Two-thirds of Americans favor a $15 federal minimum wage
"There's Something that very interesting in a time of extreme alien nation in US society and intense division. That people feel depending on whether they are a Republican or Democrat. But there's a new USA Today survey. Finds that Americans. Have some things that they very much feel in common. Whether they're. Republicans Democrats. Or independence. And This survey data. Is Very interesting in terms of what people are feeling. About the economy and the direction we're going. And one thing that is clear and was runaway in the survey day you know. Is that Republicans Democrats and independents. Overwhelmingly. Support. Raising the federal minimum wage. And the numbers are. Extreme for any survey today with the polarization. That, there would be similarity and how people responded to the question. And three quarters of Americans. Support raising the minimum wage, which is a significant increase even from just a year ago. So. This data has been going steadily up. As the federal minimum wage has stayed where it's been for Long Time seven dollars twenty, five cents an hour and I remember probably five six years ago. When That Waiver political movement started for fifteen dollars an hour minimum wage I was like wow. So you're going to support that. And it's been something that I've been pretty much tone deaf on is how People feel about. Making sure that the minimum wage does what it was originally intended, which is to allow somebody to earn enough to pay for life's basics which obviously, you can't do on seven, twenty, five, an hour minimum wage was last raised and two, thousand nine. So when there's that much consensus for it. Even the corporate interests that bottle up the congress are going to. End Up, having to agree to some level of increase in the minimum wage now, another area. Where there was extremely strong support three quarters. Of Americans. across the political spectrum. and. Very little difference again, among Republicans Democrats and Independents was about making sure that there's child care available. For what is referred to as high quality affordable childcare, which if you think about it, that is a very, very traditionally liberal position. And there was overwhelming support across the political spectrum. For doing whatever public policy would create. Affordable child care numbers were so strong on this that I'm sure it's at least partially pandemic related. Because There are so many people who've had kids who? Who's schools have remained? digital remote whatever. Zoom what? Whatever we call this online learning kind of thing that's going on or hybrid models where the kids are in school maybe as little as two days a week in person three days a week online it's played havoc with people's ability to work, and the polling shows overwhelming that people want government involvement in creating. Some form of program for. Affordable. Child care and I don't know where that ends up going in the political process but it was something that was very stark in clear in the polling. You know one thing also that is clear is that the traditional lines in terms of economics of liberal and conservative? Have not. Really been in play since the great recession started in two thousand seven that there's been a shift in people's attitudes based on the enormous. Disruption. Of the great recession. That people are more interested. In, government being involved in social services in ways that people generally. Did Not want if they were people who. Would consider themselves or wore the label of being conservative now conservative and liberal. See Eye to eye on things involving. Certain phases of the economy and That will move. What. Happens in terms of public policy it states and nationally.

Maximizing your sports opportunities: An interview with sports coach Patty Luu
"Shoot. Let's think from the perspective of appearance. Let's say we're apparent and we have a child his interested in sports and maybe they've got some talent and sports. It looks like they can take somewhere. maybe at the high school level entry level Middle School Level Navien College Level D Two d one would ever. What's the benefit of working with the sports psychology person like what sort of techniques? do you think they would gain by working with somebody with yourself? They were there. There's they would have more confident kids there will be less family drama due to not arguing over their sports performances so much you learn to effectively communicate with your child about their sports performance. And he basically have evasively. There's basically less family drama more confident kids less stress, less performance anxiety in. Their kid will be able to replicate the magic that they produce in practice through competition because a very common issue for athletes is that they're able to put on a magical performance in practice. However, when it comes to competition that seems to be like the roadblock, they're not able to replicate that performance in competition especially in crunch time. Yeah, well, competition obviously, there's more pressure. It's the same thing in academics where you Norman academic coach if you wanna use that term. And I work with kids all the time that can do all the problems in. Homework time or in practice time, but then it comes the testing. And it's a much more anxiety ridden situation. Without, giving away to shop here but what are you doing? Is there some specific things you can talk about? That you can do to help your your mentor, your proteges, your children, your work with. Get ahead when they're in a competition let's let's investigate that a little bit. Well if parents invest now fake about invest in a person such as myself now, they'll save down the road because I will get your children to the point where they are consistently performing at their best rather than randomly. spontaneously, you'll be consistent so they'll be able to get back. College scholarship have a better chance of getting that college ethics scholarship. Routine okay. So is this done? Is this in addition? To the, Pratt. Let's just pick A. I is there a sport you work with more than others? I wouldn't say that right now I'm in I I worked with athletes in a variety of sports. Let's just say a basketball. Okay for talking purposes. So, we have a child who's a town has made it not even a talent. They just have a big passion for basketball. So they're probably on a team, they may have a coach they may have an shooting code or dribbling coach I know. Is what you're doing in addition to that is it coordinated with that? how how, how, how does that work in terms of? Because I know a lot of parents I talked to their biggest one of their concerns they got lots of concerns and coding myself as a parent is just. Right now, things will wacky with school, but then there in this practice in his practice, then they go to discuss then that close times always at a premium. But So what are you actually doing to put the child ahead? What what's your process or what what are you giving them? Maybe they can't get anywhere else. Well. I help them with structuring their practice a little bit like outside of the mandatory practice in training skittles like if they practiced on their own I. WanNa to make sure that they actually practiced to improve their skills not just practice what they want and When they practice what they want, they work on their strengths that the skills that they light are their strengths and they don't work on their weaknesses. I helped them scheduled their practice sessions where they are actually working on their weaknesses so that they can actually really improves their skills. And they're not practicing same thing over and over again.
How to Learn to Fly
"We came up with a couple of questions regarding. You know what what you might be thinking of, and we hope we hit most of them if not all of them but I I kind of question is, how do you get involved with the the airport community how'd you get involved with the aviation community? Especially when there's a lot of fences almost every airport nowadays has a big fence some with barbed wire on him around them. Kind of looks very uninviting and something that we in the government relations community are sick over but it is kind of the reality of the last twenty years of Aviation Security I guess I'll start off on this question and just say that. There's a number of ways to kind of get your feet wet. Obviously, you're going to be learning to fly either at a flight school or a flying club. So selecting a good one is important and you may need to shop around between different airports to find one that works for you. So. Don't get to married to the idea that you're gonNA be flying at your local airport because you may not. I when I learned to fly, I was living in Boston. There are a number of airports that were closer to be a at the one about an hour and a half away just because. The community, there is a little bit nicer. It was a little bit less busier poor in the flight school there in particular was very good So shop around flight schools flight schools are usually very inviting give them a call visit. May, even take a flight at at a couple. Once you've narrowed down your decision, we can talk maybe a little bit about how to select a good one flying clubs are also great ways to get involved, and then of course, the chapter if there is one at at the airport can be very, very helpful. Just know that if you start with an EA chapter, the Flight School Flying Club at the field may not be the right fit for you may wind up being involved in the chapter one airport that might be great and maybe a flight school at another and that's perfectly fine to be maybe some of. My first thoughts on that and I'd kick it over the rest of you guys for what it's a really great point Tom and I think anybody who's thinking about starting on this journey of learning is is You've got to remember you're the customer. You've got to remember that that it's vital that you have a good relationship with the overall flight school. If it is such a thing and in particular with your individual instructor, and there's a whole lot of different criteria can use to choose. It's interesting to me pointed out that you ended up learning to fly at an airport that was much farther away because it's I have always said that an especially when you're learning flying is one of the easiest things in the world not to do. It's really easy to say, I'm so busy I'm really tired at a long day at work I've you know maybe I don't feel great. Whatever it's expensive there's all these reasons that are constantly forcing you not to do it, and for some people you know an hour and a half drive could be a disincentive. So it's It's it's impressive to me that you made that choice realizing that that the quality of the school and the fit but maybe more importantly for you in that school was more important and was more of an incentive than any disincentive in in having a long drive. For me, there are a number of different factors I mean the. The cost was one of them, the the actual cost of the instruction, but also the the actually the logistics of begetting there was a little bit easier in Fitchburg than it was at the airports closer because I didn't have a car. So I wound up taking the train out there which and it was. Less than a mile from the local train station. So I just go out there with my bicycle, and that's how I'd get to the get to the airport. But. Yeah. When I say shop around flight schools I, think that is really important because. It's you know you're GONNA have a lot of factors that you're going to have to think about costs. Certainly one of them don't don't shy away from that being part of the equation. But just know that you know the The cheapest may not be the best fit for you, and also the most expensive doesn't necessarily mean that much better service they might just be using newer aircraft or. Have more of a a an operation that's geared other areas and that's not to disparage one way or the other how schools operate just have to find the one that you're comfortable with right at I really want to stress that you mentioned eight chapters and you know we don't want to be We're not here to corporate corporate chills. We'll sell advertising when we decide we WANNA do that but I didn't just alienate future advertisers note to self. Anyway. But that chapter idea because when you when you come up to an airport and you see offense and you look around and say what do I do? So calling that fly school can be sort of way through the door but you're you know you're doing that and you're you and the flight school sort of additioning each other as as business partners in a way air, you're going to go in and and make these transactions. If, you've got a good active EA chapter nearby. That's a great way to get in the door to talk to people you're going to get you know there's thirty people in a chapter meeting. It's thirty different ideas on on flight schools and how to learn and all these things. But it's also it's a great place to find a mentor. It's a great place In fact, we even have a formalized program are flying. Start Program that. Chapter will give you a presentation. So lays out all the things about learning to fly, and then they'll assign to somebody. You'll take what we call an eagle flight with them. You get a free introductory flight, and now you have a direct one on one relationships with somebody who can be a mentor as you go forward
Rebranding the PhD with Chris Humphrey
"Really happy to have you here especially given the years of experience you have helping people with masters and Ph ds like just mentioned finding their path and I think a word. That I think is really important is in the abundant number of career opportunities that are out there I think this one key thing that that people are going to. Wealth people need to understand to kind of break this this feeling that they may be failing at life or at least at the their professional life if the. End Up leaving academia after after graduate. School. Yeah it is. It is. So hard to describe when you see the light bulb come on somebody's head in new. People people just say. It. Yeah. And it. It is. What always of joys me on like just when somebody says down they felt or how lost or how they didn't know what to do, and then they say that you I when you're okay now I just. Found the way forward or hope or something you know you just why would why would have stopped? Doing what I'm doing I mean because that's the greatest thing you can do. Even if you change one person's mind or sometimes I talk to one hundred people you know I think if I could. Difference that many people but not like yourself day job what you're doing on your the more that can do it that more intense. We can have and we can reach more people in our own countries or in different languages. or different backgrounds. So yeah, it's it's cool to fail that there's more there's more of us than. Doing this doing this thing. You don't just listen think about being a PhD that just you just have this unique. Bonding Experience With With with anybody else like I just met you but you know it just. It's strange. We everyone knows what they went through, and then just you can just click with people and. It's powerful as powerful stuff. So as I mentioned, we talked before about Chris's PhD and you can find our full one hour and a half conversation on the Papaya she youtube channel. We eventually also talked about what led up to his post doc. Chris. Was Now considering after his post doc and after the his after applying to some lecturing positions and not having the materialize thinking. Okay. What am I going to do an end looking at the non-academic landscape and seeing where he was going to fit? How did you go about that? Were there appears around you who were also having that reflection. How. Was that process? How easy was that process or not easy? I was that that. Exploration. Let's say. He is kind of mixed because I think on the one hand. As I kept getting rejections from the academic jobs, Kinda go to feeling of. Like feeling of running out of time or this is this isn't going well. If I could just get academic job everything would be. Okay. So that was like a downside to it but on the other hand you know. I was really excited by the things that I was saying around me like like the Internet was something that was just really taking off in the late ninety s and I was just fascinated by the internet and this whole and. I mean I. I say Democratic Dissemination of information which is. Not. Disney triple the time easily, but the way. To access to information or study or learning the United. States can be quite elitist or privileged or and causal money and time, but just like the idea that. The anybody can just access any type of information videos and things as well. It was coming along time and could learn anything. They had the Internet connection did just Exchange. My view of the world and so excited me as an educator and as a scholar, this potential and always really enthused by that and could see this trans transformative potential of it and so that's when I kind of thought. Well, this could be an area where. You I would be happy and excited to work in, and then I had to try and figure out. Well, how do I get to that from medieval studies? kind of like the opposite. Of this new of this new techy technological thing. But then I figured out. There was this area of e e learning with a training where people were taking courses that which Clause three more even vote on a CD. You know we're not making it to the web and I just thought is dies That's what I'm GONNA do. I really had to look. For jobs and companies. looked. Learning companies read white papers and things are. Looking googling jobs, you know learning jobs based training and I saw that they were these jobs out Aaron. Didn't necessarily know how to do them. I felt confident that if I applied job I reckon I could I could do that and so that was my plan B. Really that. Stuff didn't work out then come at the end of my funding. This was going to be.

With some people. other than that I, wasn't really like a member member. I mean, you're already Davis is. Probably. Was Okay. But you think it would have been worth your time if you on your like more of. A think it might have helped to. I think it does help. Volunteer, and all that. But I think it was like if you do other things, it's not like. That important to do that as well. You don't need to do everything like. 'cause like we had the martial arts thing and like music. So that was also kind of enough. Basically, I, think our affiliate was enough enough. But if you do want to like other schools than it was probably would be better. When you did your college how many letters of recommendation to give? One. I think to probably a good number but like unless they ask were you don't need to send one. So for the UCF, I don't think you needed to send anything. They don't require you to. And I don't know if there's even a sector for I don't remember. But I needed one for Lake because they asked for one. So just kind of sad one of the ask. The year. I think the subject matters a bit more like major first, and then like math science probably than English foreign language then electives, but it does teach you that you've got along with like particularly well, then maybe that one. Or a class that you did. particularly. Well in. I don't necessarily unless you want to go to private and all that. then. It's for part I think. All right that wraps up this episode. "Memorization. Pronouncing stuff is just not my thing is i. I don't know it's Kinda hard. You know how there's like impaired programs online. Go the go. Ever. Used any those to help you our duty to basically like use a textbook or like just remember learning class. I think we try doing something online but the most we did was like China they in class learning, we use a textbook most of the time I think we had like worksheets and all that. And like activities on the board. But a Wiz live was used a lot in the class and I think that was helpful. In French Mike we don't really learn much. Yeah. Jared and everyone always the teachers like really. As good to know. So I realized that is your she bigger. Takes Heiki yeah. Would you say? Or like. Here W. C. was. Ways In. My opinion but you like reading and I'd say go take. The only thing is I don't like reading. Sounds like yeah. Or. Really. At least Davis you only really one or the other. Is If you get a forum like language, then you fulfilled one of the requirements. and. There isn't a prerequisite either really fulfils besides that. So you really only need one or the other. Have you ever considered I mean you could. Not taking the exam I. Mean I know you did this for human deal but like We generally consider that like meter twelve hours after that like I figured that like. Taking. Evangelism, her. Like the worst the doesn't like you lose a bit of money but like. You study hard for just. Kind of like newsouth you should at least get a free. And in most cases that gets you at least like unions. There's a lot that change since I graduated. I guess like. They're all on my. It's weird yet joy classes on life, and now they have its some questions some teachers can assign. There's all this. Talk. Our coaster. Enrolling in turn like size of seniors. prelaunch. Early glasses and. Match located directly us at least the forest is worth that much of a problem. The workout does get in the way of some things 'cause. That is a small amount of words not going to lie I. Did one more for every single one but I had to cut it down a bit. Few of them were actually just to fifty exact. I. Only. Wanted to find some privates, but I got lazy I didn't want to apply for them anymore after I realized that I had to write a few essays and I was like. Oh. And also. I would say not to do this but I mean I Just, what with my friends were doing doing hats last an exposition. Davis because that's where most of them went for launch. Yeah. I mean it is a nice school though I don't regret. It is just. One of the main things was that I knew a lot of people that were going there too. So it was just easy and everything. And Carlo standby like if you have at least one person should be fine. Would you change it now that you think about it like because. I know you didn't. Privates. I would've tried applying now. But. Like. Can't do that knocks now anymore it's like. Well, that's the problem. I did most of UC's. All of them except Ler But only those are the weightless thing. And I can't say I got like the Klein from them because I didn't like go off the weightless. Never GonNa find by. Any UC. That's what I say like. I. Don't take the wait list they. Gather decline. That's pretty impressive. I'll. What did you say like? Or like. I actually don't know but I. Really. But. I, guess like the Essays Rubik Part. extracurriculars did help. Because I think the. Martial arts. McLeod's did help. Like it made the applications, look a lot better and like. At a lot more content in them. If you take them all out. It's kind of like a blink application, not gonNA lie. Just, your Info and the. Like unless like you put all the stuff in the next fills up and it looks a lot better so I think it was that. I mean I know like one of my friends I don't really know what he's on but like what'd you cities? Forty Ninety forty nine. Okay. So he got like fifteen twenty. Sat Right? Yeah and he's trying to take. and He's thinking like there's so much out petition. So. If you want to go into like Ucla House can be hard. And Does something like robotic from I don't know. It doesn't hurt to get higher I had a friend that got one, thousand, nine, hundred and fifty, nine leaf and I think she wanted a perfect I don't think she ever got it. She ended up going to, San Diego But I think a higher score does help a lot. It does help you get scholarships and stuff like money and all that. But I had a friend that are also at twelve fifty and she wanted to La so. Two opposite end of the spectrum. Fifteen ninety didn't get into Berkley. But I think also because she didn't do much else. So the extracurriculars, do help a lot. As really the only thing but like a good score is like John Gordon to. Look a little bit of everything hopes. ABSO- life. Unique Act We know anyone took it ahead of. Another friend that took it he he didn't do that well on the sat. So we went to the act he'll get thirty, two, thirty, three so he. Said and I heard the was easier if you're like more into science. So it really just based on what you're better grab because both scores are taking the same value. You never read took sat. No is look at the one time so. What's Sport I You would like me take what you just. Even if you like a road that's more like you just never retail I would've tooken it if I got under a fourteen hundred. Yeah that was like my like bare minimum thing. Ask they. Yeah I fourteen hundred. If it was any lower than that, I would have taken at least one more time to get higher. I was fine with my score. So I was like, yeah, like I'm pretty sure I did study a bit more like took it another time I might have gone a bit higher. But I was like. I got really. Lazy. Getting on. I. Think, some people would like to know what was your sat's Strategy. I don't think they want to know. So. I did one of the Khan Academy practise sat's the night before. It was like one in the morning and I was I should probably get at least one practice at the end. And I took it. Told me I got fourteen twenty and I was like okay I remember that because it was a four twenty and I was like okay. I am a Muslim then. Heard Khan Academy One's pretty similar. Yeah. Off the. Helped, lead me now like going through like some subjects. Like with the review and all that. Like, concepts come up that I don't remember. I don't know about other. I don't go to those but physics and math like never quite a bit. But yeah, I took one of the Khan. Academy once and.

"Was fun. But. I didn't take them. So I have nothing to say about that one. I wish. I grover I think she's still teaches. I liked her Yeah Teachers Really. Enjoyed it a lot software year. Took physics. Ap Physics with a mislead. yeah I that class to? I mean. I was a physics major beginning, so it must have been something. I don't know I. Just kind of liked it like physics was kind of fun. But. It was really like the basics of physics like I didn't really get a good deal of, but yet until college and then that's the rest of it. Yeah. No. But for that class. Understanding the concepts really helps a lot. They're not that hard either you just think about it it should be. Junior year. I took psychology and. CALC AB and. Lang like, yeah. English competition language at that one. Laying. I don't know much of that. Owing it was all right. That one was kind of just What I learned there but I. Guess It's just. Knowing vocabulary kind of helped. How important would you say is knowing like those rhetorical devices in like? Stuff like that I think that's Important I feel you should be important. It's Like beneficiaries to learn like his us, they have a whole like this may be like, yeah there there was a lot like there was like twenty something I don't remember how many but it was i. think it was important because asked quite a few on the exam. So that was good to know. At least we went over that. CALC AB math I. Don't know how to explain that one is what to do. What you say is the hardest thing. I. Don't remember what the hardest thing was. But for some reason, the only thing I remember people complaining about was related rates. Always ask like okay. Optimization. But I don't know if that comes in. Comes in the end only very. I think they would ask you like one or two questions about it. What is that? Oh. Yeah. Some more be part. It's like. Oh it's like giving a rectangle like a given area or something. Like find the length of the sides that would. Have the most perimeter. All. Something like that ultimately or Even total perimeter find the. Like find the correct length and with that would make the area like the biggest. For the smallest in that case. Like so many ways. And math three and stuff like they would ask for only a few those. And I couldn't even. Use, the river stuff it's easy off. So I think people just get confused because it's kind of like confusing to understand that. But like if you just what to do, then it should be fine. All memorization but I like that class it was fun Guy Still enjoy. Now it's why make minoring in it. I find the topic kind of interesting psychology, human minus two. Members. You think reading a how important is reading the text. Owens like. Important. That's really what I learned like. Or? How I learned most of the time. Because one of my friends like the other person Alec? Renzo. Like sometimes, they do a psych corrections on what their wants. And like pollock a lot of those like super and just. Basically, you remember facts like, yeah. Like definitions of you know you know. I mean, if you do it and it's really good. It a bit Pacific some questions. But. Yeah I mean. I going to be in the first semester? And second semester isn't it? what did you change the visit? Just I don't know if I change reading as a whole letter. I just remember stuff about the second semester bit more I. Think he was just kind of like more that I was interested in and stuff that I found cool and all that. And also I think the second had less stuff 'cause like more preferably exam A. Bit Easier because you're going over everything. So broad. So wasn't ask specific. Because Something like that. It's like, okay, I don't know. It's not. Just. Like. Oh and then you. CALC, BC and. Oh yes. Fun Classes. Tell you a lot and like. I didn't think my own college, but the the friends I had that said that most of the stuff was kind of very very like the. Lower bio stuff like the intro BIOS. It. It does help a lot. And I think the way she teaches it is pretty good 'cause. You do learn a lot. And BC is just kind of midst same things like math again like. I don't know how to wait now. Obviously, just math how different. Misfire Suardi. DC Yeah on the show and you had your. So. Low. Say like how different? From. My ABC's of Eastern. I liked minority bit more. Saraswati's teaching was Kinda like. You've got to do what you do. And if you need help, she's there. But like I don't know the way she was kind of more. was kind of like we're focused on you learning like yourself and all that but like guided learning. And there's law there's kind of just like electric. I do prefer like the firstly more in college is really more justly the lecture one. But Both are okay though. I still find them to be fine because then again, it's like mad. Yeah, Madison a you know it then you know it, I don't know how else to say. Yeah I. THINK THAT'S Okay. All Ats? Other way. Would you say like you would? There's others. You say that you would have taken others if you had the opportunity you. Wanted to take. Some AP's and different years Those are really all the ones that wanted to take or I want to extend his work. Schedule conflict and all that. But I. Did want to think that one but that was really the only one. In amendments does have a lot. Like the other ones were like really language and all that, and you can really only do one language and I didn't I don't know person I just don't like languages. So I thought that the German three so I didn't take a baby example fast. You like Germany. was. Enjoyable I liked it. Until I figured out that foreign languages just weren't my thing. was just kind of hard for me. And I figured Oh yeah. No after I'm done. But I think it's fun for people that do enjoy it then. Truly the way teach I like to. Really. I mean they were just just aren't for me. It's like. Some people like Matheson for them. Far Languages No. It's just hard for me. It's too much.

"Into. Disneyland. Before going in like a security checkpoint. Some pretty funny moments where they're really what is this classical Iota Mike? Never prevented me from coming. There's sometimes that stop for a little bit. So this is an example. Before What? I like. You heard. Cyclones are left. Now bronze the actual interview. And because I did this while we're waiting in line for some the rights, it's not gonNA be like Send Queen is coming back from noise and announcements going on. I try to minimize him but you might be able to hear. Me, I can't really do much. Is, enjoy. A love. Right today I'm joined with. Travis. Greater You Second Year College. What College Davis UC Davis. That's very impressive. What are you majoring in applied math and maybe statistics With them. Declare the minor for psychology. But I started that. How's your timing college? Fun. Like There's a lot different from high school. Like These, better though I enjoy more freedom and all that. You're just playing your own stuff. The classes turn okay to like. they're kinda harder but like at the same time, it's like your own pace so. I think it's a lot. Better for. Most people. So it's searing. Host people listening are probably in college I probably like Ice Pool you. What are tips? For people to expect that. and. Go to your classes you know gone classes important. I didn't go to most of my class lasts border. Yeah. Thousand mistakes off. And then. See That was a good one. Going to class. But do you think it really matters a lot like the the great when you gets a college offers depends. If you still want to go more like if you want to go to Grad school and you matter if you WanNa do stuff during college matters. But if you plan to just like get a job after college and all that, then it shouldn't be the most important thing. As. You your resumes and stuff. You really only put your GPA and stuff if you're applying as you're like going through. But afterwards, you can actually leave it off and they wouldn't care. Because by then you'd have the moment everything. So. That's the most born thing. But I mean they do matter though 'cause like. Doing. As you're like in college does. Till I. Don't like tank everything but. Getting a B. or C. isn't the worst thing by far? It's like. You do like clubs or extra. into or like outside of school. I went to a few club meetings. I'm not actively involved in anything it's to school and all that. But. I'm looking to start the teaching stuff and the internship texture. apply for that now. I. Don't know when back to me but. I sent in most of the applications. Like sending the final. Transcript. I D- plans to join anything you charity dislike stay about the same like not many clubs. I know club or anything but internships and stuff I'll do that. I WANNA do one of those but probably not the club things I don't know. I mean hundred. Interesting and all that. It's really the three main things gonNA club, join the crowd or something. Or are you like some jobs jobs actually? Have you want to do something? It's one of those. Yeah I was about to ask like. I see a lot of people at online they always say like. There's He should be like. or You should do like. Different names and all that like many of you. Think they're important. Born to at least. Like Doing something probably really important because like that's the only way you'll actually like connections and all that. But. I don't know which was the most form but just. Getting to know people spending. Like an action that all that like the more people you know the better. You think. during high school math. You didn't do a lot of those. I was an officer do clubs like in the last two years of school. But in the beginning I didn't do much but I mean entered shifting something. I didn't do any. High School you think you would have done that back. It's harder to high school like engines of because I think they mostly look for like at least sixteen eighteen. And all that. So I think you would've hard but. I don't know I just didn't feel like doing that back then but now it's like getting closer to like actual. Adults of. Yeah. So. Considered like looking at jobs are like you have an idea of where you work. In the feature or after you've. If I like an office. Like. I. Don't know madness. Dad's numbers all the time. So like I can actually just sit down and do that whole day and I'm okay with that. We. Just. Look somewhere like. Or? Like I'll probably start with that or something like that. Is the easiest. Way. But I don't know like I don't want to do something. To do with science still not like. I don't want to do the science, but really I want to do the data part of it. So I, do want to work in a lab to, but I don't know. Any of those are open. I look into that yet though. Like you don't have a like a particular company minor like just like anything only. Like at this point. A job. I'm happy. I saw. Yeah. We'll move back because. Most people listening probably. Yeah so I want ads like. During high school. Like which AP's tape. Like how would you say? Tip I guess on each. Or something Karnal order to Human Jarvi and freshman year. It was interesting I enjoyed the class I. Didn't think the exam because I didn't gotta do that well on it but looking back, I probably should have. Because it because he examiners that hard you really think about it. Like they're important but they're not that hard. So I probably should have done it. It's worth the money. Like the unit are worth the money. Or Ninety five. Yeah like. They're not wrong though like ninety five seems like a big number now. But like each quarter, Davis is a five thousand ally. I kind of I would take the ninety five over that any day. that.

"About just being bored at home, having like thing to do except like it around and make music, and like watch Netflix all day. I mean I think the Corinthian has had that much of a negative effect on me. Because I do have like lot more time now to make songs you know so been like out a lot. More content may not actually working on mixed tape. That's GONNA. Sometime within the next few months, but it has given me like about more time to work on new music like experiment with new things I guess I'm a little more bored than it was before, but I mean it's not that big a deal to me. Just to ask like Teacher Music Dan mix tapes coming out. Called, teenage heartbreak, the mix tape and dumb, going to be ten thirteen songs I haven't decided yet. which songs on keeping in which ones I'm. GonNa cut bomb almost finished I'm GONNA have like a few featured artists on it can sue. Those are yet because they haven't got the versus back yet, but M and it's like my favorite project that I. Worked on this point yet, pretty excited, will probably sometime in July or August. Have at is pretty exciting so any thing from extra credit. Esso extra credit actually not sure because I was talking to Merle few days ago. We're hanging out. You know we all different things that we wanted you once high schools over we only have like one year left no as a band on talking to him. I was like you know. Do we really WANNA? Like go back in record this new EP I'm in. You know we might end up just trying. Trying to do a couple more shows if we can knock. The restrictions loosened up in in stuff and not really drop any morning. Music just played at shows and stuff. Just because no, it takes a lot of time energy to like a new record, and we just don't know if we want to do that since we only have like one year left together as a band, but we definitely do want. A couple more shows for we. Have to break up. So like after high school, there's not really a plan I guess executed. Yemen extricate. WOR got to end in the senior year because all going in different directions. I'm I'M GONNA move to La might continue to pursue music. All the other guys have like from plans of what they WANNA, do after high school, but extra credit will unfortunately have to end. NO IS GONNA. Open up a lot of new beginnings. I guess for where I can go with my music and I choose to do after high school. Positively. 'EM IN so he said after high school. You've found pursuing music. For sure I hope to get. To apply for in get accepted to allstate La and do their commercial music program 'cause thinking really like benefit me, and like maybe a better musician, and also because it's like school is really really cheap compared to most schools. Don't WANNA be in debt for like ten years got an Iffy. No, but musicians are generally pretty broke a ST L. as like my first choice, definitely want to go somewhere in La. Because that's where like the music industry is in like. That's what I WANNA do. I wish you the best of luck. This same. So, like speaking about school, wise, then house, high school like for you. You know to be honest. A kinda high school kind of sucks. You know when I was in middle school Black Watch like lemonade mouth. The Disney movie and I'd be like Yow Dude High School's GonNa be so sick like going to like get detention together, and like and like start start forming a band in the the teachers GonNa hate us, and we're gonNA like be so cool in like they're going to be kids getting thrown into loggers and getting their heads dunked in the toilet and like. Real, high school is nothing like that is like most boring thing. Sit around for six hours day in classrooms. Listening to people lectured me, but It is what it is I've made a lot of cool for instance high school stuff, so it's not all bad. Financially, not what I was expecting and done. That it's ending soon and that it gets to go on and different things in life. He say like you enjoyed no school more. Infrastructure Bill School I. Think was like the happiest time of my life. Probably at a cool friends like an it wasn't that hard left to study or anything. The stuff that we did was really that hard so I just I focused more on having fun, and just doing whatever I wanted. Now it's more it's like. Hours of homework to do each night and a half to actually study for a test or fail, and it's like while more work, and for like ninety percent of the stuff that I'm doing I'll probably never use unlike the real world so I feel like I, know I always sit around. Like? Productive could be if I was at home making music, but Let's whatever man I got. Get through. It's that I can go into the real world. Do It actually wanted to? Would you say you like prioritize music Like how do you balance music and schoolwork? Just try to like try to get like mostly BS in some as in school and so I kind of do the bare minimum of what I can to achieve that, so that I can dedicate like the rest of my time to my music and stuff I. Still WanNa be able to get into like in okay school like college, so I can't just like slack off on all my school stuff in only do music. I definitely like big time and prioritize my music We're like getting straight. A.'s or something because Newsweek is something. That's a lot more important to me that. Rebecca says that balancing music and schoolwork is something that has always come natural for her since she's heavily involved in performing arts on campus because she's so passionate about music. It's honestly something that she never had to worry about time-wise since she's never really in a rush to create new content anyway if she ever needed to prioritize anything due to crunch time. That's where she would be to ask yourself. What's happening sooner? either. She studies or prepares for an upcoming performance. Distance Learning for you. distance-learning learning on it was. Kinda cool because I could just like. Join the classroom at just slight Dr Drawing or something and doing something random might room at really have to like. Sit in a desk for hours, and also I can just like dip when I wanted to leave like most of my teachers really cared being missed like interacting with my friends and stuff every day that was like the only part of school like really cared about like I miss seeing my friends at lunch every day, and like you now at creek after school, but being. It's whatever I I just go to my acid. Sometimes. We just chill, so hasn't. It hasn't been all bad. So. How did you feel about school ending so abruptly? Honest like I was pretty excited when we and they announced that we were having like a break from school has a current and stuff. We're all celebrating and stuff because of our school. Everyone else was sick school. We thought that was pretty cool, but As time has went on I guess Kinda wish that you know. We could have had more like a nicer ending to our year 'cause it was really dislike body new at school was Never GonNa come back. We got out of school that day, and I guess it would have been cooler to have prominent stuff, Mike. All of the regular ended the year. But I mean no, it's it's not terrible. I've had way more time to do things that I actually wanted to. I can still like. Hang out with my friends in Siham whenever I want so bad..

"So that is school swat next up. We got names. I de name right okay. So I've kind of gone full a documentary movie. Docu movie. Assigning isn't it. I was thinking mockumentary. But it's a four is a mockumentary when it's sort of a joke of a document. Yeah he's a fake documentary. Yeah Yeah So. This is a real documentary. But it's in a movie sorta form and I shall explain hunker so this docu movie is about follows a production company trying to make a high school movie so the whole casting process of trying to find the right cast for the film and everything so this is a working title. Well I think this is. The title is called quota so Terry Long Time I think it needs much explaining exactly and I think the tagline should be quote a gone man with leads if as so people realize. It's not just mad. It's not exactly so This lot production company are being so like PC and so by the book with their quota. That even like with the blind castings gone like so crazy so like a Martin Luther King for example in the film happens to be like the two they give it to the Chinese girl and then and even though you've got really great male black actors the perfect for the role like when she. I think you should have it locked Yeah because she's fed up so I have got friend named that by the way. It's not just a random made up name. So yes so the whole idea is that they have to close things but the kind of just getting it wrong because they they want to make sure they get a trends on both both sides both sides of Trans They WanNa make sure they get like every single ethnicity but the getting like you know the the boy who works in the Indian Curry House with his parents and is an authentic Indian restaurants been cast as the blackmail still in it. It's all messed up. And so the whole idea is just. We're actually just watching production companies. Get this wrong. Is there a way of ramping up the satire in this because I think if it's too Po Face one of a better term. It might miss its target. I think there might be a bigger punch. If it's not played for laughs but satirized in the way you can you can give them an actual quota which they have to fulfil. Yeah literally every that's true. Yeah and also I think the whole idea of like safe. It was a black male role and giving it to a Chinese go a full. That was like even more of a p state because you see happen all the time when people are amazing for the job but then they just don't get it because of certain things because and then he also discredit people who have got the job because they are good at it because then it makes you think like Oh my just brings must be Hodgson. The direction and Sculpture Hanson. Plays everybody thank away so so this is a an actual so it is an actual documentary about a production company making high school movie yet. That's right so what. What are the scenes like? What's the story progression? We watched like we see that process but like where does it end up where we start in the process we could do well base it on all the other ninety s foams of high schools like basically like she's all that like ugly girl gets a makeover and then she looks exactly the same. She was pretty before which takes glasses often puts the hair down and all of a sudden. We can be kind rewind situation where we have. We see parts of the finished movie at the end. All we go to the premier and we see everyone's reactions and we see the movie like that all at the disaster artists does that uh-huh. Yeah this is like the millennial version of the cynical high school although like Witty High School movie because now I guess students that give them much more power than like four of his being the up whereas we were forced into crowbar into. Do you think kids nowadays by this movie night to you. Do I think do you think they buy it? Yeah I don't like the rough edge this kind of stuff that we were more attractive to. I'm I'm now damning. The entire youth of the planet should probably stop talking. I think I feel like because they've got so much stuff to watch like. They've got like all the calls like series and stuff like that they might need. Yeah not in the needy nutty. Yeah over saying that young people are just very needy very nerdy so stones World Morte died. Incident was one black and white says alcohol..

"Next story? This story is a little bit This is kind of embarrassing but like I kind of think it's funny and I think I even thought it was funny in the moment but it's still a good story so I do track sophomore year. I did track and it was my first year ever running like never done anything any running for before so I was not super experienced and after kind of training for a little bit. They decided that I would be really good at hurdles. Because I'm really flexible and I can jump pretty high for no apparent reason. Think is because I was a cheerleader. So like if you actually think about it. Doing hurdles to people even know it hurdles are. I don't think I even knew it. Hurdles were before I learned how to do it. Basically in case you don't know it's a track where basically you run over you hop you run as fast as you can and then you do this specific like leap in a sense over a raised hurdle. It's fucking hard in like it's weird that it even exists. It's probably the weirdest sport I've ever heard of like it's the weirdest track event in my opinion because it's so odd but actually fucking loved it and I got really good at it really quickly. I mean not like the best but like it just came to me really naturally and I tend to be the type of person where if something comes to me naturally at least a little bit then. I'm super motivated. Whereas if I start in I don't even have a head start at all. I tend to give up which is Kinda fucked up. Maybe should speech therapist about that? But yet hurdles was amazing. I really fell in love with it. But basically there's two events that I would run their one hundred hurdles which is basically like if you're looking at a track right like a high school track. It's like fourth of that track so you run that it's very short. Whatever and then. The other event is three hundred hurdles which is three fourths of a track. Okay so imagine this. Imagine running three fourths of a track. Wild jumping over hurdles. Okay and going as fast as you fucking can. It's not like you're spacing things out. You're going forward the whole time. You're sprinting the whole time. Bitch Lemme fucking tell you. That was not chill. That event was not chill at all. Okay hundred hurdles. Absolutely I got first a few times in. Jv that's okay though because it's still winning just not in Varsity but I was also not that good but I still got first a few times but JV though but Andre Turtles is great. Enjoyed that journey game. Three hundred hurdles never went well for me now. Let me tell you one time. I was racing actually at the school. That funny James Franco went to high school. That I was running the track at so fun fact anyways. I'm running and I'm at the last two hurdles right second to last hurdle. I accidentally off the wrong foot. My back foot gets caught on the hurdle and I eat shit I. My foot gets caught on it. I roll forward and I was like Oh shit. That's so fucking embarrassing. But I got up and I kept running and I actually placed second to last. I still didn't get last so I don't know if I should feel a savage or if I should just be embarrassing I tripped but the best part is that didn't happen just once actually happen twice except the second time was a little bit different so I was writing three hundred hurdles again and I'm coming down. The homestretch actually have a video of this on my twitter. So if you can find it you're the CEO of findings I was running and it was like I think the second to last last hurdle. I don't know what went through my mind but I ran around the hurdle like it came up so quickly so like I didn't. I kind of zoned out and I forgot that I was like doing hurdles and I thought that I had run over my last hurdle but I still had one more in. I didn't see it so then I just ran around it because I was on the end so I could just run around. I got disqualified. But I think it's a funny story to tell. Go find that video my twitter anyway. Those are my embarrassing high school stories. I feel like that's all I have. I hope you enjoyed those. I hope they're relatively funny or entertaining. Hopefully took your mind off the fact that the world feels like it's crumbling Now I'M GONNA go on twitter real quick and answer some questions. You guys had for me about high school or do anything. You wanted me to discuss about high school. First question was going to a Catholic school influential over your personal beliefs or opinions. That's a great question so i. She went to Catholic school as a non-religious person. I found it super interesting to learn about for sure but it definitely didn't really change my opinions on my own spirituality what that is to me and whatever. I've kind of always had my own belief system in a weird way. It not really necessarily match up with any specific religion or belief system. But like it's my own kind of thing but I'm definitely a spiritual person and I definitely believe in different kinds of things I almost feel like I pull from. I pull the parts of different religions that make sense to me in have my own belief system in my head if that makes sense like I literally like have different little things from everywhere that I believe in like I believe in Karma in like offenders you know what I mean. So it's I mix and match. I guess but I think that school is kind of like going to school and learning about religion. Strictly about Catholicism was like I might not necessarily be Catholic person but I can appreciate some of the some of the things that they believe in lake some of the moral lessons I think some of them are really useful. Like you know some of the stories. I thought were actually very meaningful for anybody. You know what I mean in some didn't necessarily resonate with me or somebody didn't agree with but I also don't judge you know what I mean so anyway. That was that what group slash stereotypes. You hang out with a high school. I was going to the type of person where I was. Kinda homeys with everybody or at least tried my best. I feel like I would talk to anybody and be friends with everybody but at my school. I don't really feel like there's as much of a stereo type thing because there was no guys. It was all girls very chill but I do think that the friend group that I tended to hang out with was probably more of the I mean I guess in a sense they were kind of the popular kids. But I didn't really like to look at it like that and I didn't really necessarily fit in the group personally. To be completely honest. I tried my best but it wasn't like it wasn't the best fit for me. In retrospect in you know whatever but yeah that was like my main friend group but actually ended up splitting off in hanging out with Like I would split off into small groups within the big group and kind of make my own little mini groups in so I didn't really have you get what I'm saying. Here okay next. Are you upset that you didn't get to go to some highschool events examples prom and graduation weirdly? No I did expect to feel sad about it but actually no sometimes I do like once every blue moon but honestly no because I am really grateful for my life in the way that it panned out and I wouldn't want it any other way and to be honest I would've fucking hated going to prom anyway and then I probably wouldn't out a date. So do you think it's next question? Do you think it's disrespectful? When people call you a dropout I mean to be honest. I don't really get offended very easily. So somebody wants to call me a dropout ruffle. My feathers go for it. That's fine I call myself a job as a joke. Sometimes I'm not but I mean it can kinda suck. I think the reason why it sucks the Moses because I was a good student and I worked really hard at school and it was like something that was really important to me at the time. And like somebody calling you drop out can kind of make you feel like? Oh well. All that work was for nothing just being called a dropout for like getting straight as my entire life you know what I mean that kind of can blow because it makes you feel like all your work went to Shit but at the same time. I know that I worked really hard at school and I know why I left school and I know that I technically completed high school in so people can kinda say what they want and yeah might be. But I'm not going to get offended. I try my best not to get offended my favorite subject. That's kind of an innocent question. My favorite subject was science. I loved biology a lot. It was really for some really good at biology. I don't know why I just killed that. Shit our next question. Somebody asked me if they should bring their own lunch or eat at the cafeteria. I'm assuming that you are not in high school yet. So you're going to be there soon because you'd probably know whether or not this food at your schools. Good or not. If you decide based on that we'll let me tell you I've never liked to school lunch all right. I've never fucking like that. It's nasty I feel. There's germs everywhere. I would say. Bring your own lunch. Although at my private school the second year I was there. They provided lunch because it was part of our tuition so we just got to eat for free in the food was like I mean it was all right but like it was good in the beginning when they first went in the beginning of the year and then they just started getting lazy and then it tastes like shit so and the lines were really long. Bring your own. Lunch is kind of the move in like it's also a lot healthier like you know what's going into that shit but I also think that if you're good school lunches in it's like affordable or whatever then do that full your heart babe on you next question. Have you ever cried? Because you've got a bad grade. Fuck Ya yes like a thousand times. I would get so upset with myself. I've cried in the bathroom of her grades in. For what for me to call the fucking dropout dammit. I wish last question about school. What do you miss most about it? Actually nothing so anyways. That's actually nothing. I literally don't Miss Anything about highschool..

"Anyway. So now I check literally once a week to make sure that my read receipts are off and that was my first story. It seems like so insignificant but that she was super fucking embarrassing to me. You have to imagine being me. Put yourself in my shoes for a second and think about if that was you. You'd be very upset. Okay moving on. That was a fun one though I liked that story. I it's embarrassing but it's funny okay. Next story is a period stories. All the boys skip a few minutes. Probably don't WanNa hear this. He'll probably vomit. Whatever whatever okay so I went to a football game with all my home. You know guys and girls both afterwards. He went to in and out. Because if you grow up in California you know post football game you go in and out. It's just what you do. You don't question it. Everybody knows the drill period. So we're all in and out and if you never been to an in and out basically the seats are all like white acrylic. So it's like it's like white plastic seats some sitting in the booth with my all my friends. Whatever we're like sitting there were. I couldn't eat anything in a fucking vegetarian but I would hang out my friends anyway. 'cause I just wanted to be included. Okay and as we'RE GETTING OUT. I'm sliding out of the booth right and I looked down onto the white seat. Blood smeared all over the white booth completely. Because like I I was sitting closest to the wall so in order to get out of the booth I slide all the way out of the booth right. My sorry this is so girls but like whatever like fuck it enjoy it. I was like Oh my God what do I do? I can't cover it like how do I I was. I didn't know what to do. I was like how do I cover this? And we were leaving and like everybody was walking away and I was like in one dude. Seem Jake. Actually I'll say his name because it's not embarrassing actually embarrassing for him. It is for me. Jake was like dude. What's that knows like? I don't know I don't know I don't WanNa clean the walk away. Walk away. I was like I think it's I think it's like I think. Sadden Punch in the navy dragged it and he was like. Oh yeah that makes sense. He had no fucking idea. You knew what a period was at that point literally and I'm like a That's what it is but like let's let's go. Let's go because we don't want clean it right because because we're savage teenagers they don't WanNA clean anything up. 'cause WHAT'S CLEANING? I don't know what that is. I don't even know to fucking go. Oh my God. Uber Uber Oh God we have to go well it was in fact my menstruation in and out seat and I I do feel really bad because they did not clean it myself. And in retrospect that's really fucked up in now if I bled anywhere like if I did. The federal happened to me again which. I hope it wouldn't but anything's possible. I wouldn't care to be honest like I'm so happy that I've evolved into the human being and I could be like yes. That is my blood. Sorry but like when you're in high school you don't want anybody to know that you're a human who poops burps. You're supposed to be perfect right when you're in high school so that's how I felt. Anyway I was like nobody was allowed to neo. Not that I that I had my period. That was off limits. I don't know why that is like people are so weird about bodily functions when they're young and then as you grow up you just get over it but I wonder why that is anyway like if I have a bigger in my nose. Now I'm like a word like help guide my finger and my nose and you know what I mean but when you're younger booger Ooh.

"Tom prince Francis back, and Roger Weiss, we are back to full strength on the show. And we are talking with cell Costantino was announced that he is step down at Niagara Falls high school of the basketball program and before Roger has a question for you next. Oh, yes. L what I wanted to ask you, and you may have slightly headed towards it's hard to tell because of social media and people can miss identify themselves. But some of the the people that have either you hear what they say directly or they might say directly to you. Tony alluded earlier that you know, you could walk down the halls of Niagara Falls and find five guys, you know, not only beat your team. They would beat him handily is the element that you're causing all these problems related to that element is opposed to the players the people directly related or friends of the people that are on your current team. I let me say I don't know like five guys that could beat my team this year. I have a pretty good team. One year that was the one year that we were seven and thirteen that was towards the beginning. I will always live in infamy. Obviously is the only losing poaching. But whatever, that's okay. I gotta I gotta be known for. So, you know, what's funny? Like like, again, I everything always gets dressed down to parents. And because there are those situations. I would have to say I have had some tough parents in the past don't get me wrong. But this year's group of parents were really good. They were really good. I think we we get a small crowd of people that come and they come to games, and they try to make themselves relevant, and maybe dangerous don't have much going on like we you know, we go to high school basketball game to watch high school basketball players. We don't go there to watch a coach coach for ref ref or people in the stands who in holler. So I just think it it's for the small group that was burdensome tummy throughout. The years. I think it was people trying to make themselves relevant who maybe they just don't have a whole lot going on. So not necessarily even related to the kids on your team. No, no, no. You know, I I had a situation a couple of years ago, where gentleman was screaming and crazy and every now, and again, I very fortunate from a district standpoint that our athletic director handled every situation that came about nobody ever turn thing. Everything everything in our school community from our superintendent to our AD to our administrators to our teachers Clinger's in the building everyone has been nothing, but supportive in my time there, so the important thing is when people walk in the gym, you can't look at them and say, this is a bad thing. We everything has reaction here. But I had a situation where one of my kids would be recruited by a college coach. And the guy called me after the game. And just I got ask a question that guy's not related to him. And I was kind of like, no, no, no, no. But the guy was yelling things to the kids. Don't listen to this or do your own thing or do this? And that and I don't think those people realize how quick if I'm lucky that I had a relationship with the college coach or could have affected the kids recruitment. Hey, good morning to you Frank Wolf, w we really appreciate you taking your time to join us. I talked to a number of former players last week after the announcement was made and the influence you had on these gentlemen was overwhelmingly positive in the things they had to say about you was almost like you were a guide to them. You went above and beyond. For a lot of them. And not all of these kids were blue chippers there. You had kids that made me not have ever seen a lot of time on the floor that were very cap lamented of how you handle them throughout their high school career before they made it to high school. You had known them through the PAL. And even after how you'd stayed in touch with them and one guy in particular said to me because I had asked him he said what's going on up there because I'm on social media, and I see how they attack this guy day after day year after year, and it's the same for five guys. And this guy said to me, and he was one of your top players. I'm not gonna say his name. He said Frank those guys couldn't play and they were upset because they thought they deserved more time. He's like Frank. They were not good enough to play on that team with me. They weren't they weren't good enough, and they're heartbroken and they're upset because they weren't good enough to play and they couldn't handle it because their friends are playing well and they're sitting on the bench. And there was a reason why there were sitting the bench because they weren't good enough to play egos. They're still bent out of shape, you know, five ten fifteen years later, whatever it is. You know, I know you'll have been in nine years, but they're still bent out of shape, and sell it gets to me sometimes to hear when I a good man who goes out of his way to help people gets beat up through social media, and some you, and I know you're listening to some you guys oppose stuff about sell. You guys are so off you guys are off your rockers khloe what you're talking about one of us. Think you were going d one or d two you see all these guys making all this money. And you think you're gonna make it, you know, there's more to life than basketball. There's more to life than high school sports and seal Constantino is one of the coaches in western New York that made put an emphasis on what are you gonna do when it's all said and done when you can't put that jersey on anymore. How much better are you in life sale was raised men here? And look what happened L, Monaco. You know, it's the same thing. These parents step over the boundaries. How about sister Maria? This is another one. Yeah. You can go on and on about you know, coaches being let go for different reasons of people have not figured out that they have power. They have an avenue to out a coach that they don't disagree with maybe the coach yelled at their kid during practice, and they don't like that, you know, in this today's day and age where our feelings are hurt at the drop of a dime. Anthony in my day. I would have killed the be the fifteenth guy in the basketball team the fifty guy and the baseball team the thirty third guy on the football team. Just once in each one of those sports, there's a team picture C number. Right. I don't know fourteen. That's roses number saw us at number fourteen. Pence me fifty years later. I would have loved to have been. I wasn't good enough. I realized we're in a time period. Where people the armchair quarterback thinks they know more what's going on out there. I mean, come on. We've all done that we stayed at home, and we alad scream at whoever the Buffalo Bills coaches because we think we know more you don't you? Dope. No more. Coach. Why don't you tell coach or become you? Hold back. I gotta say the resumes for that head coaching job have to be a stack this high right now, the people you see on social media going about how much they know about basketball. How great a coach they would be if they had a guy like Willie Lightfoot or whatever if I had them we do this. Oh, yeah. Put your resume impel put your resume and can you show up for work on time? Can you show? Can you hold a job number one? Let me give you an example. All right. You know? Every off season. I'll I'll watch courses and do things on coaching football. I think I have a pretty good handle on the game of football. Then I'll sit down with a high school coach and realize I don't know Jack Jack compared to this guy. So you know, you gotta you gotta knock it off as a fan. It's okay to be upset when your team loses. I get that. Or you didn't get but don't pretend that you know, more than the coach out there. So I'm sure that drives you nuts. Yeah. I let me tell you. I even have my name mentioned was just a marine, and I mean, L Monaco's, a friend of mine, and I respect him for all his years of basketball. And the fact that what he's done to help kids too. So I I feel very lucky to even be mentioned with with those names. Yeah. You know it. You try to get past it in ten in a different world. You know, when I first started over like. My, you know, my my son was only two we obviously not coming into games, not this and that I could take it a little bit more and don't get me wrong. This is not a bad thing. Like, we I'll tell you this. I have received so much positive feedback from the community and the Niagara Falls community. College coaches, high school coaches, the whole western New York community, and I have received some negative feedback. But that's okay. You need that negative feedback at times to keep you humble and keeps you grounded. And it makes you appreciate all the good thing. If you don't have a little bit of negativity. What was the reaction from the high school community? I mean, you know, an awful lot of high school coaches out. There have many reached out to you to ask what happened or to talk to you about it. I've gotten a ton of calls and emails that were really I mean as far as. Jack, leisure mcquaid. I mean, all the local guys Ryan fruit show at Albany academy. Guys that you get to know over the years, and you think you I like to think. Always dealt fairly with the mall. So we develop a friendship, you know, how it is coaching becomes its own little union. Sure on point. I think one of the things that that coach local cope sent me was you know, I know you didn't why all of this which I really did. And again, you know, what I really I really wanted to move on and be passed this. The only reason I really did. Today's show is is I know what is good. You guys are for western New York high school sports. And I I appreciate what you guys do not just for basketball. But for all the sports, but I'm hoping this is my last one I'm hoping this is yet. But the one local know what? It goes. Hopefully, if anything good come from it. It opens up the conversation awareness and not just in high school basketball. But maybe the guy running the travel hockey or the little league baseball sits down with this people say okay, well before the steamrolls us, and we're. More famous for the wrong things. And we wanna be are. We going to handle these situations. So hopefully, some good comes from it. Yes. Well, let me ask you this coach a the other coaches at Niagara Falls high school in the various other sports have any of them been harassed throughout their careers in the community. Or is this strictly a basketball thing? Well, I I can't speak for any of them. And I don't I can't say he I remember this guy told me this and that so I I I of my personal knowledge. I say, no, I will say basketball is kinda like the flagship program. You know what I mean? Like right all the success from the lease L days to the old five team to you know, I mean, it's just been big. Again. I I appreciate I console. Appreciate the on the court success. But I I hope that's not what I remember. Like, I look right now, I always tell people they say how many wins you can I really need it challenge corny. But I don't know my record. I know I got twenty two kids that have graduated from college or currently in college. I got to the military, and I got four seniors this year that are all set to go to college. Not all those kids play basketball. And I certainly don't mind to take credit for that. I just like I just want the fact that that is a culture of what we're trying to do with student athletes is Niagara Falls. And that's absolutely outstanding. That's what it's all about. What's next for you sell? I know again how much you love coaching. And hey, if you ever watch we have roommate Niagara Falls junior football club. If you wanna.
