Coming of Age During the AIDS Crisis
"On our second afternoon. Just back from a swim in the marine water. Santeuil bay berry yells for me from the bathroom. He turns from the mirror and says look he sticks out his tongue. We always joked. About what a big tongue had. But that's not what he was asking me to look at. Berries tongue is coated with a whitish film. Especially in the back. Maybe it's nothing i say. But my attempted reassurance evaporates. When i burst into tears we knew that thrush a kind of mouth. Fungus was an early symptom of as. It was just really really really a popular topic in the true crime community because of how heinous it was more or less. It's your typical story of men cheating on wife except she was pregnant. So man cheating on wife having affairs didn't want the family anymore so he murdered all of them incredibly saad. Complaints pour in over UK presenter's comments on Meghan Markle
"To go down. Let's talk about Piers Morgan. This is another interesting one. I love it. He is interestingly standing firm in his controversial remarks about Meghan Markle following his departure from Good Morning Britain, and this is another such an interesting Element of the story, which is the royal family's relationship with the press, which, of course, Harry and Meghan talked about that It's a mutually beneficial relationship, and that it was to the families benefit to sort of have Meghan be the sacrificial lamb taking all the heat, and then everybody else was good in the good press, so for them At the time. It felt like kind of a good deal. Piers Morgan has long hated Meghan Markle Ass got all kinds of access to growing kinds of weird issues with her. He made a lot of disparaging comments about her following the interview with Oprah got quite the reaction 41,000 complaints made to his network about his comments in particular. That questioned Megan's authenticity when it came to her mental health struggles. Um and so megastar, bro. Oh, he's so gross also made a formal complaint to ITV following his comments. That's what people magazine is reporting and other people are reporting. So I don't have that for sure from Meghan Markle, but that's what's being reported. Page six reported that Yeah, Here's what Piers Morgan tweeted On Monday. I said I didn't believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I've had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don't if you did. Okay. Freedom of speech is a hill. I'm happy to die on. Thanks for all the love and hate. I'm off to spend more time with my opinions. And then he posted a photo of sir Winston Churchill in a quote from him. That said some people's idea of free speech is that they're free to say what they like. If anyone says anything back, that is an outrage to which I say Piers Morgan. That's what you did. You said your piece and then your colleague. The weather man called you out and said that he disagreed. And then you stomped off like a baby toddler. My three year old Han handle emotions better than that. And honestly and this is Oh, I can't this like fries me to the core. He's so gross. And, uh, there is. No you are not a hero. Piers Morgan, don't And don't do that thing where you find a quote. That sounds really good and be like this is what I'm doing. It doesn't apply to this situation because you were the one that when someone talked back to you,

"All right, let's check up on the entertainment scene and the media scene with our pal Larry Hackett, the ABC entertainment contributor. Former Editor in chief of People magazine. The morning, Larry. How you Doing? Come Very well. How are you? I'm fine, so I'm endlessly fascinated by Anna Wintour. She was, you know, controversial there for a while because of the way she treated her employees, And there was some thought that maybe she would be pushed out of her big perch. There is the editor in chief of vote while the latest controversy Is she put Kamila Harris on the cover of Vogue. But I guess she she lightened. Kamila Harris is skin color. Now, Larry, I got to be totally honest with you. I have talked to people in the Fashion magazine business, and they have told me that over the years when they put people of color on Front of magazines that those magazines don't tend to sell all that well. That is generally correct, but we live in a different world now, and I think they're different imperatives going on. The fact of the matter is no magazine so well right now, So it was certain degree people let vogue like they are People magazine. Rise to work are a bit freed up from the idea of having to put to put so much power and so much Pressure on the cover to sell copies. I have not heard what you just mentioned regarding the lightning of Kamala Harris of skin. I know things like that have gone on in the past. I would be shocked, quite frankly, if Conde Nast after what they underwent back with the Bone appetit scandal last year would do something like that. On the other hand, there is controversy, though, about this cover because a lot of people felt that the one that they chose On the print edition, where Kamila Harris is wearing a pair of converse and looking more casual than your average ordinary won't cover was somewhat disrespectful. I've seen the comments, Man of Winter, who basically said she thought it was charming and relaxed. And that it showed a woman in control and somewhat representative of the kind of times we live in. I get wet, and I was thinking at the end of the day. When you pick a magazine cover. It's up to the editor to pick the one but they like now they're gonna factor in all kinds of political ramifications and things like that, but what they're really doing. Trying to a cell. The magazine and B get buzz. I don't know if they did think number one, but they certainly did say, number two. Let me assure you, nobody. A Conde Nast is worrying about the backlash to discover they are thrilled. People are talking about vote. That's the most important thing here. Hey, Larry. When you were running People magazine, did you hesitate to put people of color on the on the cover for fear of not selling enough magazines? Frankly, and to some degree of shame? The answer is yes, I do think, though, that it was not like I didn't want to put someone of color on the cover. I think it becomes a kind of vicious cycle or certain people don't sell. So if you put let's say you could put somebody of color on the cover. And that doesn't sell instead of saying to yourself. Well, maybe the person that particular person didn't sell or that person with brown eyes and yourself or that person in that bed TV show didn't sell. You ascribe it to their race, and that was a mistake. I think that I and other magazine editors made and it does become a vicious cycle on bits one that I think people are now finally breaking out of Take an individual who you think is popular. Look there for that. Into that end, you know, we put people like Denzel Washington in the cover or or Holly Berry, and they sold great. Other individuals who happen to be people of color didn't sell great. It's about to get individual and people need to break out of the notion of the fact that it's someone of color as opposed to somebody who other people may just don't want to read about because I don't find it interesting. Hey, Larry. Jeopardy has announced a sort of a rotating guest host schedule here. I mean, I'm kind of partial to Katie Couric myself. But some of the other guests that were gonna happen that Michael, that's never gonna happen. You know, why not? Why not? Because if you think about the history of the show, you want some what people are trained over the 30 odd years rallies with the host that you want someone in the driver's seat literally, like a limousine driver knows where they're going. There's a few things but just get the show moving along Katie by nature of being tickety or anybody else. Frenchy, who's that famous is going to get in the way of the pacing of the show. I think I just don't think I think the practical matter. I don't know. If Katie it's time to do it. Number one number two. I don't think that's the role of someone like that. You want someone who's more like an emcee who's kind of in the background. And a lot of the individuals they're talking about. I just don't think of the kind of people you're gonna walk. Very mean. Look, the stars of the show are the contestants and the questions right? So I'm not sure if something like that's gonna be really where you want to go. I think they're getting a lot of attention, and that's good. But I think they need to be careful of going on too far on this, and finally they need to land on somebody sooner rather than later. Hey, Larry. I'm intrigued by your comment that they're streaming wars going on. What you mean by that one of these wars. Well, A couple of things to think about. Netflix announced this week that they're gonna be announcing a new movie every week. I think the number of that more than that. I think it's something like 71 movies, Some original productions, some things that they bought, Um, you know, on the movie circuit that's out there. Meanwhile, over at HBO, Max, which we've heard a lot about recently, they announced this week that there's there's gonna be a sex in the city reboot. These two things are all connected, which is that these streaming services are all in the absolute death match to get pre eminence for the public and for people who were staying at home. They all look to the man DeLorean, which is the Disney serious that came out spun off from Star Wars. That's been hugely successful. So all these companies, particularly places like Disney and HBO, are going to go into the vault. Take out things that made them famous in the first place. Whether it's sex, this city who knows without there's something on the Sopranos coming out, we know there's a reboot..
Lori Loughlin unlikely to remain quiet after release from prison

Now. Her husband, Masamune generally remains behind bars. And according to sources at people that come Lori Laughlin had a tearful reunion with her daughter's Livia Jadon. Sordid details of Johnny Depp's private life made public
"I'm fascinated by this because I do think at one point. He was a very, very good actor Johnny Depp. And now his entire life has just fallen apart. What has happened to this man? Is it Is it booze and drugs? Well, it's losing throat. It's also though, in the view of Hollywood, and this time the Hollywood reporter, which is kind of the you know, the newspaper that covers the doings out there has a devastating story in this week, which basically says that he has become radioactive. You might recall it. Obviously back in the summer time. There was this lawsuit where he was suing a newspaper in the UK for saying that he was a wife beater. And in this trial, it was revealed just dozens of emails and horrible behavior that frankly backed up, but the you know what his ex wife and with the newspaper said, and the judge agreed not only to the judge agree that the newspaper that could script called him a wife beater. But they essentially prohibited to him from appealing this case. Meanwhile, he assuming his ex wife, Amber, heard in a court in Virginia that suits about to begin in January. A lot of the same stuff. That was found to be un supportable in the UK trial, so he's seen in Hollywood is just being insanely vengeful. Not to mention a drunk, a drug use or incredibly profligate spending millions upon millions of dollars and in this world now With me to, um, the idea of any Hollywood studio hiring a man who's been labeled a wife beater seems completely implausible. He had a small movie that was supposed to come out last month. At a film festival in Poland. He didn't turn up. The movie was withdrawn. He has a project that he was gonna be doing. Jerry Bruckheimer, huge Hollywood producer on the life of Harry Houdini. He apparently has been dropped from that. And this is a guy who you know has a lot of things and needs a lot of money. As you know his spending his ethics so without these kinds of did paydays God knows what's going to happen to stand still love him, probably. But the fact of the matter is Hollywood will not hire him. So their love is going to have to go back into the catalog and look at old movies. But I don't think anybody's gonna hire him for anything. New. So literally, Larry, Let me ask you when you were the editor of People magazine Back in the day when Johnny Depp was riding high, Did you Did your reporters pick up stuff about bad behavior? Craziness? Did you have any concerns about where that career was headed back when you have good things about him? Let me split that question into Yes. To the first part of the question. No to the second. Yes, we heard about the bad behavior. Look, he didn't make a secret of it right? He was in a rock band. He dressed like Keith Richards. He kind of he played Hunter Thompson. You know, he epically did a lot of drug this was all known about it. It was part of his charm in some degree crazy enough as it may seem, like all things in moderation that makes him charming. And look, we made him the sexy man. I think twice While I was the editor of the magazine, he was someone who then and arguably still might have a lot of appeal. But at a certain point, you know, when you're pushing 60 and you start and you continue to act like this, it's not charming and again when you look at what was accounted in that trial in the UK not only just the text messages using filthy text messages about his wife, written tip Hollywood agents and other colleagues. But the kind of litany of behavior throwing glasses, the bleeding the fights the cutting the screaming, You know, I counted to buy a lot of people, including people who worked for him. Quite frankly, it's impossible to deny. That this guy's personal life is a mess. Now. We don't watch him in movies, you know, thinking about his personal life, but in this world that we live in now it's increasingly difficult to separate that behavior from what appears on strings. Turning our

"Gosh. All right. So this week's people magazine cover is. Meghan Markle on the cover ready to be a Royal. Yes. Nothing. You know, they got they got they got khloe up in the corner. The real story. Yeah. Bradley and guy heat up the huskers in. There's not really anything new in this people magazine right story. But there are a few different things that are coming out about duchess Megan, and I was very excited and GM. A I've wondered who this woman is Michelle. No, no. No new. Okay. So new because remember when Harry and Meghan when it first came out that they were dating, and I it was like, oh, Serena Williams somehow was involved in. And then there was somebody else. And then I remember Julia did do some digging, and it was this media. No new and she was on GMA this morning. And we had heard that her stylist is Jessica Maroney was going to be appearing on GMA doing style things. But for whatever reason, no Jennifer today and inner place, Michelle, oh is rumored to have introduced, Harry and Meghan. So let's savannah gets the good question. How the way right away. How many people have become familiar with you because you are friendly with Meghan Markle? Of course. Now, the duchess of Sussex, and some people think that you're the one who brought Harry and Meghan together to introduce them. Well, I discussed relationships at all, but very happy for them. Yeah. I don't discuss personnel for we would've never heard a lady. He would not be GMA. If she wasn't the person that he's the most likely because she is British. She's like from whatever circle. And now he's going to be a wardrobe styling guru for g may maybe switch off with Jennifer. I do appreciate the way that she is able to extend her celebrity by not ask answering because she came out and she said, yes, or no one way or the other dot. No, you can't discuss. Right. She say, can let's let's see here. In case anybody in their friends and family situation have a busy body, and they give. People have become familiar with you because you are friendly with Meghan Markle. Of course. Now, the Justice of Sussex, and some people think that you're the one who brought Harry and Meghan together that you introduce them. Well, I guess. Relationships. Right. Personal relationships. Happy for them, right? I mean people I need to learn to use semi family. I need to learn how to use this consort. What's the Hollywood speak? Yes. She was the one. Yes, she was. She was because. Her connection with hairy goes like, it's it's Harry. But she also knows Jessica, okay. So she was like the pivot like she knows Jessica the silenced. Because this lady is a style lady. And she we're not even going to play, you know, all of her. She did a fashion show. No. So she knew Jessica mission. You Harry, the twos style women. Yes. That's how it happened and think that's interesting that as their style issue. I guess that's like you tell a lot of personal information to your hairdresser. And all these they have saluting all that time. They're seeing you naked. They know what all your kibbles and bits recovered anything on right? He would probably appreciate your kibbles. Yeah. Okay. So Meghan ready to be a Royal. And one of the things I will just say I mean, because she has been that's just Megan has been active in charity work since she was in the public eye before she was with Harry, right? He has banned that's kind of been her thing. When she was just a working actress that she was doing missions and involved with clean water in girls education, and blah, blah, blah. So she covers this week's us weekly, and people magazine and the media. Have anything new to say us, please is all about how mega monster change, the Royal rules more specifically, how the Burrell's communicate? And the people magazine is just, you know, the the baby shower the romantic baby, moon, Posey new home, and blah, blah, blah, blah that part where they were talking about world when you're talking about the baby charges this hand, if it's a boy or a girl in all these different things that are going out that with some of the things that were at the baby shower, apparently something. Yeah. People are led to believe she's having a boy because it was blue. Yeah. So anyway, but I think the biggest takeaway I would just like to remind the British press is that you are not the only game in town when it comes to duchess, Meghan. She's American and the US press, they think that I mean, there's so much bullying harassing and rotten stories that come out of her. And I'm convinced it's racism and making keeps providing reminders to the British press. How much the American she's perfectly willing to play this game globally. Americans lake her and people like her and the Queen lakes her today, that's three these things come out in Royal this fancy pants Robert Jobson because he spent years commenting on the monarchy. He's he was asked. You believe the stories about Meghan being difficult are true. And he said, yes, they're probably true. And clearly there's been a confrontation between her and Kate. And if there weren't the palace would have come down with a ton of bricks, I say. Right. I say b. Sometimes the way that they are spinning at that. She's difficult goes back to what you were saying, right. She's just trying to do certain things that are culturally different inappropriate appropriate for where she came from. So they're going well, she's being difficult. Custom to whatever is the way things have been done for the last fifteen million years. Yeah. It started with Meghan being difficult about the Thira. There's no way in the how I believe. No one would be a picky bitch about the tier when you're in looking at all the crown jewels. And Queen Elizabeth is saying I think this would be perfect with your dress. Yes. I don't even. I don't believe that. I don't believe that either. So anyway, I just think that you know, there's a lot of the British press can play that game. But she when she was in here last week for New York. I mean, she was like rockstar. People magazine is finding out they sell their issues. Us weekly is finding out when she's on the cover. The newsstand sales grew up. I mean, even if you go to their website, they have their royals tabbies. I love her. She was enough because I know most of the stuff that I learned about the royals. I would listen to you. About they are not my fan. But she gives me a reason to pay more attention now, Mike, okay? They had translated it into what me as a layman fan. Okay. Now. I care think about how white bread the British monarchy has been coined back. You know, I don't know what housing years along. Here is this American biracial woman who wins Harry's hard. He's happy, and he's gone through all the stuff, and he is the spirit. So he doesn't have to act like the air in the whole different set of rules and the Queen adores her and why the dogs loved her the dogs even here he admitted Mark and bite at me every time she's the only one that's ever come in. And the you that you know, how he's over a dog lover. Yes. Anyway. So. What are their little Vanity Fair is leading us know that Megan Harry planned raised polo baby with fluid appro, I call Paul polo baby because I'm convinced. It was the baby was conceived during a polo match things alive. Anyway, a fluid approach to gender which seems to be modern way. Don't it doesn't have to be blew. It.

"Everything entertainment. Colleen Lindstrom Bradley trainer. And I want to tell you about a couple of things you will find in this, very exclusive people magazine issue. This is currently on newsstands. Yes. And I want to ask you if you think that this multi pronged PR campaign in people magazine is really working to rehab, Meghan Markle's. Image. Okay. So first of all and this actually came to light last week. But we didn't get an opportunity to talk about it. A number of Meghan Markle's, close friends are speaking anonymously to people magazine about what a wonderful person Meghan Markle really is because they are fed up with the bad press. That Meghan Markle has been getting. So a number of her inner circle have spoken with people magazine to quote, stand up against the global bullying that they are seeing and speak the truth about their friend. They did. So under the condition of complete and total anonymity. And they said such things as Meg has silently sat back and endured the lies and untruths. We worry about what this is doing to her and the baby. And it's wrong to put anyone under this level of emotional trauma. Let alone a pregnant, okay. Okay. So far. Mhm? Another one says we've all been to their cottage it's small and she's made it cozy but the perception of their lifestyle and the reality are two different things. Mega cooks for herself in Harry every single day. Another one says we had a couple of days together recently. Her husband was out of town on work. Her husband Prince, Harry was out of town on official Royal business in the room. She made up for me. There was a candle lit by the bed slippers in a robe. We were the only two in the house. It was our time. Thereby the made I mean, she made the most lovely meals. She made T every day it was raining and muddy outside. So the dogs got all dirty. She's wiping them off with how much she loves her animals. How much she loves her friends how much she loves building you taking care of you. None of that has changed. Okay. I have a question. This is the so-called revealing information about hey hanging. Marco Meghan Markle that too. By anonymous friends into wave. Okay. So there are a couple of possibilities. Are we saying that this is all just lies to sell magazines? Are we saying that her friends really did talk to people magazine with lies? Are we saying that her friends didn't talk to them, and it's all lies or are? We saying that Meghan Markle talk to people magazine. And it's all I mean, like, what are we actually saying is likely behind these stories? You know, I I don't know. I think that the possibilities are sort of endless about how the story got to people magazine. But my my tendency would be to believe, and I'm going to add one really quick I want to add one quick thing to help dole this argument. Okay. They also these anonymous friends who spoke to people magazine on the condition of anonymity. Also spoke exclusively about Meghan relationship with her dad Thomas Markle, and they spoke about the letter that Meghan wrote to her father before the wedding. And they showed a portion of it to the magazine. Okay. Well, that would presume that it's a legit source. I got a question for you. Have you ever written a letter to somebody else and provided your friends with a copy of it? Or why would your friends have a copy of an E-mail letter? But it wasn't it was a handwritten letter. And that's like, that's actually like stated gotta find where it says. But that's that's how it's been described that she literally wrote a handwritten letter to her father Thomas Markle, and they share what that letter said they share portions of that letter with with people magazine. I mean to me what it seems like is Meghan has asked these people in her quote inner circle to provide a glowing review to people magazine about her. Now why because she has been the subject of global. How did they put it was the word global? They want the global she because she's being dragged through the mud globally. So I. Global? Like. But that's like, so we're we're we are to believe that Meghan Markle gave permission to her friends to speak anonymously to people magazine, which seems pointless than that. They would that they would need to be anonymous because Meghan Markle's they're saying that they got permission for Meghan Markle to do this. Why doesn't Meghan Markle just say this? My other question is why are they gotta be anonymous. Yeah. Why do they have to be anonymous because what I would say if I were trying to get my friends point of view out, or if I was trying to get my point of view out through my friends anonymously. I would be like you guys can go do what you want. But don't tell them that. It was neither gave you permission. Because I don't wanna look like I'm trying to change the story. You see what I'm saying? That's why something doesn't add up. I'm not quite sure what's going on here. Like because do I really believe that Meghan Markle? I mean, I guess I'd I don't personally believe that. She cares that much that she's going to maneuver some weird. People magazine exclusive, but then at the same time conspiracy theorists that we are why not exactly well, if that's the case they just feel like she did it in a weird way. Well, let me add I would have tried to lie to people. Let me add this L. First of all Donna Valentine is texting that dad also shared the letter tabloids. He did he also shared the letter with tabloids. But the friends provided the letter as well before he shared the letter. So they were talking about it first. And then he was like, oh, I'll give up the goods, and he gave up the letter as well. George Clooney's also talking to people magazine about his friend, Meghan Markle. I don't know. What is he saying? He says that the the tabloids are chasing, Meghan, Markle everywhere. She's being pursued and vilified. This is according to this was at a press panel that he said this. She's a woman who's who is seven months pregnant, and she's been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was it's history repeating itself. He said we've seen how this ends. Speaking of the fatal crash, of course, that goes over over the top. I mean, unless I'm totally missing the story on the Meghan Markle beat every day. But I did not realize she was being chased by paparazzi constantly. But if I don't know then he was he was asked whether or not he'll be the new Royal baby's godfather. And George Clooney said. Oh, yes. I'll be the godfather of the royals apparently. And then he clarified that it was a joke. He said, oh, no. I'm the father of twins. I have enough bleep to deal with literally..

"Hopefully, and then that's what's rewarding to me. Tony huge is injecting himself with foreign chemicals for our sins. Basically. Why why do you think it is that successful people? A lot of successful people thousands and thousands of successful people. You see it all the time. He you look at headlines of some of these entertainment shows, you see like people magazine, you see these divorces and these things happening all the time. What do you think successful people struggle sometimes relationship? I mean everyone struggles whether you're successful or not successful. But it seems like when someone's really successful and really determined towards one thing that maybe it doesn't fall in line with maybe it doesn't always fall in line with being with somebody forever. Yes. I have a lot of examples of this one was I think it was my brother telling me about how these these super successful guys will hire people to help them find a good relationship because they have developed they've put all their time and energy and focus into business, but they've neglected this other part of their life. So like, the relationship part of our life is is another part that requires nurturing and learning and if we're so. Focused on business. We may not be learning the sided relationship just like someone could be book smart, but not street smart or vice versa. So it takes time and learning, and you know, women were men so talking about relationships like learning a woman and learning what a woman really wants them, what motivates them it makes them happy and gives us type relationship. We want is his a lot of either education through. I highly recommend everybody read books like men are from Mars winner from Venus. I don't even remember what it says. But it's ingrained in my subconscious, and it changes the way I communicate with them. And I realized things like the golden rule think the biggest mistake that I was taught when I was young as the golden rule. My mom always used to say treat people how you want to be treated, and it took me so much pain and trial and error to realize that people want to be treated differently than than we have the four languages of love. And you know, I personally someone like a female giving me a gift means not very much to me, but the physical attention and affection means a lot to me so learning what how we interpret love and how we receive. Love and how we give love. So it's all part of that educational process and successful people when they're focused on business. They're not oftentimes have the energy in time to focus on things like relationship or their physique or so that's why. You can have someone who's really good at one thing and suck and everything else. And that's that's totally normal. It just means that they for for their and atlas superstar athlete or successful superstar businessmen. They can teach other people about business. But then they need to learn from other people about things like relationships, and it's hard when you're really good at something you develop an ego about it..

The Jamie Kloss was found alive on people dot com right now. I think that you guys have been talking about today. We're just happy that she's been found alive, and such a horrific story that twenty one year old person man has been arrested and connected with it. And the allegations are the charges are surrounding the murder of her parents, and and then her wherever she's been sort of taking her. So what a crazy story, especially when it comes to how she was discovered. I don't know if you've talked to him about that at home walking their dog, and they recognized her and they said she looked like a ghost or the ghost appeared. And you can only imagine the horrific things that she likely went through. But I mean, thank God. At least a little bit of good news. Otherwise, really tragic story. So. All the stuff that people dot com. Yeah. And we had a we were carrying the press conference earlier today since it's just been so huge here in the Minnesota, western Wisconsin area, of course. But. Someone was had emailed us and said, you know, how about a shout out to Jamie, close and her bravery to figure out what she could escape and get to someone who could help her. Now, Jeremy since this happens to be an entertainment radio station. We understand that you have a story about the cover of people magazine this week. The always lovely Nicole Kidman, always lovely, Nicole Kidman, Keith urban, the kids finding happiness all that. How long do you know, how long you've been married? I'm just gonna hold. Eleven years almost twelve years twelve years for them. The thing that I love most about this story is oh I love a couple of things about one of them is her quote about marriage that URL about love real love is when you go through tough things the tough times together that that's when you kind of test it, and you know, that it's real that was one thing. The other thing was the story of how they initially met in two thousand five at this event. And they're introduced whatever that he ended up circling back, and they went on his motorcycle ride up in up in upstate and just had this romantic time. But then it also he showed up at five AM on her like editor, your city apartment out of the stoop kind of like, you know, dating her whatever with some flowers. It's just so amazing. I am no. Oh, wow. Okay. So our question was.

"Honestly, like majlis only friend that was there was her best friend Jesse and Liam had like a handful of his friends there that were from Australia. So really was a very very very small tight knit group of people and even with with family and close friends like they still made a point to say like, hey, guys, like, this is a private thing for a reason. Like, we love you all, but please don't take photos Liam out a handful of his really close friends from Australia that he's you know, then buddies with for a really long time. So it was I thought it was really cool like if I reate married, I think I would probably do the same thing. And maybe I would maybe they're like a reception. That's that's more of a party like for all my friends and stuff, but I really liked. They kept it small LIAM's. Friends that kind of fucked it up he at was and he feels really bad, and I didn't really ask like what happened. But I think from what he says like no one told him not supposed about it. So he didn't know our that should have been like whenever walked in the door be like all right guys. Here's a basket put your phone now. Well, I think because it was just so few of us. I think they disapproved everybody was smart enough to know. I know and I like he feels really bad. But it was just one of those things where like I didn't even have my phone the whole night. Like, I made a point to put it in my bag, and I didn't take one picture. I didn't do anything like, and it was honestly really nice to just be present. And there for like that of it. You know, what I mean, it looks like? It looks like everyone was in like jeans and a t-shirt. Well, no funny. Everybody was calling my mom out for having jeans on, but she actually changed clothes. Once we started to like, you know, like hang and do more of the like party time after dinner, but for the ceremony and stuff she had on black pants. But honestly like it was at the house, and it didn't feel like everybody needed to dress up, which was kinda nice. It was very laid back, which is which is very Miley. Liam so. Understand because like their lives are in the spotlight that you'd want like the most unspoilt lighted event for your wedding. Yeah. But there's also a pardon me. That's like, and I guess it's just like when you just have fuck you money that you just don't need it. But I assume that like people magazine was like, we'll give you a million dollars to cover your wedding. You know, I mean, I'm I mean, I obviously don't think people knew about it like they didn't announce anything, but I'm sure they would have. But it's just one of those things where like, you know, like some things like money just can't buy and having a private ceremony with something that was worth doing. That's that's where I wanna get to in life. I won't know right now so much success can be like. I don't want a million dollars fee to come to my party. I know I know it was it was really cool. That was precious. Like, I never cry and I cried, and it was like a whole thing who was like in the bridal. Was there a bridal our no no that wasn't even it was so low key. It was so chill was really sweet of them. I think the funniest thing about this whole thing was the the overwhelming response that I saw was they're not married already. I thought they were very, oh, yeah. Well, they wear worn rings forever. Yeah..

"Univer but on might robot. Tony interest Elba is people magazine's sexiest man alive. That's a good choice. Right. I'm Tony Kornheiser. Still number one in the seniors division. I'm shocked and thrilled and C L. But you know, what I call people magazine usually white people magazine other than a few athletes and a few singers dancers magazine, they're not really acknowledging the let me tell you some cross section of people in America my personal history with it yoursel business. You have personal. No, no, he's stringer bell stringer bell. Okay. In the wire. He's stringer bell. Great. Yeah. I couldn't believe that. He was British could not believe you not watch anything else. That's introduction to him. British couldn't believe man. We're going to feed TI boys and girls today's episode, Kyrie Irving Naji and Carlos Stanton is a subject of trade rumor and college basketball season starts tonight yet, but we all night with the Dallas Cowboys losing. At home last night to the Tennessee titans by two touchdowns and falling to three and five on the season. After the game. Jerry Jones said he would not make an in-season coaching change. So Jason Garrett is presumably safe today. Jerry Jones said he would extend Dak Prescott contract. We'll those the right calls. Tony. I don't know. I don't know whether the right calls, the Dallas Cowboys just seem stale in staggered to me, some go to somebody that we know who knows we have is a guest on this show of the years. Mr. Choi Aikman who has to always the voice of reason. And he said, it was his his opinion is a former cowboy that the they're in complete need of an overhaul for the organization, and he'd said, nothing changes. And you can't just look at people coaches, and those basic things he's yet to look at issues like how you run the organization. How is it that you evaluated knows Jerry looks at everything. What about these big things? He's big picture things. Anthony, Troy Aikman. Of course is r-. Right. It's just one connected dot decision to another for the Cowboys. They never seem to get it. Right. And when they do not for long the Cowboys looked like just another domino this organized mess. Oh, are you saying that your interpretation of what Troy saying is that the fault lies completely with Jerry Jones, and Jerry? Say I'm quoting complete overhaul the organization, where's that start? You. Tell me what you read into that. I read into that that same. Something different. I don't know what Jason Garrett has to do or not do to get fired. He's essentially a five hundred coach he's been there since two thousand ten he said to playoff appearances, you know, a lot of guys get the boot earlier than than now Dak Prescott threw an interception last night. There was so terrible. I could not believe it. He had a receiver sandwiched in the end zone between two guys through it. Soft and fluffy. You could gotten it and its receiver had no chance, I don't know about extending him. He doesn't look anywhere near as good without this Bryant and Jason Witten, but I will say this about Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones hasn't had a big time coach since Bill Parcells left after thousands. And you know, what that suggests to me Jerry don't need to start. We Jerry one the knows choice. They need to look at what they're doing as an organization that starts with Jerry and say some Dak Prescott that Prescott needs to be better coached that Prescott could be my quarterback. But I want to coach there's going to do it. Little bit differently than Jason..

"Car but that didn't excite me anymore than seeing the iron giant pop up at some point really excited me it just it was fine but it didn't give me that thrill that maybe it gives some viewers but i also wasn't one of those viewers who felt like okay this is just a bunch of nonsense where they're they're preying on our love for nostalgia and that's all it wants us to respond to it didn't really work for me or not work for me on that level but brought up that article only because it seems to tie back to something i did jot down here which is you can argue that this movie is a weird kind of defense of the auteur theory right which which basically the movie says that everything you'd ever want to know about holidays work you can no by understanding his life by understanding his creation is creation vin by understanding his personality even the things that happened to him as a person what what defines him as a man in this case also can help you understand what defines him as an artist an and that's why they're all looking for those clues and i mean that that seems to me maybe i'm reading it to simply but the most basic version of the notion that well you know a film was made by certain filmmaker when you understand all the impulses that they have as a man or woman as they are divulged or revealed throughout their work and we can basically create kind of a profile of them through their work of course and most of those cases we really know nothing about these people as people other than maybe what what us weekly or people magazine might show us otherwise it's only from the work we can derive a sense of their personality here we we can go back as we said and actually watch these moments play out but i just i just thought that was fascinating that it it seems to be almost defensive the idea that the that the director is someone who is imprinting who he is as a person on everything he does as a filmmaker or as a creator there's a lot unpack there and i guess the first thing that leaps to mind is just how fascinating it is the idea of having an off.
