"That was totally not even playing. Before cash. That's how much I love these things. Will we want to have you on grit week because we read your blog to the gritty undrafted NFL players, and we thought it was awesome and we thought what's the perfect guy to have on for? Grit Week is a guy who. The Guy who has to find a way to make the roster, not the first round draft pick the gritty guys to fill out a roster. The guys that don't get. Claim as some of the. Glory boys out there, so that's right. You're the perfect guy. Let's start with actually. Can we just kind of go through some parts in your blog? Because I thought the best part? was you gave tips to guys like? How can you be greedy and make an NFL team? Yeah, let's start there. Okay? Shut the fuck up. Lay Low was the first tip what? What is it like when you first go into locker room in the NFL and you're thinking like Oh, I played in Nebraska I played some big time football, and then Bam holy Shit. This is a different different world. Yeah, I mean you're nervous. Shit like you're walking in a locker room with grown men. You're not in college anymore. No one really knows what the fuck you are, and no one like over the years you see rookies. Come in, you, see guys dwell you see guys do poorly in camp and no one likes when rookies come in with some type of. Running their mouth at all talking too much. A saying I always heard shutout, Sean Lavalle. He was like the I say it's. Don't speak unless spoken to rookies at at the table Jason Hatcher. Who came to the who came to the football state? He would, he would tell rookie say, don't speak unless spoken to no one. Was that your rookie? Heap your head down work. So that was kind of the first thing because for myself riding a blog podcasts now obviously on social media lot. I put in there. I love the focus circle jerk as much as the next guy. I Love Joking I. Love Talking a lot of Shit I love having a great time, but when you're rookie going in, don't don't follow suit of all the social media you've been doing. Don't follow suit of everything you see around you don't follow a veteran. You gotTA fucking. Put your head down. Shut the fuck up and you're there to make a football team. To where where does the line get drawn? Because I know a lot of players come in especially if they're a high pick, you undrafted, but if there a high pick they come in. They've got some pride right they've got. Like almost like a small sense of entitlement, sometimes especially if they're a high first round pick, where does that line get drawn between like? Hey, you can stand up for yourself. You have to respect me as a human being and I'm a rookie I'm going to shut up and do whatever the fuck you asked me to do and keep my mouth shut. Yeah I mean it never gets. It never really gets that disrespectful. It's of just assume that you understand if you don't as you guys know. Sitting around a table with all the boys like somebody gets shirt and jokes on, and usually guys are able to take jokes well but. You're somebody who has like say for instance you on a rookie show for a rookie skit, and you're like what you're signing bonus and somebody's like you know a million dollars. Everybody just starts going crazy. Oh, Shit! He's a pay guy. Volleyball like veterans don't don't care. How much like a rookie comes in because the guy who's like a high round draft? Pick like you still got to prove yourself and I love. Those guys understand that like we actually just AJ Brown on. It actually seemed like an awful rookie by the way Arthur. Wan Your shitty rookie. But. Apparently, he was like a non not gonNA take no shit like he's somebody that Kinda like when against the grain? I WANNA say. Dez Bryant might have been. Saying, I'm not to carry pads around and do this and that, but it's just kind of like the fraternity of entering in the NFL last year, when I was on the saints, this rookie rookie scared, and if you suck in rookie skits, and you don't have anything to perform or make fun of or do a presentation, they usually make you get up and sing in this one. This one rookie was actually undrafted cat. It was tough to watch I. Just watching basically crash and burn right there. He was gone. And he didn't WANNA, get. Kinda the whole prideful thing like you know. I'm not going to be disrespected. Blah Blah Blah and the Mario Davis stood up, and this is only on that saints for like ten days and the moral Davis stood up in kind of went off about how close that saints were to Super Bowl and how it came down east start asking guys, hey, how many plays away where we go to the Super Bowl Hey. How many obviously that one play that everybody knows about? And he's like it's not about yourself like you're in this room you're in. You're in a union environment of eighteen like Cameron. Jordan spoke up in the back and you. Kinda just felt that like dude. The team police themselves. To Mario Very well-spoken cat, a lot of respect for the Mario, and he's explained to this rookie light. Hey, you gotta get outside yourself and I don't care what what the people take you to do. Like your rookie. You're doing it because you're on for the second team. Joan individual self like yeah. You're going to get laughed at and people are GonNa Watch paper. Throw it up at you and blue you off, and it's just part of it like you're getting like initiated. You're part of the you're part of the fraternity like everyone's taking you and outside of that. Just part of the game. We're doing this for the for the team. Not during the self, so that was. That's where I guess I would explain a line being drawn because that she does happen. Guys get a little guys. Get a little defensive prideful about having to do. Something is something as small as like singing the song but. But you know when leadership stands up to speaks like somebody like the Morio Jordan you got all those guys kind of standard up speaking to you, everybody shuts up and listen. What was your skit that you did? I make fun of all the coaches so I I. I would sit in the back room and I would take mannerisms. And stuff that my linebacker coach do like his one liners and I can I would mock him with a clicker with a laser pointer at how we watch film I would make fun I made fun of The D. Coordinator about how he presents film, and so I, kind of just did a bunch of different coaches, and then I had guys Kinda at reenact like what they actually did. They a dumb answer, and how I would respond to them, whether it's somebody like London, Fletcher, compared to its somebody had the same answer if they were a rookie and how I would shit on the rookie, but but be like all makes a lot of sense on dynamics, a lot of sense and I also did it on the titans I made. Fun of by had a great skit with rebel..

You're causing tested and Redo that for about two weeks hopefully in NC, we get something to stir up so i. hope you have a season amount. You obviously like sports pretty much. One of the reasons why you know a lot of a lot of people live. Yeah go insane when there's no sports on. We barely made it through the last four months. It was like tooth and nail to get through as like a veteran as an establish guy, and your team is a part of you kind of excited. You're like hey. I only have to do like nine practices this preseason, and maybe half of those are just. Wearing shells and shorts almost definitely you know I think my rookie year death and the Guy I was pricey everyday. Scouts offense scout team. You know pretty much doing everything I can buy as a bit. Of practice in you know my playing. You know working with him on this off season is. Pretty much back to where he's at you know one hundred percents as you guys know. He lost some weight. And that's probably the better for for him. The better for our team, so I'm super excited what he was table. You know like I, said he he'll all be big. Ben to spence the. NFL's more fun with Ben in it had when he's in the huddle. As a kid you know I grew up watching it and doing that and then. Fast fast, four or five years later on in the same huddle as him, and he's you know he's talking to me and I was like this is what it feels like but it's it's fun then like Ian Huddle you don't WanNa leave. Let nobody down so it's all about you know your teammates yet, we're. was there a like adjustment period learning how to play with him at quarterback? Because a lot of times, you'll run your route and then Ben will somehow have like two defensive ends on his shoulder pads like. Cat Ran on the field like bit his leg, and he's dragging that around got another guy around his waist, but he's still like extending that play and looking for you downfield like we're. There are some times when you cut off route and you go. He's sacked right now. Oh, Shit! He's still up. Yeah man with. Ben. You just never know what's going to happen. It's hard to back him. You know all this is and that's something that. You know in crisis. We do a lot of scramble jobs or out of jobs. You know you pretty much. Are Running. You know, let and right, and I would say half of my plays. That I've made. The season is obviously be. Broken place, yeah, how is Buji doing your dog very cute dog? Else's doing right now. Man That's awesome. How long they been dating for? Osteoporosis I met so I'd say about almost two years. That's what fourteen done Bucci better. Put a ring. On offer sure you know Bush's. Trying. You know get some babies. I read that you played for Snoop Dogg as a head coach back in the day. Is that right? Did I did? "Body Armor Bud light life, so we've got in addition to all the different activities. which will get into in a second? I feel like we should discuss the hourly challenges that we will each be undertaking, because there's been some debate going on back and forth about who has at the worst when it comes to these hourly challenges, a big cats going to be eating a hotdog, one hot dog every single hour, I will go back and forth between bonds, probably more than less, but there will definitely be some hours that I- raw. You'll be switching back and forth between his. His buns meet. Billy will be doing twenty six point two miles a marathon. He's doing a marathon over the course of the day on a treadmill on a treadmill. He's also going to be trying to get a new topic trending every hour wearing a t-shirt that topic and he's just GonNa have to keep every single t shirt on so changed. Shirts are added an additional shirt every hour until he's wearing twenty four t shirts so at the end of it by the way we should start. US should if everyone can help the first one should just be grit stream yet stream should be the first one at twelve o'clock to kick it off so as soon as you wake up in here this. Let's start tweeting. Grit stream will get trending. Get it ready. We also this was a judge I. don't even remember who came up with the idea that billy was going to be on a treadmill, but is a genius idea because we've essentially neutralized having to hang out with billy for all twenty four hours they. Put them away. Where like it's like walking a dog. Only good dog tire dog billy will be tired out and we don't get full billy the whole time billy has been trying negotiate with me behind the scenes a little bit this week trying to switch tasks because I have to drink a beer at the top of every hour. One beer per hour I'm still a little bit nervous about that. I don't think I've ever drank twenty four beers over that long of a period of time before maybe once or twice in college I might Cram those twenty four beers into shorter timeframe, but this one is going to be I. Don't know how my body's. What's going to happen? Is that the beginning of the? Stream is going to be very easy at the end. When we're low on sleep, it's you're going to start getting drunk so bilas trying to negotiate and say hey. How about we trade off where he can drink ten beers and I can run ten miles and I was like wait billy, I'm. I'M NOT GONNA drink fourteen beers and then get onto a treadmill afterwards I don't think anyone's GonNa like that. Also I was telling billy. It's for his own good that we're not letting him drink. Karan viewers on this horrendous, so and then has to read what a page out of a book every hour and that's the worst. That's the worst and then be a Jane austen novel shake is going to be doing a rebellion pack of cards every single hour, so for that FAO CI card. Yes, so it's GonNa. Be. It's going to be I think billy has the worst. I think it might I think I might have a second? I don't know I'll trade. The real question is is obviously an me. Jacob probably excluded from this because they'll be easy for me to read whatever twenty four pages shaken open twenty four packs of cards. The real question is which one of you guys is going to bow out the earliest like and. WE'LL T- How many beers at twenty four will drink. How many hotdogs at a twenty four will big cat eat? And how many miles out of twenty four will billy actually do so? I think we'll should be judging. He'll bell out I. He's GonNa have some major shits after like five or six I'll be fine I'm gonNA. Can. Can I throw or no, yes, okay I might throw up at some point I i. actually think I had this. I think I think you are both going to. All of you will be closer to fifteen. Could we barter behind the scenes? Could I be like can't take two of my beers I'll take to your. No. I want to eat twenty four hotdogs. I don't want to be up for the challenge now with Hank. I had this idea last night. Tell me what you think about this instead of reading a book. Book or maybe in addition to reading a book you remember that game. The twenty four challenged challenged twenty four cards that have four numbers on them, and you have to figure out how to get to twenty four, using those four numbers what we would if we gave Hank or three dot card at the top of every hour, and he's not allowed to participate whenever fun activity we're until he solves the three dot. One Okay I like that where we're going to get that. I ordered okay perfect, so we're good to go. Has To do a puzzle. What Billy duets you? Twenty six point, two miles or twenty four miles, twenty four miles, a little less than a marathon. Yeah, twenty four. That's fair. We're doing twenty four years twenty four hotdogs twenty four months acres, twenty four packs of cards twenty four puzzles. Isn't going to be a Baker's marathon. Yeah, I like that I like that line also Kudos to billy for waiting approximately seven minutes into recording this to try to get out of I. Mean Yeah, he's billy billy time in place for Billy's just not relevant when it comes to like. Hey, bill, you got to do this. Like maybe takes a breath. He's like we really have to do that so we have a lot planned though it's going to be fun twenty four hours. We're going to be raising money for the children's Miracle Hospital. Network, so if you have money that you want to donate to a great 'cause it's. A dollar sign part of my take on the cash, APP, so we're GONNA. Raise money throughout we're GONNA dump it onto the children's Miracle Hospital Network at the end of the Stream. We'll do that. Live on the Stream. You can watch us, so that will be great. It's going to be a great cause, and then we also have some fun. Things plan we have. We're GONNA play. Some Jenga we have some ping pong We're going to do a couple interviews. We have maybe Danny woodhead. Who's going to be putting us through a workout at like six am We're GONNA. Play some video games, maybe against some guests of ours. We're going to do an episode of chopped for dinner. Two episodes episode and for Breakfast, a spelling bee, and then at the very end we're going to do. Dozens Trivia with Jeff. Low and Brandon Walker, which should be just horrendous by us. Oh, I actually want to nominate by the way I saw the teams I would like to like. Hank, PF and myself I jake billy and Brennan I would like to make an amendment to those teams. I think that it should just be billion. Brandon I think billion Brandon Billy Brennan's going to have such a heads up like a A. Leg Up on us because we will have not slept and brand you'll be. You're drunk. I'll be sick anytime. Brain is not on camera. He is sleeping. I were Nader billion. Brandon, though the Combo the two of them dealing with okay so I. Don't mind at all I. Actually liked that the problem is jeff has it in his head because he runs the dozen trivia contest where he has like these graphic set up right in the boxes set up Jeff doesn't like having an off kilter screen where there's a ton of people on one side and two people on another so. So if we can convince jeff well, we can all sit in the screen together. Well, we we could be in one screen, but the way that he has it set up on screen like the way that the graphics package is going out is that there are two screens one on each side right but I'm saying like the four of us could sit on one screen together, and the of them could sit on. One just doesn't like to off balance right? Okay well we'll have to. We'll have to negotiate that. We just to lock me in a room with brain and. I Want Brandon to actually murder. Right and Jake would be too much of a city or Tomlin's. Jake is like a reasonable human. Being the Brandon Walker can reason with so that would eliminate the tension between you and Brandon. Can I give you a sneaky little pick into who I think will be the first to murder. Somebody else because I. Don't think that it's going to be brandon murdering billy I. think that might be the second murder livestream I think that there's a chance that hank murders jake. Because you don't think Hank I. Billy Hits Bill. Yeah, but we're going to be playing. In the second hour, the.

"Juju Smith Schuster is on the team and he will I'm not just talking. I'm talking to contract. I'm talking second contract I'm not talking. Let's not get into the weeds with the fact that you know if he signs A. Tag. You know let's just not look at a franchise tag looks at the future being new contract for Juju. I'm saying what's going to happen I'm I. Hope I'm right I respect your opinion, though and that's that's probably the glory of the homer in the hater, so you fit in. Real perfect right there. Awesome. So. If. You ever get the Maryland to. We, there's a whole bunch of us here in Maryland. As far as a s, C goes, so we can definitely get you to the as here as well. South so as far as everything goes. Let's transition a little more to from the wide receivers injudiciousness Schuster to Ben Rothlisberger. Now. Let's look at Ben. He proclaims back. I don't think he's back, but we don't know but medical sciences on so many things since one thousand, nine hundred four. Wouldn't Terry Bradshaw? Injury, so you look at that? You have people like Ryan Switzer and Ju- and even James Connor Sane Man. Ben Is back in. He is on the mark, so we'll find that we'll find that out for sure when minicam start. And of course, that's going to be delayed when training Camp Stars as well and when you look at the fact that the NHL is probably not getting back to business until July. For the season with the playoffs. That's probably going to be maybe a little bit later for the NFL, but you just don't know with that. Being said is covert nineteen going to be? A problem for Ben Rothlisberger as far as his. Return to the game. You know I would have said like you'd think it'd be the opposite. You think they would have given more time. I was a little surprised that they already put the schedule out. I thought for sure. Why not delay things maybe a week or two like I think we could, we could handle that and like players get a little bit more rest. He's more time to come back. But now I don't feel necessarily affect Ben because he'll just be throwing little bit less I. I feel like that could only help like he knows how to play the game. You don't play nearly twenty years as a quarterback and. He's going to make the whole thing, so you don't really do that. Just not knowing what you're doing, so the mental side of things. He's not gonNA. Lose, but. When it comes to actually getting the strength back, he's thrown with this wide receivers lot, but he's he's not gonNA. Take any hits I. Obviously, he wouldn't in practice or cap anyway, but. He can do what he wants to do. And I feel like will be Ben I. Think for me what the most frustrating thing is! They never came out and said exactly what the surgery was. It was Tommy John then. Typically guys come back stronger. That's the nature of the surgery, but then. I think the only thing they ever said was. It wasn't Tommy John But. Are they telling the truth, which is surprising because the NFL you actually they actually say like pinpoint like what the injury is. It's not hockey. It's not lower body injury that you get on the report and say. Who knows that this is going to be back in a day or two months it. It's the weirdest thing to me that it was never released so I feel like it should help Ben just getting a little bit more rest, but There's so much information that's kind of just been missed that we don't know exactly what's going on. Well. I'm going with the Dave Scofield diagnosis because he he was sitting on my couch and we were watching the Seattle game together, and when he noticed, he said Excuse me, that's his elbow. He's done for the year. He could tell just the way he was hanging it and but even though he doesn't. He didn't know what surgery Ben had. But with the elbow, and that's pretty much what we're going with all along, and that's kind of leaked out a little bit. You know elbow, but not exactly the exact diagnosis I. I tend to stick with Dave on that, but here's the thing with. This question so say he's back. The pre season we typically only see Ben in One preseason game the last few years. Do you think that has to change in two thousand twenty, so say there's five games this year because the because of the hall of fame game, even though that may or may not occur. We don't know if that game happens. But say there's a slate. Excusing Games. How many games do you think Ben Rothlisberger needs this year? So I think when it comes to preseason, he'll only dial it up. Just a little bit more just based on kind of how everything's going. Maybe a quarter in the fourth preseason game and then a half in the V. just kind of based on what's going on. Obviously the other games. I think there's still a lot to be figured out when it comes at third quarterback so Paxton Lynch is someone I could see. The coaches is falling in love with because he's huge and has a cannon arm. He's basically everything that duck and so I think they're still competition. Be had a outside of Ben so they might want to just see what they have outside of that. And if he says hey had owned a play, it's not. Not like Mike Tomlin can be like. No, you have to play it. Ben is a lot of control the steam. He's GonNa. Play what he wants and what he feels. That's going to get him ready. The most but I could still just see him doing a little bit more just testing it out a little bit more I. Don't think I don't think he wants to miss any time again. Obviously, so he's GonNa do whatever it takes to probably limit anything that's going to affect a him being reinjured Obviously be more hits, and if depending on what the elbow surgery is again, it really kind of. What it Kinda comes down to is Kenny throw it fifty times a game, or can he throw it only twenty? It's something we're going to be Congress enough so I could see depending on what it is if it's like the Tommy John. I think he might want to get a little more reps in, but. It's Kinda hard to tell. So. Let's talk a little bit more about that. I kind of think that he needs about. At least two games in the preseason, if in fact, every year.

"Now. is going to have so many more weapons to throw to. We've already talked about the four wide receivers. will there be an odd man out with those four wide receivers. When you take into consideration, you have two very good pass catching tight ends thrown in there, too. If you think that is going to be an on man out there or do you think that? Like heck with the stats, let's just get everybody the open man, the opportunity and that's the way it's going to go, and no one's GonNa Really Light Up the stat sheet, but it's going to be more WS. You know it's interesting. I think. When I look at the Shit receiving, core and coaching staff is done in the past. I would love to say that they're gonNA risk cycle through everybody, but when it comes to specifically can looking at the running back side every year. It's like Oh this kind of set up to have like a core rotation. They never do it. There's always number one at connors going to get the ball until the wheels fall off and then maybe Snell, whoever comes up next that's that's just the way it seems to go and seems to be that way with every position, so I would love to say. That everyone's going to get the ball. Because I think that's more, the smart football way to do it, but. I, really think it end up being automatic out thing We saw Jane's Washington. Have more of a career step forward and kind of. Protection and blocking field. Could he take a step back? Just based on who comes in possibly, but I do think this team will take advantage of some their matchups, because they have such big wide receivers, tight end set like you mentioned. The are pass catching threats I kinda dream of seeing like a a diamond formation with Iran Vance and chase. That'd be insane. How are you going to cover that if you have? Those guys split out to the same side of the field. Teams aren't GonNa Three safeties out there. And if they are, you can take advantage of that in other ways, so I think the team has to be creative and use their guys because while spring them all in you. You have to use them all if I'm there. If I'm the OC of Ronnie feet near, I'm I'm doing whatever it takes to make sure everybody's. Everybody's getting their piece of the Pie, sums going to be bigger than others, but I think everyone needs to get that ball. I think this offense has a potential to be kind of a game-breaker because they have so many different options, and they have to use them. That's the only way this offense can be successful this year. Okay, Gut, check time Michael Back. Look into two thousand twenty one is Juju Smith Schuster among those four, the top four wide receivers on the Pittsburgh steelers in who are the top four. All right so I think I'm going to go. No I would love to say yes, but I think he won't be on the team. based on what I kind of mentioned earlier with that money side of things It's just going to be so hard. There's a lot of guys coming up. Cam obviously WANNA contract TJ gotta get paid the year after that Ben's numbers huge depre- James Connor I think. I think he'll, he'll come back just on like a really cheap deal. That will surprise some people. Vance's coming up. Just so many guys are coming up that it's Kinda hard to justify signing a wide receiver to a big ticket. Ticket especially when you have other guys there so I'm GonNa say no I think he might end up back on the West. Coast in his is California roots but I. Guess we'll see how that develops. As time goes long as for the four wide receivers, obviously, the three drafted in Deontay a Klay Pool at Washington. That four slot is going to be interesting I think the steelers continue that trend of taking someone in the second third, maybe fourth, but probably second third round I I think they'll just keep keep that trend live who that person is. I guess we're GONNA have to sit back and watch T. W. season but. I don't think that number. Four Guy Right now is on the roster yet. I think that someone that will see a hopefully. Not a Dante Moncrieff two point Oh. But something along those lines either a veteran which I doubt I think they'll just go back to the draft pool and Kinda. Keep keep doing what they have historically. Very good I i. do appreciate that you know as far as I'm concerned I think we need to throw a bed on this and I'm big on vets, not not huge bats, but. Maybe. Maybe something. Cool from Canada and something cool from the Berg I mean I could probably get you permanance out that way. have. You ever had any sandwich I mean it was the first thing I did when I got to Pittsburgh. Whenever, I like dreamed of visiting going no game being in Heinz field. It was you watch the rookie video. It's the first thing to do when they get to town. It's like it's what you gotta do. Like fries and slaw and a sandwich your Dang. Right of course. Taken that up, I think it went like three times a week whether the order. What was your saying oh? Goodness I can't remember what it was called. Something like Italian Deli or something like it was really good, so if you know if you go to the stadium, there's only two options at the stadium and cheese. And the the pits Burger which is Pittsburgh's more of like a steak patty. So it's it's definitely one of my one of my absolute favorites. In Hill. We got one about four or five years ago in Maryland. I was only getting them every time I wanted the stadium, so it was just an absolute joy. I made my whole family going. Wait two and a half hours on opening night. Just so I can get my first sandwich, but I will make per manny's bad I know they'll ship it. They will they will they ship it and dry ice and do that, so I'll do that, and then you can send me something cool from Canada if I'm right because I'm saying the two thousand twenty, one..

"Just WANNA keep Tony Brown for all these years. Yeah come on man. Let's just keep it one hundred. I mean it I mean you see is what it is. Let's let's end the show on this topic because what's the what's the B word fifty two. Whose another youtube reset in. He's he's he's all good. He's fine he's a good guy. Seems like he just sparked my. Did you happen to see? Antonio Brown released a photo of himself in a ravens uniform. There's talk because he's trained with his cousin. Marquees and Lamar Jackson. Down in Florida. Would your reaction be if Mr Antonio Brown went to Baltimore? I I'd love it because it be it. A fantastic opportunity for the steelers to really knock him out numerous times per year. It'd be oh I thought you. I thought you were GONNA sell out. I thought you were going to sell out and say man. That'd be a great podcast. You get great numbers on my goal. My Gosh he is completely sold. Y- yeah I would love to see him get you know. I'm not a proponent of violence all the time but sometime and Him getting knocked out. I mean I I mean look I come from an era in the seventies where you know if the steelers didn't win win the fight and so You know I mean I. I have a dad that would say you know. Sometimes you gotTa take a fifteen yard penalty. Sometimes you gotta take one to make a statement in. I hope he would run a shallow cross. I would love that. He run a shallow crossing. Run into that a linebacker on opposite side in he get torn up. I think the steelers would absolutely try to tear up Mr Third and fifth Mr Gummy Richard. I think Tomlin would would have them on fire trying to tear him up on Sunday and it would be great to see. Yeah it's it's definitely one of those situations where people need to remember number one. I in first and foremost is at wherever he goes whoever he signs with if he ever signed with someone you cannot expect him to be on a roster anytime soon he will most likely go onto a commissioner's exempt list until his off-field litigation is resolved. And it's not resolved. It's not even close to resolve so if Baltimore wants to sign this guy and bring that distraction to their their headquarters and by all means go have had her not gonNA do. He's old. Here's a play football for a ton of time now that he gummy richards not coming back. But yes like Jesse Robinson. Said statement hits. I love that. Hashtag statement hits. Okay you want to catch it over the Middle Yes sir. I'll take that fine UTAH. Yeah you take the D. Juju Smith. Schuster regrets the hit on volunteers. Perfect absolutely not. Hell no love Juju. They love juice Buick. Judy came in the locker every day. They're like yeah baby. Oh Yeah Oh yes they were yelling at Karma they were yelling Karma physically. Yelling Karma around was Oh love it. Oh lovely I mean. That's how you endear yourself to your teammates. I mean I think the thing we forget at times is football. It's a hell of a physical game. Manila's Groman out here that try to make physical statements on every single play and trust me. Oh Tomlin will have them try. He won't Greg Robinson him if you guys don't remember Greg Robinson when he was defensive coordinator the Saints Bounty Gate. You know talent. Won't Greg Robinson him? He'll probably do everything about as close to that if that opportunity is there you tell your simple. Hey you get a shot take it. You get a shot take it. I just think that Golic Antonio Brown and I'M GONNA go out on a ledge new limb here and say I don't think he has changed. I know that's A. I'm really stepping out. I'm really stepping out here. I don't think he's changed. We saw what it was like when Rothlisberger went out and he had to play with another quarterback now granted when he went to New England for a short stint there. Explain what Tom Brady. Okay that one. Tv pass yes but when he had of play with guys like Landry Jones. What was his demeanor like? So let's beyond. Certainly Lamar. Jackson is not considered to be the most accurate thrower of the football. Do you think that's fair Lance in that statement? I would say it's fair that that is something. He is improving. He's improving on it. I'm not going to disagree with you. But he's not considered the most accurate throw the ball. And what do you think? Antonio Brown's reaction would be if he's deep down the field and Lamar toxin runs. He's GonNa get fed up the water. Cooler deduct water coolers or get it. Yeah so I just think that. There's a lot of steeler fans that saw that image. Now all my gosh please. Don't there's so many layers to this? Just calm down eleven it. What's the be work? Say if you are buddy hey that that is true that those are Ashtec facts and what it. Mvp get them one more game in round facts one more game also faxes I can say Never a guy who's never won a playoff game. Mvp Lamar Jackson facts had sex facts. But Yeah Tom would give them the head. Not I mean you were coach Jeff a head coach when you give the guy the yeah you give him the head nod like I'm not going to say it but there were players on my team that I literally be able to go up to him. Say Hey see that guy there. That's killing us. Take care of it and you'd know they get a penalty. I knew it was common and they come to feel the good job. We'll pound it. It's horrible when I say that I was like that. But at the same. Token Dawson water owning those water on that can put that fire out. Okay I guys coach I got you. I got you coach. Let me go and do the job. He was normally a backup guy. Anyways data he Tehran. He'd get the hit. He gets tossed her putting the box. All right. We'll take it. We'll play man now. That's fine. I mean that's what football is in so if that ever came up Antonio going to see your absolute all right very good show topics today. It's kind of crazy..

"Twenty eight point nine times against the steelers or turning the ball over so teams ran a lot against the steelers. So it'd be interesting to see if the Oracle wants to dive into that as we punt the football Scacchi Sued York. This is this is all a part of football being the ultimate team game. Roberts said it and I was going to add this to but I'll put his on his message on the screen here. He's at our defense can get better buyer offense keeping the ball longer not just keeping the ball longer. Robert but scoring touch downs. You go against a team like Baltimore. He just loves to run the ball so much in a in a variety of ways including with their quarterback. If you are up by fourteen points you no longer have the option of just running the ball at will. You're going to have to put the ball in the air to get back. That's what they missed in two thousand. Nineteen those two thousand defenses. Maybe even two thousand eight. Yeah absolutely They had a fantastic run of defense from about two thousand eight to probably around two thousand twelve. I mean they played some great football. So eight takes you to championship. Ten takes you to the loss against the packers in the Super Bowl in twelve. Takes you a couple of years past that so you still had a blend of? Tomlin guys in cower guys on that defense they play some really good defense but like I've said it before on his show I think defense is your this secondary definitely the best secondary they've had since. Oh Eight? I think it's actually the Best Secondary Hannity Thomas. And because of that. And because of the sack numbers that they get they get every year in three straight years of fifty plus sacks. Hey everyone it's Jimmy model on the hosts feed run a new show on qube produced by the team at Polygon. Speed gives you your daily dose.

"Mike Evans Brandin Cooks De'andre Hopkins Adams. Dealin Jarvis. Let okay this is. This is now entering. Juju territory in my opinion okay. So you're saying Juju is between like Andrey Hopkins is sixteen. So you're saying the sweet spot is in there because a fourteen million you're talking about Alan Robinson A. T. Y. Hilton range. You're not going to save a average. I mean how you structure the contract in terms of how the salary cap hit works out saying no betting on my client. I'M GONNA I'm judy. She WanNa bet on himself because right now his stock has never been lower but if he has a good year like you mentioned he can demand a year to put me in that upper echelon of wide receivers injured. That's that's where you know. In theory it makes sense for the steelers to try and make a deal now but from a financial standpoint for the client I e Juju Smith Schuster. It's it's not a smart move you WanNa say I wanNA wait to bring this full circle? I think that we both be is an insurance policy. If you lose Juju after this year. They're they're not going to be decimated the wider situation where. Let's say you were stuck with lot less in the cupboard. Put it that way also putting yourself out there. If you get banged up again of you all of a sudden you're hurt you don't produce so yes you could elevate if that happens. They don't WanNa see that happen. Especially if it's an injury plagued thing. They want their players to be healthy. They want their more than the lodge at said. Jews in the range of eleven in Around that range and it's weird here when you look at. The average sat at eleven million mark in terms of average Larry Fitzgerald Keenan Allen. Interrail Williams. I'll give you one or two nine below that tyler boy in guarantee you if you approach. Juju would attend point seven five per average deal like tyler in Robbie Anderson at ten million Jews going to get paid more than all those players so I don't think I don't think I would say fourteen. Fourteen is his range. In my opinion fourteen. Grooving fourteen hundred students have to weigh keeping deontay Johnson Juju Washington clay with that unit works. Well there is a price to keeping it together. Then again you got. I onic digby last. Two years in the steelers are in full. Go mode trying to get that seven championship and I think that will weigh in jujubes favor when it comes to a conduct bring in some new dude. I don't WanNa rock with these three young so we can go out and try to get this with a bang. I get my seven. I mean we can get myself academically. Can you imagine the marketing seven for seven? Ben Rothlisberger get seven championship in his last year. He can't write that script better. All right let's change it up a little bit. Thirty nine ball and cookie gives us five dollars in the tip jar appreciate Daddy said. Would you say the steelers last? Two off seasons were secretly geared towards bolstering the special teams units. And how do you think they've done in that department? Why I know that something. That is a common thread between land's end myself throughout the last few seasons done the post game show is been the teams has been. It's been bad it was bad in two thousand eighteen every kick it was. It's always bad with Jordan Berry putting the football coverage units. I don't know if they're drafts. Have BEEN GEARED TOWARDS IT? I think that then drafting players that have proven to be commodities on special teams is an added bonus to the player if that makes sense. I don't think that they're they're drafting. You Know Alex High Smith in the third round as an edge rusher and saying well. It doesn't pay now. He's GonNa be a good special teams guy. No they're saying that he is a really could have a potential to be a really good edge. Rusher he could be a backup in that scenario and he's also a very capable player on special teams saying what Chase Klay Pool who we just talked about. He's a big body fast wide receiver. Who can really be bad missing? Piece of the puzzle offensively he also likes to play special teams. He registered a bunch of tackles at Notre Dame on special teams. I think the dad is like just another feather in the cap for a prospect. You AGREE OR DISAGREE LANCE YOUNG AGREE. I kind of agree and disagree Outstay this if you're if they draft you as a defensive player let's say prior to the fourth round your first second or third round pick and your contribution ends up being special teams. That wasn't their intent. Yeah they're they're intent was for you to have a significant impact in the starting eleven or sub package football you know special teams contribution is sort of like when you go to a restaurant. You've been eating number five for years. They run out of it and you have to order number seven and number seven is really good and you're like wow foul something else that. I'd like to eat a disaster on your number. Seven is what you get special teams player if you're a top draft pick if you're a lowered round draft pick. Let's say fifth to seven out put forth Canada as that Mendosa Line. If you become a Tyler Medicaid Draft Pick in you become a special teams as you can get contributions. They're they're solid with that but I don't think they're drafting Tyler Medicaid. Which with the thought that? He's going to be their special teams. Ace date like for him to contribute in the actual bass or sub package defense. So it's kind of a yes and a no but no I don't think they go out and look for special teams unless they're taking a specialist. I mean I mean that's the only time I think when you can guarantee take a special teams player. Yeah the other talking point that we wanted to get to you. Today is something you texted me as well in. This is a tough question. In my opinion it is. Where can the steelers twenty twenty defense improve? I think we're all going to admit that. It's a pretty elite group. It's a group that has high expectations put on heading into the new season. Land if you were someone that is going to pinpoint one area. Where this team can get better. It used to be the same adage. They used to always be turnover. The more turnovers led the NFL turnovers last year. So really can't go that way. Where do you think this defense can improve heading into next season? And Luckily I've done a chart for this and let me say this probably GonNa Piss off folks like you've ever shopped away from probably going to soft folks that team up north the one that no longer has the alleged goat had the best defense in the national football league last year. I think by far that defense was elite. They were elite passing defense. They were lied creating turnovers. They were an elite defense. They did not go far in the playoffs. They got beat in the first round. But I think that defense was elite. I think the steelers defense is in the same conversation with that defense talking about the Patriots that team North. You're not if you're unfamiliar with the show. I hate to say the Patriots but I'm talking about that team north. Who USED TO. Have Tom Brady. Who's now going to be a buck? And he's GonNa get bucked when he's planning for the bucks but anyway I think it's NFL. Teams opponents passing yards or touchdowns per game the steelers ranked fourteenth. They gave up about one. And a half touchdown passes per game now if you look at that compared to some other defenses that. I think we're really good so I think New England was really good on defense said the best Defense Buffalo New England ranked one in that Category Buffalo was to Baltimore Three Chicago for Green Bay five Seattle six Denver Seven Carolina Eight Dallas Nine. The chargers ten Kansas City. Eleven Jacksonville Minnesota. Then you had the steelers. The steelers were middle of the road. In terms of giving up touchdown passes per game and I found that step really surprising because I think the strength that is defense is their secondary now. One point four is a ton but we are talking about a defense. That is as good as it is. And you're looking for small areas of improvement. I think that's a small area of improve. Now if you compare that number to the worst defense in Football Miami gave up two and a half touchdown passes per game. So it's not like teams are given up four five on average but I still think that's a room for improvement for this defense. Is the number of touchdown passes the average number of Touchdown passes that they give per year their team stats defense. Stats in front of you right now. I have a couple of them. Probably not all. GimMe Gimme one of the one area that I was looking at. What was Rushing yards per game in yards per carry surrendered on average. I guess when I think back to the early two thousand defenses and that's as close to dominant his. I've seen steelers defense in my lifetime. I was not alive for the seventy steelers. The steel curtain that just completely dominated but for some reason I feel like if they were. They could do a better job suffocating. The run and especially in a division with. We've talked about it before. Maybe some of the mess the best ball carriers in the with Lamar Jackson Ingram. Obviously they got. Jk Dobbins You also have Nick Chubb. Kareem HUNT UP IN CLEVELAND Mixing in Cincinnati It's it's a situation where I'm not sure if the numbers really match up with my perception and that could definitely be the case but when I think back to those elite to thousands defenses. They were a team that never gave up. One hundred yards rushing. They if you're going to beat us it's going to be on our terms we're going to dictate what you do in. That's when I think about elite defenses. That's what I think of and I'm not sure that Louis in two thousand nineteen that they had that type of defense. There's numbers lands by chance. So the opponent's rushing yards per game against the steelers defense. The steelers were fourteenth. They gave up a hundred and nine point six per game in their last three games. They gave up a hundred and forty six per game and to your point. I think you saw how Baltimore ran the ball against them in the last game of the season and Baltimore pretty much had their way on the ground against the steelers defense. Yeah when I think about this defense in where are where's their strength. You just said it secondary's one absolutely pass Russia's the other if they can a team like Baltimore which let's be honest there now the the litmus test in the AFC north they won at the last two years they were the number one seed heading into the playoffs. I mean that's natural. That's not anything. That's that's not a cut on the steelers. That's just fact if you can force third and longs on that team you got 'em where you want him. You know what I mean. And so being able to stifle the run on early downs in not give whether it's Baker Mayfield whether it's Joe borough whether it's Lamar Jackson not giving them third and manageable is huge. I mean it's it's it's enormous. And that's when the defense can in their ears back Cam Hayward steph onto a T. J. Watt budgie pre and aken wreak havoc in the backfield. That's where I feel if I'm answering the question that you pose. How can the steelers defense get better? Steininger run more stop. The run may teams beach. You on your terms not the other way round. Here's an interesting point. Maybe we should punt this topic more cells so the Oracle when the Stack Geek. Next week hint hint pawn delve into this a little deeper. Here's an interesting thing. Although they were fourteenth in the yards per game stat they were third in yards per rush attempt at three point eight and I think that speaks to how good they were as a secondary and how good they were in terms of cash rush because you might WanNa pick your poison with that defense by running the ball. A lot as opposed to You know trying to air it out and put your put your off at risk of getting the ball intercepted and or your quarterback get sacked so the rushing yards might be a little bit artificial just because the rushing attempts are really high and I can give you the rushing attempts per game against the defense and.

"I'm not necessarily convinced that juju Smith Schuster is a number one wide receiver. I'm not overly convinced that defensive coordinators are scared of juju Smith Schuster. I'm not overly convinced that what Steeler fans and what we saw in the last game against Cincinnati. May not be what we see next year. I just think when I look at this roster and even more so than a safety deposition and outside linebacker position because I think those are debt issues, I think the guys that started nose positions are fairly solid. Particularly what I just look at these names. And I go Moncrieff Washington, Switzer's Rogers. Oh, no. Oh, no. Where's the explosiveness? What makes a defensive coordinator, you know, restless on night. I mean, I think I can I can guard those guys pretty much straight up the guy. I don't think I'm scared of any of those guys I think I can put extra rushers it's a defensive packages to get after big been. I think I hold up on the back end one on one. I don't I don't feel like have to drop to safeties. You know, I feel like I can put a safety in the box and really get after this running game really make the running game succeed against a head box or more defenders there because I just don't think there's a guy that beats me including juju in any of the mix. None of this makes me a frayed or scared. What I'm looking at the Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm thinking I can handle those guys. So I would agree with ESPN and other places and other news sources in sports sources that say that the biggest hole on this roster is the wide receiver position. They don't have a star back there. I like stars. I like stars. And I liked that the attention that stars give you that enable other guys to eat and right now, can we save that ju ju is good enough to set? The menu is set the table. For Moncrieff, Roger Switzer, Washington out. Now is juju good enough to enable those guys to eat like that guy in Oakland was I don't think so. Really don't think. So I will be very surprised at what it looks like just on paper and looking at it. And again when you look at the absence of production, minus fifty six receptions, minus six hundred twenty nine yards and minus twelve TD's. And when you look at those guys and Moncrieff Washington, Switzer's Rogers aloe hundred receptions, five touchdowns. I don't know. It doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy it makes me feel like. Desk can't had makes me feel like, but with that we're going to conclude the program and as always tune in. Tele- friend. And subscribe.

Because I think he is being my take that and put on a scroll juju says it made me feel some kind of way some kind of way, though, he's not saying what kind of what kind What of kind way. of way, but I feel like we could do something say one way. Away. You hear good? You're not in your second year in the league. What is it that you're promoting today? We're going to give you a wide berth hearsay as much as you like about your product because we're delighted that you were so playful. Advocating to work with the partnership. You know pizza being brought a NFL, obviously, it's been amazing. Just because you know, who doesn't know pizza a big fan of pizza, and you know, for me to be out here. This amazing things this year being on commercial pizza, and I'll see this all season. I think it's I think it's amazing that were going on just today ROY Moore stuff. Dude, you what's your strategy when eating pizza? Do you eat the crust, or do you judge people that don't you can't trust anybody because? Got the cash somebody who don't eat the crust the crust, and you gotta have ranch and all the other sides that ran a sneaky played in ram. Branch or dipping the crust into the ranch. Yeah. All that. I'm a big ranch guy. Not just the crust. Got you can go to even first bite. You can go into the real question is you choose pepperoni cheese. You have to choose between them. Yeah. If you had to pick one or the other. Everyone around. No, I'm actually old school, man. What are you talking? Owning. Yeah. Go for. On the poll. Please your pizza must have have cheese or pepperoni. I think juju is going to be in the minority. What do we think about hot sauce on pizza? I mean, I don't know a lot. Even Pizza Hut. I thought I care about. How about pineapples on as long as it Pizza Hut? Apple apple ham. You good with that combo. With that pizza. It's got sneaky good thin crust too. That is very true. That is true. Is there anything that's on a pizza that juju? Smith Schuster, simply will not abide like you'll look at somebody. You'll judge them. You'll say that's disgusting. Mean not necessarily unless you. Yeah. Not necessarily. I feel like we've run out of pizza material with you should I go back to the Tony Brown and lady on bell stuff. We test them out a little bit more. All right. Maybe about. Maybe we should talk more about the eyelids. What is the the time? Do you remember anything where all of you got together in the locker room afterward? And we're like man Tomlin said that thing and that that was crazy what he just said. Really a timer code. We went a lot, and we talked about coastal almonds, you know, speech or anything that he said on a personal line. It was just more. So the, you know, let's just keep stuff off, you know, keep track in the locker room off media all social media, obviously that that's that doesn't work out. You know, it's hard nowadays. You know, what people say we'll be either instantly doodoo, you're famous for being a big time gamer what's the game that you're playing right now red dead, redemption? Is that what you're on you still important night? I'm a little bit of everything more so-called duty. Just just because I always been a call of duty guys beginning since I was a kid and do. Yeah. What's the most amount of hours you've ever spent playing a video game in one sitting? Man. I'll do a like twelve to fourteen hours one time. I was in the I was in high school, and I played non Dan really, go out partying anything hang out with friends. It was like Bill games with my life has Pro Bowl receiver juju Smith Schuster recently like in the past few months found himself arguing over a headset while playing call of duty with like a twelve year old kid because it's something that happened in the game. I did in high school and those days nowadays when I played video games, people are more. So like going crazy like bands because they noticed my username and all always acting questions and stuff like that. And I always posting do you want to have this wrong? Did you go out for Halloween as juju Smith Schuster? Yes, I did..
Is it possible for the Rockets to beat the Warriors?
"Want to buy. Aids. Is it possible? The rockets could get it together by the Western Conference fund where they're better than they were last year. Is that possible? I don't think so it's not possible. I don't think so I think that's poss- adult at the sixty five wins as good as they looked last year. I don't think it's possible for most teams to be better than they look lashes out. But what I mean is actually better like the the warriors one seventy three games. Yeah. And then they got better because they added the rent their regular season record wasn't as good. But in the moment of truth, they were clearly the best team. And of course, they should be big favorites. Again, the way they've been looking recently. And the talent we know they have my point is if you believe it's possible for the rockets to actually in the moment of truth now that they have the experience of last year be better than they were last year. They only need to be that much better by the snow. You don't think the lawyers? Got you go, Molly, I'm trying to make. It's just interesting doing down that ladder. They had no man that tell C P three got hurt. I just. Very very very clear. My reservations for Oakland have already been made. There is no there's no issue. Here is your I will be in Oakland at oracle ju- where where are you going to be on the east coast with us? I'm hoping I'm hoping today Milwaukee. But only for you know, I may wanna socialite that's all your team because a lot of drama goes another day in more support coming out for Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown. This time for fellow wideout juju Smith Schuster crazy stuff about AB. You gotta fill in a law firm. If you come back, you guys welcome. And they man he may he's guy. Yeah. Well, I wonder what his teammates feel about this tweet from AB who usually says businesses Bowman and right now, Stephen he's open for business. It'd be over for whatever you want still is Abbas right to say other so exc- he could be open to whatever he wants. I don't give a damn about Antonio Brown's feelings right now I wanted to stay with this. These that great. And really, by the way, I'm not telling you anything. I haven't told him. Yeah. If a damn by his feelings, I want him on a steel course. I don't want to Steelers to trade this, man. He's great. He's too. Great figuring it out. I'll give it there. You gotta give them a massage pedicure. You gotta take them. You gotta have sports therapy sessions with you gotta go play with his cage got treated to dinner for the next day. What you gotta do. Now. I will say this. I want him to apologize to Mike Tomlin to for pudding that coach in that position. But particularly considering the paucity of African American coaches, so only two and NFL it'd be three by the time. New England wins the Super Bowl, I guess unless they lose the bottom line is is that I don't like the position. He put my Tomlin. And that's about it outside of that. He doesn't want get Tomlin put him. That's fair. That's fair. Let's get over it and figure that I or Rooney is saying I don't see how you can be on the team next year. Yeah. And all the press all the chirping out of the Steelers negative towards the future with Antonio round. Like, we don't we don't see it, basically. Now, all of the sudden juju Smith Schuster, though, watching his body language and his and hey, Derek Carr. Yeah. I'm I'm inferring. What I see? That's true. I didn't seem to me like it was in juju Smith, Schuster heart. But you can't know another Mantar all you can do is inferred from what you see. Didn't I don't know? If he if those words that are coming out of his mouth reflect the way, he's feeling, but I'll let me read between the lines a little bit. It seems to me Stephen A that at the point that they were saying all that stuff. They were probably thinking we are going to try to trade him. And probably I imagine started to kick the tires on some trade ideas like one could they get back for him. And I think what I read this. As is. Maybe what's happening here is they're not liking what they're hearing in terms of the return on moving Antonio Brown. And that they're better off with him. That's my sense. If they don't if that is true, then the Steelers would have everything to do with that. Because how do you want to trade such as surreal asset and command top dollar a top cash eighth for him? When in fact, you've served a role in excoriating, correct? So what you do don't they say this is what happened with Kyrie? Right. When the whole world. Knows he's outta there. Or you're gonna get the best offer. The worst offer at the worst offer you have to make people believe that he's going to stay whether that's because you don't get the offer you want. It's going to snake or to make people believe it. So they come with a better offer before we move onto LeBron. I just have to say this quick. I don't think I ever gave you props on this. When lady on bell was sitting going to sit out. And I was like there's no way he sits out. You're like, no he's probably going to sit out and he sat out the entire season. I think you're the only person that actually believed that he would do that. When we think he could do if you wanted the gold at the end of the grandma never would his type talent on that team. But happened LeBron James on this is fifteen straight game with the Lakers take on the Timberwolves tonight. But he hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the sons, according to coach Luke Walton when he was injured on Christmas day the Lakers weren't fourth place in the west since they injury, Los Angeles five and nine they've dropped to ninth plates in the west, Stephen A. How bad is what bronze injury for the Lakers of worry. I was told not to be worry if LeBron James Levy reading. Needed to he could go out the plate, and he would be ready, but I find this to be the most significant injury of his career I'm incredibly concerned because I want the Lakers to get a big time free agent. I want them to make some noise in the summertime, and I think that obviously when you took thirty four years of age, they are going to be people who are going to question your ability, even the great LeBron James almost never hurt. So the fact that he's outright. Now, you have to wonder whether or not a potential free agent is going to look at that. And question how much time does he have left at this level? That's when I'm not saying there's any legitimacy to that. I'm simply saying that that's a reasonable cause for concern. And so the bright lights LA Tinseltown palm tree. So the California weather notwithstanding. You'd never know what some marquee free agent is going to look at when it comes to Magic Johnson. Lincoln picking up the phone to call them and say come on L A what I man the Bron. When in fact, they're wondering about LeBron. More. I look at this more. I think Jerry's going to be a Laker. Yeah. Because I started to run down the scenarios if it's not a Y, and it doesn't look like it'll be why I wouldn't put anything past magic he landed. Lebron after all if it's not going to be K D or someone like that if Kemba Walker in fact wants to stay where he is. And they work that out if Mike Conley is not the answer in a trade. And if the Celtics don't wanna give Kyrie a supermax like why would we want to stay in Boston, not only that they're extremely talented coach the whole thing, but he'd get a supermax deal. Then I think kyri and LeBron could come around in their own minds to seeing a reconciliation as hey, what if Kobe and shack worked it out what if they parted ways? But then they said, you know, what we messed this up. Let's work this out and that eventually the Lakers would be Kyrie's team that's got to be very appealing. We know kyri has relationship with Kobe. And could you imagine if the Lakers didn't have to give up any assets at this trade deadline, if they kept Ingram and Kuzina and. An and heart and all these guys and simply added KYW read or run Bill that happens where are they in the west for ten Kyrie's there right now with LeBron and LeBron's healthy. And assuming Ingraham continues to improve and mom gets a little better share, maybe one more acquisition the right acquisition. Lakers can win the chip next year. If kyri is there, you do not need Lonzo ball. They're correct. And that means you might get something for Lonzo. Then you might not need Brandon Ingram either. Say that happening playing with LeBron listen, I'm told that is far fetched kyri is happy and Boston. He has no intentions of leaving. But Kenny had ever go around not shutting. I don't have to pretend I'm not sharing anything anything's together. Anything is they get back together for now. Sure about that. Thanks. Mitch listening to the podcast gets. I take weekdays ten AM eastern ESPN.
Ben Roethlisberger is 'clearly a part of the problem'
"Next. Next team president art Rooney. The second said Wednesday that talks have started between the Steelers and Ben Rothlisberger on a contract extension. Big Ben who turns thirty seven in March has one year remaining on his current deal. And let's keep in mind. There's been a lot of drama and Pittsburgh fellas and Tonio Brown apparently wants out lay beyond bells that out the entire season. Not to mention that Big Ben has been going back and forth on retirement these past couple of seasons. Tedy Bruschi still here with us joining us from the Pro Bowl and Orlando I teddy. There you are. We got you got you and all your friends in the background is big and more of a problem or a solution because this franchise feels like a mess right now. Because both he's he's definitely a part of the problem because they no other men in which he's handled things. I mean, again, you know, you you've got numerous players. You've got numerous NFL aficionados that have religiously called out Big Ben for saying things in throwing people under the bubble in the fashion of the quarterbacks. Don't this is not me talking. This is basically reporting what they've said as max is done as many others. If you watch Big Ben you talking about juju Smith Schuster. We should have thrown the ball of him every time you say something like that. You've got to know you've been around Antonio Brown long enough to know, how those kind of things would affect him along with various other things in other positions that he has taken that. We don't have time to get into in the end when it comes down to is that has made him a part of the problem because Big Ben is live by different set of rules. He's a bit flagrant with it. And I don't give a. AM who you are anytime you receive preferential treatment that you are you are playing by different set of rules as everybody else you are going to rub people the wrong way, especially when you consider the individual who abuses, the privilege. That's the bottom line. Having said all of that. When you look at Big, Ben he's also a part of the solution because nobody's perfect everybody makes mistakes. And if you're willing to man up in knowledge that you could have done better in certain respects. I think that would go a long way, I think the thing that the Tonio Browns of the world and others that are incredibly frustrating is not that big been mixed the mistakes, they made is that he doesn't necessarily he isn't necessarily deemed as an individual that learns from apologized showed the pope level of contrition and move forward without making sure not to repeat those mistakes again throughout the years. You've seen a pattern of behavior that has been consistent with him in that he has gotten away with it. If you listened to those NFL players Antonio Brown is one of those NFL player. Here's somebody that has said that. And as a result, you a big band you want to alleviate this situation you speak up. You recognize us where you're at fault. And I think if he did that that would go along way. So he's both a problem and a problem solver in all of this because he's right in the middle of everything as the stock quarterback of the team who obviously has is outspoken, Saddam. Well, we agree and disagree because I think he is part of the problem the solution. But for very different reasons part of the problem because Ben Rothlisberger is like a rich man's Eli manning. He is too good for your team. Just to stink almost no matter. What's going on? Right. You're good. A win some games. Maybe make the usually make the playoffs. So how do you get his successor? There's no succession, I just talked about how you know, unless you're Bill Belichick level. And it's not so easy to find a quarterback when you're not drafting up high. You know, it's more of a crap shoot. They don't have the person there that they feel can take the reins of the team if they're truly grooming. It doesn't seem to me on the other end. Therefore at the moment. He reads a lot of power because when you don't have that. But you do have a talented team. And you have a quarterback who's shown he can still play at a very high level, and we're in an era. That's right teddy in an era where older quarterbacks are clearly protected in ways. They've never been you look the level. Tom Brady is still playing at forty one. Drew Brees at forty then rothlisburger at thirty seven that that they realize, oh, wait a minute as beat up as he's been as much as he talked about retirement. He's still maybe has some years of football left in him. We don't have as backup. So he wields probably too much influence and he seems to at times publicly throw players under teammates under the bus. He's a problem because he's too good to get that next quarterback with the draft pick. He's your solution to the extent that you're good because he's a really good quarterback. And if you ain't got that, you ain't got anything. I'm with both you here because Big Ben has been a problem, and he can be a part of the solution. But this is what's happening here as you're talking about max. The quarterbacks in this league getting older and older and still being able to play past forty. What's happening is a generational gap. A generational gap between the quarterback and all of the younger skilled players and all of the younger players on defense that are ended up being a part of this team and the ability to relate. So they're almost these kids are coming in plan. I mean rothlisburger will have players coming in make sure that have had his poster on the wall or something like that that group as fans, and so how does that quarterback that aging quarterback you mentioned breeze Brady and rothlisburger? How was he able to relate to them and make them feel like still an equal? And as one of his teammates, this is where Ben Rothlisberger has failed has he failed. Also and other aspects where Stephen as talking about what he's calling out teammates where he's got no business when he should have when he's the one making bad plays. Also. Yes, I agree with that. But he needs to learn to start to relate to these younger generation of players because he will continue to get older, and that gap is. Real and you'll see players life Brees. How he still it seems like medicine Brady and breathes? They're old. Okay. How do they still have these close bonds with these young players that come into their teams and their teammates talking about them like they're best? How does that happen? There's something. Character wise that breeze and Brady has right now that Rothlisberger is lacking. I need your help with something here. Because here's what you lost. You talked about him relating to the other players, and I don't disagree with that teddy. The problem is it eight the younger players complaining about him and Tonio Brown is thirty years old. He's been big big Big Ben Rothlisberger his teammate for almost the past decade. And so this is I'm not saying that, you know, the he's thirty seven thirty thirty seven like Big Ben is, but he ain't twenty eight twenty one like did you Smith Schuster? The man is thirty the last six seasons. He's had a minimum of one hundred one receptors a minimum of twelve hundred and eighty seven. Yard. He's produced. Poor Big Ben he's been a primary target for Big, Ben. And yet that's where the problem seems to lie at this particular moment in time. So how do you explain that? And I'll put it up put it simply then because I agree with you there. It's a feeling that I've had with the quarterback that I played with and a lot of the saints and a lot of these older players on these teams that are mentioning they have the overwhelming thought in their mind that my quarterbacks got my back. No matter what that's what I think's not there in Pittsburgh. It seemed like it seems like if something happens the quarterback isn't there to either bail you out off the field the Bill you out on? That's what it is. I don't know if they feel the same way some of these saints and other players that this quarterback. He's got my
Alabama's defense gets steamrolled by Clemson in national championship game
"Won thirteen games by twenty points or more. It's just an an amazing moment. And I'll clemson's top skill players will be back next season. Trevor Lawrence Justin Ross T Higgins Travis eighteen account for five touchdowns. They're all freshmen or sophomores. Antonio Brown won't play. In the Pro Bowl says he's hurt. He'll be replaced by juju. Smith Schuster the Steelers fired running backs coach James Saxon actually did not renew his contract after five seasons. Choi Paula Malo is headed to the college football hall of fame for the first time in three weeks. The penguins are coming off a loss when they take on Florida tonight A P P G paints arena, still that means defensive won eight of their last nine games while they moved to within two points of first
Antonio Brown refused to practice in Week 17 after heated dispute with Ben Roethlisberger
"Internal rift in at first I thought what could make Brown so mad like what could have happened and you re morning allegedly there. There was the situation in practice where missed the hot route and been said he wanted to run it again, and he just lost it. What is going on with Antonio Brown? Round got upset this. According to Jeremy is reporting that rob Berger wanted to run a hot read over again during a walk-through so coaches sent another player into run the play a source close to the situation told Adam Schefter Brown got upset left. Practice and talked with rothlisburger afterward telling the quarterback that he felt underappreciated and had issues with people in the organization Emmett the Steelers locker room dating all the way back to a couple of years ago and the Facebook live incident with. Yeah. Forgot about that. You've got the lady on bell situation. Then you've got weird blow ups and just the dynamic within that team for his talented is they were to not make the playoffs. It just seems like a really toxic place to be right. It sounds like everybody's getting tired of each other. Like they've just been around each other for too long in the the Antonio Brown feeling under appreciated. What do you need to fill? Appreciate money back. Like, he's looked at his arguably the best receiver in the NFL. And I'm sure his teammates and his quarterback in his coach and everybody in the organization agrees with that statement. So what else do you need baby doesn't like the fact that juju Smith Schuster and and James Connor some of the other players on the offense. We're getting some run this year wasn't juju voted like team MVP. So maybe, but I
JuJu Smith-Schuster Apologizes for Fumble vs. Saints: 'I Let Everyone Down'
"Juju. Smith Schuster is a guy who last week before the game sad big week coming up. I know it's fantasy football championship week. I'll do my best and all that stuff. Well, if you're watching the Steelers game the other day, it looked like after the saints took the lead late. The Steelers were going to have a chance they were moved the ball downfield got into getting into field goal range and juju Smith Schuster at the ball pulled out from him. And he fumbled. He was on top of the Tacna underneath him. And they pulled the ball out fumble saints get the ball game ends juju Smith Schuster tweeted when I'm at my lowest. I'm not going to hide I'm sorry. That loss was on me. I let everybody down it won't happen again. I it's hard to imagine the NFL playoffs without the Pittsburgh Steelers. But that's what you
Oakland Raiders ponder an issue of respect for respective quarterbacks
"You're listening to the spoken edition of the San Francisco Chronicle. Oakland Raiders pondering issue of respect for respective quarterbacks by an Killian in the third quarter of Sunday Steelers raiders game. There was a sequence that seemed to reinforce everything that Oakland fans believed the league thinks about the two franchises going all the way back to the immaculate reception in nineteen seventy two the Steelers get the breaks the raiders never do on third in nineteen from the twenty two. Derek Carr went back to pass. But the ball slipped out of his hand. It looked many like an incomplete pass. But was ruled a fumble recovered by Pittsburgh. I thought for sure I was throwing it car said it just slipped out of my hand as I was throwing it. I didn't get hit. So I knew for sure that it just slipped out as obvious trying to throw it going forward car tried to get clarification from the officials in those intense situations, they think you're trying to come at them. And they're like, it's confirmed already car said. You don't get to converse about it four plays later Pittsburgh quarterback. Joshua Dobbs did almost the exact same thing. But it was ruled an incompletion Jon Gruden challenge. The ruling, but it was upheld. He had some guys reviewing it in New York. The raiders head coach said when asked about what happened how the hell would. I know. I can't even see the guy we have some guys ruling the game in making these decisions that you can't even have a conversation with I am not going to get fined or anything like that. But personally, I don't like the process of it. We have guys that riphil. She aiding the game we have eight officials guys in the box. I would appreciate if we had a face to face conversation. They didn't gruden's challenge was overruled as was a previous challenge. Also in the third quarter when Gruden thought that Pittsburgh receiver juju Smith Schuster stepped out of bounds. I saw the official throw his hat Gruden said that is the mechanics of a man stepping out of bounds. So we challenge. It. I'm not very good at the challenge process. I'm going to try to stay in a good mood tonight, regardless the process left Gruden with just one time out and no more challenges which could have come back to bite him. It didn't. But the process left. The raiders frustrated is in Oakland quarterback not as respected as a Pittsburgh quarterback. And let's not even wonder what would happen. If the football had oddly slipped out of say, Tom Brady's hand way. We already now.
Stephen A.: 'I'm embarrassed by what I'm seeing from the Pittsburgh Steelers
"Me let me to just a little bit allow me to express to you the alarming level of frustration that I on questionably feel at this particular moment in time. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am. That the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up losing this game. I can't even put it into words. Ben Rothlisberger four hundred sixty two yards passing wasted. James connor. He's no Le vian bell. Juju Smith Schuster, thirteen receptions, one hundred and eighty nine yards wasted. For two reasons above all else. Big Ben Rothlisberger leading the league in red zone interceptions. Do another one yesterday was Shelby Harrison defensive lineman getting blocked in the coverage. And ultimately Ben Rothlisberger throwing the ball right to. Now. We can make the argument that it's the freakish interception that Ben Rothlisberger may have ever thrown as he so eloquent it in the aftermath of their twenty four to seventeen loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday. Denver Broncos team. That's now beating the charges in the Steelers in back to back weeks, by the way, we could go that route. All we can state the obvious. If you watched it throw, ladies and gentlemen, it was an interception. No matter what. Whether it was Shelby, all whether it was Roe. I'm sorry. Shelby. Harris. Oh, whether it was Roby who had. Antonio Brown completely covered. I don't know what the hell big. Ben Rothlisberger was thinking throwing that pass made absolutely positively no sense. Whatever you can point to that specific interception. But it was going to get into septic. It was going to get into septic. There is no doubt about that. There's absolutely positively. No doubt about that. Yet despite case keenum only one hundred ninety seven yards. Despite the fact that Denver didn't have the most formidable run a game to speak of. They still ended up winning the game. I mean Lindsay did have one hundred ten yards on fourteen carries. That's almost eight yards per carry. I got it. But the real culprit and all of this was bent. It was turnovers from Connor. It was a drop touchdown pass from Washington. I mean, I'm just looking around right now at the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I can't even express. The level of my frustration. Because you see regardless of how. But thank Pittsburgh secondary looked earlier in the season. They had got things together. They were looking a little bit better. But now, I'm of the monster. They lost that game yesterday. And I said, dammit, they just lost a trip to the AFC championship game. Now. Now, I'm not saying that laser gentlemen, mama's saying that it's a very simple explanation. And you know, what that explanation is? It's the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers now dropped to what is it a fourth seed. Or at least a three seed in the AFC that means Kansas City and New England both ahead of you. That means to get to the AFC championship game. You're going to have to be one of the other one a row, and I don't think they're going to do that. Now had the Steelers and all likelihood possibly fighting for birth to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead stadium against the kids City Chiefs. You know, what if you had home games prior to that one could stand the believe who knows what kind of upset could transpire maybe I'll get lucky. Now, it's no way in hell.
Steelers score 3 touchdowns in 24 seconds
"Steeler nation does out. And so was the over in play last night. We'll watch the beginning of this game. We had three touchdowns in twenty four seconds three touchdowns in a span of twenty four seconds. The panthers. I touched down to the game. Followed up by juju. Smith Schuster seventy five yard touchdown one. Dr one play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Followed up by Cam Newton pick six to put the Steelers up fourteen seven. The Steelers also scored two touchdowns as ban of twenty four seconds later in the game seven touchdowns by seven different players for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And it was that kind of night. It was the start of the game that was really emblematic of both teams. And you thought we would get the strength of both teams to begin with the Panthers opened up their opening drive spread out. Lots of Christian McCaffrey breaking off big runs. The Steelers defense looked noticeably frustrated as they're getting some of these read option looks, but they can't seem to defend in Carolina goes down scores with relative ease. And we thought all right. We're gonna have a ball game. The Steelers on the other side come back instant offense. Exactly who this team is that seventy five yard touchdown pass to juju. Smith Schuster long touchdown passes to end Tonio Brown later in that game. These are all things that are expected in this Pittsburgh offense
"juju smith schuster" Discussed on The Stephen A. Smith Show
"Not immediate relief. Of course, ladies and gentlemen. It is my honor and privilege to have my man sitting right next to me, he is a stall wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. His name is not Antonio Brown, who we know is a stop to do is do juice to what's going on, man, how you doing. I'm doing great how it's good to finally meet you. You know how. How Donald Steelers. And so I could not wait for this conversation, but first of all I wanted to before I even get into some football, you hear of half call and what you talk about that a little bit. Yes, I'm here. You have called duty call Judy. I'm sorry. Yes, yes, yes. And it's a big partnership for me because grow as a kid, huge into video games and I had the opportunity to work with them this off season and even now today, so called you a game where I'm able to connect. You know, friends teammates lot just built that chemistry that you say that I have never met athletes in my life that loved to play video games, football players. I mean, what is as complicated as the game of football is for those of us who don't play by the way it's complicated. We imagined it to be. I know you know yourself. I know you're study, but somehow someway y'all getting those video games. What is it about football players and video games manages the way just to get away. You know, I'll side of football. I mean, yeah. I mean, we play. A ball all day, and it's just one of those things where you know you still to play with your teammates online. So talk and communicate, and I think it's just like silent and the fun out of it. You get out of the honestly. Got you. Juju Smith Schuster right here. Stephen eight ju just of the Pittsburgh Steelers right here was Stephen on ESPN radio and ESPN news. Let's get. Let's get this out the way. First of all, what the hell was going on with the Pittsburgh Steelers this early part of the season one two in one to start up the season. I was losing faith ankle front. I was getting very frustrated. What was going on what you guys at that particular moment in time. I think a lot of is, you know, offense, you know, I think all his independent, you know, you just gotta feed off each other offense. You know, we always play great when we were down. You know, we always play that comeback row as you see this past game a defense, you know, once they once they get going, they know feed off of us who feed off of them. It's just one of those things may like the beginning of the season and trying to figure out, you know, the guys that we had the we had to work with in order to keep moving this season. So yeah, man, there's three, two and one, and you know, we got the Browns upcoming so, and that's why we have today. How much was a distraction that is levian bell. I don't is easy for us to sit on the outside and the soon, but you guys inside that locker room, would all questions being asked about him? What was the? Was that a real distraction yell at the beginning of the season? I mean, honestly, it's not something that we're not lie. I say it wasn't of course the distraction. Of course, it was, you know, one of our key players last year who you who helped us out a lot. And Nali that off until I got friends sending me, whereas I need my fantasy points. You know, they on, you know, he's doing what he's doing. But you know, hopefully he say he comes back this upcoming next week. So now hopefully we get him in the locker room and you don't get around the guys. Again, I ain't gonna lie. I'm wondering how y'all gonna react to his return..

"Eddie states, whether she will get to the American League coming up a little bit later in the hour and he's, you mentioned the dodgers will hand the ball, the Clayton Kershaw in game five, but that isn't necessarily a good thing. Thirty five different pitchers have thrown at least forty career innings in the league championship series kershaw's five point two, four ranks dead last in that group who remind you. You can catch the game on f s one or on ESPN radio. To football. The Pittsburgh Steelers have called for the suspension avant as Bertha CT for the elbow today, head of Antonio Brown in the thrilling game. They played Sunday against the Bengals is a lot more to this story yesterday, adding to it, Ben Rothlisberger said in the moments, following that hit Bertha CT threatened, juju Smith Schuster the other Steelers receiver here the quotes from Ben in the Pittsburgh post gazette quote, he hits a beat, then literally has I'm under center for the next play. He pointed juju and says, you're next, how do you allow that stuff? So let me bring in my football conversation this morning here with Damien Woody and Dominique Foxworth. Do we have an issue? Let's deal with that part of it quickly for the moment here, the notion that perfect after that hit is then yelling, juju Smith, Schuster your next. Do we have an issue with Jude in Burford have a history. He's hit him in the past. But I, I mean, it's always kind of been a part of football. Is that part of your coach, particularly on defenses, you wanna punish guys to make them not wanna go across the middle. Go do certain things. So I'd wild. This is. The league is moving in a different direction. Burke is not from the is not easily going in that direction. The way the league wants to that was the hit last year that juju Smith Schuster had on test. Perfect. So obviously, as you mentioned, there's a beef, there are a lot of people out there that have beef with von perfect. So then he would let me turn to you. Joe Thomas yesterday was on golick and wingo on ESPN radio and said, he thinks perfect should be suspended for the season. What do you think are grew agree? You talking about a guy who's been suspended multiple times for these types of incidences. Okay. The Lee by the implements implementation of the new culture of taking big hits out of the game volunteers burpee doesn't seem to get it and it happened again last week, you know, in the Bengals game where he laid another hit you on the receiver. So the only way to Rimini the type of things, what we're talking about a guy like, you know, Bontes Burfoot or any type player is you have to take them all to feel you can't do about finding them or anything like that. You have to. Take them off to feel so. I mean, obviously with that for two reasons and maybe it's defense offense, but part of it is perfect. Reputation is part of this, but you can watch games and this happens. This is what happens when a guy is if he's not only down, we're all taught to continue to tackle that guy and maybe volunteers unnecessarily winning his head. But we're all taught that. So I don't think it'll be to a play like that. If you watch any game on Sunday, you line trying finish up. Of the doubt. To me, that's my issue with with Bontes Berkeley that a lot of, like you said, a lot of guys, this could be inadvertent type of hit. But as far as volunteers, birth, he has a history of these types of hits and there's a league, you need to eliminate this type of culture out of the game right now. So that's one way to look at it. The other thing is like as a as a leader in the union, this is how we got to the Commissioner discipline issue in the way that it is now is because the players were upset about how they were being perceived as criminals because there was a spate of arrests. And so the players went to the Commissioner and I was on the union then to it was a part of this and we were advocating for more aggressive penalties and penalizing guys before there was a conviction and what you start to give the league that lead way you can't go back while the Commissioner discipline has been in the since as far back as I can remember..

"Levers you can understand why to marry his Thomas who seems to be a lock for one hundred forty targets goes ahead of this group. Juju Smith Schuster Jarvis Landry golden Tate. Larry FitzGerald, Josh Gordon pretty soon. We'll get into Allen Robinson and Brandin cooks going later and CBS back on CBS ADP apologize for mixing it up. Cooks going a lot later on CBS. Then he isn't fantasy. Prose composite ADP, which looks at a bunch of different sites. So it sounds like you guys are heating. The call of the bus call on Brandin cooks. If he's a fourth round, pick anywhere this group. Again, after to marry Thomas, we are late round four and actually into round five with juju Smith Schuster Jarvis Landry golden Tate. Larry FitzGerald. There's no way or getting around five in PR league and Josh Gordon. So to Browns, wide receivers plus Tate, FitzGerald and juju who's your favorite? Dave. My favorite of the ones that you mentioned, I think of the ones you mentioned is going to be Robinson. I, I didn't get to get to him Larry FitzGerald. You haven't gotten to Robbins. He's next. That's fine. You can throw Robinson there. Right? So then I don't think you mentioned the we already talked about digs. I think it's Larry FitzGerald feeling or at a group ahead of this. So it's Gerald FitzGerald, NPR. What about non PR show like this euro Morley's goes. Yep, even not PR. Yeah, I just think that volume is going to be massively in his favor. There's of course bad. Let's take the quarterbacks are better. Let's take a look at where it's jerem what the head after Carson Palmer last year it's better maybe in in our he's been seventh, eleventh and fourth last three years in non PR. He's been tenth sixteenth, and ninth last three years. And that is with nine six and six touchdown. And he's what the nineteenth receiver off the word. Roughly, it's ageism. It is. Fantasy pro sees. Whereas he, he's sixteenth. It's more like nineteenth on CBS juju Smith Schuster played four games without either an Tonio Brown or Martavis Bryant. He was a beast in all four of those games. He had more than eleven fantasy points in non PR eleven or more in all four games. One hundred and fourteen more yards and three of them. He caught a touchdown in three games for there's a lot to like about juju Smith Schuster, but I keep coming back to this and I do like them, but I keep thinking about this. I feel like the way I feel about juju is exactly how I felt about Martavis Bryant here ago and what are the Steelers do they went? And they drafted a wide receiver in the second round juju Smith Schuster and one of the Steelers do this off season. They drafted a wide receiver sixtieth overall two spots. Ahead of where Smith's juicer went the year before. Similarities here. 'cause Martavis was a massive bust. I think there's similarities to the role that James Washington, who's the receiver that you're referencing Martavis and Washington has gotten very good camp reports. Rothlisberger talked him up. They've canoe, he's connected deep, not only within, but he was college teammates with Mason Rudolph who the Steelers also drafted. So those two obviously have chemistry and it's making Washington look, good and camp. I'm wondering if he's going to get that number three role and that this can work both ways for juju Antonio Brown because he's a field stretcher, that defenses are eventually going to have to pay attention to, and he could also take targets away from both of them. I don't think he's a big enough threat to do that to Brown or juju to be honest with you, but it makes me like Rothlisberger even more. I'll tell you that. I think when you look at juju the Martavis Bryant absences, the biggest thing for him because he was fourth on the team and targets last year. There's no way that's going to be the case. Again, he may be second just a matter of how many targets Levy on. Gets so with the jump from, I think in ninety targets probably close to hundred twenty Jews in line to have a very nice if not tremendous the more upside than the other guys this group than than Larry FitzGerald..
Antonio Brown pitches Dez Bryant to the Steelers
"Why? If you're the newer jets, aren't you trying to come to some agreement in some kind of middle ground with Sam Donald on this because that means every other contract that comes to be, you have to come to every other every other contract, but Sam Donald doesn't play every other position he plays the quarterback which is premium change in any way. Now you're seeing more guarantees. And one of the few teams though that have this language in their contract, and this is this happened, Jill votes with the with the chargers chargers as an organization in the NFL our they regard. They're actually picked to win the AFC how the organization regarded around the national football. Everybody says that the charges are one of the worst organizations and football in terms of how they deal with contracts, how they relate to their players. So I don't think the charges are the model for what you wanna do. If you're the New York Jets, this all aside week one who's the starting quarterback for the jets, I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because the jets have three games in ten days. They've got a Monday night game Sunday night game in Thursday night on the road in Cleveland. I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because I think that's a lot for a rookie quarterback to digest. But I think that we'll see Sam Donald sooner rather than later. I think the last time we saw first round draft pick not play at the quarterback position is what he sees and was Aaron Rodgers back in two thousand five. You don't think Josh mccown. Listen, I love Josh mccown, but I think we saw the best of Josh mccown was last year being five and eleven journeyman quarterback for we all agree on that. But teddy Bridgewater we don't know how healthy he is. I mean, three games in ten days is a lot. You almost feel like you throw Josh mccown to the bulls. Let him take a beating then Bridgewater and then eventually late in the season. You get Donald up and going get what you're saying. But Todd Bowles has got to win more than five. Your. Chris, we're making stick around even long. Could Dez Bryant teaming up with Antonio Brown and Pittsburgh AB. Sure. Hope. So that's next on first things. First. Back here with Chris Canty and we are talking Dez Bryant a few days into most NFL training camps. And Brian is still not on a roster while the Browns and Bryant reportedly have mutual interests. Steelers wide receiver. Antonio Brown took to Twitter to recruit Dez. Brown tweeted, come play with me, does Bryant. Let's get the chip, eat greedy, big plates, see better option for Dez Steelers, Browns would go Steelers just because it would seem like if you add to that Brown's receiving group with Josh Gordon Jarvis Landry seems like that would be a combustible mix. So I think I would air on the side of going with a team that's more veteran ball club. They've got a veteran, quarterback, fetch skill position players. They're not going to be relying on this to be a number one or number two option for that matter because they got juju Smith Schuster. So I look at the Steelers situation, say what that probably fits Dez a little bit more than the Cleveland Browns. And plus we know that Ben Rothlisberger. Has been known to pay backyard football a little bit. Being able to add live run the scramble drill pretty much better than anybody in the NFL. I think Dez Bryant would fit that style more so than the Cleveland Browns and what Hugh Jackson wants to do with that offense. I get where you're going and where you come in from. But I think that das- wants to have a great year wherever he goes. He only wants a one year deal, so he wants to put up some type of numbers. So next offseason he can get a big contract in Pittsburgh. I mean, obviously got Antonio Brown. You got juju Smith soocer levian Bill catches a lot of balls like he got one hundred and thirty two targets lash..
