"Spooktacular fun. Good luck. That's creepy, was very creative. All right. We're talking about the best event you ever saw in person 1 800 to 83101.5. We're doing this because I was just watching all the sporting events over the weekend with nobody in nobody in the stands. I don't know. Just I've seen it before in another weekend, but this weekend, it just seemed to bother me more. I wanted to hear the cheers. I wanted to hear the boos. Ah, well, you know what was kind of sad that this was the last we get for the regular baseball season, and it was Yankees versus Marlins. Which number one being the 03 World Series rematch. Right number two. The Marlins were fighting for a playoff spot. Right number three. You have the whole Derek Jeter back in the Bronx narrative, and there was no one in the stands, Tio soak it all in. Oh, you know, And this probably applies to other players as well. You know who Alex Gordon is? Yeah. All Star for the Kansas City Royals. Yes, Yesterday was his last game is a home game. And they took him out. You know, in the second inning or whatever. So the few people there could cheer like the employees or whatever, but that's a guy I really felt bad for. He had played his whole career with the same team. Yeah, he's retiring. He deserved a standing ovation as he walked off and he didn't get, you know, Maybe that's what that's what upset me is that I mean, I'm not a huge Alex Gordon fan or even a Royals fan. Just that you're a sports fan like those moments on and he seems like he kind of just kind of got cheated, you know? Bob and Cranberry. You're in New Jersey One of 1.5. Take afternoon, Gentlemen, Bob. 1998. They told him. We've got to see the Pepsi 400, which was postponed from July because if I if they were having down there, they made it not TOBA and we were going there and I told them we were able to get the tickets. And it was Orson was the first night rates they have had and how many. How many people does that place hold? Oh, my God. I'm going to say 80 90,000. At least that's not including the infield. Yeah, I was just gonna guess near near 66 figures, 100,000, but I don't know that for sure. But I know some of those Those are ovals packing a lot of people who on the race. Just going in number. 24 24. Yeah, I'm not. I'm not big racing fan, but he he was famous. All right. Hey, Bob. Thanks for calling New Jersey One on 1.5 and the traffic leaving a stadium that hold 100,000 must be fun, You know? Yeah. You imagine the older I get the more things like that matter to me, But I feel like something like a like a NASCAR race. You don't leave early for Cause you're there to see who the winner is going to be. Unless unless you're guy like Rex. I guess. Yeah, it's okay. I guess we'll just leave. Yeah, boy, everyone leaving at once 100,000 people that maybe a little bit aff US cars if you have some people coming together to tailgate or whatever, but still, that's a lot of traffic. One all I wonder how the cram those people and I went to a game at a football game at Michigan Stadium once when I first moved to Michigan. And then a placeholder over 100,000 people. You know how they do it. You're you get about six inches on bleachers. There's there aren't seats, the bleachers and this big guy sat next to me. I just walked around the rest of the game. Really? No. I had nowhere to sit. So what was the best event you ever want to live in person? Because you can't do it now, 100 to 831 on 1.5, David Woodbridge. You're in New Jersey One of 1.5. I don't get it. I went to the Ah, last giants Super Bowl. 2012. Nice. Where was it? It was in Indianapolis. How'd you get tickets? We both me and my buddy. We bought him on. I think StubHub or something like that, for like $2700 apiece. Was it worth it? Absolutely. It's gotta be on ly because my pain one of course I mean, it might. It might even win. I would have hated it. Yeah, but you could still say you went to the Super Bowl and they have all those NFL events around the stadium stuff, don't they? Oh, yeah. Yeah, way did the whole ESPN experience of everything We were there for, like, three or four days. See, that's worth it, even if they lost, But they didn't. They want no and anyone and it was a great thing about it is the whole stadium was like 80, Kristen Giants fans. And 20% Adrian, because Allie's brother grade for the Colts. That's right. Oh, wow, you wanted the Giants. You know, And when the when they finally ran down the field and they won the pages perfect season. It was like the whole field just interrupted. I have pictures on my phone and everything I'll never ever get rid of it. Those green, So that's what I love about sports, and it's well, that's why we're talking about this greatest events because you remember them because of where you were and how it how it ended Everything. Dave, Thanks for calling New Jersey want a 1.5? It doesn't have to be sports. I mean, we're including, you know, concerts any sort of large scale public event. Basically the kind of thing we can't have right now is 100 to 83101.5. And if they're all sports well, then they're all sports. Kathy and Browns.

Kansas City Royals outfielder Gordon to retire after 14 seasons

"A long time. Kansas City Royals star is hanging up the gloves. The Kansas City Royals Thursday announced that veteran outfielder Alex Gordon will retire at the end of this season. Gordon played his entire 14 season career in the majors for the Royals, helping lead the team to a World Series win back in 2015. His fellow Casey athlete can see Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes applauding Gordon for his career on Thursday, being able to hit just being a leader on and off the field. I mean, He's someone that set the example of howto be in the Kansas City community and a lead his team to championships and do it the right way on and off the field. After his final game on Sunday, Gordon will exit the major's a seven time Gold Glove winner and a three time American League All Star

RIP Business Suit?

"Tina Ob is a professor of management at Babson College and she says, a lot of students will come to her. You know before they're interviewed for the first internships or first jobs and they will ask like Bush should I wear this job. So she thinks about the question of like how professional and professional norms a lot when I asked most people what is the most big symbol of the business world and visit professionalism almost everyone says the business eventually and Tina started thinking about why in about where these norms come from also she herself had a special relationship with the business suit because before she was in academia Tina worked in banking and I absolutely were businesses because We think about the prototype of a banker is that you have a tailored suits white man play golf. I'm a black woman doesn't play golf. So I had to get the soup right and they was. I mean I had the best. They were beautiful suits and they were tailored. It was by putting on a crown almost I felt special I. Felt you don't have on my uniform. This is my beautifully tailored uniform and people perceive me differently. So now Tina works in academia and she loves researching things and so all of this got her thinking like wait why is the business suit? The thing that we all wear to work like what about kilts or row observe why not something else so she started tracing the business suit back through time all the way back to its origins in the sixteen hundreds it turns out we have Charles the second to thank for the suit he was the. King, of England four hundred years ago. Yes and at the time when he became king, the fashion in the royal courts was like very very over the top men were these huge poofy wigs and they had these big sleeves on their clothes and crazy colors because di was very expensive. So it was a sign you were wealthy men wore high heeled shoes but all of his over the top nece in the royal courts it was it was starting to cause some problems for Charles getting all this criticism from religious and economic leaders who were saying that the royal family there were morally Herat's overly decorated, and so he was looking for a way to try to. Present himself and As more restraints, the sewage back then were made from wool instead of silk, and even though the colors were still kind of like Easter and colors just all over the place. This was still super restrained at the time and it starts getting even more strain. So details on the codes when Charles the second I started wearing, them were quite long but they got shorter and shorter and shorter and eventually the. Colors that people in suits became more muted product. We see today or at least what we used to see I, mean I actually can't remember the last time I saw someone in a suit, and you know says, she can't remember the last time. She wore one I have on a workout Sir Yoga pants but you know what typically going to work I wouldn't have the song. Oh, it's the same for me talk. It's so nice, oh. Yeah. I can actually there's been a lot of talk on social media and in all of these articles think pieces about how much people have been loving dressing down Lali living that yoga pants life right and it's not like working from home is going away. I. Mean millions of offices are closed through the rest of the year and beyond and. Even for people who do go back to the office, the setups probably going to be pretty different probably fewer people some partitions, maybe less reason to suit up there. Also Tina says that now the people have tasted this yoga pants life going back is going to be hard. There's something to say about the sigh of relief the collective sigh of relief I think the world. That tells you that there was labor associated with getting dressed in a professional way. Tina says for now she is advising her students to still put in that Labor for job interviews in banking and consulting jobs, or at least take care of the top part that people are GonNa zoom suit jacket suit jacket. Exactly and you know the suit has survived four hundred years of change electricity, the combustion engine, the Internet two world wars the suit has survived. All of that is working from home really going to be the thing that takes it down death by Yoga. Pants, seriously towards yoga pants that killed the I'm on. I like the idea of the suit as King Kong. But you know I don't know Cardiff because the business has been around as you say for a very long time for four hundred years I mean. Things change and maybe this is the business suits swansong like maybe it's time for us to start wearing other kinds of close. WE'RE NOT GONNA be wearing suits forever right drew I put this all to Tina and she said, you know if you want to know the fate of the suit right now, you've got to talk to people who work in fashion right look at fashion person at twin watcher about what we're seeing from shoppers and what designers are

So they blew it and they were up five one or. Four one they were up, they were up for one. degrom left the game after the second inning. He got hurt. Wheeler. Pitching into the eighth. Couple batters too many for him. And the mets then win it with a run the top of the ninth and Diaz close it out in the bottom of the ninth. Right. So I both ends of the cardinals brewers hit the cardinals for doing game one brewers nothing in game two. The Orioles evidently beat. They be called hamels tonight. That's what happened. Chicago White Sox clinch winning season, plus current playoff field

"Turn your head because I certainly did over the past couple of days maybe I got washed up at a bit of college football, the NFL return and but I didn't realize the Chicago White Sox. We're now in first place in the American league central after going eight and two in their last ten games they are. Let's see a game up on the Minnesota twins who have figured things out and are now in second place in that. Leaves the Cleveland Indians losers of six straight all the way down to third place at twenty and twenty one and four and a half games out. So so the Indians have gone from first place in the division arguably the team to beat in the American League two. Now, a wildcard team outside of the top two in the division and four and a half games out just that quickly I mean, don't you know six in a row and when the white sox are winning four that's at least. Four Games in the last four days and with a deficit of four and a half, it's gone from a half a game to four and a half year. By the time Friday rolled around you have the Detroit Tigers at twenty and twenty six, and then the Kansas City royals at twenty and twenty eight. Neither of them are atrocious baseball teams, which honestly is a bit better than I had anticipated for both of them but neither of them are going to be infecting the playoff picture with their presence. Where do we go here? The Chicago White SOx thirty and sixteen winners of four, straight eight and two in their last ten they swept the Tigers this past weekend. Let's take a look at their scheduled down the stretch here. See who they have coming up. They have four with the Minnesota twins who I just spoke about being a game back. So this'll be a fantastic series between the white. SOX and the twins it'll be in Minnesota Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday some fantastic pitching matchups in those. Then they travel to Cincinnati to Cleveland and retell her for return home ver-. CHICAGO. So the white sox tough schedule down the stretch with clubs over five hundred and then the reds mixed in there. So we'll see if they can continue to play quality baseball they continue to be led by Jose Abreu. He's crushing the Baseball fifteen home runs. Forty eight RB is Tim Anderson is currently your Major League leader. In batting average, he'd be your batting champion at three, sixty two. If he qualifies in Thirty six games, one, hundred, fifty, two are bats I think he has just qualified fine when it comes to that statistic on the pitching side of things Lucas g Alito. Continues to pitch well, Dallas Kaikal not a lot of people talking about it but six in two two, one, nine era talk about a successful year Then you got mad foster coming out of the bullpen with a one three, one era so Chicago a well rounded team they were my surprise bic in the American league at least they got the memo because. My Cincinnati reds on the other side will get to them but they still haven't figured things out sell but hey, one or two in regards to surprise picks. So the summer I'll take that absolutely. Did I think they'd be a first place team I didn't think the white sox will be a first place team but I certainly thought they were good enough to. Make the wild card and make the playoffs. Now we're talking standard one, sixty, two, five teams but yeah, certainly a pleasant surprise on the south side of the windy city.

Mozart's Operas

"Welcome to classics for kids. I'm Naomi. Lewin. Both Con Amadeus Mozart wrote more beautiful music in his not quite thirty five year lifetime than a lot of composers who lived a lot longer one kind of music that fascinated Mozart from the time he was a kid was opera. Mozart I. said he wanted to write an opera when he was eight and when he was twelve, he did up through the very last year of his life. He continued composing operas. An opera is a stage work with costumes and sets that also includes music singing as an important part of the drama instead of speaking their lines, the characters sing them. Italy. Was the country where opera got its start. So Italian was the fashionable language for writing operas even in German speaking Austria where Mozart lived. But Go to kind of opera that's related to our Broadway musical. It's called the Zing Spiel a play with singing Austrians who didn't speak Italian could understand because it was in German just like in American musical theater, there are spoken lines that move the plot along but when the characters want to let you know what they're feeling, they sing about it or August. I have two favorite Mozart operas one in each language not city Figo Godot is Italian for the marriage of Figaro. This opera is based on a very famous, very revolutionary play about a servant Figaro who outsmarts his royal master. Since, there was still plenty of royalty around when the play was written. It was pretty daring. Some kings wouldn't allow it to be performed. At the beginning of the Opera Figaro is busy measuring his new bedroom, you can hear him counting five, ten, twenty in. Italian of course. Susannah the woman Figaro's going to marry tries to interrupt. She wants him to look at her bridal veil. You can hear in Mozart's music how hard it is forces Emma to get Figaro's attention. Figaro has some Great Arias or Solos in the opera when one of the characters is sent to the army and doesn't want to go figaro things about what it will be like ticked rate in his pants, he closed for a uniform and then marched to the mud. Nine. and. My other Mozart favorite is the magic flute heat Salva Fluid a Germans ing. SPIEL. In the magic flute, the Queen of the night represents evil dark forces and Rostro represents light and truth. It's brilliant how Mozart shows the contrast between them by having the Queen of the night fast loud and very high. While rostro music is slow deliberate and very. The. Most, fun character in the magic flute is Papa Gay No. The Bird Catcher I even named a cat after him. "That'll be an iconic line for the history books for years to come absolutely you mentioned earlier that of course that we may expect a televised address at some points and I actually was expecting that. Perhaps this time around do you think of course. Maybe I'm reading too much into. We certainly don't know the palaces offering guidance do you think is the reason. This didn't come as a televised address. At this point I think really amid we can only speculate as you said but I think there is a real sense that they need to keep the focus and the airwaves clear for the experts for the doctors for the prime minister so this was a way to get the message out there. It could be printed across social media. It could be an order of the newspapers it could reach A. He reached a huge number of people without taking away any time from the authorities. I think some stage. It's inevitable that she will address the nation. I hope it's not because things have got significantly worse. Hopefully it's because we're coming out the other side and she's encouraging us to step forward into this newly healed planet of ours but I think really that kind of decision will be made purely for practical reasons and just not wanting to overstretch resources perhaps wanting to limit the number of people around the Queen as well because of course we knew a media background. It's not just a camera setup on an iphone when the Queen gives an address Sarah Lighting and sound people in hair makeup people and producers and directors and all of those people that come with it and as we know to certain in the US Almost every major news organization is now reported someone having contracted Cova Nineteen so. I think that there's also an abundance of caution given the Queen's age and given the need to make sure that she and Prince Philip are protected so I expect. There was an element of that too when it came to the decision making and I think also as you say not wanting to overshadow the story itself of course the emergency workers very much the focus of this crisis at the moment and I think we've seen that across the board member of the Royal Family of Sussex says I think the first to address the situation through their social media but they themselves really didn't talk about themselves so that was really no mention of even their names it was very much a pounce turning platform or the eleven point three million followers that they have providing space to share uplifting stories and motivation and a place to share thoughts and feelings. And you know when we heard from Prince William. His message was very much focused on the emergency workers and work that a national emergency trust is doing of course. We had earlier this week on Thursday. William and Kate visited the London ambulance service. That control room in Croydon. So it's very much been about highlighting the work that's being done rather than the thoughts and opinions of members of the family. They're even doing. That's very much the royal way. Isn't it just give back to the community use that platforms for the greater good champion? The work of charities. I know earlier today. Piers Morgan is one to rip into any body but he had a go at several celebrities that are sitting in their multi. Gazillion dollar homes Complaining about isolation. It's I'm sorry. It's a little tough to feel sorry for you when that's how you all living and unfortunately it's all about the struggles they're experiencing. That's where there's a difference between celebrity and royalty and the royals really. They are there for us to look to for guidance. They're there to support the nation in times of trouble and my goodness. This is unprecedented. I mean many of saying that this will be this. Generation's warriors experience. Now we're not in the trenches. Were being asked to stay home on our surface. So in that regard With with quite fortunate but I think this is really going to be a defining moment. And how the royal family are conducting themselves have has been spot on. I think hit the perfect balance. The perfect note. They've each hit the different age groups that they particularly appeal to they've offered positive encouragement leading by example They're there for us and that's why we have a role that kind of epitomizing the the reason we have a British monarchy and the reason people turn to the monarchy in times of crisis. Now that's not going to work for everyone. Of course the monarchy's divisive to but personally I take comfort in it and I'm I'm glad to have heard from them. And now that the queen is a statement will probably hear from Prince Charles in the coming days. Well wait a monkey. Get hers out. I think they'll probably continue to do it. Each Sultan's said that we continue to feel their presence while not being able to see them. Absolutely yes CA. Feeling that presence. I think is very important at times like these Victoria. Thank you so much for joining me. I hope this worked from a technical perspective for certainly enjoyed hearing your perspective on this and I hope that we'll do it again soon because no doubt we're going to be in this situation for some time. Yes well thank you so much for having me omit. I too hope it's worked. I live in hope and will remain positive on that front. Two-bit thank you so much for having me. I think it's important that we try. And keep some sense of normality as well while the world feels like it's imploding. There's some comfort in that too absolutely and that just about wraps up for this week it has been really interesting to hear your comments after last week's episode. Of course we were just on that verge of figuring out wherever you rats on the landscape given the current circumstances that the world is currently in of course this week a lot of that was confirmed we heard from members of the Royal Family. We found out what was happening with a lot of engagement. Of course this impacts everyone including you and it has been really warming to see how as an online and sort of global digital community how supportive everyone has been I found twitter has been a place of uplifting stories and encouragement and information as well because this is the time when we really rely on that. I hope to ever really remembers where guessing information from because there is a lot of stuff floating around some true some false. Do verify when anything comes from. I think the Prince Philip earlier. This week really highlighted that I would love to hear more from you because of course over the weeks ahead will be somewhat fluid situation so if you have any suggestions for the show all comments about things that you would like to see. Just send them to myself at Scooby on twitter using the Hash. Tag The airport all right to any of the other friends of the show as well including Maggie who will be back next week. She can be found at Maggie. Rulli shooting amazing job on the front lines and Kovic. Nineteen story at the moment. Thank you once again to D- friends in New York who are of course working remotely latent Schneider Anthony Alley and Michael Dubrovsky for bringing this show together. I hope has works. I unfortunately have been manning loss of the equipment which is somewhat worrying but I think we should be okay everyone. I hope you looking after yourselves. Pugh are practicing safe social distancing and the following the advice of the Peiris government. See you live in. Look after each other and your cells and looks forward to talking to you next week..

"Want to know. Welcome back to the airport. I'm your host amid scurvy bringing you the latest goings on in the house of Windsor. And I'm not alone Maggie Rulli. Thanks for joining me again. Friend of the show part of the family at the end of a a Welwyn Harry Meghan officially back in Canada. And it went by fast. Can that happen? You will the bill. We had a really long build up from the start of the year up until now and then just assist whirlwind farewell for an boom the point. I think I I think. About how many live shots? I did talking about them coming. And the countdown and then finally they were here and I was like. We've been talking about this for months. The moment is here so definitely was. You're right a long build-up definitely a bittersweet end. But of course an exciting start for something new as well. We'll go right into that later into the show including my experience going to Duchess Megan's last engagement we neatly Buckingham Palace. It was an emotional morning before the Commonwealth ceremony We haven't even spoken about the Commonwealth. Sorry it feels like a lot is actually happens all side too much happier as a lot. But before that top headlines Corona virus has affected everyone and every sphere of the planet including the Royal Family who are famous. Keep calm and carry on approach to things but at the moment on now sort of stepping into a new gear we've got a slew of cancellations through all of the households. I'll be going through all of those later in the show but yeah it's been it's been the story that's dominated your week just rocked my world minding me that the Commonwealth Celebration was on Monday because that seems like a lifetime ago I think so much has changed in the past forty eight hours. I mean if you told me last week that we would be headlining this podcast talking about corona virus and the royals thought you were crazy and now it seems like we can't not mention it. It's it's everywhere. I think we've had this buildup we've watched it of course go from the. Far East through to the Middle East into Central Europe and now it's sort of entering the space and it happened very quickly. And of course I mean you've been at the forefront of the coverage over here. It's changed in last couple of days. I think even in the US as well people have gone from not really thinking. It's going to affect them to think shutting down almost overnight and I think what's been wild to see is that it's affecting not only just thousands of sort of nameless statistics that you see come out in the news but also high profile people we've seen so many world leaders. Now fall ill with the first lady in Canada many Brazilian leaders. Uk Health minister here And so all the sudden you realize you're like they're not people who are people celebrities a heads of state and they're not immune to this that can hit anyone and so I think all the side. And that's why you see these cancellations and The sort of Cautious fear that's been building. Well let's talk about that. Because on cheese day Prince Charles was due to fly over to Bosnia for the beginning of a tall and Camilla was going to join him off to its for Cyprus and Jordan and that was very much a big part of Calendar Day Sierran. Clarence House has just announced. Read the statement that says Owning to the unfolding situation with the corona virus pandemic the British government has asked that rule highnesses to postpone death spring toll. Now I've had a conversation with current says say that both of them are in good health of because we have to be aware of the age they do fall into a demographic that is slightly more at risk than perhaps the younger members of the Royal Family. But they're really doing this based on the advice of the British government and what they're going to do with the extra time they have called. It was a six-day tour. They're actually looking at some engagements to carry out in the UK. Not Of course large gatherings but something they can do to sort of fill the time because they of course still want to work but of course now. We had an announcement literally just before I got here. Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Queen is also rescheduled engagements in the UK. Says he was due in Camden in London in Russia which is a few hours from the city and they writes us a sensible precaution and for practical reasons and the current circumstances. Changes are being made to the Queen's Dari commitments in the coming weeks and writes in consultation with the medical household and Government Have Majesty's forthcoming visits. We will be rescheduled so the order and they stay. They continue to say that the audience is that she has continued behind the scenes. Of course we saw meet the High Commissioner of lanker earlier this week and there were photos of them not shaking hands. And that's kind of something that we've seen become the norm now for all members of the Royal Family. I'm obsessed with Prince Charles's NAMA stay any engagement in the past week. I'm I think I'm GonNa copy that. It's kind of like non offensive way of saying to someone like I don't WanNa touch you stay but I appreciate you correctly. It was kind of good vibes to. I'm all for that. But yeah this is you know this is affected the work of all members of the Royal Family and of course with big Events and large gatherings also being sort of locked down in the UK. We're also seeing Princess Anne. She sets out from her parents at the six nations rugby match. Because of course that's being cancelled and that you could Edinburgh's award is being canceled There was an award ceremony that was coming up for that that was to be attended by Prince. Edward that has been shut down to. So it's really kind of affecting their work massively and we can see very little of the royal family over the next coming weeks if this is how. It's going to be moving forward as seems like it's going to be like this again. It's so fascinating to watch how it's unfolding. Seems like in the last forty eight hours. Everyone's paying attention and then they give you big announcement from the royals. You realize how big of a deal this is going to be for the Royal Family for UK relief of the world. And I think it'll be a very also monumental sign when the royals backout it'll be sort of a very uplifting moment for the people here in the United Kingdom to see sort of this leadership again. It's kind of an example. Sometimes people ask. Should they ask us at the time? What's the point of the monarchy and I almost feel like? Oh this is sort of a time where they could be leaders country show this leadership and even just the way that they're showing a different ways to greet people and People can adopt that education and then when we finally see them again. I think it'll be a moment. Where on the other side of this and so it's a reminder that they still really do have this huge symbolic presence here absolutely and ninety three year olds you know. The Queen has carried this country through so much through wars through recessions through major deaths. She has really been someone that this country turns to in times of need and I think there was any last week. We saw the queen wearing gloves at an investiture and she hasn't worn clubs in her photos for decades at this particular event because of course there is that sort of personal intimacy in that moment. That is very special for the person on the receiving end and of course all the press picks up on that and I think the palace was really keen to not starts of sense of panic because of a queen. Is there to be calm and to lead? And you know the response on the palace was that she was simply following guidance that the government was giving everyone in the country which was just to be cautious and to be aware of hygiene and so on and so. I think as you say when the royals come back out when they are traveling again when they all shaking hands again I think that will be assigned to the country that it sort of It's time to breathe a sigh of relief that the worst is over and so people will be looking to lean on them for that support. I think I'm ready for that. I'm ready for them to be back. They haven't even left yet and I want it back. It'll be tough. I mean you know a Meghan left on Monday after the Commonwealth Service and I think we expected Harry to fly at the same time he actually stayed back for meetings and as the days went by I think people and I certainly received a lot of messages on social media. People worry that perhaps he may get stuck here. Because of course would flights from you. Casey Canada eventually be shut down at some point. He did actually fly back on Thursday to be reunited with family so panic over speaking of them on she. We'll expected archie to be here and I think there was. Some people questioned why he didn't come in the end and of course it was a business trip. We shouldn't expect to see him every time they come to this country but actually the main reason this was confirmed to me a source close to the couple. They just didn't want to travel with Archie in the middle of what was about to become a pandemic of course it did become one. It was sensible since we'll parenting at that level of stress to write that when you're caring about yourself it's a whole other ballgame when you're carrying about your young infant child and so it seems responsible to want him to be in the best best hands that he can be so. I mean at the moment the palace is really saying that it's a day by day thing really sort of monitoring the situation there are of course bigger events coming up you know. Prince Harry is coming back to the UK in April for the London. Marathon will the London marathon. Go ahead or I'll be too close to this. At the INVICTUS Games is in May in The Hague. That's of course a huge global gathering. Will that go ahead? Prince Charles's visiting Rwanda in June for the Commonwealth Heads of government. Meeting will take place so there's still a lot that we don't know I mean you're at the center of this story covering. Where are we now in terms of UK in Europe? That's the big question. I think it's the question everyone wants to now. I mean obviously right now. Italy has just become this epicenter for Europe and the numbers. That are coming out in. Honestly they're kind of terrifying spoke with some Italian doctors earlier this week and his biggest warning he just said you know. Italy is about two to three weeks ahead of the UK and other European countries. So what they're seeing their. He's sort of gave a very dire warning he was like you guys are. GonNa see this in the UK in the United States unless precautions are happening. Even if those precautions happened you're still going to get a huge influx and so it was sort of terrified to with them actually. He's one of the top infectious IZAAK doctors in Milan. But he did say prepare now. Hopefully hospitals get. Bed's ready get extra ventilators ready people can practice things like social distancing like you know not maybe shaking hands like. We saw the royals do so all those things he said really can't help but unfortunately you think about that. Two to three weeks behind Italy here in the UK Italy is still going into their peak of this virus outbreak So many experts are saying the U K could be living through this now for a couple of months Which when you think about that. You know that butts into the Marathon Harry supposed to be coming back for a puts the invictus games in payroll as well and we still don't know what's happening with the Tokyo Olympic..

Two to three weeks behind Italy here in the UK Italy is still going into their peak of this virus outbreak So many experts are saying the U K could be living through this now for a couple of months Which when you think about that. You know that butts into the Marathon Harry supposed to be coming back for a puts the invictus games in payroll as well and we still don't know what's happening with the Tokyo Olympics. Yeah exactly major events. That seem like they're far away. But when you're dealing with a crisis that might last for a couple months and totally disrupt life as we know you know. How long is it GonNa take to come back?.

"Of family of a victim and You you can't underestimate those stories you know. Since I wrote my book I have every day I hear from another survivor. Order a member of family of victim and they will once told me that's stories and every story is unique. An every story is extraordinary and every story is is very very tragic and the reason. They won't tell me is because they're scared that this situation is going to be forgotten that when they die because there will also now of course his fifth survive yeah. We're celebrating. Eighteen seventy fifth anniversary of the liberation vast ash fits but it's Yes this is the last generation and they think that when they die we will forget about it about the Holocaust deniers out there but a gaining ground that will scared about the growth in anti-semitism around the world's they see it happening again and they think that when they die they will not be. You know the stories will not be heard not very pleased with me for writing my book. I'm guessing that out there. And they want to know that when they go they stories will continue to be told in the writing on the wool obviously tells a very brave and emotional journey that you went on to discover has some of the secrets Within your family for so long. Was that a tough experience view because because even for me reading it I found myself quite tearful at chilly at times just at the way in which things unfolded and reveal to you. It's I think for one person and reading the book. It feels like your sort of on your own in this journey Eh. It felt like a lot for one person to go through. It was very emotional journey for me. I mean what happened was the tie I never knew that I had this huge huge family on both my grandmother's side and my grandfather's side who were then all killed in the Holocaust L. A.. Coast and I had no idea existed. My father managed to escape person. Eight year old from Prague. He went on a lift kindertransport. That was organized by Christian A Christian mission in the UK very little nine transport that safe sixty eight children seven and my father was one of those children but he had to leave. His parents need basically never saw his father again And he came to England and started a in you life and it was it was very difficult for him and he never spoke about this family but he had killed and I discovered them. Because I so the names written on the war memorial in Prague and Thad was my name written and I looked them up and these people were my my family. This was my great aunt. My great tongue calls that children on the wall and I had no clue and so I started on this long journey of discovery and found I was seventeen members of my family who emigrated in various camps the camps around Europe up by the Nazis all in different ways all in horrific ways. Some of them. You know shorts when they were naked in front of a pit In in parts of Eastern Europe it was it was very very emotional journey but what I found that the end was the you know the Hitler wanted to wipeout my family and he. He didn't manage that because here I am then my father was. I have the family out there saying no. You didn't manage it. We are here. We all the survivors. And we're doing well so it felt out very uplifting in the end it was a very tortuous journey. How important do you think it is for members of the Royal Family to be involved in remembering member events like this I think in some ways for me this is the this is what the Royal Family does best which is getting involved in important issues that aunts there are humanitarian related not political and doing what they can to amplify Fi? The stories of those that may not have been hurt before. I think it's very important that I think in some ways you're right. This is what the Royal Family is. Four cashews they are. They can be street very political especially in in the instance of antisemitism around the world and especially in the instance of what is happening in Israel at the moment so it is difficult sometimes for political figures to get involved because they feel they are making a political statement. That perhaps they don't want to make but the royal family can concern me get involved and have done so I think very poignantly. I'm very thoughtfully in the last couple of weeks. And you know you you and I both know that this we knew this was coming because we we were given the information mation and told that they were going to be involved. But when I saw that I'd still I don't really know what this is going to look like. I don't I don't really understand a meme when I saw you. You know it will kick off with Prince Charles's amazing speech. I realized that this was actually going to be very powerful and it was very important that the royal family of course not a not Jewish. were out there supporting plying stories Saying you you know. This isn't just about the Jews in the world. This is about us. This is about us as human beings. This is about humanity. This is about how we go from here and what we learned from this absolutely hideous genocide so Julia I feel like quite lucky to have you this week. Because we have really focused on the Sussex story you know the past month that has dominated the role headlines this week. It feels like we're able to to really see the variety of stories that usually we deal with when it comes to family accounts torty about world affairs says without going into the issues surrounding Prince Andrew. The moment who was thrust back into the headlines off the FBI agents claimed that he had avoided or ignored requests to cooperate with the ongoing inquiry and investigations in the US. Burkina Palace would not comment but sources close to the palace did brief some of the British papers to say that Prince Andrew. I wasn't aware of any requests to speak with authorities. How big plays the story getting over in Australia at the moment? Boris getting a big a big play in this. This is the story that went. Go Away for the Royal Family. This is the one that is very very damaging You know we we we over here cannot understand why Prince Andrew is not out there talking to the FBI clearing his name. If he thinks that you know he's he is a tightly innocence and the teeth got nothing to answer. He needs to get on the front foot. So you know obviously the optics suggests just that this this something there and You know we. We want my child to the Apron. Prince Andrew also having back from his royal rose. Now there are questions beyond severe. Why is he still living in royal property you know? What is he doing now? What is he still guessing away? You know all those issues that came up with the financing of the Sussex is are valid also with the financing of Print Sandri. It's interesting you mention that there was actually a tweet. The was going around this week. I not right it but it certainly gained a lot of traction goes far saying it was viral and described one prince who was is forced to give up his HR h titles and to no longer be a working member the Royal Family and repay the cost of his five bedroom home and be stripped of his military honors simply for wanting freedom and on the other side was prince who has denied night Any wrongdoings but certainly being friends with a convicted paedophile and Now is refusing not speak with authorities according to reports who is still living in his thirty bedroom property tax payer funded property here in the UK and still is an HR h still has his military titles and is not technically officially of his Vo. GIUSTI's he is certainly the. I think the way the pilots described it was he was off for the foreseeable future but there was a story in the sun this week. That said that the palace we're actually looking to bring bring him back into the fold or hoping to at some points but obviously recent events and are making that difficult. Why do you think there is this discrepancy discrepancy here? What is why is it sort of one set of rules for one and not the other? Well I mean that is the question that is being I do not know the answer You know I think this is. This is something that the Royal Family needs to look at very closely because this is the one we'll damage the Harry Meccan wanting to go off and do their own thing and live in a country that is narrow mechanism. is really not such a big deal as print sanjay still being a member of the royal family who is not for the foreseeable future going to work receiving funding. That is a very basic problem. I think it's it's interesting this week. I found the palace were a lot less forthcoming when it came to commenting guiding on this story I think in the past the hat. Being some trickle of information or updates that would come from his office at Buckingham Palace this week the guidance that any reporter correspondent was guessing was the it was a massive being dealt with by Prince Andrew's lawyers when questions were asked about who those lawyers awe. Aw The answer was no comments. It feels like the palace may finally be distancing themselves from Prince Andrew and this story because they were very much at the heart of it whether they liked it or not when we last left. This story When he had done the interviews with BBC's ABC's Panorama yes? I mean I suppose the thing from the palaces points about this story is that it's a ten year old story It just keeps on coming back and they and they thought that they had out with it and it was it was in the past and managed to keep Prince Andrew Walking and fronts incentive. But then of course it came back by their own by Prince Andrew's iron hand with that disastrous interview A now that's something that can't be raised and me here in Australia I think the we fail the Prince. Andrew Calm people back into the fold of Wacky member of the Royal Family. Absolutely it'll be interesting to see how this unfolds over the days ahead and I think the reason why it keeps coming back is because it is a story that never gets to end and and I think they really bring that to an end. Is Prince Andrew himself. Julius has been such a pleasure having you on the show this week do come back and Guys if you're listening at the writing on the wall Juliet's fantastic book is available to buy now all good book outlets And and I'm sure we can expect more from you in the future as well. "I'm only rent little Austrian them in our promise. That's talking to the team so successful you know and I look in your cost less Roy. That's the point in a club talking to those teams at this stage. You know. They all sang a different games. You know they are on a different level thinking about different things that they say they're not worrying about building a fan base in the name of from scratch. That's not what they do. Well they would have been better doing a speaking to the franchisees filed you the. I don't know if it's another legend. This thing about about the world war planes. They would come back and they didn't expect them to say okay. Where's the most damage? Let's reinforce that they do it. Because you're looking at the length of all unique. Look at the to go shop down to find out where they're critical points were. What were the things actually kill them? You know go to the fire. Franchises picked up and learn from those mistakes. Like I said I love to be an independent review emphysema lessons to be learned for this not to be repeated. Repeat again but I don't know how you know that much hope really What I WANNA say as well as obviously our hearts absolutely go out to the players the stock all the fans of London roles Whose lives have been impacted? You know things of people's living these are wages they have rent mortgage and families. And that's that's not acceptable you take on the burden of employing people you see them through on their contract you pay them what you want them. You know Tom and young monks rice. You know if you can't go that don't offer with regards to that and the players that are now available. The OC throws a nice little curve ball in as we into the last month of Free Agency for the B. B. O. Clubs Clubs Players Wise. who think would sue other teams in the baby? Oh would you think that certain teams gone for something close. I think this three key in Manchester Wasting clydes but they didn't have the budget but the three key teams go off to them. I think probably Plymouth Plymouth I there's a couple of ex fliers played in these things with will neighbor etc.. You can see you know the make moves. Oh and seven this season in the back of Plymouth. Yeah yeah so I can understand. You can understand that because they you know the first thing that they everybody wants to do is change so But new costs as well. Hello like we said at the beginning of the program needed. God there's cars hanging around there and you know if you look import changes and you've got the extra month for me. The Matt Scott is being fantastical season. So is that an import change that somebody some team Sheffield etc can actually deepen their roster with live. You know going forward so you can this very good talented. Let's say that's hanging around than that can actually fit in with a lot of these teams so it is easy pickings right now. You have absolutely obviously. We've seen one plan Mughal radio and Jackman assign more. The individual wants to double double only I game GOT INTO A win. You know. They're making the play now. Heralded lost to avoid relegation. Roy have any beal. He's become available now looking like that might work for them. Could be an absolutely great for them. thinks she do she on hearing rumors similar the potentially there's Division One Interesting in signing him and I could see that working definitely he could be more of an impact individual and then he was at the BB l. Yeah I think the eagles you know Ed Lucas could be a good shout. Full all the Whether they can get across it would be a really quick fix for that core problem that they have a moment. You mentioned mask. Oh I think it's tough I know he's he's GonNa throw probably renew import right now. An impulse in the league. I think a pretty much full so Matt Scott going some real has to take us. I think he could be going elsewhere. The ones that interest me Mazda probably will soon have the guts to play one Game Rosie Elsa dangerous for most of the season Lawrence Whether these guys had their bill you know they'd be a great addition twenty team in the high quick wikileaks crippled. It down when we were talking last conversation Andrew Laura Bristow flyers the only downside. I will have the money for him. I think you'd be a great it right. Yeah he will be very fair very fair for Teens Anti Lawrence my questions we've ambulances. He spent a lot of time injured as well so it. Is that another reason why he stayed back. Here is teams look into take. on't obviously when he plays a major impact and he's actually a you know a game changer. You for your team. He's definitely under. Lawrence would be a good shout down in Bristol but like you say it depends on whether they compare whatever whatever happens in liquidation accenture. The royals pay off his contract. Then they're able just the nine but that would be a you know that would actually help these guy signed for lower Cups to bring him in now in this. You know that money's coming back ax is just suppose it's way you WanNa play how you know what you WanNa do and if you WANNA finish off season it's going to get to a point now where it will be a a couple of weeks. Everybody's angry but then everybody's got to realize that life moves on them. We go to play somewhere. So you've got to make that decision for the rest of the season because sitting out with no stats. That's always been sitting out with no stats. Genius could rock up some serious stats and set themselves in place to make you. They want to go back and forth next year. You know some good faces some good numbers numbers to go off the WanNa raise you Coach Gardner did a phenomenal nominal. Jump I wanNA hear enough about did a great job in horrible circumstances that London cereals because by the sounds of it is falling apart. After months of the season the guy crumbling. I believe This year he's done a wonderful job in almost impossible circumstances and and to a certain degree. He's the one I feel for the most because there's a coach. There were only so many jobs as apply twelve votes in every team hopes at one to go off. How long did you say how difficult you know how this goes against the back to the PB L. Next season with the future? If Iraq is tough you could you could say you're going to credit him for the work he's done. He's resilient and doesn't matter he he would always put it out there. Go back out there and work so you know it is very this. This business is very very hard. And and the worst feeling is out and you feel like you can't get back in you know. Hopefully he's able to keep hold of some connection keep making connections during the season that you know the raw coaching jobs available. If if the teams I want to progress you know you have a look at maybe London lines if they win the progressives good with Vince moving back into the thing and bringing in the coach with these scars that would be a very good thing too. You know. There's other teams as well that he could could make themselves better with the qualities that Lloyd will actually bring in the resilience goings. Yeah for me you know. I can't see him finding A job within the BBDO leaving division one of the stage of the season. He's not going in the coach role. Samaha absolutely goes out is out sketch. Gov that said I think he has absolutely proved the point in the game to these coach coach and I will be amazed if we don't see him back in the BB l.. Probably next year. You know the thousand really Chan- through coaches that often cody eighteen to get away with an awful lot in the B.. And still owed onset jobs but I think we could see him Hopefully in charge of a more stable structure in the B.. Abo going forward because I think you could see him coaching in a final and stuff like that. I think he did Do a great job for number is in cubs in the BB. Elsa fingers crossed the him so that happens going forward. Some things are Kinda wanted to pick apart with you all the you know one of the questions I kind of have. What does this tell us about the baby? Oh do you know what I mean. Is it saying the you know off official clubs just spring out and try and stop from zero to hero not all going to work I forward or is it only organic clubs that we should be trying to move up into the what. What does it tell us about the structure of British possible? Ann How we should get to flourish in the BBC. I think one thing with is terrible with Roy has gone out halfway through the season but one thing now it does highlight that there is a problem because it's embarrassing. A team drops out halfway through the season is easy to find blaming everything else. When it goes into dropped often off season you know but now when teams drop in the middle of the season this obviously a problem so th this one out of every bad thing is silver lining because reflected that I mean always? The problem is that people want to be the first. They don't WanNa be right you know. That's that's the culture that we have especially if they want to be the first to do this or change the wheel or something like that. It doesn't change you. Look at the two teams over that Cup final. The probably the only reason that are a cup final is because they started from day one with consistency instances or they've been working on that program for ten years. You know that makes you successful at the end of the day. So you've gotta have white more structure coming into this go to have more vision. You have acceptance. Where yes you are a professional clubs so it is a business model too but it's also a business model of growth? And how do we grade the game because if we're just GONNA go yo-yoing clubs. Nobody's ever going to get better so that has to be some way that you look look at the cost. See what is going wrong like you. said Ships and everything like that to see the ones that have why they've crashed an actually be able to say to clubs. Okay what is this five year thing. Have you down on paper. What are you going to go all your facility structured? You look at Solar Day. You look solid food for one instance if they were gonNA come back really the one reason than you would say no to them is because they don't have to side it holes you know as a structure but they'll say it goes deeper than that how you gonNA play place to go in because obviously there are level that compete compete. So you can't just be the number one factor to the so many different factors but we must learn from these things was just never. We're GONNA go forward. Yeah absolutely and again the issue I have is yesterday. Organically grown comes a great and they saw him on. And it's wonderful. Oh to say you know clubs like Bristol have gone through the hierarchy worcester. Did as well go through the hierarchy. They must've done and now they're at the top of the game in the BB l.. stabling the competitive to franchise just about breaking even in his financially sustainable. However I don't WanNa see the people see the opportunity unity commercial tuna team British possible? But Sanctum of by the way you're going to have to start in division three north and it doesn't how they're going to go out spending voyage to get to the top of the game. I want it now. This is what I think you know. We Talk About Development League. Having the people can go directly into they have to spend maybe two seasons there once approved the they wanna pay players be able to find face all of the issues in London City. Royals have done in the spotlight. What light shots you know? John Lower level with less pressure unless they shoes. That can be fooled by what they've done. You know I and I think that's the case then. Eight to find a way for people to invest in the League but also provide a safety net security and again a lot of this situation and actually they just thanks to drop down to a pound developing league. REBUIL- United you invest. It's been come in and takes the pressure from. They don't have to spend crazy money on players. I'm I'm we rebuild. Go again and then you can come back up again And I think that's the case and this is why you take you about them absolutely very nice developmental. Hey this is where they can chunk. Yes we're at the level where our issues okay. Our issue is venue and it is an issue. Yes it's a lovely venue and it's a great visual and then you not appropriate for the L.. So how are we getting that Sarah wage get the the inflatable inflatable obey. Maybe that's what the League does. Maybe league invest in an inflatable dug in on loan to a COUPLA Solan. All I need is X...

"Part of the family. Have you ever seen like Harry's Real Dad. No I don't believe believe it looks like Prince Charles. I do. I think he looks like Camilla. I mean to me. I just think like there's parts aspects of the monarchy that I just really think are irrelevant now. I agree of course but the question here is and let's take Megan out of it. It does an outsider. Who Comes in knowing what the monarchy has just the monarchy is have? Is that right to then then break up that family. Well it's really Harry's choice. Because what if she just says. I'm sorry this is not for me. I have to leave. And then she she. Yeah she's making the choice to leave Solo and then her husband has to be the one to choose like an. Yeah but then they have a baby together so You know that's I mean. Yeah I actually really don't have a problem with it. I mean she's got to do what's right for her own mental health. I guess she's in this situation. That's it's all obviously toxic and it's not just toxic to her. It's like on involved. Stay in that. She's going to like be destroyed and then no no one wins on. Her marriage is unhappy. She's going to be a bad mom it's like she needs. She doesn't want her kids also probably growing up in that environment. These are what the Royal Chef said. This isn't a joke. He's like worked for them for forty years or something and he goes well. They asked him for a comment. He goes well Diana a Anna said it best. She said William got his dad's brain and Harry's an airhead like me and he just proved his mom right. True is that crazy because because Harry is more sort of impulsive right. Yeah Wow and he remembered that from Diana Sand and that to him in the kitchen or whatever. I'm also not someone who is like into the monarchy like I'm not really an anglophile in the away where I take a special interest in this other than I love the crown but but So for me I feel like I would enter into this thing if I chose to Mary. The prince and it was horrible. I think I'd feel like I had every right to kind of just do my own thing. I understand that. You're kind of taking a wrecking ball to an institution mile thing. My whole where. I'm so gray is you know. And I know you don't know the extent but in ensue there has been like time after time after time of people out liars basically coming into the royal family and then getting torn apart and so you know and then you've got someone like Kate Middleton who you see who just takes to it right and she's there and like if you know your personality personality and you go into a situation where it's like. WHOA I this like I would know myself that I couldn't be a royal right and so but someone like Kate? Middleton I think has that kind of stature and stuff to like. That's totally part of her life. It's like I don't know I feel like the choices that we make in life. Are you know. There's cause an effect to everything so I just wonder you know. Well I think more than Megan or the prince should have known this so the prince is the one with all this insider information. He saw it happen to everyone including his own mother and yet he's taking this woman get she is way more in the dark about it that he is especially she is an American so who knows how much she really even knew about so really to me. It's like on Prince Cherish shoulders that he should have known that this was not even ask her to marry him arch even get involved seriously with someone and less all along he wanted. We could get out about who knows that could have been maybe. They thought they'd try it and see how it goes. And if not this is always the backup plan and if you grow up in that circumstance you don't realize how messed up. It is not no oh wait. This isn't right. Yeah like people are like fighting at the dinner table like like like punching each other. And she's like that's that's really messed up and he's like Oh really. It's just thanksgiving. Whatever it's like this book I read Educated Memoir which I highly recommend? Well Anyway. It's about this woman who grew up in like a fundamentalist Mormon. Hell yeah on a ton of abuse and she didn't realize it was weird right. He's got the William and Harry have to know because they've been so like they haven't been shielded as I bet other royals have but it's always the women who get thrown around in a a pop rock. I mean I've never except maybe Prince Andrew Right now but it's always like Burgi Diana Camila Camila. Am you're in a year. Camilla apologised. Well I feel that. Once they had children things changed for them suddenly became like instead of being loyal to their family. They were loyal to their new family that they created together and they suddenly didn't care about the monarchy they just wanted to do. They could to protect their kids. Well I also doc to say I think we're GonNa do this on the alarmist. Are you think we're pushing it up so we're going to try and figure out WHO's to blame for Mexico I feel feel like you're Let's go around and say our final thoughts on this. I feel that you shouldn't get into something that you're not one one hundred percent comfortable with or at least like that. You should know yourself and so I don't think it's right to I don't know it's it's like Too Little too late sort of thing. I think it's perfectly good to leave. If you're like in a situation where all of a sudden it you can't bear it and you have nowhere Fi. I'm not saying she shouldn't leave but to like I don't know it's also like member in the Queen when the Michael Shannon or whatever is talking to his wife and because like everyone's going online minister and yeah and he's going like because everyone's going poor Diana Poor Diana. She's like well. What about this Queens? She's lived she's she's. She's dedicated her entire life to doing this thing that was thrust upon her and then someone comes in and they and they throw it all away the throat interface and make her out to be the bad guy and it's like you do look at that and you go. You Know God well the thing that Megan might not be prepared for. Or maybe she is is Diana started didn't fade. Once she left the royal family they still hounded her. That's right and I don't think that Megan and Harry are going to have a reduced presence in in the press. It gets going to be even more amped up province so it's not. I kind of feel like Shh. No matter what how even Burgis still gets in the Lord's and she hasn't been in the Royal Family in yours. I feel like like she's Kinda destined to be forever in the press so into marinas point. Like that's something. She could have foreseen before marrying Harry because because Diana made the choice to leave. I'm sure the family didn't want a divorce on their hands like Diana left in her life was worse. Probably I mean not not. I mean it was no better in the press but the other thing is it's like Diana left she divorced or what but it's like this is this is taking this is like completely uprooting a the prince in a like. I don't know it's such a big I get. It's like not a big thing but when you look at it from like a royals perspective someone who's given up their entire life to be a royal aerial. Yes Oh my God King Triton. Yeah Harry's fin for legs. Well you know Wendy Williams the talk show uh-huh so she said all right. I've never talked about this. But before Megan married Prince Harry. Megan used to call cold. Call the show and show up up and ask if she could be the they do like Model runway things for like spring fashion and Megan would try and submit herself and she would. She wants she wanted to be on. TV I mean as things other than an actress I mean. She wanted to be she wanted to. She would come to the studio audience and try and get on TV a lot. That's because well that's gumption. That's that's so maybe for someone like Megan. She thought she wanted this but now she's still. Maybe this is what she wanted. I mean this is really cynical and probably not true but maybe grand plan was to kind of get what she wanted to get in the public eye and then change it so it was more on her terms which is what they're doing now so I I mean that's what people are saying by a millennial way of thinking I'll tell you that Me Me Me me me millennial while they say that now if they moved to Canada the Canadian tax payers would have to pay for them. I believe is still the Queen and Canada because still so there is some crossover I don't they're not taking the tax payers money anymore for their salaries so they'll probably just do like clothing campaigns. And like she'll start a perfume line she'll it'll be over there on patriots. Doing voiceover Disney. She she is she in return for a charity for elephants. Sanctuary Like some kind of thing but all right. So you're you're saying follow your heart. I'm saying I just giving the benefit of the doubt. It's hard when you fall in love with some and I think their love is real and so I don't know what her options she would have had to be a really strong and sort of cynical cynical person to not go into this thinking maybe it would be different for her like to like preemptively. Shut something down like that not and not get married to the person you love. I mean that would be really hard to do. And maybe it's the best thing for Harry. I mean Harry is not going to ever be the king right But I mean he just wants to get out. Maybe but they're never going to escape the public I That's the thing that's true all right. Like you pay a service to do your passport. Your driver's license you send them like some information on like I and they have someone else. Take your photos and everything. Whoever you want you can choose Brunette Blonde? You can be a whole new person but that's a good gift a good gift. It's it really is also a good gift with be paying an online service to preserve your wedding dress so I think that would be a really good gift. "Hello and welcome back to another episode of the airport at before we get into the main show just as we finished recording here here in the studio at the ABC Bureau in London at we had breaking news from Buckingham Palace about that. You could make an announcement came saying that Prince. Philip traveled himself from Norfolk this morning to the King Edward the seventh hustle here in London for survey ship and treatment. In relation to a pre existing assisting condition the trip untold by palace sources. Wars planned long in advance. He's expected to stay in the hospital for Fatu three days under the observation of medical professionals. There I'm told that there is no cause for alarm. Of course the Queen has just herself arrived at Sandringham. At of Christmas. She'll actually stay there while Prince Philip's here in London receiving treatment and observation and I fully. He's expected to join the rest of the family for the Christmas break oversee. This story will continue over the days ahead. The palace aren't revealing anything more than that At but they are stressing that this has been sort of preplanned visits and that there is no cause for alarm at the moment. Hello it's the airport. Christmas special relying on with Maggie Rulli just felt like I felt like I need to get into the spirit. Today's actually the I cannot sort of in the mood and had I'd like brownies for breakfast. You're really embracing Santa Claus this time of year. It's my first Christmas in London and my first Christmas covering the royals and their Christmas Shenanigans and if it does make you jolly they do so much Christmas. Cheer here it's insane compared the states. You guys do Christmas on a whole other level. Who Yeah I mean I think for you guys? You have Halloween. Then you have Thanksgiving Christmas broken up. We pretty much from the day Halloween finishes finishes. That's when we start counting down to Christmas and as world correspondence. I feel like we're like children waiting for like. What are the rules doing on Christmas Day it constantly asking the palaces? What is going to happen on Christmas Day? Like yeah. What are they asking for Christmas? Well well we will be talking. About what the royal children will be up to on Christmas Day on around the festive season and when we look into how the roads are celebrating at Sandringham. This this Christmas everyone will be there. Harry and Meghan who is still on their own little break away from the UK. Trying to I'd say in in the the the the most secure way possible thought about giving because I think I've made some reference to a few weeks ago and the next day there was like seven headlines about where Harry and making them stay in it was like I didn't say between the lines so for everyone listening. He saying nothing. Don't don't read between these lines. We're just trying to have a jolly episode here exactly. I do think we'll hear from them. I've the festive season on. Social Media. Hasn't hasn't been a Christmas cut with recording this on Friday as same day we come out. There hasn't been a Christmas card released the ads. The Cambridge's had a Christmas. Kaku is planning to release it. The guard super cute so matt. PORTIA sues of course work with the couple before and worked with the success He took the phone number photos with a couple and the family became just throughout the year. And this particular image off off William and the kids with with one of William's bikes. We don't often talk about it. But it has his own collection you know he's a keen rider and so's So it's Harry to the Easter. Actually right around London together the old days. Yeah Oh sometimes it like three in the streets like completely clear fine photo it was very cute and I think the police are going to be releasing something over the days ahead. Similar kind of vibe. I actually had a peak of it. Already promised briefing. So we've kind of been given a little bit of a loss ahead over just as cute it is. We should expect it to be very okay. Good it's hard not to make Accu- Christmas card with those little kids absolutely. I mean. That's a clear winner. It's not like my Christmas cards. I tried to put out and like seventeen photos of me doing weird things from the ear. Put out your car. O of course every year. I'll I'm GONNA send send you want my husband and various photos of just ask if you don't have any kids just us throughout the year. This'll be a lot cuter. If there are kids involved was being a big. If you've moved to London your life into sort of royal bubble now justifying my Christmas. Okay whatever I can't compete with willing cates card. It's okay kids are really cute you win. Okay William and Catherine if you're listening you win but yes. I think there's always this kind of excitement about how the royal spend their time sounding in for Christmas. It'll be a little different this year because usually we focus very much on like Wilbur Fab. Four be working together in which children will be there. I think the big question that everyone has an amendment is will we see Prince Andrew on the talk about a turn of events events. Would you have ever guessed. Even last year that the big question at Christmas this year would be about Prince Andrew Four yeah of quote Unquote Unquote. Senior members of the Royal Family. has dominated the headlines for the past few months for a story that's actually long existed. This isn't isn't new. Information was given new life and of course we saw him a stripped of his duties Last month and that's will continue for the foreseeable future. I don't think it'll be any change there. But we will still see him alongside his family members at private. Ah Events and I've checked in with Buckingham Palace to see whether we will see Prince Andrew on the day off Christmas the moment that there is no official comment. However however the guidance is that's Andrew will be alongside all of his family members and sources say that he'll probably come rather than walk with everyone from the the Bake House to the Church Hill actually joined the queen in her car longer walks anymore? He's often age. It's a long walk doc. And the Queen has shown some level of support for her son. Despite the difficulties he's faced over the last few months there were those forces the pair writing together often. It was announced that he would no longer be a sort of working active member of the Royal Family. It's interesting I think but those photos a lot of people were saying that has to be planned the everything but the royal family as planned so having this outing horseback. You knew you're going to be photographed. It was very much a show of support from a mother to her son. So if Andrew Rides in the car with the Queen on Christmas morning is also something you think would be planned as this show show of support for her son. I think I had this conversation with someone the other day. Actually you know with the Queen. Everything she does. This I thought behind it. Whether it's the broach the color. She's wearing the hat the umbrella that everything. It's not just what she says is all in the mannerisms the via Mitri entry and the optics something that are constantly discussed behind the scenes at a in the in the household offices and for Andrew Andrew. If he is by her side on Christmas Day that will very much be purposeful pats a mother potentially saying despite everything he is still my son on on a not gonNA turn my back on him and we have to remember that these are allegations that he denies and he's not being found guilty of anything. We'll destroy. Go Away. Who knows I think this will follow us into twenty twenty? You make a good point. I think that it's definitely gonNA stay a story. There are too many any reports out there and but the point that the the queen everything. She does so deliberate and thought out is is so significant even with with her out for choices like you like you said. I mean. We're GONNA wear Christmas Day. This is kind of changing topics. Changing gears here but No her official wardrobe stylist. I I know came out Speaking about how they choose the Queen's out but and never gonNA wear color that she's worn even in the past few years so it's always interesting when you see these these big public displays of the Royal Family and you look at it from afar but to think about the details and the amount of months of planning that have gone into like you said the Roach. She's wearing Gordon. Walk in. I mean these are significant details that they deal with. It's funny you ask about close because the first warrior I think anyone one has attending Santa for Christmas is there are so many of that for me. It's like am I going to bring my cozy slippers and my cozy socks to my family. Christmas GonNa Pack. I mean listen. Let me run through it on around lunchtime on Christmas Eve. That's when members of the Royal Family starts arriving and there's a hierarchy so if you are lower in the rankings you will arrive. Before the more senior members members of the Royal Family and each family member is met by Butler's upon arrival that will take them to their rooms all their luggage is taken away. They don't unpack of course US those butlers and maids will help unpack everything. I remember. Actually someone who will remain nameless but visited the the queen about moral one summer and was so worried about what to pack his because they knew that it would be it it would be unpacked someone else. Of course. You're bringing brand new pajamas brand new everything. Booster's someone clean all. I'm saying not your time to make your dirty under guard so there are several dress changes every day. So let's think about you've got an outfit. You're arriving in and then we'll have an outfit for the evening. Of course there's a gift exchange that takes place which royal family of German descent. So so they do it. The German way which is to exchange gifts the night before Christmas nor on Christmas morning although I'd imagine that the rules bent slightly children. Because it's fun special. Yeah exactly so then. Of course you have then the following morning casual clothes breakfast and after three then you will wear your church coats. We're the dress or underneath and that outfit you'll also wear for your lunch after lunch. He'll change into walking clothes because everyone goes out commits intrigue Little Tweeden may be okay and then again fatih you may change again and and then there's another change for Sapa in the evening and then of course on boxing day. You're shooting close Chris. If you're feel man men and then it goes so slow double digits. Ten planets change. It's overwhelming. What the aside of luggage you must bring? Who can I still think an SUV? But then the question is listening. Might want options right. Yes yes what if do people. Do you know what the rules are around. Organizing yourself in terms of what the queen's wearing like what if you show up and you'd happened to wearing the same color as the queen do you have to change. No I think this is yes. That's what we're talking about. Public engagements often seen When we've seen cates and Touches touches upon woman the Queen on engagements together of course as compensations between COURTRAI officers. WHO WHO's wearing? What is as a family affair? So yes there's the formalities. As sort of dress code so to speak but everyone is probably quite laid back about it. I'd imagine when Kate was a newcomer when Megan was attending Christmas. That's a panic anxiety is it's words Laid Back Family Affair Casual. Those words are never applied to royal settings this whole event fascinates. It's me from a coverage standpoint because you think about it and you're like what goes on wouldn't you love to be a Flan. The Wall and I mean you never get to think of the royal family in these sort of just casual intimate family moments right where they're opening president and Sitting around at Christmas and having tea I mean I You say casual clothes casual events. I just it's so fascinating to me to think about these high profile royals sort of acting together nice to me. It's the first time one of the few times of the year that they're all together That there is no sort of duty volved with this private time. Time is the time of celebration. The Queen's head of the Church of England time of prayer in religion and..

"First year of parenting, and everything that kind of happens in between that I think something that we now feel really confident about in terms of loom is that we. We really believe that periods. Sex pregnancy parenting are all in a continuum, regardless of how you find your way there. And I think, you know, our culture, especially in the United States has really. The patriarchy anyway has really created this divorce where you know, you you can't be talking about, you know, periods and parenting in the same breath or sex in pregnancy. There's there's been this kind of 'isolation of all of those events when they when they really speak to each other. And it was interesting hearing, you kind of go over the moments that really stood out for you over the past year in terms of visible people talking about their experiences. You know, we we look at those examples, you might think, you know, are those all really related, and they are, and so that's really what we're focused on it loom is providing that whether it's an group setting in our classes or in a one on one setting in our coaching. Okay. And you also are a body literacy advocate, so advocate, or that's one of the things. That's in your titles. I wonder if you could kind of put into context what that means. Because it's the first I've heard that term. I kinda loved it set a lot to me for sure. So. Body literacy to me means having an understanding of how your body function, and or not trying to have the same amount of literacy that say a clinician, so a doctor or or another kind of medical professional might have. But it's your own inmate understanding of your functioning, and I think that women and female identifying people and all people to be honest deserve that literacy, and it's something that I think many of us have been deprived of over the years. Our school system doesn't really support body literacy unless it's through a contraceptive lend, so preventing a from, you know, getting pregnant or preventing us from, you know, transmitting diseases there, there's no people are not learning about their bodies from a pleasure lands or from a empowerment lens. And so, you know, body whether see really is about using those two. This to understand the body. So whether it's getting a better understanding of how your menstrual cycle or your period functions or how you understand or how you interpret pleasure in the body, or you know, as you move through and decide to conceive and get pregnant, what is actually happening during that process and on and on and on so it, you know, it can start with just understanding for Tilleke, but it can go on to be, you know, a larger conversation around how your body works. So Eric to that end. It's really interesting. I think you told me that loom was just a little bit over your old which actually completely coincides with all of this stuff. That's happened in culture in the pasture. It was that a coincidence. Or did you open the space in response to that? And what has the past year been like of Aleutian wise for you in terms of the business because cultures going through all this stuff at warp speed. You must be seeing it and the people that show up there. Yet. I think it's I think this is a two part answer in the one sense I've been working in the birth and post-partum world for a long time. And so, you know, if you are birth worker or just, you know, adjacent to that reproductive health space, the things that are currently being championed in discussed more publicly have been commonplace for us for a long time. So when we were co creating loom my found, my co-founder Quinton, I we really wanted to bring a lot of those those longstanding conversations and longstanding needs that were not being met to the table. So in a sense, I think there definitely was a not a surprising coincidence for us, but coincidentally there is this kind of the surge of interest in what we were trying to create in the more popular sense. But I think we had we knew. Do that. There was this. There was this meet in this design. I was already shifting in our micro environment..

"In 2018 i think for the royals and mrs i guess it's sort of a realistic to where they are the franchises that they have him under contract for three more seasons at a reasonable rate yin on the other hand they are going into this kind of period where they are not probably expected to contend over those three seasons so it's weird to be thinking like this as an organization i guess it's where to maybe is for royals fans to be thinking this way but you know the best case scenario is probably for him to go out and have a great 2018 rebuild value and then they could maybe take him to the market in next winner is a guy with two years of control left in maybe some value in but they certainly need to kind of rebuild him as an asset whether they want to keep him or shop him moving forward because he certainly whatever he showed as a a young player in chicago with his ability to get on basin had for some power and seemed to have a good approach you really didn't show any of it last season in the few times he was up with the royals with the royals entering into a sort of rebuild of course even a longterm signed starting pitcher is more of a shortterm acid than a longterm as it this is the danny dovey question who had the beckoned 2012 danny duffy signed a one year contract to stay with the royals just a standard contract and he tweeted out very me a royal and i think it was about two months ago i think it was in response to trade rumors trade jeter duffy repeated the expression on twitter berry me royal of course he's been very involved you've seen mv very present certainly in i don't know what to refer to the mass but in celebrations of the you're donovan tara's life we've seen danny duffy have very intimate interactions with fans he has been very present beloved around the communities seems to also share love for the community same time danny duffy is clearly one of the.
