In the 1800’s over 10 million salmon would return to the Columbia River that borders Washington and Oregon. Today that number is closer to two million. Many factors account for this change including lower water quality, a warmer climate and sea lions. Hundreds of sea lions gather at the base of the Bonneville Dam eating salmon that are trying to make their way up river to spawn. The Lions aren't as good as the Steelers
First off, we apologize for the absence of episodes for the last two weeks. We recorded a show last week to review the Buccaneeers game and preview the Steelers game, but something went wrong and Brian's track disappeared into the ether. We had scheduling conflicts earlier this week that prevented an early week show. But now we're back and we've got fresh legs. We allude to the fact that the Panthers played a game in Pittsburgh last week, but it doesn't need any discussion beyond that. We talk about the Panthers slew of running back transactions this week before getting into a preview of the Panthers versus the Lions. The Lions, so we're told, aren't as good as the Steelers, so this game couldn't possibly be as bad as last week's. That doesn't mean we don't have our share of concerns. We of course give score predictions and talk about other stuff.
