Will summarize it for you in a second, but she also did a quick summa. She said quote I haven't been doing so well lately, emotionally nocco of it I don't think I know neither pregnant relationship troubles, but trying to pick up the pieces and figure out how to get back on track. No quitting filmed a bunch in July to have videos for the rest. Of the year new video will be up tomorrow. It's not a magnum opus just the first of some fun and lighthearted videos that I hope you guys really enjoy I've missed you guys thank you for your patients what I try to get back to the grind. So in the aforementioned blog posts, she kind of broke down exactly where she's been what's been affecting her Of course, first and foremost, just just Kinda the blues from quarantine. You know we've all had a it's been a very bleak. It's been months and months and months of being stuck inside kind of depending where you are. But either way it's been a very bleak. Depressing year and that has affected her as affected. So many people on top of that. She had a lot of problems keeping up with the production shedule. She kept feeling like she was lagging behind You know she felt overwhelmed on top of that. She's been getting a lot of negative comments that have been really affecting her confidence people have been criticizing her voice have relationship. Abram wondering if she's pregnant, people have been attacking her body all the kind of horrible stuff that online craters in public figures deal with really let's be. Female craters really have to deal with very, very horrible, very personal comments on top of that she and her husband live in La their families live on the East Coast and during lockdown they felt very lonely and so now they decided to move back to the East Coast, be nearer to family and then on top of that. So from her quote, I, think when quarantine began, there was an increased amount for digital content. And the fact that I wasn't being productive or posting when people were asking full or wanting to watch videos made me feel even worse about myself like my stumbled couldn't have happened at a worse time and that's something I. Think a lot of craters have spoken about I think when things went into lockdown sudden feeling of like Oh. God, you know I'm a person who makes things I need to make lots and lots of things. To fill this demand, and if he didn't do that immediately, you'd feel like you're failing but you know, of course, these crates are suffering the same reality that the audience are and you know being locked down in quarantine in a scary world where you don't know what's going to happen. It's not actually the most productive environment for creativity for lighthearted content. You know there was that really annoying tweet that was going around at the beginning of of all this when someone was like Oh Shakespeare wrote a whole play while he was in lockdown because of the plague, you know use lockdown to to get some stuff done and it's like. Speaking in particular as someone who has to write a lot of jokes every week it was not the head space. It was the best head space to sit down and be like what's the why he is thing I can think of God I'm so bored. What's The wacky joking though? I can't leave the house June. "So James went to a doctor and the doctor diagnosed him with scurvy and then James says he drinks orange juice that he almost developed acid reflux. So from one problem to another. And Hannah had me rolling because she wrote honestly, this does not change my perception of James Blunt I already assumed he was made of as in me. I did however learn in the course of my research that he is not the same person as James Blake and seriously same girl same snaps to that. All right. Our loss article is kind of dark I apologize. But I, feel like it must be discussed. So, this article is fashion moguls sons say he orchestrated their rapes by Madeleine Adler. So we have another creep of the week Hemming Tim Norman may actually be tied. So Sky Peter Nygaard is apparently some sort of fashion mogul. I've never heard of him I've never heard of his companies. The baby I'm living under a rock and he has been allegedly guilty of some very Jeffrey obscene like schemes, but the plot thickened and got even darker and now his own children alleged that he made them be raped by his prostitute girlfriend. So in the suit against their father their sons that in the complaint are referred to as John DOE number one and John Doe Number to say that Peter Nygaard ordered them. To own norms, I ordered one of his longtime girlfriends and known sex worker to make a man of them and statutory rape them when they were fourteen and fifteen respectively, the documents also alleged that his business. The Nygaard companies knowingly conspired aided, facilitated and helped cover up the Raves by providing company money and resources, and like I said, I compared him to obscene because he has also been accused by ten women and girls. They filed a sexual assault and trafficking lawsuit against him, and the lawsuit accuses him of sexually assaulting young impressionable and often impoverished children women after luring them with cash and false promises of lucrative modelling opportunities. Some of the plaintiffs are minors. He's also accused of using alcohol drugs, force of other means of coercion to engage in commercial sex acts with these children and women. Again, this is so similar obscene who would lure their Moore the man with promises of furthering their career. They'll be told that he was such a powerful man. They basically had to do what he said and then. He would assault them I. Mean it's just it's just awful a how so often power is used. In, these situations and the power imbalances by going after these women who don't really have a leg to stand on a lot of ways in society. I'm just so sick of hearing these stories. I'm I'm so glad that hopefully justice is. Being received, but it's just disgusting and to do this to your own sons. Is just beyond me and I know for some reason I filling. This is considered more. Okay I. Feel Like I've seen this TV shows where it's like, oh. Yeah. Like my dad made a man out of me like let me have a prostitute in like it's almost glossed over and not seen for what it is that.

"Behind pursuing the story, but the paper's publisher was adamantly against it. You Know I. Guess what I would say to. That is just that. It was made clear that we weren't going to continue with the story. Why wouldn't they bob well? That is the question of course to find out. We call the publisher of the free press at the time Rudy RETTIG COP who says he? He still remembers that episode. He told US quote. There was a lot of external pressure from High Position Winnipeg irs or business people who he refers to as Nygaard compatriots and the city's kingpins at the time. He said those people thought we were on a witch. Hunt I. They didn't know how to believe that Peter Nygaard was involved in those things. The free press reported it received a threat that NYGAARDS company would sue. But Rudy radical upset that didn't affect his decision to stop Mitchell story, and he said Nygaard never called him directly, but other members of the Winnipeg business community did. Really read, aqap ultimately decided to kill any further stories about Peter Nygaard. He told US quote. I was not sure that we weren't just trying to create some sensationalism for Winnipeg. I decided not to continue with it. It was a long time ago. Things were different. You know what maybe we should have preceded, but you know we didn't. The decision was made at the time and we just have to live with it. So basically the story was was killed a story that could have been heard back back in one, thousand, nine, hundred, six, and spiked and it. It seems to have echoes with what we've learned about other powerful men. You know people like Jeffrey Epstein. And Harvey Weinstein who managed to keep their sexual assaults out of the press and secret? Yeah, exactly with them, and with Nygaard, the essential question is the same, if so many in you, public politicians police. How could it be kept a secret? Key consider the cases. We're talking about here. April telex was a quarter of a century ago Casey Allen Yana a Nygaard, rape them over forty years ago. How could it all on so long? Well, what happened there with the Winnipeg free press is the answer however in this me too era when women begin to come forward now, the floodgates open. And, so, what does Peter say? But you know the Winnipeg. Free Press Killing Story About him in ninety six. Yeah Richard. Good is one of nygaards lawyers on the record. He told US quote Mr. Nygaard was not involved in any attempt to stop the publication of story about unreliable, false and malicious allegations by MS Larson about Mr Nygaard. So, what else did I have to say about? The allegations themselves well as we always do CBC News Detailed Young Larson's allegations in a letter to the Nygaard lawyers in response lawyer j probers called the accusations completely false. He said there was of course never any formal complaints to the police or anyone else. Else and there was never any criminal charge at the time forty years ago, this was likely instigated by those involved in the criminal conspiracy against Nygaard, so he's referring to a criminal conspiracy against Nygaard. What's he referring to that? Well, that's become Peter Nygaard legal mantra through all of this at all of the women who've accused him of sexual assault or rape have been paid to lie as part of a conspiracy by nygaards neighbor in the Bahamas. An American billionaire named Luis Banking in order to destroy nygaards reputation, the to have been feuding now for more than ten years after a property dispute between them boiled over into a series of lawsuits. This is the result. But you just a few moments ago that that many of those allegations were about incidents that happened many many years ago long before this alleged disputes. So how do they square precisely? Yana April Casey? All of them described incidents. They took place ago before any of these legalities got started. The women we spoke to believe their stories which you just heard challenge Peter. Nygaard long-held defense. They say that's a big reason why they're coming forward now and just hope that police in Canada are paying attention Sokaia Dot. Mean that a chance Nygaard could be prosecuted in Canada's well well, though we know, there are criminal prosecutions in both the US in the Bahamas, Canadian police won't say whether they're investigating nygaard now or not, but think about this Peter Nygaard is a Canadian citizen. He's recently been living in Manitoba. His business now in receivership is incorporated in Canada. Legally there is no statute of limitations for rape and Canada and even if Nygaard were charged with sexual crimes, committed abroad Canada's sex tourism law means he could still be prosecuted for them here. And you'll remember Casey Allen who we heard from earlier. After! We reported her story. She told us she picked up the telephone and called the Winnipeg police to report. She'd been raped by Peter Nygaard. She has since we understand given them her statement well after all those years. What about Iana Larson in Denmark? What's it like for her to share her story right now? We spoke to Yana there in her living room in Denmark her her daughters at the seated next to her mother herself now. When we finish talking. They hugged both of them in tears. It was the first time our daughter at heard these details. And I asked John if that was partly why she was doing it. It is. I don't get anything out of telling my story except. Maybe a bit more piece inside. It's good having my daughter here as well. It's pleasant. But yet I feel good about. Her knowing it. I, asked myself some peace. After all those years. It was heartening to know at that moment that this was the beginning of the rest of her life. Eighth Episode Ever Wow if anybody's listening and his listen to every show since then you deserve a medal. Yeah, because a lot of shows, people have, and they deserve medals. Yeah, or at least a merit badge, a ribbon. Yeah, that was back in two thousand eleven when we started and we were talking to you then about. About the nature of existence, a documentary that you had created at that time you were exploring the depths of why we're here. All these deep questions was eighty, four, eighty three. There were a lot of questions. Yeah, I had a somewhere above eighty ninety questions that I asked everybody all my interview subjects, and squeezed it all into one documentary called the nature of existence. My core question, though above all those sub questions was. Why do we exist? What is our purpose here? Why are we supposed to do big topic in I? Set out to solve it and you did age-old existentialist question philosophers have been wrestling with it for centuries and I went out and solved. You didn't give away the answer on that episode, so you still have to watch that documentary. If you want to know the answer, but it's very socratic in that you, the the what I try to do is lead the viewer in a direction, so you can make your own decision or come to a realization on your own without me. Preaching to you, here's the answer well. That's smart. Because I think you were right to resist. Giving it on a silver platter because it doesn't work that way. However, when I made my next documentary, we may talk about today. The truth about marriage at the end I just stood up and said okay. Here's the answer. In case you missed it. Stop everything here. It is, and you did okay, so it's an eighty two minute documentary, the truth about marriage and you do you solve it? You talk to lots of experts and a lot of couples. Trying to think of couples as the correct collective term, yeah couples, but there's some complicated dynamic, because not everybody's relationship is the same. That's not a pejorative yet, but at the end of the documentary. Yes, you do solve it exactly what the truth is about marriage. I didn't know the answer when I sent out and I I become obsessed with what I'm doing wrong way. I'm such a failure. Hold on, you're leading me into interesting conversation and I haven't finished. Finished introducing you yet? We should also say by the way on that episode when we talk you us. I realized that was the first time that carried the name swap.
