"We've heard no word of any severe home damage or car damage or any injuries to anyone people who were living in this general area. Say those who saw the weather take place last night say they were very surprised at how quickly everything happened in the level of damage that the tornado did leave behind now, the NWS the national weather service will be out in this area later this morning to survey the. Damage and determine how severe this tornado really was. But another weather concern as we are expecting more to come is flooding in some parts of some parts of North, Texas and Carolis Allen sky is live with more information on that Allen Kirsten, in fact will start the server that damage in Denton to the south the Argyle fire department says about a dozen homes were damaged by flooding. Nobody was hurt. But some residents say their foundations were damaged. They tell him be five. They think they're going to have to make thousands of dollars in repairs. The foundation is washed away below are retaining wall for the flowerbed is all demolished and the yard is about eighteen inches to lower than it was only buck house. The fire department even while people start to survey the damage there. They say more flooding is going to be possible. With more rain in the forecast over the next couple of days to the south west and eagle mountain lake. "And in grapevine, southbound one Twenty-one hall Johnson service road there is a semi sitting there in the left lane. Thanks to Jeff for that one. Most of the freeways are gonna see weather related delays in Tarrant county right now, Julian Rogers next report at five forty eight and breaking traffic alerts when they happen. The Lon Smith roofing stormcenter at tornado warning continues for Parker and Tarrant county throat right now to chief meteorologist, Dan Bruneau off. Hey, appreciate it been watching this storm as formed a tornado warning radar indicated formed just south of interstate twenty thirty there where they merge, they're in far eastern parts of wise county eleven seventeen when the warning was issued in the rotation is actually made it all the way to one ninety nine in the lakeside area. They're just east of as well, but I'm looking at ten eighty weather radar on what's called the velocity mode. This is where we see winds going towards away from the radar. But in the opposite direction they're supposed to be going. So that's how we know we see circulation greens and reds coupled together. And I'm sure you've seen it visually on on channel five but getting the rotation is broad now tighter when it was to south of Alito, no confirmation many touchdown there around the Lido area of monitoring the weather service chat room where all of the emergency officials meteorologist and storm spotters continue to. Communicate and we could use your help as well. You're driving call the traffic tip line. And they'll get the word out to us. And we can relay that here is in the years are very important. But please make sure you stay safe. Speaking staying safe stay inside the loop there on eight twenty one ninety nine they're just off to the south of the eagle mountain lake area. Lake worth is a good place to hang out this rotation broad rotation. Meaning the storm is starting the cycle again. So we might see this circulation tighten up, and that's exactly what's happening on the latest radar scan broad rotation between lake worth, and as will they're right on top one ninety nine this rotation heading right over eagle mountain lake just to the southeast. Pelican bay maybe two or three miles and this would be in the northeast northwestern. Parts of Tarrant county northwest of the outer loop eight twenty it will be the rotation and about eight to ten minutes. We'll be passing right over business to eighty seven. And highway two eighty seven that's a business to eighty seven. If you're new to the area runs just north of eight twenty three Saginaw, and it merges with two eighty seven that takes you all the way up to cater, of course, Amarillo. So the rotation now moving towards eagle mountain lake it's crossed over one ninety nine so safe travels heading up one ninety nine now to Azel it's gonna miss Brier. It's gonna miss Reno. It's gonna miss Newark Aurora and boy there on seven thirty one ninety nine so north eastern wise county toward spring town. You're fine. There will be some heavy rain around. But again, I'm keeping an eye on this rotation. It's starting to tighten up a little bit eagle mountain lake seek shelter avoid the area. If it continues on its same track. Right. We're business to eighty seven and two eighty seven merge their northwestern Tarrant county. That's it will be here. Next eight to ten minutes. Void that area has what he needs to be watching this storm telling right toward you between pecan acres and hasn't if it continues to show rotation, and it's looking more impressive now than it did three minutes or so. It will be moving into the south western parts of Denton county a little bit of in a rural area there. But that's a long one fourteen one fourteen west of the speedway west thirty five ws for this rotation will be right around six o'clock or so between Aurora and thirty five W. And then if it continues to head north east, which will Justin you're on the path of this also Argyll and Denton six fifteen or so because it's moving northeast at thirty to forty miles per hour. Let me check the weather service real quick. They have the storm spotters out in wise county, which I just said Newark Boyd Rome new Fairview. So they're watching this storm. I also have a storm spotter friend. That's going to be right. Smack dab just west of thirty five W there right around has let south of one fourteen and she's going to be watching this as well at a safe distance. And we can see if we can see anything getting reports now of rotating wall, cloud, a near the lakeside area. Remember, I was talking about eating amount and lake right? Just to the northeast sides of one ninety nine of your one nine one ninety nine heading north west of the. Lake worth area between their nasal. You're safe to go up that direction. Now it's getting over the lake right now. So we are getting reports again of a wall cloud. But no confirmation of touchdown, but again lakeside area eagle mountain lake please seek shelter immediately. And just got a Alan the clear for any kind of tornado developments, and we'll continue to keep these storms spotters on this storm looking at ten eighty whether writer switching modes to what's called reflectively. That shows you where the rain is. There's a little bit of a hole in the precipitation right overeager mountain lake east to Saginaw. This is good because storm spotters can actually see. Now, any kind of wall cloud or lowering before it was rain wrapped as it was moving up around the Alito area about twenty minutes or so ago. So if you're just joining us twenty a warning continues in effect until six o'clock wise county, you're out of it now, but northwestern Tarrant county northwest side, Saginaw lakeside. Pelican bay has let all of you need to be watching the storm very very carefully, especially at eagle mountain lake. Do not drive in that area. Hit you're safe zone. For listening to us on radio dot com. Watch out has let if this holds together eventually go towards Justin and hug thirty five W north of one fourteen sometime after six o'clock. So keep an eye on the storm Marshall creek trophy club. Argyle ponder, Justin and Denton. Even if this whole together all until about six twenty twenty-five there around Denton. That's where the rain is now long in west thirty five W north of interstate twenty a tornado watches in effect for everyone except for Rockwall and Kaufman county until eleven flood watch starts at ten tonight along north of I twenty this is just a sign of what's to come. I think all of us will get a break this vicious sell at a tear in Denton county, eventually towards the Red River about seven thirty. And then I think we'll get a little bit of a break this with a few scattered storms around, but another lines forming from Wichita falls right now down just off to the northwest of Abilene that may be impacting areas along north of I twenty after about nine or ten o'clock this evening through about midnight. And then we'll put the stuff to bed until tomorrow late morning through the day and through tomorrow evening, more severe weather, flooding rains widespread. Rain tomorrow. This is hit and miss. But we only need one more. Thing that could possibly do damage. Get nothing confirmed on the ground. Keep an eye on this for you last check at the chat room again. Just the wall cloud right now. But again, this storm is cycling. So keep an eye on this northeastern Tarrant county of southwestern Denton at least through six o'clock down. Thank you so much. Appreciate that. Now, keep it here on your severe weather station as we continue to watch this storm, and we'll be right back. The best way to listen to these radio. "And then I just feel like at that point, the veterans disabled they're going to, they're, they're going to get their service dogs that they need and they're not gonna get those is that they get when they walk into WalMart. Because a few weeks ago I walked in WalMart and I saw a service dog Dotson need a little hotdog. And he tried to bite Michael is walked by. I'm like, that's not a service dog. You should try to buy my ankle. So so that that that has to go away. And I'm sure you agree with that. I think there's there's such disparity out there in what a service dog in the minds of many is today that there has to be some uniformity there. So to be able to to to say, this is what we're gonna do to create that certification. Another element with this too. Whenever you transition say nowadays, a formal structure for us to recognize what a service dog is. The issue then becomes too. What about all the thousands of dogs that are already out there today that have a designation of a service dog they come in and get a valuated to where they can if you can or what you're going to have because if they don't pass the test, then clearly they shouldn't be a service dog anyway, that's the way I look at it as like if you're if you're dogs, bene- service dog for three years, you can't come in and demonstrate that it can do basic obedience and crowd environments or perform task for you. It was never. A service dog to begin. So essentially the canine dreamers that were asked. Well, and that's in. That'll be one of the things because there will be a lot of folks out there. They go. My gosh, now I have to do this my service dog. Are you going to decertify my dog? And now I can't. I can't, you know, bring it into certain area. So the whole idea of grandfather the whole idea of transitioning, you know, how long would you give somebody to do that? I mean, those are all things. Yeah, you'd have to. And, and also you know to to be mindful of folks out there that probably have a good dog that that you know maybe a little bit put off by now having to go through bureaucratic process to be able to do that. So I think big, you'd have to look at that and say, where where's the balance with that and give people, you know, a reasonable trans transition to be able to do. I think I think you look at it like a driver's license. I'm sure when the model t I hang out, driver's license didn't even exist. Yes. And then after a number of incidents and chaos ensued, they said, okay, we need a standardized system to show that everyone knows how to do this properly, and then they phased all those info and folks just need to understand like that's a I. I completely agree with you. That's a short term problem. Innocence it is and the service dog, this standardizing needs to be long term. And that's what people need to understand that this isn't just for this generation's right this just like the driver's license. Exactly. This is for generations behind that. You know that are falling behind us, so well. Integrate example is what happened in Virginia with people being certified, operate award aircraft to be able to operate a boat. You know, you went through years where yet place like Smith mountain lake, where there were tremendous number of accidents and people said, hey, you know, there has to be some kind of certification and make sure people know the rules of the road. You know what's out of a buoy DNA DNA gate on or how do you make sure you're not running into other vessels. So they put in place a a boat training certification that had to have an order operate a watercraft. What they did though is they said, hey, certain folks are grandfathered like a Waterman who's been on the water all their life and and could probably be teaching these navigation courses, you know, were grandfathered in or in some instances where allowed to go through for certain period of time before they had to get that certification..

What thirty years I mean this is not something new is gone for a while we're. At the very quick. Story is that in one thousand nine hundred eighty four there were a couple of gentlemen they, were graduates from Boston College Boston College graduates out. There and they ran lewke They, ran across the United, States they started in Boston. And went to UCLA kind of the original Forrest Gump if you will and they raised. A, million dollars for the, American Cancer Society took them. Eight months they took a year, off from their life in order to do it when they got LA they came back they were so inspired. By what had happened that they felt. Like they needed to do, something to continue the. Momentum so they started a charity swim and there was, nothing going on in the charity swim space there. Were other runs there were walks there were bikes. But nothing in the charities when, the space so in nineteen eighty-seven seven they. Put on their first charity swimming here's the. Here's the, ironic part to it that that run raised. A million, dollars that swim raised five thousand dollars oh by the. Way a sixty thousand dollar boats sunk you would think not a good idea to. Start off your charity foot which. Is we're going to put on, a boat and we're gonna, go neck five thousand But some Olympia and showed up and support them rowdy Gaines. Craig Beardsley names that we've heard and we've seen on television and so. They were inspired to continue on and. So through grit through perseverance on through bootstrap the organization is grown from there very humble beginnings to still being humbled. Today granting over five million dollars, a year and a kind of put that in context when. You think about organizations, like the v.. Foundation Susan G, Komen foundation which are granting somewhere in the. Twenty to twenty five million, dollar space swim across America please real. Vital role, at five million dollars a year we find well I'm not surprised that you would relocate to Charlotte Charlotte. Is, a hotbed for, competitive swimming I mean we've seen. Ultra swim and of course swim MAC over the years and we seen, big names come through here like Michael Phelps like Ryan locked he talk Michael Chadwick yes Our own Ricky Berens our own Michael Chadwick has son of, David Chadwick and talk to me about the actual competition itself is it competitive so our competition is the. Scoreboard in Farrah's that's how much, money do we, raise for the 'cause we don't publish the times I don't care if you.
