"I miss seeing people smile. You can't see. It's hidden. I'm looking more closely now and I can. You can see it in is right especially if you're. Like me, mean there's more wrinkles than you squid. and. I thrive on that and I didn't realize how much I missed it until I couldn't see it and sometimes that can go so far as we try to mend. Fences just to be better and more sensitive to your point P to each other. A smile can go up. Even words it's. Gesture such a long way, and it's it's it's is it's knowing that I understand I'm trying and I'm here a smile. It's really simple I think that's that's how we can begin right. Yeah, there's there's been an interesting. Kind of a new awareness that I'm I'm sensing in I, think our players were sensing and everybody that's operating through the. To the technology. That when when? are listening skills have been elevated because when when one person's talking in. You're sitting in a room. You're sitting behind him around side alongside them, and you can feel the energy to certain extent, but now when some one person's talking, they're all you can see, and and the expressions in and we I know we. We yearn to draw the emotion from from the our exchanges. Because we're. We lack at some were apart. It's it's brought us to a different sense of sensibility and empathy I think that. Because you, can you feel that one person telling and sharing their thoughts and their stories? It's been it's been really fascinating I think it's been substance brought broader. All of our guys working together throughout this last two months. We've been together on Zoom It's brought us closer and I'm really really grateful for that opportunity. Unfortunately the circumstances, but it. There's some new sensitivities force, and there's some new awareness for us that that will. Give us a chance to do better. Be Better. Get closer, love more. Love more deeply and it's. It's really exciting. To me. I'm so optimistic about the future in this country, and some people hate me for being a glass half full kind of girl. That's just how I always will be I think it's crucial. An especially now that you're ignoring the crack. That's out there, but there's still. Choose to look at that so I do think that there's so many silver linings can come if we all make make that decision because it truly is a personal decision, starts at home with with your your neighbors in your kids and see where the conversation just talking about the understanding by the way, Ryan Clark a friend of ours. You know former. NFL Player a friend of mine and he. He tweeted something really cool last week. I thought that was. When people ask to help and to listen, allow them to do it, and and don't well. You're not doing it the right way. You're not saying they're not apologizing. The right way drew brees. Stop Stop like when people are genuinely out there trying. Listen allow them to do that and so I do think those conversations again. It doesn't discriminate goes all ways as far as the really listening to each other, we all want to get better than it takes. Look Mirror. Listen you all have helped millions over the last several years, and but this was a different project and the audible original. So. If you pick one thing of the many that you hope, people take from this when they're done lessening one thing, what is the value of of doing the hard work to to? To Self, discovery stuff that I think that's there's so much value there, and and if you if people would just. Recognize that if you just do the work and stick with it, there's nothing academic about it that you can't handle. There's nothing to scientific. It's just doing the work to just keep asking yourself to the question of what do I believe in? You know what's important to me that that there's so much value that comes from that when you really declare and with you go through that process. That's I. if nothing else happens, that's what I hope. would. People would take from because again. We always find ourselves beginning with self-discovery, and we did again you in this, and and obviously with that, that's that's really the part that it's most important to me. To do is to give structure in a format where you can put handles to this invisible world of psychology. You know so that you can really get your arms around it and self-discovery, it's. It's a real process and there's no right and wrong. It just takes a commitment to understand the reason what there's five pillars that we worked from those in a minute, but. One of the reasons, this is so important is because once you know who you are. Nobody can take it away from you. Powerful. No external circumstances can ever strip you from it. End So. That part when you think about psychology in general, there are two basic parts of psychology. There's the discovery processes, and then there's the skill development and I think we've found that simple yet. Still deep integration between the two to be able to say okay, here's. How here's an accelerated for self discovery, and then you're the skills that you can invest in calm confidence focus trusting oneself optimism. All of that stuff, but the five pillars that we work from our self discovery. Mindset skills psychological framework. A framework is like. How do you explain yourself in the world? How do you explain events? How what's your outlook and then recovery practices? And then which is have sleep well and eat well and move well how to restore yourself, and then the fifth pillar is mindfulness. So, might long way of getting to what I hope. People Walk Away with is I'll say yes to you. Coach is that yes? self-discovery and A commitment to mindfulness. And I know that it is a buzzword in its popular. It's been around twenty six hundred years. Science is ridiculous. It is one of the great accelerators for people to live in the present moment more more often. And the present moment is so precious, because that's where high-performance is expressed in the most mechanical way, it's where wisdom is revealed, and it's also were all things that are good, true and beautiful are experienced, so I think our job is being human is our responsibility is to live in the present moment more often, but to do that requires a training of the mind. It requires a deep commitment to discovery, and mindfulness is one of those golden threads that. Is in accelerate to that path. CEO Much work we all have. We a lot of work to do. No! That's the thing is is. If it is. It's a beautiful difficult, but beautiful process and my hope for my children and my friends in strangers out there is that they don't take as long as I. have taken to figure out that it's right here on a silver platter waiting for me to come, grab it. Wait for me to do that. Work and Mike Light I saw this recently Andreessen a million times, but I saw recently. That you started..

No don't do that. I started it. Yeah we do we create ric flair. Woo Hoo so I would imagine. I'll never mind I was going to go on a whole brother. Rick Flair Angle ejecta going to different or exit black history month. You take out giving it to Rick Plan. Ric flair's didn't think. Yeah well talking to see Mike and Mike so Waleed White Mike light-skinned rule and look at Mahomed. Hey Hey buddy pretty good. Every y'all come around Jason comes around Padma home clay curry every now and then every now and then you know ever since Kim play movie is it's been different. The dusky scare brothers bit of rap. Ever since YEP exactly. The dodgers got Dutch. The light skin rookie Betty Light Skin Brown. He's not here yet right. It's not done yet. No it's not official fish. It's not official yet. They have one of the dodger prospects. Way Has a medical article issue that they need to clear up vertigo author. Chuck Michael here balanced. I'm just glad we could talk about baseball. The other one was making me a little uncomfortable. Nice Games lice. Game will you mixed me and you. That's usually what happens that what happened now. Go to beat together. light-skinned what was your honest doing yesterday. Picking Joel Embiid with his first pick. Let's add all of us a good pick because AD took a Lebron AD. So so the next best player probably is envied. It seems it seems like all the guys are on the east side of West guys are on the. What's the point after M B? Yeah you goes look at dodgers's on the table James Harden you'll look those guys it's basically West versus east with a couple of exceptions. The whole idea of this was to mix it up and get guys on different teams and it really didn't happen. What the real thing was visual of seeing them pick in because it gave you insight into who they think has the best player Blah Blah Blah? And of course the real sexy partisan who rose last. Yeah that's the most Airland asked you yesterday. elsia Michael the same question. He asked you right now right now. WHO's the best player in the NBA? You said Jaanus what's your answer. Michael is between John because he can't shoot. Lebron is let me Twain. Lebron coli those guys Ireland said Damian. Lillard can't defend. But I think I think he would just say dame because dame had a hot young. He doesn't offend a fan like why. So it's still run as either Lebron coack because the broncos and defend for forty minutes but he could he picks his sponsors got our say the same with Mike Mike it was probably Lebron. Probably Lebron probably the Brian to me. What the Hawaii is there? He doesn't defeat he's a prime spot. SPA Why didn't play every day. Say Lebron doesn't defend as much he picks is spots but didn't play every day. So isn't it Jaanus. Because he defends defends every day and he plays every day. I just think for me. y'All is's he takes advantage of his size which he should Lebron the Bra perceive rodgers can do more do more do more yeah. He's a better outside shooter but if he doesn't play defense everything you honestly. Every time I've seeing thirty five it was played in one thousand nine years. Give them a break els. You didn't ask me to give him a break. You get everybody racing the best player in the every time I see a guy in his seventeenth seventeenth season Yano. Every time I see honest. Everything is around the basket. Everything is within where should be for this is. There's no question. It's incredible skill set. We put the ball on the floor and he up and around. I mean he does some stuff with his lynch where you like. Oh he'll get to the cup and then all of a sudden gag. Google gadget warmed drops any because we'll give them three steps watch. How many times? He travels travel if they call it but he at the free throw. Oh Line pump. Fake up like on another planet is physically at that size to be able to do those guys so far hit him. That is a slander. The the reason I asked is because here we are. It's his seventeenth season in the league. He's in his mid thirty ninth and we're talking about it and it's not even even stretch at all to say that it's Lebron James. You know it's not. He is an absolute freak. But I've said it before and I'm gonNA keep saying because it's true. We need to change at the entire paradigm about how age correlates directly with the human body. We have just seen too many examples now across a multitude of sports in which science nutrition. And what we know about the human body has greatly helped a lot of people stick around the NFL is still dominated and a lot of ways. The guys who should be done done by non Turnkey Position You McCain Association Played Tennis Guy This ridiculous now twenty heroes can win a chip. Surface can't win a chip because two old guys young adults of thirty five. I mean so here we are in the NBA and yes the Branislav. It's a singular figure. That's very different from everyone else. But when you look at the larger scheme of things it's like I'm getting used to guys in their thirties. Make Thirties even still being among the top. I hear what you're saying. I think tennis actually is the best argument for what you're saying. Because when you're talking about quarterbacks quarterbacks the the the way the rules are set up right now it's much more about what I know than what I can do as a quarterback that's way Philip rivers and and these guys are able to survive and even thrive and Tom Brady's case because I I just know this game so cold and if I don't have to worry about the physical aspects of it as much tennis is still incredibly physical game that the those thirtysomethings are given it to twentysomethings which you go to the NBA. Yea and you look at Lebron. dwayne Wade is gone or mellow anthony is a is a guy that is not what he was a long time ago and Lebron is still a really really close copy to the best version of himself from ten or twelve years ago. It's extraordinary no. He is absolutely extraordinary. And he's putting the time. He's putting the time to invest in the money. Take Care of himself. A million plus a year party in the South beach all right so let's go to about thirty five thirty five retired trade deadline the Jerry Rice Jerry. Rice one to his natural out what I WANNA have extensive air converging on on the edge. It looked real bad. I was with him at the Super Bowl. When we played the raiders and he had the stitches I was at red lobster? Lost the desire. You wear no Larry Fitzgerald quiet. Jon John Total Anto Jerry. Jerry what the Hell you do it. Hey man come on man leave me alone needed to tell you I was trying to the Jerry no with the little tight chain around you and put the time in homage to mimic making by eight million. A year we use money Michael the WHO wants to work out no more hold on an NBA trade deadline day. Michael I have here.

"Guy. It's like Whoa Whoa. At least you didn't pick Jimbo Lino I I know but it's like Whoa. You and Megan King Edmonds must still not be on good terms right right right who everyone else pick only Tamra. I forget who Tamra said. I mean probably Bronwyn and Bronwyn deftly so Tamra did you ask did Vicky get asked this question. No she doesn't have out there for that. I feel like emily would not pick Gina. I feel like emily would pick someone else. She didn't answer neither to Gina and neither Channa. Shane would have been to please. Emily answered that question. Yeah well who would you pick. I feel like I would choose Kelly. Oh yes okay. I think she'd be a spicy edition in bed. Definitely I think Aaron would pick heck maybe Bronwyn. Yeah I would pick Bronwyn for sure and then I think Danny would pick emily. He loves emily. Yeah he has has really grown to love her this season. He's she's so beautiful. You look so good and whatever I feel like he would probably pick her cat. I would pay to see that. Well even though this is just a special bonus episode I think we should do Rosenthal born of the reunion. I like that specifically. Let's do rose thorns horns okay. So what was your rose. My rose is the fact that Bravo did not hold back when showing all of the Vicki craziness. Yeah I mean I I just I felt like they lifted the curtain more than they really have in the past and I don't think bad behavior should be rewarded did and it was absolutely not rewarded. was very true so what was yours. My rose was at the very end when they set their intentions going forward read that Gina chose to set better goals for her beauty and style. Going forward love the can own it. No more of those interview looks rights and the bleached hair right. What was your thorn? I think my thorn is just the the nasty way that Kelly Shannon and Tamra continued to go at each other and that there was no resolution for it Mike Light Thorn is that Bronwyn has to spend four to five thousand dollars a month on groceries. Yeah that Abby when she took a hell of when you think about the gluten free and the vegetarian and the be none I mean that is literally the price you pay for having that many children but like damn I not so much I would just make them all eat bone broth or something. You know Diana's.

You're turning into yeah. This is really I'll see my side. Oh no you're wondering if the show Jason Good friend he owns part of the company Mike Light well good friend of the show and a good friend of me. I'm not surprised you guys are friends. After yesterday's trade fiasco someone went undercover brother with the footage and they just like you went full Antonio Brown. You just recorded Jason's reaction action. Jason had no idea I'm GONNA put this up. That's great. That's illegal first of all. Whether you did is illegal now. I loved it. Oh and now you're Jon Gruden I'm in. It was great if you don't know what we're talking about. Are you going to put that up on Youtube on Youtube. Yeah I tweeted it out and I saw you re tweeted at mercifully instead of filing a lawsuit lawsuit against me. Yes today's show. It's perfect because today show's all about trades. We're GONNA answer a bunch of trade questions with some some big names. It's it's kind of the breather day over the course of the week we just reflected and did the waiver wire and talked about week to tomorrow. Friday into the matches for week three today. We've got some buy sell. We've got trade talk and so yesterday in our League of record I I just tell tell it how it is our League of records to three-keeper keep relief. This'll this'll be a peek behind the curtain right more. Antonio Brown talk wizard of Oz Peek behind the curtain but we basically have this league where there's a lot of draft pick. Trading people sell their future draft in order to acquire a big asset this year. There's three keepers in the league. The economy of this league is unlike most fantasy football league. We move our trade deadline up a couple extra weeks. We have a big punishment for you know like if you finished last in this league you get you lose the water bet right but you get watered by every single person in the league in a turtleneck sweater a turtleneck sweater and then have to draft for three four hours soaking looking wet in a turtleneck sweater with your name with your team stitched onto the back of it so we're in this league and I'm negotiating and apparently apparently Jason's negotiating at the same time and we're both trying to acquire Patrick Mahomes and I was going after Kris Carson basically trying to go all in on this season and make a commitment commitment to make my team stronger. The Padma homeowner basically said he's on the Block yes oh we both went to work as we do and it looked things are a a lot harder for me in this league than they used to be trade. Wise people are hip. People are we. We have a show now that that doesn't help and I basically get to the finish line on getting home Carson and and the other guy says okay i Mike I'm on the fence. I don't know want include a pack and he says well Jason's after him and I said done deal yeah. He told me afterwards he said you have no idea how quick it was once. I told him that that uh I was that Jason was competing for home and we're division. Mate right is soon as you mentioned my name to him. You said deal. I'll do it instantly and it was instant. Yeah I did not want when I new that. You might have him instead of me it. The competitive nature took then I find out from him. I find out in that moment. He's he's traded. Pat Mahomes where I dunno to WHO. I don't know what the deal is. I know nothing little. Did I know that while I found out mahomes was traded. I am being recorded covertly by by your cell phone. Andy and I you know that there's a big deal going down. The news broke the news that there's a deal going down. Pam Homes has been traded. I'm looking andy trying to see if trying to see if it wasn't you was it was the whole thing captured on video. I freak freak out. I was upset yeah. He told me he was gonNA. Let you know and I was like I gotta get the camera role in just to see so you can see that on twitter. I'll put it on Youtube. People can enjoy the real visceral reaction of the Jason more losing a trade Andy. You WanNa see just know acting truth of passion for fantasy that is that is it well and that's what I mean. That's what this this is. All about. I mean for me. It's making you feel bad. Here's a heads up. Jake congratulations you on the Alvin. Kamara signed Jersey for listening auction Jake Jake Jake. Cle No did not win. No no you don't. I don't know if it's him or not if he did. I'm taking it away yeah one. We're keeping open. We emailed you. If you want some good articles up on the website this week snap count observations target report week to Dynasty Report it is Wednesday so let's do some buy-sell buy or sell presented by Pristine Auction. Things got real tense in the office quickly yesterday yea because what what's not being mentioned mentioned here is my cat a very overreaction to 'cause my kind of had. This got caught off. Guard didn't realize mahomes was on the block. Yeah I missed the mess and cancelled then it was like I mean you seemed a little upset. Oh No I was just upset at the at the dramatic fashion of I they came into our slack they he said there's big trade and we literally sat there for five minutes because you're over there. You won't say what the trade is and he told me let let me build the I was just trying to respect that was that was the only thing that was a noxious to be. It was like it wasn't really does I've minutes. It's very obnoxious well. I thought he might posted right away. Eventually told you just wait for my next raid. I guess people want to know what to do. You know what there's a trade now. I've made a trait. I haven't actually but you just wait okay. We'll be waiting yeah. Mike was at all Our I ended up trading four draft picks to get Ford Rafic Schuyler Murray Peyton Barber Josh Gordon to get Mahomes Carson into the draft picks in this league the economy like Mike said it's very distorted but people have asked that the most what the trade was all right by herself presented by Pristine Auction. We're doing a WIJK. Three addition brooks has titled this one. I this'll be a thing brooks. You just title them. You give them a theme. You give them a concept in and we'll go with it you name this show seven seven seven edition because this is our seven hundred and seventy seven episode of the fantasy footballers pod. Co Jackpot. Wow Yeah I would say that's how most people feel having discovered US congratulations. We're celebrating seven seven in all black. Dole Jackpot black attire tire all right Michael Thomas. Are you buying seven receptions with Teddy Bridgewater in Seattle in week. One thirteen targets ten receptions week two thirteen targets ten receptions but there's been a change of quarterback bridgewater gets it going. I'm GONNA buy it. I mean he's opened close Costa Line of scrimmage all the time. I'm not buying one hundred twenty three yards. The Seattle secondary is it's a bit rough right now. A in Thomas is going to get the targets would just you're hoping that the offense can do something with those targets yeah you're hoping that it's seven four hundred instead of seven for sixty the eight and and that's what I'm GonNa buy this as well. I think he does. He's going to be the main target still got Sean Payton orchestrating now. Sean Payton is preparing for Teddy Bridgewater water. There's really nothing you can do with Michael Thomas. When a situation like this happens or Juju you lose the quarterback benching these players you just basically have a Built-in Hilton like frustration of what he could have done. That's basically it. Juju Smith Schuster seventy seven receiving yards at San Francisco this this week. Do you buy or sell that in week. One six for seventy eight no touchdowns eight targets week to five hundred eighty four. No touchdowns on eight targets buy or sell juju seventy seven yards. I will buy it. He did most of his work with Mason Rudolph last week. I think he crosses seventy seven yards. Yeah I buy it as well. When when Rudolph came in there was a huge each target's share you will sell it. I think Richard Sherman Secondary For San Francisco locking things down Mason Rudolph having to go into San San Francisco I will. I'm going to sell that one. The forty niners are baffling at this point because the expectations were not very high at at least publicly a around the nation sure San Francisco was very excited for their team but thirty one to seventeen forty one to seventeen is is this the on the road yes and is this the team that had that quick turnaround that you never see it coming but it happens every year that one or two teams just have this dramatic turn of events or was it just a product that they played the bucks and the bengals well. I think they win again this week. It'll be sitting at at three and you guys have them. Winning this game against Pittsburgh. I Have San Francisco winning. Yes yeah and some Pittsburgh just just traded for minkah Fitzpatrick. He'll play safety for them. Help solidify that secondary but either of you guys. You guys want to make a waterbed on Jayjay this week. I'll take the seventy seven in yards Jason. You went in on the first one of the week. I'M GONNA. Watch you to play waterbed. Mike and I alone Jason. I didn't realize his star like I didn't realize this. Show was hosted by two men in big baby. That's weird known that this is our seven hundred in seventy. Seven Shoukat is true. Mike on Design you you should on that. Here's how I feel threat. If you didn't get on that water I would have because you just don't want to do I. I wanted to lose the risk exactly well. Maybe maybe if you make a bet later. We'll like we'll trade pink slips or if we had real Pinkston pinks all right Mike Evans a top seven wide receiver finished against the New York giants in week one. He was the wide receivers seventy eight hoops in week two wide receiver fever forty eight now. He's top seven finished. It's tough to buy that even though he's my start of the week tomorrow who well. I'm not buying it. I'm I'm selling. He's not my star of the week. I do think he's a fine play. obviously he has the potential and the talent to have a top seven weeks so maybe this is the week is just really tough because as of right now it looks like he's the one B in Ovens Chris Godwin. It might just be too early early to know but I'm definitely selling a top seven performance..

"Well, next time we go to that restaurant. Do Jeb do the on the menu, there, do they have a Gators and chips? Let me find out his new thing. It's called noodle. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. How do they? Yeah. Right. I mean you gotta figure that they deep fry gator Hampshire cooking. I suspect if not there, somewhere closer, we'll have alligator. Yeah. Yeah. I mean it's not like. You might have to go by yourself. But. Yeah. Okay. It's because it's not like frogs legs like David mentioned, you know, because frogs legs, you know, the, the fillets frog fillets are, are going to be so small, that you got to cook them in some particular way. It's not like you can have a frog steak. But gator I gotta figure. They're a big pieces of meat that you get out of the gator, and so you like anything like anything else detail is supposedly the choice part of our. Yeah. Gator tail man. All right. You know, we have gateway gator tail and lobster tail here. It comes there comes like oh, you're at the Tiki bar. I forgot. Tiki bar. So I've made a resolution to try and mute my microphone as much as possible when the train goes by this time, but I was talking when it went by that's. I was trying to seafood restaurant, I'm looking at their many, I don't see the word alligator on here. Yeah. Shrimp. I e for shrimp, over the alligator, thank you. So with the gala gator, I guess I'm you know, we haven't heard from the shrimp, yet, either. Of guys talking to the train coming and I'm going to do something. Did it? Jack is immutable. Jack is okay, clearly, you guys don't get your job today. Your job this morning is when you see the little Jack as muted as Mike light go on. You have to keep talking. All right. So anyways, okay. I think that's it. Because I because I have that tab open all all the time in front of me when we're doing. Okay. I take I understand that part. But anyways gator on the runway, which got went really ugly with gator food, and then frog well what got rid of it. What I don't know how they did this 'cause because. gator Wrangler on staff. Apparently they just drove a front loader out, and somehow lured it in to the front end loader. I house dumb dumb. Do you have to be to willingly crawl into the bucket of a fron loader? I yeah. I really can't imagine the gator going for that. But you know, unless somehow subdued it. You know, I, I was actually all kidding aside. I was thinking, you know, so, you know, big creature like that on the runway or on the on the pavement when you needed to go, you know, like if there was a scramble, you know, I wonder what level what, what are the rules are the gator rules of engagement. I'm sure I'm sure it's out there shoot it and drag it off. Yeah. And but, but there's gotta be threshold. Okay. Because it's like first of all, there's laws and second of all, there's public public opinion. State laws, not going to apply on a military by right? I that's, that's probably true. But, you know, it's like there's, you know, I mean, certainly if there was an emergency, if there was like Sprengel, there was genuinely of national a military, you know, emergency or whatever, then the, the Gators, gotta go. All right. But if it's just a drill or just a, you know, whatever I wonder what the threshold is guess is my point. But. When you being a Florida man, no particular care, right? Gator. Can go anytime you gotta think that. An aircraft taxiing to take off with the get the Gators attention..

"Valley metro points to several reasons for the decline, including we do have safety and security concerns, and we want to be proactive about that. So that's why we've rolled out the respect the Reid campaign. The campaign includes increased security there's also new app allowing writers to report any incidents, they see on the light rail. So is light rail in the valley seeing a decline because people are afraid of it like the for the reason the reason is because it's much easier to get an Uber or or electric scooter or any of the other new technologies or new innovations out there as opposed to it. I mean just last year. Okay. Light rail ridership was down seven hundred twenty five thousand people. Okay. That doesn't mean anything for me out of fifteen million. Percentage wise five percent the previous year was down five this year. It was down four you're seeing where this is going. Well. Well, okay. And so tell me the world. I don't even think you need to be a futurist. You don't have to have a wild imagination. Or a crystal ball. Tell me the world where people are going to stop using Uber and lift and stop writing east scooters and stop any of this thing and start writing more trains. Eight tells me that world just to me. I don't know if it's necessarily stopping one thing and starting another I think they'll like if you ride light rail, and you have ridden light rail. And that's the way you get around. Then you're gonna continue to do that. And you may Dabo a little bit in the lift in the in the east scooters. But I think we're the biggest obstacles for public transportation. Come from are getting new people into the system. If you've always ridden, the boss, or if you've always ridden light rail, the chances are you're probably going to continue to do that for the most part. But with all these other options out there, right? I think that as people need some sort of public transportation. They're not starting with Uber starting with Mike light rail buses. They're starting with an Uber left racing. All the light rail did was take people that wrote the bus and put them onto onto trains. It's the same people using it. And we're finding that for a variety of reasons economical and time convenience that an Uber lift makes more sense for people. And again, if you see the decline in light rail ridership down four and a half percent or whatever last year. I can game theory. And for me, tell me when it goes the other direction or when does it just get down to right now? There's hardly anybody on it. We'll just get down to nobody on it. Did you see what I'm saying? Like, it's going to continue to go that direction as more companies become more competitive in the ridesharing as each scooters become more prevalent, and we we figure out regulation, whatever it might be. And maybe they go longer distances. As more economical cars literatures, all these other new technologies and things that are coming forward that none of them. None of them are and people are gonna ride more trains, not.

After Starwood Data Breach, Marriott And Customers Face Costly Headaches
"Support for this podcast and the following message. Come from internet essentials from Comcast. Connecting more than six million low income people to low cost high speed internet at home. So students are ready for homework class graduation and more. Now, they're ready for anything the question and answer website quarter is the latest company to report a data breach. The site says hackers may have accessed the data of one hundred million users when companies reveal massive data breaches like this. As Mary did with its Starwood properties last week. It's hard to pinpoint who stole what? And how that data was used because of that companies and their customers face a whole lot of expensive headaches. Here's NPR's Yuki Noguchi after data-breach companies undertake massive cleanup efforts to try to patch up at security and alert customers cybersecurity experts. Call this remediation Aviva lighten a cybersecurity analyst with Gardner says such costs vary. It can rain. From ten to one hundred fifty dollar a record stolen, depending on how many millions of records were stalling at half a billion affected. Guess Marriott's breach is one of the largest in recent history. It's also likely to face tens of millions of euros in penalties from new EU privacy laws that took effect this year apart from that light and says Mary out will have to pay for expensive upgrades to its security an additional fees and fines to credit card companies. But how effective are these efforts? Many experts say not very Nick Marino says director of cybersecurity in data protection at the government accountability office. I think the remediation can be pretty don't challenging not at least I think I can safely say Marino's wrote a recent report on the aftermath of last year's data breach. At equifax the credit reporting company. They're hackers stole personal information of nearly one hundred fifty million people many had to freeze their credit the cost equifax has topped four hundred million dollars to date, and this doesn't even. Clued extensive legal costs or fines. Marino says it's hard to trace incidents of fraud to a specific data breach in part because there have been so many over the years one thing that we talk about often with some of these breaches as the fact that if you take the data that was stolen from one breach combined with the data that's out there from different breaches. You know, a lot about an individual and use that information to carry out fraud. This situation has companies scrambling to protect themselves Marriott. For example, says it's trying to gauge what it cybersecurity insurance will cover but consumer advocates complain most of the cleanup falls to individual consumers who have to cancel credit cards, change passwords or monitor their credit, Mike lit with consumer group US per supports congressional proposals akin to the new European statute that would increase fines for data breaches one way to offset. These costs would be to actually make the investments on the front end John Tunis agrees. He's a class action. Attorney who? Old suit against Mary out the same day, it revealed its breach data breach litigation is gonna cost companies to want to avoid getting suit in a void regulatory scrutiny. So they're going to begin to spend more money on keeping information safe. But safety is an elusive constantly shifting goal. Even among companies that prioritize it Sean Joyce is head of cybersecurity and privacy at Price Waterhouse Coopers. He says cybercriminals have become harder to detect and defeat. It really looking at implementing box and complicated. Exploits that they're developing using machine learning joy says it's countries like North Korea that are driving the demand for hack data and their objected isn't necessarily to access an individual consumers Bank account the reality. He says is that breaches are inevitable. He offers companies this advice bite like heck to protect yourselves. Right. But what I'm saying is be prepared. And then. Have that ability to basically respond to recover quickly? You can do cheat. NPR news, Washington.
