"A great all around Friday night. Thank you so much for being here and man We had a lot of fun covering the WNBA draft and leading up to it. But not only us at her hoop stats. We think that the women's basketball media in total today a wonderful job covering the draft this year so much indepth coverage out there and so many people who really care about it. And that's the great thing about social media and the landscape these days the outlets for people to be able to cover their favorite sports they just continued to grow. And there's no limits for you say if you're a basketball supporter that wants to cover the WNBA. You can do that if that's something that interests you covering women's basketball. You know what you can find an outlet. You can find a way to do that and I think that's the reason that the women's game is seeing so much more coverage it's just truly organic. It's truly the fan getting involved here and it has meant a depth of coverage like women's basketball has never seen. It was a terrific week for that on the show this week. It is Rebecca Lobo Women's basketball announcer at ESPN analyst for games and she was also in studio with Ryan Ruko on Friday night analyzing all of the picks as they came in. There is no better person to go through the WNBA.

"Else SEC with. Something that is you know can be like grinning. And yes so. It's it's unnerving it's disconcerting. It's uncomfortable but you call everybody onto their incredible great credit. You know I Incredible colleagues every single one of them was really I could tell in their tax. Their primary concern was. Are you okay? Like that's the kind of people I work with? Are you okay are you okay? That was the refrain every single day. Every text even in the aftermath. And you know I know they had anxiety of it's normal. We're all feeling that anxiety of everything. That's implicit in what we're now experiencing doors. What are you learning now or what? What have you been trying to learn about? Having the fact that you've tested positive for the Kobe. Nineteen you have US maybe essentially cycled through the symptoms. And what that does for your body what that means for you. Moving forward what what do you. What have you learned about that? So far as you've studied this talked to doctors right either. I remember tweeting one day when I didn't see DR FAO G at the White House briefing and I I'm not a big social media person. Ask you usually usually. It's just a private in this fall on your twitter providence. Basketball Men's women's and so it created quite a stir doors when you when you tweeted that Go ahead I'm sorry any any providence college athletics that as my primary social media content but I just was. I just remember watching that thinking. I Want Anthony On my I want him speaking back to me. I want him telling me the truth and You know our colleague Ryan Ruko as I was trying to look on the bright side. I'm thinking well I've come through it you know. I now have the immunity. I heard Dr Couch. Say it was Bernard mcgurk Radio Program on. Abc Radio in New York. That Ryan Ruko had texted me the audio Where he said you know we believe and again. They are learning stuff every day. So we'll see what ultimately comes of this but one of the things out you said in one one other infectious disease doctor had said basically we believe you now have immunity and in fact one of the things I would like to do because I have read this. Adrian is that my body has now produced. Antibodies to what I would like to know is should I go to go donate blood or plasma? Show that in some way you know. This could help people. It could help find some sort of vaccine for that is on my docket to do is to is to research and discover. Should I go donate blood or plasma in the hopes that somehow help somebody down the line? Doors that's that's tremendous. I appreciate you taking the time to do this. I think it's GonNa be instructive for a lot of people and more importantly I think it's going to be you know for the people out. There are many many people especially in our audience. Who Care about you and our fans of you. Those of us who know you would love. You were thrilled. You're feeling better you've made it through. What was obviously a difficult stretch of time and obviously many others are in this country are facing is very difficult dark times doors. Thanks for taking the time and and I know we'll talk soon. "Jars you at this time because this time of year right after the final game of the season. The final outs is when everyone busts out their best off. This is your alternate nice guy mode here when everyone has to come out lay praise on the team who season just got in. And for the Yankees. It got ended prematurely got ended early relative to the hopes for the talent on this roster going into the start of the season. When you bust out the nice guy stuff Aaron Boone the Yankees manager talks about chasing greatness. We're chasing greatness here. And I mean, that's better in every aspect that area kitten on base better. It's lugging better. Putting the ball in play all those things. You work on as a hitter to be the best. She can be. And so in this situation almost never behooves you to be the guy that goes negatively, especially against officiating. Because that's just never win. It's never the good. Look for any player. You almost never come out of it feeling good after the fact, no matter how good it might feel in the moment. When you've got some time to digest. And that's what makes it all the more. Interesting cassisi Tabatha is a well respected member this Yankees locker room. Hell he's a guy who's media savvy. Does a podcast with our own. Ryan Ryan Ruko in New York who does great work for us and others out there involved with the New York area sports teams. I'm with Ryan all the time. He understands how the game goes in for him to still come out. And do this is interesting. It's even more interesting. The comments that we got from. On the back end continuing with our theme. Because man, there was some beef in the world to sports this week. I don't know what it is. But everyone is awfully agitated maybe mercury retrograde or something like that. I'm not really sure. But report Selo comes out after the game. Here's those comments and his only reply is throw the ball over the plate. CC? I thought angel Hernandez called a good game. You have to put the ball over the white part of the plate. And then you get strikes called. That's all I've got to say about that. Never any winning getting called out. And when you're the Red Sox, and you're the guy standing and going on to face the Houston Astros now in the American League championship series. Years zingers hit a little bit harder. And get to the place that everyone wanted and all this worth noting by the way that when it comes to the terrible game by angel Hernandez. Sees a bath. You had one pitch. Call. And this is courtesy ESPN, stats and info CC's about the at one pitch called the ball tonight. Had a better than fifty percent chance of being called the strike. The first pitch to Zander Bogart's with two outs in the top of the first that at bat ended in a walk that loaded the bases by the Sabbath jam on the other side, Rick Portillo also had exactly one pitch called the ball that had a better than fifty percent. Chance of being called to strike a one to pitch to air and hit it with two outs in the fifth inning. Both had about a seventy percent chance of being called the strike. So in that standpoint from the metrics that we've got books a little bit more even didn't feel that way to CC. I'm sure didn't feel that way to fans in the Bronx. And I'm Pires in the major leaguer an easier group to criticize I think the most officials, although the NFL officials that have the daunting task of handing out roughing the passer and helmet penalties might now right now may disagree a little bit. But a major league baseball. The empires are characters and angel. Hernandez is one of them that are more. Well known. And are seen more in this role than most. And so in this criticism comes I think you end up seeing more support for the player than usual. Because again, I come from world and football where it never benefits you to be the guy trying to come out and rip officiating after a game until now because all of us on the outside are so against what's going on in NFL officiating. But in most instances in a game where so many things happen. Rarely do you get out of it feeling good? When you go out rip officiating after a loss like that. So with that being said a big congratulations to the Boston Red Sox who advance to the AL CS. So much great going on in their John Farrell. Our major league baseball analyst lauding the job that Alex Cora data lauding all the right moves. It's the greatest stage that the game has to offer. And here you are in the ninth inning situation game on the line after you've used your elite starter and sale to get you kimbrel to the eighth. And I think that's where Alex cora's moves tonight. Probably as good as any that. He's made all season they seem to work perfectly Vasquez. The first time is cut south all year. He goes deep. The other way off a Britain goes to starter in sale to get them to kimbrel. But there's kimbrough on a man who has had his challenges in postseason play tonight was one of them. But still they're able to close it out. And we'll see now going into the American League championship series. If Craig kimbrel who might be the one achilles heel. And all the moves being made comes back to bite them what we can expect lots of runs and lucky for you Astros looking at the schedule early. Nice prime time slots..

"Go to the line but what are you what do you make of klay thompson shooting thirty eight percent from the field in these playoffs he you know we've seen a little bit of this in throughout the postseason over the last few years for eight where he would go into prolong lumps if you will and which is odd for a guy guild asiya than a guy who you accurately point out there's not need to rely only on his jump shot i mean he has more gop of game than that but i'm not surpri you that this point because we saw stretch like that in the final two years ago we saw it last year we will of course also seen the flipped when we saw the way you know he basically brought the warriors back from the dead in the western conference finals last year so we know we have that in him i don't think he's a guy who defected bypass eight need i just think he's more i mean i wanna use a more kind or version of a loose to describe him but he's just you know he doing it thing even his own so i don't think he's affected by the moment i think he has a wonderful state of mind i am not all that the pride because we have seen it at this time of year over the last couple of seasons now of course golden state can withstand it and i think clay is not terribly bothered by it because he understands his defensive contributions and what you mean could it came when it shot aren't going in still but i agree with you you know putting on a debt getting to the line a little bit more especially equipment gonna defend will lie like they did last night with their so obsessed with chasing threepoint shooters off the line that they're giving you lame especially in transition if i'm clay i definitely would look to take advantage of that or a couple more question for ryan ruko of espn did you cover any calve games this year yep quite a few but what if you are a good so what do you think they will do differently on sunday than you know the makeup of that team uh what do they have in their arsenal that they didn't have last night but one.
