"Dunno if he made a comment in the interview where he was like. You know he's not worried about social media just worried about becoming the best player he can become. That's refreshing to me I think there's a lot that goes along with being a Elite quarterback. And i think you have to be kind of all things to all people. And it'll benching. I think people love love. Trevor lawrence and love being around him And i think they're. I think jacksonville has a real chance here. And i think the urban meyer the number one thing. Ferber myers to be adaptable. And don't come in so many of these guys. When lou holtz became the jets coach. And i think quit fifteen weeks into it or something. I was joe named his last season in new york. He said he looks at the camera when he quit. And said god didn't make lou holtz to be an nfl coach right. I think there's a lot of college coaches who view that you view college. Nfl is so separate. And they're they're destined for one of those things and i don't think urban meyer views. There's a reason. I think that even meyer was studying bill ballot. Check in two thousand six. There's a reason that they had that bromance that that frankly led to a lot of. Gator is being drafted by bill belichick. But you don't start planning no seeds unless you have some interest in the nfl level. And i remember four or five years ago. People saying urban as such an ego that he wants to prove you can do it at the highest level. And there's a lack of of control you have in the nfl. They don't think certain college coaches like went. Nick sabin literally said When he was looking backwards. Nfl time he said well. I can't control my own destiny here and that was the problem. There are too many things no matter how hard. I work or no matter what i do. I can't. I can control my destiny in college by working hard. Making good choices. Create a good program for players. That was how sabin put it about college and in the nfl thinks that wasn't true. And so you're taking a completely different approach in the nfl and actually commend meyer. For taking asleep. I actually think it's gonna work as long as he doesn't view himself as sabin did as did as a couple of these guys did by between did As a college coach in the nfl and visa joseph football coach to adapt the nfl level. As soon as you possibly can. Some of his coordinators hires suggested he's ready to sort of jump to the nfl level and and kind of adaptive scheme to the nfl level. It is to me one of maybe the three or four trick questions on the field and twenty twenty one. I'm i'll be honest. i'm a little bit less bullish on it than than you are just in terms of how that's gonna work out. But the adaptability is is really critical. I mean i think we've we've a lot of people have softened on cliff kingsbury hype but that was the that was the thing that was so encouraging initially about cliff was that he demonstrated some adaptability. I think if you're making that leap that's just the essential quality. I do feel like we oughta stop straw manning social media. I think yeah. That was just a fact of life areas. Got to get over it. I agree with that Steve spurrier spurrier literally when he quit a source code. Espn that he realized. Once you realize offense couldn't work you baled and time serious that literally. That's literally in when when he quit the temporary accounts. Here's just like. Oh wow this is gonna work. I gotta go and that suggest a certain line of thinking and again is as long as ramar doesn't have that line of thing. I think you work. He's got a better quarterback the most these guys I think that the era is different. Were the merging of college. Pro is one of the biggest onfield stories of the last decade I think that this can work And i'm intrigued to see sort of how develops and the fact that there's going to be patients. They're like they're not gonna fire. The meyer after two years.

"Whether that's rare whomever say. He's not elite That he can do some things well and their questions about him. That have been answer. Maybe by the pro days maybe by tape away that's throwing on the run You know athletically. He's just average. I think most of the scouts reading those scouting reports from the kind of anonymous talked. Most them came away thinking he's fine He's got a something about him that makes people like him With i guess counts for something. Certainly at the quarterback position But the more. I read about this. I just don't understand why you would sell the farm. And i also think it's useful exercise nor if you were call just call all thirty two teams and say we'll give you three first round pick for your quarterback now many teams say no. Okay well ver very few the answer to that is very few. So the chiefs say no I'm not sure. I'm not sure the packers say no. I'm not sure for the seahawks. Say no the bill. Say no the bill say no. The chargers say no. It's like six teams. Max yes we get a american give it more thought the cardinals probably say no I'm just saying that's that's a lot to give up for a guy who we don't know if it's elite then dana jeremiah's point on twitter yesterday which i finishing for him for him. If you add in sam darnold's availability to the quarterback class. he would go third. it would go lawrence. Zack wilson. Sam darnold third freelance fourth justin fields fifth mack jones. Sixth talk so much about value. And one of the reasons i hated the daniel jones pick was not because danny jones. A bad player. I'll let dave cattleman do that. Evaluation fell in love at the senior bowl with them. All that stuff. It's because there was no evidence that there was a team behind them. There was going to take daniel jones. They could have gotten them later. In the first round and then there were reports in that. I think the giants kind of leaked that there were teams that are gonna take it and the reporters essentially found out. There was there was no team. There was ready to pounce on daniel jones. And i just think that was mack jones who according to demise essentially fifth best quarterback or six. You throw a hypothetical. Sam darnold availability I don't know if you need to sell the farm for that. And that's that's the word. I'm just looking at this purely standpoint. That's why i'm scratching my head as we said. I think this pick wage. Well because kyle shanahan is gonna turn mack jones. No significant better quarterback jones is on that was. That's why. I actually thought that when we look back on this deal and five or ten years look back on. It is a good one for san francisco because kyle shannon such good coach saying because he's a great coach because he can get these guys in the running because he can he can coach them up. That doesn't make every trade he. He executes invaluable. And i just i. The the logic of it is weird in that case right because everything that you said about mack. Jones likable guy brings people along with him. Smart capable like all of those things are true of jimmy garoppolo and we just did this so it just it. It does not make sense to me. But i mean it is true that if you want a quarterback lake there are a top five top five not a top four anymore no matter what order it goes in. That's that's just what it's going to be. An all of these guys are going to go in the top ten. I'm i'm increasingly shore by the day. So it's not as though there isn't comp like to the point about jones there's competition but at three. I just don't understand how mack jones fits into a conversation where the purpose is to raise the ceiling. Yes yes and you know so. John lynch has his jaw press conference last week and he says we paid somewhat of a premium. Doing an early and why that was important. I remember one bill while she's to talk about when i was stanford is you've got to beat your opponent to the punch yeah. I don't know. I don't know about that one john And i just don't know when when when jones is is what you're racing everybody to get to Is not know how useful that is You know breer essentially said that that the reason they're doing. This is the one control of chaotic quarterback situation In the draft. And that they don't wanna have to sit there and be be passengers where everybody else is making us elections. I just think that when you start first round picks are really really really valuable and I don't know i wouldn't have done this deal. Well he wouldn't have done the deal to move up just three at all. I don't wouldn't have done it for for for this. Much of a premium. And that's what you're gonna do in a quarterback heavy draft. Would you not have done this. I don't yeah..

"Or either everyone welcome to digital conversation inside host. Billy bates joined by david wilkinson chairman jeff phones and we'll be talking about the rebecca benchmark survey that we did in conjunction with the rope. Texoma last month. Dave extra data to do it was a super interesting study given. We're going to be blown away with findings yet. I think it's really interesting. Human doctoral roy did the mit study probably a decade ago. Now were together on putting this together for us So what was the objective with the study and a little bit of african doctoral great and i did a study looking response times on on. How quickly leads go cold. And so we had. I've been a lot of work together. He was teaching at mit. At the time. I think subsequently he's been at several universities teaching locally river secret. Byu so came to us. And said i'd like to actually analyze what's happening in the market around technology that supports this new growth title right so the one thing you shared with is there's a new title essential emerging in the market around growth rate growth revenue marketing revenue growth marketing title. Cheap doesn't said. Hey let's do a study to see what's the technology that supporting that more importantly i think what we're trying to understand was is it. Silence today was becoming the same thing. Let's kinda dig into a little bit of what we found before. Sure some of the methodology. I've got some notes is people doing. This went to the right or to the left. They'll know what i'm doing but the attended the we actually had a shockingly large number of respondents. We had almost nine hundred respondents survey today. That's that's a crazy number honestly yet. The reason we were able to to get such a large number is this was tied to your event Everyone that registered had the option to take the survey took anywhere to five minutes depending on how detailed you want to be But we went through. We were asking. Okay what are you guys use in the jags revenue technology. We broke it down the do of what we thought were the top ten. Kelly works and the findings were really interested. So yeah the categories were. We were looking. Well i think i have it here. Kind of standard categories. You'd expect so yes. See our marketing. Automation email marketing. Seo comes marketing compensation the usual stuff web optimization solution. Diligence sales may our sales automation like his aunt outreach. That's right and i think you'll see here soon. There's of the study. It's about probably seventy pages pretty pretty groovy study and there are fifty six charge. Ten of them are just the results of the questions. Eleven analyze the technologies used by region nine analyze based off the company size ten analyzed by industry and then ten really digging digging into what combinations are effective so again. The court rejected was to say what's happening in revenue related technology. And the kind of just hit that the key finding what we found was the revenue for sure. These technologies are being bundled together. You're using sales. Marketing technologies are no longer separate silos. Were seven and begin to intertwine and we call them couplings. There's lots of a revenue supporting technologies. That are both on the marketing side and sell

"It. We got you covered. Let me tell you. What i think is no doubt all right. Well we got what we got right. Hey check it out. Word on the street is russell. Wilson once pit inputs. Use me only offense coordinator search now. The seahawks should give him whatever he wants. Nacion not whatever he wants but he should absolutely have input on the search russell. Wilson's in all time. Great quarterback in fact russell wilson. This year fell off in the second half. It looked like this year is gonna win. Mvp fell off in the second half. But i would say until the second half of this year over the last half decade. He's been the best player in the nfl not meaning. He was the best player in any one season. He probably wasn't but over the entirety of the half decade. There was no one worth more than russell. Wilson in the nfl. So yeah he has standing and they should they should take input are check it out after missing out on a james harden trade war word on the street has been clemens was on the block. Hey check it out the seventy sixers shit. Still trade been symon nas on someone who feels that citizens data better off separate not that. They can't play well together. But simmons development as a player would more mirror the greeks freaks if he was on a team built just for him. That said the way kevin durant plan. What answer is there in. The east and ben simmons is the closest you have simmons. No one's gonna stop the rent one on one defensively but simmons is your best bet and you're going to need them know. The sixers should hang onto. Ben simmons and by the way sabre analytically. How you okay darryl maurice into the analytics. So who does he get dwight. Howard seth curry danny green. What they all have in common we. High percentage scores they only take high percentage shots and they're good at converting them but simmons however simmons has created more open looks from three than any player in the nba since he's entered the league. Hey check it out how you heard earlier on this week this week. On our show from friends damien. Woody bart scott. The nhl season has started this week. Mass max kellerman can name one current player komax is wayne gretzky scope still playing so more he going to come on give me one to dignify that with with a response right all right. We'll move on. We'll move on run somebody. But here's lebron take a listen to adam schefter. I think there's a real possibility that that happens. And i can tell you that in speaking to people across the league. They've raised that issue and concern. That eropean me might not be in the catbird seat here to land one of these jobs. Eric enemy could get passed over again. No doubt and by the way alive made of this and including by me look. There aren't a lot of black offense coordinators and those are the guys getting a lot of the jobs nowadays right at least until recently was the if the trend continues and now you have a black offense coordinator who by the way is the offense coordinator of the best offense in the league and he can't get a job. I have to imagine the enemy does not interviews very well as a head coach. You know people have certain things in mind in terms of the style of leadership they want from a head coach and i think in the enemies case because thinking how good a team would look if they hired him they know it would look great and obviously he knows what he's doing on offense the fact that he hasn't landed a job tells me suggests to me maybe in his personality in the interview isn't coming across or if it is it's coming across as not like a head coach. La you think the lakers are sweating the nets three here. We had to say max kellerman show espn radio..

"And should angle junior at four pm all of course eastern standard time for more likely than not that. This will be the last postseason from germany as you look at tom brady. Tom brady again to. Nobody did he. Signed with fox's came to the division like that was to be on playoff aspirations and beyond just like us. I'm gonna get degrees right now. I just gotta say the mayhew size of the yanks resigns Six years ninety million. All i can say. I'm sure that's more years in the yankees wanted to give him. But that's a great deal on the per annum basis. Lemay was an mvp caliber player. Yankees getting fifteen a year in this day and age. That's a great deal all right brady vs brees. I called. I said on i said tomorrow. It's sunday brees is five and two versus brady and his career including two in this year so even if you take out this year. He's three and two against brady. Did that math right away. Roger see that in my head nafta write it down or anything. I use my fingers maybe five and to take away these two games three and got it three and two. But what's interesting is everyone thinks like. How do you beat a guy. Three times in the same season you know what the record is in modern. Nfl history since the merger. Nine hundred sixty nine seventy in modern. Nfl history if you beat a team twice in the regular season what are the odds that you're going to be the beginning of the playoffs. Teams are fourteen and seven under those circumstances. They win twice as much as they lose. If they which stands to reason. You've beaten them twice. You're better than they are. You're not gonna win every game but usually gonna win so in the playoffs twice as likely to win as to lose now. Is there any kind of extenuating circumstances. Here there are a bunch number. One drew brees is extensively healthy. Michael thomas is back emmanuel sanders. Kamara drew brees has his full complement of weapons. He's barely had that this entire season. Where else he's been hurt when those guys are available right. But now they're all available and grease because of the injury had a long had an extended absence from the field of play so maybe a little less wear and tear actually at this point in the season compared to recent years in the playoffs and the saints get pressure from their front four. Have to bring extra guys to get pressure and brady don't like pressure. Look i know it's it's like in boxing. You don't like it the body. No one likes it in the body genius right. You hit a guy in the body. Hit him in the body. But same thing with quarterbacks like pressure if you can get pressure on the quarterback without sending an extra guy. Oh gee you mean if you can go. Have someone unblocked running at the quarterback and yet not have extra guys to do it so the defense is still covering the offensive players. That's harder for a quarterback less time to throw to. yeah yeah. it is but especially older quarterbacks. Were not mobile. It's true too bad match up for brady. Here is the one caveat. Here's the one caviar son. Here's the one caveat ready antonio brown we forget antonio brown's on the team the way we think of antonio brown is like a nice receiver. But not abe. mike. Evans is a stud. Godwin's stud neither one of those guys are in antonio brown's class to understand if not a hard choice evans at his best is not shining. Shoes and evans is excellent. And tony brown. If he's at his best as one of the five best receivers who ever lived. Don't believe me look it up. Don't just it. And by the way he plays great under pressure. I've talked to people in the nfl guys around the team former teammates guys who played against him not say the basic attitude is take a guy like a odell beckham junior. He does care what his teammates think about him. Like a good dude. Don't always get along with every team. Whatever but he cares cares too much. Feels that pressure in the playoffs. Right have bad playoff game. Giants get to the playoffs. He's dropping passes and stuff. He don't care about anyone but ab like it tonio brown. What is so consequently feels no pressure in the game balls out. He's clutch and really. How many receivers can you say for sure. Better jerry. Rice randy moss. Who else giving you get. That was definitely better than they be. Who who was right here. Torello knobs are. You can't look at t o and say he's definitely better navy at all the way abe was putting up like crazy numbers men better you. You might argue to yo against debut. Or julio jones against a be or calvin johnson at his best. But it's an argument is an argument. Ab was great and he should be in his physical prime right if he's really antonio brown. Maybe that changes the equation ronald in florida. You're on the max kellerman show. Espn radio okay. Max is breezes under more pressure for all the reasons that you just said. They have this super defense and he has all of his guys on office. I'm gonna. I'm just gonna say this. If the bucks beat the saints this weekend brady and brees will forever be intertwined as to russell and chamberlain of the nfl. You heard one good poll. Although in this case a wilt chamberlain not only put up better numbers but also one more like you know. Brady's both wilt chamberlain and bill russell. If the bucks beat the saints. Let me say this. Here's what's on the line for brady tom. It's pretty easy to go to all the super bowls when you're in the worst division the history of football over twenty years. They've won great quarterback ever had to play great quarterback he ever had to play his entire career in the afc east knowing the best. One was chad pennington. Who was before. He got hurt with a nice quarterback with a wet noodle arm a very good quarterback but no one was as a hall of fame or anything like that and usually he's playing garbage. So yeah you know you have to do you. Wind up with the best record in the division every year. You have a bye in the first round you win. One home playoff game the afc championship game. You mean to tell me the first season. Tom brady goes to a division with another great quarterback drew. Brees you lose all three. That's bad for. Tom brady now on the line for breeze. You're absolutely right more. This is probably drew. Brees his last season. When you talk about the greatest quarterbacks ever there is a video on that someone put together. That is amazing to me. It was daniel. Woody re tweeted. It was from new orleans saints. They put it together. Stephen said today was talking about drew. Brees and he said he's he believes the droopy. He's going to walk away from the game of basketball. He met football. But the new orleans saints as damian what he say got petty and they put together a highlight of drew. Brees doing like basketball supposed- basketball highlights like throwing the football into a basketball hoop but it looked like a i take something. I'm watching it right. Now he ducks down into the water. He's talking about like blind football three point or whatever he called it pops out of the water and i don't know throws the ball. What thirty yards like drew. Brees is the most accurate quarterback who ever lived retired. The price who's even in his category for accuracy. I saw another social media video. He competed against an olympic archer. They had like ten shots at the bullseye. The archer got like three or four droopy. He's got like seven or eight believable. But who the five best quarterbacks ever. Anyone drew brees there aside a new orleans. No one is ten best. Yeah he's probably on the ten best list for how long though with guys like homes on the way right if drew brees can go on to win another super bowl that changes things to super bowl xl what happened. Elway two super bowls and this is the best team. He's been on giving him his best chance since he won the first one his last shop probably huge pressure on drew brees more than on brady checkout marvel studios.

"The jets are hiring former forty nine years defensive coordinator robert saleh as their new head. Coach sides grin of five year. Deal reminds me a lot of the edwards. Put the fire. Rex ryan roger. I see this is the way. Let me just tell you really quick. What's going on here because we need to get into this jets higher right now. But it's cova days or social distancing. Everyone's working at home so there are lots of kind of new stuff. You'd never anticipated for example. I was talking about it yesterday. My slippers are smell. My feet smell like i can't even explain it because i don't think slippers were meant to be worn twenty four hours a day at least all waking hours put baking soda am feeder. Still sweating out here anyway. Another thing that we're dealing with is working from home. So i'm at home. Got a laptop. I got a zoom screen and roj producers in los angeles rogers to produce max and marcellus out in la on espn la. Now i rely when. I'm looking at the rundown like what are we going to talk about next. I relying on raj having the right thing in front of me big mistake. Big mistake yeah. That's your first mistake. That's my house brennan you. Also you also should rely on the sound that brennan just played which was leading you into what we're doing. We call that a blinker that they've put together and it was talking about the jets. I wanted to. But i also wanted to credit the right sources. You were rich sumida typic- espn jets reporter. Has this to say about the higher for the new york jets robert jal who was an excellent defensive coordinator for the san francisco forty niners by the way when solid took over. They had the dead last defense in the nfl. Within two seasons he had them in consecutive seasons after that. A top five defense. I wanna say he knocked out in the interview. They all loved him. His former players like richard. Sherman and richard sherman. Just tells you what he thinks. It's like they got a great one matter of fact when the giants were looking for coaches i remember thinking solid was in the mix. That'd be good jets have real competency at the top now. And this is what rich cimini. Espn's jets reporter has to say about. Sam darnold future new york given this higher when the defensive guy becomes the head coach the most important higher as the coordinator adam. Schefter reported michael floor with the passing game. Coordinator in san francisco is expected to follow solid new york to become the jets and support. Nater he comes from the shanahan system. And i think that's really interesting because sam darnold whose future appears to be up in the air with the jets is very familiar with that system. He ran it as a rookie with the jets in two thousand eighteen. So maybe that tilts the scale a little bit toward sam remaining with the jets this offseason by the way sala is a lebanese-american by the way you know i have some lebanese american friends. I haven't even called them about this bet you they're very excited about it and by the way why not right when when if you're a member of a group that is represented and in this case like the lebanese population in this country is not like for example. The african american population unbelievably underrepresented in coaching position. But still of course. You're going to be excited. If you see another member of your group in a position of leadership it shows you what's possible and solids just a good solid is just a seems to be on every account a good hire. Now you heard what you mean just said which the mini just said. Espn zone to john anderson on sportscenter. You heard what he just said which is when a defensive coordinator gets hired. The question is who they going to hire to run the offense but as many have pointed out the most important thing for the jets is not whether it was an offensive or defensive coordinator. It was that you had a leader and a guy can head an organization as head coach because the jets had been dysfunctional bart. Scott former jet former raven joins me on the goodyear hotline scoring on bart. Also acuras. how you doing today. i'm doing well. You sound like you're doing well you you sound fired up about this sala hiring well first of all. He's from dearborn michigan which is in my hood from michigan dearborn. Maybe about Just when he was getting to what d- how far dearborn was from wherever in michigan he got cut off bart by the way bart scott can be heard on barton han as many of you know in the new york area from to sorry from noon to two eastern the lead in here. The max kellerman show. Espn radio raj. I have an idea. Why don't we try to get back. Pay be having some problems and not a producer but let me just try. Maybe we call him back and see if we can get them back on the sidelines looking forward to talking to bar. Various bar i'm sorry. That raj dropped your call. That was uncalled for. I don't know why but anyway like the jet fans happy. That's what that's all about. Neither alex funniest amazing. How people always call you when they know you work in and i pushed the wrong button. But i'm back about the about the higher. And i'll tell you why i'm excited. Because finally they got a man. And i'm happy that finally they broke outside of that structure then hire a search firm. They lead joe. Douglas do its most general. Managers do make their own higher because at the end of day they're going to be attached at the hip. And this thing joe. Douglas going down with it because he's out of excuses. Your adam gates wanted joe douglas. But joe doug is realized early on the adam gates. Wasn't the man that he wanted to put the future his legacy and strike. Let me ask you something. You're working with alan hot. Obviously barton han. Guys are doing great. Do you have to pretend to like hockey ever on that show. You know how to like hockey. Sometimes or maybe he really does. What's that. I do every once in a while. But he gets fine five dollars every time he mentioned hockey. Admit to you maximus. I'm a closet red fan because guess what growing up in detroit as clinton years when the lions were nothing where the new repairs this thought and you looked up and you had nothing to root for but the but the red wings were pretty much the yankees of hockey. They were spending that money. And they were winning championships. Federal is sermon and all those other guys is good star. Became a hockey fan. Because i had nothing else to root for a less i wanted to cram his sleep thinking about the new breed pistons part. If you keep talking about hockey.

"I know he's excited about getting back on the court with his teammates. You know as soon as possible and just in case you're wondering if you don't know and you don't sometimes you don't see these guys on. Tv sean marks has that australian zealand background. So that's what james harden game hearted. What do you think here j. So the way didn't see a win win for nets right now and so when when position and your position is if kyri decides to come back and be a part of this team you would think that hard in them going out and acquiring him would get the attention of curry that we can do it. Now we're going around all the pieces to get this thing done if he comes back great if he doesn't if he chooses not to. If issues continue thing you have to deal with that. But now you have james harden and kevin durant on the same team still a recipe for success in the eastern conference. I'm not saying. I get you over the hump to beat the lakers in the finals. But man it gives you a legit shot. I think i think cairo he'll sit back and assess the situation and he'll be back in the fold. How could you not right. You wanna miss out on the party. You don't wanna miss out on the party. You wanna be a part of that. You don't wanna be the reason that they don't make you want to be the reason and be a part of why they make it from a macro sense jay and once again the nets will be back on the floor tomorrow night at the barclays center. They'll take on orlando sean marks. I mean the acquisition of kevin durant the acquisition of james harden. It has been an incredible run for what he's been able to do now. Dealing with the kyri controversy. I mean you wanna talk about having your hansel really incredible what he's been able to do but also what's in front of them right now. I gotta tell you though for a while. Sean sees a lot of things before they happen. I think that's one of his superpowers. And i know that sean spent time thinking about how to react to kyri when these issues or something like this potentially comes up. And i think this far the way he's had to manage those personalities strong personalities give him a pretty good great now. Whether that trickle down effect how that continues to blossom. Offensively with steve nash. And might think tony. That's something that we're going to be watching it throughout the entire year. And that's something to keep tabs on to j. brought it up yesterday but the fact that you've got a first year coach that granted is the two time. Mvp but has never actually been a coach having to manage all of these personalities and then having his right hand man his old coach to be able to go and ask advice from. It's just a fascinating situation. All the way around and again life with hardin begins tomorrow night. We'll see if he's in uniform and kyrie hopefully back. Next week it all begins at home against the orlando magic. We're presented by progressive insurance all of our guests on the goodyear hotline including bill. Parcells coming your way. Am eastern time on the way when of urban best college players next..

"Jay williams zubin are espn. Nfl reporter will be covering the game. That real quick for me Kimberly kareem hunt going back to kansas city. The team that drafted him. Where's his emotions at well man. He said he's a man on a mission like he said. This is personal teammates. Even nick chubb said this week you know cruise been talking about this is not new is going to happen like this match up. What happened so he the key to me is. This can't be too emotional for korean like they. He has to continue doing what he's been doing with nick shop. They don't care who's how they put the carries because they both have been productive. He needs to come out. Have a good game. But not like the emotion of the moment and where he's playing overtaken. I wanna talk to you real quick about the jets and their new head coach robert sala day day project fans great day happy especially with the how he's announcing staff bring it on michael floor with him guy that comes from that kind of kyle. Shanahan offense what does that mean for. Sam darnold. I don't think we know that me and all this lefort could could work to fix sam darnold's but right now everything's on the table when you got a new head coach the gm who didn't draft darnold those opium. You watch three years of bad quarterback play and your team. That has the number two overall pick like sam darnold future with the team isn't at all that If you're sam darnold you might be somewhat hype like okay. Cool salad like before. Okay i feel like you know. Based on what they've done in san francisco. This could be good for us. But that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be on the roster in september. I've before like if you don't have to be you have nothing and the jets right now. Sal is inheriting a a situation where he has no. qb he has no set answer. The just ruined darnold's development so it'll be on him to decide if he can sort of fix a decent cube and tournament to something great or just say. Hey you know what. There's a lot of holes to fix the number two pick. I'm moving on to new. Qb it's great perspective. Because kim spent five years on the jets beat and it seems like you know it seems like that's at least good for two head coaches right fucking now. They've got one that they hope. You will be there for a long time if they get this one right. This is being universally praised throughout the nfl and football circles as a great move for the jets. And kim concurs kim. We will look for you sunday before the game on sunday. Nfl countdown and then after the game on sportscenter for the very latest between the browns and the chiefs one of whom will be headed to the afc title game. Kim thank you very much. Thanks cam fellas. Let's go from what's man gourmet. Abc's yeah okay. Hang. j yeah. What was klay pools name. I was fine. You twister. i know is chase claypool. And i say class i got it. Hey i watched a few of my time to these guys are the worst. I knew this was going to happen as soon as it came out of my mouth. I said damn it. Well you know. But you know. I'm not going to be the one it's going to be twitter. Is that english. What does this mean. That's going to be the one i mean. Why do you think people call me. Zee now can't finally. you can't get it wrong. We just got a lot of names botch zubi. You'd be surprised nobody. Nobody gave any mess when he messed up. On on clyde edwards. Helaire i did you see you say ooh too. Many names are see you. Didn't you kept going. You just wanted to go away out of it. You just keep going like it didn't happen but i t's we knew he knew you guys are the worst as we go from abc. Here's an unmistakable. Name that all sports fans know that would be one mickey mantle as we go from a to z here mickey mantle. Five point two million dollars. Sale of mickey mantle baseball card. Five point two million dollars key real quick. This is how this tried to do us wrong. This morning i'm reading the notes and they're like. Oh yeah this is worth five point. Two million dollars keys card on amazon. We're two dollars jays card amazon. Worth a dollar fifty. That's what are now day. Marquardt is worth two dollars. Probably a car that they do pay to eighteen million times. But i'm not spinning. Well i guess art though right yeah. It's artists an investment. They put it away and it goes up i. I'm not a collector zubin so it just sounds absurd but i guess that's a collector's item is probably the only one in the world. Sports cars right now. Are one of the hottest things out there in. Business is booming. These cards it's one of those things where it's like it's retro. What's old is new again. We're all over the age where he kinda remember. We're like baseball card. Collecting was a thing. If you're like a millennial now you're like what in the world talking about. It was a big thing back in the day. It's gotta be art. that's right. that's the way i would justify. Enda no offense to the fellas because they had great athletic careers. And i just watched them but think about it. The shipping and handling on a key or j card is more expensive than the cart shipping in the handle is what you see. We're not gonna let you do that to me. Because the car they re referring to referencing gotta be a car. That was made ten times over. I'm not going out like that fair enough. So if you're cold blooded zubin marking that one. A lot of shots being fired today on his show two dollars. Yeah are right right and j you got work to do your fifty cents behind him and my name is second on the show zubin. I get it all right here. We go jay. This is important. This is right up your alley. The nets the nba. And what's going to be happening with these huge story. Sean marks teams gm addressing the kyri irving absence. What's going on. Here's the gm and then we'll get jay's reaction. They're completely separate from from one another car absence. And you know the personal issues that he's dealing with Has nothing to do with us. Going after attending james harden and this regarding kyri when he he'll be hopefully back and rejoining the team you're part of that is due me up for the nba and we're waiting for them to come out with so they ruling on the health and safety protocols hopefully we'll have a ruling soon. You know i have talked to kyri..

"The question is how easy of a time. We'll the kansas city chiefs. Have with the cleveland browns. As we get set for divisional weekend. Pardon the cliche. But if i hear another person telling me this is they're favourite weekend of the nfl playoffs. I think my head is gonna explode. I let my favorite weekend if the nfl player. I love the one where they hand out the trophy and say oh by the way. This is why we've been doing this since late. July every single week is the favorite right well of individual championship week. And then the super bowl fair enough. So we'll the chiefs who were in the super bowl won it last year. They win their second title in as many years after waiting fifty years between championships or will the browns play in the super bowl for the first time in their franchise. History zuber was so interesting about this weekend. This is really truly where the stars of football is made. And that's why people do like. And i was only half joking there in in because the divisional is like your two games away from getting to the super bowl. We're legit got the by or we won a game and we deserve. You can't tell us we can't you. Don't talk about that ball. Wildcard wiki talk about dues. The ball this weekend in the next 'cause you and this week and you're on the cusp and then you're on the cusp of you know. What the super bowl okay. So obviously the chiefs have been there done that. The browns are trying to get their do that so sammy watkins ready to go. And you heard what. Juju smith schuster of the steelers. Here chase claypool. Maybe some sour grapes after they lost the browns essentially saying. Hey they're not that much of competition sammy watkins. He's battled a lot of injuries this year. Got a tweet right. Actually and say claim paul actually said he doesn't like the way that the browns mocked mike. Actually that's not what happened. You know they actually go. No doubt no doubt maple china degrade season. But as i said. I didn't think that was a great one on the way out the door. But this is the power of social media. You could reach out to anyone at any time. So dude named hunter who by the looks of his Avatar here he's got chief celebrating in the avatars. I'm guessing a kansas city. Thin hunter essentially just to name hunter. That's all it comes down to tweeted at sammy. Watkins looks like we got some comp next week in other words. Looks like we got some competition next week. We can actually step up who the browns could real off twenty eight in the first quarter. We might actually have to pay attention to this team. Sammy watkins than simply replied to our guy. Hunter i wouldn't go that far l. o. L. so in other words channeling a little bit of do in a little bit of chase so hunters not a cleveland brown no hunters chief's fan and essentially saying hey man we got a little competition. You better get ready and sammy's that come on but that's the same thing if you said some stopped right i mean it's the same thing it's not he's not. Sammy is not going at the cleveland. Browns i understand that from you guys standpoint in the media zubin guys like you and like the drumming every time right now. If i don't see your media credential you can't talk to them but it all seriousness though. He's not taking a shot directly at the cleveland browns. He's he's talking back to a fan. Who tweeted at him and he's just letting him know no man we good. We not worried about the j. Before you step in just real quick. It's time for straight talk. Brought to you by straight talk wireless. Let's just say. Baker mayfield is not taking the bait here at all. I have no problem with it with you. Because if you don't have confidence then you you're not gonna have success and those guys have been doing it together for a few years now. They have a ton of confidence in each other. And so people get mad when you put it out there you know your bulletin board material but I mean. I don't have a problem. It comes with the nature of this game. You gotta be common got no Leaving yourself straight talk wireless no contract no compromise jay now that we've got the totality of it. We got to fan. We got sammy. We got cleveland responding. What do you think you know. Like a doesn't bother me what sami said. But i think what's more impressive to me is the way that the browns continue to handle everything you know. Every time i remember to browns married them being his team last year all this hype was about. There was a lot of talk from their camp in this year. There are only really speaking when they're being spoken about right by somebody else. Like somebody referencing with juju said or you know kind of addressing this not barking backlog. Just letting their play kind of dictate their words right i. It's it's it's impressive to see the change in the dynamic of this franchise it. It doesn't mean that cleveland's gonna all of a sudden a matching go get the kansas city chiefs baker bulletin board material you. You don't college football. Isn't that a high school football. They're not posting things all over the locker room. See what he said. They'll deal with that in the post game if they win. They'll say something. If they lose nothing will be said. The same thing that happened with the washington football team when young chase said what he said as a young football player in the national football league talking about getting. After tom brady. The offense alignment did their job. And that was it game over. They didn't win the game when other key..

Relationship Differences: Men Are Like Waffles Women Are Like Spaghetti Bill & Pam Farrel - burst 16
"And women are like spaghetti. And we're back here and we're talking through their book and we're having a great. You guys have a good time. I'm having a great time by the way as like a double date with you on your legs so these are something that come back kind of around. What's romantic to a guy and what's romantic to a guy is When you can lower his stress and raises ability to succeed and So we women. We've process stress different than men We talk our way through stress. Like when i'm stressed out. My mom knows what my sister knows it. My best friend miles it. The clerk at the grocery sir will have stressed out but guys when they're stressed out. They like to go their favorite easy boxes to rest and recharge can like a battery battery charger but the creator kind of clued us girls in in that. Most man's favorite boxes are shaped like boxes the tv screen shape but the box. That phone is shaped like a box. The computer shaped like a box the refrigerator shaped like a box football field basketball court baseball diamond soccer goal pool table deer blind. They're all shaped like boxers. They realized like a box the bed shaped like that read haman auto box. That's a favor bond together to her husband's It's kind of like the free square in the middle of bingo card. You can get there from every other square on their waffen. You oughta romance a guy you figure out what is favorite easy boxes are then you tie them to gather for example. If i wanna romance bill all of our boys were college athletes. Since so you know tickets to a college football game then box number two bills a great cook and so taking him to a good healthy gourmet restaurant he would love that and then Also box number three that bingo box. That would be okay. Red hot monogamy. Vox he's favorite bucks to go to. He would give you the tickets to the college football game to make sure that that bingo boxes and so oftentimes civil and romancing and guy is like just curl up next to him. Watch the game only talk during the commercials and bring something wrapped in bacon and it's a win and if it's a square that would even be better like baking. And she sandwich that would be. That would be awesome pam. Here's the thing that i thought about. When i read that part of that everything was box. Which by the way thought was brilliant by the way when i read it was like everything i really do is square. But you know what's interesting. Isn't it that a woman has curves and it's kind of like a guy you kinda go. Oh that's different. It's not jagged edged. It's not sharp. It's soft and it's kind we kind of have this caveman. Hello what is that. What is that saying. It's so soft and it's curvy it doesn't have. It's not a square again. Rotate it right and it really is. It's a mystery to us. Isn't it because she's not like anything that we generally fit into our box and i i so appreciate you bringing it up because the attitude we need to have is this is a mystery. I'm going to explore in a joy the life we understand her just appreciator. Robot was so many guys. Dues begin irritated with it right rather than stay fascinated were like. Can't you just change. Can't you become more like me. 'cause you're too much work right and and nobody wants to be thought of. It's too much work but everybody loves to be thought of as a fascinating mystery is so we can set our minds that that's the way we're going to approach us our whole lives and i tell guys all the time all you need to be successful with. Your wife is curiosity. Don't ever lose your curiosity and don't ever lose the sense that i'm gonna learn something new about my wife's this month and next month i'm going to learn something else and then i'm gonna learn something else and we knew. Stay curious and you you take the pressure off yourself to understand like like i tell guys all the time
Getting Relative With the Inevitable and Catching Greenlights with Matthew McConaughey
"Matthew mcconnahey on dose of leadership. I can't believe it what was show my friend good to be here. It's a great topic to talk about will never go out of style talking about this job. Yeah no can. I say i love the book i read it and i listened to it to different experiences and i'm glad i did both because the visual aspect of the book was i listened to it i because it is easier for me being on a plane and stuff but then i read it and i. It's like i got two different experiences. I got a lot out of it doing both ways. I he said that to you about a few bums. Somebody said to me. When i read it they they read it it with their own voice. Yeah in the hear me read it audio only for short hair my voice and hey heard laughed in places that they didn't laugh when they read it herbie point out certain things that maybe they'd skipped over and toast the reading same book but getting two different things out of it each. Yeah no it was just great. And i think it was. I don't know it was a great book. For the time i think for the year i mean it was profound a lot of ways in the sense and i thought well god this would be a good topic because there's so many areas of leadership and i don't know if you've ever looked at it that way but at least it's a big umbrella a lot of stuff you talk about in here and this show is about like how to kind of navigate through life and that's what the book is rate and i love the concept of the green lights but to me the i talk a lot about on the show and i used to come from the marine corps. The biggest thing i learned is like how to be a composed forcing a chaotic situation. And that's what your book was to me was like you seem to embrace this idea. That look man. It's never smooth. It's never a straight line it's jagged it's up and down and those red lights and the yellow lights that we come across. There's a that's the stuff that kind of shapes us and there's green light assets. I think is the term that you used that are inside of those things that resonates with me because i think life is about. You can lead a significant life if you can learn how to be composed force in a chaotic situation. And that's what i got out of your book. How does that resonate with you. I say i love that term to please remind me that i got to write it down now but i really like composed force in chaotic situation. Yeah i mean you know. I don't care what your i don't think it matters what someone's beliefs are whether they're a believer in another life after this or if they're sort of hey life's all about cruelty. We're just dying every day. That's all that's all fine or if you're an eternal optimist you know every day great. We've got another son rose for me. That wasn't guaranteed ever way. Jeter ever end of the spectrum anyone's from either way the more proactive the more constructive. The more the more healthy more fun choice is to go well by believe in that you know we're just dying off every day in the world's cruel and it sucks to be here that's fine shake hands that so now we might as well do it with pleasure in it with dignity. Is that bring that that that that line later in the book right. Say in those times where we feel like. It's all for nothing more. The math of the world adds up to say. Oh tall for nothing. What it's in those moments that are part and parcel with only. It's all for everything right. The alternative you know. And i'm wishing hallmark card delusion i'm trying to. I'm not a fan of that stuff. I'm not a pep rally. Cheerleader guy. i'm trying to find practical stuff. I've tried to find it my own life and of it is to pull another line for the book. If you do have an island point of view okay well then purchased this once. you know. it's a near dawn right. So if you're going to say oh. It sucks within go. Well okay gonna make the best of it however so i think that's what you what you're loading to in certain times where my red and yellow lights in the l. All having when. I bring up something as simple as sense of humor being default emotion on not within the contradictions that that i'm not i'm not i'm using bring that up. Say that doesn't deny the crisis now. It's just another tool to help you deal with it. It's more survival. And some of these things maybe thrive but at least can use to help better survive. And how little more satisfaction getting through this rodeo. We're all in right. you know. it's not. It's not even fair to say it's a a a typical book that i mean it does. It does have things that you can apply to your life. But it's not a how to book is a memoir sweat slash. These are the things that worked for me. Take it if you like it. If not i don't i don't you know this is what this is. What my life is did. You is that i guess. What was the intent when you set out to right. It wasn't to help people like myself or help other people or was it just to kinda get your authentic self out. There was a deleted legacy for your kids. it was all the above. What was it. I mean i mean somewhat all the above started off i thought it was gonna be before i opened up that big trust of journals to see what i had in them ones. I've been keeping for the last thirty six years i i. I had an idea of what i thought i was gonna find. You and i thought it would be very academic. I thought it was going to be very self help. I thought it was going to be sort of. If then if then and i like some of that but again back can start to lean into that hallmark or world and self has got. You know we've all i've got. I've got a decent relationship with with with self help. But i like i like my sort of wisdom to have little more context and allow me the individual to have the power to go rhino acting. Apply this in a different way and my position and this is i can apply in a particular way that no one else can. We each can do that.

What is psychological strength?
"Everyone welcome back to the building. Psychological strength podcast. My name is april. And i'm your host. I am so excited that you tuned in this week. I'm absolutely freaking out am completely giddy. Because this week is episode number drummer. All two hundred. I'm so excited before we jump into what the content of the actual episode is. I want just give a little shoutout and a little. Psa to anybody who is thinking about starting a new project and feels apprehensive about your ability level. You may be. Don't feel comfortable. Maybe you feel like you're comparing yourself to other people who are further down the road than you I'm just gonna tell you start. Let's go all the way back and you can actually do this. You can go on your podcast app. All the way back to episode one to three. They are still out there all the way back then. This podcast had a different title. It was called women inspired. This podcast had a different focus. That was actually very unfocused. Which is something. That i did wrong right so didn't even really think about my title wrong. was not focused on a particular topic wrong might cover art. I spent about fourteen seconds designing it. I think in powerpoint wrong wrong wrong. Wrong wrong I didn't really research how. I should set myself up on itunes or anything like that about how to make the podcast successful wrong and i had terrible audio quality. I edited myself all of these things. I did all of them wrong. And yet here we are at two hundred episodes with a growing thriving audience. It happened because i made every mistake and just committed to trying to figure them out so for you if there is a project that you wanna take on whether it's gonna create a website or a blog and you don't know how to start if it is. You wanna learn how to watercolor paint or snowboard this year or whatever it happens to be get out there get started and go suck for a little bit. It's gonna be fine It's so exciting to see where we've ended up the focus that we have in a topic area that i am so incredibly in love with and so passionate about and frankly a topic area that can help one hundred percent of people who stumble across this podcast. And that's why you know. We call the podcast building psychological strength. Because we want to teach you how to use some really rigorous tools and techniques to help yourself thrive and live better and for this exciting celebratory. Two hundred episode of the podcast. We wanted to dive in a bit to what we mean by psychological strength. Because i'll be super honest. We made it up. It's not a thing it's not an actual thing. We made it up and the reason why we made it. Up is because so much of the field of psychology is very academic focused. It's very behind the closed doors of a therapist's office it is i've tower academia and all of those things are very important and they play a role but they are not mechanisms for getting information out to a wide audience. So what we wanted to do with this. Podcast is talk about some of this really cool rigorous stuff in a way. That's a bit more approachable. And we came up with the term psychological strength because it really encompasses all of the facets that we think about and this is you know even in the ivory tower even in academia in therapeutic settings all of the facets that we think about that go into a person's mental wellbeing and the two hundredth episode. We want to dive into that. So ashley's here with me. We're having strength today and what it is and what it means and why you should care am so excited in before we do april. Just congratulations two. Hundred episodes is a big deal and i remember the beginning. I remember when you first. But do you know what i remember. It was seeing it and then having the thought. Oh my gosh. I really wanna be a guest. That would be so amazing. And then they were in the early day you ask at. It was like one of the coolest experiences i've done. Because i just felt so awesome and then here we are and i love getting to be a side kick and regular guest on with you and to senior podcast grow and evolve and become really laser focused in see this audience grow to and we have such a cool community around peak. Mind in in this concept of psychological strength. So let's get busy. Let's dive in. I love it so we do all this setup right because we talk about psych strength as though. It's a thing that everybody should understand and realistically you probably have a pretty good idea as to what it is. It's exactly what it sounds like. But there may be more detail and more facets to it and what you might not or than what you might realize so we want to go through in particular four different facets of psych strength to help you understand how important of a we'll call it skill this is in your life and how impactful it can be in so many different ways so we'll dive into these four along the way we'll talk about why they matter and give some really concrete examples so right out of the gate. We'll go with the most obvious one aflaid do that kind of on a soapbox for jag. Okay so ask a mental health professional and one the soap-boxes determine mental health I do it. I said right vad. Okay but here. Here's here's the reason why. It's a very real thing and are dedicated. Almost twenty years to improving mental health. But the issue. The reason why. I don't like it is because then we talk about mental health and physical health like they are separate things in really think that the data show the research shows your lived. Experience shows that we need to be looking at health and wellbeing as just this holistic kind of thing and i don't mean holistic like woo crystals in in whatnot. I mean whole person. Every facet of it but part of the reason why i really gravitate toward the term psychological strength is because it does draw those parallels to physical health. That people are used to thinking about. We're used to thinking about our health. And taking steps like exercising and different kinds of exercises in different goals of like cardio versus stretching versus weight trading in we talk about eating habits and sleep and all of these things to help us feel better and to really to do better in our bodies we need to in the exact same thing with our brains
The Basilisks Stare feat. Nabiyah Be & Evan Whitten
"Once upon a time there was an armourer named martin. Martin spent his days working with metal using it to create glistening swords sparkling shields and full suits of yes glittering armor and everyone agreed that of all the arms in the city. Martin was the greatest. Oh you should see. The sword mar made for me last week. It schumer's like moonlight on the water. Well you should see the shield he made for me. It glistened like the stars. I don't doubt it. The suit of armor he made for me is so shining so bright. It's reflects i chimera. Martin lived with his children natalia. And conrad in a tiny house at the edge of town. Martin's shop was in the basement talia and conrad loved traipsing down the steps to watch their father work i. He retired on his thick leather apron. Then he would heat up his medal into glow to fiery yellowish orange and grew soft and bendable after that he would use a heavy iron hammer to forge the metal into all different shapes. Then you would let the metal cool and he polished rubbing and scrubbing until indeed. It reflected like a mirror one summer morning. Martin told natalia conrad that he would be gone for the day on business. Listen you to. I need to deliver a full suit of armor to a customer who lives far off in the countryside. He turned to natalia natalia. You're the oldest. So i want you to look after your little brother. While i'm gone of course father i'd be happy to conrad rolled his eyes. Oh come on father. I don't need my older sister to babysit. I'm a big kid now. I know you're a big kid. Conrad and getting bigger every day. But for now you'll do. Your sister says hokey dokie. I have a long trip ahead of me. Need to skedaddle. Have fun today. My dears martin kissed his children goodbye and out the door as he disappeared down the street. Natalia turned to conrad with twinkling eyes. I have an idea little brother. The circus is in town. They're performing in the market square right in the middle of the city. Would you like to see it. Conrad's face broke into a grin. You bet i liked to see the circus. Let's go when natalia and conrad reached the market square. They were greeted by all sorts of enchanting sites. Agile walkers tiptoeing towering tightropes graceful acrobats swinging from flying trapezes plus nimble-fingered jugglers funny face clowns and hearted riders standing breath and tall on the backs of gleaming galloping horses during a break in the show. Natalia and conrad wandered around the square and saw vendors selling all sorts of goodies toys. Books candies but then. Hey natalia something else caught conrad's look over there. Look conrad pointed toward a jagged heap of stones in a shadowy narrow alley off the square. There's the old stone building to one worthy. Say the bacilus cliffs. Natalia felt her blood run. Cold everyone in town knew the legend of the basilisk. It was said that the bacilus kept the body of a dragon. The head of a rooster tail of a serpent down in the dink dark cellar of the old stone building. The bacilus stood guard over a magnificent treasure and if you stared into the bacilus glowing red eyes you would immediately turn to stone so sister conrad's mouth lifted into a mischievous smile. Are you thinking what i'm thinking. Natalia's is grew wide. Wait a minute brother. Your not thinking of actually going in there are you. What about the bassil. Ihsc bacilus sh- massa lisk don't be such a 'fraidy cat sys like dads said. I'm a big kid now. And i'm going to prove it

Macy's one-block Thanksgiving parade to show pre-taped performances
"The story is that Broadway shows that were shut down to the due to the pandemic will return for one day. Hamilton mean girls, jagged little pill and ain't too proud the life and times of temptations. We're going to film segments. Little air on TV as part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. There's not gonna be an audience in the streets in the years passed, but the parade is only going to cover one city block 34th Street near the flagship store, and normally it takes like 10,000 people to work the parade. But this year, it's only 1500 people. Oh, well, That's neat, though, that they're doing that for Broadway. So I guess they're gonna fill out the time by doing little segments where they're gonna have you know, Broadway show So I'm gonna tune in. I will, too. I love the parade. It's like a tradition. I watch it every Thanksgiving pit. Watch it on CBS this year. No, I gotta watch it on ABC. I'll be at the cabin. The only channel. I get nothing. She has it. Oh, really? Yeah, NBC does theirs. But I'm telling you, there's better coverage. It feels more like a parade on TV. The other one just feels like everyone If they're just touring people like stop by who's on the green carpet. Now who's on the green carpet? Now you don't get the parade. Yeah, it's just like that. You get the platform and then you see the parade a little bit in the background. So what is the difference between which one which one? No with with Macy's on the NBC parade, the NBC broadcast They all have that green rug out in front of Macy's, and it's like they bought the most so then they get this center stage. People come out and perform. But then you just see people going. There they go. There is one NBC show after another. With CBS. There there, broadcasters or more upon a purchaser than you see the parade route behind them, and they don't have a designated spot. So you're seeing more of the actual parade. Then, just looking like it's one set stage and different performers rotate through watch. CBS is one thing. Kevin Frazier.

"I appreciate that. All right? We have some Broadway news Don't way we have the Tony nominations that came out yesterday. And this is our year of You know, theater, no theater. You know what's going on with all of this. The Tony nominations this year are plays that were open. Beef on on or before February. More set musical, Jagged Little Pill was nominated for best musical. So was Moulin Rouge, the musical. That one is based on the the movie from nearly two thousands and also teen of the Tina Turner musical, which I happened to see when I was in London and is fantastic. I'm a huge Tina Turner fan. So you know, I may not be the most objective person on this, but there's only three musicals nominated this year. For best play. The nominees are Grand Horizons. The inheritance seawall, a life and slave play best revival of a play Betrayal Frankie and Johnny and declared a loon and a soldier's play. There are no nominees for best revival. Of a musical this year. It's a very, very bizarre unlisted. They don't even know when the awards are going to be given out. Normally, the Tony awards come out in June. What TV Shows Do Viewers Prefer During the Pandemic?
"And confidently stay tuned after the show to find how you can boost your next job post with their special offer for talking tech listeners. A few weeks ago, Tom Ryan who runs the Pluto TV website explained to me that the reason that his site is doing so well is 'cause they run so much old stuff people. He told me do not WANNA watch a lot of new programming on streaming. The dirty little secret is they really love catching up with old familiar favorites. Will his cinema rang true and clear to me this week when I read the new Nielsen Streaming Chart Nielsen of course is the company that's been monitoring TV viewing for years, and it's now monitoring what we watch on Netflix and Amazon and other websites and the top ten. There's only three new shows in the top ten. And they don't sound that new either. So the most watched show is called copper guy. It's a sequel to a nineteen eighty-four movie called the Karate Kid. Number two is away, which is new is about mission to Mars, and it's with Hilary. Swank number three is lucifer a Fox series about the devil in disguise, which premiered in two thousand sixteen, and it's followed by the other new show, which is called the boys, which is a superhero drama on Amazon from there all oldies but goodies the office from two thousand five. Criminal minds permitted in two, thousand and five. Grey's anatomy premiered in two thousand five. NCIS premiered in two thousand and three, and is a sequel a spin off to a TV show that premiered in nineteen ninety-five called Jag. WHO REMEMBERS THAT ONE Then, we've got shameless pretty current right that's his TV series that aired on. Showtime. Premiered in two thousand, eleven. Gerrymandering: How drawing jagged lines can impact an election
"Most people have heard the word gerrymandering once or twice probably during a presidential election. What exactly is gerrymandering essentially, it's the process of giving one political party and advantage over another political party. By Redrawn district lines. It's like Democrats trying to gain advantage over Republicans or Republicans. Trying to gain an advantage over Democrats you see each party wants to gain as many districts as possible. So they can do things like control the state budget or set themselves up to win even more districts in the future. So to understand how this process began and how it continues today, we must go back to eighteen twelve in Massachusetts Albridge Jerry the governor of Massachusetts supported and signed a bill to allow redistricting that is redrawing the boundaries that separate districts the catch, the new lines favor Jerry's political party, the democratic Republican Party which no longer exists. You see Jerry wanted his party to win as many states Senate seats as possible the more members of your party who vote the more likely you are to. Win Election the new lines were drawn to include loads of areas that would help governor Jerry in the future there were so strange looking that someone said, the new districts look like a salamander the Boston Gazette at Jerry's name to the word Salamander and Walla Gerrymandering, the process of dividing up and redrawing districts to give your political party and advantage. So how exactly does someone go about protecting their own political party and actually Gerrymandering district? There are two successful practices packing a district and cracking district. Packing is the process of drawing district lines and packing in your opponents cattle into his few districts. As possible if more districts equals more votes, the fewer the district's there are the fewer votes the opposition party will get. Packing then decreases the opponents voter strengthened influence. Cracking, is the opposite taking one district and cracking it into several pieces. This is usually done in districts where your opponent has many supporters. Cracking spreads these supporters out among many districts denying your opponent, a lot of votes. When, you have a large number of people who generally vote for one type of Party, those folks are known as the voting block cracking as a way to break that all up. So. When would a party choose to pack their opponents districts rather than crack them? Well, that really depends on what the party needs to dilute your opponents voters. You could pack them into one district and lead the surrounding districts with voters of your own party or if you and your partner in power. When it's time to redraw district lines, you could redraw districts and crack up a powerful district and spread your opponents voters out across several neighboring districts. So Governor Jerry and twelve to gain advantage for his party and redrew district lines in his state and such a crazy way. We have a whole new word and way of thinking about how political parties can gain advantages over their opponents. Politicians think of creative ways to draw districts years. So the next time an election comes around and politicians asked people to vote be sure to look up the shape of your district and the district's that surrounded.

"This is this is really difficult is the dilemma decision for me. I am not one of those people in the national media who bashes Carmelo do. I think Carmelo has had a hall of fame career from Syracuse through all of his time where he played for bad teams to his time on the Olympic teams. And I'd like to see Carmelo have go out with a good finish. But I don't know. I mean to me what happens here. What happens with Ingram Ingram, and heart and coups Ma if you have a guy who's ball dominant who needs the ball. I'm not saying these are hog with the ball. But he does need it. What happens with their development? If Carmelo comes in. I don't know that this helps the Lakers even in the short term. Here's the thing that I think is unfair for Carmelo Anthony. He could have gone to Miami. And he was promised a starting job. He went to the rockets knowing that he was coming off the bench, by the way, a month ago up in Brooklyn scored twenty eight points the next night, they went to Chicago he scored seventeen if for some reason, it's can't use them. If he's willing to go there. And I think he is to be. A backup on the bench. And here's the other thing, Mike and don't ever discount this. And you know, it LeBron James has been around a long time. Is there anything wrong with LeBron James wanting one of his buddies to pal around with over the course of its young guys on the team if Carmelo understands. Talking about I think he's willing to take that role. And I think lebrons. Lebron is not gonna do anything to jeopardize him trying to get today. Important part of this the person trying to maybe who has to go into consultation with Magic Johnson isn't some dope. Yes, look Braun who understands wants to win not gonna do anything knowingly to jeopardize that situation. So that that moves me toward saying, okay. If he can come off the bench 'cause 'cause Frank I don't want to disrupt and taking some time to build what they're building. I don't want to disrupt that I think he's willing to come off the bench, and guess what LeBron James is at a point now in his career if he wanted just do it if it's gonna make them happy at this stage. What was going to make them better? So they could it's possible Rigaud bear was Jek that less than three minutes in the Utah's game with the rockets and Salt Lake City last night yet Houston could do absolutely nothing about it in a twenty seven point loss of the jazz after being critical zebras earlier this week in Miami..

"Derrick Henry story evening winning thirty two nine last night. And that ends the titans portion of this discussion the Jaguars looked like an up and comer as recently as the first of all Tober. But now as being reported the Jags done with Blake Bortles, and it was impossible to not notice several Jaguars, including king knucklehead. Jalen ramsey. Yep. Dancing. Simple mindedly well being humiliated Tony fell for Jacksonville nonsense after they beat the patriots since September. But if foreign nine and Bortles on the way out Frank what's the Jaguars future? Now doesn't look great. And I bought in his well, if you go back to last season that road when they had a Pittsburgh so close to making the Super Bowl and Boorda's will be gone in Rapoport is reporting that but to me this about their defense and they walk around like they're the eighty five bears. Get that play less to me. That was her entire season. Derrick Henry former Heisman Trophy when you know, two nights before the Heisman is going to be given out. He was doing the Heisman. Pose all the way down view on their embarrassing, Frank. I'm totally with you. I mean, it was like it was something personal. He was literally running for his life and just shoving guy to the ground who want to be embarrassed. And then continue on with the game. They're mugging four camera. Once again once again the Jaguars play more stupidly than any team in the league. And yet they strut. It's unbelievable. But think about this for second Frank. They will have made first round quarterbacks elections is eleven and I think fourteen so or fifteen so they I mean, they have just wasted this. They're starting all over Tom Coughlin's on the hook for some of this stuff. That's happened on his watch more recently the last couple of years Frank they ought to be embarrassed. And I don't think there's smart enough to be. I'm talking about the players now, and you know what Tom Coughlin Doug Marrone. They got a lot of credit last year getting very close to make you. Yeah. They gotta take a bit of a hit. You know, you mentioned Blake Bortles think about this. My he has seventy five interceptions since two thousand fourteen Aaron Rodgers has seventy nine in fourteen years in the NFL portal's got them a win on the road in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, they need to upgrade at that position. They did starting with Jalen Ramsey. Who is a very good player, but way too much talking not performing and certainly not enough tackling yesterday out get him out Bortles and Gabbard ban. Elections defense overrated get them all out not the eighty five bears. All right, Mike with Carmelo at these career in limbo comes word that LeBron James wants to bring his good buddy to the Lakers athletic was reporting that James and his camp. And as you know, Mike, you're nobody in the NBA. If you don't have a camp, they believe that mellow can help the young and inexperienced Lakers Cornell still under contract with Houston Rockets and cannot be traded until after December fifteen all right, Michael you see Carmelo riding on the banana boat into LA and should your buddy. Magic johnson. Make this move. Frank..

"So I believe that they will Terry Bradshaw. I believe they will change coach at the end of the season. And you can look for him to be one of the top candidates in Cleveland, John Dorsey with the Green Bay background lobby's general managers in this new NFL, they go with who they trust, you know, not necessarily who they think is best who they trust Bill to make decision as far as moving forward as a team general manager and head coach moving forward at the same. So yes, I believe he is going to be dismissed from Green Bay, but I can bleed he'll be fired pride at first Monday after the season on that Tuesday or Wednesday. He could be rolling on the clean. You can be the right person to get Cleveland from a to b but that doesn't mean you're the right person to get Green Bay from Beata. See some you know, what I mean like you can be the right person for certain job where team is in trying to get into contention, but not necessarily the right person to take a team that's in contention over the top into Super Bowl favorite. I think that's plays. Mike McCarthy themselves. Absolutely. Yes. Steelers. Valid drama is behind them. They move forward as currently constructed heading Jacksonville to take on a disappointing Jaguars team. Jags are three and six, but they seem to have the Steelers number Pittsburgh seeking revenge for the two times they lost to Blake Bortles and company last season. Big bend says he isn't taking Jacksonville lightly. From front to back. They're really good really fast. A lot of teams we say starts up front with their paths rush. And this group has an unbelievable pass rush. Russia their front for their linebackers or some of the fastest you ever play against secondary. Is as good as a secondary you're gonna play. So there's really no where to start and finish with this group. They're just that good. So like, I said, this will definitely be the big challenge for us. So surprising too big losses last year to this Jaguars team. What are the Steelers have to do to avoid another loss to this team say you gotta listen to bin what he's saying?.

"But your way through all their games, the game against Green Bay to missed opportunity. They had opportunities to win. They didn't lose it, fine, art buffalo. They're looking ahead to the Rams game, but that didn't do good. 'cause the Rams beach anyway. And so he it's a good point, five and turned into eight eight and tuned to turned into thirteen and three, but the consistent force through the five zero started. A tuned to start was a dominant defense, a great defense. This Vikings defense hasn't even been averaged this year. That is. That's one of the most surprising results of the season so far that the Vikings defense has atrophied to this level the Jags last year, see member those charge. We had Jackson, Minnesota one, two, and every category, the Jags are still one too. And every category Minnesota has fallen off into the twenties in nearly every same thing with the eagles coming into the season, the two things he didn't have to worry about where the eagles defense seemingly in the Vikings defense. Same Healy, the eagles defence look vulnerable. The last two weeks, the Vikings defense get up at least twenty seven points the last three games. Are they having like what? Nixon identity crisis from both teams. This thing with the eagles at least you can identify one grouping like you can blame it. Teams don't like to, but for the eagles are secondary? Yes, the Vikings, it's been sometimes the defensive line getting gas running are not getting the pass, rush with their bass with their best pass. Rusher Imson grip. We don't know when he's going to come back to play for them. Their linebackers has. Struggled in tackling. Also in pass coverage. We saw Anthony Barr and get toasted against the Rams and their secondary Xavier Rhodes like he's a shutdown travel corner. He struggled this season. So we've seen that the eagles is isolated in their secondary last year, the secondary plate of their town. And now they are question Mark moving forward. And while the eagles defense might not be as high level as we thought it would be there still fringe top ten in most categories. And the number one rush defense which speaks to your point. See, it's really about the bad past events. Vikings are twenty second in points, twenty first in yards, twenty seven yards per play defensively. And so that is one of the reasons by the way they're throwing the ball as often as they are, and maybe they can take advantage of eagle secondary, that's underperforming. But I think the eagles will find their legs. I think Carson Wentz is going to get better as the your goes on, not get worse, and I think the eagles know who they are. They we. We took the Kirk cousins edition as an obvious upgrade because it is from case keenum to Kirk cousins. But if adding him made them change, even psychologically, how they're trying to win games, how they've been successful, they need to recalibrate that because this was a team that with teddy Bridgewater in year two when eleven and five and was in the playoffs, should've won that game. If not for blur Walsh started out the next year five and until they were ravaged by injury like this team's been good for years now also when you get a new offense coordinator, Christie Felipo sometime these guys are the next up and coming young coach. They try to be a little more promoting themselves by their play compared to Shurmur who was there lashing. They have more balance. I moved onto the main events, the world of enemy this weekend McGregor taken on Kabibi UFC two twenty nine. All right, Nick. What do you expect in this match? Man, America make your money that you're going to bet on the NFL on Sunday on. Saturday night mcgregor's dog here I don't know how he's a dog here. I understand that people are right now cooling on Conor McGregor. He should be a slight favourite in this fight. You got him plus one.

"For me is that I'm not really concerned about the Jags defense because I think this is the best they match up very well against the patriots. Offense was concerning to me is that Blake, Bortles is the quarterback and he's going against revamp highly motivated berry improved patriots defense. This is the best last week and I know is one game, but at no point time last year that I see them generate this kind of pass, rush flower onto the football like they did open open Sunday. So with that being it's hard to get any worse than giving up forty one points in the Super Bowl to Nick fall. Take out. Can you not get a little better than you want to the backup quarterback one isolated. I selected Super Bowl. Yeah, isolate it. It happens. They're picking worse time to have the worst game. Okay. I gave you that, but that's Blake Bortles. And if you look at what he did last week, skip. And I think one that game where the game at New York at in New Jersey they did. Yeah. I think Jacksonville wanted him right interested, whether becoming really know they don't have the border playmaker skip that mean you think about you throw, Blake, Bortles in the you don't give him anything to remind me somebody else. I know Janney I know a team that probably like soundly of south west of if you don't talk about remind you allow the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback, that's legitimate. He's trying to distract the audience from the problem. He's having saying that the patriots are in big trouble, Jacksonville, they're not in big trouble. Why would it be in big trouble with Tom Brady? Is it my turn? No. Okay. You have to be a quick you. Why would it be big trouble with Tom Brady coach Bela that that was the question that Ginny ask you and you you're saying they're not much really. I think it'll be close game. We're gonna pick this game later. Okay. But I think it'd be very close, very close gang close. Well, I think the New England Patriots are in huge trouble at Jacksonville. I think Jacksonville should win this game, and I believe this will be easily New England's toughest game of the year and the one game on their schedule. I think they should lose because they do play Green Bay and they do play Kansas City and they play Minnesota..

"To talk the most right and he is probably the most physically here merkley as campbell the most physically talented players on the team and so i i think he has to carry himself like that they are there are no two teams are less 15 years have a bigger dichotomy of success than the jags and the patriots no two quarterbacks that have vigor dichotomy of how their disgust dim brady him bortles so jaylen ramsey saying we're going to beat the brakes off you and then we're going to go to the super bowl win that like maybe it adds a little bit to the pats motivation but i think the jags have to to quote the man who will be named on the show speak it into existence to a degree so i understand what jail and trying to do you please don't go there no more uh jaylen ramsey is the the modern day for those recent history let's go with richard sherman unless look at seattle where they were before they got richard sherman skillset very very similar jaylen a better athlete but richard sherman kind of set a standard four corners not only on the field but off the field remember when they face new england y'all bro you man met face to face with brady so i take that pitcher of jaylen and also jaylen was a number three pick from florida state he is an extremely talented cornerback one the most talented that we've had drafted in nfl the last fifteen years arguably him an exotic bureau the minnesota those are the best they've got the best two seasons this year so who is this this guy is phenomenal talent comes from florida state oh florida state at the take you back the dion sand before atlanta falcons drafted him they have won five games and three games there were no different than jacksonville he changed at city he chains that call.
