts or whatever usually so buildings blocking the wind cetera. Right it's just going to be different as you're going down. So someone mentioned it recently like Jambalaya recipe or whatever your favorite dishes. That maybe has a variety of spices and things. But you're just GONNA do a little bit more or a little bit rudder or a little bit more this a little bit more that. It's like putting spices into a recipe. Okay or or whatever you're putting into just a little bit more a little bit here and there and that's going to get you on track And and it is. It is kind of that process right. Because as you're going through the crosswind landing you are constantly making little tiny adjustments that gets really critical and quick. When you get in the final phase where you do put deal into the wind. Align with the runway in sometimes even touch down into the windward will I as you touched down but that low energy state tends to weathervane. Some funny things can happen. And that's where you really gotta be on the ball to get her down just takes and UH works pretty well so I encourage you that if you haven't instructor to go out there and practice it in the real thing I know that crossland aviation doesn't need it. He's pretty amazing. So that's for your guys benefit
Minnesotans in the mix at UN climate summit in Madrid
"MINNESOTANS in the mix at the international climate summit in Madrid. I'm NPR chief meteorologist. Paul Kutner with climate cats. The world's latest COP twenty five climate summit wraps up in Madrid this week. What's the specific focus of this latest climate summit? Sarah Sarah Good. Speed is the youth and policy manager at Minnesota's climate generation. She attended the meetings and joins me via skype from Madrid this week. Hi Sarah how. Aw what are the key. Areas of focus and negotiations at this particular meeting. Well there are a lot of different working groups trying to work out. It's a rule book on the parents agreements so this includes how countries will be counting their emissions reductions. What kinds of projects counts? And what kind of regulations. Those projects need to fall under in order to safeguard communities and to effectively reduce emissions rather than just counting counting projects. That folks we already doing or double-counting those projects then negotiators are sent in to amplify their own countries perspectives. I want you to listen to this comment from Executive Secretary for UN Climate Change Patricia Espinosa. And get your reaction on the other side each year the call. We're told that the window of opportunity could close soon ministers. They window of opportunity. Is this closing now Sarah. We know that climate scientists are conveying. The sense of urgency is that getting through to policymakers in Madrid. I would agree with the sentiments of Patricia. The NOSSA WE are hearing that from all sides youth are calling for indigenous. People have been calling for it and that's really not translating into the action that we need you know we've for years been talking about the potential for things like sea level rise and forced I migration were actually seeing that already begin to happen in certain parts of the world and right here in the United States. What's the discussion about forced migration due to the already early impacts of climate change forest migration is actually one of the themes that climate generation is looking into this year ear? As we're here at COP I've been in a number of discussions both with frontline communities we're experiencing migration or who are facing displacement from their homelands homelands as well as with countries were trying to prepare to receive migrants and so there is a lot of discussion around looking for different ways that we can model solutions in. It's not necessarily translating again into formal commitments by countries to support those solutions yet. And what have you found most interesting cop twenty five so far I have been very powerfully struck by the representation of youth and indigenous voices. They've been incredibly powerful voices and I hope that our negotiators across different countries are really starting and to hear them and stand behind them as they create these new policies. Sir We talk on climate cast and we know people can all make personal changes to reduce our carbon urban footprints but how important are the bigger structural changes. There's no amount of personal action that can equal the systemic structural changes changes that we really need to achieve our goals. We are here in Madrid and advocating for those larger structural changes that make it possible for for individuals to make the right choices and for all of our infrastructure to reflect the green feature that we really need Syra goodspeed. Youth and policy manager here at climate generation. Thanks for joining me from Madrid on skype on climate casted. Thank you Paul. That's climate cast. NPR chief meteorologist call

When practice makes perfect is a bad thing
"Welcome welcome to to the the mice mice marked, marked, puppy puppy minutes. minutes. Where Where we we help help you you help help your your dog. dog. This This is is Sarah Sarah Wilson. Wilson. And And today, today, we're we're going going to to talk talk about about when when practice practice makes makes perfect perfect is is a a bad bad thing. thing. I I recently recently went went to to see see a a client client who's who's labrador labrador was was barking barking out out the the window window and and making making them them kind kind of of nuts nuts on on a a day-to-day day-to-day basis. basis. They They would would be be cooking cooking or or having having a a meal meal watching watching TV TV and and the the dog dog would would rush rush to to the the bay bay window window and and bay bay and and bark bark and and scratch, scratch, and and it it was was upsetting upsetting them them greatly greatly one one of of the the things things I I noticed noticed is is that that the the door door between between the the kitchen kitchen and and the the living living room room where where the the bay bay window window was was was was left left open. open. And And I I asked asked them them if if during during the the day day the the dog dog had the the run run of of the the living living room, room, and and that that would would give give the the dog dog access access to the the pay pay window. window. And And they they said, said, yes. yes. And And I I said said all all right. right. Here's Here's the the thing thing that, that, wow, wow, you you are are away away the the most most fun. fun. Your dog has is to stand at that window and wait for something to go by and then do bark bark, bark, bark, bark, bark bark. And then the thing goes away that for your dog is like playing a video game. They will play it over and over and over and over and over and over again. So the best way to start dealing with. This is to stop the practice because every time the dog does that the link in the dog's brain between that window Your dog has a behavior. You don't like trying to think of a way that you can stop the repetition of it when you're not home, or when you can't easily control it sometimes that will mean having your dog on leash when guests come to the door. So that you can stop the jumping sometimes that will mean having the dog unleash while you make the dog's dinner, so you can practice having them sit and reward them for that. But whatever it is don't allow your dog to do. Practice makes perfect with things you don't like stop. And then you will be well on your way to getting too good.

"Sarah sarah hi everyone alright so summer foods summertime is here or close to here and there are certain foods that will actually boost your mood guess one of them you'll never guess what these are sugar something sweet maybe well maybe iced green tea if you could imagine that i know you don't drink anything healthy i drink green tea every day do such a good mood all the time so that's one thing that boosts your mood and there's a bunch of research to say that you know that does a really good job job for that seafood's actually supposed to boost your mood too well that why you eat all the sushi exactly exactly like simon's really good and salmon by the way not only good for your mood but it's good for your skin as well because it has a lot of a mega three healthy fatty acids which are really good for your skin and the the last thing that boosts your summer mood is chris spinach salad it has had a lot of foliage in it which is b six and a lot of other different vitamins in there that make you feel better so they're actually foods out there sarah that not the chocolate chip cookies and the potato chips and stuff like that i think i need to go decent grocery shopping now exactly now when all else fails a lot of people put some weight on during the winter months and they worry about a little bit and it's really hard to get rid of we were talking a little bit earlier in the show about ways to kind of go on that diet drinking a lot of water as cutting the fat out of your food and things like that and decreasing carbohydrates but it's really difficult and especially this time of year when we're back everyone's in their bathing suits so we have kind of the solutions in order to do that which involves sometimes tummy tuck sometimes liposuction and sometimes what we call cool sculpting which is freezing that fat away yeah i i call this period the panic period because spring summer's coming you don't have that much time to lose all the weight that you wind that you may gain over the winter and people come in and they're like oh god and the i ne i need some changes i need to look good in a bathing suit soon and we have a spectrum of of technologies in ways to to get rid of the frat from not completely noninvasive not painless to a little more invasive surgical techniques such as life oh or tummy tucks or something like that yes so many ways to get your body and your face ready for the summer we're going to go to the phone lines to one two three one nine four nine nine that's two one two three one nine four nine nine nine it's nip tuck saturday and you're on with dr greenburg who do you who's on.
