Captain won the Pelican and they John also broke a maiden a little bit of an upset. Actually that maiden winner because there were a couple of fancy bred runners in in their back Robertson And and you that it feels like they've got another another nice sprint and filly ringleader. Three for three so I I don't know it just to me. It felt like a a really fun weekend because there there were a lot of steak winning connections that make you feel good. It's good for the game when the middle size. Barnes are winning on Saturdays. It's it's healthy. Can't be the same people all the time lots Boorda obviously to dig into Including including the situation that involves the La- Bama saw positives and penalties and kind of awkward handling and administration Joe Sharp. Well you know My brother Rick racy manager of course we were closely and pain. Joe Plan for our son who was The JERKINS and we had a couple of cops there and he's had a bad trip and then again in the race. The prep that we picked up my brother pick in Maryland at another tough trip and everything came to fruition for us and you know ran a dynamite race to win the Jerkin but going into that race. Thanks There were discussions about giving him a break because he had been in training since early two year old season and so I think it was an easier decision after cap off the great. Like one and the Jerkins who give him the break and my brother fell along with myself steeper net assault Kumon that it was time to give them the break even when just winning a great one The best way to get him. But since I mentioned those stakes at Laurel twelve what a summer todd beattie with victim of lots Tommy Tommy town on the on the east coast interesting. She was third in the safely. Tony tells that story. You got to pick up mount something he would. I asked Tonio Thursday right. Tony told that story before. Leroy Leroy was mad at whoever whoever the Leroy was annoyed at whoever had been riding riding. Whatever and Tony? got a pickup mound in a Like a handicap event. I'm not sure if that was the year. "Part of the morning and then heading later in the day. Hey we went very early and as a result I did not. I didn't have I couldn't write things up. So maybe it might have been just as well because he in the sequence and the way it turned out at fairgrounds in. That'll be a big. That'd be that'd be a big portion of the conversation this morning because because we've got a couple of the principles from the The weekend and I'm mark. CASSIE certainly with enforceable win and I thought not just win but I thought MM stylish win Didn't didn't score out big on a figure scale but the way the way he did it was was notable and I thought the Julian Leper ru being added to the equation of enforceable. It makes us the talk talk to Cassie. He'll join us. Actually late usually talk to cassie in the first hour when he visits but It'll be it'll be in the third hour today a fact he's probably going to be the last guest and I'm anxious for his thoughts because it's your felt like Julian Larue. It didn't change enforceable stylistically per se. But he let him settle and essentially you know just come with his run. As opposed to some of the previous stakes tries where he was being positioned and you know he was he was back but not as far back as he was on Saturday. The lecompte and I I think he benefited from that feels like he is. I don't want to say a one run closer because they got a little bit of tactical speed. I will let cassie flesh that out but the Jack Oxley and enforceable. Cassie huge huge day. It's not just for Cassie for the whole family. And the CASSIE team because mark was down in Florida and of course David Carroll sending finding out the the cassie runners at fairgrounds and there was it was a solid maiden winner as wealth early on the card. Hendy Woods Hendy Woods the the Turf Mile Oh philly and mark meanwhile was down in Florida and set out the pair of live oak runners in the sunshine. Millions Turf March to the arch. Ridden to an absolute perfectly timed and wire knows march to the arch and Kathleen. Yesterday was shaken up. But he's okay Marcellino Pedroza by the way GOING BACK TO NEW ORLEANS Pedroza out six to eight weeks but it appears that Gaffes Leone last report from last night is okay and they run at Gulfstream again today but cassie not only wins the Lecompte doc and wins the sunshine. Millions event march to the arch up in time but at Tampa to. Oh sixty to sixty little philly for Gary Barber. Wins the the Gasparilla so three steak winds for cassie four about as prominent a trio of owners. As is there isn't the game. I sent out a little tweet with pictures of the three winners Jack Oxley Charlotte Weber Gary Barber. And and I think if I'm not mistaken I think I think even that maiden philly that one hendy woods the uncle Mo Philly. She was a price. I think she's stonestreet. So cassie with the prominent owners and for getting getting results Certainly this weekend and I I mentioned cassie family course because norm sent out. Don't blame rocket so the win in the Colonel Bradley and that that's a nice that's a nice score as a very nice performance and F- just turning to that because I wanted to see six to one and don't blame rocket a claim back in the spring fifty thousand and came back now and he won three straight so including up to the the stake started with a couple of starter allowances the one Saratoga and then in September and then a little freshening and brings back this blame. Gelding is six year old and originally A witham product going back with them thoroughbreds. And congratulations nations. We should get the norm. Does big the MR and Mrs Dorm gase big in the news. Actually between the steak wind Saturday hey for norm and Gabby up on the stage up on the pulpit at keeneland doing sales announcements very cool. Very cool you gotta get to you. Know what we have. Norman Gabby on together somebody somebody did you see that one tweet if you follow Somebody said what can't you do and and norm came. Hey back and said she's not great at that some video game that they must play. If I forget which which video game you reference you said she it stinks it. That which I thought was really funny. A kind of a kind of a Ryan Reynolds Blake lively thing going on with Norman. Gabby I love it. I mentioned is the visitors from fairgrounds successes this weekend and enjo sharp is GonNa join us in the first hour. To and not only joe win the Marie Krantz the memorial race for the phillies and mayors on the grass with Quebec the mayor but that three year old allowance blackberry wine with arguably and certainly from fake standpoint ninety four buyer eighty-nine enforceable but a ninety four buyer for blackberry. Wine wine winning that allowance. And we'll talk to JOE ABOUT I. Imagine imagine the arisen star starter in blackberry wine. The big maiden winner and I didn't reach out for Steve Asmussen for today. We'll get maybe the two Steve Tomorrow. But of course finite won the silver bullet day. And congratulations to the. You know the fairly sizable Ownership group that's involved Ron wind chill and Tom Reimann and on Bill Dixon and deb Easter Deb W. going all the way back to the earliest portion of five nights career when she broke her maiden at Saratoga and I remember reached out congratulated Debbie Saratoga. It was when they went to Kentucky downs and she said the going into the stakes sequence. She's now one the racks riches Goldenrod and the silver bullet day. So she's on a three race with streak but deb said that that she she really thought this was a very nice philly. The munnings Munnings Philly Wind Chill home-bred technically a but with other partners involved but it was the other Asmussen in that maiden race that we talked so much about between Marcus and Chad checks. Nader thanks to both of them for a lot of good insights on this card but it was a blowout win for an Asmussen first time starter in that fifth the eighth race and it was the one that we ought to point that out being the half to J. Boys Echo. You're ECO. Town blows out. That field wins. I mean just as easily as he could. And and Joe Talamo the beneficiary at thirteen to one so that was a result that the the win over earner and earn around and well but it was a ninety two vire for ECO town and it might be that earner we'll see that earner may you know may simply I believe you needed The START I mean it was certainly coming in nicely. And it was ECO. Towns Day though Had A couple of bullets and had nice gate works and they. I was surprised that thirteen to one was the the number on ECO town. A specially given the J. Boys Echo has got got some some Bonafides as you know certainly as you know as a precocious type at the very least so of course being by spikes down. I think J. Boys Echo I think is a mine shaft. I think it was a mine shaft. So if that's the case I mean for for J. Boys Echo to be precocious you know being a town out of that mayor the the very nice like oh my echo. Well anyway thirteen to one. You Got Twenty eight bucks back in that spot. So we'll get the Steve Asmussen the other notable performances Bret Calhoun with silver dust. kind of a personal favourite. That was in the Louisiana. and Bobby's wicked one With a big romping performance in that very reduced Kenner. Only Bobby's wicked one Hakkari Hustle missile and do share went post word. And Bobby's wicked one continues on his way. So that was the EH. The top line on what went on a and the weather cooperated was really nice. The the fairgrounds I was pretty much focusing on the fairgrounds action Chen all afternoon and there was plenty of other nice performances and exciting racing. I E that Toboggan mind-control mind-control Greg. SACCO IS GONNA join us in about five minutes. Greg Sacco is three for four on the year. He's picking his spots well. He brought Jovi Evac on Friday and wins and he brings mine control back for their four-year-old debuts and mind-control prevails in that Toboggan. It was absolutely as exciting a race and the complexion of it kept changing. which was what was kind of interesting? I mean it the way Nicodemus was was rallying and meanwhile the on the pace ace on the front end there was any number of of intrigue and involvement seven Horsfield. I field and and it seems th at one point or another that you know everybody put in a bit of a of a run and when they got to wires still having fun had kinda backed out of it he had been setting the face but when they got into deep stretch here came Nicodemus and Sunny Johny Ridge and Sunny Ridge I mean looked kinda mired and let Scotto really went to work on him and meanwhile with us it wasn't there wasn't a crazy pace but my control just stayed on and a- As many times teen and I were still in the car and and as many times I I I was kinda holding up the phone and I was shocked actually came back and it. It didn't look to me like Nicodemus. Said you know. He was involved in the photo. I thought it was Sunny Sunny Ridge on the outside and Mike Control and I thought Mike Control was a pretty clear you even though even though it was only a couple of noses it was pretty clear. The my control had had prevailed but I when Nicodemus went up as the runner up that that surprised me and I guess he he came out of that a little Kalev a little off and we'll get an update this week early from from Linda Rice. I'm Nick Lima's laid it out. So we'll talk to Greg Sacco about his plans and getting mind. Control.

"Steak you Kentucky down the I sprint and you got so competitive there this year she actually was on the you know she didn't make it. I mean those races typically had an overfilled so those steaks and you know this year she ended up three back on a he and we'd we'd planned to run there and that was kind of our goal so when that on that plan fell apart and I was Kinda at the you know little bit and find some house and she's one of those I think she she better get fixed six and a half and on the grass you know especially Chrissy phillies. You're a little bit limited and and your options at that distance so you know yes. She's she's had for sure well my friends Scott Les Pearce from Oklahoma although there they've moved to Kentucky now but they won't forgive me Joe if I if I don't ask you about as mash who I think is going on Friday night probably on the Red Earth yeah he's not an easing Remington he we actually cross center at him and allows racier at Churchill as well but being being that he's Oklahoma bread the person's significantly less for 'cause the KTF money and Churchill so both racism that we all have to to to Remington looks like the software spot on and you know take advantage of his State bread opportunities well a couple of other that he's actually Cassatt a tough fees at a bit of a frustrating year now that I'm looking at it yeah I think he's a I mean it. Just you know he's a little bit of a plus saying as far as just I wanNA always right. There doesn't seem to get by a horse or get caught. He eat and be a little bit of frustrating worse. was that way but you know hopefully wallet in that last race is first off the gelding and Kinda ran really really flat but since then physically I feel like we're starting to notice the effects of of of the castration in a positive way and I think that he's doing this stronger or mentally focused on. He has been so nice nice well a couple of other notes to the season ended at Canterbury last week and you send out your share including being a Minnesota bread maiden winner at the end of the meet the public safety. What do you do? What do you do with Minnesota bread once the Canterbury season's over well you know most of our Minnesota horses are owned by people that are locally in Minnesota and that's that's no exception there my sister company serving in his his dad they actually have pub in turn out for the winter and having Nice for the I yeah that's pretty much what we do with everything from Canada they all get a break after Canterbury and we wait to go there next year? 'cause the state break program. We have to take advantage of. I love it and you mentioned Kentucky downs you. You had a good. You had a good Meat Kentucky down to yeah we did. You know very fortunate down there at the meat that we targeted you know it's one of those deals that we had we had the head of subpar you know in seconds and everybody says the seconds turn into wins which is one of the last things you want to hear and get beat but actually I don't watch that one second circuit came back to win it so you know it was worth it and they they L. We we definitely per structure down. There makes it a lot a lot of fun. You also got a nice three year old and speaking of far-flung all the far flung tracks that you were sending horses to here at the end of the summer tracks Smith who I really had had some affection for go into the Virginia Derby talk about that Oh he was just off the board but the street sense it's cold. It looks like he's okay. He's got a future. You're going towards. We were really high and last year we had to give them some time. On the the first ran a big race big races off the layoff Churchill and then the State Mama you know we were really competent going into the Virginia Derby but you know a victim of got stuck behind a really really slow pace. I mean they were just pedestrian. I WANNA say they went fifty two for the half and he was you know just when he went to run into it everybody else and just just one of those trips that there was just no speed in the race. He's not totally paste dependent. I don't think many horses have overcome the situation relation. He was in the last time so anyway move forward. He's going to run the Project Cup here Saturday Nice UCL so aw that's it we'll see him next excellent excellent all right now joe plenty of good things happening and the fall and between keeneland churchill a two year old. How about the how about the two year old that you haven't seen yet would give us a one of them well well? I've of the ones you have seen I would say that art collector I think might be you know one of the ones to watch the Horse Kentucky downs with cigarettes ooh really moving forward. I mean he just I think he's going to really develop into a top notch source. He's you know been very every shown us all the time and you know you get less you for Bruce Thirties Newark Line of ours but you know seem to get one that can run right away for us. That's always nice absolutely Ed. You'RE GONNA try. You'RE GONNA try to make the juvenile turf or yeah. We're GONNA we're probably going to target the first juvenile turf sprint Santa Sprint ended up being five eighths right in the juvenile turf some miles so I think that he'd be better suited for over five eight so that's what we're going to try and you know rent them in the Bourbon Yup up healing and then earnings absolutely well and Bernardini Colt out of distorted his legacy who was also at one that was bruce that was he had Barbara Mitchell had that she actually ran. I think absolutely absolutely the story Jimmer mayor. I love it. Well Joe a lot of good. Things is obviously happening and you. You snuck a pork chop past the bloodhounds on Saturday night. Well thank you. I appreciate it joe sharp sharp everybody and lady at Tea WanNa cost the on the front and and boy never looked back and the widow from I mean just absolute absolute top level performance wits by two and really was never never threatened and I love the way Acosta off the turn gave that burst and everybody it's thrown into panic mode and it's just too late a couple of horses started a you know try to rally Irish mischief most notably and you know we talked about last week with the scully but lady. TNT and forgotten on the board at thirty seven to one pays seventy six eighty it was actually the purple Martin Gazebos the boys race I think she ran into the Dixie Belle and then the purple Martin and the Purple Martin break even she just ran into a buzzsaw what she's supposed to do behind break even rocketry starlet bells the one she this Philly has run one bad race in our old career and a that was the also by`dys where you know she was being asked a lot to go to turns in off of off of some sprint races the including her maiden wedded allowance win so put a line through that and this this filling never should have been that price crazy it. It's been a crazy fast two hours and forty-five minutes. Let's take the last break and instead of a guest for the last ten minutes. I'm going to do some housecleaning because of course the keeneland sale wrapped up just a little under last year but a dynamite sale of course from all measurements and what else we got this lady will tell you about the maybe some some venues that we haven't had a chance to talk about including. I never got the John Perrino today. I was supposed to have John so we'll tear it over tomorrow because killybegs captain who has been terrific all year wins the de Francis Dash Eric can't sell went down there good for him can't sell picks up a great steak win and we'll talk to Graham motion tomorrow Graham. I told you it was well positioned going into that Laurel Card three witters. He did get put up any neely gets taken down another steak unbelievable second in what in four weeks five weeks the one in Canada he got taken down out of the Bald Eagle Derby win and it was really I don't so now the horse we talked about with at each Jay's solitude okay yes came over in fact that came over on the horse that I that I picked and wanted to bet at a at a nice price. The that horse of Bakers Zonda the race talked about that had some really interesting prices clinical data for critical data ended up scratching out of there but Zonda was on the lead and was starting to tire and j solitude did kind of come over and Pinch Zonda who you know kinda clipped heels and check badly but the Eh that's tough. That's tough take down so one of the one of the interesting results of the weekend will we'll give you some more. I told you about Kafi. We'll get Brad Cox Cox I think one three he won that weathervane with meadow dance Jimmy another Jimmy Creed winner to go along with King Jack and and what else did Brad Win Okefenokee. Sem Poorest Kafi and and he got put up right that he put up in the bill. Oh Grandma got put up. Oh Matrix from that matrix the win yesterday in the Ashley Cole for for Marshall Graham and the Tenth Strike and he was a price Marshall must not have sent it in Marshall not have taken the rubber bands off. Let's take a quick break. We'll come right back and we'll hit some of these these highlights because otherwise I know I don't know what happens. It just gets lost in the shuffle. We got a big weekend add back after this at the race the with Steve Fake on Sirius Xm radio E R s sports for digital edition your ultimate weekly bending guide published by.

We hope that this deal goes down with Tampa where they're gonNA play half the season in Tampa half at the season in Montreal unbelievable Joe Sharp standing by and I've talked this morning about horses that were crazily easily under bet and certainly at thirty seven the One lady and how she slipped through the cracks. I do not know because the races is Joe that she ran at oaklawn. This winter absolutely were a fit and I I guess it just happens. people focus on on other horses good morning congratulations to you and the deal words. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. She had no she I thought she should you've got a little more respect at the windows but you know from my end. That doesn't really matter that much so I was I was glad that some people have food and aw supportive so all you have to do was take notice of the fact that she ran that race going going back to the winter second off the layoff you you started the season in the letellier. Eh started the season. It was still December of her two year old year but what that that you know it's the winter at fair grounds and then second off the layoff she ran that terrific race in the dixie bowel and yes yes she was second but she ran into a couple really from December on she was running into some very phillies like rain tree starlet and bells the one and break even. Was it a requirement that she beat everybody you know she you know that's Scott. I actually don't work you don't have that kind of after we hooked into some of those kind of came up with a plan to target this actually talked this race in the fall. WE PLAN ON TALKING folks at Charlestown. Since it's a or may we started talking about it so a freshener and gave her the one started Ellis and then you know just worked out we thought with her speed you know going seventy to Charlestown she'd be really really cancer. I think she was able to see kind of it feel behind her see him coming and kept her honest. You know talk about that because the blinkers off the second off the layoff in the blinkers off and and also the the oddity of a of a seven furlong race around two turns what went into picking this race out I mean obviously it's graded and it's real money three hundred thousand but there were going to be some things and not every horse goes to Charlestown and takes to that surface while I'm Charlesetta originally and grew up. I mean all it takes a certain FORESTA. She definitely seemed like she was going to be for the course over there. and like you said head she was host of California Virat. She saw her she. She dug back in in a Gallup out so we think blinkers off that little don't seem to seem to help yesterday Saturday so I know she say we we just wanted to go into you know fresh philly and we did. She was told you know Jd. I thought you know over there. It also can also be very helpful. We've had a change and I know you're GONNA walk down unbelievable and talking about WanNa on a cost that you know wins share and as for a while a and I'm just looking at you guys not not not just some success. you guys have holy cow. You've been four for five going into this with him over the last two years with a three dollars thirty two cent. Roi Right that's going to be sky high now unbelievable actually so now together your five year five six together Yeah No. He's you like said he's he's in track. It's just good good good writer and you know done unbelievable and I want to check there hasn't been I don't know if my man Nick Tamra is doing the figs for buyer at the Charlestown but the FIG had not come up even as late as this morning so I I am curious serious what what had gotten I didn't really get a chance that compared to the other the other seven eighths races and let me see if it let's see if it's popped w eighty seven hundred eighty seven thousand respectable number for she said that in my opinion that was one including best efforts obviously so you know we're looking. We're looking forward to have some confidence again. I mean she was real competent. Last fall aw you know rent some big races chosen Churchill and you know I think she's she's back now where you know where she was then and and a little more maturity hopefully going to bigger and better things what what do you do now from from this spot you know she's actually cheat on her way back today with with the others and we're senator the hyperbaric chamber for a few days and then you know I don't know if we're GonNa Scott and talk about it and that's GonNa come up with a plan and she likes. She likes it at Churchill she but she likes you know she likes a little bit time. Gino Kinda enjoy the last Alex action just yet but she's. He's a she's a Justin Philip. She's out of a Salt Lake Maher that has had like twenty five foals. It's this that's unbelievable. This mirrors gotta be this mayor's. GotTa be twenty three twenty four years old and she's still throwing them. She has a full. There's is a full brother who wanted I asking well if they like they. She's I mean that's a one of the faster phillies I've I've been around as far as you know just Scott picked her out at the fail. We were together pick ups train sale and she was fast then and she you know she's stretch that out. She's just you know just just looks at very very fast and races. Who has this horse? The brother is Eric Johnson of of the Avalanche Doug O'Neill. That's scoring to how about that. How about that? They'd won the won back. Got Santa Anita in June was gotta see the hasn't had any workouts though so he's on the I think he's on the Shelf d by Justin Phillip the full older brother Okay Yeah and there's a there's a yearling by Gio Ponti Philly Good family unbelievable and she those remember some names she had that that lemon drop kid philly sweet hope who was a was a nice stay course and going way back her first horse to make her first she's had Oh my God you Joe. Do you realize she's had one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen she had sixteen foles one one Colt fifteen phillies. That's crazy. I don't think I've ever seen that with that many projects that is done by got acids. I'm going to give this to sit Fernando and let him let him play with that. You mentioned the Scott Talk about the the two year old in training sale purchase and she was she she fetch edged three thirty five. Well you know he got it kept his sources out of the McAdams some out there so he'd watched train all all winter and you know just really really liked her and you know basically headed. I on moment to buy I I think we definitely definitely had to swing a little bit for you know pretty high specially for Justin Phillip and you know but she's I'm glad she's yes you know rewarded him for for being a believer in being patient or you know there's Scott never dealt with great people trained for and just they were there. It was him seem have that kind of good luck and have that much fun they had they had a lot of fun. Well and you know the we see their name. We see the Dilworth name on a lot of a lot of sail on a lot of buyer lines mostly mostly two year old in training. Do they do much action to my knowledge. No To my knowledge does mostly mostly children channel but as far as song goes but you know I'm not involved really pushing since you were very sales in seems to originally buy a lot of yearlings well in addition you mentioned you mentioned the lady t and t was coming back from Charlestown you you also ran in the Dickie Moore the one of the other more or less the CO feature and you also set out classy the Act it's a nice second the pink ribbon you all you know she won't read and we're still trying to get that phillies talk about somebody that took some tough competition competition over the years she's. She's just running hard out. you know she's still actually not a fake twitter so for you know we're trying to put that notch in their belt uh to carry her down the line and when she when she goes to be Aaron has some more residual just going to get steaks when it'll be big four so we've been just the door but we'll get it done. She ran great and came out of it did so we were proud of I sa- you also you know and you've actually cross entered lady t and T in in the was it was at the weather Vane you pick the right spot obviously when it comes to money and and and the grated rated type but you sent she's all skeet who I certainly you bet here and there she ran in that sense of lady in the turf sprint. She's had a tough year yeah. She's got a tough year. You know she's Kentucky. Downs that Philly so we kind of basically prepared or ready for that the steak you Kentucky down the I sprint and you got so competitive there this year she actually was on the you know she didn't make it. I mean those races typically had an overfilled so those steaks and you know this year she ended up three back on a he and we'd we'd planned to run there and that was kind of our goal so when that.

"We're back at the reasons coming up on eleven o'clock another hour suspense expensive of Joe Sharp and a little bit sets out Charlestown oaks winner but right now Larry Jones joins us and all he does this is set out oaks winners and then three year old billy type of a winners it pick your favorite. Let's see let's see who's everybody's favorite. You can pick and choose. I'm a chatterbox proud. Spell Agra believe you can joyful victory lovely lovely. Maria island sand eight bells who else who am I forgetting Larry One of my favorites wildcat. NO CATCH BETTY BE. It's unbelievable congratulations. Thank you very much appreciate it. We we've been very fortunate that with the three year old fillies. La They just yeah they've been good to me and this this Philly that has you know has a bandwagon street ban. Dan There are a lot of people that have enjoyed her. You know as the year's gone on and this was a situation where it really felt like she was going join to get a setup and mile and a sixteenth talk a little bit about the preparations for this spot Larry and what the thoughts were and and where you you and Sophie had your heads well. They you know we we we had the mile and a quarter race enter and Saratoga and with the Alabama Emma so we we felt like our fitness was good and I guess that that longer raised probably as tolerant to relax a little bit. She didn't know how far we may be going so so when the race started you know he took a little hold and we drop back to a laugh opposition that she has never been in any race but we pretty well canoe or expected a rather fast pace and it seemed like all the other eleven horses wanted to be part of that fast pace so it left it does back there just to buy time and waiting to go and and and Sophie was so good to understand and know what was going on she always has it has a plan a and plan B. and and sometimes the plan C. But I think we dropped a lot farther down listed them because I don't think she thought she was going to be last early and I heard you. I heard you say I think either to Keeton or orb. It might have been the Dave Greg that you were a little unnerved by how far back she was early and especially you know especially when they were making the turn. It seemed like she was going to be left with a lot work to do well. It really was and you know when when you have the horse in there it's hard to focus on the whole field because I'm watching what we're doing and and needless to say I'm watching way back in the back so I really didn't know how fast the front ones were looking like. They were running but when I hard cervetti empress was not on the lead at that bonkers she was when she got underway the first time I thought man they have got to be booking from here and because she doesn't get buying early Barry off and so we felt good in the announcer before they posted anytime at already talked about how fast they were running on the front so we just felt like okay we we. We've got our shot. We've got set out. Let's just hope we're good enough to close his ground and and Sophie didn't save all to be made up at one time she let her start picking up down the backside and sources started rating little and every all the other Dr Allies in. Hey we're running fast. Then Sophie was letting her bay we'll pick up horses and go by so sophie did Great Cain can't say enough for her she she read there's race very well and and and acted accordingly and the Philly ran well so it was just a good day for the Jones seen in a big way and you know the sophie doyle part of the equation another story line really Larry that that you're involved in because you've been so oh generous with female writers and giving them an opportunity at the highest level and that's a Alan Jerkin served famous for that as well. I mean that that to me is is part of the legacy that you're writing for yourself. Well thank you you and to be associated with Jerkins. What a compliment? That is but we've been very fortunate. You Know Rosie road more. She was the first one to win the Kentucky Oaks and that was for us but yeah Sophie is fit this philly extremely well. It didn't take me but a couple of works to realize hey. This is a this is a match here yeah so now it's very good. I'm I'm so proud. Sophie has taken such an interest in or so peel dry five hours from Chicago to Churchill has to worker and so how dedicated she has been to this and to our program so I can't say enough for her sure It's just like I said I it's worked very well and with me getting a big part of his oars. It really meant a lot because I'm always expecting the wheels fall down when I told him I said Governor Jones at owned his orange going into until you not felt really good going in the race but but I know with me owning a big part of it I was expecting to watch wheel well. You've mentioned you mentioned very Jones and he had a good weekend as did this. Dan who had a maiden winner Barry home-bred out of silver reunion win Friday at Belmont Ed I asking and of course he is he in Saudi Arabia. The horse has moved as Audie Arabia's. That's what I thought that's what I thought. Obviously you a Minstrel who trained who was had a very brief career Korea right she didn't she didn't have more than a half. A dozen starts thanks she only made maybe even four starts but there's Philly could run a lot and and so therefore we hung on to her and and I started asking how am I what am I doing however this bill ears made it it all worthwhile and I have a full sister Dr do your old that is I've got a little excited as well unbelievable and talk about Ray Francis to cope with you sending all right it's been I was part of the very first horse I ever ran in the breeders got back in two thousand Alson and to and when they breeders cup within Chicago they own the Philly name rubies reception and he was part of that partnership and so we've been together now for seventeen years what a great guy is just the the perfect partner and and actually he owned owned street menstrual the mother of this with that same partnership that own groupies reception and when it comes time to divide it up I bought the other partners partner's vote them out and so we kept her and right now. I'm Kinda glad we did yes. It's but I've been working with ray for a long time. Yeah that is nice and then of course there's the people that that have come in on on the Horse Medallion and the my Ray Hort might resource source group that you know the new micro share concept talk about the the groups that bought in well the medallion people we have done benches this is with them in the past and so there are great outfit work with they used by a minority share and and just Kinda let us run it and and help us out financially on it and hopefully we have fun Ainsley This my racehorse dot com is the first time that that we have been involved with them. In Asia called the micro shares it is to let a Lotta people own a portion of of a racehorse and I think apparently aren't they must do this and other countries words a very popular thing or a huge majority of the population actually owns a portion of a racehorse so it gets a lot of people involved and I know I heard one fellows they will his daughter got him involved and she wanted to do it but it brings families together. It just brings a lot of stuff together and we're tickled to death to have them on board. It seems like I need a new member of it at every race but I'm glad it's doing well they. They're very involved on the Internet. Where did they seemed like they know as much about our horses as I do? being there author so no I it's concepts. That's GonNa apparently catch on this. This might be a very popular thing another five ten years well the way way already I mean to to be involved in a grade one win like this in really their their first full year of operation and they were waiting for. I know that they had they. They needed government. They needed SEC approval or or you know there was some there was some element into it that you know required a fiduciary approval and once they got it the swung into action and you could see just how thrilled everybody everybody that was on an was with this win and I've just adding up Larry a you've now trained. This is your nine. Thank millionaire. Wow that's a lot of it a lot billion dollar small to have the small string that we do it. We're very blessed because you know we have less than forty horses in training. We're not the not the big outfit that carries two hundred horses so yeah we we run somewhere between thirty and forty horses now the Max and so this this is very good. It's a very very very satisfactory for us. Yeah well and breeding your own breeding your own great. One winter to meet is a part of the the satisfaction and and you know I went through that list of of oaks type winners and the stuff is just piling up Castilian fairgrounds Oaks Indiana oaks for this philly. I have a chatterbox a whole bunch even as mayor to including Adele Cap but lovely Maria Kentucky Oaks and proud spell of course Chatterbox WanNa Castilian I forgot that actually unbelievable believable and Ashland with Lovely Maria just picking out the how `bout how `bout co- cassat WanNa Monmouth oaks bright joyful victory and believe you can of course another oaks winner with Kentucky Oaks and Fairground Oaks Eh on and on I mean it's it's really it's pretty it's pretty remarkable a talk about going after the distaff with this philly well you know it was a win in your in so apparently we will be going to Santa Anita and The all the expenses are paid so glad to show up and and and the phillies maturing well you know she's got a huge task at midnight been Su water water good horse she is and there's a lot of good older fillies to now have to match up with hopefully our Philly is is maturing I do I do know her number getting better scenes of the every race now so if we can keep her off the bounce and bounce back factor that has been a problem for her and me getting together on maybe getting that stop but hopefully hopefully we will be good and so yeah the now we're we're looking forward to it like it's hard for three year olds to match up with older horses on most occasions but we'll go out and give it our best this is a big lanky philly she like she has really Kinda. Maturing physically noun getting a lot of muscle tour that match up with that big frame she had so hopefully will go and and at least put only good program and be competitive with as many with as many live forces as you've gone onto breeders cups with looking for that breakthrough Breeders Cup win proud spell as second in the juvenile fillies Spun Ecorse second in his classic classic right well. We've been very fortunate and we felt like we had a really good year. The year that Avenue Grace was there if I the staff but we wound up running in the classic Mister border wanted to run there and it was not the wrong decision. We didn't get a great trip yeah but she had already beat the boys before so I it wasn't necessarily the wrong decision however we had just beat royal melted by eight lengths to raise from four and the way she won the distaff. It's like man. I wish I was there so but now we've been looking looking for your stuff way and that would be nice to uh to get to say and so it's hopefully hopefully we can go and get another shot here. Well that'll come. I mean ah with the consistency that you know you're showing and with the kinds of horses you get your hands on speaking a witch. How active were were were you in the clients at Keeneland we did well the only the only person I went to represented the sale was metric reporter for Fox Hill Farm but we came out of there with around a dozen horses so hopefully hopefully we're going to have maybe another Omaha beach in there like we got the year before when I went and picked for him so we're coming out of there with some good stuff you gotta get you gotta get somebody to shuffle the the cards and the Omaha beach comes your way and then something then Richard gets something else? That's it picked there Larry Data curiosity what first crop sires you've you've got a very good I for a young what what first crop physicals impressed you well. You know there's a we we wound up we we did buy frosted and and we also bought a Nyquist and so the the two that I gotta both of them are really like so they they probably were the Vegas on right now thinking off the top of my head that we got off the first crop czar. I did see some Ryan happy's we like. We wasn't fortunate enough to get one but run. Happy looked well and so now we are there some some awful I sources out there and and I I'm sure this crop these are Ed frosted with the with their race record in their pedigree. They're they're bound to throw something are those phillies or calls or or what have each we I know the Nyquist Colt and I'm thinking the frosted maybe wasn't.

"But now these first three cards at Oaklawn, really attractive, and of course, the outlandish per structure seventy seven thousand dollar maiden races. And there's a few of those on the card on Friday got Phillies. Three year olds go in short. You've got the those are that's the fourth race. Then you've got. Boys going. As she got those two divisions. I mentioned that fact is a funny thing I'm glad I'm glad that came up. Again. I mentioned it to you yesterday about the Komi. Tay the spikes town sisters Munnings sisters that the dams for. Chuck VIP gay. I got a remind myself to bring it up with sid later. I texted him about it. But in addition to those two divisions. There's also three year old boys going mile and a sixteenth in the nightcap, and this, and I guess has potential to feed into the southwest. Joe sharp has got a two one favourite proud nation in there. So we'll look forward to probably talk, Oaklawn. Kickoff particularly tomorrow and then into the weekend. We'll see what what we're Ed is. What the roses schedule is. And then Sam Houston for Sunday. So the two. The two new faces on your on your wagering menus going forward. Then of course, diving into the Gulfstream card for Saturday, and there's a whole bunch of of treats in store for you..

"And I think that's made her much more effective. She posted back-to-back wins. It goes street park west and that Trump co park oaks thought radius like when she was making her move off the Terni he geared are right into traffic. You know, she still only gets beat three Lance in. Horta in and out trip. She's got a chance to mown down on the outside of mar at least run a big race hit the board at double digit. No, that's the that's the fresh opinion fresh approach to it and an alternative idea. I like it. All right. And then my final one for you. Their grounds rates number nine tomorrow. It. They one mile optional claiming Atlanta's ought claimer on the turf. And there is plenty of speed signed on in this rate. Number two cardinal coach MAC is tend to one for Joe sharp and its sources in all three storm. You know, kept some pretty good company. Not that that was a pretty nice little allowance field last time ki-mun, and he had a trouble trip that day. And I you know, he shows a couple of sharp works in advance of this gets an Adam jock switched, Adam the ships. And I think cardinal coach MAC can mow the horses down from off the pace and race non fairgrounds. Very good. That's it. That's the well we while. I got you here a couple of minutes, and I want to mention that. I didn't get to the laurel stuff tomorrow. And I did want to at least alert people for those that haven't really we'll get a chance to look at PP's until tonight. You've got four stakes at at laurel got the what a summer. That's the Phillies in mayors. Go and short and that nice late night. Pow we talked to heavier contrarius last year when she jumped up and won the the Charlestown oaks. Well, she's one two more times since and here's a here's a Philly James that I I don't think anybody knows anything about. And she's looking for I think her eighth win in a row. She may be she may be the lease known. Streaking Philly in the in the not just Philly, but horse of any sex. She might be the most under appreciated horse operating in North America. Yeah..

"He is your eight to five morning line favor for Brad, Cox and floral giroux at one point this horse was undefeated on the turf, and then they stepped off into graded stakes competition, and he is just one for his last two. I last seven one of those who wins did come in that wise. Dan, a great to over the course of Churchill areas. Three for three. Yeah. He's been the hype horse all week long. Churchill Downs is putting him in the marquee. You know, he certainly formidable. He's got good chance to win. I I like team colors. They don't call Joe sharp for nothing. I mean, this horse it really turned around since Jochen his name. Yes. I know that athlete the aptly named Joe sharp. This is getting six pounds for Mr. misunderstood. And I think he might be a better horse at least now. So he's he's my top pick. Now that I'm pretty sure this race will go on the turf, it's it's a actually quite a pretty day here in Kentucky. It's cold tonight. It's gonna go back to the thirties. But there's no, no rain around. Hasn't hasn't rained all day. We have some melting snow behind my house. It looked like a lake from the melting snow. But anyway, I think team colors has a big chance in here. He would be my my top pick. He's going to be much better price than Mr. misunderstood. He's a fantastic price on morning lonnie's, twelve to one of them was ridiculous. We'll never be twelve. Yeah. Now big pricey key. He reached out and crabs crops in the very late stages of three other men down at Keeneland back on October twelfth as I stocked for Joe Shaw off the claim, I'm a little surprised. You didn't go to the sandy lane. Gold coupling digs a little surprised. They didn't get mentioned from you. I love I love him. He's he's the only horse that I've seen win in three different countries. So he has a spot in my heart for the rest of his life..

"Time Ricky down if you're a defensive and get your hands up and get yourself a back down zone. Now, here's the forty Niners color commentator with Gary and Larry on Cayenne. Before we say a loaded. Tim, Cody just clear this up, maybe Tim even played when Tim was Mr. Santa Clara valley. Maybe he knew this guy. Go ahead. I I was I turned out. I was correct on Joe Charbonneau. That's right. We had a caller call in say grew up in Santa Clara. And he played college ball west valley in Saratoga. All right. If you had been wrong. Would you interrupt? The Tim Ryan interview to would you, you know, as a would you interrupt the beginning of Tim Ryan to tell us a you were wrong. What do you think? Tim, do you do you? Remember when you were growing up, and you were the king of the Santa Clara valley member Joe Charbonneau. Joe sharp Joe? Before your time before I do not remember Joe sharp. All right. What did you say west valley? Yeah. The callers say went to west valley. Santa Clarita had Larry found something yesterday was one hit wonder yesterday was national one hit wonder days. We're thrown around one hit wonders guy, and this guy this guy played on the Cleveland Indians in just had one year where it's great. Hey, let's get right down to the bottom line. You played on teams where I'm sure you you lost your quarterback, and obviously professional athletes. You don't make it to that level. If he ever just pack it in, but mentally does it take you awhile to say, okay. We've we've just gotta finish the strongest we can here. Yeah. I may never happened to me in the NFL. I mean, it was palm dock. It was horrible. I mostly our ball. And then, you know, things aren't going good. It was Tom. It did happen in college though, my senior year, and we had a great year my junior year loss to Notre Dame. Basically in the national championship game. Tony rice in the boys down policy teams ten and so then the next year we come back, and we got a great roster, man. And we're ready to go. Rodney Pete just graduated Pat O'Hara who played forever in the arena league. And I think he was even waterboy back in the day. Now, the quarterbacks coach of the Tennessee titans all set to go with him big big time, recruit blue Chipper, and I want to say it was three or four days. Before training camp down in Irvine and in practice, he was rolling out in one of our outside. Backers took his knee up. Louis ACL blew everything and we are a week away from the opener and Todd marina vich stepped in as a redshirt freshman, and it was a bit of a struggle in the beginning. I think we lost Illinois in the opener. And then you've got one choice man, you either you either find some mental toughness and figured out how to fight through the adversity or you walk around with a black cloud over your head for the rest of the season. And most guys I know in a locker rooms and big time college locker rooms. That's you really got no choice. That's not an option went on to have great year when the Rose Bowl it all worked out. This is a different animal. Yeah. I will say, and I know it was a sick feeling when it happened and it's been hard to swallow since it happened. And it's going to continue to be back on the field today. CJ we'll be at the helm and guys have got to move on. I think for the fans, and I feel unbelievably bad for Jimmy first team mates for ownership for the parents where everybody for all of us. But I would just say this don't lose hope, and I don't know what the numbers are. And I will not exceed anything in terms of what was going to happen that this team this year when they played the full sixteen schedule whistle. Jimmy at the helm for for all sixteen. Three-star defense that still clearly got some soft spots. And Larry, you know, the percents wanna three teams get into the playoffs in reality. And I try to look at things positive. Gary is is. You know, you probably losing Jimi for thirteen games of much-needed development. No question. There will be a benefit or to to sit back and watch. And and take all the mental. And it's a setback. No question about that. But in reality, I don't think it was like, you know, team and fan expectations despite the five zero finished last year, quite like, it is a for example, the Minnesota Vikings with with Kirk cousins their team their fans, and they've all said it's Super Bowl or bust. I don't think those were the expectations here albeit always big expectations for the forty nine. So all choose to uh gonna take it as wisely as I can cause you could sit here and drive yourself. Crazy just for the record. You said one in three is one in to rally. He says if they didn't want people to think like humans already predicting loss, Tim go ahead. No, I can just take a quick aside thing that we get back to the forty nine. I didn't know you played with marina vich is did you see those early days? This poor kid is going to have some problems his father is made him. So. One dimensional that. You know life is going to catch up to him. Yeah. I didn't think like that. I mean, the problem was is everything was his dad made them one dimensional. But he was about as multidimensional is anybody I ever met. He was a great team made a great guy. Clearly had some issues, you know. And I remember as his recruiting trip to to USC, and I think I must have been a sophomore then. So he came in my junior year and first time, I see this guy in malls. I knew about the RoboCop we'd rather than the robo QB we read about in the in Sports Illustrated, and I I am ICM. He's holding a glass of Jack Daniels on the rocks and smoking a cigarette. I like this guy my kind of quarterback. Rid of. And he was a great human being is a great human being obviously had his challenges. But I did not forecast. What? No, I didn't. You know, what do you think happened to them? Then. Chemical dependency obvious. We all got family members that have had issues with drugs or alcohol or or other issues. So I mean, I think that's been well documented with with Todd. And there's a lot of great human beings with great hearts that bit get hooked, man. And we all we all know pods. And the only reason I bring that up. I don't want people jumping me here. What what I meant was for for all of us who when you're raising your kids, you restrict them member. No mcdonald's. He had all this where he just straight narrow. And then when he got that's on American. No. I just I think the word is rebel. That's not going to say when he got a away from the folks so to speak. That's that's when he started. Then. I don't I don't know. But I do know that kids rebel. And I know he's got a great relationship with Mark now, and they've done a lot of work together. At the end of the day. It's all turned out. Okay. Yeah. Now, it's a it's, you know, don't push your kid too hard. Don't don't hold them. Too tight. Hey, you know, there's a lot of things we can learn living vicariously through the Marin vich is Marvin Todd. We're trying to Ryan on the guest line down the Jimmy thinks sucks. Who knows how thirds gonna do? I have confidence in Beth third, but he's not Jimmy. And we all know that. But let's talk about something that has zero to do with that the forty Niners. According to pro football, focus have missed forty three tackles most in the league so seventeen to twenty in this last game against Kansas City, the film showed it, but the most disturbing thing is fostering, Warner combined to have ten those guys are the raiders by by comparison. I get three missed tackles against Miami. I mean, what would you do if you're solid to try to solve? I mean, they look like it's game one of the preseason in all three of the opening game so far. Yeah. I. A couple of things number one Ruben appeared to be rusty. And I haven't watched the game tape yet. I'm I'll pick it up today when I get over there. But he appeared to be rusty early in the game. And I you know, I I would just say that you look at the speed of Kansas City across the board. And and how they run so much, and I talked about it going into the game and just the variety of scheme and all the different types of plays and gadget plays and misdirection plays. And it looks like it's going this way. And it's going that way. And then you've got that that gunslinger at the helm who's Threadneedle, it's a big challenge. So I think I look to me like guys were just out of position. And there is we're going we're Kansas City wanted him to that creates bad angle angles. And then when you compound now with all the speed to Kansas City got has than than that, you know, for that game that looked like there was why there was so many now in the big picture things. I would have guys wrap up more in practice. I really wouldn't. I know you don't want to get guys hurt. But when your defense is out there, and and all teams, do it. And I don't know how many other teams practice for the last three or four years, but I used to see this. When I go around the league doing games and we'd end up at. Facilities in getting ready for the game in the production meetings and stuff and going to practices so many guys back in the secondary. When the scout teams running out and they get through the line. They just run up and dip shoulder and run by the guy like I had a. Well, I think you need to run up at full speed get yourself in position like if you're gonna make a tackle. And then literally not tackle him. But thought him up and wrap him wrapped him that. You've got him and let him go just don't assume because you ran by dipped your shoulder you. That the times translates over to the games. Wrapping? And I mean, how many times have we seen this year guys diving with the shoulder? That's what it looks like in practice around the league when you got guys flying up from the secondary. And I don't know why they don't want everybody to get in on the action. Do they want the running back to be able to run through without getting hurt? He's a scout team running back. He's on your practice squad. My my advice would just be thud rap then let them go. But make sure you have Tim. I in one thing headline that came up this morning that I wanted to ask about one was, you know, Carolina's wide receiver. They x nine or Torrey Smith. He wants the Panthers who have had some injuries to north series on the I R now with a concussion their safety. He wants to see their pay the Panthers with now goes on air creed who obviously kneeled with Nick in two thousand sixteen and his now can't get a gig. Just gig. I don't know exactly. What's happening there? I haven't followed it too much. Football valuation. Market value for does it does it jive with what he thinks. He's work. Well, what what's your football valuation of where he is as a player how good of a football player is he he was a first round pick. You know, I to me he's a tremendous guy. But he he's not the hitter that he he doesn't hit like he did his rookie year to void the concussions. And he's not a does not the coverage player that you that you would want is he just as his skills eroded, or do you think that there's a chance that he just is asking for too much? What do you think's going on there? I don't I don't know because I'm not in his head. I think you said it his first year and and with that big body getting off the bus you send him off. I I mean, the guy physically it's incredibly good, very very talented, very small the things that you said and we've had Knockin people. And when you gotta fly up there in the run as a as a strong safety, or are you gotta get up there in the box of the ads really a linebacker and some of the nickel stuff and they're doing gun runs. You got to be willing to really stick your face in there. And it appeared to me that that wasn't the same guy that after is first couple years with concussion issues understand. So so I think he's a really good football player. I don't think is skills have eroded. I know he's had you know, the the biceps triceps and at an ankle or whatever, but he could play in this league..
