Fresh update on "kim" discussed on The Christian Science Monitor Daily

"Thanks for joining us. I'm Dave Scott. And I'm actually listening. A father showing up at school could be a kids worst nightmare. Embarrassing, right? But when a policy of dads started showing up at southwood high school in Shreveport, Louisiana, it was an answer to prayer. Let's back up for a moment. Last month, 23 students were arrested over three days as a series of fights broke out. The atmosphere among the 1700 students was tense. In response, more than 30 students and staff gathered around the school flagpole on September 29th for a prayer meeting. Within days, 5 fathers showed up in t-shirts with the words dads on duty across their chests. They didn't carry guns or act as enforcers. They greeted the students told dad jokes and walk the halls making comments such as young man. Pull your pants up. The group's founder, Michael lafitte told ksla TV and Shreveport, were not a security force in any way. We're just fathers who are changing the narrative. Mister defeat is also chair of the local NAACP chapter. Southwood principle Kim Pendleton says the dads are delivering an important message. There's someone that cares about me. There's someone who's invested in my education and in my future. The dad's on duty group has grown to more than 40 men. A handful show up at south would high daily. The brawls have stopped. What happened? Has one student told CBS News, you ever heard of a look, a dad look? As a dad, I may be biased, but perhaps there's a message here about how to deliver discipline in schools. Gently, with a sense of humor, but firmly. Like a loving father. Now, today's stories. Our first story, the top down model of change suggests that leadership in the U.S. and democracies in general is too slow to respond effectively to climate shifts. Our reporter examines the grassroots models driven by cities and voters that may offer a more credible path to progress. Heading into a global seminar and climate change, the big headline from Washington is that president Joe Biden's signature initiative for clean energy has failed to pass muster, with a congressional majority. Is meaningful climate action doomed? Some advocates have questioned whether the American political system is equipped to.

"Me share a story here. I was in the oval office with president trump. Just the two of us which rarely happens. The oval office has Well it has an entrance way from the out of office and then it has a little narrow door that goes to private eating area and little place for the president. Just sit and read. Didn't be by himself. And then it has the door to the the west wing where guests come through so you rarely in there alone. I was in with the most powerful man in the world and it is a humbling feeling truly as an immigrant to the united states. Somebody who wasn't born here. Who has an accident who always will who only became a citizen. Three years prior to be alone in the oval office is something yukon express. And i was in there on other business if i remember. Well i think it was Iran deal I was one of the two people though building. In addition to the president wanted to kill the iran deal. God bless into finally doing in the face of people like hr mcmaster tillerson mnuchin. All the other fake america first. And i was about to leave still talking about something to do with iran and the president looked at is hand. He got this very serious expression. Yeah he's a very jovial person. It's to great great sense of humor. But suddenly his face froze who's reminded of something on that piece of paper or just something came to mind when he said i really don't want americans to die on the korean peninsula. I did not want to get us into another shooting war in korea. He understood the threat. North and South Korea Both Test Missiles as Tensions Rise

"Arising on the korean peninsula both north and south korea tested ballistic missiles. Today within hours of each other over the weekend. Pyongyang's said that it had successfully launched a long range cruise missile. Its first test in six months. Sumi terry is a senior fellow and the korea chair at the center for strategic and international studies. She joins us now from seoul. south korea. Explain the timing of these tests for both north and south korea. Why are we seeing this spike. In missile tests on the korean peninsula now the north koreans usually greet new. Us president with missile tests. What was unusual is not that they conducted these tests but they took this long to greet the biden administration in conducting these tests. I think that had to do with the fact that north korea had a very unusual year with a couvet pandemic and right now there have been going through severe food crisis in economic uncertainty trade with china dropped to about a fifth of normal levels this year. So i think they've been distracted and now they are to the regular policy apprenticeship tactics by conducting the test. I think they do probably want to return to talks with washington at some point because they badly need sanctions relief. What about the biden administration. I mean do you think they interpret these. Kind of tit for tat. Missile testing as sort of way into restart talks with north korea. Yes the biden administration and knows create team. They're they're used to this. There's a long pattern of north korea returning to provocations so for them. It took awhile for north korea to return to testing and again because these are show range ballistic missile tests better than intercontinental semester. Long range. i don't think will be alarmed. But they were seeing it as a sign. I think that. Kim wants to return to talks in again. And this is a move to pressure. Washington to sort of remind the biden administration saying. Hey we're still here. Don't ignore us. We're still working on. There are nuclear missile program.

"Us has nearly eleven million job openings and yet disappointing employment numbers last week as the three hundred dollar boost. Unemployment benefits reaches its end. Welcome kyle peterson with the wall street journal. We're joined today by my colleagues w. shake columnist bill mcgurn and kim strassel on wednesday. The labor department said that american employers posted ten point nine million job openings in july That's a record number. It's the second record in a row beating out the june number which was ten point two million job openings And yet the jobs report last week for august was disappointing Labor department reported only two hundred. Thirty five thousand new jobs created in august below the consensus Forecast which was seven hundred thirty three thousand and journalists editorial last week bill calls this be biden. Jobs paradox so a bill. What do you think is is going on here. Why i think there's a bunch of factors. But i think you're right about paradox. Paradoxes people see that employers are desperate for workers and and yet You know a lot of the workers are not taking the jobs then in other words. It's not that the jobs are not available. "They would voice their opinion of things, but I will always say that my parents were more accepting than non. And I felt like that gave me the ability to grow in also make some very big mistakes in my life. And, but I you know, I think that my parents has have always allowed me to be Kim. It wasn't that, you know, I my. Said you'd have to be a hairdresser or go to nursing score. Do something what are you doing because that's what you do at that time. Okay. I'll be a nurse. And I think to if you're looking for approval from somebody, I think everybody looks for approval from their parents. Well, they do because because a lot of times when you're young. You wanna do things that, that your parents don't approve of. Right. And so, that's, that's the biggest thing. The second biggest thing is, is, is unless your parents are understanding of who you are and kind of allow you to navigate yourself through the world with guidance and help you are always going to kind of do a tug of war, because they have this vision of what they think you should be, and you have this vision of what you want to be or where you want to go once you get past that, and you're out on your own. If you're still in a place where you're seeking approval from other people it's because and I think where the issue lies is you are being and doing things that are not your true self. Not your authentic self what you need to do is stop doing things that you think are going to be approved by your friends, and going to be approved by the people around you stop trying to do that. Well, let's get into how do you seek approval from others yourself be yourself and then the people that don't approve of you doing this their whole life? I know. So you need to stop and be who you wanna be do, do what you wanna do say what you wanna do. You want to dress eat where you wanna eat act. How you wanna act be who you are? And then the people who don't approve of what you're doing. We'll fall off and you'll attract the people that will approve and will be a part of your life, you know, like, and that's where how do you get to the point of letting go of needing approval from others? It's something you've been doing your whole life. Like I said, you may not even be aware of it. So how do you see approval from other easy? Well, how do you seek approval from others? Are you hesitant to give your opinion on something? You know how others feel about when you make excuses. Do you do it to make yourself? Look better. Do you were excessively about what to wear do you ask everyone else for their opinion before? You make any decisions. Do you tune out what others are saying because you're trying to think of what you're going to say so that you appear knowledgeable, funny or clever? Are you constantly trying to please people? Are you afraid to say no do you find yourself conscious a lot and worry about what to say? Those are just some signs that you're constantly needing approval from others. Now, what we just I just had to donuts, which is horrible. And because I didn't get my three ten shake this morning. So I had to doughnuts and a half a bowl of frosted flakes and Tracy brought some grass fed organic milk. And it's like so rich it's like eating my cereal with cream. I know it's better for you. But like I'm not into that shit right now. I don't know. Anyways, you guys. Okay. So big week for baseball. And this is the last week a baseball Saturday, the Saturday, we're done so arena championship. So this. If you win if we win tomorrow's. Well. Yeah. If you win tomorrow's game. Yep. And then he'll be in the championship game. I'm saturday. Yup. And then and then the other boys they'll have we'll win canes games like this leaks. His teams the best cash they since they lost last weekend. Now, they're now they're playing for the third and fourth on Saturday. That's just ridiculous. That's just and cheater. Yeah. So that's what he doesn't have one during the week and then JJ has during the week. And if they win this one in there in the championship on Saturday. Okay. So let me tell you about K J. Okay. You guys. So again, Matt Whitmer and Croix our coaches together, they're really good positive team, Matt travels for work. So when he does Corey fields in as pitcher, which I'm sure I'm sure you guys have seen on my Snapchat, and an Croix is, you know, the the head coach. So that's just kinda how it works out. Well, Matt's realized that this Thursday. Game day he realizes last week that he's going to be out of town. Unfortunately, he I guess he tried to move a schedule just wasn't this week. The only day this week that he's out of town is Thursday. So he had asked the other coach to switch the game. He could do a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or Friday any other day, please. But Thursday, the coach I guess went to the other team, which I guess isn't the truth, but went to the other team and the other team said, no, you know, what? Well, he said, yeah. The parents dependent said, no, nobody else can shift Thursday. I'll return I was trying to say like what wasn't the truth was. He said all the nobody. Nobody can switch. Everybody has to do Thursday so mass dammit man like 'cause he pitches to the kids every game. Unless a town of obviously, this is a very serious game. The kids are used to hitting off of Matt who does a great job, but they're used to hitting off a Matt's pitches. And so I guess we kind of find out through the grapevine that that he actually just asked appearances Thursday still good for everybody and everybody responded. Yes. Instead of saying, hey, can anybody do can we do a Monday Tuesday. What do you guys think about Wednesday Friday any day but Thursday, so you know, what? We're going to win. It's called karma. And we're going to be rowdy. We're going to be fun. We're going to be positive, and I can't wait to tell you guys that k- Jay tactic didn't work. It didn't work. Like, you're just a douche canoe. Like, why would you do that? You're you're just because you want to say one up it's not playing with integrity..

I have a jolly rancher in my mouth caches gave me one of his that is nanny gave him and Croix told me like you cannot be making weird noises. You're going to be like it's going to irritate people. I'm like, I'm going to doll. I can put it in my cheek so see how long she remembers that it's inter- mouth before we start right? You guys I am laid on this podcast because for the last four and a half days. I've had a screaming fever. I've only had a fever like twice in my life. One was last year when I was throwing up which I think I've only thrown up twice in my life. And then when I was younger, but I just don't get fevers. So I didn't even know what I was feeling, but I went to I went to the doctor on Saturday got an antibiotic z pack, which I love so much and got z pack, fever, finally broke, the smaller Ning. So I'm back up and running miserable for four days, MS rubble and of all the weekends in the world to have a fever Super Bowl weaken when I'm invited to the Rolling Stones party after like, Hello, second one your budget the first one, right? That was just one Jenn. Hobby from star ninety four invited me to the giving back fundraiser big game. Big give which was like, a huge honor black eye peas perform ludicrous hosting it like, huge sewing cited. Do you guys know that I had a screaming fever? It kinda went down a little bit. I started my antibiotic. I got my hair done makeup done dress on shoes on and core. I don't think I don't think you're gonna make it was like, I don't think I either. So this is like eight o'clock Saturday night. I tried so hard to go to these events. Knowing that took all you had to get to where you were before we're supposed to log out the door took all you had like to get dressed to sit there. Again, make done took all you said, you have no idea what you're about to walk into that. I can do it. I I said Kim, I said we we don't know about parking. I say we're probably gonna have to park our car somewhere else, and maybe grabbing Uber. I said you're going to be in the back of a car sick shit because guy does not drive. I said you're gonna have to deal with people. I said there is so much press at the Rolling Stones party. From people magazine too. I mean, just you name it they were there, and I was really excited talk about cab in the new season and don't be tardy and just all these good things. And and that's when I thought to myself, you know, what you're not funny right now, they're not bubbly should quite frankly. You don't look that hot. Okay. Your face is pretty puffy. Not quite so I just looked at Cronin said, I just don't think I can do it. And Brielle was waiting on me. And she's like what you're dressed. What do you mean? You're not coming. I'm like, I can't come. So she's like, I know you don't feel good. So I was mad prostrated pissed disappointed so irritated, and and then even yesterday I woke up with with like a hundred hundred one fever or something and took excedrin migraine because had such a headache of broke. And then it see like at three or four o'clock. I started with the whole thing again. I just I don't know. I was over at my kids cash yesterday talk cash hundred and two fever sick on the couch. Face bright red prior to that it was. Kyon I've had fevers for three days together..

"What why did you enjoy spending time with that person was at the semi a same interest? What she funny was. He funny was was she Q like don't lose sight of that friendship. Billy change, you know, people grow and change. And I think, you know, like, I'm a Taurus y'all, and you know, I don't really like change much, but people do change they grow life evolves. You add children to the mix you at different jobs. You're a home whatever you so you have to Volve, and you have to grow except enjoy the process that you're in. It's not always going to be the same right? Of course. But but your friendship has to evolve. Right. So intr-. Changed? So just because when you met somebody they had no interest in old classic cars. And then one day he just happened to be flipping through a magazine and something caught his I, and then all of a sudden he starts this new hobby of old classic cars. You have to evolve. And maybe one day, you take them to the auto auction in Tampa, Florida, you know, because Verde because that's what he all of a sudden like you have to evolve with your friend, right or you're going to it's going to dissolve that friendship will dissolve because those new interests that they when you're young you'll going to the club and partying in the local watering hole. And then when you're fifty you like going to the park in the rose garden and spent time with your kids or right? The club does no longer interesting to you. So shame being if it is it's so probably reevaluate that if if the right? All right. That's why people separate because somebody either revolves passive our friends separated recently we were shocked. They've been married for like twenty five years, and he was always in Navarre every night super respectable. Oil, you know, jobs always in a bar every night, and like to me that was like shocking king weird, but he's still had that interest in. She didn't and wanted to be doing something different. Like that was maybe main connector of they're getting divorced now. Right. So that was a primate connector of their friendship, and that when that's no longer there. Then then she doesn't feel like she has a friend anymore. I think maybe that's what I'm interpreting. Now, I totally understand here you all right? You guys. Thank you so much for tuning into this episode of house of Kim. I swore that you guys. "Now back to house of kin. So I'm miserable. Have to be honest with you, it really slowed me it really stopped me dead in my tracks. Because I've never been in a position unless it's been elective tummy, talk boobs or whatever where I couldn't do something. I couldn't do anything for the kids. I couldn't do anything for myself. It was extremely frustrating for somebody like myself that's always on the go. And so I do vow in two thousand nineteen to take better care myself. And I do believe that had I taken care of this situation or how to look that back in April when it really got bad or even five years ago that I wouldn't probably be in this position today. So I think it's a note and especially for all moms because we're always on the go always have one hundred one things going on. We put everybody before ourselves that if you're not healthy health is wealth. If you're not healthy. What's the point? I was literally stuck in the bed. Cora had to take him to basketball. I couldn't do shit. So I was able to go to their basketball game because I didn't want to miss it. So this is a funny story. Of course, hey, I'm gonna bring a chair for you for the basketball game. Sometimes we can get a chair. Sometimes we can't sometimes they have enough. Sometimes they don't. So we. We bring this chair Creuset. It's like a fold up chair, but it has had on it that way it will work. So I always go to the end of the row crying. I kind of sit there with the twins and and watch cashing cage play. So we're sitting there watching the game. And you hear this Bockel? I look over to the right in one of the dads who so sweet fell flat on his ass. The entire chair broke out from underneath them. He wasn't even doing anything. So the tier on old is it reaches a point where there's like a. Mechanism that holds it kind of right there, and that mechanism gave loose. And so it totally like that totally sandwich. Like flattened out the chair just kept going. There was no mechanism to hold the chair up and totally sandwich. So he hits the ground. He does like this little Rolley Polley roll backwards. Poor guy. He's embarrassed. I go over there. I'm like, oh, my God that was so athletic because he literally like you look like a ninja says because he looked like a ninja when he hit the ground like Boston and roll. And it was it was and he was up, and he was totally fine. And I was like, I don't even know if I could have been that when a chair frickin pops out from underneath you. And so he was like. Yeah. Right. But it was it was funny. And he looks over means, I if I hear about this on your podcast, I swear to God. So I had to tell that story. Just because it was really funny. But you guys my been me. In that chair? I would have been really he had no idea that my back was injured. And so anyways, everything happens for a reason. But I have been in was so incredibly frustrated Croix rubbed. My back you guys with Kasmir lavender oil coconut oil. For hours and hours, and that really helped with the inflammation. So thank you Honey for that one was very very sweet of you. And I think that's automatically. You know, what got me over the hump? You know, Brielle will not let me tell you guys Dr Malusis first name because he's so incredible. And so busy brother, so you can can pick which mood. She impre. You get the. We'll have Maluzi on our podcast you guys berry soon. We'll have people kind of right in and ask questions that he can answer. He's really awesome. So anyways, that's the story on my back you guys. So I am very sorry. That I've kind of been out of the loop wasn't posting wasn't doing podcasts at all was barely surviving. So I'm glad that I'm back up and running. Thank you for. Thank you for being so sweet in Los Angeles. She. Definitely somebody up when it comes to Ramallah. That's for sure. So there's there's no doubt about that network..

"She's like car proxy on me on the back mind. You realize like, wait a minute. This girl got my mom, which she didn't. And now my mom's encouraging me to get justed. So brielle's like slightly like really like they can yourself. My mom's a shady bitch. Okay. Because. Little concern. And I'm on a bed, and which has no support because it's soft and squishy. And so like nothing's popping. Really, it was just condition then the brielle's like I think we need to call nine one one Croix, and like we're not and she's like, it's my mother, and he's kissed my wife. We're not calling. No, he said mind your business. And I said, it's my mother everybody is calling on. I said, no, you're not mind your business. She's like, she's my mother. Okay. Nobody's taking away from you. So I look at Croix in his face you guys. And I'm like get outta my face now. Like the crazy bitch in crazy literally going to sound and say, maybe we should post this. I don't care. I don't care that was the worst pain today. I've ever been in in my lifetime. So I feel like at the same time. All she sings CRA helped me help me help me. What do I do help me? And it's like I can do anything we can figure out anything he can fix anything. He can get make things he could take things down. Why are you not fixing me? And I'm trying to offer my advice, and you are not receptive to one single thing. It's understandably I don't I get. I don't know if this guy expected me to explain exa- and detail. What you were feeling. I'm saying I get why you were under sponsored. But you just it was it was I don't know. Like, I was trying to help you unresponsive yet. You still wanted my help? But then you didn't want my it was just it was just Finally I think the part that was frustrating on me and cries and was that we gave you every solution move. If I could show you couldn't phone I would. Wouldn't move. Couldn't it move physically could move so the pain pill. So check this out you guys ready. So the paint kicks in a little bit. Like it's enough for me to use a chair as a Walker which had already been doing prior to the chiropractor getting there to get around and I dealt with this seizing up and the spasm consistently in my back. There was no relief. It's like having your ass looked weird. It looked like it was like could choke you. Right. I was so so. The other thing too. Is that if you were to look at me, my my muscles my, but was flex, you know, like, you flex your muscles. My but was permanently flex and it remained this way for several days. Okay. So my instead of my being relaxed it was completely in a flex position. And the muscles that I was talking about that were bulging where bulging out by five or six inches at this point from the back. So I get to the bed and the chiropractors like willing to do anything. And so my I'm texting my my chiropractor here in Atlanta Baluchi helped me got he said, well, you need to do that trick. I said we'll punch me in the stomach. I can't. He said we'll have her push with us. Give system pressure insistent pressure kind of between your crotch and your belly button area. Well, she takes her palm in this girl is strong as a lip. She takes her palm and pushes on my pelvis, basically, my pelvic bone, and she's pushing it into the bed. She's taking all of her weight in to my pelvis and she held it there for over forty five minutes. And she just kept saying to me, you're the strongest patient..

"So I take about forty minutes. And I shimmy myself women men to the like I do end up getting off by shift like shifting my hips. And like using my my knees they can on the floor, and I kind of pushed myself up from the it was fall off the table kind of role at the same time to your knees. Then kind of because I. Czar? I want this chiropractor. No disrespect to her out of my room because I'm embarrassed. And I want her to go work on Brielle. So that so that I can have my own space in either stab Croix in the eye with a needle or call nine one one. So I the second I go to stand up you guys. I my back is spazzy seizing up to a hundred it goes to one hundred and it stays that way. So it's no more of these these periodic jolts of agonizing pain. It's a consistent on a scale. She kept asking me on a scale of one to ten I said, it's Conforti. It's a forty so it ceased up for for over forty five minutes. I have never today in hope to never I'm gonna knock on some would be in that kind of pain. Again, I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy. So now, the only thing that alleviate my pain prior to the chiropractor was kind of sitting forward leaning like on say like underneath my butt cheeks on my thighs and kind of leaning forward on on a table kitchen table. It was actually in the hotel room. So I try I was using her bed. Her chiropractic bed to lean forward on which was much lower than the table. But it was still. I mean, there's nothing I did was working. So I always have as you guys know emergencies annex two of them in my bag in case I ever get stuck in an elevator. And I always have an emergency pain pill. God forbid somebody hurt themselves or need something before paramedics can get there. So Croix the one thing can did. Right. Was going get the pain pill. So he brought the pain pill to me, and I took that in for forty five minutes, I dealt with agonizing pain and I-. Meanwhile, correct. I'm leaning on the chiropractors table so brielle's in the other room, by the way in her own makeshift, dude..

"So I'm like crying, and she's just she's trying everything I feel some relief, you know, laying down well after about thirty minutes. She's like, okay. Let's get up. We're gonna go over turn over to your back or whatever will you guys? Busy cly can't get up like I basically can't move. So I'm I'm telling my body to get your fat ass up. Move your legs. And I physically can't like it's like, I have no strength. I have no control. I'm extremely claustrophobic. So I started like going nuts with those thoughts. Like, I can't move. All my God. I let that go quickly because the pain was overriding so trying to show me on the floor. How to get up basically rock back. So like rock back on my put my, but basic. On my heels, if that makes any sense, so I tempt that but second I'm at about six inches up ping, ping, my back espousing seizing up. So I just immediately dropped I am in so much pain. You guys hysterically crying? It's me Croix this car Proctor who's never met me and Brielle in our room, and I'm hysterically crying. And I'm like yelling at create like, I can't get up. Like, you don't understand like, I'm not doing it. 'cause I'm a pussy. I'm not I physically can't get up. So I it took me about forty minutes. "So I'm texting my chiropractor. And I'm like, what can we do? He says, you know, have cried you this muscle this stomach thing. Where like I put my hand on my on your stomach. I use my other hand I push like really quickly to like your lower back. And then I release. I don't know what it's called. So I I was willing to let Croix obviously, try anything to help me feel better. Well, when cry did that instead of it, which I hate when Dr Mucci does it to me, I'm always like holding his hand and preventing him. I'm doing it. But this time, I'm wide open. Go ahead. Croix croix. Did it like somebody punched? I almost threw up. I almost he punched me in the stomach. You didn't do this trick that militia dead? I mean, I did I just some longer. I guess I don't know. I did not. No, you have no idea what you're having idea. 'cause I he does it to me every week absolute hell, so he was pulling my hips out. He was I was laying on this lady's floor concrete floor. I it was it was so YouTube is YouTube ING, I was taking more Advil. And I had anti-inflammatories are. I'm sorry muscle relaxer than I took with me. Thank god. I took that that's shit. Didn't work long story short. I'm miserable. We're going to go back to the hotel cancelled all of my stuff, no dinners. No, nothing. I get back to the hotel, and I post on my Instagram. Please you guys I need a chiropractor in Los Angeles. Now a little back story on Dr Maliki archive practice. He's traveled to the Netherlands to learn. Off he's way beyond. Yes. He does the falcons, but he's way beyond a true chiropractor. He's kept my twins in me longer. I feel like he's also brought down my blood pressure. He's he's a justed fixes. My head are out of place knows is not contacting with my brain. When your brain's not working. He taps on it often. Anyway, he's adjusted the baby since they were born Cain, especially because he was born breach. So anyways, he's like a miracle worker, and I'm fully aware that not a lot of people are late Mulugeta. Right. So the big difference just is is most chiropractors make they don't make a ton of money. Right. So the model in Cairo to school is is fifteen minutes in and out. Right. So they look at you. They pop the normal bones. And they send you out the door. Muluzi and minimum spins our with each client that just goes to show you how intensive his adjustments are teach X energy. He can check just a lot of different things too. Really get your body aligned, and he has multiple different movements and multiple different adjustments for each certain area. So that the body at the end or is a whole versus kind of popping hand popping there and sending you on your way, and I'm very much a train wreck from I went to the wind chill that eighteen like, I've told you guys in the past. And so my cranial bones are unstable my hips from having so many children are unstable. So if Mucci to adjust like my atlas, for example, and he doesn't adjust my job. I would have a horrible migraine the following. He just knows me too. And he's just there anyways. I post need a chiropractor. My friend says oh, great. We have a chiropractor. She works with the LA. Rams. I'm like great Senator to my room, right, please center to my room. She's so sweet so kind she comes to member about three hours later. Now, I know that when I have this type of injury that I cannot lay face down. Because basically the way that Malusis explained it to me, and what happens is that my tailbone is pushed forward, and so it needs to be pushed basically back out and. That's what he does. When he does that little quick movement through the stomach to the back of my side bomb, laying on my back. Well, she tells me the land my stomach and mind to at this point. You are Ryan really far gone like. If you're talking about a scale that progressed through the day you start at a one by the time it got back to the hotel. "We're heading to LA were going to see Dr Cassese, Ian. I desperately need. Bo talks. I desperately desk. Really need both talks talks. You guys is is an art like people can really make you crazy. If you've kind of Google me, you know, a few years ago. My eyebrows were literally like spock's, isn't it spock's where they're like up his kind of look, horrible eyebrows. Okay. So anyways, Dr Kosei be and I had a couple of meetings. There had a lot going on Kashmir meetings. What have you get to LA all is good first day? It's actually pouring rain the entire trip which never happens. The only other time it's ever reigned the twenty years I've been going there was chloe's baby shower and March so yeah, you're pretty much not really closer. Anyways, you guys. So birthdays, gray all his good. You guys next day. I wake up and my back is on fire. Well, not when you woke up it was kind of. You're like, oh, man. Yes, you're like Jesus like sucks like you've you started to feel like something was out of place. Yeah. But it wasn't. Agonizing yet. It was just kind of like, so I took some excedrin Advil, and I had a couple of meetings at morning. So when I got out of the car to go to meeting at ten AM, I was like dragging it physically prevents me from walking. It's like a very you overcompensate with your hips, your whole like my whole right side was a mess, but it was pulled on the left side anyways as the day went on. Is the pain is in above your. But it's my it's inside your but crafts, basically at my tailbone. I'd say for my buck crack to about two inches about my above my top of my bustled is so that like the very like your tailbone and your low low low back. Yeah. Right. Either way we don't need to be this explicit. Basically. My asshole itself wasn't hurting, but deep inside the bones for okay? Okay. Explicit at all. So I'm like talking my tailbone. It's an keeps. Like shocking me anybody that has back pain or muscle. Spasms knows what I'm saying. It keeps like you don't wanna move 'cause you're afraid of that that one second ping jolt squeezing like your muscles to debt. Oh, hell anyways. We have to drive pretty far to get her eyebrows. And that's where the bulge started. It was your low back was the muscles you right because you're apps couldn't because you can't once you're pregnant to that point your apps are worthless. And so that's what's holding you up. Right. So of muscles were super overwork. So those same muscles reappeared slightly with cash nothing too crazy and a little bit more with the twins. And then they would you know shortly after delivery within six weeks, they weren't as noticeable. I've never had that arch. Had so desperately crave. Ladies where it makes your look bigger. And it's like this huge arches, just so sexy. Honestly, you do not not really not not to the point where I almost like a weirdo or my app like if I was a land my stomach. I want my ads like twelve inches up in the air in my stomach like touching the bed, for example. And so every issue had your about Scott bigger. So because you've had the hernia because you just have lacked core strength for so many years being pregnant you. You're what's holding you up still to this day are those muscles. So those muscles are, you know? It's like if you do curls every single day, you're gonna have some big as biceps. Well, if you work out your back muscles. And that's the only thing holding you up you're gonna have some big ass back muscles. Okay. So you want to tone those down to have a bigger curve. You got to train something else to hold you up which client. I can't even do. I know. That's okay. So anyways, I had the baby and eleven I had a baby. And twelve to thirteen and then in fourteen Dr hawk Stein, Leonard hawk signing, Miami, the king he had to before he fixed, my hernia, which was incredibly large and gave me a full tummy talk. At the same time tightened all of my muscles gave me a breast lift like I was back to eighteen baby. All of that was well, so it gave me kind of false sense of security, and my when my core was also kind of had Fauchon scar tissue. So that's really really helped me over the years. And I think that's why I've not had any issues. Honestly. Okay. We're all looking for a fresh start this time of year. And for most of us are New Year's resolutions are about being healthier. "Have your podcast and every Wednesday on your drive to work. You will have your podcast. I promise you from this day forward Wednesday starting Wednesday unless something crazy comes up. Speaking of Wednesday, you guys again, we want all of your prayers for Tracy. She'll be having surgery Wednesday morning fingers crossed all his well. And I will keep you guys updated on that as well. And. We really appreciate your sweet comments under my post, and all of your support the power of prayer is so significant honestly, I've always I mean, I believe in God. And I believe in prayer. And when this incident happened with cash, I firmly believe that cash healed and didn't deal with a quarter of the things he could have had it just been, you know, juice. Would you say most prayer is positive anybody? Pray like, nobody's really praying. They typically right like gotta kill way. Too much. Be my new my ex husband's new wife shits the bed. It for you. It's like, I think if anybody's praying appraiser is typically mostly positive, so I think prayer positively, positively is everything right? Is nobody's praying negatively if somebody's saying a prayer, it's a prayer positive for them. Right. It may be negative towards somebody else. But ultimately, it's positive for them. Right possibly. I mean, possibly I do believe in the power of prayer, and I lived it's always positive. Yeah. So however, you want to look at it. Okay. Prayers are usually positive positive speaking things into the universe crepe, positive positive life, positive thoughts, positive life. Also, you guys we have my beautiful baby girl. Brielle Biermann joining us actually from the Bahamas on the phone because she feels the need to talk also about our trip in LA and. Exactly what she went through with me as well. So I just want you guys to know that brio and Cory will be ganging up on me. I'm sure and. Absolutely. Truth. I'll be telling the truth. Okay. You guys. So listen, I over the last six months, eight months or so random times nothing. There's no rhyme or reason to it. I will get this really bad back pain to where I literally can't walk. It's almost like I have to talk my tailbone under hunched over, and I get these muscle spasms that are kicking excruciating. And I can't walk up stairs half the time. I have to sit in my makeup chair oddly. It's like a running joke with my assistant, Brandon. But I call Dr Muluzi to the house the chiropractor the best chiropractor in the world. He comes he fixes. And then go about my day. No biggie. Right. Well, obviously, a normal person would find out why keep having these issues. Nope. Not kim. She just keeps moving forward. So. Well, I think it's not whether that you find out we assume that you know, obviously, something's kind of out of place which typically is because he's able to adjust it back and welcome back to your normal day. Maybe twenty four forty eight. Eight hours later throughout the course of the last six months, well when I had the twins you guys they're twenty nine minutes apart because Kaya was head. I came was born twenty nine minutes later breach. So out the who Honey. So I do believe from that delivery something happened to my tailbone because for the following year to year and a half I would have to slide out of chair. So like, I would sit down, and then my tailbone would hurt so bad that I kinda slide my ass out of the chair quickly stand up and deal with that jolt of pain, and I did that for like a year and a half. My film crew got me special pillows to sit on for interviews that kinda helped, but I would like agonizing pain quickly, two seconds..

"And now back to house of Kim. So I think maybe the next day is when Kim was like, all right. Let's call your doctor. So she gets coy out there. Not only did they make a forty five minute. Call my doctor they recorded the because Tracy can't remember every time I would ask Tracy, right? A couple of things here back. Let's go back. I don't want Tracy to get caught on in to get the tumor removed unless we know for sure what we're dealing with. You know, a lot of times when cancer is caught on her in that vicinity it can spread. So I want to keep everything contained if that's what it is. So when she says, you know, we're gonna remove the tumor. I'm like, no, we're not. So I start kind of just going into like nurse moat per se trying to pieces together. And I would ask your question. I don't know. I don't know. And I can't remember what he said. I'm like, how do you not remember what your doctor said when she calls when I said, you know, what you're I'm not getting anywhere with she did this to the doctor too. So he would say doctor, so okay, explain to me what is going on here. And he says, well, there's she's like stuck right there. Wait a minute. Why would? Did you do that? And he explains smart stuff. And she's like, okay. I guess that's okay. Go on. I mean, when she, you know, and he's a wonderful awesome. Doc, very knowledgeable, very sweet setting wasn't overly concerned because of her age which saying I'm a interesting case because of my age, it's just the different. You know, he said if I was post menopausal right, then he'd be very worried because numbers are high. He said because you're pretty pre-menopausal in my numbers is seventy. So the normal range is wanted twenty. And he says he doesn't worry until it gets to be two hundred. He said for postmenopausal he worries around. I think he said thirty five thirty seven thirty-seven, listen, you should never have an allegation that number period. However, inflammation, and there's see once you know, that marker is true, blue indicator. They say of a cancer marker the other one which I can see it on your paper. The other tests hold on is measures cancer as well. But it can also be indicative of endometriosis, inflammation that sort of thing. So well that was kind of my mic questions for the doctor. Well, once Kim and Croix decided on a surgery plan for me. They all agreed and said that, you know, they'd see me later which tomorrow actually going for my pre up in the following in a few days. Wait, hold on. So I asked the doctor all these questions, right? Because there's you know, they want to they want. They're going to take out the tumor. And if there's anything they're going to they're taking the entire ovary and philosophy to they're not gonna right, which is I should say that right? Let me be clear, and so they'll do that. If there's anything else..

"As she shares her journey to success and the positive mentality that brought her there come on in and make yourself at home. Now, here's your host, Kim zodiac Bearman. Welcome to this episode of house of Kim and Croix we should say an Croix your house paper, the Bearman house or something. Oh, yeah. Right. So we were trying to get this podcast together. We have to we have a flight to catch in just a few hours at four thirty in the morning. Head to Los Angeles. And I said, you know, we're not gonna get into all there's nothing that's really gone on with us. We went ice skating the other day, but there's nothing that's really gone on. Thank god. Let's knock on some. That's plastic. Would we want them football? We watched football football. I really will be pissed if the saints play in Atlanta football. So that's I don't chat my. Yeah. Really irritating. So let's just how about how about the patriots eight straight division, titles, any female listeners. Probably they would just want to arthritis right now. But y'all like Tom Brady, I'm sure everybody thinks Tom Brady's handsome. He's are. Okay. He's got he's got the competition direct line to Jesus because he's well. Who who I mean, we record and his insane. Obviously Tom Brady's Corey assigned book by Tom Brady for Christmas as I'm talking about Tom Brady saying he all right? But yes, I did do that for Croix. That was cool. Well, I think you know, Tom Brady has definitely found the keys to success in in. I think one of the major ones is obviously hard work and time spent appropriately in and dedication and commitment, and and focus and really being hyper focused, and knowing what it's gonna take me. Really? No, no, nobody really knows what here's my opinion. Here's my take on his success as a person in and just as an athlete. He was very fortunate to be in an organization that was run very, well, and his surroundings were very supportive of that. Remember what he said supporting offense environment not had that all the time. No. But he said he took a pay cut. Right. Right. Well, and so in his defense, and they written about this. And I mean, I think we've come at Tom Brady from every angle anybody possibly can from reporters to, you know, media people to fans to critics to everybody, but he was able to take a quote unquote, pay cut like I mean, what's Paker the dude mixed fricken twelve million dollars a year pay cuts who making. Making way more than that. Right. Not very much like twelve million eighteen sixteen. Right. Right. Right. Right. I mean, what's pay to him? But ultimately, you know, they say he was able to take a pay cut because his wife was so successful. So their their income was their incomes combined way. Supersedes any of of a single players was is always a supermodel, right? I mean, very very successful person so combined their income supersede any NFL player, maybe double fold, you know..

"Now back to house of Kim. Guys, positive segment the road of trials in a miracles. We are going to make this year king incredible for real it's been trying for a few of our friends. All ready this year. I mean, I think almost the same day as a matter of fact, a couple of my friends got some some bad news and have been going through some things. So always keeping them in our prayers. So we're going to talk about kind of going through just you know, situations that are not ideal and kind of so let's talk about that. Joy people are positive segments. Upside down the patch. Your goal is not always going to be smooth. And I think that's a lot of people. How do you stay so positive or your life's perfect? And that's why you're so happy. You know, I get all those wonderful on my page but obstacles do arise problems will develop. But you and I have to remember what we're striving for. You cannot forget the big picture. Don't let mishaps or small failures stop you. And I think that's key every obstacle or challenge you encounter on your journey. Tramps transforms you, and you acquire strength of character and the qualities and abilities, you need to overcome the obstacle or challenge. I think it's really when you reflect back on your life on some of the things that were the hardest thing to overcome. They made you the strongest. I think that challenges and obstacles are great indication that you are well on your way to an incredible place. I think like I said, you don't just. End up there. You don't just wake up tomorrow and end up there,.
