"We're running behind them, try and stop it. I almost feel like that's the way to go. 'cause I even if the jets know that's coming, unless they, you know, bump Quinn Wilson out, where he's on the outside shoulder of the guard. I don't know that they have the personal to stop that. Yeah. I mean, that's really the only place that they have to avoid running the footballs right. I quit and Williams, right? I mean, everywhere else it seems pretty vulnerable for the jets. I hope that they don't try to just run smash mouths because there should be plays in the passing game that will let's say that that's the only play they have to run, but I'm saying like, I think in week one against Miami, they fell a little bit into a trap of all we have these two tight ends that can block. We're going to put these two guys out at the end of the line and just run behind a four man wall, right? And that in theory is makes sense because you have you have four guys wide there that you can create a wall with, meaning four from center, right? So you have on when you win donu hunter Henry, let's say, or on the other side, mace and brown Johnny hunter Henry. And that is a really that four man wall is very can be very effective. But it didn't move the dolphins front, especially after trend Brown left the game in the way that they necessarily thought it would. Now, just really quickly, they ran the ball 27 times on first and second down and they ran 16 third dance in that game against Miami. If I'm the Patriots, you can not get into third down 16 times. I don't care what the events are going up against in the NFL. That's just not if you're in third down 16 times it's because you're not a good first and second down offense. That's the first and second down problem. That's a not a third down problem. And that also comes to the play calling and the lack of aggressiveness to a degree from Josh McDaniels. So they need to be more aggressive on offense. And that doesn't necessarily mean that they can't run the football, but they definitely need to be more aggressive on offense. Well, you know, it's interesting..

Honoring the Heroes of 9/11
"Red eagleton was fifteen when his dad. Bruce was overseeing the redevelopment of a shopping mall at the bottom of the world trade center when the plane hit he called the say he was fine and would evacuate once. He helped his employees. Get out at the nine eleven memorial massive. We had for a few weeks after nine eleven. Someone came up to my mother and said i'm alive today because of what your husband did. He's really something to be proud of. But at the same time. I think this side of us wishes that he just walked out the front door like a lot of other people did that day. Ten people bruce eagles in supervised made it out. He did not. You know it's been really tough because it's a bittersweet memory of my dad. He had every opportunity that he could've building. It's almost you know the selfish part of me wonders. Why didn't he just get out. But then now the proud part of us is you know he really did. I hear that day. The eagleton's are among eleven hundred families who share an unwanted bond. Their loved ones died at the world trade center but have not been formally identified. We've never recovered him Not not even a trace. Many of the human remains recovered in the wreckage were damaged by jet fuel and fire but the new york city office of the chief medical examiner made a solemn promise to identify as many as possible in the last two decades dna technology has improved and forensic scientists are still trying. My family along with many other families are still waiting on remains to be found now again added to the pain and misery. That day is that we're still waiting for word but at some point sort of just have to make a decision to accept. The fact that he's lost
Weekend Prop Bets: Sam Darnold
"Let's jump right into is one of my favorite roberts heading into this weekend. And that is sam. Darnold over is passing yards. Nothing has been posted yet. I'm sure we can close to kick off. It will be posted but man. You know a lot of people i think. Sleep on sam darnold because just the raw deal that he got here in new york. But i just i love. I love his offensive coordinator. I love that rule. The head coach. He's playing behind better offensive line he ever had here in new york with jets. You've got a plethora of talent to work with in on top of that this week. He's gone up against a gaggle rookie corners to sophomore quarters. And here's another thing a not a number all then were have not been drafted. We're not drafted higher than the fifth round. I mean i think sam darnold it could be a sneaky. Good play not just in the That world but in dfs as well. So i love. Sam darnold i also love. I think he's going to connect with robbie anderson don't forget robbie anderson or her jet as well two of them gonna wanna take it to the jets. Got ravi anderson scored a touchdown plus one ninety and also men the jets. They're just a complete mess. Jamison crowder's out. I think. Zack wilson is going to struggle. So i like under in passing yards for zach wilson in this
How 9/11 Unfolded at Aviation Week
"Fran tell us about what you saw that day in new york and how you reacted beautiful tuesday morning and i was at home which was about a mile away from the world trade center. And it's a beautiful day. And i was contemplating playing hooky and conjuring up a medical appointment when i got a call from The new york office. Michael stearns who said turn on your tv a plane has just crashed into the world trade center. Well being a pilot and knowing that that midair alley I assumed it was a small plane that had gone into the world trade center only to discover. Of course it was not. We didn't know what was happening at the time b. then joined forces with the washington bureau on telephone conversation and i was eventually dispatched a downtown but how to get downtown. Because subways have closed down. So i walked about a mile to the world trade center. We're hundreds of people had gathered clear. Jay students from nyu friends and family of those who are in the world trade center trying to find out what had happened but not knowing what had happened. Of course the un no longer a reporter An external force Trying to piece together a story but you. You're a victim as well and i had to battle my own personal fears of terror. We did not know what was happening and The one beautiful thing there with that The clergy with comforting people all types of clergy. It was a beautiful moment where there was a lot of love extended to people who totally panicked so now what started with trying to find out factual information which was few and far between the tv tower had gone down in the tax and We were just piecing together various bits of data that were coming in from all over from local authorities from rescue teams From the military from the faa and from Lower manhattan when there was nothing else to do. We walked back to the office which is about three miles to see the world changing. They were armed. Guards national guardsmen with rifle drawn. Their fighter jets flying overhead. And this was no longer the world we knew. Then we're back to the office. We started scrambling to get The factual
Hollywood and Big Tech Rely on Big Government in California
"Other people in Hollywood don't have to live under the conditions they vote for. They get on a private jet. They fly around. What's the big deal? So taxes go up, they deduct them. What's the big deal? We'll just charge a few more million for the next movie. The next Snickers commercial. Whatever it is We can afford anything they throw at us. Yes, of course you interfere with them. And their mansions in Malibu and Beverly Hills and then my God, none of Then you got big tech. Tech. Big tech relies on big government. Not only for sales, why do they rely on big government for special protections? The federal government were to say today. Hey, no more business with Communist China. Alright, you're giving aid and comfort to a now a nuclear power that's naming big taming big nukes in our cities. That is the enemy. So they're all in bed with big government. They're all in bed with the Democrats. The Democrats are big
The Historical Importance of Singapore Ports
"In modern times. Singapore wasyl is a global poll handing everything from kogo to passengers. What singapore all of his historical importance to the languages. If so when did it become so or was a focused mostly on trade slash kaga. That is a great question and it's not an easy question I mean this is relatively simple straightforward answer But it's one that requires a little bit of context as well. So singapore Was is as alex says very important port and nowadays will up until pre covert you know we kind of saw as a portrait world cruise ships would pull into There was obviously local crazy. There's been local cruising resuming in singapore with with dream cruises not something but You know historically the line. Voyages in the end the passenger ships that used to operate in this part of the world weren't just passenger ships. They were cargo carriers as well. So the the linas. This isn't an arab with thinking about the era prior to the nineteen fifties before jets before containerization of congo. The ocean liners used to be the primary mode of Of of large-scale cargo transportation. Along with things called tramp steamers which you'll see us to carry basically just goes and then i had combination line as well which was small compliments passages and large complement of cargo but the majority of the cargo travelled by ships that also traveling with passengers and in many cases the males as well because that Postal service was the the the subsidies where the backbone of the shipping lines in the early in the early days all the way up until the age of the jet so for singapore It it was an important port for multiple reasons kogo and and Mayo notwithstanding also for passengers because the singapore obviously with at that time was part of the british empire And so britain had connections into into singapore and for example would operate into singapore And also into other major asian ports from their hub in In the gulf of suez and then later when the suez canal was cut through they they obviously do the direct voyages that would go through from the mediterranean under originate in great britain.
New York Jets Wide Receiver Jamison Crowder Positive for COVID-19
"There is some breaking news in the nfl. And if you are a jets fan you're not gonna like this jamison. Crowder has tested positive for kobe. Nineteen we are ten days out from the opener. And it's believed according to tom pella sarah of the nfl network. That it's an isolated case but crowder is going on the kobe list. In now he is very much up in the air for game one against the panthers. I was leaning towards the jets in that game. But i mean you need jamison crowder on the
New Zealand Company to Trial a Four-Day Week
"Right now. A lot of employers are having a hard time finding staff. I'm seeing signs and ads. Promise bonuses for new employees all kinds of perks. Some economists argue that better working conditions could change the game higher wages good benefit packages and how about a shorter workweek for the same pay jets. Lehman has this profile of a new zealand company. That's trying that approach. Few months i've been giving whole question of of how we work quantities. Andrew barnes stood before an assembly of his employees and told them that starting in about a month everyone would work only four days a week instead of five and he'd keep paying everyone their full salary they'd keep all their benefits. You forte's week and you will be five q the balloon drop and confetti cannons right. You know the initial response from the company was not rapturous applause. It was shock and followed by nervous laughter. Because what was the catch. The had to be a catch. This was in two thousand eighteen. Before the pandemic ended the meaning of work for millions and andrews company perpetual guardian wasn't some plucky new startup out to disrupt and shake things up the two principal. Units of my business have been around since the eighties so we are very much old school and trust companies. Aw very stayed dull boring. Dependable businesses estate planning basically synonymous with stability continuity. Doing things the way they'd always been done andrews colleagues were skeptical of his plans to say the least girl italy every single person on my board every single member of the leadership team all four. It was not gonna work. And i was mad but andrew very conveniently owned a good chunk of the company.
Matt Boyle and Trump Discuss Kamala Harris' Absence During the Afghanistan Withdrawal
"I actually asked president trump if he runs again in two thousand twenty four. Which a lot of people think that he will and i. I happen to think that he's very likely to run again. In two thousand and two thousand four. I asked him what he rather face. Joe biden or kamala harris. And you know this is in the middle of this whole afghanistan crisis and we're seeing biden's failures on display for the world and you know. He said he didn't want to predict too far out in the future but he also said he doesn't know if biden is gonna make it that far because he says there's something wrong with him. There's a lot of other stuff in this interview. i also asked president trump. What he thought about. Kamala harris of scanning off to asia In vietnam in the middle of all this usually by the way dr. okay. I get it vice presidents travel around the world. They meet with other government leaders on behalf of the president but in the middle of a crisis like we saw in the last several weeks here in afghanistan normally of accomp- invites president would call off their foreign travel and stand by the president's and help the president right like and i think that that that any republican or democrat. It's not supposed to be a partisan thing vice presidents are supposed to help their boss. There's supposed to have the president and kamala harris. You know jetted. On out of town over to vietnam and singapore where she was for for for for like all week and then she finally shows back up here You know once things are smoothing out a little bit. But i mean still not really i. She still hasn't really appeared in public with joe biden. On this rarely. She hasn't made any public remarks about what's going on afghanistan or anything so i asked president trump. What he thought about Comma harris doing that. He says you know what she seemed to want to get away Who can blame
Minnesota Vikings Acquire TE Chris Herndon From New York Jets
"Traded to Minnesota, that's big for fantasy. Top 15 top 15 tight end Smith hurt I if you if you hung in there unheard in. What's wrong with you? If you hung in there unheard and what is wrong with I was hiring Chris Herndon than anybody in the world. And I and I did not hang in on Chris Herndon. I was out.
General McKenzie: No More Americans Could Be 'Accommodated'
"We always remember general mckenzie's words. We not american citizens came out on the last. What we call the joint tactical exfiltration alaska five jets to leave We we maintain the ability to bring them up until immediately before too far but we were not able to bring any americans out. That activity ended probably about twelve hours before our exit. Although we continue the outreach would have been prepared to bring them out until the very last minute but none of them made it to the air. Were able to be and we're able to be accommodated. None of them were able to be accommodated like they were taking a cruise. We're sorry this is delta airlines calling. We can accommodate your request for a flight. None of them were able to be accommodate. You mean we abandon them. They were left behind because the taliban wouldn't let them get to their this so insanely infuriating. That that i'm. I'm honestly afraid of what i can say today.

I thought they were into gun control and gun confiscation. Maybe they want to confiscate the guns so they can redistribute the guns to the Taliban. Who would have thunk it, Jim to quite a great idea. 176 artillery pieces. 64,363 machine guns, 42,000 trucks and SUVs. You know, this is this is really crazy. You have to fill out one of these big long forms to get access to an actual automatic weapon or a suppressor, not the Taliban. You give them 64,363 there A okay? Chip Shortage Highlights U.S. Dependence on Fragile Supply Chain
"Car companies across the globe have had to idle production and workers because of a shortage of semiconductors often referred to as microchips or just chips there the tiny operating brains inside just about every modern device like smartphones hospital ventilators even fighter jets as we first reported in may the pandemic sent chip demand soaring unexpectedly as we bought computers electronics to work. Study and play from home but while more and more chips are needed in the us. Fewer and fewer of them are manufactured here. Intel is the biggest american chipmaker its most advanced fabrication. Plant or fab for short is located outside phoenix arizona. New ceo pat gelsinger invited us on a tour to see how incredibly complex the manufacturing process. Is i we had to suit up to avoid contaminating. The pfaff head cover on bunny suit zipped goggles gloves ready to go. I'm christine everything in this environment is control together. Delta Airlines Help Evacuate Refugees From Afghanistan
"A humanitarian effort the role Atlanta based Delta Airlines is playing in evacuating those Afghan refugees. Some of the evacuees standing out by the hangar and I think that's really when it clicked Delta flight attendant Joshua Miller among hundreds of Delta crew members who volunteered for these flights. Atlanta's hometown airline, using four jets 25 flights at all to carry 6700 passengers. Carrying all their worldly possessions in plastic bags, says flight attendant Daniel Thomas of this mission. Kim & Kanye Recreate Wedding During Concert
"You would often. I really love kim's wedding draft as second wedding went down at as donde listening party last night now during the final song of cayenne was greeted by kim in a wedding dress chadha veil covering her face and at the time fans weren't sure if it was actually her but e. news can confirm. It was kim and that belonged siaga gown. Now this for a loop. It did not throw me. You think they're getting back together. I think they've ever separated in the way that we thought that they've separated. I feel like. I've said this a million times this week or maybe on another show. I can't even remember. But i just don't feel i feel like kim and kanye our souls that are going to be linked for the rest of their lives whether they're in a traditional romantic relationship. I feel like they have that gemini libra bond and i. I don't think there's there's no one else for konya and there's gonna be no one else for him. It's really hard to replace those two people in your life. I mean there have such magnitude. I just i don't see it. I don't see it just dissolving into nothing. And this i mean they are. I mean. They know how to get attention. They know how to get press. I mean everyone sick. I saw the he was with a model. Yeah so she whatever arena shake producers. But the thing is that we saw them. We saw photos of them sixteen feet. Apart in france like that could've been a very deficit. nothing about their dynamic between the two of them that we've actually physically seen has been romantic or at all sexual. I dunno if i get no private jet with the mansa france. I'm definitely gonna showing my ugly. But i feel like they're in that fashion world together. They're both like ricardo tradition. No i'm definitely if i'm not listening would say something that was going on. I think would kim chi or doing here is konya. Did him the favor through audible. When kardashians i started he would come on the show he would make an appearance. He would show his love for her. Now she's doing the same thing. She's returning the favor years later. This is kinda sorta like christina hack. Entire mussa can't stand in a room with each other but what they understand. Is the branding and the bigger
"jets " Discussed on Fantasy Focus Football
"And the buccaneers so right interesting prospect probably year at minimum away from being a guy that we're counting on fantasy but a guy that by that guy that at least based on college not scared a chuck it deep as a has a strong arm and i think he will be so. I think it's great that he'll be starting from game one. I think he will be a fantasy asset sooner rather than laser but probably not this year. If there's a positive it's that we don't think the defense is gonna be pretty good so they might be getting into some shootouts. And i think. Zack wilson will be good enough that to the extent you want to invest in any jets pass catchers or any pass part of the jets offense that he's going to be able to get the ball to those guys so we we do have to move on but i want us to real quick question just from dynasty perspective Redraft zach wilson. Are you drafted him this year. No redraft no so for dynasty. You've got all these other rookies that we're taking him around him in different situations. Zach wilson the lowest rated of that top tier of quarterback rookies even in dynasty for you or does he rank above potentially mack jones. I've ever fest infield. You've got an fine. I've got i've five. I mean. I think. I don't think anybody's going to argue with trevor lawrence justin fields and trae lands going ahead of him because trevor lawrence is trevor lawrence and the other two were potentially dynamic with their legs as well and also very potent with their arms. And i'm gonna go with mac only because like there's a chance that like mac takes the job relatively early and just i'm sorry jets. Fan fault me. For having more organizational belief in the patriots in what they've done versus what the jets have done where we've seen this story before where a quarterback looks promising and then three years later. He's waiting for the panthers. Yeah i mean exactly. I mean and also just believe also josh mcdaniels mcdaniels offense one thing that i talked about and raucous in nfl. Draft podcast. But i talked about this during the process especially when mack jones is being remembered as number number three overall and then it was like all of a it became almost like taboo. Have affinity for mac job. I'm like you don't understand. These are five amazing quarterback prospects. None of them is a complete waste of space. Like they're all incredible. Someone's going to have to go fit that these five and that's still a really good player and i still think that all five of them have a chance to be stars in the i mean right all five of the one in the first round all five one in the first fifteen pick this one of the first three picks in the nfl draft was an. Yeah we thought was a quarterback. There's a chance that five could've gone to the first eight picks will right. We're talking about like. I think the floor for mac jones probably the panthers and number eight right so things change fast in the nfl. But i think for now. I haven't fit but that's not i don't wanna make. That seem like a huge indictment of him. Yeah and also by the way like and we both said this after the job. We thought the jets did a good job. I think we're both joe. Douglas fans we think the jets are headed in the right direction. Long way to go but they are if you are a jets fan. I think you have cause for optimism agree on that. They're they're on their way. It will take some time talking about the skilled players in just a second but for a moment and daltry matthew imagine a nice vacation is their view. The parking lot new book a cheap hotel book expensive hotel for cheap on hot wire with hot deals..

"Why don't you get better coaches to coach him. What i mean like so what you're telling me. The new york jets organization is at you. They don't trust your evaluation and how you evaluate talent number one or number two. You don't trust your coaches in developing talat. If you're so concerned about paying the sky the guaranteed money that he's earned that he's deserved at least the contract stipulates are should stipulating. Then i would be questioning your own decision making in drafting him. Well what they're going to tell you is we. Don't want to set a precedent and really feels to me as a lawyer write like a lawyer. The one thing. I always did when i was practicing law. I always said if we had a problem if i was on a team. If i was on organizational side. I would say if we've been doing something this way for ten twenty years. Do not change it because once we change it. Everybody's gonna ask for it. But i think you make a good point because here's the deal. This is all based on paying him if you cut him before the end of his term. He's the number two pick in the draft. What are the chances. Where's the number that they are gonna cut him. Where's the number. What are the chances that's going to happen. Where's the number three. That didn't work right. trade him. Yeah where's the way haskins at right now right. It's a good point. Check this out. Check this out. This is something that we say the jets have been doing for what ten twenty years or however long how long. Maybe it's under joe. Douglas term. We we're not sure great. The jets haven't been good for however long so so i mean it's been a minute bar it's been so you've got you've been gone for about fifteen twelve roy jones. Y'all got the jets haven't been good says bartlett. No since however long. And so. I i hear what you're saying ryan okay. We don't want to set a precedent. But what if you set a winning precedent. What have you sort of precedent that actually builds culture and that builds a winning organization. What if that was the precedent you said. We all have agents wherever you ever football asia. Tv whatever right. Y'all have agents org if you're in the business world you might be negotiating for yourself right. People say you don't want to set a precedent but but what are we here earlier. Production equals tolerance. They obviously drafted him. Second overall for a reason you might say has produced in the nfl but he produced in college. You need him and so you can. You can bend the rules a little bit. I in my in my contracts you bend the rules. Hey this is the president but hey man come on. Let's make something happen. And so there's no pressure. Zach wilson for listening at home working out. There is no pressure literally the same shoes with roquan smith..

'cause he's going to be a good pro not safe in the sense that he won't be great at the bare minimum. He's going to be a good pro. So now you're out of line five You know you ain't got and more so you give you an exact another weapon along with corey. Davis man's jamison crowder is more there. Then you wouldn't go. Go and get michael carter so I'm okay that that is obvious. The plan is protect that wilson and weapons. 'cause at the end of the day just had enough hole that had too many holes to fill them all due to drought. Because you know You know if you guys up in the fifth and sixth seventh round. Those guys won't be able to fill those holes for the most part that first year could they. Yeah but that's not actually changing. That's not fair exhibition on them. So that's the obviously the goal. The plan was to get zach wilson. The pieces that he needed granted auditees guinea. No let me the right side. Line can be improved. The sentence could still be improved. You know they still could have got went and got him but overall they went off the line anyway running back so That was my my initial thoughts in the beginning of the draft. You know later on they win. It got got. They can develop that they're that they believe in The to the safety out of auburn Sherwood and safety out of go to stay are signed here They're really high on most of them. Really hounded the transition over to linebacker and they you know they really play with a hellfire that they love contact. They're able to get downhill. They can play space. So we'll see transitions happen but overall because at the end of the day is that wasn't doesn't work out and whether it's because you didn't give him a help or you didn't build around correctly or he just thinks whatever it is none of it matters if he doesn't work out so doing everything mission you works out is the goal and that's obvious that was a player so minus because we're mad a plan set out in the executed. I thought like when they made that trip to fourteen. I also thought that was a lot to give up. Then i remembered something and this is completely unrelated but the last time. They traded up The fourteenth pick wasn't two thousand seventeen and they got this cornerback from pittsburgh that seems to work out okay right right and was also in that. The third round picks chances of those guys elijah's talker can possibly be your pro bowl. Chance of find a pro bowl and third round is not high like most most of the guys that gives in the third round muslims become most become solid stars. I i look back in the past like seventeen eighteen. Nineteen most those class attack tech twinkling you. It's time to really dive into that. And see and they can turn their most. Those guys are just Outta solid but that's about it. There's not that many pro bowlers. That's come out at around in recent memory Like less than like five less than five per class. That i you know randy my research so you know once i felt like yeah. This is a good. I is going. Get a live birth talker and we're talking with d. Vienna may from the new york daily news so we saw them. We saw the jets in the early parts of free agency. They signed corey. Davis on carl lawson so then let me see that second wave of and even third wave a free agent after the draft in those months before training camp. What do you see the jets doing in these like six weeks before training camp starts probably getting a veteran quarterback. I think that that's a possibility. They're very high on The room right now. with Mike white and Cut who the guy is. But they're very high on my father for not knowing exactly the names going New very won't do is talk about that like offseason but they also did bring hoyer For a visit. So i think they will add a quarterback. I a lot people have talked about. Will the jets at a corner and my my thoughts is a shouldn't if agency 'cause like sherman was on the back nine and so contender. None are they not gonna come here. i don't think i've seen a lot of names of nelson so even though the solid player Twenty eight. he know he saw it. You know but he's not he's not a he's not a pro bowl type player so my my thought is why not. Just let the guys that you have in a cornerback room right now. Continue to develop and trying to capitalize on that. Liz you're bringing in a stopgap guy is only gonna start the growth of The guys you already have winters. Bryce harper lamar jackson or often of bless austin or the guy that you just drafted whether it's Jason out of michael carr the second. So just you know our brand of kentucky so those are my initial thought whereas like you can develop the guy. 'cause you don't have to win this year. There's no pressure on him to win for especially perspective and i think Narrative ron is a has to win so why not use that time to continue to belt which already have in house. So those are two things. I've been broach. People have talked about. But that's not. They try to adequate a quarter quarter veteran quarterback zacks development and we got somebody to lean on and then also You know people have talked about getting a cornerback. But i'm just like. I don't know about stephen nellis in the short on. No about already. Serving to bring back brian. Poole they're not be smooth combined pulled already been here when you've been well. He hasn't been in this be new system but he's already been here but we've kind of been a while so i don't think they'll bring him back but i will they have right now and developing young guys So let's let's talk about this. We say they don't need to necessarily win right now. I i saw your article after the schedule. Dropped on wednesday. And you you're very early. Prediction is six and eleven. Which i think a lot of fans would be would be very happy with given what we've seen the last few years in the at the end of the todd bowles era and got engaged sarah. So seeing at least some optimism in comp- competitive team six and eleven. I think a lot of fans would be able to stomach that of course of course You know yeah absolutely Some the bigger bigger games this year. I'm more into how they look towards the end of the year. Because i've i've talked about from other. Shows is the dolphins in twenty nineteen saw over seven and they finished five eleven. They basically went five and four lot. The last few games last nine games and he looked better than to carry that momentum into the following season when they went ten and six the giants thing thing with them off really slow last year and he finished six and ten they were right there in the fight for a playoff spot. Granted you know a little bit fluky in a sense of you know you had a team under five hundred. Make the playoffs. With the fact they were still competitive able to get in there and even got some big win when they beat seattle And they were competitive. Heavily buccaneers on monday night so for me as long as they are competitive throughout the year. And they're in close games in there. Fighting always could end. I'm good with that. You know i could see easy six and ten possibly seven eleven possibly seven and on the of schedule you play last night scenes and you can check out momentum and possibly steal a couple of game that you're not supposed to you quote quote unquote win so I'm gonna move that. They've made This new environment so.

"Question from. At l. saints fan who starts at quarterback for the saints in twenty one twenty. Twenty one. please don't be takes him hill. My vote would be matt stafford if they can figure out the cat. Well i'd say that there. There's absolutely no way they can figure out the cap but we all know that the saints. He uses dark cap magic in their ponzi scheme. It really really can't afford mass. That makes no sense And the cap situation really lives. They can start at quarterback in two thousand twenty one. 'cause pays him going to be there. I've talked a lot him. A fair amount. What do you make of tatum. Hill experiment do you think. Like this. t the saints are a contender with him under or no no like i. I think you know he cut them more or less afloat. But like i will. I will see the fact that he is a. He is a great gadget player by they. There is some value in taksim hill. in all the different things you can do on the field when he has to primarily be a quarterback. I just don't see it. I just don't see it. I i would say like why not james. Why not janus. I mean how much is he is realistically going to cost them next year. He's on a one year deal this year correct. Yeah but i. And i'm like miss. I've been saying why not james but the fact i know sean. Payton loves tastes hill. But the fact that they haven't played jamie's makes me wonder what he looks like a practice as curious. What if they're playing if this hybrid and stuff and they're just they're staying. Let's hide him from the rest of the league. Let's let the league. Forget about james winston and then unleashing against an unsuspecting. Nfc south in two thousand and twenty. One i got Weird things happened. I just don't think. I don't know i think it's a humbling experience for him but the talent is still there. I mean you. Don't throw for five thousand dollars thirty touchdowns if if you're not a bible starting quarterback we'll see if a year on the bench has has chilled out the the turnover. But i mean why. why not. How much is he actually going to cost. You're going to have to put money into a couple of different positions next year. You don't have you don't have stafford money. You don't have sam darnold assets so just go with a goal with a guy who's been there for a year who gets the system and could probably get you from a. to b. as you figure out the rest of your you know figure out the future i think the saints should i mean they need a quarterback feature at some point and they haven't drafted one so i would say this year. They should have an eye to that. It's gonna be really fascinating quarterback market. I'll just say that. I think the jets are about to talk about losing their grasp number one pick kind shook things up terms of like what it means for. Sam darnold There are not. there's not like teddy bridgewater true. I mean there's like cam janus are free agents. I thought marcus mariota showed some nice things in his outing for vegas. I think he's on a two year deal. They'd have to trade for him. But whatever the saints do it's going to be cheap. I'll just tell you that. Actually there's another saints question. But i'm gonna use it to bring up another question. Someone asked him in a house. Some love for mario davis good murray dave's very good any pro bowl. Snubs in your mind that are really deserve to be called out. Yeah i mean there's one there's a homegrown one right here in in jordan In obviously won the fan vote. Which i get should be taken with a grain of salt because i don't put it past bills fans to wake up at three. Am to start hammering home their votes. But i think he's deserving he deserves it Do nothing but increases tackle total in each of the past four years. He leads all defensive backs. When you when you look at the the leading tacklers in the league slam backer linebacker linebacker than than a safety He's still he's been good in coverage couple of pass deflections. Two interceptions really baited russell wilson. On one of them the second pick was kind of lucky in the right place right time he. He did what he did. What i think he is a and then he. He makes an impact on special. I think he he may lead all in as far as defensive. Starters go he leads all of them in special teams tackles so he just. He makes an impact in so many aspects of the game team. Captain as well just seems like an odd. You know justin statements. I is having a good season by. I would say players better in every category except for except for interceptions. I think it might be a case of a your brand getting yourself in their of your brand getting you in Where to it's just a. It's yeah that's interesting especially coming off with the broncos game. Just simmons struggled a bit. So you're talking about people who wanted to get off the field on that last last bills dry. I'm gonna go. I mean divorced buckner was crazy. Big bob tanya. I have with him. It's more just like insulting. Evan ingram but i was the james robinson. The jags running back was one that jumped out to me. I think he's been awesome. So that would be a pretty what l. jc jackson new england. Oh i didn't realize. I didn't realize he didn't make it. That's tough okay. Is funny given what you were talking about earlier with. The bills and the cheese sam from kc says which to nfl teams are the most similar. So like if you trick jerseys they would be similar You know so okay i. It's funny because we're talking like just sticking to the afc. There's definitely some similarities between the browns and the titans. I'd say obviously very strong. Run games good. Blocking quarterbacks used a ton of play.

"The only nfl podcasts. For one of a host thinks the best part of a buffalo wing is the bone itself. That's lenny that was a special customized intro for today's guest a first time guest one whose full name i am. I know i'm going to mess up. Because i can't say french words. It's marcel louis. Jacques how did i do out the part. That's that is perfect on my heart drops every time. There's a pause right before somebody says my name. It's like oh boy here. The disrespect comes the texts from father. Great those great. I used to hate. So i can't say a lot of words right as people Who listeners informed me. It's really kind. Thank you and french words. I've always struggle with in particular so much. So i usually just say them really fast like in college. There was a say. I call it a. Bp it's album pan won't pay so i would just be like hey guys wanna go to really quickly hoping that. Nobody would have to listen to me. Say the word. I love the strategy. Though isn't that. That's how i am when i don't really remember what somebody's name is so i just blend two together and they figure it out from there. I think there's this unspoken realization that i don't remember your name but i'm trying and there's a little respect her. Hey you hey guy also works. Marcel covers the bills for us. And that was the reason behind the buffalo introduction there and honestly it's it's crazy that's taking this long to have you on. We have talked about the bills. I've done various apologies with varying degrees of remorse for josh down island out at the beginning of his career. But the truth is i find this team. Really thrilling really fun. Really exciting really well built. I have always praised them also bills fans. I was very early on. The day will have long before a lot of people whatever anyways and i also think that they're the best team best suited to present a challenge to the chief. So i want to talk to you about the bills. I wanna talk to you about the chiefs and then after the break. I wanna talk to you about The another team in the afc the some would say hapless. Some would say in good shape is featured york jets and then the nfc playoff picture at large. So we've got a lot to cover but of course we have to start with your expertise buffalo. Marcel you've been covering the bills for two years now right so you came in two thousand eighteen twenty twenty nine thousand nine hundred number two so you really like partook and none of the pain and have only only been there in the good times or something that are you. You're y the bills are good. Now i don't know about all that but i definitely only no good those and i think that's why people have taken pretty comedy to me like a if i came in and they went to and fourteen or three and thirteen probably like get go back to carolina immediately. It's interesting though. You mentioned that. Because i think the bills are complicated team last year like this year. They're in unequivocally grip. Very good team and josh allen is having unequivocally great season last year josh allen was kind of in the eye of beholder. I thought he was inconsistent. I thought there were games where he would blackout. And certainly in the post right. I thought that his decision making was suspect. And i thought his deep ball was bad on. Nobody around. the budget was bed. That has all changed. He is good at all those things. I want to ask you because you've had a front row seat to this transformation How dramatic in your eyes has been the shift from last year to this season. And which part of it do you think has been most important to the bills. Recent offensive success. While you're right in that josh was kind of he was kinda whatever you wanted him to be when you watch the games last year but when you see when you saw him play in the fourth quarter like he really. He could really banged his head against the wall for three quarters. In you really scratch your head and wonder like what is he. What's he seeing. What does he want and then in that fourth quarter everything just kind of made sense and if he saw some of these some of these performances you would think okay if he could do that across an entire game the bills might have something here and because i mean even if he was he was still the dead last in completion percentage but it was something like ten points better than what he was as a rookie. So if it's like if you can continue to improve at that at that rate the there's this has legs like maybe maybe he can. He can be this franchise guy after all and so. I think locally among bills fans among among media. I don't think that his his rise to being a good quarterback is such a surprise. Because we've seen the. We've seen the flashes so often but i don't think anybody expected him to be a superstar I i literally shot a video the summer. That said josh allen. Does it need to be a superstar for the bills. Good and i will raise my hand aware that one. Because that's that was wrong. He is the is d- reason they're they're not winning in spite of him. They're winning because of him. That's been the most important. I think transformation To to where they're at now at eleven in three is early in the season. This defense wasn't good flat out there. Dealing with injuries milano was hurt. Edmonds was playing through pain. Trae white missed the game The second cornerback. Between josh norman and levi. Wallace seem like he's one of them. Just couldn't stay healthy. They couldn't be healthy at the same time. And so with these new pieces figuring it out. They struggled and they needed josh allen to throw for three hundred fifty yards a game. They needed those four touchdown performances or they were gonna find themselves in a pretty deep hole to start the season and that's not something he could do last year. I think maybe the dallas game is the only one. You can point to on thanksgiving where you know he. He did a lot. He did more than just managed the game for them. But if that defense wasn't clicking. This team wasn't going to win. And that's just simply not the case. This year he is. He is the driving force behind. Probably nine or ten of these eleven wins. He's the driving force then as pilots. He has what before the season. I call i thought the most complimentary group of receivers in the nfl. I just loved how diggs-brown beasley fit together. Who gave gave davis wasn't that point in my life. And i i love debut who. I just mentioned north. I think barnwell tweeted this the other day like just as amazing as adults. Transformation has been bryant tables transformation as well and bill pointed out before buffalo but marcel even like year one two to three debacle has also improved like a remarkably rapid rate. I didn't love this offense josh's first year in the nfl kind of felt like he was four. He wanted josh allen to be something. You wasn't And the evolution of that offense has been really impressive to the point where now and what type of the defense. But i want to stay in the offense for second. Like i look at his offense and i said okay. We know this offense is bills offense. They've got really great playmakers. Decent pass protection. I wouldn't say one of the better lines in the nfl. A run game that's inconsistent but has been better lately and it certainly has some upside. They love having three or four receivers on the field. They do all the stuff that nerds like ten of motion ton of play action. You've got a quarterback. Who is you know nails when he's not when he's kept clean but it's also decent under pressure. Was the weakness like if you're a defense. 'cause i 'cause i i you know i this. The offense to me second to the chiefs is the scariest offense. Maybe in the nfl. Honestly packers pride given run for their money at times. But like i would say it's between them and the packers for number two but like how. There was a point earlier in the season result teams playing a lot more zone against josh allen. Blitzing him less but then they kind of adjusted. If you were a defense in the playoffs how would you play.

"It looked like in bak- for his early flaws has had that as well to seems to have a good combination of of both rights feels like his game. He certainly doesn't feel overruled by the occasion but at the same time. Has that composure as well. That seems to be getting stronger. Stronger we can. We can remember when this call was made one of the key pieces of the key rationale of why the dolphins would make the decision. Taiwan fixtures winning and the team was winning weibring tour. And now as i think you made the point on this show greg Take a look at what they've got the. It's not a clear cut thing here. They need to see what they've got because if they are if their concerns about to either durability concerns injury concerns as significant the he's just not the right fit. We need to know this now with the defense that we've built if he's not the right guy then this gives us a chance to to re up again. It looks as though he's done more than enough to secure. The gay long-term his daddy doubt now on tour is the right guy. No and i think. I think you're right. It took some time to do that. And this look like a bit of a law season. Remember there sitting here at one in three October eleven and they're going to play san francisco And i don't remember the jimmy g. was healthy for that game. They were underdogs against the forty niners. Whether nick mullins starting or whether it was jimmy garoppolo. So you're sitting at one three you're staring potentially at one and four now. They had two games to come against the jets on the schedule. Those are the easy win. Outscored the jets forty four three in the two games. They played so the jets could move the ball against miami's defense but When we talked about racking up impressive wins. They started to do that. They go to arizona and win. They were their defense was amazing against gerry. Goffin the rams after the bye week that got them rolling over five hundred missteps at anything And they and they really played the chiefs hard. I thought about you know a couple of weeks ago. They really gave kansas city One of the best games that anyone's giving kansas city this year. So look they can still stumble here. They are not ah lock. They go to the raiders. That's going to be a desperate team. They go to play buffalo the last week and i know we talked about it on the radio on sunday if buffalo has nothing to play for. That's great for miami but buffalo has the second seed the play for. They're gonna play everybody in that last game and then miami potentially falls to nine and seven and i think we've set of all year long. There's going to be a nine and seventeen. There might even be attendance. Sixteen in the afc that misses the postseason won't be like that in the nfc. But that's that's the struggle with how good the browns have been the how good the colts titans have been. It's gonna be it's gonna be a tough thing to get that third spot and just for clarity. The ravens to me to slam dunk games. Their home against the giants. Next sunday they go to cincinnati without joe burrow. I mean they're going to finish eleven and five. So i don't think there's room for error with miami and they may very well be again. We talked about the rams being the best team out of the playoffs last year in the nfl miami could could go ten and six and easily missed the postseason. That'd be really disappointing. For everybody down there and brian flores they wanna get there. They don't care about drafts and remember how they got picked as well from the houston texans right from the big trade laremy tunsil so that they're in great shape as far as the draft goes but they want postseason football this year. They might have to win both games to do that. Okay what more on the afc. And then we'll we'll wrap things up at. She's a bit of breaking. The has just occurred since we started recorded which says well about the panthers but just more of the afc and two teams that get your take on the titans and the colts because the titans by virtue of the way that winning games with henry running with our everybody tannahill back in the kind of formula showing for the majority of last season composure protection the bulwell ruthlessly fission decent mood his legs as well. You know he's an an underestimated quarterback despite the productivity but the nature of that offense is to follow through from the chiefs who electrifying to watch the titans because hetero will break up a massive run at stiff odds strong on a defender while doing it. They've got i j brown. They are exciting to watch film that this heavyweight sucker punch that go charged her with everybody to colts a built very differently and i wonder whether we're sleepy on them a little bit as deep playoff contenders because of that because of the nature of the start of their offense very efficient defense texaco's had another outbreak against for the second time in a month but nevertheless the colts woody again tenant for always sleeping on them a little bit. Well i certainly am on what i'm gonna continue to. I think because. I don't like them as much as as the titans in the afc south. I think you you crystallized why people love where tennessee's at Love the progression of ryan tannehill about this consolation prize. When miami drafted ryan tannehill eighth overall in drafted had andrew luck robert griffin. The third weird right. The one guy's retired and the other guys career backup at ryan. Tannehill may win more and thrilled for more. Two thousand four yards both of them combined. His career like esau was arrangement. Yeah really is. Let's talk about this breaking news. So monte honey gone from carolina the gm. Because the team owned by david tampa hedge funder. Who's all about being a progressive for thinking franchise and honey gets the bullet interesting decisions. Well and for the coach who hired for the gm hired matt rule who of for going and getting matt rule making sure that he didn't go to the new york giants making sure that he didn't end up going anywhere else. It is a little bit surprising and carolina's gonna.

"They might not win another game quite obviously going into the going into the postseason. Dallas has now put themselves in a good position to win there. There may maybe their last two games. They got a big break yesterday. Eagles lost giants loss washington loss. But i think about where you know should washington of made a move on a quarterback should detroit in a post matt stafford. Area have drafted justin. Herbert i i would certainly look at that now. You and i know as a long term dolphins fans that they passed on that ryan back in that one and fifteen season to take jake long the offensive linemen. And that's a great choice. Like jake long was good player for them for a long time before. Moving onto the rams but matt ryan you know. Think about it you you. Would you would solidify that quarterback position for the last thirteen seasons with matt ryan in atlanta who were desperate for a quarterback as the dolphins were back then. So has it on that guy and look buffalo buffalo. Did the same thing wasn't good enough position in the top ten ever really to get to get an elite quarterback. You know it's asking a lot to say we'll get go. Get jim kelly. It's asking miami. Lots of say. Gogo dan marino. But there have been quarterbacks in the top ten top twelve the buffalo of passed on men and just tried to sort of piecemeal together. We're gonna take a flyer on e. j. manual. We're going to bring in. You know this veteran and if had injury problems to jp loss mundane workout. Training trent edwards. Look good for a while. And then he got concussed in a game buffalo. I remember this well started. Four and one year got hit in the head in a game against arizona was never quite the same quarterback again. so yeah it's For the jets and jags You know they're gonna jockey back and forth next couple of weeks. Cincinnati sits there and says we've got joe burrow a huge. He's going to recover from his injury. We can just take the best player we feel like at number three or trade outright out out against a reach and get and get the third best quarterback in the draft. Whether it's the the byu guy or the ohio state guy they can take their back on the rams quickly because common theme on on the show. This season is teams. That are very difficult to walk out. I think this is one of those years where that's particularly true or not in tampa bay. We'll take that box. Tabby did that inside one game last night. Right as an not the first time but the rams may be the most acute example this. How do you explain this. It wasn't as you say a completely. Woeful performance offense. Jared goff was not in any kind of rhythm matola against a not particularly effective jets defense or face and jet steed to be the yes. You're right you mentioned it. 'cause they couldn't get much of a game which had some impact that they had opportunities. They had strikes messing producer lead in the third quarter and said i think the rams are gonna win this and it was a close call. So let's not get carried away by this inquiry. I think was the jets being appallingly bad. This season this patronizing dialogue as sometimes that are that college team would be the jets and this is still an nfl team with players like frank gore who was instrumental in the game. Absolutely boiling giving everything. So let's not get too carried away the result defensively. They want really at the races tortoise. Both sides of the ball greg. That the rams just didn't really show up. What do you put that down to the rams series contenders in the nfc. The next week you think. Oh god if they scrape log called they'll be lucky. Yeah they've got a ton of quality wins and the benefit they look like. That bydesign wildcard team at the st adult. The seahawks won't come back to earth. Obviously the seahawks aren't as dominant as a lot of people forecast after the first four five games of the season. But you're right. The rams had just seemed to have played down to their competition at times they have. They've got some quality wins on their on their schedule. Now and some wins that look better. Now in retrospect than Than others they. They beat seattle handily. They snuck past the tampa bay. In tampa they go to arizona and be and put up thirty eight points on. What i think is still a pretty good defense. I know the cardinals played a lot of run and gun. Last minute. type finish games. They were almost in one. This past sunday against the eagles With with jalen hurts trying to leave him back had a couple of drives to do it and arizona. Only shut the door. But you're right. They've been very very You know. I know the. Nfl is very much up and down league. But but by this point of the year you tend to get settled in and get some consistency from certain teams and that rams team was. I thought it was the best team not to make the playoffs last year. Right i thought they were remarkably consistent the year before in terms of games. They've got they've they've had the benefit of play the nfc this year as a schedule and therefore no against them. So that's the weird thing if you take those winds away. They're five and five team if you take away the nfc victories. But they've swept san francisco in their own division. We know they're coming into a huge showdown this sunday. A a couple of days after christmas in seattle against the seahawks that determines everything really Because they can you know they'll have the tie-break if they beat seattle swept the season series. I know it is a very tough team to figure out. And i don't wanna put that label on them while they're the team that you wouldn't wanna play in the playoffs because you generally you wanna play inconsistent teams going into the postseason who who can't seem to string it all together for weeks on end and and that was sort of like minnesota last year. He didn't know what kind of vikings team. What kind of team kirk cousins. You know you're gonna get any goes and beats new orleans and playoff game which is not what a lot of people predicted so. Yeah the rams just the infrastructure is there any team. That's got sean mcvay. As a coach. We both like jared goff quarterback you and me and obviously aaron donald who didn't get a lot of pressure on sam aaron. Donald didn't get a lot of pressure on sam darnold the nets victory. He really didn't So yeah i. It just seems that up down team. They're going to be a playoff team. Are they're going to be an easy out. They've got to play better than they did. On sunday or the seahawks. I could apply that to as well. Let's talk about them and in time look at the washington situation. There's still the possession of the fourth seed despite the defeat to the seahawks. Who say greg not on song by that high status. Although obviously in recent weeks things have been a little bit tricky but the seahawks nausea expected. They would be so this imbalanced that we saw the start of the season which was all about the defense. The defense the defense being the weak link that was the tangible shift and offensive direction from villa x. number of years where they have led with a run fifty five fifty six percent leading with the run letting russell wilson air it out and we saw the results that but gradually as the season's gone on the defense has improved the particular poss- russia once again against washington. It was a solid performance. Defensively across the board for much of the game and it was the offense at a particularly a particularly aerial game. That was struggling this offensive. Line been a problem but they lead with the ground game once again..

"Fred. Good to have you with us gang. Greg brady back in the house. Always a pleasure catching up with him and plenty to be getting into gonna look at the playoff picture in the afc in the nfc through the big results from week. Fifteen and try and walk out what they mean for the rest of the season the postseason and the race for the super bowl. So let's get straight down to and welcomed the brilliant. Greg brady greg to see him out of the jets have pulled off the most jets thing imaginable of course with their winning credit to them for a win in a game that they were seventeen point dogs. They get us season but maxed out. Put them in second spot in the backyard of drafting. The jags had the tiebreakers. So if both teams lose out they might have just blown a trevor. Lawrence is jets fans right now must be spinning around in circles. Thinking why you doing this to us and our jacksonville fans feeling euphoric that. They're you know they've done all the right things. They've had three different starting quarterbacks this year all really young guys they haven't pushed it out and started a bunch of You know Old old fogies. Who were on their last legs. Were holding a clipboard for two or three years before but yeah i was shocked by what i saw in and i'm not sure that the rams played that horrible they didn't you know it wasn't a trademark rams game they couldn't get a ton going We cam akers on the ground But i thought about it too. With sam darnold and i'm like darnold almost if he wants out of of new york if he wants out and wants to be somewhere else besides the jets quarterback and we know an old talk about carson winston bente quarterbacks do want out of their city so it appears that sam darnold played well enough yesterday and an excellent enough to almost make damore difficult for the jets to move on from him because yeah trump lawrence seems to be the only you know guaranteed game moving forward that is going to revolutionize your franchise and bless you out of a job. If you're the starting quarterback so he almost may have cemented more future with the jets. But i've thought about this too. I think about how bad the indianapolis colts were. I think it was curtis painter. Starting much of the year that peyton manning was injured. The kerr great curtis pater Yeah the painter years. I call peter year singular but remember the colts being about owen. Twelve one thursday night game. And i almost think they even one. They came close to winning another other game. And i'm like they're going to blow this on this late with andrew luck member washington traded up to. Rg three right. The rams had held the second pick but they want it out because they drafted. Sam bradford a year or two earlier. So i just thought you gotta be really really bad to get down there. And sam darnold is to me still still. We can talk about that quarterback class a ton and reassessing. What what cleveland shoulda done. What the jets should've done. What ball buffalo got right with josh allen. But sam darnold's good at quarterback lose every game he starts and always missed a few starts due to injury this year But i you know. He played well enough yesterday on the road in exceptional circumstances that i you know maybe i was starting to question. Given they've had close calls. They almost beat the raiders. There's a couple of divisional games. They were close in in the fourth quarter. You're not seeing the jets. Losing twenty five points to twenty seven points every week during games and it just so happened. They stuck long enough in one. Although it's twenty three ten going into the fourth quarter and obviously the rams had Had it within their control to break back and beat the. But you're right if you're a jets fan and been to the super bowl since joe nemeth in the late sixties you wanted trevor lawrence and it looks like a lot a lot more difficult to go and get them. It's a great point you make on donald. Look at his numbers. Seventy one percent completion rate. Thirty one Poces that always offense children's seven and a touchdown. Okay not exactly a lights out of any dynamic performance but nevertheless a capable competent performance and trevor lawrence is the exceptions. You say eddie team. We've talked about it whether it's the giants and they were starting the season as they did the jets of course in the mix as well all those teams that have quarterbacks who where unsure about now. Donny dimes is a few years behind sam darnold's projection and suss it out to be perceived at the same level. They're not absolute busts but at the same time then they don't show things lawrence's the show thing drought in the only one. So it's a it's a huge diamond. They have it kind of makes sense to me. I think if they ought to have the one overall pick to look reopen elsewhere in this roster that clearly needs. And it's a it's a great point you make about donald. Wouldn't we all quite sure his level. Despite the fact he's got quite a few miles on on the on the clock because it's such a woefully inadequate team around him. That is it's hard to evaluate any quarterback in that. She put all my steady quarterback in this situation. The jets the moment they would they would suck so it is difficult for the jets. I guess if if it does play out as does got to look at that running right because the jets are got cleveland. A new england their final two games of the season. The jags have the baz and the colts remember the only win of the season. The jags was against indianapolis way back in week. One so we can kind of discount too much for and i have a great great bears friend. I was talking to him yesterday and You know saying here. They are the bears seven seven. They've got jackson next week. He's sure they're losing to jacksonville. Next sunday he sure of it. More as sure i know i know we talk about long suffering fan base and you're just waiting for the lions fans feel at browns fans until this year feel dolphins fans until this year to some extent. Feel it to the bears. Fan is Even though they went to the super bowl you know what are we talking. Close to fifteen years ago now at. Rex grossman right a feat little if it can go wrong it will the double door right like can go wrong for the bears right a key critical time at will. So what about like if jackson no steps up and wins that next week against chicago In florida jackie. You know the jets are right back. In the driver's seat it really throw in the mix the bengals attached to the mix as well right to and ten yeah tend to of course they got the they got the tiger. So maybe it's too much reached record this monday. So their actions tonight because this might not date particularly well but that that gets intrigued. You have a team. That absolutely isn't gonna need travel lord's own cincinnati. You're right you. Cincinnati looks like they've almost cemented. the third overall pick. Okay so yeah. You're not going with quarterback. But we you know. I know we've talked about it a few times in the last few weeks about the teams that passed on a quarterback that still have a giant question. Mark over the whole position. Washington might win the nfc east might. But they've patchworked it with three different quarterbacks at different times this year obviously with kyle alan alex smith and now dwayne haskins starting And you know they might be holding on for dear life..

"Would you as the best and most marketable talent in the sport want. You obviously wouldn't choose to go to the jets. You would be forced to go there because they draft you. But he doesn't have to go there if he doesn't want to. I guess you could be. If you're trevor lawrence you could say well. I'm me and i've went everywhere i've gone and that's new york and if i win in new york if i went for the jets that i will be a beloved figure in the game for forever you know that. That's one way of looking at it. But i also don't think is a quarterback for a great quarterback. You're going to be great no matter what. And you're going to get the attention and the accolades no matter where you play for the most part and it's never been a bad thing for any quarterback to refuse to go somewhere you know it worked for manning. It worked for john elway. I can't think of a time in which this has backfired. Where guys like you guys. Suck so much that i just can't. I can't risk my career. You know san on on how bad you are. So if i were trevor lawrence i don't you know he doesn't have to go back. Play for free it clemson for another year. He can just say you know what you can do. Whatever the hell you want. But i'm not going to be playing for you so you can just sell ads on instagram. That's that's right. His name. Name image and likeness. Well like jim. Kelly is a as an example. I didn't remember until i was just doing research for this very discussion. Which has he refused to play for. The bills went the usfl than the us we play for. He fell by the way. This houston gamblers. That's right that's right. Go ahead on then when the gamblers. He's he's like all right. I'll go to buffalo now so he could always just do that. He preventing them for playing flying for the jets years online. Stephan when when we were talking about the risks here. We didn't mention the most recent number one pack joe burrow went to the bengals and they're like ask offensive line and he now as a screwed up knee. Now i mean that's that's a football thing but if you're offensive line side with getting david david caving david carr but not for joe burrow. Okay right but he'd also been sacked nine million times. The optimists view is that the jets fired general manager. They fire the head coach. Everything is starting fresh. And trevor's lauren lawrence's agents says. Let's take the money and go there and take over new york and make them into a good team and five years. Trevor lawrence as agent gets named the general manager could help to and i felt he. The nfl is structured for teams to turn things around quickly. The jets have been incapable of doing that. Of course so if you're feeling optimistic and that i am going to be a hall of fame quarterback i can do this then. Maybe you say this is a challenge. I'm willing to accept. That's pretty naive. What you like. Baker with cleveland baker. Like right now. He wanted to go to cleveland. And yeah i was going to say the last two teams ago winless two thousand. Lions made the playoffs in two thousand eleven. Two thousand seventeen browns are going to make it. Looks like they're gonna make the playoffs in two thousand twenty so that's not a long time jets. Twenty twenty three. Yeah meme it could happen. You know i mean you know. Shot up the ken. O'brien and in freeman mcneil. You know the jets fans overdo all right. I'm just seeing this from adam schefter. I don't know if you guys have seen this. So we're recording authentic i Reactions for to some jets news per adam schefter jones stephan jets fired dc. Greg williams purse man. So apparently they weren't happy with the with zero blitz right. I mean you can't have that guy back in that locker room after that. So good riddance greg. Winds she'll be him back in the locker room. Dissension want the team to come together and bond over this rational decision making early. This decision was made after. They heard what rex ryan said earlier on monday. Dumbest call i've ever seen in around the thing for fifty eight years. You're going to die diver. And i've i've never done anything. This is somebody who's dumb over time and place converse zero that's it. It's just stupid. Pretty much sums it up. Rex ryan good job. Electric cars may seem a little different but new technology always seems weird at first. Even podcast seemed weird when they first came out in early two thousands. They were called audio blogs and downloaded onto mp three players but now people all over the world. Listen to podcasts. All the time just like podcasts. Electric cars are normal. now they have longer ranges meaning. They're not just for.

"Darryl lamonica the oakland raiders. Through a thirty three yard touchdown pass to warn wells with one second remaining for a thirteen thirteen. Tie that with the extra point by forty three year old. George blanda became a fourteen thirteen win on november. Sixth twenty twenty at metlife stadium in new jersey. Derek carr of the. Las vegas raiders. Through a forty six yard touchdown pass to henry ruggs. The third with five seconds remaining for thirty twenty eight lead that with the extra point by twenty five year old kicker daniel. Carlson became a thirty one. Twenty eight win. Time is in fact a flat circle. There are no extant reports on whether the one thousand nine hundred seventy jets blitzed eight players in a cover zero defense. That's man to man coverage and no safety help photos indicate otherwise to jets collided in the end zone with rookie. Cornerback thomas whose name. I always loved accidentally tipping it forward to warn wells. But that's what the twenty twenty jets did according to espn fifteen seasons in two hundred and fifty to pass plays in similar situations score distance and time. This was the only time. A team had used that alignment after the game. Derek carr said. I couldn't believe they all out blitzed us. I was thankful in the long run jets. Fans may be thankful to gangrene as owen twelve and on a glide path to sixteen and the number one draft pick presumably clemson quarterback trevor lawrence before we talk about whether the jets are tanking for trevor. Let's discuss their spectacular hilarity josh. It is rare to see a single play that so perfectly encapsulates teams futility. and perhaps. it's history as this one. Young agree with you though. It seems impossible to aggregate the play from the jets. Larger tx project here and the conspiracy theories about how they're trying to lose and trying to get the number one pack and trying to get trevor lawrence because ultimately for the franchise for jets fans. It was better for this to have happened then for not to have happened. The whole thing makes so little sense because the jets made a big comeback to be in position to blow the lead in the end and yet there's no logical reason why you would have done what the jets in their coordinator. Greg williams dead on that last play. You laid out the history steph. Fifteen years two hundred fifty to pass plays where no team has ever thought that this was a good idea to send everyone and leave. Henry ruggs with his four point. Two seven joel anderson ten-year-old ask speed one on one with an undrafted rookie. I mean. it is like ludicrous. But that's what they did so what we're left with is to think either. This is the dumbest thing that any team has ever done. Which jets so. That's in the realm of possibility. Or they're like so clever in terms of how they're trying to lose these games that they were actually trying to win it until the last five seconds jal which of these explanations makes sense to you on the i. I can't imagine. Can i also say but before you start like one of the jets safeties mukai. Marcus maye called out greg. Williams after the game was that was a bad play call and so it wasn't like the is on the team or like you don't you don't usually hear dat from a player calling coach the immediate aftermath of the game right so i mean we know that greg williams is the one that makes us blitz call so it's not a surprise that it was stupid right and you know that as the saints you know there's saints fan. Josh bountygate of bountygate fame greg williams of kill the hat in the body will die fame. Isn't it also the great williams. Also one in fifteen as a head coach as well one year bills head coach and did not have a very impressive record he went. I think three and thirteen was his worst ever. But he's a very good and long run of successes a defensive coordinator in the nfl dating back to his days with the houston oilers. See that has been around for a long time. Football changed a lot since the houston around. Ed maybe that's sort of a testament to how long you've been in the game. And i understand what grade williams is trying to do there that you don't wanna guide to just sit back there you know. Pick around and you want to rush him. You want rush derek carr. Who's not great it handling pressure and make him make a bad decision to get rid of the ball ahead of time. But i mean you had as you mentioned undrafted rookie corner who ran a four five eight at the combine against the guy. Who was the fastest dude at the combine this past year. It's just like i mean marcus. Maye is right man. You don't often hear coach player. Say this explicitly. But it's really on greg williams man like you can't put guys in that position and i. I don't think so to answer your question john. I don't think that they did that intentionally. Because there has to be a more dignified way of losing than that greg williams and adam gates. The head coach are going to get fired lake. They don't have any reason to want to be part of this tanking project and the players like the way the tanking works like players are trying their hardest and it's just like the front office or whoever puts a product out on the field. That isn't going to succeed but the players aren't trying to loose right. Yeah you put out a product when you're trying to thank you. Put out an undrafted free agent rookie corner who runs a four point. Five right like and you've got a fifth round pick opposite that guy starting there and then and then in the secondary the only guy with more than nine games of experience is that safety. That called out. You know greg williams. So that's how you tank. You just have not enough talent and hewlett that overwhelm you. You wouldn't like put something like that on tape and have people actually football intelligence it. Which is what greg williams adam gates did and i mean yeah. It looks stupid. It looks so stupid that you would think it was intentional. But it was. I mean i have to believe that that was unintentional that they did not want that to happen that they do not expect that to happen right. Because it's all predicated tanking in the. Nfl is predicated on believing a system. Wide conspiracy theory tanking on individual plays. It's predicated on believing that coaches wanna lose and that players are instructed to lose a manual show the former linebacker in the nfl at a twitter video where he was laughing watching last play and says the jets were directed to lose this game. And there's no other explanation. Yeah don't buy that at all. I mean greg. Williams wants to continue to be employed in some capacity and professional football. And those jets. Defenders wanna have jobs going forward to. They don't want to be part of this because they're not going to be part of the rebuild a lot of these guys. There's no incentive for them to lose on purpose so this to me was just an arrogant coach saying fuck it. We're going to do this. This is going to work. We're going to surprise them. And this is the like just throwing the cards in the air and hoping that three a says land heads up on the floor. I mean on the one hand. That's true like this was the like most leroy jenkins momentum and fell history but on the other hand. It's like what greg williams does every time and so it's not like it was even that unpredictable. And greg williams is known for recklessness and arrogance in your playbook this makes sense. It's like him him being himself and again i would say this and i mean it was stupid like like. There's a reason that defenses. Don't do this in the nfl but the idea that he did something that was so unorthodox so out of the box. I can understand saying maybe this will catch them off guard you know. Maybe maybe maybe they won't be expecting getting maybe he'll throw the ball away. Maybe we'll get to the quarterback but that's the thing it was unorthodox in like the direction of manliness. Everybody because we're so tough right you can see. There's a conceit joel that this is going to surprise them..

"The ESPN app ensues from channel 88 against us by the hang out with us they had thanks to show a pencil performance line. Because of consciously obligated. We're going to keep giving you updates on Patriots versus Jets and the Jets as we have a lead. The old and a jets actually have a 10 7 league, overdoing the Patriots Joe Flacco, throwing a 35 yard touchdown pass the 50 yard touchdown pass going to give the Jets that lead. With that throw in Fitzsimmons. He has now passed Joe Montana on the all time with for most yards thrown in the career. He's not 40,600. He has now passed Joe Montana. Another job passing another Joe, where once in the Hall of Fame and the other one, So I'm going to get there with the ticket. Is something wrong with that, right? When there were now has more yards passing then Joe Montana for his career. I'm actually now engaged in this awful game. Just coming into it. Did not give a bleep the first time. I don't remember the last time I didn't wager on a Monday night football game. Just have something down on it. No, not on these two awful teams not wanted no part of it. Zero zilch, Nada. And now The Patriots losing to the lowly Jets. This actually has me somewhat. Attali Ste. Interested and not for nothing. If you're the New York Jets, they had 1/4 down and three in pages territory. By the way, cold. As I said, it's on toward a part of the Dr Pepper Twitter feed. Coleman, ESPN Indian fits ESPN, saying the Jets and Adam Gaze would point ofthe fourth and three in the opponent's territory. Hashtag kicky is for losers thinking the same thing going your for your own age. What have you got to lose another game plus territory? You know, manageable fourth down and Yeah, let's just go ahead and bring in the funding crew that makes that makes a hell of a lot of sense but again. If you imagine tomorrow if the Jets can buy some football miracle at the Meadowlands. Hang on to this game. The Patriot would be one win better then the Jets Let's let the grassy Knolls the conspiracy theorists all of a sudden jump up, man. Is Belichick tanking for right? I mean, is he looking to try and get to Trevor or Justin Fields or a tray? Lance we had We've all forgotten about the quarterback in North Dakota State who is projected to be a top 10 pick. Shift the lever for Trevor that you tell me if they lose the busted for Justin to the Jets. Man. I'm open to all conspiracy theories. Sure. Why not? I mean, what have you got The losing 2020. Nothing is off the table regarding anything. Anybody thought process Whatever you want to say whatever you like to hear, But we will keep enough data on this game right now. 8 15 to play in the second quarter New York Jets, as have a 10 7 lead their own eight pages of two and five. That game right now, Monday night football on ESPN and also the ESPN APP. He's in Fitzsimmons of Freddie Coleman always appreciate you joining us on Friday, and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio. ESPN advances on Channel 80. Don't forget the phone number 888729. 3776. Our brother seems, although this at your big takeaway from the NFL this weekend was what What? The future. The quarterback position is just remarkably bright. When you look at that match up yesterday, and I know it's only Game two for two of, but he looked like Alabama to a healthy Alabama tool. Before the ankle before the hip. Hey, look, sensational Calamari. Just absolutely mesmerizing. You're going down the list. Man of Josh Allen, Joey Burrow. Justin Harbor. Two rookies, along with two of Lamar Jackson had a big bounce back. You know, Patrick? Oh, yeah. Patrick Mahomes, A young quarterback really is keep forgetting that this is his third year in the league plays a starter in the NFL, and he's my M V p just right now. Okay, Now we're into that conversation completing 67% of his passes. 25 touchdowns, one interception out of one. I mean, it's insane, but those are names off the top of my head. That are within Three years or younger as starting quarterbacks in this league, and they all had remarkable remarkable Sundays and then get a couple of old guys that just looked old. Now Philip Rivers and Tom Brady in large part Tom Brady because his o line stunk Rivers. That tackle alone, man or a day attempt to tackle whatever the heck that was dance move more than a tackle. That was absolutely brutal, but the young guys Man. The future is bright when it comes to quarterback play in the NFL salad by you. As a matter of fact, I'm going to get into to a versus kind of a little bit later here on Friday, and if its segments with the infant Simpson Freddy Coleman, my three big takeaways are real quick. Number one, these three told hate is to shut it down, at least for a week. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson 20 people saying this and that saying that saying this and the Baltimore Ravens I thought got caught up in in the first half against Indianapolis Colts, then the second and they looked at each other, said. What does he do? Well, somebody melted some paint in that locker, right? Okay. We got this guy, Lamar Jackson. What does he do? Well, okay, then why is he not doing it? Why we not allowing him to do that, And in the second half, they went up tempo. He's hitting receivers. He's running the ball. He's putting that offense on his back like he did last year and long behold, they were from again that could potentially lose on the road to running away and hiding in the second half, not just trusting the defense to do it all by themselves. That's number one. Number two to go back to your saints, not just destroying the Buccaneers, but you know there was sick and tired of hearing about Tampa Bay. They got that. Look, Tom Brady's playing Well, They got Antonio Brown best balanced team in the NFC and they got the underwear being offered by the Saints. It got so bad that 31 to nothing was the half time score. I wanted watching law and order as you read runs on Yusa USA Network. Watch that almost fits. Lulu lives with cottage here. Ah! A house on she actually came in. Tap the door half time going. You know what's great about tonight was that I get to go to bed early of 31 Zip right. She was done. And that's her beloved's man. I mean, that is her squad. She lives breathes. Eats, sleeps everything. She will die with a breeze union. I mean, I'm telling you, she's out of her mind, right? That's what he played Bed bed time. That was the most complete half of football I've seen all year by any team in the NFL. I tell you what, not so much In terms of complete, there's a complete destruction. The state's Let it be. No. Hey, this is still our division. Tom Brady. You just got here. We've been here for a minute. If you're going to win this division if you're going to win the NFC, Yes, right, Brah, You got to come through us. You try to twice so far this year and both times you lost by double digit. I think the same just scored again to make it 45 to 3 against Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They let it be known. Hey, you just got to this division how great you are, but we're still the kings of the NFC South. They told all those haters and all those naysayers to shut it down and be quiet and another one. You know, the bills are tired about hearing the Seahawks were coming in the house and beat them. Wait a minute. You're saying Russell Wilson as terrific as you've been, but that leaky defense lack of running game They're going to come into our building and beat us. I will say this. The Buffalo in they played with an attitude versus Seattle that have been missing the four weeks before playing. That football team is that they found themselves and said, You know what? We know what we can do..

"It is. It is jets wiki. We'll get to the jets jets. Interesting team that manufactured four rushing yards in the second half last week, which is why I think. Adam. Gays and I'm glad he's the coach for this because this is all going to be leaving on bell to find interested in this game is going to be lady on bell what the jets. In how bad that she's going to beat them but one thing I noted the meeting well, one thing I I noted on Arrowhead had pride today is that typically you would have two teams one that's six and one and one that's seven and a no, and that game would be what unwatchable. But there's this major storyline right now I think that is going to have a lot. Of eyeballs on this game, not just New York New Jersey in Kansas City. It'll be nationally because people are GonNa want to see how Levian Bell plays against Adam engaged. So shortly after what was their grand fallout? Will he do he touchdown spike with beat Mug over towards him? Guess what will have so yeah, I hope so too. But that that's really the track force of interest by. This Game Hey Jacksonville and fort last six, this the fortieth meeting their nineteen, thousand, nine, hundred and one against each other jets employed. The chiefs relatively will the most not expecting it this week. But the most remarkable thing about the jets right now is that gates still has that job the first pick pete this since all these teams that fire their coaches, the get a little bump look. At the Texans, they fire bill, Lebron Ramiro Cornell gives them a bump. Now you went Trevor Lawrence. So once in a generational quarterback, you don't WanNA screw this up. They've already screwed it up before same Darlene we'll get to the jets in a minute. Here's Andy Reid when he spoke to the media today about the brief brief injury, reportedly keen city juice as far as I practice goes. Armani watches sick. You won't price today shorts and Sammy Watkins are getting better but. Will practice today so. Look forward to plan. The jets. Good football team well, coach. Well. The one thing about Armani watches USA. Well, Ronnie Watson still remember the she plays a special teams. Yeah. For the return to kick this year, he only had eight defensive snaps against Denver okays not utilized very often it came there in a backup role. But that's not the big news shorts. Didn't practice, but he says, they're getting better Chris Jones everybody else was full participant in practice on the injury separate Chris, Jones whose limited participant with that growing still which to me I giving the jets game off just he'll it out why push it? Your feelings on shorts and walk INS at they're coming back and what would you do with Chris Jones. Yeah I think the jets are a team where If there's any question like if it's not one hundred percent if it's like, okay, Schwartz is recovering but he's ninety nine percent same thing with Watkins and the hamstring and and you're just again still a little sliver up to doubt why play why play these guys you don't need them to beat the new. York jets I mean I know you don't WanNa look. At it like that or you don't WanNa take anyone lightly those were things that I. asked Patrick Mahomes Andy Reid about today and they're focused on beating the jets but that's not a game where you need to rush anyone back. It's not the Pittsburgh steelers and you're playing for an AFC by this is the New York jets you can beat them with some of. These injuries and it does remind me of that situation where like sometimes you'll see players held out through the bye week. Just like. Well, if we rest them this game, they'll have a good two weeks off their feet. That's to me almost like this jets game, it almost feels like a by the jets are kind of a buy week interesting neo, the depth. Chart. Keynote guests during the game notes for the Kansas City chiefs. There's Daniel Kilgore listed as the top center Austin Writers. Now, the second one chiefs do it is right I. Understand it's probably it's probably the PR and everything put the step chart together. But I think there's something to it. Rumors is slotted in left Gordon. We've seen him attack. So when comes back? Those remers take their guard spot or is it Nick Allegri? That's the question I think Nick Grady right now is playing for that starting position I. think the chiefs were really kind to Austin rider and pointed to his injury and and the the truth of it is at Austin Rider was benched right? So he's he's now not the starter for the remainder of the year so. You have Daniel Kilgore. They're rich Schwartz is still the starter at right tackle backs are interesting I know everyone was talking about how don Airey Poe is suddenly available. He was a guy that had back issues really never was the same. So let's wait and see with Mitch Schwartz. I wouldn't be super surprise considering that towards missed practice on Wednesday that we don't see him until. After the by just because can just considering you have to be really careful with with the back injury but you're right when he gets back it's his job. He's one of the better right tackles. If not the best right tackle in the national football league that left guard does become an interesting position. I. Thought that potentially remers when he played in that emergency game for Wiley. And played pretty well then he might take that job from Wiley Wiley. Got It back. So I really do think that the chief see Mike remers as this emergency anything but center player. So you pull him back out, you keep them fresh and allegany right now is playing well. So let him play until he proves otherwise brings a little bit of nastiness that they're missing wooden. He's dirty tough. Talk. The offense man. But rivers is interesting because he plays all the positions. Eighty read loves it but Daniel Kilgore. was. GonNa Retire back in Tennessee. Brett beach call eighty read calling i. mean there was an interest just watching film and talking to people in a guy that was not used all the time when he played center but there's definitely an interest with them. It's interesting what they've done with their centers because Austin Rider was here he started all year if the Super Bowl team he you know they got him from Cleveland he was a starter one game. In Cleveland Tornado. And boom here he is with the Kansas City chiefs. There was something the chiefs didn't like the offensive line has been playing really well lately and for what it's worth having. To, centers that you feel good about one gets hurt and mid game writers right there and can pick up right where he left off so to speak. So it's not a bad thing either and core COMPLA-, he deserves to be in there until again, the offensive line isn't performing as well. You know he filled in for was came irving in. CLEVELAND. New might have had an opportunity. No question chiefs hammered the Broncos forty-three sixteen, ten, th win over the Denver Broncos. And they did it in just a different kind of fashion show for eight on third downs. It wasn't again the office explosion that you wanted to see, but they didn't need it. They got a well need. They went from thirtieth in special teams view way to twenty four because of the Nice two yard return from Byron Prank, who I think his earn some playing time not only returner but I think we could see him sprinkled and even more at wide, receiver. Byron pringles interesting name it..

"We are going to discuss the situation in Libya so a few weeks ago, we had written about the one thousand Russian mercenaries that had arrived in country there, <hes> and the presence. Presence of unmarked MiG fighters, so I wanted to have <hes> Tony. Maybe you can set the stage for us. It's a very complicated battlespace that is emerging there with alliances that are very fluid, and what is really become a showcase or a testbed <hes> for a war of the future. So why don't you set up the security situation for us? And then we'll dig in and and talk about how the aircraft there are being used. Vive <unk> semis up. Pretty Fatty. That Jen. This harks back to the Arab spring, and the and the impact of that event across the Middle East and North Africa and also the fall of Colonel Gadhafi, and since then we've had this. On and off civil war, but now sort of developed into essentially two major sides who got the Libyan national? Army controlled by lethal halftime who made significant gains from his base in Benghazi sweeping across the country, and then we have the government of National Accord, which is a U N backed government which which? Controls Tripoli for a long time. Half ta basic swept across, took control of most of the oilfields on a much control of Libya, but then in recent months we've seen a resurgence of the genie's power, mainly, because it's backed by Turkish took a lot of effort into this campaign, and they've been fighting back, and we've seen sort of the GNA taking control of fields and towns across the area so particularly in the western half of the country the Libyan National Army Khalifa's army. <hes> has the backing of countries like the United. I M, Ritz Egypt and of course strain Russia, so it was sort of seeing this strange <hes> war. Complicated woman different sides. Some countries are undecided about which side to take. Which side is going to win. It's caught up in cobweb of mercenary groups and. Now introducing high levels of technology we're seeing. UAV's being used these Russian aircraft advance, Ground Base, defense systems, and also mercenary troops, being used in different ways and being bought in from different parts of of the Middle East to come and fight there. It's just it's become a little bit like Syria, but not quite the haphazard situation that has developed the. Brandon. Where is the US in this equation? A good question. It's <hes>. The the best answer right now is that it's complicated. <hes> ostensibly the US does support the GNA because that is the internationally recognized UN backed. Government but <HES>. It's important to remember that <hes> general huff. Tar is a creature of the United States in a sense <hes>. He did spend eighteen years here in northern Virginia <hes>. It said that he was working with the federal government for most of that time, if not all of that time and improving their understanding of <hes> events in North Africa during the latter years of the Gadhafi regime. So you know there have been a formal discussions between president. President, trump and half tar. They've actually spoken to one another <hes> there has there has been some limited <hes> at least diplomatic cooperation, but the US has stopped short of <hes> endorsing the as legitimate governments over the DNA <HES> so one more way Tony kind of had alluded to it a to it already one more way in which this is at all levels diplomatic, military, strategic, a very very fluid, dynamic, strange, complicated <hes> situation. That's unfolding there in Libya. Let's talk a little bit about the MiGs. We started to see satellite imagery of Russian aircraft landing on an airbase Dan. Can you bring us up to speed and give some detail about how they arrived in what happened to them after they came in? Yeah, so this is a the great. The great mystery of the conflict right now so in mid May <hes> satellite imagery showed that a MiG twenty nine had appeared at L. Giuffra. Airbase in central Libya and anyone that has access to the Internet can quickly find out. That Libya doesn't have MiG twenty nine fulcrum. So, where did this come from <hes> remarkably? Remarkably there had been some which essentially called rent a rumor intelligence, and the previous day's out MiG twenty nine, transiting from Russia to Syria, and then they just of stopped, and then a couple of days later. Oh, there it is! There's the MiG twenty nine in Libya and so people have been trying to piece I back, you know. Where did these come from? Who supplied them? And eventually on Africans in the US confirmed that they were rushing that they came from Russia, they flew through Iran and Syria and onwards syllabi. They went it. Was You know they say fourteen MiG twenty nine s you twenty fours. The mixture that is up for debate. There's been at least six <unk> twenty nine seen in Syria at the same time there was allegedly transiting. Their markings are painted over so these. Are you know I'm I'm going to be the first one to steal fray. Sorry guys the. Little Green jets. I got there first. So these. Are you know? Plausible deniability, whose are they really you know the most likely operated by Russians <hes> some people say that they're Belarusian. But they're almost certainly not. Unless secret training program kicks a long time to train foale. Gen fighter. These are not pilots in there. Almost certainly not Arab pilots in general. They were meant to tip the balance, but we haven't really seen them in action much so far. So what have you seen with them? Since and I understand, there are also some issue twenty fours in the region. Yeah so <hes> Brennan and I were talking about this. There's only been one confirmed action. They were used <hes> they hit a GNA convoy. Just recently that was transiting. Run the Oil Crescent, but mostly they seem to be kind of flying over top of their their bases, and they're just being held in reserve, almost a most satellite imagery of a Alqadi. That has the twenty fours in shelters. They haven't left. They arrived. They went into the shelters and everytime. Imagery passes over there, so they're not seeing not gone flying mission they just it was like a morale boost, and then they've stopped because I'm assuming losing one of the so soon into the conflict would probably be a PR move than when they arrived.

"Seen this. Is Chris. Wesleyan I'm here with Mark Sizzler. And LAKISHA Jackson. Wesleyan and LAKISHA MOM wrote. Oh we're all here at West Manor recapping ravens over jets and once again. Lamar Jackson sweeping the football bowl nation putting the MVP in the bag in my opinion mark. What say you well? I couldn't agree more. I mean you'd have to. He he would have to be essentially kidnapped. KNAPP tonight with no hope of returning for anyone else at this point to take the MVP award it was. It was amazing. He had sixty nine yards passing with about five plus to go in the third quarter and the jets seemed to be settling on defense not towards victory but just having a little bit of an effect on slowing down the Ravens and then suddenly the big plays came and Lamar Jackson winds up with two hundred twelve yards and five touchdowns through the air and I heard that he Coming down days. Essentially tied the franchise Ravens Record of none other than vinny testaverde from way back in the mid nineties. So I have a feeling the Mar- Jackson's GonNa snap a vinny t's record of old with two games to go. They have already broken franchise records for total. Td's points rushing yards and Lamar. Jackson is doing things no quarterbacks. Ever done and four quarterbacks picked ahead of him last year in the draft. We saw a lot of graphics about that tonight. They they have combined. Those four quarterbacks for three games of three or more touchdown passes this year. Lamar Jackson seven on his own. And he's supposed to be a runner. He broke vicks record in here is leading the NFL in passing touchdowns and just outpacing the other first round picks from his draft by miles and miles. I see a guy that just. He doesn't make mistakes. He doesn't kill you. Some of those other quarterbacks that we're talking about are still dealing with you know rashes of interceptions and and games were. They can't get out of their way. And there's fits and starts and regressions and I think we saw a little bit a little bit of that with Sam darnold tonight darnold or some really good stuff too. I thought the jets offense offense had a chance before the half on a broken down offensive drive to essentially a seven plus minute drive to get back into the game and they just couldn't do it. which has been a hallmark of the jets offense but darnold just does some incredible things here and there too? But Lamar Jackson does it. wire-to-wire minus the slumps the in game slumps he sort of immune to trends and strengths of the other team. The you know the jets came in and and they were allowing about seventy nine yards per game on the ground by twelve minutes into the game. They were already allowing ninety nine. I mean the Ravens. Just put that blitzkrieg on them and they had no answers. And that's true for every team Andrea Andrea. Kramer talk to Greg Williams the jets defensive coordinator before the game and he just said. There's no way to prepare for Jackson in the speed of this offense. You think trae convention had mentioned too that what you watch on tape. Is that unless you get to a point where teams played him three or four or five times the human beings on the field having to deal with his athleticism which is so different person than what you were watching on television. It's you're dealing with a completely different type of human being and essentially a different type of sport on some level level. Where they don't deal with this at all and it's it's a total blitzkrieg in shock and the way they line up like no other team with all those tight ends and you know forcing mismatches watches? We saw Neville Hewitt the poor jets linebacker picked on and coverage over and over again. I I think immediately of the Defensive Pass Pass interference where you've got a linebacker covering covering Hollywood Brown. The fastest player other than the more Jackson on the field. And that was you know a Gimme. Touchdown pass interference occurred in the end zone and you know a few more times throughout the game. It was Hewitt getting picked on markets may safety trying to cover one other water receivers. It was greg out there at some point he might have as good a chance of some these people. So yeah the Greg versus Hollywood Brown in a weight contest. That might be close. I'd want to see it So what else about this game mark. I thought that we did see the ravens struggle a little bit on special teams. Maybe there were special teams game of the year where they allowed some long returns. They had a punt blocked. Justin Tucker even missed. It's an extra point Dan. I'll be upset about that one I think he might be a little bit more upset about Sam Thick and at this point who. I'm not sure his employment in the world of football is going to be lasting much longer longer. We can't fault him for the one missed the one bad snap and and kind of a hold that made him miss the kick but I walked by the illustrious project pat at who he that's his nickname according to mark Ingram really yes. He seems to do something different. Every game plays fullback. Oh Pat Patrick Block. Some kicks quite the the guy. Yeah I thought for the jets that the Ravens got a lot of consistent third-down pressure on Sam Darnold and he was up to the task quite a bit. He he evaded pressure and still made some first downs. He had them on the move in the first half and for a while the the total yardage was pretty even it really was and they. They've not been a team team. They've been essentially defunct on third down the way bad teams are and at one point they converted. It wasn't all through the air five in a row and I just thought that darnold again they they hung around and on defense. James Burgess too big third down stops and Rose Marie exactly where you were just waiting for the jets is to get another score to pull it in but I just even so and it probably was a frustrating game for jet fans as most of these have been because you know that at some point that the Ravens are I'm GonNa hit it and explosive period again and then the score at the end showed that they just they just got super hot in the second. Half and Lamar Jackson through the air. And you know it's it's it we've talked talked about on our show. Have the ravens hit some sort of a slump or you know. Can they keep up their hot streak. You can see little moments where that questions relevant but unless less they have a terrible night like tonight on special teams that could've easily put another touchdown or two on the board here. They've been around. You know this as well as anyone for about twenty five years now and about twenty. Five percent of their forty point games in history have occurred this year. A quarter of their thirty forty point games. They have occurred with Lamar Jackson in one season. He's and out of those twenty five. That might be the most amazing stat out of all the amazing Lamar Jackson stats this year. Well their offense tilted and they in the end under Ozzie. newsome they struggle to find wide receivers and targets did tight ends and they certainly had nothing in the realm of quarterback like this. I want to know what the woman to your right thinks about this game. Oh my favorite part was my mom honestly. I had her come in there and watch the Erin Andrews pace with Lamar Jackson and Mark Ingram and just explaining like who he is. And we explain the whole Mike Vick record. And how all these quarterbacks were taken before him and then she just got so pumped up like it was just yeah. It was awesome some tweets and that was Hashtag road. Would you mind telling US give us a few just a few thoughts on it you can just you can free will at anything. You want to say well I just WANNA WANNA say that. Hey Lamar Jackson have my drilling going. I met this age now. I just don't want my drilling going book when my daughter described to me about Lamar Jackson is like I got to see him. She tell me. Where are we GONNA fly? Yes talking about getting our boss talking into our boss. I'm a I'm going to talk to your boss. Get Super Bowl tickets. I'll be that bold about it. Yes I say I would do anything to see the more Jackson. He was just that good. I mean he he goes out on and he just knows where he's throwing that ball and and he just knows where he's running and where he's going like he can see the whole field and that's how he played just yes. I'm just so amazed them mesmerized by him it's like he was awesome and the The turnover it's my favorite exchanges tonight. Rotas said alright. Ravens do some ghost place and he. What's IT ghost? Plane wrote a preceded delay. Exactly what play action pass means and yes and the more played them goes play so well I mean us. I'll be like okay. Where's the ball? I can see actually is like. He just has me so mesmerized. I can see just every little snapping any other time I play the game. I'm like where's the ball I. I don't know but hey he was really good and not just like the interceptor by number thirty six which the ball were ten to four brown eighty seven avenue and it was like wow look at these players I mean. Hey Hey you got me. I'M GONNA be watching you all the way through and you go all the way you know what I like that you oh you. You were able to ascertain things that people who don't watch football regularly would not have picked up immediately. You said what I love about this ravens team just from watching him one time time. Good teamwork there so supportive of each other. They're they are so enthusiastic for each other. And you see that with Ingram and Lamar Jackson anytime. They're interviewed they just have that Camaraderie and the whole city being swept into it like you know the first drive of the game. They're chanting MVP. Already because Lamar is marching down the field. It's like I'm a browns fan and they in the Ravens road. Hashtag road came from the Cleveland Browns. And that I did. I could not stand the concept of the Ravens for up until a couple months ago and I have a seven year old boy and he's watching the Mark Jackson and having the seven year old version of your reaction. I think he's making new fans at a people that would be disinterested otherwise. And and I'm trying to explain to my seven year old. Not Every quarterback looks like this in fact nobody does. This is a rare thing that you're watching right now so steelers fans talking about you know all can't help it like how can you not love Lamar like he just draws you in like he so exciting to watch kids can we. Can we get you wrote it to get on twitter and to get a twitter account because because you'd quickly at based on that speech have about fifty thousand followers. Oh well we can change. We can change post pictures of her but I knew if I the moral Jackson way he played never know. Hey days aerobraking just take it for right now. He's a mold tim but we never know..

"But don't come to me if you're a New Yorker, pointing the finger at Sam darnold and blaming him. I'm not saying he was perfect. He was far from it. He wasn't even impressive. And that interception. That interception at two over the middle and double coverage with inexcusable. It was amateur written all over it. No question about it. And I got that. What does a lot of blame to go around to the New York Jets show Bert in theft thing him off of that terrible pass that Sam Donald because curse was double covered. And we get that. Everywhere you've said. Maybe you shouldn't have concussed. Tyrod Taylor might have helped you Moore's clayborn. Could we hold down. On a holding penalties. That would be nice. Trick play to Phillies special. Do Johnson flipped it to Jarvis Landy who throws a path? Baker Mayfield an insult to Todd on a two point conversion. The jets had miscommunication, whatever the hell you wanna call it. Todd Bowles, they call said, excuse won a few penalties. We had. We gave them life before to have. We had two of them. We have one day on a two point conversion that we had no business happy, and we let them back in the game and some some key penalties and it costs us. We lost DACA poacher. I am happy for the Cleveland Browns. I think they'll beat Oakland in Oakland next week unless Jon Gruden father pass, rush. Well, let's see what they do. Let's see what make a may feel does particularly in the weeks to come against Baltimore against the charges on the road against Tampa Bay in Pittsburgh. Even though Pittsburgh they got back to back by weeks as far as I'm concerned against defenses, says Pittsburgh on October twenty eighth and Kansas City at home on November. Fourth would be back to back games in a by playing defense in that game, not on that side of the ball. Cleveland might play divas not those two teams. But I'm just saying, let's pump the brakes. Let's calm the hell down the stop acting like Baker Mayfield is Joe Montana and Sam Donald is subtly Ken O'Brien. Let's stop it. Three days to prepare for Greg Williams defense. Let's be fair it at eight. Say ESPN. It's edited seven to nine, three, seven, seven, six, seven now. So I wanted to get into. Odell Beckham, junior, and his comments about the New York Giants. He's not happy and I applaud him for not being happy. Neither is Antonio Brown. Both of them had a lot to say. Both of them had a lot to say and I don't blame them one bit. This is Beckham talking. I feel there's no way you can't score a touchdown in every quarter and then one somewhere else. It just doesn't seem unrealistic to me. I feel personally I could score two touchdowns every game. I feel like saquon score to every game. I feel like this other people on this team who can score every single game that's over thirty five points. It's just a matter of executing they're making it happen. Really it doesn't seem out of reach in my mind. I don't want to win twenty four twenty one. I'm trying to win fifty two eighteen. Nobody said it had to be close. He's complaining and he's right Odell Beckham junior is a superstar. He's a superstar talent. He can't do much because he can't get involved. The question is, why do you point the finger at Eli manning and put primarily the blame on his shoulders? Or do you look at that offense of line Gettleman and Sherman and others have not put together? I got news for you, Eric plows into only problem at at right, tackle on the giants offense of line. What the hell is state sold the done. I don't think he's been that impressive in his pass blocking ally manning certainly might be holding onto the ball a little bit longer. He might be indecisive because he might be scared. Now aged thirty seven, having taken a punishment that he is taking. I've never seen ally manning look at shell shock like a deer coordin- headlights the way he looked last Sunday. No question about it. And the end may be near far much sooner than later than we thought when it comes to ally manning which brings into question whether or not the giants made the right decision..
