"To take seven nights off and you want to see the coastal towns. The best way to do that is obviously on a cruise. I highly recommend that if you're only going to go to Alaska one You make it try to make it the cruise and the tour because you don't really see much of the interior. Obviously, when you're doing just the cruise up the coast. You want to see the analogy you wantto see Fairbanks and and have spent some time in Anchorage and spend some time with the local Alaskans more than just appear. Ports that you're calling on which are absolutely awesome in and of itself, But just a little bit of Alaska. I have a couple more tidbits that I wanted to share with you. Speaking of Cruz is one of the ports that almost every cruise line south that is Juno, which is the capital. And I bet you didn't know that you know, is one of the on ly capital cities in the United States that is accessible on ly by boat or playing. You can't drive in and out of, you know, there's no road to get in the mount of Juneau so and it's also the largest city of their covering 30 3108 miles. That's you know for you. But in the one other two bit Rob, the largest salmon cotton, Alaska was on the Kenai River and a couple of these tours. You actually visit the Kanai River, and it weighed £97.97 a half pounds to be exact. So that's a little tidbit for you. I love it. Hopefully, we've picked your interests today. Things Alaska. We didn't get any caller of me makes me think people are either in the car enjoying the ride, enjoying this beautiful, sunny day. Ondas Rob. It reiterated that Triple A publication is out. There's some itineraries in there to pique your interest. There's also some virtual travel shows You conjoined a son. We have Viking River coming up next week, and we have.

"On W. M. A. L. can't wait to talk to you you want to watch the little colors in the numbers on the graphics go ahead put on your favorite cable station turn it down you know to hear them jabber natural about thrills up their leg and then listen to us right here on W. mail all night long coming up we've got Leslie Marshall Democrat strategists from fox news give you her take on what's going on in her party and then we'll hear from Cassie Smedley sees a spokesperson for the Republican National Committee also Sean Spicer former spokesperson for that same entity joins us coming up the five o'clock hour and a look at their our old friend Brian Wilson who hosts the morning show down in Nashville they had a heck of a tornado go through that city and Brian literally was there first hand witnessing and we'll hear from Brian Wilson tell us what's going on there in beautiful Nashville coming up a little later in the program right now Selena's ito joins us he's a national political reporter for the Washington examiner of course her book the great revolt inside the populist coalition reshaping American politics is what you need to know about what's going on in politics today in the age of trump Selena happy super Tuesday you happy super I think your latest column here at the examiner centrist flirt with Democrats in the party re bust them is a great allegory as to what we see happening at the national level now you're talking specifically about Allegheny county just outside Pittsburgh Pennsylvania tell me about you what you witnessed there and what it means to the Democrats writ large here on a national level well first of all thanks for having me on he is the county it's the most populous county in western Pennsylvania is a democratic county Democrat registration number and to be more conservative but overall in local elections Democrats run of the tables here have been held the county executive office for five consecutive turns in a row and also held the county council and the mayor's office and and so forth the party is going through this is or using a fight between the Bernie progressives and some of them are DSA members democratic socialist members who have won a handful of each year one when it county cancel C. one wanted to one state representative seats and these candidates have won in general elections two years ago two thousand eighteen and and so they believe that it is now their party as opposed to it has been pretty close he says for at least a since two thousand and two has been able to hold its coalition of white working class middle class African American and also the business class but as the years progressed and he sort of to the left sort of burn hello one a race here or there although we believe it is there now their party and there is very little tolerance for other people that are moderate and is essentially because the party to fall apart yeah sure it is also happen in Lancaster County Pennsylvania and while Lancaster County is a conservative or wait county and gave its votes to trump in two thousand and eighteen for the first time and I think forever or maybe ever several of the suburban races in the off year elections went to Democrats so there was sort of this building of the moderate coalition within the Democratic Party well unfortunately for the woman that was running it shouldn't even though they won the seat she was handed the door and the progress of took over and and listen this is critically important in the region you're talking about because one of the reasons real rationales behind the idea of Joe Biden being the democratic nominee for president is that he can win those votes he can win votes in those regions in particular but but the ground fight that's going on right there it suggests that you know the Bernie supporters they're not there if they don't win if they don't get their guys they're not going to embrace whoever happens to be the Democrat nominees silly not least I'm reading between the lines that's what I see that's exactly right and while I would say not all urged to probe porters would not show up for Joe Biden who's come become increasingly clear that the establishment has come to gather not for nobody can fight against Bernie Sanders Horton and critical distinction that no one seems to be making and in the national news this isn't there for five Biden isn't south you chair but they all are against Bernie so they're all coming together and I don't believe that the progressive wing of the party is going to explode they're they're not going to be I don't think that they will show up once they make it impossible for birdie to win the next may make it impossible for birdie to windy out yeah the nominee and by and and and that nomination and win that Bernie is trying to see if he could very well on the map I I've seen lots of different formulas out there right now saying I'm sure using them to it it seems likely that he will definitely get the most votes tonight in super Tuesday all but he's not gonna get enough not end them throughout this entire primary process he will have the most delegates but not a clear majority that gives him the nomination so he will eight we could very well see this fight the one that you just witnessed in Allegheny county this fight occur where that guy with the most votes in the Democrat party that's with a capital D. here will actually be denied the nomination because the rules have been set up that way what what happens in Milwaukee than Selena and what about the aftermath when he is here one thousand nine hundred ninety one delegates to on the first ballot too when you walk into the to the convention center I I don't think I think this scenario shaping up who will burn you'll have almost that many but not exactly that many so on the first ballot he will win you will have the most delicate but then it goes to the second ballot in the second ballot is made up of super delegates superdelegates are governors in U. S. senators and Congress members and parties and party officials the essential of the party and they are not beholden to vote the way their state voted they can order we went with what the majority shows Baker wrote anywhere they anywhere they want there's almost a hundred of them and that that right there can turn to the turned the nomination over to Biden and then you can sixty eight the preventable forget that and just stay in yeah and it's not going to be pretty and and what's interesting is the Democrats I let me ask you this because I did look at I do I do love your reporting is always when is it over the Washington examiner and its C. as you just said very insightfully that this is not a coalescing around Joe Biden it's a coalescing around anyone to stop Bernie Sanders it that's what's motivating what we're seeing right now on this super Tuesday and everybody dropping out in the last twenty four forty eight hours I likened it to Michael Corleone setting settling the family's business thank everybody starts dropping out everyone saying yeah Biden's our guy but it seems like they've lost sight of one important factor here which is they gotta be Donald Trump is it more important to them to stop Bernie Sanders than it is to beat Donald Trump I think they make a mistake because even if they are able to stop Bernie Sanders that the by the next election that is that their card no matter what whether they win or lose whether it's by your standards for twenty twenty four that if the Democratic Party the show will have been completed by that that is who they are I don't know if that wins presidential elections or not I don't know how much culture impacts if that is what how we become but that is definitely where they're put that is the future of the party all you have to do is look at you party in two thousand and ten and while it didn't win in twenty twelve it was who we need to keep coming by twenty eight yeah and and and and by the way the twenty twelve nominee we came up with was not the tea party choice he wasn't a guy in brace that but all these smart people all the brilliant statisticians all the experts today said well he's the only one who's electable and it's like they're they're doing the exact same things Selena are there they are and I I will tell you this I do not know this as in fact at all not at all but you know is there has to be a part of everyone who is sitting at home last night thanks yeah I bet that L. and birth date when hackers and there's a mark and Amy and Pete probably got a phone call from president Obama saying thank you guys yeah yeah I I think it's it's probably time by the way speaking of that is near as we just speculate here the fact that Elizabeth Warren is still in you know people are judged by every measure did much better than Elizabeth Warren at every turn but she's still in that also hurts Bernie I mean her everyone else dropping out is to help Joe Biden but warned staying in actually is what waters down a little bit of Bernie strength does not so that could very well be part of the plan to yeah absolutely I I I I you know I wouldn't put anything past yeah the Kenai river's if you will really inspired so so bringing it back as soon as you to real fast your article centrist flirt with Democrats in the party bus than they're in Allegheny county that that a little snapshot of what's going on in a critically important state Pennsylvania let's play this out Bernie Sanders gets the nomination all of those centrists who are are trying to resist the party moving that way where did they go if they can't bring themselves to vote for the socialist or they stay home or do they actually do the unthinkable they vote for the Republican that's the question that's a question we won't know but I certainly will be exploring yeah all this cross pressure in in the middle is the story for twenty twenty and and and of course the other side of that same coin is if they deny Bernie the nomination and coalesce around Joe Biden or whom ever by the way there is another scenario where somebody that we're not even talking about right now could get the nomination where to all those Bernie supporters go and yeah I agree not to the ballot box but with someone when you're in the business of being a political reporter and analyst these are the best of times right it can you imagine there has not been doll let me just say that what American politics really hasn't ever been doll on if we just go back and I will get out of the Adams Jefferson rations eighteen eighteen hundred a no show I forget that was that was actually a lot worse than it is today absolutely all right when was horrible all of these things the Jeffersons people made up about Adam.

"I would encourage everyone to read about us where your military not go out and read about our organization and see what were see what we're about but that's the quickest way to do it got army bass anglers dot com you may send us a note through Facebook messenger and then you'll get you'll get a response back usually within twenty four hours from one of us and and like I said there's eighteen of assisted on the pro staff but there is a coalition staff out there that is far wide reaching through forty eight states and that's pretty impressive I was in Germany and and I was a party organization over there so you think about it we've got you fish in Germany I did fish in Germany and there's believe it or not there's places to fish over there some great fly fishing over in some of the other countries as well so absolutely that's great on talk with my careless part of pro staff with the army bass anglers have got their sea any Tony about now door expo coming up on March twenty seventh the Freeman Coliseum I so Mike I gotta ask because I know people are wondering right you're you're part of the pro staff there you're you're an avid angler what is the biggest fish you've ever caught ten four so got that what's called a hundred seventy two pounds skate in Alaska when I was stationed at the Alaska which we were held associate it's it's it's like a big sting ray they're not like really okay it is and so that was pretty impressive we were efficient to under feet of water and next about read out so that's probably my my mo that's my heaviest fish stands on you need that no I was really kind of shocked because I was I mean I'll eat it but that we we got it up to the boat the guy grabbed a shot gun reached over shot it and killed and and cut the line I was like well wait a minute would you do and he said well it's fee it's food for the hell of it well I thought well man that's a lot of fish we could've eaten that but you know they're one of my most memorable events I was up in Alaska fishing with a seven weight fly rod got a twenty six inch rainbow on the Kenai river but here in the states you know I've been able to to really fish of some great people fish with Randy how who's on the elite series been the highland lakes up there but now it's ten four I've got a nine eight nine eight nine before so it's a lot a lot of great times and you know my partner Jack Guthrie's my FAQ and I'll shout out to him because he's a he's a retired army first sergeant the guys just absolutely wonderful and and and you know I tell people going out fishing with him is like going to a PhD class and vision because he's just a he's amazing he's taught me a lot just throughout the years fishing with him see I I think this is what my problem is right because you're supposed to be quiet but yeah she right no no that's not true we've got radios of our boats okay all right well I thought is was required and I'm over here like I never shut up right that's what I do I talk but okay well what are the myths and do do we have wrong about fishing then while they're not I don't know if there's any any wrong myths about Fishin but you know it's you know when I look at the actual use of Babar you know it's funny you ask that question because and I and I hate to get into a story but people ask me all the time Mike you competitive fish do you enjoy just one fish I tell him all the time for me the best day efficient is to go out with a mental and a barber with my wife acre my BOS where it just sit there and fish and talk about nothing because those are the most memorable moments you can have water fish and then and then while I'm on that subject I will tell you that people think fission is is you know a lot of activity and you've got to be really quiet you can't do these different things but fission is is all about memories you know it's like when people go hunt they think well all images kill something that's not true it's the it's the enjoyment I I will I will tell the viewers out there if you've never been out on a boat.

"It easy on like today he only being four games to two but we play ones and twos you know the twos of course three pointers in fifteen and best of sevens rugby before games to two today but the man god game to be two fifteen five those are per dozen I. wicker and eyeopener there you like uncle Kenny all right he came back in no storm there you know I I mean your fans they stormed the court after you took that that six game there yeah they were they were excited was out to score fifteen attempting to five all five fifteen of twenty five yeah yeah I like to get that one fifty five now you didn't now because you know that can issues from from deep right so when I get a going you know it's you know I thank the subject you know we will tell people will play at the twenty four hour fitness and we do not use out of bounds you you can shoot out of the court and the added downs or the low what if it hits the wall or if it goes past the mid quarter line and so we'll both take shots especially on the corner side on both corners were were a foot or two out of bounds so not to worry about it but that's that's our range and that's but you have that inside outside game uncle Kenny tryst trying to keep you I was always working on my outside game night you guys thank god I know what you did you did a couple times without stepping back in Texas yeah I know why twice to because he was he was struggling just a little so he had to get a little rhythm going but great status single after work out too I I had some left in early actuality the threat I don't okay you can't get tired for another ten years man not even I'm going here yeah so that another work out you know I like tough life I looked over when you get in your fifties and we'll talk robbery she a guy that knows exactly what I'm talking about look we think we can still do what we did back in our twenties rob we can't but we'll do the best we can to push it to the limit and you know we'll pay for it the two three days after it it's humbling Kenai river plain over forty league baseball of unfortunately it was a few years back but my goal is to never hit a triple because if I had to run on the interface it was brutal you'd be talking to that aflac duck right it's amazing you play softball than your baseball you hit to the outfield and it's like it takes a week to get to first base because it's so much farther but yeah it's very humbling the mind wants to the heart wants to but the body says no you're over fifty you know that's the best that's I remember the last time I played softball and I loved it and I was one of the older guys on the team too but when you get a good shot and it's going in the gap you're like cool a double life you don't even think about it you're both you like I can actually coast into second base and then as you're coasting you're like oh man I better hurry up and to be tossed out right yeah and you get the bench yelling go go go and understand it on my back exactly good stuff all right robbery she been at this for a long time and the insurance world but I thought you know what how cool is it for me to have my nephew on whose dad is a big insurance guy he's been here for years and years and my sister's roses most ports Machel they both both his parents worked at the trade centers are back in the day okay so you know the turn of the century talking about nine eleven times my sister sports X. Machel took some time off to spend with her son who is going through some things as far as growing up he was young he was you know five years old and then his dad I believe had a had an appointment or something in midtown Manhattan was not there at the office both lost over three hundred employees at the respective insurance companies there at the trade centers they both have the memorial books we talk a lot of times about life insurance boy I just thought of that and I was like on this plays right into what we try to tell people and when I watch the memorial yesterday with Kobe Bryant and watched everybody how surreal it is in Colby you know forty one years old but still prime of his life done playing NBA basketball guy that always stayed in great shape and there's his daughter Tiana Gigi only thirteen years old so those two plus the other seven on the helicopter where for those other seven were under the age of you know thirty years old and several teenagers so it just goes to show we have no guarantee we don't know how long we're going to be here so every day as we talk about is a blessing but every day when you see stuff like this and you see it all the time in your industry you just realize gosh darn it I hope they had insurance tell everybody a little bit what.
