And they think I want to live there, and they're willing to pay anything for it. So you just price it really high and you have it for sale all the time. There's maybe it's a Russian oligarch. "1934, the Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler banned Jews from joining the German military, just one of many forms of discrimination and persecution that began as soon as he'd seize power. Now nearly 90 years on, the modern German army has just appointed its first rabbi Shalt Bala will offer pastoral care to the forces 300 Jewish members, but it also be working to try to root out anti Semitism in the ranks have been a number of scandals recently exposing neo Nazi networks within army units. And more widely, anti Semitism in Germany, as elsewhere is on the rise. I've been speaking to rabbi ballot on the line from Leipzig about his appointment. This is a very, very important sign and very important statement, I believe, and I think that the statement is not towards the present. But much more to the future. I really believe that Disappointment will slowly paved a way that just like in other NATO countries, like the United States, like the United Kingdom, like the Netherlands, it's a normalcy to have Jewish soldiers live their faith serving in the army. This will also be a normal seen Germany. Obviously, there are always soldiers in the German army. But still there are a lot of resentments of the pests. Our goal is to work on this to create a Better future and what will you be doing? What will your role involved? My role will mainly have three areas. One of them is obviously the chaplaincy for all the Jewish soldiers second In the German army. All the chaplains are therefore every single soldier that turns to you That means if an Andreas soldier comes to me, I'm still responsible for all of them, especially if we are on the tour or somewhere outside the country. And there's a third area which is really, really important. And this is a political and ethical education of the soldiers. You might know that when Germany in 1935 reestablished The German army at one of the major points was to make sure that this army will never ever in the future will be misused. And for that they instituted a lot of ethical learning the rabbis and whoever will be in charge of the Jewish military chaplains in the future. Will have to take a big role in educating the soldiers to try to combat to any kind of right extremism and anti Semitism. Yes, and that's something important. I wanted to ask you about how much of a problem do you think that right wing extremism in the German military is at the moment? I mean, the intelligence agency said what last year about 600 soldiers that identified suspected of Right wing extremism. How rife is it? Do you think I really believe that this is an issue, But I think it would be very shortsighted to say that this to the German issue, I think, especially if you take a look at the tendencies of the past months, where were anti Semitic attacks, not just in Germany, but in the United States in England, anti Semitism Is on the rise, determined intelligence. I think just more ready to actually admit that we have a problem. I think this problem of right extremism and anti Semitism. We have to look at it with a global Perspective, and we have to do something against it. I think obviously, my role has an important part in there. And I think all future Jewish military childless here in Germany have a very important role to play. Do see anti Semitism on the rise in Germany anyway. I mean, there is what one Statistics suggesting that anti Semitic crimes rose by 15% last year. Is that something that you've notices? It's something you've experienced. I do. I do experience it. But again, I just want to tell you again. I experience that not just in Germany, but mostly all over Europe. Wherever I go. This is really the case. I do feel this on my own skin. Even though I think because of the fact that I'm visibly Jewish. I have been definitely less exposed to anti Semitism because I think most of the anti Semitic things happen in the latent fashion. I mean, do you worry that now, especially with all the attention around you this week that you are doing your job, you may become the victim of I mean, even if it's just sort of anti Semitic. Language or people making comments to you behind behind your back. I mean, do you think that's gonna be a problem? I think unfortunately, today in the day and age of social media, this is a problem for everybody. No matter what you do at the moment, you become visible. You are a subject to possible negative comments and negative feelings. But I have to cope with that. And the reason I have to cope with it, because I really believe that this task might help us coming closer to to a better society and a better situation. This is really my only hope. One thing I did want to ask you about. I mean people listening to this. It might be a question on their minds why Jewish people might want to become Soldiers and joined the German army joined the German military. I mean, talking to your congregation in the military. What do they, Sam? It just seems a strange choice. Given the history Times. Are changing. I think this paradigm also has to change, especially because we do see that today, Germany fights on the right side of history. I really believe that Germany is currently one of the really few countries in Europe that actually faced its past I myself was born and raised in Hungary. Up until today. I believe that much of European society Did not really face the fact we see that such tendencies and Poland, Lithuania, where the legislation is forbidding, actually, people to admit that they were also part Of the four of all the persecutions against Jewish citizens of their own countries as my great aunt of blessed memory, she told me always said when she was deported to Auschwitz. She has never heard a German award until she got to the camp and facing that past is a key element. We have a historical weight on our shoulders, but I really believe that we have to work on it to learn from the past and make sure not to make the mistakes of the past at the same time, move forward and not to let ourselves be paralyzed by the best. Rabbi Schultz Bala speaking to me from like lipstick this week, appointed as the German military set first, Rabbi. Don't forget if you want to follow us on social media. I turned fifteen in april of two thousand one. Ooh i'd like half to try and stop nine eleven now. I got bummed out as calm. I have to deal with nine. Eleven if i drive magic time travel brain stuff so we can talk more about the general question of if we want to but specifically the nine eleven party and i realized that i was fifteen in early two thousand gallon. If it was a sci fi story about time travel. That's what would happen. I mean there's yen stories like that where it's like. I remember one. It was like a twilight zone or outer limits episode or something where somebody went back in time and did the famous jain like killed. Hitler as always been like fucked up to me. Yeah i know. It's baby hitler but you still got a baby baby. Yeah on this show. They literally murdered a baby and what happened was in the twilight zone episode. Whatever the show was episode. Hitler had like a nanny baby. Hitler had a nanny and dana. Hitler that sounds like a immediately baby shark killed by. Hitler bounced the nanny replaced. Baby hitler with some other baby like a hobo baby or like an orphanage baby. Yeah and then. Maybe the new baby. Hitler grew up to be regular hitler. "And it seemingly came true. Several of nostradamus quad trains. Apparently reference adolf hitler's rise in one thousand nine hundred eighty s germany. They specifically mentioned quote a young child born from the depths of western europe. Who will seduce a great troop some of his verses explicitly referenced. The rhine one of germany's largest rivers in one nostradamus wrote quotes. The greater part of the battlefield will be against his sister. Some believe that this is actually a typo in nostradamus. Meant to write hitler. They point to this. As proof that the sixteenth century sear knew who would spark the war in reality. History was an old name for another river in germany the danube. It's far more likely that nostradamus was referencing. This river rather than germany's leader but the combination of the rhine and the danube is important for another reason. These waterways were the border of the ancient roman empire. The measurer surmised biblical mansi lead nostra dumbest to the history of rome's frontier. There are dozens of books. Document the violent border disputes between the germanic people in the roman legions. Julius caesar famously built a bridge over the rhine in a matter of days he led his army over. It raided the upstart tribes and burned the bridge. It proved to the early. Germans that roams reach knew no bounds. So nostradamus may not have known about hitler specifically but he did believe the new demagogue would rally germany than spark a with the rest of europe and history proved him right except europe was constantly plagued by violence and war. Of course something was bound to go down here again since squadrons were so big it was easy to link them to world war two. That's a good point and we know that. Most of nostradamus prophecies were undated meaning. They could happen at any time. So the measure turned to the few prophecies that did have dates. The predictions nostradamus made in his eleven annual almanacs. These were light easier to identify as true or false mainly because they were associated with the events of specific years they predicted things like famines and plagues that could be compared to a historical record and in his book. Unknown nostradamus la- measurer found surprisingly that only five point seven three percent of nostra. Dallas's mrs predictions actually came true. It could be that those events didn't happen because nostradamus predicted them. If farmers read that there would be a famine. They might have planted more crops. The existence of the prophecy essentially prevented the event described. It was a paradox. Well there are some disastrous events that nostradamus seemed to predict accurately but they weren't decoded until it was way too late like his prophecies about the nine eleven terrorist attacks and the covid nineteen pandemic one nostradamus quad train. Apparently read quote to steal. Birds will fall from the sky on the metropolis. The sky will burn at forty five degrees latitude. Fire approaches the great new city. Many felt the to steal birds referenced. The two planes that hit the twin towers and they caused the fire to spread in the great new city of new york. This prophecy circulated widely online in the wake of the nine eleven attacks. The problem is that this quatrieme train simply doesn't exist police. Not in that order. This verse takes lines from several different quad trains and makes up some of its own meaning. Someone edited them to make. It seem like nostradamus. Had predicted nine eleven. Although in two thousand twenty social media posts credited nostra donnas with predicting yet another massive tragedy the covid nineteen pandemic. the prophecy said quote..

"To identify readers of one particular USA. Today's story in USA Today is fighting them on this, and I'm on the side of USA Today, although I'd like to know what they're up to. The publisher of USA Today is fighting a very unusual subpoena from the FBI seeking information that could identify the readers of a story about a short shooting in Florida earlier this year. Wow. The subpoenas served on Gannett, who owns the newspaper in April. Orders USA Today to turn over Internet addresses and cellphone information for people who read the story online during a 35 minute window on February 2nd. See that Trump is the new Hitler. Oh, That's right. He's out of office. Never mind the story about a shooting that killed two FBI agents and wounded three others. You probably remember that story, uh, gunfire. They were serving a warrant, child pornography. You remember that story? Oh, yeah. And he shot a couple agents and everything like awful. Yeah, well, they want to know. Well, the subpoena says, quote. It relates to a federal criminal investigation but does not explain the nature of the investigation or why the FBI wants to identify the readers and wants their cell phone numbers and I P addresses. Judy Batalion on her new book The Light of Days

"Judy battalion is a writer comedian. And the granddaughter of holocaust survivors her new book and soon to be screenplay is called the light of days. It's about women resistance. Fighters in hitler's ghettos they were oftentimes hidden underground for long periods of time and could only come out at night and they craved. They crave food. They craved drink and they crave the light of day. The stories of the women. Judy writes about in the light of days had nearly been forgotten so much so that when she first discovered them she thought she had made a mistake. Judy was born in montreal but was living in london. When she was researching the world war two heroine and martyr khanna sanish buried deep in the stacks of the british library. She found an unusual book. It's an old book. It's you know in this blue fabric cover with gold lettering and the yellowing deck alleges a i opened the book and it is about two hundred pages of tiny script in yiddish. What even more unusual is i happen to speak yiddish. So i start flipping through this book. Looking for hana sanish. But she's only in the last ten pages and in front of her. There are one hundred eight hundred ninety pages of other women stories with pictures and snippets and bios of other female fighters and the chapter titles are like ammunition owed to weapons it. The fight in vilna and i should say the title of the book was flowing into ghettos women in the ghettos but this was a very different ghetto story than i had ever expected or anticipated

The Hitler Haggadah with Jonnie Schnytzer

"Joined today by johnny schnitzer to talk about the hitler. Haga a nineteen forty-three judeo arabic haggadah. Which tells the story of the holocaust the second world war and the allied landing in north africa through the passover seder. Johnny schnitzer is a phd candidate at bar. Ilan university with a focus on medieval kabbalah. His dissertation is focused on the fourteenth century. Kabul list rabbi. Joseph ben shallow ashkenazi and johnny is also preparing a critical edition of ashkenazis. Commentary on sefer itsy raw. Johnny also edited an english edition of the etc. Which we're going to be talking about today. The hitler etc is such a fascinating text in many ways even just the title is jarring. And you might think how can you use. Hitler's name in the title of this traditional jewish text and it draws you in to a tremendous piece of moroccan jewish history that reworked the traditional passover story to tell us about the experience of north african jews in the holocaust. I hope you enjoyed our conversation. Where we're going to dive into this text and think about how it can broaden our understanding of the holocaust to include the middle east and north africa in that story and also where we think through the important relationship between jewish roots and holidays with history and historical memory. Thanks for tuning in high johnny. Welcome to the podcast. Thanks so much for joining us to talk about your book that you added. Thank you for inviting me. Lovely to be here. Absolute think this is such a fascinating text. Can you maybe tell us a little bit about it in other words like what is it that makes this different from all other hug adults. I think there are sort of two bombs that this text drops upon any re- debt guest that sort of feast there is on the hit laga and the first one of course is the title and this is what got me interested in this from the outset and that is this sort of sporadic this who has the chutzpah to do this at taking a jewish texts calling it the hit laga. That's the sort of bomb number one. Because you're not even sure what this is about. Who wrote this. But you know one thing you know that the author who is anonymous and we'll touch upon them in a moment takes to keywords. That every juneau's today every jew does not need to google almost haggadah writer passover passover eve where we read the haggadah we all come and we eat together and he takes haggadah and he connects to the other. Keyword that we all know about for a very separate horrific connotation. That's hitler and he puts it together. The first bomb is who has the chutzpah to perpetrate a text. And give it the title. Hit laga taking one of the most sacred texts and connecting it to one of the biggest mom's area if you like in jewish history and then you open the text and you realize that author has done something absolutely fascinating he is done with. The sages have asked us to do generation after generation and that is to see ourselves as if we left egypt red. It's to reenact. Redemptions to reenact. God saving the jewish people taking us out. And what does he do. He takes the structure of the storytelling bit of the haggadah. Right on passover. Eve we have the ceremony we have the blessings and then we reached the mortgage section the mugged section to section where we meant to mcgee. We meant to tell the story. That's what is about right. We tell story we tell the story of redemption. This also explains why passovers become right. This trend of everyone bringing own hug dot. Everyone bringing their own stories. Because it's all about bringing together different pieces of the puzzle. Creating this beautifully rich mosaic. So he takes the traditional structure of the haggadah which tells us about how we were taken out of egypt and it tells us about these different characters. Rabbinic figures leaving two thousand years ago. The told us to do this and told us to do that. And he takes out the content and fills it with a new content whereby he tells the story of the holocaust of world war two of the allied victory of the ex pows over nazi germany. And hitler and mussolini's italy he tells us the story of his generation rights yossi who has something to tell us in the traditional said. There's something about how. How would you meant to do something. All of a sudden becomes the speech of the dictator iosif stalin when we told them the haggadah that i god and not an angel. Not anyone else is going to take you. The jewish people out of egypt suddenly becomes. I shall the goal. I not level not the right none of none of the other vichy high commanding general's. I shall the goal which already tells us right. This is what's fascinating in the hitler etc and this is the second bomb if the first bomb is the title. We still don't know what it's about. The second bomb is when you discover that this was written by an anonymous jew living in robots morocco probably towards the end of nineteen forty-three as a result possibly inspired by operation torch. The allied operation led by the us on the shores of casablanca and algiers. And everything changes all of a sudden this jew living in morocco. Who's lived under a regime whether anti jewish laws jews around him have lost their jobs. Jews around you can't get a jewish education you become by night a second-grade citizen and so out author. It almost seems as if he's taking a text which it's time to write it when we don't yet know the ending. He doesn't yet know about the horrific six million who are being murdered. He doesn't know about concentration camps in poland. But he knows he wants to do something horrific any also is living in a time where his life has changed for some years and as a result of the allied victory he suddenly possibly is inspired and sees. I get the exodus. The story i meant to be telling i meant to take the passover haggadah until the story that i see and that's how the allies beat the excess power. And how in fact you know retelling the story of exodus mine new-fangled version. I think that the text itself is amazing in the ways in which it on. The one hand utilizes the story of passover very explicitly very specifically in when he talks. About how hitler. Enslaved the jews but also like you mentioned the way in which some of the characteristic aspects of the traditional aspects are transfigured and transformed new. Whether we're talking about the parable of the four sons the for children or the different rabbis plagues. What are some of the really interesting things that are happening in this text that really are utilizing the passover story itself and also the the characteristic aspects of the passover seder that people who read attritional seder would be familiar with but they give it new meaning in this context. If we take right this this idea of the four sons four daughters any jewish figure that we look at it and we want to understand. What is it the sort of a heart of their teachings you know. One of the tricks is to see if they wrote a commentary on the haggadah. What do they do with these. Four boys of for doors. What do they symbolize. And in the case of the hit da it takes us back in time to a sort of moroccan viewpoint of the the north african campaign. And so who is the wise son now. You know it's going to be an allied power. But you're not sure that england or is it america and you'll told the the wise son is england right. The royal air force acts cleverly. He's clearly impressed he he is probably the razzie stance radio. He knows about the bombings. He knows about montgomery and then we move onto the russia. The russia we know can only be one person. That's clearly hitler. Hitler the evil one. He knows that he's a know he. He's torturing the jewish people and yet it's interesting that if you read through the at that we're not quite sure what's going on in europe right off a thinks that there is a concentration camp in berlin so we're not yet show what's going on in the world and our author doesn't yet. Nobody knows that he clearly is evil that he's plotting against the jews there wearing yellow badges which also is interesting. Because we're not sure. If he's referring to the yellow badges of jews in europe or the yellow badges of jews in certain places in north africa and then who is the tam. The time is interesting. Because tom can both mean in hebrew complete simpleton the thomas america and then shane no. You're dillashaw and who doesn't know how to ask questions. The classic version says the fourth son is the son who doesn't know how to ask questions. The newfangled version is and mussalini. Who isn't with the avowed woods and this is very interesting because when i was speaking to holocaust survivors. Oh you know this. Sort of all degeneration and i spoke to people from algeria from tunisia morocco across the board there was a nickname from cellini mar. He was the donkey he was the s. This resonates with this passage whims lead author decides to change it. And say it's not. He doesn't ask question it's that we don't even wanna talk about

The Formation of the Nazi Party

"When the nazi party was founded in one thousand nine hundred twenty the world side of germany was increasingly moving toward socialism and communism only three years before the imperial romanov dynasty had of russia had been overthrown i by the provisional government and then by the bolshevik party which was led by vladimir lenin these events would pave the way for the creation of the soviet union in one thousand nine hundred twenty two so a little bit of that bonus little bit of the soviet union in this episode throughout the early nineteen twenties the ideologies of the soviet union slowly spread across the region including its neighbouring mongolia. Communism was also becoming quite popular in the european continent with a number of uprisings in germany. One of them managed to form the bavarian soviet republic in one thousand nine hundred nineteen although this was short lived. Thanks to the country's parliamentary forces. This was the climate that the nazi party found itself in when it was created only year after the bavarian soviet republic was decimated it initially targeted the german working class attempting to draw them away from communism and socialism towards antisemitic and anti marxist

My camera. haphazardly. Joking my mom. Read that for me sounded sounded out more do. I don't like reading the newspaper because first of all hard also they never wrap up a story on the front page. I want to be learner of things. You want me to know what's going on. You put a picture of it on the front page readings heart you ever tried and my i read good good but i hate when you're trying to read something you come across the expression one thing led to another what in the hell kinda lazy writing is at. Isn't that your job as the writer to tell me how this led to that you can just throw that in there. Adolf hitler was rejected as a young man. His application to art school one thing led to another and the united states dropped two atomic bombs on the sovereign nation of japan. It's hard to read. I hate when a sentence drags on because my brain can handle a long sentence. The corporation had originally decided that a restructuring of its charter should be preceded by a preliminary. What in the hell is going. Okay here we go. The corporation okay. The corporation put smokestacks on that had originally okay. This thing had before when a move that to the past. And that's a time line smokestacks. They're not even here yet. That's a common. The corporation had originally decided. We are pulling people in the window making decision. I read in the library. What are you doing fine. Reid wasn't. I'm trying to learn how to read better. You know. I took a speed reading. Germany Expected To Put Right-Wing AfD Under Surveillance For Violating Constitution

"Now where the government is expected to put the country's largest right wing opposition party under surveillance. This means several dozen politicians in Germany's parliament may soon be monitored for racist and other unconstitutional behaviors that threatened Germany's political system. NPR's Rob Schmitz reports in German. It's called the For fasting shits. If you translate the name literally, it's called agency for the protection of the Constitution. Melania Moniz Berlin bureau chief of the German newsmagazine Der Spiegel, She says the fall fashion shoots is on the lookout for potential threats to Germany's democratic constitutional system. This agency has the power and not only to do surveillance on fringe groups, domestic terrorists threats, but also to keep an eye on any Political institution like a political party. The driving force behind the creation of the agency and its surveillance powers were the American led allied forces who after World War two helped write a new German constitution with an eye towards preventing the return of Nazi ideology. That's why the very first article of the Constitution guarantees the right to human dignity. And now the fall fashion shoots is on the verge of making an unprecedented move, placing Germany's largest right wing opposition party, the alternative fur Deutschland, or a F D. Under surveillance for violating that very article of the Constitution. This comes nearly a year after a far right faction of the F D, known as their flu eagle was put under surveillance by the for fashion shoots for the same reasons. A man who has written a book about the FD says In its report, The agency provided examples of politicians denigrating Muslim migrants to Germany, for example, they were all treated as potential terrorists. They were the humanized the speeches they were compared to animals. A hefty politicians also trivialized Germany's Nazi past. You know it. Because I'm sick of flip of age. Speaking at an FD event in 2017, the leader of the feudal faction beyond Hecker, called the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin. A monument of shame, I believe a finder. It was a year later, a FD parliamentary leader Alexander Gallant, like in Germany's Nazi era to a speck of bird droppings, and more than 1000 years of what he called successful German history. Women. I'm sure really, I ft off wonders of all off. If you look at how the FDA has been behaving for some time Now it's clear. It's acting against our democracy and our constitution. Social Democrat parliamentarian Thomas Hitler is a member of the committee that keeps checks on Germany's intelligence agencies. He says. The for fashion shoots has spent two years gathering evidence that'll inform their decision to put the FT under watch but FT politician New York that Starsky says the agency is run by Angela Merkel's government staffed with members of her CDU party. He says the CTU is worried about how fast the FDA has become a presence in Germany's parliament. The party now has 88 members in the Bundestag. If you have no opposition party, which is very successful within very short time, and we become a danger for the ruling party's, especially for the conservative CTU, and this is the reason by they are trying to stigmatize us. Really to put us in the Nancy corner and also to spread wrong rumors. But Social Democrat Hitler says the process is not political, and its findings must withstand legal scrutiny. You got Bestwick states. There are 50, often under different conditions, Wife reported decision must be so watertight legally that it will stand up in the courts. The FT have legal recourse to contest the decision. And the agency isn't about to lose face in court with the poor case. A hefty politician Hans Meyer, already under surveillance for being part of the far right, Floegel Wing, told NPR by email. He's worried that civil servants like police officers will cancel their membership out of fear of losing their jobs. Well the for fashion shoots is able to tap phones and use informants to gather information on whomever it monitors. Meyer says he hasn't noticed the surveillance whenever Germany announces its decision. The FDA is expected to file lawsuit challenging it and that may take years to resolve. Rob

"Was hit at this stage of his life. Heard I've heard to speak admiringly of Jewish people at this point in Vienna and the early years in Vienna He. He admitted later that he he wasn't he wasn't in wasn't in fact anti Semitic because he didn't give them out of that much thought he saw this small groups of overdose. Jews walking to the synagogue thought it strange. Who WITH A? He didn't really have great historical knowledge. I mean he didn't really understand why there seems to be a preponderance Jewish people in Vienna and there are certainly were compete with other cities. Because you have a large numbers of Jews fleeing the RUSSIAN POGROMS. Early nineteen th. There was a more tolerant at government to regime in Vienna in the late nineties interested said regime in Vienna and in the early twentieth century multiple. Relatively more torrential the mayor of Vienna was a rabid anti Semite. But Hitler at this point saw them as sort of curiosity. The malevolent came later but at this moment he was he was he. Bundle them up with all those that he deemed to be. Lesser People Lesser Races. He believed in the Pan German future of of Austria. And these people just didn't feed into that future. He said he had to leave Vienna for the city of Munich because he was disgusted by this racial mix of Jews Slavs with the German Austrians at the time is that true. Is that why he left Vietnam now? He was a deserter. He was fleeing the Austrian police. He was a deserter absolutely he. He was called up for the Austrian army because there was a war coming and he was called up for National Service and and he decided no. I'm not going to join the Australian army so he was a very unusual dessert. It wasn't that he was against war. He was a pacifist. Anything he wanted to fight with Joe Manami which is why he went to Munich. If it was to be a war and war was on the rise and if he was gonNA fight he was going to fight in the German colors in the German uniform. Is that we fled Austria and they tracked him down to Munich with the Australian Already dragged back to Salzburg where he set before a tribunal and again lied quite brilliantly through the hearing saying well look. I'm devoted to fighting and I'm I'm sorry I had long letter. To the tribunal's actually quite persuasive. And he got him off because they thought his young man who does want to do his duty but he's just a bit way within a bit lost because when it came to the crunch he didn't pass his medical because he'd be living on the streets for so long or in the Dos House that he was too unhealthy to join Yoshinami so then they let him go and he went back to Munich. So this is the Shining Knight on the houses it. There's this famous photo of a huge crowd in Munich when war has been declared in nineteen. Fourteen it's creepy. Because they're in the crowd you can see Adolf Hitler amongst the crowd of thousands of people in Munich and the look on. His face is even from a distance is clearly ecstatic. So in Hitler lighter in my comfort he was ecstatic at the break of where I think we have to believe him. Definitely it was absolutely in love with the idea of the war of soldiering. He always talked passionately about the love of the army if his regiment was a second home to him off to be living rough for so long here was his into the bosom of the German Army. He was going to fight for Germany the Greater Reich. So he was sent into France and if I could just say on the way he passed through Belgium and he saw the ravages of the German occupation. Which is absolutely brutal ages oppressed the people they rounded up onslaught Belgian villages and Hitler approved this. He saw in the journal evasion of Belgium. A method of suppressing civilians and occupying a foreign country and he approves entirely of the laws of going out that if a village resisted you round them up and shoot them is what the Germans did in Belgium. So that's where he first sees that as this whole idea that you suppress a conquered people by rounding up and shooting overseas. We know played itself out with brutal consequences in France. Twenty five years later this was happening in Belgium. It was explicit order that if a Belgian village fires on you round them up but the women and children in prison and shoot most of the men as an example to the others so then his battalion goes forward into E. Now he wrote about this. Hitler wrote about this battle and it turns out. He's able to rod quite vividly about this time. Could you just you just read what Hitler said? Throughout his first experience of the heat shock and noise and blood and death of battle places I e in nineteen fourteen when thousands of young Germans were slaughtered under British machine gun and rifle fire and he was participating in the early stages that and then he writes quite eloquently about Iran and when the day began to emerge from the mists suddenly an iron greeting came whizzing at us over our heads and with a sharp reports the little pellets flying between our ranks ripping up the wet ground but even before the little clouded past from two hundred throats the first Harare rose to meet the first messenger of death then mccracken roaring a singing in a howling began and with leverage is each of us was drawn forward faster and faster until suddenly pas turnip fields and hedges. The fight began the fight of man against man and from the distance. The strains of song reached our ears coming closer and closer leaping from company to company and just as death plunged a busy hand into our ranks. The song richest too and we passed it along. Deutschland Deutschland Obama's allies in developed. It's astonishing writing this phrases in there. Like death plunged busy hand into our ranks. That's that's amazing but can any of this be true. No not as far as Hitler was concerned. It was true for other soldiers who are in the front ranks. Hitler was not in the front lines is regiment was a very poorly trained reserve battalion. Which went in off to the real work had been done. So he this singing of Deutschland Deutschland. That was sung in the front lines. As these very young highly trained young men were going into battle. All of whom a mown down and Hitler came after that saw the results of first IPE. Nothing like the description. We see here. You know that from that Hitler makes it sound like he's right there in the front rank front line of battle doesn't so he's again polishing image here that's just completely neutral. Polishing is one way of putting it lying golf and said I mean I ran out? He wrote back to his landlord. Gave this guy who wrote to his landlord. He didn't have any friends derived ahead. No family to write to his sister. He didn't know where she lived. So there's a pathetic and rather really squad said dimension to Hitler's youth. He's young lively. He had no one to write too but he's landlord wrote back to him. Saying hours out in front is young guide yearning for approbation wanting a fatherly proud hand on his shoulder but he doesn't hardly knows his landlord is kind of a weedy ext trampers just been put in the in. The reinforcements has yesterday. We had great courage has to be said and he'll never shirked a an opportunity to to to try to do his job. He took on some extremely brave and dangerous mission so he was given the role as a dispatch runner. So what does that actually mean in practice as it sounds he would have messages from headcorn regimental headquarters to the front lines and back so he'd have to run across? Shell swept territory Sniper fire swept landscapes in and out of Shell Holes through. Swamps is pretty pretty rough job and of the first six runners that were chosen all but he were killed when the first year or so of the war so in other words the the the casualty rate of the runners. It's very high. There have been books. Recently which tried to make out that he was a cowed and the the the Ranas were was a fairly sort of bayswater. Job It's just not true. They had to do very brave work and he was highly decorated for easier cross twice. What are the on? Cross twice for his bravery did that suits him that solitary rather than being in the ranks. Do you think he shoots the opportunity for for for promotion? Some of these officers decided that he was not temperamentally given to leadership one of them actually said we didn't think he was leadership material later in the war which is another extraordinary footnote to history that he wasn't leadership material but he was very he was very given to this job. It was very isolated. He he he knew where to get his message. It was in the distance on the horizon with bombs were falling and he'd get there you get a sense that he was in any way troubled like most. Nearly everyone was all of the soldiers were by the the noise the connick Jr the horrors of trench will fit in the first world. Didn't it didn't seem to disturb him. He thrilled battle. He saw death as noble sacrifice. He had very much nineteenth century notions of warfare. He would have excelled in the wars with a sabre. He saw it as as the noblest expression of of the human spirit. We don't really have any evidence that he actually fired a shot in anger and shot someone right in front of him that he ever participated initial pulling out of a gun and shooting someone did. There's no evidence led into the shot someone in anger. He suddenly fired his rifle in the open he was in the infantry for a few days at beginning and he would have fired his rifle that at sort of shadows and mass ranks of Of the British Tommy's but there's no evidence he actually shot anyone but later in mind confident. Certainly the Nazi propaganda slate claim that he they claimed he kept a dozen of the enemy. Single handily with pistol. You know I think. This is ludicrous stories coming late which there's no evidence so we came to the final four nine thousand nine hundred nine and this is the the final year as I say and in these months when Ludolf the German leader really is. The general was running. Germany at this point has got all of these troops from the eastern front and he's he's held his major offensive across the allied lines. And this is the last bid for victory. The Germans conducted I suppose. Hitler must've thought like everyone did in the German army. At that point the victory was at hand. It must've been it must've victory was very close. It was the great spring offensive. Lindahl believe that there was a window of opportunity that we could smash through the French and British ranks in Anzac ranks and this was one chance and many men were finding themselves in the trenches that are in the early stages of the war. This is where Luke Ford. If they they rallied the they regrouped the German army with all of these reinforcements coming across from the Russian front Russia had been thrown.

"What made him such an angry adolescent these yards say that there are certain mysteries in life which we just cannot fathom a mixture of nature and nurture genetic the genetic impulse that that affects our character all of our characters but there is certainly The impact of this extraordinary jarring atmosphere in the home where his father was was the traditional Australian autocratic father. A bit of a bully certainly would thrash Hitler of Young Hitler DID ANYTHING WRONG. And then his former adoring mother who who was always taking his side against the bully father to whose side he would rush for fiction and for anything you wanted. I think that the origins just to go back to your question over his rage is that when he didn't get what he wanted just like any spoiled brat goes into a tantrum throws he was throwing tantrums over and over again whether it was communion whether it was his father into something he'd and his mother would always give him what he wanted. So as you said he was kicked out of school sixteen Jordan which just blows my mind and was he pleased to be Gone Z. Pleased to have been kicked out of E. Couldn't wait to leave and he. He lied to his was lying to his mother. He said. Look what you really need around the house as a man because this is what he's filed. It was talk did and he was saying to his mother. What you need is a man around the house and also claiming these too sick to go to school or what. He was lying again. So what did he do with these law school report when he receives law school report and he cut it up and he went on a binge in that newtown? Fatima wear but certainly uses a toilet paper because he he I think he used as toilet paper on a train in the toilet and he threw it out the window of the train or something. This is powerful but certainly it was discovered and they on crumples and now what about Ski School Kid and it was clearly he'd use it as so that was what he thought of his last school record. I think pretty much the school pretty much. The same of him A nasty little boy who failed and would fees to continue and lied to his mother to get out of school was he the man about the House. He promised once he quit school he was dreaming. He was a dreamy writing little poems and drawings and go to the opera and spending his mother's money on going to the he he discovered Oprah early agent and fell in love with it particularly Wagner operas which brought life. He's great dream of of Germany of Greater Germany and he was therefore not exactly a trade around the house for his mom and he wasn't GonNa fix the ESPN in it in the sink. But that way did know chores he was just too much of an Ati Bohemian. These appearances at the time was impressive. Looking handsome more was there anything compelling about his appearance at the time well Kubitschek. He's one friend Moore members in very clearly and so to those other eyewitness accounts and they will say was a striking young man because he had this. He dressed like a Dandy as addressed address very well but he's face sort of fell away. There are descriptions of his Chin receding and and not having a very impressive face and that but but the one thing that distinguished him for. Everyone was a chilling effect of his eyes. He had these extraordinary penetrating is blue eyes which just looked into your soul as Kubeck said even as a teenager you see how much of that is like from the benefit of hindsight I mean the unites. Oh yes he had. He was quite unremarkable. But there was this one magic thing about him. Is that written after the war? Or is that Lady's memoirs but certainly at the time that trey is referred to throughout his life as having extraordinary is and so even by contemporary would would comment on it. So I do think that that particular trays has been born out by the eight by the evidence but also there was his voice. He would become almost intoxicated by his voice by the sound of his own voice. And he would he would just go on and on for hours ranting about whatever subject into his entities head even as a teenager he was wandering around. Most people got bored of tired of couldn't keep listening to because he would pound away at you. He would look at Portal August goose egg as if as if this he's one friend representative thousands of people he imagined. Kobe's actually said this. He seemed imagine he was talking to a whole crowd. Now that could be. Well be the benefit of hindsight writing knowing that Hitler was going to be dictator and even when even when Kobe at very meekly. You know but At don't you think you get? You should get a job when he was what would happen when he would say something like that would explode. Jobs are mere mortals jobs a further plebs not made people don't get jobs oh man. I am with Paul. Hamm historian his many books. Most recent book is called Young Hitler the making of the fuhrer so his. This young man is quite unemployed but very very well dressed walking around lintz making speeches making speeches to his friend. Kubasak August coup Pacific. Were these guys chasing girls or each other with I interested in each other role in the opposite sex. What they doing the two girls. We question because he's been asked so often and it's been poorly answered. I think because again in the pursuit of mythology to justify or to explain or to vindicate or to Somehow Understand what happened afterwards. Whatever your political complexion the brutal reality. He was just so ordinary he was frightened of goals. They didn't pursue goes. I talked about them. They channel their energy their adolescent energy into opera and music and the grandeur of Germany. They thought that women were sort of a distraction to their. They great plans. A Hitler certainly saw them. Yes he he certainly had a roving eye even as a young young man. He was sensitive to female Feminine Beauty. But it was too scared to to approach them. There was nothing no evidence of a homosexual relationship and Kubeck and Hitler wanted things that came out. It was a real surprise to me. Paul was in the spring of Nineteen Ninety six in Austria. Hitler. Fill in love. Tell me about the object of his adoration plays. The object of his adoration was girl cool. Stephanie Isaac probably a Jewish family the jury's out on whether she was infected you but it sounds as if she probably was. She did not know that she was the object of his infatuation because he never told her he never let her never confronted owner for torture. He never sent her letters until much later to speak to her. Never spoke to her. He never seems to be out on the street corner with Kusak eyeing her over waiting as she with. Her mother passed the certain time of day in the morning each morning. Pass them by maybe. She flashed a glance at him once or twice thinking. There's a young man's another young men's during major a beautiful young woman. Young girl really. She had a lot of suitors in the young officers. That should be then sixteen. Seventeen young men who are pursuing but Hitler convinced himself that she loved him and that they were going to get married one day so given the Tacoma's Isak which suggest she probably wasn't from Jewish family. What does this tell us about? Hitler's longstanding anti-semitist. Now he said he said he came to opinions about the Jewish rice as he called it a very early on in life. What does this really tell us about? Hitler's Anti Semitism. Then it's very difficult to make a con to conclude either way on this because he doesn't mention her in Cobb is not. She is the kind of detail of one's life that you probably might suppress that. I was rejected. And that was the seed or the the spark which triggered his anti Semitism. He never writes about this. He did edge. You have this infatuation for her. For many years for four years in fact later in Vienna. He sent her a postcard. Saying wait for me I will return and marry you. It didn't even sign it so this has been going on for a long time. I don't believe this is the cause of his antisemitism. Neither do I I question. I'm asking US clearly had Jewishness was no barrier to his family in love with He he was not the same as a young man. There's no there's no evidence that he singled out the Jews up until the end of World War One as the enemy the enemy in Kannada.

"So William is I think the only guy we know who stood up to Hitler I mean everybody diplomat for a while. Yeah but they're against guys dry comes up but William like went right at him so he didn't give he didn't give away on the job you wanted but instead he gave him money to gain the equivalent of two hundred fifty thousand dollars. Oh aw some serious go away. That's good cherish. Obviously the relationship is over. Whatever I shall never forget? The last time he sent for me he was in a brutal temper. When I arrived walking back and forth week all regular mood your regular Hitler? Walking back and forth brandishing his horse hide ride wit. He shouted insults at my head as if he were delivering a political oration his eventually is our eventual brutality. On on that day made me fear for my physical safety. According to William that was the last time he ever saw his uncle Hitler. And that's a good thing. He left Germany any in January nineteen thirty nine and return to Britain but being a Hitler was now even worse than when he left in one thousand nine hundred eighty three right and MHM. He got a very frosty reception right to separate us out from his horrible uncle. He then wrote an article for look magazine titled Quote. Y why I hate my uncle. Yeah he told the world what it was like to be Adolf Hitler's nephew including the first time you met his uncle and a rally quote being very close to to my father at the time he autographed this picture for me. That's the Democrats can learn something from William when I visited Berlin in Nineteen thirty-one the family. It was in trouble Geli Rupaul. The daughter of Hitler's my father's sister had committed suicide. Everyone knew that Hitler and she had long. I've been intimate and that. She had been expecting a child a fact that enraged Hitler his revolver was found by your body and so the the implication being that he is fucking his cousin. Yeah and then she got pregnant by him and then he killed it right He explained that uncle off loved entertaining. Beautiful women that he had suicidal tendencies and is intimidation. Write a book right. I mean put an article the paper. Yeah Yeah truly. I'd like this is where the media's like a sympathetic pathetic look at the Hitler's I mean at this point. America's like Hitler bad or good. Obviously Europe is more no. He's bad he's here. He's bad But Yeah I mean people still want the people want the goods on them. "Practicing cultism without approval by the regime, and these debunk IRS who were being hired to enlighten people started to get the stop on their tail. So you know, what we don't really like what you're doing. Because you're undermining the, you know, magicians, circle, the magic circle, and they're magicians you're giving the tricks of the trade away, you're undermining their act like will yet because they're they're doing cultism, and they're making people believe they can transport themselves in talk to dead people and know in clairvoyance in and Hitler in the shop, intervene and say, yeah, we'd prefer you to do that. After all of his supposedly Cultus stuff about how Germans need to be scarred educated. The few bunkers they have are told the can't do the performances anymore because undermining belief in magic or faith in magic. So it's really contradictory embitterment and Hitler's actually friends with the head of the Hitler of the magician circle is guide named helmet Schreiber. I have a picture of them together in my book. So there you go like there's not a consistent policy against a cultism or border science or paganism. They they rehabilitate bunch of freemasons as they joined the party and don't beat sectarian groups anymore. Mum biodynamic agriculture. What are the main pillars of anthroposophy one of the most popular cult doctrines the last hundred years you've probably heard a Steiner, I'm assuming that's he comes up because of Waldorf schools stuff. Find a gun culture says you've got a planet. Certain. Times when the moon and stars there's cert alignments. There's absolutely no proof. It works. It's based on Cosmo biology astrology, you've got almost every leading Nazi promoting it. To the point where even Heidrick who's arresting everybody. Right. Like, you know, what he writes, Dr a and later Himmler, you wanna have biodynamic agriculture farmers. That's fine. Just make sure they're not doing the other anthroposophy stuff that they're not going to Dr schools and say Rudolf, Steiner's personal savior, if they're not doing that. I want arrest them. But it get it shows the ability. It's that the the supernatural thinking that the bothers them it's the potential rivalry with their own politics. Their own ideas around organizations or the St.. At the end of the book, you were talking about Nazi wonder weapons, and I. I've been watching with this Dane, the amount of modern takes on history. Archaeology the paranormal that seemed to celebrate the Nordic celebrate the idea that the Nazis had magic weapons that Hitler still survived. These ideas to me at first they seem like harmless, you know, fantasy, but the more I look into the warm concern that these were actually ideas of of Nazis didn't win the war but wanted to keep the ideas alive. Have you looked at any of that is are these ideas themselves sourced from Nazi ideas? Also, you there's a few different things in the cluster of of questions just raise which are really good one. What I'm trying to show is the banality supernatural thanking not glorify it not talk about torchlight processions at the veils Berg, and yeah, they're evil. But isn't it kind of cool that they resuscitate? Arthur I'm trying to show without being disdained full of people who believe in the culture new age because many Americans do I don't think every which is a potential Nazi how the the absurdity of a lot of this. And how it was usually unproductive. Right. It may have helped them get power among small group of of Germans and get away with certain things. But ultimately undermined a lot of what they did. And the miracle weapons is just a case study of that they had all this great technology, but they often made decisions about whether pursue nuclear power not based on series of Irian physics or World Series versus Jewish physics. They put way too much money into weird projects because Hitler Himmler loved rocket ships in science fiction that they'd been reading in the twenties and thirties and didn't understand hidden forces that were actually real like, atomic physics terribly. Well, because it was Jewish. So they didn't invest a lot in right beer. I use fear is it's wonderful. He's the most important minister when it comes to World War to he's the one in charge of the entire armaments industry..

"And that great thinkers in charismatic leaders, Jesus Buddha and Muhammed gerbo stocks at this seemed to have the ability to manipulate people in this way by appealing to their emotions and faith more than reason. And Hitler thought it was really important. He learned how to do that. So did he really think there is magic that can be manipulated or in clairvoyance? It's not completely clear to me. He did. But he certainly thought enough people believed in those ideas in Germany Austria that he could manipulate them by learning the stipulations and the end the the tone, and the kind of methods of these great charismatic religious leaders. And so that's kind of what I focus on. How how his interpretation of kind of pop parapsychology merges well with the fascination that many people in Weimar have with spirituality curriculums medic leaders, a desire to to be moved emotionally more than rationally and Hitler is able to tap into that. Right. It's easy. Perfect. Is in the right time, the right place to people on that level. You know, you talked about so many fringe believes which were. Embraced by various top nod sees. But but what they coming back to in the in the text was how that within any of these groups if any of them seemed like they were giving out messages that were considered sectarian that they would be shut down people be arrested. They just I don't wanna say crush that might be too dramatic. But ultimately, they really seem concerned about people with similar ideas, but different agendas from existing. So how how did not he's work about crushing all these ideologically similar groups 'cause I really not read much about that before. Right right questions. So two things for context one. We're talking about fascist regime. So it's not surprising that when they don't agree with someone including people on party. They killed a bunch of Nazis in nineteen thirty four. They were worried about having a second revolution if the fascist regime. They're not the most tolerant in the world. They don't always follow the letter of the law. Right. They don't always believe in the rule of law. So the. Back at certain occult groups among all these other groups, they went after gypsies Jehovah's Witnesses to some degree Catholics, even the pan German league, which of Nazis, it was Pat German Yellen ban them, we shouldn't be surprised number one. So people are like is stories. You're like, oh, look, they they persecuted the freemasons, and they, you know, banned the anthroposophic whatever fringe society in thirty seven while there. It's a fascist. State that bans a lot of groups that they deem sectarian. But the thing beyond them being fascist not a liberal regime is they were conflicted when they ban different groups because as you suggest they embraced a lot of these ideas, and they would often make arbitrary distinctions that go back to the broader cult millions of the late nineteenth century. No, the recall to said, I'm a scientist that person's a popular or commercial occultist, which is wants to manipulate old ladies, they don't really want to conduct experiments in a lab. Like, I do right because I have an engineering degree. Of course. I probably didn't have the physics degree. They actually required say, well, I haven't engineering degree x Ray machine as I can catch apparitions, ease it or just manipulating you saying you're talking to your ad that tension between the real occultist or scientific and modern and the, you know, the the medieval popular commercial ones. That for many, right wing culture. Stay associated with Jews were just trying to make a buck that Kantian just reproduces itself in the Third Reich. So what some historians interpret is the Third Reich going after a cultism. I interpreted them being very selective about what they consider sectarian someone who doesn't map onto their ideology or isn't a member of the party, right? Or who is seen to have an independent view in-coming? Yep. You late people on their own. Arrival to Hitler, like Rudolf Steiner. You know, a lot of these anthroposophy..

"There's a lot of Nazis seem to believe in it and beat Rosenberg the head of kind of Nazi religious thinking, they're all more invested in it than Hitler. But if you compare Hitler to Heidrick or gerring, he's far more religious in the way, he used the world e I need seems to embrace the idea that faith is necessary in needs to be kind of instilled in people than than Heidrick who's just anti kind of almost any kind of religion. So hit. Or somewhere like everything in between. He's not a conventional Christian. I just don't see how anyone could argue that he's probably not even a German Christian. He doesn't seem. He doesn't talk about Jesus as great figure very often hill occasionally talk about Christians were persecuted by Jews are all say, no Christianity was good until Paul took over who is a Jew. Unlike Jesus, right? So he's he somehow gotten bits and pieces of this weird area. Nice christianity. But most of all I'd say he thinks there are there are hidden forces. There's there's forces of divine providence, and that probably the best way to articulate or reach those kinds of spirituality are through Germanic and Indo Aryan religions, he talks all the time. But how Shinto is great Hinduism Buddhism are cool Islam as a lot of great elements in his religion of heroism. But Christianity at least in so far as it's relies on Judaism. Is corrupt anti area. It's all about the afterlife. Which is why no one wants to be a warrior in sacrifice themselves for the folk and that is a week religion. And we'd be better off if our people were not so invested in it. So he's very eclectic. I wouldn't say devout follower of anything. But he's clearly parroting a lot of the ideas of these other Nazis and these late nineteenth century thinkers in a very unsystematic way. Does that help on say, yes? And he wanted to follow up to that too into osc about magic that seemed to be important to Hitler as well. You took a little bit about the evidence that we have that Hitler might dabbled with magical theory too. Right. So magic in this kind of new occult universe. You know, the parallels idea of demonic power, not demon like a devil. You probably know all this because of your show, but did demonic like kind of forces in the kind of union, psychological powers of manipulation. And you know, magic is is possibly a real force of charisma bag netted personality now, the more occult oriented think there really are magic that could be harnessed. But what's very clear is that Hitler thought. The field of modern psychology is interesting. He read law bones theory of crowds crab relation. Any also seemingly read given the annotation. A book by parapsychologists called magic. And the stuffy underlined some of it was like, you know, how lucid fairy ideas are good and pre Christian paganism, what is really the most authentic religion. But a lot of it's about manipulating people by using the power of your mind, and, you know, magnetic personality, and charisma, and, you know, those kinds of things so what we have is at Hitler thought. Magic whatever he he meant by it. Wasn't important phenomena. Whether it was a real appearance phenomena mind waves, magnetic, powers, psychological energies or hidden occult stuff that he could use to manipulate people and get them on his side..

"States or Leon Blum's, France. And that's what makes it both. Interested in scary. That pendulum instant institute at that made me, but I think it's probably got some questions about stola g to view, but I just want to sit in the scene a little bit more. So we've been talking about him. Learn referring to some of these projects in haste as well. Was this something that was really governs? Five PM ler did these planes in ideas in the goals? They come from Hitler at all where they really painless in particular Hitler is the most powerful Nazi to embrace all three aspects of the supernatural imaginary described. He he's interested in cultism is interested in the border SCI. He's interested in the pig alternative religion. Not pre Nazi is equally invested in all three of the highest ranking, Nazis Himmler, Hitler gurgles as green, you know, Himmler is the one who's most invested in has the most money in kind of. Energy for it. Hess is probably similar, but has didn't have the same influence for as long wasn't maybe a systematic and getting resources or deploying resources. But of course, he consults astrologers to he he believes in anthroposophy to some extent gerring probably would be of the five I named five or six probably the least interested. Though, he supports these kind of odd experiments of creating prehistoric animals based on, you know, border scientific ideas about evolution in ration- racial breeding that he can go hunt in Poland his cousin who's as well known psychologists works with the most famous parapsychologist, Germany Hans bender, so even greens tied to it. But he if we were just talking about gerring, this wouldn't be that interesting story. But when you bring in Himmler in hats, and then recalls who's hiring, no stra dominance specialist to develop propaganda base that astrology thinking, I it's could influence the allies who frankly, there's no real evidence that that kind of propaganda influence them. And then continues it recognizing the Germans respond very well to Nostradamus propaganda, who's suppose, again invade what country when I mean. That fascinating in and of itself. And then you've got Hitler who is very electic with everything. Right. He wasn't formally educated. Just as smart person reads a lot. So on the one hand he'll make fun of you know, wandering, scholars in bear skins these early right wing thinkers that kind of helped create the Nazi party. But really wanted to talk about pendulum Dowsing ruins all the time says that's not how you create a modern party. And then he asked for a pendulum Dowsing comment or he starts talking about the swastikas is symbol of the sun. God in all these things which clearly show he's been reading some of this stuff for he says world ice theory is the best way to explain the world and agrees with him or they should give an honorary degree to one of the people who invented world ice theory. So Hitler kind of picks and chooses. Knowledged ain't her modern scientific thinker at other times. He's clearly operating realm of faith in border science. No. I just went through a few of them. You could go down the line the books chock full of them. Yeah. Let's talk about Hitler for just a minute. It would be weird to talk about a Nazi book and not talk about Hitler. But a couple of things come up a lot. When people talk about the Nazis when is the idea that Hitler might have been in eighth eest. But. I didn't see much of that in your book. And what I saw..

"About making Germany strong country, which would result and prosperity for the German people who were hurting due to the disruption caused by the Wall Street crash of nineteen twenty nine and the effects of the great depression. So familiar. Literally, he's making comparison after comparison. So Trump getting us a better trade deal Canada. Mexico is like Hitler getting a trade deal with China's like Hitler bringing back American jobs because we're lowering tax rates. That's like Hitler, bringing back jobs makes you a Nazi and keep throwing around that word, man. And that comparison honestly Jews across the country should be pissed off at this. I I'm Jewish. I'm mad. You shouldn't even have to be Jewish. And be mad problem is what makes me mad is that they were dopey Jews out there. I can say that dopey Jews out there that are clueless as hell including mile rabbi here in town. Who is beyond naive and a fool. Because he would agree with this. And a guy like Hitler who literally ordered Jews and Christians, by the way to be rounded up and murdered you compare that to a Trump is doing and you're okay with it. You're okay with it. So Jews literally being murdered. The holocaust. That's okay. Juzar okay with this being used manipulated taken. So far to context, you can't even get into it. To try to make Trump look bad. You're okay. With that. I mean, it's just it's it's disgusting. It's absolutely disgusting. And there should be Jews from all around be. You'll be a big liberal all frigging care. You should say. This isn't right. This. This is not what Trump rounding up people putting him into concentration camps. L? He's really doesn't one well ice. Really? You're gonna tell me that people break the law. There's an ISIS is trying to arrest people that have warrants out for their arrest. It's not exactly what Hitler did with the Jews. Now is it? So so over just here the Democrats for what they are hearing on his aim was to unite the blonde haired, blue eyed, dramatic Aryan people against the Jews the Italians the polish anybody else. Hitler did not start did not support it. But he took over the party with charisma and leadership the Nazis and Hitler became synonymous much like Hitler took over the Nazi party. Trump.
