"You said. The browns is the browns right famously. Did that motivate. The browns demoted browns D- my take time. The corvette corvette motivate the browns And got to the point where they had a a billboard saying the browns the browns the browns in cleveland an actual billboard so then people making shirts you know i shoulda llc I'm gonna wind. Did it look there show To make some cash there. But i think they came out. They did their job. They played hard. They beat us and it is what it is. Did mike tomlin to coach tomlin or anyone else. Approach you than anyone look at you. Sideways like to billboard bulletin board material and then. They turned around beat us in the playoffs. actually did not say anything about it I think the media blew up to be something bigger than what it is. And yeah i mean then then you have a problem wanted. No one did coach. Didn't say anything to you. Know i couldn't hear did you say no because Raj thought it was appropriate to talk right in my ear brandon brandon brandon. Didn't know one one nobody's They say there's no problem with it. Would you do it again or do you feel like maybe they didn't need that extra little adrenaline. Would you do it again. Would you make a comment like that again. In those circumstances or do regret it. I don't i don't regret all okay. Juju smith schuster here on the mcelman show. Espn radio you also said. Recently juju go. You're you're wrapped up in. So many kind of fake controversies that i would love to exploit make into actual controversies. You're deftly sidestepping. Everything that the afc north is the nfl's best division. That's outrageous. you know how why figure the afc north. I understand what you mean about. Joe burrow what. He's he looks like it. Could be a good quarterback. The bengals ain't there yet. House the afc north best division of football. On the if you think about it all our games games. Cleveland baltimore and even the bengals they would even give our own division run for their money you know and i think if you have a eight obse nord's burst south or east or west. I think i think you know. I had all sorts like that. It will definitely you know when no-brainer all right well. nfc west is a pretty good division. You know what. I'm saying like every team from the nfc supernatural. Everybody's been saying saying nfc west. You know i'll be that'd be the match your its northwest energy wes. Juju smith schuster. Before i let you go what's going on with sharman So i probably over charlene basically you know they created Where it can bases take over. You know i'd usually. I changed over the screen while use the bathroom. And you'll have to be rude and interrupt meetings calls business streams you pretty much are their live and they can respond to anything that anyone saying and it's probably the best thing that's going to go in for all of us in the future and and pretty much makes you a lot much easier and you can go to the bathroom using them. One number two with donald novels. I say interesting to trick you. I tricked you because there's one more question ready for this antonio brown whose who posted stuff of you made you look good as a collegiate athlete texting him and he thought it made you look bad and all that but at one point he looked like the bad guy and it's like dan but juju smith schuster looks like the guy but it's funny the way things work a lot of it is like in the end who wins an ab just want a super bowl. And he's going back on that team and in my view though. You're a very good receiver. You have yet to prove that you are a number one in his absence. Which was the big question. Do you have any comment about any of that. Especially about u. n. Right now for for him. I mean congratulate him for. It's crazy to see that you know to our great players. Still you know where you know in the super bowl. You know whether it's whether it's ab and you know he went out there and that's one thing about ab out there any day like no matter what he says you know on our says on off the pill like he's in a ball on the field and that's something he's he's always done. You know since i've been around it and even today he's just involved That's him on that as far as being in them one. I just shows that you know. We have so many bizarre team that you know anybody get more anytime in the day. And you know i'd rather go eleven in oregon with the the the same stuff that had then to to be the number one guy and we don't you know we don't make the playoffs you know and i i'm more so about you know when he as far as everyone being in one. Yeah most definitely. You'll see outside more this year. You see me. Go down to fill more. And it's a it's an approved so i got a one year deal to prove myself and decides name pittsburgh. "I really do want to hear medina. Spirit explain himself. I didn't know it was a steroid. Max i promise a likely story. The max kellerman show on espn radio and espn plus also check me out on the espn app and siriusxm channel eighty. God you know how many radio hosts must be making mr ed jokes today. I guess i'll just be another one. We gotta get mr ed interview. 'em afc north the nfl's best and you won't believe that because apparently juju smith schuster does eighty eight say espn eight. Eight eight seven nine. Three seven six. The max kellerman show is presented by progressive insurance. Now one hundred villanueva is offensive. Tackle in the nfl now on the ravens signed a new deal with the ravens went to the rival. Baltimore ravens from the pittsburgh steelers. I've got a lot of respect for villanueva and the road he took because he wasn't this high draft pick who was given a chance to lose a job basically compete for a job. He was a dude who's on tried to be a tight end. He was on defense. He's on offense and he finally stuck and committed some pro bowls as an offensive tackles a left tackle. That shows you something about someone's character my questioning that how ever he went at juju smith schuster. He said one of the issues with the steelers annoys baltimore raven now but one of the issues with the steelers is. They didn't have a balanced attack. They didn't offense. They didn't run the ball at all but villanueva part of the problem. Is y'all in blocked for the run. I mean listen. He's a really primarily known for pass protection right. he's okay. It blocked left tackle. Is there really to protect the quarterback's blindside and he does a good job of that. Very good job but the fact of the matter is rothlisburger. Your one year. Twenty percent of your offensive line and sometimes less than that when you count in the tight end in whatever you need a running back to chip whatever but you're a percentage of the offensive line now on the line was villanueva pounds. He's since retired and they did not do a good job. Giving rothlisberger time to throw the ball giving receivers time to get down the field and especially giving the running backs any holes at all. So what do you think mike. Tomlin doesn't wanna call run. Plays mike tomlin is against running the football when he got the job as the steelers head coach the head at the press conference. He said mom the ball stopped. The steelers football. I fell in love right there. He had me at. Hello he had me at run. The ball stop the run steelers football. 'cause before i was a giants fan giants. Stunk is a little kid. If your local team stunk you to out of market teams to choose from the cowboys. If you didn't have a soul and the steelers if were a real person a good human being nevertheless i became a steelers fan. So i hear the steel giants fan since then but i hear a steelers head coach new head coach. They only get one every like twenty years on the ball. Stop the run steelers football. I'm like i'm in now. The league has changed since tomlin's got got the job but it's not like tomlin has something against running the ball so you never line the could block for the run create holes so doing waivers complaining that the line isn't better 'cause it's not kind of more fun for them. They're not as engaged because everyone knows they're throwing the ball. Well hold up one hundred but like time out. Then he turned around and said about juju smith schuster. I know it's not as fun for the for the wideouts who are making tick tock if they don't throw the ball enough oh wait a minute. So it's juju. Smith schuster is fault for wanting the ball thrown to him a lot but even the reason the offense is like that in the first place where it's imbalanced because y'all can't block for the run put. The reason you're giving for not being able to do that better is because it's no fun for you guys. How could you turn around and make fun of juju. You see what. I'm saying rajasthan clear. Is it clear what i'm saying airman. I'm a little surprised but yeah it's clear have to make sure up. Juju smith schuster now joins us again. Radio juju you doing good great to have you on. What do you think about this shade from your former less tackle villanueva i mean i i kinda get where he's coming from but i think i think he was more so saying that You know he prefers to be at a balanced offense and to be out of passing offense and you know i totally get the you know as you know his position Juju don't touch the. I'm trying to stir up some controversy here. Don't try to agree with him. He look he made his residence to your t referred to your tick tock making. Isn't that kind of taken a shot at you like to me. He was the issue. You didn't run the ball more because the line wasn't good enough at blocking for the run. That's why y'all run the ball more and then when he turns around and says it's not as fun for a guy like you and take shots at you making tik toks but then turns around and says yeah we didn't we didn't block for the run better because it was no fun for us. He's kind of using an excuse for the lines. Poor play the very thing. He's accusing you of. Do you see what i'm saying. Now say something. Go back at villanova in some way makes headlines. Go ahead now. You isn't houston. Houston mantra talks this. He was in them. What do you do you doing talks. he was chased thought but To be honest. I mean i think for his say you prefer the more wrangling about offers. A package offense and Then they like tough for us To run the ball. But more. So i think you know doing the ball with weapons. We had cages. There's first of all raj now. I need you to find a tiktok. That villanueva is dancing in. We gotta play that through. Spn plus juju smith schuster on the max kellerman show espn. Radio says villain. Wave was dancing in his talks. Oh the nerva villanueva turnaround and then make fun of you.

"But here's the question or the leaker smarter for resting lebron making sure. He's okay or the clippers smarter for letting play through. This injury with the clippers be better off taking a more laker like tack with kawhi right now load managing or pain managing letting them he'll up or is it better to have that continuity who has the advantage if they do meet in the first round the battle for la. I'm saying lakers fans want it with the clippers right now. Would you rather seem a little down the road in the playoffs. When when lebron deon schreuder get reacclimated and we integrated why jian kentucky you're on the max kellerman show. Espn radio mac. Why I just want to say The the lakers are in plan game. i think it's good for the nba. But i don't think it's good for the players all electric fan Why they're going to be real good. Why is it bad for them. So they could lose to the warriors of the blazers. One game staffer lillard get hot. What can you do. You think they would then also lose to either the grizzlies or the spurs i with lebron ada schreuder and everyone back on see it now you say that but i think it might take a little out of them and then i think that i think that wrestling levine is probably the best thing to do with an ankle or a hammy or something like that. I hear you but to me. What what what more than offsets. That is getting the lakers into a playoff atmosphere or an act playing games really a playoff. So that when they face the first round opponent who remember it's going to be either the jazz. The sons or the clippers is going to be rule this year when they see that opponent they are already in play off mode a couple games. They're going to need that to ramp up to take out one of these teams. Were there ain't going to be a title defenses here george in los angeles. You're on the max kellerman show. Espn radio i'm max. Yes so i feel that. I agree that it's actually in the lakers. Best interest to go through the plan tournament. It's kind of like a blessing in disguise. And the reason. Why is that when you just get off and the injury and lebron's going to be barely getting off an injury. You need a little time to get a rhythm together because you really don't know how it's going to be based on your feet and so forth but the other more important thing is the clippers have so much depth nicholas but to patrick. Beverley remained got like northern shooting. Forty five plus percent from three. Who can't even get into the playoff. Rotation apparently like thai lou shorten the rotation canard could shoot the lights out. Look if he was in the east he'd be an all star. So sarah higher power and the last thing we would need to play a very dominant very Strong bench like the clippers in the first round. Because i could see the clippers taken out the lakers in the first round by the way now to see if that if that's the restarted right now if they were to play the clippers in the first round right now no plan no nothing. I think the clippers should be favored. Sorry paul george kawhi leonard and then they have. They have like playoff rondo. Don't forget the lakers had a big three in the playoffs. Last year. rondos an all star in the playoffs all star caliber player. He ain't on a lakers clippers. Now nick petunia. Once got close to a max deal and then he stopped playing because he got his money and he wasn't in the competitive situation. Stop playing these. He started playing again right serge. Ibaka bacchus been hurt for a long time. Now he's traveling with the team. He could come back and he's not a major piece to integrate in the sense that he spaces the floor and protects the rim. It's not like reintegrating a piece like lebron or ad or even shrewder. Who's more fundamentally involved in in the offense paul in studio city. You're on the max kellerman show. Espn radio max is a lifelong laker fan. My biggest concern right now isn't really whether we're in sixth or seventh or any of that. It's these last couple of games. Are we gonna see. Anthony davis become the alpha on this team. Where even if lebron comes back we go through a completely. He has to lead the charge going into the that last year. Though dude the kind of laid lebron knew he needed a d. and those playoffs and a d. was the dominant guy and a lot of those games you know. I think i think lebron goes to planning on using that way anyway because when a is right in the western conference. What kind of a matchup do you really have for them. You know like oh go. Bears this defensive player. Ben simmons says no he's not because like there are guys who can do. Some of what gobert can also switch off onto like point guards. Gobert can't do that know so so he can't really handle a both ends of the floor and the andre probably a couple years away from really being able to hang with a guy like a d. No i and the clippers they have some bodies to throw them but no one really match up with a d. he's the matchup mismatch or the match up. Mismatch mismatch up anyway. He's the guy that i think. Lebron nosy has to use in these places much as he did last year. Then the question is without rondo can can is. Ad capable in an improved western conference in improved conference is ad capable of being that same guy again which included shooting.

Anthony davis Ben simmons nick petunia lebron jian kentucky sarah patrick los angeles Last year Gobert last year sixth three Lebron george gobert seventh paul george kawhi leonard Ibaka bacchus lebron ada schreuder

"Night before that week seventeen matchup against the steelers and he said. Look my message to the team. All season even in the offseason when i was hired was. We've gotta hit the curveball. We've got to be able to deal with unexpected things and a few days later. He tested positive for cova case scenario for the browns. But these guys they want. They believe what their head coach told them all season. Which is hey when things happen. Such as this week we've got to roll with it and guys still feel like they've got a win for the guys who can't play yup so maybe that's a little bit of motivation. And if they needed more maybe juju smith schuster gave them some motivation as he may have added some fuel to this rivalry with these comments about the browns now the same balancing my baby here nameless faceless. The as a couple of players are under team but identity is the browns is the browns as one of the things that team. But i'm just repented again Under or should we got trapped. David paterson laughing. In clark looking mad. Go ahead david. What do you think of that. I low key like it because by the way he used mike tomlin's 'isms the nameless opponent. I liked that. He used a nameless opponent. Actually talking trash like. I don't know. I thought it was funny. I don't think the browns thought it was funny but Do been known for dancing on the field and having the antics and then tomlin kind of rain in tomlin will love. this are actually taking tomlin. Well i kind of like he was right he was like the browns had a cute.

"As i've been doing these all season you can take those wednesday reports and you can take them with a grain of salt. Thursday's the day where you really see which way or players trending you know. I mean this is when you see if they're downgraded from full to limited or if they're upgraded from limited to fool or maybe they don't practice a lot of good information on it should be noted before we get started with the actual injury report. It should be noted that ronnie harrison the safety for the browns has Tested positive for covid nineteen. He's going to be out. This really puts the browns in a bind. There secondary's already thin. This is going to make it even more challenging for them. They haven't been able to practice a week. This was a mistake. I made on wednesday. I made the assumption because they didn't have any positive tests that they were actually able to practice. That's that's not. The case from the fort's i've read coming out of cleveland baker mayfield. Said he would be fine if he doesn't throw a pass leading up into the game. I find that hard to believe that that would be considered a ideal situation nonetheless. That is insensitive as it sounds. That's not the steelers problem. You know what i mean. This is a situation where the pittsburgh steelers are preparing for the play. They're practicing. They don't have an outbreak or anything like that. The steelers got some good news. Not only yesterday roberts. Spleen and matt feiler get. The clock started on them possibly returning off injured reserve. Today they got eric. Ebron cassius marsh off the covid nineteen reserve list in. So that's good news for the pittsburgh steelers heading into the playoff game. Let's talk about the injury report. First and foremost the players. They did not practice for one reason or the other the only two and these were new developments wide receiver. Juju smith schuster did not practice with the knee injury and isaiah bugs did not practice with an illness just as a reminder juju smith schuster did practice fully on wednesday so this is something that either just popped up or maybe. It's been a nagging injury. I don't know but he did not practice. Keep an eye on that although bugs with an illness not a huge loss. If he can't play we'll see how that how that trends here other than that. Linebacker vince. Williams you did not practice on. Wednesday was a full participant. Tyson did not practice on wednesday either with an ankle. He was back to full drill edmonds. Who missed last week with a shoulder. Injury continues to be full participants that he looks like he's trending in the right direction. Steven nelson was limited on wednesday with a knee injury. He was back to a full participant. They need him. Because you don't have him. And joe haden missing the sunday. We know joe haden is not going to play because of covid nineteen and the one injury i said to keep an eye on yesterday. Chris boswell with right groin injury. He went from limited on wednesday to a full participant on thursday. So there you have those injury an injury report. It's very interesting to me You kind of assume that williams and ottawa would be back in they are. I assume that nelson would be back in is boswell as least trending in the right direction. He was a full participant. Let's see what he looks like on friday. Maybe they can get him back. We'll see we'll talk about this injury report here in a second. Let's go over to the other side of the coin. Remember practice participation for wednesday and thursday estimations. They're not practicing. So let's go through this. Jc treasure center with a knee was limited quarterback. Tit tabby your thomas with an abdomen was full. Why at teller guard with an ankle was limited. Cornerback stewart with a calf limited defensive tackle sheldon. Richardson with a neck was limited donovan. Jones with a concussion again did not practice. It doesn't look like he'll be available wide. Receiver jarvis landry with the hip was full kendall. Lan attack with an illness was would have been full myles. Garrett with a shoulder would have been full and then tackle jack conklin with a knee would have been limited so again these all estimations. This has happened to the steelers when they were working on a short week and they give out a four wednesday practice report. But it's not really practice report because they're not actually practicing. The browns have in practice yet this week. So i apologize again. I thought that's a pretty a pretty huge oversight on my part Let's let's dive into the steelers into report. Quick let's just say let's assume for the sake of this podcast. Juju smith schuster is not able to play just for this assumption. Just for this practice this exercise. We'll call it. The i think the steelers would be fine. The missing a guy that does a lot of dirty work for them on third downs. Those crossing routes tough catches contested catches getting hit. I do want to say. I don't think the juju smith schuster is gonna miss this game unless it's a significant knee injury. I think he'll play but still you have to wonder what if otherwise when you look at the in report chris boswell cannot play when we know matthew writes going to be out of step in. He doesn't have the leg the boswell has but at the same time he's certainly capable We know that if i can't play. He hasn't been getting a helmet and the typical game days anyways. That's been going carla davis. The steelers wouldn't lose a lot there. I gotta be honest with you folks. This is a pretty good injury. Report for the pittsburgh steelers. It could be a lot worse for the steelers into the playoffs. And they're getting players back. They're able to win this game. You would assume they would get joe haden back. That's only going to add their secondary. This pittsburgh steelers team in terms of injuries. They're trending in the right direction. Even though the team lost four five and a lot of people say they're trending in the wrong direction from a health and injury standpoint. They trending in the right direction. So friday's the day. Friday is the day where we will see who practiced. Who didn't who's in who's out who's questionable. Who is doubtful. All that stuff will have that right here for you on our podcast. Wherever you get your podcasts. Google play itunes apple. Podcast is your anchor pandora spotify. You name it search steelers or behind the curtain and you'll find us follow. Steelers vs. Browns - Game Recap

"The cleveland browns. Two thousand two. The last time this franchise was in the playoffs but they beat the steelers yesterday's and they get in and dan. They started out running the football with nick. Chubb that power. Run game with nick chubb. You see that offensive line. Kind of changing. Denting the line of scrimmage and then chubs depth pig playmaking physical and not between the tackles but also got big enough speed and baker. Getting don is looking for tight. End up ten nine on first and goal in the third quarter this afternoon. Yeah the fact that they went back to this he missed it in the same play gets his is. Backside finds often prefer touchdown. No ben in this game mason rudolph way had some good moments. And then he had this one really good blitz packet by the browns defensive drop myles garrett into and then that safety to sit there like all right. Don't leave the ball mason. Rudolph shoots turner for this defense. Need mental switched sides on the field because it went to the fourth quarter and then it went to jarvis landry and the browns were up twenty four to nine not love this play. Call you kind of get. Landry sideline to sideline and you handed off for the touchdown. And then finally you get the ball out of pittsburgh's defense something that chase claypool done. So well look at his ability. Go up kind of contest for that. Catch over jumped. The fence and back touchdown pitchford. That made it twenty four sixteen and then under two minutes to go in the game and this is juju smith schuster and all of a sudden. It's twenty four twenty two dan. How about the two point conversion you gotta make sure at some point. This guy's got the opportunity to go high point of all scrambled around. Give them a chance to go get his hands on that. Football fewer still had chances stephen. Carlson somehow manages to come up with this on side kick. he's eighty nine cleveland. There for a moment there was kind of between the wickets. If you know what i mean. But he manages to hang onto it. And then dan baker mayfield runs with the first down the isis. The player not love the play call by defense came look at the emotion from baker mayfield. You don't kind of representing that city. Just look how much it means to him to finally get that done in cleveland. Good for him good for them. The browns are in the playoffs. The afc wild card round will kick off saturday.

"Now the heck you leave a house is on you gotta pay bills. You even really mad about the house lights. Were mad about the air conditioning. You were mad that they had been late to dinner three times over the last month. That's what's going on in pittsburgh. I'm listening they're not mad at two dancing. They're not what are they mad at. They're mad at the fact that juju sorry right now should be like they're mad at the fact that seventy six on and pro football focus. They're mad at the magnin juju. You went for fourteen hundred yards two years ago and once ya five season you went for fort. Eighteen hundred yards in your sophomore season software season by the way the year that just posted a slump. Sophomore slump. that's where that comes from wold but now what would be your senior season. The year you really should be maturing for years some contract depending on if you're a first round pick etcetera and now ju- all you got is six hundred seventy yards your last two years combined. Don't even match your total from your sophomore year. So what this really is. Tomlin is kicking back. Like oh i'm not gonna call juju out for being sorry. Sorry and context sorry compared to what he should be going out for being. Sorry so instead. What am i gonna call them out for in theft steelers fans. What are we going to call them out for managing for dancing issue really to dance and sale and nass. Why have a problem with it is because they're addressing something that's not actually addressing something. They're addressing a symptom of losing instead of the illness of what's causing this losing as you just said so. Why give me that again to go ahead. Gotta get their dressing a symptom of losing not the illness that's causing the same losing their symptoms of losing anything. What's how'd you get here. "One cares what you're doing not doing what you're supposed to be doing jews. Dancing got nothing to do with ben's decline a. Don't do that. It ain't got nothing to do with Downplayed johnston's dropped passes or eric. Ebron pass jews dazzling ain't even got nothing to do with jew. Jews play is now become an issue because these sales are starting to stack up. Stand up like they play in tetris. Let me talk about the real issues that we should be talking about. The problems created a list of the problems that the steelers should be focusing on postal. Dude use dancing. How about this number one. Big ben's arms number two passes defensive injuries number four. There's no running game and number five the old line struggles if you start to go all the way down to a number one hundred twenty five our we making it issue out this dude dancing for tiktok before the game is not an issue brochure I love you love that. Take it however the other side of that take a response. Which is it is the right move right. Move for juju to stop dan now. Now we're addressing the wrong thing to do dancing. Because even mike tomlin went on record two weeks ago and said i'm not seeking. Comfort are looking for excuses based on our recent performances on things that occur in pre game or things of that nature that are social media related translation. Give a damn what he does before the game because if anybody does before the game between the whites for sixty minutes is what matters. Most we both agree at how ever you gotta earn the right to mess it up. You gotta earn the right to be a distraction in any situation and juju smith. Schuster has not earned that right. Juju smith schuster needs to focus in on his game. He needs to single out. How we know. Juju smith schuster ask a baller and baller only not a gamer in all these hashtags gamertag playstation five things not as a dancer as a wide receiver. Remember the conversation star from the beginning. Judah smith are you a number one and number two. Oh you like a number one day be is a be better to you. I don't know jusoh look at are. You may not be as good as a beach right there. Oh ab as a distraction who earned the right to be a distraction. You gotta go to dismiss yotaro number one. Excuse me what is pro. Football focus right now rank. Juju smith schuster as number seventy six as a wide receiver. How about the fact that juju smith schuster ranks one hundred and twenty first in phil yards per reception. One twenty one. The point is when you're twenty one and anything don't be number one own that fill in pre-game dance no logo so juju. Smith has found out the age old issue to everyone. Has that if you go get all of this attention. You have to be deserving of that attention as earned it has an earned it and now he's in this position where he's going to get criticized. Okay i'm with that. But i'm gonna go left to end up going back right right with me here. You have a better analogy that myself. You've lived a little bit longer but you know if you're so you had a relationship okay. My experience my expertise. I'm there in a relationship and the person who in a relationship with late dinner two three times in a row. you're irritated and aggravated about being dinner. But you don't say anything about that. Don't sit on so what happens. You don't say anything about that. So all of a sudden they leave your house lights on and they leave your air conditioning running. And now you're snap.

"And now my conversation which is going to be. It's going to start off a little choppy. Because i wanted to see juju schuster's bog the french bulldog boosy and i actually showed him my dog chuck of recording from my apartment in brooklyn. And so you sorry you won't be able to see boosy and he won't be able to see chuck but i mean hey go on my instagram page. Gone his and you'll see a lot oji on my instagram page. Peter king eight. Which is my instagram account Go on my instagram page. You'll see a lot of trump but Here's my conversation which are recorded on monday. Would juju smith schuster of the ten in pittsburgh steelers. all right. we're recording is bougie anywhere in sight. He sees he's around okay when he comes around. You don't wanna see him seeing right at the beginning and then we'll get this. Do you wanna bring him at some point. Brianna chimaera comedian chuck walker. Jean all right. Hang on one second. All right judy. Say hi to chuck out it. Certainly no rescue golden retriever. Ause how old is he. He's five bush years. Yeah burji has two hundred and thirty six thousand followers. Yeah that's approximately two hundred and thirty. Three thousand northern may famous french bulldog pittsburgh men. They love listen to him. He's got a good voice so so juju. I'm going to start by just asking you. Does you know your ten in own now with with the steelers and you've got this this great platform in you have so much fun but on thursday. The national dog show is going to be held on. Nbc at noon before your game that night against the baltimore ravens. So i'm going to ask you what would you rather have. Would you rather have buji win the national dog show or would you rather beat the baltimore ravens. That's that's a hard choice than i. Love my dog to death and then winning the national dog show the awesome But it's rarely ever get a thursday night football and maybe nfl for years. I never had a thanksgiving thursday night football. So this is my first son. Probably have to say the baltimore ravens right. I get that juju on sunday in your game chase claypool your fellow receiver on the steelers scored a touchdown any did something in the end zone that nobody could figure out what in the world he was doing yoga and then somebody finally found out. Hey wait a minute. it's juju smith schuster birthday. Would you please explain what exactly happened in the end zone. Yes basically how went down. Was they want the team to come up with a situation or are receivers. Are running backs tight. Like you'll review score touchdown celebrations producers birthday. So i came up with idea of using a foot. Candle lighting it in obviously everybody happy birthday to me and then just blurted it out. I think it's pretty cool unique Very different but i try and twenty four This so did. Did your teammates really sing. Happy birthday in the end zone. They did they did. It did really quick because we knew we knew we had a short period. Time bar celebration Before we go so yeah that's got to be one of the craziest end zone celebrations in. Nfl history. are you proud of it. I'm very very proud very cool. You know To plan my birthday debate the jaguars obstacle now There's so many things. And like i said this is awesome distribution part in tablet to pay my brothers because usually my family doesn't come out Just because what's going on with kobe and plus they're far away there in l. a. and i'm already out here so. Do is nice to have him around. Planted them you know what is really interesting about your team right now because obviously in the nfl things move so fast teams change so quickly and you know when you got to the nfl. It was basically you know antonio brown lay beyond been. It was a big. It was a big star team. And now you still have stars. But it's all new and you guys are all young all year receivers twenty five and younger. You know you deontay. Johnson and and chase claypool. I mean the whole the whole group. So what has that been like kind of transforming from more of a veteran team to now it's more of almost it's such a young team and that's funny you say that because you know twenty five is obviously being Out of all the is. I'm probably the most that. I'm a veteran intergroup. Just because the years. I played on a team. You know four years you know. Playing with ben and samantha and coach t. causes the new young money. were young or renew. Renew so has definitely for us is definitely different. But you know. I'll tell you one thing about you. Know the same in on previous everybody on his team is is unselfish. There's there's Selfishness on who gets the ball whose scores catches you having yards. it's all about. It's a team sport and we win together and so far we have been doing is winning. you know. sometimes you can tell guys will say things like that. But sometimes when there's like a wide angle replay of a touchdown and you see you comes over to celebrate the touchdown and maybe there's one guy who doesn't come over you say well everybody says it's a team and i don't care who gets the glory but this guy looks a little ticked off. He's not getting the ball. But there's been a couple of times this year where chase claypool obviously is kind of breakout. Star makes a big player. Scores a big touchdown. And you are sprinting to get to chase claypool. You noticed. celebrate with them. So why are you that way. And what is it about your team. That makes you guys this way. You know for always been a person to everybody you know especially on my teammates you know what the best I think in my previous years we've always had A player who Felt different about when i scored or another another person scored and you can tell who's that who's celebrating. We celebrate the team team sport. So i realized you know young rookie coming in. He's balling ten ten ten games touchdowns house young rookie doing his thing. I'm just so happy for him. You know i'm happy for him for his family. You know he's he's come a long way and the all come along way to get to herat today so this is a blessing and just enjoying every moment of it as a team I think this is the closest ever man. You know our defense offense. We talked a hand behind each other. I'll give each other praises and no matter how the game is going. There's been situations where we we've been down on offense and we have to come back in fight to win the game but all-star data's being able to stop the their offense and you know we we stick together as one so We always they were innocent. So that's just how he is brothers..

"You're going somewhere even if you're just staying home in this sort of odd year for thanksgiving really hope you get to listen to this podcast particularly of my conversation with alex. Smith is many of you know. The washington quarterback two years ago was in significant. Trouble is life and his right leg which was very nearly amputated. You'll hear the story here and you'll hear reason. I wanted to have him on. This week is that. I know alex smith he doesn't Lie around feeling sorry for himself and he certainly didn't when that happened so it's been two years since that since that moment and he wants everyone happy thanksgiving and i know he's going to have one as well also this week. Juju smith schuster. Now i'll tell you the story. About how juju smith schuster is on this show one of my coworkers at nbc. Sports tests quinlan Who along time ago. I coach on a girl softball team in montclair new jersey. Said you know. Hey we got the dog show on this year. The national dog show which is thursday at noon. Eastern on nbc. And maybe you could get juju smith schuster because he's got this really cute dog of his french bulldog named boosy and maybe he could come on and talk about the dog show so i started to think that's probably not going to happen then. I said why not. Let's try to get juju. Smith schuster on to talk fuji and the dog show and so therefore i did and he said yes. So you'll hear juju in fact there's gonna be video floating around a shot of judas. French bulldog who has by the way over two hundred thousand instagram filers. Buji the dog So we have a good conversation with juju smith schuster and also about how much he really wants to undefeated with this dealer teams. You'll you're from. Alex smith and doodoo smith schuster. Were putting the podcast out a little bit early this week. Just because you know. There's no real reason to wait. I had both of these conversations. Done and i thought maybe you would. You might wanna hear these conversations early this week in holiday week but before i start in i just want to tell you just a little bit about how the sausage is made my job and then a little bit about of the conversation i had on sunday night That sort of led me to to write the column that i wrote this week a football morning in america you know as many of you know read my column. I talked to people on the phone during the day and try to do some stories about stuff that was hot that day in the nfl. Just it so happened than in week. Eleven i thought that the lead of my column was probably gonna be about a taste. Some hill of the new orleans saints starting his first game after being on the saints for three years and i got pay some mail to talk about it sean. Payton coach of the saints. They're both very good. So sit down to watch to write it in on sunday night is i was there was writing. I had the tv on. Because i'm an old man now. And i don't deal well with distractions while i'm trying to writing so i can't look up in the end that will create the great football game so i stuck writing early in the third quarter and i started watching this game. I was transfixed by a so many of you. I bet worthy the las vegas. Kansas city game where kansas city in the second half of this game came back from deficits of seventeen fourteen Twenty four twenty one and thirty one twenty eight. I think those and they kept coming back. Because i believe we are watching right now. The michael jordan of the nfl. In fact i had although headline on my piece in the column. We're watching jordan. So i texted the to pr people of the kansas city chiefs ted cruz and and brad g and i said if there's any way i can get hose afterwards if you guys win i'd love to be able to talk to so you know you have to know in this business. Don't ask for. Patrick mahomes very often maybe two or three times a year at most and so they were very good to me afterwards. obviously chiefs win the game. Thirty five thirty one and may get me mahomes eight minutes before. He's been run out of a skit on a plane back to kansas city. And what i found. So interesting is what i always find out. Mahomes mahomes does not mainland these little conversations. Because he knows that i think he knows that i like the little inside. What really happened. You know during these bribes. So i asked them about this final drive and and essentially you know right at the end of the game. Wanna know what really really happened in the game and so i asked him so that that final timeout xactly happened. When you were driving with less than a minute to go maybe thirty. Thirty five They've got second in seven and the ball is vegas twenty two and they called their final. Timeout goes to the sidelines and he's got a play in mind that he absolutely wants to run. He goes to the sidelines in and he sees. Eric is office coordinator says. Hey there's a player. I really wanna run tells. The play he goes. Well that's good. That's good but what about this point. Any tells them the play that they ended up. Running home said hey. I i like that play a lot and as he said to me afterwards he said that's what i really love about our offense that they take my ideas. I dare ideas. I'm out there. And i respect the fact that they say. Well what do you think. Because he's you know. I'm i'm out there kind of in the in the battle and so he went from the idea that he really liked to the idea. They liked and he said okay..

"juju smith schuster" Discussed on Behind the Steel Curtain

"Juju Smith Schuster is on the team and he will I'm not just talking. I'm talking to contract. I'm talking second contract I'm not talking. Let's not get into the weeds with the fact that you know if he signs A. Tag. You know let's just not look at a franchise tag looks at the future being new contract for Juju. I'm saying what's going to happen I'm I. Hope I'm right I respect your opinion, though and that's that's probably the glory of the homer in the hater, so you fit in. Real perfect right there. Awesome. So. If. You ever get the Maryland to. We, there's a whole bunch of us here in Maryland. As far as a s, C goes, so we can definitely get you to the as here as well. South so as far as everything goes. Let's transition a little more to from the wide receivers injudiciousness Schuster to Ben Rothlisberger. Now. Let's look at Ben. He proclaims back. I don't think he's back, but we don't know but medical sciences on so many things since one thousand, nine hundred four. Wouldn't Terry Bradshaw? Injury, so you look at that? You have people like Ryan Switzer and Ju- and even James Connor Sane Man. Ben Is back in. He is on the mark, so we'll find that we'll find that out for sure when minicam start. And of course, that's going to be delayed when training Camp Stars as well and when you look at the fact that the NHL is probably not getting back to business until July. For the season with the playoffs. That's probably going to be maybe a little bit later for the NFL, but you just don't know with that. Being said is covert nineteen going to be? A problem for Ben Rothlisberger as far as his. Return to the game. You know I would have said like you'd think it'd be the opposite. You think they would have given more time. I was a little surprised that they already put the schedule out. I thought for sure. Why not delay things maybe a week or two like I think we could, we could handle that and like players get a little bit more rest. He's more time to come back. But now I don't feel necessarily affect Ben because he'll just be throwing little bit less I. I feel like that could only help like he knows how to play the game. You don't play nearly twenty years as a quarterback and. He's going to make the whole thing, so you don't really do that. Just not knowing what you're doing, so the mental side of things. He's not gonNA. Lose, but. When it comes to actually getting the strength back, he's thrown with this wide receivers lot, but he's he's not gonNA. Take any hits I. Obviously, he wouldn't in practice or cap anyway, but. He can do what he wants to do. And I feel like will be Ben I. Think for me what the most frustrating thing is! They never came out and said exactly what the surgery was. It was Tommy John then. Typically guys come back stronger. That's the nature of the surgery, but then. I think the only thing they ever said was. It wasn't Tommy John But. Are they telling the truth, which is surprising because the NFL you actually they actually say like pinpoint like what the injury is. It's not hockey. It's not lower body injury that you get on the report and say. Who knows that this is going to be back in a day or two months it. It's the weirdest thing to me that it was never released so I feel like it should help Ben just getting a little bit more rest, but There's so much information that's kind of just been missed that we don't know exactly what's going on. Well. I'm going with the Dave Scofield diagnosis because he he was sitting on my couch and we were watching the Seattle game together, and when he noticed, he said Excuse me, that's his elbow. He's done for the year. He could tell just the way he was hanging it and but even though he doesn't. He didn't know what surgery Ben had. But with the elbow, and that's pretty much what we're going with all along, and that's kind of leaked out a little bit. You know elbow, but not exactly the exact diagnosis I. I tend to stick with Dave on that, but here's the thing with. This question so say he's back. The pre season we typically only see Ben in One preseason game the last few years. Do you think that has to change in two thousand twenty, so say there's five games this year because the because of the hall of fame game, even though that may or may not occur. We don't know if that game happens. But say there's a slate. Excusing Games. How many games do you think Ben Rothlisberger needs this year? So I think when it comes to preseason, he'll only dial it up. Just a little bit more just based on kind of how everything's going. Maybe a quarter in the fourth preseason game and then a half in the V. just kind of based on what's going on. Obviously the other games. I think there's still a lot to be figured out when it comes at third quarterback so Paxton Lynch is someone I could see. The coaches is falling in love with because he's huge and has a cannon arm. He's basically everything that duck and so I think they're still competition. Be had a outside of Ben so they might want to just see what they have outside of that. And if he says hey had owned a play, it's not. Not like Mike Tomlin can be like. No, you have to play it. Ben is a lot of control the steam. He's GonNa. Play what he wants and what he feels. That's going to get him ready. The most but I could still just see him doing a little bit more just testing it out a little bit more I. Don't think I don't think he wants to miss any time again. Obviously, so he's GonNa do whatever it takes to probably limit anything that's going to affect a him being reinjured Obviously be more hits, and if depending on what the elbow surgery is again, it really kind of. What it Kinda comes down to is Kenny throw it fifty times a game, or can he throw it only twenty? It's something we're going to be Congress enough so I could see depending on what it is if it's like the Tommy John. I think he might want to get a little more reps in, but. It's Kinda hard to tell. So. Let's talk a little bit more about that. I kind of think that he needs about. At least two games in the preseason, if in fact, every year.

"Now. is going to have so many more weapons to throw to. We've already talked about the four wide receivers. will there be an odd man out with those four wide receivers. When you take into consideration, you have two very good pass catching tight ends thrown in there, too. If you think that is going to be an on man out there or do you think that? Like heck with the stats, let's just get everybody the open man, the opportunity and that's the way it's going to go, and no one's GonNa Really Light Up the stat sheet, but it's going to be more WS. You know it's interesting. I think. When I look at the Shit receiving, core and coaching staff is done in the past. I would love to say that they're gonNA risk cycle through everybody, but when it comes to specifically can looking at the running back side every year. It's like Oh this kind of set up to have like a core rotation. They never do it. There's always number one at connors going to get the ball until the wheels fall off and then maybe Snell, whoever comes up next that's that's just the way it seems to go and seems to be that way with every position, so I would love to say. That everyone's going to get the ball. Because I think that's more, the smart football way to do it, but. I, really think it end up being automatic out thing We saw Jane's Washington. Have more of a career step forward and kind of. Protection and blocking field. Could he take a step back? Just based on who comes in possibly, but I do think this team will take advantage of some their matchups, because they have such big wide receivers, tight end set like you mentioned. The are pass catching threats I kinda dream of seeing like a a diamond formation with Iran Vance and chase. That'd be insane. How are you going to cover that if you have? Those guys split out to the same side of the field. Teams aren't GonNa Three safeties out there. And if they are, you can take advantage of that in other ways, so I think the team has to be creative and use their guys because while spring them all in you. You have to use them all if I'm there. If I'm the OC of Ronnie feet near, I'm I'm doing whatever it takes to make sure everybody's. Everybody's getting their piece of the Pie, sums going to be bigger than others, but I think everyone needs to get that ball. I think this offense has a potential to be kind of a game-breaker because they have so many different options, and they have to use them. That's the only way this offense can be successful this year. Okay, Gut, check time Michael Back. Look into two thousand twenty one is Juju Smith Schuster among those four, the top four wide receivers on the Pittsburgh steelers in who are the top four. All right so I think I'm going to go. No I would love to say yes, but I think he won't be on the team. based on what I kind of mentioned earlier with that money side of things It's just going to be so hard. There's a lot of guys coming up. Cam obviously WANNA contract TJ gotta get paid the year after that Ben's numbers huge depre- James Connor I think. I think he'll, he'll come back just on like a really cheap deal. That will surprise some people. Vance's coming up. Just so many guys are coming up that it's Kinda hard to justify signing a wide receiver to a big ticket. Ticket especially when you have other guys there so I'm GonNa say no I think he might end up back on the West. Coast in his is California roots but I. Guess we'll see how that develops. As time goes long as for the four wide receivers, obviously, the three drafted in Deontay a Klay Pool at Washington. That four slot is going to be interesting I think the steelers continue that trend of taking someone in the second third, maybe fourth, but probably second third round I I think they'll just keep keep that trend live who that person is. I guess we're GONNA have to sit back and watch T. W. season but. I don't think that number. Four Guy Right now is on the roster yet. I think that someone that will see a hopefully. Not a Dante Moncrieff two point Oh. But something along those lines either a veteran which I doubt I think they'll just go back to the draft pool and Kinda. Keep keep doing what they have historically. Very good I i. do appreciate that you know as far as I'm concerned I think we need to throw a bed on this and I'm big on vets, not not huge bats, but. Maybe. Maybe something. Cool from Canada and something cool from the Berg I mean I could probably get you permanance out that way. have. You ever had any sandwich I mean it was the first thing I did when I got to Pittsburgh. Whenever, I like dreamed of visiting going no game being in Heinz field. It was you watch the rookie video. It's the first thing to do when they get to town. It's like it's what you gotta do. Like fries and slaw and a sandwich your Dang. Right of course. Taken that up, I think it went like three times a week whether the order. What was your saying oh? Goodness I can't remember what it was called. Something like Italian Deli or something like it was really good, so if you know if you go to the stadium, there's only two options at the stadium and cheese. And the the pits Burger which is Pittsburgh's more of like a steak patty. So it's it's definitely one of my one of my absolute favorites. In Hill. We got one about four or five years ago in Maryland. I was only getting them every time I wanted the stadium, so it was just an absolute joy. I made my whole family going. Wait two and a half hours on opening night. Just so I can get my first sandwich, but I will make per manny's bad I know they'll ship it. They will they will they ship it and dry ice and do that, so I'll do that, and then you can send me something cool from Canada if I'm right because I'm saying the two thousand twenty, one..

"College football football podcast. It says here in the script onto riff on what that means and basically what I mean is it's all spoiled. Every Tuesday we talk about everything from cooking disasters to pro wrestling too and fashionable pants worn middle school. We also do talk about college. Football every now and then like mascot fights announcers fleeing the booth. Early and unfashionable. Pants that coaches which is where now if you want to take college football exactly as seriously as it should be taken. Subscribe for free on Apple podcasts. or in your favorite podcast APP. That's it and he's good. He's good for forbidden. He's been guy but you know. I'm not an advocate and you guys have listened to me on this show in the past that you know. I'm not an advocate of throwing anyone under the bus and I'm definitely not on an advocate of throwing a very inexperienced player under the bus You Know I. I think that's not good business. I don't think you deal with it like that. You know your your status as coordinator is to get a guy ready. I mean that's what you have to do. You have to get a guy ready. Let me let me let me update. We got another Super China super chances starting to come in here and I wanna I wanNA comment on Snowman Snowman asks any any news on the injuries. Many listened to you as of today. Juju Smith Schuster was a full participant. Already Burns full mark Barron pouncey county to Castroville the way the McDonald Vance McDonald. TJ Watch Joe Haden Ramon Foster Nick Vanette. This is amazing that at this point in the season with three games remaining of course Sundays. Two Games afterwards. That everybody that all of these guys were full participants. I don't see anybody listed on the injury report as out or even questionable. So it's that's a fantastic news. It looks like a UH Juju Smith. Schuster is going to be back when he reached a paragraph from the article that while he may not be full strength. He's good enough to be not to be listening to Status Report Smith Schuster said he doesn't know what the plan is for him on Sunday but he'll do whatever coach Tomlin decides his quote was. I don't feel one hundred percent but I'm going to see what I can do. It depends on coach with coach. Says it's coming along. It's a process. The knee is kind of tricky. You don't really know your full go until you run at your full speed when you're getting getting tackled. Hopefully I'm able to go this week in play. I think at the end of the game when it comes down to me playing this weekend. It's a mental game. How strong can I tolerate the pain? It's a process. I can take slow. Hopefully I'm out there with my boys. So that's great news. I mean that's great news you know. That's even further evidence that the force is strong with Juju Smith Schuster and I'm sure ray touched his knee in gave some of her life force to Juju so he could come back. Let me jump into another live chat. I didn't I didn't miss one. But let me jump into my partner in crime. My Fellow Hater Grayson Brown. And thank you for the fourteen ninety nine. That's awesome. He said what cut lance every losses on the offense the offense is coordinated so poorly. If I play defense I would be mad. I'm tired of blaming players. Coaches coaches got a coach to win the. OC is terrible. I don't really disagree. I mean you know I thank you for that Rant Grayson. I don't disagree. I mean I think the problem you know. I think the problem is the coordinator largely and you know if I had to divvy it up you you know. I put eighty on the coordinator about twenty on a quarterback. I mean you have to figure out what you can do with Devlin. Doug Hodges you gotta get him prepared to play better football all acting Jeff. Hit It on the head And a couple of shows ago when we did the standard the standard when he said I think the game plan was to San Diego. Game The steady Eddie of game I think was the blueprint in how you play. Devon Hodges innate lead heavily on James Connor Net game when you look at James Connor Gibney amount on of touches that he did it against the bills. That's just. That's just not forgivable. In fact the James Connor was averaging five yards a carry but he only rushed maybe ten or twelve all times. I mean that's ridiculous. Maybe eleven because I think they have fifteen total. Russia's including Devon Hodges scrambles one or two and that's just unacceptable throwing it almost forty two times by forty two times. That's just unacceptable. That's not playing to win. That's playing blues and what also it says to me is. It ain't changing when Ben comes back regardless of whether the steelers have a dominant defense or not. It ain't changing. He's been coordinator and they're going to do what Ben wants to do. And that's slipping the ball all over the yard now if that makes if that means the steelers next year when being comes back get up and get leads in the Groin teams out the run game and it looks sorta like Bill Cower. esten great but I don't believe IT I. I don't believe I don't trust the with Bin. I don't trust that combination combination and I just don't think he's been aggressively conservative enough to get the most out of Devon Duck. Hodges I mean putting all those people who one outside of formation to run into I mean I mean that is absolutely ridiculously jump to Some of your questions fly high I. Ta a second. What I was saying about the injury report? Nobody is injured. I guess except Nicks but Nicks hasn't played for a while. I think Knicks is on injured. Reserve serve what up. Cain Atma said what you big dog. Mike o'malley said. Gee Alexander nail meet a hammer. I Guess S.. He's hammering the nail steeler fifty said exactly Lance Belichick coach dug up to win ballgames. I agree I I agree frank. Conner agree with me. Eighty twenty that most of its feet Nano Duck. I mean you can't blame Docu county point. You can't blame the Duck a young professional. That's like blaming twelve year. Olds that do what you say when you coach them you try to put it on you. Try to put it on. Twelve year olds in youth players. When the coke coke asked the coach's job to get them out to to get anything out of them only let me let me China and go down was try to find came said can you you tell me why every week mark Barron has a day off? I think that's get those days off for bumps and bruises. I think that's what it is. I think that's a way that they maintain ain't tank is bodies. They don't bang. They can get the Jim they can lift. Do recovery stuff. I think it's just protocol and how he tries to take care of. Tomlin is the he in trying to take care of Veterans Victory Asher love that name said the. OC should not have this kid throwing the ball all like that unless deck was duck was balling out of control from the get-go. You're absolutely right you. You can't do that Grayson chimed again. Why why the steelers abandoned run game when it was working on Sunday because they had every plan to throw the ball installing it around and make this duck hodges game when that made no sense hits whatsoever so I agree with you in gracing also said how can you win down the stretch? The offense keeps making mistakes. It's going to be very tough and that's one thing I want to talk about again. It's like I have every confidence that the steelers are gonNA turn it all over again against the jets but I'm just equally confident that the steelers will probably take the ball away more times than they give it away. Hey I'm Jason Delray. I recently wrapped up land of the giants the rise of Amazon. In this podcast we examine. How Jeff bezos turned a small online bookseller into one of the most powerful companies in the world? We start by exploring how Amazon prime became a service with over one hundred million members and the main source of the company's power. I mean I think that's kind of what Amazon's banking on right. You're just so locked in. You're going to go to any other sites. 'cause I mean don't and we end this season by pondering. The question is Amazon. Too Big you know and we just don't I WANNA be the United States of Amazon. We just really don't land of the giants has been recommended by the New York. Times axios wired and more. It's a candidate. Look at the state eight of Amazon. Today how we got here and what the future might look like the entire first season is out now find out more and binging on apple podcast. Ask or your favorite podcast APP. Just how good this team. The if they didn't turn the ball over. I mean they're turning the ball over at an alarming rate. They put the ball in harm's way nine times against the buffalo bills in only law. Seventeen seven Evan and gave up and lost five of those two turnovers can a play a clean game into captain underpants. Yes I think Juju can can't lift this offense because of what he will make defenses react to. I don't think you can cover the steelers the same way. Would you use mission stor. He can provide right some gravity in the offense to take away a safety in my opinion out of the box it take away double coverage from James Washington. I think you just put your best players out and you see what's going on Frank Crocker Aslam's are you nervous at this game could be a letdown. I am nervous. Tommy teams are known for losing the bad teams. There are bad teams. Go think about it this way frank. They're a bad team and I say that because they have the potential to lose to anybody nobody and anybody can lose anybody it. Yes but we know. This team is eight. This team is eight and six but this team plays from point differential orential margin of a team that is up five hundred when you average roughly nineteen and you give up like eighteen. You're you're pretty much a bad team. The only thing that that says you aren't a bad team is your defense in your record but to record is the thing that matters. I think they know the fragility of this team in of themselves. So I don't think there is no letdown. They know that they can lose every game because of two things ready feeder endeavoring conscious. I don't think they going to games thinking they are better than anybody I think they are singly. Focussed in day no that they are playing with a very small margin for air. Let me jump into a couple of more questions before our go head in. Keep this one short and sweet in the show and I WANNA thank everybody. Tiffany for the for the Super Chat Contributions Man Grayson. Thank you for that that that is that is really appreciated but even more than a super track big up to Chris Edwards in the UK to force is strong with him my guy from the UK given us pounds two dollars towns. I think I'm going to do the burning question pretty early tomorrow. So make sure you guys check that out I want to jump into a question here snowman. How many saxons dealers get on Sunday? I'm going to go with four. I'M GONNA go with four sacks yes right big up for the UK. Chris Edwards thirty going to Grayson question. we've talked about that Has Got Juju can improve the offense he gives you another playmaker. I think you have. I think your coverage is has to change with Juju and I don't think you can double the takeaway James Washington Washington I'm not sure the position coaching sucks the Murray. Because defensively they don't suck defense. Play Lights Out I think the office of line is struggling. But I don't know if that's all on coaching. I think that some of the in part of playing with rookie skill positions. You Got Rookie linebackers Yes using rookie running backs you got very young wide receivers and I I think that really has impacted the offense but oh definitely Cathy said iota. That's right IOTA is right here. I got the green light. Saber may the force be with all of the people in the super chat or the live chat may the force be with Devlin. Doug's on all these products today. May the force be with master. Yoda in all of the elder all of the Djeddai. Excuse me the jet. I order big up..

"I'm not necessarily convinced that juju Smith Schuster is a number one wide receiver. I'm not overly convinced that defensive coordinators are scared of juju Smith Schuster. I'm not overly convinced that what Steeler fans and what we saw in the last game against Cincinnati. May not be what we see next year. I just think when I look at this roster and even more so than a safety deposition and outside linebacker position because I think those are debt issues, I think the guys that started nose positions are fairly solid. Particularly what I just look at these names. And I go Moncrieff Washington, Switzer's Rogers. Oh, no. Oh, no. Where's the explosiveness? What makes a defensive coordinator, you know, restless on night. I mean, I think I can I can guard those guys pretty much straight up the guy. I don't think I'm scared of any of those guys I think I can put extra rushers it's a defensive packages to get after big been. I think I hold up on the back end one on one. I don't I don't feel like have to drop to safeties. You know, I feel like I can put a safety in the box and really get after this running game really make the running game succeed against a head box or more defenders there because I just don't think there's a guy that beats me including juju in any of the mix. None of this makes me a frayed or scared. What I'm looking at the Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm thinking I can handle those guys. So I would agree with ESPN and other places and other news sources in sports sources that say that the biggest hole on this roster is the wide receiver position. They don't have a star back there. I like stars. I like stars. And I liked that the attention that stars give you that enable other guys to eat and right now, can we save that ju ju is good enough to set? The menu is set the table. For Moncrieff, Roger Switzer, Washington out. Now is juju good enough to enable those guys to eat like that guy in Oakland was I don't think so. Really don't think. So I will be very surprised at what it looks like just on paper and looking at it. And again when you look at the absence of production, minus fifty six receptions, minus six hundred twenty nine yards and minus twelve TD's. And when you look at those guys and Moncrieff Washington, Switzer's Rogers aloe hundred receptions, five touchdowns. I don't know. It doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy it makes me feel like. Desk can't had makes me feel like, but with that we're going to conclude the program and as always tune in. Tele- friend. And subscribe.

Dude, you what's your strategy when eating pizza? Do you eat the crust, or do you judge people that don't you can't trust anybody because? Got the cash somebody who don't eat the crust the crust, and you gotta have ranch and all the other sides that ran a sneaky played in ram. Branch or dipping the crust into the ranch. Yeah. All that. I'm a big ranch guy. Not just the crust. Got you can go to even first bite. You can go into the real question is you choose pepperoni cheese. You have to choose between them. Yeah. If you had to pick one or the other. Everyone around. No, I'm actually old school, man. What are you talking? Owning. Yeah. Go for. On the poll. Please your pizza must have have cheese or pepperoni. I think juju is going to be in the minority. What do we think about hot sauce on pizza? I mean, I don't know a lot. Even Pizza Hut. I thought I care about. How about pineapples on as long as it Pizza Hut? Apple apple ham. You good with that combo. With that pizza. It's got sneaky good thin crust too. That is very true. That is true. Is there anything that's on a pizza that juju? Smith Schuster, simply will not abide like you'll look at somebody. You'll judge them. You'll say that's disgusting. Mean not necessarily unless you. Yeah. Not necessarily. I feel like we've run out of pizza material with you should I go back to the Tony Brown and lady on bell stuff. We test them out a little bit more. All right. Maybe about. Maybe we should talk more about the eyelids. What is the the time? Do you remember anything where all of you got together in the locker room afterward? And we're like man Tomlin said that thing and that that was crazy what he just said. Really a timer code. We went a lot, and we talked about coastal almonds, you know, speech or anything that he said on a personal line. It was just more. So the, you know, let's just keep stuff off, you know, keep track in the locker room off media all social media, obviously that that's that doesn't work out. You know, it's hard nowadays. You know, what people say we'll be either instantly doodoo, you're famous for being a big time gamer what's the game that you're playing right now red dead, redemption? Is that what you're on you still important night? I'm a little bit of everything more so-called duty. Just just because I always been a call of duty guys beginning since I was a kid and do. Yeah. What's the most amount of hours you've ever spent playing a video game in one sitting? Man. I'll do a like twelve to fourteen hours one time. I was in the I was in high school, and I played non Dan really, go out partying anything hang out with friends. It was like Bill games with my life has Pro Bowl receiver juju Smith Schuster recently like in the past few months found himself arguing over a headset while playing call of duty with like a twelve year old kid because it's something that happened in the game. I did in high school and those days nowadays when I played video games, people are more. So like going crazy like bands because they noticed my username and all always acting questions and stuff like that. And I always posting do you want to have this wrong? Did you go out for Halloween as juju Smith Schuster? Yes, I did..

Is it possible for the Rockets to beat the Warriors?

"Want to buy. Aids. Is it possible? The rockets could get it together by the Western Conference fund where they're better than they were last year. Is that possible? I don't think so it's not possible. I don't think so I think that's poss- adult at the sixty five wins as good as they looked last year. I don't think it's possible for most teams to be better than they look lashes out. But what I mean is actually better like the the warriors one seventy three games. Yeah. And then they got better because they added the rent their regular season record wasn't as good. But in the moment of truth, they were clearly the best team. And of course, they should be big favorites. Again, the way they've been looking recently. And the talent we know they have my point is if you believe it's possible for the rockets to actually in the moment of truth now that they have the experience of last year be better than they were last year. They only need to be that much better by the snow. You don't think the lawyers? Got you go, Molly, I'm trying to make. It's just interesting doing down that ladder. They had no man that tell C P three got hurt. I just. Very very very clear. My reservations for Oakland have already been made. There is no there's no issue. Here is your I will be in Oakland at oracle ju- where where are you going to be on the east coast with us? I'm hoping I'm hoping today Milwaukee. But only for you know, I may wanna socialite that's all your team because a lot of drama goes another day in more support coming out for Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown. This time for fellow wideout juju Smith Schuster crazy stuff about AB. You gotta fill in a law firm. If you come back, you guys welcome. And they man he may he's guy. Yeah. Well, I wonder what his teammates feel about this tweet from AB who usually says businesses Bowman and right now, Stephen he's open for business. It'd be over for whatever you want still is Abbas right to say other so exc- he could be open to whatever he wants. I don't give a damn about Antonio Brown's feelings right now I wanted to stay with this. These that great. And really, by the way, I'm not telling you anything. I haven't told him. Yeah. If a damn by his feelings, I want him on a steel course. I don't want to Steelers to trade this, man. He's great. He's too. Great figuring it out. I'll give it there. You gotta give them a massage pedicure. You gotta take them. You gotta have sports therapy sessions with you gotta go play with his cage got treated to dinner for the next day. What you gotta do. Now. I will say this. I want him to apologize to Mike Tomlin to for pudding that coach in that position. But particularly considering the paucity of African American coaches, so only two and NFL it'd be three by the time. New England wins the Super Bowl, I guess unless they lose the bottom line is is that I don't like the position. He put my Tomlin. And that's about it outside of that. He doesn't want get Tomlin put him. That's fair. That's fair. Let's get over it and figure that I or Rooney is saying I don't see how you can be on the team next year. Yeah. And all the press all the chirping out of the Steelers negative towards the future with Antonio round. Like, we don't we don't see it, basically. Now, all of the sudden juju Smith Schuster, though, watching his body language and his and hey, Derek Carr. Yeah. I'm I'm inferring. What I see? That's true. I didn't seem to me like it was in juju Smith, Schuster heart. But you can't know another Mantar all you can do is inferred from what you see. Didn't I don't know? If he if those words that are coming out of his mouth reflect the way, he's feeling, but I'll let me read between the lines a little bit. It seems to me Stephen A that at the point that they were saying all that stuff. They were probably thinking we are going to try to trade him. And probably I imagine started to kick the tires on some trade ideas like one could they get back for him. And I think what I read this. As is. Maybe what's happening here is they're not liking what they're hearing in terms of the return on moving Antonio Brown. And that they're better off with him. That's my sense. If they don't if that is true, then the Steelers would have everything to do with that. Because how do you want to trade such as surreal asset and command top dollar a top cash eighth for him? When in fact, you've served a role in excoriating, correct? So what you do don't they say this is what happened with Kyrie? Right. When the whole world. Knows he's outta there. Or you're gonna get the best offer. The worst offer at the worst offer you have to make people believe that he's going to stay whether that's because you don't get the offer you want. It's going to snake or to make people believe it. So they come with a better offer before we move onto LeBron. I just have to say this quick. I don't think I ever gave you props on this. When lady on bell was sitting going to sit out. And I was like there's no way he sits out. You're like, no he's probably going to sit out and he sat out the entire season. I think you're the only person that actually believed that he would do that. When we think he could do if you wanted the gold at the end of the grandma never would his type talent on that team. But happened LeBron James on this is fifteen straight game with the Lakers take on the Timberwolves tonight. But he hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the sons, according to coach Luke Walton when he was injured on Christmas day the Lakers weren't fourth place in the west since they injury, Los Angeles five and nine they've dropped to ninth plates in the west, Stephen A. How bad is what bronze injury for the Lakers of worry. I was told not to be worry if LeBron James Levy reading. Needed to he could go out the plate, and he would be ready, but I find this to be the most significant injury of his career I'm incredibly concerned because I want the Lakers to get a big time free agent. I want them to make some noise in the summertime, and I think that obviously when you took thirty four years of age, they are going to be people who are going to question your ability, even the great LeBron James almost never hurt. So the fact that he's outright. Now, you have to wonder whether or not a potential free agent is going to look at that. And question how much time does he have left at this level? That's when I'm not saying there's any legitimacy to that. I'm simply saying that that's a reasonable cause for concern. And so the bright lights LA Tinseltown palm tree. So the California weather notwithstanding. You'd never know what some marquee free agent is going to look at when it comes to Magic Johnson. Lincoln picking up the phone to call them and say come on L A what I man the Bron. When in fact, they're wondering about LeBron. More. I look at this more. I think Jerry's going to be a Laker. Yeah. Because I started to run down the scenarios if it's not a Y, and it doesn't look like it'll be why I wouldn't put anything past magic he landed. Lebron after all if it's not going to be K D or someone like that if Kemba Walker in fact wants to stay where he is. And they work that out if Mike Conley is not the answer in a trade. And if the Celtics don't wanna give Kyrie a supermax like why would we want to stay in Boston, not only that they're extremely talented coach the whole thing, but he'd get a supermax deal. Then I think kyri and LeBron could come around in their own minds to seeing a reconciliation as hey, what if Kobe and shack worked it out what if they parted ways? But then they said, you know, what we messed this up. Let's work this out and that eventually the Lakers would be Kyrie's team that's got to be very appealing. We know kyri has relationship with Kobe. And could you imagine if the Lakers didn't have to give up any assets at this trade deadline, if they kept Ingram and Kuzina and. An and heart and all these guys and simply added KYW read or run Bill that happens where are they in the west for ten Kyrie's there right now with LeBron and LeBron's healthy. And assuming Ingraham continues to improve and mom gets a little better share, maybe one more acquisition the right acquisition. Lakers can win the chip next year. If kyri is there, you do not need Lonzo ball. They're correct. And that means you might get something for Lonzo. Then you might not need Brandon Ingram either. Say that happening playing with LeBron listen, I'm told that is far fetched kyri is happy and Boston. He has no intentions of leaving. But Kenny had ever go around not shutting. I don't have to pretend I'm not sharing anything anything's together. Anything is they get back together for now. Sure about that. Thanks. Mitch listening to the podcast gets. Ben Roethlisberger is 'clearly a part of the problem'

"Next. Next team president art Rooney. The second said Wednesday that talks have started between the Steelers and Ben Rothlisberger on a contract extension. Big Ben who turns thirty seven in March has one year remaining on his current deal. And let's keep in mind. There's been a lot of drama and Pittsburgh fellas and Tonio Brown apparently wants out lay beyond bells that out the entire season. Not to mention that Big Ben has been going back and forth on retirement these past couple of seasons. Tedy Bruschi still here with us joining us from the Pro Bowl and Orlando I teddy. There you are. We got you got you and all your friends in the background is big and more of a problem or a solution because this franchise feels like a mess right now. Because both he's he's definitely a part of the problem because they no other men in which he's handled things. I mean, again, you know, you you've got numerous players. You've got numerous NFL aficionados that have religiously called out Big Ben for saying things in throwing people under the bubble in the fashion of the quarterbacks. Don't this is not me talking. This is basically reporting what they've said as max is done as many others. If you watch Big Ben you talking about juju Smith Schuster. We should have thrown the ball of him every time you say something like that. You've got to know you've been around Antonio Brown long enough to know, how those kind of things would affect him along with various other things in other positions that he has taken that. We don't have time to get into in the end when it comes down to is that has made him a part of the problem because Big Ben is live by different set of rules. He's a bit flagrant with it. And I don't give a. AM who you are anytime you receive preferential treatment that you are you are playing by different set of rules as everybody else you are going to rub people the wrong way, especially when you consider the individual who abuses, the privilege. That's the bottom line. Having said all of that. When you look at Big, Ben he's also a part of the solution because nobody's perfect everybody makes mistakes. And if you're willing to man up in knowledge that you could have done better in certain respects. I think that would go a long way, I think the thing that the Tonio Browns of the world and others that are incredibly frustrating is not that big been mixed the mistakes, they made is that he doesn't necessarily he isn't necessarily deemed as an individual that learns from apologized showed the pope level of contrition and move forward without making sure not to repeat those mistakes again throughout the years. You've seen a pattern of behavior that has been consistent with him in that he has gotten away with it. If you listened to those NFL players Antonio Brown is one of those NFL player. Here's somebody that has said that. And as a result, you a big band you want to alleviate this situation you speak up. You recognize us where you're at fault. And I think if he did that that would go along way. So he's both a problem and a problem solver in all of this because he's right in the middle of everything as the stock quarterback of the team who obviously has is outspoken, Saddam. Well, we agree and disagree because I think he is part of the problem the solution. But for very different reasons part of the problem because Ben Rothlisberger is like a rich man's Eli manning. He is too good for your team. Just to stink almost no matter. What's going on? Right. You're good. A win some games. Maybe make the usually make the playoffs. So how do you get his successor? There's no succession, I just talked about how you know, unless you're Bill Belichick level. And it's not so easy to find a quarterback when you're not drafting up high. You know, it's more of a crap shoot. They don't have the person there that they feel can take the reins of the team if they're truly grooming. It doesn't seem to me on the other end. Therefore at the moment. He reads a lot of power because when you don't have that. But you do have a talented team. And you have a quarterback who's shown he can still play at a very high level, and we're in an era. That's right teddy in an era where older quarterbacks are clearly protected in ways. They've never been you look the level. Tom Brady is still playing at forty one. Drew Brees at forty then rothlisburger at thirty seven that that they realize, oh, wait a minute as beat up as he's been as much as he talked about retirement. He's still maybe has some years of football left in him. We don't have as backup. So he wields probably too much influence and he seems to at times publicly throw players under teammates under the bus. He's a problem because he's too good to get that next quarterback with the draft pick. He's your solution to the extent that you're good because he's a really good quarterback. And if you ain't got that, you ain't got anything. I'm with both you here because Big Ben has been a problem, and he can be a part of the solution. But this is what's happening here as you're talking about max. The quarterbacks in this league getting older and older and still being able to play past forty. What's happening is a generational gap. A generational gap between the quarterback and all of the younger skilled players and all of the younger players on defense that are ended up being a part of this team and the ability to relate. So they're almost these kids are coming in plan. I mean rothlisburger will have players coming in make sure that have had his poster on the wall or something like that that group as fans, and so how does that quarterback that aging quarterback you mentioned breeze Brady and rothlisburger? How was he able to relate to them and make them feel like still an equal? And as one of his teammates, this is where Ben Rothlisberger has failed has he failed. Also and other aspects where Stephen as talking about what he's calling out teammates where he's got no business when he should have when he's the one making bad plays. Also. Yes, I agree with that. But he needs to learn to start to relate to these younger generation of players because he will continue to get older, and that gap is. Real and you'll see players life Brees. How he still it seems like medicine Brady and breathes? They're old. Okay. How do they still have these close bonds with these young players that come into their teams and their teammates talking about them like they're best? How does that happen? There's something. Character wise that breeze and Brady has right now that Rothlisberger is lacking. I need your help with something here. Because here's what you lost. You talked about him relating to the other players, and I don't disagree with that teddy. The problem is it eight the younger players complaining about him and Tonio Brown is thirty years old. He's been big big Big Ben Rothlisberger his teammate for almost the past decade. And so this is I'm not saying that, you know, the he's thirty seven thirty thirty seven like Big Ben is, but he ain't twenty eight twenty one like did you Smith Schuster? The man is thirty the last six seasons. He's had a minimum of one hundred one receptors a minimum of twelve hundred and eighty seven. Yard. He's produced. Poor Big Ben he's been a primary target for Big, Ben. And yet that's where the problem seems to lie at this particular moment in time. So how do you explain that? And I'll put it up put it simply then because I agree with you there. It's a feeling that I've had with the quarterback that I played with and a lot of the saints and a lot of these older players on these teams that are mentioning they have the overwhelming thought in their mind that my quarterbacks got my back. No matter what that's what I think's not there in Pittsburgh. It seemed like it seems like if something happens the quarterback isn't there to either bail you out off the field the Bill you out on? That's what it is. I don't know if they feel the same way some of these saints and other players that this quarterback. He's got my

Antonio Brown refused to practice in Week 17 after heated dispute with Ben Roethlisberger

"Internal rift in at first I thought what could make Brown so mad like what could have happened and you re morning allegedly there. There was the situation in practice where missed the hot route and been said he wanted to run it again, and he just lost it. What is going on with Antonio Brown? Round got upset this. According to Jeremy is reporting that rob Berger wanted to run a hot read over again during a walk-through so coaches sent another player into run the play a source close to the situation told Adam Schefter Brown got upset left. Practice and talked with rothlisburger afterward telling the quarterback that he felt underappreciated and had issues with people in the organization Emmett the Steelers locker room dating all the way back to a couple of years ago and the Facebook live incident with. Yeah. Forgot about that. You've got the lady on bell situation. Then you've got weird blow ups and just the dynamic within that team for his talented is they were to not make the playoffs. It just seems like a really toxic place to be right. It sounds like everybody's getting tired of each other. Like they've just been around each other for too long in the the Antonio Brown feeling under appreciated. What do you need to fill? Appreciate money back. Like, he's looked at his arguably the best receiver in the NFL. And I'm sure his teammates and his quarterback in his coach and everybody in the organization agrees with that statement. So what else do you need baby doesn't like the fact that juju Smith Schuster and and James Connor some of the other players on the offense. "Juju. Smith Schuster is a guy who last week before the game sad big week coming up. I know it's fantasy football championship week. I'll do my best and all that stuff. Well, if you're watching the Steelers game the other day, it looked like after the saints took the lead late. He was on top of the Tacna underneath him. And they pulled the ball out fumble saints get the ball game ends juju Smith Schuster tweeted when I'm at my lowest. I'm not going to hide I'm sorry. Oakland Raiders ponder an issue of respect for respective quarterbacks

"You're listening to the spoken edition of the San Francisco Chronicle. Oakland Raiders pondering issue of respect for respective quarterbacks by an Killian in the third quarter of Sunday Steelers raiders game. There was a sequence that seemed to reinforce everything that Oakland fans believed the league thinks about the two franchises going all the way back to the immaculate reception in nineteen seventy two the Steelers get the breaks the raiders never do on third in nineteen from the twenty two. Derek Carr went back to pass. But the ball slipped out of his hand. It looked many like an incomplete pass. But was ruled a fumble recovered by Pittsburgh. I thought for sure I was throwing it car said it just slipped out of my hand as I was throwing it. I didn't get hit. So I knew for sure that it just slipped out as obvious trying to throw it going forward car tried to get clarification from the officials in those intense situations, they think you're trying to come at them. And they're like, it's confirmed already car said. You don't get to converse about it four plays later Pittsburgh quarterback. Joshua Dobbs did almost the exact same thing. But it was ruled an incompletion Jon Gruden challenge. The ruling, but it was upheld. He had some guys reviewing it in New York. The raiders head coach said when asked about what happened how the hell would. I know. I can't even see the guy we have some guys ruling the game in making these decisions that you can't even have a conversation with I am not going to get fined or anything like that. But personally, I don't like the process of it. We have guys that riphil. She aiding the game we have eight officials guys in the box. I would appreciate if we had a face to face conversation. They didn't gruden's challenge was overruled as was a previous challenge. Also in the third quarter when Gruden thought that Pittsburgh receiver juju Smith Schuster stepped out of bounds. I saw the official throw his hat Gruden said that is the mechanics of a man stepping out of bounds. So we challenge. It. I'm not very good at the challenge process. I'm going to try to stay in a good mood tonight, regardless the process left Gruden with just one time out and no more challenges which could have come back to bite him. It didn't. But the process left. The raiders frustrated is in Oakland quarterback not as respected as a Pittsburgh quarterback. And let's not even wonder what would happen. If the football had oddly slipped out of say, Tom Brady's hand way. We already now.

Stephen A.: 'I'm embarrassed by what I'm seeing from the Pittsburgh Steelers

"Me let me to just a little bit allow me to express to you the alarming level of frustration that I on questionably feel at this particular moment in time. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am. That the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up losing this game. I can't even put it into words. Ben Rothlisberger four hundred sixty two yards passing wasted. James connor. He's no Le vian bell. Juju Smith Schuster, thirteen receptions, one hundred and eighty nine yards wasted. For two reasons above all else. Big Ben Rothlisberger leading the league in red zone interceptions. Do another one yesterday was Shelby Harrison defensive lineman getting blocked in the coverage. And ultimately Ben Rothlisberger throwing the ball right to. Now. We can make the argument that it's the freakish interception that Ben Rothlisberger may have ever thrown as he so eloquent it in the aftermath of their twenty four to seventeen loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday. Denver Broncos team. That's now beating the charges in the Steelers in back to back weeks, by the way, we could go that route. All we can state the obvious. If you watched it throw, ladies and gentlemen, it was an interception. No matter what. Whether it was Shelby, all whether it was Roe. I'm sorry. Shelby. Harris. Oh, whether it was Roby who had. Antonio Brown completely covered. I don't know what the hell big. Ben Rothlisberger was thinking throwing that pass made absolutely positively no sense. Whatever you can point to that specific interception. But it was going to get into septic. It was going to get into septic. There is no doubt about that. There's absolutely positively. No doubt about that. Yet despite case keenum only one hundred ninety seven yards. Despite the fact that Denver didn't have the most formidable run a game to speak of. They still ended up winning the game. I mean Lindsay did have one hundred ten yards on fourteen carries. That's almost eight yards per carry. I got it. But the real culprit and all of this was bent. It was turnovers from Connor. It was a drop touchdown pass from Washington. I mean, I'm just looking around right now at the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I can't even express. The level of my frustration. Because you see regardless of how. But thank Pittsburgh secondary looked earlier in the season. They had got things together. They were looking a little bit better. But now, I'm of the monster. They lost that game yesterday. And I said, dammit, they just lost a trip to the AFC championship game. Now. Now, I'm not saying that laser gentlemen, mama's saying that it's a very simple explanation. And you know, what that explanation is? It's the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers now dropped to what is it a fourth seed. Or at least a three seed in the AFC that means Kansas City and New England both ahead of you. That means to get to the AFC championship game. You're going to have to be one of the other one a row, and I don't think they're going to do that. Now had the Steelers and all likelihood possibly fighting for birth to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead stadium against the kids City Chiefs. You know, what if you had home games prior to that one could stand the believe who knows what kind of upset could transpire maybe I'll get lucky. Now, it's no way in hell.

"Steeler nation does out. And so was the over in play last night. We'll watch the beginning of this game. We had three touchdowns in twenty four seconds three touchdowns in a span of twenty four seconds. The panthers. I touched down to the game. Followed up by juju. Smith Schuster seventy five yard touchdown one. Dr one play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Followed up by Cam Newton pick six to put the Steelers up fourteen seven. The Steelers also scored two touchdowns as ban of twenty four seconds later in the game seven touchdowns by seven different players for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And it was that kind of night. It was the start of the game that was really emblematic of both teams. And you thought we would get the strength of both teams to begin with the Panthers opened up their opening drive spread out. Lots of Christian McCaffrey breaking off big runs. The Steelers defense looked noticeably frustrated as they're getting some of these read option looks, but they can't seem to defend in Carolina goes down scores with relative ease. And we thought all right. We're gonna have a ball game. The Steelers on the other side come back instant offense. Exactly who this team is that seventy five yard touchdown pass to juju. Smith Schuster long touchdown passes to end Tonio Brown later in that game. These are all things that are expected in this Pittsburgh offense

"Why? If you're the newer jets, aren't you trying to come to some agreement in some kind of middle ground with Sam Donald on this because that means every other contract that comes to be, you have to come to every other every other contract, but Sam Donald doesn't play every other position he plays the quarterback which is premium change in any way. Now you're seeing more guarantees. And one of the few teams though that have this language in their contract, and this is this happened, Jill votes with the with the chargers chargers as an organization in the NFL our they regard. They're actually picked to win the AFC how the organization regarded around the national football. Everybody says that the charges are one of the worst organizations and football in terms of how they deal with contracts, how they relate to their players. So I don't think the charges are the model for what you wanna do. If you're the New York Jets, this all aside week one who's the starting quarterback for the jets, I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because the jets have three games in ten days. They've got a Monday night game Sunday night game in Thursday night on the road in Cleveland. I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because I think that's a lot for a rookie quarterback to digest. But I think that we'll see Sam Donald sooner rather than later. I think the last time we saw first round draft pick not play at the quarterback position is what he sees and was Aaron Rodgers back in two thousand five. You don't think Josh mccown. Listen, I love Josh mccown, but I think we saw the best of Josh mccown was last year being five and eleven journeyman quarterback for we all agree on that. But teddy Bridgewater we don't know how healthy he is. I mean, three games in ten days is a lot. You almost feel like you throw Josh mccown to the bulls. Let him take a beating then Bridgewater and then eventually late in the season. You get Donald up and going get what you're saying. But Todd Bowles has got to win more than five. Your. Chris, we're making stick around even long. Could Dez Bryant teaming up with Antonio Brown and Pittsburgh AB. Sure. Hope. So that's next on first things. First. Back here with Chris Canty and we are talking Dez Bryant a few days into most NFL training camps. And Brian is still not on a roster while the Browns and Bryant reportedly have mutual interests. Steelers wide receiver. Antonio Brown took to Twitter to recruit Dez. Brown tweeted, come play with me, does Bryant. Let's get the chip, eat greedy, big plates, see better option for Dez Steelers, Browns would go Steelers just because it would seem like if you add to that Brown's receiving group with Josh Gordon Jarvis Landry seems like that would be a combustible mix. So I think I would air on the side of going with a team that's more veteran ball club. They've got a veteran, quarterback, fetch skill position players. They're not going to be relying on this to be a number one or number two option for that matter because they got juju Smith Schuster. So I look at the Steelers situation, say what that probably fits Dez a little bit more than the Cleveland Browns. And plus we know that Ben Rothlisberger. Has been known to pay backyard football a little bit. Being able to add live run the scramble drill pretty much better than anybody in the NFL. I think Dez Bryant would fit that style more so than the Cleveland Browns and what Hugh Jackson wants to do with that offense. I get where you're going and where you come in from. But I think that das- wants to have a great year wherever he goes. He only wants a one year deal, so he wants to put up some type of numbers. So next offseason he can get a big contract in Pittsburgh. I mean, obviously got Antonio Brown. You got juju Smith soocer levian Bill catches a lot of balls like he got one hundred and thirty two targets lash..
