"Of sports? Yeah. Closing the football season with a bang. A couple of big games this weekend in the pro ranks. Johnny killed. Boston joins us now to break down the weekend. It was in the world of pigskin with the football made it. What's the bootleg cause I'm gonna be hitting J. Bad black on that backside Host divisional weekend in the NFL off season in college changes the coming week in America. The professional football quarterfinals took place over two days this weekend to Big games on Saturday, Too Big games on Sunday. Even if your team is in play, and even the crowd were sparse. America loved playoff football. Once upon an afternoon dreary, the Ravens pondered weak and weary over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore. Mainly, they forgot about the bills. Fancy out of 101 Yard Pick six Sea of red birds in the frozen nearly empty. Sandra Jared Goff just couldn't get off and Aaron Rodgers gave the Rogers right to the body. Graham's defense. It wasn't really close. Rogers all but sealed his NFL in DP in the big, sleazy, but G O A. T sent the old goat off into retirement. Three picks for Breathe Appraisal, fourth quarter for Brady. Now the King has the WINTERFELL to defend King's landing from the king in the North and it Kansas City. All good things must come to an end all the good fans of America's team, the Cleveland Browns will have a brand new chapter. Ponder their giant book of sports heartbreaks. Today we were playing with house money. So in the end, it wasn't all that bad seed that dear brownies I felt for you, man. I don't know about you longer. I was pulling for the Browns in that game. Not well, mostly because of Johnny Kielbasa, but a lot because of Nick troubles. Well, what were your emotions toward the end of that battle? Jani King? Well, it was awful. It was. It was excruciating, just like the last three. But I'll tell you what. Through last three weeks. Browns fans got to be a part of big games from the from the elimination game to the playoff game to this week, and then have it open up forya and just to have that guy getting his head knocked off and fumble into the end zone with the stupidest rule in sports touchback going the other way. That was so Cleveland so browns but hey, It was fun. We were in until the end. What more can you ask for game going in the fourth quarter when I try to forget that their backup quarterback who's like 50 years old scramble for 13 yards. Oh, never mind. It sucked. His rookie football card is a Chad Henny that that came in for homes. His rookie football card is from 1993. 0. Jeez, that's how old Chad Henny is 1993 is looking for. He's still in the NFL quarterback. Yeah, but I mean that The Mahoney's on Andy Reid to have him pass on fourth down. That was that was I was rooting for a Johnny, but you know the future's bright there with Nick Job and Karim Hunt. I like it. I'll take it. It still stings. But by September, it'll wear off. What about a resident? She's had Debra Green and the Green Bay Pakistan. You confident ever? Oh, it's at Lambeau Field, right? Oh, yeah. Go, Pat, go. There you go. Go fast. Oh, yeah. Rams' Sean McVay noncommittal on future of Jared Goff as starter: 'I'm evaluating everything, including QB'

"So there's been a lot of talk you know. Mcvay doesn't criticize a lot of people. And even when he does he's chose to sugar coat and everything's on the table so you may have heard. Essentially he said saturday after the playoff loss to the packers that jared goff quarterback right now with the emphasis on the last two words there sunday. He said everything's on the table but maybe he was giving us an indication that this was happening and things were bubbling a couple of weeks ago. Go back to their first playoff game. There wildcard game against the seattle seahawks key. This is just me speculating. You tell me having been in so many locker rooms and having dealt with so many situations right that game john. Wolford is starting quarterback. Jared goff is the number two quarterback with a thumb injury. This is important. there is no number. Three quarterback blake bortles inactive. So if john wolford where to get injured during the game which actually happened very scary neck injury ambulance came out. Then jared goff would presumably have to come in for the next snap and with no number three quarterback he would have to presumably play the rest of the game. So help me understand. If you're in a situation where wolfer gets hurt on the second snap. Hypothetically fourth snap the game. You've got a rush right in there and likely finished the game because nobody is behind you on the depth chart if you were healthy enough to do that. Play almost every single. Snap of a game if something goes wrong with the starter right out of the gate which is exactly what happened. How in the world are you not healthy enough to start. I think look in the end. It's all about numbers. If they put three quarterbacks up the somebody else has to go down and on an active list. And maybe they wanna. I don't know what they wanted. But maybe they want an extra defense alignment or extra offense alignment or whatever the case may be also when you didn't have the necessary reps throughout the course of the week for jared goff as he was practicing because of the surgery they kind of eased him alone in kind of wanted to let it heal but he was forced in action so therefore the you had no other choice.

You know how much salary cap held there in June Breeze retires and over and talk about Tasting Hill and Jamis Winston Jump in and get on the phone. Try to get Shawn Watson there, so the Jets are not a bad option. Not as bad as an option is, it would be perceived as a year ago. The Jets are actually Attractive option for the Shawn Watson. But I can't say that the best right now so I go offsides off side. All right, Let's go. Number two. We go from bad to worse as there is one of the most brutal performances of large actions career in Baltimore, 73 17 and three loss to the Bills on Saturday night. Jackson's held is 196 yards and zero touchdowns the first time he's been held without a touchdown. It's his first career start now. Before the game in rap report reported that the Ravens were exploring given the former M V P a contract extension this upcoming all season. Many teams have recently regretted giving the young quarterback dissensions as equals. A Carson went in the residue Jagoff both could see their quarterbacks off the roster in 2021. Once and for all sides. The Ravens should give Lamar Jackson a contract extension. Onsides. Omar Jackson is a much better quarterback than Jared Goff, Carson Wentz and Jimmy J. And the reason why you get the extension now is to try to save and get ahead of the market from how it could only grow exponentially down the road. Now, who knows what's gonna be the case this year with covert and how most teams have not been allowed to have fans in The mark Jackson's three years in the league playoffs. First year playoff, second year playoffs third year now has not played great in those postseason games. But he's also a league M V. P. interview With Meagan Crawford

"Well. Megan welcome to manage and cut off. This has been a year overdue at this point. An entire pandemic overdue. Maybe i'm happy that you're here talking to us. I'm really thrilled to be here. Thank you for having me anything so to start. I want everyone to meet you. Because you're awesome So you are a member of space fund. You also have this podcast mission eve. That is fantastic. Can you tell everyone a little bit about you sure. Yeah co founder and managing partner of space fund Where venture capital firm investing exclusively in the new space ecosystem so very kind of targeted fund And then i also have my podcast mission eve which I interview the most amazing women in the space industry. It's just been a thrill and just so much fun to do. And in the hopes of inspiring more women to join us here in the space industry So that's that's a project that's near and dear to my heart I'm also on. The board of several nonprofits needs to do a quick shout out the space frontier foundation. The center for space commerce finance mars initiative and the earth light foundation Spend an inordinate amount of my time helping those at nonprofits. So i think that's probably about it so we're gonna talk about a bunch of different angles on the finance side of stuff which i occasionally touch on but probably not as deeply as i should in many cases there's some fundraising that has happened. In the past year that has been particularly notable for the size specifically spacex relativity. Been getting gargantuan amounts of money there's some acquisitions that have happened recently. And then There's a whole trend of holding companies. That i find quite interesting as well as a trend that i find interesting and more shady. Which is this whole special purpose acquisition friend. Those are the things. I want to pick your brain about. Is there an order. would you like to start with fundraising and then get into what happens after. You've gotten a bunch of funding and actually accomplish things. What's the right order there. Yeah well I think i'd like to start with this kind of startling statistic that that i i like to I like to bring up a lot. Is that One and it's it's one of the reasons that spaceman was founded. Actually is you know. Currently launched comprises less than two percents of the global space economy yet has received seven percent of the venture capital. Today right sounds crazy but it. It makes such intuitive sense to like you know somebody watches the markets but exactly crazy. Yeah that's crazy. Yeah i like it when you hear that you're like oh yeah that seems right but holy crap. That's crazy just hear those numbers right and now the one question i would have is. Does that. include any space x funding as launch. Yes that includes spacex funding and includes the you know that big relativity rounded includes all of that. So i guess that's my that would be. My stipulation is like how. How do you separate out. What of that is going to starlink. zach satellites. Then does that skew it or is it not big enough to actually skew. Anything no matter how you classify either couple billion. Yeah so you know the regardless. It's it's a huge number even if he were to try and take starlink out of the kind of the space x portion of that. They're going to be forty percent of the venture right number exactly exactly and so you know when When my partner. Rick tomlinson and i were contemplating a founding space fund. You know this was one of the things that was really bothering us. We were kind of looking around the industry at all of our our friends and colleagues. Who are these brilliant entrepreneurs going and down sandhill road and couldn't get any funding and meanwhile while all these other. Vc's are just pouring good money. After bad into launch company after launch company because all ilan has launched company and basil's has launched company and jared. Leto is invested in in relativity space so i need a launch company. Right and base fund is currently tracking a hundred and sixty two active launch companies around the world.

Turnovers Doom Saints in 30-20 NFC Divisional Playoffs Loss to Bucs

"Bill. I just want to dive into it here. Because there's a lot to get to after watching the bucks. Beat the saints. Thirty to twenty so new orleans had been in tampa bay twice this season in week. One about four hundred years ago and then again in november. So what was the difference in this game vs those other two. I really simple pablo the saints. Just didn't protect the football. In the two regular season games between these teams the saints won the turnover battle. Both times there are plus three in the week one victory and then one up in the rematch. Tom brady threw five picks across those two games. Only seven in his other fourteen games. That really felt like the saints had his number and they were gonna have to flip that to win in new orleans. Well they flipped. It didn't turn the ball over the saints coughed up. Four times including three interceptions drew brees. The bucks turned the first few takeaways and two touchdowns and use the fourth to wrap up the game and kneel down. It's virtually impossible to win a playoff game. That sort of margin the saints will just sloppy in this game. Mean breeze could have thrown four or five picks. He threw an awful interception under pressure for the first one and on the same page with alvin kamara on a scene route for the second interception. The third bounced off jared cook. Who also fumbled away a completion on a drive where the saints were looking at. Go up to scores. They lost the ball and proceeded to give up seventeen unanswered points to end their season. So clearly the bucks had a formula of sorts for stopping breeze in it seemed like every aspect of this game. But it's not just that they stopped him instead. They made him look straight up terrible really often and i'm wondering how did they do that to that degree. Well i really think that todd bowles bucks defense. Look the tape from last week's game against the bears look how drew brees was playing. Look at how pal those receivers were moving and just didn't think there was anybody in that lineup who could reliably win against man coverage or beat them down field with their speed. This was especially true. After the saints lost deonte harris who had two long punt returns early in this game to a neck injury the saints did get a long touchdown but it was not with brees on the field. It was the lone snap for one jameis winston who came in and use the same trick. Play the bears ran against them last week. For a long touchdown coming across his sanders they handed to them. Refers goes to jameson mega man. Wide open trade smith at the twenty five fifteen ten five and a touchdown saints and jameis winston. What a touchdown pass against his former overall when breeze on the field it was pretty clear at the game plan was to dare him and his receivers to try and take shots towards the sidelines and get downfield and the game plan worked the bucks used heavy doses of twists and stunts upfront create pressure and then just smothered breezes receivers. I honestly it really felt the only reason. Sean payton didn't bench breeze for winston on the last drive. The game is because it was probably a last few snaps of drew brees his career.

Green Bay predictions: NFC divisional playoff vs. Los Angeles

"It we've been talking about. The announcement. Made sean mcvay announcing jared goff will be the starting quarterback this weekend for the green bay packers or four. The la rams against the green bay packers in green bay. Where right now. The packers on pregame.com. Six and a half point favorites. It's important to remember and it's obvious green. Bay's the number one see green bay. Is the one team the gutter by so the question is how to buy teams do in the playoffs. So if we look back and say okay. Let's look at the modern era. As i call two thousand twelve and beyond and that's because it's the first year four year after the new agreement that changed a practicing and all that things is. This really did change after that. And from twelve on teams off a by or with the by the playoffs who are not favored by a touchdown or more nine and five against the spread so a wonderful. Ats record for reasonably priced by team. The number one or in the past and the number two seed now the next game. We're going to cover and we're going to finish up. The rams is going to be kansas city. Who's the other by team. They're in a different category spread wise and it's different results in that game now. Why do i like green bay. And it is against the sharks. We talked about the sharps. Like the ramps and remember they like the rams plus seven and a half they like the rams a-plus avid now element mind is six and a half. So it's obviously. I don't have to go head to head with the sharps as much as i'm getting a slightly better number and i still disagreeing with them. Though in another reason is i think the rams are little bit overrated on. Defense doesn't mean i don't think they have a good defense. I think they have a top five defense. But i think this price is telling us because we know the offense is and all that good and we know. Jerry gov is playing all that well all the doubts about golf and mcveigh's questioned that's all given how they still the sharp side. It's a defensive matter or it's an anti packers. That's the only reason you could the rams you love their defense or you don't like the pack which it can't be about the rams offense it just can't be so even though you could make the case. Oh the rams can run. The ball aggressively in green bay struggled against that last year. Okay maybe but boy if you're one dimensional. That's tough and the reason. Though i think the rams d might be a little overrated is because if you look at their strength of opposition and we're talking about the opposing offenses now. There's been numerous times throughout the year that they didn't play the best quarterback that that team had throughout the year. So let's use the perfect example. Arizona cardinals were the seventeenth. Best offense in football show right about average so the rams playing that offense their defense against that offense. It looks like okay. The rams dominated an average offense. That's a good thing except the quarterback. Wasn't the normal starting quarterback for the car knows. It wasn't collor murray. It was a backup

BGP Peer Locking To Prevent Route Leaks With Tyler McDaniel

"And today we are talking about a paper tyler wrote and presented at it was presented at nanna great It will be presented at india says in february okay. India says in february cool about peer locking and flex ceiling. Bjp against route leaks is the name of it and so let's see so. Let's just begin with the beginning. Why did you write this. Yeah so i. I mean we wrote it so i have a couple of co authors Are guys in my lab. Jared smith and our advisor Max shoe card so just going. It's going to shout them out but The reason we wrote the paper The reason we did the study Was there were some Other bjp studies one from within our own lab that was a an attack paper that relied on as manipulation and bgp and another paper had to do with Hijacking attack and bgp that also used poisoning or Path free pending. And so we were. We were running. Into some of these advertisements for these experiments These previous experiments Were encountering filtering and we wanted to look at where that filtering was taken place and lie so it it was a we. Were just trying to fill out an obstacle that we encountered in in prior studies. So what do you mean by your counter. filtering you mean like s pat filtering or the routes just weren't getting through someplace what's right so in general there's there's something called a path pre pending you can do. Bgp because Bjp doesn't care what you say about is Once you put it out into the fabric of the control plane it'll be propagated so you can do something called path pre pending where you tag other is in the real path before your own in an announcement and send it out and of how loop detection works in. Bjp by gaining this as path or a foreign asean. You can 'cause people selectively to drop these route so in general except for the people who you want to drop these routes expected these these poison pass will be propagated throughout the control plane throughout all the different networks that make up the internet but what we found was sometimes they weren't. They weren't making it where we where we expected them to go and we were looking into wine. And i think. That's what i mean when i say filtering just these networks were not propagating. These poisoned path as we as we expected them to. Okay so that's interesting so when you talk about filters you weren't expecting you're thinking about things like no peer or just even community based filtering of some kind right or path right right or or we had done an experiment where we we made an extremely long advertisement where repented like two hundred ss or something like that and then and then you run into some like link filters and things of that nature but We we we. In this case someone was actually filtering on the path. A it appeared. So that's that's what sort of what What spurred the study okay and so you started studying just like why were these as being dropped like when you're trying to figure out the policy or you're trying to figure out i mean like what the policy why the why the operator in question might be dropping these paths or were you just trying to figure out like interesting just curious a couple of reasons. One is the odd to see in. Bgp it's kind. It seems like the wild west sometimes where you can put just about anything out there and expected to get somewhere and we were actually encountering filtering so it was interesting for that reason. Just wise this happening but Yeah i think we had a couple of main thrust one. We wanted to see where the filtering was actually happening. It wasn't clear because of our Points of observation on the control plane. You who actually was doing the filtering but it looked like bigger networks than the policy. Y what what about. These poisoned routes were were Suspicious or triggering filters okay. So you move from that to thinking about route linking. How did that happen right. So we were investigating. Why these paths. Were being filtered. And i'm looking for different systems or or doing some research asking people some operators why they might be filtered and one of the things one of the reasons is that we heard was well because sometimes they look like route leaks. We found this system appear that was designed to prevent route leaks but the way it worked also also touched on. as paths so We we kinda came into it from that from that perspective from first we were looking at why these poison pets being filtered probably because they look like route leaks to these systems. Were designed to

John Wolford out, Jared Goff will start for Rams

"Let's begin with the rams and their quarterback situation for the playoff game at lambeau field. What's the latest. Well look really john. Wolford hasn't taken any snap during practice this week and it's thursday but in the nfl world is really friday because these teams play saturday. And so john. Wolford hasn't taken any snaps that would seem to indicate their jared goff is on track to start saturday's game. Now the question is will the rams used wolford do they wanna try to bring him back at some portion the game. He brings a certain different element to that offense. And we'll see how that plays out here in the next forty eight hours. That's the chiefs offensive coordinator. Eric be enemy. Who got interviews with every team with a head. Coaching vacancy except for the houston texas. Right now it doesn't look like he's on track to get one. We'll see how this shakes out but in speaking to people around the league. They don't sound overly optimistic that the enemy's going to come out of this cycle with a job if he does that can be troubling for a lot of people. A lot of people still pulling from to get a job. We'll see whether one works out for him.

"Because you've been doing our for Jared what is your best piece of marriage advice but well gene. I think you can answer this choosing your married Best marriage advice would be whoever you're going to marry. Just don't forget that this is somebody that you're going to have a conversation with every day multiple times a day for the rest of your life and so i would just say. Make sure wherever you're going to marry that you know you have a friendship with two because this person will ultimately become your best friend whether they are or they're you know whether they're your actual best friend or not as you to spend so much time with this person. Luckily for ashley narino. We were obviously very close friends for quite some time before we started dating. And i. I've seen the difference in this relationship compared to previous ones because of that strong foundation that we were able to luckily build You know just coincidentally just because you know. Obviously i was a little hesitant. Jump into a relationship with her. We go down that story. I would say that's my best advice. Is the idea that like this person that you going to marry which you hope spend the rest of your life with somebody that you will ultimately become best friends whether you want to or not I have your big thing for a successful marriage speaking from experience as well. is has parents and communication. And i know you hear that beat to death. And i'm not talking about communication like talking about your field Obviously talk about your motions and your feelings and your desires and your requirements and all those things. That's that's very very important but i think Transparency in the sense of everything across the gambit for instance you know she has Her her face Log into my phone my passwords. She can log into anyone like not that she ever would don't kick like she never would log onto my instagram but like she has the ability to at any point. We have you know. Each other is like bank loggins. we know each other's credit scores. We like everything like she like. She literally an extension of me. And if anything if i ever needed to get into like. I'm like logging into my facebook sometimes. I'm like hey. You're my facebook password and chile telling me that and i just think that that has kind of allowed us to have a deeper understanding and trust in each other And so that is my advice..

"The first time you set is on someone like how right. I'll listen i'm will. I'm a believer in emotional intelligence but like my guide. How much emotional intelligence must you need for you to be able to decipher the difference between love and lust. Literally the second lay is on someone. Like i don't know if i can buy into that or not here. Here's what here's why. i think. Love at first sight is even a thing is because like you said it were. Were lusting for someone. We see someone we're like. Wow that person's really high. I wanted to know them better. And then when they get to know them better they realized that they do love them as well when like the reason that love at first sight. Excess is because we're always reminded of the success stories of love at first sight and we're we always forget about the failures which happens to us. Hiring out of one hundred times love at first sight failed at us. Because we're attracted to someone at a bar. We go up and talk to them. We realized i've nothing in common. And then we move on we. We don't hear the stories. We hear the. I walked up to them. We fell in love and now we're married with three kids kind of thing I i explain why agreed lists have you heard or i've heard it for. Were like they live. Someone says they thought it was love at first sight and then it proves itself that it wasn't love at first sight in it didn't work out in like i completely agree with you deny listeners. You know you might feel those those infatuation feelings right away and then you grow into love with someone in. That's fantastic. But i don't think like it. Also you know what i'd like really just d- values. Would i believe loves it by saying you can truly love someone Only by seeing them for you know ten seconds fifteen seconds. 'cause like love is complicated in its intention. It's hard sometimes than it takes effort and like you know it takes trust in. There's so much that goes into love The idea for me personally that something so heavy can happen. Instantaneously is something that i just choose not to believe because i feel like a values what i think love is well said well said all right guys. We are recording. Live here on the stereo app. Still we have a couple more questions. We're going to get to this next one right down. My question is for jared jared. I'm a diehard jets fan and. I know you are a die-hard patriots fan. So i'm wondering. How is it living with a giants fan if they beat twice in super bowl. Yeah jet man comment in hard. The questions You know when. I first met ashley's parents went downstairs. I saw a blow up poster of tom. Brady getting sacked by michael strahan and super bowl. Forty two and it. Just maybe wanna leave the house. Never come back but luckily we've won three super bowl since we lost twice to the giants on the giants losses. Don't even hurt me a cheney more. We've once six for christ's sakes like. How much more can i possibly ask for. Where the best of all time. No other franchises ever won six super bowls in the span of twenty years. Like heck pretty good could be worse. Could be jets then her. Let's thanks. i had history. I hate patriots fans. You guys are such losers. Oh it's so easy to be fan of the best team for the past two decades..

But sometimes life gets in the way and slows you down a little bit and so if you end up being late like garretson just communicated clearly And say hey. I'm gonna be five ten minutes later however long it is because i agree with jared. If you don't even communicate that you're gonna be late. That's very frustrating. Just can't keep the other person in the now we don't be fat. You could be fashionably late but let them know be respectful. Somebody else's time experts in high. So i have kind of an unrelated question but a bunch of my friends are considering getting back with their xs because of quarantine and i was just wondering if you had any advice on how to tell them to not do that. Yeah remember why you guys up in the first place. Yeah yeah i definitely. It's funny because i'm like this question from a few other people like that. I'm friends with It just like convenience and comfortable and you kind of know what you're getting yourself into it doesn't come with a prerequisite of we're just gonna be together for quarantine and then break up again afterwards. I personally don't think it's a good idea. I think jared probably agrees with that. It just like like you said it's like why did you break up with them in the first place. Are those problems resolved. I think that when we start to like kind of think about our exes when we're single lonely we romanticize the relationship and only remember the good things about it and forget about all of the reasons why we broke up with them in the first place so things. Yeah i agree. I think unfortunately i think the user name was alison. Thank you awesome for that question. I listen unfortunately sometimes your friends. Just don't listen to you..

"Let us say a Lotta jared diamond. Yesterday. It was somewhat lost in the shuffle body proposal was reported about a fifty or so game schedule Jared. Diamond refers to this as the nuclear option in a tweet that he posted earlier today, jared diamond covers baseball for the Wall Street Journal. He's an author, the name the book if you are inclined and I would highly recommend it, not that I've read it just based on Jared's writing. It's called swing. Kings jared dominant of the Wall Street Journal joins us on extra thirteen sixty, jared Darren Smith. Thank you very much. We'll talk to you. Appreciate it so overall the fact that we had an MLB players association proposal Sunday. We had league proposal yesterday. Would you say before we get into the particulars? Is this? Should this be perceived as good news that at least the two sides are talking? Low I think it's important to clarify that. The the League did not submit a counter proposal to the Union yesterday. The League is floating through the media that they have this idea of potentially trying to force the players and do a short season, but as of just about an hour or so ago, that had not actually been submitted to the Union in fact. Fact Union heard about that idea that the League is now floating for the first time on ESPN yesterday at the same time, everybody else heard about it when Jeff passing on sportscenter and reported it so until there's a formal proposal like that. Put in front of the players in their minds. I think everyone's mind suggest viewed as posturing for now. All right strike that question from the record, jared, then, what are we to make now? It's two times. Maybe that's not enough to suggest. It's a trend. But what do we make out of proposals floated through media before the Players Association even gets wind of themselves. But? I think at this point I think. Everyone's a little frustrated with all negotiating in public, but there is some good news out of what happened yesterday. At least I think. Was that a couple of days ago, really two days ago, the owner's position was there no scenario where the players will will receive their pro rated salary, and now suddenly the owner seem open to okay fine. We'll give you your parade salaries, but only it has to be fifty games. You can't go over fifty games well, it's. It's not a big stretch to the helper hop that fifty games could turn into eighty. Just the fact that the owners have gone from. We will never pay your prorated salary to fine. We'll do it, but only under these condition that's assigned to me that things are starting to move. The rhetoric is still intense. There's still a lot of sniping publicly and privately, but it does seem like finally. People are starting to slowly move off their positions, and hopefully that could lead to a real conversation. Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal joining us on extra thirteen sixty. If you're my program director, how much time would you recommend I spent on the fifty game idea?.

"There's no reason for an emergency management apparatus. To deny need. And in fact the scary thing is by inserting jared who has no transparency of need except for the friends. He has a New York City that you are more likely to distribute supplies unfairly because he has such a myopic view of what need is right. So one of the arguments jared. Kushner is made. Is that the existing system needs to be disrupted. And that's what he's doing and he's GonNa make things. Were better and faster. And that's what the moment is demand. No no no no this is the outrage first of all because they don't understand the system so basic disaster management is a unity of effort agenda. Because we don't have chains of command essentially in Homeland Security right governors. Don't that report to a president. Mayors often don't report to governors and so the way that we think about crisis management is the locals execute right through the front lines think of NYPD or New York Fire Department the States coordinates. Something gets too big right. Then you have a state sort of driving resources at the state to where the locals need it and then you have the federal government supporting like. It's so boring but it works and it's worked for a very long time and not without flaws or disasters we get that but that process is what every responder agency trains and exercises too. So there's an expectation that that process will work and the reason why you don't change midstream in Kushner's think outside the box analogy is what's outside the box. What process is outside the box? It can't possibly be Kushner cell phone number but that's what it appears to be. That's what it actually appears to be said that I'm GonNa you know he says I'm going to disrupt system. Call me if you need anything. She realized the numbers that we're talking about thirty sixty ninety. Two hundred million mass right from my perspective. How Jared Kushner could say? His system is better is shocking. What he's done is he's set up a separate parallel federal response effort to separate responses. Sometimes working at cross-purposes sometimes working together blazed with politics came described. How the incident command worked when she was in government. Working you know once the disaster strikes we set up what's called a used the term before incident command structure where everyone has a seat at the table. Decisions are being made based on supply and demand based on resources. It sounds like what you're describing is a like a military operation. Yeah it is. It just doesn't have the chain of command. Feel yeah so continuing with that analogy. Are we saying okay? So then the White House is sort of getting on the battlefield and start you know making such a great analogy right invade Normandy right and you know. My best friend has great boats. Just give you think about do, you prefer woman with thick eyebrows. Or thin eyebrows. Not too thick. Nerve full. Yeah. Not like drawn on or anything, but thinner at center eyebrows supposed to thicker, a brand new study says out of one thousand men men prefer women with thicker eyebrows. They find them more attractive. What's more manly? Sometimes it depends. I mean, it just depends on the look agree with you. I think those thick woolly, Caterpillar, looking eyebrows are a distraction. Yes. Well, why aren't you doing things? Their eyebrows. Think you need to be going like over tweeden's them or wax them or whatever it is. You do. I don't think you have to go over. So that you just have like a pencil drawn in look, but let me look up Derrick jeeter his wife. Her in particular because I looked up Margot Robbie and she has kinda thick ones. Yes. She was it. Is it care of Deva that model is the one who is known for having very eyebrows us on the thicker side to she's not thin. Katie has thin ones. I just noticed very thin. And I don't really do anything. Okay. Yeah. Sometimes I use a pencil to colored. And because they are so thin don't every once in a while. I'll have like a stray hair dissuade, they grow. Okay. Can't help it. You're lucky then zoom in on even Derek Jeter's wife. Oh my gosh. June way in not as good you kill Tom Brady on the way to date her. "Suffice it to say so. I spent a lot of years. You know turning things back around in that regard and finding peace and and being very cognizant of the energy that I do bring into a room and deliberate about you know how I what I want to bring into room one of the things. I'm asking myself when I'm in a conversation in you know when I walk into a room in a in a conversation with people you know. Does that person feel validated. Do they feel valued have I? You Know F. I found a way to connect with their values to help them feel heard. Deb bring light into the room or do I bring heaviness do I bring faith or fear love and compassion or something less when I noticed the comparing dynamic this you know that was the impetus of this discussion. I had asked myself. You know are are you the guy that deflates the conversation turns it toward negatively by way of comparing or are you the guy that simply is able to observe something without feeling the need to compare judge it and I you know you you have to ask yourself that as well. Who Do I WANNA be a great way to validate? Someone's feelings is to refrain from comparing their feelings in their experience to yours or someone else's or this or that but just to have that moment at the end where you really do take it in and then honor it. Wow that's great man without having to make the comparison or if I make an offer of something like hey what if we did this or whatever and then you compare it to something else. Then it starts to devalue things I recognize there's a utilitarian dynamic of comparing things I get that again we don't have to swing the pendulum all the way over to the other side. But I think it's worth being more aware caucus of how we affect conversations when we have the tendency to start comparing things and I think there's a real freedom and not doing that I would say probably for for both parties I don't WanNa be the guy that brings that into a room. That's for sure Edited it is something I think about often and try to be very deliberate about In any conversation and you never know the ripple effect of your influence on someone even a fleeting moment thing an experienced person or whatever it is I mean I I feel like it can be good and diabetes and wonderful without comparing it to anything else arguably more. I guess you know in a baby looks at a flower is completely blown away by. Just odd over a flower. It's not because it's comparing it to l. well there was this lesser version. I saw yesterday and today. This one's just immaculate. It's just they're like in that. Moment appreciating in all of its glory for what it is. I feel like another thing that sort of ruffles. My feathers on this one if you will is comparing is rooted in the past really. You can't compare something to the future that Moore of the bring in all of these. I Dunno ideals or beliefs that I have in this and that you know I. I'm not big on going back into the past. And unless there's some something there I can observe that will bring me liked love and elevate me in INFORMA- lesson or clarity or something like that. That's great but I'm not I don't want to go back there. And wallow anything The past I think is is good for you know reflection on lessons and things like that. That's great as long as you can do it with a positive slant was much purpose for it. I'm trying to be here now in this moment As present as I can possibly be so by nature of comparing you're you're comparing to previous understanding of another thing. Just I don't know any other way around it so again it's another elements very attractive I think it limits our ability to live in the present moment as well. We're comparing things to the past I guess I've asked you know. Is there any reason to compare other than to influence? How might gauge? Something's value is there. You know if you agree that comparing is an act of viewing something And and looking at how it compares to something else you know as its relative to another thing for the purpose of gauging its value. I guess to some degree I'd have to ask you know. Is that the best way to determine. Something's value I always have WANNA ask like okay. Well this is the way we always do. This great is that the best way to actually get the real answer. Is that just the way that we always do that? You're probably do another podcast episode dynamic. I think when you introduce comparison into a conversation I would encourage you to ask I guess. How does it affect the quality of the communication? How does it affect the relationship when you start comparing? Especially if it's showing how whatever they've given us is lesser than whatever it is compared to when you remove comparison from your life for me. It's like wow I can be free this conversation we can talk and be free and and understand kind of the essence of this and together as opposed to there being a constant comparison when I walk into a room and feel no need to compare myself to anyone else. I'm free I can be me. I can be authentic without fear liberation and love and energy and confidence and all these things can pour out of me I can be free to be authentic and unique that feeling Getting a crowd. I guess when we're in that instance it probably comes off as confidence great. We'll take that. I mean I want people to understand that I am confident I. I'm a guide. The coach brand developer people need to be confident in my confidence right. I think that's a beautiful thing. It's like when we get someone say. Oh the very confident. I have to believe that there's probably a lack of them comparing themselves to other people they think are superior to them in that And I say that partly from my own experience in conversations and asking around about this as I've been developing this podcast when you're comparing you're choosing a different type of value system that simply valuing something rather than value on its own merit when someone says something you immediately compared to something else. You've Kinda taking something away from that conversation. A little bit of beauty just kind of went out the door. I think even if you're comparing it to something that you both think is inferior whatever What if you just refrained you know with no comparison to anything? Wow when my friend took the opportunity to defend Nashville against my appreciation of San Diego rather than just appreciate San Diego with me or just appreciate that. I appreciate it. Just you know validate a friend. It turned our conversation about gratitude and appreciation into a battle a dispute about which cities better. I'm not concerned at all with that. It's not something even on my radar. I never wanted that conversation. You know and obviously I can say that. This has lots of instances and in no case that I want any of that I wanted to just talk about the thing that is or was or whatever I wanted to share with my friend ultimately and it was certainly dissipated at the very least by the way that he came back in the conversation. So I'd encourage you to ask some questions you know. I'm doing the same questions I'm asking myself. Can you compare without judging? I'm not sure what my answer is to that yet. I I'm not sure if I observe something and compare it to something else. I have no choice really but to judge. Situation Order articulate my actual comparison the active comparing. I think seems to be a sure way to devalue in degrade a conversation or a thing. So here's some questions. I guess more formerly that I'm pondering is judging circumstance or a person a positive investment in my life I think we know the answer to that What if I could simply observe it rather than judge it? How would that serve me? Where do I tend to compare most often in my life like what are what are the time when I most likely to be comparing things whether it being conversation or just in my own thoughts or experience whatever does comparing serve me or anyone else positively does comparing bring you strength or weakness in your heart? That's something that is a very taoist kind of discussion. Does this feeling bets. Coming out of you bring you Strength or weakness. Does this thing you're saying bring you strength or weakness When I go down the negative path comparing or the path negative comparing I should say it in no way brings me strength in not anyone else that I'm aware of either. What could happen if I simply chose to refrain from comparing even just an experiment? Do it for a week and see if like every catch yourself every time you're comparing and then see what it would have been like had you not. I encourage you to declare today. Free Yourself Comparison Day. Maybe every day after if you'd like whatever you need to do to liberate you from the Social Malady. I trust you on that you know. Try It for a while. See if it works just tune into your discussions and notice when you or someone else starts to make a comparison conversation notice how often that comparison is rooted in judgment notice how the comparisons changed the way..

"I think there's something flat tire or getting cold or something is often to me anyway. Feels like just kinda prodding From the universe to slow down or listen or become more aware. Let go of something. Those are usually the top on. The list is different every time but a in a in a lot of times. It's not even related to what actually happened like a flat. Tire may not have anything to do with me becoming more aware of a situation in a relationship or something but it may still be an effective tool for getting my attention If I judge it however you know that that can be done a path where I ended up tripping into some nasty case of self loathing or fear or resentment or God knows what and I don't need that in my life so I mean it is a choice like I know what I'm going to get if I choose this path or that path or at least idea I'd rather choose the path of tuning in and becoming more aware and asking questions rather than just judging it and saying this is a bad thing. This shouldn't be this way or whatever I feel that judging and comparing our close siblings as I alluded to minute ago. Like how do you compare something really without at least implying some sort of judgment about like well? I? I'm comparing it saying. Well it's this way or that way. I think I can compare something and say you know this one is red and this one is black without judgment but that's not typically how conversations go when it comes to compare. That's a nice healthy way to do it. But that's not necessarily common either. I think you know if I say. Oh wow thanks so much for this new camera. What an amazing gift. That's authentic gratitude. But if I say oh wow. Thanks so much for this camera. It's almost like the one I wanted. You know that's very different feeling. It's a comparison is not a very good way to accept a gift. Either but the act of comparing essentially devalued that gift to some degree so You know one of the changes that if you actually said that out loud I assume you wouldn't but if you did you know oh it's almost like the one I would say that. Why because it's disrespectful. It's kind it's missing the point. It's not being grateful and so on. So my feeling is if you're thinking you need to address that whether or not you're good enough to not say I'm GonNa go ahead and throw this out there and say. I'm not a big fan of competitive. I realized the riskiness and saying that but suffice it to say I'd prefer that society held their spiritual beliefs in such high regard with so much devotion time attention disciplined and and whatever That'd be wonderful. Think of sports if you could for a moment without competition or comparison obviously competition's ingrained there but in that we have comparison they're sort of synonymous the in that way. Think about it though for a minute. Sports without comparison. It just doesn't work very well. Most sports don't work without a foundation of comparison. That's kind of the nature of competition itself. I guess is kind of comparing yourself as you go. Incidentally we do not put our kids into any competitive sports maybe some day but right now it's not where we're at they haven't asked for it You know obviously we could do like most people and put them in local sports and so on even though they're home schooled But I don't really want to introduce that level comparison and competition in the lives at such an early age. I'd rather them be focused on learning something more around the idea of being mindful and being love and relationship building being kind and and all those kind of things and things that I can do to build their confidence which by the way unless they happened to be the big winner in a competitive sport. It's not the greatest way to build the kids. Confidence in fact takes it the other way and I think confidence is the greatest gift we one of the greatest gifts that we can give our children especially in those early childhood development years. I think the motivation anyway for for sports especially for kids in this discussion is physical exercise and being a team player and you know having community and overcoming obstacles all those kinds of things that we that we say you know. This is what kids are doing sports for. That's why they're there. However I'm quite confident that we can provide other avenues for those lessons and benefits and the benefits that come from that that are outside of the games that also tend to evoke a lot of fighting and comparing and self confidence and problems and so on so like could we get physical exercise and team player overcoming obstacles could we instill in our children through something besides sports that also has all the fighting and backbiting comparing confidence problems and so I would certainly think so people have done it. So our kids You know they have daily social activities. They're super athletic. They're outside all the time they have lots of close friends and so on and so on. I mean I have to ask. Is there something missing from that? That like when somebody says. Why don't you have them in sports? I don't I haven't recognized deficit. That would require us to do that. And take on all the other negative aspects of it as well. Obviously I'm generalizing. Yes to make a point You can do worse things in your kids to soccer practice is what I'm getting at. We don't have to be zealot zealous about this but at the same time I think the principles are pretty sound here. there's value in competitive sports. I'm sure And maybe more in at a later age Certainly make the argument for that after they have a foundation of confidence. And so on I if I look across the board say like what do I want my kids doing? It's I'd rather than take yoga capita or she gong or something. That's GonNa be more mindful that they can take that forward into anything they do and probably that would help them a lot in sports later on you know why not give them the foundation of that. Mindfulness and awareness into this. If you will not to mention confidence and so on that comes with that and then throw them into the sports so they can do it. Well let's say And not let it eat them any thing that we get our kids involved with. I have to say you know how. How does it serve them? Is it something they need? Is it something they want? You know even is it What will drive them? Further towards love and compassion. Patience is I think is really what I'm always looking at. I don't find any value even in comparing myself to anyone else. Obviously as a coach and podcast whatever I think that would be easy for me to do to indulge in that comparing activity but I have a lot of rules that I follow leaders teachers. Whatever you call them. But I'm not trying to be them. I have a lot of peers that I admire. People that are in my field. I you know I I have elements that I see them that I want to emulate for sure but I don't WanNa be them or even for that matter. I don't want to defeat them either. I don't have any reason to do that. I'm pretty I'm very deliberate about seeing someone kind of mice space or whatever and saying you know what I'm sending that person love and light today. I'm so excited for them. I genuinely him and I let myself get excited about that for them. I hope they would be for me as well. I WANNA appreciate their success rather than compare it or defeat them. Okay and we can get into a you. Know another side of this discussion to go a little deeper. In even into the Jesus Discussion Jesus message was to follow his philosophy not to be hem saying just to do that. I mean he obviously wasn't big on judgment. Either as a as a general rule and the idea of being a disciple which is what he was discussing. That point was to take up the rabbis yoke and emulate the ways of that rabbi not necessarily to become that rabbi or or I explicitly not to become that. Rabbi they were to take these principles The the the ways of the rabbi sort of AL chemically transmute those elements into their own identity. So it's like taking those principles and elements out of the the the rabbi that they want to take forward to emulate to carry forward and and then saying and here's my personality my character six and so on and so on and putting that altogether and then they become a new rabbi with the message and with disciples and so on Could you I mean imagine what would happen each time if the disciple when taking up there the yoke of their rabbi word to spend any amount of time comparing themselves to that. Rabbi let alone. Jesus that I'd say that's probably not going to evoke a positive emotions An and again I feel. It's missing the point. I want to look at other people in my life and I think like I want to respond more like Rom dos those to live or Wayne. Dyer I WANNA have. I WANNA walk around with this profound intuition and wisdom like Marianne Williamson or have the patience and mindfulness of Han or You know for me I I WANNA evoke the wonder and bring the all like somebody like Jason Silva. He's amazing he goes into the flow state and just It it brings me wonder aw just to watch him. Talk about wondering I WanNa do that stuff like you know in similar ways. Those guys are at least it's similar in the impact but I don't WanNa be them and I don't find any value in comparing myself to them. I'm sure they would neither. I simply admire certain traits in each of them and I inspired to incorporate those into my own identity and make it part of me like a disciple would with a rabbi. Think of the kid that you know that draws our bills something I think it's just magnificent glorious wonderful until they see some other kids creation or they're introduced to it by an adult or something you know maybe next time you can make it like this or you know you're doing well but this you know when you have something on the other side of this perceived or or sold to the kid as being better in some way think about that in the kid's mind and how that can be so devastating and obviously say 'cause. I've seen some of that happen anyway. I think we can learn from that scene. Just kind of play on that over thinking about how we take that into other aspects of our life. I think that we devalue an observation of some kind when we compare it to something else. It's like were even even when we think something is better Do we need to devalue something else? In order to articulate the value of that Is that necessary at? Could we talk about the value without the comparison? I realized sometimes you're trying to say like oh it's like this thing and in a good way or whatever so you have to compare it that way and say it's similar to this or whatever that's obviously what. I'm talking about I do think that we can value something more without devaluing. Something else simply. I refrain from comparing it It's like we get the real thing when we don't have to compare it to something else. Then that skews it in my opinion. I think it's hard to do it. I obviously but you get the hang of it after a while certainly paying a lot of attention to it To simply observe something without comparing it I can light San Diego without comparing it to anything else. I can like myself without comparing myself to anyone else. In fact I usually feel better when I don't If I compare myself to someone that I view as somehow being superior to me that doesn't make me feel great or does it even serve them really and the same way same thing goes for comparing myself to someone I believe to be. You know maybe leave to be inferior in some way. I mean that doesn't make anybody feel great either. Certainly not me. I don't want to be in the habit of looking at someone and saying Even like calculating whether or not I think they are inferior to me serves nothing. I don't feel that comparison served much of any positive purpose again. There are exceptions to rule but in general. I like to stay away from it. I don't feel like a situation has power over me until I judge it and just think about that. I mean when you have the ability to manage your power if you will By not judging something that's important right so I'm I'm very deliberate about my life and the things that I allowed it influenced me and I'm also very deliberate about my influence over other people especially my kids. There are very few things in my life at this point that come out of me. That are not thought out. Well or deliberate or intentional And one of the things I pay a lot of attention to is impact. I have when I walk into a room the energy that I bring into a room. That was a big thing that a lot of people talk to me about and you know back in my activism days. When I'd walk into a room you know just raging about some issue that was going on from a justice issue or something like that And I brought that energy into a room and it was.

Radio I'm always looking for patterns in little elements that come up in my life that I might want to adjust things that keep kind of poking their head up and and letting me understand that. This is a problem area. This is something that might WanNa address. I want to be very deliberate about Handle those things obviously going to be aware of it first and then. I want to be delivered about correcting it. Something seems out of alignment. I want to bring it back in lately. I've noticed something a threat if you will. I've noticed a feeling of unease and frustration when I whenever I start noticing in a conversation that comparisons are starting to creep in. So there's this dynamic shift that happens it seems a bit benign at first and can even go unnoticed but then it starts to turn up and it's turns into this kind of like toxic mood that permeates the whole conversation takes over. It turns it into something that it wasn't like it takes. His conversation makes it about comparing it to some. You know the thing. I was talking about to something else rather than what it is on his own. It's sort of ROB's of the ability to look at something for what it is Because at that point where we're looking at at what it is as compared to something else so I thought about this. I thought about creating a podcast about it. An episode the Solo episode which. I haven't done any of lately and here. I am obviously I chose to do it. And part of the impetus was because as I was preparing for this. I got my you know my daily email from Seth. Godin one of my heroes. Probably the biggest business influence on me and I thought well. There's your confirmation. Jared go ahead and do it because His email spoke directly to this. So I'm going to read it right now. It's called skiing out of bounds. Came in a week or so ago. Some people find a thrill and going under the rope skiing on the cliffs or other terrain outside the ski area. They'll tell you that the runs are better. But if the ski area extends the boundaries suddenly those spots aren't as attractive now. It's the next bit that seductive beyond that because the thrill comes from the out of the bounds part not Skiing Park. Different feeling with a similar boundary issue is the magic of a. First Class. Seat doesn't matter. The class seats are often smaller than they used to be. What matters is that? They're better than coach. Compared to what is often the cornerstone of our narrative. Did you ever notice how someone can present something to you such as an idea house? Asong a piece of art or anything else and when you view it by itself you can observe it and experience it value for what it truly is but as soon as an alternative is presented or whatever we begin comparing it. It's like okay. Well what does it look like compared to that thing compared to my cognitive bias? What I already know or already believe rather I should say That's when we begin to understand you know that a thing only has value in that conversation as it's compared to something else rather than seeing something for its intrinsic value. That seems a bit tragic to me. like we're kind of missing the point for instance. My daughter likes to run Sarah. She'll run she's big runner and She likes to run with me a lot of times after I go running. I'll come back to the house and then I'll deal short run with her and sometimes that runs not so short these days. She's getting really good. She's very fast. She's very determined she's full of stamina. She knows she can do this. She's got a good head about it. She's very confident. And so on She finds such great joy in running. As do I. But the second she's Put into some kind of competition The comparison start to take over instead of recognizing her own abilities or on value and so on she's focused solely on comparing how good she is the next person more on that shortly for me this move the conversation from observation to judgement That's a recipe for deterioration in perception. Ultimately I guess in relationships if you let it goes far enough I have a friend that was sort of my experience was with him. With sort of impetus for this conversation Somebody go a little bit into into. That story are a story. That's one of many out of our relationship There are some similar thread throughout the power. He he's a he's a great friend he's a good guy love him he's like family. And you know this is not about that but I did make an observation here and as and in light of what. I'm talking about here and making an observation without judgment. I'll do that as well with my friend. When I moved from Nashville to San Diego not too long about four or five months ago I said to him you know. Hey Bro I really love it here. I love the weather. I love the beaches. I love the endless son. I love the fact that Never get super cold and for that matter doesn't even get super hot. I appreciate the lack of police presence. That's been a big discussion. Just hardly ever see them around here. I love the cool little pockets of communities. The it's like. The intention of this community is really amazing. a try to keep things sacred around here noticed and certainly not everywhere but in the areas that we are that we are most. I like the fact that a lot of people's schedule runs around the sunset. You know it was like wins. The Sun coming up. Or when's it going down? And people are in tune with that. The cognizant of nature people seem very deliberate. And I like what that says about people. I like to be in that kind of environment. I said all these things Among others but we were just having a chat about it and I was explaining the my feelings around it and explained lots of things. I appreciate about San Diego at no point that I make any kind of comparison anywhere else. About how San Diego's better about this or that than another place however You know he he could have said. I Guess Bro. Him So stoked for you and your family. It's going to be amazing. And so on I know you thrive and that kind of environment and I think that came up at some point but ultimately I response was is even finished actually. Yeah but Nashville is a great place to let me tell you why. And that went on for a while And he was constantly comparing. This is why Nashville is just as good or better than San Diego have really different conversation than what went into with all my joy about having just moved to this place and again. I could very easily compared to Nashville. Seeing how just came from there I did it. I didn't feel that it served us in any way to do that. In the end you know I just kind of sat and listened and ultimately there wasn't much left me to say other than YEP nationals great to thanks for the conversation so but at the same time you know it saddened me a bit. Because it took robbed us of some joy we could have had felt like it was. Kinda lame way to handle my joy. He sucked the joy out. And turn it into a debate. And it made me much more cognizant however of the way that you know that I handle conversation my tendencies to compare something even sometimes the the idea of relating like. Oh yeah this happened to me too sometimes can get into a comparison story like well you know was. That story is gone. I I don't like to get into that. It's so much nicer sometime just to listen to validate someone that's I mean this being cognizant of this lately it has really helped me to to create some better habits to counteract those tendencies as well. A lot of those are just questions. I'm asking myself and all all throw some of those in here at the end I'm I'm grateful you know that this experience is driven me towards that towards creating those practices but I want to break it down a little bit. odd affects your life as well. I talk about spirituality. And religion a lot obviously. So let's let's go there. I was raised in a fairly conservative Christian family. I've Amish Mennonite relatives that I'm very close to a lived in Mombasa Kenya. That's a Muslim town. I lived there for two years of close friends with all sorts of religions and beliefs and all kinds of walks life and I can talk to them about anything they they know that I'm not coming in to To debate necessarily it's not always been reputation but lately has been I'm not coming into the debate. I'm not trying to convert anybody. That's a big leap there from what we've been talking about. I'm not trying to convert anyone I've said to this friend. Actually before I was like hey could we have a conversation without you trying to convert me to your way of thinking I just? Can we just talk? There's freedom in that the need to compare ideologies and beliefs sort of Takes a lot of the peace out of any conversation about ideologies and beliefs and religions. In general I I know I tend to be pretty judgmental in that. They're saying you know it's this way or or not I suppose if they weren't though they have little need for religion. You just have a practice. Anyway that's another discussion. My point is that I can talk to a Muslim Hindu Christian agnostic atheist whatever. It doesn't matter about their beliefs while also talking about mine and still not feel the need to compare judge and I have a lot of friends that many of which are outside what I would call religion but very very very spiritually grounded and motivated and they also have the ability to have a very nice conversation without judgment because that's not built into their practice. I'm simply observing. I guess a perspective for what it is without comparing it to mine and and I value it for what it is in and of itself so if like if I won some contests or something for a new Ford Explorer. I'd be elated. It's a brand new car but if I start comparing it to like well you know we were talking about a Range Rover for explores not a Range Rover All of a sudden that great new car that great new gift that we you know just receive starts to turn into something less second-best it's not good enough. It's a bit less than I hope for. Whatever but if I don't compare it all I'm left with is Oh my God. I just want a new car. That's amazing so if I get a flat tire and talk about how bad it is and how late we're going to be in how difficult it's going to be to navigate now that It wouldn't be like this if we hadn't got a flat tire again. A comparison there. I'm sort of interlinking. The discussion of comparison judgment to which kind of go hand in hand won't take a lot of bit. I you know I can simply observe it and get out and fix it and carry on War I can judge it. You know I can judge the situation and compare it and and so on and so on in fact my I guess my normal response to getting a flat tire would be something like looking around and saying like what amazing things about to happen. Now what am I being tuned into making in that moment to experience the miracles that I do believe are floating around every.

"Jared and Katie in the morning. One zero seven five. Firefighters do not get paid enough money. I agree with that just in general. If all they had to do was fight fires. They don't get paid enough. That's all they had to do man. But listen to this a seventy year old, man. Got his quote, personal body part. Stuck in the slats of a park bench. Stuck in the park bench. Takes some maneuvering here's the thing. And you guys will you'll know this way better than I do. But as you get a little bit older things start to drop a little, right? All right. Takes hold, and I don't know if he was wearing shorts or what the deal was. Short shorts shorts his test. Got stuck in the slot. It's an honest. Yes. He sat down and found that when he went to stand up he could not he was stuck to the park bench. Wanna know what? I can't say. I want to say don't say there's an older gentleman that work here. But I'm not gonna say they must hang low. Hey, must have some issues. Slap props to worry about that. You don't even know you have to worry about. Here's a seventy year old, man. Just sitting on the park bench thinking what a beautiful day. And then all of a sudden, you're testes are alchemist last. Yeah. Have a cell phone now way for how I'm not sure how the firefighters knew that he was in trouble. We are. I'm asking people around him for help. Oh, y'all Perv flat. He kept college personal body part. Got his nuts on the slack. Him. He's fine. Fine. All right careful, if you're an older man or the short shorts or if you're going to sit on a bench just make sure that it's a flat one. The BVD's.
