What two hundred twenty one days or something june eighteenth of last season sale album did it to them over a year. They have a problem with routers. I notice well. They lost seven nothing yesterday along with the shin soo choo home run in delano homered and jose trevino homered. Here's aaron boone odyssey. His team have a big fat goose on the board when all is said and done always a little bit you know surprising just because our guys are so good mike minor alone in a run here there still in a bass ace hidden ron small balls. It's about yeah yesterday as all in the manager. I mean he had to make things happen. Masahiro tanaka the loss. He allowed two runs over six. Excuse not as a stuff but he did battle according to bone really close to just just giving up one run there so so gritty effort by him. He made some pitches when he needed to and and gave us a good outing through six. Here's tanaka. What was the issue. I don't think the slider was as good as i wanted to be. <hes> however i think the splitter was there tonight. For today the yankees ninety and forty nine they have james paxton and alan. I r- we do a warm up show every morning from five four five six and we talk some baseball. We did last week two now but al was back. "Have to make it seem like you were best friends because the audience doesn't care that you don't know one another i think i've been like classically trained as a play by play announcer to just believe that it's gotta come off great and it's on me if it doesn't ugh yeah right yeah. That's what i'm saying all right so you're oh you're still panic yeah. So how did each of these three different people approach it. Did you have a sense of whether to them there. They saw their their their responsibilities differently or their goals differently. It's funny you ask that because yesterday. Before the game i turn the mike o'brien and i said did i kind of feel like the goldilocks situation knowing your work knowing you a little bit like mike and heck sometimes about the socks we we got to be <hes> friends through my call at the big ten network so i turned to mike and i feel like goldilocks because walden just so ridiculously off off the grid and then mike sure it's such a huge baseball fan that i knew he wanted to do baseball and i knew he'd have opinions about everything anything and like he wanted to do well because he's always wanted to do this type of thing and then i was like mike o'brien you're kinda in the middle of comedies a little dany but you're a sox fan so i know you know baseball so i kind of feel like goldilocks situation happening year and it turned turned out that was the case like mike sure is definitely a deeper dive baseball fan you know from the parks and rec attorneys at law that are like babbitt or for its cetera et cetera like obviously huge baseball fan. Mike o'brien noted the socks really well but isn't going to tell you about like craig counsel rose managing it in terms of how often he hits in run and walden was walden so it was it was a really interesting thing thing but kind of understanding the strength of everybody was something that i thought about significantly going in and then you just do you go so whelton obviously longtime sports caster himself in a different sport but with mike and mike. How much of primer did you give them on sears. Here's how this works and here's what i'm going to talk and here's when you should talk and not talk it. Was there any kind of just crash course in calling a baseball game before. It began not not really because i didn't. I didn't want either of them to think too much like oh. I have to talk here. I have to talk there and it was funny because you know i don't. I don't think i'm blowing up by saying this but mike sure over like wanted very specific directions on how to get the stadium because he said he's could lock otherwise and and i was like okay like rules would might be a good thing but i also baseball. It's so conversational. I don't need to be calling pitches especially because this was a sanctioned weekend that people were gonna not be different like mike sure especially his watched so many baseball install games you and i talked about this a little bit by email then but like by the third inning he was telling a story and then said oh that's pretty neat little change up and then then went back into the story and i didn't even have to prompt him. It was like all of it by osmosis as deep into him and he became a baseball analyst which was outstanding and then and then michael bryant. I was like what do you need to know and he was just kind of looking at the stat pack and i turned to him like half an hour before the game and he circled like in big bowl black ink. He circled one of the stats on the pack that we get like splits and all that stuff and i turned her and i was like oh you know. What are you doing doing who like five hundred twenty one days five hundred twenty one twenty one while he goes. I don't know this is ridiculous. Why you have all this stuff. I can't read it. This is your first ever baseball game to doing this job right..

"Now chances are you're falling into some traps when you look at these fairs joined by Katie hill for marketwatch on the KRLD Newsline. She has an article about four of these traps. Hey, katie. This feels like a game. Now, though, doesn't it? It's the great fair. Chase. Yeah. Well, everybody wants a cheaper fare. And we, you know, people getting giving out forty five dollar fares on south west that was the latest one where everybody's looking so. Yeah, you're right. It's a fair chase. And of course, then the fares change multiple times every single day. What kinds of traps are we getting into tell me the first one the number one? We is always cheaper to have a layover. That's really no longer true. And in fact in about for about three flights. It's not cheap. So look for direct even if they got the crazy thing, and it's going to be so much more expensive. It's not always cheaper to have a layover anymore. And of course, some of the other things dealing with that same areas. People tend to not look for other airports that might be near them where they are going to be taking off or landing. Right. And even though it may be a small airport. You might be able to get a deal out of that airport. Even though it is a small airport. So it is certainly worth looking for that we always hear that Tuesday's of the perfect day to book your deals. It is the biggest myth that. I just wanna blow up right now. Tuesday is not the way to score deal done. You can't get a deal on Tuesday. But you pretty much is good at any day of the week at getting a deal these days because those computer log where the smart, and they they changed prices all the time. So look every day of the week for deal. And of course, the you get deals when you have the longest amount of time that you can decide that this is the time to book at so if you're booking like, three months out, right? Well, the sweet spot for booking flight. At least a flights is twenty one to one hundred twenty one before departure. If you go to long, you know, you're looking, you know, eleven months out, you're not gonna get this. Great deal probably looking at crime booking with twenty one to one hundred twenty one days before departure when you're looking at fares like these and you're trying to basically nickel and dime. The fares because they truly can go fifty dollars other either side. Are we really worrying too much about that nickel and diming at this point? I mean, look, maybe ten dollars doesn't really matter. But if you're thinking, oh, if gonna waited 'til get a last minute deal on a flight, guess what? Usually those last minute thing when you're there that. All cost average is up one hundred dollars or so, you know, I mean, yeah. As your maybe ten dollars isn't really worth it. But I guess that fair alerts on something like Google slides or kayak, and we wouldn't affair gets to where you want. It. They'll send you an alert is pretty easy hoppers, also good. I love hopper, and they they can tell you win the best time to fly. Let's say you say oh vacation to Hawaii going hopper. Oh, well, this is one about you could probably gonna get deals on flights to Hawaii. So I'll I'll try to pay my trip around there, Katie hill for lots..

"Okay. As we raise money these past couple of days Amey hanham is here, and you have been witness to some of the wonderful work that is done by children's hospital. Haven't you? Absolutely. My son Bennett Hanuman was born in February of two thousand twelve and when he was five months old something was very wrong with him. And so his pediatrician told us we needed to come here immediately to the ER. And so that was in August of two thousand twelve and when we did we found out that he was really sick. And it was a huge shock and a huge surprise star family. They were able to quickly do some tests and find out that he didn't have leukemia. With anemia being the number one thing that brought him here. But the doctors were able to quickly be able to rule that out which oddly. It sounds crazy to say you're glad your kid didn't had leukaemia. Yeah. That he was quickly. Discover to be kind of a mystery. And so we spent several months with him needing a blood transfusion every two weeks, not only was he anemic. But in those initial tests, we found out that all of his blood cells were not working the way they were supposed to so he had no infection fighting germs and thankfully in those five months that he had been alive. He hadn't gotten sick for us to find that out. He was also. Have low platelets which meant that he didn't have any clotting factor. So we were just quickly aware that he was a miracle child from that that very first day that we were here all kinds of things, and I can imagine the doctors will come founded AMIS immediately thinking leukemia immediately thinking some sort of anemia, maybe leading into him a of some sort. Absolutely. It was quickly apparent that? He had a blood disorder of some kind doctors in October of that year decided to send off and get some help from some other other people too. So we did some genetic testing and just before Christmas of two thousand twelve we discovered he had an extremely rare might have Conrail disease called Pearson syndrome right now doctors estimate that there are less than one hundred children in the world living with that rare disease. And so being here every week quickly became our life. So we worked a lot in the hematology oncology clinic. Jimmy Everest upstairs. He avoided the hospital a lot for the first step. Years, but that bone marrow as we call it all of that the cells in your blood never really recovered their kiddos with Pearson syndrome for whom that does recover, but forbidden it it didn't happen. And in fact, just with after he turned two and a half. He developed a secondary diagnosis that was a pre leukemia. Oh, so those blood cells for him. We're just not ever going to recover. So along the way he also got a crazy infection in his foot. My next thing infection was just everywhere. Absolutely. And we did I mean by protecting him and keeping it home. He had a private sitter in our home because he couldn't be in a daycare situation. So he lived every day the fullest. He had the brightest smile on his face. Lots to come to camps and have biscuits and gravy anytime. I've had to come to the doctor love Cheetos left, pretzels. Left to be outside to swing in fats after one hundred twenty one days in the hospital to have had a bone marrow transplant. He would open up the blinds. No matter what time it was if he could look outside and just say, it's a nice day out there, mama. So children's became his second home his friends. He loved the doctors he loved the crew who delivered his meals he loved the people who brought his medicine, he especially loved the people who cleaned the floors, and they're cleaning machines. Well, Amy, and the story isn't a happy one. But the good news is is that the doctors here are still working on some sort.

"Man gino concerns about air quality and according to a recent report pittsburgh has a health risk where one hundred twenty one days in two thousand sixteen the air wasn't cleaned we were dealing with dirty air is about one out of every three but here's what's really interesting is that i look outside the window i go and i live in the same air that all the rest of you do and then i look at references back to our past when steele was booming and the smoke was everywhere and i blush i'm thinking well you know we have pretty clean air how do we not and we get more details about this actually deamer is joining us western pennsylvania director for penn environment actually welcome the kkk radio good to have you thank you so much for having me so for people like me who are looking at the air quality that we seem to have outside and can remember back to when it was a whole lot worse than it is now why should we not be happy with what we have at this point so a lot of people feel that way right we look out the window and we don't see on everything we don't have to change our shirt collars at lunch anymore but in fact a lot of the pollutants in our air or now invisible we have very fine particles upset that we can't necessarily see but they are finding us to make their way deep endure lungs and endure bloodstream and can have some really profound health impact what is the primary source or is there one or two primary sources of these pollutants there is yeah so we see a lot of pollutants from mobile sources like cars and trucks even buses and then we also see a lot of our pollutants in pittsburgh coming from industrial source polluter so of my included the claritin cokeworks or the makaay twirly foundry and lawrenceville and other facilities is there any reason to believe let's start with the industrial side of things that there are facilities that are putting out pollutants veteran access of what is permitted by state and federal authorities yeah absolutely so we have the clean air act at the federal level and that you know set standards for the amount of pollutants that can be put into our air and our allegany county health department at the local level is an entire judge of enforcing that law so they issue permits keep it facilities that defines exactly how much pollution or allowed to put out and then there are also in charge of enforcing that so when a facility goes beyond what they're allowed to admit there should be an enforcement action and a fine in a plan to clean up the plant we know that the allegheny county health department is actually behind on their permitting process so we have a number of plants that are operating without operator permits so they're not you know being held to a standard for their pollution and we also know that often when these facilities are violating their permits we don't see enforcement action or we see very weak enforcement action so you know we might see a fine that is not really in line at the environmental and health impacts that pollution had on the community surrounding the plant and we might see you know lax standards in terms of cleaning up the problem and and getting the real source of it what about concerns regarding facilities that are i can't remember what the proper whether it's down winter evelyn but when we are actually experiencing the air that was produce west south of us that's coming into this community how much of it is something that we're dealing with when it's like that as compared to what we produce ourselves yeah absolutely are topography are hills are river valleys really such a you know a unique situation where the that the air pollution often travels with the rivers right so we got air pollution from the mon valley places places like the claritin poke works in irvine works and you know a set of monitors across that area can actually show the pollution traveling from claritin all the way to squirrel hill and we've heard a lot recently about the smell in squirrel hill that's actually coming from the mon valley so it does travel and it does you know stay in the region and often we have weather and temperature inversions where the pollution rather than dispersing into that this year stays at ground level where we're breathing in and increases in.

"After judge has said that this is a muslim ban that violates the constitution they're dead wrong well i mean you're right that but they're the ones who were wrong remember the seven now six countries these were the same countries identified by the obama administration that we should be cautious about and backed up by the united states congress so that's where those seven countries came from the fact is that in those countries we have very little ability to actually verify vet the the people that are coming out of those countries so with the president and it's not a travel ban remember to travel pause with the president said for ninety days we were going to a pause in terms of people from those countries coming united states that would give me time to look at the additional vetting okay i want to say on that and while you're even talking about the travel ban because i to put some numbers on take a look at this the first executive order that was issued on january twenty seven banned citizens from seven nations from entering the us for ninety days suspended the refugee program for one hundred twenty days as you say applause while you set up an extreme vetting program it's now been one hundred twenty one days since that first order so why don't you have the extreme vetting program implies we're actually implementing it one of the the arne here's had it stood we would have had the ninety days to study we're not even studying what would be uh procedures because we're were enjoying did can't do that in the meantime we are even study now at extreme vetting we're we're we're the darren here again as we can't study it but i'm but i'm just guessing in implementing but we are going to fly implement ways to determine who this individual is and remember most of these countries have no passports they have no police they have no intelligence many of the countries in question don't even have a us embassy there to help us vet the un we'll tell you it's almost impossible to vet these people from these countries because there are no passports and all the rest what we have to figure out a way to determine who they are and why they come into the united states otherwise we're guessing and this president and john kelly doesn't wanna guess when it comes to national security and the protection of the us population secretary kelly thank.
