NFL WEEK 3: Our official predictions for who wins this weekend

"So. I gave talk about. Obviously a game that still sits our my mind from last week. The Atlanta Falcons go our land Alcan's play. The Chicago bears this week. Chicago was to know the Falcons are all into one o'clock on Fox. Obviously, the Falcons. About that the shambles, the the. Disgusting performance that we saw last week losing a game that they should've never lost Dallas cowboys now going to Chicago bears team defensively is still one of the better teams in the NFL. Immature bisky while not playing. Ultra, great. Still playing well enough for them to win. If, you look at this game, you would think the Falcons will win because one of the Falcons do have going for them as they do have one of the better offenses in felt even to the two weeks you've seen that. And they're going to a bears team that. Can Be, offered to challenge America can be limited. So the Falcons you put up points. The game should be over now the falcons defense does have some questions, but I do think they would put voices should be enough to create distance in the bears it'd be able to pick up the whip. Obviously the bears are companies just gave a lot of confidence. As they should. To An older, start the season I mean. I saw some Falcon fans tweet about it. They don't necessarily want the T. Blues remember they're only to the of this dot over by any stretch. But people really what? Dad Queen Gone. And so. It's Cadillac Party. Wants. To lose. The ship but the Chicago bears going to three eight. Oh probably be one of the young shockers of this early season. I'm going to very hastily picked the Falcons to win this game. I think they they are the better team. Now whether they actually leads to the results on Sunday we'll see but I'm going to go the Falcons to win this game as they are the better team to me. I, Think Matt Ryan will continue his great start to the season. I think are often will continue to click. There are questions of Julio. Jones will play this Sunday I. Think he will. He usually plays to injuries when his Julio not move something now he did. Have a setback in practice but. You know I think. He should be able to go. and honestly, if he didn't would be great for my fantasy team either but I got kindergarten if I need to step up or racial gauge. So yeah. But yeah with the Falcons. Next game forty niners, giants, I've this Games interesting. Remember last week. The point is playing metlife stadium loss Garoppolo MOATS are. Bosa, Thomas they lost a lot of guys last week. And the. Giants team who? Looks like they'll probably be at the bottom of the barrel the NFC east. Especially after losing saquon Barkley. For? The. season. When I players were scared to play at metlife stadium because they felt like the the stadium turf in and everything was the reason for a lot of those injuries that they had last week when they played the jets. Now. I it's. It's interesting to see what it's GONNA be 'cause they're playing a backup quarterback backup running backs they got sued offensive Lineman. I still don't have Richard Sherman. You have a lot of injuries. and. So this may be a winnable game for the giants I mean, you don't really know what to expect from the forty niners this week. So it'd be you say here they of Jimmy, Garoppolo at least played to me I. Think you would be like, okay for eight hours I think we'd still be able to win, but we don't know how good the Ford back for Norwich backup QB may play. I mean, luckily, the void ours have a lot of defensive talent still. So it's not like older pleaded they have nobody but. It. Isn't as comfortable as A. But I would still in my right mind, go with the four years to win the game.

Two Seattle Seahawks earn Player of the Week honors after dominant Week 1 win

"Maybe, the most impressive team of the day was Seattle. Russell Wilson was thirty one of thirty, five, Oh my God for three, hundred, twenty, two, yards, four touchdowns no picks. That's ridiculous. Thirty one of thirty five metcalf picked up where he left off big day and they destroyed Atlanta and and I think that NFC west is just going to be fascinating all year long Seattle's not going to have a home field advantage. You're not GonNa have that twelfth man thing they got going out there but man, they're they're good and they're a veteran team I I think Seattle. Really is going to be a very difficult to deal with this year that quarterback may be in the prime of his career right now what year nine for him it is e was so special in that game. He was so good. It's just he's. Become. So, much fun to watch play fast the operates and how he's really gotten such a feel for the game. Become what Sean mcvay would call an extension of the offensive coordinator He's in control. It was also game that Matt Ryan threw for four, hundred, fifty they were down I mean, Julio Jones, at Fifty Ridley at one, hundred, thirty gauge to gauge at and fourteen. They, Have Hayden hearst they IRV Smith I think Atlantic could be good. Defense has been a problem for a while which is weird because it's Dan Quinn to think about that. which was Laying the first coordinator when the seahawks became. Great. Exactly.

David Archer previews the Atlanta Falcons

"The Atlanta Falcons will do so with a former Falcons quarterback. Now he is their longtime color analysts on the radio network for Atlanta. And that is David Archer. David Hope all is. Well. Thanks for doing this. When we look at the Falcons, they made a big offseason acquisition getting Todd Gurley We don't know where the health is of Todd Gurley. What do you expect at a Todd Gurley coming over from l. A to Atlanta for this upcoming season? Well, be honest with you. I think we're expecting a lot of early and mainly in the Red zone. If you look at Todd Gurley's numbers, even with with so called quote unquote down near Around 900 yards rushing, still had 12 touchdowns. All 12 of those touchdowns came in the red Zone, and I think that Atlanta if they could find a way to run the football down close Help three up the talented weapons that Ryan has on the perimeter. Now, listen, you have a little bit more of a potent attack a little bit more looking a little bit more like what? You looked like a 16 when Avante Freeman and Tevin Coleman. We're carrying the ball down there close and created that problem in the run game. Atlanta has not had that over the last couple of seasons. I think that's where they expect Todd Gurley to make his main hey is down there in the red Zone. With the way that you probably have to manage his reps as a running back the rest of the running back room. Is there something that jumps out to you? Yeah, I think it's a good group. Really Do I think that when you look at Brian, Ill in the way, Brian Gillis Kamani together that Hawkins drafted a couple of years ago, Brian Handsome solid moments a year ago. Quadri Allyson. Kid at Pittsburgh rookie from a year ago. Uh, kind of woke himself. A little bit of a roll is a short yardage guy. £225 Goal line Guy, four touchdowns. Hopefully, you know, Smith can come back. He was injured in the game a year ago. I believe against the Rams in which he was trying to pick up a Blitzer, which he shouldn't be here should be doing, but he is an outstanding receiver out of the backfield. And a good change of pace back at the back, So they get to three young guys that I think you could lean on. And like you said, Take some of that. Load off. Assad, Girl. Let's get to the next down. And when we do so, we take a look at Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. The two big names in that organization. Do you still believe that this team could be a play off team once again with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones? I do, but it's you know, obviously, it's about you know your supporting cast and you do some things on the other side of the ball, and I'm sure there's a question you've got to worry about the defense's side the football, But there there's a little area in the offensive line. The left guard has been a little bit leaky, right guard's been a little bit leaky because of some injuries and things that they could shore up that into your part of the offensive line. Ryan's Like most classic quarterbacks climb in the pocket. They got to be able to give him that opportunity. Do so if you get into your pressure and accurate from problems, one game will help in that regard, but Yeah. Julio Jones, 16 seconds, 1300 yard seasons. Matt Ryan, nine consecutive 4000 yard seasons. I don't see the one those guys backing off. When you talk about that offensive line to follow up on that I'm a big fan of Matt Hennessy. Being a temple grad, really smart football player puts in a lot of work. Is he going to make an immediate impact in your number one? Yeah, There's always a question that he's certainly in the mix to be the starting guard. There's no question about that. I think that there's ah lot excitement around when he brings the table and and obviously the heir apparent, Alex Mack, probably its center. So Alex back in a little bit longer to still have a good football any But I need to put some guys around him that Khun taken, it could be in there and we had German Brown and James Carpenter guys that could not stay on the field. There was some solid moments from those two big veteran players, but they did not stay on the field and consistency. In the interior specialist that left guard spotted Kennedy ultimately will probably win that job and be the starter that guard let's get to the next down. All right, David Archer. When they flip the switch here and go to the other side of the ball defensively, it was an up and down year for the defense, but it seemed like they did finish in a better spot than what they did earlier on in the season. You could probably say that for the entire team with the Atlanta Falcons this division. Is loaded with offensive talent. You know what the Saints are. Now you have Tom Brady and the division with Tampa Bay, and I'll be curious to see what Teddy Bridgewater does with the Panthers. What's your read on the Falcons defense entering 2020 Well, it's an uncertain situation obviously went on God. Dante Fowler, Dad's pressure off the edge contact. McKinley realized what they thought they had when they drafted him a couple of years and the number one spot picked up Charles Haley, who, ironically, was in the same draft. And raided a route the same attack McKinley are Charles Harris. I'm sorry. Charles. Charles Charles Haley. Right way. I'd like to have the guy that was rushing the pastor there for both the Cowboys in the 40 Niners. That would be great, but Harris. He does have some raw talent there. Can't he realize that I'm the Falcon Tutelage will have to wait and see Grady dear. It's an emerging star in the tackle position and Marlon Davidson, Vienna and an interesting ad, a guy that has the versatility to play inside. Maybe in past situations and also play the perimeter as a 34 defensive didn't run down situations. The answer at all Burn second round draft pick of the fact that they think they've upgraded their defensive line. It'll have to be upgraded because you get extremely young secondary. Probably gonna have a rookie a corner starting your nickels, a second year guy in your other corners of third year, guys, So there's a lot of young players on the perimeter need to get some pass rush speed up the thought process for the quarterback. Let's get to the final down. Alright. I'm surprised that Dan Quinn is Bacca's the head football coach for the Lancer Falcons. What does he have to do this year to keep his job and Is that seats the warm because, like I said, I was surprised that they brought him back for this year. It is warm. I think that it's fortunate they brought him back because of the current situation with the pandemic and the uncertainties, so some continuity certainly has played into Atlanta Falcons off season. I think they've had a solid offseason, much as you can, with the limitations. They're attached to this year, So I think that it was good in retrospect that, uh, Mr Black decided to keep Dan Quint on, but I think he's got there. They've got a bit pushed for a playoff spot. I think they've got to be. They can't come out of the box one in seven. It's got to be a team. It's in the hunt of the entire way. As you said, it's going to be outstanding division with outstanding quarterback play, but they have to be in the hunt to be a part of the postseason play. If they do that. And I think the fans will be a little bit of stab on the wound for the fans. But if you get out to a slow start, it would not surprise me. If if Mr Blank made some kind of decision mid season on coach Boy and I think, coach when is the right guy for the job Now it's put up or shut up. He scored a touchdown will go for two here Oscar. One more question This team was 11 5 We all know the deal they were in the Super Bowl blew the 28 23 lead. The next year, they did go 10 and six, the last two years. It's seven and nine. If you had to identify the biggest reason why this team has regressed, and I know they've had some injuries to but overall if it's not the health of the team, what's the biggest thing that you look at? Why this team wasn't able to recreate that magic from 2016 and 2017? I think their inconsistency ball on both sides of the football in conversion, down situations and in the red zone. I think Atlanta's done a great job of moving the ball from 20 to 20 But when they get in the red zone, they bogged down and settle for too many threes. And I think in turn the defense's side of the football. What about 22 23 scoring defense coming up 25 points a game. They've got to find a way to get more stops in the red zone. That's probably the answer that you could probably get from all teams struggled and not made the playoff teams, but I certainly think That that's identifiable with the Falcons over the last couple years, the inability down deep in the red Zone both on offensive defense, Julio Jones, he's Ah Hall of Fame player. We all know that one of the better wide receivers in the league He's only had one year of double digit touchdowns, going back to 2012 when he had 10 TUC maybe 10 touchdowns in his fortunes this year. Well, I think he's certainly capable of it. But you got an outstanding receiver on the other side of Calvin Ridley, who's realized his abilities down in the red Zone Pretty close. I think Aidan hearse is going to be a seamless transition from Austin Hooper tight end spot So there are a lot of weapons from that Ryan to get the football too. Don't forget Todd Gurley and how good he is at the back catching the football as well. So I I would say no, I think he's going to be 89 touchdowns. I don't think he goes double digits, but I think there's a lot of guys around him. They're going to score touchdowns. Look for guys somewhere between 13 14 guys catch touchdown passes issue. Say that we appreciate it. Thanks so much. You be well, my

Falcons could field an offense with 11 first-round draft picks

"So we had a truck a couple of signings by the Atlanta Falcons over the weekend right to pick up tight end Hayden Hurst from the Baltimore Ravens and they also acquired look Kwan Treadwell a former number one pick for the Minnesota Vikings yeah as the Atlanta falcons roster currently stands right now on offense alone just on offense they have a Levin former first round picks all of these former first round picks quarterback Matt Ryan first round pick Todd Gurley who sign when he was released first round pick Julio Jones first round pick Calvin Ridley first round pick the Quantrill first round pick Hayden Hurst first round pick left tackle Jake Matthews first round pick left guard James carpenter first round pick center Alex Mack former first round pick Chris Lindstrom the right guard former first round pick and right tackle Caleb McGary also that he first started his first round eleven is incredible let them all eleven of them a former first round pick I mean there's no way that's ever happened before right I can't believe that what ever but here's the real question if you had to redraft everyone of these players how many would be former first rounder this okay because I think this is fair Lidstrom McGarry and carpenter I've always been really what one or two years no it's been really since two thousand eleven okay yeah so let's remind me Gerry I think you were taken off or taken them out yeah okay so all of the other nine how many would be redrafted as a first round what's what's going on it's not right absolutely no question that runs for Todd Gurley no yeah I I would say no I would sit well I would say no one quite frankly his a conversation about the value of the position in general could also affect the new with him that was the thing coming out of college yes I look he has fifty eight rushing touchdowns over his first whatever seasons and all the other ones are either in the hall of Famer going let me just say six are we saying first rounder today or go back to the beginning again it would re drawing back to the beginning again because I'm currently the way Todd Gurley came out I mean would you not still take him in the first one that's the question now right are you going to pay for that kind of production from a running back anymore we saw Christian McCaffrey Leonard for net like there's been plenty examples of even a legal or not re signing a big second contract drafting a great one of the first round can still benefit you a lot okay I'm just trying to get to it you know is that what they've done in their right career does that mean where are the first roll worthy to me the girly thing is to your point he had a knee injury coming out of college and right when they signed with the red sign that long term deal with they're trying they got out of now then he was going to be chronic so to me the top group member he was the first one that airports reset the market for running backs and it turned out no he just re establish the old line of thinking but that first three years of production would you that would you spend a first round pick on that because we saw that rand's office how much in common now it always goes like this with the running game but in combination with an offense of line that did really well what you brought into what worth over would you pay for that as the foundation of your off I'm beginning to go the Melkite around here that I'm not sure running back as well because Melvin Gordon was in that same draft and Melvin Gordon is on his team I got an extreme I think that's the biggest conversation we could take out of this is the running back position record number mellow one point eighty never take a running back in the first Rana I wonder for we're slowly but surely going back to it I mean there was a contract a couple years ago with the first running back off the board was late second round out of Tennessee and I think we're going back to that after a bevy running backs being taken so we were definitely in on Matt Ryan yes we're out on Todd Gurley a legit is amazing looking back at Todd Gurley's draft class there's not a lot of got like if you're talking about reworking the top ten Todd Gurley might be the most wealthy in that group maybe outside of Amari Cooper yeah we can we can have that discussion later because that's in it read graphic I think is always fast and you have to wait a certain amount of time Julio Jones know quite well right Calvin Ridley first round too early again I think it's too early last year what he had sixty three receptions okay just under nine hundred okay seven touchdowns I would mean he also can't account for how bad that team ask me yes or no right now I'd say yes but I still think it might be too early Hayden Hurst no not because look they they took marketers later in the draft in the third round he clearly became the tight end of Baltimore which made Hayden Hurst by the way has taken in the first row before Lamar Jackson R. Jackson for Lamar starting you know tight on that team right now marketers you said right Hayden Hurst also dealt with some injuries and stuff there too that's okay in perfect sample size and when you have a guy come on like marquetry who could predict that the way that offense ended up of what he was the Mackey award winner a what he was coming home with one truck will no no Jake Matthews yes I think so I think so I think so do not I meet yeah yeah I mean yes he's been there he's been there is a second contract I also wrote a like doesn't miss a lot of games he's he's dependable yeah I think that's what it our printer are probably not I mean he's he's been a guy that's been in the league for nine years now dependable guy but we're talking about first round right you know I mean when you're twenty four we'll talk about for sure we're talking about top ten picks like a lot yeah yeah yeah I I'd probably lean toward no on that as well yeah yeah Alex Mack yeah absolutely yeah yeah and then the other than what we remember and I think Lidstrom would be headed in that direction yeah kill the guy who's more reach last year get killed the one I have questions about obviously we know the health concerns that existed before the draft earning a hard issue that he had had to deal with early in this time oxygen so there's a lot to hash out with those two but just I mean blows off the page when you just read that number the every single hundred dinners with that crew yeah what eleven Ryan still got its still on that ride to reach for the paycheck first but everyone else has to at least go for their wallets and act like there's also a common I do with you know with my dad so you got rid you got Ridley help you got got this R. Ridley Hearst links from a Gerry all still on their rookie deals you know wrecked yeah everybody else is is all for them yeah if I'm looking at yes correct so yeah they're all fascinating eleven a former first rounders on

Atlanta Falcons add Todd Gurley to roster a day after Los Angeles Rams released him

"Breaking news the Los Angeles rams have released running back Todd Gurley came out of college you know there were people who were worried about longevity because of issues around spend weeks exploring a trade for him now Gurley will be free to sign with any team you have to wait long Todd Gurley is signing with the falcons Todd Gurley obstacle form forty played college football at Georgia it's a one year deal for the twenty five year old running back sure that once a Todd Gurley Julio Jones on the same offense Ian AT T. L. not the box and not would Brady instead he goes back to the peach state as a former Georgia bulldog headed to the Atlanta Falcons one day after being released by the rams it's a one year six million dollar agreement but Adam Schefter reminds us that will still pull in plenty of coin from the rams not only did Todd Gurley want to go back there but they had a need girly goes back to Georgia the falcons fill the gap that they created when they released abbante Freeman in a salary cap casualty earlier this offseason so girly goes back to Georgia the falcons get their man keep in mind that the rams are paying him seven and a half million dollars this season on that one year deal and whatever else the falcons add on is just icing on the cake for Todd Gurley Gurley is run for more than a thousand yards in three of his five seasons with the rams he ran for a career low though eight fifty seven just this past year feel the aid style on Golovkin away going how he fits with his new team so I look at their depth chart right now and the death star get laughed after the release of the pontiff Freeman is relatively fan not ito Smith and Brian hill and you know it's in quad copter Allison who are sort of debt level running backs and taught happens to be from Atlanta which are happy to be out there in Georgia I should not be played at the university of Georgia also it is not that your home coming the only thing that matters in football but there are a lot of boxes that Todd Gurley checked by going back to the falcons are going to the father died today but I'm not surprised by this move all right with the girly now gone from the rams the onus is now on to other people Todd Gurley was expendable Todd Gurley was someplace to save money Brandon cooks might be as well with Cooper Kupp and Robert what's on that roster do you need to be paying Brandin cooks the Los Angeles rams are moving in this second phase of their title contention will it work we'll find out the truth is now the pressure ships from GM les Snead the coach Sean McVay now the pressure ships to the quarterback they put at the center of this new face this center of his new rebuild Jared Goff can the rams continue to be a Super Bowl contender the answer lies and how much you believe in Jared Goff Jared Goff and

From Brady to Carr, ranking Bears' quarterback options in NFL free agency, draft

"Free agency. Starting soon as we mentioned earlier in the show March eighteenth four. Pm teams can actually out signings the signings and the wide receiver classes fascinating Jj. Because I think mostly because it sort of matches up with the draft class. This is a loaded wide receiver draft class studs and studs and studs. Nobody that's like necessary. I I like I tend to think see lamb and Jerry. Judy can be. I don't want to call them like Julio Jones. Aj Green types. Because that I think does a disservice to really any young player coming to the League to to compare them too borderline hall. Julio definitely the hall of fame. Aj Borderline Hall of fame to compare them to that type of player. But there's a great group of guys who look like they can be viable starters in the NFL out of the gate however they will have to compete with teams who resigned teams will have to decide. Do they want to ask somebody like that or do they want to size like? Aj Green should he make free agency? let's go through your top five wide receivers. Who's at number five number? Five number five. I have Randall COBB. Yes sorry I remember number five. I Have Randall. Cobb. Randall COBB. Of course coming off that season with the cowboys really difficult to see how they're going to be able to pay him And so as I was going through this and I thought to myself well thought. Where could he ended up? In fact I didn't think that's about self depot. Ask me where he could end up. I would have to tell you on your and some wanted to tell you that. I'm looking at an Indianapolis Colts a team. That was really struggling to throw the ball down the field last year. Now lot of that adds do of course which cover said. I understand that but I've never really been impressed with the wide receiving group that the colts have of course. They thought that they were going to have a few more options That did not work out with Devon punches. Who dealt with injury for most of the season. So Randall COBB. He's GONNA turn thirty before next season. He's at nine. Nfl seasons he had a eight hundred plus yards last year. I like him. What the colts and whoever their quarterback could be yes so it's interesting the question is would you rather have a guy like rental car bounced back nicely. Who Fits with the perfect slot style of of the modern? Nfl You've got three wide receiver sets etc etc. You can win outside and in some cases might be too old that now he's going to be thirty before the season starts or would you rather dabble in the shod. Perrin and sweepstakes and I might be inclined to agree with you. I like the PERSAD. Payment freaks me out like what? You're really like this Guy Ozzie. Newsome couldn't get this guy right and you're telling me that now like Jameis. Winston fixed him. I don't know if I'm buying it entirely woods. I would run away from shop Perriman. eighty might be fantastic human being but in terms of on the field play. I think that it was a flash in the pan how he sort of came on there in November and December for the bucks Certainly James with the five thousand passing yards sort of inflated his six hundred forty five receiving yards Paran- I just had issues for most of his career and I'm not willing to take a few weeks from last season. He's turned the corner. I kind of tend to agree with you. I wouldn't be opposed to like a one year not too pricey deal with precise payment but I would not want to make some big splash on that guy Given what's out there. It is interesting to this class offers. A lot of slot options like Geronimo. Alison is their Nelson Aguilar. Philip door set You can uh Devin funchess. Maybe didn't make the cut for. Jj surprise there. He's more of a tight end. Not a slot guy But then also demarcus Robinson who was very effective in Kansas City system. I think there's a lot of speed slack is out there so if I were if I were General Manager would probably at the top of the market. Do their own thing. Because I don't want to overpay for top of the market I would then sign a slack. If I got a young quarterback here I would sign a guy for agency at a lower cost and then go out and get by number one in theory in the in the draft. So that's probably why those guys didn't make the top five and I would tend to agree with you. Who's your number four on this list number four Robbie Anderson Levin love and coming off that season with the New York jets My best fit for him is the New York jets Because Gosh they really if they lose him. I don't know what they're gonNA do at the receiver position. They absolutely have to upgrade even by keeping him. They need to upgrade to upgrade that offensive line as well but seven hundred seventy nine receiving yards last season. He'll be twenty seven this upcoming year if enough teams and and if the jets WANNA mess around with this Joe. Douglas wants to mess around with us. He has been In conversations with with Robbie Anderson's representation if some teens get involved here and this is taken care of at the very started illegal tampering window or before. The price could go up on Robbie Anderson because of his age because of his speed because of what he did last season and then you can start approaching. Fourteen fifteen million dollars per year. I think the jets absolutely have to knock this out early and if they mess this up in some way if they decide not to bring him back. I'm looking at a place that he could go to looking at the Philadelphia Eagles who obviously could always use a upgrade. Their I the interesting seeing there may be some overlap there but the eagles need help it wide receiver. But I hope probably Anderson's faculty jets. I kinda liked that idea and I do think. There's a little bit of like say the Shaw Jackson to his game. That's an insult to the Sean Jackson as fast as to Sean Jackson Robbie interesting could be more of a position. He's he's more of a like he's a bigger body type of guy but who also possesses that deep speed. That might be complementary for the other pieces that eagles have so. I don't hate that idea. If I don't know how Roseman takes a deep dive a free. Hd but he's got cast a bird so maybe it happens a May I ask your number three is and then I started to say Emmanuel Sanders is your third wideout. He is my third wide out. And it's really just because age. He's GONNA turn thirty three. Where do I have him? The obviously he's not going to be in San Francisco. I initially till depot the Carolina Panthers and I said the Carolina Panthers because I'm not entirely sure the panthers are convinced. Honesty Smith is not convinced that they have a number one wide receiver they have DJ more. They have Curtis Sam. You hope that. Dj More is going to be that but what they seem to be lacking. Is that fantastic veteran presence in there and after I spent a lot of time will in the month of January with the San Francisco. Forty niners covering their postseason games. What I learned from a depot Samuel from kindred born was just how much manual sanders mentor. Those guys those young group of players coming up and how they were able to really improve their game early in their career after the trade for manual. Sanderson San Francisco did so I look at a team like the Carolina Panthers and I say. Oh those young guys could really benefit from a guy like Emmanuel Sanders however Emmanuel Sanders is kind of like Andrei Dala in in that like he elite should and probably only wants to play for a championship. Contender right. He's been with. The broncos just went to another super bowl and so we're talking about contenders we're talking about teams that need wide receivers. The New England Patriots is. They are trying to retain Tom Brady. That would be fantastic. Get sound radio. Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick said. Hey We got you Emmanuel Sanders and we got you this two or three year contract to finally finish your career in New England. What you say Tommy. Now that's great call. I think if you're the Patriots and this was the delicate line that they have to sort of walk with Tom Brady is. Can you go out into the mark like once we get to that noon at noon? It it's eleven fifty. Nine fifty nine on Monday can the Patriots manage in the span of about Let's see twelve thirty six hours. Thirty brought to us as a forty eight hours. Fifty two hours is probably right in fifty two hours. Can they manage to tamper their way into landing? Somebody like Mandal Sanders. Somebody like Hunter Henry and successfully like a- convinced Tom Brady to return if that's what they ultimately want their plan to be and if it is. I think that could be you know like. That's that's certainly a blueprint to having Tom. Brady back in New England. But I think you're going to have to get guys. Just beef up the receiving core for him if you want him to come back in my opinion all right the last two guys in this list that they're going to be the same for everybody. You could flip them if you want to Depending on your opinion of home and away splits for one guy in age for the other guy number two guy. Aj greed number. One Guy. Maury Cooper I beast I mean these are the first of all. There's a chance either. Guide makes it the free agency or Cooper could get transitioned franchise tag the transition tag depending on the CBA depending on what happens attack. Prescott's contract AJ Green. It does sound like the bengals franchise tag him but he throws a fit and says he's going to refuse to play for him then. Maybe that doesn't happen. What led you to stack these guys in this particular way. Jj Yes so I have AJ green at number two. Only because of agent injury concerns that He has missed something. Like twenty four the past twenty five games that the bengals have played due to injury So that is my issue with him. Amari Cooper last. We saw him was not getting the ball thrown as much his way as should have certainly against the Philadelphia Eagles. I felt that he still has it. Obviously he's young much younger than Aj. Green who I believe is turning thirty two this year. Amari Cooper is currently twenty five. He will be twenty six before the start of the season so If a Jake Reed were healthy he would be my number one with a bullet. No doubt about it on about his health and then So in terms of fits right We believe that. Aj agrees with the bengals eight. We'll extend the franchise tag if they do not then. I think that we can reignite the does job want to go to Cincinnati rumors and so just for the sake of argument. I through the raiders in there as a landing spot for A. J. Green. But of course I'm not putting too much effort into A. J. Green out to one of the thirty one other teams. He's going to Cincinnati. As far as Mark Cooper. I had no idea how the San Francisco Forty niners would do it in terms of contract and money but I have cooper going to the forty niners if he does not end up with the cowboys but again. They're the cowboys to do. Everything they can. To Keep Amari Cooper traded a first round pick for. It made a lot of sense. Not Not immediately when they made the trade form right.

Week 14 Fantasy Football Injury Report

"Falcons have a game against the panthers this weekend. They did not have. Julio Jones on Thursday they did not have often hooper for the last few weeks. Do you think we'll see hooper or Julio this week I think Hooper is trying to target this for his comeback. So this'll be four weeks. So hopefully Hooper will make it back for the fantasy football playoffs here. Julio is if you're Julio could've played Thanksgiving game I think with an injection. But you know he had an AC joint spraying a separated shoulder. But you know to be fair to. Julio he's their franchise is guy and it's a lot to ask someone when the team only has three wins clearly out of it to take an injection to play the game so I think Julio can and will return turn this season but only when he can play through without an injection or anything like that all right well. The latest we saw Dan Quinn said he was trending upward in terms of his availability for this week's game so we'll keep our fingers crossed on Julio Jones and obviously if he's out was certainly look at Russel Gage. Adam feeling not gonNA play tonight against the Vikings on Monday night football or excuse me against the seahawks. He won't play against the Vikings either but it's a bit of a tease for Adam feeling. I'm sure he wants to get one hundred present healthy. We've seen him have some setbacks. What are we looking at with dealing? Yeah and I think that's the point hamstrings. You can make it worse. The last thing you WanNa do is play Laham in Seattle and Havoc get worse or a setback and miss him for the rest of the arrest of December. So I think they're doing the smart thing remember number. He tried to come back early and had a setback when he started. I think the second week after his injury and then even this last week amid week he had a little bit a setback. So For me once you know shame on you for me twice shame on me so. I don't think the Vikings are going to be fooled with more setbacks. That's why they didn't even bring him on the trip to Seattle so that probably it would take away the temptation of feeling lobbying everyone to try and play but I think he does have a chance. That's next week to play okay. Fingers crossed certainly fingers crossed therefore for Adam feeling and how about. Aj Green. John Ross is going to be active this week. Aj Green will he come back. I mean we could be looking at some big weapons here for Andy Dalton but we haven't seen AJ green this year. We'll week fourteen. Be The week take. I don't know If the If the Bengals were playing for something I think A. J. Green could be ready He's probably in the nineties but he's not a hundred a month ago when everyone thought he was coming back and he said his ankles swelled up with sore. I saw him. I did see directly likely but I saw video of him working out pre game and at that point in early November I said shoot. He looked right on his left ankle at all. He's going to be another month month now. That month has passed and I think he could be ready to go but the words out of there is a green saying. Look I WANNA be a hundred percent when I come back. And that's a high threshold and with nothing really to play for right now I. I'm not sure that he plays until he really is close to one hundred percent and I thought that he would want to play to be able to show the world as the interest rate and see what he can do but in a discussion. I had serious with With Mark Dominik former jam the bucks he says if he were GM easing enough out of AJ during in the past each side into big deal just physical sight unseen on the field so You know War to think about there in terms of if it went aged green will come back.

Jalen Ramsey's troubled Jaguars tenure ends with blockbuster trade to Rams

"Terms of Jalen Ramsey will talk about this he finally got what he wanted the end result the disgruntled corner headed to the Los Angeles Rams the Jaguars finally relented and Ramsey to the west coast for first round draft picks two of the one in twenty twenty one in two thousand twenty one also a fourth rounder in the two thousand twenty one draft here's a statement for Jaguars executive VP. Tom Coughlin given the situation with Jalen we made this decision based on what we thought is in the best interest of the Jacksonville Jaguars for this season and well into the future we feel the trade that we struck with the rams gives us great value for the next two drafts and remain confident that our team today will compete this season for a division title Jalen Wasser Productive Flair but the time came to move on and we wish him and his family the best in Los A- Angela here's head coach Doug marrone obviously I had a good relationship with him and we were working together to get them healthy on the field and that that's what my focus was so he can get on the field and help us you know win football games and now you know how concentrating on on the players gotta here and and getting our guys focused on on on Cincinnati I think in his league nothing ever really surprises me anymore you know especially from the business side of things I found out like everybody else did last night you know lately point Dave came in and told me Rams reporter Lindsey theory joins us from L. A. and Lindsey listen there's been a lot of coming and going and all Ryder roster changes what's the general reaction to all of the news from the rams this week Wendy for a team that's three and three and in the mid of a three game losing streak certainly renewed buzz and energy at the team facility this morning now I am told the Jalen Ramsey is in route to Los Angeles and he's expected here later this afternoon or the rams do expect that he will pass his physical and I am told that he could be on the field for them as soon as Sunday against the Falcons now this would be viewed as a move where the rams are going all in once again to try to make a repeat super bowl run but I am told the Rams really believe that this is a move for their long-term future keep to leave and Marcus Peters or playing the season on expiring contracts Ramsey has another season left and the rams do intend to sign him to a long term engine now as you mentioned he's not the only new face here at the facility today Kenny Young Austin Corbett also were here they have passed their physicals though remains to be seen if they will be at practice later this afternoon and one more note Wendy Safety John Johnson is headed to injured reserve because of shoulder injury. Lindsey thank you it was a rare blockbuster trade a few weeks now before the trading deadline Ramsey joined a small handful of veteran players traded for multiple first round picks in the last third two years or so Khalil Mack and Jay Cutler garnered big offers from the bears the dolphins move two first rounders for Ricky Williams and it too big halls to get Herschel Walker an Eric Dickerson listen we can go back to the jags but since June Ramsey is moving onto the rams let's start with what he means for the La Rams Right now we'll Wade Phillips now gets a play defense the way he wants to Wakefield's really wants to play in your face on the line of scrimmage with the defensive line pressure and then in your face on the live with men cover corners. He hasn't been able to do that to be honest with you with Marcus Peters Marcus Peters is not not played good man to man coverage needs a better zone corner so now wade having Jalen gets the opportunity to get back to Colin defense the way he wants to do it I'll be really interested to see if they use Jalen the way we want I bill belichick thrill reverse where you put him on the team's best number two receiver and then everybody else gets to get double teams opposing for the opposing offense but it makes their defense significantly best Champ Bailey the dion sanders I mean the great quarters you can do that lock him up and then roll the other side I think you'll see that the other thing that was curious for me was that Tom Coughlin mentioned that Jaguars were better this year and going forward I think maybe either that was miss written or because they're not speak they're not better by getting a great player out of there so I miss quotes tim so expe- Joe Joe Listen you were you were spot on Jalen Ramsey never changed his stance which is what you asserted from the get-go and I would assume just finally came to a point where it just made no sense to have him on a roster when he wasn't going to win this transaction happened yesterday the first thing came to my mind is how often the people I was always talking to that this was going to work out for Jalen Ramsey like there was no fretting I didn't hear any fear and now that this is resolved itself in the way that it has it kind of plays into the tone that I've been hearing all along now I was talking to a source obviously familiar with Jalen Ramsey. They said that he's excited considering this a fresh start to be with the rams I think one of the questions that I had in talking to ram source last night was why not hold onto Marcus Peters to have opposite Jalen Ramsey in terms of making this movie now one thing that the ram source said to me is that it looked like it was clear that less need did not want to pay marcus. Peters beyond this year he's eligible unrestrained the free agency next year and it was better just to rip off quote unquote the band-aid now so then it becomes well who is opposite Jalen Ramsey for this game against the Atlanta Falcons they mentioned that two thousand seventeen when cal Roby Coleman I came to the teen that he did fill in for a keep to Leon outside first and second down and then on Nichols would have him excuse me on third down having a nickel or sometimes have troy hill on the outside and then have an RC in the middle so expect something like that or combination of that against the Falcons either way Julio Jones saw the rams problems in the short turn no because the opposite of the ball is atrocious right now and that's been there issue as far as being a front now what I will say is it does play into them getting better though like we can focus on golfing what this offense has been doing but with the guy like Jalen Ramsey not only does he hell Aaron Donald give him a maybe a half a second more to get to the quarterback he also may be able to steal a possession to for you and this ninety four was out there so air down gets another piece on the back end that can help him hold off quarterbacks for a second for him to get there and that's that's really all I can think about so maybe you

NFL Week 5 Recap

"Let's do some weekly awards here first off on the land the Atlanta Falcons into now one in four they got hammered against Texans fifteen thirty two and here's another example here's Atlanta running running p Carroll scheme you know don't work it's not working you know you can't play a lot of cover three zone you can't read the shoulder of the quarterback you can't break on the ball if you're defensive line doesn't dominate. I mean if you can't play Amanda Man Game and you can't get into it what's the falcons can the Falcons I mean Dan Quinn is going to take the heat for this but the Falcons are not very good they're eight and thirteen over the last twenty one games there now nineteen and twenty six the Super Bowl I mean at some point Arthur blank's going to have to sit there and say I can blame the coach but we're not a very good team we're just not very good team we're going to have to revamp what we're doing here we're going to rethink about how we're picking players Hauer cure town Atlanta's not one of those teams that steals they make very few trades I mean I know they traded for Cyprian and they traded they rarely make trades the metro the general manager doesn't want to go outside his draft picks he wants to just destroy he really is Ted Thompson when Ted Thompson was agreed but he wants to get players one way I don't think you can do that anymore in the NFL you know they've got Julio Jones Good player Matt Ryan declining not the same player and offensive line stinks this big win I didn't think that they could go into Houston and win but they're bad rotating I mean Matt Ryan now is ten fifteen when he goes endorsed on the road yeah thirty to forty six for three thirty three touchdowns yeah this this doesn't make any sense to me right you fired you fired Dirk Qatar because you didn't think it was good and you bring them back like why did you fire them in the first place like it make any sense like what are you doing you know and you got rid of Sarkisyan which I think was right but to me that this is this is part of the problem in the NFL there's not enough people. helping the head coach right there's nobody really helping Dan Quinn he's he's calling the defense he's trying to be the general manager he's trying to get his general manager to try to find players it's a really tough job anyone that's your Fred Palermo award the best thing going into the week Jon Gruden you gotTa give it to John I mean love you bro I mean

A.J. Green's injury on 'subpar' Bengals practice field will cost wide receiver up to two months

"Speaking of injuries unfortunately an M._r._i.. Has revealed that Cincinnati Bengals Wide Receiver A._J.. Green has torn ligaments in his left. Ankle is according affording to Schefter here. They are likely to sideline green six to eight weeks up really not a good situation and teammate Tyler Boyd questioned the turf. The team was practicing on when green was injured. It was terrible. I couldn't run any routes out there. I'm falling all over the ground man it was it was bad. It was rocks pebbles out there man it was somewhere we should have been just feel like the turf was old. You know it just wasn't we didn't get good traction in and out of her breaks. You know a lot of guys not just me was on the ground but I mean who wasn't up there that long but there's gotTa make a word man. We gotta get it well. The turf was that welcome stadium at the University of Dayton where the bengals are practicing coach you buy this well. I haven't seen the video really in this instance probably not but I will say that you know feel. Surfaces are very very important for player safety. You know whether it's a grass field you know what is the old school latch with Pittsburgh steelers. We practice on hard old school astroturf every day for five years so no you got to look at it but in that instance I think it was a matter of the kind of rolling up on the back of his ankle and that was what I saw caused that particular injury about sure it was the field service problem here in addition to the injury of course which is is paramount is the optics of this and when you have a player who says this sort of perception is reality and then then it's out there and you got players. You might believe this is the case whether the optics to this are awful and this time of year teams are trying to realize their fan N._B._C.'s. I've been a part of that for a number of years. Every team has an operations department and kind of like the offensive line. You'd never talk about the operations department until there's a problem and part of their responsibility is to advance where hotels are safety of the fields whether or not the field deal with safer not now the perception is that it was a problem now e._j.. Green fairness may have gotten hurt it was on their practice field but they're players now think that was a factor and they're at the University of Dayton given rookie head coach. He's trying to establish himself itself and now he has a problem in the locker room because these players are questioning what the organization did and that Operation Staff that you're referring to my signed off on the practices being here the League went to them. They sent a site survey team to inspect the field and that site survey survey team for the Bengals said this field is okay to practicing and maybe they thought it's one practice we can get through now. You've got a situation where you see A._J.. Green get hurt on this play and we can take another look at it right here where he goes up for the past the D._v. lands on his ankle. He's on the turf tears ligaments in his ankle. He's going to be sixty weeks. Think about how much is at stake your now. You have a first year head coach Zack Taylor who's trying to come in and implemented program. They've already lost their first round draft. Pick joyner Williams to a season ending injury. Now you lose your left tackle. You lose your number one wide receiver. They are at a loss there and A._J.. Green himself is going into the last year of his contract so at a time when we're talking about new deals for Michael Thomas in Amari Cooper Julio Jones guess who else was on that list of A._J.. Green so what happens now to his value as argument now that he is going to be out for some period of time and organization standpoint. That's a really difficult position because A._J.. Degrees could say hey. I've done all the right things. I was out there practicing at the university because you wanted me to and now that's going to hurt me and take money out of my own pocket. It could really cause a situation to go awry very quickly and again even if the operations team went through all the protocols the the perception is that this feel wasn't safe and now they have a problem with one of their best players. Yeah I think that team without J. Green if you look at their record versus with huge and so he's a big part of their team. He's going to be missed. This is that there's a fair amount of injury here to start. You know this is not the way not the way you want to get off the ground. No team does last last year he missed time with a toe injury and when he was out of there the offense did not operate the same toddler boys production fell off and everybody thinks talent boy. We'll just emerge as the number one guy and he's a really good wide receiver but the fact that matters A._G.. Green when he's out there makes tyler. Holler bought a better received. John Ross still has not stepped up as the first round draft pick that he was. He says he's ready to do that. Will they need him to do that. They've got some other players Alex Berenson some good young receivers but A._J.. Green is on a level with Julio Jones. He's is that kind of talent and when you Jack Taylor coming into his offense it's hard to get by without somebody that good.

Zeke Update

"Be N._F._l.. Teams are in training camp but that doesn't mean every player is we've got hold doubts in key spots Saints Michael Thomas Chargers Melvin Gordon who else Yana can gakugei Jacksonville Trent Williams in Washington and of course Ezekiel Elliott in Dallas the big one big name that everyone's watching out there in oxnard California all guys that <hes> are heading into either the final year of their deal or wants some sort of adjustment on their contract before camp or the season starts so we gotta go through all these the person who helps us make sense of all this stuff is our own Adam schefter so Adam Una make this pretty simple. I will give you a name and you tell us the latest on that player. Start with Ezekiel Elliott of of the cowboys will Zeke Elliott has not shown up in Oxnard California side of the Dallas Cowboys training camp and they're going through physical today. They are basically supposed to be attending a team meeting and there's no sign of Zeke right now which tells you soup that it looks like at the very least Zeke Watch is underway and it certainly feels like this is going to be a hold out while the two sides tried to see if they can come up with a new deal for Zeke Elliott but no signs of him California this yet and no signs as of November by the chargers camp right now then this one is going to go on for a while the two sides basically have their own stances. There have differing pains. Nobody Gordon's value. I don't see this getting south anytime this summer I I think this one looks like it has a real chance to go into the regular season. It's time for Austin Ecuador and Justin Jackson and no Michael Thomas in New Orleans still you take the reading receiver off that team. The saints have offered to make them the highest a wide receiver receiver in football. It sounds like he wants to get to a very high threshold north of twenty million dollars a year. We'll see what they can get there where the saints a willing to budge but Michael Thomas wants to become not just a highest eight wide receiver in football but the highest paid wide receiver football by a long shot right now while we wait for Julio Jones deal to potentially come in later this summer Adam sit tight we we'll come back to you as as needed. We're going to go back and talk about Ezekiel Elliott though how important is even to the cowboys he's led the N._F._l.. Rushing yards per game in each of his first three seasons the only other players to do that in the ninety nine year history of the N._F._l.. or Jim Brown and Earl Campbell perhaps you've heard of them. Both of those guys are in the hall of fame name safe to say that few running backs have ever had a better start to their careers then has Ezekiel Elliott

Which college produces the best NFL talent?

"A special edition of N._F._l.. Live on deck today at the N._F._l.. Celebrates one hundred season just six weeks away however we are just five weeks away in college. Football Opens It one hundred fiftieth the anniversary so today welcome N._F._l.. You were combining the two worlds to answer age-old question what college produces the best n._F._l.. Talent however I'm Wendy net sand Hutus here you know what's better to be on this panel our expert notice icy expert telling me when Lewis Minute of her panter on the list not on the House for back the quarterback guru he and his brother in a lot of N._F._l.. Games James A lot and Ryan Clark. You see the L. L._S._U.. They are ills college football. L. Is Jonathan Vilma bike. He will join US shortly. He happened to win a National Championship and Oh by the way a super bowl as well coming up on N._F._l.. Live will break down position by position which college produces the best quarterback Oklahoma has the number one overall pick the last two years we have the top ten plays all the N._F._l.. Superstars when they were in college and answering big question which school produces the best all time N._F._l.. Talent we had to ask the players themselves to kick things off. We're the first pick quarterback Oklahoma Viva say Oklahoma Alabama Clemson because proven it is one atop factory the Ohio state highest in Alabama. 'cause I never lost beat out. You really can't understand it into your inside. Sadness programming is all about the you for N._F._l.. Because of Georgia in every aspect but I think L._S._U.. CRESA environment of gray competition and guys is trying to feed off of IT University of Pittsburgh. You Got Dorset. Dan Marina you got Larry. Fitzgerald was not a me show. It's about having everybody involved in working for the Sandal clumps in would cushman he's been doing. He's making people believe everything is possible for House is the best our stop it. Stop stuff well. Let's start shall we with the most players from each college currently in the N._F._l.. Alabama leads the way with V with sixty five players players followed by Ohio state in second place with fifty eight so we're going to debate these schools I in terms of who is best at producing N._F._l.. Challenge here's a tale of the tape on Alabama at Ohio state success since the two thousand draft folks tools I have had thirty one first round picks the most of any school while the Buckeyes have thirteen more total picks in the last twenty drafts but Bama's players have been slightly more successful in the league producing three more pro bowlers than Ohio St Louis Rick. Let's start with with the crimson tide. They're starting eleven if you will offense and defense current N._F._l.. Talent there's any question that these are both very impressive lineups that if Alabama can roll these teams out there right now now. I think they'd win a few games without a doubt. If you look at the offense aside outside of the ball the first thing that jumps out of these starting eleven are the two wide receivers look Julio. Jones is one of the finest athletes in the N._F._l.. For guardless of position he's in the news right now because he's about to get a new contract extension and he's really one of the he's one of the transcendent players at the position that this game the scene Amari Cooper the same way. When Amari came out of college? I remember doing his tape in thinking point honestly as far as catching one pet and run wide receiver. I hadn't seen one as good as him as him. In a long long time on the defensive side look they have fine players throughout the eleven here really that when you get to the secondary and you guys like Eddie Jackson Landon Collins I mean these guys are disband tastic players on the front dont`a hightower our multiple time superbowl winner. These are great great players right here. Make our way to Columbus shower of the to Ohio state you go to the offense side of the football. Look the first thing that jumps out without a doubt as Ezekiel Elliott because if he's not the best running back in the N._F._l.. He would be considered a top three running back in the N._F._l.. Wide Receiver Michael Thomas Really someone who was unheralded coming out of college. He's a tremendous tremendous. Pro will probably be the highest paid wide receiver in the N._F._l.. In short time then move over to the defensive side of the ball this this is where really this football team really kind of jumps off the board starting up Front Joey Bosa Cam Hayward those are two of the best defense alignment in the N._F._l.. Right now and then when you look down there at the Secondary Malcolm Dyson Dinkins Denzel Ward Marshon Lattimore doesn't let's get much better than that. All right Jonathan Vilma made his way again surly qualified to weigh in on this discussion. Look I mean there's a shortage of talent with either of these squads. It's almost ridiculous factory and a lot of ways both of these institutions but let the debate again a Ryan Clark. You can't pick L._S._U.. Just yet but when you look at this group what stands out L._S._U.'s better than both of these things we're gonNA get to that. We're supposed to be talking outlets. Let's be honest. There's amazing players. Neither one of them have a quarterback right before proven yet though little I mean why don't we always have to see something first before we can get you well Ray Richardson running back right you saw God compare that with you why time gentlemen we're GonNa play Nice Got Ninety minutes ago. You're the Glenn Difference from every other position that we're looking at okay fair enough now back to you Louis. It is a production results oriented industry. Is it not so it is fair to say seeing something. Does one believe they'll be success won't sure but I mean we're we'll see this is kind of like a combination of what they have done in college. What some of these guys have done in the pros in some of it's a little bit of projecting about what they're gonNA continue to do in the pros? That's how I'm going to expand it to that all right so at quarterback quarterback Dwayne Haskins I believe right now. There's no comparison as far as I don't care what A._J.. McCarron did it Alabama cows tape. Those Wayne has close exact Haskins is going to be a fine football player. What's going to happen to him? Really is going to be more predicated on what Washington redskins overall due to him then what he does to himself. I firmly believe that as far as these rousers overall look the wide receiver position Julio Jones Amari Cooper. Julio Jones's the standard if you go and look N._F._l.. For an offices and look in their scouting books books every team has a standard at every position that they put for scouts the suit for as far as whenever when their scouting people polio is going to be on that list for for many many teams he's about as good as it gets so skill positions at Alabama are awesome. The defensive players at Ohio State is what stands out for me as far as their front seven is concerned particularly their defensive line and their secondary Denzel Award Marshon Lattimore. You tell me a team that wouldn't take those two young men right now and startled. Let me ask you a specific question since you spend some time as an analyst watching these players at the collegiate level if you had to choose either of this group Alabama Ohio state who's players really got better or who took a bigger step forward than you anticipated when they got to the N._F._l.. Out To you to dance your last part no neither standout. They're pretty equal because watching these guys watching Jonathan Allen he played okay well Dante. I'll tell you knew who is going to be tremendous player defensive player C._J.. Moseley's same thing and then you go to the other side and you look at Joey Bosa Nick Bosa Darren like Malcolm Jenkins. I play with Malcolm Jenkins in in New Orleans knew he was going to be a study. He's Philistine but what is surprising how fast or House they defense is. I did not realize how fast defensive you think big ten you didn't big Brawley guys not so fast but these guys can move joey. Bosa also can move nick volks in Darren League. We know the Burner Malcolm J. Denzel War March. I mean that is a very very talented athletic fast fast defense. I thought I was going to jump in your rookie. I think that's a great question Wendy about as far as what teams teams have players that have gotten better pros. You look at Ohio state this look at their offense. In particular Michael. Thomas was a good wide receiver to hire Stayton. He's fantastic now. He's GonNa be highest paid wide receiver in the N._F._l.. Andrew Norwell most people wouldn't even know Andrew Norwell well what from Andrew Doorbell he right now just judge Moore Norwell can't open open some N._F._l.. Spectacular and even on the defensive side of the ball. I didn't think Marshon lattimore. I've liked Marshon Lattimore at Ohio state. I didn't love Marcet. He has taken his game to another level as well in the really own Alabama side you know how I feel about Alabama I feel nick and what he does and how he builds his program but really focus on their offense align that was just look okay and think about that question. Wendy Wendy asked how many players have gotten better how many have continued to improve Andre Smith may have his best days at Alabama. Dame's carpenter has really been good pro Brian Kelly the jury still out he could be a he's a good player. He's GonNa play already in Indianapolis D._J.. fluker was he ever ever really that guy that dominant guy no. He hasn't been Cam Robinson. Have you seen story so it's interesting because they're preventing people have been many people who've hit Alabama and said they get the best out of their players at Alabama. Maybe it's good discussion legal where people go by what teams there drafted so we look at Michael Thomas he falls into a place where he needs an accurate passer and he's one of the most accurate passers all the time also about the place you land in ashore and how they develop you ask Josh Rosen he absolutely he knows that all too well. I ten Hasselbeck. The whole point of this is to pick one of our producers here a little bit we talked. I'm going Alabama mainly change quarterbacks. Yeah I think looks great point about the offensive line at Alabama because so many of them when you look at them just in terms of body type you're like Oh my God look at those guys body type wise but like I don't know that some of those guys have come in and be like Oh and they got a whole lot better. We're obviously splitting hairs here on this ongoing Alabama Lewis Sorry Nick. Oh from a hustle change your mind or did you stick the way said one because I don't care if between Haskins hasn't played. I think he's I think he's in the saints. Stratosphere is A._J.. McCarron so I like that I liked it their offense of line one of the things that talked about how they develop those guys on the defense aside but they're fun four plus their secondary this going with them Ryan Clark you have to pick one while I was brought here for one reason in one reason only when the Knicks because everyone knew it my answers it would be and what Tim Hasselbeck has proven is. You don't need a quarterback. That's really he's GonNa be Ohio state in Alabama that don't have quarterbacks guess what we don't need a quarterback back and by the way you don't want our first off was good enough for Bill Belichick your boy to draft him as Tom Brady's heir-apparent draft. We thought they they went to L._S._U.. Because this guy has what they decided to we throwing the ball all around the field Andrew Whitworth he's played a thousand years. There's a Guy Jerry go look at the Neil hundred may has like negative two percent body fat Michael Broncos out. There aren't key. We gotta wait on them but it's are are you at the back of position. That's all we got mad. I gotTa get here all even have to work conviction when you spoke scissors. I'm sorry I just so tim. I love your twenty. Two question your toughness Whoa West I've seen because as you know what fair enough he's at Alabama alum landon dare you wait into the circus that we've created. But what do you have to say about this. Whole debate ain't Ryan got some good good good stuff going on say? I wouldn't question his toughness at all. I don't know why you questioned Ryan toughness. I saw him not got a lot of Alabama's always number one no matter Corolla tyrod. Let me ask you a serious question. You know obviously nick. Sabin is a hall of Famer one of the best ever coach this game but specifically what does he do that has allowed such historic success at the university. Steve Alabama <hes> as a coach he speaks for as a coach. He represents his players as players coach. I would say he makes all this coach. All the players are on the him as a player as a father <hes> <hes> and as a as many tried to teach us they'd be a man and a great play all at one time you know so he does it all leading. Can you please tell the people why you are now better that you have trusted your career training with the guy from L._S._U.. Hey right you agreed trying to grow been gone on gone for years

"And it's a local note for me but it becomes a national story DR Jones locked up by the Atlanta Falcons today fifty seven million dollar deal that's going to run through twenty twenty three this comes on the heels of just a couple of days ago they locked up or defensive tackle in Grady Jarrett to a long term contract extension and it's very well rumor down here that Julio Jones is going to get his contract extension in the next couple of days falcons will have their core basically locked down for numerous years it which is good lot of people that don't understand the salary cap the looking to go wait a second are you given DR Jones thirteen million dollars a year on average he's only going to make a million dollars this year Grady Jarrett skating you know for years what was it sixty eight million dollars seventeen million dollars a year on average how does that affect the salary cap well the way that these teams and it's not just that land it's every team in the NFL moves around the salary cap when you get these guys to long term deals as opposed to the franchise tag and we talked about Houston Texans last night as opposed to what they're doing with JV and cloudy you get a long term deal and they'll pay them in different ways to give a signing bonus that for whatever reason doesn't count against the cap or you give them an up front bonus it doesn't count against the cap teams can now maneuver money around to make the salary cap fit on a year to year basis that's when you see guys like drew Brees or Tom Brady kind of renegotiating their contract they'll be okay they're going to get the entire amount of money that they were gonna get anyway but they moved around to make a team friendly where these teams now can go out and sign more players falcons are a team that when healthy can absolutely be a playoff team in the NFC and can be one of the best playoff teams in the NFC again if healthy last year health completely derailed the franchise fee on Jones this ten games greatly missed for five games he got on the played a half of football in the opener they had injuries at running back with Montee free of the offense of line with the fifth but a lot of people think this team could be one of the contenders and I'm here to tell you to watch the falcons I would not be surprised if that football team is eleven or twelve when football team coming up in twenty nineteen and they're playing in

"Roster. Julio Jones k I would put Julio Jones and de'andre Hopkins opposite of each other. So those are two basically unguardable wide receivers. And you could you could leave KiKi Cutie in the middle. Right. But you could also put will fuller in the middle willfuller is obviously legitimately fast like a legitimately fast wide receiver in the NFL. So if you put willfuller inside, maybe KiKi, cuties, your fourth wide receiver and you have Julio Jones on one side and the Andre Hopkins on the other, and to Shawn Watson, it's been pretty good at throwing up those jump balls. I mean that listen, member number. What was it Roddy? White. Yeah. Roddy, white was opposite of Julio Jones when he started his career, and that was almost an uncomfortable duo for defend a great way for Matt Ryan to start his career with Roddy, white and Julio Jones. Wow. Wow. Am I v player? And you're gonna notice what heavy on offense here my fifth player that I think would take the Texans over the top and they could become a Super Bowl contender. Travis kells. I think he's the most uncomfortable tight end of the league this year. I know Zakar it's had more production last year. But I think Travis Kells is the most uncomfortable. I don't want my tied anymore. I don't need my tied anymore to be a great blocker. I think NFL offenses are moving past that. And I think it's listened gronk was great because he could block Andy could catch. But gronk up beat up an grinding gronk deteriorated quickly. And it wasn't all because of the tackles that were being made on him in the in the open field. Guys had trouble getting a clean hit on crop..

"Good, twelve. How many, how many cracks can they give Matt Ryan to find Julio Jones in the end. It was like, I knew this coming every time like there was no, you know, like you're playing the team that has like seven trick plays like there's seven different versions of the Phillies special and like all Atlanta can do is just try it out the same, like throw pied Julio's, see what he can do. Like every time it was kind of sad. I feel like Matt Ryan is still playing that Super Bowl and his mom. Plan that last play on his mind because that's exactly what happened last and find Julio Jones in the end zone. He had five cracks in the red zone because because of the penalty, five cracks from inside the ten yard. And there was no distraction. They didn't even have a running back in the backfield like it was just obvious like, hey, we're going to go targets the new or Ridley just like the falcons are a dumpster fire. So here's the thing. I think the falcons probably aren't a playoff team this year, but somebody's got to take a look at Steve Sarkisian on what he's doing. That's the offense coordinator. You can't figure out how to use you by the way who you Jones, ran nuts, less. He was spectacular until you got to the Renzo and then he completely disappeared. Ryan couldn't find him. And in fact, in the last two seasons, Kersee SPN stats and information last season's including the postseason Julio Jones has the second most targets in the NFL one touchdown, twenty targets from the red zone and one touchdown to compare that last over the last few years. Deandre Hopkins with part of who's the quarterback after Shawn Watson adage that is right, right. I mean the last two years deandre Hopkins twenty-five, red zone targets and twelve touchdowns. I love Hopkins. Hopkins is great. These oxen Julio need some space. He can't. If they had like a nice tall, like a Kelvin, Benjamin like a nice, you know, possession receiver, maybe those red zones will work, but not like Julio. Is that space who have a nose for scoring hush. Right? You just have that act like they, I don't think he's one of them. He's a guy who he's really good when you're just trying to move the ball down the field. But like in terms of making that big play because all Matt Ryan soon, it's just throwing it up high and letting him running as overthrowing Jones for an incompletion on twelve of those twenty attempts. Well, there's twenty attempts, so he's just basically overthrowing them or a really bad Lauber of the ball. Obvious for tad Lavin that Lavin solely talk. Momo did a did a piece today on Janssen kenley Jansen is not with the dodgers in Colorado right now. That's where he had his heart issue out of develop recur couple of weeks back that means tonight they will be without their closer in just a gigantic. Yes, critical series in Colorado their game and a half back of the Rockies and they've got three at Coors. What is the status? Actually? Why don't you hold it? Tell us about what your conversations with kenley and the dodgers about his situation coming back next Mason in Ireland Momo's here OJ Jackson juniors here little baby Mesa's here. All right. You did a piece dodgers getting ready for this critical critical series tonight in Colorado, it's John gray versus Clayton Kershaw. Kenley Jansen is not there. "That makes them really dangerous, as a guy split out you know if you're especially if you're playing, a man a man team where linebackers? On him on early down to the a mismatch every time I mean absolutely and it seems like this A situation where they're gonna be. They're gonna, use ten emotion they're going to try and get guys like lake McCain in the news and even your George kills and your GARRETT'S. Selects matched, up one on one. Against this mattress and just, hit those guys, and certainly you know what you mean grapple last, year he, was able to find those. Weapons and make plays. Anything you're thinking about that might cause them to maybe fail to hit sort. Of the things we might envision in our heads we think, about them, heading into the season as their one weakness, or one elements of this offense that you think might might cause them to be not. As impressive, as. Maybe they look on paper Yeah, I think it was a couple of things, I think one there's the potentially three new starters on off of line would think some of the players. Could be upgrade but the same time you don't know how. They're going to jail especially. Early in the year with three new starters so that could be that, could be a problem and they don't have much depth than off into line as well so somebody gets hurt they could. Really get, in trouble especially at the tackle position and. They don't have a dominant blue chip player or Seaver you could just go to throw jump balls to or just say this guy's going to win his match up every time you're. Like we talked about they have a bunch of really versatile pieces but they don't have that go to guide on how a Julio Jones or or gronkowski type of receiver they could just rely on So I think that that they just don't have that go-to guy that that could be a problem. Yeah I mean. It's certainly, fair to say they're getting back after he missed a good chunk of. Last season which helps Markey's Goodwin had a breakout year last year really impressed it a lot more. Than I ever thought he could have, done as. A, pure wide receiver for the Niners last year. But I do, think those cards are a question Mark look at Lincoln Tomlinson a guy who was not especially impressive in, Detroit Jonathan Cooper who, against struggling Arizona kind of a post high, player and then Josh Barnett missed all of last. Season with an injury and not that great as a rookie so you know if you could see a workout three. Former first round picks, athletic talent there but you know certainly not the sort of refined cash you might hope for in s game where you. Know it is at times more about technique perhaps in about size, and bulk so we'll see I mean it really interesting offense and, and I think, one that should get better we'll see what, happens with the line in terms of their ceiling and how high they can get but outside of the Niners I mean another team You'd figure. And I think. You I'm, not talking out of school here in saying the Houston Texas might be. A team that they can get the Shawn Watson healthy for more than six or seven games this. Could be one of the. Best offenses, and football Yeah I mean Watson put up unreal numbers in his limited playing. Time and he's just really. Accurate extremely, smart very very poised? For a rookie and Brian.

"Time, but Julio Jones. The second one talked about fans Kevin Durant. His little Twitter interaction with CJ McCollum. I mean, I don't know, man, professional sports. Sometimes it's real wacky. I'll tell you that. But I mean, I guess that's, like I said, then the segment that's why we love it. We move over to them ABI where nothing's really ever going on over there and we'll be, I mean, they don't have these kind of issues. They just play the season and move onto the next one. It's kind of weird. The MLB is. And I guess that's why it's so poorly marketed because there's on the market in the be. I mean you got one hundred sixty two games. Go to the playoffs and all but there's no real. There's the market there. That's all it is. It's just a boring game. I'm sorry. Baseball fans, but it's true. I mean I like watching baseball and all that, but hundred sixty two games. Are you kidding me? You miss half the season. Watch eighty one. It's a problem. Thank short, the season or whatever. Maybe it'd be better for the game of baseball. I'm not sure if we'll get there. Either way, though member yesterday I was talking about the as the fact that it's crazy how they all season long had basically been winning one run games walking off every single time. They basically did the same thing yesterday. They hit their game winning home run in the ninth top of the ninth so they didn't get to walk off. I mean, I don't. I don't. I don't understand this team. It's it's ridiculous. The run that the wrong. I mean looking at it after the second inning. There were down three one. Finger down five one. Seventh-inning after the seventh inning, they're down five, four. And then once the ninth gets here, literally Chris Davis, which he is probably the most clutch hitter in baseball right now. Chris Davis got two strikes on him. I believe two outs left last pitch for him. Basically any hits it out to run shot as take lead six, five. I mean, it's ridiculous. How this team continues to win this way and you think, I mean, it's not sustainable. This isn't a good way to win. And I, it's kind of weird saying that because a win is a win, but it's just a point where eventually you're going to have to start winning wire-to-wire ballgames just being the better team coming from behind is always going to work. But for the as that just seems to be their mantra, we're not going to be the better team throughout the game, but we will somehow figure out a way to come away with this win. I mean, it's ridiculous. At least with them. I mean, they got a decent run differential. Last time I checked yesterday with the with the banners render French was at zero. Which is crazy. Let me see as Ren differential still at zero. Tom Mariners there at plus one plus thirty eight. I mean, yeah, it's it's. This is a season where, as I mean, the run that they've been on this is basically. We're getting ready for moneyball two right here. Moneyball one. Setting takes place, two thousand and two moneyball two. This is where it's going to be, and. We know how this movie ends for the ace. Once again. We'll make the wild card game. Maybe they'll beat the Yankees, visit chance that their lose because he is better chances are they win that wall card game, but probably get swept by Boston. All right. This as team, I mean as good as they are, they're not going far in the playoffs. They won't make it to the ale CS. I think I'm pretty comfortable out there and saying that, but either way, this is a team who will have an opportunity to make the playoffs meeting, they will get to the wildcard game, and they will have a chance to get to the. But it is an incredible story about the fact that I mean, these winds are walk-offs..

"To you by the GSM see podcasts that were, and as always I am your host Jesse top. Yep. All right. So I said, Julio Jones's without wouldn't last more than a week. Turns out didn't even start. We'll be talking about him being in camp. Got some thoughts on that. Of course, we'll talk about something. Anything else going on the NFL for the first segment. Second segment we will be talking about, let's see, let's let's over to the MLB for the second segment. Remember what else telling you about the the as how they always tend to win those one ball games and it just seems like they do it all the time. Yeah, they did again, actually, we're gonna move that to the third segment. Okay, we'll talk about Tacoma. Teams making trades ended up getting Jay. The brewers ended up getting walking soya believe it was so that we'll talk about that for the third. I remember the second segment I wanna talk about Kevin Durant. Yesterday we talked about how he went on CJ McCollum podcast, and basically that CJ McCollum for thinking the travelers had a chance at winning. Title. And later on that day when I left recording and all that, it's like what? Seven o'clock PM all went down him in TJ McCollum get into a little Twitter. Are you meant and k. d. I guess gets an Twitter argument with the rest of the world. We'll be talking about that. I mean, it's just a little bit ridiculous how I'll save my thoughts for the second segment. Make sure we got them all. They're like I said, third segment, we'll talk about the as once again winning in dramatic fashion, right? Yankees. I got a new starting pitcher brewers, get some bullpen help and the Red Sox leave added Luis Severino or not. We don't. They knew volley mixed up because I used to play for the one does play flaky still, but when used to. But either way for segment we'll be talking about anything else going on in the world of sports. All right. And I didn't put two together, but obviously we got the men's basketball team going out for the little summer training camp. Great coach, it makes a whole lot more sense as to why why not going. They're going to be there. He passed his physical obviously, so he's ready to go, but forgot the fact that he's not going to be there because Greg palm for just the coach. I'm assuming that's why. I mean, wouldn't that be a bit awkward if quite Leonard's there and Popovich to coach? I mean, they felt like they got some stuff to still talk about. Maybe I dunno pop teams like the kind of guy who doesn't really get in the way of the game itself. Neither where I'm assuming that's why is not there. See kyri Irving there Kevin, Lebanon, is there drywall? I mean, it's pretty decent amount of players there, but neither where there's something I wanted to know anything else before we get started. Does it all right. So Julio Jones. Obviously, we've been talking a lot about them a last week or so. Wanted more money. He had three more years left on his deal. So I mean, it made no sense for the falcons to give them more money, but they ended up coming in compromising and. The falcons ended up just moving some of the money that Julia was supposed to make the next couple of seasons over to this season. So they pretty much shifted rearrange it and all that. So he'll be making more money this season, then he will the next two years assuming so next offseason they will be working reworking new deal with him. Okay. I mean. It's Julio Jones for me is the second best receiver in the league behind Antonio Brown, and you want your best players at camp. If you're Atlanta. So, like I said, I never thought they were going to. Give him an extension or a pay raise or anything like that, but then rearranging his contract remains in the money around making him make more of the season. Yeah, it makes sense. Now who will obviously gets to make more money and now the falcons you'd have to worry about him not being at camp and let me see how much exactly who he was going to be making the season, the updated it on the little spot track..

"A thousand dollars or worse case scenario, it's going the other way. Let's say it gets to drops one hundred dollars a share. I'm going to have to sell. That's the stock market, right? And I look at Julio Jones. The Atlanta Falcons originally invested so much and Julio Jones. Remember they traded. They basically went from pick twenty seven all the way up to six. They gave multiple first rounders. It was a bold move. Bella check told Thomas Dmitrov one of his pupil. Nls do not do it. I had a lot of friends that are in the business world. When I told about my future investment, Netflix don't. Well, now I'm gonna do it. Thomas Dmitrov didn't listen Bilgic. He did it. And unlike me with the Netflix stock, we'll see what happens. The next several years Julio was a Royal hit. It was a home run. They have experienced seven years of one of the best wide receivers in the league. You know, he's a borderline hall of Famer if his career ended right now, just maybe stats don't quite show it because the stats are quite as great as when you think about it. But if you watch him he's dominant player, but I would say this not many players in the NFL. Non quarterbacks are worth three contracts. The Atlanta Falcons paid him a lot as rookie. Then they extended him several years ago at a premium made him the highest paid wide receiver in the league as he earned it, they have now got seven years made the playoffs several times made the NFC championship, I think was it two thousand twelve or thirteen? When they played, they lost the forty Niners you're the, I guess it was. Would have been like January of two thousand thirteen couple years later. They're in the SuperBowl end up losing, but they've got, you know he had a stretch in two thousand fourteen in two thousand fifteen where it got one hundred forty one hundred four balls, one hundred thirty, six balls the last couple years in the mid eighties only three touchdowns last year I'd argue it's probably time to sell. I'm not into giving Julio Jones. Third contract from the Atlanta Falcons. I bought high and then he exceeded the value of what I paid for the seven years were well worth it. He has been a good guy. Dominant player helped me win a lot, but things change in the NFL thinks change rapidly. I talk about it all the time. You can't get emotional with players non quarterback. They just probably overpaid Matt Ryan. But Matt Ryan is exponentially more important to their success than Julio. They have also one thing that the talks about in this article. Is how well they've drafted recently, you know, guys like the on Jones, that's Vic Beasley. If these guys keep going where it looks like they're going, they are going to be really expensive. We'll guess what the way the NFL works. You start paying second contracts to the league guys. You draft later, you don't give a third contract for a guy based on what he had done previously because more than likely Julio's best football is behind him. He's twenty nine years old by two thousand nineteen. I think he he'll turn thirty into early in two thousand nineteen. Usually once you get over that three year old threshold, most guys aren't Larry FitzGerald. I would bet against that. You know, most guys peak in their mid late twenties. You also just drafted a wide receiver in the first round. Now I'm not saying Calvin release Julio Jones. He's not, but you have to be willing. Take the emotion out if you could get a first rounder right now in get away from this contract. To me, it's a no brainer. I would be shopping Julio Jones. Heavily right now. And there is just no way on God's green earth. I'm giving him a third contract. I'm just not doing it. I would let them play out these couple years which are ten plus million for the next two years. No Brown, but he's clearly uncomfortable with it and I don't really want an uncomfortable superstar because really it's Matt Ryan steam, but it's Atlanta, Falcons are pretty synonymous right now. Julio Jones. And if he's going to be a problem, we're not happy. I don't really want him around..

"They're either going to extend him again, which they'll tear that up in. He'll get another bump because he's still young or he ain't got no tread on the tire anyway, and he's no more good. That's our point, but, but that's exactly what we were saying. He doesn't have any training on the tire. He'll play for the nine million and you'll be done, but it doesn't matter to them. But why would they be tearing up a contract? Because he will be extremely good, and he will be, he will be underpaid and they know that that's our point saying exactly what we says everybody's contract, but that's Julio Jones contract and he extended to loan, send it to loan. Do that has nothing to do with him getting his money affront that has something to do with his agent messing around and extending the contract. You know, he could have got a short deal, Kirk cousins. He got a short deal like. Yeah, cousins. He can kinda short deal like the kid, Sammy Watkins. He could've taken a shorter deal in, got all this money up front, but for whatever reason, whoever represented him extended to deal too long right. We were making by your three, he's going to be making quote, unquote below value for year. They will adjust it right happened how but if but if they don't adjusted, he's no good. No, they don't adjust it. They're going to do Julio Jones's Julio Jones note. No Jones, good. If if if if he's good, yes, they will go back to the table in do the same thing. They've already done Aaron darn or like do Julio Jones. He's no good if he's no good, then they not gonna do it. If Julio Jones was Julio Jones was in. The two years left on the deal polls, the three Dade look at it differently when it's three years, you can't set that precedent with three years left on a damp contract. I've been doing this way too long. I know he. In law set the precedence. I understand that do understand, understand your logic, but our point still remains intact. Correct. Which is if by year three Tigers making nine million, then you're asking the Rams to renegotiate the contract ex you gonna have to pay. You're not gonna ask to renegotiate the contract if you can't play, if no good, but he. Okay. But what if you know that they go come to the table and he'll Aaron Donald have one year. I don't know what they're doing. That's exactly what we're saying. Because as far as we know that deal is just some small little tweaks here near they can't possibly be stupid. I don't know that I'm. Finally do have, and his friends. France. In people, understanding the business, they understand that they gotta get that deal done. They know that you're, but the they don't. They should be fine with the understanding. The understanding is this is that there's also, I mean my look, I'm sure they're doing the accounting, right? But the reality not right, but they, they may not be because we've seen teams screw that up. Plenty of times and what ends up happening is because of what we talked about guys say, oh, I'm I'm getting paid below value, but they don't think like l z was saying, well, no, you got a ton of that money over the first several years of your deal. This is how it works on the back. And that's the contract eunuch. Oh, she ate it and but they don't think that way and they want to go back to the table whether it's Jones, who wants to do it in your three or Todd Gurley, who may wanna do it with two years left on his deal. Brandin cooks is in a weird situation to where he's supposed to get fifty million up front over the first three years. You think he's going to be happy? Come year four of his deal. If if. He's still year, like all those things come and add up. If you're four, he's not producing does not. What happens. If he is produced his contract is up at that point. Anyway, they're going to extend him if he's any good. But what does in work and all the time, if they don't have to extend you, then they'll be doing what Julio Jones is doing right now rack if they totally has three years left on his. Get. Forget him. You're..

"I'm saying these greedy. Yeah, I guarantee you, these fans won't be saying thing. Okay. Once he still got a lot of football left in them, but he's out the league because no one wants to sign a guy because he's thirty. Okay. I'll never understand why I understand fans have their favorite teams and all, but I don't understand why fans are so against the players all the time. Okay. I think it has to do with the fact that these guys are making millions or whatever and other friends are better. But that's a whole different conversation and one where I mean, like I said, yesterday, your nine to five isn't comparable to this job. Okay. Just simply isn't. So you should never compare. Right. But nonetheless, there's that and then you got Julio Jones. Looks like he's going to be holding out in training camp. Right? And. Julio Jones. I mean, he wants to get paid more, but. The deal you signed with the falcons at that time did make you the highest paid receiver in the league. Okay. Don't get mad at the falcons because you're out of guaranteed money now than your contract. Now it's all incentivized and all that. Okay. Get mad at your agent. Obviously, he wasn't planning for the long-term. Okay. So now Julio's holding out. He's got three more years left on his deal. So what you think is Julio going to like there's no way the falcons gave him a new deal. Okay. Absolutely. No way if they would, that's fine. I wouldn't be opposed to it, but nonetheless, it'd be idiotic for them to work. We work any type of deal with Khaleel before the season starts. They say they're willing to do it next season. All right. That's fine. All right. Well, there's a point where if you're Julio Jones, you gotta realize you have absolutely zero leverage here. Okay, everyone knows this is a bluff Julio Jones. What you missed? Training camp. Okay. You'll still be there week one. Okay. He'll still be there suiting up week one to carry out their training camp. Everyone knows what kind of receiver he is eating. The falcons are really worried about it. Okay. It's not like Julio Jones is gonna be on his couch. All training cavalry is going to be working out every day. All right. Of course. I mean, you got people saying they should pay Julio. Why? Why should they pay Julio. All right. People are gonna say, oh, it's because of what he does for the team. It's a business. All right. That stuff doesn't matter. They'll cut you off easily. You had to think of at least watching the game as far as it being a business now, because that's how it works. That's how it runs. Okay. And as far as business go, it makes absolutely no sense for the falcons to giving them a pay raise or anything like that. Okay. And I think the falcons are being good here by telling saying that, you know what will we will rework your deal next season. All right. Next offseason. I mean, we're power who you want to sit out training camp, right? You get fined forty grand a day for not being there. Go ahead. Okay. Falcons aren't giving a new deal, nor should they as of right now? It was the last year of his contract. Yeah, you extend him? Yeah, you give him what he wants. The dude got three years left on his contract. They said, don't get mad at the falcons. If you're Julio Jones, get mad at your agent who k.. I mean, he's the one who buries a negotiated you to get all your money frontloaded on the first couple of years. And now you have no guaranteed money whose fault is that. It's not the falcons smart business by them. All right. So we'll see what ends up happening, but I highly highly highly, highly doubt that the falcons give them more money this offseason. So we'll see what ends up happening. But nonetheless, we're going to wrap it up here next up. We're going to.

"All right, and we'll come back to the SMC sports podcasts spent that I save talking about falcons and Julio Jones seems like the falcons will not be giving Julio Jones a pay raise on his current deal heart non-citizen make any sense for them to. I mean, he's got three more seasons left under contract. And I mean as of right now is about seven or so guys making more than annually, Samantha, pretty team friendly deal according to the market right now. It's like I said he had made no sense to give him a pay raise considering the fact that I mean by the time, this deals up, he'll be thirty two and chances are no one's going to be paying them more than fourteen and a quarter at that time unless he's still producing at a high level. All right. So I mean, I'm Barry who I think he probably deserves a pay raise, but no reason for the falcons give it to him. So we move on from there. I mean, might cause problems with between Julio on the front office, but none the less. I mean, if he's showing up for work, falcons don't really have much to worry about their right. So now we move on to the NBA. Okay, Celtics, not too many free agent questions and decisions surrounding them this time last year it was more so going after Gordon Hayward the year before that going after a guy Al Horford. Now. It's more so signed back your guys who have been. There are one of those guys. Marcus smart was a restricted free agent. This ops season. All right. Was linked to the nets was linked to the kings for a bit. Nothing real serious. As far as the market surrounding him, it seemed like the like the Celtics were maybe just going to let the let it play out and probably just have them sign his qualifying offer, and then let them become a free agent next.

"All right. Today's Thursday, and let me tell you what's going on. Julio Jones been holding out. He seeing that guys like Jarvis Landry, Sammy Watkins making more money annually than he. He is right now. So he figures well, now is the next best possible thing to do. So that way. You get paid more money. All right. Only problem there is that I will leave. Julio Jones has about two three more years left on his contract. Okay. Julio can't just sit out the season and wait till they give him a new deal. So his contract seven, two thousand twenty. So we've got three more seasons to play with falcons. All right. There's no leverage there for him to get a new deal done. So we talking about all that falcons not saying they're not going to be paying them. Okay. We got some NBA news Jubair Parker says you don't get paid to pay defense. Welcome to the new MBA folks. All right. Welcome to the new MBA. We'll get some an. We'll be talking Tiger Woods. Talk about him to plan in the open. All right. Is he going to be able to win this time? PU knows. I mean, we'll give my thoughts on all that. And then like I said, we'll be talked about anything else going on in the world of sports to debt are no-show tomorrow I won't be in. So this'll be the last show of the week, but nonetheless it'll be the best one of the week, I'd say. All right. So let's get into the whole Julio Jones and Atlanta, Falcons. All right. So actually I may get right out so players making more annually by receivers since Meghan, more annually than Julio Jones. Those are Mike Evans, de'andre Hopkins, Brandin cooks Jarvis Landry Antonio, Brown, AJ, green, devante, atoms. Sammy walk ins. Let's see momentum. Anyone else. Now I am not. All right. So those are the names making more annually than Julio Jones. Okay. How many of those players that I named can you say are better than Julio Jones? All right. I'd say Antonio Brown. You can make the argument, Antonio Brown, I'd say, yeah..
