"I didn't experience it to that degree. Obviously but i i. Did you know i had a taste of boy. It was not fun to be on one of those camels. Well the other to the other two riding cameras where a lot better i. My god told me well. I have to be on one of those good riding campbell's because the guys you know eventually it's like i don't know you know maybe we should share that good gamble and so we had to negotiate these kinds of things and he spoke arabic and spanish and i speak english and french so we sorta piece these things together. Riley was the same way when he was negotiating to get somebody. I am to take him across the desert. He had to use stones to indicate numbers and he had to piece together a language. Cobble together. and you know just living that moment. Doing the same kind of thing was much more educational for me than even going to the exact place that riley had gone to right. Because at the end of the day it's mostly about getting a feeling a glimpse a fragment of a feeling of what it would have been like to survive for that long right and the destinations sure would be great but at the end of the day the researcher were doing was How how to write this. So it can encompass the feeling. These people would have to cross the desert. That's that's exactly right you know and and It also is what you know connected me closer and closer to riley one point he off his camel and He's lying on the ground and his guy comes up to him and says riley you know if you've fallen off a donkey you'd be you'd be dead but You sell off a camel. Campbell's are sacred those who fall from camels or never hurt get up. Let's go and i. I read that in his memoir. And i thought okay. Well maybe stretching the truth here he is you know he's a and So let's let's give you know a little leeway here Will on the very first day. I was on my camel. And i'm telling you. I've never been on any you know when that campbell gets up at your first year. You're looking straight down at the ground is it's getting up onto his knees and then it rears you back in your about to fall off the back and then you're up higher than you've ever been on anything in muhammad l. Era mike guy goes running down the desert on his campbell he. He was raised on the on the desert. His father was a nomad and so running. Aquino's like riding a bike for him So my came against chasing his camel a pretty soon. I'm dodging rafts of foam coming out of my campbell's mouth and hanging on for dear lice. I feel my my saddle starts to slide to one side and You know i'm falling over. And i realize i'm either going to go into this campbell's whip sawing legs or i've got let go and so i've i've let go and fell off my camel and hit the ground hard and mohammed finally realized i went behind him anymore and he comes galloping up and he looks down he goes king. What what's wrong. And i'm checking my head to see if a broken you know anything check in my ribs. And and he goes. It doesn't matter you fell from camel. Camels are sacred. You're fine let's go and poway dow's an amazing moment. I never expected to experience.

"I'm not like a horse person. But i was at a place where there were horses or and there was a pony standing on my foot and did nothing about it. I just waited. Tell anybody in say to somebody. Hey your pony is standing on my what. I just stood there and i figured eventually the pony would move and it did and i survived. It was no big deal. But that's the kind of person that i mostly bed so in this particular case. I said wait a minute. This is the heart of what i do. Why would they hire me and then say you can't. You can't do the thing that you do. It just doesn't make sense to me so my managers who i don't think ever had marching orders for be saying you know televised Go back here and they know they argue with you. Okay all right so when we it was filmed Hbo special cats cops stuff was filmed in san francisco at at at a place called. Bimbos and Let's see there was a we had a rehearsal. But i don't rehearse material because it's kisa death but the what the rehearsal was composed of. Is you know for the camera people you know. Where am i going to come out from that kind of logistical stuff. But what we did. Rehearse was And in fairness hbo back then. I have to say making people was a lot harder than than it is now. Now now you. We wish we couldn't hear all the people that we would not be great but back then. It was a lot more challenging. So what they did was. They had these mics that were hanging down from the ceiling. And of course all of this stuff costs money to that was part of it. They had these mics hanging down from the ceiling for to mike the audience. Because if i talk to an audience member we had. I haven't microphone on me. We need a microphone on them so that the people listening on television can hear what they're saying so they had those and then they had the guy with what's called a boom mic. Which is that big. Furry microphone right. So the the i think we have to. We have just one boom mike guy or two. I can't remember anymore. But so the rehearsal was. We had production assistance. Who would sit in various chairs. And i would pretend that. I was interviewing them. And i would say you sir in the green jacket over here and the boom mike guy would haul ass over to where that wise to mike the guy and then i would have this little exchange and then the people in the truck would say yes that worked or no that so this was a it was a big deal to be allowed to talk to the so now. It's the showtime. I go on is it. Seems like it's going okay. I'm telling my jokes. Somebody somebody. I guess somebody. I started talking to somebody in the audience and same thing. The boom guy runs over and and by the way people like the director and since the bigwigs they sit out in they call it the truck but really. It's like a big. Rv that has all the all the equipment where they can switch to. Which camera which you know you've seen it in like tootsie and shit right all the you know all that big equipment right. So they're out there. They're not near me. They're out in this truck. And so somebody i'm talking to somebody and they say there are a lawyer and that person there. Is there a lawyer. When i asked him what they do for a living a lady over to my left soon like i something like that so now i turned from the lawyer. I turned to the lady. Of course boom guy. Saal ass over. And i said well what is it you don't have. Why don't you lawyers. Have you had a bad experience with a lawyer. And she says yes but she's very reluctant. I pushed her and pushed her and pushed her. Get her to tell me why she didn't like lawyers and it was well my mother something and i anna and finally the women's i what happened. What your mother had a lawyer. What whether it's an accident. Well what was the accident. And she says. I'm paraphrasing now as you know she. Her mother was in a service station and what was it. She fell and tore her face off on a lou brac. Yes that's what it was. And i my. My reaction was totally genuine. Which was oh because it's such a horrible but the other thing is in my head. I'm thinking i made these people. Let me be able to talk to the audience right. They put all this time and money. They didn't want to do. I insisted for the first time in my life. I insisted on something and they must be in a rage right now because all i could see was just the whole show just tanking because such a horrible sad image in a comedy show and so my reaction was just like oh and for some odd reason you know it was it it. It was lightning in a bottle. I never in a million years right for some reason. The audience thought that was funny and to this debt and so big laughs. Yeah big laughs over this woman ripping or face off on a loop wreck and i swear. I'm not making this up to this day. I will be like in a theater or something bump into an audience member somewhere. And they'll say. Are you going to do the lou brand the brac that i have a low brachman i. It is not uncommon for audience members to think that i put plans in the crowd. But hey you know one would never need to put plants in the crowd. You get people talking and they are just delightful but this this the idea that this would have been a the lube rak thing who. What kind of a joke is that. It's amazing because like that moment is to people who follow because it's a big deal. Nothing like that. That i was really has ever been caught like that level of spot nate. It's really hard to film crowds and to film on special and it's the and then you go back to the guy who works at a law firm and it's this huge piece. Wealth truth is going to do the. Are you going to loop wreck. But i mean the truth. Is i hate to say this because i would like to take all sorts of credit for being a very clever individual with with a light exhaust britain. That would be great. But the truth is i didn't say anything all that funny. I just had a genuine reaction that that the audience didn't even really no way. I had that reaction. I mean part of it was me onstage realizing that really sad awful thing just got said and whose fault is but mine. Because she didn't want to tell me. And i made her tell me so. That was part of my action but part of my reaction was just like they are gonna kill me. Hbo is going to be so mad. So but i didn't have a funny response. I just went and we right back more poundstone..

Like i said i felt type of paid off the back going forward on just really disappointed. Sad that i didn't get to go to remove man get to play the game because i didn't even really get play. Mike guy marched but he was to get in there and and sort of just cruise along not to back off. They're talking about backfired getting close with saw him an image. It's sort of filled that. Why because oh sort of you joining that by. And sometimes you had the guy with it. But i still thought that on besides within that because they had big on their vaccinate he'd make sense to me any other people's opinions from what i'm hearing. Yeah yeah definitely. I think that strategy of hiding between these two big guys with a lot of ego personality is a great strategy and i think maybe nine times out of ten they get this chart instead of you and it just fell different ways. Welcome back to fast money nike hitting a new all time highs today as a gears up for some friday night lights. That's right the companies reporting earnings after the bell tomorrow. Let's bring in mike. I want to set up at the office. Market mike so we did see more than two times. The average daily options volumes day. Right now the optus market is implying. A move of about five dollars and sixty cents or so by the end of tomorrow's trading. That's about four percent of the stock price and between seven and a half and eight dollars a share higher lower by the end of next week's abbreviated trading session due to holiday about five point four percent or so of the current stock price. That's less in both cases than the five point. Six percent that the stock has typically moved over. The course of the last eight reported quarters the most active options that were expiring this week with one. Forty-five strike calls those were trading for about a dollar twelve so buyers. Those are obviously betting that the stock rally about four percent going into that earnings and then of course the next most active options where the one forty one forty five straight calls it expire in january but overall it does appear that op continue to be bullish. Despite the fact that we're trading at all time highs all right. Thanks for that. Mike guy daami good business. Good presence in china. It's got all the ingredients does. "Its divinity original Sin Three Not Baldur's gate yet. So that's that's the big thing I came out of it. So I'll be interested if you guys anybody does jump into it. Larry instead added almost twenty five hours. It does you good Johnny. I was trying to think like how they would go about doing that. Give it some identity because. The original games are like they play. So different because they're old right. So you can't really mimic that because it will just feel old and. Obsolete okay. Maybe that's harsh but you get what I'm saying. So I was thinking if maybe they would have some kind of collar pilot. To match because I know you know the Baldur's games kind of like. Gold Ish and the they got this hugh. But I haven't really seen any of that I watched some people play haven't played myself. Do you think they're going to do anything like that. Dude seriously. You're fine. Jesus Christ Dog Anyway No, we're I think. They probably won't do that I. Think the big thing about Baldur's gate originally was that neither game felt forced to throw in action right away and Baldur's gate. Baldur's Gate Three Forces Yoon action right away. There's no time for law. Remember Baldur's gate was the game. You'd walk into a city and there would be five dude scholar singing songs about myths and legends. It was so awesome to walk into a building a walk into a room and they're like fucking singing and there's lore that doesn't happen here. It's just instant battle and it's crushing battle to and the amount of guys they throw you is fucking insane. It's I don't if it's if that's the plan but I went to. A battle and I'm talking to a guy, they're like, Hey, Yo, what's up and I'm like nothing man were high five and Goblin and best friends I piss them off a little bit. He decides is going to attack me in the middle of combat. There's two dudes in the clearing by the time all the enemies show up because he blows his little fuck and help me bugle. There's nine guys and I'm like level to and they're all level too. So they just wiped me it was like and they were starting up on hills. In the game even they're all mature that if you get a chance, you should climb up to the top of Shit because you can shoot farther and you're like, okay great. But they start there. In fucking. Dude they throw elemental shit at all times they're like, grease fire. Lightning. fucking molasses. Food I. Would Walk two feet and slip so they'd be like Gig. Gigi. And it's like, how do I climb this fucking mountain when they're street goblins fire and they have all the skills as you do and it's just this. It's just tiles of faces in your upper left and you're like three of them and there's like fifteen and. It takes a while sometimes to do what they need to do and you're sitting there going like. Be Great. If it was my turn at some point and you just watch your guys little away and then once you're down to one dude and there's twelve dudes left you're like you're at the wrong end of a gang, Bang right? You're like, should I stay or should I go? And I would do is I'd be like fuck it and I've reloaded save I'd just be like I'm out. So I think. I think that's GONNA decide that the difficulty wasn't built in yet I think they really. Probably. Did that because they didn't want people to think it was easy. I killed somebody with Conceicao up which was RSC shell which was. You can throw anything. So I threw my boots, Adam knocked him down then through my seashell Adam and killed him and I was like that was fucking wicked like that was cool but. Other than that battles. Really. Rough were divinity games pretty rough. was more so than the second. One, more? The second one has some ball breaking enemies. Shay. Yeah they they got some optional enemies to that are like. god-like. But. I think one interesting conversation is around game designed like do do you do hard mode first and then you balance everything else around it and you know maybe like normal mode is a dial down version of that. So maybe what you're seeing is the you know the top level of difficulty where the is. Using all the tricks those against you where maybe it's dial down a bit don't know. Yeah. Either men they said there was no difficulty in this game that you could choose which was true. There will be when it releases, but in early access. And I got I got smoked and now I got smoked. You know I'm also jackass in conversations like if somebody ever steps to being a conversation I'm like it's fucking on. So the guy will be Oh yeah I don't think so and I'm like oh now. Now I, hate you and it'd be like instant attack which I loved also, if you're in the middle of a conversation and I think divinity to did this, you can click anybody else in your group and move them around as normal. So I would like perch my guys up in the corners and be like Go back to the guy in the discussion be all man you know. Like a movie where a guy knows that encounters going wrong in his angling for that first shot that was great. But guess what I did that one time and I'm like Oh. Yeah I got this so I fucking go bad instantly I fucking get ready to attack. And Mike Guy is up on a hill in the dude in the battle spawns in on the hill next to me and knocks me off the hill shoving me and I was just like. Okay Like I guess I mean we like how did he get here? What's he do? What was he doing here? You know I mean what was I doing there? Why thought the discussion was going poorly what was he doing? There is like a tree in.

I'm kinda doing one of these signs of the cross like let this be the one time with the way, you know, what I mean? But I have a feeling my guy lost two rounds or gal, Mike guy or gal lost two rounds. And the other one one, you know, it's just this feeling in your stomach that, you know, you're gonna justify sometimes when you win you're like, wow are all take. I'm not gonna argue. Right. I had one thing that really really gets on my nerves, and I don't know why. Maybe just dumb dumb with a simple as that is. I have a feeling the fighters also know it, and they try and convince themselves that that's not the case by doing this. This thing let's say let's say the. Calvin and I fought in the refs in between us, and I'm the one that kind of has an idea aust-, I'm still going like this. And then I'll go dirty or twenty nine twenty seven George thirty twenty twenty nine twenty eight Calvin, and then they go like this. And I'm sitting there my feet up more motherfucker. You're probably loss. You know? He got at least one. Like, what is almost like a what I thought it was twenty six. One one ten eight, you know, and so they're doing that. And I'm already sitting there going don't do that don't do that. And then when they announced the other guy go what alternative a quantum like? What is it? And I'm sitting there going. No, no, no. Why why do you think fighters do that just that last chance to convince themselves they China like, yes, they say as safe as you know? Everybody was and they know that you have to know the fans have a good idea that you'll go back and see that maybe like on ever made decisions or on Twitter, Kabul people, and they're making the case like that was a that was a late take down. But you all know, you know, what I'm saying? They always say the onus is on the fighter to convincingly win a ten nine. You can't you can't just win. You can't just get a take down at the end. And then I got the takedown things. And I got no man, you got to convince that judge to go ten nine. You know, what I mean, we've got to put a little bit more out there. You gotta walk asking a lot of you guys. But sometimes I see people standing there. I'm going like this because the referees holding back he's gonna raise his hand on my. They're standing there. And I feel like you didn't you didn't give it your all. It seems like you know, they may have been here. But I still see not another don't be other fights like zombie. And and. Yeah. "How much of it applies in this situation by the end of your time and Minnesota see you were teaching the offense to people by the end of your time in Minnesota. You were when the quarterback didn't know what the play was at couldn't spit it out. You were spitting out for him. You would coat you were by the middle of your time in Minnesota tear halfway through it. You were all provide receiver doubling as wide receiver coach mentor for Randy moss. Teaching to play your position Dez is. None of those things that's not a knock on him to compliment to you more. So because what you were doing was above and beyond. So I say that to say this, I do not even if he's football Rin, even if his body's ready is mind read is he is he able to do things that aren't going to slow down the saints operation are they they don't necessarily always pay question. They don't always play the super fast paced, but they like to be able to. And so things like that to me are now could they potentially if they're gonna activate them have him just. For jump balls in the end zone, right? If we get to the five yard line having go on the far side of field, something he's always been very good at like that. I don't think you could screw up. So. Yeah, potentially. But I wouldn't see I don't see a scenario where he plays this week. So to piggyback off what you're saying. Which was that? I was going to ask you guys make a great point with this. I was gonna say what can Mike guy like Michael Thomas learned from desk? Bryan, who's been in the league, we know about Michael Thomas phenomenal work ethic. He's in tremendous shape. Doesn't need to do anything else at this point. And then you have a veteran like Dez Bryant come in could serve that role in some capacity this weekend. You have to realize Michael Thomas. He's at one of those kind of I wouldn't say a charmed life, but he's been around sports because uncles Keyshawn Johnson who happened to play wide receiver. So Mike, Mike. He's been traveling around with football players. He's got relationships with other guys. I'm sure that there can be some connective tissue to what happened does right around the middle of his career. And when he sees Michael Thomas, his it'd be like man, I have never worked with a wide receiver who works harder than my Tom was his workout even at this stage of his career. Thirty two strangers coming at you and I and I guess we're doing this now and and we're just trying to keep it civilized and and not too close for us. And when you're, I guess up close and personal with the teeth in the other mouth, are you interacting at all you did talk about what's happening or. I mean, it's not. I take it that that's very important to you. Guys kissing kissing. I'm not involved. If you see two people kissing and you're not involved in that, is that a pleasure for you to be there to watch two people? Do you like to watch people kissing? No. You're just there? Yeah. So imagine being inside the mouth. Yeah. Is there anything you think is in your world and the tooth world is the equivalent that makes you feel like a human feels when they kiss someone. Oh, yeah, celery. Paul, I would ask you about about brushing, I guess, just what? What was it like. It feels good to be cleaned off. It feels really good when I would get brushed. It felt amazing. I felt new, but when I think about the deep that came before me, that just wasn't important to them. It just to be clear by the teeth that came before you. You mean you don't mean baby teeth? You mean the like the t. The history in history? Yeah, yeah. I mean, I think I think you think of eating teeth a hundred years ago looked very white. I think I think they tried their best, you know, in in getting ready for this interview, I read about in the early twentieth century, but humans were using radium a lot to make things glow in the dark. And there was at least one case at this one factory where they're making these. These clocks that with radium that glowed in the dark. One of the women that worked there would paint her teeth with radium to make them them shine. Sounds beautiful, is it was probably short lived. I bet not for nothing. I bet the Teather fine. They are probably still glow. I bet the Teather still glowing and looking. Good. I, I also read that. The women who worked at that factory when they would blow their noses at night. The handkerchiefs would glow sounds kinda beautiful too little galaxy across your handkerchief. You think about it. And if I had been covered in radium, I could have been a flashlight to Mike guy. He gets up in the middle of the night. He's going to the bathroom, fetch a snack, and all he has to do is smile and I would have lit his way nice safe path and maybe because he didn't have that. He tripped he fell tooth got knocked out yours, truly, and and that's what happened to me. Radium could have saved. You. Yeah, it would have been fine for me. Probably would have been ultimately pretty bad for him. Support for everything's alive, comes from Bomba's their socks. I will tell you the truth. I'm wearing them right now, and I love them in particular and wearing the no show variety. The type of sock you wear when you for some reason don't want anyone to know you're wearing socks. Usually no-shows fall down and then they get caught under the arch of your foot and you're walking along and you're telling yourself, you'll just live with it, but finally becomes too annoying. And then you have to take your shoe off and fix it right there in the street. Well, passersby you imagine, silently judging you Bomba's don't do that. They don't fall down. It's miraculous. And also when you buy a pair, they donate a pair to a homeless shelter. So ensure they're good socks. And as.

They've just hit the safe after you're coming from a world of of like amateur sports competition. Like when enough rowdy. That's what it's about, and that's the thing is it's like, is going to be like a ring guy, like, I don't know, we could do any wanted to find it. Is you. Percy teams KOMO no backpacks involved in boxing hit the big inflatable gloves, and I get. My hands like glass. Shut up. John combat. Right, right. So that's why I gotta go on and I really do want like and I'm also have to remind myself that it's like, I'm not. I need to think of the bigger picture to now NBC's a different animal. Do you know what I mean? And I realized you heard it here first, Johnny. Johnny's going soft on the job. No, no, bad language. No, drinking, no fighting, no. No, that's that's no late night. Like the other day we were at Saratoga day, was there to we didn't. We didn't Lincoln, but we drink all day at the racetrack got an hour asleep and then we partied all night gaffe news and I was a corpse the entire next day. So I mean, it's like I don't care who you are. Thirty six for everybody on that call. But I mean, like I said. What's weird about it though. I'm thirty six, but I think again, another amazing with the is it's kept me young thirty six going online. Twenty one exactly going like eighteen. I mean, just being in that environment and like you're always run. You know, younger people with the TV like demographic, like all that, like I really do feel like I don't feel like I mean, I don't feel thirty six. I really don't. I'm sitting on like, hey, man, you're older. I'm like, no, not. Let's go to the gym and shit. Like I just I just turned thirty on Tuesday. People like, oh man, like you must feel an old and mentally. It doesn't bother me at work in never Neverland. But physically I felt I always say to, I'm like, the challenge is like never Neverland Peter Pan, right? And all these idiot chasms are lost boys..
