Fresh update on "nuggets" discussed on Speak For Yourself with Cowherd & Whitlock

"Lost to the after they lost the clippers should've? Junior comes out and says man, you know what? We have more than just to players. We have more than just a mole Murray and more than just joker Yokich doke we more than everybody called him crazy. Hey, man stop talking so much young but you've just got out here just what you do not talking. But he was right because what happened the nuggets to pull off the biggest playoff ups that we've seen in recent history beating the clippers because what he was saying this by just forcing the Baltimore two stores were not actually being good collective team as we can be I submit the same thing for the cowboys that press got was a star a bright. Shining Star but by forcing the ball, that Prescott stardom you forget you have Ezekiel Elliott a top four running back the since he's been in the League really you could argue that the top two running back I don't need you to do so much Andy just do enough man and you just show why Mary and you single and you still trying to find. Stay in your high. Oh, but they're.

They did. They sent a chicken nugget into low orbit. They said. They did it so people would know that their food was out of this world. Those

Los Angeles Dodgers fall to Atlanta Braves 10-2

"In Major league baseball. If you're a fan of the Dodgers, it is extremely disappointing. Clayton Kershaw was able to go out there and pitch tonight. We know he had back spasms that that he couldn't pitch the other night tonight, he shows up. And the Dodgers. They lost to the Braves, 10 to 2. Clayton Kershaw pitched five innings, gave up four runs. Not necessarily going to pin this on him, but The Braves that their bats, there's so much offense. The young pitchers are showing up. The Braves are going to be back in the world. Siri's pending a miracle here. Americal come back from the Dodgers. I don't know. Maybe they're going to take a cue from the Denver Nuggets and and come back from 31, but the way That the Braves young pitches has just waken up right now. I don't see it. This is going to be another disappointing season. For the Dodgers. If we can consider two months a season. I personally think two months is a joke. But hey, We got playoff baseball. We had two months and you've got to enjoy and take what you can when you got it.

"News Special Report. Hurricane Delta now has 90 mile per hour winds downgraded to a Category one hurricane in the last 30 minutes, but strong done the lest CBS News meteorologist David Parkinson says the effects will be felt into the weekend. Not only is there going to be storm surge tonight, but even as the storm has passed, you're still gonna be getting more things pushing. Uh, the water up in through the bayou system says some of the worst storm surge may not be seen until Saturday morning Correspondent Maria Aerials in Lake Charles and says for that area, it's a 12 punch. Their Their CBS CBS News News special special report report on on that that Piper's Piper's Go Go live live to to Lake Lake Charles, Charles, Louisiana Louisiana tonight tonight where where we just heard a little bit from the special report. Steve Dresner with W T O p Live with us, Steve. What can you add to the report? As far as damage already done there in Lake Charles, and now you may have more Well, that's true, Dimitri. Let me update the figures and actually, yo, about three minutes ago. My power totally went out here in the hotel. I would be careful not to walk around. I do come inside for a bit of safety reasons, because at one point we did have 94 95 mile per hour gusts. The hotel here at the Golden Nugget did have generators in an elevator power. But now we're totally in the dark. What I can tell you is the updated figures for power outages for The entire state of Louisiana were just over 92,000 in the state without power in Texas were just over 100,000 people without power and I'll parrot down just a little bit as Faras, the late Charles area looking at about 29,000 people without power, so the conditions still are not good. We're blowing rain, horizontal rain. There are plenty of people the hotel but right now we're completely without power in this area. What storm Surge concerns do you have there? Right now. Things have been OK. The storm surges you heard in the CBS report. Is there keeping an eye on things, but no, no horrible flooding, so to speak, And you also heard on the CBS report. Folks around here are still for the most part recovering from Laura. Um, so it is a 12 punch. As far as getting through tonight and bringing you up to current situation. Once this kind of moves North North east and we're on the West side. Things will calm down, hopefully in the next hour But we're still the only with some tough conditions. Power outages, Dmitri allotted debris on the road ways You can't even go on any of the neighborhood street side streets. One of our technicians from one, the Power line Cos told us They have pulls down in a lot of these areas, so really, wherever you are right now is this storm hits? That's where you're staying for a while. I really cannot go anywhere. We're not isolated, You know, as Faras roads are concerned, but it's just because of debris and, of course again. No power no worse staying put here. Steve of just a final thought about anything unusual. Anything else unusual You've seen because debris on the roads that's pretty bad. It is pretty bad. Dimitri and again is I said before, folks around here are still recovering from Laura. Um, you heard on the CBS report Blue tarps every word, but you asked me about things that are unusual. I think this is the positive. I will tell you that many more people evacuated the area song What happened in Laura? And they did learn their lessons. Because is a city Sean in Hillary earlier today, I've not seen a long line of traffic on westbound I 10. I used the example like on Route 29 from Howard County to Montgomery County, Dmitri 47 Miles bumper to bumper traffic. Folks evacuating, so I think you can take a positive that a lot of people left the area. We really appreciate the update. Steve, stay safe there and we'll talk to you soon. Thanks, Dimitri. That's Steve Dresner. With W. T O p live on Skype from Lake Charles, Louisiana, he says just minutes before he came on the air. The hotel he's staying at has lost power. Certainly a common theme for that whole region For the next few days, at least.

How To Deal With Guilt (Family VS Career)

"Talked to work imams for a moment. I've always been. Quite, excited and maybe a little bit proud that. Nearly sixty percent of our audience. Is Female. And I will tell you that I grew up in a house with a working mother. My wife is a working mother. So I have a special place in my heart for MOMS in general, but certainly working moms and yet I know that. There's a lot of pressure. From outside and self-induced pressure. and. I saw this article by Cheryl Ziglar. In Harvard Business Review and I said you know what this is well done and I want to share some of the knowledge in this article with working mom's my audience. So how to let go of working mom guilt? That's the title. and. She. References a book. By the title of forget having it all. By any Westerville. And she sums up the working mom dilemma. By saying this, we expect women to work like they don't have children and raise children. As. If they don't work. Because of this women feel guilty guilty for working. Guilty for not working blurred balance of work time spill in the family time half listen your children's stories from the day or missing Alameda full time with them can lead MOMS to feel. Like they're failing. And so she goes on to in this article give some very practical ways for you to overcome this working mom guilt. The first is forgive yourself. She says, letting go of guilt has to start with a commitment to stop beating yourself up over your choices and circumstances. Guilt. Gone. Awry. Turns into shame in his emotionally, painful. Too costly feel like your mom bad employer bad friend secondly, revisit your values. One of the most grounding exercises people can engage in is getting clear about what their values our priorities are in life then living life in accordance to so stop the madness essentially what we're here. Press? Pause. What do I want my day to look like and I'm GonNa, make some decisions and take some steps to make that my reality, get off the assembly line and get off the hamster wheel. and. Shape your day. Third Ask for help. One of the hardest thing for many women women to do is to ask for help by the way that's not just a female thing. That's a human thing. It's hard for all of us to say, will you help me? Instead of asking for help working mom may just be fueling her stress by trying to do it all herself then realizing. She can't. Fourth be good enough at home. Just good enough. I got something out of this folks guy no matter where your mom but I made some notes on this one. The. The writer of the article. Share Ziglar references an attachment researcher talking about the attach between parent and a child. Same John Boldness. Parents simply need to be emotionally present comfort the child attuned to their child's feelings. It's show delight when seeing their child and then support your child. With their challenges, that's how you have a healthy insecure parent child attachment. So this idea of being a great parrot, probably not a good goal. Any one area where we shouldn't try to be great because I don't know if it's possible be great but you can be those things for your kids. and. Then fifth on follow those that bring you down watching other people vacation share their family photos on facebook or instagram. Can Really. Raise the comparison tension in your life. And, you're looking at everybody else's life and how their life is where you want your life to be and you start feeling really crappy about your life don't do that. Their journeys, not your journey their timeline is not your time line. And their realities, not your reality and one little nugget here. Their reality is probably not reality that instagram profile is the best of the best of the best of their moments and can we all be honest? It might just be opposed moment. Their life is a stinking disaster right before they take that photo they tell the kids be quiet. They shove candy in their kids mouth and face just to get him stop long enough to take a picture and say I've got it altogether. Come on now. So, if you're having a problem looking at other people and playing the comparison game stop. You, do you do the Best I?

How To Scale Your Offer With Ravi Abuvala

"Everyone today we've got another special episode of Marketing School. At this time, it is with Ravi. Bhalla I think I got that right scaling with systems he's chief scaling officer. We're GonNa let him explain what that means in a second, but she's comes affirm that helps other companies scaled to multiple seven fighters using virtual assistant automation systems and I love nursing out on this type of stuff you know whether it's marketing whether it is you WanNa talk about mergers and acquisitions there always are systems that you have to follow and really great. To Have Ravi on the show. How's it going man? I'm Doin' excellent Eric. Thank you so much for having me on longtime listener actually just in the last guests that you had on us to swift. So that's actually how i. kind of had stumbled across through guys in the first place and everyone that's listening. You got so lending ears, I. Hope I gave you got some value today for sure it's going to be dig out as. Many nuggets as I can for everyone. So let's talk about it. I mean scaling what systems, what is your definition of it and maybe some practical kind of case studies examples yeah it'd be happy. So we essentially take businesses usually higher ticket service space businesses, and usually in the business sector. So online advertising, we've done real estate investing real estate residential search engine optimization. We've gone across the board, but essentially, what we do is we help. Them scale by setting in systems automations and the coolest part about it as we have a training center in the Philippines and we place fully trained virtual assistance inside of our clients companies at about three dollars an hour. So we essentially teaching them what they need to do or grow and scale sales, funnels automations add we can nerd out on that, and then we actually give them a virtual assistant that's going to do that work for them. Got So maybe I mean stories are always a good way to explain kind of what you do. So is a case that you can speak to his for example, I work with this type of company and we did this specifically and these are the results that they saw. A glove too. So there's a few different ones but I just was on a podcast little earlier on a day and gentleman was creating podcast essentially PR company where he gets other people on podcasts and explaining to him about a client of mine. Adam he is an incredible company mogul insider and he came to us he didn't really have know what he was doing. He said how what kind of run up your company but I don't know what I'm GonNa do and I look I've been on these PODCASTS, their incredible I've been monetize. An quite a bit just from the value on giving people reaching out to us as are the biggest issues in the marketplace is in this industry is you give people on podcast, but the other issue is that you're not figuring out teach people how to monetize that podcast like how do you actually make money from you just saying, Hey, I have a great product or service doesn't really do anything and so what we pretty much did is crap in a back end off for him so that he was actually teaching his clients, how to. Generate sales from the PODCASTS that they're getting on how to generate leads and sales from, and so we essentially helped him construct that and he came in literally dollars in the bank. When he started this product with us, we taught him Dave, the virtual system created a sales funnel forum, great video sales letter first thirty days he did about forty thousand dollars in monthly recurring revenue, and then within six weeks, he had about eighty thousand dollars monthly recurring revenue, and that's literally before he had even finished paying us off he was already at. Sixty thousand dollars a month recurring revenue from zero and it was because we were able to number. One system is the back end offer so that it was something that was the product market fit and just pour gasoline on the fire by having instagram outrage linked in outreach email advertising that kind of stuff. So just to clarify, did you take him from zero to eighty k. a month or so to sixty km length or both? So zero to sixty K. and then he actually joined my higher. Here's like look this works like with your. Higher level, and then we took him to eighty K. and we did that literally just by working a little bit closer with them and adding in I think organics are great way to start a you guys obviously deal talk about Seo Inorganic and we do that really really heavy. But at some point, obviously throwing in the paid ads aspect of it can really light a few on the fire and that's essentially where we did after we have a product market fit? We know the Messaging Works and We know that sales funnel converts then we're actually GONNA turn on pay traffic and that's how you Agassi take off. Got Just so I, understand this are you basically helping people craft their offer and then you're helping them scale it and then you had a va just to say, Hey, you go. We're going to take the training wheels off go a great question. So actually most of the time people already coming to us with an offer a product market fit? So he already had the idea that he. Wanted, and usually we don't work with or like I want make my first dollar online because that's a whole different person. That's like, Hey, I already have testimonies I have case studies. I just can't get enough deals. I can't get enough appointments on the phone whatever it is really great. Most of the time that has to do with you just not having enough attention and so day one that client works with us they sign up with us and work with us. We pretty much crafter messaging regret. What channel did you need going on and then we give it to the virtual assistant who does that outreach for them and so it's not unusual for client of ours who averages wanted to appointments a week before they come to us come in and within twenty four hours, they have about eight to ten appointments on the calendar for their service.

The Los Angeles Clippers Have Fired Doc Rivers

"Another myth another legend was fired Bob and I don't you were shocked as I was I, didn't see this coming where Doc rivers we had on the podcast you and I are both huge fans of doc as a human being as a coach. I don't. I. Don't know where I stand right now. Obviously, he is blown some big leads the latest being one in the bubble. Denver and with a team that let's face it. Steve. Balmer paid doc rivers big money to win a championship not not be eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in the in the western conference semifinals so Valid or not valid to let doc rivers go. I knew that we all knew that losing another three to one was not a good thing to have on on anyone's resume to do it twice in. Three years. And the do it with this owner as you said, who invested the overpaid for the team I think even by modern standards that teams are worthy he he got a little giddy with his two billion dollar plus purchase of the clippers the Lakers we could see but not the clippers. So okay, he's invested in this and I worried about it a little bit but I didn't think it would happen. I thought it was a possibility of Steve Bomber angry. But, I, thought it was an of course couching it. It's mutual ha you know coming out of the usual walk away from that money it's the modern. Thing to do that say it's mutual nationally I felt badly because I am very proprietary to a doctor and I have communicate with him already. But. It's understandable that an owner. Successful businessman. Odyssey's bomber is a highly successful with that investment. I I don't know what I don't know Jeff is the level of his own personal basketball acumen. I don't know how much he thinks. He knows he knows more doesn't knows more than that part I don't know you know. Here's what I'll tell you about. Here's what I'll tell you I. Don't think this was all Steve. Balmer. My guess is Jerry West who they pay a ton of money as a consultant. Okay. As a consultant. Yeah. Good point is Jerry West played a significant. In this move and now the question will be. What what's next in the big thing with doc and you and I know this we've been around enough. Great human being great communicator. But the biggest words that you would hear from players about doc dating back to the Celtics was a little bit of a Country Club, right? It's it's easy doctors a practice much. Older players veterans love, them. Again it's where you want to go to and the latter part of your. Extend Your career. and You wonder if that played a huge part here because certainly the clippers didn't look like there were in tiptop condition in the bubble weather. It was Knox fault whether it's back that mantras Harrow had a death in the family and didn't come into the bubble too late whether it's a fact that Lou Williams left the bubble and came back the Patrick Beverley. There were there were a lot of issues. But ultimately. It. Probably does follow on doc in a sense that you had the pieces you had the pieces. You shouldn't be watching if you're the clippers, you can't be watching the Los Angeles Lakers right now compete for

What is the 64-4 Rule and Why You Need to Start Leveraging It with Dennis Brown

"A welcome back everybody in day we have a solo episode I. Hope You're not upset it's just me I'm flying solo today but unless you've been living under a rock, most everyone has heard of the eighty twenty principle. So we're gonNA talk about today. But what we're GONNA do is we're going to put the eighty twenty principle on steroids jacket up we're GONNA, put it on steroids to give you even more significant impact on your business. So the short version of the PARETO principle says that eighty percent. Of Your facts come from twenty percent of your causes. Now, when I I read that it was kind of confusing but here's how it translates in a business context. Okay. Because we're here on the growth experts podcast though that's what we talk about businesses in growth right? So let me transition into more of a business conversation. You've probably heard the phrase eighty percent of your results come from twenty percent of your activities or maybe you heard eighty percent of your profits come from twenty percent of your customers. Or maybe you've even heard that eighty percent of your sales come from twenty percent of your sales people. Now, those are just a few. Here's a couple of more they may resonate with you eighty percent of your leads come from twenty percent of your marketing, and the last one of them to share with you unfortunately is that eighty percent of your customer complaints come from twenty percent of your customers. So it makes sense right? Because the fact is not all customers, prospects, sales, people, or even business related. Activities are equal. Therefore, we shouldn't try to treat them as equal right. This means that if you identify the twenty percent and then you focus in double down on those twenty percent of activities, you can see huge dramatic improvement in your productivity and even in your sales. All right. So again, hopefully you're not confused but if you are let me add your confusion now really I'm hoping that I can clarify this by the end. But what I'm about to do is put this eighty twenty principle on steroids all. Right so for example, we know that eighty percent of our profits come from the top twenty percent of our customers. What if we peel the onion back one layer more and did the math again, right. So if we applied the eighty twenty rule to the eighty twenty rule that we've already applied, right so this would equal sixty four percent of our prophet coming from the top four percent of our customers. So let me just walk you through that again again, if it's your applying the eighty twenty rule. To the eighty twenty rule, twenty percent of twenty that's four, and if you do eighty percent of eighty that sixty four. So I'm not very good at math in, it's not an exact science, but that's the basic framework of what we're doing. So think about it after you identify your top twenty percent of customers or better yet you apply the the sixty four four rule and you identify the top four percent of your customers that are generating sixty four percent of your prophet imagine creating a profile of. What each of those groups looks like what each of those customers look like right or prospects or whatever it is that you're you're leveraging here for the eighty twenty rule and focusing all of your sales and marketing efforts towards those potential clients that most closely match that profile I mean it's pretty amazing. How by simply focusing on the right activities on the right customers can have a huge impact on your business. So I decided to share this quick nugget with you today because I truly believe even if. You apply the eighty twenty rule, but even more. So if you apply the sixty four rule that we talked about today I, think it can have a huge impact in many areas of your business, including increasing sales, increasing prophet, increasing, productivity, identifying, and fixing problems within your organization and even improving your overall customer service experience.

"Is ESPN. Zach Lowe you did eventually figure out why Jamal Murray was throwing all that you after Denver made the conference finals. Curse of your official playoff picks for ESPN. Got That yes. fiene picks thing which is becoming the bane of my existence. He might have seen me on the jump the previous Friday in which because this is what they do on TV they say, Zach yes or no are the clippers winning game five and you can't be well, the nuggets are pretty good i. Yes or no said yeah, it's over but it was. It's not I. Don't enjoy it as much as people. I mean I feel like there's a decent chance that you just became the proxy for ESPN and possibly even espn daily because full disclosure we have not even talked about the nuggets since February. When we had a different host, this is how Meena and Doris Burke dealt with some of this nuggets speculation back that I'm sorry I'm sorry nuggets fans do you think they will be stuck in sort of that purgatory between the two teams? I still think they may be a year away Jamal Mary has got to be at the top of his game. He's not necessarily a shot creator, but he has this unique chemistry with Nicola Yokich. The sum of their parts is what makes that group special? What was the valid criticism of this team? Why did so many people miss out on the so badly? With people. You get to the final eight in the NBA playoffs. Every team is good. There are degrees of good but I pick the clippers to win the title. Anyway. So I was talking about this with someone on the nuggets yesterday because they were saying to me, why do you think? Everyone's for this team might terminology for me. What it was was like, what is this team's defense? So two years ago I think they were twenty third in defense last year they were like ninth or tenth, but there was this possibility that it was kind of full circle because they gave up a ton of threes and a ton of shots at the rim where they're getting lucky that opponents was missing those shots and this year they slid to twentieth. And were trending down all season long and so you had their numbers just all over the place but in a way that was like, maybe there's a sort of a mediocre to not good defensive teams like you can't win seriously in the playoffs and through the first four games against Utah they weren't healthy. They were recovering the the virus, it their team they looked bad on defenses any team I've ever seen him. They look I. Mean I heard you and Kevin talked about this on the low post podcast, your show and the phrase which I think it's fair to those who do remember watching the nuggets at some point earlier this postseason was it looked like they had quit. I just I think people. This is what we're learning about. This is like I think once the game start all of us have attended to watch the game what's going on in the game and forget like all day came with half team and were playing some of the seating games with like four centers and Paul Millsap on the floor and Gary Harris was injured in Wilburton is still injure since votes for Games. They've defended it like a top eight ish level in that's been the change like if the seem can defend their. Awesome. If they're mediocre bad defense if deemed third just good and it's unclear exactly what they are. So. We're according to on squad cast. We can choose our username and you have chosen four today. Nickel Yokich Stan. Zach. Lowe and let's first begin the conversation with you just describing for someone who's never actually even seen Yokich like what is Causing you to feel this strongly about that dude. So I was just watching before this in preparation for the conference finals. All of Yokich is post ups in pick and rolls against the Lakers, and he had this one pass that he caught in the post against Danny. Green with his right hand and. saw a cutter going baseline turn to the ball around in his hand without touching it with his left hand and like flicked this weird like his elbow was pointing up at the ceiling this weird like no look behind the back bounce pass raising the hunter is like every game he's throwing pass that I've never ever seen before Yokich with another past Murray got fouled. That wasn't another past Mike that was the pass over the head. Cup. These, toying with the game now. If you look at some of his passes to cutters like they're not open, they're not open they're totally well-covered. There is no pass available, but he just understands they're open. If the defense doesn't see the ball coming, he's the most imaginative passer certainly among big men I've ever seen they call him they broadly there's a consensus I think I agree as well. He's the best passing big man ever can we say that flatly I say that flatly The numbers are becoming pretty convincing people ten years older than you will defend bill. Walton sure and put his name in there. I'm young for buildings prime and of course, none of us got to see really arvydas bonus in his prime. But that's sort of the holy. Trinity of Big Man Passers. But everything he does like the way. I. See him shoot jumpers like my description for it is he looks like someone who's playing beer pong into his fourth hour at the table like just full extension just like flopping everywhere I don't know how this is going in, but it goes in for more often than you might think he feels like he's on the verge of becoming this enormous like very no doubt superstars AC. What do you expect to see out of him against the Lakers? I totally agree with you, and in fact I think.

"The advantage because they've been a lot better down the stretch last couple of games. Yeah and and I said and you asked me gang game every time we've talked after this game. What is Denver's chances to win I don't here's my answer I. Don't think they can win. But if they play to Yokich which I feel like they have a huge advantage and they start cutting with force and they start playing that style that's the only chance and it seems like. I don't know why limp into that style of play but man win Yokich Sabang the second half and things are going well for Denver. Everyone cut is. Twice, the speed it was before and when they catch, they finish at twice the speed and force that did before. So I mean to me, that's a formula for them. You know obviously, you have to try to sit down and stop quiet Paul George and all the Clinton Lou, Williams, all the guys clippers have. But when they're on the offensive end, just go in and play off of Yokich and I thought they did a good job of getting Yokich involved today and I thought he had a good balance of being aggressive but still hidden his teammates for great cuts. Nicole Yokich was the best player on the court on Sunday afternoon in game six, he had thirty four points fourteen rebounds seven assists. He also added a steel and a block and scale I think it's very rare that we watch any playoff series involving Kawhi Leonard and say he's not the best player in the series but I think till this point the series as great as has been the nuggets Nicole Yokich has been even better. Yeah. And he really good job of playing with the skill set of his team and everyone on their team can really benefit from playing with him including my boy Michael, Porter Jr., who still in like super super cold on by it felt like he did a really good job of playing off the Yokich today and and having like an appropriate aggressiveness. To tip to score. Michael Porter Jr. had thirteen points and seven rebounds coming off the bench for Denver. To other guys we have to give a lot of credit to on the nuggets sidescale that is they're starting back court. Jamal. Maury was terrific. He had twenty one points only thirteen shots also added five assists five rebounds. I hasn't been that efficient from the floor in this series, but he was excellent in terms of efficiency on Sunday afternoon, and then Gary Harris Galley did it at both ends that one sequence in particular in the first Half scale he had three high effort defensive plays in the first half when the nuggets were down and I think set the tone for them defensively I think to me scale watching the nuggets play in the first round against the Utah Jazz and now the second round against the La Clippers, his impact on the lineup especially in this series with all the offense of talent on the side of the La Clippers with Kawhi Leonard. Paul George and others has been really huge for the never nuggets. Yeah. I mean, can you imagine that? The. Were outscored by thirty five points at one point. In time they were outscored by thirty five points just in the second half. How is that possible in a playoff game with in an elimination game? Have you get outscored by thirty five points that is shocking number to me it would be bad to to for things to not be going right for you. For the entire game and you get outscored by thirty five but to have a a change like this, have a nineteen point lead and lose by I mean get it all the way down to a sixteen point lead for the nuggets. I can't really wrap my mind around how in its ban about eighteen minutes you can get outscored by thirty five points. The game just completely flipped in the third quarter, and then the nuggets ran away within the fourth. Nuggets were down three one in the series. Now have won two games in a row. The series is even at three and there will be a deciding game seven tomorrow night in the Western Conference semi finals ought to see who goes through to the conference finals against arrested La Lakers team scale. What are your initial thoughts just taking a quick look ahead to game seven on Tuesday night I just don't you have to bet the talent of the clippers I just think that they have a really good team and they should be able to stay locked in. That's like. To Bet against the clippers you're betting against by the human beings on the clippers they're meant their mental psyche not skill not everything you know about basketball not. You know like if quiet Leonard Skill set in their skillset defensively, what they should be your betting that there's something wrong Paul George or or are or something wrong with. A mantras heralded Lou Williams off the bench. They're just they can't stop anybody. It's it's not a basketball thing for the clippers at this point. In Game Five on Friday. Night the La Clippers were up fifteen points in the first half Marcus Morris started running his mouth too Paul. MILLSAP millsaps dominant for the nuggets on Friday, night in the third quarter brought Denver back they won that game and then they want again on Sunday afternoon us and now the series is tied at three on one final. Thanks. Gals talk about the disrespect for the Denver Nuggets I. saw this early in this morning, I had to go back and relook at US gals. I wonder if I just hadn't had enough coffee wasn't awake yet. Here's the headline from CBS sports and be page this morning scale NBA playoffs betting odds pick schedule as clippers squeak into western conference finals versus the La Lakers. Alfio, the Denver Nuggets this was before the game was played which the Denver Nuggets one by the way But this is not the only thing I've seen like this everybody's talking about Lakers Clippers Lakers clippers and I'll be very interested Gal to see if the nuggets have something to say about that on Tuesday night. Yeah I mean if this clippers lose, this is a colossal collapse after what you've done in the offseason giving up all those picks in players for shake Yoga I mean for Paul George, and then you to have a lead like this not be able to close it out. I just wonder this is like Know Dallas lose into the warriors. When the we believe team, it's like it's a it's a it's a psychological impact moving forward. You have to really check yourself in quite Leonard he'll be fine. It's the rest of those guys have to figure out like what are we really made of so A lot of pressure. All pressure like Mike alone said, we're playing with house money right now I'll pressure on the LA. Clippers. La Clippers have more talent than the Denver Nuggets also have a lot more pressure on them in game seven they're expected to not only be in the western conference finals but they're one of the favorites to win the championship. They had a commanding three one lead in this series that is now gone. Uh so as always you're listening to Scallon mcdonagh here on scowls and we will break down that game and that series for you in detail leading up to the big game seven late on..

"Steve. NFL preview. Time we've been counting down thirty two all the way to one your top teams in the NFL which brings us today two teams and we're going to start out with team number five, and that team is none other than the Dallas cowboys and I like the Dallas Cowboys over ten wins. You know I'm surprised that I'm going over ten with Dallas here but the more dig into Dallas season last year Jonas this is a team they've only won eight games really should have won either ten or eleven games. How in the world of this team only eight? Well, they went oh and five on their close games and were gut wrenching losses including the loss against. Minnesota where They just kept handing it to Zeke Elliott instead of winning the game really tough loss against New Orleans bottom line. If they go to in one in those games as a should've Dallas would have been a ten five and one team. So if they should've won ten games last year this year if I look at coaching. I have my questions about McCarthy and I my questions about a new coach, the transition and a cova deer with limited practices. But I absolutely could not stand Garrett and his in game decisions that he made I have to feel that that is an upgrade in coaching and I think that will get Dallas to eleven wins I'm looking I Bet Dallas over ten wins best bet. Dallas in that division as well too I just have way too many concerns about Philadelphia I think Philadelphia's the only other team that I look at the can compete with the Dallas cowboys are not sold on Carson Wentz healthwise I'm just not I'm not sold on what Philadelphia's got going on. especially with all these cluster injuries, you like to call it at the offensive line position mean Jason Peters agreed to play guard. Now they wanted to move back to tackle Tom. You want me to move to tackle I. Need a pay raise I mean to me that just seems like it might be a little bit problematic before the season starts but nonetheless, I'm not I'm not buying into Philly and I do like Dallas I also wonder about the coaching in limited availability and the opportunity for Mike McCarthy to really get his hands on that offense. But everything that we've heard is that Mike McCarthy's not gonna be calling the plays they're offensively. And that it's going to be the offensive coordinator who is there a year ago his name is slipping my mind formed count more Kelly Moore former quarterback I left. And I think Boise State and for some reason I just I was crossing the streams I don't know why. But nonetheless Kellyn Moore is going to be the offensive coordinator again and according to Mike. McCarthy. He's going to be the guy calm plays. Yes. So there is some continuity there and I think you bring up a really strong point oftentimes when you're betting on a team, you want to look at their opponents and division, and ideally you want to not like their opponents now Dallas is favored to win the division now they're. Minus thirty and a big part of it is that philly absolutely has gotten bad news loss to Lineman. So cluster injuries as we mentioned on the line wide receivers, two of their three starting wide receivers aren't going to be ready to go in September once hasn't practiced all week. So who knows what's going on with his health and I certainly don't like the New York giants I don't like The Washington football team. So other reasons appoint me to Dallas over ten wins as a Bet Stif as Jonas.

"From the Vegas Strip. Here's J.. Straight out of Vegas here on Fox Sports Radio Jonas stocks in for RJ bell alongside. Steve. Fezzet, we will take you all the way until seven. PM. Eastern time here on Fox sports radio. It is the final non NFL weekend of the entire year. So Fezzan, I, will do what does best and he will preview two teams not one but two multiple best bets. You name it money making opportunities and he typical shenanigans here on Fox Sports Radio Ladies Gentlemen de Broadcasts Professional that is Steve as it blossoming before very years. Jonas, how excited argue to finally have the NFL back here next week I can hear it in your voice. Thank Christ, they something normal. Where everything's been abnormal the past few months something normal. We're going to get the NFL starting in September. It's going to start on time I don't care. There's fans in attendance. I don't care how many teams pipe in crowd noise we're going to get the NFL on television and says, you know this is a better you don't need to be there in person all you need is access to a television and your laptop and you're GonNa be firing away picks throughout the course of the season you know with the red zone coverage I'm shocked anybody goes to a live NFL game anymore it is so much better just being in. Your living room or your son or your office watching all the games at once sites everybody remember that when feathers tries to sell you his season tickets to the Las Vegas raters, you remember what he just said he just doesn't diminish the value of his own tickets by telling you don't even bother just watch the red zone, but not that I completely disagree Fez but we will have plenty of time for the NFL. But let's get in the NBA now, I because we've gotta talk about what happened in the bubble last night in. Orlando between the Clippers and the Denver Nuggets that was a wipeout that game wasn't close Steve. Yeah. Denver I could argue just hasn't been the same since halftime game seven against Utah Joe, ingles hard foul Jamal Murray there and Murray did not look right Murray struggled in the second half shooting and it wasn't just Murray. The entire Denver team look like they were gas right Jonas during the entire game but Jamal Murray off he took control against Utah and here he was just passing two teammates. He looked less than one hundred percent to me what did you see? Yeah. No, they didn't look completely healthy or. I don't know if it was healthier. They just looked fatigue. They looked like they had put everything into that series because it's one thing. If you go seven games, it's another thing to have to win out to be down three games to one lead they were, and after rattle off that many wins in a row, it's emotionally draining. It felt like that was a natural letdown spot for them and the clippers got solid production and this is the frustrating thing about the La Clippers you look at them and you go. Okay, they may have the best player in the NBA in Leonard they've got deep bench. They've got a coach who's won a title before an coached in multiple NBA finals before and has had success at this level. So why can't they do this consistently and they've got to be one of those teams Fez whereas professional better you look at the clippers and you go God this team's maddening to have to try and handicap because you don't know what version of them you're going to get from one game to the next. Yeah and the Clippers the book on them was that they're going to jail at some point they've got all these the two superstars come in they add new pieces and there was a feeling during the summer camp. In Orlando, this team could get really good with everyone practicing, and then all of a sudden Lou Williams and company decided that summer camp was optional and they had five guys that weren't there during part of the time due to injury dacoven or due to personal issues, and it looks like the clippers. At least recently are finally starting to bond together and Jonas the clippers are now the favorite to win the NBA. Title Plus to ten. So you better one hundred on the clippers you only get back to ten clippers are the favourite well Fez let me just introduce you to the new world I. Don't know if you're familiar with this world but I'll I'll walk you through it here it's called hindsight twenty twenty betting to where after a result happens you go back and you claim of course, that's how that game played out. Now I don't know if it's ever GonNa win you any money. You probably need one of those back to the future biff sports almanacs to go back and Win All your pets if that's if that's the way you WanNa play it but it's called hindsight twenty twenty betting. So I will tell you this St Fezzet that in hindsight the clippers beating the nuggets and blowing them out is exactly how that game was going to go now did I place any money on it absolutely not why I don't have any money to bet on it but never mind all that. Here's the point Jamal. Murray. If you paid close enough attention to this, he told you how this game was going to go this was moments after their game seven win earlier this week when he was on with Scott Van Pelt on espn between now and Thursday what do you do? Thursday. Off. Thursday man. Well. That's a bummer. I mean fans. He was telling you what was going to happen now again I didn't do it but hindsight says he was one hundred percent correct. This is the spot. This is the to make. Did you hear that from Jamal? Murray if you didn't hear that how much more would you have put down on the clippers to win that game last night I did hear it and I gotta be honest I bet the clippers but. The point spread tax was high and the clippers. There are nine point favorite but I made a much bigger bet on Jamal Murray to go under twenty four and a half, there's a Wall Street expression. Jonas when a stock has been going up up up, trees cannot grow to the sky and Jamal Murray stock had become. So Sky with two fifty point games against Utah that everyone seemingly ignored. The fact that Joe ingles obliterated him and he was off on. The. Second half three for fourteen hobbling around you heard the quote didn't look like he was pleased about playing Thursday and clearly this was a I don't want to call it a business decision but Murray was not all out twelve points in game one year under twenty four and a half. One of the best bet you could make an actually I did give that one out to my client. So I was on top of that one I gotta to. Tell you following the Orlando Bubble Day in and day out and the pets like you can really find some nice bets if you dig in enough well, now you may look at it is similar to Wall Street and that's how you sort of equate things because you're on a different level when it comes to finance economy and things like that that I, am I look at like Okay Walking through a casino in Vegas and you're just mangled you've been drinking. All Day you've been by the pool and you happen to see Roulette Board and the way my mind works is art of its hit black or read like ten to twelve times in a row. The first thing I'm doing is going the opposite because I go Lov averages. What's what are the chances this can happen again so I would have applied that to joe-marie and said what are the chances he's going to have this bonkers performance like he's at. All these other games in the past and I would have won but again, I, didn't have the balls to make the pick. So this is a hindsight twenty twenty bet and I'm telling you right now if we made that a feature on the show to where I could tell you what was going to happen in a game after it happened, I could make some people a lot of money Fez telling you that right now a whole lot of people could. Do that and in fact, whenever I got a text from someone who tells me Hey, this was one of my biggest bets I made all year. Fez. I cast it I always text back. No past posts don't tell me before the game. I don't WanNa hear about a fair enough. All right. So Steve as Jonas knocks in for Rj Bell here on Straight Vegas last thing on clippers nuggets. So you mentioned the La Clippers and their NBA title odds what. Are the odds on this series as a right now, if you wanted to get gutsy or some would call it dumb and bet on the Denver Nuggets what would the pay out be based on what we saw last night in Orlando you can get twenty, two, one on Denver one dollar makes twenty Jonas. But if you feel at this series is already over, you can bet the clippers you can risk fifty dollars, get this to win one dollar so like. The clippers are fifty to one in this series. Yes, they are so vegas as saying. Jamal Marin company you can just go home right now this series is essentially.

"Because that can happen but not shooting time? Yeah. It was the least impactful game that I can. Recall CNN play in a long time to where he just didn't really have much of an impact and we talked about the free throw shooting as well too. So look he missed eight free throws that would come up big and been huge down the stretch of that game. had he made his free throws I. The year and he's the MVP he's got to put up a better performance if they're going to win games, I would just I lean more towards where you're at I. Think it's a bounceback spot for Jaanus and I find it impossible for him to only APP twelve shot attempts this game. So Fez, you actually have a prop bet on this gap. Yeah. So I like to go under the thirty one and a half or has over under. Points yes. Total points and it's all about Miami's defense on Janas they have absolutely built the wall kept him out of the paint and Janas has gone under that number four straight games against Miami. Okay. That's fascinating. So you're saying if you go back the last four games for individual games Miami against Milwaukee and said, how many points to is score he hasn't scored over thirty one and a half in any of those four. Yes. So why? Why would you go over here? Well, maybe why would be he wants to make a statement. But I don't agree with that meaning I think John is isn't the type to make those statements which might be part of the problem. Right. Jordan. He I mean there's famous stories when he was with Washington. That literally and I just watched it, I can't remember it was way after the last dance, he scored eight points one game and Doug Collins was the coach and it was the first time Jordan had scored in single digits. Since, his rookie year I mean it was some crazy number and the whole you know the whole country was talking about it Doug Collins didn't know. Apparently Jordan new, but he didn't say anything. Jordan put up I think it was fifty and forty five the next two games I was shot a lot. But the fact is out in need to make that statement even after six titles even after being crowned the greatest of all time, he was the goat before you went back. To Washington and played. Yawn is not being like that makes me like your bat. Under Janas thirty one and a half or games or points in this game. But it also makes me is inclined to like Milwaukee to win the title. because. He doesn't think in these terms and it's feels like the guys that put you on your show. This Kobe thinking those terms he did does think about the winners Lebron doesn't really you know what Lebron's been a massive disappointment entitles. Look at his career stats him and Karim I think one day will be one in two and when it comes accumulated stats. That's amazing. But in this country in this society, it's about titles right or wrong. And Lebron thinks. In a broader strokes seems like Michael's thinking I want to pick up that championship, the Ad, whatever it takes I'm not worried about the other stuff. Do you guys agree with me and Jonas I'll start with you. Do you feel like if Jordan's on one side? And Lebron on the other Janas on the Bronx side of the street what do you think more? So right now for sure that's that's been the big knock on him and some people even on the defensive end. That's why Jimmy Butler was asked are you surprised that you didn't want to switch on you more and He feels like he's getting called out at this point in his career up to this point in his career he's more on the Lebron side for sure he and my question is. have. You ever seen a player that changed. In this fundamental way, they always say that if you raise a kid that you see him do something to her do something at age six. And then when they're thirty, six, hear parent go you know I knew you were like this ever since you? Dropped your cookie and that swimming pool and still eighty or that was just with me and my by the but the fact is. If you've watched your kid grow up or even a cousin or. We even think about yourself. The things you feel in those quiet moments are often very similar. It's at same voice in your head. Your own voice that you've heard when you were ten years old. I just don't know Jonas if anyone changes that fundamentally do you think they do I. Don't know that he'll ever I mean he's never going to get to the job. Side of all the way over as far as competitiveness and wanting the ball and just that dog attitude I don't think he'll ever get to that point I think he can improve on it but I don't think we're ever going to see just a complete one eighty. Jordan in December of two, thousand, one, it was the twenty seventh. So two days after Christmas he scored six points. With his with Washington next game fifty, one game after that forty five. This. Over under with you on is under thirty one and a half is your bat would be terrible if it was Jordan even at the numbers up, you know 'cause joins numbers might have been thirty three and a half year. Right? You didn't WanNa bet under that not at all, and maybe that is why Milwaukee. If you look at their season stats, they should be a big favor to win the title. They're not I think John is is potentially the reason and you know what? He's the reason they're season stats are so to. That's the paradox last thing on the series. For now, Jimmy Butler, he seems to be a guy that. Is a secret undercover if you don't follow the closer Yo know. But an Alpha beyond, let's say what a casual fan might think Jones and a lot of the Philadelphia behind the scenes stuff seems be about him being such an Alpha in it being a conflict with embiid and Simmons and just that organization. Do you agree with me Butler very well in the next couple of years could emerge in even sooner as that Alpha for the wider public? Yeah. He in Chicago he had that reputation in Minnesota reputation. There was a lot of talks that you know he was too hard for guys like Karl Anthony towns just didn't didn't respond well. Andrew Wiggins who just didn't respond well to that sort of just blunt brutal honesty he's a throwback player. He came up the hard way and when he got to Miami the thought was well, you know what's this move all about but they've really embraced his his attitude and their their hard work and and work ethic as a team that Pat Riley's instilled in them, which is the complete opposite of what you think about when you think of Miami beach there the complete opposite of that they are a grind it out team they focus on defense Jimmy, Butler has been a perfect fit. and Jimmy Butler told his teammates before game. One guys just to let you know I'm going to shoot this game go and jordan-esque. He was only supposed to score about twenty points and he doubled that in the game. See if we only had that network of MOS in every locker room I mean it would be you know make sure didn't break any laws or anything, but still that would have been sweet. Yeah I'm anxious to see the series right now by the way would is the series price Miami's up one. Oh And if you haven't seen it, think a second. Do you think Miami should be favored in the series? Should Milwaukee still be what's the price? Milwaukee's favorite minus one, eighty, five, sixty, three, percent chance Milwaukee wins the series. That viewers, right. You know you know a numbers right when you could say, well, then you stop and you could go. And then you stop and then you sit down. and. Then when you stand up and say, Hey, Mimi, that's when you like right and in this one I think the numbers about right do you agree that's about right I do agree because remember him walk. He's got one of the best regular seasons in the history of the NBA and if you take away..

"The math on the net margin was over under in the Denver. Utah series. I did we didn't quite get there was still plus five per game to the over. But when when did that, you do the math I did it this morning and then I did it again just now. So what you're saying is literally without me saying, so your instincts went to let me add it up for the series to see if I can any way make the case I was right all along. Is exactly what I was trying to do, and the fact that you were wrong by thirty five points collectively. Did that slow you down at all but the pace? I'M RJ Vo Straight Out of Vegas Jones did you learn anything from all this? What I learned is that Fez isn't happy with just winning the bet last night he wants to retroactively go back in time and also win as bad city lost earlier it. Reminds. Me Of the Great Line for the Sopranos Already Buco who was Tony's childhood friend is talking to a priest about something Tony Dead. And Pre says he make you question that if he does he does this make you hate him hate that man he goes. He makes me hate every man. That Tony made already so mad he didn't just hey tony hated humanity FAZ doesn't want to win his bat. He wants to win every that he ever made cause any loser invalidates you at the at the level of your soul. And it cost me money. More importantly. So think about it guys. There's probably a lot of you. That's thought wouldn't it be great to be as it? I'd have to put up with RJ and that relentless logic and battering, but I could live in a mansion. Be Famous. But imagine every game you lies it felt like your mom and dad was saying I don't love you. Where's on a man? Doesn't it save? It does especially when you're playing unders and both teams are hitting almost fifty percent of the three point shots on your some of your biggest bets of the year Jonas I wonder if someone did a study of the words, he spoke that somehow the percentages that somehow Denver should've went over has been forty percent of his words in the last week. I think. What was your takeaway from the I mean do you think the Denver has any chance an extra? No I don't think they have any chance I. think the clippers are to the fact that Jamal Murray after the game didn't even realize that they're playing on Thursday. He didn't find out until he was talking was Scott Van Pelt on ESPN, and then he looked like he was disappointed that they were playing because he thought they had two days off. The Fed that to me is maybe a little bit troublesome to where this game one they might be in some trouble I think they might get a game or two, but I still like La. With I've seen in maybe this is the. Portland example. So fresh my mind but when there's a team. that. It seems like they should be fatigued in between series. They tend to muster that first game a lot of energy. And they have surprisingly good performance and it's game who were they tend to fall flat in it's really an extension of the same concept that happens with injuries. Let's say there's a big quarterback that goes down that first game. You usually want to bet on that team, the quarterback losing team why? Because the other team takes a Brat? Or fine quarterbacks out and end a team with a quarterback out tens of say, Hey, guys that's rally together and do it. In a play well, and then what happens the opposing team says, Hey, we gotta take them seriously. The other team takes breath and boom. It reverses if I had a bad. EITHER THESE FORCE BAD ON DENVER GAME ONE CLIPPERS BATUM game too from today. I mean or vice versa clippers game one denver game too. I would much rather go with Denver doing wow unexpectedly in this first game, what do you think makes a whole lot of sense let me ask you about Jamal Murray at the end of the first half he had a collision. With Joe Ingles he was not himself in the second half clearly looked banged up and in fact, Denver at fifteen point lead that they gave away completely in the second half with Murray now look I. I'll send. Let's This has been a roller coaster series. So I think the question becomes and I'll be candid when you say something like he didn't look like himself. You're saying quiet Leonard was shelved himself last year in the second round. When he led the team to a championship, you recall that crack. wincing seemingly every time he came down from jump no no no, that's not it. He wins once and you talked about is seemingly every day but that is very different than he seemingly was wincing every time. We. That's what we do is humans. We put narratives on things how we're Murray stats in the second half. He rain for any I do not have a second. He struggled mightily economic like I said I know you're adjectives or something that you exalt. I just said this agile I'd like to hear the number. So let's do this. Let's take a break. When we come back, we'll talk about how Murray actually did anything else about that clipper series and then we keep on going tonight we got a big one Houston. Okay. See game five that's coming up next he's RJ.

"A full hour here on straight Outta Vegas absolutely, and today's your day of come up. Because your little crack about okay. See I just think the gambling gods I'm not a particularly religious man I was brought up Catholic. I think the gambling gods being okay. See and for those who aren't close listeners of the show, what you missed was after game two of this series. Jonas making a very sardonic comment about okay. See and Houston because I had. Okay. See Jonas had Houston and man was he being smug now listen there's probably only six people on the planet the picked up on it because he was very subtle but is why don't you admit to the country? You're taking a veiled shot at me after the second game it was some comment like well, you know there was a lot of people liked. o'casey but Houston's two. Oh and the it was something like that. Would you agree? Yeah. Now, I wasn't meant in any sort of a insulting way put somebody has to play the villain. If we're going to treat this as a professional wrestling organization, I will gladly be the villain and say I was smug and I'm damn proud of it. But remember now Joan is the villain is covered by one of the all time great villain fast. Friday that is true. Yeah. I. Will say this. If okay, see wind. Eight no. In the first round I. Don't WanNa make a big deal about it but perfection. So I got a feeling. Fez. We'll talk about this game. Now you actually have a best bet on this guy do. So before the end of the hour, we're talking about that I think though Jonas Jonas to lead the show it's gotta be that game. Seven. Yeah we sat. And and it bears. Repeating. And I think I was actually when we were having a technical problem so maybe it does need to be repeated. Clippers. Right now over the nuggets ninety, three percent to seven. So as amazing as at Denver win was in the series was doesn't look like a great chance, but we should enjoy what happened in that game seven. Yeah. There wasn't a lot of points that were score between the two and that was good news for you guys here on straight. Outta Vegas Eighty to seventy eight the final the Denver Nuggets move onto the next round of the western conference playoffs after they take care of the Utah Jazz in seven games last night in the bubble. Okay. Now, this is for again for the regular listeners of the show. This is a great moment. Because fantastic and had a research pregame.com Mackenzie rivers. were both like fighting the gods the entire series on the over under. And literally. Game, after game when the scoring was through the I mean through the mountain tops into the sky they kept saying you it was hard. It wasn't a cogent argument they would make. But you'd hear like things like sample size and then you hear things like pace pace is slow and all you see is loss after loss on their under bats. And what I want to understand Faz when it came in. So. Many points under. So the final score was. Eighty to seventy, eight, one, Fifty, eight. So one, hundred, fifty, that wasn't the first quarter or the first half is. Asked. How much did you do about? You know something this Valla dates me that if you you know and in the real question I've got is, did you add up the series over under net margins? To get a feel like actually it went under for the series. First of all, did you do that calculation I did not do it, but I gotTa tell ya RJ. My first reaction was anger that they miss all these shots and game seven couldn't they have like spaced it out and miss some of the shots and games five and game six games. I also played under an and lost the total by about ten points to really what you're saying is you felt exactly what I was talking Abou but. Didn't you wanted to find a way to go back in history and somehow get paid? I mean somehow even though I was just saying that you didn't care about it validating you you're like, is there any way to pay me on those losing bats because somehow game seven proves right before which is convoluted. So you got this is the trap you just follow into you thought you were validated but no, you just got paid one bat, right? One to on my under the last three games. So that's that's a tough way to make try to make a profit from yes and did it at any point dawn on you? That somehow some way I reverse course one hundred and eighty degrees, and also had the under I listened to the show yesterday and you heard my play on the under and you'll immediately stop stops the day before. So yesterday was Tuesday on. Monday I said I you were sitting right here. Vacant look in your eyes. But you still right here and you said you were like, what are you thinking about for Sunny? I said, well, I'll tell you this. I'm on the under. And you go. World is maybe I'll make a bat and then literally at the end Monday show I said, if as doesn't have the out, have it, which was like listen guys not winning near as much as me. Let's let them have first crack at this. You probably never had this experience. But if there was one guy, let's say in high school that the ladies like and there's his body they don't. If that's you in this case is if the body likes a girl crush a room, they see what do I do in that case or in this case, the star or your the Wing Man Hell? No no, it's so much you go for it. Take a crack at it, and then I'll glance over every thirty seconds and when you fail, I would then stop up. So to me it was me saying fads if you WANNA have a shot at this I'm telling you the right side so if you want to like. What's it called on twitter when you validate or it's like a plus one? Plus one this go ahead. Do you think I heard your analysis and you know he makes a good point I'll go under. Is that what you thought happened now you you liked the under in this game absolutely and you followed me. I think I was yes but I would have played it anyways. So last question. McKenzie. Graduated Yale. You're more physics northwestern. You don't have an advocate die. So I mean, it's a battle. Did. You do.

"Oh, not the prettiest game, but it definitely was exciting. I, felt like, I, was reliving the emotions right there. Watching Open. What's going on everybody welcome into I take Stephen a Smith Max Kellerman on molly rose. Gentlemen let's dive right in the nuggets finished the job they move onto the semi, the face, the clippers in a three two matchup. A low scoring affair came down to the wire talk to me. Well first of all the Denver coming back from the deficit, they came back from even though they almost blew the game I'm just talking about how they were down in the series and they ended up winning three straight Jamal. Murray was absolutely sensational a game for five and six game seven give Donovan Mitchell a lot of credit. He d him he wanted that assignment he knew that he wasn't flowing offensively. Primarily due to pure exhaustion. No question about it because he's a killer, but he was exhausted we could see that in the end Mike Conley junior ended up being a disappointment considering what you acquired him for and how much of an elite back court This was supposed to be how much of an upgrade he was supposed to be a place, a Ricky Rubio who was there prior to his arrival but the bottom line is does Denver was a more complete team. They were able to hold on. Jamal Murray did just enough the joker thirty and fourteen showed a big time in the game seven. They showed the immaturity when they stripped Donovan Mitchell and got to turn over instead of holding a ball and getting fouled up to just having to go through the free throw line and seal the deal. Instead what they did was they went up court they pushed up court Jamal Murray passes it guy misses the layup and they had they still had a last chance but Mike Conley couldn't drain. The three the three at the end of the game, and obviously that's why Denver ended up surviving in the appropriate word is to survive I, think the better team won I think the more complete team one of it was just sad to see. Donna. Donna Mitchell. So so gas. So out of it, it really was a shame you would've liked to have seen him be a bit more energetic have a little bit more energy that was not the case and I think ultimately that's what ended up costing Utah because he was a one man wrecking crew and in the end he didn't have the help that he needed, which we all predicted would be case pride to the game. Well first of all, my hat's off to these teams and especially the two stars, Jamal Marine Donovan, Mitchell they were exhausted. That's why everyone was coming up short both teams. There were a lot of ugly shots even when they had open looks and bunch of tired legs for obvious reasons and of course, you can't predict this stuff 'cause going into game seven after the show Donald Mitchell Jamal Murray put on you would think what are they gonna eat score a billion points what's going to happen here and of course, they're both not only flat offensively but Jomo made a really bad mental error at the end of that game. To noxious dribble out the clock and probably right get fouled and then you have one shot and you're guaranteed you're going overtime. You hit to the game is over and the Games. Probably over anyway. So that was a bad era Mike Conley. Shop was like, maybe not halfway maybe a third of the way and a quarter of the way it before it came back out. They got my comedy right Stephen as for these kind of moments and these kinds of games that's supposed to be a great backward the truth about Carleen one of my favorite players I love my calmly he's been underrated for a long time the team including in this series function better without. It did. Donovan Mitchell, I gotta say the biggest takeaway for me. The biggest one is Donovan Mitchell, willing his team back into it in the third quarter he didn't have it offensively. But in the third quarter, he started getting buckets because that's what his team needed and then for him to take the defensive assignment, he did and to play that level defense in a game like this was huge I was very impressed with him. Obviously, go bear was a beast in the second half and Yokich was also like the two supporting characters mean support on the team. Really. been plead huge parts I. Come Away from this game looking at Donovan Mitchell in thinking that is a championship caliber player. He didn't have it offensively willed his offense will his team back into a game like they were about to get blown out in will come back and then played the defense and if and if calmly shock goes down, we're having a different conversation right now. Max Kellerman I gotTa tell you something and I want and it's more of a rhetorical question. But in some sense, it's not here's what conclusion I'll share with you about Donovan. Mitchell I. Think the second comment, a two point Oh version of dewayne Wade has arrived wage. That is what I believe when when I look at Donovan Mitchell. Obviously you know Dwayne Wade didn't really focus on this three point shot. We know that Donovan. Mitchell stroke. We know he's not scared of the big moment. I think if it were not for for fatigue got to talk who I thought we would have seen them take over and obviously would have required more from Denver in order to win this game but I think de way two point Oh, has arrived. This dude has that conduct potential he is something special make no mistake about it which by the way, Max absolutely sickens me because we know that the New York Knicks could have drafted him I was on the radio show you. CAN CHECK IT in New York City when nobody was really thinking about Donovan Mitchell because he was coming out of Louisville and you didn't know where this guy would land I was screaming in new. York about how Phil Jackson needed to take Donovan Mitchell and instead he drafts Frank Neale. AKINA. Okay. Don't get me started every time. I see. Donovan Mitchell depressed because I know he could have been a New York knick if somebody up there was doing their job instead of stealing money from. James. Dolan for four years. Now having said all of that we've got Mike Conley Mike Conley I need. We need I remind you maxi was late coming? To this series. Okay. He missed the first two games the first game three and four that he played. He had twenty seven first game. He had twenty six second game game six he had twenty one shot one for seven and a fourth quarter last night to for thirteen overall just finished with eight points incredibly debilitating considering his resume in postseason play for all of those years he was a memphis grizzly. The do showed up and played really really good. Basketball wasn't a star. But damn show of played really good ball OJ's he was playing with Markelle Saul and those boys in. MEMPHIS. I certainly expected better from him. I think had they gotten better from him last night they might have won this game unfortunately that's not what happened. That's what you walk away from with Utah has if everything Denver they survived they've got the athletes but they relatively young and they've made some young mistakes that no way in hell it will work against the Los Angeles Clippers. Very slightly better and they win like Conley whatever like I love comedy I think he actually was just an unsung one. To me, he's like he's have. Chris Paul right like he's the guy you would want in terms of the way he organizes your offense and how he agree with that big moments in everything he can do and everything he could do for your team, right? That's the way I thought of conflict whatever else I thought the team function better without him in many ways tell you the truth including in this series but. This. Much better if that shot drops in, it almost did. You Tie. Like that. It's a game of inches I. Want to talk about Donovan Mitchell, Dwayne Wade. He's smaller. He shoots the three better obviously, but I love the comparison. dwayne Wade people forget when they beat Dallas when he had shack. That performance in the finals between Michael Jordan's performance in the finals and when Lebron James became a great finals performer finally. no-one had his final good as Dwayne Wade no one think of any star you want Dwayne. Wade. Had the best finals between Jordan and Lebron was an incredibly clutch and great player at his very best. Donovan Mitchell looks like he is made of the same stuff I totally. Agree. He definitely looks like he's made.

"So STAN Van Gundy is in with us and we've got a surprise for him in a half hour, but we've got nuggets for your face. I'm assuming we gotta get that imaging. So that STAN Van Gundy can put his hot basketball nuggets in your face. He does it every week year on the show. I believe it's the only segment that he has that his popular. Eight used to be well, STAN Van Gundy streetwalker was something that was very popular. But then the climate change, and we couldn't do it anymore. It was just people shouting from a car, you know, wanting basketball information, it was a lot of fun, but we can't do it anymore. I was cat calling him. Hey, baby. Hey, baby. Tell me about Kevin loved ability to bounce back from that injury. That's so does does this week have a theme. Stand your basketball nuggets it does because of Fred Hoiberg firing in Chicago a little Paul. One person on the radio who supports coaches. Is that what you think every coach analysts defense coaches? You don't have some sort of private real estate here now. But it's just us, and it's not it's not anybody else in the media. That's for sure. Okay. You just are out here. One time. I'd like Van Gundy or someone of Gundy's elk to kill a Fred Hoiberg after he gets fired and say man, he was terrible. Just one damn time. I want one of you guys from the fraternity to take out another guy from the fraternity. Yeah. Like like, you guys all do. You said the magic we're playing well, just because you know, see Clifford they're five hundred. That's not right. Well, there was a while. You're not you don't follow him. So you don't know they're playing very very well. And I've taken out every host in America. You getting me. I don't follow them Stana clauses near all the Orlando James in a Santa outfit, and he's got more basketball credibility than you. Do he'd have played the same game against some for fifteen straight years. How to magic fans feel about you stand because you ran you presided over a pretty glorious time in your best time in basketball. I would imagine. Yeah. And I think, you know, most of them pretty good feel pretty good. But you know, I'm sure there's some like like everywhere who are happy that I'm was gone too. So you know, I mean. But I would say generally pretty positive. All right. So here we go. This is the theme of coach protection that Sanjay Gandhi. Throw your needs every fired coach that ever has been fired and basketball Stanford Gundy will rush to their defense. So these are we are not as infused about these half and half hearted nuggets. As we normally I'm not giving this. The buildup deserves sabotaging it before it gets started. Here is the third best coaching defense nugget from Stanford gun. Oh, I need the imaging. I I'm sorry. And now time with STAN goodies top it'd be a nuggets Sony Wednesday show. The biggie. Okay now. Mike wanted to make sure I got to that quality production there digit without order. There is chaos. The third best basketball nugget from STAN Van Gundy is well Fred Hoiberg struggled due to injuries to three of his top six players. Even success is no measure of security, at least four coaches since two thousand and two have been fired less than a year after being named coach of the year. Rick Carlisle, Mike Brown, George Carlin, Dwayne Casey. Rape point. The second coach defending nugget from Stanford Gundy is twenty four games may seem quick to fire a coach but five times in just the last ten years coaches have been fired in the first eleven games led by Irwa and firing by the sons last year three games into the. He was terrible terrible..

"Now time for STAN van Gundy's top NBA nuggets only Wednesday show. The bendy. Stan Van Gundy has had theme related nuggets. The last couple of weeks is this theme related or is this just a hodgepodge of free flowing nuggets. No, it's theme related again. Then. All right. Well, what are the three nuggets? Well, our theme today is NBA centers. And we'll start with a blast from the past the four fifty point games already this season from NBA players. Got me looking at the history of fifty point games in the NBA. Michael Jordan is second in NBA history with thirty one fifty point games. But the man who is I will Chamberlain had forty five fifty point games in one season one hundred eight as in his career wealth the stealth. Thank you for being useless as number two. Stan. Niccolo yokich. The Denver Nuggets center is currently tied with LeBron James for seventh in the NBA in assists at seven point seven a center has not been in the top ten in assists. Since Wilt Chamberlain was second in the league fifty one years ago. Joker and Wilton stealth that and the number one nugget from STAN Van Gundy this week is I'm gonna go with one of my former guys here last year. Andre Drummond became only the second player in the past twenty six years to average fifteen points and fifteen rebounds in season. Now, he is on pace to become the first player to do it in back to back seasons. Since Moses Malone forty years ago. Rahman maolin. Can you guys? Can you guys? Find for me. The worst fifty point scorer in the history of the sport teric rose. Is it Willie Burton Willie Burton willy Lertrat Tracy Murray? Who was a bench guy at his whole career? Got fifty actually the timber wolves have a bunch of weird fifty point scores mobile. Did it recently Derrick rose just did it and Corey brewer who I didn't think was capable of doing? It has a fifty point game. Maury brewer has a fifty point game. Wait a minute. He does not. Who did he get fifty against an guy guard named should be out of the league? Okay hero. Put on the poll. Blades is Mike. Ryan a dirty liar by claiming. That brewers still scored fifty Darren Williams. Tarran williams. Williams was good now for a long time. Well, what's the most surprising that Dana Barros Alonzo Mourning? I I was there for those fifty it was against George Mira sun and Zo just kept running down the middle of the floor. Could not catch me. It was pretty bad. This one certain make sense Corey brewer scored fifty one points against the rockets in two thousand fourteen Corey brewers are shooting guard. It's offensive matchup. When James harden? Mike, would you be kind enough pleased to find for us Kevin Mikhail talking about how it is? The James harden went about getting him fired at every turn we will play that after this twenty three and me add we will play for you that sound of Kevin Mikhail talking about James harden on defense. I just want to make sure everyone knows that saints made an argument potentially for James harden being out of the league. That's right. That's what just happened. This. Hold that sun. Let's sell some ads. We will get to that sound of Kevin McHale telling what it was like coach James harden on defense in a second. I think smoking always affected my daily life because I was a closet smoker. It really sort of controlled my entire day. My boss is the one that recommended jewel. So I decided to give it a try. You don't get any of the odor of smoking. There's no ash all over your car..

"For stamping goodies, top NBA nugget, Sony Wednesday show. The thing. Yeah. Wow. That did not hold up. All right. How many of these nuggets are there? Are there three nuggets are more nuggets than that. No, just three. Always three. Okay. Three days I'm rusty. You are rusty, you're aging also. So the NBA is changing rapidly as we know there were several significant changes in the five years between the two thousand twelve thirteen season. And last year, the first is the pace is considerably faster and scoring is up. There were ten and a half more possessions per game last year than there were in two thousand twelve thirteen and scoring went up by eight points per game per team. Number two. Slow down, slow on, hold on. We need absorb it. When you go, you gotta get you gotta be prepared for mind to be blown. Everyone needs to slow down. So that was the third one. And let's slow down here because our pacing isn't quite right here. The second hot NBA nugget that stand vein Gundy is going to stick in your face is. Well, everybody's talked about the three point attempts and it's true. Three point attempts are up forty five percent and only four years. Five years ago, teams averaged twenty five years ago teams average twenty three point attempts per game last year. It was all the way up to twenty nine in twenty twelve thirteen. There were twenty three guys in the league that average to made threes per game. Last year fifty. Eight guys made at least two threes per game. Whoa, whoa, I am delirious. I is are spinning like a kaleidoscope collided scope spin. Yes, somewhere in there. All right. And finally, the greatest of the nuggets from this week according to stand Van Gundy is. Well, and this one doesn't get talked about as much, but the best players simply don't play as much as they used to. I've talked about this for the last couple of years last year LeBron James led the league averaging thirty six point nine minutes per game, five years prior to that fifteen guys played more than that in the league last year only nine guys played.

"In ten minutes, we are going to put Dan van Gundy's hot basketball nuggets in your faith. That's going to happen. Ten minutes from now. I want though before we get to that before we get to, I'm gonna make STAN and the audience laugh with these grudges that he holds. He holds these grudges across years and decades in a way that is funny. So we'll get to that in a second, but the timber wolves and that story that's do God's was reading. Can you give me the best thirty seconds? You got on that timber wolves situation with your friend, Tom Theban though, with the understanding that you're not going to repeat any of the things that you said on get up last week when you were asked about it. Well, I probably will repeat it. It's the same thing. I mean, people have made this out to be such a unique situation in reality, all thirty teams in the NBA have something similar going on. Disputes between players, players not like in coaches or management distractions going on. That's a big part of the business approach sports and how well you can put those distractions behind you win. You get on the quarter on the field to play has a lot to do without successful. You're going to be. I don't know what's going on here. STAN and he may be Dan is rusty. I have no idea. But have you noticed that he's putting you in these small thirty second windows to give a point? This is STAN Van Gundy Wednesday. I've been trying to get him fired for four years. He's finally here. It's finally arrived out the man and just let them go, right, but I'm full court pressing him because I demand a, I want him in shape and the warriors aren't in shape Steve Kerr's telling you the warriors just started the season and they're not in. Shape. I want STAN Van Gundy and playoff shape, and I wanted to happen quickly. So the silliest thing that it's made its way into your locker room. You don't have to name names, but that has made its way to your desk where you're like, really? You guys are fighting over this. This is a problem in our organization. Yeah, we actually had a problem because it was actually when I was a college coach, we had a guy borrow another guy's car and get in a Fender bender and they came down to the level of, you know, okay, you pay for the car. It's all it should be. But you know, one guy felt like the other guy didn't care about him and you know, didn't respect him. And we ended up with this huge team meeting where we were like Baring our souls. It was like the Barney song. I love you. You love me were happy family and I couldn't take it anymore. I was innocent coach, and I just said, I started singing the song in front of an entire room, full of players and just said, like, can we get back to play in big, ten, basketball? These. What is big ten basketball has no time for your feelings come on. Let's go be better. So Stanford Gundy will join us Wednesdays during basketball season, but he is in a way that is really amusing and insufferable grudge holder. He has still not forgiven Charlie weis for saying many, many years ago, maybe more a decade ago. Although Notre Dame might still be paying him that he had a commit. He had a significant, wait a minute. What's the direct, quote, STAN. What? What is the direct quote on why early? Why sold his? Yeah. Every time they stepped on a field, he told his team, you will have a significant schematic advantage. So just an absurd comment, what nobody else can coach. So. We need players here. We don't even need players. It's just we're going to have such an advantage. You know, we'll win all the time which didn't happen by the way. Okay. No, that's right. Except that the Bank, but he's got another one. He's got another one that he's holding onto this. Larry fedora at North Carolina college football coach. Who do you remember the remember the direct every once in a while when when North Carolina loses forty, seven to ten, I got a text from Stanford Gundy with house our military going to react. This, he now that what is the direct quote from Larry fedora? I don't even remember it..

"Well i think want none of the problems you have his last year the nuggets were five games below 500 by the time they finally play three yokich than one at a sixty when pace this year the same thing happened somehow the exact same thing happened this year and they went through a month and a half of the season playing you'll get your power forward and my giving him half the touch as he deserves before suddenly realising all this was really dumb and actually i don't even know if they realize they that injuries occur that cata forced forced their hand and of course they rallied off their best fifteen games streak of the season so it is it's frustrating for nuggets fans too because i think everybody kind of sees that this is who they are who who they should be um but unfortunately they don't always play that way and when they do they they win and when they don't they they struggle yeah so i had number three i had over coaching as my third big problem inconsistent coaching strategy sort of falling under that category over coaching such a nice way to put it because it you know people always app i'm pretty critical of malone's decision and how he uses yokich i'm really not critical of him in a whole lot of other ways i think defensively does i think they i i question some of the stuff they do defensively but i do you know they don't have a lotta great defensive talent so there's a little bit of give and take their but also just the way he is as yokich everything else i think he's done a really good job they've the team has improved every year the young guys have developed you know murray harris yokich of all developed under him like he gets a b plus grade in my opinion like a very solid grade the problem is his one error or or his few errors are so loud and so toxic that they really cancel out a lot a lot of the the good stuff that he does so for me it's one of those things it's like man if he could just correct these little things i think the nuggets really could take off and i'm more.
