"Going to be ready to run whatever is best race is he just gonna have to improve on the numbers his best Beyer figure so far is only eighty five is going to have to come up about ten points to have a chance would you be if if it is the law does not win this race this afternoon deck who's the most next likely winner it happened to win him his two races this year wards just awesome and I thought his race at Belmont when he went up a mile the sixteenth at one thirty nine and three and you don't see that very often it was one of those you're watching that and you go all right well at some point the sources probably gonna start to shorten stride not only did he not do that he was still whitening in stride at the finish line if he comes out of the gate and he's a length or two in front after a quarter mile I think he's going to be very very difficult to catch we're talking to Dick Girardi alright I love some of the props on bet online civic I'm gonna throw some some of them that you want to get your thoughts on those all right margin of victory over under one and a half lengths yeah I'm gonna go over one and a half lengths it gives it happens the win wins and I think he's the he's the worst I'm picking I think you saw the wind by a significant margin if there's a long way in M. indica circuit where they get the most likely winner I don't think it's going to be a huge March all right how about will there be a Triple Crown winner here in twenty twenty I kinda like the money yes a plus fifty five fifty I know the races are spread out but if the most likely winner wins today into is the law very talented three year old yeah I I probably wouldn't go the other way I'm not gonna take it might say about late night the host who did Tyler so yep on plane at all I'm with you pick the plus five fifty or eleven to one of our clients I do not however think is the laws say of the caliber of black Americans borrower justifier even some of the near misses in recent years license plate Alex and Smarty Jones but a look at the Wendy's I was you know one that's why would you be happy to have a ticket on it at eleven until at that point all right how bout the winning time today in the Belmont Stakes over under one forty eight and five I would get on paper I'm saying over I just don't think there's any horses that fast but the one big issue with that and I would caution people on this fat or nonfat online got AG wait until you watch a couple races today and then maybe make that Pat see how fast the services because you never know sometimes on these big breaks they service gets as you can get really fast yeah with the returning your you're right about that and that's fair and you get a judge the surface and and how the services is it deep or is it playing more to speed and and you're going to get some of those better race times we're talking to Dick Jordie Benn online dot AG mark but loses with you right here on the fan on this Saturday no digan handles it you know the interest in thoroughbred racing you know due to unfortunate circumstances but what the sport returning in this pandemic you know you're seeing handle even at smaller racetracks across the country going up and up but I would expect it would be a pretty good handle today about my yeah I don't think there's any question it's interesting horse racing was the one sport that was in a unique situation to take advantage of what actually happened because as you know mark ninety percent of the money and horseracing sped away from the race track anyway the people are used to betting on their phones are on their laptops no course in April and may with a hundred percent and the tracks that were able to stay open like all state park in Florida Oaklawn park in Arkansas you're talking from smaller tracks like Bonner park in Nebraska panhandle numbers were off the charts crazy and I suspect the same thing is going to happen is it for for Belmont Stakes day obviously no fans but people are just behind the battle okay thanks and they're dying to watch something so yeah I would think they handle numbers tomorrow will be astronomical and find one for you Dick I interviewed more Cassie a little bit earlier on the program he said basically he's got no other choice break in the from the row with Johnny vis go live Velasquez handle it the way it happened to wins going and hopefully you know he's going right to the front and play catch me if you can write yeah I had no question I think the rail if there was any other decision to be made that ended it when he got the railing I'm sure mark wasn't thrilled with the last minute entrance up for laughs too okay can't win but he has enough speed to be potentially could make life difficult for Capital One and but yeah and markets as you said me going first third straight Triple Crown race win which is that hello thank you that morning I was going for three in a row then scratch that itch right one streamer star win Triple Crown races that are you know they say they want to want more and more minority basically said as much no question and look mark got elected the hall of fame this year is deservedly so and that you won't get that there won't be a a ceremony this year up at Saratoga springs get post until next year but yeah he's he's absolutely one of the best in the country Hey Dick I enjoyed the last ten twelve minutes here good luck today good luck in the Belmont let's go tap into winter right you've got everybody happy about that you gotta take your already bet online dot AG check it out they've got wonderful prop bets it is the law the favor in the Belmont today but ticket myself both on the the one tactic to win loses with the Saturday edition preview on the Belmont right here the fan in New York right it's Jamie progressives number one number two employee leave a message at the.

"Very much parts are let's head over the five Farmington road top Pletcher is gonna win at Belmont at a mile and a half this is a one turn mile an eighth a lot of people think very very highly of the five he's going to be coming from way out of it at fifteen one hour before an entry level allowance race he's only broken is made in Israel releases this winter you space all sorts of different circumstances he closed into a fast pace he tried to call into a slow pace and then last time in the Arkansas derby try to keep in closer maybe flattened out a bit you know the freeway seven comment he lost them all he doesn't win he's a deep closer here's how would be the other alternative for people I think you need to like him we like Max player I don't think you can like both the secure trust these people closer I don't like him to walk I don't like him later on today are you mentioned four left earlier you think he's going to be challenging tap it to weigh in on the front and thirty to one of the more in line for Doug o'neill I wouldn't be stunned if he cleared and Johnny what I'm clear and Johnny tried to take off the pace with capital went back working strongly because by the time the five major crimes this guy's gonna be looking around looking at how you get the cameras were table so source I really hope he doesn't want to walk in here and and and get not anybody's way namely topic to Windsor I like when these races are run cleanly and I you know he's just paste the look at me I don't like little all right number seven jungle runner fifty to one on the morning line Steve Asmussen your buddy ray Loogootee heiress aboard yeah we will share the stage with us that they're going to be back in twenty nineteen we have a nice night that night I'll be ones were for Rory will be looks completely overmatched in west Campylobacter justice not baseball best of luck with the resolution of the lot I've had a lot of success in this race as well one of our career back in two thousand sixteen we gave them out that source look up fast all right how about the eighth is the lawyer six the five morning line favorite early money all over as well Markley tag Manny Franco eight eight deserve it yeah you know I deserve it even money favorite this morning at three he's going to be shorter than that I think he's the goods I am very as a gambler knows of one form of the Afenifere we also understand for five years on that was damaged by but was sent you want to see the best of the best meet up and let him settle on a racetrack I was looking forward to seeing the balance all of them in Max field take on because the law for two reasons I want to do the best for stress to selfishly I want ten dollars under the law because I do you repeat those words like a drum if I think you're gonna be close or something well I think you're going to get these horses I think some okay it's a carnation I thank you see on the travelers I thank you I think there's a good chance source for the triple crown but like I said he's got somebody in Barclay tag that knows how to keep our resource happy and healthy funny cide wonder derby in twenty thirteen he won a race every year from twenty twelve to twenty seventy Walkley Mozambique you for shopping and healthy I think you can go to for quite a long today many cycles and it's almost I'm hot I'm happy for merry merry cycle one of the best lawyers in this country and people are sad to see if that was one of three separate last year sharing how did you get to the bottom of stakes win today lifted the wall from just off the pace I think he's a stone cold since the one hundred and fifty second Belmont Stakes Moses with you right here on the fan on the Saudi terminate the beast to be breaking down the Belmont Stakes tell my one fifty two later on this afternoon coming away five forty two posed at the does a great job naira into horse racing radio network a lot of people like doctor posted five to one on the morning line top pleasure around were tease what's your thoughts on on this three year old your available or step brings us some value in this race I don't like this was for a penny later on today I think you're gonna have some different publications I don't like will be defeated in the first couple wins I know he's got Todd Pletcher he's got a router to use corner that's only going to help bring down the price I don't like this was I think the source now is what was it was all about earlier seven phones a model I think this was going to be very very useful I think those those middle distance for him is going to be his Cup of tea when all said and done I I just I don't like to be here today and I think he's got a chance to be the second or third choice so again try and turn some lemons into lemonade by taking a three to five or four or five shots and making some money in the gimmicks by getting award like topples out of them all you know one horse I like that I I think and help out those exotics and that's the final horse in this race and that's the ten pneumatic Assamese cities go rider Ricardo Santana was not get any sort of love in the early wagering as well eight to one on the morning line making a backup exactly with them so much to play them here but you don't play you don't gain towards actor and make them exactly I'm gonna say this you know all the famous people don't follow the sport don't really get this if you don't help me right now Eric gay no shot was when I had a crystal ball here you're not winning the Belmont Stakes later on today I tell you this is the worst that beats up now I'm making a bigger exactly what modernist because I think the dynamics of the lakes play more income modernist being able to get a bigger piece the path this forces questionable modernist I think this was may even be a little more counters and modern this the problem is you're gonna be moving what does the law and he has a novel approach to seriously challenge the law the problem is when you face always does better than you would you take your swing more often than not you're susceptible on the only I would not be surprised if this source continued off I think this was gonna be good as first generations off the pace winning the war after that they asked him to go to the lead in his first start around two turns last time I think that was a very tough fashion just birds out of this area he goes back to the one time you got the outside draw and he's supposed to get his trip the trip that was needed last time because of the grout draw real trip that this force one to six do you get that later on today I just think there's a lot better than them but he's definitely a big player in the in the low slot here from my job so you're going eight for eight ten all right two quickies before let you go into the appreciate the time here number one is all the three horses that we mentioned so overall I'm Dave tap it to weigh in doctor post one of those three horses which one of those three would surprise you the most of you want today what surprised me the most Dr post because we had the least amount of speed and I think he probably has the most distance limitations of those brave the wind gets loose and just keeps on growing or selling a lot because of the.

"Addition is we're previewing the hundred fifty second running of the Belmont stakes at a mile eight not a mile and a half better to do it and a friend of mine body of the show that is after these to be the big a naira you see my talking horses with sterling every single day also horse racing radio network check him out there very very popular on the naira circuit in very very good at betting Belmont day as well what's going on at the good afternoon how are we doing good mood happy Belmont day a little bit of a different day but Hey shire curable Beaumont park the one hundred and fifty second Belmont Stakes nobody saying well all the triple crown intractable be the latest about my government on the first one was run on June nineteenth and also be the first time as well so we go to summer five forty four this will be the first time the Belmont abroad in the summer well there you go very nice all right so a little bit of history today as well and if the father obviously I'll a lot of history along with those states with it being at a mile east instead of about a half did not really know whether choice here given the fact of of everything we've gone through with the the corona virus and the pandemic yes both of our president and CEO Dave o'rourke for our age are invited guests will both morning and this afternoon you know and they've basically said you know they had no other choice I mean what are you going to do harm well they were so much uncertainty in the world right we have a handful of racetracks that we're continuing to run but the truth of the matter is we didn't know when the pickle preparations were gonna be wrong the W. B. postponed the prepay if they kind of took their time over tronic reported decided on basically four weeks a month after the Kentucky Derby resource you haven't gone amount of core I'm gonna mild three sixty and I don't think a lot of them were prepared in a traditional manner because of the uncertainty we did know when these races and the preparations for the first we're going to be one I think it was only fair to the horsemen and women to the owners and most importantly mark to the horses to run this race apart for all you know it the we've had a lot of conversations about the Triple Crown you're not you're never a believer that the Triple Crown is the savior for thoroughbred racing what do you make of the Triple Crown this year all right I can also to be tougher to win the Triple Crown this year there has been your staff so I'm gonna say this and that's one reason it's a hundred and five days this year between the races now you said you thought well that gives time it also gives you time for a lot of bad things that happen when should we get he won his only Kentucky Derby dot org back in twenty thirteen it is always there from the day brokers waited till they won the Kentucky Derby yes five perfect moms in order to have five perfect months in any sport let alone wash racing where these horses can do a plethora of things to themselves overnight low on what happens on the racetrack and when they're training every day so five perfect mom and you know what there you go you need to have about three perfect months now the time you've had to run up to the derby now yesterday it was announced the problem you have you moved this year it's gonna be one on August eighth that seven weeks from the Belmont it's four weeks from the Kentucky Derby so I would think a lot of horses especially because the law to get the money later on today will gold Travers in seven weeks Darby eleven weeks but again there's a lot of time between now and the drivers you have to do to make sure you keep the source happy and more importantly healthy so I think it could in fact be a little bit tougher and I think you're a lot more likely to face different falls in all three races because these races take on a different kind of meaning now the Belmont the first leg of the Triple Crown okay your dirty the dirty you're gonna get the best four year old in the garbage the printer's becomes a very strange race because it's a beautiful product for the three year old I want to try the breeders Cup classic it's an American classic it's about a mile and three sixteenths so I think there's a good chance what's that you got the three races I wouldn't be surprised if in the three races you got ten tomorrow you'll have close to twenty in the derby another time I won't be surprised if thirty different horses ran in the sprint race this year that's a big number that is a big number you're right about that's gonna be interesting everything obviously we all have to adjust to a little bit of the new normal you know AT this field to ten that's going to go post were later on this afternoon at five forty two when they open up the gates of Belmont Park no crowd no fans in attendance how good is this field attend a very interesting field I don't know how good the resources all right yeah I think you have some potential again we say this every year about the derby over the phone or whatever it is I think there's some horses in here that probably don't belong doesn't make them bad horses just kind of out of their element throughout western was supposed to run earlier on the court today in the woods returns he's.

"But I about the average you're going the hall of fame following it devotes with which is great but what sets me is and I noticed that the world revolves around me I grew up the Yankees **** Jackie to the seventies and a couple of weeks with them a month it was put in about the hall of fame he got tonight and I think this is the second time around that this happened I don't know what it takes for a great player like himself who sorry that happening in the in the whole thing and my question to you is why can't the fans vote for a player like him so begin the hall of fame I was reading up and have a good day Dennis yeah you know listen the fans you're looking at a place like that you want to say you want to hold it up to a percentage of the fans played a part in the voting process but at some point I mean because then favoritism comes into play right right you want to raise fares balance the you know the whole fame is supposed to be for the cream of the crop of a cream of the crop the leader of the elite right now it's been watered down over the years I don't know if I necessarily believe the fans the the point be apart at voting process now you're doing multiple organ of all the same I use close yeah these clothes hi I'm all I'm really of the kind of believe that if there needs to be fifteen twenty minute debate about a guy that they're not really all fame if I had to sit down and argue you know when you when you when you watch so regardless of sport hockey bass right all right football baseball you watch enough if you know when you're watching a guy whether or not he's all the fame or not to breeze all fame Tom Brady's a hall of Famer Rogers is a hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor Barry said you go up and down one hall of fame role favorite you've watched enough right that's why you get to Cole Porter like Eli manning if you're sitting there debating about the library I was I put him in but I can understand those a look at the I. manning and say you know what no he wasn't good enough for the regular season it was a great enough quarterback he had to epic runs but that doesn't necessarily mean the augmented soul favor you have his name in the giant ring of honor and I can understand that correct so I mean I look at Thurman Munson I think it's close I I think he's close it would not you know bill monstrosities in their Thurman Munson deserves his day wearing guys they've been they've gotten in our brains so I get it I understand it well it's a shame when I would Mattingly and the injury and the back and everything like that because Mattingly was well on his way the V. it out at all frame rate me was my that was my hero growing up as a Yankee fan love Ricky to oval swagger from Ricky when feel Jack Clark those are those are fun Yankee days for the most part they once of caves rose trees in the picture but anyway I digress yeah I think I think when you look at Thurman I think you can easily make the argument that he deserves a a bit in there but I also think it it's something to be debated but I think with the way the whole thing's been watered down if it wasn watered down then I would probably tell you that I don't think there must all fame but the way that is now yeah I think he's really close Albert Aberdeen New Jersey it's salads the fat what's going on south remove the old one so I'm cool you a local board sal you do but good good I had just got out of the shower there you go very nice yeah hopefully a nice while warm shower for yourself wake up on a Thursday afternoon there you go not clean as a whistle what's on your mind body all what with the mess where they got out of the dances I am hoping that the as was just you know first year in the big city and hopefully he can turn around you think that's a possibility with him yeah I think it's a possibility and with which is what you say about the whole thing why I agree totally with you also it if I got to think twice about somebody did the novel I mean brain because of the water it down painters and that's Ross you then look those guys really are not the whole fame is in my estimation I mean even out in that span and David right to me is I love the seeing in the hall of fame but not anymore now no no it's not a green insulted it just is not as one last thing though of what what ray was talking about all the way up that's basically being on top and enjoying being on top that's what that's all about no he's not some conflicting and Rosenberg across the way can give us a little clarity here bees sows now the fourth corner there's broad operate from the Brady called earlier in the show excuse my voice here for second me for my throat as I mentioned earlier to make who could care less flu is basically running rampant through my house make does it is on bothered by that basically didn't know what to say that I moved on through is update I kept on reading this sponsorships thanks make feel the love anyway we have about four five people call a break from the day earlier in the show said I ask him how he's doing he said all the way up as okay great good for you I'm happy to hear that right and now we have a little clarification Paul Rosenberg across the way what we got all right so all the way up it was up one person said as DJ Callie it it's not it's fat Joe okay so Joe did all the way up which I I should have known I'd input that to to to get together that's on me okay the second clarification is we have another caller call in and say what he meant by all the way up easy all the way up in the Bronx is Pelham bay got showing the northern Bronx area is all the way up right from the bay that's when he met okay so it's ray from the bay Pelham bay all the way up in the Bronx right so I'm all the way up so it is nothing to do with how is life is doing it's basically where he's living I would I would take that you know points that way of thinking over how I'm really good I'm all the way up that see I like the how my life is going more than where I'm living right I agree with that I don't I don't care where the bay is you know Monroe we go Mike the families of Mike happy holidays there mark happy holidays my concern in my blood hope you make up friend says the money so anyway and saw born June fifth one million for Robbie and this is what I want it I'm not fourteen fifty million dollars getting also all warm rounder full levy on al all but back who's who is I can't believe that what is she talking about what it was I I think what what Connors look at I'm not paying Robbie Anderson do I think there might be a team was in the red skins pay Paul Richardson from the Seattle Seahawks so there's always a market out there in there and you know there's a full born every day so there's some team that might be willing to give Robbie Anderson thirteen fourteen fifty million dollars a year the jets can't be that team here moving forward probably it is inspiring story my story come out a total drafted right he really developed hello I said some issues off the field wonder nice nice stories had some missteps again it but in terms of rise in the National Football League you give all the crowd the world I'm not paying that kind of money it's not that kind of Plano I don't know what round picks the levy on I'd want to get it second or each day also tomorrow's he's matured a lot since it's like mid season so you know I I I think not yeah thank yeah I think I think here you go through the draft to get players of the caliber of Adams the amount I mean you go through the NFL draft you want to find a lead level players is Jamal Adams Donna Lee level safety in the National Football League why would you trade him you know like what to say after games you know like the messaging is all he's doing is not the legal you not get in trouble long long one of the best records in jazz history I think he's a great kid and I agree yeah bell yeah yeah I will I look the whole idea and listen I understand that bell gays don't see eye to eye you mean to tell me you prove that offense of line **** bell okay go back to being close to a player he was with the Pittsburgh Steelers well certainly cat that but that's passed the factory they already signed him so they did that so yeah you know and he he he's a feature back to you yet you know giving it to fall okay all right yeah no that's fine one fourth round pick no one will be a salary dump it would be a case of gays and Douglas talk it out and saying give it will get some more production from Rhett running back there were not even have to pay even close to what we're paying leaving about another contending team the teams were interested that you'd be interested again though there there would be teams I'd be willing to bring live yeah Billboard even at his number Michael Massachusetts the fat was Carmichael how are you I do love Michael I believe I'm I'm not from around there I'm assuming you're a jets fan I have not no you're now you giant sand I am not no you're nothing neither will you not nothing no nothing is it in here but yes I've been a giant two years okay and I gotta tell you I can't quite fathom how you can say that day Gelman has not done a horrific job I mean to pick se Kwan Barkley is like I mean I could pick them anyone that picked up does not show any any ability as a GM and his his his true ability was shown this year in this year's draft when he's when he chose Daniel Jones at number six when he had what is being described as a generational player in Josh Alan that fell to him and I've been I believe quite sincerely that he could have easily parlayed his next two first round draft picks it was so afraid of losing Jones moved up enough spots and I've taken him and he could have had both players but I mean anything's a but number one to go back to the initial point about C. qual Barkley no I don't I don't think it's just everybody and their mother what attracted him because there are many people believe that they've got a man should never tried to take one part my point is you said that Barkley has turned out to be a great player saying that that it it it would have been very bizarre had he not been a great player so wasn't like you know that that it took a great deal of football act given to pick him yeah I mean I would take him second either my through the Penn state running backs that been busted asal football league absolutely but I mean they this won't and Thomas yeah but that's not really the point the point was the guy look like that yeah he could have been a box but quarterback he's a he's a terrible general manager is not easy if you look at it if the very fact of your bothered by the fact they get Josh our right that's really bothered by the address hello all right so he addresses and make sure that he gets his quarterback of the future of Daniel Jones it is second unless Daniel Jones Joe Montana or or Tom Brady I'm just not buying it to be Tom Brady already does have to be Joe Montana when you have to be either one of those two in but I'm sorry he's number six pick I thank you was a franchise if you go on the argument if we just let it play out here Michael we go on the argument that Jones is a franchise quarterback he is solved the biggest of the the giants have had in quite some time no that's not true because it is needed they have had in quite some time is our offensive line they signed the quarterback you don't think the quarterback is a big need of course it's a big need but you keep it but then why do you sign the line manning for on two million dollars if you're going to pick your franchise quarterback many many was on the contract no no no no no no no that's not correct.

"What you've seen here from Schirmer and really better as a defensive coordinator is well leaves you wanting when he is focusing drill down more on the head coach I think you look at him and say yeah I think he's just a guy they're really learn from his past failure with the Cleveland Browns stepped into this scenario stable franchise franchise that you really don't have to show all that much in order for them to stay the course they believe instability John one of those franchise in the National Football League that believe that long term stability leads to long term success there if you are an organization that is in a constant state of flux in turmoil like the Washington Redskins and their other franchises in the NFL it does not work when your time's when you're constantly changing the direction where you're going what's the voice what's the path when that is consistently changing it doesn't exactly lead to a successful franchise however Schirmer needed to show a lot more than he's showing if you're looking to try to win especially when we talk about as we talked about Prescott gonna get paid we need young signal callers and you're playing under that initial rookie contract evil Jones being the sixth overall pick in skin paid well that can franchise quarterback money I can pay will Russell Wilson's campaign the whole giants have to pay Daniel Jones at that point because you know what that means he's turned out but now's the time to win if you could pay other positions go out there and get yourself an edge rusher in go address the offense of line you get a lead level corner when those guys hit the open market the giants got money to spend this offseason you're not paying the quarterback same thing goes for the jets but if you're asking me yeah black Monday you days from now right before new years I was sure was gonna the government stays I think that's where the lien is right now I'd be surprised if they're both gone and I'd be surprised and stunned if they both stick.

"As we take a right up until six news is going to join us covers the jets is going to join a top of the four o'clock hour before that twenty conversation on the phone so we'll make school jets and giants into the talk as well all Yankees to Hoboken New Jersey we go it's sad that the fed was going on said a military man happy holidays happy holidays Seth I wanted to quickly take it to the mat I feel like the campus dining is one that are met fans are thrilled about seems like a no brainer move from both and with his hobby the obvious need with the bull pen and then also he is tied with Beltran Juan your thought there I don't necessarily think their don I mean just looking over the remaining I guess relievers out there in the market there's not necessarily a few guys that really moved the needle I mean there's a couple names that would definitely help I think will harass from Houston might be a benefit but I want your thoughts on the ball kind of the whole and yet anyone else that you thought would be out there and then lastly your boy Martino when he broke the news you put a video out he's got the flu Manchu bow and I wanted to see if you could probably put in a word to him to get that get that in those Seth I mean these are being yeah I'll agree with you I think the of a moral man look for A. B. Martino is not really that good looks looked like he was about to hop on a Harley and had cross country I don't think it works for a few more Tina I would agree with you there I think him breaking the news about deliberate tenses sporting that mustache was very startling I would agree with that now he is on vacation if that's this desired look he wants to have while he goes on vacation all while you're in the camp forcing guy not to they will grow a mustache I'm jealous I can't grow moustaches jealous of any more to you know being able to do so and get it to look like that would be the look that I would go for it would not be but I doubt he'll be sporting that look on as to why now to the big news about the chances I think this if you're asking me is there gonna be another secondary or tertiary moves to the bullpen act I don't see it I I think this is it are there other guys that could help yeah will harass me Hudson is a guy would be a leader at their their arms that are out there and the Mets might go bargain basement shopping I did find a another reliever to head into the makes and in hope of may be yeah catch a lightning in a bottle as the cliche would go or for calendar year but in terms of a a big money one year deal for a reliever arm that's established are the pretences was the move let's head out to the Bronx it's Louis it's the family's gonna Louis and motion I wanted I want to get back to this Jimmy Johnson don a flawless yeah hi in a piggy back off the other guy is pushing it down he was called in for and not only was the head coach who's in charge of player personnel about it also if you look at his entire five years with about sixteen will go over five hundred I would call that a failure now he was called I believe it was twelve for inclusion in a tool nine of savage independence okay now is folly here's the link best offense in the National Football League when he first took over that first year what what what any Jim arena with an aging lecture I knew what the Miami Dolphins he won eight in eight six zero one nine and seven thirty four twelve and four was his last year with the Dallas Cowboys okay all right so with the dolphins nine and seven with the dolphins ten and six with the dolphins nine and seven with the dolphins so in four years with the Miami Dolphins he was six eight games over five hundred right okay so if you want to say that's a resounding success Jimmy Johnson with that was that was not he won fifty five percent of his games of Miami I will get that Louis when he takes over if you want to go back in history when the retention of the failure of the same yeah right Eddie re down in Philadelphia went to multiple NFC championship game before they finally broke through we got themselves Lucille Ball where the patriots are way down there in Jacksonville talk about T. C. just like Jimmie Johnson won two super bowls in Dallas and could I want to get that that switches Superbowl I agree with you there but when I I'm sure you say he turns a developer of quarterback would you look at what he has been able to do in Kansas city if he doesn't if he doesn't win the Superbowl I would look at kids who've been a failure and I will be the re what hi your career was a fair use never got he's a great head coach donor regular season for some reason something happened what what that's it but we're we're changing the discussion the argument if you want so good you won't get any read and will look at him I I grew the in in the in the it's inherent in the comment that you make this is a you say it he's a great regular season player when you say coach is a great regular season coach there's an insult that comes along with it that they're not great post season players now disagree with that I think you just last year I think I've no doubt shot I'm was a great regular season coach was was was as tight as a drum come the playoffs no doubt about it Andy Reid's last year in the AFC title last year in the AFC title game the last year earlier this year he got better than I what is he can't line up all sides of the fence the lack of adjustment that you talked for them what that what that for them well once again for the entire half year for them to be able to not just offensively to what the patriots were doing defensively I mean that does fall on a calls in that game I mean we never got it now helmet on a personal Politecnico went in at over time and I and then later for a quarter the parts will get a lot of bogus calls and the freshly the the personal file blow to the head that never hit Brady's at never date was if you want if you ask any read twenty years from now if he does want to sue bowl will he look as being a huge not come absolutely Jimmy Johnson okay forget about him a German Johnson two championship her wanted very quickly so they would one day maybe another one after that would go down to Miami I don't know the bottom line is it's not a failure to honey it was in Australia I well we can I mean Louis we can agree to disagree when I when I don't want to see a wonderful what was your wonderful how many how many had called you still have the Superbowl I mean not not you see I I don't understand why you think it's some personal affront I mean we're going back now we're going back twenty five years I need to go over the dolphins one ninety six we're going back twenty three years ago for sure with my mom is ninety six three you're absolutely sure the cab was with ninety three when he won twelve four so when he takes over the program and when he takes over the team in ninety six yeah I thought I'd most dolphin fans thought that they were gonna be celebrate one of its Lombardi trophy Super Bowl gonna happen well that's all I was a little you know I thought that would be better results over the course of the four years Jimmy Johnson he asked him thought he would probably have better results to record was not great no one's taking away with what he did down in Dallas for the cowboys south of Pittsburgh PA it's Sammy it's about what's going on Sammy army and he he is so wrong so wrong and I'm gonna tell you exactly why when you are in the top thirty two in your profession I don't care if you go in sixteen year head coach in the NFL now take reach record in Philly and take his record in KC hi this and I will take read any day of the week as any sane minded NFL lover would because you're guaranteed to pretty much go to the playoffs every year regardless of the quarterback regardless of the running backs name crew receivers that were great if you coached you're right well now he's got Sammy Watkins this year hills available I'm not talking about ray Shawn Jackson I I'm talking about his past I'd say there was never right there how about tomorrow inch okay fine show Jack wasn't over Seaver and not not saying that they weren't how did he handle their egos well we well we Trillo wins was basically don't push up some woman it's for a pen in Philadelphia correct it was cold outside of them we talking about here well listen all I can you say you had a lot perfect I don't see he handle anything perfectly but when you're in the top of your profession in thirty two listen would you like to be in the top thirty two sports casters in the United States yes absolutely would be of course you would have to do is we're talking about here what is what yes we all understand find in the be a head coach actual football league is a difficult job to get I get that and the jungler you have to be a juggler in a circus because you have egos every I give him respect because he took minimal and marginal players and elevated them to championship status at listen give me the NFC championship every year the AFC championship game I'm Hey Sammy I think you know if you look down in these days in Philadelphia with the eagles they were tab that was talent on the team fry Westbrook at running back Donna make dad a quarterback Terrell Owens there were they he had talent on the team let's not make it out to be like he took you know as a team of never has and never will be is and and raise their level and they got to the NFC championship game here and you're out there was skill and ability there there's no knocking and let's also not forget I mean he had a hell of a defensive coordinator one point in time god rest his soul and Jim Johnson to it was a good as it gets as a defensive coordinator of the National Football League.

"First up here on this Thursday afternoon it's Brandon it's the fair was a brand they their most hated on my end for my call I'm good thank you hi so I like your monologue today and I totally agree with the Tampa so I think that's a solid moves as far as monetary from Pittsburgh thank Lowry and maths would get the job done that make a trade well yeah we're allow his contract get rid of Matt's yeah I mean they couldn't I mean they could I I know match would be the apple there I out and Lowry would be the salary dump yeah what they take mats that probably would I think they were too and I think I like my taste leadership it brings everything to the game that I met so lacking in terms of speed and clubhouse present from good bad because I mean you know he's he's a good player at thirty one years of age is not make a lot of money he's you know natural center fielder now of defensively metric so we'll look at that there's been a little bit of regression with him as an outfielder as a center fielder and a specially this past year last year and a half two years which is fight it happens but I mean is he better than anything the Mets have right now see that's something that's been kind of disappointing when you look at a a team that's built in wants to be defined by their starting rotation I'm still believe or not the middle defense you look at the catching spot leaves you wanting you look at second base and the lack of range now for Robbie Conal leaves a warning and then you look in center field the Mets really don't have a you know a really a natural center fielder their morte would resolve that any be the best center field option they've had in quite some time so I grew the a I think the the more to a move would make sense but I either get a sense that they were closer to making that kind of a deal maybe a couple weeks back then they are right now that's the least sense right now yeah but I I don't want to lose JB Davis I love JB Davis I think he's going to be really good down the road I'm a little concerned about that's the so I'd like to see him play the way he's been talking and all the home run for you say you're going to get but his injuries are such a big concern and I think that if we got more to say but we can maybe try minimal when left if we needed to work such reflection plan that they can make all the sense and I don't know about you I mean I I get really excited about boring and to grow when they had spoken masters out there I don't know what I'm going to get from him ever every outing then I know Pittsburgh is desperate for people no I would be a good no no I I get all that see here's the problem you mention JT Davis where you plan where is he simply yeah that's something he's not very base it was a really good I mean ideally I'd like to see the millisecond I like to put shaving at third and use kalo off the bench I don't know I can't be doing that you know that right now we can't at symbol and his number at this stage he and Robbie can know your put him on the bed and she is that's not gonna work you know that I mean I am a perfect world you like to do that but in reality that's not gonna happen so you're gonna make me third you're gonna have can know at second base right so that's your what your thoughts were those guys are gonna line they'll get JD Davis was gonna play where is he defensively as a player you can't he is a no for lack of a better way of putting it you know he's a really a negative defensively and the he is a very very good bad but here's where like I would be proactive as organization when the Mets acquire JD Davis from the Astros there was no fanfare there was no adulation it was like all right well we've got JT Davis and then he built up a resume and had big hits a clutch hits and showed himself to be a really good major league hitter right even with all the best offensive struggles with why wouldn't you play offer that entry them at the high point to where he is right now as a player I know you don't I know you like him as a player I I get that but there are other Tina like him as a player to American League team would love to plug them in as a DH to wear then you trade an asset and your training I'm at a high point of where he is right now because he's clear in a high point now as compared to where it was a year ago because the at bats and the experience a game this past year with the Mets why when you then move him to be able to strength in another part of your team because I will I will get a spot on this team right now where he's going to get this is the point I'm unless there's injuries you know that's that's a good point so what can we do can we move him okay came in that and move bad for catcher for backup catcher so maybe that's a little bit more defensive and occasionally gets the RB I homework for you a flood wall months be the starting guy will give a good backup catcher and move the access that you have in JD data and maps and see what you can get back but they're coming to mind I can't think of a character that I would want a death for those that's the issue have right now and if I move in date JD Davis and Steve about sprint appreciate the call man I'd want more than just a backup catcher I'd want I want someone I'm gonna be leaning on a day in day out basis behind home plate or or my centerfield spot or if I wanted to add you know another piece to my team organizational peace to my team and that's where you can get into a player in terms of the big name guys that I threw out earlier where its the crow Carlos Corail indoor you'll get Mookie Betts at a movie that's up there in Boston or Nolan arenado out there in Colorado with the Rockies will set out to Long Branch it's Max it's the fat what's a Max but almost you know just going on what you guys are talking about I really disagree I would never go and think to trade Judy Davis simply because history the mentalist knows probably gonna be not getting five hundred at bats and having that that death is a big thing that's something the must of been lacking over the last few years so I think holding on to J. being knowing you're going to find three hundred back alleys adding bell trouble finding three hundred at that if the world is perfect but it never is it never is any season look at the Yankees last year they navigated around so many injuries but their deaths is what got them to where they did and I think that's something the Mets might add that people are not really looking at and I think I like it maybe don't get rid of JD have that bad to rely on them what do you do that with Lowry so Larry right now is excess and and and you know what they did use the last year and this twenty six on a team this year I have a crazy different idea that I want and that's to do with this twenty six idea that out I wouldn't say now maybe but they have that extra guy use them here and there pinch hitter late in games I liked it when they got Larry personally so I can say you know I knew better but it obviously didn't pan out was a mistake if they get throw him in a trade yeah I don't even know about it or not that's something old on the one thing I wanna mess to do is something we've been talking about it with Tampa Bay and I'm not saying the opener idea you know bought my ideal was again thinking injury that six starters right now on people's dangling Max I'd love the idea of personal and Walker I never say his name right but both being the fifth a starter and telling them both to be long having them prepared to go for a full start a leper solo go go five innings and then watch it comes in and let him go as long as you can go and have them too as a two sim as starters and then you know what down the road so miserable and string someone's shoulder the gonna hurt they'll both be here any longer you separate them and see how that takes you if something anybody really is done in the majors before but now with this extra guy I think it might be a route I think it's an idea and I'm I haven't heard anybody talk about it and I'd love for them to try some like it well Max appreciate the call so it in terms of both of those guys would every fifth day conceivably would pitch depending on you know which cell gets the start the Walker relieves him and see how long you get it you know yeah it's not the craziest thing in the world I don't they the Mets are going to do that I think they're gonna look for a battle here you're writing entries to always happen and I'm not talking about when when when you look at you know training all of your depth because you want to bring up the Yankees I mean it was historic the amount of injuries the Yankees had last year in two thousand nineteen the point being that I mention about dealing Davis is dealing a guy that has value that has representative value for organization that does not have a lot of quality at this stage down on the farms there Sir farm system to deal from that other organizations would be interested in when you're looking to get creative to try and win in twenty twenty that's the point yes we can we can look at Robbie can I would think is Robbie can really going to be playing a hundred fifty five hundred sixty games this year all I could probably not that there's gonna be opportunities to get everyone at bats for the most part but can you take a little bit from that depth and strength in a week this someplace else that's the point let's head out to Albany you New York it's dead it's the family's going on any good afternoon Sir how you doing today nobody cried I work for a minor league team up here for the Houston Astros couple years ago they had a tech to come up yeah because played in all forms the solution a mystery thing Castro yeah and here is a left handed bat is thirty two years old he'll average may be fifteen home runs thirteen home once a year this guy is a left handed hitter that's quite different very well if he's the guy they should need to act and you sign in you're not trading anybody this is the guy you air now I hear everybody else talk about trading on trading anybody the match have right now I don't like a know it all but he's going to have to play because of the money but he's going to get injured he if he's heading to twenty in the end of may well what fans the media and and the Max players wanting to play so you have to have somebody in place for him you could move well while you're over there you could use our help make meal there Katie Davis is returns laughs yes but open call merry.

"Christmas enjoyed it product goes all as well and will keep you entertained here for the next four hours a lot to get into certainly the jets and the giants but an opportunity to react and do you know what I was doing some fill in shows fill in for bart with Maggie past couple weeks I thought the Mets hero to address that bull pen I love the Mets should go out there and bring delegate tasks as a board I know coming off the ruptured Achilles tendon I know and you know thirty one years of age and I understand the fact that he's a reliever that you know I times is lost the strike zone because he six eight and mechanically sometimes you can get out of whack but I firmly believe at his peak or really at his best when Delbert chances was in find reliever form I did the there was a more dominant eighth inning man in all of Major League Baseball do I think he's a closer no I do think you see a regression a bit tense is what he's asked to close games out but I do think that when he was in that seventh eighth inning roller specifically that eighth inning role only those are more dominant reliever in all of Major League Baseball now I was a big bore the Mets going out there bring a back I was even a big bore the Yankees bring it on back even after giving Gerrit Cole the nine year three hundred twenty four million dollar contract that they gave him in free agency even with the strike that bull pen it will double bed asked to be doing less moving forward here with the strength of the Yankees starting rotation please I think but chances is that good and when news comes out on Christmas Eve that delegate tasks is is going to be a met and you give him a one year deal and you know I know there's you know a bonus is there but I mean it ten million dollars for the race that's there it's a hell of a son I have no issues with the Saudi if you mean to tell me you're willing to gamble on Robbie Condello at his age at that stage of his career being a Brody guy rescuing from Seattle bring him back here to New York and make the deal that you made including Edwin D. as to bring both of those guys here but really the gamble in the race get the time was in could know because of what you were paying them moving forward and the natural regression with age it was come along with the way you really willing to take that kind of a gamble Robbie could you mean to tell me you were willing to take a one year gamble on delicatessens you were willing to give him that kind of a deal and say all right well we'll run the risk I know he's coming off the partial tear the the Achilles tendon I understand that it was coming off of injury ravaged two thousand nineteen I get it but when he was at his best he was an all star it was great for the Yankees is familiar with this market places fees prospered and thrived here in New York but if you're willing to take the gamble can no you should be willing to take the big gamble on delicatessens because Abby is peak at his best he was better than Blake tried in and his point seven eighty are a couple years ago more consistent the blink trident I'd rather have him than Daniel Hudson who last year coming off a very very good season as Ron very hot cold of the course of his career last year the straight in the most of the hearted runners of any reliever in all of Major League Baseball we saw him it's very very successfully for the Washington nationals all the guys that were left or even some of the guys that were even signed already it was worth it that gamble to me was absolutely worth it and if you're a Mets fan you should be static yes there are concerns the with this team yes you still have a concern about centerfield yes is still a concern about behind home plate I get that I understand that you have a concern in the dugout who the hell knows what Carlos Beltran is going to be in a managerial dug out you need a change Mickey Callaway needed to go but it's not like you brought in a manager with a wealth of experience those had success in other spots that man wanted in Philadelphia's they was Joe Girardi is gonna be bad for the Phillies here moving forward but even with all that you knew you had to do something to address the bull pen you could roll the same guys back out there and hope for the best the familiar was all the sun gonna be consistently in the strike zone that windy as was good it will you be able to overcome whatever her only as in between these years because it is not physical it's not a case you struggle because he was tipping pitches all season long we heard about the foot work on the mound right the placement of the feet the placement of the hands even when they change pitching coach is his struggles did continue is basically a home run mission almost like batting practice at times as compared to the year before with the Seattle Mariners were statistically is the most dominant reliever in all of Major League Baseball they want to say okay well relievers historically run hot and cold so the Mets are banking on a windy as to have a massive bounce back twenty twenty fun but he still has to overcome the pressure of pitching in New York the spotlight that comes along with pitching in New York that's still needs to be answered that question still needs to be answered and there are some that believe that he is not necessarily a quote unquote New York type of guy I'm willing to give him another chance I'm I will put all my chips in the middle of the table and said it would be as without a shadow of a doubt is going to be my nine seven guy is gonna close games and save games no I needed to have better options I would never brought familiar back I said at the time they decide to do that and give a three year contract can familiar bounce back yeah he could bounce back but I think you have to be realistic with the expectations that with the tense is coming off of injury what exactly is going to get from the chances in twenty twenty when he is healthy I would expect them to be great I'd be surprised if he wasn't and then you throw in Lugo who should grain that he's still in the bull pen because he wanted to be a part of the starting rotation after the mets' added the likes of Rick Porcello in Michael Walker in free agency the strength in the back up the back for that starting rotation to give him six reliable arms are six arms I would say most of a reliable but six options for that starting rotation or really I would say three guys for two spots right but should someone go Daddy injury you do have options moving forward you're not rolling out a guy that's gonna be absolute doormat was gonna be hitting a practice for the opponent because you believe in the talent that Walker can bounce back in A. believe that Rick Porcello who's been hot and cold every other year he's been dominant the next year he's been not so much so maybe this year for poor Sello in a met uniform growing up a met fan growing up in this area going to see a whole Pratt maybe reports sell this year is going to bounce back in a big time here and you know the limitations that this team does half but I could be spending money like the eighties that could be spending money all boss Angeles Dodgers it's not like to spend the money like the Kansas City Royals but there's limitations to this organization of what Brodie band wagon in as general manager can and cannot do anyone all in last year and this year not so much who knows what you're gonna get for me an SS but this can never win Morris they consider feel be a good enough combination well we shall see I know they've had co talks with you know the Indians and checked in online door they checked in on a car radio with the Houston Astros we know about Mookie Betts up there in Boston and we'll see if there's another big deal down the line who knows but at the base of it if it's just the here and now I'm not telling me it's enough but they brought in a row lever that can dominate they brought a lever and reliever it if he is healthy add something to that bull pen that they sorely missed a guy that is succeed in this market in the Bronx taking his talents to queens a guy that when he his right is virtually on hit a ball and he has been perennially consistent now within those years there been times where he's missed the strike zone and we saw a couple yeah we saw a couple post season runs ago where you know the Yankees could not call upon him in the bullpen because they did not trust that he was gonna go throw strikes I get all that but you were talking right now to probably I would say in this area I don't know if there's a bigger delegates and suspend the myself I love him I love watching him pitch in pinstripes I'm gonna enjoy watching him pitch in the blue and orange for the Mets there's nothing not to like about what he provides a clubhouse there's nothing not to like about what he provides on the mount and I think I like Christmas Eve for the Mets to go out after being in out in out in the pursuit of delegate tasks is to find out that that deal got done and he's coming back in staying in New York but moving over across town to queens instead of the Bronx there's nothing not to like about that movie good for the Mets good per Brody they needed to add a quality bowl pine arm and they brought in a guy that when he's right is one of the more dominant relievers in all of Major League Baseball eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six that is your number to call we get it go a little bit tense is we get go a little mad small loses with you on.

"I was addition by subtraction don't care who the hell was played quarterback this year for the Jacksonville Jaguars they needed to rid themselves of the headache that was Blake Bortles and he's gone and they bring a guy that delivered in Philadelphia there is a god in Philadelphia after help them win a Super Bowl with the eagles now do I trust the Jaguars to take down the pats will save your pictures and you know this well coached we got the greatest quarterback of all time who doesn't seem to age they just had a big time weapon and Gordon as long as he's able to stay on the straight and narrow I consider to pass the drug test he's an impact player even at what is he twenty eight twenty nine years old he still an absolute physical freak you know what you're gonna get in that'll mean yes a little bit of regression at tied it with great cast yes the news the other day with the center David Anders have a blood clots not a good sign at all god it's been a starter up there for for five years in part a you yo intj here that often supplies the rock solid but they're so well coached they know how to execute a game plan and they're no allowed to take advantage of the miscues and misfortunes of others solve your patriot fan that keeps you warm and cozy at night yeah I can't talk ya I can't tell you why you're crazy no pagers are going to be there now this is the year implodes I mean people have been saying that for six years it's all over remember when they lost a game what was it in Kansas city remember that bangles will follow a week this is the week every that it's past time is calm it's over Brady's over bell check what they do like wax the bangles that week and they went on to win the Superbowl there was a Sunday or Monday night game in which they when it can't sitting actually smoked so I don't until it ends I know people hate the phrase well I got to see it to believe it that it really is true with the patriots even when it's over I still believe it's over I mean Brady my point only sixty five years old warm part Gander what's going on in your Hey mark up what do you think the message you're gonna do with JD Davis next season I they haven't listed as an infielder but the little bit that he played third base he was really shaky I think you got a lot less damage out left field and maybe a whole spring training of playing the outfield it could be okay and I like to see him go after it red donuts are yeah it's going to cost you a lot and it always to see the nats lose out on to impact players and let him leave via free agency in back to back all seasons and now a little bit tough to see though Andrew I mean everybody I mean they they want to pay Harper or they gave me a three hundred million dollar offer but I mean some of the money was so I mean it was so convoluted where their pain until the sixty five years old so it was a three hundred million dollar offer an essence but he wasn't getting the money at that stage now Randall we know how great of a player is I mean if you're Washington now their playoff team they're three games up on the calls for the first wild card spot in the National League if shares are healthy they could be a dangerous team major player in the National League I just have a hard time not telling you would look into med uniform I have a hard time thinking then after gonna let another quality everyday player leave the building and walk out of Washington and not sign that he might one leaf but I just have a hard time envisioning that now in terms your initial question with with a JD Davis Andrew maybe also that one of my most comfortable JD Davis's as a DH yeah I know but yeah you know but I you know I there's no DH in the National League so yeah I I would not trust JD Davis in the infield I think the most the best thing you could possibly do is get him as comfortable as he can be as a corner outfielder there we have three DH is right now playing well one ones on I. L. but you know Davis no and a lot of those really should be at the edge well I don't think Alonzo is as bad as scouts lead you to believe there's going to be now he's not he's not Hernandez he's not don Mattingly at first base he's nothing like that Andrew but no I've seen I we've all seen worse for space and now he is not not the fleet is the fort not the most agile guys will make some plays a very very interesting but I can live with Alonso now pro typically if you stick Alonso in the American League would he be a DH probably yes it would be the guy that you're gonna have a defensive replacement for late in the game yeah I mean potentially you know you don't want to lose the battle line up now yeah I mean can no you get concerned about his range now at this stage mid to late thirties that's a problem you're locked into him for four more years yeah Davis what is shown here about JD Davis is it that's one there's not many malt moves in the Aussies the Brody van Wagoner can hang his hat on that's one of when the DS can no one that has not been hung anywhere JB Davis that's a good one any given opportunity and Davis would that opportunity is the law with it so I look him as a piece I don't know if I'd say that he's a foundation piece by look him as a piece now you got to find a way to play if you're gonna be built around starting pitching we also need to have a look at defense somewhere eleven seventeen and the A. M. loses with you we're gonna total fantasy football stock rambling is going to join us in studio Scotty G..

"Another chance to win Moses with you it's a Wednesday mid day file its head to the busy phones I'm dumb gap in for a little bit let's head out to Brooklyn it's Dave who seems to be taking another call as well what's going on Dave it was going on no but which I know this is going to sound a little bit bizarre because the Yankees are winning it one very nicely last night seven nothing and judge at home one this is what everybody is missing everybody's missing this everyone's mission this point Aaron church is six feet eight inches tall if you're five feet eight inches tall and you stand next to Erin judge his knees are gonna be a lot higher than yours right the hires they can not seem to realize that obviously their job is to adjust the strike zone for everybody's height but child comes up to the plate his rage was legally down there and if Manute bol comes up to the plate destruction is way way up here no one is arguing the size of this right so obviously judges a larger strikes on I'm describing where he begins and where it ends so these arms continue to hold a stressful judge were about six one or six two and he he comes up after his first home run after someone first page below this don't strike one second picture below the zone strike two he's now into your batting average at within a would you count is dramatically lower sure in what it with the with two okay okay nobody seems to be able to solve this problem I don't understand why Aaron Boone cannot walk up to the plate in front every single game as necessary until the empire's please keep in mind good morning no TV and it's a point that you know has been mentioned before in terms of the size of of our judges compared to other guys right we were speaking I get it I get it and where the the strike zone is being called now you have to make the adjustment as we've heard about four major leaguers talk about consistently right is that you want to strike zone called consistently so if you're judging you know where the strike zone begins at the beginning of the game then or in your second at bat then you have to make that adjustment as a hitter but why can't do justice for his height it's so simple here who's in David cone was commenting on it because he threw a pitch that was low and and this was like two weeks ago because it happens every single night yes okay said they keep throwing that low strike you as a pitcher what what are you thinking and David Cohen says as long as they keep calling it I as a pitcher and going to keep the whirlwind that page that would be a strike for normal that judges at a disadvantage vis the expanded strike zone for him as compared to other guys that are six three six four six one yeah I know I anyway it's a fair point I mean Dave you're you're not wrong I mean that that that you're at a a little bit of a or a significant disadvantage if if your strike zone because you're size because of your height is different than and everybody else I met that's fair but you also have to make the adjustment is a hit or do you not and that's something that you know maybe the Yankees address I mean the strike so conversation is been one that we've had numerous times regarding a whole plate umpires and what's being called what's not who calls a high strike who calls a low strikers gonna give you maybe an inch off either corner or on the outside corner of part of the plate we've seen it you know hitting the glove not hitting the gloves even if it's a strike so we I mean these conversations happen with baseball fans drop the course the major league season is judge at a disadvantage because of his size because the low strike that's being called yeah I mean Dave you're right I mean you're not wrong you're right let's head out Yonkers it's steady what's going on today all good morning mark welcome back I miss you a lot I wish you had a regular radio stint but I you do a great job on in what other endeavors thank you Terry appreciate it buddy mark the Yankees Yankee fan since you know I'm seventy years old since I was a kid I delays in seventy years young yeah yeah thanks I appreciate that are marked I went to feels like he's back to his old self with the swing I don't know if he if I had to do with the the the muscle that poll that he had but and then it's all going to come down to me mark like you said the pitching you don't know about to not that he's been he's consistently inconsistent if you want to use that term but that's at if you could go with the NH you can have the goal will take him and we hope for the best and we hope that we can hit and one last thing mark I want shell it to be on that forty man roster with lemay who they have to be I'm I'm sorry mark if it means we would all state nor Hicks you have to keep lemay who and show up well I mean I don't think there is I mean lemay you is is an all star he's been fantastic all season long and probably one of the better signings in recent memory that Brian Cashman is made money is brought aboard ever so what are you gonna do with each other may heal and look what he's been able to with all the opportunities in a given and the flexibility that you have in him as a player being able to play multiple positions and if you're all rely on defense I mean there's not a better defensive third baseman on the team that your shallow and what he's been able to provide you ostensibly is been remarkable based on what he has done in previous stops in in Major League Baseball and I will not pick up one thing that you mentioned in terms of Tanaka yes he is consistently inconsistent the regular she's not October though you know not not in October you know you don't you're not getting those horrific given a bombs out of the game early you know three innings you know four home runs allowed in again on October now that she's been a little bit different because pictures of had to adjust to the baseball I don't care what rob Manfred is the same in the baseball is different you could talk about the last drag the laces they can they can analyze the baseball tell me the same fibers are being used same same they're going through the same process to baseball's different and certain guys like say J. happy was been a disappointment this year to Yankee uniform because he's in the Tories flyball pitcher and now he's given up thirty two thirty three home runs so far this season so it's hard guys like that but it's also heard guys with the lease is maybe be a little bit lower it's hard guys that are relying on that to get a better grip when you're throwing stuff like a split finger fastball and you've seen that here this year in the regular season with Tanaka but he seems to have figured things out the one thing is the mentality I don't think the stage come playoff time is too big for Tanaka and that's an important trait the only way for you that's an important trait I remember get into debates when yeah we used to talk about Yankee players that were at Nick Swisher who was a god awful October performer I'm a nice guy there's a nice yeah I understand friendly guy smiling all the time no a sells baseball left and right I I get that but he was a terrible October perform great regular season player terrible October performer and hangs with never a confidence always thought those home runs are going to go away I always hated were bright cash was a way to build a team for the regular season a hope for the best come October that's nonsense because I know guys we've all watched baseball we've all watched ale football hockey whatever might be you know guys that are big game players and you know guys as athletes that when the pressure's on they can't play their best and I'll tell you a little bit of a decrease performance in the regular season that's significant is you have to have the talent to play the game if I know that they're going to come through when it counts the most it's a knock is one of those guys I've trusted I'm not only address Paxton even with being a seventy game what I'll trust for mon not yet that's how I see it even a Severino was how they would tell you I trust a marine I do trust aka now only one guy lot of guys down in Houston you can trust let let alone for land that's down to queens it's Christine it's a balance of Christine hi Marc gravel has spoken to in a long time welcome back thank you very much for your voice thank you I just read this morning I mean we talk about Stanton coming back in when is this one Severino coming back on the campus nobody's mentioned down here I just read this morning coming back to New York again is going to have is on what that he hasn't even started baseball activities right now what's going to happen when when it when he decides to come back in mid September is he going to be ready for the playoffs the state we're going to be ready for the playoffs it's almost like I'm afraid to take away the chemistry of the team and I know you're going to say Dan is going to play this one complex but I predations about a mark on a lot yeah but you're so invested in those players now they've got to be healthy right and ex is going to be healthy but I mean if you go on the argument Christine that they're healthy and ready to go I used to sign Hicks to a seven year deal I know it is stand is not going on you know it would be hard to think that those guys would be sitting on the bench as Ben's guys and you're gonna be rolling out camera made I I understand not all mark but my point being I haven't had enough baseball activity perhaps I don't know no I get from them it Chris well that's that's a great question and I can't hand through that with with you know full complete authority in confidence and tell you they're gonna be great no I can hope for them to be great but you're right it's it's a little bit of a another question that you throw into the equation besides the starting rotation you mentioned a chemistry I look about performance when you have guys that missed a lot of time significant actions on the right I meant I meant performance no no I know what you and I know what you make Christine yeah if you throw them into prime spots against pictures that are amped up give me a Max effort and some of the best pitchers in all of Major League Baseball what are they gonna give yeah and there is no I can answer with the certainty I could tell you I think it'll work but I can also tell yeah I see the number of guys they've come back after missing significant portions of the year instead is barely play this year and they've come in and played and played meaningful baseball and they'd give you next to nothing okay I me but they're going to play I mean Christine that's that's the the conversation what do you do you like the chemistry I I grew the it's about a mention about twenty minutes ago yeah like this Tina like the guys that have come out of no where and have performed when given opportunity there easy to root for three zero four two zero for Cameron Maybin it's easier route four G. or shell it's easier route for these guys Tom it's easy to root for these guys.

"And played off the emotion shorn start last start to the slightly anal polder tightness in the hamstring showman's been a disappointment uniform there's no doubt about it it's not about whether or not they win the games I get that's the importance of it but strong we came here wanting to pitch big games wanted to be a high impact pitcher and as we know in this market place in New York what do you define yourself as you define yourself late in the season and playoffs moments last night was a big moment for Marcus Stroman a left a lot to be desired as Russell take some deep an absolute bomb to right center field as body is goes deep going opposite field and then left searching for answers and anytime Stroman living above the leave the fast ball up in the strike zone Hey don that the movement he's not gonna sorry movement the balls to leave the ballpark exam the balls in the air in your watch a market Stroman on the mound that's a problem what led to the success of the transformation of Stroman as a starter this year was everything was on the ground he was inducing ground ball after ground ball after ground ball it was an efficient starting pitcher and you've not seen that the met uniform any talked a big game when he came here and I thought clearly he was going to be a notch ahead of Stephen mats in the starting rotation and I've been clearly wrong it can't have any more of those type of performances especially when the other guy that you're opposed against a new Darvish is absolutely deal and as this med team we talk about big games and big series as this met team say it's three games over the five hundred mark three games out behind the Chicago Cubs that second wild card spot in the National League tonight's the biggest game up until this point and they'll be more if they are able to rebound following last night's loss and snapped this four game losing streak with a victory tonight but tonight's big game must when they respond with it I mean will they be completely out of it if they lose now they will be completely out of it but the good vibes that if felt after the Cleveland sweep feels like two months ago the Braves came to town should be to be a better baseball team the Mets lack of situational hitting in that series came back to haunt them and then you get to a game last night in which their starter could not go mano a mano and that's what you brought in here for I guess like so you Darvish who's going out there throwing a dominant annex just not good enough and for Callaway now who you know who knows how this season does end up he misses the playoffs he's probably out of a job he makes the point all Steve probably it'll likely coming back it's one thing to lean on veterans but you've also got to go out and play the guys that you believe give you the best opportunity to win and I don't know how you look at Todd Frazier right now ostensibly instead of myself you know what tonight he gives me the best shot to win I just don't see it I got in last night because the defense with the man on the mountain Stroman and the ground balls I get it but the decisions last night have Conforto in center and Frasier a third came back to haunt them it's a little bit not saying that they would have been door version the cubs but would have given him a better shot to win if you had like garrison center and make the author ten seventy million I am just getting going here on this Wednesday midday Marc Millis is with your company alive from the black bear studio delicious black bear deli meats and cheeses are only at my favorite place I love it shop Brighton pro river New York a fantastic spot them a loose is go there on this day in day out basis love shop right great shot a great place to go out there and get all your groceries black bear deli meats fantastic loses just can go and Mets got disco and we'll get into all Yankees player calls as well eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six in for Joe whatever on this Wednesday midday the fan in your I needed new blinds I knew I could save a ton of money if I put them in myself but I was nervous about.
