"So it's time for the fun of this week. At least is cold. Emoluments are not eligible favorite word. Emoluments Salameh the lovely so Mike Pence has been in island this week and he his meetings are in Dublin which is on the east coast of violent and repeat staying in Dublin. Ah He is staying on the on the West case violent about one hundred fifty miles away from and commuting to Dublin. He because he is staying in trump's golf coast property at dum begging canty glad To knows why is trump would quite like some money please. So why are we didn't just go. I've got property in on this one and you stay there and then pent skying. Well frikkie three hours away at work. He did say of Gopro jeanine waiting waiting stay there. He wasn't offering it as has like a Freebie. Oh he was offering as A. Why don't you pay me to stay away? Prophecy kind of thing. Pence is chief of Staff Marshall. He he he suggested that he said you should is kind of like. You should stay at my place rather than saying you must go to bank but yeah he is the President Cy. Yeah And pence is taking a an hour flight by helicopter and to go to his meetings in Dublin's so that he can stay at trump's co-course prophecy with the president of art. Yeah I've been to Dublin. I don't want to Brag by stating really nice. I tell that because I was doing a job was working there and there are places in Dublin Dublin the surrounding area. You can stay even if you're the vice president secret service will be there and we'll look off to you and it's all fine. It is not the only place in Ireland the state that would be protected and safe and because they have their own government the towels each or however however you spell it which looks strange look strangely Melo's Chinese more Chinese than Gaelic and and they have a premier elite politicians in charge of the whole thing he lives in Dublin has in your guests in a presidential style building with lots of security surely will use this proverb overbill property map. Yeah just the original argument from Pence's team from short was was just that it's a convenient convenient place. It's you know it's an island in this country so it's fine but also because it's the president's property the secret service have kind of like scattered out Elton and make sure it's all safe in an okay so they already know it. A also pence's family like ancestrally comb from doing bake. They come from the area so he wanted to stay local to there and apparently he was planning on. Visiting restaurant is owned by a distant cousin of is obviously a reasons. Apparently yes oh is will idea as far as I can find out all three. Ah Not a reason not to stay three hours away from from where you are supposed to fly or bill aura. Yeah Trans- transient expenses. Taken his his wife who he calls mother and his mother dental when he calls his mother that must get commissioning missiles supposed to and and and and apparently he's paying for their accommodation. He's obviously average on the government. Government dime himself. He's paying phase his relatives Dacian because he's paying trump for the right essentially intially. It will find his way back into transport. So but he's so who's paying for pence himself. The will the government that the US government will we'll be paying for the for pences accommodation. They'll be paying trump for that. The tax man is praying. Yes shrum yet the pub- The the US public public basic. Yeah they are paying trump focuses. Yeah yes roses into stay somewhere. Local to where meetings are to trump is trousers. How's ring however mighty two hundred thousand dollars for except tens of thousands of dollars only strip poker but but since two thousand in seventeen pence's Group Pences Oganization has has spent more than two hundred thousand dollars trump properties. Obviously trump has spent huge amount of money at trump property staying at mar-a-lago because it's not just him saying he could probably get it free but he charges the secret service to stay there and he charges other members of his entourage to stay at when he's at Moraga or Bedminster will any of those places. The money that cost goes to trump through organizations volume. Ines is is the things stops. You're doing that. There is a role. There is a role against those. He's doing those kind of things. There to emoluments clauses in one is the domestic emoluments clause and one is for for emoluments clause rice and the domestic monuments emoluments clause is basically it authorizes a Fixed salary for the president and says that cannot be augmented by Congress. Oh Congress can't vote to give him more money stuff and he is not allowed amount to as as president or any high up federal officer basically to receive within that period. Any other me William from the United States say he is not get more money from the federal government so basically which is conch claim expenses beyond the salary that you'll be in paid because as you can claim expenses because that's no you're not getting extra money just claiming with this Zsa. You what you can't do is for example. Get it direct people who are visiting you in Washington to stay at your Washington Hotel Hotel owner Francisco. Yes yes suggest that the vice president stays in your hotel. Yeah Yeah or the next g seven summit these in well. Yeah his his attempt to get the next g seven at his Doral Golf Club that one is the foreign news close. Okay yeah because with the former skills you are prohibited from accepting any president emolument office or title of any kind whatsoever from any king prince or foreign state without Congress's consent. So Roy By doing that he is basically getting the six other countries in the g seven to send their people to stay at his hotel and then Chalayan pay him money fool that those those governments are paying him visually and he is making money off that also fast. That's against into totally different law. Okay right yeah never want to do. Things by halves. Might as well do Watson emolument among friends issues which are more of a gray area not quite so clearly illegal but definitely unethical Such as for example bill bar the Attorney General Joking a holiday party for for this Christmas and presumably Thanksgiving New Year periods for two hundred people basically an office Christmas party at Trump's hotel in Washington which is is gonNA cost him about thirty thousand dollars. which again will be going into? Trump's taxpayers shit alternative coming from Bilbo's pockets totally clear whether whether there is a budget within the AG's office to pay for a Christmas party essentially that that will be going from that to the DC hotel or whether bill baugh himself is paying thirty grand to have a party with his co workers. And he's it just coincidence choosing to pay that to his boss. Yeah instead of to another one of the things that all of the fact that AH legal it's very expensive staying trump prompting. Why would you want to boil it? Why would you volunteer our this this? You wouldn't voluntarily and choose to go of smear Kushner 'cause we kind of we saw interchange somewhere on twitter thing when you say the president isn't isn't drawing a salary dumb ass world. This is where he's getting. Ill is money from that. You know if it's costing him however many any billions of dollars that he claims is costing him for being. The president did not being completely unscrupulous businessman. Time he's doing that is best. I'm no longer thing his I mean for example with doing big. Not only is he getting the the value of that. Trenton pences entourage saying that he's also getting global publicity. Yeah so it said that the the the Gulf coast in the hotel which according to UK hey tax office records has been losing money over the last four years. Yeah Guess Guess Global Recognition and an advertising. Yeah Kasit yes. He's out of trump's trump's golf course others calling us. Yeah so every. Show of my pence into a helicopter strange. The has the property in the background. The hell and so anybody doing Anything about it. I don't need please. He's raking Oscar the constitution. Why would anyone read? But anyway I'm finally some things we really don't have time to talk about. Trump's longtime personal assistant and recent director of Oval Office operations. Madeleine Madeleine West. A hoot called a bit tipsy event recently and told reporters among other things that trump doesn't like having his photo taken with his daughter. Tiffany because he thinks she's fat apparently revealing something that ironic is a firing offense and Miss West. A hoot is now looking for another job trump then invented a new kind of tweet which. I'm calling forgiveness threat. tweeting meddling west. Who has a fully enforceable confidentiality agreement? She is a very good person and I don't think they would ever be a reason to use it. Chico Komi yesterday to apologize had a bad night I fully understood and forgave her enough. Tiffany doing great. Yeah it sounds like he's moved on already and since he's not able to write two hundred and eighty carriages without telling multiple lies of course is not fully enforceable getting federal employees sign confidentiality agreements is pretty much the definition of of prior restraint of speech which is prohibited by the very first amendment. The Federal Election Commission is a good thing right insures. The elections are conducted properly. That no oh. Malfeasance is committed during those elections and investigates interference in past elections and during preparations for upcoming elections Abbadi whose rule rule states is made up of no more than three Democrats and three Republicans. Pretty good way to ensure a shelty. Hey but of course if you want to prevent investigations investigations into say campaign financing. Then is it me or is a weird who is that. Since Touche turtles evil twin and Hater Array of Campaign Finance Laws Mitch. McConnell became Senate majority leader in two thousand fifteen. Not a single commissioner nominated the rate of to a two per year has been confirmed and now that Matthew never stepped inside a courtroom Spencer aborted trump federal judge nominee. Peterson has resigned from it. The F. E. C. is in court and cannot actually operate or enforce anything election year next steer coincidence perhaps touche turtle and Dum Dum dum evil definitely turtle even more niche INVICTA Cayenne. We need if we needed any further proof. That trump doesn't understand hurricanes nuclear bombs or anything else really. We need look no further than the multiple occasions on which is apparently suggested nuking hurricanes to stop them before they get America axios documented several briefings where the president presented this brilliant plan on one occasion according to a source in the room. You could hear in that fought in that meeting. People were astonished after the meeting ended. We saw what the fuck. What do we do with this chore? Trump can't be expected to know the hurricanes released more energy than attend Megaton bomb every twenty minutes but it doesn't take a very stable genius to understand that the radioactive fallout from bomb would then be carried onto land by the hurricane and liberally distributed throughout his path like it would be contained within like say like a whirlwind the fifty Mile Wide Tornado. Going very fast. If you're going to take things in it's going to get blown all over the place say like cows and a hold room. Bicycles houses torn up by the roots. Let's go bomb in there. Where does this stuff all end up just disappears? Yeah they used to be watching the time tunnel or something isn't it. That's the main mile down the wall. The Not my president has ordered officials shows to ignore environmental roles false track construction contracts valued billions of dollars and take the land needed by divine basically to do what he's stayed stayed ever since he started in real estate but instead of finding jailing bankrupting them he promises you pod them. Okay two things about that. That's not all good and would anyone believe any promise. Trump mates anyway also declares as to whether this was true. Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley Gidley told The Washington Post. Donald trump promised to secure our border with sane rational immigration policies to make American communities safer. And and that's happening everywhere. The Wall is being built which is rather carefully worded because whilst those policies are not saying over Rational or indeed making anything safer. That's okay because the wall is being built everywhere across four hundred fifty miles a border certainly. Not where those policies being enacted right trump tweeted classified military information last week. Now it's not the first time I'm no biological way. But this time he did it just to troll Iran we seems like a new milestone of sorts you see Iran tried to launch a satellite but the rocket exploded on little pet trump received a very detailed extremely high resolution spy satellite image of the launch pad complete with annotations by US intelligence in his highly classified intelligence briefing. Naturally he snapped a photo of the satellite imagery. This phone and tweeted about astronomy. Experts have used the image to identify which satellite came from a no doubt Oh enemies the US supporting over to see what they can tell about. The G that made it possible tweeting national security secrets to own the Muslims folk for me in the Presidential Limo various pensive made of seals space. The'll trump has one of those yellow plastic steering wheels with the squeaky Horn and the pink stick shift on the side relied affixed to the bulletproof glass by big sucker so he can feel like he's actually in control and could steer when things look bad similarly at the g seven summit they gave you Fisher price phone like the one in toy story to keep feel connected bad news though I had made in China on it so of course he got a Ryoko from China and told everybody he'd eight one the trade war and China. We're GONNA come to the table and they had a deal Q.. Stunned G Seven summit attendees but despite trump and Newt Chin tweeting that he was really real for sure double Pinky promise..

"Bloomberg the world is listening. Mexico's foreign relations secretary says his country won't react to President Trump's threats to close the US Mexico border writing on Twitter. Mexico doesn't act based on threats. Trump renewed is borders threat today, it's very easy for them to stop people from coming up, and they don't choose to do it. Well, we're not going to give them hundreds of billions of dollars and tell them that they're not going to use their strong immigration laws to help the United States. So there's a very good likelihood that I'll be closing the voter next week and that'll be just fine with me the third. Try did not bring the results desired by British Prime minister. Theresa May UK lawmakers once again rejected her divorce deal with the European Union. At least one million acres of US farmland were flooded after the bomb cyclone storm left wide areas of nine major grain producing states underwater this month. That's according to satellite data that was analyzed by grow intelligence for Reuters. I'm Barbara Kusak. From the Bloomberg interactive brokers studio, this is Bloomberg best. The feds pivot to patients and a slew of week data is starting to get people worried about a slowdown and markets in our pricing. A ninety percent chance of a rate cut in December. Bloomberg's Rishaad Salameh spoke with Chicago fed president Charles Evans to get his take on the inversion of the yield curve US growth, the shift in fed policy and the impact of the trade war. Well, I mean, certainly the case that the your curves flat right now. Long term interest rates have come down over very long period of time. And so it's not surprising that the yield curves tend to be flatter. But there's a bit more of that. Now, I tend to first thing I look at is the ten year when I looked on Friday, it was fourteen basis points. And so it's really quite flat yield curve is something that people are always asking about looking at is it a recession indicator. It's always difficult to find a nice leading indicator. Many are contemporaneous. It's difficult. Find leading if you put your curves west time. I look last week. Into a statistical model they were throwing off a slightly higher probability recession, but nothing really different than an unconditional forecast. They've often misfired in terms of forecasting recessions, but it's certainly something to be paying attention to. And we're looking at monitoring the data then after all their phones just announced that we're pausing, and we're going to look at the data. We're monitoring all of this and so- financial conditions. Are clearly something that we're looking at. Are you looking? Leaving data and use with contemporaneous. Contemporaneous. With the way to the ANC is thinking right now. That's the point the yield curve. Yes. You know, it's like, you know, at the moment we've seen slower data the consumer retail sales a little bit. The first quarter is looking like it's going to be weaker. But the current expectation is that it's going to be temporary that we should bounce back somewhat in the second quarter. And I'm looking for growth this year two thousand nineteen to be one of three quarters to two percent. That's lower than three point one percent. Like we got last year. But it's a little it's either at or a little bit above trend growth. So that's actually a good year. But it's decelerating from three point one percent. And one of the things that always gets everybody's attention is it's lower than three point one percent. So that that doesn't feel quite so good. But it is a pretty good number. I'm going to be one of those people. They don't see the question. Why is it? Well, if trend growth is one and three quarters percent. You don't get above trend all that often. Especially once you get to a mature expansion. We've just. This year. We're going to be coming to the end of the fiscal stimulus that took place after the corporate tax reform the tax cuts in government spending increase in so that's waning. They added perhaps half a point to two thousand seventeen in two thousand eighteen but that's going to be spent..
