"You come over, right, watching somebody once at one of those rabbit holes on instant something do a duet of that He was a friend of Jill's. Maybe I don't know what it was till I went and like It was some picture gets a posted. I clicked on the guy that it leads to another thing. Let somebody else It wasn't Jared Lee. Yes, is Jared Lee and Peter Scott? No. Yes, right. She famous pieces got out She was on idol. That's where your name Yes, And they have been friends. Sure, Okay together for years, but they they're voices together so good. Jared's a friend of our family's, and he just has this incredible voice. Yes, I was watching the two of them do at that right there. If the world was ending, he was playing piano, and she was sent in extra Yeah. Isn't it amazing how you just go down this rabbit holes? You know, which is a lot like what were told about the social dilemma. That thing that Kevin and our pimp it a second ago. Here, you find yourself 20 minutes later, 30 minutes later, you didn't mean to and you're still in your phone and you haven't moved You go. What? Ijust Tio. 30 minutes of my life go! I don't know Pia disc, Otto. I don't know Jared Lee. Good on them, but somehow 30 minutes. My life is gone because I'm just watching Instagram videos. Yeah, crazy and that we don't need to sit here talking about the documentary all day, but it really kind of. Ah, it serves two purposes. Want to show us how Obsessed we are with our phones are on the other. The other aspect of it is almost like a political aspect where it's just we like false information spread six times faster online, then really true information. Like just the lack of truth in our society right now in the division it's causing. It is just so scary, and we all know that we're in a very divided places the country right now, But when you hear some of these things in this documentary it was like, okay, that makes sense. Why Everybody's tearing everything apart because nobody's hearing the truth, and everybody's hearing different things. And nobody believes what they hear. And you get frustrated trying to think after watches. Where is my truth? Coming from? Where will I get my truth from them? And this is not like you know, politically. Just one sided. They're showing them both sides of the aisle. You're fed what you want to be fed like to convince all computer algorithms. It's all these Facebook and everybody else. Has all these algorithms to see how long you stay on a certain post. And if you stay at it more times than another go he likes that post. Let's feed him or stuff like that. Or, you know, I just It's just unbelievable How the computers have outpaced. The designers are controlling everything we see and putting stuff into our feet and into our lives. And if you like one's friends photo that's going to impact. What else you get on your feet and what news shows up in your browser and one of the tests they did, which I thought was fascinating. They opened up a browser and they type in climate change is and then you see the suggested stuff beneath it, depending on what your political views are and what you've light and where you've served before, and everything else. It shows you what you think Climate change is real. It's a terrible danger. Or maybe depending on where you live in the country. Climate change is a hoax. Climate change is not really it all is different. No matter where you are. The world it shows up is different. Based on your search history. I assume based on things you've liked based on geographical locations based on bread, state blue state. All this algorithmic stuff comes into play. And it's just scary. How detected something looking for truth or looking for something and you get back Whatever the computer wants to feed you to keep you online longer. Yeah, we all have different Internets, and it shows us what we want to see. That's that's the think of right there. We all have different Internet. Jill. It's scary, but fascinating, Same time, so it doesn't come up with any type of solution or okay. No, not to give the terrifying it is both these people that they're speaking to. We're all like, you know, former VPs of Facebook and insta and, you know, uber and whatever else an oracle on different cos they were the rial people that put a lot of stuff in place. Some of them were apologizing for what they did. Just really, unbelievably fascinating. Can't recommend it enough. I wash it with Colin. We're gonna get him to watch it before. Good. You should. Yeah, that's a requirement. All right. Here we go first. Sevket, what are we doing here, man? Let's go. This is how we start the day this we start the week on a Monday, Vale shares a few positive words. Everything we just said was very scary. Negative. But I'm going to turn that around right here with some positivity at the end of it. We all raise our cups high whatever you drink in the morning, and we have that first step together. Most important thing first off If you're looking for the truth, If you are searching for the truth out there, life follow me on instagram at go for Valentine. California's "Uber law" could affect millions of workers
"Assembly bill five baby five is the shorthand isn't even the law out here yet. It's the bill. The legislature passed earlier this week that would oblige rideshare companies like lift an uber declassified drivers employees. He's not independent contractors. We told you about a couple of days ago anyway. It's not even the law yet but lawsuits have already been filed in the meantime though drivers are still trying to make a living in the GIG economy lift changed. Its rules not too long ago to get more money to drivers in congested areas but not everybody loves that from K. Q. E. D. Sonia Hudson has more for around four years ago. Lifts started paying drivers a bonus to go to areas where there was a lot of demand for rides but not enough cars like North Oakland during rush shower and under that system drivers would get a fair multiplier say one point four times what they would normally earn on that ride you would for those hours. Ours is difficult as they were that you would make a decent hourly rate for those. That's Lawrence wigger. She's been driving part time for left for the past five years. We're sitting in her car. In Oakland where she lives in likes to drive swagger says under the old system she could make around two hundred dollars a week driving two hours during rush shower every day or about twenty dollars an hour then lift came up with a new payment system for areas where there's high demand for drivers and called it personal power power zones now. I think I would be lucky to make one hundred dollars swagger as part of a group called GIG workers rising which says it works with more than nine hundred drivers in California -fornia in as opposed to the switch. We actually jokingly call them. Personal poverties zones the new system uses flat rate bonuses say a four dollar are bonus regardless of the length of the ride under the old system swagger could sometimes make twelve dollars bonus on a thirty dollar ride and now sometimes it. Max Out out at four dollars so four dollars instead of twelve dollars is obviously ridiculous. Incentive Uber uses a combination of flat. Ah Bonuses like personal power zones and percentages like the old lift system lift wouldn't make anybody available for an on the record interview but the company maintains while bonuses are smaller more drivers are getting them lift says that personal power zones were designed to be more predictable stable equitable and stable for writers to when when it comes to pricing lift points out the change hasn't driven up fares and that's true for writer jared. Lee do a music composer who uses both lifting Uber and Oakland during rush hour. I haven't noticed a big difference in fact La- do only learned about the change in lifts driver bonuses when I mentioned it to him. He says he's concerned about drivers is but that the new information is probably not going to deter him from using uber or left. I would use it more to get from back to my house so I probably would still use one of them because I don't want to do. The work. Lift says on average driver earnings across the country have increased over the last two years but it doesn't release rot brought earnings data. Tom White is an analyst who follows lift for the Financial Services Company. Da Davidson. He says that the change generally resulted in drivers seeing their payouts reduced. How does he figure that. Lift takes a percentage of all fares and white says that the company's been taking about eight percent more or from those fares over the last two years you know the main contributor to that increase is that drivers are earning less than than they used to lift argues the addition of bike computer services accounts for the increase it takes one hundred percent of the fees on those since there's no driver to pay but white says bikes and scooters are only a small share of of lifts overall business not enough to account for that eight percent increase white says the reality is lifted trying to make a profit lift loss more than nine hundred million dollars last year. You know investors won't be patient forever. The company went public. This year and white says lift is keen to demonstrate to shareholders. It does have a plan to become profitable double eventually. The question for drivers is whether working for lift is still profitable enough for

"So to me that would have been a better outcome because of how much more complete Alabama's offense looked. I would go back and undo the Jarrett Lee interception. The second interception that we saw him throw in the third quarter, the one that that was rough by Mark, Barron. Not only was it rough. But as you said earlier, they brought him back in to kind kinda give him a chance and Jarrett, Lee. The whole story of Jared Lee. The character. Arc of him Jordan Jefferson had been involved in an altercation in the off season. He was suspended Jarrett Lee came in and was having a great season after being much-maligned after area that point. And so obviously, it didn't work out early in that game he comes in and gets another chance to try and make his Mark on this game. If he doesn't throw that interception there. I'm curious to see which. Direction this game has now of course, LSU does go on to win the game in overtime. But I just wonder if a more confident more able bodied passer, which is weird to say in Jared now, but certainly more so than Jordan Jefferson. If you not, not with no not with the game that was being called. But that doing trust to that point in the season, though, lead been a pretty good passer. Sure. So if he had more of a chance, or more confidence, or more whatever to showcase that down the stretch, I'm curious to see if this game would have had a little bit of a different face on it. I still the thing is the in the offense of coordinating booths in the offensive booths. There was nobody that said, I see what they're doing. I say, okay, here we go. Here's the countermove, there was none of that. No, not in any sort of way of success. It was zero dimensional chess, so to me. Yes, having Jarrett Lee, not throw interceptions would have been better. LSU ultimately winds. Maybe they score a touchdown. I don't know. Maybe they bust something on a bad Alabama breakdown..

"It was a very hushed revered tone. He's now singing soprano, and then they just moved onto a fumble or interception, or whatever there was one point, and we talked about this before we started where there's Jarrett lives. A bad snapper, Jared, fumbles the snap ball, hits the ground. Jared Lee picks it up. Fires it into four different Hella Bama players, and gets picked off and Verne kind of seeing everything before it happens seeing the calculus in front of him on the whiteboard. His call is basically an snap on the grounds. Lee picks it up. Throws it interceptions just hit like he like he was on time. It was like a metronome in is like, I know where the skull and, and it was it was magnificent. We're going to give our official opinion in analysis were there, any themes, by the way thing, you, if you saw an overarching universal idea that sort of made its way throughout these four quarters in over to mean other than defense when champ. Sian ships and SEC, SEC SEC, I, I would say there's a little bit of failing upwards in the same little lane. Kiffin previewing ominous lane kiffin action with LSU doing basically nothing on offense and surviving and moving on up and winning the SEC. I think pretty comfortably. Right. Just murder Georgia in the SEC championship. Yeah. And so being noticeably worse overall team in this game. But I guess defense special teams counts for a lot. So that was a theme to me. And it was just survival seem the theme was survive in advance we had to survive as viewers, Alabama tried its best to survive bad special teams and red zone play hauling, and LSU, did its best to survive in just right place, right time. Just survived play. Another down here. We are and you know favorable things can happen. Before we move onto our official opinion in analysis of this US look, the final thoughts. How often do you think about your socks Dan, every day when I'm putting them on every single damn day? We didn't use to. But now since we've discovered Bomba socks it is changed the way we think about our socks forever. "How much more willing they were to throw the ball down the field LSU didn't throw the ball downfield at all. Maybe like noise that entire game, and it's sort of mind boggling. I know it's up that we talked about offaire you look at some of the receivers that LSU had they never fully capitalized on having Odell Beckham or having Jarvis Landry about your Landry. I don't think he affected much on the field. That much in this game. They had Ruben rand Ruben Randall another handle receiver at four years of NFL experience down the road. And because of the offense they opted to run with Jordan. Jefferson essentially a speed option offense. They weren't able to take advantage of that wide receiving corps and just throw the ball down the field and take chances the, the Jarrett, Louis Jordan Jefferson drama that unfolded in this game gently Lee starts the game. Throws a backbreaking interception. Can't really do much through the air gets benched Jordan Jefferson comes in. They don't fully trust him to go down feel at all. He's running option stuff. They opt for a change up, when Jordan Jefferson isn't doing well, bring Jared Lee, and, and he immediately throws an interception deep into their own tents deep in their own territory stint, so it, it did a nice job of appeasing people watching this game who said why you know, Lee has been the guy this year. Why you yanking. He's been totally solid this year, and then he comes in and throws a pick immediately. And so I want to not revise but we talk about main characters in the scam and be at the best players. If it's Eric Reed, if it's Richardson it's these secondaries. Which, by the way, we have, like, we're talking tire Matthew thyroid, Simon. Eric redeem Elon Drake. Patrick Mark Barron, like NFL NFL NFL type guys. It's impossible to throw down the field pretty much on either one of these defenses as most teams found out throughout twenty eleven but main characters to me by the end of this were the main characters who kind of buried their head in the sand and that was Jim mcelwain and LSU's offensive coordinator, Greg stew stew, draw. I forgot. Hey pronounce that name? He is thrown into the mix..

"That so now the new york times which israel it really is i call it a former newspaper it's trash now i read it every morning just because i need the satire and to just make sure what's in its you don't have to read it but it is a piece of trash it used to be a great newspaper i know that is hard to believe it it always was attacked by conservatives for being too liberal it used to be kind the liberal but it was very fair and their newsgathering was second to none the problem is they still have some great reporters but the great reporters are being used for slanted purposes so they're greatness is actually being perverted i mean it is is to worse that that when they're reporting is good because their their front pages so slanted and they're oped pages now just a joke i it really is a joke here is the air editorial and to put this context the wall street journal had a very non editorial basically just praising the police officers the perot police officer here's the new york times was this attack evidence of how vicious american politics has become probably in 2011 when jared lee lochner opened fire in a supermarket parking lot grievously wounding representative gaby gifford's and killing six people including a nineyearold girl the link to political incitement was clear before the shooting sarah palin political action committee circulated a map of targeted electoral districts that put miss gifford's and nineteen other democrats under stylized crosshairs conservatives and right wing media were quick on wednesday to demand forceful condemnation of hate speech and crimes by anti trump liberals they're right though there's no sign of incitement as directors in the difference attack.
