What's The Real Tea on Celebrity Beauty Brands?
"I think it's time to dive into our topic of the day and it's all about the real behind the latest celebrity brands that have come to light in the last year and i feel like in the last six months. It's been like every other day. You're seeing a celebrity step to get their piece of the beauty pie so in the last month even we've had covey skin debut in. That's from that model emily. Dj auto Haven't tried that yet. Gene are just confirmed to wall street journal Yesterday that she has a skincare line coming. Hebrews filed the trademark for road. It goes on and on and on fantasy harris dropping soon if the internet is to be believed and yesterday kris jenner and chrissy teigen launched a whole personal care home line of cleaning products. So it just doesn't stop so Why do you think this deluge of launches his happening right now. We would discuss day because we feel like celebrity brands was such a huge thing years ago when they will launching fragrances right and every snaps had a fragrance so like the thing to do and just kind of went silent i think with the rise of influences and influence a marketing and i guess people feel like they can trust influences. Moreover celebrities and mike percy kind of celebrities want a taste of that now they want to put the names backout. They still want to be the authority on beauty in general. I guess so. I think as far as skincare goes it seems such a surge in popularity especially over the last year of locked down and people wanting to expand with skin moon. I felt like everyone was of the pie.

"Let's talk about this whole kylie jenner go fund me situation. Yeah it would love to okay so for anybody who is unaware. What's going on samuel route. A who is a makeup artist in la. He's most probably known for his handle at makeup. By samuel and in terms of the car dashing community. I personally know him because he does dasa's make lot. He was in this terrible accident this last weekend and he's very close friends. Reo who's kylie's makeup artist and so kylie had posted a photo him with the caption on her story. Watch over you protect you. Make up by samuel. Everyone take a moment to say a prayer for sam who got into an accident this past weekend and swipe up to visit his family's go fund me and when you swipe up the goal for the medical bills with sixty thousand dollars so immediately twitter was kinda sent into a frenzy of people saying you know why kylie jenner. Who's the billionaire asking for her fans and followers to help support this goal of sixty thousand dollars. That is basically packaged share. I will say from what i saw on twitter. A lot of people thought that this was her direct makeup artist and friend arielle which it's not as more acquaintance but anyway that was the initial reaction. I'm sure you all saw that a little bit after that. Tmz came out with an article. That says quote. We're told there's a misconception at sixty k. figure everyone's quoting the original target amount for this go fund me when it first launched with ten thousand dollars and our sources say kylie's five thousand dollar donation. Put it over the top as it was already six thousand dollars at the time since then. The targeted has ballooned likely because of the attention kylie brought it by posting the link on her instagram story. Then i mean just within the last hour kylie made a story and said i feel. It's important for me to clear up this false narrative that ask fans for money and i'm not paying for a makeup artist medical bills. Sam isn't my makeup artist. Unfortunately we don't have a personal relationship anymore. But i've worked with him a few years ago and think he's the sweetest. I saw my current makeup artisan friend arielle. Posted about sam's accident families go fund me and i called immediately to see what happened to sam after learning in more detail about the accident and can tell me visit his go fund me which is set a ten thousand dollars.

A billionaire was nice enough to post on her story to go fund me for her personal hairstylist. Sixty thousand dollar surgery and she herself donated five k. Good for her. We wouldn't have ruckers at hit. We would not personally match kylie. Jenner's five thousand dollars. And i think that kylie can probably make the case that the exposure that she gave the go fund me via re tweet was probably worth. What two hundred thousand dollars. Is that kind of going right. So really her. Her hairstyles owes her Would that be a one hundred forty thousand dollars so she should expect an invoice for this. So she's just you know she's training for all the reasons

Kate Eberle Walker & The Nine Ways Leaders Can Support Women at Work
"Kate. Welcome to dose of leadership so excited to have you here. Thank you richard. Happy to be here. it's fun. i read the book. The good boss nine as every manager can support women at work. I was talking to the prerecording with you. I've got four daughters. I've had many women on this show talking about this. It's a fun topic or fascinating topic for me to talk about. I've had lots of experiences working with women. And of course seems like. I've always struggled saying the right things for my daughter's to get them to to navigate what it's like to work in this this this world so is tell me. Why did you write this book. What what's the purpose of the book. Why did you sit down and write this. So i wrote the buck. After a couple of realizations was that i women women would come to me. Come to me often for career advice. You know how did how did you get into the c. suite. How did you get where you are. And i recognized that the advice that i would give was mainly about how to maneuver through a a land of men. And so so much of what i thought of as you know the the keys to success was really about you know. How do you adapt yourself tip to play in this world. That wasn't built by you or for you so that that was one thing then when i when i became a ceo. I realized something very different. Which was it is so much easier to really change things when you're in charge your of Maybe stating the obvious but leaders people your people in power have the power to change things and so you know i wanted to start to change my perspective. About what what every ceo hr leader manager should take responsibility for in In supporting women at work. And then i think the yet the last realization was. I started going around in asking other women who had successful. What what do you say when when women ask you advice. What's what's the key to your success. What's the secret. And i just over and over again heard this common. Refrain of you know really do anything in particular. I just had a really good boss. Just found a really good so it was that that idea of you know what what a woman needs in the working environment. Today is to have a really good boss who engages in giving her opportunities and in changing workplace to be better when originally was thinking about why you wrote this book away started diving into it. I think instinctively. I thought or intuitively. I thought oh. This'll be a great but for women. Obviously as i started reading it. I said this is a book for me. This isn't written for you. Know how for women to succeed in the business. This is written for guys like me who find myself in leadership positions and how can be good boss. I mean the title says it all. But i don't know it just kinda shows those kind of inherent biases from our culture. That kind of present themselves. Even even when i picked up this book i love how you wrote it in a fun. Oh this is for me. As i started reading it. I think i might literally say that in the introduction. You know ma- male managers. This is for you. Yeah you do have to be fairly explicit to overcome the the bias. That's out there. I never the sixteen years. I worked in the corporate arena and i worked for. I told him prerecording that when the best leaders i've ever worked for was a woman with the worst leaders ever worked for was a woman elected. Talk about about that. Yeah yeah so the woman who was the best. When i look back on it with experience in a digest it and think why was she such an effective leader. It was because she did not make gender wasn't even ish so just naturally authentically. Jenner was even an issue. It wasn't part of identity that makes sense. You know what i mean like and so we in so every time we were working. Everybody's working together. It was like none. All of those things were off the table. The one that was the worst possible work for it was so front and center that it made everything so weird and uncomfortable that makes sense and and that. That's as i when i was in it. I didn't recognize it as such. But as i as i step back in kind of reevaluated. That's that's why it was that way. What do you think. Would you hear me say that. I mean i think there's there's a lot to take that idea of you. Know what what dimensions do you show yourself or presented by yourself in the workplace. And i think there is Gender is you know it's it's very it's very obvious. And it's something that you know people use as a way of sorting or defining. Do us as you know self defining as you know big part of who they are and yet something that talked about in the book that i that i find. I really admire in leaders of companies. Where i think they've built a culture that really kind of moves beyond gender is it's because they they create the create interactions and environment at work where people are people show more dimensions of themselves. You know there's there's this question of do you. It is work personal. Or do you have a professional persona and a personal percent in and the two don't necessarily mix and a yo. I am definitely a on the side of everything's personal. Everything's your a bunch of humans working together and that's what new organization as and you need to xiao all sides of yourself to really be authentic. The allow them to be happy at work. And i think that when you do that gender you move away from gender
Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kanye West
"Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce after seven years of marriage. This coming from our friends at TMZ, which means You can take that to the bank because there's only one person who talks to TMZ. And that's Kris Jenner on behalf of Kim Kardashians. So what we know is that camp now again, this is coming from TMZ. So Take it for what it's worth. I think we can take it to the bank, though it's not like sources say. The story says Kim is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's four kids. Sources with direct knowledge say Kanye is fine with joint custody. And we're told that Kim and Kanye are committed to co parenting. Well, that's interesting, okay? Exactly why is that
Why Kendall Jenner's tequila is being criticized
"Let's move onto kendall jenner and her tequila. Yes yes that's the man that's the on. Let me see. Let me see if i got this tweet. The tweet basically said that went viral was on a meeting. My laptop jenner's tequila is called eight. One eight directs. So yeah so. The streets said kendall jenner starting to heal brand with zero knowledge of on mexican culture and colony eight when they think is gentrification the eight one eight does not claim calabasas. What about those smaller family owned mexican tequila scholar brands. They deserve the hype. And so now the tweet that went viral. That i did see. So the issue is the fact that she's naming the eight. She's really not funny when she's from calabasas which is like the rich part of the when he was also probably lived in. Encino on again is the rich part of the day when eight valley super super valley. But it's been terrible of our above. There is a little bit different situation financially. Ya but see years you bring up a good point. Let the tweet said. Why don't we give the attention to the mom and pop brands. And that's so true like white. Why don't we warming because we like what we like to think. A companies have done better job making better tequila branding. It better But do i am. I offended as a mexican offended. That kendall is starting to a meal chettle speaking. I'm not offended. You gotta look at it like this to. I'm sure the people producing the la are from cadiz. Go so right. Yeah so that in a way she's generating jobs down in mexico more. Holly i mean it's taken from the mexican heritage but she's also financially given given to the people in a way i mean they're working for but you look at george clooney right. What does he cuss amigos. First of all people love to hate the card ashes number one number two eight one eight probably pissed people off so you know that's the thing that she has some strikes against her and that's what's helping. You would also sucks though. I'll say this. I don't think people were coming at the rock. They coming at george kalonzo weather coming at for brand only female. That's another way that. I i see what you're saying. I see why it within a female though. It's the cardiac. I think more than right leslie. I am dj for them. And i know you're going to play you know you're going to be polite here. But other people love to hate on them right. Oh yeah absolutely. Like they have to really. It's like they're walking on eggshells almost the questions. They just have to be very careful. Which is why i think they should have probably thought of the name a little bit more. You know but then again who's to say like like you said jeff. They grew up in the eight one eight. It wasn't. It wasn't the hoodie way. But it was still the eight one eight personally. I don't have a problem with it. I would have done more research on the name and she could've done like all the sisters together like you know named it. Four sisters done that in spanish lot. Cut akilah yeah. I like that would have been cool. I hope that when she campaigns for this tech you can talk when she campaigns for this tequila. I hope that she incorporates. The real eight one eight campaign you know like like panorama city point did all those cities and so more in san fernando. Panorama city pajama friggin. A north hollywood is where i was born so like i just really really hope that that she she you know incorporates the actual culture the actual mexican culture and eight when he culture in her campaign by the way the keillor's produced by gopher essay are the seven distillery. And how these again. She's providing jobs in a way. And and and i guess taking from us as mexicans culture right but i tequila that grew and kendall at you need some models for your camp pay the cruise show including you. Got the crucial baby girl. We will do sponsorship right here.
Are You Getting The Most Out Of Infosec Conferences
"Hi everyone and welcome to the cyber-security sonal. Thanks for joining us for another session. Where we sit out the hot topics insecurity welcome to all our listeners and be sure to follow us on twitter at hashtag. Cyber zone info conferences give cybersecurity professionals a chance to network here. The latest research exchange ideas and demo hacks and new tools but with so many conferences decide which wants to attend ho. Can you get the most out of your experience. Are they worth your time and money. What's it like to be a percenter or even an organizer today. We're speaking to f secure and founder of the t two infosec conference and nordheim mark head of coms for the nordic security event disobey and vice-chairwoman for health check association. Can you share with us. A little bit about your background and your involvement with infosec conferences in the background is on demos. San non freaking seen So naturally when. I when the first infosec conference he's came to be. I was really really curious. But the problem was that most of them were held in us So eagerly waiting for the european scene to wake up and when the first black hat came to europe. It was too damn most probably your two thousand or so. I booked my tickets there on being the fee niamh of first thing. I landed that the hotel. I went to the hotel bar and saw some guys there by t shirts on and when to the table and ask them so is it. Okay if i join you guys. And they're really. Yeah yeah yeah sure. Sure on four o'clock in the morning There was a guy called thor Of hammer of god. He asked me that. You're going to be talking about tomorrow and tandy and they were like okay cool and then because i was caught a part of the crew by now They invited me to all these cool. Invite only conferences like ph neutral. That was taking place in berlin and so on. And that's basically how i got involved. I'm like a person who pick and choose this. I'm not the one goes to the physical conferences. 'cause i what i would like to just know the topic and like ask around for my peers is something that you would recommend to listen or watch or whatever Because i'm not the kind of person who wants to attend to these these misleading conferences and all is these sales pitches. That's not ideal from. Am so yeah. I'm kind of picky. So therefore i i'm more and more no turning into surfing around the web and trying to ask from pierce what they would recommend me to attend like virtually roy do you do you go to physical events like at all. Yes i did. You know pre crow. Not yeah the disobey being kind of like the main event for me. It's near live in helsinki. That's kind of one that i've been like recently participated in so speaking of the recommendations like sometimes these events on conference get like glowing reviews Sometimes you just hear that they are like you said a waste of time. So what in. Your opinion makes good conference. I think the people who know their area of expertise. They're passionate about showcasing their findings so whatever and really like giving the practical examples of how they do it. That's interesting and inspiring obviously have pretty strong opinions about this one. The reason why. I founded t to was that i sold the difference between commercial offerings. An invite only events in a if you would go to places like si- mantech conference or something like that you see. These horrible sales pitches that would actually provide us zero value. And you would really learn anything besides maybe using a tool or two and then on the invite only events. You could see that. Yeah i i was playing this game called second life and then i used that port scan the internet and so on so that the discrepancy or the difference between these two it was. It was just huge. And i won't eat to have something like that. So i had some pretty strong ideals or opinions How a good security conference would look like first of all i think. Independence is a key thing here. So no sponsor can impact or affect the agenda no product picci's on each jenner represent theories on their estate on the stage because of their skills and and This is not true for majority of the conference is for of majority of the conferences. You buy this platinum sponsorship baggage or something You get a keynote. And is it's basically we have reach reached some ridiculous Papering points for this one because you go to. Rsa kino's is worth something like five hundred thousand eurostar. Something ridiculous so. I don't think that really serves the audience too. Well transparency i. that's the key ingredient. That's well so be honest how y'all don't sell your delegate packages to outsiders and so on that this is a common thing that i learned early two thousand and three or so that it's common practice that if you attend any type of event those delegates lists got sold
Aaron Rodgers -- Think I'll be back with Green Bay Packers, but there are no absolutes in NFL
"Here talking aaron rodgers and relationships one of those two things. I know a lot about. Actually i know a lot about relationships too so shortly after the packers lost the. Nfc title game. Roger said his future is a beautiful mystery member that well in case you didn't take a listen and see how he now evident yesterday on the fat macrey show guys futures. Uncertain myself included. That's what's sad about most getting this far obviously is going to be an end to it at some point whether we make this or not but just the uncertainties from the finality of it'll now obviously after the season that i had You know potentially when mvp and you know we made it another good run. I don't think there's any reason why wouldn't be back. But look i think there's. There's not many absolutes you know in this business so to to make an absolute statement about something that is not an absolute just i. I didn't do it. You know. And i i guess that's why i went kind of nuts amount. I like you don't like you. I want to stay mixed messages. They're pro running back. Brian westbrook is joining us. Brian good morning to you. Glad you're here because we want to know what you make of. Aaron rodgers mixed messages will. Good morning jenner. And if you would ask my wife she would say that. I'm the king of mixed messages. But in this case. I don't that this is a mixed message at all. I think this was two things number. One it was aaron rodgers. Who was the mvp. Lee taking a shot at organizationto and basically say hey. You got to draft quarterback last year. And look what i just did. I just had an mvp season. So that's the number one thing. The second thing is. I think this is a player afternoon. Emotional game losing an emotional game. Nc championship game and he was basically saying who's being open. He was being candid and he was talking from the heart in. I remember the last last three or four years of my career. And of course i'm not gonna go conversation where aaron rodgers. Certainly but my was always. I don't know what's going to happen next year. I'm under contract. But i don't know what's going to happen. The team may move on. They're certainly going to be different players on his team. And there was always a thought that things may not go the way that i want them to and i think this is all that we're seeing for mayor. Rogers and lastly. I think we have to consider this. Aaron rodgers was standing across the field for tom. Brady tom brady. That was in new england for twenty years that nobody thought would ever need. Everyone felt he would end his career in new england because of all the success. He's had but now. Tom brady has moved on twenty season to go to tampa bay and his enormous success. Just beat me on our home field. You have to be crazy to think that aaron rodgers not saying to myself. What if i was to go to another team and maybe have a different type of success. That i haven't been able to have here in green bay. I think aaron rodgers was feeling all those emotions and because of that. That's why a lot of people think gets mixed signal

"I have been an entrepreneur businesswoman for a very long time. I have somehow managed to do that while running my family and enjoying my family. But when i look at someone like kris jenner and i see what she has done. It is so admirable because it's so epic she has so many kids and she also is a grandma to these gorgeous kids and she has somehow figured out how to combine it all and she always seems so unflappable. She is a combination of grit and heart. And i think that's very amazing personality. Hey karez so nice to see you bobby. So nice to see you too. I just want to say how excited i am to talk to you. You are my first guest on the new season. I'll thank you for inviting me. That makes me happy. And i just want everyone to know because people that have listened to me and listen to all my different things like. I don't usually get like gideon excited but i i seriously. I was introduced to chris through a mutual friend. Richard baker and chris the text right away and you said to me. I'm really busy. Can i call you thursday. And i said sure and i just assumed i would have to call your assistant and your publicist and you know whoever else and you texted me said is this good. Nice amazing chris Thank you well. You know i first of all such a big fan of yours. I think Just you're who you are what you stand for your an icon in beauty business and somebody that It just. I've always looked up to. And i love your products over the years and just that you've built In your career and it gives others inspiration and grey Just great hope that you know when you have a passion or a love for something that you two can go out and conquer the world so thanks for inspiring so many of us to do a little bit of what you've done over the last few decades. Well i mean. Honestly if i had a mirrored hold it up to you to say back at who but honestly what what you have done from you know being a businesswoman to what you've done with your children and creating these like legacy brands is amazing. Have you always been entrepreneurial like were you the kid that had a lemonade. Stand i actually. I was i i was. I figured it out at a very young age. Because i knew what i wanted and i couldn't always have it. I remember when i was in grade school. And my mom Really wanted me to go to this brownie cam by. She couldn't always afford to think the extra things that i wanted to do. So i went out and sold enough girl scout cookies. I you know. I kicked ass now. Cookies to all my neighbors and the same thing happened with some a can't quite remember what it was but it was an event during the summer and we had to go out and raise enough money so that i could go to this thing and so we sold candies and other kinds of candies door to door. And i and i nailed that. Because i think i was a really good sales person and i i got to learn a lot about Just you know those kind of skills growing up and how to how to use them or really. Good 'cause where you also a good student or was that not your forte I was. I was a pretty good student. I was always a good girl I didn't like math so i didn't do. Well in algebra. And then i took it over in summer school and got an aide just of showed my mom that if i put my mind to something i could nail it but i had. I don't have the most incredible attention span for periods of time. Like i do things. And then i move on to something else. I'm a great multitasker. Well clearly clearly. We started this interview. When you're talking to one of your daughters live. Who's who's because something wasn't on. And i can only imagine what goes in your brain all these different businesses. So i mean. When did you get the idea for the kardashians for the show. Well early Early on when. I started having kids One of my best friends. And kendall and kylie godmother is kathy lee gifford and kathy lee for years i've known her for forty five years and for years she would say to me. You know you're this. Life you live is so insane. You've had so many lives are like a cat with nine lives and it's just the most nobody would believe what goes on in a day around here. She would always say to me. You really should have a show. And i would say oh you know go on. You know. we're just crazy and and love living life and i love my kids and so I met a girl named deena katz. Who's casting director dancing with the stars. And i met her through a mutual friend and Long story short. She came over for dinner one night and saw the drama and she goes. I've gotta talk to ryan seacrest. I need to set you up with a meeting. So i met with ryan pitched it to the network and the rest is history. Well an end and you have one more year. We do on our last season right now. Which will air in. Twenty twenty one. So yeah we've would will have completed twenty seasons. Why almost fifteen years later at amazing. When did you figure out that your girls could all have these incredible beauty brands. Will you now. I think the thing about finding your way and developing a career really starts with what you wanna do with your life and your passion. And i'm sure you know that more than anybody and i think when we started the show and i say this all the time there was barely twitter. There was no instagram. There was no snapchat there wasn't all social media platforms and But we recognize fairly quickly. Kim did actually that. She had a real relationship with her social media followers in the viewers on the show. And just the whole thing. There was so many of us that there was somebody that you know.

"Well all right alex. Hey great talking to you again really appreciate your time. we're back for some more design intent. Myself tony orlando. Daniel phipps aaron hernandez and of course the creator founder. Alex you'll have to pronounce your last name for us. Alex this niece okay. Well let's go. The ad is okay so similar site so happy to talk to you guys Maybe we can you introduce yourself of where you guys worked So the the reason why we gather today is because. I won't do this interview because i often have. This kris jenner of You should be working in their constituency our in house because Differences that can happen at the end of doing years of working. In hostile working inconsistency you will have a very different skaters. So that's why. I think it's it's good to have both side here on in this interview. we antonio who Will introducing serve but is basically designed neither at delta and we have a daniel simpson everyone who are like with fund design. Now at so we really to weld one with the in house we've constituency so that's Good interview to learn on the. What are the pros and cons of each side. Yeah i think that's good. That's a good topic. I know i have people asking me that all the time. I'll let you go first daniel since you're okay you've kind of been around in both worlds. Sure i have the i. I don't know fifteen years of my career. Kinda bounced back and forth a little So right now. I'm with access design actually started the company in two thousand and five so i guess Two thousand and twenty. That would be fifteen years prior to that. I worked for a couple of different Companies delving one of them. I worked for ibm and then another one and in between there i worked at a short stint at it consulting company up in the chicago area as well so for the first part of my career bounced back and forth a little bit and then i kinda finally may finally made the decision of okay thank the consulting thing is is a good place for me to rest for a while and so. That's what i've been doing since. Two thousand and five fifteen years running running your own small business correct consulting for various companies all over the country to some more for international companies as well So yeah and for the record. I've actually hired dan quite a bit to do work for me. Working adele so I'll i'll give a quick introduction of myself. I'll give a bit of a history later. I'll let aaron kinda talk about his his role. But i'm antonio designed enter for latitude no dell and i've been with dell thirteen years now but i've been in the industry for quite a long time erin so my name is aaron and i work here with daniel. I had access. I've been here for a little bit over two years two and a half years and a half years and this is all the experience or real real world. experience have had And i know it's a. It's a huge question whenever you're graduating or you're about to graduate or you're in school it's like what wh- what what she do. She go the consultant route or the more corporate route so i hope People get to learn how many years of experience you have in the field. Two and a half advocate. So that's that's you can give us the formula have i did. I have twenty years of experience. In most of it is inconsistency so we we have like like a goo- good of people different spectrum invasions on the same on this. I if one thing i would say that anybody getting out and design new in the design world or even established the design where i think the most single most important thing he can do is make sure that the the mentor that you work for or with is the right mentor for you. I i think that's you know my career was was the last with with really fantastic. Mentors when i would start at. Ibm right out of graduate school. And if it wasn't for those guys in al i'll name them John swansea was probably the first designer that i worked for for a long time who retired from ibm lenovo a few years ago. He worked there for over twenty five years. I

"And I've had my mind blown along the way by the people the far off places I have been and the life altering events that have changed my life forever. My goal is to help you dive deep it to some of the issues of our modern daylight societies. Fatal conveniences the things that we do that were indoctrinated into thinking we have to even though those things are negatively affecting us and in some cases slowly destroying us and even killing us every week I have honest conversations with people that inspire me. My hope is through their knowledge and unique perspectives. They'll inspire you to together. We'll explore how you can make small tweaks in your life that amount to big changes for you the people around you and the planet. So let's do this. This is my show the lean show everybody welcome to my first ever episode of the Derna. Lean show thank you for tuning in. I'm excited I've actually been wanting to do this. And Push it off for about seven years. So many people before podcasts. Were even thing kept telling me to do this. And I've always had so much on my plate or perceived. I have and have not done it. But I've done it so I actually have logged about ten or so podcast before the pandemic so I had an intro but I really felt like well. That's crazy It was before the pandemic and that makes no sense. I have to at least acknowledged the new world that we're living in when I recorded all these things we weren't in that and I did it months ago in some cases so I just need to acknowledge that this is a weird world and long form thought and discussion and connection is more important than ever. Let me just say that more important than ever to connect have long form unedited discussions and idea is and freedom of speech because we're absolutely being strangled by big corporations telling us what we can and cannot say and that's just not gonna fly with all of us the world certainly as Americans nobler no man and no good. So that's a long way of saying man. I'm stoked my first launch. And my very good friend Brandon Jenner. He's my first. Guest is about a decade younger than me. If you don't know who brandon. Is you kind of probably already do in some way? Because his father is Bruce Jenner. Caitlyn Jenner so he comes from a pedigree of strong DNA Olympian DNA. His Mom Linda Thompson. Who is this beautiful angel of a person got to meet her and know her and she's a bad ass herself? One of Elvis Presley's loves of his life and then later on she met. Bruce had brody And Brandon so brandon as a brother Brody Jenner and so- Linda and Bruce at the time had these two beautiful kids and so the story goes they broke up. David Foster became brandon and Brody Stepfather. Highly influential music producer. And probably help them move into the music scene. Like they're both are. And then Bruce at the time got connected with the Kardashians and then there you go. The story goes so brandon's step. Siblings are Kendall and Kylie Kardashian. And then he's step brother to Courtney Kim Khloe and Rob Kardashian there you go. Wow I mean and there's so many more connections but I don't WanNa make it about that. Brandon is one of the sweetest humans talented checkout his music. He's got his mom by the way Linda Thompson. One of the great writers of our time. Looker up from Whitney Houston Kenny. Rogers tons of hot top music lyricist songwriter. While Brandon's right there had listened to his words. Listen to his music I love his frigging music and he's just an amazing soul so before we recorded this as well. He was about to have twins with his new bride. So now he's had those twins so he's got to fraternal boys And his whole life is changed as well stayed the same to in terms of who is amazing human. So I'm excited for you guys to get to know this awesome fellow bad ass beautiful human. Enjoy this episode. Enjoy my first episode. Subscribe leave your comments. All of that jazz love you. I'm excited to bring this to you. I would. I would hope that by a sharing my perspective. On the way I see the world and at least the lessons that I've learned in my life hopefully will give a little bit of insider inspiration to other people that might see. That might also understand how unique of an upbringing. I've had If don't minutes miss it's all good but I I do. Enjoy talking about My upbringing and part of the reasons why I became who I am today Because you know in in hopes that somebody will just find a little bit of of inspiration in it You're right my dad. Caitlyn Jenner my mom. Linda Thompson My Stepdad was David Foster Music Guy and I I end up a music producer very successful and I ended up actually getting into music rather than athletics. I kind of did both growing up because I was almost always told that with the last name. Jenner. You're supposed to be the best at you. Know right so as a little kid. I always like tried harder because I had some really had something to prove and then But music is what really stole my heart from a young age and took me until going to college until I really realized that. That was what I wanted to do full-time I had a bad knee. Injury ride motocross and so that was kind of like. I didn't really want to spend my life getting beat up like that so I figured there was a lot more longevity. you know. I I think about this when when you go to college and you see people that have been sheltered. Their whole lives have not been exposed drugs and alcohol and not let to stay out late Stephan. They're just a danger to themselves like freshman year. They're just out of control right whereas the kids that kind of grew up a little bit quicker of a little bit of exposure to that yes not as conservative exactly and so I I kinda see like my my upbringing in that way a little bit. Where from a very young age I was exposed to fame and fortune. It was all around me. My parents were well off and were famous and they always had very famous people over very well off people over and I realized very young age that one they were human beings just like the rest of us. You know they don't. They're no healthier. They don't have more time. They can't buy more time than any of us. Have they still Feel sad they still You know bite their tongue in conversations they still feel all these same feelings and the truth is is that a lot of the times the people that had especially the most fame also had the darkest energies around them they just kind of like like it was almost like they were a target even in any social situation it was like they felt a little bit like everybody staring at them and they were a target and and they were a bit more isolated. Because you just can't go out and do the same bed bath and beyond errands and all that stuff is you know a normal person can so there's certain isolation that comes with it so I I realized from a young age that that pursuing those things wasn't GonNa make me any happier So I've most mostly in my life. I focused on things that are going to bring me true. Happiness and the big one for that is friendships. Real friendships family. I have a daughter now and I've twins on the way so being a good dad you know saying good night to your daughter and kissing her on the forehead as she goes to sleep and she runs to you the first thing in the morning. It's like there's nothing better than than those things and so you know I try to be a I try to. I strive to be a good friend a good family member or good dad And then if I can inspire people with what I do with my music which is which has been happening which does happen. It gives me this real sense of purpose. Like what I'm doing in this life is worth it and You know so I I really my life has just been focusing on the things that are GonNa bring me real happiness not the things that that other people that maybe they pursue later in life and they get a little bit of fame and they get a little bit of fortune then they realized late in life. This isn't making me any happier. There was something that was missing all along so I potentially.

I was looking for another word. She is the leader and she's also interestingly Ellen's friend and I say interestingly because if you would've asked me say ten years ago do you think in Kris Jenner would be friends. I would go probably not. And they've become she. She knows aside and sees a side of Kris Jenner. That I don't even think is on Kris Jenner show and she really really likes her and the whole family likes her. Anyway she was here. That's it over the course of the year. But anyway, I'm watching how this these crooks these millennial corrects are going to pull off this huge scam. And they go out, and they get all of these influencers. They're called on social media going out there and post the exact same thing. This orange tile. And this was going to pop up on everyone's screens scrolling at the same time, and they were going to click on this video that they made in the Bahamas with all of these top models. They spent all this these top models talking about this once in a lifetime experience that they were going to have in the Bahamas. The whole thing if you actually thought about it was completely ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. I didn't even know this thing was taking place. I'm really good at conference game. I know that this thing was taking place I would have spotted this fraud and a matter of seconds. But thousands of people bought into it. And I found it. Kind of fascinating to me. I thought about it a little bit and these influencers, and I guess what's your name there? Now kendall. Jenner KENDALL Jenner. I think she gets two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for any post on social media. That's she gets paid. And I put this into perspective. How I saw it again, I love history. And I I've talked about Greek mythology and the Greek gods here on the program. What we've created here in this social media world of ours. Our new gods? Follow me here. This KENDALL Jenner Kylie Jenner. What's her name there? Emily Roger ski all these models. All these other social media Cardi de they are the new gods. People. Follow the concept. You follow someone? And what drives a lot of these millennials in the consumerism that's involved with this lament social media because it's taken. It's taken some areas of human nature, and it's taken it. And it's put it on steroids. It has. Rule number nine. And Markowski investments financial independence top twenty list that I put out back in two thousand and four. You're also eighty thousand dollars in credit card debt. How do you expect me Honey? How do you expect me to start building towards your future? When you're paying an average of twenty twenty five percent interest on credit cards. How did you think I'm gonna show you an average of thirty five forty percent return? I can't do it. I can. And this is again, this is where you know, no spoonful of sugar make the medicine. Go down. I have to. I have to bring reality anti-deflation and say, hey, look, you know, what? You're gonna have to make some cutbacks. You're going to have to make some changes you can't afford this. You can't afford this lifestyle. And it's harder especially with these younger kids. They all they're basically living lifestyles that they came forward. Going deeper into debt credit card debt. They've got student loans already that they continue to the fair. You're worshiping. Full.

"Children. As we are all just links in a never ending that is. For us. The are everything. But in reality, right? We are only a fraction of their universe. Miss the past day tomorrow. We may throws them forward into the future. The course will always be there's to of course, now, they're they're wrapped in pink and blue blankets. But she's about to. Blow out of her hand, some sort of magical. Well, it kind of looks like ashes. Floats around the room of this nursery in a hospital and all the blue and pink goes away. It all goes away. Isn't that great? And then everybody's wearing black and white because our children aren't really hours. Yes. There are the focus of our lives. But we're just an insignificant little nothing to them. Selena doesn't make me want to buy your baby clothes. In fact. It makes me want to do the opposite. Really does really does this is Marxist propaganda? Now, our children are not our children, and this has been coming for a long time now Selena loves this because she Canadian Canada's been on this. This whole thing of all, you know, your children your children until we tell you. They're not your children because really they belong to all of us. You know, the great we. Oh my gosh. By the way, does anybody know what? Nineteen Eighty-four they claim that George Orwell may have stolen. This idea of nineteen Eighty-four nineteen Eighty-four is big government controls. Everybody. Everybody has a number and a name and big brother's watching you. But it's actually now that I've read the book, I think you could make a pretty strong case that it was stolen from a Russian novel in one thousand twenty two, you know, the name of that Russian novel is we we have you read anthem by I rand. Ooh, where nobody can say. I or me each individual is we because the individual doesn't exist. You have an individual. You're part of the collective you're just a spoke on a giant wheel. That's all you are. And you know, if if we start to run down to too many spokes, or, you know, not enough spokes, you're not really even a spoke because you have to be identical to everybody else in your just part of the collective. This again is Marxist propaganda. And selene Dion is shown in this little mini movie breaking into the hospital nursery where she delivers the line. They have the right to choose which turns the hospital into some Orwellian black and white room removes all of the pink and blue and changes all the boy girl know symbolism into like hospital crosses that are just black. Honestly, it looks like they're almost wearing prison. Clothes. It's beautiful. No seriously. I love my kids so much where where they just everything is black and white in their world, gray. Oh, if we could get the most Nehru, jackets, if we could get them, the old communist, you know, like Mao jacket for the kids, wouldn't that be cute? The scariest thing about the past seven days, or so is I haven't heard any real backlash from either of these have you seen a backlash where a beautiful baby is is is used as a choice. It deserves to be loved deserves to be wanted and deserves to be a choice. Mom should be able to kill this beautiful baby. Are we dead inside? Are we so? Are we so? Marxist now. Has has the cultural Marxist movement washed over us so much that we're now either just dead inside from all of it. Because we just I don't know just. Where are we starting to believe it? How long are we going to allow this crap? How long before we all? Start standing up and saying no, our children are our children. That's my child my child. My child is an individual. My child is not a number for the state not part of the collective it's my child. I have the responsibility, no government. No marxist. No capitalist has any claim to them and gender. You know, I really feel I really do feel for Bruce Jenner. I will call Bruce Jenner Caitlyn out of respect. I feel for him. I feel for the life that he led. I feel my heart heartbreaks to think the guy that was on my Wheaties box. At the whole time felt like he wasn't himself is he spent his whole life hiding. It is horrible. It's just horrible. But he's still Bruce Jenner. He's still a guy. He might have changed his name. And if he wants me to call him Caitlyn I'll call you Caitlyn. Because I don't want. I don't want to be a part of any of your pain. But if you have to put me on the stand and say is that a male or female, that's a male a male period? It's Bruce Jenner. And I can understand. But I am not going to change reality. Now if Bruce Jenner wants to become Caitlyn Jenner and wants to have surgery and everything else. He's an adult. He can do that. He can do that. You have a right to do that. But it is child abuse child abuse to to suggest that a ten year old should be giving hormones. The ten year old should be allowed to choose at that point. This is crazy talk. Any attempt to trivialise and to diminish life any attempt to trivialise or diminish the family any attempt to trivialise or diminish the individual into the basic, we then he attempt to trivialize or dismiss basic science should be met head on. Now, I don't know how many people can still stomach hearing, my heart will go on one more frigging time. But please for the sake of sanity. Selene? I'll buy a ticket to your show. I'll I'll endure that if you will just close your mouth. Stop trying to preach Marxist propaganda. And will listen to your damn oh my gosh. The boat is sinking song..

"Sweet. So rea- Kylie Jenner basically just blow up the internet this week because she tweeted that she had cereal and milk for the first time ever and it was life changing. Of course, everybody freaked out. I was mad. I was like, okay, you're twenty. One years old have never had a bowl of cereal and milk. Then add more people tweeting to being like, I'm twenty three years old and I've never had a bowl cereal. I'm just like, who raised you because this is where my problem with Kris Jenner comes in. 'cause wasn't everybody knows. I've had my problems with Kris Jenner. She's blocked me on Twitter, but then I turned around on her house. Okay. I like Kris Jenner. Now. But the this Kris jenner's fault, I think it's just like I, it is weird that she has never gentleman. Not saying shiner was on the side of cereal boxes. He had like, how do you not be like, oh, look, your Syria there and Milton your kids. You like your food a certain way, like some of my cousins, some of the kids I've babysat my life to did not like milk with their cereal. They just didn't like it. They just would rather have plain cereal. Nobody to never have it that's being, but they never. They've never had it. He didn't like if you never had? No, they just they're just like, I don't know if they were scared of it or like what they just lame, the parent, they just stopped. They just wouldn't want it. They said they would want plain cereal. And I feel like once you eat like that for a long period of time, you never branch out and try and try to different way because then you just get stubborn ago. I've never had that, and I'm never going to have that. And you're and you just are stubborn for the sake of being stubborn was. You can go ahead and eat your plane cereal. And you could say that you like nobody ever gave you cereal milk or whatever, but I feel bad for you. I genuinely feel bad for you because cereal and milk, great combination. You're hungry. Grabble of serum doesn't matter if it's morning the day night, cereal. Milk always tastes good. There's so many options of cereal. So you can't be like, I don't like cereal. Like, I mean, maybe people don't like cereal, but there's so many different options that I find it crazy that there's not one option out there that you wouldn't like that zero with your milk. You know it just it's my boggling today. I go twenty one years without cereal and milk. I blame Kris and Caitlyn Jenner. I mean, just maybe she doesn't like milk..

"In or a woman are talking about the issue they decided a call in bruce jenner caitlyn jenner now bruce won the olympics as a dude and he knows no more experience about what it's like to be a woman that i do and i know zip absolute zip true story when my daughter was born she was the first of our two i think like six months old i had a conversation with mrs elliot and said look i think i'll be a competent dad until puberty and then i will have no idea what the hell's going on from that point forward it's going to be on you because i will have no idea i didn't i didn't go through puberty as a girl i have a sister who did and i didn't understand what that was all about and there was door slamming and tears and i don't know how to cope with them but apparently bruce slash caitlyn jenner in my view the guys diluted but for cnn to buy into this in my view is pretty demeaning to fifty one percent of the population who are female in this country by saying the only person we can find with a true expertise to sit down and talk about what it's like to be a woman is caitlin jenner this is ironic to a degree it's absolutely nonsensical so let's go further says the left in ratifying friends gender men women's to call them.

"I don't understand what that means woman yourself to be a woman yourself to be a man you're guessing a woman a biological woman who considers herself a man but has children so she considers herself a what a father so something not not not i guess so a a woman who gave birth to children and who now identifies as a man is no longer the mother of the children well look i you may have explained it i mean that means so caitlyn gender gender caitlyn jenner would say that she is not the father of her children i don't know if that's what she would say i am no longer your father i mean that's a powerful thing to say to a child i i think caitlyn jenner would say to his children i am your father but i am a woman so i don't understand this this argument here transgenders who don't consider themselves mothers i mean isn't that also by the way may i just say he's not playing around with the psyche of your child obama a man who considers himself a woman well that's caitlyn jenner i now says i'm your mother but what no but that can't be because they have a mother the person that caitlyn jenner jenner made the child with is the mother so i'm also your mother now i don't believe that i don't think caitlyn jenner jenner has done that the posh retailer said the plan meant broadening out who the cards can go to whether it's grandma's or transgender mums well even if it's a transgender mom what's wrong with a happy mother's day card it will continue selling traditional mother's day.

"What the people consider to be transgendered is interesting what is the one of the questions i think that i think is important is is the reason why this is happening because the cost of transitioning would then be borne by the military you know what do you consider somebody who's transgendered somebody who's in the process of switching from one gender to another and if if if you catch them after the fact would they be allowed to your i took somebody who's transgendered as somebody who's of beds a monitored somebody who has changed or is changing from one thing to another are you it seems to me that caitlyn jenner having change for bruce jenner i think that's done uh i've done in my own estimation would be full you have had surgery everything's done um i think that's done i think they've they've values actually had his parche changed um surgically i think the called gender reassignment surgery i you had that and so basically i that is that considered done it so you still considered a trains person after you've already changed over and in that case at that point if you're living the life in you know you're doing whatever you're should you be excluded from military service i have no idea and the reason why this is this is something that you know who i love the fact with people start coming out with the bigotry nonsense yosu something like this pops up your that the idea that the presidents of big it everybody's a big it starts get thrown around these are very complex issues they're very new issues to a lotta people and people don't understand dan it sorted comes down to i count myself among them by the.
