"In when I walked in which they did usually do but I did I did really enjoy this movie was mesmerizing fascinating really interesting I was after it was over it hit me like Aronovski record him for a dream or like clockwork orange like I was I was uncomfortable and creepy and disturbing and unnerved and left me with questions the `ambiguities is good for you know a lot of the things so it definitely stuck with me maybe hop presence and drama actually subliminally amplified your your anxiety I think so I mean clearly none of this hurt the box office people instill came out in droves and made gave it all those records but in a way yes it did having that like I did I remember sitting down and looking around and kind of can people out I remember the same thing I sat in the theater and I looked around and then I looked and it was like that do the loan over there then there I didn't do but I look to my left and go there's the exit I could jump off this this little rail right here and get outside this this bullshit made everyone think about that when they were watching this movie you're sitting down in a theater with your anxiety already p movie just kind of enhanced just now this is starts playing the strings you know what I mean is the question that I have is if they hadn't built this kind of narrative about how this movie could be so dangerous for people who are mentally unstable would it have pulled in nearly as much of an audience I think so I don't know if it's going to do like in the nineties but definitely would have gotten at least seventy million I think it would joker alone I would agree I think of done well but I think I think actually the negative hype increased I anti you bought and I definitely the buzz we talked about in the weeks leading up was more than comic book movie fans the Buzz I went to a ten o'clock showing unafraid and there was probably I'd say at least half the theater was full which is which is pretty good for the movie theater I watch it at on a Friday night which is usually empty to a seven o'clock showing on a Tuesday I would say maybe seventy five percent fall Sunday that's seven and it was it was like eighty percent follow it was a good crowd yes not quite full for me either but but a full so let me let me get into the skin in the movie s boilers Choisir how many times what I'll give this movie credit for is this movie doesn't I mean I guess a little bit at the end but really doesn't do anything to make you go man that jokers a cool character right like heave ledgers a cool character yeah back next cool character what's the flex the Disney and play the last joker Jerry the era Charleena's in the wrong thing I noticed about jared leto joker after seeing this movie I went back and watched his scenes from suicides yeah and for how much the big story about him was like oh he's such a method actor he like got he was so he kept himself alone and he was sending US conduct from Sean Yeah he does a fucking Jim Carey Impressions Jim Guaranteed he's doing Jim Carey as the Ridler as the joker so that's a great point so the point being is I respect that the filmmakers and Joaquin Phoenix aside ago you know what we're not trying to make this guy a hero per se there's nothing like unless you're you are mentally disturbed there's nothing for you to go into that moving go man he's a guy I want to be like he was beat up his entire life he was chained fucking radiator he doesn't know his parents are his mom was schizo far ahead multiple personnel elitist like there's nothing that does this is about a man this isn't about one bill wants to be this isn't about this is about a man that has had a very very sad life yeah this culminated at this point they he's early they literally open the movie with this dude getting the shit kicked out of by adult men this one of the things that's interesting about it is that when he when he finally does do something violent the first time he's violent in the mood he he's violent towards people that were number one trying to fuck with some girl he saved her that are rich asked him there and there were beating them up but he didn't end there were fucking with him who was a mentally disturbed he well he saved her but you didn't really save his conditions distraction for her to be able to take off all right so the point is that and then when he commits the crime nobody knows who committed the crime it could have been any personnel but the fact that there was a clown spark this whole uprising that okay some asshole finally got had enough and took these rich fucks you can do whatever they want and these poor people like rose up now so it's one of those things like okay I can understand that that sentiment but like I don't know if that was that was that in the movie I don't know well that's that's one of the things that think that I think that's the thing that people when I said that earlier I t's earlier that that it could be dangerous like if that was that element of the movie wasn't there wherever as wearing joker mass I think the movie would have been more digestible from people who are looking to be offended or or afraid of white people will doing mass mass murderer whatever it's it's this interesting idea where I think the major outrage of it came from the fact that a lot of people already understand no who and what the joker is as a character it is a psychopathic murderer who just happens to make himself look like a clown while he doesn't so the fact that it seems like a mass amount of people are adopting this clown persona as the symbol of their movement against I don't know whatever became this problem of like oh they're all idolizing the joker that I already have a predetermined idea of right but like in this context of the movie it makes sense because they're going through all this garbage crisis and the rich getting richer and the poor getting Thomas Wayne ah the best guy I think that the most telling part of it is the fact that like the there isn't too much of a movement until after Thomas Wayne makes a statement saying that like all of the poor people who wish they were rich are just clouds as well that everyone adopts this lounge concept is being like look at us we are the clowns that your ignoring I feel like that's a very trump move like Hamas wayne yeah the government's ever wants to beat this he wants to be mayor but he's also telling the city to fuck itself I feel like this movie is like indirectly woke it honestly it it is an interesting idea and the fact that it's it's it's building a narrative that is essentially eat the rich now it is building Thomas Wayne to be this donald trump stand in who gives zero shits about the the poor or about the disenfranchised or those who are less fortunate and it paints the Wayne family in a way we have never seen them yeah media before because we only ever see them through the eyes of nine zero land Orlando had Alfred in there which was fucking crazy I mean even the scene where the the when I was Kinda like shoehorning stuff in the scene where the parents die that's now a new twist where it's not just some random robbery but it's this riot that happens and they get stuck in the middle of the riot and that the and the clown guy just kills he kills them just to kill them and then takes the pearls not in liked he was stealing on which is an anger you'd get a very in Batman if that was the circus well remember this kid you would have to get a Batman that was actually against the rich yeah that's wise parents got hurt again the hate his parents note the problem is that because because bruce is like nine years old he has zero ideas to what the politics of the era or the situation nations were all he sees is some dude who might have been a criminal murdered my parents who take care of me so obviously crime is the problem but then I think that he would have no at some point that things were so bad and he would you know the machinations of behind government he he might but also you know for all we know that moment was so damaging to a young Bruce Wayne he doesn't WanNa know the truth as I've said for years that man is a man who made a promise to nobody at the age of nine carried it out basically think he's trump junior then it's it's the idea that Batman is as crazy as anybody else I would I actually interpreted it a little differently I kinda liked that spin because I think the what would have taught a little Bruce Wayne is that because his parents died a senseless violence it wasn't robbery it was just it was just killing for the killing your for me I interpreted that as his moment ways like I have to stop it this guy's but I'm never going to kill the bill because life is too important to just sensitive senselessly take it away and Bruce would be the only person in that moment and uh for how traumatic it is he may not even remember that the that the killer stated you get what you deserve when he shot his up there then he was telling Alfred that that he he's he's a son of this is a bruce that you you have to remember this just a day earlier was visited by the is guy claiming to be his half brother shrew but I don't know if Bruce would have heard the conversation because you notice that Arthur is very quiet in that moment it's only angry once Alfred's telling him that's bullshit leave yeah that his mom was crazy that was some crazy I'll go on that one man I had so many thoughts let's talk about the laugh the laughing condition which is a real he's got three lack Russian called pseudo bullbar fact yes three laps rugs what are the three laps he's got the one that happens that he can't control yeah he's got the one that he does when he's trying to be like a normal person laugh laugh the same yeah and then he's got the worries actually laughing which is at the very end when he he's with the woman any last apps and she's like what are you laughing at you won't get because you wouldn't get the joke I think laughing I thought his performance walking's performance of that was incredible because you felt that pain that he can't he has the bar he made it uncontrollable cough yeah he did a really good job as he has come out are coughing and kind of choking yeah it looks very common thing in that condition because it is the fact that it is so involuntary yeah she cannot be breathe in in the middle of doing it so you are expelling so much air that you are almost collapsing your throat from it and looked uncomfortable it looked painful aw you really Kinda feel I'll tell you what it was I thought it was an interesting twist on the left I leave it at that it's a thing that feels so fitting a character that it honestly surprises me this is the first time we've seen them go out stepped up to the Mike to do stand up he couldn't even get words out like that you that was pavo is hard to watch I have a very close family member who has something similar they've been suffering with this thing where when they're happy or they're beginning Zayed nervous system walks up their lips started to quiver their eyes flicker they can't really talk and then starts to go away it's similar to epilepsy but it's not so that shit really hit home for me like I could put myself that I get Kinda see what he's going through where the end who hasn't been approached with someone getting a card in New York I remember when I lived in New York there'd always be either they were deaf or blind and they give you this card saying I have this condition I thought that was that was brilliant and the it just did it there's question was this too sympathetic of a character did they play him too sympathetic without any kind of redemption Anthony said it best you don't want be this guy you're like you could see why he's had a hard life you can see why that cracks I was GonNa say like why like societies abandon him and he's kind of like those loaner but at the same time like he's also insane right and he's thinking of things that don't happen that are happening he's kind of like unreliable and his narration aerator those ambiguous moments when you get to that let's talk about that real quick so there's moment in the movie where you don't know if it's really happening or if he's just thinking of and eventually they they they put the cards down and you see it but there's possible moments that are not happening that they haven't revealed us yet also toss it's possible that the.
